《The Egotistical Ruler [DROPPED]》 Prologue remastered First off thank you moderator/admin who redirected this in 1 hour instead of 24 hours, yes I creeped on the forum for 1 hour becuase this is my first fanfiction. Second This series should update mainly on the weekends and I''ll try to upload several on the weekend or just do excessively long chapters to make up for it.
Adjusting this chapter to fix some things.1. going to eliminate Royal Road, too damn hard to keep consistancy.2. Longer chapters and more background. 3. The MC will now have a name, I''ve decided to go with Lynford as per Dolphin''s suggestion since he was first, there was only 2 votes but he commented first, plus the suggestion was very good. 4. Remastering every chapter like this. Lynford always dreamed of ruling over others, although this is impossible in modern times. Even if he tried becoming the president of his country, America, he wouldn''t have that much power and he''d mainly be a scapegoat for Congress''s stupidity. Plus you can''t run for president until you''re 35, and he''s only 18 so he decided if he can''t rule in real life why not in a game similar to real life like the new game "Nintendo Fantasy Chronicles". The origins of this game was very complicated. First off Nintendo managed to steal back the main market share from Microsoft and Sony as a result of a single glitch and thinking ahead. Nintendo seeing new technology coming out such as the Oculus Rift saw the chance for a whole new market. They decided after many negotiations to buy the rights to use the same technology as Samsung used and created their own version which was considered by many to be insuperior. But not giving up they released it alongside another product based on the Wii Remote and Nunchuk, the Wii Glove which read the movements of the hand more accurately but didn''t have any buttons. Coming with the release was a realistic boxing game aimed towards youngsters that had band aids appear instead of blood and wounds. The copycat Oculus Rift and Gloves made the game very immersive and well enjoyed by kids and some adults. In the character selection screen however there was an empty slot which had a glitch where it could be selected, which created a glitched avatar without any features. The featureless avatar was very creepy so kids and teens alike loved it, many used it in online matches to unnerve opponents. Before Nintendo could patch it, modders jumped in and hacked it to customize their own features since it didn''t have the same safeguards the other characters had. Some added in skins to play as their favorite character from other series, while others added in effects like blood. Most of them played online creating matches where you could have a Darth Vader who when punched got dents in his armour, aliens that spewed purple blood and guts, Pandas wearing boxing gloves, and some even managed to incorporate Mortal Kombat like finishers. Eventually Nintendo managed to patch the game and received some charges from parents and others for not reacting fast enough. Also the modders and others who took advantage of the glitch complained so much that Nintendo re-released a version of the game at half the price without safeguards on the characters and set it M for mature. The game received such high ratings and sales that Nintendo managed to pay off the charges and even made a profit. After that they continued delving into VR technology and became the dominant company in VR. Around 20 years later they managed to create the first true VR game using all 5 senses and based it upon all the novels, tv shows, videogames, and graphic novels that were created in the past about VR and Fantasy. The main inspirations were LMS, SAO, LOTR, and Final Fantasy. SAO''s digitalizing of slashes was very inspiring for the non-mature version of the game for kids ironically since SAO is very mature and dark. LMS was used as inspiration on how to shape the continent and several of the monsters. LOTR of course inspired the many races and the relationships between them as it is pretty much the Holy Grail of the fantasy genre. Final Fantasy inspired some of the finer elements of the game like the steampunk elements that a world full of magic is bound to have and some of the races not covered in LOTR.
[/hr] Now back to the main story: He promptly ordered a Nintendo Coma that arrived within 1 week. That of course isn''t the real name of it but people called it that because people in it looked like they were in a coma. The real name got forgotten shortly after it was revealed because even the employees and CEO started calling it by the more popular name. The game itself has been running for 3 months already but there was a delay in it''s arrival to other places despite it''s advanced translation system. In that 1 week he went about his life as usual and did minor research about the game to find out what he was going to do in the beginning. [box border=1 cellpadding=0 cellspacing=3 width=80% bordercolor=#202020 bgcolor=#f5f5f5][col colspan=4 valign=middle width=100% bordercolor=#202020 bgcolor=#f5f5f5][pc]Lapse into the World of Fantasy Chronicles?[/pc][/col][col colspan=2 valign=middle width=50% bordercolor=#202020 bgcolor=#f5f5f5][pc]YES[/pc][/col][col colspan=2 valign=middle width=50% bordercolor=#202020 bgcolor=#f5f5f5][pc]NO[/pc][/col][/box] A case of content theft: this narrative is not rightfully on Amazon; if you spot it, report the violation. -Yes but what else is there to connect to? Lynford thought ''Wow that many scans seems overkill'' -Sarcasm detected user creation process started [box border=1 cellpadding=0 cellspacing=3 width=80% bordercolor=#202020 bgcolor=#f5f5f5][col colspan=4 valign=top width=100% bordercolor=#202020 bgcolor=#f5f5f5]What username do you wish to be known as in the game?[/col][/box] -Emperor [box border=1 cellpadding=0 cellspacing=3 width=80% bordercolor=#202020 bgcolor=#f5f5f5][col colspan=4 valign=top width=100% bordercolor=#202020 bgcolor=#f5f5f5]Choose from 6 current races in game: Human, Orc, Elf, Dwarf, Hobbit, or Viera[/col][/box] He thought to himself ''Wait that actually worked,I thought that this name would be taken for sure and I''d have to choose something else, Great! 7 races? I thought there was only 5 available, did the Asians already discover and unlock a few? Might as well not complicate things.'' -Human
Do you wish to play the mature version or the kid''s version? The difference is mainly blood and mature relations.
-Mature obviously, who knows how much the kiddie version will nerf things.
Choose from 3 available genders: Male, Female, and Hermaphrodite
-Male, so one of the differences rears it''s ugly face so soon haha. Then a avatar that looked just like him except with thin clothes appeared and a voice rang out. -Do you wish to alter your appearance or leave as is? -Keep it the same, my precious needs no altering
Choose your starting city from the list of available cities and map. Starting stats and skills, if there is any, will be configured there based on your race. You will be unable to leave the city for a total of 2 weeks or 3.5 days in real life to allow people to get used to the new environment. Warning combat is different here than other games as the realism is higher it makes even beginner mobs hard to kill alone.
Then a map showing the world appeared, unusually it was flat rather than a spherical hologram like most maps are like nowadays. Also it had a key showing the relative distances on the map in caparison to its true size. The world was a Pangaea like landmass as it was only one big piece of land surrounded by water with only a few lakes and scattered rivers. Lynford noticed something funny right away as he watched the trailers often. - Hey this map is only an eighth of the size advertised in commercials. The disembodied voice responded "You can only start out in lands already discovered by adventurer''s or the original start. The rest of the land retains a ''Fog of War'' to beginner''s until they are trekked upon." he thought to himself ''Oh well, Guess I should start out somewhere easy to take over, like a militaristic state." -Put me in the most militaristic Kingdom there is. "Teleporting to the Kingdom of Gerussia, Village of Sicheren Untergang A bright flash a light whisked our MC away while he thought ''That sounds German, good thing there''s an ingame translator or I''d be screwed''
How''d you like my remastering? Comment below. I tried my hardest this time, The names weren''t very creative and my backstory might''ve been lacking but I''ll add in more details later also I''m going to patch up and combine a few chapters. 7/26/15 edit: Cut out useless link and copied chapter. Planning to revamperoni. Chapter 1 remastered: Village of Sicheren Untergang From now on the MC will be referred to as his in-game name, Emperor.
Emperor spawned in the square of a medieval-ish square in front of a fountain covered in cracks. The surrounding buildings all looked very old and in a state of disrepair. Looking around he noticed that he was the only beginner spawning here and there were only NPCs in sight. He thought "This place must have been discovered and unlocked to beginners just recently, there''s plenty of soldiers everywhere so earning their favour is the first step to taking over. But I should level up a few times first and upgrade my strength and charisma first to make it easier." He filled his water canteen at the fountain because of his preknowledge, thanks to surfing a few forums beforehand. Then set off for the North gate. Upon reaching the gate the guards there blocked him. -Stop outsider, by orders of the king all of Gerussia, champions must stay in the place they started for a month because of the danger of dying. Emperor thought ''So that''s what NPCs refer to players as, but all I see outside is a few chickens wandering about.'' -Why? Those are just chickens, nothing dangerous and they''re domesticated animals. The guard on the right said "My name is Tim and I swear upon my name, those are no ordinary chickens. Sure most chickens are domesticated and there''s a few inside the village but those are wild ones that escaped in the past and became feral. They''ll attack anything that approaches them and will gang up on you if you attack them. Someone as weak as you would die without even taking out one." ''Sounds like wild dogs combined with Legend of Zelda chickens, I guess even beginner mobs are hard. Though I should fight them to get used to VR and run if I have too'' "I''m going anyways, I can handle myself." The guard on the left said "Doesn''t matter, orders are orders" Emperor thought to himself ''That ruins my plans, what shall I do now?'' -Hrmm but that poses a problem as you may guess by my looks I''m a perfect candidate as lord over this village. How am I supposed to prove my skills. The guard on the left said "What?"
Skill acquired through special action, Eloquent Speech. Elegant stat created.
Tim suppressing a laugh said "Oh I''m sorry for not realising before my lord. If you clear out one of the waves of monsters that invade the village every week before it even reaches the village people will become aware of your greatness and proper position"
Quest: Repel the wave Difficulty: D Time Limit:None In the village of Sicheren Untergang, monsters attack every week. This puts the village in a state of constant disrepair. Tim the guard wants you to prove your worth by destroying one of these waves before it reaches the village. Proving your worth will force him to recognize you as your lord despite him not being serious. Rewards: Fame, a title, and unknown Failure: Tim dies or the village is destroyed Effects of Failure: Nothing since you''re not being taken seriously
''Not being taken seriously?! That''s insulting but lol he''ll have to eat his words soon. But did that skill do this?'' -Open skill info on eloquent speaking
Skill: Eloquent Speaking Rarity: Uncommon Level:1 Your absurd way of speaking makes people want to go along with what you say. They do this for their own amusement or just to make you go away. Creates unique options and quests with characters.Success rate based on elegant stat and skill level. Higher skill can lead to even stranger quests and situations. Don Quixote would be proud.
''The skill window feels slightly insulting somehow but the skill seems really useful. But just uncommon? I guess that''s okay since I''m a beginner but I need some rare skills soon to get ahead.'' -Open stat info elegant
Stat: Elegant Current stat points: 11 Rarity: Rare Elegance is required for those with noble blood whether inherited or trained. The higher the points the more likely that those below you will listen to you while those equal and above you will respect you. Makes your avatar look more noble. Side effect: Those oppressed or less fortunate may treat you with contempt.
''Now that''s what I''m talking about. Oh Ted is staring at me, guess I should accept the quest.'' -Nice, I can do that as soon as soon as I can leave in 1 month. But where can I train to take out the wave until then?
Quest Accepted
Tim says in response "You''re the lord, just go away and get lost. You should get to know the layout here anyways." -okay then I''m off Emperor thought to himself ''Dick, I guess I''ll ask around town.'' Our MC walks through town and noticed that all the NPCs were depressed and covered in filth. he thinks ''There''s a fountain in the main square, I understand the depressed looks but the filth is unnecessary.'' While thinking this he bumps into an especially filthy man who''s unusually happy. -The name ''ere is Schmied, What''s ''ours? Emperor responds in a slightly confused tone "My name is Emperor and I plan on ruling this village soon"
skill use successful
This content has been misappropriated from Royal Road; report any instances of this story if found elsewhere. A loud laugh bellows from Schmied, causing his entire fat belly to ripple as though a xenomorph was trying to burst out of his chest but couldn''t. -Well if we''re both stating goals then I plan to be in the ole'' pub within the next five minutes. You look like your trying to look for something? -Yes I wish to train so I can destroy the monsters that come every week Schmied replies "there''s the place where the kiddos train, you look a bit weaker than dem, it''s over dat way" pointing at a conspicuous building that looks like it''s had a dozen other uses. ''He''s so friendly yet how can he blatantly insult me so cheerfully. I should thank him anyways.'' Emperor after looking at it for a few seconds turned to thank Schmied but he was already ambling off presumably towards the local pub. After entering the building he saw a bunch of training dummies made of poles hammered in ground, half of which were broken or in a state of repair. There was a small group of people training inside but rather than other players they were NPC children. Emperor then realised these were the only children he''s seen in the village so far, even a girl was training and all of them were filthy. He thought ''The poor little urchins, is that dirt some sort of fashion statement?'' He didn''t see any sort of instructor so he went over to the kids and said "Hey scrubs, what do we do here?" One of the kids with an oversized hat replied "You pick up a stick and hit the dummy, What else could we do?" -Can''t you practice some sort of fighting style on the dummies Another kid that was using a rusty shovel instead of a stick said "What are a fighting style?" -A fighting style is*(extra emphasis to correct the kid) a way of using the sword so it''s more effective like certain slashes and stabs in conjunction to not give the enemy any time to attack. The kid with an oversized hat said eagerly "Can you teach us the fighting style" -No I cannot because I don''t know any involving swords, isn''t there someone that comes here to instruct you?" The only girl in the group of three children said "Not really, but Ted comes here once in awhile. He''s the guard at the Northern gate but he has long shifts so he doesn''t come often" Emperor thought to himself ''So that''s the name of that other guard, but really no wonder this place is in ruins. Everyone is depressed and the younger generation isn''t being taught properly. If only I had a way of training them yet in a way that benefits me.'' Gaining an epic idea Emperor ran off promptly, leaving the training hall, Emperor took Tim''s advice to heart and started running in a random direction. After a short while he asked a local where the smithy was and he pointed in the direction he just ran from and gave some detailed directions. "Over that way about 7 blocks, then turn left 4 times. Finally turn right and walk forward until you see a yard full of scrap metal and trash" ''Oh so it''s near a scrapyard, sounds easy to find'' Emperor backtracked and headed to the Smithy and halfway there he bumped into a familiar face. Schmied said "woah dere no need for such a rush, where you headed?" Emperor instead of answering responded with another question "I thought you were going to the pub, why are you here?" Schmied said a little angry "The pub was all out of booze I''m heading home, I grew a few potatoes awhile back and in my basement I-" Emperor interrupted Schmied and said "Nevermind about that, I''m going to the Smithy." "Well I''ll be, you''re in luck I''m headed there meself, ''ollow me." Schmied said then waddled off in a completely direction than he was given directions to. ''Hrmm maybe I took a wrong turn somewhere.'' Emperor obediently followed Schmied to what looked like a dilapidated junkyard with a single shack. There was mounds of scrap metal scattered about and rats freely moved about without fear of humans. They entered the shack which was just an especially large mound of scrap metal and a improvised chimney made of dried mud. Inside it wasn''t much better with rusty tools and mugs scattered about with a bed that looked more like a Japanese futon with torn sheets in the corner. Schmied then said "So what can I do for yer lordship" and then bellowed another laugh at his little joke. Emperor thought ''Schmied was the smith?! I guess it makes sense when you think about it. He did say he was going home then said seemingly contradictory that he was going to the Smithy. Also he has a "Smith" feel to him with his large size and filthy body. But then again everyone is filthy here.'' -I want a set of metal armour, use your cheapest material and just make it thick. I''m going to do moving target practice with the kids at the training hall. Schmied looked him over then said "Ye don''t look like you can take that kind of weight, and how''re ya gunna pay for it?" -After I become lord of this town I shall make your shop into a proper place for a blacksmith of your skill, and I don''t need to take the weight I plan on strength training at the same time. Schmied got angry and said "I built this place with me own 2 hands and ye expect me to just accept yer offer just because it''ll be better?" "Yes" Emperor said in a hopeful way
End of chapter 1 REMASTERED, Combination of the original chapters 1-3. Took several hours but I fixed some mistakes, added a few new things, but of course it still needs to end in a cliffhanger. Expect more action later on, either late in chapter 2 remastered or chapter 3 remastered. Write your responses below. This is semi-reader interactive, if you want something I''ll do it or completely ignore you. Next chapter: http://www.royalroadl.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=3539 Chapter 2 remastered: Village of Sicheren Untergang II First off thank you whoever rated my fiction first. Please rerate this after reading the remastered chapters. P.S. rating an FF with 3 cookies in it''s beginning stages is a dick move, but it''s not a 1 or 2 so forgivable.
skill use successful, eloquent speaking leveled up
Schmied said "Ok, sounds good to me."
Chain Quest: Upgrade the Smithy Difficulty: E Time limit: 1 week after becoming Lord/3 months total Schmied the smith has agreed to make you Sh*tty armour in exchange for you upgrading his blacksmith shop. Schmied is very patient since this deal is heavily in his favour. Though his patience is not infinite. Need to become the lord of Sicheren Untergang to complete. Rewards: Don''t have to pay for armour, increased familiarity with Schmied Failure: 1 week passes after you become Lord of Sicheren Untergang and you don''t upgrade the Smithy, 3 months pass without you becoming lord Effects of failure: Familiarity with Schmied lowered and he will hound you until you compensate him.
''Awesome, this skill is amazing'' Schmied then added "Should take about a day to make the armour, I''m off to get drinks want some?" while heading for a hole that Emperor hadn''t noticed until now. Emperor thought to himself ''A bit more time until I usually go to sleep so might as well test how alcohol in VR tastes like'' -Sure
Quest accepted, Familiarity with Schmied increased.
''So just accepting a quest or offer for drinks will increase familiarity, nice.'' Schmied dragged out a few nondescript containers from the hole then poured the alcohol into 2 of the mugs that were lying around. Emperor saw some greasy stains on and in his mug but thought to himself ''It''s VR so who cares about a stain or 2 or the 5 inside this mug''. He took a sip then screamed "F*ck" as he saw the system message and tasted it.
You do not meet the drinking age of your respective country, the taste has been converted to apple cider. You can change what the taste changes to in settings.
Emperor thought to himself ''Screw this I thought this was a game, it''s not real alcohal so why does the law apply. D*mn Nintendo afraid of getting sued I guess, whatever I''m going to sleep.'' Schmied asked "What''s wrong, too strong fer ya" mistaking Emperor''s sour face and cussing for not being able to hold his brew. -No I gotta do something, see you tomorrow Schmied Emperor then left the shack and logged off while Schmied was too busy getting drunk to respond. After logging off he went to bed after setting his alarm to wake him up in 8 hours. Some might argue why not just sleep in the game then have free time to do other things since time is 1:4 in-game, but that''s unrealistic. Sleeping in game would certainly get rid of mental fatigue but there wouldn''t be enough time for physical processes like blood cell management.
~a little over 8 hours in real life and 32 hours in-game~ When Emperor logged back in he was back in front of the Smithy/shack/shop whatever the hell it is. First thing he noticed was that his satiety was low so he ate some pre-provided food(mystery jerky and stale bread), and some water from his canteen. He thought ''This isn''t that bad what''s with all the complaints on the forums, but still not up to my palate later I''ll need to hire a cook of some sort''. He then went inside since his armour should be ready. When he came in, Schmied for once wasn''t happy and had red eyes. -Hey Schmied is it ready yet? Schmied had a pitiful laugh that made his stomach jiggle and said "It sure is, though I was drunk when I made it so it may be uncomfortable. Here I even identified it so you can see its stats though you may not want to." Emperor touched the armour and a window popped up
full body armour: Sh*tty armour Defence: 200 Rarity: One of a kind An armour made by a skilled blacksmith while he was drunk. It''s one of a kind in the bad way as in "Why the hell would you make this?". Its foundation is sound and the armour is thick granting high defence. Unfortunately the rest is sh*t so there is several bad side options. Requirements: no level requirement, 100 strength Side options: -75% movement speed(20% extra as you don''t meet the requirements),+1 elegant stat Durability: 279/300
Schmied helped Emperor put on the Sh*tty armour which was a combination of several low quality metals and rust. Emperor needed help putting it on because it was very heavy. As Schmied said it was uncomfortable but fit, but thanks to the stupor there was several unnecessary things like an improvised crown on the helmet and metal jutting out in various places. Support the creativity of authors by visiting the original site for this novel and more. After putting the armour on, Emperor attempted to take a step but immediately fell forward face first.
15 damage taken
Emperor thought "That failed, the pain isn''t that bad but the system message was annoying" -Turn damage messages off After getting up with Schmied''s help, Emperor headed off back towards the training hall.
Strength increased by 1
"Nice, I''m getting stat increases just like I thought." Eventually he arrived at the training hall and ate some mystery jerky and drank from his canteen. Needless to say he was tired from the trip and he tripped several times so his health was low. Also he got several stat increases for strength, agility, and just 2 endurance. The 2 endurance was from the falling over part. After he rested a bit he entered the training hall.
Current stats:
Name:Emperor Level: 1 Class: N/A Alignment: Neutral Health: 110(100 start, 5 from each endurance stat higher than 10) Regen: .12 per second(.01 per endurance stat) Mana: N/A M. Regen: N/A Strength: 20 Agility: 15 Endurance: 12 Wisdom: 10 Intelligence: 10 Elegant: 12 (all stats start at 10, +1 from armour) defense: 216 ( 10 start, +200 from armour, +.33 per endurance stat, +.1 per strength stat) Attack: Varies( cannot be calculated due to lack of weapon, attack style, and attack skills)

Emperor walked into the training hall, well it was more of a shuffle because despite his stat increases he still can''t use it properly. The kids noticing him ran over looking at him excitably. "Sup'' scrubs I''m back and I''m going to teach you how to fight properly" said Emperor. The kids instantly became visibly disappointed after hearing his voice. One of them even said "oh it''s just the weirdo from a few days ago". "Don''t be like that, I''m going to teach you a fighting style" Emperor said in response to their disappointment. The kid with the oversized hat said excitably "You learned how to fighting style while you were gone?" "No even better together we shall create our own fighting style" said Emperor The kid with the shovel said "How are we going to do that?" Emperor replied "Easy we will-umm I''ll explain that later for now you shall train under me, so tell me your names." The girl said "I''m Katy" The kid with the shovel said "I''m Keith" The kid with the oversized hat said "I''m Kyle" Emperor thought ''Hrmm I was expecting something weird like Schmied but come to think of it the guards had normal names too'' -You can call me Instructor Emperor or Emperor Instructor, whatever flows better. Let''s start with how to fight honorably, surround me and beat the crap out of me. Without any hesitation the kids began to excitably hit him like a pinata at a birthday party. Emperor thought ''Ooh the armour is sucking up the damage quite well. The only reason why it''s already drained a bit is because I didn''t let my health fully restore while resting.'' ~1 hour later~ At this point Emperor had received quite a few endurance messages from being hit for so long. The kids at this point were breathing heavily but still had faint smiles from this unique experience. Emperor said "Okay, that''s enough for now let''s take a break. You guys look like you need one, a CLIFFHANGER that is"
Such a perfect cliffhanger that I had to reuse it despite remastering the chapter. You may have some questions about the stat table but I shall ignore them, all shall be revealed in good time. Combination of the original chapter 3(the second half) and chapter 4. Next chapter: http://www.royalroadl.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=3540 Chapter 3 remastered: Village of Sicheren Untergang III First off this is the final remastered chapter, after this it''s all never before seen(not really my story contains some references and generic sh*t).
After a short rest with Emperor polishing off the remaining mystery jerky, he decided to start the next lesson. "STRENGTH TRAINING" Emperor suddenly shouted, scaring the sh*t out of the scrubs. Katy said after recovering "What do you mean by that?" Emperor responded "We''re going to lift heavy things then put them down and then big surprise lift them up again" Keith said confused "What are we going to lift?" "That is a good question and I would answer that question if I knew the answer. Let me ask you scrubs instead, is there anything worth lifting here?" Emperor stated
skill use successful
Everyone except Emperor sat and thought about what to lift. Emperor''s armour made it hard to sit and get up so he didn''t bother. Besides he knew something special would happen because his skill activated. ~5 minutes later~ Kyle stood up with a shout then before anyone could question he let out a squeak of disappointment and sat back down. Suggesting he had an idea but it wouldn''t work. ~2 minutes later~ Kyle stood up a bit more sheepishly than before and said "I heard the wall over by the East gate collapsed, maybe we could assist in its reconstruction?"
Quest: Wall Reconstruction Difficulty: F Time limit: Until the wall is finished The Eastern wall in the Village of Sicheren Untergang has collapsed due to the strain of several waves of monsters. Help the villagers reconstruct the wall alongside the kids. Success: Depends on your contribution, increased familiarity with the kids Failure: Do not help with the wall at all or a wave hits before the wall is finished Effects of Failure: Decreased familiarity with the kids or a monster wave makes it into the village rendering most of the villagers helpless. Warning: If you refuse this quest then the effects of failure may happen anyways
"That''s a great idea Keith, let''s head over there now."
Quest has been accepted
"But I''m Kyle not Keith" said Kyle "Oh that''s right, I''m sorry your names are a bit similar. Anyways let''s set out to the Eastern wall." said Emperor Keith and Katy stood up and followed Emperor and Kyle as they headed out. The going was slow due to Emperor''s armour but the kids were still a bit fatigued so they didn''t mind. Emperor of course received a few more stat increases along the way so he enjoyed the slow pace.
After arriving at the broken section of the wall, a person who seemed to overseeing the reconstruction called out to us. The Overseer said "Oh it''s the little kiddos and some weirdo, whatcha need?" This novel is published on a different platform. Support the original author by finding the official source. Kyle called out loudly "We''ll be helping with the wall reconstruction, give us a job that requires lifting." The Overseer responded "Lifting eh? Well we need more things to patch up the wall with, can you go along and retrieve some scrap from Schmied''s junkya-err I mean blacksmith shop?" Kyle started running off towards Schmied''s place without replying forcing us to follow him. Emperor apologised to the Overseer for their rudeness then set off as well. At Schmied''s place we tried waking Schmied up to tell him we were using his scrap but we couldn''t wake him up. We started to lift up pieces of scrap metal. Keith and Kyle competed with eachother on how much they could carry at once. Katy picked up only 1 piece and was already heading back. Emperor was struggling in his armour to pick anything up. ~2 hours later~ They brought down a decent amount of scrap to help the villagers speed up the repairs. But The wall wasn''t even halfway done yet. At this time Emperor and the others were resting after working hard. Emperor only had stale bread to eat but his canteen was mostly full since he refilled it earlier. *Sounds of dogs barking* All of a sudden the villagers went on edge and started picking up weapons
Quest Updated
Quest: Reconstruction Interruption Difficulty: E+ Time Limit: None The wall hasn''t been repaired yet and the weekly wave has come early. Help the residents fight back against the wave of monsters before they are overwhelmed and the village becomes infested with monsters. Replaces the Eastern Wall Reconstruction quest.(+ difficulty means that a large group will participate like NPCs or that''s it''s recommended to do in a party.) Success: Familiarity with all residents of Sicheren Untergang increases, unknown Failure: Line of defence falls, at least 20 villagers die in the attack Effects of failure: The Village of Sicheren Untergang will become a den of monsters, any survivors will move away and forever blame you for what happened
Emperor thought ''Isn''t the effect of failure a bit harsh'' and then got ready alongside the villagers. Soon the first monster came through the wall and roared "CLIFFHANGER"
Haha thought you''d finally see some action, nope that''s chapter 4. This chapter has been remastered, nobody is browsing my FF since I''m adjusting chapters rather than deleting them and redoing them. But that''s okay if I had people come on while I was still remastering, I''d probably get bad ratings. Next chapter: http://www.royalroadl.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=3542 Side Stories: http://www.royalroadl.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=3547&pid=25918#pid25918 Chapter 4: Siege Guess what? ACTION CHAPTER, that''s what. Took 1 week, 8 posts, 4 remasters, and lots of caffiene but here''s your action you''ve been waiting for.
Each stat reduced by 1 due to fear
-F*ck Emperor at the time was more angered by the stat decreases than in fear of the wolf that roared. The villagers readied their weapons but were shivering in fear as more wolves appeared behind the roaring one. ''It''s just a few wolves, very realistic but I expected more.'' Emperor falsely believed the wolves were weak and a beginner mob due to his previous gaming experiences. He charged at the enemies recklessy(more like leaned forward and used the weight of the armour to build up momentum). The wolf expecting its prey to be cowering in fear was taken by surprise.
Critical hit, Skill gained: Bull charge
He and the wolf fell to the ground but the damage didn''t kill the wolf. The other wolves got aggroed and started attacking him while the wolf under him started ferociously biting him. The wolves attacking him sometimes cut their mouths open on the parts of metal jutting out of his armour awkwardly. Emperor couldn''t do anything but struggle under their weight which restricted his movement. The villagers taking advantage of this opportunity began to cut down the wolves until all except the one under Emperor died. Emperor when freed of movement began rolling around with the wolf, punching it and trying to get a grip on it. He aimed to snap its neck to kill it quickly but couldn''t. The villagers wanted to kill the wolf but didn''t want to hurt Emperor, but the 3 kids were used to hitting Emperor... Keith used his shovel to try and bludgeon the wolf but missed and hit Emperor on the head. Kyle tried hitting the wolf by throwing a piece of scrap metal and hit the wolf''s calf and Emperor''s leg. Katy struck true with her stick knocking the wolf off Emperor. Emperor lifted himself up while one of the villagers finished the wolf off.
Level upX5
''That sucks, I was hoping to look cool but that skill is useful and I got 7 endurance points from that.I even leveled up 5 times despite not killing anything. At least it''s over without any losses.'' *Wolves bark in the distance* The Overseer reappeared with a few soldiers and shouted "Watch out that was just the beginning! There''s more coming." ''F*cking jinxed myself'' More wolves started to appear from the hole in the wall. There''s more than before but now there''s reinforcements for the villagers. Once again the wolf in the front roars causing debuffs. -Bull Charge activate Emperor decided to do the same as before since the armour nullified most of the wolves damage and he still had 60% of his health. Yes wolves do more damage than sticks, a lot more. His reckless charge was avoided by the roaring wolf since these wolves were more on guard because their allies all died. Emperor was unable to stop and went outside the walls. Luckily for him there was still a few stragglers outside the wall and he hit one.
Bull Charge successful
Emperor instinctively threw his head up as he hit the wolf. The wolf was launched into the air and instantly killed.
Level up
''Sweet it''s like I''m a real bull'' As Emperor thought that one of the stragglers jumped on him from behind pushing him down. The other stragglers hopped on too and a few that were aggro-ed by his charge ran back outside the walls to attack him. Support the creativity of authors by visiting Royal Road for this novel and more. ''Not again'' ~5 minutes later~ Emperor was put into a critical state by the wolves and couldn''t do anything about it. but there was some perks to this situation as he gained 3 endurance stat and a completely new stat.
New stat acquired: Courage
''Well can''t really do anything under these wolves but skim some windows'' -Open skill Bull Charge and stat Courage
Skill: Bull Charge Rarity: One of a Kind Level: 1 One of a Kind skill created by an unusual action and armour set. Special action available due to it''s uniqueness. Recklessly charge at the enemy with the momentum from the weight of your body. Increasing weight and agility will increase the power of the skill but make it harder to control. Will not stop until you trip or hit something. Strength decreases chance of tripping and critical chance. Tripping will cause 1/4 of your health to be depleted regardless of level, surface, or defence. Damage may be increased by head decorations such as horns. Special action: Sometimes when you hit a target you''ll automatically lift your head launching it into the air and causing double critical damage. Damage may increase depending on how high the target is launched and what it hits when airborne. Damage determined by strength.
''So I was able to kill that wolf because of my crown''
Stat: Courage Rarity: Common Stat points: 10 Very common stat among warrior types, usually gained by being reckless or by being brave. Increases respect from military factions and personnel. Proudly facing unbeatable odds or foolishly running into the middle of hordes of enemies. Some call them fools, others heros, while we call them masochists.
''I guess I''ll face my first death now.'' -Close windows
Level upX3
To his shock instead of seeing angry wolves mauling him, Emperor saw soldiers cheering around him. He quickly scooped up some of the loot realising he survived long enough for the soldiers to save him. But he didn''t notice since he was distracted by windows.
Quest completed: Congratulations you routed the monster wave without letting them kill even one villager
Level upX2, Titles added: Hero, Dog piler
''Sweet I''ll check out those titles later on.'' Distracted by the windows Emperor tripped over some loot and faceplanted.
You have died, you will be forcibly logged off and banned for 24 real life hours.
Lynford exited his capsule cussing and then CLIFFHANGER.
Well then there''s chapter 4 the first action chapter, hoped you enjoyed it. Next chapter: http://www.royalroadl.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=3780 Side Stories and poll(poll already ended) Here''s some insight into the characters in a few delightful short stories. You may say shorter than your chapters?! But I''ve been doing my best to make chapters longer but I have needs and it''s more convenient to post then come back later.
The Shovel: While walking to the Eastern gate, Emperor decided to chat with Keith about something odd during training. "Hey Keith about your shovel-" Emperor started Keith interrupted "It''s not a shovel, it''s a spade!" Emperor thought ''Is there any difference?'' but instead said "Okay about your spade, during training why did you hit me with the wooden part rather than the metal part?" Keith sheepishly said "Well it was my father''s spade and before that my grandfather''s an-" Emperor interjected "Keith that doesn''t answer the question, Why do you hit with the wrong side?" "Okay, it''s a bit awkward hitting with the metal part when Kyle and Katy are using sticks. Is it that weird?" Keith responded "It''s fine for now but if you go into real combat use the metal side. Okay?" Emperor said while thinking ''Keith is weak to peer pressure it seems.'' "Okay" Keith said then he ran ahead a bit out of embarrassment.
The Apology: Emperor noticed Kyle sulking a bit after they left the training hall. So he decided to ask him about it since it didn''t seem like it was from fatigue. "Hey Kyle are you alright? You look a bit out of it." Emperor casually mentioned Kyle replied "I''m fine" while still sulking just as much. Emperor thought ''Could he be down from me accidentally calling him Keith?'' and then said "I''m sorry for calling you Keith, it''s not that big of a deal." Kyle replied harshly "It may not be a big deal to you but it''s frustrating to me." Emperor thought ''Sh*t I hit a nerve in him, gotta think of a way of resolving this while being a good influence.'' Emperor immediately lied "I guess I went too far with that joke, I thought it''d be funny since your names are so similar." Kyle visibly brightened and asked "A joke?" "Yeah I didn''t know it''d be taken seriously and you know how jokes are less funny if you explain them" Emperor quickly said. Kyle started laughing then began walking faster overtaking Emperor. Emperor thought to himself ''Kyle is the most energetic of the three yet the most vulnerable especially in a emotional way. Good thing he''s gullible or this situation would''ve been unexpectedly bad.'' Keith thought to himself ''It''s obvious that he was lying back there but thinking about it I was sad for a petty reason. From now on I won''t get sad so easily anymore!''
Stolen from its rightful place, this narrative is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.Women are the same everywhere: While walking towards the Eastern wall, both Keith and Kyle went ahead. This left Emperor with the not-so talkative Katy. Emperor decided to find out why she isn''t very social. "Hey Katy, why don''t you talk more?" said Emperor "What is there to talk about?" responded Katy ''This isn''t working, what about her female friends? There''s no guarantee they''re the only children here.'' thought Emperor Emperor asked "Katy do you have any female friends?" Katy responds "Yes, there''s Mom, Auntie, Mrs. Bitc-" Emperor intercepted with "I mean any young girls like you" Katy thought a little bit then said "Yeah, there''s Grandma, Mom, Aun-" Emperor interrupted once again "Nevermind" ''No wonder she doesn''t talk often, she is monotone and takes things too seriously. Also what''s with the old women here calling themselves young girls?'' Emperor thought The rest of the way Emperor stayed silent while the kids had periodic conversations with eachother.
Emperor''s backstory part 1: This takes place after Emperor logs off on the first day. It shows some parts of his lifestyle but not his name. After exiting the coma Emperor had to get used to reality again. The game is very similar to reality but the small differences confuse the brain at first after entering and exiting Fantasy Chronicles. Emperor thought to himself after looking at a clock ''Only 11pm, it feels much later thanks to the 1:4 time ratio. I should go bed now even though its Saturday I shouldn''t stay up too late or my internal clock will get messed up. I still have to work Monday so staying up until 1am isn''t good.'' *Stomach growls* interrupting Emperor''s thought processes. He then ambled into his kitchen and put some leftovers in the microwave. Thanks to him living alone in an apartment he doesn''t have to worry about waking anyone but he''s too lazy to cook something. After eating the leftovers Emperor cleaned up after himself and went to sleep. That night he dreamed about ruling the world as he always did but tonight the world was Fantasy Chronicles instead of real life. End of Side Stories.
Author''s Note:First off you may ask Part 1? Is there going to be a part 2? Well unfortunately for you that''s your healthy dosage of CLIFFHANGER this time. Second I made this due to demand for some character development, went unexpectedly well so I may do so again later. Vote ended with Lynford as the chosen name. Chapter 4: http://www.royalroadl.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=3542 Dicussion Here you can say whatever you want about the story so far and the remastering of the first few chapters. Actually it''s more to put me back on the fiction board but there''s new content so it''s okay. Chapter 5: A little bit of life and aftermath Lynford hopped out of his Coma irritated with his stupid death. ''How could I die by tripping, I should''ve healed first. This isn''t the first time my greed has gotten me in trouble.'' He looked at his clock nearby, it was holographic which was becoming more and more common in households. ''only 11am?! That 4:1 ratio of time really messes with you.'' Lynford made himself some lunch then went out on an afternoon run. He didn''t want to get muscle atrophy from the game. After running a mile Lynford came home and cleaned the house then sat down to watch some tv. -TV turn on A screen suddenly appeared across a seemingly empty wall and started showing the news. After a few boring political things and the weather something new popped up. An interview with a player of Fantasy Chronicles about the game. The game itself was becoming very popular worldwide with people ordering it before it even becomes available in their country. The interviewer asked the player "What do you think makes this game so popular?" The player was a guy and looked somewhat like a pop star. Obviously chosen to attract female viewers as the station cared more about views than whether or not the player was experienced. The guy like Lynford was a complete narcissist and began talking of his adventures proudly rather than answering the question. The interviewer was female and feigned interest even though she didn''t know what he was talking about. Lynford turned off the TV, sickened by the guy on TV. The only thing he caught from the interview was that the guy''s in-game name was King and he was a warrior and leader of a guild that was 22nd in the rankings. After that he went onto the forums about Fantasy Chronicles to surf relevant info. ''Let''s see what the internet thinks of King.'' Lynford wasn''t surprised to find several forum topics about King already up, mainly derogatory ones. A lot of people were complaining about how the guy obviously got the game from a foreign country before it was released here and that the station should''ve interviewed a beginner. After this he searched skills and found out that it was extremely hard to get a non-common stat/skill in the first week. This reassured him that he was ahead of the competition. ''Wait this game started in other countries earlier than now so I''m actually way behind. Plus I can''t play until tomorrow after work.'' Lynford decided to look up some things posted in countries that got the game early and found out that most of them already have 5 titles and legendary skills. Apparently legendary is a low rank for skills, stats, and titles which is made that way to make beginners feel good about it. The game is a cruel game that makes people feel OP then crushes them completely. Carrot and stick approach to attract beginners and punish experienced players accordingly. After legendary rank there''s star ranks that are 10 times better. ~The next day after work~ Lynford quickly hopped in his Coma after running home and scarfing down a fast food burrito.

Emperor respawned inside the village next to the fountain. He looked inside his inventory to see if he lost anything and he just lost some loot and stale bread. ''Nice only lost one level and the titles are nice. What the hell is Hundgesichtland? I mean this game has a state of the art translator why not translate the names too? Oh well, let''s head for Schmied''s place since my armour seems to be damaged.'' After arriving he noticed the yard to be much cleaner thanks to the wall repairs but the shack was the same as always. But there was a group of people partying out back, the normally filthy and depressed people were dancing with flushed faces. He found Schmied sitting down unusually docile. -Schmied what''s going on? "Ah the main guest has finally arrived, we''re celebrating the stopping of the wave without anyone dying thanks to you!" said a drunken man that ambled off and threw up after talking to Emperor. Schmied then said "As he said this is a celebration for you my friend, of course you should join in. Please don''t drink too much I''m almost out" ''He speaks normally when he''s worried about running out of alcohal?!'' Emperor decided not to partake in the festivities and instead go back to the spot he died, completely forgetting what he came to Schmied''s for. He found some loot that the villagers missed since villagers pick up loot too. Also he picked up the stale bread he dropped and ate one of them. Then he felt a strange feeling in his stomach. ''This doesn''t feel good.'' Emperor logged off because of the weird feeling
Lynford came out of the capsule still feeling the weird sensation and headed for the bathroom. *This next scene has been censored* Lynford said "No more fast food burritos anymore" as he hopped back in the Coma and CLIFFHANGER
This was mainly to show the aftermath of Emperor''s death with a few jokes mixed in especially a hidden pun. This chapter can be treated as a side story and the only relevant things are the stats and titles. Sorry if it''s dissappointing I''ll try to pump out chapter 6 quickly. Emperor appeared near the outside the repaired wall where he last logged out. He looked around and saw something strange. A drunk man, the one who greeted him at the party, was running towards him. "Emperor help me I''m getting chased by monsters. There''s so many of them." he said(imagine everything he says slurred) ''What is he talking about there''s nothing behind him.'' -Calm down, first off why were you in the woods. "I had to go to the bathroom and I couldn''t find my house. So I went into the woods and forgot what I was doing so I started wandering around. I cleared some brush and saw a huge amount of monsters so I turned and ran. They should be right behind me." -Well there''s nothing so either they don''t exist or they didn''t give chase. As your future lord I shall investigate this matter.
Skill use successful, Eloquent speech leveled up
"Okay then I''ll leave it to you, I''m going back to the party."
Quest: Drunken Visages Difficulty: E Time limit: Duration of the party Tom, the drunken ex-guard, claims to have seen a large group of monsters in the woods. Investigate this claim and decide whether its just Tom''s drunkenness or he actually saw something then return to Tom with your decision. ''I just got a free quest and calmed down a severely drunk man with logic, I love that skill. Though what''s with the names, foreign names and generic names mixed together.'' Emperor ambled through the woods assuming that Tom was drunk but wanted to take advantage of the fact the guards were drunk at the party to wander outside the village. He encountered a few sleeping rabbits in a break in the forest. Enjoying this book? Seek out the original to ensure the author gets credit. ''I''ve got no weapons how should I attack them. They''re too small to use Bull Charge against.'' While thinking this Emperor tripped and fell on top of the rabbits.
Critical Hit, new skill created, skill Crush leveled up
As he landed on the rabbits his weight completely crushed the rabbits causing some of them to explode. Lynford got up and started laughing and wiped off some rabbit guts. ''So that''s the mature content and ooh a new skill.'' -Show skill Crush
Skill: Crush Rarity: Very common Level: 2(12%) You fell on an enemy and caused some damage, that''s it nothing special. Damage determined by weight and level. What did you expect some rare skill to make you feel good about yourself?
''Useful skill against small enemies but why are the skill windows so mean?'' Emperor continued through the underbrush hoping for something like a gathering spot or some more enemies to fight. Eventually he found another clearing with an empty mug near an edge. Emperor approached the mug. ''That''s Schmied''s mug so that must be where Tom was before he freaked out. I guess I''ll pick it up and report back to Tom.'' Emperor dropped the mug right after picking it up
Quest Updated: CLIFFHANGER

Gonna split this up among several chapters since chapter 4 was way too short. Side effect is that chapters may end up shorter. Trying to balance this out. Next chapter: http://www.royalroadl.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=3784 Chapter 7: The Second Early Wave II I''m having some heartburn right now so without further ado chapter 7:
Quest: A Drunken Vindication Difficulty: D Time Limit: Until your next death Tom the drunk was telling the truth and monsters are lined up ready to attack the village. Their numbers are 10 times more than the previous attack. Go back to the village and warn them of imminent attack. Quickly the monster horde has already noticed you and sent 1/10 of their forces to take you out. Reward: Increased reputation and familiarity with the villagers, another quest Failure: Your death Effects of failure: The Village of Sicheren Untergang shall be attacked while they''re too drunk to respond and no sentries to warn them. The village will be destroyed with no survivors and will become a dungeon/monster nest.
''Such awful effects of failure again but wait sh*t they already noticed me. Sh*t my armour is weakened too and I have no backup so I''ll die.'' Emperor quickly funneled his unused skill points into strength in order to remove his movement restriction on his armour. Then he ran off towards the village(More like hobbled since the restriction was reduced to 75% not 0%). He heard barking all around him and a few roars.
Courage stat managed to negate fear debuff
''Sweet I''m so OP'' Just then a wolf jumped past him and slid. It turned around and growled at him while cutting off his path. -Bull Charge Emperor charged at the wolf but it dodged out of the way. Emperor charged past the wolf and kept going at a very fast speed. It took all of his strength to dodge the trees everywhere and keep his balance. It stressed him mentally and physically. To distract himself he had a few idle thoughts. ''How did they notice me anyways, Tom was there and they didn''t notice him despite his claims to the contrary.'' Emperor then looked down at the rabbit guts all over his armour and started laughing while running. ''The skill before said strength is needed to control this skill so that must be why this is easier than before but still excruciating.'' Emperor then ran through the clearing with the rabbits or what was left of them and tripped over the same exact root and slid a few meters. Emperor picked himself up and started running again but not before looking behind and seeing some wolves eating the rabbits. They then noticed him and started giving chase once again. If you encounter this tale on Amazon, note that it''s taken without the author''s consent. Report it. ''Oww that hurts like hell but I gotta keep going. They''re eating the rabbits it seems I got lucky since they gave chase from smelling those rabbits so finding the bodies distracted them.'' Emperor then noticed the wolves were quickly gaining on him and one looked ready to pounce. -Bull Charge
Skill leveled up
Emperor gained some distance but wasn''t in the luxury to check behind himself. ''I guess this skill is meant for fighting but it can be used this way too, it seems it gives experience to it too but not as much as using it to attack.'' Thanks to Emperor leveling the skill and the forest starting to thin up a little he didn''t trip again. The strain on him was much less too and he considered stopping(aka hitting a tree to take less damage than tripping since he can''t deactivate the skill) since he felt like he lost them. But decided against it when he heard some howling in the distance. All of a sudden the forest cleared up and Emperor sighed in relief but decided to keep the skill out until he reached the village gates. But all of a sudden a wolf jumped in front of him and charged at him.
Skill use successful, Double Critical hit, Level up
Before Emperor could even process what happened they collided headfirst but Emperor''s charge overwhelmed the wolf. Emperor instinctively jerked his head up instantly snapping the neck of the wolf and killing it. The wolf dissipated leaving behind loot including the wolf''s head. Emperor picked it all up and headed for the village gate not being finicky about touching a severed head. ''It seems the way things die determine what is left behind and the quality of it. That wolf must of circled around the others smartly but his efforts earned him a fatality. I don''t hear anything else so I''ll walk the rest of the way, I have no desire to crash into the gate.'' After reaching the village gate Emperor reached out to open the gate. Suddenly the gate opened before he could touch it slamming into him and CLIFFHANGER

After opening the gate Kyle, Keith, and Katy ran out and were about to set out when they heard some cussing behind them. Keith helped Emperor up while saying "Why didn''t you tell us you were back?" Kyle also helped Emperor up "Where were you?" Katy said "Tom told us you were out in the forest playing with the monsters." ''Oh yeah there was these guys I forgot about them. More importantly the quest.'' -No time for questions, quick run ahead and warn everyone, there''s another early wave coming that''s even bigger than the last one. ''Now to prepare, if I time it right I can complete 2 quests at once. First off is my armour next is convincing the denizens to rally behind me.'' Emperor headed off to the blacksmith shack and found the partygoers sobering up and some of them taking up weapons. Schmied was laughing jovially seeing as his stock was saved from the party. Unauthorized content usage: if you discover this narrative on Amazon, report the violation.''Wait the people are still here and drunk so it should be easy to convince them now.'' Emperor climbed onto a pile of scrap and shouted over to the people. "Listen here! Will all of just continue as you are now! Rise up bring the fight to them, take up your weapons, prepare them, and then cut down the enemy before they even come close! Will you forever just repair the walls and drink waiting for the day you die, or will you unite under me and fight back! The people cheered together and rallied together. Despite their lack of sobriety they began sharpening their weapons. Schmied also affected got up and was about to head into the forge. -Wait Schmied, can you repair my armour. Schmied responded "Dat''s no problem ''ere we go. But it''s covered with dirt n'' grime especially dried blood. ''E could scrape it off but the armour is sh*t so instead e''ll just melt down some scrap and patch ''er up. Should take about 4 hours ''ive or take." ''I think I''ll go to sleep so I''ll just recommend some adjustments'' -Well the wave won''t happen for at least 2 days from the looks of things so do whatever you can. Also add on more jutting pieces because they cut up those wolves when they ganged up on me. I have a feeling I might end up in the same situation. Especially this crownlike part, it''s good for my image so make it longer and shiny. People like shiny things. "Well alwighty then, see ya later den." Emperor was leaving when Schmied said his goodbyes so he waved in response and left the shack. The partygoers cleared out so the scrapyard was empty except for Tom who was still dancing and too drunk to be aware of what conspired there. -Log out Lynford got out of his Coma and thought of something. Lynford hopped out of his Coma and was making dinner when he had a thought. ''If I go to work tomorrow like normal, the village will get attacked before I log in. I guess I''ll try to get paid vacation.'' Lynford worked at a nearby restuarant as a waiter as a salaryworker and had specific shifts throughtout the week but not on weekends. He called up his boss in order to ask for paid vacation. "Hello, this is Lynford right?" -Yes, how''d you guess "Caller ID and the fact you''re calling at 10pm" -Oh I''m sorry if that was rude but it''d be even ruder to call like this in the morning. I won''t be able to come into work tomorrow, can I get a paid vacation. "Sure, business has been bad lately so we only need one waiter, but in return you have to work on this weekend without pay." -Isn''t that illegal? "Of course not, it''s outside your hours so it''s volunteer work" Lynford agreed to the terms then hung up and resumed cooking. After dinner he set his alarm and went to sleep ~At 8am~ Lynford hopped into his Coma still in his pajamas due to not working that day.

"Thanks fer the compliments" said Schmied Emperor ran outside and found the 3 scrubs. Kyle said "Follow me, everyone''s preparing for the attack" Keith said "We''re not ready yet but if you want we can attack now" Emperor looked towards Katy while being dragged by Kyle and Keith expecting her to say something but instead awkward silence ensued. Emperor and the other went to the gate facing the direction of where the wave is. There was a setup of all the weapons in the village and makeshift shields from scrap metal and wood. The people rather than their normal grimness were grossly optimistic and staring at him. ''This is d*mn creepy, is this from that Hero title I have? Oh well soon I shall fulfill those expectations and they''ll change their expressions to respect whenever they see me.'' The person that oversaw the eastern wall reconstruction walked up to Emperor and said "Hero Emperor we''ve prepared ourselves to fight the wave as per your command but I digress. Please give us another hour as we need to finish sharpening our weapons and creating shields."

Quest:Drunken Scrabble Difficulty: C+ Time Limit: 5 days You''ve convinced the villagers to leave the village and attack the wolves directly. Unfortunately the wolves are highly intelligent and have noticed the villages preparations and have called for reinforcements. If you leave now you can attack the wolves before their reinforcements arrive creating two separate easier fights. Or if you wait the villagers will finish preparations creating one big fight but stronger allies. Reward: Based on contribution Failure: You die or the time runs out Effects of failure: Village of Sicheren Untergang falls and becomes a monster den Extra: Attempting to crush the wave alone will increase the difficulty to A
''What the hell?! Why do this, it was already hard?'' *Audible sigh* -Okay, we''ll wait until everyone is ready before we set off ~2 hours later~ "Hero, we have finished preperations" said the Overseer -About time that was 1 hour longer than the CLIFFHANGER
I''m pumping out chapters at a fast rate and my FF rating has almost climbed up back to 4, Thanks for the cookies. Next chapter: http://www.royalroadl.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=3791 Chapter 10: The Second Early Wave V Chapter 10, don''t feel like saying anything else
-About time you finished getting ready, that was an extra hour longer than you said Overseer said "I''m sorry but morale has started to drop as the time to act comes near." ''Maybe another peptalk will suffice'' Emperor stood on top of a bench that was being used to set supplies on but now was empty since everyone was packed up and ready. Then he noticed something a bit off, there was someone wearing beginner''s garb in the crowd. ''Haha another player, time to make him seethe with jealousy.'' -Everyone listen to me. Today is a day that will go down in history. Some people may say this is just a small scale battle and just a spec passing time. But we will use this chance to be reborn. This isn''t the end, it''s just the beginning. First we shall destroy this puny wave of monsters, next we''ll discover and route the source, then we''ll begin to build ourselves into a world power. DO YOU HEAR ME! The player(or champion as the NPCs call them) started laughing but stopped as the crowd began to cheer loudly. -Everyone be it villagers or champions shall fight. Young champion what is your name? "My name is Stagola" said Stagola ''Interesting name'' -Well then Stagola take up a weapon and help us fight. Stagola tried not to laugh then started making hand motions as a window invisible to Emperor appeared in front of him. "I accept this quest" responded Stagola ''He actually accepted with that difficulty?! Oh well he''ll make for some good fodder'' "Hero when do we set out?" said Tom who was now sober. -Now of course Emperor, Stagola, the 3 kids, and the militia set out towards the horde of monsters. Stagola decided to gather info from the villagers and then asked Emperor "So boss, what the hell are we facing here?" -Wolves, big ones, Their numbers were close to 150 when I saw them, but we should expect even more now. They were waiting to attack so they must''ve been waiting for more to gather. "Oh wow, that''s impressive, I''ve heard you''ve fought against these wolves before." said Stagola smugly ''Is he... trying to raise familiarity with me. Does he honestly believe that I''m an NPC with an appearance like this?'' -Yes well as a champion I expect you to pull your own weight, don''t expect me to babysit you Stagola showed an irritated face thinking ''D*mn my attempts to raise familiarity backfired. Are event NPCs less vulnerable to kissa**ing?'' Soon enough the group tensed up as they were deep in the forest and there was sounds of wolves howling in the distance. All the members cringed with fear debuffs except Emperor. -The enemy is just ahead, don''t falter charge
Leadership increased by 1
Emperor started running and the rest of the group followed. Stagola thought ''This event NPC managed to remove that debuff, maybe he''s better than I thought.'' Soon wolves started running towards the group from all directions. The villagers with their high morale from being well equiped and lead by a Hero began to attack the wolves with makeshift spears, glaives, pikes, swords, farming equipment, swords, and a few were just swinging around scrap metal. Stagola was hiding in the center while the group shared exp., allowing him to quickly level and allocate points. Emperor shouted "Bull Charge" and charge at the enemies in front. His charge hit one of the wolves and killed it despite it not being a crit hit nor did he launch it. If you encounter this tale on Amazon, note that it''s taken without the author''s consent. Report it. ''I''m so OP right now'' Emperor then noticed a wolf fall over near him after a villager cut its leg. It didn''t die but there was so many wolves that the villager changed his focus rather than finishing it off. Emperor took advantage of this. -Crush
Critical hit, skill leveled up
He crushed the wolf with his body and his weight caused the wolf to hurl blood into the air. A brutal Wolf Blood Fountain sprayed all over his body. He started laughing jovially and then set his sights on his next target.
Leadership increased by 1
''How''d that happen, does it increase automatically in battle?'' Emperor didn''t realize that his display of brutality towards the wolves and even laughing on the battlefield made the villagers morale surge. The villagers became more desensitized due to this to and began performing brutal acts themselves as the leader influences the group. Stagola was shocked to see even kids on the battlefield ganging up on one wolf and bludgeoning it to death. Stagola thought ''This event is amazing, I''m so glad I chose such a remote place and turned on mature content.'' Emperor then began to experiment new moves to try and create new skills since his current skill set was lacking and the villagers seemed fine.
New skill created: Impale
This skill was created after he stabbed a few wolves with the spikes all over him. He started using it to prevent the wolves from pouncing on him and creating a dog pile.
New skill created: Heavy punch
This skill was created after he went into a Bull Charge like stance but punched the enemy instead of headbutting/crashing into them. He hit one of the wolves with this directly on the forehead and it bleed from every hole it had and its eyes popped out. After dissipating the eyes were left over so he scooped them up.
New passive skill created: Goremeister
This skill was created due to him continually using and creating skills that cause gruesome damage to the enemy. Soon afterwards an especially large growl reverberated throughout the battlefield causing both man and beast to pause. Emperor seemingly belonging to neither group killed one more wolf before a giant wolf came into view.
Seems sorta generic with the Alpha Wolf appearing but trust me I''ve got some original content coming within five chapters. I''m pumping out chapters so fast because I already decided what to do. Executing it is much harder though plus I add in things along the way that''s why it takes so long. Also Stagola the new character is also an intelligent character. Think of him as those crazy b*stards that hack into games just for bragging rights and find ways around in-game filters hence his name. P.S. don''t look up Stagola on Google Images, you''ll regret it. Don''t be a victim of the internet. Next chapter: http://www.royalroadl.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=3794 Chapter 11: First Boss battle Well time for our Egotistical Ruler to fight his first in-game boss. The very generic Alpha Wolf, gotta start somewhere.
As the wolf approached, Emperor thought to himself ''Finally a boss to fight, I should allocate all my points from leveling into strength real quick.'' As Emperor allocated his points his body began to feel lighter and he felt faster. The Alpha Wolf then let loose another bloodcurdling roar causing the wolves to run off in fear. The villagers all got large debuffs including Emperor.
Greater fear causes -5 all stats, Courage stat reduces this to -4
''What a dick of a boss, I''m gonna kill it quickly'' -Bull Charge
Courage increased by 1
Emperor charged at the Alpha Wolf but it just sidestepped and began walking towards the paralyzed villagers. Emperor became enraged and jumped while twisting his body. Doing a complete U-turn and charged towards the Alpha Wolf.
Skill Bull Charge Upgraded
The Alpha Wolf was uncompletely unaware of Emperor''s mad dash. Emperor hit the back of its leg and jerked his head up, piercing then skinning the leg viciously.
Critical hit, new passive skill created: Wounding strike,Skill leveled up, Passive skill leveled up, successfully wounded Alpha Wolf
The boss turned around while yelping in pain. Seeing the cause of its pain it became enraged and let out a roar.
Cornered beast roar caused flinch debuff, negated by Courage stat.
''Awesome stat'' Emperor thought not realizing that the stat wasn''t that impressive but was working so well because it was abnormally high for his level and this boss fight. -Impale Emperor stabbed the boss mid-roar on one of its front legs enraging it even more. The boss swiped its paws launching Emperor away. Emperor lost 30% of his health instantly and got stuck in a tree. The boss satisfied began to limp towards the tree. Once again making the same exact mistake. The villagers had recovered from the debuffs and began to charge at the boss seeing their leader in a vulnerable position. From their viewpoint it looked like Emperor purposely wounded the boss and distracted it in order to let them escape. This narrative has been unlawfully taken from Royal Road. If you see it on Amazon, please report it. The villagers attacked the back legs of the boss and before it could react they ran underneath the creature began stabbing it all over. The wolf struggled to attack the villagers as they constantly moved around using his large size to avoid his attacks. The boss managed in some lucky swipes and injured but didn''t kill any of the villagers. While this was happening, Stagola was watching at a safe distance enjoying the show with some mystery jerky. Emperor was trying to restore his health which was around 50% by eating stale bread in the tree. Soon the boss smartly hopped backwards away from the crowd and got the chance to swipe and heavily injure most of the villagers. None of them died since the attack was weakened from the pain of jumping on its wounded leg. Unfortunately for the boss it hopped towards the tree that Emperor was sitting in. -Crush Emperor yelled out the skill while rolling out of the tree. The boss hearing the skill get called out lifted its head up to see where the sound was coming from. The boss''s face collided with Emperor''s meteor-like body which was falling even faster and was heavier due to the skill. It let out a yelp and fell over.
Critical hit,Skill leveled up, Boss: Alpha male has been put in a vulnerable state
The villagers cheered assuming this was Emperor''s plan all along and the non-wounded ones ran towards the downed boss and began to attack it. Emperor soon joined them but aimed for the head. -Heavy Punch Emperor punched the Boss solidly in the nose while it was down.
Triple Critical Hit
The boss''s head then promptly exploded to everyone''s shock
Passive skill leveled up, Leveled upX5, Quest complete, Quest complete, Titles obtained: Alpha slayer, Honorary Lord of Sicheren Untergang

Information overload, I''m going to organize and explain everything next chapter. This chapter is dedicated to those emotionally scarred by the temptation of Googling Stagola''s name. Stats, Skills, and Titles: http://www.royalroadl.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=3660 Next Chapter: http://www.royalroadl.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=3810 Chapter 12: The Missing I put all the stats and stuff in discussion since they were bulky, going to do that from now on. More for my own convenience than your enjoyment but hey we both benefit this way.
After checking all of his stats Emperor was very impressed especially with the 3 star rarity passive skill. But he was slightly angry that his lordship over Sicheren Untergang wasn''t official yet. ''I hope some of the quests I received just now will be related to this'' -Show new quests
Quest: Become the Lord of Sicheren Untergang Difficulty: F Time Limit: N/A You have the respect of the people and most people consider you the Lord. Either do the ceremony now to make it official or convince any remaining people who don''t acknowledge you. People who acknowledge you: 100/300 Rewards: Title upgrade, Become the Lord, Village overview and construction options unlocked, Half of taxes from the village. Failure: N/A Effects of Failure: N/A
Quest: Investigate the Source of the Waves Difficulty: Unknown Time Limit: Unknown Find out where the waves of monsters are coming from. Success: Unknown Failure: Unknown Effects of Failure: Unknown
''What the hell, over half of them still don''t acknowledge me, that''s unacceptable. Also the other quest is pretty mysterious.'' -Hey Overseer-like guy, how many people are there in Sicheren Untergang. "My name is Kendrick not Overseer, and there''s 100 people thanks to your efforts, nobody died in the last 2 attacks." said Kendrick ''So they do all acknowledge me, so who are those 200 other people?''
Hidden Quest: The Missing ?????????????
This book was originally published on Royal Road. Check it out there for the real experience. ''Not another weird quest, I guess I''ll find the source for now.'' -Everyone listen up, now we''ve killed the boss of the waves but we haven''t destroyed the source yet. Without the boss it should be easy. Everyone wounded return to the village alongside a few healthy people to help you. The rest follow me, we''re going in the direction the boss came from.
Leadership +1
After shuffling their group around they set off once again towards what they assume to be the source. Emperor noticed Stagola still following along, ''How''d he survive the wolves and the boss battle? I understand the villagers since they''re all around level 50 due to harsh conditions but a beginner surviving doesn''t make sense. Then he realized what Stagola did.'' -Yo Parasite next time do something during the battle rather than soak up experience Stagola then looked like he had a bad taste in his mouth. Without knowing it Emperor gave Stagola a title full of debuffs called Parasitic sponge. Their trek through the woods took several hours before the forest started clearing up and the ground became rocky. An incessant buzzing was heard in the distance. Taking it as a sign that they were close to the source everyone decided to set up camp and eat. Stagola logged out immediately after eating some rations. Emperor took his fill too but helped set up camp afterwards. -Okay everyone prepare yourselves once I get back we''ll start our assault The villagers cheered and then Emperor logged out.
Small chapter for now but I''m hungry and go check discussion page out, the discussion part took 3 hours due to looking through chapters to remain consistant. Next Chapter: http://www.royalroadl.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=3813 Chapter 13: The Source If my cookies exceed 4 overall I shall ask to remove the "The" in The Egotistical Ruler to make it easier to find in the fiction section. Probably do it anyways even I don''t get 4 cookies but anyways continue rating this FF people. The ratings make me feel good about myself, almost as much as seeing 20 people reading my FF at once after posting chapter 12.
Lynford exited his Coma and as usual made dinner. He hadn''t eaten lunch so he had a large appetite. Afterwards he went for an evening jog. After he came back he noticed that it wasn''t his normal bedtime yet so he went to the internet to look up stuff. ''Ooh a video about Fanatasy Chronicles has been making quite a few hits.'' Opening the video full screen Lynford was shocked to see himself give a speech to villagers and then the battle that occured just today. Confused Lynford looked at the person who uploaded it and saw the username: Stagolalicious696942. Remembering the other player in the fight Lynford decided to look up his name. He often looked up pictures so Google Images was his default search engine. Looking it up horrified Lynford and emotionally scarred him. ''Enough internet for today I''m going to bed.'' ~In the morning~ Lynford got a call from his boss after he woke up. "Lynford when you took the day off we found a street beggar wanting a job and he was a natural" said Lynford''s boss -Oh so you want me to watch over him during my shift to make sure he knows everything before you make him into a full-timer. "No, he''s your replacement, you''re fired." said Lynford''s former boss The boss then hung up before Lynford could say anything else. ''Hrmm I guess I have to job hunt today'' Lynford began to dress up in his only set of formal clothes and organized his resume(pretty sure resume has an accent but I''m lazy). Right before he set out his phone rang. The voice from his phone said "Hello I''m Kandi from the media management branch of Nintendo, are you the one with the username: Emperor in Fantasy Chronicles?" -Yes that''s me but first what does the media branch do? Kandi replied "We create the ads for the company, monitor reactions on the media to our company, and censor negative information about us." -Isn''t that last part illegal "Yes in your country, but more importantly we wish to use your character for an ad. We''ve already received permission from Stagola for his perspective and his youtube video but your perspective is far more valuable." said Kandi -Will I get paid? "Of course, $10000 up front then royalties. $10 extra for every 1000 views of the commercial." said Kandi as though it was a minor amount of money. ''The royalties part sounds low but if they air the commercial worldwide it''ll easily surpass the upfront money.'' -I agree, let me get my account info ~15 minutes later ~ ''Well now that situation is over, time to log into Fantasy Chronicles. Finding a job is unnecessary now, best to just create new videos that Nintendo likes. Thanks to Stagola I''m in their line of sight. I could kiss him if I didn''t cringe every time I think of him.''

Emperor appeared and found the camp made by the villagers empty and desolate. He looked around and saw evidence of them going back in the direction they came from. ''D*mn was I gone for too long. The difficulty is unknown so I''m not going without them.'' He headed back into the forest and found evidence of a battle. He started running towards the forest more before finally finding an area full of dropped weapons, blood, and strange bits everywhere. ''What happened here were they all killed?!'' -Check Quest: Become the Lord of Sicheren Untergang

''Thank goodness they''re all alive so the blood and bits are either from nonlethal wounds or the enemy.'' Emperor headed deeper into the forest expecting the villagers to be fine and just in hiding. Soon enough he heard a shout as the 3 kids came running out. Keith "Help weird monsters came and abducted everyone." Kyle "They flew, they came with the buzzing" Katy "They were big" Emperor spent some time calming them down then asked "Where did they come from?" All 3 of them pointed towards where they believed the source was.
Quest Updated
Hidden Quest:The Missing Difficulty: Unknown Time Limit: N/A The villagers of Sicheren Untergang were kidnapped by strange flying monsters. They were brought to the source of the waves. Is this the same fate as the mystery 200 villagers? Investigate this unusual event with extreme precedence lest you get captured yourself. Unknown
''Sh*t things just got way harder'' -Let''s go now that I''m here we''re going to rescue them. "With just us?" Kyle asked -Of course, we don''t have enough time to rally the other villagers. Who knows what those monsters are doing right now. They set off towards the source. After they reached the former campsite Stagola appeared with a flash of light. "I''m f*cking rich!!!" yelled Stagola as he appeared -Calm your tits Parasite, the villagers were captured while you were j*rking off. "What? Why? How? When? Who?" said Stagola in succession quickly Emperor spent some time explaining what happened to the villagers. Which prompted a question from Stagola "Why didn''t you do anything?" said Stagola -I was away at the time and things ended up like this while I was gone. Stagola thought ''These NPCs are really realistic so I''m betting he was Sh*tting while it happened. He''s being vague because he doesn''t want to admit it.'' The group of 5 headed towards the source. The rocky terrain slowly became steeper and rockier. The sky became darker as they ascended what appeared to be a mountain or very big hill. Stagola said "The forums say monster dens have very spooky atmospheres so this will be my first time facing a den." Emperor silently agreed with him and continued ascending the hill. As they climbed the incessant buzzing became louder and louder. The group now knew it was the monsters at the source. Eventually they arrived at a large hole near the peak of the hill. It made the hill look like an oversized anthill or inactive mini-volcano. "Time to spledunk" said Stagola happily while not taking things seriously at all. Everyone entered the caves and a window popped up.
Discovered monster den: Sangre Caverns An eerie cave with the smell of blood everywhere. The rocks on the interior glow with an eerie red hue, providing lighting in the cave. A mysterious buzzing is heard within Benefits for discovery: Bonus loot and Experience for one week Benefits if cleared: Ownership of the den, den options
Everyone except Stagola nervously entered further. Stagola recklessly cheered because of the benefits.
Gonna do chapter 14 either today or tomorrow morning then break for the week. Of course I''ll try to post lots of chapters on the weekend to make up for it like I did today and Yesterday. FYI, today and yesterday I posted 9 chapters including this one and augmented the discussion post. Next chapter: http://www.royalroadl.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=3816 Chapter 14: The Source Sangre Caverns Just felt like I should let you guys know: I wrote all of chapter 13 while on the can. Also the past 2 chapters were to build up tension for this chapter. That''s right action chapter quite dark too. I''m aiming for a dark/light feeling in this FF. This is one of the dark parts.
Emperor and the others entered the caverns and were shocked to see the walls glowing red. Emperor and Stagola already knew about it from the window but seeing it theirselves shocked them. The red was a very vivid blood red while the non-glowing parts of the wall was brown like dried blood. The ground on the cavern was a mix of black, brown, white, and red. It made a distinctive crunching noise every time they took a step. Kyle turned pale and threw up. Keith started shaking. Katy remained emotionless as usual. This was because the entire cavern was filled with death. Very old death mixed with new death creating a vivid scene like that of an abandoned slaughterhouse. The smell was dreadful and almost made Emperor gag. Stagola just plugged his nose and continued happily with a look of awe. Stagola then stopped and picked up a glowing rock. "Identify" said Stagola and he then stared at a window invisible to Emperor ''When did he learn Identify?!'' -Parasite let me take a look these glowing rocks pique my interest. Stagola passed the rock over already used to his nickname.
Item: Sangre Stone Rarity: Rare A stone made of the blood of the victims of Sangre Caverns. Glows an eerie red caused by the dark magicks flowing throughout the cavern. Not very valuable due to lack of demand and limited buyers. Mainly dark magick users and alchemists buy these. There''s other variations of bloodstones.
''So the only thing making it rare is its location.'' Emperor dropped the rock since it wasn''t valuable and they were everywhere so he could just grab some on the way out. Stagola didn''t really care either and started identifying other things. Since he dropped everything he picked up without disappointment it was obvious he was just trying to level the skill. The buzzing in the caverns echoed throughout getting louder and louder. Eventually they walked into an opening to a huge chamber. ''So that''s what the monsters were.'' Scattered throughout the chamber mainly high up were mosquito like creatures that were the size of cars. In the center of the chamber was a large pool of stagnant water with a reddish tint to it. Whether the tint was from the lighting or the pool was contaminated with blood was unknown. Since the mosquitos were too far away to fight they approached the pool. It was creepy and dark shadows swum in its murky depths. One of the creatures in the pool launched itself out of the water and latched itself to Emperor. Thanks to his armour, Emperor took no damage and Stagola casually cut down the creature and collected its loot. ''Was that the larvae of the mosquitos? That thing was more like a leech than a mosquito larvae.'' Stagola said "Even the weak monsters are creepy here, I love the ambiance." joyfully The 3 kids remained silent because they were in shock from the monster. Afterwards they kept their distance from the pool as the group went around it. Stagola forced Emperor to keep close to the edge and several more larvaes attacked him. In return Stagola identified and passed off some of the loot. Along the way Emperor leveled up twice, despite the larvae being weak and not attacking that often they gave decent experience especially with the bonus. After a few hours they reached the other side of the chamber. The 3 kids cheered for being away from the creepy pool and larvaes within. Then in the new path a buzzing noise was heard as one of the mosquitos appeared before them. This one was smaller than the other ones only being a little bigger than a person. This text was taken from Royal Road. Help the author by reading the original version there. Emperor reacted first while thinking ''Launching into the air won''t do as much against a flying enemy since even these pathways are decently large.'' -Heavy Punch Emperor charged and hit the mosquito easily as it tried to stab Emperor with its straw like mouth but didn''t attack quickly enough. The punch caused the mosquito to get launched backwards but it didn''t kill it. Stagola who moved to try and avoid this battle but still get good footage of the fight was right where Emperor launched the oversized bug. Stagola was forced to finish off the bug with his makeshift sword. He killed the bug but before it dissipated from the wound a blood fountain squirted out coating Stagola''s upper half. For the first time since entering the dungeon Stagola was in a bad mood trying to wipe the blood off himself while Emperor laughed at him. You survive enemy attacks, end up in unexpected places, and do something useful once in a while. You''re more like a cockroach than a parasite. Stagola''s title got changed from parasitic sponge to cockroach unbeknownst to Emperor. The new title wasn''t as bad as parasitic sponge but still had plenty of debuffs annoying Stagola. The 3 kids began to keep their distance from Stagola since he wasn''t able to remove the blood. Emperor was covered with blood too but thanks to his reputation, titles, and friendship with the kids they didn''t mind. Plus he was wearing full body sh*tty armour made from all sorts of materials so the blood sorta blended in. The group continued through the passageway encountering mosquitos once in awhile which they killed on sight though it always took a few hits to kill them. Emperor and Stagola both leveled up a few times but it was a mystery with the kids since determining the levels of NPCs was hard. Eventually they stumbled upon another chamber but this time it was a lot more labyrinth-like with spikes jutting out of the ground like reverse-stalagmites and a lower roof than the previous chamber. The mosquitos tended to venture much closer to the ground too and sometimes went into the maze of spikes. Not wanting to go back, the party went into the maze. Every once in awhile a mosquito the size of a car ventured down, spotted them, and then attacked them. Usually they didn''t spot them until they went down due to diagonal and horizontal branch offs from the spikes leaving limited sight below. They easily killed the mosquitos as they were vulnerable in the cramped space. Eventually their group came upon a strange scene. There was horizontal branches around a bunch of spikes in a way that makes walking into it impossible. The only way to get in was from above so the group decided to investigate this suspicious structure. Inside to their shock they found some of the villagers looking pale but still alive and in one piece. They began to hack away at the branches but couldn''t break them.
Ending it here at a Cliffhanger but I won''t be able to continue until Friday, sorry. I''ll use the week thinking of what to do after this arc so I can post 10 chapters next weekend too. Next chapter: http://www.royalroadl.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=3873 Chapter 15: The Caged Beast Short chapter I created on my phone so mistakes are probably more likely. I may add in more windows on Friday.
Emperor finding that they couldn''t break through looked up and remembered how the Mosquitos kept descending every once of awhile. He promptly began climbing the spike cage using the branches and came up to a flat platform-like area with a hole in the center. none of the others followed him for various reasons. The kids were scared of the Mosquitos while Stagola... ''Like hell I''m climbing that, it''s like an extremely crooked and slippery ladder with rounded steps.'' Thought Stagola. Indeed the branches were hard to climb up and Emperor struggled to get up them. The only reason why he could was due to his high strength giving him a vise-like grip and his abnormal balance from dealing with his heavy armour and Bull Charges. Before Emperor could do anything two Mosquitos surrounded him. After fighting tens of them since entering he was confident he could take them on alone but he didn''t consider the most important thing. Environment, the Mosquitos could fly out of the way and attack from strange directions at a moments notice. -Heavy Punch Since heavy punch could stop mid charge at the expense of power(despite the explosion status it was weaker due to less surface area used and less weight aimed forward). But the mosquito he aimed for easily dodged. He stopped and quickly turned around to start another attack but the second mosquito attacked from behind. It stabbed its straw-like mouth that was as sharp and thin as a rapier into his back. It didn''t do much damage and Emperor countered as the mouth pierced the armour but not fully leaving it stuck. -Crush
Critical Hit
Emperor leaned backwards then yelled the name quickly falling back. The force ripped the Mosquito''s mouth out of its head alongside its brain killing it instantly. Emperor silently cheered in his head but was vulnerable. The other mosquito grabbed him with its legs and carried him into the sky. Emperor desperately punched the mosquito without using any skills as he was unable to. The mosquito dropped him and he fell around two stories since the monster didn''t carry him for long. The fall itself was terrifying but the stop was painful. It didn''t kill Emperor though he was only left with 10% of his health left. ''Ouch it hurts so much I can''t even get up, d*mn realism'' Stagola and the kids ran over to him and dragged him to safety. Well Stagola actually "kept an eye out for monsters" while the kids dragged Emperor. After reaching a relatively safe spot they rested and ate. Emperor was recovering very slowly and actually fell asleep. The kids kept to his side while Stagola logged off. ~8 hours in-game later~ Emperor woke up groggily from the sensation of waking up in a game. He felt hungry and ate but found our it was his real body that was hungry. -log off Lynford hopped out of his Coma and began making a late lunch. Looking at a clock it was only 3pm. ''It feels more like I took a short nap rather than a full 8 hours of sleep'' Lynford went for a run while the good was cooking. When he got back he ate, showered, and then got back in his Coma.
Log-in procedure iniated
Emperor reappeared in the dungeon in the safe spot and waited for a little bit. As he thought Stagola soon logged in with a bright flash of light. -Alright parasitic cockroach lets get exploring, there must be a cage weaker than the others. They aren''t manmade, they''re the combination of natural structures and alterations done by bugs. Stagola agreed and they set off once again. Also Stagola''s title changed again but he didn''t really care to check how it changed. ~10 minutes later~ Emperor while managed to spot a cage that was different from the rest so he led himself and the others there. This cage was much bigger than the others with the branches not even starting until 15 feet high with a wall below. But the most noticeable thing is that the gaps between branches were big enough to fit through. ''The Mosquitos skimped on this one because of the wall but that''s no problem for me.'' -Bull Charge The wall was slightly sloped allowing Emperor to temporarily run up it. Thanks to this he was able to grab onto a branch and lift himself onto it. Without a sense of caution he dropped into the caged in space while the others could only watch. Emperor fell into the chamber on his feet and the first thing he noticed was that it was dark in there. Second thing was that a monster was charging at him. -Bull Charge Emperor charged himself to meet his enemy expecting the same thing as when he hit that wolf head on in the past. But instead they were equally matched and forced eachother to a standstill. Emperor''s skill canceled due to lack of movement but the monster kept going. It dug into the ground with its hoove and unbalanced Emperor by jerking its head. Unauthorized duplication: this narrative has been taken without consent. Report sightings.
Skill failed
Next thing Emperor knew he was getting pushed by his body at a fast pace. Then he was smashed into the wall accompanying a sickening crunch. "Impressive, human" said the monster -You can talk? Emperor squeaked out while hyperventilating from getting the air knocked out from his body and smarting from what he assumed to be a broken rib or two. "Yes my kind can speak your language, after all we''re quite similar in some ways". The monster said then stepped back under the hole where blood red light leaked through. The monster was vividly realistic, like something out of a nightmare. Not that the other monsters weren''t the same way but this monster was different. It had the lower legs of a goat, the body of a human, and the head of a bull. It had massive horns that were chipped and cracked in certain places but deadly with sharp points on it making Emperor realise that his armour saved his life once again. Also it was bipedal, walking like a human but with more power behind it as it had rippling muscles. It was like the combination of a Minotaur and a Satyr. Emperor was completely speechless but then thought to ask. -What are you doing down here? "Well it all started a year ago. Back then I was a part of a Nomandic tribe of Minotaurs in the plains far to the West across a small mountain range. In the mountains lived the Satyrs that we are in good relation with. One day my tribe and I went to visit my mountainous cousins, as I''m the chief of the tribe and make all the decisions-" rambled the monster ''He better not be giving me his life story!'' "-Well back to the topic. On that day we were visiting my cousins we heard a strange buzzing. We found the Satyrs under attack by strange flying creatures and they had already lost half of their forces. We of course came to assist but they were endless. While the creatures abducted our weak from above, hordes of wolves attacked us on level ground weakening us. It was a war of attrition and we were losing despite our tribes being much stronger they had the advantage of flying and numbers. One day the hordes cleared up and we celebrated. Alas we celebrated too early as the strongest horde yet hit us during the celebrations. It was led by a giant bug that was yellow instead of red and a giant wolf whose roars seemed to pierce the heavens."

Quest: Destroy the Source of the Waves Difficulty: B+ Time Limit: N/A The source of the waves has been revealed. The Alpha wolf and the yellow mystery bug are the perpitrators of the waves. Kill both of them to stop the waves as the monsters in the area will become unable to rally into large forces. 1/2 killed. Success: Unknown Failure: Unknown Effects of Failure: Unknown
''Sweet just one more boss for that chain quest. The previous rewards were mainly reputation and titles so now it''s time for the money and rare items.'' -Well as respective leaders we should work together to take down this yellow bug thingamajig.
Skill use fail
"First off we should start with the giant wolf since it''d be easier to kill, second you don''t look like a leader, third and most importantly we''re stuck in a cage." Replied the monster sassily. -First I''ve already killed the wolf, second I''m not a leader yet officially since my people were abducted before it became official, and third I have no idea how to get out either Emperor said all this in a prideful way which made sense for the first two parts but not the third. But before the monster could speculate they were interrupted. Keith called out from outside "Emperor are you okay!" -Yeah fine except I''m trapped so backtrack to the tunnels and train until I can escape! "So your name is Emperor young human, how silly. My name is much more amazing, it is..."
Yep ending it there but guess what you get to choose the Minotaur/Satyr hybrid chief''s name in the comments below. Not a vote I''m just going with whatever flows the best aka my opinion of what''s best. But you have a voice. If you''re mute don''t take offense to that statement, it''s just a saying. Naming ended. Next chapter: http://www.royalroadl.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=3902 Chapter 16: Mindless bashing Well this is the fourth weekend since starting this FF so one of these three days is the one month anniversary but I''m to lazy to check.
The Minotaur/Satyr hybrid said "My name is Khan, what do you think? Way better than yours." ''Is he an idiot, it''s pretty much the same name'' -Well Khan, do you know of any way to escape from here "Let''s barge it down, you can charge too so get a running start." said Khan -I don''t think that''ll work even with both of us besides I''m still a bit injured "Oh sorry about that I thought you were one of those bugs trying to drain me" apologized Khan -Don''t worry about it I recover fast. Emperor then funneled all of his unused points into Endurance which raised it to 100 Endurance total. After a little while he recovered completely with the help of food. Food speeds up health regen. and recovers stamina other than just filling the belly. Since he had plenty from raiding the remains of the camp he passed some over to Khan to. "You think I''ll eat your filthy human food?" Khan responded while eating all the food passed to him. -That reminds me, what do you normally eat down here? "The bugs drop down other bugs into the hole every so often, they actually expect us to eat it. It''s crunchy but flavorless, it sorta grows on you." Khan said in a contradictory way. ''It must be the same for the other cages so I have some free time to find a way out.'' -Khan how about we train with each other? "Why?" responded Khan. -We''re of similar skill with our charges so we can benefit each other by mindlessly bashing our heads together for a few hours. But of course you''re much stronger than me so maybe you can bash out of this cage with some training. "I like that logic, it''s flawless." said Khan pretending to know what he was talking about. They got into position at the opposite ends of the cage. The reason why they didn''t charge up the walls and grab onto a branch like Emperor did before was due to the cage''s shape. On the inside the walls were actually sloped outwards a little bit so it was currently impossible to climb up them. Also the floor on the inside was much deeper than outside so the walls were too high to run up. -Bull Charge Emperor charged full speed at Khan while Khan instead walked towards Emperor. Shocked Emperor couldn''t reacted as Khan performed a Lariat on him. Emperor did a full backflip before hitting the ground hard and had all of the air knocked out of his lungs. Khan started laughing as Emperor floundered on the ground in pain. After he recovered enough to get up Emperor ran towards Khan in rage. -Heavy Punch After fighting for about an hour both parties sat down out of exhaustion. Emperor thought ''Whatever happened to training our charges, that was a full on brawl.'' Khan then yelled "Good warm up now to train our charges, in a little bit I need to catch my breathe!" ''He didn''t need to even yell out that second part. Why were we doing a warm up, and can that even be called a warm up?'' Soon they lined up on opposite ends of the room again. This time Khan leaned forward and seemed ready to charge. Emperor once again decided to start. -Bull Charge This time Khan ran to meet Emperor head on. They collided once again and grinded to a standstill. Once again Emperor''s skill stopped so Khan won and pushed Emperor away. This time he didn''t bash Emperor into the wall. Emperor got back up and then readied himself again. ~8 in-game hours later~ ''He''s a complete definition of a monster in appearance and stamina. We''ve been doing this for so long yet forces me to continue.''
Skill level reached level 10, Bull Charge upgraded to Minotaur Charge
After Emperor quickly skimmed the window Khan called out. "Get back into position, we''re not don-" Khan said before falling over. He then started snoring and was deep asleep. ''Guess he was tired too, if I didn''t sleep in-game a little bit back I might''ve too. But sweet a new skill or upgrade of an old one.'' -Open skill Minotaur Charge info
Skill: Minotaur Charge Rarity: One of a kind Level: 1 One of a Kind skill created by an unusual action and armour set. Special action available due to it''s uniqueness. Recklessly charge at the enemy with the momentum from the weight of your body. Increasing weight and agility will increase the power of the skill but make it harder to control. Upgraded by using it a lot and training with a monster of true-blooded Minotaur descent. Unlike its predecessor it continues as long as you like. Even after hitting an object you can choose to keep pushing to knock it over or move it. Strength decreases chance of tripping and critical chance. Tripping will cause 1/4 of your health to be depleted regardless of level, surface, or defense. Damage may be increased by head decorations such as horns. Love what you''re reading? Discover and support the author on the platform they originally published on.Special action: Sometimes when you hit a target you''ll automatically lift your head launching it into the air and causing double critical damage. Damage may increase depending on how high the target is launched and what it hits when airborne. Damage determined by strength. Can continue charging after performing this action and you recover quickly. If you jump while using the skill you may be able to rapidly change direction mid-air then continue charging without losing much speed. When doing this to a very large monster it will skin it instead of launching it, reducing its defense in that spot. Chance of wounding monsters(injury,skin,cripple,bleed,knock-over,decapitation).
''It doesn''t seem that different at first but the improvement is huge.'' Emperor decided that was enough for today and logged out
Lynford exited the Coma with a skip in his step. But he wasn''t used to real life yet so he tripped. ''Ouch, that was my fault. Not yet bedtime so I''ll do a few things.'' Lynford put dinner in the oven then turned on his sci-fi wall TV thingamajig. It was on the news channel since that was where it last was before he turned the TV off. He was about to switch it but then something about Fantasy Chronicles popped up. The news channel seemed to be covering an interview about it. The news interviewer asked the guest "Why is the new Fantasy Chronicles'' commercial so popular?" The guest responded "Well we used real in-game scenes with permission of a few players, unlike the YouTube video that it''s based on it has several perspectives. It was quite gory so we had to put it only on a few mature channels and put it on YouTube so they can watch the full version. It was quite hard condensing it into a regular three minute long ad. But the full version is pretty much a movie and it''s receiving plenty of positive feedback." The guest continued ranting about the commercial a bit then took advantage of the show to talk a bit about the actual game. The interview wrapped up with the three minute version of the battle that Emperor participated in. Lynford quickly looked up the full video. It showed everything from Emperor heading into the woods after receiving a quest from Tom to slaying the Alpha Wolf. Lynford only skimmed the video and noticed that there was perspectives from the NPCs as well including the Alpha Wolf. Lynford then checked the views and comments. The video had over 20 million views despite the commercial appearing just that night. The comments were a mix of people asking where this event happened, saying how awesome the battle was, naysayers calling it fake or staged, some saying it was much better than the other video from two days ago,and most commonly those asking why the head of the wolf exploded. Windows were invisible to the viewers so Emperor''s skill set confused players. After checking all these things out Lynford decided to go to bed so he could return to the game as soon as possible. Of course he ate dinner first. ~8 hour later~
Log-in procedure initiated
Emperor appeared back in the cage with a flash of light. Khan turned around and said "Champion?!" Khan was standing in front of a hole in the wall leading to the surface with rubble scattered across the ground. "So you didn''t find a way out and abandon me, haha knew it all along. I was just -err preparing to rescue my friends using the strength I gained by training with you" Khan said not very convincingly.

Quest Accepted
"Okay let''s get going." replied Khan Just then a few mosquitos appeared before Khan and one behind Emperor. ''Sh*t we''re surrounded.''
Seemed like a good way to end the chapter. A bit longer than my average chapter. Next Chapter: http://www.royalroadl.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=3913 Chapter 17: Search and Rescue Whatever
Two mosquitos appeared before Khan and one behind Emperor. They were surrounded but they were anything but scared. Emperor wanted to test out his skill and Khan was enjoying finally being free of the infernal cage of spikes. -Minotaur Charge Emperor charged ferociously at his single opponent while Khan roared.
All stats increased by 1 temporalily due to ally''s skill
''Sweet'' Emperor then hit the mosquito head on since it was shaken by the roar. He didn''t kill it in one hit but he kept pushing and smashed it into a wall. Like a bug hit by a flyswatter it splattered blood and guts everywhere as it died. Emperor turned around to see both the mosquitos that were in front of Khan already dead. "What took you so long" said Khan ''Impressive, I have to watch him fight next time so I can copy one of his skills. It was too hard when I was on the receiving end of them.'' They left the cage and navigated the maze for a little while. Soon they found a spiked cage that obviously was too weak and small to hold a monster. Emperor saw some humans in the cage so he said. -Let''s break down this cage "That''s not right, no Minotaur would be stuck in there." replied Khan -But what if it''s a fairly young Minotaur or something else that''ll help us. If it''s not we can always eat it. Khan said "Sounds good to me" Khan began to charge at the spiked cage. It hit hard and resounded a cracking noise as cracks spread across the branches. ''This''ll work well'' -Minotaur Charge Khan backed up then initiated another charge synchronized with Emperor. After a few timely bashes and charges the wall fell. Khan was disappointed, Emperor was content, and the people were ecstatic. Soon all 12 of the people in the cage were following them. Whenever mosquitos appeared they would distract it by running close to them allowing Emperor''s and Khan''s charges to hit them easily. ~4 in-game hours later~ They managed to find a total of 100 of the villagers that were abducted but they didn''t find any Minotaurs or Satyrs. The villagers were in high spirits after being rescued plus the maze made it easier to fight any mosquitos that came down. But soon a slight rumbling was heard and the buzzing got louder. "The hordes of bugs are about to come out, they''ll surely notice us. We have 2 hours until they attack to prepare. What do you think Emperor" said Kendrick, who was among those rescued. If you spot this narrative on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation. -We''re going back towards the entrance to the caverns, that''s where the tunnels are the thinnest. The bugs will struggle to fight while we can bottleneck them. "Sounds good, which way to the entrance?" asked Khan -Follow me Emperor lead them to the tunnel entrance to the lake chamber. It was relatively close so it didn''t take long to get there. They began to funnel into the tunnel. Soon they found a small swarm of mosquitos that was demolished by their numbers before they could even react. Further in the tunnels they found Stagola and the three kids. They quickly explained the situation then set off towards the lake cavern. When they reached the chamber the villagers cried out in shock from the sight. Apparently the mosquitos knock out their victims somehow before bringing them here, most likely they drain them of blood which makes them faint. They begin to run around the lake. Most of them at this point were armed with various weapons: bones, bug chitin, spare weapons that were on their body before they got abducted, rocks, etc. So the villagers were able to kill the larvae that launched themselves out of the lake. The mosquitos that normally swarmed around the top of the cavern were gone. Apparently there''s tunnels near the top too and they''re all rallying in a deeper chamber for an attack. Eventually they reached the tunnel leading to the surface. They began to take up positions around various areas to fight the imminent swarm. The area was eerily quiet as the buzzing wasn''t heard at all. Soon enough the ground began to rumble and the buzzing, previously unheard, became unbearably loud. Around the corner the first mosquito came around and the war against the swarm started
Once again I found the perfect cliffhanger, next chapter will be an action one. P.S. I don''t lock chapters, if you find a mistake in a past chapter comment on it and I''ll fix it. Also did anyone notice that Chapter 15 was readable in the discussion post 2 days before I posted it as its own topic? If you did then good for you, if not don''t worry that was just a draft that needed lots of work. From now on I''ll put drafts in Discussion during the week. next chapter: http://www.royalroadl.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=3928 Chapter 18: Battle of Sangre The first mosquito flew around the corner with a few mosquitos following it. It seemed relatively small group but there was still a full 30 of them. The villagers rose from their hiding places after the mosquitos passed a certain point. Kendrick signaled them and they surrounded the mosquitos and began fighting them. 100 vs. 30 alongside a terrain advantage and surprise attack. The mosquitos were completely devastated before they could even attack once. But that wasn''t even a sample of what was to come as evidence of the approaching rumbling. Soon a group of 100 mosquitos turned the corner before the villagers could hide again. This time the villagers attacked from the sides forcing them to line up closely. The mosquitos towards the front continued forward while the ones in the middle started combat. These mosquitos prefer taking enemies alive so they can continually suck their blood over a long period of time at their leisure. They keep people and creatures like cattle which is why they grew to such great numbers. But this habit was a disadvantage as well. The mosquitos were killed while the villagers were only hurt by the mosquitos as they purposely missed vitals. The villagers were winning the fight due to this despite them being weaker than the mosquitos overall with equal numbers. -Minotaur Charge With the mosquitos lined up perfectly both Emperor and Khan charged straight through the center. They began to slow down when they hit the mosquitos but they kept pushing and pushing. Their putting pressure on the front and center forced mosquitos to be pushed to the sides where the villagers picked them off before they could recover and getting forced out of the swarm. Khan began to push ahead of Emperor while smirking. Emperor increased his speed to match him. In the middle of this epic battle the two with the names of leaders competed against each other while being on the same side. While Kendrick ironically took the leader-like position in the battle. Stagola was nowhere to be seen and the three kids were taking up support roles by helping the wounded and throwing rocks at the mosquitos. Soon Emperor and Khan pushed through the entire line of mosquitos. The remaining mosquitos were disorganized and scattered throughout the tunnel. Khan and Emperor started picking off the ones closest to them. -Crush Emperor crushed a mosquito that broke a wing from their original charge and it exploded. Khan on the other hand seemed to know martial arts and was beating mosquitos up with ease and ripping them apart. The villagers taking advantage of the discord surrounded each of the scattered mosquitos and ganged up on them. ''This is so easy, this quest would be a breeze if there wasn''t several thousands of mosquitos in this cavern. I gotta remember that this is just a scouting party.'' Soon the remaining mosquitos were mopped up and the loot was collected. Before the next swarm came they managed to organize themselves back into position and hide again. The next wave popped up but unlike the previous swarms it didn''t seem to end and the numbers couldn''t be determined by sight alone. This time Emperor and Khan started the attack while the villagers waited for the right opportunity. They dove headfirst into the battle. -Minotaur Charge Unfortunately even with their respective charges they weren''t able to push fully through the swarm and ended up stuck in the middle of enemy territory. Khan immediately started bashing the nearby mosquitos with his horn and then began punching other mosquitos. Emperor tried copying Khan''s style of fighting by punching and swinging his head around too.
Skill gained: Berserk
Passive Skill gained:Close Combat
Fighting style gained: Minotaur Mimicry
''Minotaur Mimicry?! I''m going to rename that later to Emperor''s Discipline. Can I even rename skills and styles?'' Emperor became distracted with his own thoughts and the windows while mosquitos surrounded him. They promptly began stabbing him all over but couldn''t pierce his armour so they did relatively little damage but it still started to add up and Emperor couldn''t do anything about it. Stolen from its original source, this story is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings. Just then a massive roar was heard throughout the battlefield forcing the mosquitos to flinch. The villagers cheered upon hearing the roar and headed into the battlefield to attack the immobilized bugs.
All skills increased by 1 temporarily due to ally''s skill
''Nice assist Khan'' -Berserk Emperor shouted out the skill then began viciously attacking the mosquitos surrounding him. Due to the close proximity, his skill set, and the roar his attacks were extremely effective.
Critical hit, Skill leveled up, Level up
Emperor crushed the enemies around him and then aimed towards the next set. -Minotaur Charge Emperor charged towards a group of mosquitos and easily ran them over. Soon it seemed as though they were winning but then the next wave of mosquitos funneled into the battlefield. Half of the villagers were too injured to fight and the other half were very fatigued. Only Emperor and Khan seemed able to continue fighting. Emperor started laughing not from giving up nor from going insane. No he was laughing because he''s never had so much fun before. It was a battlefield yet no-one on their side has died and if he died he would respawn. It was a chance to be in a life and death situation without any of the risks. Emperor was relishing this fight and started laughing louder and louder until-
Skill gained: Warmonger''s bellow
After that window popped up all of the villagers cheered and began fighting again. His laugh made them realize that even if they fell in battle they wouldn''t die so there was no reason to hold back. They fiercly began cutting down the mosquitos and committing acts of brutality like stabbing already dead mosquitos and aiming for places like the wings. In other words they began to make the mosquitos suffer when alive and dead. Emperor himself readied himself to start another battle. Soon a few villagers came into the tunnels carrying heavy loads which they transferred to the other villagers. Before the battle a few villagers were assigned to grab the weapons that were left behind in the camp where they first fought with the mosquitos and lost. They successfully brought the weapons and the villagers quickly armed themselves with proper weapons and armour. ''Quality over quantity, have a few gather up the weapons instead of fighting so we can get them properly fighting rather than using every man possible.'' Emperor once again laughed.
Skill use successful
He then turned towards the approaching swarm. -Minotaur Charge Using his trademark skill that was used so often that it got upgraded he once again charged straight into the swarm. The villagers followed closely behind him in a full on sprint. No more surprise attacks, tricks, fights from the side, or overwhelming them with numbers. Just a brutal straight on wedge assault. Just before they hit the first ranks of the mosquitos the chapter ended
I managed to pump this out right before I had to leave, so you get to read one chapter today. Be sure to comment, it makes me feel good about myself when I get feedback. Also thanks for the raise up to 4 cookies, trying to get the "The" dropped out of the name to make this FF easier to find as promised but no response from the admin so far. For now remember this as the "520" FF, just click on any FF then replace the number at the end of the URL with 520 to get here quickly. Next Chapter: http://www.royalroadl.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=3959 Chapter 19: Stagolas viewpoint Yes this chapter is relevant to the story, don''t knock it off just yet. From Stagola''s perspective obviously, not a side story.
Stagola and the 3 kids watched as Emperor ran up the wall and climbed into the spiked cage. He seemed to slip at the last second but managed to get a hold of one of the branches and crawled in. There was a bit of a ruckus inside and a smash. ''That was kinda cool but what the heck is going on inside!?'' The noise from inside died down mysteriously prompting an eerie silence. Soon Keith yelled at the top of his voice into the cage. ''Ouch, that was right next to me, my ear hurts now.'' Stagola stuck his finger into his ear rubbing it as though that would help somehow. While he did this Emperor told them to train while we go and train in the tunnels. They decided to listen to him and returned to the tunnel. Stagola followed these orders because he was too lazy to help Emperor, while the kids seemed to trust his word. In the tunnels they trained for a while. They set up ambushes whenever a mosquito sounded like it was about to turn the corner. Since most of them were the smaller ones they managed with just themselves. Since Emporor wasn''t there to tank they sometimes got injured forcing them to take rests quite often. This wasn''t a problem since they were in a place where the enemies came regularly but not overwhelmingly. They didn''t have to pull or aggro enemies so it was quite easy but Stagola still leveled up steadily. He put most of his points into agility and endurance so he could dodge enemies and recover quickly. He was matching up well to his title of cockroach. Sometimes the kids would get injured too and they healed much slower than Stagola. Since Stagola was the only one in the group that was clever enough to bring clothe he was tasked with patching them up. He managed to find the clothe lying around Sicheren Untergang, the battlefield in the forest as loot when the villagers'' armour broke, and by ripping off parts of his beginner''s armour that he doesn''t need like the sleeves. He secretly thought he looked cool without sleeves. Eventually while patching up one of the kids a window popped up.
Skill: First Aid acquired
''Aww a sh*tty support skill, whatever it''ll make this easier.'' -First Aid Stagola continues patching up the cut while activating the skill. A vivid green light appears from the bandage and entances the eyes. Stagola looks closely at the green glow and time seems to slow down. Leaves appear before his sight flowing through the wind freely. Unlike leaves in fall that''re brown, red, and yellow and seem dead they''re all a green color identical to the light. He looks closer to see all of the veins sticking out on a leaf and then a tiny bit of moisture flows down the leaf following its irregular shape and texture before falling off and dissipating. Then he feels something is wrong. Some of the leaves start to burn, others rip to pieces, some change color and dissipate, while the remaining hit the ground and slowly whither and rot. From the rot sprouts a new tiny sapling. It grows into a new tree experiencing many difficulties before finally releasing its own leaves. Stagola comes back to his senses with a bunch of windows in his face.
Understanding of life magic increased, Skill upgraded to Spiritual Healing, Skill leveled up, new title: Spiritualist
Keith before him, who he was patching up, removed the bandage quickly to reveal himself completely healed. Even the wounds previously patched up and ones not patched up yet were removed. ''Sh*t that was weird but I got a bunch of stuff from it'' -Show skill Spiritual Healing and title Spiritualist

''My first star skill and title are support variations!? Trying to force a healing class down my throat game? This must be the LMS and Skyrim influences on the game. You get set on a certain ideal character and get sidetracked.'' Stagola noticing the other two kids looking at him with expectant faces he decided to heal them too. ''It''s useful for right now, why not grind the hell out of it for when it''ll come in handy for myself.'' A few more hours later he told the kids to hide and logged off ~Real Life~ Eugene, Stagola''s real name, rubbed his eyes after logging off. He rmoved the body restraints on him and then lifted his legs out of the Coma. ''Today was a good day but nothing interesting enough to make a profit. I guess I''ll grab a snack then hit the hay.'' Eugene lifted himself out of his Coma then lowered himself into his wheelchair. His disability forced him to take odd jobs on the internet thanks to his expertise. After Fantasy Chronicles came out he decided to try out being a Dark Gamer that he''s heard so much about. So far it''s working out quite well due to Emperor. ''That event NPC gave out some annoying titles but he''s given me a decent start.'' ~6 hours later~ Eugene woke up from insomnia and decided to play Fantasy Chronicles some more. He transferred himself from his bed to his wheelchair and then later to his Coma.
log-in procedure initiated
Stagola appeared with a flash of light and went to the kids hiding spot. They came out and looked at him with the same respect they gave Emperor. Stagola found himself tearing up a little but quickly turned away from the kids and said -C''mon we''re going to destroy these mosquitos one at a time. I''ll heal any wounds so feel free to go a little overboard. It''s hard to learn how to fight if you''re too scared to get hit, I know this from experience... ''Too much experience'' thought Stagola but he didn''t say. ~around 30 minutes before Emperor met up with them~ After killing a mosquito Stagola thought to himself ''They''re becoming a breeze but since my skill also restores stamina I can still grind it'' Then the ground started to rumble and buzzing was heard everywhere. -Hide! Stagola and the three kids rushed to their hiding places as a swarm of mosquitos passed by them. They were the larger mosquitos found near the roof of the lake chamber while being everywhere in the labyrinth chamber. After a little bit they all passed by without even a hint of wariness as though that noise was more important than defending their home. "What should we do!?" (Keith) "I don''t know, why ask me?" (Kyle) "..." (Katy) -Calm your hormones brats, something is happening here as in this dungeon so let''s leave it The kids agreed and they followed Stagola as he went towards the lake chamber. The going was painfully slow as they had to hide constantly as hordes of mosquitos passed by irregularly. Eventually Emperor and the others caught up. ''D*mn i missed a bunch of action, he already rescued a bunch of villagers and a Minotaur!?'' ~Before the battle~ "Okay so you 5 go gather supplies from outside while me and Khan lead the battle-" Emperor was saying before Stagola tuned him out as a window appeared before him.

Stagola smirked and slipped away from the meeting and set off for Sicheren Untergang. But not before making sure he was in the group of fighters in the battle so he''d receive free experience.
I noticed lots of hatred for Stagola so I gave him some more backstory. But of course I''m not going to make him Mr. Secretly really nice but just tsundere, he''s got his dark side. I just wanted to justify his dark side a little bit. Chapter 20 will go back to the battle. Next chapter: http://www.royalroadl.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=3962 Chapter 20: Yellow Back to Emperor''s viewpoint. P.S. Passivly is a dick, he should''ve read the story a bit. Judging by the character is okay for deciding whether or not to read it but rating is a no go.
Emperor''s charge into the swarming mass of mosquitos hit. He was forced to stop to a complete standstill against this immovable mass. The villagers behind him attacked beside him, with proper weapons they quickly killed mosquitos but more appeared behind them. Emperor futilely continued pushing against this mass before him. Thanks to the villagers he didn''t get attacked at all as the mosquitos in front of him were squished against their kin. Khan charged towards the swarm himself in an odd way. He could''ve chose to charge from the side since there was just barely enough space and could flank them. But no he charged straight to the center just like Emperor. Which happens to be where Emperor is still located at this time. Khan crashed behind Emperor and instead of stopping he continued pushing Emperor against the mosquitos. ''What the heck is wrong with Khan!? Wait my feet are still able to touch the ground.'' Emperor managed to reach his feet to the ground and pushed forward slightly. He happily began pushing again with the force of Khan supporting him now rather than unbalancing him. He then began spamming a skill. -Impale Emperor kept using the Impale skill until the mosquito before him died which made Khan push him against the next mosquito. It began a strange co-op attack upon the seemingly limitless mosquitos. Soon they were deep withing the mass of mosquitos. Emperor continually used Impale as the mosquitos surrounded and pushed against him from all sides. Khan got separated from him but he was doing well with his martial skills. Emperor could only use Impale as the enemies were too close to effectively use Berserk. Which is ironic since the skill specializes in close combat. Emperor paused to catch his breathe and realized the whole situation seemed ridiculous. He tried to save his breathe to spam Impale again but the laugh started to leak out. The echoing laugh bellowed from his gut, it burned his dry throat but he didn''t mind. The euphoria from the adrenaline and the laughter itself served to restrict his sense of pain.
Skill Adrenaline acquired, skill leveled up
A slight rumble was heard and then the mosquitos as quick as they came they left. Emperor and the rest of the group were shocked but it was well received. The villagers saw it as the end of the battle and began cheering. Emperor, Khan, and Kendrick knew better, that was just a tactical retreat not a successful rout. They ordered the villagers to rest and recuperate for the next battle and did so themselves. Emperor quickly quenched his thirst then began laughing at nothing all of a sudden so he decided to check a few things.

''Nice but I really should rename that last skill.'' -Rename Minotaur Mimicry to Emperor''s Discipline
Request denied, Admin changed skill name to Empiric Minotaur Mimicry
''...'' Emperor then flipped off the sky then sat down. ''Close enough, did that admin think my naming sense was bad?'' Just then a rumbling was felt throughout the caverns and a sound like a helicopter was approaching their position. The villagers got up and readied their weapons once again. Emperor and Kendrick kept their ears and eyes open as the noise was more suspicious than before. Khan recklessly ran towards the sound as he wanted first blood. As he turned the corner he stopped seemingly for no reason then roared loudly as though he was trying to intimidate something then ran back towards them with fear in his eyes. -What''s wrong Khan!? "It''s that bug, the yellow one that leads the bugs." replied Khan Then they all turned as a giant bug turned the corner. It was hideous yet eerily shiny. The other mosquitos glowed as though they had bloodstones in their bodies but this one glowed as though molten yellow lava existed within it. It was as big as a 4 buses stacked in a cube shape and just barely fit through the tunnel. It had way more appendages than a normal mosquito making it look like a cross between a jellyfish and a mosquito. When it saw the group of humans that had been wreaking havoc on its territory it became enraged. It began to put its legs together and scraped them together like it was playing a bunch of violins. The noise that came out was earth shattering and ripped up the nearby ground. It sounded like nails against a chalkboardX10. It debuffed all the villagers, Emperor, and Khan with deafness and flinching. It then ambled closer to them and ended the chapter.
Sorry got distracted right before I finished the chapter. Next Chapter: http://www.royalroadl.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=4003 Chapter 21: Reinforcements Screwed up, RoyalRoadl logged me out from inactivity so when I tried to post this it prompted me to log in and everything was lost so very late.
As it ambled closer the boss began to raise its tentacle-like appendages and began to press them together. It created an awful noise by rubbing them like a cricket chirps using its back legs. A noise similar to nails across a chalkboard rang out echoing across the tunnel.
Debuff: Deafness and Flinching
Emperor and the villagers became unable to move or hear anything. Blood came out from the ears of some of the villager''s ears while others actually fainted from the noise. Emperor decided to stand defiant and laugh in the face of this impossible to win situation.
Skill failed due to Deafness debuff, Skill failed due to Golden Mosquito Leader''s level.
''Figures not even my newest skill will do anything.'' Before Emperor could recover from the debuffs he was hit hard by the boss and got launched to the side into the wall and fell into a pile of miscellaneous things like bones, dried blood, and feces. Emperor watched in apprehension as the mosquito closed in on the rest of their forces then a sudden darkness fell.
Debuff unconciousness
~???~ Emperor felt like a fish floating in the depths of his conciousness with only passing thoughts giving him company. Eventually he fell onto a path and stood up but there was no floor. He started wandering around while looking around even though there was nothing to see. Every once of a while a thought would pass by him and he would turn to look at it but couldn''t grasp it. Eventually something particularly strong passed by but was blurry. It continued to pass by but he couldn''t comprehend it as though it was mocking him. Eventually he fully grasped it in its fullness. "Spiritual Healing" ???
Health and Stamina fully restored, All debuffs cured, acquired Title: From the Brink
Emperor woke up bombarded with windows and a whole group of curious people. All of the villagers that he sent back to the village, Schmied, Stagola, and a few unfamiliar faces appeared before his sight. The others like Kendrick, the kids, Khan, and the rest were nowhere to be seen. Emperor quickly opened his quest window on becoming the Lord of Sicheren Untergang and found it mostly unchanged. Not again, they''re alright but missing. I''d be missing too if I hadn''t fallen into this pile of sh*t. He looked closely at the new additions of people and found most of them had armour made from wolf leather, scrap metal, or both. It was more inconsistent than the villager''s armour as though they didn''t care how they looked or thought they looked cool that way. "These are more champions like me that recently started in the village." said Stagola noticing Emperor''s curiosity. ''There''s about 50 of them, so many started out recently in the village.'' "I was only able to convince about one-fourth of them, the rest will join us after grinding a bit." said Stagola ''This isn''t even all of them yet so many, definitely the influence of the video.'' "So what happened here?" said Stagola finally. Emperor finally began to speak and told the story of what happened in the tunnels up until the point he passed out. After he finished Stagola called out. "This must be destiny, my calling for reinforcements has given us a chance to fight the boss and save the village. Of course to give the Lord himself a second chance as well." said Stagola Unauthorized use of content: if you find this story on Amazon, report the violation. Everyone cheered then they all delved into the dungeon. A few straggling mosquitos were found along the way and killed with ease by the villagers. Along the way Emperor asked Stagola a question. -What was that skill you used back there to revive me? "Spiritual Healing, just your average healing spell obtained by patching people up. It also can heal debuffs so I used it on you but I can only use it a few times in a row. Took quite a few tries to remove all the debuffs though, gotta grind it before it becomes more useful." ''Average? Sounds quite advanced to me, but grinding it sounds good so no need to say anything.'' Emperor also checked out his new title. -Show Title From the Brink
Title: From the Brink Rarity: 1 star You were brought to the brink of death and debuffed horribly. But you made a full recovery due to a skilled healer. You''re brush with death makes you more familiar with death itself. Benefits: +10 Endurance, increased familiarity with undead and those who''ve survived similar incidents Disadvantages: Less respect with churches as your miracle healing was not done by them and is considered witchcraft
''Nice benefits, the disadvantage well seems like a disadvantage but I can ignore it for now as this isn''t a religious area.'' They managed to quickly reach the first chamber which contained the tainted lake with the larvae. Everyone except Emperor and Stagola were amazed at the sight. They instead were worried due to the absence of mosquitos in the chamber and what it meant. They came nearer to the lake before one of the beginners ran towards the lake. He sat down near the edge and began drinking the water. He did this because he read in a forum that doing odd things can lead to unexpected benefits. He then started foaming from the mouth and a larvae sprung from the water and latched itself to him. Before people could react the noob turned completely pale from blood loss then dissipated as his health ran out. Some of the noobs thought it was cool while others were disgusted. Stagola then killed the larvae before it could drag itself back into the lake. Soon they were trekking alongside the lake with the villagers, Emperor, and Stagola killing any larvae that popped up. The noobs began asking Schmied to incorporate the chitin and other loot like bloodstones into their armour. Which ended up creating freaky falmor and daeda-like armour as though the game was Skyrim. At this time Emperor asked for some armour repairs as well. They ended up taking a break before entering the next tunnel. At this time many of the noobs allocated their points or logged off while the villagers ate and rested. Schmied asked Emperor "I can fix yer armour but I need some materials to do so" Emperor promptly digged through his bag and passed over the Alpha Wolf''s pelt, a normal wolf head, and some mosquito chitin. This odd loot surprised Schmied but he got straight to work. Emperor decided unlike the noobs he wouldn''t allocate any points until the next time he met the boss so he wouldn''t waste any of the points. Besides stats increase faster when they are relatively low.
Haha no boss battle for you yet, this holds half the content chapter 21 originally had but its more detailed than the original. Blame RoyalRoadl for the lateness or me for not noticing I wasn''t logged in nor copying it before submitting. Either or works for me. Next chapter: http://www.royalroadl.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=4007 Chapter 22: New Kicks and City I noticed that chapter 19 has 200 less views than 20, so if you feel confused about Stagola''s healing skill or what he did while Emperor was absent read it don''t skip it. Also not a boss battle yet, at least I don''t think so. Whatever I never alter my author''s notes, I just create a second one at the end. P.S. Japtem where are my bonus Ark chapters!?
Emperor took advantage of the chaos at camp to quickly log off, eat lunch, then log back in. Only an hour passed in real life but 4 in-game. At this time Schmied was done with Emperor''s armour alongside many weird weapons and armour sets for the noobs. Schmied helped Emperor put the armour back on then sat down. -Thanks Schmied, you did some good work now get some well-deserved rest. Instead of answering Schmied began snoring as though he predicted what Emperor said. Or more likely just passed out from exhaustion. Either way Emperor''s armour was vastly different from the original. The entire armour was filled with fur as the interior was lined with the Alpha Wolf''s pelt. The leftover pelt was used to make a sick cloak to go with the armour. The chitin lined along the edges of the armour and filled the broken parts of it. Pieces of bloodstone was used as decorative parts on the exterior of the armour glowing like blood red rubies. The wolf''s head was used for the hood part of the cloak. Overall it looked like a mix of Skyrim Daedric, falmor, and dwarven armour with a part of the stormcloak officer armour mixed in. The armour was pre-identified by Schmied so Emperor checked its stats
Armour: Lord of Sicheren Untergang''s armour Rarity: One of a Kind Durability: 689/700 A magnificent armour produced by a skilled craftsmen using the best and worst materials. The interior and cloak is made of high quality wolf pelts creating high insulation to cold temperatures and provides comfort. The armour itself is a mix of various ores, bug parts, and cursed rocks creating an extreme weight and dark resistance. Alongside an eerie glow useful in the dark yet draws the people closer to you in its mystery. It''s armour fitting for the future leader of a village. Requirements: 200 strength Benefits: +50 elegant, +5% Dark resistance, +25% cold resistance, +500 defence, +10 charisma, +10 leadership Disadvantages: -50% movement speed(-5% more if requirements aren''t met)
New stat Charisma acquired
The first thing Emperor noticed was that his movement speed was much faster now and the armour mysteriously felt lighter despite more stuff being added on. He just attributed this to the game being a fantasy game. Emperor roused everyone to continue on with the trip since all of the noobs were back and his armour was done. With his new appearance people were shocked but followed along with what he said. They trekked into the next tunnel where the mosquitos were even more numerous. Emperor took the lead and devastated the mosquitos with the help of his new armour. If you spot this story on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation. ''Hah who needs to allocate stats when new armour does even better. But I may increase my strength later so I can move even faster. But with a large group like this speed isn''t that important since the rest wouldn''t be able to keep up. Stagola seems to be the fastest but he''s lazy so he''s no good as a scout.'' Soon they exited into the spiked cage chamber, which left most of the people gasping in surprise once again. Emperor kept going suddenly motivated more than usual. Upon finding an undamaged spiked cage he immediately tried to destroy it. -Minotaur Charge He used a few charges and managed to destroy it within one minute but it was empty. He tried again on a few other ones but with the same result. ''They must be holding them elsewhere right now, maybe the place where the Satyrs and Minotaurs are.'' They continued through the chamber without incident as the normal mosquitos that linger above and swooped down occasionally were absent. It was more unnerving that they were absent prompting questions. Were they killed off in the battle or are they being concentrated even deeper into deeper chambers? Eventually they reached the other side of the cavern and descended even deeper into the caverns. This next tunnel was much bigger than the others and was frequented by mosquitos much more often and those of the larger variety. Everyone except a few of the noobs were unnerved by mosquitos the size of cars and trucks appearing before them. While they were all killed off, some of them did some damage like injuring villagers or killing a few noobs. The mosquitos don''t see Champions as food so they aren''t finicky about killing them. Obviously programmed by the system to prevent complaints about being trapped as a blood cattle in a spiked cage underground. They soon came out into the next chamber which was so magnificent that most of them fell to their knees. A full sized subterranean city lied before them. Giant mosquitos the size of monster trucks lingered around it and it was surrounded by sheer cliffs.
Yes the last word is a pun on cliffhanger. A bit small of a chapter but I wanted to give you guys some more stuff to read since I won''t post again till Sunday. Maybe I''ll post drafts again in discussion though. But most importantly there wasn''t much of a cliffhanger last chapter  . P.S. That was my first emoji usage in a chapter and it was in the author''s note, not even the actual chapter. Next Chapter: http://www.royalroadl.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=4222 Chapter 23: Classy Bridge First off sorry for being so late, got busy last weekend but I spent some time brainstorming. Second, thank you Count Dee for the userbar. Hrmm I should''ve gone with bard rather than minstrel and blue rather than purple but oh well I only did it on a whim. Third, why do I always feel tempted to write this while pooping?
An underground city was before them in all its glory, though it was in ruins. Unlike the previous chambers, this one wasn''t very well lit up. The normally prevalent bloodstones were only scattered about occasionally giving the city only an eerie silhouette. The depths beneath the city were completely dark making it impossible to see how deep it is. The only path to the city was a land bridge that was so covered in gore that it seemed to be alive and was quite thin. Emperor and the rest of them had no way of knowing whether or not it was sturdy. One of the noobs started walking across the bridge wanting to get the benefits that could be reaped by entering the city. Halfway over a mosquito appeared from underneath the bridge and casually stabbed the noob in the back. It started draining him but stopped before killing him and flew off elsewhere. The noob started stumbling and got dizzy from blood loss then fell off the bridge. The dark depths seemed to swallow him as he set off towards his doom. Seeing this spectacle it was decided that they needed to cross as a group in order to survive the trip but they still saw the bridge as unreliable. Therefore they split off into groups of 10 and trekked across it one at a time. emperor decided to go first while Stagola decided to go last. ~1 hour later in-game~ About 3/4 of their group had made it over the bridge since they were only going one group at a time and the bridge itself was very long. Most of them got over with only a few minor hitches. Mainly mosquito attacks at various points around the bridge since the bridge concealed what lies underneath them. Plus the lack of proper lighting wasn''t helping at all. They had plenty of bloodstones due to the noobs hoarding them and some of the villagers picking them up but dropping them off the bridge yielded nothing. Even the eerie glow of the bloodstones were swallowed up by the depths of the Tartarus-like pit. At this time a buzzing was heard in the distance coming closer so the remaining people decided to abandon caution for haste. They rushed over the bridge numbering twenty-five. It was mostly cowardly noobs, Stagola, and some villagers while wounds hadn''t fully healed yet. In the distance the source of the encroaching noise was seen. It was a mosquito that was as big as a monster truck, small compared to the boss but a monster compared to the other Mosquitos. Stagola as the fastest in the group could''ve ran ahead of their group but didn''t. Stagola thought ''Sh*t, I can''t run ahead or I''ll catch its attention. Why is my fodder so slow?'' Stagola then began to use spiritual healing on his companions to restore their stamina and make them run faster. As a side effect he completely healed the wounded villagers and increased his familiarity with them unknowingly. An act of desperation resulting from extreme selfish-ism mistaken as goodwill may not fool the main AI but it fooled the villagers. AKA the AI rewarded him despite him knowing otherwise because the villagers were mistaken. The giant mosquito reached the bridge while they were only three-fourths of the way over the bridge. The noobs, overconfident from all the level ups and their armour, forgot what happened at the lake. They charged at the mosquito while the villagers started to slow down. Stagola pushed the villagers and told them to keep going. Once again the villagers mistook what he meant by this. The villagers interpreted this as "Don''t let their noble sacrifice be in vain" and continued running while silently thanking the noobs. In reality Stagola had a darker meaning behind his words. He meant "They''re already done for and will respawn later, let''s use them as bait so we can cross the bridge." Obviously Stagola valued the villagers and himself far more then the players that had just started. Turning back while running, Stagola saw the battle between the noobs and the mosquito. The mosquito seeing them as easy prey casually stabbed its mouth into one of them and drained him of blood. While the noob dissipated the other noobs attacked a variety of places including its legs and mouth. The other parts were too far away as one noob quickly found out by falling to his death. They did minimal damage but it enraged the mosquito. It flew into the air a bit higher which made two of the noobs which were just swinging their weapons at the time slipped from the momentum and fell into the abyss. Next the mosquito brushed one of its legs against the bridge and jerked slightly. The noobs, some of them more acquainted with games and knew what it was going to do while others by reflex, jumped into the air to dodge a leg that didn''t come. Right before they landed the mosquito sweeped its leg for real and hit most of the remaining noobs. Some of them dissipated on contact while others that invested into Endurance survived only to be brushed off the edge to their deaths. Only 2 of the noobs managed to survive this ordeal and started running towards the city. They realized that they were too weak and disadvantaged to fight this mosquito. The mosquito followed them at a leisurely pace, completely forgetting about Stagola and the villagers. Before the noobs could reach the other side they were both stabbed and drained of blood. One of them was even crying before he died leaving only some mystery jerky and some bloodstones to mark his demise. The group now numbering around 75 from losses throughout the caves, all of them were noobs, fled into the city. The city had many alleyways and buildings to prevent the giant mosquito from entering. They had mixed thoughts about the event that just occured. Emperor thought ''That mosquito was intelligent, it feinted the noobs to prevent any dodging. It must have experience with guarding that bridge or it''s very clever with battle experience to match it.'' Stolen from its rightful place, this narrative is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings. Stagola thought ''That mosquito was a complete sadist. These mosquitos get cruel when they don''t feel the need to keep you alive. Thankfully it''s easily aggroed and distracted.'' Various thoughts about how horrible the sight was skewed about in the thoughts of the villagers and most of the noobs. A few of the noobs thought the scene was awesome. These few noobs not only enjoyed the show but didn''t fear death, not even their own. They boldly walked with the first group crossing and enjoyed gory movies in their free time. They actually were disappointed that they only dissipated rather than getting disemboweled, decapitated, or at least created a drained mummy like corpse left behind. These thoughts were all interrupted by a few windows popping up. Soon new conflicting thoughts came into play.
Discovered Ruins: City of Sangre de Negro A ruined city deep in the Sangre Caverns that seems to be the source of the glowing bloodstones and dark magick in the air. It was once inhabited by the reclusive blood sorcerers who were hated by all races except the dwarves, whom they were neutral with since bloodstones make for good lighting in caves. The city has no trace of life and neither the blood sorcerers nor the dwarves that made it are in sight. Mysteries lie abundant in this dormant city of darkness. Reward for discovery:Ownership if Sangre Caverns is cleared, Blood Sorcerer class, Dark Resistance +1%
A dark miasma covers the city, -10% dark resistance due to non-dark class or lack of class, reduced stamina from heavy atmosphere, -10 all stats
Class Change: Blood Sorcerer You can now become a Blood Sorcerer, mysterious sorcerers that use dark and blood magicks while lying in the depths. Benefits: +10 all stats, new skills, +10% dark resistance, immunity to dark miasmas Neutral: Mana stat removed and replaced with Blood, Mana Reg. removed and replaced with Blood Purity Disadvantages: -All reputation with everyone except dwarves, dark races, and undead, -1000 reputation with everyone except dwarves, dark races, and undead.
Accept Class change Yes/No
Emperor and Stagola immediately replied no while others took the time to ponder. Emperor had too much invested into physical stats to become a mage-like class while Stagola would lose his healing magic that he had grinded up to level 5 already. Soon enough the dark miasma surrounded a few of the noobs and some of the villagers. This shocked most of the players since they assumed the option was only available to them. This shock was lessened as the villagers showed shock too. This indicated that the choosing for whom would class change among the villagers was forced upon them either randomly or by some unknown condition. Soon enough both villagers and noobs were experimenting with newfound skills. After a little while of resting and experimentation they began to go deeper into the city. The blood sorcerers seemed to be weaker from their skills as it actually uses up their blood instead of mana. But this was countered by the extra stats and immunity to the miasma. So they managed to keep pace with everyone else. They entered a few buildings and found various books and cursed items. The blood sorcerers were the only ones able to touch them so the NPC Blood Sorcerers picked up a few out of curiosity. While the Champion Blood Sorcerers hoarded these items. One of the most common was Blood Sorcerer robes which the noobs and NPCs alike changed into. The noobs had many adverse effects with their current armour due to their class so they changed into the robes. While the NPCs felt more comfortable in the robes. The villagers didn''t seem to dislike the Blood Sorcerers despite their drop in reputation. This proved that familiarity just like in real life overpowers reputation. The villagers had automatic high familiarity with each other while the noobs slowly acquired familiarity by talking with them, traveling with them, and even just taking on the quest. Though too minuscule to show in a window it built up far enough so they wouldn''t be shunned. A few of the buildings were in too bad of condition to enter or surrounded with strange magic that prevented even the Blood Sorcerers from entering. Once in awhile a smaller mosquito would venture down only to be killed quickly by the BS''s before they came within range of anyone. Their magics were quite powerful but came at a price. They gradually weakened until everyone was slowing down their pace for them so they decided to take a rest. All of the players except Stagola and Emperor logged off. "Today was pretty awesome" said Stagola -It felt much longer than a day, but yes we''re making good progress ''Oh yeah, he''s an NPC so to him it has been more than one day'' thought Stagola "Let''s kill the boss next time we meet." said Stagola -Of course, we''re going to need that healing skill of yours, see ya later Emperor then logged off leaving behind Stagola with a blank expression.
Very long chapter as sorry. Not that long compared to other FFs but long compared to my other chapters. Stagola finally found out that Emperor is a player. Also I''m gonna keep this userbar rather than changing it. I''ll just say I''m Gakupo and he''s got some orchestra like songs so minstrel makes sense for him. As always feedback is nice, and I sta- er check all the comments. P.S. I made the title a lame pun hehe. Next: http://www.royalroadl.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=4237 Chapter 24: Sangre First off most of my chapters except for discussion, Stagola''s viewpoint, and side stories has an average of a little over 1000 views which is awesome. Second I''m not pooping while making this chapter so I might not post today, instead I''m more likely to post Saturday. Also yes I shall refer to the Blood Sorcerers as BS from now on and I''m aware that its already used as an abbreviation for Bullsh*t and Bachelor''s of Science degree. P.S. If you ever comment on any of the posts it glows red to me so I will check it and usually respond so go back and check on comments that you asked a question about if you''re curious. P.S.S. I just realized its going to be a major pain to do stats and skills this time around with how long this arc is.
When Emperor logged back in the next day, Stagola was already there glaring at him. Emperor snickered and then burst out laughing while Stagola seethed. -You actually believed that I''m an NPC this entire time, priceless. I knew referring to you as a champion like the NPCs do would pay off in some way. "You''re an a**" replied Stagola, who then walked over to chat with the other players. Emperor went over to apologize then organized the group to start up their journey again. He noticed while doing this that two of the noob BS''s had Schmied combine the BS cloak with their old armour to remove the class disadvantages from it while adding on some of the cursed items to upgrade it. ''Clever usage of the cloak and items but having a fork and book with evil energy seeping out of it attached to your armour is a bit strange looking.'' They began walking through the city once again before eventually finding a place near the center that seemed like a square or plaza. In the center it had a fountain but instead of water, blood sprayed from various sources. It was a statue of a baby to an old man, all of the faces twisted in disturbing ways. The blood flowed from various sources including the nose, mouth, eyes, scars, etc. It was a gruesome sight but some of the BS''s began to drink from the fountain and they said it was high purity blood. Apparently this was the equivalent to a mana potion. They stopped and canteens were made to carry some of the blood because it would be useful in the battle against the boss. It took them another hour to reach the other side of the city. Which showed a tunnel leading even deeper into the caverns but there was another bridge. Not as long as the first and a little bit wider but it was pretty much the same otherwise. This time they decided to cross all together as the previous bridge proved to be quite sturdy and deciding groups now would cause fighting amongst themselves. This time the crossing was uneventful as only a few minor mosquitos attacked. Normally it would cause some problem as their cramping into a group prevented them from luring the mosquitos close enough to surround and kill. But with the BS they didn''t even need to care as they formed iron spikes from their blood and shot it at the enemies. As they entered the tunnel they felt a warm draft flowing from the cave. Also it was wider than the previous tunnel, once again suggesting it was used more often and by bigger things. They warily entered, keeping an eye out for any oversized mosquitos. The cave didn''t have much bloodstones in it so the noobs that hoarded unreasonable amounts of them took out some to use as a light source. They also passed some over to others that didn''t have any. It created a scene like fireflies flying through the night sky due to the red glow and empty darkness. A few mosquitos traveled towards them once in a while but were completely unprepared to fight. They seemed to be attracted by the light rather than the people holding it and they were very small compared to the other mosquitos. The melee fighters easily wiped them out whenever they came, allowing the BS to recuperate lost blood over time. This was to preserve the fountain blood until they reached the boss. The size of the mosquitos was disappointing to some of them. A few of the noobs were hoping to encounter and fight the giant mosquito in these tunnels. They reasoned "Better here than on a bridge or in a chamber". Eventually they entered another chamber that was almost pitch dark. They couldn''t see the roof nor could they see the floor that far ahead of them. There was a few hill-like structures in the distance that faintly glowed red. While they took in these sights a suspicious sound caught their attention. Drip! Drip! Splat! Crunch! etc! They had no choice but to slowly inch forward while keeping their eyes on the ground. They remember the pit in the previous chamber and they didn''t want to be introduced to anything similar. They semi-consciously headed for the nearest glowing hill because of curiosity about the sound which was coming from the hill. They reached the hill without encountering any bottomless pits or traps. The hill up close revealed itself to be a mound of pure gore with some bloodstones mixed in. A small mosquito pulled itself out of the mound and flew closer to them which they killed. Then a plop noise was heard as a larvae hit the hill from above. It immediately began digging into the hill but it was killed by one of the noobs that was climbing the hill casually. He was a gore fan that giggled from the sickening crunching noises coming from underfoot. Then a quest appeared before all of them.
Quest: Purify the Blood Mounds Time Limit: N/A Difficulty: E+ Requirements: Have Blood Sorcerers in your party/raid group Ancient mounds of gore were constructed in the caverns by the BS''s in worship of their patron god. Now the mosquitos use them as places for their young to metamorphose into adults in a nutrient rich environment. Cleanse the mounds of their insectile filth and erect barriers to protect them. The god behind the Blood Sorcerers is both generous and cruel. Rewards: +5 permanent blood stat to Blood Sorcerers, non-believers will be given misc. rewards, new mosquitos spawn slower Failure: All Blood Sorcerers in your party/raid group die Effects of failure: All Blood Sorcerers -10 all stats, 2 items from everyone is randomly cursed
''Sh*t for only a E+ quest those rewards and effects of failure are great.'' One of the Blood Sorcerers cheered and said yes thinking that this quest was awesome.
As the quest was accepted by one member, the god Sangre has interpreted it as all of you accepting it. Quest accepted
''That idiot, without even considering to refuse nor talking with us. Oh well we were probably going to accept anyways.'' -Ok Blood Sorcerers do you have any sort of barrier/purifying skills? The story has been illicitly taken; should you find it on Amazon, report the infringement. One of them responded "Yes but both take a while to charge up so we haven''t used them at all." -Perfect start purifying this hill then set up a barrier later. We will defend you while you do it. The E+ difficulty suggests that enemies will come and attack us while you do this. One of the noobs said "Such a generic quest, but with a name like Sangre I''m hoping to get vampiric weapons from him. It''ll be sweet to get a weapon that absorbs the enemies health." Another one said "Not very likely since it''s only E+ difficulty, even if you get a sword like that its stats will be sucky." A third one said "But it said something about him being generous that must be the rewards." A fourth one said "The generous part could also apply to the effects of failure, saying he could do much worse but doesn''t. While the cruel part refers to the rewards to non-believers." The noobs continued contemplating while the BS''s started up their rituals. The villagers only looked at them confused at what was happening. Noticing this Stagola told them that the BS''s were going to kill off their young then block off the place where they grow so we''ll encounter less mosquitos. After he said this a window popped up in front of the champion BS''s about familiarity rising which was ignored since they were concentrating. Their ritual started with them cutting themselves then spreading blood around the perimeter of the hill then lining up on this line of blood. They began chanting strange words without any unity. There seemed to be no set chant for them as one of the noobs was even chanting about penguins. An eerie red glow spread covering their bodies which quickly turned brown like dried blood while dark miasma covered the area.
A dark miasma covers the area, -5% dark resistance due to non-dark class or lack of class, reduced stamina from heavy atmosphere, -5 all stats
''This will make things more difficult, at least it''s weaker than last time.'' Just as expected mosquitos came closer to investigate the miasma and glow. They were quickly killed since they were aggroed by the BS''s and didn''t even notice the other people. Their group easily surrounded the hill and set up a defensive line. The mosquitos came from all directions explaining the + in the difficulty level but with their numbers the only difficult thing was the wait. Thankfully the BS''s could do the purifying and barrier at the same time. After ten minutes a surge of dark miasma surged into the hill. Bits of insect chitin flew out of it like rockets then a brownish red aura surrounded the hill.
The dark miasma has dispersed
1/10 Sangre Blood Mounds has been purified and protected
They got ready to set off towards the next hill when a sound was heard. Plop! Schreee! A larvae landed on the hill only to make a shrill noise then explode violently. Some of the noobs cheered while even the villagers smiled a bit at the sight. The villagers were being desensitized and peer pressured to enjoy to such sights. Which is a good thing since desensitized people made good soldiers. The champions didn''t need to be desensitized since they saw it as just a game. The rest of the mounds were purified without a hitch and the quest got completed. After they set up the final barrier instead of the black miasma disappearing it compacted above them in a maelstrom shape.
Quest Completed
Then various items dropped from it and levitated towards the non-BS players and villagers. Emperor received a strange red horn that had not a single scratch upon it. Its slight yellowish color gave it a bloody enamel color and it was slightly twisted right before the end. The end appeared to be razor sharp and had real dried blood on it. He handed it over to Stagola to identify it. Stagola himself received a fork and was depressed.
Item: Sangre Tooth Rarity: 3 Star The tooth of a god, extremely sharp and hard. Would be rarer if Sangre didn''t have thousands of teeth that often fall out and regrow. Given as a quest reward on a whim after it fell out while Sangre was searching his dumpster for reward items. Can be sold for a high price or implemented into equipment. If implemented into equipment it will increase bleeding when attacking enemies, raise dark resistance, and increase respect with dark races/undead. But it may negatively impact relationships with anyone related to churches of light.
Item: Sangre fork Rarity: One of a Kind A fork used by a god, eww. It is very durable and made from an unusual material. It used to be cursed but that was removed by Sangre before he gifted it. It can be sold to unusual people or melted down by a very skilled smeltor.
People got all sorts of unusual items, some useful and others... not so much. Prompting the observation that the generous and cruel part both applied to the reward. But Emperor was very satisfied with his reward and asked Schmied to attach it to his armour. He refused and said he didn''t have the right tools for that and wasn''t skilled enough. After examining the items and resting a bit they headed off towards the other end of the chamber. It was lit up by a few bloodstones. When they reached the tunnel the giant mosquito appeared before them.
Here''s chapter 24, lots of windows this chapter. Thought the tooth may be a bit overpowered so it won''t be attached until after this arc. I''m not delaying the boss battle on purpose, it just sorta happens as I get new ideas that I want to incorporate. Also even though the mosquitos are referred as such they aren''t, this allows me to add in things that mosquitos don''t do. The hills of gore then metamorphosing is inspired by maggots and flies. The larvae are inspired by leeches and Monster Hunter giggis. Next chapter: http://www.royalroadl.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=4367 Art Contest and comic After contemplating for awhile I''ve realized that my story is more suited for a graphic novel than a normal FF. Therefore I''m going to create an FF comic version of the story alongside the normal story but I''m a slightly bad artist so it''s going to be like One-Punch Man, good story but awful art. But later on I''ll color chapters and hopefully find someone willing to redo the art. Today I have the title completed so I''m hoping for you guys to complete it instead of me then vote for your favorite. Rules: 1. Use the provided template as an example. 2. Use color, bright or dark doesn''t matter. 3. For me this means major lag everywhere when I planned on releasing this chapter and a comic book chapter but instead I might crawl this chapter out before the night is up. The new format is kinda cool, too bad I can''t see it half the time when the page actually loads.
[/hr] Everyone was shocked as the giant mosquito from the bridge appeared. It seemed to smile as it saw them but its insectile face was unreadable. Before they could get into battle positions it sweeped its leg across the ground injuring a few people and killing others on contact including a few villagers. Unlike the other mosquitos it wasn''t adverse to killing villagers rather than taking them prisoner. -Get into position, this thing is weaker than the boss. If we can''t kill then we can''t kill the boss. Even worse it may come to the aid of the boss if we don''t kill it here.
Leadership and Charisma increased by 1
The villagers and players alike got into position to fight the giant mosquito. The mosquito itself casually repositioned its arm for another sweep across the ground. Half of the Blood Sorcerers started shooting blood iron spikes at the mini-boss while the other half started charging up a stronger spell. The normal villagers and champions raised their weapons and were about to charge at the mosquito. Emperor lead the imminent battle with a sudden shout. -Minotaur''s Charge! Emperor charged at the mosquito''s leg as the main body was out of reach. The villagers followed him closely behind while the champions lagged behind the frenzied charge. The mosquito was distracted by the Blood Sorcerers shooting at its face and raised one of its legs to cover itself while raising its straw-shaped mouth. It stabbed out with it instantly killing one of the champion Blood Sorcerers. The Blood Sorcerers that were charging up spells released them. All but one of them used blood drain to sap the mosquitos blood, mana, and stamina. While the remaining one shot out a giant blood iron spike at it. It pierced its face causing massive damage and enraging it. Immediately afterwards Emperor hit one of its legs. The leg made a crunching noise as it was violently pushed away. The villagers started attacking the broken leg and others.
Status inflicted: Broken Bone
''Insects don''t have bones!? Is this fantasy insect an exception or is it referring to the exoskeleton on the outside of the body?'' Emperor ran a bit into the tunnel before jumping and twisting his body. Turning around he saw the mosquito droop down a little but it started to whip around its legs in a rage but didn''t seem to kill anything as it didn''t hit anyone head on with its berserk. Emperor continued his charge back towards the mosquito but noticed something. The giant mosquito was near the side of the tunnel and the tunnel was circular with a gradual slope. He changed the direction of his charge diagonal towards both the wall. He increased his speed by leaning forward more changing the center of his gravity. This required more strength and concentration to manage but gave him the needed speed to run up the wall. Also as added benefit sloping his body forward made it easier to climb the semi-steep slope(Staying close to the ground actually makes it easier to climb a slope, trust me I''ve climbed mountains before with 45-55 degree angles on wet rock). He ascended the slope quicker than he predicted so he almost panicked and fell but kept going. Eventually his charge brought him near upsidedown at a huge height and he couldn''t climb higher. His foot dug into the ground but the next touched air as his momentum filled climb ended. He started to drop but noticed that he was straight above the mosquito. -Crush His fall sped up from the skill. Like a meteor falling from the sky, he dropped onto the giant mosquito. Time seemed to slow down for him during his descent. Facing headfirst towards the ground he altered his course to aim for the center of the mosquito. Right before he hit the mosquito he managed to squeek out one more thing. -IMPale (uneven lettering to emphasize squeek)

He hit the mosquito brutally hard and pierced straight through its body hitting the ground hard. The giant mosquito fell over while twitching but not yet dead. The villagers quickly pulled Emperor out of the ground while the champions stood blankly in shock. Emperor lost 95% of his health from that attack but he was wary of the downed mosquito. Ambling over to the mosquito he observed it squirming in pain and then saw its mouth weakened from the previous giant blood iron spike. Emperor decided to tug on the straw-like mouth with all of his strength. Thanks to the weakening and the stunned state, he managed to rip the mouth out of it bloodily. Emperor said "yes" as a blood fountain scattered around him. A glowing light surrounded him while the giant mosquito''s body dissipated. The light surrounding separated from him and compacted into a ball before entering him. The giant mosquito left behind some high quality chitin, containers of blood, some webbing from its wings, and a giant straw-like mouth. Emperor pocketed the mouth as it had shrunk to a managable size and a little bit of chitin.

''sick benefits.'' The villagers and champions started cleaning up after the battle. The Blood Sorcerers took the blood bags while everyone else split the high quality chitin. Emperor took the webbing as no-one else seemed interested in it. Soon Schmied was surrounded by people wanting their armour upgraded while Emperor decided to log off and check the rest of his new class related stuff later.

Lynford got out of his Coma while being a bit disoriented. So far it''s been about a week since he started playing the game but he already got a unique class and reached level 62. This was quickly cleared up as his phone suddenly began to ring. Most of his apartment was modern except for his phone which was a land-line and a complete antique. He picked it up from a yard sale on a whim since he was only in a mood to talk over the phone at home. Since he was a former waiter and now unemployed this didn''t interfere with his lifestyle. When he answered the phone a familiar female''s voice sounded out. "Why hello there Emperor could I bother you with a quick meeting in real life. This is Kandi from Nintendo" said Kandi in a slightly forceful tone -Sure...? ~30 minutes later~ They met up at a restaurant of Lynford''s choosing. Lynford was dressed messily in his only pair of formal clothing and was slightly uncomfortable. On the other hand Kandi was wearing designer brand clothes and stood out in the restaurant like a sore thumb. But she looked completely at ease in this environment. This suggested that she was used to business meetings in odd places and was either higher up in the company then he first thought or she slept around. Kandi herself was Brunette with long hair tied up in a ponytail. She had a nice figure and a nice personality. She was leaning forward seductively and started talking as Lynford seemed unwilling to initiate the conversation. "So it''s the legendary Emperor himself in person" she said casually -Please call me Lynford, it feels weird to be called by my game name in real life. By the way what do you mean by legendary? Lynford''s eyes shined sensing that she had in store complements for him. "Well your quite famous in the game thanks to the video and the happenings in Sicheren Untergang. But more importantly-" said Kandi until Lynford interrupted her. -The happenings in Sicheren Untergang? It should be relatively event-less due to the NPC''s and me not being there. Kandi''s face turned sour from being interrupted but she decided to sate his curiosity a little bit. "But that''s just it thanks to the NPC''s being gone the village has become even more popular for beginners. Among other things there''s no soldier NPC''s to stop players from immediately hunting and the size of the village has increased several times. But really what I want to discuss with you about-" Kandi said before Lynford interjected -Increased in size? Popular with beginners? We''ve got all dinner to discuss important things why not start with some less important but interesting things? Khandi sighed then said "The guards around starter places are there to protect new players from stupidly setting out then dying quickly. Usually they would die then stay for the time period or further out of their own will after realizing they aren''t ready yet. But thanks to you killing Alpha and holding up the free roaming monsters from the nearby dungeon all the nearby mobs are weakened. The players rarely die as their sheer numbers overwhelm everything they encounter." -What about when the mosquitos left the dungeon in waves, I damaged their numbers but I didn''t stop them. "Exactly since you weakened them they decided to avoid attacking Sicheren Untergang." Kandi said smugly -Why? They have great numbers and high levels with a thirst for blood. Sicheren Untergang should look like a tasty snack to them. Kandi looked at him surprised then said "You''re underestimating the number of players there. There''s so many of them that they''ve expanding the village by building shacks all around it and filled all the houses normally occupied by NPC''s. Nintendo estimates their numbers to be around 10,000 in a village meant for a maximum of 500 people. There''s so many that any mob that spawns within a few kilometers is almost immediately killed. The chicken mobs that spawned in the immediate vincity of the village have actually gone extinct and the other mobs now gain fear debuffs when they see champions. All because of what you''ve done." Lynford savored what she said especially the last part. ''There''s something romantic about chaos that you''re responsible for.'' Kandi then said "Back to the important things I''ve got two things for you." she once again leaned forward seductively then whispered forcing Lynford to move closer "First Nintendo wants to hire your perspective for the first half of your dungeon raid, same deal as last time. Second I''ve got your cut of the money made off the first video all ready in cash." The reason why Kandi was trying to seduce Lynford was to distract him from the deal being given. There was a chance that Lynford could demand better terms for the second video or even the first due to its popularity and lack of a proper contract between Lynford and Nintendo. But Lynford was more distracted by the new info given to him besides he wasn''t aware he could demand a better deal. In his perspective the deal was heavily in his favour. -Yeah sounds good to me Kandi silently cheered in her mind. Before anything else could be said their food came out and they began eating. Awkward silence ensued as neither knew what else to talk about. Lynford was uncomfortable with starting conversations and Kandi accomplished what she set out to do already. After they were done eating Kandi passed over a stack of bills wrapped up with a rubber band, stripper style. Lynford was shocked at the amount and first thought it was some sort of joke with smaller bills underneath the highest bill. But Kandi had already left before Lynford could ask her anything. Of course leaving the bill up to him. He went to pay the bill and chatted with the owner quickly. The owner said "Wow that was a hot girl, no offence but I doubt that was a date." -Some taken, but you''re right it was just a business meeting. "Looked more like a drug deal but I don''t care what my customers do as long as they''re paying. Remember that one guy that destroyed the bathroom and ate his silverware." said the owner -Yes it was hard to forget especially when you forced me to clean it up. "By the way thanks for the business and not holding any hard feelings for me replacing you." said his former boss before he ambled back into the back area of the restaurant. ''It was more of me not knowing any other restaurants and being forced to choose the location but whatever floats his boat.'' Lynford then hurried home to count the money he earned from the video. Back in his apartment he took out the cash and started counting it. Starting with the $100,000 bill in the front. -It is a prank... His knees started shaking as the next bill was a $1,000,000 bill. Counting it up there ended up being $42,000,000 total. All in cash with recently minted bills. Bills made for almost exclusive usage by the 1% fortunate and bankers. Only implemented recently from recent pressuring for more convenience. ''This means that over 4 billion people have watched that video officially without torrenting or using ad-block! How popular is this freaking game that I just earned that much money!?'' Lynford turned on his wall TV and began surfing the news channels. Most of them were talking about Fantasy Chronicles. The exceptions were FOX and CNN which were too busy dissing each other and spreading lies or cutouts of the truth. He continued onto the internet where he found out that the news station that interviewed King was now looking to interview him. ''Nice try but if I go now I''ll only be compared to King. Maybe I''ll consider once I pass King.'' After reading all that info Lynford got excited and wanted to continue playing but the raid was scheduled to continue tomorrow morning so he instead had to sleep. ~8 hours later~ An alarm sounded but a wide-awake Lynford turned it off. He could barely sleep with his excitement, he wanted to see the new Sicheren Untergang. He quickly ate breakfast then went on a jog to clear his groggy mind. After his jog he did his three S''s then went to his Coma. You could be reading stolen content. Head to the original site for the genuine story.
Log-in procedure initiated
Emperor appeared with a flash of light and immediately posed with a flourish because of his good mood. All this resulted in was everyone staring at him since they were all ready and just waiting for him. Emperor stopped posing and was embarrassed. But he noticed that the length of the dungeon was doing a number on the morale of the raid group. So he decided to make a speech to improve morale. -Everyone give me a moment of your time. It''s come to my attention that morale is low despite beating that giant mosquito recently. You have to realize that now we''re close to the boss at the end so from now on the pace is doubled. Everyone started grumbling and morale seemed to plummet. The opposite of what Emperor intended happened but that was just as planned. -Of course this isn''t for my sake, that''s a large part of it, but it''s for you. Think about it villagers aren''t you getting homesick, don''t you want to save your fellow villagers, and don''t you wish to place me as your lord so I can make Sicheren Untergang into a place you not only live in but a place that you''re proud of? Champions on the other hand don''t you want to level up faster, aren''t you getting bored of the scenery here, and are you curious about the rewards you''ll get at the end? All of this will be fulfilled in due time. But doesn''t that make you excited. Why not now, double your pace and that much sooner these things will come into fruition! At first everyone was skeptical and grumbling. But then people started thinking and couldn''t help getting riled up. His words which seemed common and nothing special resonated deep with their desires. Soon some of them were cheering while others still grumbled but were visibly happier.
Charisma, Leadership, and Elegant stat +1
''Appealing to their desires rather than their emotions. Simple but works wonders after several days and compiled mental stress.'' After that they continued into the tunnels faster than before. There was nothing left of the giant mosquito guarding the passageway as it had been completely looted. This passage was much larger and rounded than the other ones plus didn''t have as many mosquitos. The raid group took it as a sign that they were thinning out the numbers quite well or it''s a result of the quest with the blood mounds. Eventually it opened up to quite the unique chamber. Unlike the previous chamber it was well lit with not only bloodstones but another type of glowing yellow stone. But they were far out of reach so there wasn''t much hope of identifying them. The red and yellow glowing competed with each other creating blending colors of orange, red, and yellow making the room have a fiery aura. Craters covered the ground everywhere the eye could see except on the walls and ceiling. There were mosquitos but they lingered near the roof but some of them lowered themselves into the craters revealing something important. The craters added to the atmosphere by looking like they were caused by meteors. -People... There''s people in those craters! Let''s go rescue them. The others agreed and they rushed down into the cavern. The craters were very steep so they all stopped at the edge of the first one except Emperor who could easily get back out with a charge since it was sloped. He went down and found horizontal spikes pinning down a few people in fetal position. Hearing someone come down into the crater rather than the usual telltale buzzing the people looked up. They showed immense relief but didn''t say anything. ''How to break these without harming them? Crush isn''t an option as it''ll push the spikes down. Impale will take forever. They''re too low to effectively charge. Guess I''ll wing it and see if my strength stat is high enough to break or bend them by lifting them up.'' Emperor took a hold of one of the spikes then began lifting with all his strength. After a few tries he felt something strange as he lifted. He was frustrated but all of a sudden his strength increased and he managed to break one of the three spikes.
New skill gained: Bestial Strength
-check skill: Bestial Strength
Skill: Bestial Strength Rarity: Legendary Level: 1 Call upon the strength of the beast within. While some people insist there''s a large difference between man and beast, the difference is actually very little. Let out your true strength, remove your limiters, and do what needs to be done. Benefits: Strength X 1.5 for 5 seconds Disadvantages: Lose stamina quicker
''A well balanced skill, perfect for the job too.'' Emperor quickly broke the other two spikes and freed the three captured villagers. They thanked him but looked daunted by the slope before them. Emperor in response picked them up and then shouted. -Minotaur''s Charge Emperor ran up the slope of the crater and easily came out of it even with three people in his arms. He put them down and the others started to care for them while he dived into the next crater. In there he found something unique. A strange goat-like creature was restrained by 6 separate spikes and was irritably bashing around. The spike closest to its head was covered in cracks. -Ah so you''re one of the satyrs that Khan mentioned. The satyr responded "Yes indeed human, may I inquire upon your relationship with Khan? Or can we skip that and you free me?" -How about both, my name is Emperor. I''m a fellow leader acknowledged by Khan. Bestial Strength. He asked me to help him rescue his cousins and fellow tribesmen after he escaped. Unfortunately he was recaptured so all the responsibility falls upon me. Bestial Strength. My own followers have also been captured so I must ask you to help me free all those captured. Bestial Strength. Of course I hope that afterwards you''ll help me take care of the source of all this, the yellow one, so this won''t happen again. Bestial Strength. While Emperor was breaking the spikes the satyr thought ''Great another freak just like Khan, at least he''s rescuing me.'' After Emperor broke the fourth spike the satyr interrupted "Okay I can handle it from here. By the way the name is Cliff." Cliff casually lifted his freed lower body and breathed out all the air in his body. Then he quickly breathed in a bunch of air while kicking his lower body down and flexing his muscles. The result is that he broke both remaining spikes at once and launched into the air slightly. Cliff then casually climbed up the crater with practiced ease. Of course he was half-human and half-goat so climbing things was no problem which explained the extra spikes. Emperor soon followed behind with a charge. But when he reached the top he saw another giant mosquito flying towards them. Emperor looked over to the raid group and saw them panicking so he shouted to get their attention. -CLIFFHANGER
The cliffhanger returns with a vengeance. I was going to go for a boss battle but then I realized they struggled too much against the mini-boss and would lose plus whatever happened to the captured people and half-humans. So it turned out this way, oh well I''m making the chapters longer so the next chapter should have the boss battle. By the way the new updates make it impossible to adjust things via mobile so drafts of the next chapter will be less likely in discussion from now on. Also due to that it took awhile adjusting early chapters because the coding changed and ****ed up all the windows and links. Next chapter: http://www.royalroadl.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=5153 Chapter 27: The Battle of Cratered Earth Emperor climbed out of the crater using Minotaur''s Charge. When he reached the top he saw everyone looking behind him and panicking. Looking behind Emperor noticed a giant mosquito coming onto him fast. Emperor thought to himself then yelled. ''Nothing like a little bit of a challenge as a warm up for the boss.'' -Everyone get ready for battle!
Leadership restored order in the raid group.
''So this is what makes leadership important for being a commander.'' Emperor backed away from the giant mosquito as it closed in. He didn''t want to get hit by it''s legs or mouth while it''s over the crater still. If it was above level ground he and his allies could retaliate more effectively. The mosquito noticed what he was doing and sidled over another crater that was closer to him. The craters were like a minefield in this tense pre-battle. Soon enough a barrage of mid-sized blood iron spikes slammed into the side of the mosquito. The mosquito got angry and turned its attention to the raid group and ambled towards them. The 20 remaining champions that tagged along with the group charged at the mosquito. They remembered in the last battle how the mosquito struggled to kill the people closest to it while the mosquito easily killed enemies that were at a distance. They were hoping to catch it off guard but once again it went over a crater foiling their plans. It stabbed out with its mouth instantly killing one of the champions. Then it turned its attention back to the villagers and blood sorcerers. Some of them fled out of fear while most stood their ground due to Emperor''s leadership stat being high for his level. The blood sorcerers let fly a bunch a small to mid-sized blood iron spikes at the giant mosquito. It simply shrugged off the attacks and came closer. It swept its leg knocking over several of the villagers, injuring a few and even killing 2 of them. Then stabbed its mouth through one of the blood sorcerers. Once again a barrage of blood spikes hit the mosquito. The mosquito flinched allowing the villagers to pick themselves up. They immediately charged at the mosquito and began attacking its legs. The mosquito recovered and started to sweep its leg again but another barrage of blood spikes hit it. The blood sorcerers knew that high quality blood was a drop of the mosquito so they were drinking them constantly and spamming weak attacks to distract the mosquito. The mosquito hesitated then raised its mouth to kill another blood sorcerer but the attacks on its legs started to add up with the champions joining with the villagers. The mosquito backed up across a crater and then started to ready its mouth to start picking them off from a distance. It stopped when it heard a strange sound reverberate behind it.
Skill use successful
A laugh was heard across the crater from Emperor. The mosquito turned around to see Emperor quite close to it. -Minotaur''s Charge Emperor ran towards the mosquito while laughing. The mosquito decided to ignore Emperor and turned around to attack the raid group. This was because the blood sorcerers were still barraging it and agro''d it as a result. Also the laugh had the affect of making the mosquito not take him seriously. Emperor jumped as soon as he reached the edge of the crater. This crater happened to be smaller than the rest so Emperor camped near it for an opportunity to attack. He hit the back of the giant mosquito and pushed it forward.
Critical hit Status inflicted: Flinch
Emperor recovered from his jump attack and found himself on top of the mosquito. With its status affect it wasn''t moving from its spot but was still hovering mid-air. He took this opportunity to jump into the air. -Crush! The skill increased Emperor''s weight as he fell back onto the head of the mosquito. The mosquito sprawled its legs from its flinching status and a sudden and heavy impact on it. The crater seemed to swallow both of them as the mosquito couldn''t keep airborne and fell to the center of the crater. It rolled down the slope flinging Emperor off its back and came to a stop right where the prisoners of the spikes once were. The champions and villagers at the top of the crater didn''t hesitate and jumped down following them. Some of them kept their balance and ran shakily down the slope, most tripped and did cartwheels and rolling logs down the slope painfully, two of them just slid down using gauntlets to slow their descent like in the game: The Prince of Persia, one just ran and jumped skipping the slope but got injured from the fall. Alongside Emperor they picked themselves up and began ganging up on the fallen mosquito. They aimed for its wings so it wouldn''t regain the skies and stood on top of it to restrain its movement. The blood sorcerers watched from the edge of the crater unable to do anything in fear of friendly fire. Anticlimactically the mosquito died a dog''s death, unable to fight back in its last moments.

As it died in a burst of gray smoke it left behind gory remains alongside valuable loot. Another mouth-like straw was dropped so Emperor picked it up and put it in his physics defying bag. He then pocketed some of the blood packs to bring up to the blood sorcerers. He then noticed that he was the only one able to leave the craters while the rest were stuck down there. ''No other way but to carry them. It would help if Cliff was here but he ran off somewhere during the fight.'' -Everyone down here pick up all the loot you can for now and I''ll carry you all up...- There was two of the champions casually climbing back up the crater. They were the same ones that used their gauntlets to go down with no complications. They looked back and smiled while looking down on them. -If you could do that why didn''t you help me free people?! One of them replied "This is a skill called ''Roughing it'' which allows us to do special actions with the right tools. But it requires a lot of stat points in the stats: Dexterity and Adaptability. So we''re too weak to help you free people or carry those schmucks out of the hole." ''A useful skill but well balanced too with the requirements. My skills tend to rely on default stats like strength and endurance. But they are hard to use and completely useless at times.'' -Whatever, everyone when you''re ready line up so I can carry you out. Soon enough he started carrying people up over his shoulder. But one person refused to be carried that way. "You''re not going to carry me like a ragdoll, is there a more comfortable way to carry us?" random female villager -Yeah I can carry you in front, princess carry style (laden with sarcasm). "Sure that sounds good to me." random female villager This book''s true home is on another platform. Check it out there for the real experience. Emperor carried her up with another Minotaur''s Charge then slid back down. The next person was a champion and he had the same complaint. -Fine, I''ll carry you the same way "No that''s just gay any way you put it" random male champion -*Sigh*Then how should I carry you? "A fireman''s carry will do." random male champion -How is carrying you that way any more comfortable than simply over the shoulder?! Scratch that I don''t care anymore. Emperor carried the rest up over the shoulder without caring about their own preferences. Including the champion that wanted to be carried fireman style. At the top they redistributed the loot between themselves. The chitin spread about indiscriminately. Emperor was resting on the ground from fatigue, mainly from carrying all those people especially Schmied who was very heavy. Everyone passed the blood drops to the remaining blood sorcerers. Emperor then set off to free the remaining people stuck in the craters. ~several hours later~ Emperor painstakingly freed everyone from the craters. While doing so he introduced himself to the new villagers and even earned a few extra elegant stats from his greetings. Some of the freed villagers glared at his greetings and personality due to the elegant stat''s drawback. They encountered several craters that were empty with broken spikes. Since there was more spikes in these craters it was assumed that they once held demi-humans like Cliff and Khan but were freed. But whether this was due to Cliff or their own monstrous strength was yet to be seen.

''So our forces now number 278 total in this raid group alongside a bunch of demi-humans that may help us later. They could already be challenging the boss now.'' -Let''s hurry ahead They all steeled themselves and entered the final tunnel in Sangre Caverns. This cavern was especially large compared to the others. This one had several side branching tunnels near the roof presumably leading to the other chambers. In other words shortcuts for the mosquitos. The amount of yellow bloodstones increased in number including one on the ground. Stagola immediately identified the mysterious rock and shared it with everyone.
Item: Gold Bloodstone Rarity: Legendary Normal bloodstones found in the Sangre Caverns contaminated by the bodily fluids of the boss of Sangre Caverns. The contamination gives it a yellowish color. More valuable due to the dark magic within it being stronger than a normal bloodstone.
Stagola then tossed the gold bloodstone away. With the description he couldn''t bring himself to keep it. But one of the other champions ran and pocketed it, not caring at all what the description implied. Soon enough they entered a base camp full of demi-humans. Satyrs and Minotaurs freely walked about within the camp roughly 50 of each type. The champions and villagers were in awe of all the demi-humans and their looks. Most didn''t get a good look at Cliff nor fought with Khan. But even the few that did were looking around excitably. Emperor and Stagola simply smiled at the sight. Soon a demi-human sitting on a makeshift throne spoke out. "Nice of you guys to join the party, today we''re going to kill the yellow b*stard." said Khan
Chapter got delayed for several reasons: 1. Writer''s block, had trouble thinking of what to write 2. Surgery, got all ready but ended up being delayed 3. Work, deadlines were coming 4. Other hobbies: I''m a gamer, reader, etc. 5 Holidays: preparations for Thanksgiving and Christmas 6. Birthday: birthday parties are everywhere since people get frisky on Valentines Day 7. Mobile: normally I''d do small drafts when I think of things so I don''t forget via mobile devices but RoyalRoadl hasn''t fixed all their bugs yet 8. Free games: really fun games over Xbox live come out every 2 weeks and this one was especially good: Red Faction Guerrilla 9. Rewriting: I scrapped a few ideas during chapters because they didn''t fit well 10. Human Error: Once again lost the chapter due to computer crash but it was only 2 paragraphs so it wasn''t big of a deal Some clarifications: 1. People thought the 200 mysterious residents of the village were the demi-humans but no it was hinted before that they were simply kidnapped normal villagers. 2. The blood sorcerers have people from the villagers and champions so I tend to refer to them as a separate group. NPC''s and players react to things differently so I feel the need to differentiate between them. 3. Legendary sounds impressive but this game is sadistic, it''s actually quite low in the rarity rankings. One of a kind of course means unranked, the best and the worst, like an Ace card in Blackjack. 4. Blood packs, think of something like gory blood filled sacks rather than the things at the blood bank. 5. The monsters disappear into grey smoke for the setting without mature turned on. This is still present with mature to show something is dead but the loot is more realistic and gory. Someone without mature turned on would see the blood packs like a red potion maybe with a unique design to hint that its not a health potion. So mature is sorta like a skin pack for the game. Graphic novel: You''ve probably noticed in the chapter list I have a chapter named art contest and comic. The comic itself is currently on hiatus since I haven''t found the time to draw any chapters. If I somehow reach the top 5 and get selected for the comic adaptation I''ll simply release chapters with crappy art(since I''m bad with drawing people, much like ONE) and have the person redraw them with better art. But that''s unlikely so I''ll just try to find time to make a few chapters, trust me this FF expresses only 20% of what I could express with a comic. thinking about combining some of the older chapters into Volume 1, then after making the boss battle compacting all this into Volume 2. What do you guys think? Chapter 28: Khan, Queen, and King Emperor and Stagola smiled at the sight of Khan. Some of the villagers also recognised them but most of them looked at Khan confused. -Khan I haven''t seen you since we fought the boss together. What happened to you? "I ended up getting captured and locked in place by spikes while Mosquitos sucked my blood. Last time I was in such a situation I had the free space to kill the mosquitos and save my energy to eventually escape. This time I was unable to but my cousin Cliff rescued me from my binds" said Khan in an unusually reserved speech(think narcissistic just like the MC) When mentioned Cliff walked out from behind Khan''s throne. He wore an innocent look as though he did nothing wrong. "How was the battle?"-Cliff "Just delightful" responded Stagola sarcastically "Personal conversations may be held later. More important comes the talks about the upcoming attack." Interjected Khan -Yes that''s right, we''ve already fought it before and lost horribly. But now our numbers are much greater- "We must formulate a plan that uses our strength to the maximum. Me and my tribesmen will charge in after you guys send in a wave of fod-" interrupted Khan "Just saying I got a healing spell and I''m very fast so no fighting for me. I might heal those that need it if I feel like-"-Stagola -Stop that, in my group we have offensive magic users. So they''ll take up the rearguard. Khan you and your tribesmen should be the vanguard while the remaining villagers suppo- "All this interrupting is p*ssing me off. I''m the one leading this battle so I get to talk fir-"-Khan "I don''t know about you guys but I''m climbing up the wall to hi- err survey the battle. I''ll bring in periodic reports during the battle to help coordinate things"-Cliff "That sounds really good, can you carry me? I need some good shots of the battle and my services won''t be needed until later on."-Stagola "Fine by me."-Cliff -This isn''t working at all, our groups have no experience working together. Why don''t we all just do our own thing and cooperate when we see the opportunity? "Good plan, Emperor you''re the tactician for this battle. I shall lead the battle in the front."-Khan -Who made you the leader, obviously I''m going to lead this battle. "I''ve already fought this boss twice beforehand, I''m more experienced than you."-Khan -Failed both times and you''re using my strategy this time. That''s the same as putting me in charge. "I''m the leader of the Demi-human plains tribes and the future owner of these caverns. I''m far more qualified than an honorary leader of a village."-Khan ''Game logic, he somehow knows I''m an honorary lord rather than a full fledged one. He got so much more prideful and pretends to be smart amongst his fellow Demi-humans. Arguing with this numbskull isn''t getting anywhere.'' Thought Emperor -The future owner of these caves is me, and my followers already acknowledge me as their full lord. I simply have not formally accepted the position yet. Rather than scrabbling over who''s better why don''t we settle this- A window pops up in front of Emperor but he quickly swipes it out of the way since he was talking.
A civil war has erupted in the Village of Sicheren Untergang
-With a contest. Whoever deals the final blow to the boss gets ownership of the Sangre Caverns. Plus the loser must acknowledge the winner as the better man. Khan barely understood what Emperor was saying. But he understood the last part was a contest. The swiping motion Emperor made midway through was interpreted like a slapping motion. This was a gesture of challenging to a duel. He didn''t use a glove nor did he directly slap Khan but nevertheless he felt his pride at stake. *Growl* "I accept your challenge. Make sure to go through with it, try not to die during the battle."-Khan ~10 minutes later~ "Where''s the hot Demi-human females?! This feels like a furries convention!"-random champion Both groups finished their preparations to fight the boss. They entered the next chamber in a disorganised mess. Some barging to the front to view the boss. Others creeping to the back to increase their chances of survival. The chamber was much smaller than the other chambers but was still quite spacious. The boss was laying eggs in the far corner of the chamber. Several smaller Mosquitos carried the laid eggs elsewhere. "It appears the boss is female, tis the queen beast"-random champion "No sh*t Sherlock, get back in line role player"-Stagola The raid group spread and out and approached the queen mosquito. For some reason they went slowly either to not disturb it or out of tension. Though it''s hard not to notice 400 people heading towards you. The queen stopped laying eggs and casually lifted up its legs. It scraped them together like before. A screeching noise echoed throughout the chamber. The chamber unlike the tunnels echoed which amplified it''s effects.
Debuff: Deafness, flinching, and disorientation.
''Not this thing again! Woah this time I can see more than one boss and everything is spinning.'' Thought Emperor
Recovered from debuff: flinching
He looked around and noticed Stagola using a healing skill on some other people. He ambled over towards him. Stagola was currently healing the blood sorcerers so they could use their spells. Noticing Emperor he came over and used his skill.
Health and stamina fully restored. All debuffs removed.
Emperor''s hearing came back with the roaring sound of battle. Some people already recovering from the effects of flinching started roaring at the top of their lungs. He looked over to see the Demi-humans already battling the queen. ''They must be immune to flinching. But why is Stagola healing? I thought deafness sealed magic in games like this.'' Thought Emperor "Good thing that title you gave me made me immune to deafness. Now run along to the battle while I go heal everybody. I''ve got to get this finished and get some high quality POVs for the next video with Cliff."-Stagola ''What title? Whatever I''ve got a bug to squash.'' Thought Emperor Emperor started laughing at his own bad pun.
Skill use successful Skill failed due to deafness Skill use successful Skill failed due to distance...
-Minotaur''s Charge Emperor charged headfirst into the fray over by the queen. The queen had already killed several Demi-humans. It''s movements were identical to the giant mosquito''s but slower due to its size. But the hits had more weight behind them and did more damage. The Demi-humans were dishing out damage as well. The Satyrs were jumping onto its limbs and were trying to climb to its back. While the Minotaurs consistently hit its legs. Most of the Satyrs were shaken off by the queen''s movements but a few were wreaking havoc on its back. If you spot this narrative on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation. Emperor like the Minotaurs charged in and hit one of the queen''s legs. But the leg simply got pushed backwards and didn''t do much damage. The boss purposely left its limbs loose to reduce damage while only putting tension in them while attacking. Emperor decided it would be better just to join the Satyrs on its head. He grabbed onto one of the legs intending to shimmy up it. But the queen feeling the weight put tension into the leg. Feeling this Emperor decided to stand his ground to restrict the queen''s movements. -Crush Emperor used the skill to increase his weight and gripped the leg tightly. He looked up to see the Satyrs on top of the queen surrounded by smaller Mosquitos. Emperor smiled and tugged the leg. The queen lowered in altitude giving the Satyrs breathing room. Then Emperor felt the entire leg in his arms tighten up. -Someone charge this leg, it''s vulner- The queen regained its normal altitude and flung its leg along with Emperor up into the air. Emperor was forced to let go of the leg. Soon he hit the ceiling of the chamber harshly.
Debuff: flinching
Emperor lost half of his health and got a debuff then began falling headfirst. He saw himself fall towards the queen so he tried activating crush once again. This failed due to his debuff. He landed on the back of the queen without damaging it at all. While he took some light damage.
Recovered from debuff: flinching
Emperor stood back up to the sight of 3 tired Satyrs surrounded by Mosquitos. The Mosquitos were normal sized but in great enough number to wear the Satyrs down. Emperor in response to this sight started laughing.
Skill use successful
The tired Satyrs reacted like water was splashed on them. They took up their fighting stances and became alert. The Mosquitos on the other hand got aggroed. The queen shook its body in response while the smaller Mosquitos surrounded Emperor. Emperor was unbalanced and outnumbered. -Berserk Without bothering to fix his stance Emperor began lashing out in all directions. He reacted by pure instinct to the Mosquitos. One of the Mosquitos stabbed him with its mouth so he used his elbow to break its mouth. Another one wrapped its body around his so he head butted it, ripped its mouth out then started stabbing other Mosquitos with it. -Impale All the while, he was laughing and enjoying the situation to the bottom of his heart. Situations like this made him temporarily forget his goals. Soon enough a blood iron spike hit the queen''s head. *Clang!* The shrapnel from it hit Emperor''s armour and the Mosquitos surrounding him. He saw glimpses of the Satyrs through the horde of Mosquitos. Their numbers increased to five. Three were hitting the aggroed Mosquitos. While two were hacking away at the queen''s wings. But the queen shook often making it hard to consistently attack solid hits. ''Good thing we have the Minotaurs hitting the legs or it might''ve used that sound attack again.'' Thought Emperor momentarily *Aaaaah!* A strange scream was heard. Emperor spotted one of the champions with the "roughing it" skill falling from the sky. He landed on top of a mosquito. He let out another shout this time in joy. Then he promptly stabbed the mosquito in the neck and ripped its head off. ''"Roughing it" has a surprising array of uses it seems'' thought Emperor in this pause in battle. The Mosquitos got aggroed by the new champion. This gave Emperor a chance to appreciate the view on top of the queen. Before him was a disorganised army working together. It was botchy but effective. The bloodstones illuminating the cavern made everything feel like it was on fire. Emperor wandered over to the queen''s wing. Meanwhile the champion hopped off the queen while being chased by a horde of Mosquitos. Emperor gripped onto the base of the wing in an awkward position. He hopped up a little bit and called out. -Crush
Debuff inflicted: bone break
His weight and force bent the queen'' swing at an angle. The boss then tilted to the side and lost altitude. Emperor gripped on tightly to the wing. The Satyrs on the other hand fell off in shock. The queen collapsed in a heap on the ground. Emperor was cushioned by the broken wing then stood up triumphantly. His pose and achievement was ignored as everyone rushed in to gang up on the weakened boss. ''They''re like vultures, they don''t care how it got there just that it''s there.'' Thought Emperor Emperor waited for a little while until the mosquito seemed almost dead. Then he walked over to its head. -Heavy Punch He finished off the queen quickly. Just like the alpha wolf, its head exploded. He laughed in pure joy while a waterfall of chitin and blood washed over him. Khan glared at him full of envy and hatred. "You d*mn cheater, you waited until it was pretty much dead to attack!"-Khan -Doesn''t matter the contest was whoever gets in the last hit. Besides I think I deserved it after spectacularly putting it in that weakened state. Khan grumbled but didn''t say anything more. Meanwhile Emperor began reading a stack of windows

''So many amazing new things that I totally deserve with all that effort. Now I own a dungeon, a city within it, and soon a nearby village will also be mine!'' Thought Emperor Emperor began laughing once again. Then Stagola walked up to him. "I found a strange small tunnel at the end of the chamber. Might want to check that out."-Stagola ''Could this get any better?'' Thought Emperor

''F*ck'' thought Cliffhanger
Here''s the boss battle you''ve been waiting for. An argument between 2 egotists and 2 selfish bast*rds too as a bonus.
