《The Adventure of the Demon Lord's Daughter》 The prologue Prologue Part 1 Today I opened my eyes and saw what I saw everyday since I became the Demon Lord, war This world is filled with 5 races: Demons, BeastMen, Elves, Humans, Dwarves. The war has been raging on for over 200 years, I became the demon lord after I killed the previous demon lord for his acts against our own kind. Some might say I was over powered considering I killed the previous demon lord just by pointing my finger at him which shot a red and black beam at him which made him turn into ash while destroying the mountain behind his castle. Well once I killed him, the news spread throughout the demon race and I was unwillingly made the Demon Lord. It eventually spread to the other races as well, that the demon lord has been killed and for some odd reason the new demon lord was weak. The news spread that I was weak and the previous demon lord who was considered to be unkillable died. The other races thought of this as an advantage to destroy the demon race altogether since the demons had an advantage comparing to the other races, which was their Abundant amount of mana crystals (Mana Crystals will be explained later on) that could be mined on a certain island of the demon race. The demon race was originally peaceful, contrary to the name. It wasn''t until the previous Demon Lord 200 years ago decided to try to dominate the other races, which caused a chain reaction making all the other races to make a pact and fight together against the demon race for Supremacy. Well enough of the history of this world. _________________________________________________________________________________________________ Prologue Part 2 let me tell you who I was before I became the demon lord. I was a rare type of demon, Instead of a demon with the typical two horns coming out of my head, and a tail, I had neither, Instead I had dark red lines that went throughout my upper body and not only that I could use magic without chanting which was considered impossible by all races. My name is Graves. I was more of a free type of demon, I was an adventurer, I got this title by going to a human city and registered in there adventurer guild, since I looked more like a human than a demon I easily went into the city, and occasionally I got a few looks because of my arms, but most people assumed that It was a tattoo of some sorts. I was a B rank adventurer because I tried making myself not noticeable by conquering dungeons alone and secretly. Dungeons were known for their monsters, traps, and untold riches. Many people become adventurers because, If a group of 6 people conquer a dungeon and get their reward from it, it would set them up for life and have some leftover for a next life. No one knows where dungeon''s came from, we however do know once a dungeon gets conquered it disappears without a trace. After I became a SS rank adventurer I decided to try my luck on a dungeon that was considered unconquerable, and that is where my life had a turning point. While exploring the dungeon I saw a woman fighting a Minotaur. For a bit i was watching because the woman was overpowering the Minotaur, it wasn''t until that 3 other Minotaurs decided to join the fight. In most cases I would of ignored the situation and just went on way, but the woman noticed me and she decided to make it my problem as well by running towards me. Deciding I didn''t want to take too much time with this problem I just shot out 3 beams of black and red lights at the minotaurs, and just like that they turned into ash. Now taking a closer look at the woman she was very beautiful, Straight flowing black hair, with the brightest blue eyes that reminded me of sapphire. After that event she asked me what I was doing there and how I used my magic without chanting, I simply answered that I was here to conquer the dungeon and for my magic, I told her it was a secret. While walking away from her I returned to go on my way, and as I started walking away she continued to follow me. In this dungeon there were a lot of monsters which was one of the reasons that this dungeon was considered Did you know this text is from a different site? Read the official version to support the creator. Unconquerable, but not only the amount of monsters, also the ranks of the monsters. The monsters usually in dungeons are B rank and the occasional boss monsters who are ranked from A to S. The average rank of the monsters in this dungeon were rank A and very frequently a boss monster which was ranked S. As I proceeded throughout the dungeon I reached the final floor of the dungeon and the first thing I saw on this floor a Coliseum type arena and in the center of the arena was a Golem with some kind of runes etched on to it The Golem seemed to be around 30 meters tall. So like I do with any problem I come across I shot out a lazer from my finger and when it hit the Golem it simply bounced off. Now as my lazer bounced off I noticed that the runes had something to do with the golem being able to bounce off my lazer. As I got the full attention from the golem I took out my weapon because I figured if my lazer doesnt work, my other offensive magic wouldn''t work as well. My weapon was a staff, But this staff was something special I had made this staff out of mana crystals which was considered impossible because although you can mine and break mana stones with a certain tool, it was impossible to forge anything or melt it together for that reason mana stones were used as a temporary replacement for mana, mages could take the mana out of mana stones and use them for spells. Also mana stones could be refilled with mana, although the amount of mana a mana stone could hold is depended on how pure quality is. My staff was made of the purest mana stones and I learned I could change the shape of my staff, if i wanted to I could turn my staff into a spear or a sword with a bit of mana. Well after I was charging the golem with my staff, the golem shot out fire from the palm of his hands, but I went straight to the fire and used my staff to absorb the fire. After absorbing the fire my staff turned red and once I reached the golem I used half of my mana to strenghten myself. As the staff made contact with the Golems body, it simply shattered, and right on point as it got destroyed a portal opened up from its destroyed body. As I was about to go through the portal which indicated that the dungeon is completed I remembered about the woman, I asked her who she was and what she was doing in dungeon. She told me that her name is Alumina Tempest and she was the champion of the human race and was here because she heard that the dungeon contained a legendary sword. After that moment in the dungeon we completed many dungeons together and eventually I got around to her and told her I was of the demon race, she took it fairly well, and had her suspicion because of how powerful I was. It was then I had to separate from Alumina because I received news from my home in the country of demons that it was gone. When I came back I thought that my home was gone because of the war, but when I found out the truth that it was destroyed due to my home town not following orders from the demon lord. With my anger that the demon lord destroyed my town for simply not following order I marched into the castle where the demon lord was at and killed anyone who was getting in my way with either magic or my staff which was currently in the shape of a sword. Once I arrived in the throne room of the demon lord. He looked like he was amused because he believed although I was strong that he could still kill me. At that point I just killed him instantly. At that moment I am in my current situation, on the throne of the demon lord, Hatred was all I felt. The anger I felt was all pointed to one direction "war". _________________________________________________________________________________________________ Author''s Note Redid the prologue to make it a little bit longer to give a better context of how the fiction will play out because when I was going over my work it seemed like it was going to be confusing The daughter will be introduced in chapter 1 this isn''t a reincarnation story so I''m starting the daughter at a very young age so I will make it her point of view once she is at a certain age Chapter 1 Chapter 1 Currently while I am on my throne and all I could think of was how to end the war. The war was making me more and more angry due to the fact that because of it I lost my family, and plenty of people who were innocent also lost theirs. It was while I was in deep thought that a group of warriors came into my domain. The group was comprised of 3 people, an elf, dwarf, and a wolfman. They instantly went and tried to kill me, while being calm and dodging everything they had to offer, I simply made 3 balls of mana which would explode on contact, but not kill. As I threw the mana balls, it did as what I intended it to do which was to simply knock them out. Once they were knocked out I quickly tied them up to the chairs inside my throne room. once they became concious I asked," who they were and what do you want". They responded,"We are the champions of our race and wanted to end the war by killing the Demon King". I asked," what about the human races champion?" they responded that the champion of the human race fled and was unable to find a new champion". In my mind I was thinking why did Alumina flee. Now that they failed in killing me I told them my story on how I became the demon king and have no interest in domination or war and told them I would free them as long as they tell the leader of their races to end this war. As I saw them leave I could see the disbelief on their faces that I was letting them go. As I resumed my thinking, the thought of Alumina fleeing from the human race kept interfering. So I made it as about priority to find the reason that she would run away from being a champion of the human race. <3 year later> I finally found a clue about her disappearance. she was spotted near the location of the dungeon she and I first conquered together. The first dungeon she and I conquered together was a dungeon located in forest heavily populated by A rank monsters. One I arrived at the location and spotted where the dungeon entrance use to be located, I saw a small wooden house protected by a small barrier made of mana and around the barrier were dead bodies of the human race. I easily bypassed the barrier and once I got in the house all I saw was a mana stone that had a note on it "To the demon who saved me and showed me the world isn''t just black and white". as I touched the stone a light was emitted from the stone, the mana stone was used as a voice recorder. once it started giving me the message in the voice of Alumina, I had a bad feeling. The message said," If you get this message and that must mean you are the demon who saved me and showed me the joys of the world, I am sad to say this message will only be heard if I am dead, I have one wish from you although you did so much for me, When you left in hurry, 2 weeks after I found out I was pregnant and while pregnant I knew it was yours. I was hesitant because I knew that if the baby took to your race The narrative has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the infringement. and had special features of a demon, it would be killed. So I ran away from my duties as a champion and my race. I still do not regret anything to this day. Once our baby daughter came into this world, I was filled with such joy. She was the best thing that has ever happened to me besides spending the little amount of time with you, in all my life I was trained to become a champion for the human race like a lot of people for the fame and money. My parents were not loving they were looking at me like I was their ticket to the good life and no matter how hard I kept telling myself they loved me I could never believe it. It wasn''t until I met you that there was more to life than training, violence, and war. Our daughter who is now 2 years old, is very talented in magic. She also inherited the red lines that you have on your arms, as well as being able to use magic without chanting. Now since I am gone I have nowhere to leave our daughter at, because my family would throw her away her or lead her to the same life as me, I can only hope you will get this message in time. Knowing I was wanted for fleeing as a champion, I made up a rumour telling people of my whereabouts, hoping that you are looking for me. *pause* Our daughters name is Ruby. As I noticed the message ending I could hear crying. I went to the room where the crying was heard from and I saw a sight that made me filled with depression. It was the sight of my daughter crying over the body of Alumina''s body. The first thing I did was used my magic to put my daughter Ruby to sleep. As she fell asleep. I went to Alumina and I noticed that she was killed noticing a fatal would near the heart and lungs. Now noticing the situation, she had made the barrier after killing the soldiers from the human race and knowing she going to die from the wounds, she used the remaining mana to make a barrier. I felt hatred for the human race, although I didn''t want to start another war I simply controlled my anger and focused on my new daughter. Ruby as i held her close to my chest I teleported back to the land of demons and headed straight to my castle and ordered my most trusted aid to hire maids for my new daughter. __________________________________________________________________________________________________ Author''s Note: So Now the story is going to go on about the childhood of the daughter, and eventually will go to the point of view from her. I really couldn''t come up of a good name of the demon lord because, I have the naming sense of Dr. Seuss. Chapter 2 ReDone Chapter 2 ReDone As I was sitting beside the bed with my newly acquired daughter, she was peacefully sleeping, probaly thinking of her mother. I thought to myself, she did indeed inherit most of her looks from her mother and looked more human than demon, and when I remembered when I looked at her eyes they were a light shade of red, I also had red eyes, but it was a darker shade of red than hers whose shone brightly. As soon as she her eyes opened she said, "Where is mama?" Knowing I had to tell her the truth, it pained me to say, "Your mother is in a better place, and you will now live here with me" "who are you?" She replied with tears that were on the corner of her eyes, "I am your father, and I will be here for you at all times, and love you" She was trying to stay strong and not cry, but at that moment I hugged her, she let it all go and cried until she fell asleep. Knowing I had a lot to prepare for I called for one of the maids I knew a while back, her name was Amaya and she was an experience maid as well as a soldier. Amaya was also one of the few people I knew from childhood as she lived in the next town over, unlike me she looked 100% demon, Amaya was a beauty, she had light blue skin, white hair, black eyes, and a body that would make even elves jealous. When I became the Demon Lord she was a general in the war, and one of the first generals to acknowledge me as the Demon Lord, as for the other generals who thought I was weak, I simply killed them off wasting little time, because I was in a hurry to end the war and didn''t want to prolong the war by fighting demons who opposed me. As I was leaving Ruby''s room I head a shout, "Graves who is that child?" It was Amaya "She is my daughter Ruby, and she will now start living here with me" "Daughter?, When?, and why now?" After I told her the fully story and how I met Ruby''s mother and the event I witnessed when I arrived to where Ruby was at. She looked at me with a face of pity, and was crying. "Amaya please stop crying, your scaring me." "Graves you have it hard *sob* *sob*, I know I''ll be her mother from now on!." "Amaya thanks for the offer, but I rather you to be her caretaker instead of a mother" "Got it Graves, I''ll do just that, and take care of her every needs and make sure she grows up with love and care" "thank you Amaya, I knew I could trust you." As I left Amaya who was peeking through Ruby''s room, I was heading to my throne room to think of the next few steps I had to take for Ruby. For a few weeks Ruby could be heard crying in the middle of the night, and every time she would cry I would hug her until she fell asleep, It was during these moments that I felt I now have a goal I must accomplish at all cost. I spotted ruby in the dining room eating breakfast with Amaya" "Ruby how are you feeling today?" "I''m feeling good papa" said Ruby while smiling. I could feel that their was still a hint of sadness in her smile. "Ruby Do you want to come with papa to see the ocean?" "Papa, Really?, Are we visiting the ocean?" Now her smile was getting better and didn''t look like it was as forced as before. "Yes, We are going to visit a certain island that is known for its beauty." "Amaya can you help Ruby prepare for the trip, while I set the coordinates for the teleporter?" "No problem Graves will be at the teleporter in around 10 minutes" During the first few weeks Ruby opened her heart a little more to me and Amaya, It was these moments I could feel that Ruby is moving on with her life and forgetting the grief she had before. <10 minutes later> The teleporter was a creation I designed myself and I was the only one in the world who had access to it, after conquering dungeons I experimented with the stones dungeons would use after you conquer a dungeon. These stones would teleport you to the entrance of the dungeon, then right after you were teleported the dungeon would vanish into thin air. After I experimented with these stones, I made a break through and eventually figured how to use them more effectively and teleport anywhere I''ve been before. The telepoter in the castle was only known to me, Amaya, and now Ruby, Other than those people it was a complete secret. After we were teleported to the island, I noticed that Amaya was already in her swimwear and Ruby as well. It was quite a peaceful sight to see, In a sandy beach next to a clear blue ocean, you would see a beauty, and a child that was the cutest thing in existance play in the ocean. The island was called Paradise, it was an island I discovered long ago, when I was exploring new places, it was far away from the mainland. The real reason I came to this island however was to mine a certain type of mana stone that couldn''t be found anywhere else. These mana stones glowed red, and could store more mana than anything and was harder than the strongest material that I knew of. My staff was also had bits of this type of mana stone. Today I figured I would use mine these stones and make a necklace for Ruby, Because not only can they store mana, the stored mana could act as a barrier for the user wearing it. As I was crafting the Stone using my magic, This story has been taken without authorization. Report any sightings. after a couple of hours passed I finished crafting the necklace. As I was finished I headed back to where Amaya and Ruby were located, and I could see Ruby holding a black object. "Amaya was is Ruby holding?" "Hmm, I think its an egg." "What egg is that?" "not too sure, but I think Ruby wants to keep it, we shouldn''t be too worried about the parents because it was just sitting there alone." I turn to Ruby who was looking at me with pleading eyes to let her keep the egg. "Ruby you don''t know what animal or monster is within that egg, so we should leave that egg here" "No, papa I want to bring it with us, Amaya said it was abandoned" cried Ruby with eyes filled with determination to keep it. I gave a glare at Amaya who looked away. *sigh* "Ruby I''ll let you keep the egg, but what ever hatches from the egg is going to be your responsibility." Then I walked to her and she put the egg softly on the ground and hugged me, she knew my weakness, as she hugged me, I remembered the necklace I crafted, As soon as I remembered I told Ruby to close her eyes and put her hands out" when I placed the necklace in her hands, she said, "Papa, what is it?" "its a necklace, It for you, this will protect you no matter where you are at." and just like that it was the afternoon and I teleported myself, Amaya, Ruby, and her new egg. <1 year later> Ruby now the age of 3, Looked a lot more happier than from the previous year. As I was in the Dining room eating my breakfast I heard a shout, "Papa!" Rushing to Ruby''s room with a mana ball floating above my right hand, and my staff in my right hand, the first thing I noticed in her room was that, there was no signs of her being in danger and a couple of black pieces on the floor next to her bed where she kept the egg. I did however see a black lizard was on Ruby''s head which I was about to kill , until Amaya stopped me. "Papa, Look! This lizard is what hatched from the egg!" I looked strangely at it, as I was staring at it, it looked oddly familiar. "Graves, I''m not too sure, but I think thats a baby dragon" that is when it hit me, I remember how they looked like. I met a group of dragons when I was traveling the world and remember how they looked like as babies, but I also remembered how protective dragons were with their eggs, which made me more curious why an egg was on the island we were at and no signs of any dragon living there. "I think your right Amaya, that is definitely a baby dragon" "Papa can I keep it?" said Ruby with eyes that were full of expectation. I couldn''t refuse, I''m so weak towards my daughter. "Ruby, you can keep it on one condition, If the dragon is not properly trained and hurts you, I''m going to release back to its kind. <4 years passed> Ruby is now the age of 7 and looks like a young girl. Ruby also kept her promise of properly training the dragon, so I never got to release it, but I was still cautious because dragons are very strong and possessive monsters. Ruby''s Dragon was first named by Ruby as Mr.bunny, Why she first tried to name it that I have no idea, but feeling sad for the dragon, I told her to name it Ebonia. The dragon Ebonia grew a lot in the 4 years, Ebonia was able to fly after a year, and that was when I nearly fainted from shock because, one day I went to Ruby''s room and saw that she jumped out of the window, when I rushed to look outside the window I saw that Ebonia caught her and was flying around the castle. After I saw that, I gave a warning to Ruby to not fly on Ebonia unless you were under the supervision of me or Amaya. Ebonia was almost 5 feet long from head to tail and was pretty lean for a dragon, her scales were jet black, and her eyes were like that of a serpent and shone a bright golden color. Also during the 4 years I started to teach Ruby on how to use her mana, since she followed the same way I used mana, but the magic I taught her were all defensive and healing magic, because offensive magic could harm the user if the user didn''t concentrate enough. Amaya also began acting like an aunt towards Ruby, and got along really well with Ruby. Although the Ruby I see now has grown stronger emotion wise, I could sometimes still hear her cry about her mother in her dreams, and on those days I would hold my daughters hand, until she felt better. __________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Author''s note: Chapter 1 revised too look different took one of the comments I read, and tried the dialogue, this type of writeing is different than what im use to, so I hope it wasn''t too bad. In future chapters I will be trying to describe how the demon kingdom looks like as well as the other ones, I''ll try to be more descriptive as well, and try to focus on character depth.
