《An Interesting Journey》 The beginning ''Life Sucks'' That''s what I though while I was currently travelling in my school bus which is making it way towards Kyoto for this year''s school tour.You might be wondering why I am currently sitting alone in the back seat of the bus thinking only about negative thoughts rather than enjoying my tour like any normal school kid. The reason is simple.Its because I am currently being isolated by all my classmates.So why am I being alienated by my own classmates? Its due to the fact that I ratted out a few classmates to the school principal which resulted in their suspension. Those classmates of mine has played some pranks on our homeroom teacher since she was always strict.Of course it was a simple prank but the teacher didn''t think so since she complained to the principal asking him to find the culprits and dish out severe punishment. And soon the principal also came to our class room and warned the culprits that if they don''t soon come forward the punishment will be more severe.But It was of no use, none of ous wanted to rat out our own classmates, trust me I also didn''t want to If not for that fuckin principal. So next day the principal called me to his room and said. "You know the people involved in that prank, don''t you Sora?" "Ofcourse not, I have no idea sir" "Is that so? You are good at studies and even extra curricular actitvities.You have a bright future ahead of you." "Thank you sir." "But everything would disappear in a split second if your scholarship gets cancelled.Your bright future would be nothing but a distant dream.I guess, you understand what I am implying right?" I was enrolled in this school thanks to the scholarship I had obtained.Due to the scholarship, I don''t have to pay a single yen for my studies as long as I show good results.I was also given a free boarding in the hostel and I was even also allowed to get a part time job so as to support myself due to my unique situation.. But If the scholarship gets scrapped all these benefits would be no more and I would be kicked out of the school since I don''t have enough money for the school fees since my school is one of the top three schools in the city..And I also don''t have any other place to go since my uncle''s family kicked me out after acquiring my parent''s assets right after my parents died. When I was wondering what to do next, one of my father''s friend who took pity on me asked the principal of this school to give the scholarship to me since I had the top grades in my old school. So I felt as if that I can''t lose this scholarship no matter what so therefore I ratted out my classmates.But that stupid principal when announcing the suspension of those classmates he thanked me for pointing out the culprits.So from that day I have been completely isolated by everyone. Two months have passed and still not even a single student has talked to me even in this fuckin school bus every one was ignoring me and enjoying themselves playing various games.Even though at first, I didn''t let it bother me much but now it kinda pisses me off. I mean in a school tour you are supposed to be having fun together with everyone not musing alone in the back.But what choice I did have because everyone ignores me as if I was a friggin ghost so I stopped trying to explain that I had no choice in the matter since it seemed that no one was going to believe my story. So currently I was looking outside the windows, counting the number of cars to relieve my boredom.But suddenly the bus started to vibrate violently and then the driver applied the brakes immediately.And within a moment the scenery outside my window suddenly changed.It looked as if all the cars and building outside were completely disappeared and was replaced with trees and there was also another one of my school bus stopped before us which most probably was the bus which was running in front of us transporting another class. Of course I looked calm but I was kinda freaking out inside due to the event.But I couldn''t say the same for some of my classmates since some of the started to scream hysterically while the rest showed a shocked expression.I guess it should be expected because one moment we were travelling on a highway but suddenly the next moment we were in a fucking forest . ''So lets gather some facts to figure out where we are'' I thought to myself and started to check out the trees since I figured out that it would be easy to form some sort of rough ideas as to which forest is this from the trees present here.After a while I hit a deadend since i could not identify a single tree. It was an unfavourable situation because this meant that only two conclusions could be drawn from the facts I gathered. Of course both the conclusions meant trouble.And so I was racking my brains to figure out a swift solution.The first thing I did was to dial 119 in my cell phone, as I guessed the number didn''t get connected.It seemed that the rest of the people also tried to ask for help using their mobiles but as expected it didn''t work. After some time Hiro said. "Its no use trying to stay inside. Lets try and find our way back to the main road, I mean its dangerous to stay here " Suddenly everybody agreed, including the teachers.It seemed to me that for them being confined in the bus is kinda scary, therefore they accepted his proposal. "Guys, soon the night is gonna fall, so its kind of a bad idea to go out there without fully understanding about this forest.Why don''t we go in the morning?". But shockingly they ignored me.I was stumped by their behaviour,I mean how could they ignore me even in this dangerous situation. Then along with the people from the bus in front of us, they all started to leave while taking everything they needed for their travel and left me completely alone in the damned forest.

Chapter 1- A different world?? ''This is so fucked up'' I couldn''t believe that everyone just like that not even the teacher asked him to follow.Then I remembered that after that incident even the attitude of the teachers changed except my home room teacher but that too ended shortly after she transferred to another class. The thing is I could somewhat understand the actions of my classmates but I never did find out the reason why the teachers were ignoring me.I could only guess that the my classmates kinda fed the teachers with some sort of false information regarding me. So I was currently alone in the bus which is surrounded by the huge forest.I would be lying if i didn''t find this situation scary.I mean after all somehow I have been mysteriously brought here along with every one and worse now i have been completely abandoned by every one .Even now I could not figure out how we had ended up here no matter how much I think, And since I was feeling sleepy, I lied down on the seats and started to sleep.I hoped that if they find some help they would at least have the basic courtesy to come find me here. When I woke up, It seemed to me that it was already morning due to the bright light.And there were no signs of people, its either that they didn''t find help or they have abandoned me here for good. Sincerely hoping that it was not the second reason, I climbed down the stairs of the bus.Then I started to observe my surroundings not missing any minute details. And then I figured that they didn''t abandon me, how you ask, its because one of my conclusions was correct.Because it looks like I am in a different world since an island was floating in the distant sky. ''A floating island huh,I wonder what''s over there '' To satisfy my curiosity, I decided that I would head over there.Of course it was not the only reason since there was a possibility that I could meet somebody over there who could shed some light on my current situation. With that I started to pick some important things which would prove useful during my journey.In the end I picked only some food items, a few bottles of water and a knife which someone brought to cut fruits. I packed very light since I figured it would be easy for me to move faster with less weight.Thus I started my journey towards the floating island. I was walking slowly along the forest observing everything.The reason for this is because I still don''t know much about the forest or this place, so there is a possibility that wild animals may inhabit this place.I mean what would I do if suddenly a lion or a tiger started to chase me,So its only natural to be careful of your surroundings, isn''t it? Thankfully, I didn''t encounter any wild animals that could kill me in my 30 minutes of travel.But i have noticed birds similar to sparrows humming a weird tune flying above me in the sky.And finally it looked like I exited the forest since I entered the plains.The floating island was clearly visible from here than before and I also saw what looked like a town with buildings at a short distance from the forest. And as I walked near the town , i could see it was a small town with only some few dozens of buildings.As I looked around, I found people inhabiting the town.From a sign board, I learnt that this town''s name was Balto.And from the looks of it, the buildings in the town looked similar to the buildings back at earth.And also the streets in the town had street lights in their sides.Therefore I guessed that this place had a technology similar to the earth which was a good thing, I hope. Then suddenly a middle aged guy who was pacing nearby looked at me and started walking towards with a face full of smiles. "Oh, You are here rather quickly, I thought it would take another week or two for you to arrive here but thank the lords since you are here sooner.By the way, I am this town''s mayor " "Excuse me, I think you have mistaken me for some one else?" "What are you talking about? Aren''t you the repairman we have called from the main city to repair our town''s television? "Ummm.... No, I am just a traveller" As soon as I said that all the joy drained from his face, fearing that I would lose any chance of getting any help from him, I suddenly said. "Don''t worry, Even though I am a traveller I can also repair the television, its one of the tricks I have learned in my travel" "Are you sure, you can do it?" "Just leave it to me" With that his face returned to normal.If you are wondering, If i could do the job, don''t worry its an easy job since i learned how to repair electronics goods since I worked a part time job in a electronic good''s repair''s shop. Then he showed me the way into the largest building in the town.On the way, since he introduced me as the guy who is going to repair the tv,and hence the townspeople greeted me which felt weird for some reason.I mean what would they do If I can''t repair the damned tv, would they kick me out or beat me up for giving them hope.Why did I feel uneasy you ask, its because suddenly there was a doubt in my mind that whether the technology over here followed the same principles similar to that of earth. As I entered the room, he pressed a switch and turned on the light.In front of me there was a huge hall which I guess was used for town''s meeting and at the further end there was a large television mounted on the wall. "So that the television that you want to repair right?" "Yep, its the only television in our whole town, don''t know what happened but from last week the television screen is filled with lines which makes it impossible to watch the programs " "hmm... is the main city too far away from here?" "Nope its within a day''s travel but the route from their to the town is currently infested by monsters, so unless the knights destroy them no body could come here from the main city" "Monsters? What type of monsters, I never encountered any of them on my way here." "Oh so you are really lucky, it seems that you came from the southern side which is elves territory, so of course there won''t be any monsters over there" I had many more question but didn''t want to bombard the guy with tons of questions since it would raise some suspicion.Therefore I went to work on the television.Fortunately, the technology in this world is same as that of the earth albeit obsolete since nobody back at earth used these technologies any more but still I have learned about these tech since it was an interesting read. It looked to me the problem in the TV was some kind of loose connection in the circuit board .I asked for some of the tools that are required for repairing.He immediately went inside one of the rooms in the side and gave me a tool box when he came out. I suspected the cause of the malfunctioning wad due to some loose connection in the IC therefore I checked both vertical and horizontal IC for loose connections.And as I thought few parts of the vertical IC''s had loose contacts on the solder joints due to the heat generated from the television''s long usage.So I fixed the problems within few minutes. "You can switch on the television now, I finished my work" "What, already?" He asked me in a surprised voice while switching on the television "See, now everything is ok, isn''t it? "Ah... thank you, You don''t know how grateful I am to you, wait a minute, let me give your payment." "What''s the hurry, I will collect the payment when I am about to leave your town, do you know any place where I could stay till that day?" "Don''t worry lad, you can stay at my house as long as you want" "Oh, thanks. I really appreciate it, Mayor" Why I wanted to stay in this town? Is that what you wanted to ask me, Its simple after learning about monsters in the world who in their right mind would rush outside.And whats more it seemed there are even elves in this world.And I still didn''t get a chance to learn why the fuck there is a floating island above us in the sky.So if I wanted to be be safe in this world there was a lot more stuff I needed to learn. After some time he took me to his house.And the mayors house was simple.It only had two rooms and a single kitchen and a bathroom.And the shelves in the hall was filled completely with books. "Are you a scholar, Mr MayoR?" "No.... these books belong to my daughter, she is currently studying in the main city aiming to become a knight" "Oh that''s a great thing, what sort of knight does she want to become?" "That girl lost her mother at an earlier age to the monsters during their travel.So to prevent that sort of tragedy happening she is aiming to become a magic knight" "I am sorry but what does a magic knight do?" "hmmm... how could you not know that basic thing, they use magical spells to fight along with their sword" "Sorry and thanks for explaining it to me" "Don''t mention it, and you can make yourself at home since I am going to make my regular rounds in the town" Saying that he left the room. Magic spells huh? First I saw a floating island, Then found a town with tech similar to earth,After that I heard about monsters and elves, Now there is also a magic knight who uses magic spells. I feel like my head is spinning, let me rest for a while.With that I jumped on the bed in the guest room and fallen asleep with in minutes.

Chapter 2 - A perfect home "Hey wake up, Its time for lunch" The mayor woke me up since it looked like the time for lunch.I stretched my hands for a while and then joined the mayor in the hall. "So what''s for lunch?" I asked "Nothing special, Its just potato stew and rice " "No problem, its more than enough" After that we both started to eat.Truth to be told I didn''t expect the food to taste good but to my surprise it tasted delicious.Then the mayor excused himself after he finished eating since he had some work to do in the community hall.Work... my ass, I am betting that he is going to watch the television since it has been fixed. Well after i finished eating, I started to glance through the books present in the room hoping that I could form sort of general idea about this world.I mean at one side there is technology then on the other side there are monster, elves and a fuckin island which is floating on the damned sky. --------- Start of history------- After looking through many books, I learnt many things.Firstly the name of this world is called as Ellon. And the thing is it looked like they have only explored about 40 percent of the world.When the humans started to explore areas in search of new settlements and resources they had encountered the monsters which used magic. The humans with their primitive weapons at that time could not defeat the monsters and thus they were pushed back.So after some decades they killed the monsters with the helps of newly improvised weapons which were made from iron smithing. On examining the monster''s corpse they found that a stone which looked like some kind of precious stone was inside.And it looked like the color of the stone was different according to the monsters.But nobody understood the value of those stone until one day a researcher figured out their use. He put forward a theory that these monsters have an energy, which he named as mana, present in their body which allows them to create the reaction called as magic.And when they are killed these mana get solidified and then turns into a mana stone.At first people were skeptical at his research since his last research said that world is not flat but rather a sphere. But many others who were fascinated by the theory tried to use the mana from these mana stones create magic similar to that of the monsters.At first nobody succeeded but in another few years time their efforts started to bear fruit as they figured out a way to fuse the mana stones into the weapons.And they even classified the types of magic that could be used according to the mana stones. All the people who knew about this new discovery were excited since this made it possible for them to use mana stones.And also due to this new discovery the monsters which required dozens of peoples to defeat were now killed with ease by a single man equipped with a weapon fused with mana stones.This also made it possible to explore more places in all direction. So people started to move and look for places to settle according to their wishes.These people who migrated to different places created settlements and started to live utilising all the resources around them.And the transport between these settlements was made easy after the discovery of the wheels. Thus the civilisation bloomed slowly as people started to trade between the settlements which further accelerated the growth.Slowly new advances were made in many field which started to improve their lifestyle.One fine example of this was in the field of medicine since new researches cured many diseases which were said to be incurable before. A new break through was made in the field of magic after a few decades.Many people believed that there is a possibility that the energy called mana was also present in the body of the human beings.So they were trying to use the innate mana to create the magic but they failed since they could not figure out, how to control the mana which led to many deaths. Finally they figured out a way on bringing out the mana by creating magic spells.The mana inside the body of the user will be called upon to create the magic according to the magic spells.They categorised the spell into two types. This new breakthrough further increased the growth level of cities and many kingdoms were created.And when these kingdoms started to explore new places so as to expand.They encountered the elves who were superior in technology as well as magic.This started a war between the elves and the humans but the war ended with the elves victory. Thus all the human kingdoms were forcefully incorporated into the elven country. But after a century the new elven queen freed the human kingdoms from elven rule.And the human kingdoms also started to prosper due to the knowledge and technology which they obtained while they were under the elven rule.And now after a few more centuries the humans have grown to the level so as to hold their ground against the elven country.But no war was started between either of them since both sides know that the price to pay would be too large compared to the benefits.So instead they agreed to have friendly relations with each other. Thus at the present century, the elves and the humans live together peacefully.And as a symbol of the peace the elves created the floating island city using their advanced technology and magic which was made open to the royalty of both humans and elves alike .So currently only the human nobles and elven royals live in that place comfortably. --------End of history------ ''So its a city, but what a shame since I can''t go over there'' But the possibility of using magic kinda excited me.But the only question was whether this mana was present inside me. ''Oh.... let me ask the mayor when he comes'' Then I started to use my mobile phone, searching for networks wanting to find whether it was possible to hack any network from the floating island.Since it looked like most of the inventions back at earth such as computer, internet mobiles are also present here albeit they are outdated by at least few decades. I instructed my personal AI Thor present in my mobile phone to notify me when it finished hacking the network.Of course hacking a network was an extremely difficult feat in earth but I guessed that it could easily be done over here by the AI which was created by me. Then I went out of the house to look around the town.Truly it was a small town but the people over here are lively since everyone greeted me without fail.I mean the level of respect I am getting for fixing a TV is kinda overwhelming.Then it got me to wonder is technology such an amazing thing rather than magic.So to clear my doubts I went inside the community hall.The hall was filled with children and adults watching a movie. A small girl came and asked me "Hey mister, are you here to watch the movie?" "No, I am here for the mayor, but why do you ask?" "Nothing, since i thought of watching the movie together with you since I had no one to watch the movie along with me" "Is that so, then I will come watch the movie after talking with the mayor" "Thanks mister, its a promise" "Yeah, its a promise" And when I asked where the mayor was she pointed to his room. ''Excuse me, Mayor may I come in?" "Ah yes...... come in, Is anything troubling you or do you need something?" "Nothing is troubling me, its just I suddenly had a question which I wanted to find an answer.Do you have some time?" "I am currently free, so ask away" "Why is there so little technology in this town?" "haha... from your looks, I was expecting some kind of complicated question but it seems I was wrong.Very well, let me answer you.In our kingdom both Technology and Magic are limited to only the people who have money and ower. So to buy a single tv all our town''s people sacrificed their year''s savings. And my daughter could study magic only because I am a mayor of this town since the kingdom allows one family member to en roll in the academy if any of their immediate family is occupying some important position " "Oh... is that so, thanks for your explanation, Mr mayor" With that I walked away from the room and then looked at the children who were watching the movie on the television.Then the girl from before took my hands and took me to a seat near her to watch the movie So from what I had learnt its possible that these children along with the girl could never have a proper life unless they enroll in the academy but its impossible for their parents to earn enough money to pay the admission fees since most of the people earn a menial amount of money from cutting and selling the woods from the trees in the forest. So I decided that I would somehow help the children to enroll in the academy.The reason you ask? Its simple,Its because I want these children to have a bright future .And somehow this place feels more like home to me.The perfect home I had when my parents were alive.
