 Life 0.Prologue

    It was quite rare to have such a sunny day during the rainy season.


    Tenryuu Taiga, while enjoying this early summer morning, looked up to the Sun and mutters:


    ¡°Oh? Sunspots? So the Sun really is entering a glacial period?¡±


    His philosophy was "The heavens did not create man above me" and seems to like global warming to global cooling.


    Since Taiga has given a vacation from military, he was wondering if he should lay facing the river while having his flashes of contemplation. But to the eyes of others, this was a very shameful act. If someone he knew saw him in this state, he¡¯ll soon be a laughing stock.


    ¡°Ahhh I wonder if there¡¯s anything interesting¡­..¡±


    Taiga heard some noise from the other side. A group of delinquents, wearing long coats with the words ¡°Fighting Spirit¡± written on them, were being boisterous and in the middle, the delinquents were surrounding a crying boy and forcing him to bow to them in an apologetic manner.


    ¡°Oii Oii, this isn¡¯t good. The kid¡¯s really crying! That¡¯s gross; why not just throw it in the river to wash him up?¡±


    ¡°Heh, since we¡¯re gonna wash him up, better strip him first then!¡±


    ¡°Eeeeekkk¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­!¡±


    The boy was trembling with so much fear that he literally curled into a ball. Tenryuu Taiga then slowly stood up and directed his gaze towards the group of delinquents who were now kicking and punching the young man.


    ¡°Ahhh¡­bored¡­I¡¯m SO BORED I WANT TO EXPLODE! IF I SELL MY BOREDOM! I CAN AMASS A SMALL FORTUNE! HEY YOU BRAINLESS MORONS! HOW¡¯S THIS? YOU¡¯LL GIVE ME SOME ENTERTAINMENT AND I¡¯LL GIVE YOU ALL A LONG TERM TRIP TO THE HOSPITAL AS MY GIFT!?¡±


    ¡°Oi! Strip faster and jump in the water will ya?!¡±


    ¡°Tie up his hands as well! So long as he can move his feet, he¡¯s not going to drown!¡±


    It was expected that none of the delinquents would respond back to Taiga because the latter wasn¡¯t shouting and was merely expressing in a volume that only someone near him could hear.


    So obviously, none of Taiga¡¯s words were heard and whatever Taiga said were just sent directly to the wind. By now, the young man was being beaten up and his face was full of mud, tears and snot. Very unsightly too look at.


    ¡°¡­¡­¡­¡­..¡±


    Taiga silently stood up.


    He picked up two or three stones near him and threw them while screaming.


    ¡°LET ME JOIN YOU GUYSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!¡±


    The entire shore exploded once the rock hits the ground. This wasn''t a metaphor, there¡¯s no need for correction.


    Exactly as described, the stone was flying with an absurdly high speed of the Third Cosmic Velocity[1], and with a loud roar and a huge cloud of dust blew away the delinquents, the boy and the riverside alike.


    ¡°Waaaaaaa!!!¡±


    ¡°It¡¯s¡­.It¡¯s Tenryuu Taiga! Everyone run!¡±


    ¡°Hel¡­Help me¡­.¡±


    ¡°Hey! I¡¯m going to throw another!¡±


    While Taiga smiles refreshingly, every time he threw another rock, it created a small crater. The scene would be akin to that of an airdrop. Faced with such an overwhelming adversary, both the bullies and the bullied were running away in fear.

    Tenryuu Taiga was hugging his stomach and laughing at the terrified men who were running away from him. He was laughing and rolling or slamming his fist to the ground.


    Soon, the area was only filled with Taiga¡¯s laughter and once Taiga stopped, the area immediately went silent.


    Soon, the silence enveloped the river and there was no human movement at all. By now, girls of Taiga¡¯s age should be having their lunch break as Taiga stood there, silent.


    ¡°¡­..This is really boring!¡±


    Finally, Taiga uttered out his true feelings.


    Even though the reactions of the delinquents and the bullied young man were amusingly ironic, it was not that interesting.


    ".....Hm?"

    "Who are you?" asked the girl disappointed. She was examining Taiga''s face.


    She seemed to be close to Taiga''s age. Underneath a black cloak, she wore a white blouse,a gray pleated short skirt and knee socks. She knelt down and looked, shocked, at his face.


    Her face is... cute. Reddish-brown eyes danced upon the stage of her flawless, white skin and strawberry blonde hair. her body proportions were very balanced with those twin mountains on her chest. She looks kind of like a foreigner. In fact, the girl must have been a foreigner. Maybe she¡¯s half-Japanese?


    Still, that''s some kind of weird school uniform she''s wearing isn¡¯t it? I don''t recognize it.


    ¡°Before you ask someone name,you should introduce your name first¡±


    I said it while stares intently at her


    ¡°I¡¯m Selene Bael from The Great King Bael Family ¡± she said proudly


    ¡°hoho..I¡¯m Tenryuu Taiga..nice to meet you selene-chan¡±


    ¡°wha?? don¡¯t call my name casually you commoner and don¡¯t add ¨Cchan for my name..hhmm¡±


    Hehe it seems she have an ojou personality,let me play with you a little


    ¡°so where am I Ojou-chan?¡±


    Grrr this guy..calm down selene,don¡¯t be provoked by him


    ¡° ehem..ehem..Welcome to the world of Kingdom Hearts.I summoned you to grant you the privilege to become my familiar to take part in the Rating Games, in which only those the King and the familiar that could participate."


    "Rating Games?"


    "yes! You probably still not noticed, but this world is different from your original world. In this world strength is everything,the one who become the stronger can take anything from the loser.If you strong then you¡¯ll be the winner.Rating Games are events for those who have strength to compete with each other. And lastly, Kingdom Hearts is a world, that was solely for someone who have power strong enough to live in." said selene with a gaze full of sorrow


    so she want to make me interested about the appeal of Kingdom Hearts,but what with that sadness..maybe something happen before I came here..but before that,


    ¡°I want to ask you some question¡±


    "...What question would it be? About the world?About the rules? Or About the game itself?"


    " nahh..of course I want to ask you a detail about the purpose of me summoned here but that doesn¡¯t matter for now. And I couldn¡¯t care less about the game itself. Even if I make you recite all the rules, nothing would change. It¡¯s a revolutionary¡¯s job to change the rules of the world, not a player¡¯s. The only thing I want to ask you¡­ is about this world."


    Taiga took his eyes off of selene, ran his eyes over the city behind this ruin.He only asked one thing with a glance that looked down on everything.


    "Is this world.... fun?"


    "...."


    The most important question right now for him was whether or not there is a fitting compensation for his summoned here.


    "....OF COURSE! Rating Game is a devil¡¯s game for those who transcended the limits of humanity. The world of Kingdom Hearts is much more fun than other worlds, I personally guarantee it!"

    ¡°So can you explain to me in detail,how do you summoned me? why do you summoned me? And what your really purpose for entering Rating Game ?¡±


    I ask her while slurping a tea in her ¡°house¡±, ahh so solemn ,ohh yeah for your information this place is not like the usual house,it was a small room in the basement,with one bed,a wardrobe,a sofa and table only fit for two people,in other words this is really feels like a emergency house when there is a disaster, poor girl


    ¡°ehem..before I answer you question,can you make a contract with me first?¡±


    On the surface Selene''s expression did not change, but inside she felt intense turmoil.


    And that was because Taiga''s question was exactly about what she tried to hide


    ¡°why? are you afraid of something..something that you hide from me?"

    Selene cleared her throat. She was doing this mainly out of desperation.


    "Firstly, Just like you said my Family has been degrades because some event. Therefore when someone meet me as a sole survivor from Bael Family, they refer to me as a Traitor."


    "Hee ... Rough treatment, huh? Then?"


    "Furthermore, our rank that represents the pride of my Family has been revoked. This Rank also fills the important role of indicating the Rank in the Devil Society."


    "Hmm. Then?"


    "Beside that,I don''t have any member right now. To put it more bluntly, entire of my family has been annihilated or prisoned by a our government and I¡¯m the only survivor who can get my Family¡¯s glory back!"

    This wasn''t a figure of speech either. Selene''s Family was accused over something that they didn¡¯t do and robbed of its status, prestige and even all its family. All that remained was ruined vacant land and herself. However Taiga did not show any signs of sympathy, he only reshuffled his legs while sitting.


    ¡°And what happen next?¡±


    ¡°Yes,just like I said our family did not falter even has been accused by them,so one night our family attacked by them with an assistance a Evil God..my parent¡¯s trying to defend but the enemy is too powerful so they made decision to hide me in the safe room and fight back..of course it¡¯s a futile resistance,when morning came,I get out from there and see something that I will never forget forever on my life..many of member family has been executed,there is some that captured and my parents¡­beheaded by them..after that My family fell to ruins when I was still a child, I¡¯ve been driven out of my territory, and was branded a traitor; discriminated and persecuted by those around me; I was all alone. Like that, I had neither friends nor family, and I kept fighting the loneliness for my dream which will let me puff up my chest with pride towards my peers.¡±


    ¡° ¡­.¡±
