《Hemophobia》 Prologue Disclaimer: Not mine~! This FF depicts scenes of violence and some cursing . --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The sun was rising when Chris arrived at his home.Another night spent having fun with friends wasting money on every club they came across, until they were exhausted and more drunk than anyone should be. His father was already awake and reading his newspaper, while he was drinking his black coffee at one of their many halls, when Chris opened the door of his house ... no, u couldn''t call it a house. The door he opened was the door of his family manor.Calling Chris''s family rich would be an understatment. Chris''s father Stefan was a sucessful businessman, and the fortune he was able to accumulate was enough to provide his family everything they dreamed of for several generations. ''''Having fun again?'''' ''''Well, I would like to say so, but I am not sure'''' said the exhausted Chris ''''I know that everytime i am having my fun I waste a lot of money, but recently I start to believe I am wasting my time too'''' Chris had a very good relationship with his father, he never lied to him or kept secrets about himself. His father would always listen about his problems and would advise him as best as he could. ''''I guess it is time for you to grow up and start doing something productive in your life but I have the feeling this is not the case yet'''' ''''The feeling you have is right father , I am not growing up anytime soon'''' said Chris with a chuckle. ''''Right...how about you tell me what is troubling you son?'''' ''''I guess I can''t hide anything from you ,can I? Nevermind don''t answer that!''''Chris made a big sigh and then started to explain what was troubling him to his father. ''''As I was saying, lately I have been starting to believe that I waste my time by living like this.I have all these so called friends but truth is they are nothing more than acquaintances. Somewhere along the way the word friend lost it''s meaning and I am surrounded by people I barely know and they barely know me. Some of them even think I am some kind of royalty because of how rich we are.'''' At that point Stefan thanked the God in his mind that his son was actually growing up even though he didn''t realise it himself and it was only a little. He decided to not interrupt his son by making a comment about it and let him grow up at his own pace. ''''Everything I accomplished until now academically was quite easy for me since, I was provided with the best tutors. I never actually tried to do something that would acquire my absolute commitment. Even the boxing I started and refused to be tought under someone because it''s not like I want to go pro or something, is just a hobby that makes me burn a lot of calories, and gives my body a nice form which works really nice with the ladies.'''' Unauthorized reproduction: this story has been taken without approval. Report sightings. ''''Everything is.... everything is so easy.'''' Stefan looked at his son for a moment and then opened his mouth ''''So you are telling me that you are getting bored'''' Chris nodded at that ''''And you want to find something that is gonna excite you'''' Chris nodded again ''''And perhaps meet some people you will be able to call real friends'''' Stefan watched his son think with a serious look on his face. After a minute Chris opened his mouth to answer. ''''No'''' ''''......'''' ''''......'''' ''''What do you mean no?After thinking for a whole minute this is the answer you got up with?'''' ''''What I mean, is that I don''t want to meet with people, at least not for now.I want to do something alone, something that I am going to accomplish even though all the odds will be against me.'''' Stefan felt proud after the answer his son gave him ''''What is gonna be that something?'''' ''''I have no idea'''' ''''But you just said what you really wanna do, so you probably have an idea right?'''' ''''No, not at all father, and I am not going to decide that right now.I need to crash in my bed,I don''t even know how I could have this whole conversation with you, without dropping dead asleep. And for all reasons this might be a weird idea, I got because I am drunk.'''' Chris started moving on the way to his room on the third floor. Once he arrived he crashed in his oversized bed without even changing clothes. At the hall Stefan started reading his newspaper again, but he soon gave up since he couldn''t concentrate his mind on the world''s problems or the stockmarket. ''''I can''t let him do a step forward and two steps back. Not now! He finally started making some progress.I have to find a solution for this and it''s would be better if it happens before he wakes up'''' After an hour he had made up his mind and already made the necessary moves. ''''He is not gonna like this'''' his father thought ''''But if I can make him try at least, then the results might be positive. END ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Chapter 1
First FFic I ever write, so please be hard on me or I will never learn :) Chapter 1 Disclaimer: Not mine~! '''' '''' for speech '' '' for thoughts When Chris woke up he had a massive headache. Probable result of his drinking parade and the noise from downstairs. He jumped up from his bed and headed for the bathroom. After he washed his face he decided it wasn''t enough for him to really wake up so he decided to take a shower. The shower was quite refreshing and reduced his headache a little. Once he got himself in clean clothes he noticed the noise was becoming louder. '''' I guess I better go down and check what is going on '''' After he exited his room he could see his father leading the way up the stairs to two workers of some company, the head butler and one servant who were carring something quite huge which he didn''t pay any attention. '''' Hey dad, what''s going on? '''' '''' Chris!! You are awake. Good, we can start installing the capsule now '''' '' The capsule? What the hell is he talking about? Is he already at the age he starts spouting nonsense? Maybe a decease.....I have to call mom and tell her to return from Paris. What is she doing there all the time anyway, isn''t she bored buying new clothes from every famous designer? '' '''' Father what capsule are you refering to? '''' '''' The capsule I orded for you of course. Did you forget about the conversation we had this morning? '''' '' OH SHIT!!!! I knew I was forgeting something important '' At that time the workers had already opened the box where the capsule was and started making the required instalations for it''s proper use. Chris saw the so called capsule that made his jaw drop. '''' Isn''t it perfect? '''' said Stefan '''' Perfect for what? Dad I get that you want to help me with my problems, but send me to space, in an intergallactic mission with the survival of the human race on the line, isn''t gonna solve a thing '''' '''' You are right it won''t and that''s why I didn''t get you a capsule for space travel, but a capsule that connects to virtual reality! '''' '''' Virtual reality? Why would you get me something like that, you know I am not a fan of games. They are fake '''' '''' This one isn''t fake at all son, it has 99% realism. In fact you could easily say that you enter a different demension and not a game. I know that you decided to do something that you want to do and not something, someone else wants you to do, so I am not gonna force you to play VR games, but I think that what you are looking for, is inside that world and that''s why I want you to promise me that you will at least try it out. Here is the manual, it''s quite big actually, but i suggest you read it all before trying to connect in VR. '''' Chris was cursing himself on the inside, but he knew that he would eventually agree to his father''s wish since it was far from unreasonable and his father was someone that rarely asked for favours. '''' Ok father I promise, I am gonna try this VR game '''' '''' Excellent!! I knew you would understand but there is something that is bothering me son. Did you really not know what that capsule is? VR exists for 10 years now, there is no way you haven''t heard of it. '''' ''''You are right father I have indeed heard of it but I never desired to join the people who invited me to accompany them to this new world. I lived a perfect life with no regrets until now. Why would I want to have something less than that? '''' Stefan understood his son''s way of thinking, he knew how much he spoiled his son and thats why he wanted to help him change. If you spot this narrative on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation. ''''Well son, the workers seem to be done with the instalation. I am gonna let you study the manual and I expect you to inform me about all your adventures and the people you are gonna meet.'''' after that Stefan left the room with the rest of the people and closed the door behind him. Chris then gave a closer look to the capsule that was now installed in his room. It had a black-silver color and someone much taller than him could fit in easily. He decided to stop wasting time and read the manual since he didn''t even know how to open the thing. It took him 6 hours to finish it. The manual was big, but the fact of how ignorant he was about games made it much harder for him. He had to do some internet research to understand it''s contents. Still, he didn''t connect to Royal Road. Royal Road was the name of the VR game his father bought for him. Starting ten years after it''s release, he had major disadvantages against other players. '' I know very little about this VR game even after I''ve read the manual, I need to watch some videos and find reliable forums '' He spent another 2 hours but he found a lot of information about beginners. He had already made his mind on what kind of avatar to create. The capsule his father got him was a special one. The capsule will massage his muscles so he won''t neglect his physical condition. The price of the capsule was double the amount of a normal one, but the reason wasn''t just the massage property. He will be able to make a special request at the time of creation of his Avatar and with that he will have his ideal Avatar. '' Since I spent almost all day sleeping, I can stay awake for at least 10 more hours which mean 40 hours in VR. I promised my father I would try my best, that''s why I am gonna learn a lot of things and train hard. This may be a game but I don''t like the idea of dying or being a loser. Let''s hope the one month restriction inside the town, is enough for me to get strong enough to stand alone '' After that, he opened the capsule and entered it. He closed the top and waited inside the darkness for something to happen. Two minutes later a female voice broke the silence.

'''' Yes! '''' answered Chris - The scan on your iris and vein has determined that you are an unregistered user. Do you want to create a new account? '''' Yes! '''' - Select the name of your avatar. '''' Curun?r Estelron of Thargelion '''' He decided to use his real name in the game but translated in elvish. - Select your gender from male, female or nautral. '''' Male! '''' - Royal Road has forty-nine races. You may select your race from the primary thirty-six. '''' At this point I would like to make my special request which is available for my account. '''' - You may make a special request regarding your avatar''s race. '''' I want to be Half-Human and Half- Blood Elf. '''' - Blood Elves are an extinct race, are you sure this is the race of your choice? '''' Yes! '''' - You may alter your appearance. In front of Chris appeard a shorter skinny version of himself with short gray hair, pale white skin and hollow eyes. '' You got to be kidding me...... I look like a moving corpse that came out of a bad vampire movie. '' (vampires are actually moving corpes) '' What is next? Diamond like skin and glowing under the sunlight? '' '''' You say that I can change my appearance as much as I want? '''' - You may alter your appearance as much as you want, as long as 70% of your facial features stay the same and your height is between 5 and 6,3 feet. '''' Hm.... '''' '''' Change my height to 6,1 feet and increase shoulder length by 3 inches. '''' - Done '''' Change built to compact.... No, I want a slightly thinner version... Good. Also I want 2 braids at the right part of my face. '''' - Done '''' Change my facial features a little so I have a mysterious look. '''' - Done The AI was making the changes one after another and Chris was getting more and more impatient about starting the game. '' I am really cool like that, but I have a feeling something is missing.....THAT''S IT!!!! '' He would never try something like that on his body in reality even if he wanted, but here it''s virtual reality....LET''S GO WILD!!.(LOL) ''''I want a black color tattoo that starts from the top right part of my face and goes all the way down to my right shoulder chest. '''' After he chose the desirable tattoo design of the possible ones he was provided with, he told the AI he was done altering his appearance. He had spent a lot of time already and he really wanted to start playing with his avatar. This is how his avatar looked like : - Your account has been activated. Your stats and class shall...... I WANNA CHOOSE WH- - Enjoy your time *Flash* '''' DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAaaaaaaaaaaaaaamn youuuuuuuuuuu... '''' After the flash of light, Chris .... no, Curun?r Estelron of Thargelion opened his eyes. Everything was a blur but after a few seconds he could see his legs. His legs were standing on the ground. His senses told him that it felt absolutly solid. '''' This is......this is unbelievable!!! '''' He closed his eyes again and tryed to focus on what he could feel. He could feel the same way he could in reality. The pressure of his weight at his feet, the beating of his heart, his body resisting the wind, he felt his chest pump and fill with air, he felt the warmth of the sun on his fac...... '' Wait, there is no warmth of the sun on my face. '' Curun?r opened his eyes once again. Astonished, he couldn¡¯t believe his eyes as he looked around. It was dark and he was able to see but at the same time he wasn''t. At least not what he was supposed to. He was supposed to see people come and go while the racket of those haggling and chattering rang in his ears. He was supposed to see castles, towers and houses, but again he didn''t see any of that. The view which unfolded before his eyes was a plain surrounded by a partial ring of hills. Directly behind him was a huge cliff and nothing seemed to exist after that. '' This world has an edge i guess and it''s damn scary. '' Turning around Curun?r saw the other part of the partial ring where the hills didn''t meet. At that part there was a thick forest with huge trees and everything about it screamed of danger. '' I am standing directly above the world''s end, huge hills on my right and left, at last in front of me a forest probably full of monsters that came out of my worst nightmares. '' '' If someone is trying to scare me and make me shit my pants, he has almost succeded. '' He made a big sigh as he looked at the sky. '''' As if I wasn''t already in a bad situation, I can see 3 moons on the sky which means I am still drunk. '''' DING!

You are the first player that has Vampire Kingdom as his starting place +100 Fame
After a ringing like sound a window appeared in front of Curun?r''s face. He was wondering how it was possible for a window to appear out of nowhere, but he decided to pay attention on what was going on and read the message in it. '''' VAMPIRE KINGDOM!!!???? '''' he screamed with wide eyes. '' This can''t be happening..... I am in a Kingdom full of moving corpses. In addition, I am not inside a city or town which means i can''t train, do quests, buy supplies or get a profession. '' He was swearing and kicking the ground for 30 min before his anger and frustration left him. He decided the best choice for now was to calm down and then think why he might be in this kind of situation. He focused on every little thing that happened from the momment he entered his capsule. '''' It''s the race!! '''' The AI warned him that the Blood Elves faced extinction. The most logical guess was that there is no Blood Elf city anymore, and since Blood Elves where considered the '''' Bad Elves '''' maybe that''s why he couldn''t start in an Elven City. Orc and Dwarven cities where out of the question for obvious reasons. As far as he was aware of, Vampires weren''t one of the unlocked races in Royal Road and that means, it wasn''t possible for him to start in their cities. All that however didn''t explain why he couldn''t start in a Human city '' It seems, I am going to make a lot of enemies even if it''s not my intention. '' He knew very little about his race, after all it wasn''t an unlocked one. At that point he remembered about the manual he spent hours reading. He was able to check his racial traits at his Status Window. '''' Let''s try it '''' '''' Status Window ''''

'' And just like that, my possible quest givers were reduced by 80%. Orcs and Dwarves hate Elves by nature, Elves and Human Churces want to hunt me down for some reason. That leaves....... Vampires. '' '''' That''s it, I quit! '''' Curun?r opened the System Menu and was ready to hit the Log Out button, but something stopped him. '''' This is not right. I can''t give up that easily, when I gave my promise to my father I would try this out. I didn''t experience anything important yet. '''' He made his resolve and started walking his way to the hills at his right side. Five hours later he was a few steps away from the top of the highest hill when *Ding!*
Strenght increased by 1 point.
Curun?r was happy for his first earned stat but the look on his face was a disappointed one. What unfolded before his eyes were endless ridges of hills. ( These actually are mountain ridges, but you get what I mean ) He had a small hope about coming across a city or town or even a village. Starting moving downhill this time without wasting any time, he increased his speed a little. He stumbled and almost fell a lot of times along the way to the bottom of the next hill. He was rewarded with a familiar sound though. *Ding!*
Agility increased by 1 point.
Vitality increased by 1 point.
The two stats increased at the same time. '''' So much work for one point increase in each combat stat '''' He closed the window and got ready to run the hill the way up this time. Five minutes later he was out of breath and his legs were trembling. Running the hill the way up wasn''t a good idea. His Stamina descreased by 40% in 5 min and his satiation by 20%. He sat down and took a short rest. Without eating or drinking, he had been traveling for nearly seven straight hours. He was physically fatigued and worse, his throat was burning with thirst and his stomach empty and hollow. '''' Inventory window " Given the preset keyword, the semi-transparent images of all the belongings in his inventory floated in front of his eyes. Inside his inventory were a canteen and ten pieces of rye bread. It was time for him to taste the ~hellbread~ as people in forums were calling it. '''' C''mon, how bad can it really be, I am sure they are exaggerating '''' He took out a piece of rye bread and the canteen, and nibbled a mouthful of bread. Saying it was horrible would be and understatment. It was like he was chewing dirt. After drinking a sip of water from his canteen, he was able to swallow the bread. *cough* *cough* *cough* '' Is this supposed to be a joke of the developers? One bite is pure torture '' Curun?r was angry. Not so much for the bread he ate moments ago, but for the ones he will have to eat to survive. Not being capable of handling his frustration anymore, he started screaming and swearing while imagining a bunch of developers right in front of him. '''' You think this is funny? Let ME tell you something funny '''' '''' FUCK YOU! FUCK EACH AND EVERYONE OF YOU. YOU CAN JUST @%@#%@#% AND @#$%$@#$ AND AFTER THAT #$%@!$@...............@#$@$%^........................@#%!@$%#$%.......fifteen minutes later..... HOW ABOUT THAT LOSERS? '' I HATE THIS MORE AND MORE BY THE SECOND '' He knew there was nothing he could do about it so he ate the rest of his already bitten bread with a few sips of water from his canteen to help him swallow it. Once he finished eating he watched his satiation factor rise to the max. When he recovered 100% of his stamina he got ready to travel again. '' Walking the way up and running the way down is the only way for my satiation and stamina to drop slowly while I''m actually making some progress on passing these hills. That also means less rest and food breaks. '' Running the way down was hard. His speed was more than what he could handle. He had good reflexes but his body wasn''t strong or fast enough to listen to him. There were times he couldn''t stop himself or change diraction and fell on big rocks.

New stat: Endurance
Endurance: Reduces the loss of vitality and stamina. Stat points distribution is possible and depending on the character¡¯s actions, it can increased by itself.
The rest of his stats increased too as he was passing the hills one after another. Every time a pop-up message appeared, Curun?r was secretly delighted by the progress he was making. What was deeply troubling him was a sense of frustration that he had been falling behind in his goals. His goal was to become strong so he can hunt and do quests solo. Sure, his stats were increasing but he had no weapon mastery generated or a profession or money to get weapon and armor. '' I guess, I am going to hunt in a party until I get a decent weapon. '' Unknown to him, It had been more than 25 years in game since any player set foot in the Vampire Kingdom. When 24 hours passed and his Silence curse was lifted he was so happy he started singing as loud as he could. He hated how quiet it had been. It took him about 3 hours to pass a single hill and after his tenth, he decided it was time to stop for the day and take a rest . The first time anyone connected to Royal Road would experience enormous mental fatigue. He sat on a rock waiting for his stamina to replenish before he was going to disconnect. As he was sitting there he thought about the things he had learned. First, were the three moons. They weren''t part of his imagination or drunk state, that place just had three moons instead of one. Second, it was always night at the Vampire Kindom which actually made a lot of sense for them to choose a place like that to live, but it also meant all monsters were 50% stronger 24/7. Third, was how much hard work someone had to do to increase his/hers stats. The higher the stat , the harder it was to raise it. He checked his Status Window once again to see his progress and then disconnected from Royal Road.

Back in his room Chris opened the top of the capsule and got up. He didn''t have any sore muscles from staying idle for so long inside the capsule by virtue of the massage option it had. A thought crossed his mind about searching information on the internet about the Vampire Kingdom, but it was dismissed because of how tired he was. He lied down on his bed and soon was in the embrace of Morpheus. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This FF depicts scenes of violence and some cursing . '''' speech '''' '' thoughts '' * sounds* * * * It was almost noon when Chris woke up. He went outside for a thirty minute light running to break a sweat. Once back home his housemaid had already prepared for him a warm bath. After he was finished with the bath and felt relaxed, he made his way to the hall where his housemaid served him a healthy breakfast the cook had made. When he finished it was already an hour and a half after noon. He made his way back to his room and sat in front of his desktop. He searched the web for information on Vampire Kingdom but he couldn''t find any information except that it has already been more than 6 years(real time)since some players visited the Vampire Kingdom. Apparently you need a private invitation/permission of a higher class Vampire to enter their realm. Chris wondered what was going to happen to him if Vampires found out he entered their realm without permission. He already had a lot of enemies and the Vampires weren''t his allies either. They were just...neutral. '''' I guess I have to find information inside the game by myself. '''' Chris stood up and headed towards the capsule. He opened it and entered inside it. This time he didn''t have to wait inside the darkness like the first time. He listened to the familiar female voice calling him.
CONNECT TO ROYAL ROAD? YES / NO
'''' Yes! '''' * * * Curun?r opened his eyes and found himself exactly at the same point he had disconnected the last time. He didn''t have any time to waste, his provisions would run out soon. Once again he started running down and up the hill ridges on the same direction he headed the day before. It was much easier thanks to the stats he had gained, however now that his stats were higher, the stat increase slowed down by a lot. He stopped for another break when he passed ten hills in total. It took him almost half the time to do that compared to the day before, showing to him how big of a change can a few additional stats be. His stats however, weren''t the only thing had changed. He had three breads left and no water in his canteen. '''' I have to find civilization soon or I ''m goin to die from hunger. '''' His satiation and stamina bar soon were full and he continued his endless journey. Only five hours later he got a disturbing message. * Ding! *
You are in a dehydrated state, you are suffering from excessive loss of water from your body. Stamina and Satiation drop one and a half times faster.
Curun?r frowned as he checked the message but he only had the option to move until he was able to find a source of water. As time passed it was harder for him to move even though his stamina wasn''t at dangerous levels. Four hours later got another message about his status and a new stat.
You are in a dehydrated state, you are suffering from excessive loss of water from your body. Stamina and Satiation drop two times faster. Strength -2 Agility -2 Vitality -2
New stat: Sustenance
Sustenance: You are likely to use less stamina in action. You are prohibited from distributing stat bonus points to this stat
Curun?r thanked the God that took pity on him and gave him this new stat. He had a small hope about getting out of this hell. Every hope he had hower was lost 1 hour later.
You are in a dehydrated state, you are suffering from excessive loss of water from your body. Stamina and Satiation drop three times faster. You have a high fever! You are losing 10 HP per minute. Strength -5 Agility -5 Vitality -5
When he got the message he was once again at the top of another hill. He fell on his knees since he wasn''t able to continue, he had no stamina and nothing to eat. In addition he was losing health points every minute which meant he would soon die. He closed his eyes and waited for his torture to end. '''' Dammit, after all this way and this is the result. '''' Curun?r couldn''t handle the effects of the dehydration anymore. His throat was more dry than the dessert or at least that''s how he thought. Every breath felt like a hundred razors scratching his throat. He remained like that with his eyes closed waiting for his death. He was concentating every sense of his on this very moment. He wanted to feel this helplessness with every cell of his body because, this was the first and the last time he would ever allow himself to be in this kind of state. His thoughts and senses howerver were desturbred by a sound he had never heard till now in this world. It was the sound of ....... '''' Water! '''' He opened his eyes to look around from where he thought the sound was coming and he indeed saw water. He saw a river no more than one hundred meters away from him. Curun?r put all the strength he had left in his legs, stood up and moved towards the river. In his dehydrated state and tired body Curun?r looked more like a zombie than a person. These one hundred meters seemed like a kilometer for him. Upon reaching the river Curun?r put water in his hands and then drank from them. He repeated that action until he thought wasn''t possible for him to drink more. He lyed on the floor for a while to catch his breath and after a while he felt much better. He wasn''t in a dehydrated state, his stamina descrease and stats were back to normal, and most importantly he stopped losing health points. With his stamina full after a while and his satiation at fifty percent he stood up to take a better look around the place. The river had a strong flow and was quite deep. He definitely needed a bridge to cross over to the other side. He moved alongside the river in case he finds one along the way or find a part of the river that wasn''t that deep. He would try to make a raft if only he had the tools but the only thing he had at the moment were his dirty clothes. It wasn''t long after that he heard wierd noises. It sounded like animals were fighting each other and after Curun?r came closer to the source of the noise he saw two monsters fighting in front of a cave. One of them was a huge spider which was defending its territory as it seemed at the start. The other looked like a big wild yak with twisted horns pointing to the front. Looking closer you could see a small newborn yak next to the big one. In conclusion the spider was trying to get it''s meal with a little dessert as a bonus. The spider screeched at the yak which was using its body as a shield to protect the newborn. It started circling around the yak trying to find an opening. The yak didn''t engage and watched the spider. Then the spider made a fast move and attacked the big yak using its fangs. Obviously the spider couldn''t win with its strength against the yak but it was possible with its agility and poison, and so it did. Even though the big yak had thick fur, eventually the spider''s fangs were able to pierce it and spread its poison. The big yak endured the pain since avoiding the spider''s attacks wasn''t an option. The moment the big yak avoids an attack the spider will attack the newborn. So the yak tryed to attack or better say counter the spider after its attack. It was able to take thirty percent of the spider''s life but the yak had lost sixty percent of it''s own because of the multiplyed effect the poison had since the spider used poison in every attack. With so much poison in its body the yak was getting slower and in the end the spider succeded an attack on the newborn yak. The big yak was angry before, but now.....now it was furious. It unlished its fighting spirit which stunned the spider and Curun?r even though he was about fifty meters away from the battle. Curun?r''s body stiffened and froze when was hit by the fighting spirit of the big yak. The air around seemed to be dense and he felt the gravity under his feet to pull him harder. In his eyes the yak now looked more like a demon and every fiber of his body screamed to him to turn back and run away but at the same time his eyes refused to leave the demon out of their sight. Curun?r on one hand wanted to leave and save his life but at the other he wanted to see what was going to happen next. At that point he heard a couple of messages but he ignored them. If you spot this tale on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation. The yak charged to the stunned spider sending it as a result on the wall next to the cave entrance. The spider once again stunned from the charged blow. The yak then attacked with its horns the underbelly of the spider making huge damage. It moved its neck furiously scraping spider bodyparts left and right. Before the spider could make a move it had died, turned gray and disappeared. Soon after that the yak fell on the ground and died too. The black goo that was all over it from the spider''s belly was poisonous and it farther amplified the effect. Curun?r after witnessing the battle had to admit how weak he was. The charge of the yak would kill him in the air before he could reach the wall and there were times that he couldn''t see clearly the spider''s moves. They were more like a blur to him and all of these together made it clear that these monsters were hundreds of levels higher than him. He couldn''t hunt them anytime soon. Having a clear mind Curun?r decided to check the messages he took earlier.

'''' Wow! Although it''s little disapointing I didn''t get an active skill, still this one will be very usefull now and in the future. '''' After he checked his new skill and stat he walked towards where the newborn yak was. It was lying on the ground with foam coming out of its mouth. Curun?r was able to look closer the newborn yak. It had short brown fur with a white spot at the back of his neck. Its size wasn''t bigger than a dog and its eyes were black. Curun?r got another message then.
New Skill: Observe

He wanted to celebrate for using a skill for the first time and leveling it up but he restrained himself. He carried to newborn yak next to the river and washed its mouth of the foam. He also tried to help it drink some water but it was hardly breathing at that point. Moments later the poison of the spider had finally killed it, it turn grey and disappeared too. Curun?r felt kind of bad for the little yak but he didn''t have time to waste, or else he would die too. He stood up and started walking alongside the river again but before he could make one step he heard a strong moan from behind him. '''' MOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO '''' Curun?r turned around and saw a wild yak coming from the same direction he did. The yak unleashed his fighting spirit and charged at him. '''' Oh shit! It thinks I am the one who killed the newborn. '''' He was right. Upon its arrival the yak saw the newborn disappear right in front of Curun?r and since no one else was around it holded him responsible for the newborn''s death. Curun?r wasn''t affected much from the fighting spirit of the yak since he now had resistance to mental attacks and the yak was about two hundred meters away but he knew what was going to happen if he didn''t run. The yak was much faster than Curun?r and that''s why you could see the difference between them getting descreased by the second. 200m between them *huff* *huff* *huff* '''' Damn it, what the hell did I do to deserve something like that '''' 150m between them *huuff* *huuff* *huuff* '''' Arriving at that particular moment what a freaking coincidence '''' 100m between them

'''' YOU FUCKING DEVELOPEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEERSSSSSSSSSSSS '''' When he fell inside the water he lost any kind of control he had over his body because of the strong flow. He tried to make his way up to the surface but he couldn''t. He couldn''t distinguish up from down between all that twisting the flow of the river did to his body. At some point he fell on a big rock losing some of his life but that also gave him the chance to hold on from something. Holding the rock with all his strength he pushed himself up to the surface where he gasped for air. After a few breaths Curun?r looked around trying to find a way to get out of this mess but what he saw astonished him. Huge rocks that seemed a lot like gates were at each side of the river. That was the last thing Curun?r saw right before a log tree hit his head and lost conciousness. He stood up and looked around. Rocky walls right and left, the ceiling had long stalactites and the ground was rocky but slippery and had a lot of stalagmites. In front of him was a lake and right above of it was an underground waterfall. Curun?r guessed that''s where he came from and the biggest damage he got was probably when he fell from up there inside the lake. Whatever little light existed inside the cave was coming from the direction opposite to the lake. He followed the direction the light was coming from hoping he could find an exit soon. As he went closer to the light the space around him was becoming smaller and in the end he was inside a narrow tunnel. The tunnel had a lot of zigzags and to Curun?r it seemed like the light was trying to run away from him. He then remembered that the light can be reflected on smooth and shiny surfaces. The slippery smooth ground and the humidity inside the cave made that possible. He continued walking and soon after he was at the end of the tunnel, where another cave chamber existed. The scene that unfolded before his eyes was breathtaking. There was another lake as it seemed at first but the water wasn''t even ankle deep, so it was more like a huge water puddle. He passed the oversized puddle in a hurry and once he stepped on ground again he stood still for a minute looking in amazement. There were strange rocks on the walls of the chamber that were emitting a strong white light somehow. The reflection of that light on the wet surfaces that worked like a prism, gave the cave a red-blue color. After a few moments of looking around he started walking again and entered another narrow tunnel. The light from the stones on the walls made his advance faster and after a while he entered another chamber. That chamber was much bigger close to the size of a football stadium. The strangest thing however existed inside that chamber. A metal gate about fifty meters from where he entered. Curun?r wandered why would someone put a metal gate over there when nothing existed past it. There were no fences or walls too. He tried to walk past the gate from the left side and continue until he was able to find an exit , but he fell face first on an invisible wall. He staggered for a while but he was able to find his balance again. This time he walked slowly with his right hand extended to the front. An invisible wall or maybe a barrier which was connected with the gate touched his hand. He threw stones all around the gate but none passed through the invisible barrier. '''' Someone put that thing here to keep others outside. But then again if that someone wanted to keep others away, why would he also put a gate? '''' He stood in front of the gate and after a deep breath he pushed it open. Once he crossed the gate the scenery around him changed completely. He was standing on a brick paving path. On the left and right side of the path were roses. It was a garden of immeasurable number of black roses. There were no damaged or brown leaves or petals. It was a perfectly preserved garden.

'''' At the end of the garden there was a dark castle that screamed of all kinds of horrors. Curun?r thought that entering a place like that is like asking for a horrifying painfull death but it was too late to go back. He could feel someone watching him from the castle''s direction and in the end he didn''t have any provisions or a way out of this cave. He crossed the garden and after a two minute light running he was standing in front of the castle''s big black gates. He was ready to knock when he heard a metallic clinking followed by a creaking noise and saw the gates open wide. He stood there without moving a muscle for a while expecting someone to appear but nobody did. He stepped inside the castle and got the message.
You are the first to discover Castle Of The Ancient One Fame +250
* * * The Ancient One existed for almost three thousand years until this day. From the time he was born he witnessed many things but what he witnessed the most was death. Being someone that wasn''t touched by time he outlived everyone and everything around him. Everyone he hated or loved eventually was gone and he was alone once again. There were others like him but at the same time they weren''t. They could live for a long time but they would eventually age and die. Five hundred years ago he decided it was better for him to live in loneliness and thus he took his home and went somewhere he hoped nobody could find. He was lonely but at least he had spared himself from needless pain. Or so he thought. Barely one hundred years later he suffered from something much worse than loneliness and pain. It was endless and immeasurable boredom. It was torturing him every second of his existance. He read the millions of books he had in his collection again and again and again but still he was bored. He practised all kinds of magic and fighting skills he knew of, but he had mastered them already almost a thousand years ago. There were of course magic and fighting skills he didn''t know of but that was because he couldn''t use them or learn them. There were things like that which were only possible to learn by those of a specific class or race. Same thing about his crafting and artistic skills. He then decided to find something to occupy his time. There was something he had not felt yet. When he was young he had one of the greatest teachers if not THE greatest. He had not felt what it means to be a teacher or mentor yet. He never took someone under his wing in fear that the ones who learned from him would use their power for evil and destruction. But if he could find someone that he was sure wouldn''t use his teachings for evil or even better if he could find someone with pure heart then he wouldn''t have to worry. In the years that came next he planned where to leave clues all around the world and series of quests that would eventually guide the ones who succeed them to him. There were quests that would need someone to kill the most ferocious of beasts. There were others that would test someone''s bravery, kindness and judgement. And lastly, there were ones that would test someone''s patience, wisdom and knowledge. After someone had succeeded in all these he/she would get the information of where to find him. That however was another quest in a way since he wasn''t in a place anyone could go or say better, had the permission to go. That had the purpose of testing someone''s creativity. Hundreds of years later and nobody had come to find him. He was disappointed in a way. The clues were difficult to find and the quests were even harder to succeed but they were not impossible. He didn''t get discouraged though, he was sure one day people or at least a person who had proved worthy would come. And then one day the same as any other came where he was sitting in his study room copying the contents of an old damaged book to a new one when he felt a force hitting his barrier. He was so surprised he almost ruined the new book by dropping ink on it. He stood up and went in front of a window where he could watch the gate. Nothing happened for a while and then he saw a lot of forces hitting his barrier. He cursed at the bats that were probably causing this and he went back to his work. Before he could sit in his armchair however he felt clearly the gates to open and someone passing through them. He quickly went back in front of his window and saw a man standing on the paved path of his garden. The man was looking around dumbfounded at the scene that unfolded before his eyes and after a while he made his way to the castle. As fast as lightning The Ancient One moved all around inside the castle making the necessary preparations. He finally had a guest. * * * Curun?r was moving slowly past the gates of the castle. He was excited to discover a place none had ever found but he was also scared of what might lay inside the castle. After a few steps, torches lit around the room and lightened the insides of the castle. Curun?r was standing at the center of a hall room. He saw a long hallway on his right and another on his left. In front of him was the entrance of a smaller hallway surrounded by a double staircase that led on the upper part of the castle. On the walls he could see a lot of paintings. Some where of beautiful women or handsome men and others were of battles or beasts. Curun?r got a lot of messages by looking at the paintings with a temporary boost on stats or regeneration but he also got a massive increase in art stat. The creator of the paintings was surely someone very skilled with exceptional sense of art. Some of them even looked alive. Curun?r mesmerized didn''t notice when the figure of a man appeared at the top of the double stairs. Curun?r flinched at the presence of the man looking at him. The man had gray poreless skin, long straight white hair, a compact build and the same shiny yellow eyes Curun?r had. He looked like someone with a lot of wisdom but he also looked.... Deadly. The man was wearing a black fabric top with a big oval red ruby stone in the middle of his chest area and around it silver metallic parts that were protecting his vital parts without lowering his flexibility. His pants were made by the same black fabric and where decorated by a double leather belt. Lastly a long black leather coat with silver color plates to protect his shoulders and arms. (I hope the fans of Magic don''t mind me using this) Curun?r was thinking about how to start a conversation, but the man beat him to it. '''' Welcome to my castle dear guest. It seems like you have come a long way. '''' Unauthorized tale usage: if you spot this story on Amazon, report the violation. '''' Hello sir, I''m pleased to be in your presence. '''' '''' You must be tired and hungry. Why don''t you take a bath in one of the guest rooms and join me for dinner. Introductions can wait for later. '''' '''' Thank you for your hospitality, but if you don''t mind me asking..... You are a Vampire right? '''' '''' But of course. '''' said the man '''' And you probably noticed that I am not a Vampire right? '''' Yes, I did! '''' '''' I really hate to ask that but........ I am not the dinner right? '''' The man didn''t say a word and after a whole minute of awkwardness he had a neverending laugh. The vampire seemed amused by what he said but Curun?r wasn''t amused at all. He was scared shitless to be exact because the laugh of the man was making the whole castle to tremble. '''' You have got quite the sense of humor young man. It''s been centuries since someone made me laugh like that. Now, please go and take a relaxing bath and when you are done make your way to the great hall for the dinner. '''' the man showed Curun?r where the guest room and the great hall was and left. '' Dammit, so am I the dinner or not? '' Curun?r wanted to scream. He entered the guest room and from there to the bathroom where he took a warm bath. The guest room and the bathroom were quite big as Curun?r expected. Other people would have a totally different reaction being in a room like that but not Curun?r. He lived his life in a pretty big house. This castle was just a little bigger, older and with more artwork. Curun?r finished his bath and went to take his clothes from the guest room but in their place he found another set of clothes. They were made from the same fabric as the clothes of the man was wearing. Curun?r wore the clothes and stood in front of the mirror the room had. The clothes look old but fashionably old and they fit him perfectly. The most amazing thing however was how soft and weightless the clothes were, he almost couldn''t feel wearing them. He got out of the guest room and made his way to the hall room. The hall room was huge. Someone could easily hold a two hundred dinner party there. In the middle there was a not so big table. It was a table for six at the most. The man was standing on one side of the table waiting his guest. Curun?r went and stood at the opposite side of the man where dinner was already served. Curun?r left a breath he didn''t even realise was holding. '' Thank God I am not the dinner. '' '''' I hope I didn''t make you wait long sir. '''' '''' No, not at all! I served dinner only a moment ago. '''' '''' You? You did this all by yourself? '''' '''' One of the negatives when you live alone. '''' '''' I think I need to apologize to you sir! I clearly underestimated you the moment I saw you. '''' '''' Oh my! It''s not something worth mentioning. '''' '''' Then I hope you don''t mind if I have another opinion on the matter. In every part of the castle I passed until now, all the surfaces are shiny and spotless. It''s not something easy to accomplish in a castle this big when you live alone and you don''t expect a guest to visit. '''' A smile formed in the man''s face and it seemed like he was in a better mood than before. '''' Thank you for your kind words young man. I hope my cooking isn''t going to disappoint you either. '''' They both sat down almost at the same time and got ready to eat. Curun?r checked his plate and saw a stake served with mushroum sauce. He got the silverware in his hands and started eating the stake. The stake was soft and gave him a mouth-watering experience. He didn''t say a word at all while he was eating. One reason was of course because it''s rude to speak with your mouth full and second, he couldn''t stop eating this excelent made food. When he ate the whole steak he got a message.

Once again Curun?r''s eyes almost got out of their sockets after reading the message he got, but at least this time he wasn''t choking. He left the silverware on the table anouncing in a way he was done with his meal. The man had already finished by that time and was able to see every strange face Curun?r made which made the man chuckle for a while, making sure however his guest wouldn''t take notice. '''' I hope my cooking skills didn''t disappoint you. '''' '''' Not disappointed at all! It was the best meal I''ve ever had. '''' '''' I''m glad it was to your liking, but I think now it''s time for introductions right? '''' said the man and raised himself from the chair. Curun?r did the same and both of them moved in the middle of the room next to the table. '''' I guess I am going to introduce myself first. I''m Caleb. Caleb Fang. '''' '''' It''s an honor to meet you sir Caleb. I am Curun?r Estelron of Thargelion. '''' '''' So sir Curun?r why don''t you tell me some things about yourself. '''' '''' Please call me Curunir, I am not that old nor that important for such honorifics. And about myself, there isn''t anything worth mentioning really. '''' '''' Now, if that was the truth I don''t think you would be able to make your way here. Not just anyone can come here. '''' Curun?r thought for a moment and then answered. '''' I was afraid sooner or later it would come to this. '''' '''' Come to what? '''' '''' You see sir Caleb, I came to this Kingdom without permission '''' '''' Well that''s really worth mentioning and I am impressed, although it makes me wonder how could you achieve such a thing. '''' '''' I didn''t really achieve anything, after all I was forced to come here because of what I am. '''' '''' Because of what you are? I don''t understand Curun?r please explain further. '''' '''' I was sent here by Gaea. Since I am Half-Blood Elf and anyone in the Versailles continent hates me, I was forced to start my adventures on this realm. After that I traveled for six days I ended up by accident in front of your gate. '''' Silence and awkwarness followed without any of them move a muscle. After a minute that to Curun?r seemed like an hour, Caleb turned around and made his way to his chair again where he sat down. As Curun?r watched him sit there, he could almost see a huge question mark above his head while at the same time he had a disappointed look. '''' Sir Caleb I have the feeling you were desperately waiting for someone to come and obviously I am not that someone. '''' '''' I''m sorry for having such a reaction in front of you Curun?r..... it''s just a lot to take in. We can have a talk again once I have organized my thoughts. Untill then my castle is your home, you can go and do as you like. '''' Curun?r turned around to leave but before he was out of the room he said a last thing. '''' Sir Caleb I didn''t have any intention of misleading you or give you false hope, even though I ended up doing just that in the end and for that I am really sorry. '''' '''' It''s fine Curun?r, I am sure the one I am waiting for will appear sooner or later. '''' With that Curun?r left the room wondering what kinds of wonders he could find inside this castle. * * * Caleb made his way to the entrance hall, his guest had finally arrived. When he reached the double staircase he saw a young man looking in amazement the interior of the castle. Caleb however wasn''t able to read or sense anything from this young man. He thought that the young man couldn''t be that weak which means he was pretty good at hiding his presence. When he got closer to the man Caleb noticed the man was a mess. He was dirty and his clothes were beyond repair. Caleb had to agree however that even like that the man looked really handsome and had a mysterious look, plus he had quite the sense of humour. He guided the man to one of the guest rooms so he could take a bath and gave him a new set of clothes in his size. After that they ate dinner and Caleb was amused by the look the young man had when he realised what he ate and drank. For Caleb things like that were easy to find but for other people it was almost impossible to see a dragon up close, forget about eating the meat of one, and as for the Deluxe Blue Cherry Champagne it was a recipe only he had. After the meal Caleb introduced himself and asked the young man to tell him some thing about himself. Nevertheless Caleb couldn''t believe what the young man told him. He couldn''t stand from the shock so he sat down on his chair. He quickly connected the dots and understood, this young man Curun?r wasn''t someone that finished his trials and came to him for his final reward. He felt ashamed and amazement when Curun?r told him that exactly like he was able to read his mind. But he couldn''t have any of that right now because he had to think about more important things. He sent the young man away telling him he needed some time alone and he started focusing on the mystery of Curun?r''s origin. Curun?r was Half-Blood Elf. He didn''t even try to understand how it was possible for him to be only Half since it wasn''t actually possible, so he focused on how it was possible for him to even exist since he saw the last Blood Elf die in front of him. He was devastated the day he saw his master fall. It was the most painfull day of his existance. Caleb didn''t even notice the young man was still there until he heard his voice. '''' Sir Caleb I didn''t have any intention of misleading you or give you false hope, even though I ended up doing just that in the end and for that I am really sorry. '''' Caleb saw true guilt on the young man''s face and thought how unfortunate it was for someone with such a pure heart to be born in a '' cursed '' body. He wouldn''t be able to stay alive in a world that sees him as a devil, not without Caleb''s help. '''' It''s fine Curun?r, I am sure the one I am waiting for will appear sooner or later. '''' '' The only thing I could protect that day was my Master''s legacy. Now I have the chance to protect the survival of his race too until the young man ..... No! Until the boy can carry both on his own. * * * TO BE CONTINUED ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Chapter 6 Disclaimer: Nothing in this FF is actually mine except the plot of the story~! This FF depicts scenes of violence and some cursing . '''' speech '''' '' thoughts '' * sounds * * * * Curun?r was inside the castle again. After he left Caleb alone in the dining hall, he made his way to his guest room and disconnected from Royal Road. He had a meal and then connected to the game again without wasting any time. His adventure was finally getting interesting. He got out of his room and went to explore the castle. Most of the rooms where guest rooms similar to his own, only he was able to find a kitchen, a room for alchemy, a room for blacksmithing, a room for tailoring, a room for sculpting, a room for painting, a room that seemed like a greenhouse and lastly a room with a bunch scrolls and weird stones. Caleb was definitely keeping himself busy, but then again, it was expected from somebody that lived alone. Every one of these rooms was much larger than the others and Curun?r could see several projects the vampire had been working on at the same time. Most of them were in the alchemy room which Curun?r left without staying long. The first reason for his short visit in the room was the strong smell of the potions. The second and most important reason, was that you never know when one of these things will explode in your face. Nobody thinks Seamus Finnegan is a cool guy. The sculpting and painting rooms had a lot of projects too and Curun?r got another massive boost on the art stat. The kitchen was a mess and the greenhouse room had some plants which Curun?r swore saw moving so, he didn''t stay long in them either. The blacksmithing and tailoring rooms were kept quite clean and it was obvious they weren''t being used for a long time. It was just not possible to keep a room this big ,so clean when you actually work in it. '' Being here all alone for how many years only god knows, he probably crafted what he needed long ago. '' Curun?r was interested from what he saw in the last room. A lot of scrolls with symbols and letters he had never seen before were everywhere around the room and on some scrolls were some stones with symbols matching that of the scrolls. However, every stone had a different color. There were red, black, green, blue, light blue, white and yellow. Curun?r went to take a closer look, but he stopped when he felt a burning feeling on his skin. '''' If you are interested in Enhancement, you should probably stay away from the white one. '''' Curun?r jerked after he heard the sudden voice coming from behind him. '''' Oh! It''s you, sir Caleb. You gave me quite the scare there. '''' '''' Of course it''s me boy. I live here alone, remember? Never mind that. I have a couple of questions for you if you don''t mind. '''' '''' Yes of course. '''' '''' First of all, do you want to stay in this castle with me? '''' '''' Eh? With you? '''' '''' Hate to break it to you like that, but the other Vampires are not going to be as acceptable as I am and let you live in their cities. '''' '''' Why won''t they? And how come you are different?'''' '''' As to why I am different, let''s just say I have a soft spot for Blood Elves. As to why the other vampires are not going to accept you is because they don''t trust strangers nowadays. Most importantly, you shouldn''t trust them! Recently the churches got a lot more of power and influence. They are scared for their lives so they won''t hesitate to hand you to the churches and gain their favor. '''' '''' If that is true, how do I know that you won''t hand me to the churches and gain their favor for yourself? '''' As soon as Curun?r finished his sentence he felt a sudden chill. He felt the gravity increasing several times and his legs to give in to the force. He looked around and saw everything turn to darkness, it was no different than being in a closed room and someone suddenly switches the lights off. He looked at the direction Caleb was standing and all he could see was his shiny yellow eyes, slowly turning into red-black color and glowing with a menacing light. * Ding *
You are in a state of extreme fear
  • You are stunned
  • Your combat stats reduced by 99%
  • Your mental stats reduced by 99%
  • You are dying from suffocation
'''' Boy, the only thing keeping me sane and focused on this everlasting life of mine, is to see these Gods and their fanatics disappear completely from this world. '''' Curun?r tried to say to the vampire that he understood, that he was sorry for doubting him and that this wasn''t necessary, but he couldn''t get a word out of his mouth. Even the air around him had become too heavy and his lungs didn''t have the power to suck the air inside. The whole thing lasted only for a few seconds, but to Curun?r it seemed like an hour. The darkness slowly left the room and Curun?r had a little control over his body. Curun?r could see new messages that had appeared in front of his face. * Ding *

When he could muster enough strength he stood up, but he couldn''t keep his balance without the help of Caleb. '''' What the hell was that? '''' '''' That... that was about half my killing intent. '''' Curun?r for a moment thought he saw Caleb turn a little red, but he chose to drop the matter. '''' I''m sorry I doubted your intentions Caleb, but in my defense the whole thing looked suspicious. '''' '''' No, I am the one who is sorry Curun?r, I shouldn''t lose it just like that. '''' '''' Never mind that. I don''t have anywhere else to go so I am going to take your offer and stay here. '''' Excellent! And now comes the second question. Do you want me to train you? '''' '''' Train me? '''' '''' Yes boy, you need to be strong if you want to survive in a world where people will hunt you down just for a little fame and quest rewards. '''' '''' If you put it like that then I guess I don''t have any other choice. '''' '''' Good, we are starting now! Follow me. '''' Curun?r followed Caleb to a staircase that was leading them to the underground part of the castle. It was quite the long way down and when they reached their destination, they were on the third underground floor. They stood in a long hallway with four doors on each side. '''' You are going to train in the room behind the first left door. '''' Curun?r opened the door and saw a room with a lot of weapons on the walls. Every weapon was of different size and kind. On the left side of the room were a bunch of scarecrows. Some of them were normal while others had weapons and armors on them. On the right side there were a bunch of big mirrors, one next to another. '''' Since you are still under the effect of the dragon meat bonuses and buffs you got by watching art your stats right now are much higher than any other of your level. We are going to take advantage of that so you can finish the Basic Combat Training Program as fast as possible. Which weapon are you going to use? '''' '''' I''ve never held a weapon a weapon in my life till now so I am not so sure. '''' '''' How about you tell me in what range you prefer to fight? '''' '''' I don''t like long range fights, I prefer to be where everything is close and personal but not too close. So, no long range weapons like bows or javelins and not fist fighting or daggers. '''' '''' Ok, I am also going to exclude heavy weapons for you since you are more the agile type. I think you should start practicing with a rapier and when you build up your strength switch to a longsword. Rapiers are more of piercing than slashing, but have similar length with longswords which is important for you to get familiar with and also are lighter, which is going to help since I don''t have any wooden weapons here like training halls do. '''' Caleb moved and got one of the simple scarecrows and placed it in front of the mirrors, then picked two rapiers and gave one to Curun?r. He moved in front of the scarecrow and started delivering blows. His moves were fast and deadly, all targeting specific areas where he could cause fatal injuries. His moves were also elegant and it seemed like he was moving along with a flow. When he finished, he turned around and said: '''' This is how you use a rapier sword. As I said there is more of piercing than slashing, but it will be helpful since as you get stronger the monsters you are going to fight will have a harder skin or shells with very small areas where you can inflict any damage. Also, it''s going to help fighting against armored opponents like knights or paladins who wear full plate armor. '''' '''' If it''s like that why shouldn''t I use a rapier as my main weapon? '''' '''' Rapiers have some weaknesses like it''s very hard to fight against several opponents. When you fight against many stronger or of similar strength with your opponents you can''t just dodge all the time. Some blows will need to be parried or blocked and rapiers just don''t have the durability to endure such fights. Also against someone very skilled in close fighting like assassins and monks the long reach of rapier that''s used for piercing can become a handicap. Lastly rapiers aren''t used as a single weapon, but as dual weapons with a long dagger or shortsword in the offhand. For someone like you who haven''t held a weapon in his life, mastering two weapons at once is simply impossible. Of course you can practice for years and learn some advanced techniques to counter some of the weaknesses I just mentioned, but in the end only someone very skilled or talented will be able to use rapiers efficiently. '''' '''' Now I get it, so I am going to start practicing with the rapier as long as you explain what''s the deal with the mirrors. '''' '''' The mirrors are here to help you. Try watching yourself perform your blows on the scarecrow. This way you are going to notice if your moves are too forced. Try to use, fast and elegant moves. You don''t need to use all your strength, but just enough so you won''t be all over the place. As you saw after each blow I gave, I was back at the original length of my position. I never let the force of my blows to move me forward and the same goes for slashing, if you slash with all your strength and miss the force is going to move you to the left side while your right back is exposed. '''' If you discover this narrative on Amazon, be aware that it has been stolen. Please report the violation. As Caleb finished talking Curun?r moved in front of the scarecrow and started his training. Caleb watched him for a few minutes and then spoke to him again while he was moving out of the room. '''' With your stats boosted like that for the next 10 hours, you will be able to train without a rest until the effects fade. Once you finish with the training go to the room across this one where I put the old rusty swords and bring as much as you can to the blacksmithing room. Don''t try to open the rest of the doors in this floor, you are not ready to step inside those rooms just yet. '''' * * * Three hours later Curun?r was able to increase his stats by a lot more than what he had when he was traveling across these endless hill ridges and also got a new skill. * Ding *
Passive skill: Sword Mastery is generated
Sword Mastery: Increases the attack power and attack speed of the wielder when using swords. +10% attack power +3% attack speed
Once he got the skill his training seemed a little easier. It seemed the system recognized his new skill and helped him by readjusting his movements a little. '''' Wow, I am so bad at this that the system corrects my moves. '''' Curun?r little by little was able to improve his moves with the help of the skill and the mirrors and after a while he got a surprise. * Ding *
New Stat: Charm
Charm: The higher this stat is, the better your physical appearance becomes. This stat makes it easier for you to get favor in both males and females. It also makes your moves more elegant which is why it''s such an important stat for dancers. If you already have a good physical appearance the stat will rise faster.
Curun?r thought that he didn''t really need a stat that improved his physical appearance since he already had a pretty nice one, but he changed his mind when he read about how it improved his moves and would help him in the future if he needs a favor from someone. Eight hours after he started, he was soaked with sweat and his breath had become much heavier. His Endurance and Sustenance stats had increased only a moment ago and before his training was over they would increase at least once more. He noticed how his stats increased faster when he trained for a long period of time without a rest. His Sword master had leveled up to level 2 and it was half way to level 3. Not an impressive thing actually, skills in the begining where easy to level up. Also, he had the mirror to help him improve his moves which gradually improved the amount of speed and strength he used to strike without getting out of balance, and that made the Sword Mastery skill raise faster. Almost ten hours after he started and his sweat was dripping on the floor making small puddles. His speed had dropped a little, but his moves and strikes were more sudden and unpredictable. The motions of his body that indicated he was starting an attack had decreased by a lot and as he could see his reflection in the mirror, the way he moved looked a lot like that of Caleb. There was a lot of room for improvement though, and Curun?r knew things would be a lot harder once his meal boost was over. He had the permanent gained stats plus his newly gained stats to help him, but still the amount of stats he was going to lose was similar to that of one hundred and twenty levels and that would raise the time needed to finish his Basic Combat Training Program. However, he would be able to get the buffs from art everytime before his training started and that made him feel a little better. Curun?r now in the last five minutes of his training struggled to not lose consciousness. He was moving more because of muscle memory than his brain giving orders. The fatigue of his body wasn''t that great for him to lose consciousness, but for someone who never had done any hard work for so many hours without a rest his mental stress was enormous. He focus however really hard so he wouldn''t lose consciousness and receive even the tiniest of benefits until his training was over. * stab * * stab * * slash * '' FOCUS, FOCUS, FOCUS, FOCUS, FOCUS, FOCUS '' * stab * * slash * * stab * * stab * * stab * * stab * * slash * '' FOCUS, FOCUS, FOCUS, FOCUS, FOCUS, FOCUS '' * stab * * slash * * stab * * stab * * stab * * stab * * slash * * stab * * stab * * stab * '' FOCUS, FOCUS, FOCUS, FOCUS, FOCUS, FOCUS '' The buffs faded away and Curun?r felt his body get a lot heavier. New Stat: Concentration
Concentration: A stat that helps you learn or accomplish things easier. You are prohibited from distributing stat points to this stat, and it rises spontaneously, depending on the avatar¡¯s action.
Generating the Concentration stat it was like the game heard his voice and granted his wish. He got a stat that would help him pretty much on everything. Curun?r took a short rest and then moved into the room across the one he trained. When he opened the door, he saw a room almost as big as the one he trained, but was full of old, rusty and broken weapons. At his feet he found two large bags and a note from Caleb saying to pick as many weapons as he can carry into the blacksmith room. The way up wasn''t that easy after so much training and additional weight. It took him ten whole minutes to pass from the underground area to the castle, but once he was there the first thing he did was to check some artworks and take a look of the garden outside. With newly buffs Curun?r moved to the Blacksmith room where Caleb was preparing the fire in the forge. '''' Ten hours and you already look stronger, more elegant and focused. '''' '' It''s scary how NPCs can notice the smallest of changes. '' '''' Yes, the training went well. '''' '''' Good, bring all these damaged weapons here next to the forge, I am going to teach you something. '''' '''' Are you going to teach me how to repair weapons? '''' '''' In a way, yes. '''' Curun?r took the weapons on the left side of the forge and Caleb took a sword. He put it in the forge and waited. Once the blade of the sword had a yellow-orange color he pulled it out and put it in a long cube filled with water. Once the sword cooled down, he put it on the right side of the forge. '''' You are going to do what I just did with all the weapons you brought here. '''' '''' I am going to do just that? '''' '''' Hahaha, boy you might think it''s easy, but believe me when I am saying it''s not. You have to be really careful at the time you leave the blade inside the forge. Pull it too soon and the color will be yellow, pull it too late and the color will be red. You must pull it out when the color is light orange. Furthermore, every metal needs different amounts of time till it reaches that state so you have to be really focus to not mess up. Once you finish with them you can rest for the night. Tomorrow you will have more sword training and many more things to learn. '''' Curun?r started heating the blades of the weapons inside the forge and soon he realized in how much he had underestimated the process. Heating more than one weapon wasn''t possible for him since they were made from different metal. After a few failure,s he decided to do one at a time and pay real attention to it, and he soon got his first success. It wasn''t as good as Caleb''s but it was really close. His Concentration stat helped him a little and the successes increased. It took a lot of his time, but right before he started heating his last weapon he got rewarded with a familiar sound. * Ding *
Passive skill: Heating and Cooling has generated
Heating and Cooling: Heating and Cooling is a passive skill that helps you determine the desirable temperatures of the materials. Different ways of heating and cooling exist and each of them has different results.
He started heating the blade of the last weapon and immediately his new skill activated. Curun?r saw a bar at the bottom of his vision where he watched a line moving from left to right indicating the rising temperature of the blade. After some time passed a part of the bar changed color and once the line reached there Curun?r checked the blade and it had a yellow color. He waited a little more and saw the bar change color again and once the line reached there he pulled out the blade. The blade had an orange-red color which meant the skill wasn''t point accurate or at least it wasn''t just yet. He cooled the blade and started the process from the beginning. This time he was checking the bar and was keeping an eye on the blade at the same time. His results were better and his new skill reached level two. It took him 8 hours to finish all the weapons, but he was able to gain a new skill and some increases on the Concentration stat. He decided to disconnect from Royal Road for the day and have a long rest. When he would be back, hard training and more things to learn would wait for him. Chapter 5Chapter 7
That''s Chapter 6 folks! Once again, I expect feedback from you. Have fun {[999aag}] Chapter 7 Disclaimer: Nothing in this FF is actually mine except the plot of the story~! This FF depicts scenes of violence and some cursing . '''' speech '''' '' thoughts '' * sounds * * * * * ahhaaa * * ahhaaa * '''' W, Wait, I can''t, I can''t do it. I changed my mind so let''s just stay friends.'''' '''' It''s ok Curun?r, just relax. If you do this will be easier for the both of us. '''' '''' How can I relax when I know it''s going to be so painful. '''' '''' It''s going to be painful because your muscles are so tense. If you relax your muscles, it will... it will just slide in. '''' '''' Slide in? How can it slide in when it''s that BIG '''' '''' Come on Curun?r, don''t make me force you. '''' '''' You are forcing me. '''' '''' You already agreed about this. Take a deep breath and everything will be over before you realize it. '''' '''' No! I don''t want to do this. '''' '''' Here I go. '''' '''' Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo '''' * * * TWO DAYS AGO....... After a good sleep Curun?r connected to Royal Road again. He appeared in the Blacksmithing Room at the exact point he had logged out before. By chance or not Caleb was in the room and once he saw Curun?r he told him to repeat what he did the last time with the weapons and once he was done, to move to the underground training room and practice for another ten hours. Curun?r started heating and cooling the blades with the help of his skill this time and he was able to finish much faster than the last time. Only five hours instead of eight and he was able to heat and cool every blade much closer to the desirable temperature. His skill was now at level three and half way to level four. Upon finishing up his current task, he made preparations for his training. He got buffs from art and the garden and proceeded at the third underground floor. There he again found Caleb waiting for him with a weird weapon in his hands. '''' I noticed that you got the Concentration stat so, from now on you are going to practice with this weapon instead of the rapier. '''' The weapon Caleb had in his hands was a long sword however, that long sword had no sharp edges and it seemed quite heavy. '''' I thought I wasn''t going to wield such heavy weapons furthermore, this sword doesn''t even have sharp edges. '''' '''' This is a training sword and is going to help you improve your balance, your strength and reflexes but also stay focused. Why don''t you try and check the sword by yourself? '''' * Ding *
New Skill: You learned Item Identification
'''' Just touch the blade and say Identify '''' Curun?r touched the weapon and said: '''' Identify ''''
Black Metal Sword Durability: 9999/10000 Damage: 1-3 A very heavy and long sword without a sharp edge made of nearly indestructible black metal. It requires great amounts of concentration to wield the blade. If someone not worthy to wield the sword touches it, he/she will eventually lose his/her life. Equip: You are going to recieve damage every time you lose focus on your training Resistance on moving around Limits: Concentration stat
'''' This.... This thing doesn''t improve any of my stats, even worse, it kind of reduces them and I also receive damage. '''' '''' Exactly! Right now you have more stats than anyone at your level, but you can''t say that you are more powerful too. '''' '''' What do you mean I am not more powerful? Am I not supposed to be stronger and faster since I have more stat points? '''' '''' Not really. What you have more are limits, not power. '''' '''' What is that supposed to mean, you are confusing me Caleb. '''' '''' Just think about it like this. When you walk you use only a small part of your agility and not all of it right? '''' '''' Yes. '''' '''' If you start running you are going to use some more of your agility and if you start running with everything you got then you are going to use even more, but not all of it. The reason is that your stats are actually your limits and not your power. Slowly you do improve, but it takes a lot of years to reach your absolute limits.'''' '''' So you say with this sword I can reach those limits faster? '''' '''' The traditional way is to practice inside the water instead of practicing on land. The resistance of the water makes you use and depend on muscles you didn''t even know existed. The sword has a similar effect since you will struggle to move around and use these muscles, and it also is heavy which is going to make your body reach your strength limits faster.'''' '''' Now I get what you meant in the beginning. If for example I have thirty points of strength and I can use only fifteen of these points ,then someone with twenty five points of strength that can use twenty of his points is actually stronger than me. '''' '''' Yes, you got that right. Now start with the new training and try to stay focused or you will have to rest every five minutes to replenish your Health. When you are done come to the floor above, I will be waiting for you. '''' Caleb left the room and Curun?r started his training. He was able to stay focused for a while but soon....

Curun?r let the sword and sat down. He still had more health, but he had to find a way to not lose health at all. His mind was getting distracted all the time and so after a while he decided that instead of trying to keep only particular thoughts in his mind, it would be better if he had no thoughts at all. He sat in a crossed legged position and tried to completely empty his mind. It wasn''t easy, but he eventually succeeded. He stood up immediately and started his training again. This time it went much better and Curun?r lost health only once or twice in the next hour. Curun?r had already understood the theory of power and limits/potential of power Caleb had explained to him earlier and slowly he was starting to feel it too. In the beginning he thought it was harder to move the sword, but soon he came to understand it wasn''t just the sword. It was his whole body that was harder to move. The feeling he got was that of trying to move in the water, but it was also like getting inside a room with higher gravity. In the water you feel the resistance when you try to move, but at the same time you can''t feel the weight of your body. However Curun?r not only could feel his weight, but he felt heavier too. Three hours later Curun?r had only rested twice to clear his mind and his '' new '' muscles had started to awaken. He tried to keep his maditative state, even when he was hitting the scarecrow and let his body move on muscle memory alone and he got rewarded for that soon. * Ding *
New Skill: You generated Advanced Meditation
Advanced Meditation: You are able to keep a meditative state of mind even when you are fighting. Permanently raise mana regeneration. Mana Regen: +10%
Curun?r was ecstatic. The biggest problem any combat class has is the lack of Mana. If he was able to level this skill at a particular level, he wouldn''t have to worry about using his skills or spending money on mana potions. He had a break to eat one of Caleb''s meals to fill his satiation. The meals Caleb provided him were normal compared to the dragon steak ,but nevertheless delicious and gave him a boost in Vitality and Stamina. Once he was done, he started his training again, wondering in what other ways his new skill supported him. The skill seemed to also help him keep that meditative state easier while he was hitting the scarecrow with everything he had. Without the buffs of the dragon steak, the progression of his sword mastery and increase of combat stats were much slower, however, not the same thing could be said about his Endurance, Sustenance and Concentration stats. When ten hours had past his Endurance, Sustenance and Concentration stats had increased at least by five each. It had been only a little more than a week and Curun?r had increased his stats like no other could in this amount of time. At two weeks time he would be able to finish his Basic Combat Training Program and also learn a bunch of other things. Much faster than others but that was due to the exclusive benefits he recieved from Caleb. He left the room and moved to the floor above. He opened the door and found himself inside a humongous library which was taking up the whole floor. Tens of rows of three meter high bookshelves and thousands of books. Curun?r would need more than a lifetime to read them all. '''' Here you are! I need you to read this book. '''' Curun?r took the book and sat on a chair. The book was about theories of magic Curun?r couldn''t understand at all and most of the text seemed like gibberish to him. Random words one after another. He finished the book an hour later and returned the book to Caleb. '''' So boy, did you get the skill? '''' '''' No, I didn''t. In fact, I couldn''t even understand most of the things in this book. '''' '''' HM... I thought so. '''' '''' You thought so what? '''' '''' Since you are Half-Blood Elf you definitely have some blood affinity, however you can''t use blood magic. It seems only purebloods can use it. '''' '''' How is it possible to not be able to use blood magic when I have blood affinity? Aren''t you supposed to be able to use an element once you have some affinity with it? '''' '''' For the other elements yes, for blood magic no. Blood magic like any other magic uses mana but, in this case the use of mana is similar to a catalyst. The power of blood magic comes from the power of the blood the Blood-Elves possess and once that power is mixed and used with mana you can do blood spells. '''' '''' But I thought there are others that can use blood magic, like some types of Shamans. '''' '''' What you are mentioning might seem like blood magic, but actually it''s not. That type of magic is called sacrificial magic and these shamans you talked about sacrifice their blood to use that magic. There are many kinds of sacrificial magic. There is the kind priests have which by sacrificing their lives they can use that power to heal and cure masses of people or use the power to damage a very strong enemy. There is also the kind which by sacrificing offerings to lower gods or demons you can get power, either its physical or magical. Sacrificial magic is considered the strongest type of magic second only to blood magic, but when the Blood Elves faced extinction the blood magic wasn''t seen or heard of ever since and that''s how people with the little knowledge they had mixed blood with sacrificial magic. '''' '''' So what you''re saying is, half of my ancestry is completely useless to me. '''' '''' What?! Of course not. You can''t use blood magic skills but still, you can use blood fighting skills and believe me they don''t luck at all. The only problem is that you will have to find how to get these skills on your own. '''' '''' Can''t you teach me? '''' '''' Not I nor anyone else in this world boy. The Blood Elves are forgotten along with all their greatness. '''' '''' Then how come you know so many things about them? '''' '''' I am a bit special.... '''' '''' Which reminds me of all the things I want to ask you but never have the time to do so. '''' '''' You can ask me everything you want. '''' '''' Ok then I am going to start with the location. How can a castle and a garden exist in this cave and how come the roses are black and can grow without sunlight? '''' '''' I teleported the whole castle along with the garden inside this cave hundreds of years ago when I decided to live alone. The roses are special and they don''t need sunlight to grow. Actually, they don''t grow at all. Each of these roses exists for hundreds or even thousands of years. I made it so they won''t wither and each of them as the name says represent a soul. Each time I was losing someone important to me, I put a black rose there and eventually the Garden of the Lost Souls was created. '''' '''' You have lost a lot of people. '''' '''' Yes, but it''s already been hundreds of years since I put a flower there and I already mourned for everyone I''ve lost. Any more questions? '''' Well, there are a million questions I want to ask, but for now I will do with one more if you don''t mind. '''' '''' I already said you can ask me everything you want. '''' '''' How come you can eat normal food? When I asked you if you are a Vampire you said yes and less than an hour later you were eating the same meal as me. As far as I know Vampires can only drink blood. '''' '''' Yes, about that..... Let''s just say I am a bit different than the rest of the Vampires but to explain that further I think you must read one of the books inside this library. '''' '''' A book? What kind of book? '''' '''' The only History Book inside this library to be precise. '''' Caleb moved to the bookshelves and took several books which left on the table Curun?r was sitting in. '''' Start with the big one, it''s the book I talked to you about. Once you finish it read the rest, you are going to need them for our next lessons. I will also explain your previous question when you finish with the books, I will be waiting at the Blacksmithing room. '''' Caleb left the library and Curun?r started reading the History Book.
Thousands of years ago the world was not ruled by humans. It was a world without wars, evil or despair. A world without Kings,Lords or Nobles. A world without discrimination over race, size and color. A world ruled by them, The Peacekeepers. Even when the ones that called themselves '' beings of higher purpose '' appeared and tried to corrupt the world The Peacekeepers banished them to other realms, never be able to set a foot in their world again. But The Banished were crafty, twisted and craved for power. There were people that shared the beliefs of The Banished and had faith that one day they would find a way to return. The Banished found the power they so much craved for in people''s faith and with that power they were able to make a connection between the realms. They couldn''t set a foot in their world, but they could affect it by sharing a little bit of their power with their believers. The believers increased rapidly since with the power of The Banished people could accomplish whetever they had dreamt of. As time passed The Banished were becoming stronger and stronger by the faith of the believers and eventually they were capable of giving blessings and perform miracles. They weren''t strong enough to break the barrier that denied them permission to return to their world and they wouldn''t be for thousands of years, but they had the power to make The Peacekeepers disappear with the help of their believers. Their only problem was that The Peacekeepers were strong and the believers would perish if they were to fight them alone. With the power they had, they cursed The Peacekeepers to be vulnerable against the power they and their believers shared, their '' light ''. But the universe couldn''t accept this sudden change and with the purpose of bringing everything back in balance it bestowed The Peacekeepers the power to defend against all '' darkness ''. Even with the help of the curse however the believers weren''t enough to make them disappear. That''s why they had to turn the whole world against The Peacekeepers, and they did once the opportunity arised. The Peacekeepers in the end lost their lives from the hands of the people they so hard tried to protect and The Banished found other sources of power as a side effect from the first war that ever happened. They found each one of them could have an additional unique source of power. These sources of power were love, hate, war, peace, rage, fear, sacrifice, truth, beauty, despair, nature, wisdom, knowledge, the Sun and the Moon. In the years that came the world and its history changed, after all the history is written by the victors. The Banished became the saviors of the world, they became Gods. The leaders of the armies became Kings and claimed their own land for themselves and the ones who followed them. Some of them claimed the plains while others claimed the mountains and the forests. The believers divided themselves, built churches in the name of their respective Gods and spread their religion. At last The Peacekeepers that lost the war were considered the disgrace of the Elven race that had the evil power to control blood. They were The Evil Blood Elves.
The story then continued by mentioning how Dragons who stood neutral were chased and hunted for their meat since it was a source of power. The dragons decided to hide their presence and some even moved to other realms. The story then skipped hundreds of years where a Human was able to unite all races and was named Emperor of the world. One of the greatest powers that Emperor had was to give life to his creations, second only to the power of his imagination. But then the Emperor like any short lived human, died and the union of races ceased to exist. Every race tried to claim more land for themselves and wars between them broke loose. In this pursue of power the Emperor''s creations were named '' monsters '' and were hunted so the races could become stronger. After that only a few other events were mentioned until the story ended like that:
Then the ones from another world came. They are like us, but at the same time they are not. With bodies that can die again and again, only to come back like death never found them. Were they blessed or cursed? Did they come to save us of what is coming or of what already is here? Are they the next Peacekeepers, the next Emperors or the next Gods?

You finished the book Major Events of the Old and the New World.
Wisdom and Intelligence increased by 1
You got knowledge of how the world as it is today came to exist. Wisdom and Intelligence increased by 10
You got information about the Blood Elf race. Wisdom and Intelligence increased by 2
You got knowledge of the origin of monsters Wisdom and Intelligence increased by 5
That was a massive boost in mental stats, but Curun?r was dumbfounded by the information and knowledge he got. He wondered how many people really knew the true history of this world, but most importantly, he wondered how Caleb was connected to the history of the world and maybe his quest. For this to be answered, however he would need to read the rest of the books Caleb had put on the table. He got the next book in his hands and started reading it. It was about mana and its proper use on magic and fighting skills. It had many theories and examples of different uses on mana and it commented on which of them were safe and which were dangerous. When he finished the book he got another stat increase in Wisdom and Intelligence along with a new skill. * Ding *
Wisdom and Intelligence increased by 1
New Skill: You learned Mana Manipulation Mastery
Mana Manipulation Mastery: Ancient form of Magic Mastery. The user has the ability to control the mana inside his body. +10% m.atk +3% casting speed
The new skill looked interesting, but Curun?r couldn''t understand why Caleb gave him a form of magic mastery when he trained to be a fighter. He decided to put his thoughts away for now and continue with the rest of the books. There were three green ones, three brown and a smaller black. He got the black one. The book was about body anatomy and once he finished it he also got the skill with another pair of stats.
Wisdom and Intelligence increased by 1
New Skill: You learned Body Anatomy
Body Anatomy: By getting knowledge of how the bodies of living organisms work, you have knowledge of it''s vital parts which means you can do fatal damage to your enemies easier and faster. +5% critical chance and critical dmg.
Next he read the brown books which it turned out to be Bestiaries. They had information on monsters along with their anatomy and weaknesses. Beside the mental stats, he was able to level up his newly Body Anatomy skill.
You have finished Bestiary of Versailles Vol 1
Body Anatomy level 2
You have finished Bestiary of Versailles Vol 2
You have finished Bestiary of Versailles Vol 3
Body anatomy level 3
The last three books had a lot of informations about herbs. Where they grow, how to dig them out, which are poisonous, which have healing abilities, which increase your stats and how they tasted.
New Skill: Herbalism
Herbalism: Higher level Herbalism can give additional information about herbs.
ONE DAY AGO....... His new skill was almost at level 3 when he finished the third green book. When he checked the time he noticed that fifteen hours had passed since he started reading. Finally done with all the books he stood up and headed to the Blacksmithing room. In the Blacksmithing room, Caleb was waiting him with a bag full of ores. '''' I am sure you have a lot of question,s but I would appreciate if we could do this later when there will be no more lessons for the day. '''' '''' Ok, so what are you going to teach me now? '''' '''' I am going to teach you smelting. '''' Curun?r stood next to Caleb, who was preparing the forge and the tools for smelting. '''' Smelting consists of two parts. The first one is the melting of the ore and the second is the refining of the ore. I am going to teach you about melting first. '''' Caleb put a metal bar inside a clay pot and then placed the pot inside the forge. '''' Melting isn''t something hard to understand, you just wait for the metal to get a liquid form. The tricky part however is that most of the time the ores you are going to find or buy will have mixed metals inside them. For example the metal I put inside the pot is a mixture of pure iron and silver. I chose this particular mixed metal on purpose since pure iron is a silver colored metal and you probably think it''s difficult to separate them. Also, there are ores and mixed metals with more than two kinds of metals so you must have all your attention in the process when you are smelting. '''' '''' The whole process seems to be very time consuming. '''' '''' For the majority of blacksmiths, it is, since they don''t have Mana Manipulation like you and me. '''' '''' What has Mana Manipulation to do with smelting? '''' '''' Just watch! '''' Caleb put the palm of his hand close to the fire of the forge and suddenly the fire became bigger and its color changed several times. In the beggining, it was a normal yellow fire. Then changed to orange and only a couple of seconds later to red. About ten seconds later it changed again to blue and a minute after that it changed to white. '''' I use the Mana Manipulation to feed the fire with my mana and thus make it bigger and hotter. The colors of the fire are yellow, orange, red, blue and white with white the hottest and yellow the coolest. '''' He stopped feeding the fire with his mana and told Curun?r to try it too. Curun?r took a deep breath to clear his mind so he could focus on the task at hand. He could feel the Mana inside him move however he wasn''t able to move it outside his body. '''' Just visualize the mana exit your hand and going to the fire. You already have the power, you just lack the habit to use it. '''' Curun?r tried again and this time he could bring out a small portion of his mana, which he fed to the fire. After a lot of trials and errors he was able to make a small stream of mana that left his right hand and went inside the fire. '''' Good, it might seem a little hard for now, but when you level up Mana Manipulation this is going to be easy as breathing. It seems the silver finally started melting so watch what I am going to do now to separate the metals.'''' Caleb watched for a while the pot and then moved the solid metal to another clay pot and placed it again inside the forge. Then he got the first clay pot and poured the melted metal inside a bar form, where he left it cool. '''' When you are smelting it''s important to check the temperature of the metal with your heat and cool skill. After that you only need to know the melting point of the metals. The melting point of silver is at 960¡ãC and iron''s at 1538¡ãC. I just kept the metals at 1000¡ãC for a while to be sure all the silver will melt and then moved the iron to another pot. Now if you are going to use the melted metal, you put it in a form of a blade and then work it out depending on the metal you are using. If not, then put it in a bar form where you can keep it for later use. '''' '''' That means I need to level my heat and cool skill a lot so i know the precise temperature of the metals. '''' '''' Yeah, but it''s ok since you don''t need pinpoint accuracy. Now let''s step to the second part of smelting, the refining. Metals have a lot of impurities in them and if you forge a weapon or armor with a metal full of impurities, the durability will be really low and there will always be the danger of the equipment breaking. Once the metal melts, you pass the liquid through refining tools which block the impurities and thus the alloy becomes pure. However, you are going to use your Mana Manipulation to do that, since it''s good practice. '''' Caleb then showed him how to pour mana into the now melted iron and told him that the areas the mana couldn''t go through were where the impurities were. He then concentrated the poured mana under the impurities and forced them out of the melted alloy. After that Caleb told Curun?r to try it and continue the process with the rest of the ores.
New skill: You have generated Smelting
Smelting: Smelting is a form of extractive metallurgy and its main use is to produce a metal from its ore.
A few success later Curun?r was able to get the tenth and last skill he could generate without a class. Caleb told him to smelt all the ores in the bag and then meet him in the Greenhouse room. It took fourteen hours for Curun?r to finish all the ores, but he was rewarded handsomely with increases on his Endurance and Concentration stat and some level ups at Smelting and Mana Manipulation. At the Greenhouse room Curun?r learned how to dig out certain herbs and he also tasted some of them which gave him another level in Herbalism. Next and last in line for that day was the Alchemy room where they made some low level potions. Curun?r couldn''t understand how he was able to make potions without the Alchemy skill until Caleb'' explained to him about how heating and cooling along with his Herbalism were enough for him to make them. They spent eight hours at Greenhouse and Alchemy rooms and later moved to Caleb''s study room where they could talk comfortably. '''' Now that we are finished, you owe me some explanations. What is really your connection with the history of the world? '''' '''' To answer that I have to tell you the story of how I came to exist. '''' '''' I''m all ears. '''' '''' Long ago.... Once Caleb started his story a cinematic appeared before Curun?r''s eyes and a text window which was explaining the story.
Long ago, there was an ambitious Blood Elf by the name of Calethas. Calethas saw how the Gods influenced the humans and turning them against them and for that he knew something had to be done. Instead of using violence like others tried, he decided to help the Human race. The biggest problem with humans lied on their short lives. Since they could hardly reach one hundred years, they spent every of their days like they were their last. It was no wonder how they got tricked by the Gods when they offered them power. Calethas thought that if he could prolong the lives of the Humans then they would find their trust in Blood Elves again. Since he didn''t want to experiment on living Humans he chose five dead ones. For months his research lead to nowhere but almost after a year had past two of the subjects showed some progress. They were subject 3 and 4. Calethas had used the strong magic of his race among other things to revive and change them. One of the things he used on them was a spirit. On subject 3 he infused a spirit of a bat and on subject 4 a spirit of a wolf. Their bodies slowly changed and after a while they both didn''t look anything like humans. Subject 3 had gray, pale skin, white hair and some of his teeth had turned into fangs. Subject 4 had changed a lot more. He looked more like a wolf than a human with his thick fur and wolf head. Soon the subjects woke up and Calethas greeted them. The subjects seemed to not remember anything about their previous lives, not even their names. Calethas then decided to give them names. They were failed experiments but still they were alive and now under his responsibility. He named subject 3 by using as a first letter of his name the third letter of the alphabet, Caleb, and subject 4 the fourth letter, Draven. As for a last name he gave them what they both had in common, fangs. And thus Caleb and Draven Fang were born, the original Vampire and Werewolf. They both learned under their '' father '' and lived happy lives even though they were different. But that happiness didn''t last long. Once their existence became known, many Humans came to meet them and were amazed by them but some Humans as if they were displeased by their existence, named them abominations and monsters and tried to kill them. Caleb and Fang were strong and killed the ones who tried to harm them. However, some of their assailants were able to survive and they turned into Vampires and Werewolves like Caleb and Draven. They soon came to understand that their bites were the reason for this... infection. The newly born vampires and werewolves, however were quite different than them. The vampires couldn''t stay under the light of the sun and they craved for blood. The werewolves on the other hand were still humans, but they had the ability to change to a wolf form. The full Moon, however forced them into their beast form and filled them with bloodlust. Soon after, the whole world turned against them and the ones who created them, and that''s how the first war started where the Blood Elves lost and went extinct.

Curun?r was left with his jaw dropped. In front of him was one of the most important figures of this world and he was playing house and school with him. He finally knew why Caleb had taken him under his wing and how come he was the only one who liked him. He could also understand that a part of him was still feeling guilty even though thousands of years had passed. '''' So your master was a Blood Elf and you are the original of your race. '''' '''' Not just any Blood Elf. He was the Blood Elf that created me and my brother Draven and also the Blood Elf that sacrificed himself to create this realm where Vampires and Werewolves could hide and exist in peace. '''' '''' Werewolves are hiding here too? But I thought this is a Vampire Kingdom. '''' '''' Yes, only Vampires live here now. A bunch of things can go wrong when you use magic of this magnitude and the worst thing that happened was the three Moons that exist in this realm. You can''t even comprehend to understand how much it changed the Werewolves. That''s why Draven took them all and left in search of a more suited place for them to live in. '''' '''' I''m sorry, you must miss your brother a lot. '''' '''' I do, but what it matters the most is that he is still alive. Like me, the time can''t touch him. '''' '''' I wonder what he has been up to now. Does he live somewhere alone like you, waiting for someone? '''' '''' No way, Draven can''t stay alone for more than a day. He is a very lively lad and he gets bored much easier than me. '''' '''' So what now? There is a reason you shared all these with me. What is it that you want from me? '''' '''' I intent to make you strong and then pass on the legacy my master Calethas left behind. Truth is you can''t survive without my help. You need to become strong to stand alone in fights because you can''t depend your life on anyone to save you. Also the crafting skills I am teaching you, are going to be really helpful, but at the same time you can use them as mask that hides who you are. '''' '' Standing alone, huh? Exactly how I wanted. '' '''' You have been training and learning new things for two days in a row. I think it''s time for you to take a rest and also absorb all the information you got today, although there is one more thing I want to do and I need you to accept it. '''' '''' What is it exactly? '''' '''' You see this castle used to belong to my master and when he completed a ritual which connected us like a father and son, we became bound to this castle and we were able to leave and come back via teleportation as we pleased. If we perform the same ritual then you will get bound to the castle too, and that way you can come back here if it''s dangerous or if you need me something. '''' '''' I already accepted everything you offered me, I am not going to stop now. '''' '''' Good then let me start with the preparations of the ritual for today. Tomorrow when we complete it we will be father and son. '''' PRESENT....... '''' So for the ritual to be succesful, we need to do that! '''' '''' That? '''' '''' Yes! That! '''' '''' W, Wait, I can''t, I can''t do it. I changed my mind so let''s just stay friends.'''' '''' It''s ok Curun?r, just relax. If you do, this will be easier for the both of us. '''' '''' Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo '''' * prick * '''' See? Already done, I got the sample. But seriously, how can a Blood Elf even if it is a half, be so afraid of such a tiny needle. That''s Chapter 7 folks! It came out much bigger than I planned. Sorry for being late. Have fun {[999aag}] Chapter 8 Disclaimer: Nothing in this FF is actually mine, except the plot of the story~! This FF depicts scenes of violence and some cursing . '''' speech '''' '' thoughts '' * sounds * * * * In the following days, Curun?r practiced his swordsmanship for at least ten hours per day. To his surprise, he earned a little fame. '''' Never hurts to have some fame. '''' The more fame you have, the cheaper you can buy goods from stores or workshops, and you can get more respect in talking or negotiating with NPCs. Furthermore, the higher his Fame is, the less suspicious are the NPCs about him. Additionally to his Sword training Curun?r spent a lot of time smelting ores, turning them into pure metal bars. Along with smelting he also trained his Mana Manipulation and the Heating and Cooling skills. Heating and Cooling was by far his highest level skill, since he also trained it when he was making some low level potions. '''' Let''s see how far my skills have come. The day after his embarrassing moment with the needle, he and Caleb performed the ritual which bound him to the castle. The Ritual wasn''t something difficult or time consuming. In fact, all Curun?r had to do was to stand inside the ritual circle which Caleb produced by writing weird symbols using his and Curun?r''s blood. With a few words Caleb finished the ritual and the letters glowed only to vanish a couple of seconds later, as if they were absorbed in the ground. Curun?r got a message about a new skill generating, which he couldn''t get until he had a Profession, since he already had ten skills. With BaCTP (Basic Combat Training Program) already finished, Curun?r changed his schedule. He had to spend ten hours of reading instead of sword practicing until he finished his BaMTP. According to Caleb he will need it so he can meet the qualifications of learning magic faster and without wasting his SP on Wisdom. Caleb taught him a lot of things and he also gave him information not many people knew in this world. Like how he was able to master magic, combat and craft. If Curun?r wants to master them too, he will have to reach 350 wisdom to learn magic and be able to level it up to Intermediate 1, 700 wisdom to level it up to Advanced 1 and 1050 wisdom to level it all the way to Master level. As for craft, he can already reach Intermediate 1 in Sculpture, Painting and Cooking Mastery(Apparently Cooking is considered art crafting in RR). To reach Advanced 1 he needs 500 art and for Master at least 1000 art. The only problem lied with Blacksmithing, Alchemy and Enchanting because there aren''t any stats affecting them. The solution to that problem was found apparently by Calethas. He was able to create a skill that included all these skills together. That skill was what Caleb was actually trying to teach him. Then, there was also the Tailoring skill, which Curun?r swore to never learn since he had bad memories of his mother dragging him to every fashion show when he was little. His mother is a Fashionista, not someone that follows or believe in trends, but she prefers to be Informed. She is always up to date on her celebrity gossip when it comes to fashion. Of course Karen wanted her one and only son to be fashionable but most of all she liked him wear little no tail tuxedo suits, he just looked so cute in them. She had brought many famous tailors to make suits for him and Chris hated all of them. They demanded of him to stay still while they were making fitting adjustments using pins. For a vivid kid like him staying still wasn''t possible. As a result, he was getting pricked by the pins all the time, which made him fear of anything similar, like needles. * * * Another two weeks passed and Curun?r was steadily increasing the level of his skills and his mental stats. About that time anyone else would gear up and run outside the city to kill rabbits and foxes. Curun?r however, was in the Vampire Kingdom, where the weakest of the monsters were at level 150. He was at the underground library reading another bestiary trying to improve his Body Anatomy even a little. Increasing critical chance and critical damage would make hunting much easier for him. When he asked Caleb where he could get a Profession, he was told that it wasn''t him who would find the Profession, but the Profession that would find him. Curun?r didn''t know what to think of it so he just dropped the matter and continued with his training. The books he could actually read at the library weren''t that many. There weren''t any history or story books and most of the books were advanced skills and magics which Curun?r couldn''t learn. There were enough books for him to finish his BaMTP though. The bestiaries were intriguing, the books with herbs gave him some ideas which he tried in the Alchemy room and the craft books were about different crafting techniques. There was also a book about mana manipulation exercises which he didn''t want to read until now. The book in the beginning stated that someone needs at least Mana Manipulation level 5 to do the exercises. Having achieved that Curun?r started reading the book. He was trying every exercise after reading and understanding about it. His skill didn''t get any significant experience but he could move the mana inside his body with more ease. It was when he finished the book when the long awaited sound finally came. * Ding *

'''' Finally, I am done with BaMTP. The books where interesting, but it can get really boring after some point. '''' He picked the books on the table and returned them each in their right place. While he was walking from one bookcase to another, he got startled by a sudden light that was coming from a bookcase two rows behind him. He moved to the way the light was coming from and soon he found a big old shining book on a bookshelf. '''' Open......Come......Waiting......Now......Fast......Time. '''' He could hear whispers coming from the book, but only some of the words were understandable. He picked the book and sat at his table. As soon as he opened the cover he jerked from pain. After examing it, he found a tiny razor which gave him a small cut on his finger. Before he could do anything to wipe the blood a drop fell on the blank page of the book. Curunir saw the drop slowly getting absorbed and a few seconds later the page was blank again. Then a sudden and stronger light came out of the book which blinded him. When the dizziness left and he could open his again, he found himself in another place. * * * He was standing on top of an endless mirror-like ground. The sky seemed to be so close to him that if he reached out with his hand he thought he could touch it. A few meters away from him was a man with his back turned. He had about the same height as him and was wearing black clothes. He had a yellow-orange light aura around him and a yellow glowing sword in his right hand. If you spot this narrative on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation. '''' I''ve been watching you from the moment you entered my castle boy. '''' '''' Your Castle? Does that mean you are Caleb''s master, Calethas? '''' '''' Yes indeed I am, although I prefer to be called his father over master. You two performed the ritual as well, which means you should see him as a father and not as a master. '''' '''' I guess that makes you my grandfather in a way. So what is this place and what am I doing here? '''' '''' We are currently in the book you just opened. As you know I am dead already and what''s left of me, only a voice really, is inside this book along with my legacy which I trusted on Caleb a long time ago. '''' '''' If you are a voice only, how come I can see you and why do you speak to me with your back turned? '''' '''' What you see is not my form, actually I don''t look anything like that. It''s weird and interesting, I shall say, because this form was given to me by you. '''' '''' By me? How? Why? I didn''t do anything. '''' '''' It''s doesn''t really matter. What it matters is, what is your purpose in life. What do you want to achieve? '''' '''' I want to be strong enough to stand alone, I want to be strong enough to succeed even when all the odds are against me and I want to be strong enough to protect everything and everyone important. '''' '''' A long and thorny path. No one was able to reach this path''s end including myself. Are you sure this is what you want? '''' '''' Yes! I won''t change my mind. '''' '''' Then you won''t mind if I put you to the test, right? '''' '''' A test? What kind of test? '''' '''' The kind that rewards you with the profession you need, if you were to succeed. But if you were to fail, then you have to walk another path I am afraid. '''' '''' I see..... I''m accepting the test. ''''
New Quest acquired!
Candidate''s Test
On the first underground floor of the castle exist the Dungeon Generator. After you summon the lowest level Dungeon possible, you have to face the hundreds of monsters in it. Kill each and every one of them at least once, and prove yourself worthy of the honorable profession. The completion of this quest will open a right path for your destiny. Difficulty: Unknown Quest Requirement:
  • Kill all 500 monsters(0/500)
  • Kill the Dungeon Boss (0/1)
Restrictions: You must complete this quest in the next 6 weeks.
Your Profession changes to '' Candidate ''
The Candidate Profession doesn''t give any bonuses or skills. This Profession will disappear after the quest is successful or it fails. In case you fail the quest all additional to the first ten skills will be locked until you get another Profession.
'''' You don''t have any time to waste, go and I wish you achieve everything you desire from now on boy. '''' '''' Thank you Calethas, If the circumstances make it possible for us to meet again, I will share my stories with you. '''' Curunir infused in a white light and disappeared. '''' Should I have told him that this form is what he desires to become? No, I shall let him walk his path the same way everyone else did. If his fate is different than the rest of us and he reaches the end of his path, then he will know what it is that he saw this very day. However, there is no chance of something like that to happen, especially with his human half dragging him down. On the other hand that also gives him so many possibilities. I wonder, what fate has in store for him. '''' * * * After the light was gone once again, Curunir found himself in the library. He made his way to Caleb''s study room where he found him reading some books. He explained in a hurry about his meeting with Calethas and asked him for what would be the best next action for him. '''' Since you have this temporary Profession you can learn the rest of the skills you need to generate the crafting skill I am trying to teach you. '''' '''' Will I be able to complete the quest in the remaining time? '''' '''' The lowest level dungeon I can summon for you, will be between 1 and 100 level. What Dungeon will be and what level monsters are inside it is completely random. It was made this way with the purpose of getting accustomed in situations of fighting unknown enemies. Spending two weeks to learn the crafting skill and do some sparring with me to improve your battle sense is going to help you complete the dungeon without unnecessary deaths. '''' Curunir could enter the dungeon as soon as possible, but that in a way could make things more difficult. If the mobs in the dungeon were very high level he would not be able to avoid death forever and that means level reduction and four wasted days. If he were to die a lot of times in the end he won''t be able to kill the boss of the dungeon. For the next week he was sparring with Caleb and learned forging and inscribing. Of course during the sparrings Caleb matched Curunir in power.
Forging: The act of shaping metal into a weapon
Inscribing: To mark or engrave a surface with words, letters or symbols.
Modern Enchantment is actually about placing a spell or buff on items. That way of Enchanting, however has a lot of limitations on the possible effects. Ancient enchantment on the other hand was about inscribing symbols on items. Each symbol meant a different word and gave a different effect. After inscribing the item you had to infuse the symbol with mana and the enchanting was done. That was the kind of enchanting Curunir learned. He had all the skills he needed, but he had to level them up to a particular level. Heating and cooling at Intermediate 5, Smelting Intermediate 1, Herbalism Intermediate 1, Forging Beginner 5 and Inscribing Beginner 5. He spent his second week leveling up these skills and on the last day he was able to reach the desirable level of all skills.

You better go and rest, tomorrow it''s an important day for you and it''s better if you are at your best.'''' '''' Yes! These last two weeks were quite hectic. What are you going to do? '''' '''' I need to do some preparations for tomorrow, so everything goes smoothly for you. '''' Curunir said his goodbyes and went to his room. He lied on the bed and logged out. Until now he was an observer and the hunted, but by tomorrow he will be the hunter. Chapter 7Chapter 9
That''s Chapter 8 folks! Things are starting to progress faster! Next Chapter the first hunt! Have fun  Chapter 9 Disclaimer: Nothing in this FF is actually mine, except the plot of the story~! This FF depicts scenes of violence and some cursing . '''' speech '''' [ thoughts ] * sounds * * * * The day of the hunting Curunir was too nervous and woke up early. He decided to help Caleb in the kitchen while he was making enough food to carry with him inside the dungeon. He washed and polished every used utensil and once he was done he repeated the process. He wasn''t someone used in that kind of thing, actually he hadn''t ever done anything of the like, but he needed something to pass his time. When he finished the process for the second time he got rewarded with another usefull skill. * Ding *
Passive skill: Handicraft is generated.
Handicraft: Increase the effects of craft skills by 5% per level Increases attack power with melee and long range weapons. (+3% ATK) Increases attack rower with fists. (+5% ATK)
The handicraft skill was the most important skill for every craft class. Not only boosted the effect and speed of crafting skills but also gave a slight increase on attack. Curunir had a couple of hours before Caleb was ready with preperations so he went to the sculpting and painting rooms. He wanted to get these two skills because they would boost his art stat faster. Additionally when he would travel around the world he could be able to make his own artworks for buffs or use them as gifts to gain favor over someone. He started with Painting since it was easier by far. All he had to do was to draw an apple. After that he also painted the drawing with colors and got the coloring skill too. * Ding *
New skill: Painting Mastery is generated.
Painting: You can draw anything. You can raise your reputation depending on the type of level of artwork you create.
New Skill: Coloring is generated.
Coloring : You can use color on paintings whenever it is necessary. Your skill level rises the more you use different colors. You can extract dyes from grass and flowers.
Next was Sculpting. Curunir picked a piece of wood and one of Caleb''s engraving knives and tried to make a wooden sword. His highly increased stats along with the newly gained handicraft and the excelent engraving tool made it easy for him to curve the wood. He had to make two pieces however since the first one didn''t come out so well. In sculpting you need to keep in your mind the finished form of the sculpture during the whole process or it''s going to come out with flaws. The second time he kept imagining the finished form of the wooden sword. Once he finished he looked at the sword. It wasn''t crudely made like the first one and its surfaces were more smooth than rough. It didn''t matter if the sword was sharp. What it mattered was that it had to look beautifull after all he was making art, not a weapon. * Ding *
Handicraft level 2
New skill: Sculpting Mastery is generated.
Sculpting Mastery: Enhances beauty and complexity of statues. Decreases the rate at which you fail to produce statues.
New skill: Multitalented.
Multitalented: You are a person of many talents. You get 1% additional experience on craft skills (double on crafting subskills)and 2% additional experience on combat and magic skills.
The multitaleneted skill was a big surprise and most surprised of all was Caleb. '''' Multitalented...... I''ve learned and mastered so many skills in the thousands of years I''ve been alive, but no skill such as this ever generated for me. '''' '''' ............ '''' '''' ............ '''' '''' W,Well if you think about it, it''s obvious why it didn''t. '''' '''' It is!? '''' '''' Yes! If you think about it, that skill helps me level up my other skills faster because I am talented. However, someone like yourself who has reached perfection in everything he has learnt, saying you are just talented is an understatement. I think the reason you never got such a skill is because you don''t need it and because it actually belittles you. '''' '''' ............ '''' '''' ............ '''' '''' Yeah that makes more sense than me not be talented. '''' [ A Vampire Original with inferiority issues. I feel like I dodged a bullet right there.] '''' Nevermind that, we have more important things to worry, here take these. '''' [ Yeah, nevermind that for now. ] Caleb handed to Curunir a leather set, a small book, a sword, a toolbox, a bag that contained his food and water for the next 4 weeks and an empty enchanted bag which he would use to store his japtem and other drops. '''' Don''t just look at them. Go ahead, try them. '''' Curunir equipped the leather set. His armor increased by 20 and he also received some minor stats along with the bonus set stat which increased sneaking by 3%. Tunic, Greaves, Boots, Gloves, everything was a perfect fit. The Tunic also had a Hood. It didn''t raise his armor when he wore it but, it could hide his face pretty well. After the leather set he tried his sword. He moved it up and down a few times and checked its balance and weight. The sword was more than decent and its length was about the same as the ones Curunir used for practice. '''' Identify ''''

'''' I could make you something better but, since you are still level 1 there is not much that can be done to make a better sword than this and the increase in damage wouldn''t be that great either. However that sword is quite good and its blade it''s not even sharpened. I thought it would be better for you to do it so you raise your Transmutation a little faster. But make sure to remember that, grinding your sword a lot may increase it''s damage by a significant amount but, it will also descrease its durability. '''' '''' Don''t worry I won''t forget. Now let''s go to the Dungeon Generator. The sooner I leave the sooner I will be back. '''' They moved to the first underground floor where the Dungeon Generator existed. Caleb opened the door and entered the room along with Curunir. They were standing in a small room with a magic circle in the middle and a big crystal. Caleb after doing something with the crystal which probably was him setting the dungeon characteristics, he explained to Curunir some basic things. '''' After I power up the crystal, you who will be standing inside the magic circle will be teleported to the dungeon which is behind that thick wall. You may be teleported inside there but the space inside there will be like a different dimension, so don''t try to get yourself out by digging. The only way to come out of the dungeon is to kill the boss or die. I hope you will be able to finish this quest without experiencing death. Also, the first ten hours are really important because that''s the amount of time you will be having those buffs. Make sure to raise your level before your buffs expire or else your hunting will be more difficult if not impossible. '''' After some time Caleb was done and Curunir moved in the middle of the magic circle. Caleb powered up the crystal and the magic circle started glowing. Curunir felt something like a change in gravity only for a momment and then everything went dark. [ What is going on? Did Caleb do something wrong with the crystal, and why it''s so dark all of a sudden? ] As if the system could read Curunir''s mind, it answered him with a message. * Ding *
You are the first to discover King Scorpion''s Den Fame +250 Every day for one week, double EXP and double item drops. The rarest items will drop from killing the first monster of each type. Subsequent kills will drop common items.
[ So i am already inside the dungeon. Damn, it''s too dark and if it wasn''t for my slightly better vision, I would be completely blind right now. ] Curunir open his quest window to check again what he had to do to finish it. To his surprise the quest had been updated.

[ Glowing King? What does it mean? Is there a mistake on the description of the quest? ] He closed the quest window and sat down on the ground. He couldn''t see well yet, so he gave himself some time for his eyes to adjust to the new environment. Ten minutes later he could see better only by a little but, still it was much better than before. He could see that he was inside a small chamber of the shorts in a cave. Lucky for him there was only one way for him to go which made things much simpler and safer for him since he couldn''t get lost if there is only one way to go. On the other hand, if he were to find himself in a tight spot, he wouldn''t be able to run and escape since the monsters would follow the only path available and find him in the end. Still, he was glad because he didn''t intent to run away from any kind of challenge. He walked slowly towards the interior of the dungeon with his sword in his hand. There were famous grinders in the world that could grind a sword without even watching it. Just by feeling the resistance of the stone against the sword and listening the sound of the one grind the other they knew what to do. H owever Curunir wasn''t anywhere near that level so he couldn''t grind his sword without damaging it. He chose to keep the sword as it was and grind it later if he was able to find any source of light. After he walked about fifty meters his vision became more clear. There was a small source of light up ahead of him. The power of the light was about as much as a light match and it seemed like it was moving. He moved carefully closer as much as he could without alerting whatever that source of light was. A case of theft: this story is not rightfully on Amazon; if you spot it, report the violation. When he was closer he could see clearly what it was. Behind the rocks in front of him, there was a scorpion about the size of a cat. For a scorpion it was really big but, his size wasn''t what cought his eye. The scorpion was glowing a blue-ish kind of light. '''' Observe '''' he said as quiet as he could so he wouldn''t alert the monster.

The scorpion was level 15. It was much higher than him but, concidering the monsters in the dungeon were generated to be at a random level as long as they were between 1 and 100, he was really lucky. He watched the scorpion for some time and noticed that the scorpion moved very fast. The monster had much higher agility than him, he could see it. [ If it wasn''t for its improved stats since it is a dungeon monster it would be as fast as me.......probably. ] Curunir watched it some more and decided against an ambush attack. He found some information on the forums about ambush and sneak attacks. Even though they had increased damage, the attacker had a high chance of getting stunned in case he failed to deliver the blow. Curunir also wanted to see how he would fair against a higher level opponent, after the training and increased stats he was able to get. He moved closer slowly until the small scorpion noticed him. The scorpion turned and in and instant closed 2/3 of the distance between them. Curunir with a strong grip on his sword used a stabbing atk to the incoming enemy. It was too late when he realised his mistake. Curunir never fought against small and agile enemies and thus didn''t know how difficult it is to hit the target. Additionally he underestimated the monster. He thought such a small monster would probably rush and attack his feet. However, the small glowing scorpion closed the distance and when it was close enough it jumped on the now downward moving Curunir. Before Curunir could stop his attack, the scorpion was already at the area of his chest and with a swift move it attacked Curunir''s neck with its stinger. Curunir with a feeling of anger, fear and maybe little disgust grabed the scorpion with his free hand and and tossed it on the ground with an incredible force. The scorpion got a considerable amount of damage and got stunned from the impact. Curunir wouldn''t let this opportunity go to waste and with all his streangth he brought his sword in a downward slashing motion which ended up cutting the glowing scorpion in two parts. * Ding *
You have leveled up! You have leveled up!
The first thing Curunir did was to check his notices and see how strong was the poison the scorpion used.
You received 10 damage!
You resisted a lethal dose of Dark Essence! Resistance to Dark attacks +1% Resistance to Poison attacks +1%
[What the hell? I resisted the poison and I also got bonus resistance to poison and dark attacks. It also seems the scorpion has low defence and offence.] [ I guess the tricky part is, that it is really fast and has strong poison but, since I have such strong resistance to Dark attacks it''s almost impossible for me to die from this kind of monsters.] [ For the first time my Race gave me a crystal clear advantage. ] Curunir placed his bonus stats on his agility and searched for loot. To his dismay there was no loot. Caleb had already informed him that since the Dungeon Generator could only create monsters and not items, there would be no items for him to loot from monsters. He said however that monsters generated from Dungeon Generator gave high quility japtem. Curunir picked the scorpions carcass and placed it inside his enchanted bag. He was about to continue exploring the dungeon when something raised his curiosity. [ The blood! The blood of the scorpion didn''t disappear! ] Even blood would disappear along with the monster in Royal Road, except for the blood that was on the players. [This! Is this japtem too? ] He open his toolbox and grabed a glass tube. The tube had the same properties as an echanted bag or a canteen. It could contain a lot more liquid inside it than a normal tube. He collected as much blood he could and then moved deeper in the dungeon. He continued to kill scorpions after that in a really fast rythm. He didn''t even have to take a break until his stamina reached zero or he was hungry. As he moved deeper and deeper he noticed the level of the scorpions was raising along with their size. Their carcasses also became slightly tougher and with their raised health, Curunir needed one or two more atks to beat them. After a while he also noticed monsters where starting to form small groups. All that together would make Curunir''s work much tougher if only it wasn''t for his increased exp in the dungeon. He reached level 11 after only 5 hours! He also used the glass tubes which they contained the glowing blood as a light source and moved faster than before. [ In the beginning I thought placing my stats on agility would be the best for this dungeon but after coming all this way the mobs have changed. Their carcass is tougher now and they have increased health since they are higher level. They also start to form groups which can be dangarous.] [ At least they are becoming kind of slower, guess because of their bigger size along with the tougher carcass which should be heavier. ] Curunir noted to himself to put most stats to strenght from now on and some on vitality. After another 5 hours his buffs wore off and he could feel becoming weaker. He had reached the end of the dungeon and he could see the teleportation circle which would take him to the 2nd floor.

[ Ten whole hours just for the first floor!] Ten hours to clear the 1st floor of this dungeon would be something absolutely impossible for someone at his level without the huge resistances and stats Curunir had but, since he was practicly a noob when it came to games, it was impossible for him to know that. [ I guess it''s time to repear my gear and sharpen my weapon ] He placed the two glass tubes full in glowing blood around him so he could have better vision and started repairing his gear. After he finished repearing it was time for sharpening and polishing.
You have succesfully sharpened your weapon! Attack+ 10%
You have succesfully polished your weapon! Slight chance to dazzle your enemies
But he didn''t stop there. He took the small book from his bag and searched the symbols on every page. He was going to enchant his weapon so he could fight more effectively. Minutes later he had decided which symbols to use for enchanting. He got a pointy chisel from his toolbox and started inscribing. Once the symbols were inscribed he poured his mana on the symbol until the required mana was consumed.

The weapon''s damage was higher and he also had two additional effects. He prefered armor penetration over higher atk, after all the scorpions would increase their defence as he was going to the next floors. He also increased his Health. The percentage was that high but Curunir had a huge amount of health for his level. He was now level 15 and his health was over two thousand. After he checked his stats to see his progress he moved on top of the teleportation circle and in an instant he was gone.

Chapter 8Chapter 10
Chapter 10 This FF depicts scenes of violence and some cursing . '''' speech '''' [ thoughts ] * sounds * * * * After he moved on top of the teleportation circle, Curunir instantly found himself on the second floor. Even though he moved to another floor there were no changes in the scenery, not that he expected any. Before starting slaying scrorpions again he checked the progress of his skills. Half of his skills had leveled up with the biggest progress on his Sword Mastery and Body anatomy skills. By hitting only the vital areas the Body Anatomy skill increased by a good amount. While checking the progress of his skills Curunir noticed a skill he hadn''t seen before.
Optional Hematophagia: (Lvl. 1: 00%) Hematophagia is a practice of certain creatures of feeding on blood. Your satiation factor, health and stamina rise when you drink blood. Higher level of the skill has faster and stronger effects.
Curunir had forgotten that he was supposed to get a skill once he got a class. After the ritual of bonding himself with Caleb, he got a notice about gaining a new skill but he couldn''t get it yet because he was classless. It seems by bonding himself with Caleb he got one of his skills. Caleb wasn''t a simple Vampire. All Vampires have the Hematophagia skill, however Caleb and now Curunir have a skill with the word ''''Optional'''' in the front. [It''s a good thing I can keep my taste for food. That skill is realy usefull. I was wondering how I could heal myself since healing magic doesn''t work on me. Thankfully I don''t have to learn this lame bandaging skill.] Potions were good for battle if you had the option , but still they were quite expensive. Curunir now all he had to do was drink some blood and he could heal himself. Adittionally he could raise his satiation factor and stamina. [I hope it doesn''t have the taste of blood though.] He once again moved deeper into the cave and not long after he found the monsters he had to kill. The scorpions were bigger and their carcass seemed tougher. Curunir attacked the nearest lone scorpion to test the waters. Dodging the scorpion''s attacks was quite easy since they were considerably slower than the ones at the beggining of the first floor. The main body of the scorpion however was tough enough to block most of the damage. Curunir changed his methof and attacked on the scorpions limbs which he severed after two to three strikes in each on of them. Once he severed all the limbs, he used his sword to turn the scorpion upside down. With his first attack panetrated the bottom side of the scorpion''s carcass and killed the monster. With just once battle he was able to determine the weakness of the scorpion, although he suspected that would change on the next floor. After he connected hi japtem he moved to attack a group of scorpions. The process of dodging and attacking only when he saw an opening on the limbs was quite time consuming. [I can probably endure some hits, although I should be cautious.] Curunir let some of the non lethal attacks to land on him while he aattacked the limbs of the scorpions. After finishing the group and collecting the japtem he decided to check how effective was his new skill and replenish his health and stamina. He got one of the tubes with the scorpion blood and drank a sip. Thankfully for him it tasted like apple juice. [ Not very fond of apple juice but considering how bad it could taste...... It might also change with higher level or if a drink different kind of blood... Wait! Did it just replenish 100 of my health with just one sip?] One sip of this blood was enought to replenish 100 of his health, 10% of his stamina and 15% of his satiation factor! [Mufufufufufu grinding alone will be a piece of cake, no reason to join groups full of annoying people.] Like that Curunir continued slaying scorpions non stop. His level raised fast, after all he was killing monsters with double amount of his level. He decided to only increase his strength for a while so he could kill the monsters faster. He only stopped his carnage to repair his clothes and weapon which eventually resulted to raise his transmutation skill to level 2. It took him only five hours to kill every scorpion of the 2nd floor. On the 3rd floor once again the scorpion were bigger and tougher but slower. Something had changed though, they all were in big groups. Groups of five to groups of eight. Curunir''s Endurance, Sustennce and Fighting Spirit skyrocketed from facing the big groups in continuous battles. Sometimes he even got rewards with str,agi or vit. The time he spent to finish the 3rd floor however was much higher. There were also times that his resistance to dark attacks wasn''t enough to resist the poison of the scorpions. The damage was weak though and in the end it only resulted on bonus poison and dark resistance. Little more than two ingame days had passed but his level had increased by a lot. On the first floor the monsters were between level 15 and 25. On the second between level 30 and 40 and lastly on the third floor between level 45 and 55. After level 15 Curunir only increased his only strength which now was more than double the amount of his agility stat. Curunir however at level 42 was by no means slow. After his huge increase in strength a good placed strike could severe the scorpion''s limb easily and the attacks on the top of the carcass weren''t completely blocked. After moving to the 4th floor he repaired his gear and filled his satiety. He didn''t want to waste all the food Caleb prepared for him and the food also gave him some stats and a little regeneration for a while. He didn''t continue after resting though. He decided to log out and get some real life rest before challenging the next two floors and the boss. The first 3 floors were easy for him but it wouldn''t be the same for the 4rth and 5th floor. Additionally, Curunir had no experience against bosses. Little research before his grand fight would be a must. It''s not like he can get info on the boss he is going to face, the dungeon doesn''t really exist but, he could get some important information about how to fight bosses alone. ~ ~ ~ * * * ~ ~ ~ The next day Curunir continued his advance on the 4th floor. Once again he found some changes compared with the previous floor. The number of scorpions in a group had increased by one and all had now an additional medium size crimson scorpion. After some hard won battles, Curunir understood what was the ''role'' of the additional enemy. It was a ''group leader'' which cordinated the scorpions''s attacks. The damn things even had defencive and attacking formations. It took him some time to learn each formation and how to counter it, but eventually he could handle the groups quite easily. The ''trick'' was to kill the crimson scorpion as fast as possible. He used sneack attacks when he could, to kill it before the battle even started and when he couldn''t, he just dodged and parryed or even getting some minor hits here and there while rushing to the crimson scorpion. Once it was dead the rest of the scorpions went in a confusion state for 30 whole seconds, which were enough to reduce the number of scorpions by one or two. The 4th floor was a higher challenge than he had predicted and it took him two in-game days to finish. The total number of days that had passed until now were four and a half days and he was ahead of schedule by a lot. Curunir driven by the bonus experience wanted to finish the boss before the bonus effects disappeared. He had only little more than two days to accomplish that though. If you spot this story on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation. The 5th floor was nothing he had expected. The monsters on the last floor were all mini-bosses! Much bigger than the previous scorpions he had met till now. They were as big as a horse and each one of them radiated a strong light from its body, result from their much shinyer blood in their bodies. The only good thing at the moment was that they were not in groups. Curunir cautiously attacked the first scorpion. He had a shocked face once he tried to block its first attack. He was thrown back for about 2 to 3 metres and he was really lucky he wasn''t knocked on a wall but on the ground. Furthermore his weapon had lost 5 durability just from that. [I guess I will have to take my time inspecting its every move and try to dodge as much as possible.] Curunir concentrated on every little move the mini-boss was doing, every little habit that indicated its next move. Something like that wasn''t something someone could do from one moment to the next. However he had done boxing in his real life for quite a period and even though he wasn''t going pro, he still had a lot of sparring matches. That plus his enormously raised concentration stat and after half an hour he could dodge almost every attack the mini-boss threw at him.
Achievement unlocked
50 consecutive dodges +5 agility
[Huh?..............] Curunir couldn''t believe what he had seen. After looking for any kind of information on the web about the game, not even once did he come across something like achievements system. The Achievement system was after all a very well kept secret that only some self training freaks knew about. Of couse there was a way to come across these kind of information, but it was very expensive and it was possible only on a certain place and since it was quite expensive none dared to spread this secret, cause it would be a huge loss of money. [This Dark Gamer site... It probably has all kinds of even the most secretive information. I have to find a way to become a member..... asap, as the gamers say.] Curunir didn''t have the luxury to think about the Dark Gamer site though. There was a more pressing matter to think about and that was the miniscule damage he could do with his weapon. After several hits the mini-boss had over 80% health yet. Curunir knew he had outleveled his weapon long ago. Not having any other choice of weapon at the moment, Curunir tried to think of other ways to increase his damage and soon he remembered something he had seen on a video of a boss hunt. He attacked between the scorpion''s carcass parts where it wasn''t that hard and tried to focus his attacks on a single point. It was really hard to accomplish since the space between the different parts of the carcass were quite thin. He barely could fit the tip of his sword inbetween and he often failed to do so. As they say howerver, repetition is the mother of all learning. Again and again he dodged the creatures attacks and countered whenever he could at the exact point he had attacked before. The Creatures Health finally started to drop more rapidly and in the last attack Curunir took the remaining 5% of its Health. It was by far the biggest attack Curunir had ever done. This 5% of health was half if even more of the amount of health a scorpion of the 4th floor had. Mini-bosses have much more health points than normal monsters after all. Like that he handled the next mini-boss and the ones after that. His sword was losing a lot of durability especially from misplaced attacks so he had to repair it after every battle. That only served though on raising his transmutation skill easier and the amount of mana he had to use to repair the sword was tiny compared to his. Curunir was improving tremendusly after every succesful kill and soon he got rewarded for it. After he killed the 10th mini-boss he finally got his first attacking skill.
Cry Strike (Lvl. 1: 00%): A series of increadibly fast stab attacks at the exact same point. Its real name is ''Cryptanalysis Strike'', but later was renamed to ''Cry Strike'' to hide the meaning of the strike and because it usually makes the ones it was used on to cry in pain. Rank: S 1st strike: 110% attack power additional strikes: +20% attack power of the previous strike 2 strikes max Mana: 250
[An S rank skill!!!!] Curunir was ecstatic, after all he just learned a what is known as ''legendary skill''. The amount of mana it needed was quite high but still he had a lot of it to spare. He used his one and only attacking skill repeatidly not caring a bit about his mana. He could beat the mini-bosses without his skill after all. What was the most important thing for him was to raise the level of the skill. There was no doubt that it would be one of his big weapons in the future, if not the biggest. Like that he finished the 5th floor in 2 days. If there is something he regreted was that he didn''t have that idea sooner so he could get his skill on earlier floors and raise it more for the battle with the boss. The skill was at level 4 after continual use with an increase of 10% attack power on the first strike in every level. After a good rest and meal he repaired all of his gear and re-enchanted it since he could do stronger enchants with the increase of the skill''s level. His Sharpening and Polishing had leveled up a lot too. He stood at the entrance of the last chamber. Slow breaths and closed eyes helped him focus and calm his mind. He needed a clear mind for what he had to do next. He was going to challenge a dungeon boss alone and he had to win. Two hours remained before the week ended and his double experience was lost. At this point he didn''t really care about the experience since the most important thing for him was to win his next battle, which was also the biggest challenge he had ever faced so far in this game. He was sure that even if he died the first time, he wouldn''t fail the second. With updated gear for his level and bonus stats from buffs he would be stronger more than 3 times. Winning like that though made him think was kind of meaningless. In the end, the biggest challenge he was going to face wasn''t the challenge of killing the boss, but the challenge of surpassing himself and he couldn''t compromise without doing so.

Chapter 11 This FF depicts scenes of violence and some cursing . '''' speech '''' [ thoughts ] * sounds * * * * Once Curunir entered the last chamber he saw the last scorpion he had to kill to finish his quest. It was a huge glowing scorpion, much bigger than any scorpion he had ever fought and the glowing effect was strong enough to light up the dark chamber. It was the first time in a while that Curunir could see perfectly well. There were huge boulders all around the room, which Curunir took immediately advantage of and hid before the boss could take notice of him. After he was sure he was well hidden he poped up his head a little and muttered his observing skill. '''' Observe ''''

[What the hell! How am I supposed to kill that thing?] Just by watching the boss Curunir knew he couldn''t beat it in a '''' fair battle ''''. He racked his braind to find a way to beat his next enemy but nothing was coming to mind. [Even with Cry Strike I wouldn''t be able to damage his carcass, at least not before my weapon''s durability reaches zero.] Should he give up on the boss? Do a suicide attack and come next time prepared with new buffs and equipment? That would be a waste for him though since by seriously try to beat his opponent he could get valuable information, like what pattern of attack the boss uses or if he uses any kind of special skills. * * * Curunir''s POV I rack my brain to find a solution. This boss is not something I can face head on in a battle and come out of it in one piece. actually that monster could turn me to million pieces and don''t brake a sweat. Wait.... do scorpions even sweat in the first place? I opened my bag and searched for something that could give me even the slightest hope, a little light at the end of the tunnel. Well there is still plenty of food left, not that it can help me in any way. My crafting tools are useless too. At some point at some point I thought of using the sculpting tools to dig and make some kind of trap, like a pit with spikes or something. That would be impossible and useless though. This thing is enormous and spikes can''t bypass his exoskeleton defence so... yeah useless. As for the impossible part... after some research I found out that scorpions can''t hear sounds. They feel the vibrations around them. After some more extended research I learned that scorpion monsters in RR have the echolocation skill. The skill would activate once any kind of vibration accured inside it''s area of effect. I am sure the boss has a high echolocation skill so I try to hide in a far enough place and don''t get noticed. Moving on... There is only one thing inside my tool box. Six little jars with different paint colors. I am watching the little jars and at the same the same time wonder why Caleb would even put them insede. Out of nowhere something like and electric current passes through my body. No my dear readers ( the few who still remain ) I didn''t attacked, it was just a jolt of excitement that came along with a ( maybe ) really good idea. * * * I was finally ready to begin my epic fight. Everything was set and I was really excited. There was only one chance for my trick to work and that was because after the boss comes near me and I enter its echolocation radius, it would be impossible to use petty tricks and distractions. I stand out of my hiding spot ( barely ) and throw a rock at the direction of the boss. Before the rock even touched the ground I was already back to my hiding place. The rock hits the ground and like a flash the scorpion has already turned around facing the direction the rock came from. * SCREEEEECH * The boss dashed with a speed that didn''t fit its enormous heavy body and only 5 seconds later I see the boss pass my hiding place from the right side and only 2 seconds later it.... crashed on the wall with all its force. I quickly move at the other side of the boulder and hide again, out of the boss''s sight. The 2 second stun effect which the boss got from the crash ended and it started moving again. It screeched even louder than before, showing how pissed it had become by the unatural event. The rock I had thrown somewhere at the left side of where the boss stood hit the ground and got its attention. Another loud screech and another mad dash only for the whole thing to come in the same conclusion. The boss crashed on the left wall with all it''s might. The plan had worked well till now and it was time for the last part to start as the rock I threw somewhere at the back of the scorpion hit the ground making the boss do a 180*. This time it ran even faster and collided with the right wall. The cavern shacked like crazy and loud rumble started. Now it was me that is dashing like a mad person to the other side of the cavern as the falling ceiling barely misses me. The stunned boss doesn''t have the same luck as me and it gets itself trapped. After the dust clears I head where the trapped boss is. The plan worked perfectly. Actually it had worked even better than he had planned. I make a note in my head to use such tactics again in the future as long as I am fighting alone or with someone I completely trust. It would be a waste to share such information with others. :FLASHBACK: I got the jars and the paint brush from my tool box. Painting and coloring were still at level 1 so I needed to do slow and carefull work. I slowly moved near the walls and started painting. What I painted on the walls was a humanoid figure with a sword in his right hand. The face was dark, hidden under a hood and the only thing you could see was two big red eyes. He painted the center wall, the wall that the scorpion would crash on in the beginning, last. His skills raised their levels by one and he could do more detailed work. After the first collition the boss would get a little dizzy and probably would''t notice that the humanoid figures were fake so he didn''t mind them not being decent. This story has been unlawfully obtained without the author''s consent. Report any appearances on Amazon. Additionally the boss wasn''t a monster with high intelligence as no monster under level 200 showed any remarkable tactics, unless of course it was a special type of monster with leadership stat like the smaller scorpions on the 4th floor. Then again their tactics wasn''t anything serious, just more cordinated attacks and because of the ''''morale'''' their leader gave, they had higher resistance to mental attacks. I collect 3 rocks and hide again behind a big boulder near the painting on the center wall. I close my eyes and focus. Succeding on the execution of the plan didn''t mean certain win. On the other hand, failing the execution of the plan meant certain death. :BACK TO THE PRESENT: My plan really worked better than I could even imagine. A big part of the ceiling was at the top of the boss making it unable to move from its place. Its carcass was still undamaged but I don''t have to worry about it. Even if the carcass is undamaged, the section between it''s upper and lower carcass had a gap. A gap big enough for me to thrust my sword and do some serious damage.I am not losing any time and while I run forward trying maximize the force of my blow, I use my newly awesome skill. '''' Cry Strike '''' My blow lands perfectly and I can feel my sword going deep inside the boss''s tender meat. The boss however didn''t react at all though and it got me worried. Only to get a relieved face a second later when a window appeared stating I did bonus damage because my opponent was in a stunned state. Not wanting to waste this opportunity I use my skill another two times at the same spot doing enormous damage. The life of the boss had dropped to 70% after the ceiling colapsed on it and with my three well done strikes I reduced it by another 16% dropping it at 54% life. Once again I use my skill but this time the damaged body couldn''t resist my attack at all making my whole arm enter the body and making my attack reach even a deeper. I moved my sword horizontaly trying to do even more damage and hopefully accure a huge bleeding effect on the boss. The most scary thing about bosses is their enormous health regeneration and that''s why when groups of people fight against bosses, instead of using some super duper strong skill which the boss probably avoid or even worse counter, they try to maim the boss by hitting arms and legs. That way movement and dexterity of hands drop and it''s easier to hit the boss. When they finally maim one of it''s limbs the bleed effect counters the health regeneration and the boss dies faster. The last attack reduced another 8% of the scorpion''s life and by slicing with the sword deep inside the scorpion''s wound it dropped another 4%. The life of the boss reached 42% and because of slicing deep inside it the bleed debuff finally took effect. It''s quite strange really, you have to do so much damage just for the bleeding to take effect. I guess this is included to the 1% realism this games lacks? I take my sword out of the boss''s insides and check up on it. Only 10 durability remained and many cracks are visible on the blade. I repair it with my transmutation skill. Really convinient thing to be able to repair your gear during battle just with some loss of mana. Instead of repair it''s more like magic restoration. After all I can repair anything, even magic items which only master or grandmaster blacksmiths can repair normaly. I could make some serious money just from this, not including that I can also use other skills to improve the quality of items. That is the thought for another time though. To be honest, the whole thing feels quite anticlimactic. This is a really strong boss class monster at the end of a really difficult dungeon. No normal person can solo this dungeon, forget about doing it in the amount of time I did it. There was supposed to be some grand battle of fast speed attacks and execution of flashy skills and in the end only the victor would remain in triumph gazing at the lifeless corpse of his dead enemy. I dismissed such thoughts and moved from the side part of the scorpions body to the front. There I start picking up some rocks from the part its head is supposed to be. Upon seeing me the scorpion unleashed its fighting spirit. Nothing I couldn''t handle really but I got to admit it took me by surprise. It seems my image made it resist the stun effect and come out of it sooner. It tried to free itself but the huge loss of life and the bleed effect had made it weaker. Even after it knew it couldn''t free itself, it didn''t stop trying, a good demonstration of fighting spirit, focus and ...willpower? No more accurate to say survival instict. I wonder, will I ever show such tenacity if I ever find myself in its place? Will I be able to ignore the pain and move forward? And even if I do, will I be able to succeed? Survive? What would be my thoughts at the time I watch at the face of my enemy looking at me from above? Spare me? Finish me? Give me another chance? what would be my feelings at such a time? Regret? Rage? Sadness? Weakness? Forgiv......... Fuck forgiveness! No matter how hard I think the answer doesn''t come. I don''t know the answer. There is one thing I know though. Being at the scorpion''s place sucks. A place where all your power is meaningless, a place where what you are is not enough. I don''t want to be in such a place..... Ever. '''' I need to get stronger '''' My words are full of conviction. I know where I stand now. I stand at the bottom of an endless pit. I won against the boss, I succeeded my quest but in the end, I lost against myself. '''' Never again '''' I raise my sword and move forward. Once I reach the scorpion''s face use my skill on its eyes destroying them and reducing its life even further. I continue to use my skill several times untill my mana reaches rock bottom and then, I start using normal attacks, thrusting my weapon even deeper than before, trying to reach and damage its brain and put it out of its misery. Soon enough the boss stops struggling and its life reaches zero. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

.............
Sword Mastery has reached level 10 and has changed to Intermediate Sword Mastery.
Damage with the sword increased by 50% Intermediate Sword Mastery increases damage by 15% every time the skill goes up Mana cost of attack skill are reduced by half. Stat points have increased by 2
Several notifications of level ups appear in front of me, however I dismiss them all and check the skill rank upgrade notification. Who would have thought that you can gain so much from rank upgrading a single skill. The mana cost reduction is the best gain at this point, just from that I can use my Cry Strike twice as much as before. Additionally there was the permanent stat increase. Gaining additional stats is one of the most important things in this game since they give you an important advantage over other players who only gain stats by leveling up. It helps with hunting monsters too. While I am lost in my thoughts over the benefits of skill rank upgrades and additional stats, the scenery starts to slowly change and not long after I am in the same place I previously met Calethas. Once again I can only see his back, he has a different appearance from before though. This one looked cool too, but before I could pay any serious attention over his attire he started speaking to me. (Calethas)'''' Well I got to say this was not the result I expected '''' (Curunir)'''' Are you disappointed? '''' (Calethas)'''' Yes and No! No, because you actually succeeded in your first try. Yes, because the quest was supposed to fail. Well in a way the quest can''t fail, after all whether or not your fight against the boss was won or lost you would appear here and get the class.'''' (Curunir)'''' I don''t get it. Why was the quest supposed to fail? Shouldn''t the whole point be for me to succeed your quest and prove my worth for gaining the class?'''' (Calethas)'''' You would get the class no matter what! it''s the legacy of our whole race after all. You are the only one who can shoulder this fate. If you weren''t ready, we would make you and the point of the quest was to show you that you are not ready. The only reason you could reach that final room was because you had several advantages like buffs, healthy food, tools for maintenance and good equipment to start with. All of these were provided however to you by Caleb. Was it not for him and all the skills he taught you, you would have died on the first floor. '''' (Curunir)" Then, why did you give me time to prepare?'''' (Calethas)'''' To show you that even with that you were not strong enough. Furthermore it''s not like every time you have to oppose someone stronger, you will have time to prepare and even if you got the time, you won''t have the means. You have to become much stronger and you have to gain a lot more of knowledge so you are always ready at a second''s notice. All of these aside, you showed incredible creativity and beat the boss with your mind. You also got an interesting skill. ¦³¦Ï be able to use your head in battle is as much important as what I was trying to teach you by failing. This was the next thing I was going to teach you but it seems you already got that part, so no complains. I just hope you will not relax and get a lazy attitude and expect to solve everything with your mind.'''' (Curunir)'''' I understand what you are trying to say, there is no reason for worries though. I too wasn''t satisfied with myself. I am going to step up a notch my training when I get back and learn more things from Caleb.'''' (Calethas)'''' That''s reassuring, you will have to keep such an attitude in the future. Your path is so much longer and harder than anyone''s else.'''' (Curunir)'''' It will also be more rewarding, right?'''' (Calethas)'''' Indeed. Now, let''s not waste any more time, for completing my quest I reward you with my class. Make sure to not bring shame to it or our race.'''' *Ding*

After I saw the first few notifications I was left speechless and my jaw was probably hanging. I recieved a Slayer Class, probably the dream of every fighting class player. However once I saw the color of the Class I froze. It was a white color Class, which means it was an F Rank Class. Furthermore it had a huge downside of locking my level, after of course reducing it back to level 1. In the research I did before I started playing RoyalRoad I got information about the ranking system of classes, weapons and skills. When it comes to classes their rank goes from lowest to highest like this: F / E / D / C / B / A / S /SS . The same ranking system exist for skills with the difference that any skill below B rank appear in white color like F rank skills. Any skill between F and C rank can reach at best Advanced 10. With some very difficult quests you can unlock a greater version of the skill and reach Master 10. The skills from Rank B to Rank SS however can reach GrandMaster 10 which is the highest level of skill without any necessery quests. After all it is really hard to get them. There were a lot of high level players mentioned with A and S level skills, but only a handfull with SS and only one with two SS skills. The most surprising thing was when I check how many of them had reached GrandMaster 10. The result was... none. In Fact the highest among them was Master 9. High rank skills are very difficult to level up because they need a lot of mana to use, which is usually more than half of the player''s mana or special requirments for their usage, like very big cooldown or special ingredient for each use or even sucrifice an item. Another reason for the slow leveling of skills, is that players get a lot of skills as they level up and it''s bad for a player to focus only on two or three skills while he/she neglects the rest. Lastly, when it comes to weapons the ranks are a little different. They start from lowest to highest like this: Common / Uncommon / Superior / Rare / Unique / Epic / Artifact / Legendary . Most weapons you see nowdays are from Unique to Artifact. After 40 years in game time, everyone got good gear from the high level bosses and skilled blacksmiths. As for the Legendary equipment.... not many choose to have in their possessions such an item. Once someone get something like that in their hands they become targets of PKers or enemy guild players. Once you are in war with a guild, their members can kill each other without pk penalty and the losers usually drop an item or two from their inventory. Standing there frozen for more than a minute, Calethas got little irritated. [Calethas] '''' Hey boy, aren''t you gonna thank me for my amazing gifts? I even gave you a couple of really usefull items. '''' [Curunir] '''' Items? You gave items? I am sorry I just froze after I saw you gave me an F Rank Class and my level got reduced and locked at 1. '''' [Calethas] '''' Seriously? You didn''t check the rest, like your amazing skills? C''mon kid do you think that someone like me would have ''JUST'' and F rank class? '''' [Curunir] '''' But the restric-'''' [Calethas] '''' Listen! I know what you probably are thinking but let me say beforehand that the level lock is just temporary and as for your class, it''s an evolving one. I would like to explain more but your time is up. You will be soon back in the dungeon. Make sure before you leave from there to check all your new skills and class. Remember! Your path is harder but as you mentioned so much more rewarding too! I hope we can meet again in the future if the circumstances allow it. Before I could even complain the scenery started to change once again and in mere seconds I was back in the dungeon next to the dead Glowing King. I took deep breaths to clam myself and after that I decided to check my new skills and class as Calthas advised me. The story has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation. The skills were..... Cheats. The active ones had really high mana cost and if it weren''t for his newly upgraded sword mastery the cost would be double the amount. There were no active damage skills as he hoped but all the effects from the skills he got were awesome, as expected really from B, A and S rank skills. He guessed the ritual skill was what he needed to unlock his level up and possibly evolve his class. After checking all of them he had a lot of questions, like what is the Slayer Community or what was that Hemophobia stat. He also wondered what was the difference of the Blood Gathering skill with how he gathered the scorpion blood untill now. He wouldn''t be wondering for long however as he took an emty vial out and used the skill. [Curunir]'''' Blood Gathering '''' Like magic the blood from the Glowing King started to float and move inside the vial. Only five second later the vial was full. That saved a lot of time since he had to practicly put the vial close to a wound a wait for the dropping blood to full the vial. Also normaly he couldn''t collect blood that was dropped on the floor. But like that he had finished the job in only five seconds and as he understood when the skill reached higher levels he could gather more than one vial. Not that he would need it really since his vials were enchanted and could fill 5l of blood. After checking the blood in the vial for a while he decided to check another skill of his. This time he didn''t have to active any skill since Optional Hematophagia was a passive skill. He put the vial close to his lips and took a big sip. The taste was a little different from the previous scorpion''s blood. It had a taste of light red wine that could get you addictive. Lost in the taste the blood left in his mouth he almost forgot about the results. He dismissed the notification about his full stamina and checked the second one.
You have recieved Glowing King''s partial power Glowing King:+ 4str +2agi +5endur +2FS +4vit +1hp/10s +1sta/10s
As the skill said he got bonus stats, even if they were partial, probably because of his low level skill. The blood of the high level boss however gave him enough experience and his skill leveled up to 6. With all his skills checked it was time to assess the damage in his stats. He didn''t lose any permanent stats and that was something that reassured him he didn''t waste any of his time. Levels was something he could get back, but the permanent hard gained stats was something he wouldn''t forgive if someone was to take them from him. [Curunir]'''' Open Status Window ''''

Curunir was nothing but impressed with his stats. Sure they were quite lower than before, but his stats right now were all hard gained stats along with some permanent stat gains from food, skills, etc. Thinking back how weak he was at level 1 it changed his mood for the better. These stats were his advantage over the players that chose to only level up as fast as possible, neglecting any kind of training. He was stuck at level 1 so the only thing he could do right now was to go back to Caleb and ask for some advice on how he should proceed with his training from now on. He put everything in his inventory and moved at the top of the teleportation circle. The space distorted and the next moment he was standing outside of the Dungeon Generator. He wanted to go and see Caleb and tell him everything that happened, but he thought it would be for the best if he took some rest in the real world along with a hot bath and a nice meal. Nothing would change untill he was back he thought.

Chapter 13 This FF depicts scenes of violence and some cursing . '''' speech '''' [ thoughts ] * sounds * * * * It was evening and Chris was sitting on the sofa of his living room watching TV. One of the gorgeous maids had a snack made for him and served it at him. {Maid1} '''' Sir, I don''t remember the last time I saw you watching something on TV, this is a very rare occasion. '''' {Chris} '''' There is going to be an announcement today about the 10th anniversary or RoyalRoad. As you probably already know, I started playing not long ago and I try to stay updated. If I am not mistaken you play the game too right? You can watch with me if you like. '''' {Maid1} '''' I would really like to sir, but there are a lot of things to be done before the day ends. I will be informed about any news later from friends. If you don''t need me anything else I will take my leave and let you enjoy your snack. '''' {Chris} '''' I am ok, you may go. Make sure to get informed later, a lot of interesting things are going to happen from now on. '''' As the maid took her leave the program Chris was waiting for started. He raised the volume a little and all of his attention turned to the announcer. {Announcer} '''' Good Evening my dear viewers! This is GRR (Global RoyalRoad) and today we have a special guest with us. Please welcome UNICORP''s representative Mr. Richard Omens. Hello Mr. Omens! '''' {R.Omens} '''' Hello Tania! I ''ve got to say it''s an honor for me to be here. GRR is the undesputed No 1 program when it comes to programs dedicated to RoyalRoad. Thank you for having me. '''' {Tania} '''' Thank you for you kind words Mr. Omens, we also are really excited here in GRR for what news you can share with us as a representative of the most succesful company ever existed. The 10th year anniversary of RoyalRoad is around the corner and the world can''t wait for the new additions in the continent of Versailles , the new adventures, challenges and myths.'''' {Mr.Omens} '''' It is as you said Tania. In this year anniversary of RoyalRoad, like any other anniversary we will release a new patch. This patch however will be quite special since UNICORP wants to thank all the RoyalRoad players and fans for their continuous support which places this virtual world a step closer to perfection. So I guess I am going to start with the first of the many changes and additions of this new patch which you probably already expected. There will be a new level cap for the players and NPCs. The current level cap is set at level 900 as you already know. After the patch is applied the level cap is going to increase to 1200! '''' {Tania} '''' 1200? There is an addition of 300 whole levels. As you said before we kind of expected a new level cap since the top players are very close to reaching it, but we never expected here in GRR that the level cap would increase by 300 levels. All our annalists said the cap would be 50 or 100 levels higher. '''' {Mr.Omens} '''' That''s why I said, it''s a special update patch. New quests, monsters, cities, dungeons, equipments and skills for the next 300 levels are already made and tested. '''' {Tania} '''' That''s amazing news! We will make sure to talk more about this later but, for now let''s move on to the next thing in the list. What else can you share with us? '''' {Mr.Omens} '''' Well the next thing in the list are the '' World Bosses '' . '''' {Tania} '''' World Bosses? '''' {Mr.Omens} '''' They are new kind of much stronger bosses. To kill them you will need more than just a guild or two. Their stats will be about three times of that of normal bosses of the same level except their Health and Mana which will be at ten and five times respectively. Another special thing about them is their immunity to damage to any enemy with level difference over 50. Also the so called enemies will get a hex after they try to damage the world bosses which will turn them to stone for the next six hours. The hex can''t be cured by anything and anyone. Since the World Bosses appear from level 1 to level 1200 all players will have a chance to go against them if they are willing to. '''' {Tania} '''' What is the reason behind those restrictions? '''' {Mr.Omens} '''' I had a feeling you would ask me that Tania. You see the rewards of killing a World Boss will be quite higher too. The loot is of higher quality and also the drop rates are higher. For this very reason we feared that the strongest guilds will monopolize the World Bosses and the lower level players wouldn''t be able to experience the World Boss hunt. Even a level 1 World Boss can drop something so amazing even a level 500 or 600 will want. '''' {Tania} '''' Such drops just by a level 1 boss? What stops the higher level guilds from putting some low level players kill the low level World Boss and then claim the rewards from them? There are also thief classes that can steal them right? '''' {Mr.Omens} '''' Firstly, to kill even a level 1 World Boss you will need thousands of level 1 to level 51 players. Not really easy to do so 10 years after the release of the game. Secondly, even if they could actually ''employ'' such a number of players the developers put another restriction. The drops will be claimed only by the group with the highest damage done to the World Boss. The drops then will be able to be used by them and only them. That way the economy is not going to take a hit too. '''' This content has been misappropriated from Royal Road; report any instances of this story if found elsewhere. {Tania} '''' The developers have really thought about everything, haven''t they? The lower level guilds will have a shot on climbing up the ladder or even compete for the top place. '''' {Mr.Omens} '''' That''s quite right Tania, items dropped from a 600 level World Boss can be used until level 800-850 easily. If a guild can claim a lot of these items, competing with higher level guilds will be possible. '''' {Tania} '''' By this point we get several messages from viewers that show how much they support this update! Most messages however mention or should I say foresee the downfall of Ultras Guild, the guild that is considered by many the strongest guild right now. Such thoughts are expected to be honest, after all Ultras is a guild made by ''quality'' players that focus more on recruiting only the most promising players. The total number of members is around 50 but that is with all the NPCs they got for manual and paper-work. The actual number of players is less than 30. For their guild it''s impossible to try and kill a World Boss.'''' {Mr.Omens} '''' I am not going to comment on what are their chances. Whatever is going to happen I just hope it''s going to be interesting. '''' {Tania} '''' I understand that as a representative of UNICORP you can not take a side or show favorism, so I am going to ask you what else this update stores for the players. '''' {Mr.Omens} '''' Well there will be some other minor changes which the players will probably find soon once the update is done so, I am only going to say that you all should be ready for fashion week. '''' {Tania} '''' That''s pure torture! It kind of makes me wish I didn''t know at all. '''' said the announcer raising her hands in the air while trying to make a silly face at the same time. {Mr.Omens} '''' Ha Ha, that is a reaction I actually expected from someone as fashionable as you Tania. I guess I should give you something else to look forward into, to make it up to you? '''' {Tania} '''' I will not say No, to such a kind gesture. ''''[th_117_.gif] {Mr.Omens} '''' On the day of the anniversary a World Tournament is going to be held. On that day, every player will get a magic scroll in their inventory which after usage will teleport the player on the place the Tournament will be held. Of course participation on the Tournament is not mandatory and everyone will be able to watch the fights for free. '''' {Tania} '''' That''s really exciting! A Tournament which everyone can join. Until now these kinds of events had an entrance fee, short notice and short registration period. Many players lost the opportunity to join because they couldn''t travel to the place the Tournaments were held. With this magic scroll however that problem is solved. What will be the rewards of this event? I think pretty much everyone expects some huge reward. '''' {Mr.Omens} '''' Truth to be told even I don''t know about the rewards or the rules of the Tournament. The developers have a lot of good ideas about the Tournament but they can''t decide what is the best out of all of them. That''s why in the end they agreed to use more than one idea for the Tournament. Which of their ideas they are going to use and what will the rewards be, maybe even they don''t know yet. It will be a big surprise for anyone I think. I suggest to all players to not lose this chance, after all it''s a once in a decade opportunity. Also the fact that some high level NPCs will be there too, makes this even more worthwhile. You never know when a good quest is going to turn up. '''' Chris kept watching for a little more the exchange between UNICORP''s representative and the announcer before closing the TV and heading to his big sized room. Once there he took a hot bath and changed in the appropriate attire to go out for a drink in one of the overcrowded clubs he usually went. He remembered what transpired earlier in the day when two unexpected visitors stopped by his place. Inside his silver Bugatti, Chris was heading to the determined destination where he would let off some steam and have some fun. He wanted to do and enjoy things he usually did in the past in case he would feel he is missing any of them in the near future. By tomorrow his life would change radically.
Chapter 12Chapter14
--------------------------------------------- I know this is not the kind of chapter you probably expected but I really need to put some plot in my story and introduce new characters. I promise next chapter will come out soon. Enjoy and don''t forget to rate later ---> here Chapter 14 This FF may depict scenes of violence, maturity and some cursing . '''' speech '''' [ thoughts ] * sounds * * * * .:Flashback:. After a long rest I woke up and took a shower. I dried my hair and wore a set of clean clothes. I sat in front of my desktop and searched the net for information regarding my class and any other class, evolving or not that might had the same leveling restrictions as mine. *Knock* *Knock* My search was stopped short before I could find anything usefull. {Maid2} '''' Young Sir, are you awake yet? '''' {Chris} '''' Get in! '''' {Maid2} '''' Young Sir, there are some guests downstairs saying they want to talk to you. I told them to take a seat at the small meeting room while I was coming to check if you were available. '''' {Chris} '''' I don''t remember having an appointment with anyone nor expecting any body to pay a visit anytime soon. Who are those guests and what do they want from me? '''' {Maid2} '''' I didn''t get their names but they said they are from UNICORP. '''' {Chris} '''' ..........Tell them I am going to meet them soon. '''' Chris had no clue as to why would people from unicorp pay him a visit. He turned off his computer and headed downstairs. Once he entered the meeting room he saw two men in suits sitting in one of the couches enjoying their hot coffee. {Chris} '''' Hello gentlemen. I was informed you require my presence, not that I can imagine for what reason whould representatives of UNICORP pay me a visit. '''' The two men stood up and exchanged handshakes with him. {???} '''' Before we talk about the reason of our visit please let us introduce ourselves. This is Dexter Miles and he is my assistant. '''' {Dexter} '''' Nice to meet you Mr.-'''' {Chris} '''' Please, call me Chris Mr Miles. I am too young to be called a mister, it feels uncomfortable. '''' {Dexter} '''' Nice to meet you Chris, plase call me Dexter. '''' {Chris} '''' Nice to meet you too. '''' {Richard} '''' And I am Richard Omens, representative and public figure of Unicorp. Thank you for welcoming us even though we came without any notice. Please call me by my first name too. {Chris} '''' Nice to meet you Richard. Let''s have a sit. Greta, please serve me a coffee too. '''' {Greta} (Maid2) '''' At once Young Sir. '''' After the maid served him his coffee she left the room and closed the door behind her so they could speak in quiet. {Richard} '''' Chris the reason or should I say reasons for our visit are some of your latest achievements which include getting a not previously existing evolving class, gaining the title of Peacekeeper and last but not least finding a high rank quest. '''' The man had took all of his attention just with one sentence. It was only yesterday he took the class and the title, yet these people only in 1/3 of a day had found his information and paid him a visit at his home. What was so important about his class, title and quest for them to move so extremely. {Richard} '''' As you probably know, we swear utmost secrecy on our users identity and we wouldn''t try to exploit or leak any kind of information. '''' Chris just made a nod at that. {Richard} '''' The only people that know your in-game identity at this very moment are me and my assistant. '''' {Chris} '''' And i would like it if it remained like that. In fact it would trouble me a lot if people learned that I played Royal Road at all. '''' The two men made a slight nod each. {Richard} '''' Chris, at this point I don''t how else to say it but, your achievements will have catastrophic consequences on the future of Royal Road.'''' {Chris} '''' Catastrophic consequences you say? '''' {Dexter} '''' If you like I can explain everything in detail. '''' {Chris} '''' Please do! '''' {Dexter} '''' Let''s start with the quest. The A rank quest you have unlocked is a quest that can not be accomplished by players. The quest was designed for an NPC and can only be accomplished by that NPC. '''' {Chris} '''' If that''s the case then how come I was able to unlock it in the first place and why only an NPC can do it? '''' The assistant looked at his boss as if gaining approval for answering his question. Richard made a nod after a light sigh. {Dexter} '''' As you know the Blood Elf race is not available yet and it isn''t supposed to be available for a very long time. After certain events we were going to unleash a Blood Elf in the game who would take a LAST BOSS role. After the player eventually defeating that LAST BOSS, a new expantion of the game would be released. After that Blood ELf made it to Caleb it would take the quest''s first part. Hearing Caleb''s side of the story would take the second part. Eventually meating Draven would get the third part, although for that a series of other chain quests should be successfully finished. The forth and last part is the tricky one. To gain that part, the Blood Elf has to travel to the realm of Gods and meet Hel in Helheim. There he will get all the information he needs to finish the quest and decide not only to ''avenge'' but also protect the rest of the world from these fake Gods and their dogs, even if it actually ment to go against the very same people he was tryng to protect. Hel is a God that hates all the other Gods and she wouldn''t mind falling if it ment the rest of them would fall with her. For various reasons we made impossible for players to get access to the God realms and that''s why you can''t finish this quest. '''' Chris was taking in all the information silently. He really needed a crazy amount of time to finish such a quest and he wasn''t sure if he wanted to commit to something as that. In a way not bothering to finish that quest is something that pleases him. {Dexter} '''' Before he would literally go against the world he would use his title as Peacekeeper to find strong allies and make a group that would assist him on his fight. This NPC was designed to appear overpowered from the beginning and along with its special Blood Sage class he would become the ultimate LAST BOSS which would take at least a year for the players to beat and I say beat and not kill because In the end the Gods are breaking the barrier between realms and they then kill him along with his group. After that the Gods are going to make their intentions known, which is to control everyone with their iron rules. This is also the point where the world along with the players understand that they picked the wrong side. Before The Blood Elf leaves its final breath however he opens a portal which leads to other worlds and it''s not accessible to the Gods. '''' {Chris} '''' I guess this is where your new expantion comes! '''' {Dexter} '''' Exactly! Traveling and achieving things in other worlds players can get stronger in the world of Versailles by gaining new skills, items, pets, stats and many other. These worlds are their hope for defeating the Self-proclaimed Gods.'''' {Chris} '''' I see...... In few words, with my decision to start with my current race I wasted a lot of time and effort of your developers.'''' {Dexter} '''' ............Yes. '''' Before the situation became awkward Richard decided to take part again in the conversation. {Richard} '''' The important thing right now Chris, is that we need your help. '''' {Chris} '''' My help? How can I help you? I am a powerless low level character that can''t actually level up because of his class. '''' {Richard} '''' Yes, that class..... It was actually made by the AI, probably it tried in its own way to fix the damage that was done. This class is completely unknown to us and these restrictions are really troublesome. '''' We plan however to help you as much as we can so you can take that role of the LAST BOSS and launching that new expantion normally. There is nothing we can do about your class and we can''t actually help you find allies that will become Peacekeepers and assist you, we can on the other hand to help you with the quest. Since we can''t delete anything in the game, our developers are going to create a book that contains all the information needed for you to finish the whole chain quest and get some rewards. '''' {Dexter} '''' We can''t really show such favouritism to a player but considering the circumstances and the fact you are not going to level up even once because of your class, it makes this rather ''acceptable''. '''' {Chris} '''' Still, this won''t be enough. I don''t know what I am going to get by solving this quest but there is no way it will be enough for me to become an over-powered boss and sorry for saying this but I didn''t agree on help you yet. What is it in for me? The things you are asking me to help you with, are even more impossible than the quest. Additionally, I imagine you want all that to happen in a certain period of time, right? And I am sure even if I was inside your game 24/7 what you ask me would still be impossible. '''' At what I said they both got a small shock, Dexter little more that Richard. His face changed almost immediately to one of someone that seemed he just remembered something he had previously forgotten. This novel''s true home is a different platform. Support the author by finding it there. {Dexter} '''' We of course have in a mind a contract for your services with a huge amount of money as compensation, we could get in the details la- '''' {Chris} '''' Do I look like someone desperate that needs to work like a slave for money? '''' {Dexter} '''' I am sure we can find something t- '''' {Richard} '''' Dexter stop it! '''' {Dexter} '''' W-What? But w- '''' {Richard} '''' Just stop! You took it all wrong. What Chris here is trying to say is that he is not going to help us, because what we ask is more like a boring chore. The reason people play Royal Road is to have fun and some of them because they want to make a living by playing a game. Chris here doesn''t really need money and whatever else we might offer, he can probably buy it. So if I am right ,what you really want from us in exchange for helping us is, to make it more... fun? easy?unique? adventurous? mysterious? something else? '''' {Chris} '''' How about all of the above? '''' {Richard} '''' And how do you suggest we do that? '''' {Chris} '''' Give me early access to those ''new worlds'' before the release of the new expantion. '''' {Dexter} '''' You can''t be serious! something like that would be....... '''' {Richard} '''' Done! {Dexter} '''' What!? '''' {Chris} '''' That seemed kind of easy to be honest. You are not lying to me, are you? '''' {Richard} '''' At this moment only three new worlds are finished. We will get you access to them. When more are ready your capsule is going to update the data. However don''t misunderstand. Giving you access doesn''t mean you are going to become overpowered. Whatever rewards you get to take with you from these worlds back to the world of Versailles they will be according with what you were able to accomplish inside these worlds. In some of them stats, skills, levels, gear and pets may don''t matter at all and on others they might be everything. '''' {Chris} '''' I still think you agreed too easily. What''s the catch? '''' {Richard} '''' It''s not really a catch, you can even concider you get something really amazing out of this, something none has ever tried. '''' {Chris} '''' And here i thought we were becoming friends Richard but you want me to become your newest guinea pig. '''' {Richard} '''' HaHa. You are indeed sharp. It''s true that it''s not 100% tested but there will be no danger to your health. '''' {Chris} '''' I will decide if I believe you only after I hear it. '''' {Richard} '''' Something that the masses don''t know is that, UNICORP actually recieve data with the condition of the body of our users. This data helped us to improve on a lot of areas and one of them is how to be able to stay in capsule for long periods of time, like in a hibernation state in which we can actually train the body. The amount the body is trained is only a small portion of the one you train in the game. That way someone not only can get fit, stronger, faster, etc but also learn skills like: sword fighting, swimming, parkour and many other even more dangerous things. '''' {Chris} '''' That sounds ..... like good Fiction. '''' {Richard} '''' I know it sounds crazy but it is real. The only thing we don''t know is if there is a limit on how much you can improve, either being physically or in skill. The capsule also has the additional option of connecting to the internet, so even if you stay inside the game for long periods of time, you won''t be cut from our world. In the future, when the time comes for the big event, a special team whose personnel is yet unknown for now, will be able to assist you by connecting to your capsule and walk you throughout the whole thing. '''' {Chris} '''' I am not going to call you a liar, but I am not going to believe it unless I see it with my own eyes. '''' {Richard} '''' Then my job for now is done. By tomorrow morning your new and improved capsule can be delivered. Once the installation is done we can continue with you signing a contract which I will have ready by tomorrow. Everything we promised will be given to you in exchange for helping us and of course for keeping what we discussed or everything that we might discuss in the future concerning the game, a secret. Is that fine with you? '''' Chris pondered for a while. Was that all he wished for? He could ask much more from them. His mere existance in the game might wasted precious time and data but none of it was his fault. He didn''t brake any rules in the game or any terms of agreement for players. {Chris} '''' If you can add one more little thing in the contract, then I will agree to sign it. '''' {Dexter} '''' W-We accept! Whatever it is we accept! '''' {Richard} '''' Dex please behave yourself. What is this little thing you want to add Chris? '''' {Chris} '''' I want to get information on the future events or updates before they are announced to the public. I am not going to deny the personal advantage but I got to say it can also help me find individuals to join my side. It will be much simpler to know about when and where a tournament is going to take place where usually talented people can be found, than searching all around the continent looking for some chosen one. I will mostly only participate in tournaments, since I also need fighting experience against other players. '''' {Richard} '''' I accept if you agree to give some feedback on our events. UNICORP employees are not permited to play the game. It is an iron rule in our company and whoever needs the job knows better than breaking that rule. This has the downside of, us not really knowing what our players like or dislike the most. If we had feedback from someone playing the game on what people need, crave or demand then we can organize better and more interesting events that might increase the number of our registered players. '''' {Chris} '''' There is no reason to not agree, so I will be expecting you tomorrow with the contract and the new capsule. '''' {Richard} '''' Good. I guess this is the time for me to leave. I have to make the contract with everything we have agreed upon included. Dexter, stay here for a while more and give to Chris every information he needs on the events and updates I am going to announce later today in my intervew on GRR. '''' {Dexter} '''' Y-Yes boss! Leave it to me. '''' {Chris} '''' I''m really glad I met you Richard. I would like to say, leave it to me too, but what I got to do isn''t that simple. I promise however to do my damn best and tomorrow I am going to sign on that too. '''' Chris exchanged with him another handshake and good byes. Moments later Richard was gone and Dexter started explaining everything to Chris. After a while they changed location and moved by the side of the pool to continue their discussion. Greta served them some snucks and cold refreshments just in time. Once everything was said and explained, Dexter made his leave. He had work left to be done as well. Now alone, Chris wondered what to do. He decided to have some workout to brake a sweat. He did a light running and then started box training. It''s been some time since he trained his boxing techniques. His moves where out of synch but soon his muschles started to remember the correct way of executing them. Hours later he took a shower and sat in front of his computer screen again. His search on information about his class bear no fruit, he did however come across a very interesting site. It was called '' Dark Gamers '' and it had an interesting way of giving information. In a way you took as much as you gave. The only problem was that he had to get a recommendation from a high ranking member if he wanted to join them and get the information he needed. He didn''t worry much about it. He was used on getting what he wanted. Checking the clock he noticed it was almost time for Richard''s intervew on that Royal Road theme program so he headed downstairs and waited for GRR program to start. .:FLASHBACK ENDS:.
Chapter 13Chapter 15
====================================================== I know I promised a faster release, but unfortunately I lost Chapter 14 the first time I wrote it. I can blame the sudden powerbrake or the fact I didn''t think of making a copy of my work every once in a while to make sure everything is safe. I choose the first.......:P This Chapter is about half its original length. I am also going to write again the second half and post it as Chapter 15. PS. This Fiction''s views have dropped by a lot. If future chapters don''t meet certain amount of views I might as well as drop this Fiction for good. Chapter 15 This FF may depict scenes of violence, maturity and some cursing . Please post any mistakes you may find. '''' speech '''' [ thoughts ] * sounds * So.. I decided to not write what is going to happen after Chris went out to enjoy himself. After checking the results of the poll I posted a little while ago, I think I am not going to keep mature (sex stuff ) ''in'' the story. Instead I am going to write some side stories later which will also give some important informations about things in the story that might not make any sense at the time. So the story will move back to VR ( which is probably what most readers want too ) PS. There will be no violation (rape) scenes in my story. Rape, sadly, is part of our world with many culprits and victims and I don''t accept to ''create'' another victim OR culprit of such monstrosities, even if they are fictional. The story in general will remain on the bright side for the most part of it. (I also added this in my Fiction''s description) * * * {Richard} '''' Just one more signature right here and we are done. '''' {Chris} '''' Here, all done. '''' {Richard} '''' The installation team is going to finish any moment now and you can start your adventure. Remeber! If there are any troubles with the capsule don''t try to use it and give me a call immediately. Also if there is any major development with our plan, again call me immediatelly either from real life or from inside the game. As for the internet function, make sure it remains a secret. '''' {Chris} '''' Don''t worry. I will be mostly around NPCs but just in case I will be carefull every time I use it. '''' {Richard} '''' Please do. There will be a bunch of problems if someone finds out. Now, since the team seems to be done with the installation, it''s time for us to go. '''' {Chris} '''' Leaving already? '''' {Richard} '''' Yes, lots of stuff to do with the 10th year anniversary of Royal Road coming up. '''' {Chris} '''' Ok, thank you for making this possible in such a short time. I too have lots of stuff to do from now on and there shouldn''t be any time to waste. Have a nice day Richard. '''' {Richard} '''' You too Chris, have a nice day '''' {Installation Team} '''''''' Have a nice day sir! '''''''' {Chris} '''' Good Bye! '''' After walking the team and Richard out I went back to my room. There lied my advanced brand new capsule. This one looked even more like a spaceship than my previous one. It was a little bigger too. The color was mainly black and it had cosmic illustrations here and there. I liked it. I didn''t lose any time. I entered the much more comfortable capsule and activated it.

CONNECT TO ROYAL ROAD? YES/NO
'''' Yes '''' I appeared at the same spot I logged out the last time. I headed towards Caleb''s study room without wasting any time. Once I entered inside the enormous study room which you could easily call a small library I found Caleb as expected. What I didn''t expect, was for him to have a guest. {Caleb} '''' WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN? DO YOU KNOW HOW WORRIED I WAS? '''' {Curunir} '''' Sorry! Bunch of stuff happened. I didn''t know you were expecting someone to come over. '''' At the mention of the additional person who I never met, Caleb left worryland and snapped back to reality. {Caleb} '''' Oh that! Where are my manners. Come here young man, I would like to introduce you to someone. '''' I headed next to Caleb and took a better look at our guest. Not much to look at to be truthfull. He wore gray mantle that hid his body and his hood hid his face completely. The only visible thing on him was his white beard and that''s how I knew it was a him and not a her. {Caleb} '''' My old friend, this is Curunir Fang. My one and only son! ''''
Since your relation with Caleb Fang was announced, you are officially his son, Curunir Fang. Your current name changed and will never become known.
I instantly opened my Status Window and checked my name. It had indeed change to match that of my adoptive father. [My nameeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. What the f-ck!] Closing the window my attention went back to the figure of the mystery man. I felt his gaze over me. It was like he could see at the very depth of my soul. {Mystery Man} '''' I know for a fact that you can''t father any children Mad One. Don''t tell me you created another abomination trying to perfect your master''s research. You remember what happened the last time. '''' {Caleb} '''' Don''t call him an abomination! Franky was just different. '''' {Mystery Man} '''' FRANKY!? Pah-hahahahaha! You make him sound cute. That monster was a calamity. Hundreds of thousands died at his hands. '''' {Caleb} '''' But that was my fault not his. I tried to give him a stronger body so he could be safe. It just didn''t mix that well. '''' {Mystery Man} '''' Even someone like me with nonexistent knowledge on magic knows that a weak soul can''t handle a many times stronger body. In the end only the superior insticts of the body will remain while the mind deteriorates, changing the individual permanently. When that happens the being follows his insticts and them only and your creation was hungry, constantly! '''' {Caleb} '''' I handled it, didn''t I? '''' {Mystery Man} '''' And how did you do that exactly? You never cared to share, even to the one that went out of his way and brought that thing back to you, alive. '''' {Caleb} '''' Ough. Look Franky is safe where he is and at the same time the world is same from Franky. I believe that is enough. '''' A strange conversation had began between the mystery man and Caleb. By the way the two of them talked I could understand that they knew each other quite well and probably for quite long. That conversation raised so many questions in my mind. In the end I butted in interrupting them, although it seemed Caleb was glad I did so. {Curunir} '''' You tried the same experiment grandpa Cal did to create you? From what I understand that didn''t go so well. '''' {Caleb} '''' Yes, I did and sadly didn''t go so well as you said. That however is a story for another time. Now, just to make everything clear my old friend, Curunir here is my adoptive son and he is also my master''s legacy. '''' The mystery man did a light jerk which was hardly noticable after Caleb mentioned the words ''master''s legacy''. Suddenly I could feel a light pressure which as it turned out came from the mystery man. It was enough to carry a message between the two since right after that, Caleb told me to go to the kitchen and eat something while he and his guest were to talk in private. If you encounter this tale on Amazon, note that it''s taken without the author''s consent. Report it. I did just that not really caring what is going on. To me that was just a waste of time. All I care about is to start my training and then go have awesome adventures. In the kitchen I found a meal already served. The plate was somehow keeping the meal warm. Fascinating stuff. The meal had an otherwordly taste like always. I start to worry, I might not enjoy meals in real life after a while. The conversation of Caleb with his guest was normal... at first. After a while the volume of their voices was raised, especially the one coming from the guest. In the end, I could even hear what he was saying. {Mystery Man} '''' YOU ARE INSANE! MUCH MORE INSANE THAN I THOUGHT YOU WERE. '''' The door opened and the mystery man left with heavy but at the same time swift steps heading towards the exit. He didn''t even wait for Caleb to walk him out. The moment he opened the door to exit the castle he just disappeared. To be frank, I don''t know if he teleported or he just moved too fast for me to notice. I walked to the office only to find a sullen Caleb sitting in his armchair. {Curunir} '''' You ok? '''' {Caleb} '''' Yes, don''t worry. It''s not the first time he has a temper tantrum only to leave moments later. '''' {Curunir} '''' Who was that anyway? '''' {Caleb} '''' A very old friend. Even though he is Human, he''s been alive for almost as much I''ve been. '''' {Curunir} '''' What? How is this even possible? Are you sure he isn''t a mummy by now? Maybe that was the reason he wore that mantle. '''' {Caleb} '''' HaHa. That made my day. Him, a mummy. You shouldn''t underastimate the human race my son, or any race for that matter. That man is someone strong enough to stand against me. He has a couple of serious disadvantages, but still I would think twice before going against him. We were trained from the same master after all. '''' {Curunir} '''' So he is a disciple of grandpa. That explains everything. Do you see each other often? '''' {Caleb} '''' Not really. Last time I saw him was a couple of handreds of years. We had a reunion, me,Draven and him. In the past our reunions were more frequent but his and Draven''s personalities are like oil and fire. They always had a ''sparring match'' which would always turn to a deathmatch. If it weren''t for me to stop them every time, one of them would be dead for sure, if not both. Things got even worse when Draven had an unexpected loss against him. '''' {Curunir} Your brother lost against him? Did he cheat or something? '''' {Caleb} '''' No he would never do that. Draven has different circumstances than us. Me and Ody were mostly alone, training and perfecting our skills. My ''kids'' can grow on a safe environment and their lifespan is much bigger. They can learn from their mistakes and teach the younger generations. Draven''s on the other hand lived in a constant fear. They couldn''t control their bloodlust on full moon and hurt others or even themselves. They were and still are persecuted by the other races. Draven had to step up and lead them, protect them, teach them, give them a chance. Soon after that, the difference in power between us was quite obvious. Draven had to deal with all sorts of things while we trained. Draven became distant from then. I offered to help him but he said our races had bad blood between them and it wouldn''t end well. '''' {Curunir} '''' It''s kind of sad. Together for so many years, only to end up hating each other. I guess that Ody you mention before is the name of the mystery man? '''' {Caleb} '''' Ody is how I call him. If you want to know his name you will have to ask him yourself. By the way Ody doesn''t hate Draven. To him, Draven is more like a rival. When Draven couldn''t keep up Ody was angry with him. The reason of that anger however wasn''t hate. To Ody, it seemed like Draven broke a promise. As for Draven, he indeed feels hate, but the one he hates is not Ody. It''s his own self. '''' {Curunir} '''' Did you try to fix it? '''' {Caleb} '''' I did, many times. It''s not that they don''t, it''s just that they are damn persistant. '''' {Curunir} '''' I see. So did he come for a reunion after so many years you hadn''t seen each other? '''' {Caleb} '''' Sadly, he came to give me a warning. Some fools from our ranks got tired of staying hidden and decided to come out and make chaos. '''' {Curunir} '''' From your ranks? '''' {Caleb} '''' That''s right, you probably don''t know. Say son, do you know the Power Ranks of this world? '''' {Curunir} '''' I might have an idea. Why don''t you explain everything? '''' {Caleb} '''' Very well! In this world exist 8 Ranks of Power. First is the no rank, after that is the elite rank, then the mini-boss rank, then the boss rank, then the hidden-boss rank, then the dragon rank, then the world-boss rank and last but not least the God rank. Once you reach the God rank, the ranking system changes. Gods have rankings too, whether they are real Gods or those damn ''beings of higher purpose'' that gain power from faith. Now, everyone in this world is born as a no rank. Even if your parents are boss rank or even higher, you still are born as a no rank. Exception to that rule are the Dragons. These pridefull sons of bitches are always born as a dragon rank which also took its name from them. '''' Caleb clearly hated dragons for some reason, maybe that''s why he takes pleasure in eating them. {Caleb} '''' Once you become an elite you are ranked as Elite G and you can go all the way up to Elite S. The same goes for all rank except God rank and of course no rank. To rank up you need to either succeed on a mission of the level of the next rank or just beat/ kill someone of higher rank. Each time you can only rank up once, so even if as an Elite G you kill a Boss G, you will just rank up to Elite F. The higher the rank, the stronger you are. That ranking system exists only for sentient beings. The non sentient beings just rank up as time passes or if they kill very strong opponents. Some times they just appear... '''' {Curunir} '''' How do you become an Elite? Where do I get missions for rank up? '''' {Caleb} '''' That for another time. I won''t risk having you running off like a fool. '''' [Damn he saw right through me.] {Curunir} '''' Ok, Ok I get it. When the time is right and all that crap. So what rank of power do these individuals belong to? Since you said ''our'' rank before it means you are of the same rank. Which is it? Boss? No maybe even hidden-boss? '''' {Caleb} '''' What are you talking about? It''s obviously the world-boss rank. '''' :wat: [WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT?]
