《Armor of Justy (AoJ)》 Chapter 0: Prologue Prologue JOHN HATED HOW his HUD keeps on pulsing red light. He wondered why red light was used to impose a sense of urgency and emergency. Was it a universal thing or maybe because red is blood, he asked himself. Then he wondered, if the color of Veerians'' blood was also red. John felt his world is shrinking toward him. ¡°Red.¡± ¡°What are you talking about, John?¡± ¡°The Veerians. Was the color of their blood red?¡± ¡°Of course not, their blood does not contain any iron and it doesn''t need oxygen. Its luminescence green, if you must know.¡± John said nothing. He either did not care or his mind is losing. After all, losing a lot of blood will do that to you. His A.I companion from the very start of his missions, Crabtree, knew from a technical standpoint that John''s chance of survival is zero, unless he is warranted with an immediate medical attention. ¡°Keep talking to me, John. Dying here sucks more than you can imagine.¡± Crabtree said. ¡°That''s very reassuring, Crabtree.¡± John said sarcastically. ¡°Have you uploaded your data back to The Tellaveer?¡± ¡°Of course!¡± John sighed a relief. ¡°That''s good, at least one of us will survive here.¡± John knew his time was near, in fact, even surprised and amazed that he even lasted this long. A third of his torso was gone and there was hole in his right lung. The only reason he is still alive is because the nanites in his Suit were imitating his lost organ functions. A lot of thoughts entered his mind. Of how he came here in this god forsaken planet. As to why he hadn''t married, but he was glad that he has no family to leave behind. His only regret was not pursuing the love of his life. Cecilia, John whispered to himself. ¡°ETA for Rescue, Two hours. Keep running, John. They can''t send rescue in this place.¡± John gasped. ¡°We both know, we can''t outrun a pack of Zoezzugs.¡± The hole in his right lungs makes John to gasps for more air. ¡°I am only running to buy you some time to upload your data back to The Tellaveer.¡± The suit was doing all it can to sustain life functionality without compromising mobility. John felt no pain as he ran in the roughest terrain imaginable. Every nanites in his suit were programmed to inhibit the pain away from the user. For that, John was thankful. ¡°Upload Link Established!¡± A Holo message appeared on the upper left corner of his vision. ¡°We can now send real time data back to The Tellaveer. However, it would take four hours for them to received it. Concentrate on fleeing, John.¡± John saw four objects in his HUD following him. That was bloody fast, John said to himself. John stopped. ¡°Inertial Dampener Skill have leveled up.¡±
Inertial Dampener, Master Lvl 2
The ability of the Suit to counter the effects of rapid acceleration and deceleration by sustaining and absorbing the natural inertia as it moved through space The ability of your suit to resist inertia have increased by 4%.
¡°What are you doing, John?¡± ¡°I don''t wanna die running with my tail between my legs, Crabtree.¡± ¡°The chance of you coming out alive fighting a pack of Zoezzugs is 0.00002 %, John. Whereas, fleeing them and wait for the rescue gives you a 3% chance of surviving. Do the math, you idiot.¡± John prepared himself. He checked his Suit core remaining power. ¡°Weapons system activate.¡± Two drop down Holo list of weapons appeared on his HUD. The first list was titled ''Main Weapon'' and the other ''Off-hand Weapon''.

John chose his two favorite weapons. A blade on his right hand and a blaster on his left. A perfect balance of offense in melee and ranged combat. John checked the map function in his HUD. It displayed six objects all coming towards his position. ¡°Okay John, go down in the blaze of glory and dissolve in the stomach of hungry Zoezzugs.¡± John waited for the enemy. He lowered his hip and raised his left arm to aim. ¡°What do I care if they eat me, I will be long dead by then.¡± The narrative has been taken without authorization; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident. ¡°The Veerians would want your body, you know. They could transfer your memories to a new body, John. Be excited by that, John. Finally you can get rid of your stinking body.¡± ¡°That''s assuming they can get down here on time before these things eat me. I''d rather go down fighting, Crabtree, than be killed while running. ¡°Damnit John! You may not be the best partner, but sure as hell I don''t want to go again into the trouble of training another useless earthling.¡± John laughed. ¡°I''m sure the feeling would be mutual to the next me.¡± ¡°Prepare to engage, John. 2 o''clock, twelve seconds before contact.¡± John did not wait for the enemy. His experience as a marine told him that the faster he can eliminate the enemy the higher the chances of him not being surrounded. He raised his blaster and fired. Without knowing if the target was actually dead, he ran towards it to deal the finishing blow. As what he predicted. His blaster wasn''t enough to shatter the Zoezzugs armor. The Zoezzugs he shot was getting up, but John was already swinging his blade. John knew that the Zoezzugs armor has a weakness right below their long chin. He perfectly aimed it. Within an instant, the head of Zoezzugs flew. The legs of Zoezzugs -which has three joints dividing it- thrashed violently then stopped. ¡°Behind you, John. Two more coming from your left.¡± Warned Crabtree. ¡°Armor Change: Betelgeusian Faraktakk Carapace Skin.¡±

¡°John, don''t use too much of the Suit''s ability. 50% of the nanites in your Suit is hardly keeping you alive.¡± ¡°Set 30% of nanites to life support system, Crabtree. I am gonna need every one of them in this battle.¡± ¡°Oh yeah sure. Dying in blood loss is a lot better than being picked apart by these creatures.¡± ¡°Hey now, don''t be like that. It could very well be the last time we will fight together, so can you at least be nice to me.¡± John laughed. ¡°Dammit, John. Setting 30% nanites to life recovery and support system.¡± John managed to kill -despite his suit limited capacity- three more Zoezzugs. Then he checked again on his Holo map. He saw four more Zoezzugs, but he wondered why they weren''t moving. John breathed heavily. He felt his mind was slipping every second. He blinked several times to reorient himself. He was back but still worried with the lack of movement from the enemy. ¡°Are they supposed to wait like this?¡± ¡°No, John. The pack leader is coming. Be careful.¡± John gulped. He was no match for the pack leader. Last time he tried battling one, he escaped with a hole in his chest and a severely damaged torso. John thought of running away, but he knew it would be pointless. He accepted his fate, or rather welcomed it. To him, dying in the hands of a mighty enemy is more than he deserved. A larger object in his holo map was fast approaching in his direction. John was glad it was the same creature he fought before. Eyes as big as its own head and with an unbelievably long neck. John thought its head looked like a bee, with a grasshopper-like body and a mantis-like weapon. They stared at each other. John felt no killing intent coming from the Zoezzugs. It was more like it came to play rather than to hunt. And John was pissed by that. ¡°You want to play? You hairy disgusting bug?¡± John taunted. ¡°Oh, great. If only you could kill with insults.¡± Crabtree remarked. The enemy tilted its head. Not comprehending any word John said, it lunged at him. Before John could react. He fell on the ground and realized what had just happened. His body was severed into two. John tried to glimpse to his now detached legs. Oh shit. Those were my legs!, John thought. He then glimpse into his enemy. He saw it was licking the blood, his blood, in its scythe-like arm. John coughed. ¡°What happened, Crabtree?¡± ¡°The Suit working at 70% capacity was not able to block his attack. You are dying, John.¡± ¡°I see. It''s the end of the line for me. I bet you are happy now, Crabtree.¡± ¡°That''s not fair, John.¡± ¡°You are right, I am sorry. But I''m not going quietly, Crabtree.¡± ¡°Warning!¡± the message kept blinking at John''s HUD, but he paid no attention to it. The remaining nanites in his suit stopped the bleeding from his severed torso. Again, John felt no pain but the realization that he does not even managed to scratch the enemy hurt his pride. ¡°Got it, partner. Activate Suit-Self destruct in T-minus 10 seconds. Goodbye, John.¡± John was gradually losing his vision. He hated how his Suit still trying to keep him alive. Let me die already, John thought. ¡°Goodbye, buddy.¡± A woman was smiling to John. Cecilia, John whispered. Before John managed to closed his eyes. He saw the creature''s foot atop of him. See you in hell, John tried to say but no words came out of his mouth. The creature let out a piercing shriek before it, with all its might, crushed John''s head. And a static filled screen flashed before the Veerian speczator''s eyes. They were at a loss for words witnessing such brutal death of their best and only agent. They had prepared for the worst, but when it came, they felt sick. John and the Veerians may be of different species. But Veerians thought and long considered John as an important comrade, in truth, even an important part of their family. They took it hard, but they knew they have to move on. They owe it to the fallen Veerians before them, and most importantly they owe it to John.

IT was another usual day in the computer shop that Justy frequented. Bunch of young players shouting, cursing with each other. Justy loved the competitive atmosphere in the shop but hated the musky odor. It was the combination of sweat, cigarette and occasional cinnamon. To him, this was his battlefield. ¡°Hey, Justy! Switched with Ben, we need your help in the next game.¡± ¡°Someone''s kicking your team''s ugly butt again, eh, Manny?¡± Manny nodded. ¡°Yeah, look there.¡± Justy looked to where his friend pointed at, and saw ten guys in their school uniform. Justy noted the uniform and realized they were highschool students from nearby town. In his first glance, he observed that some of them probably had a drink or two. He also noticed the grin in their faces, a sign of a nearing victory. Justy approached Manny''s team. He saw the kill score. It was worse than he thought. The highschool students were beating them, to another gamer perspective, it was hard to watch. But he didn''t looked away, he watched, observed and made some pointers about the enemy''s strength and weakness. When the one-sided battle ends, Justy tapped Ben''s shoulder. ¡°Backup is here.¡± Ben stood. ¡°Don''t underestimate them, Justy.¡± Since when did I ever underestimate an enemy? Justy wanted to say but he kept it to himself. He looked at Manny and gave him a nod that implies, I got this. Manny understood Justy, after all they have been friends since their Elementary years. ¡°Alright, the score is 2-0. Best of five games, one more win and you guys will take the pot.¡± Manny said to the highschool students. The game started. Justy, without mercy, concentrated his attack to the enemy''s player which he previously examined as the weakest of them all. And he was right with his assessment. He gained massive advantage and the game snowballed into their victory. Two to one, in favor of the enemy. The highschool students realized what Justy had done. They set their weakest member in a less demanding role. However, it was too late. Thanks to Justy, Manny''s team had gained their confidence back. They started to play with less mistakes. With Justy at the core of their offense, they managed to net another victory. It was two all. Justy took pleasure in seeing the grin vanished in the students'' faces. One of them stood up. ¡°Hey, my friend said, you use substitution. Bring the original roster or we''re out of here.¡± Justy stood. He looked to Manny and gave him a reassuring nod. In fact, he had anticipated this would happen. That''s why he told to his teammates the various weakness of the enemy, every chances he got during the game. He even told them what character to choose to counter them. After a long battle, Manny''s team emerged victorious. But Justy was nowhere to be seen in the shop. When Manny is about to collect the pot money. One of the students pushed him and took the money. Everyone stood up. The screeching of metal chairs as it scratched the floor echoed throughout the room and the atmosphere got sour suddenly. One wrong move or wrong word said and a brawl could erupt. And Manny doesn''t want that. The pot money is nothing compared to the loss that might be incurred when a free for all fighting erupted inside his shop. ¡°Hey now, take the money and go.¡± Manny said while backing up calmly. He can feel the murderous vibe coming from his team. He gestured them to calm down. But he knew, they were not going to take it quietly. All of their attention snapped to the door when five tall and well built individuals entered the shop. Manny recognized them, they were all his friends in the nearby gym. Manny also noticed Justy who had just entered the shop. ¡°Are these brats troubling you, Manny?¡± one of the big guy said while looking at the highschool students. Manny looked to the students. ¡°Nah, they were just leaving.¡± Manny held out his palm and the student who took the money gave it back to him. The students, intimated by the five hulking individuals, decided their lives is worth more than a chump change. They buggered off without looking back. ¡°Thanks, Stu.¡± ¡°Anytime, Manny. You should thank Justy here.¡± Stu held his thumb to point at his back. ¡°He called us saying there might be some trouble here.¡± So that''s where he went to, Manny thought. ¡°Yeah, thanks Justy, you really have a knack for saving our asse...¡± Then the monitor, zoomed out. It goes through shop''s building. Out from the earth''s atmosphere. A planet with bluish radiance appeared in the monitor, then it zoomed out again, this time the image of what appears to be the milky way galaxy filled the monitor. ¡°Is he the one, Dr. Mu?¡± asked Ga''lek after watching the feed. His voice rose to signify doubt. ¡°Yes, sir. 24 year old, Justy. Out of work Engineer. Spends most of his times in computer games. No military service record, no background in any form of human fighting arts. Human standard I.Q of 150.¡± Dr. Mu narrated. ¡°And he fit the most important criteria, he has no surviving family member.¡± ¡°150? equivalent please.¡± ¡°Around Rank A-plus or possibly Rank S-minus mental capacity.¡± ¡°Hmm, ordinary but significantly higher than John, I give you that. But John was a warrior. This human seems...¡± ¡°Weak? Frail?¡± Dr. Mu asked. ¡°Precisely.¡± ¡°The problem with John is, he relied too much on his own fighting ability.¡± ¡°What do you mean?¡± ¡°No offense but John didn''t even came close to unleashing the Suit''s full potential.¡± ¡°Let me get his straight.¡± Ga''lek held out his light-green, thin, possibly his forefinger. ¡°You wanted a weak human being, with no fighting ability, no military background to pilot our only remaining Suit in our arsenal.¡± Ga''lek wet his pale lips and raised his white eyebrow.. ¡°All for the reason that he could rely more on the Suit''s power?¡± ¡°Yes.¡± ¡°You sure?¡± ¡°Most definitely.¡± Ga''lek let out a sigh. He looked at Dr. Mu and saw in her pure white eyes that she was dead serious. ¡°Dr. Mu, one more question.¡± ¡°Sure.¡± ¡°Will you entrust our fate, no, the entire fate of our extinct species to that human?¡± Dr. Mu gave Ga''lek a sincere gaze. If anyone could do it, its Justy. She thought. ¡°Yes.¡± ¡°Very well then. Bring him here. Begin Human-Silent-Abduction Protocol, Priority ¨C Rank S.¡± ¡°Yes sir, initiating HSA protocol.¡± . . . Justy finished his usual dinner, instant noodles. He always liked his beef flavored instant noodles. Not the taste, but the consistency. The consistency of the amount of seasonings, the consistency of the noodle''s thickness and the consistency of the packaging that all amounted to a singular and consistent taste. It''s not like Justy hated change. He just wanted a bit of order, or at least in his dinner, in his now spiraling chaotic life. His piled up debt in student loans, his cramped apartment, his rock-metal loving neighbor and his dwindling extra money to make it through the week without dying of starvation. He was fired last week in his job. He wished that he''d made it through a month before he had a fight with his superior and called him an ''imbecile''. With trump up charges set up by his boss and his lackeys against him, he was fired without a month''s salary and a termination fee. Justy talked to a lawyer who offered him a free service as long as he handled his case. The catch was, if they won, the lawyer would get sixty percent of the reparation money. What a greasy scumbag, Justy thought. However, forty percent is a lot better than nothing. He agreed to his lawyer condition. They were supposed to meet earlier, but his lawyer did not show up. His lawyer called him and said he will drop the case. Justy thought this must be his boss'' doing. In fact, before dropping the case, his lawyer told him the company will charge him with patent lawsuits and told Justy that he was on his own. He was forced to sell his favorite motorcycle to pay up for this month''s rent and probably the next if there would be any left. He thought of joining his classmate''s startup company who took a great trouble of recruiting him to join a month ago. He thought the company will fail, with or without him, and would file bankruptcy in no time. But he was wrong. And he despised himself for being wrong. Enjoying the story? Show your support by reading it on the official site. He wanted to call them, but his pride wouldn''t let him pick up his phone and dial the number. He thought of starting a company, he knew he had a chance and it could''ve work a month ago, but now he knew it was futile. He lacked capital. And now that his credibility is put into question, asking for a loan is impossible. It was in the middle of the night and Justy couldn''t get to sleep. He thought he was hallucinating when he heard a noise. A dialogue, he thought, because of two differing tones. But he couldn''t make out what they were saying. ¡°Tad ale''s ask ishku ''as aleva¡± ¡°Hssh!¡± Justy processed the words. He could not understand it. Justy turned his body to see who it was. He saw two figure, but he couldn''t see their faces. ¡°I have nothing of value here. Take what you want and leave.¡± he said in a slow manner, hoping they would understand English. He then went back to his original position to where his left cheek was on the bed. A cold sweat ran through his forehead. Afraid of the fact that he was on the right age, where symptoms of Schizophrenia will start to show. He dispersed the idea. It must be the stress that I am seeing things, Justy thought. Justy was a lucid dreamer since he was a kid. He could tell if he was actually dreaming, in fact he could even change scenery in his dreams. He tried. But the scent of his month old unwashed bedsheets was still there. Definitely, not a dream. He thought. Justy turned his body again to see if they were still there. But a flashed of white light blinded him. . . . The Tellaveer: Section Four ¨C Medical Bay Justy felt good. He has no idea where he is. But he felt no sense of urgency to know. To care. He is content, satisfied. I was drugged, Justy thought. If this is what drugs feels like. I should have taken cocaine or heroine a long time ago, Justy said to himself. ¡°You are awake.¡± Justy heard. But he swore he heard two similar voice with different words. ¡°I must be hallucinating.¡± Justy smiled. ¡°Cause I am seeing you have a very unusual long ears. And quite cute too.¡± ¡°Thank you. My name is Mu. And you are not hallucinating.¡± ¡°Aha! It moved. Your ears moved. Awesome.¡± Justy was so sure he was hallucinating. But he knew he was thinking clearly. He just can''t explain why he felt so good and happy. ¡°Do it again.¡± Dr. Mu touched her ears. Feeling embarrassed, she tried to sway Justy''s attention. ¡°Do you know where you are?¡± ¡°What kind of drug you gave me?¡± ¡°Well, technically we gave you some medicine. But if you mean psychedelics, I assure you we didn''t administer any.¡± Justy fully understood what Mu said. Justy was thinking clearly, in fact, more clearly in the past few months. A realization dawned on him. He shifted his body to prepare to get up. Surprised with the ease of getting up, Justy looked at his body. He wore the same plain old red-shirt. He is still the same skinny guy who loved instant noodles. But, he knew something change. Justy looked at Mu. He noticed her pale complexion, with a shade of light green. Might be the lights, Justy thought. He can''t get his eyes off with those ears. It was striking. More striking than the tiny nose of Dr. Mu. More striking than the absence of pupil in her white eyes. Justy, without thinking, grabbed Mu''s ears. It was warm. He felt flesh. Trying to hide her embarrassment. Mu looked away. ¡°That is very rude, you know.¡± With a sudden jerk. Justy removed his hands. ¡°W-what are you?¡± ¡°I am, what you call in your planet, an Alien. An extraterrestrial being.¡± Justy didn''t buy any single word of it. He was skeptical. ¡°Oh yeah, from what Planet?¡± Mu wasn''t able to hide her sadness. She frowned. ¡°You cannot find it anymore, it was gone.¡± Justy felt sorrow on high pitch voice of Mu. ¡°What happened?¡± ¡°You are in our starship. The Tellaveer.¡± Justy noted the subtle way of Mu''s refusal in answering his first question. ¡°Tellaveer?¡± ¡°It means, in our tongue, the last veer.¡± Aside from her long and unusual pointy ears. Justy couldn''t get himself to freak out. Mu, after all, was somehow identical to a human being. ¡°Veer?¡± Mu nodded. ¡°Yup. We are Veerians. Hopefully, not the last one.¡± ¡°What am I doing here? We are not on earth, are we?¡± ¡°One question at a time, please. I''ll try my best to answer all of it. As to why you are here. We need you.¡± Justy tried to say something but he was cut off. ¡°And yes, we are not on Earth. Our ship is currently parked at the outskirt of Andromeda Galaxy.¡± ¡°Seriously?¡± ¡°Yes, why are you still skeptical? You know you are not dreaming.¡± That is true. Justy thought. ¡°The existence of another life outside our planet has only been theorized.¡± Justy said. ¡°Your very existence only appear on movies and novels.¡± Mu let out a sigh. ¡°Typical Earthlings, you think you are the center of the universe. Well, guess what, you are not and neither are we. We are all but a specz of dust in a massive and ever changing library.¡± ¡°Alright, I believe you.¡± Justy said. Mu raised an eyebrow. ¡°You do?¡± ¡°Yes. I mean what are the alternatives? Compare to being sent in heaven, hell or to a faraway place, being abducted by an Alien is much more plausible.¡± Mu nodded. ¡°I thought I have to show you some other alien species or send you to some other planet before you can believe me.¡± ¡°I want to see another Aliens, but I think I have enough for today.¡± Justy shrugged. ¡°But I think I am going to need a detail explanation as to why you have abducted me.¡± ¡°Got it. Come with me.¡± Justy jumped to his bed. He was surprised to see that he was taller by a almost a feet. ¡°By the way, is that a normal clothing in your planet?¡± ¡°Oh this?¡± Mu touched her milky pink blazer. ¡°I wore this to let you ease in, I didn''t want you to freak out in your first contact. ¡°It worked.¡± Justy nodded. It suits her perfectly. Her skinny physique did the rest. ¡°Where we going?¡± ¡°To my lab.¡± This is crazy, Justy thought. Yesterday, Justy was in front of a computer monitor. Now, he was facing a truth, far greater than anybody could fathom. Aliens exist, deal with it. Justy told to himself. Time travel, String theory, Bigfoot, what else were real? Justy wondered. The only thing Justy knew for sure was, his entire perception of reality is now clouded with doubts.

IT WAS black. Like space devoid of stars. A nothingness encased in a tall aquarium-like container. It was ordinary, placed in an extraordinary place. There were cables as thick as human leg connected to it at its base. It piqued the interest of Justy. Why? He doesn''t know. Justy held out his hand to touch it. He felt a cold glass between him and the container. ¡°What is this?¡± Mu finished typing something in a holographic keyboard. ¡°The Suit. Ultherion Exosuit, Mark I.¡± An image of a popular powered cybersuit he saw in movies appeared in his mind. Justy looked hard, examining carefully the container if there was really a suit hidden in it. But he found nothing. It was all black. ¡°Can you removed the black stuff, so I can actually see the suit.¡± To see first hand an alien tech, an exosuit no less, will make any Engineer in Earth to drool. And he was no exception. Justy noted the size of the container and theorize that it must have been designed for a tall alien. He wondered what could this suit do. ¡°What are you talking about? That black stuff is the suit.¡± ¡°Eh?¡± ¡°The Ultherion Exosuit Mark I is comprised of fifty billion advance nanomachines. The CENs.¡± Justy''s eye grew wide in amazement. After all, Nanotechnology in Earth is like working on a microchips with boxing gloves on. If the Veerians is closely working on nanomachines, then they were far advance than Justy initially thought. ¡°CENs? I am thinking that these are not normal nanites?¡± ¡°Continuously Evolving Nanites. You are right, this are not some nano computers, this technology is thousand years ahead of yours, if I daresay.¡± ¡°Thousands? Try hundred.¡± ¡°You don''t understand. This is one of the, not to brag, many pinnacle of our intellectual prowess. A suit that evolves with the user. It does not only adapt. It could even learn, based on the actions of the user.¡± ¡°Cool. Can I try it?¡± Justy said. ¡°Of course. But there is someone, well, depends on your philosophy, he could be something. Anyway, wait a second. Activate C R A B T R E E program.¡± Nothing happened. Mu let out a sigh. ¡°Crabtree, I know you are in there. Meet Justy, quite possibly to be your next partner.¡± Partner? What were they planning to do to me. Justy wondered. ¡°I don''t like that weak looking earthling, Dr. Mu.¡± Justy didn''t mind what the deep sounding voice said about him. In fact, he even agreed. Justy, after all, was too skinny for his height. The first thing you would notice about Justy was his prominent cheekbones. Aside from that, his sunken eyes and scar in his left eyebrow made him looked liked a lifeless drug addict. ¡°What is he?¡± Justy asked. ¡°Computerized Realistic Artificial Bio-Transformed Rational Enhanced Entity. A really advance A.I.¡± ¡°Highly.¡± the deep voice interjected. ¡°Computerized Realistic Artificial Bio-Transformed Highly Rational Enhanced Entity. That means I am smarter than you, you bag-o-bones of an earthling.¡± ¡°Crabthree, then?¡± Justy looked at Dr. Mu. Dr. Mu shook her head to and fro. ¡°Go with it for now.¡± She whispered to Justy. An A.I with a personality? Holy shit. This keeps getting better. Justy said to himself. He also wondered if Turing would rise from his grave if he knew about this Crabtree. ¡°A pilot.¡± Dr. Mu said. ¡°Huh?¡± ¡°We need you to pilot this exosuit. By the way don''t you feel anything strange about your body?¡± ¡°Now that you asked. I feel good. My body seems light. Did you do something about it.?¡± Justy asked. ¡°Well, yes. We treated your body. Cured it from ailments and defects.¡± ¡°What do you mean cured me?¡± ¡°Do you know you have a cholesterol problem despite your physique? Also, there''s a minute tumor in your pancreas, give it a year and you would have Diabetes.¡± Dr. Mu said. ¡°And If you survived that, a defect in your genome puts you in a great risks of having heart problems. Additionally and most likely, you would have an Alzheimer disease when you turn forty or fifty.¡± Overwhelmed by his grim future, Justy sunk in silence. It''s one thing to face the reality that everybody die, but to know how you might die, it''s a different thing entirely. Dr. Mu sensed a momentary grief of Justy. She knew it was something she said. As a species who had lived for centuries thanks to wonders of technology, Dr. Mu had forgotten, in fact, their entire generation had forgotten what it feels like to die of sickness and old age. ¡°Well, on the plus side, we had removed all of those threat. You''re fit as a fiddle, as what they used to say in your world.¡± Justy realized they have been observing Earth for quite some time. He also realized he may not be the first human to be abducted. But Justy feels safe. He couldn''t understand it but in some unusual way he feels no harm will come to him inside the ship. Not yet anyway. ¡°What''s the catch?¡± Justy asked. Justy knew from various experiences that when someone do something good about him, there''s always a catch. ¡°I told you. We need you to pilot this exoSuit.¡± ¡°Why?¡± Dr. Mu breathed deeply. ¡°Open file, 00AS dash X001.¡± The lights went out and a 3D hologram of a planet appeared. Justy saw a golden ring enveloped the blue planet. It looked like earth, without the ring, at first glance. It was beautiful, Justy thought. But Justy was more interested in the 3D hologram technology. The lighting was solid, no scattered lights, no distorted pixels. It was a marvel, Justy thought. ¡°This is the home of a highly advance species, who want nothing but peace.¡± Dr. Mu said. ¡°But now, look at its current state.¡± The scene changed. It was now rocks of varying sizes and metal scraps floating in the vast emptiness of space. The once magnificent planet was gone. Justy looked at Dr. Mu. He knew how hard it was, to lose a home. After all, he too, had suffered the same fate. He knew first hand what it feels like. It was a feeling that part of you, a greater part of you, was gone and replaced by a void that can''t be filled. ¡°What happened?¡± Justy asked. ¡°The Galactic Empire of Frennins happened. We are a species famous for our intelligence and advancement in science and technology. The scientific problems you earthling trying to solve? We had solved it thousand years ago. You could say that our ego, put a target to our back.¡± ¡°What did you do to the Frennins?¡± ¡°That was our downfall, we didn''t do anything. The Frennins asked us to create a weapon for them. But we refused. We are a peaceful species, we don''t like war and violence.¡± Dr. Mu gasped. ¡°You see, we are a species that transcended the notion that conflict arises innovation. We are perfectly capable of advancing ourselves through collective and peaceful initiative.¡± Utopian civilizaton, I can''t believe such thing existed. Well, last week, I didn''t actually believed Aliens existed either, so what do I really know. Justy thought. Dr. Mu continued. ¡°We became a pawn in a game that has been going for a thousands of years. The Frennins leaked a false information to their enemies stating that we signed an agreement with them to provide them with weapons.¡± ¡°In turn, the Frennins'' enemy attacked your planet in retaliation, but all of this was a trap set up by the Frennins to ambush them. Am I right?¡± Justy asked. ¡°Yes. We defended our planet successfully from the Frennin''s enemy. But we were spent. When the Frennins defeated the attacker in our planet, they turned their entire force against us. Billions of Veerians lost their lives that day.¡± ¡°You wanted revenge.¡± ¡°Personally, yes. And to all Veerians in this ship, they too, want revenge. We lost our families and our home that day.¡± Unauthorized use of content: if you find this story on Amazon, report the violation. Justy scratched his head. It was a sad moment in their history, but Justy couldn''t see why they wanted him. ¡°I am not really seeing why you needed me?¡± ¡°We are not warriors. We are thinkers.¡± Justy felt a bit insulted to those words, but he tried to shrugged it. ¡°Well, quite frankly, my level of intelligence may not be as high as you guys, but I ain''t a warrior either.¡± Dr. Mu snapped her head to Justy. ¡°Yes, you are. You show your true nature when you play those virtual games.¡± ¡°Well, there''s a clear distinction between games and reality, you know. Look at me. I can barely lift my own weight.¡± ¡°That''s not actually a problem. Think of the Suit as one of your characters in your games-¡± ¡°Except this time, its for real. How about if I die?¡± Dr. Mu looked away. ¡°I-if, if we could recover your body, then there''s a high chance we could revive you.¡± ¡°That''s not the point!¡± Justy shouted. ¡°Look, tell me. Why would I risk my life for you guys?¡± Dr. Mu was shocked. She turned around and walked towards the Suit''s container. ¡°I understand. I''m sorry for dragging you into our own personal war. You were right. It''s not your battle.¡± Justy said nothing. ¡°It may take 24 Earth hours to bring you back to earth. Meanwhile, you could rest into your room for a while. Don''t worry about us, you will not remember anything that happened here, when you get back to earth.¡± Dr. Mu whispered something and the door opened. ¡°Look, Dr. Mu. There are billions of us. I am sure there is one far better choice than me. Don''t waste it on me, Dr. Mu.¡± Justy said. Justy left the room. He knew it was the right choice. It may not be a courageous choice but sure it was the right one. . . . Battleship Class: The Devourer Somewhere in the outskirt of A1128 Galaxy, Leo Supercluster ¨C 400 Million light years away from Earth. Inside the bridge of the battleship class, The Devourer, sat one of the most ferocious commander in Frennin history. His atrocities and crimes were enough to send shiver to all enemies and allies alike. He became famous in the battle of Astrin, where he massacred millions of Jauerts, even those who surrendered to him. He skinned every enemy commander he fought, even go as far as skinning all of their relatives wiping them from existence. With such brutal methods he became known as the Flayer, the Skin Eater, the Genocider, and many more. If there''s one Frennin that you should avoid at all costs, its Frekim Mondragon. His loyalty to the Frennin Imperial Emperor knows no bound. He was the Empire''s hound dog. The judge, jury and the executioner. Not only ruthless in his method, but also efficient. He''d rather die than to fail in his duty. And his current duty, in which the Emperor himself ordered, was to wipe out the remaining Veerians. ¡°Sir, we picked up the tracks of Tellaveer in Virgo Supercluster.¡± said one of the officer in deck. ¡°That''s a dead sector. What are they doing there?¡± Mondragon said. His voice roared throughout the room. He was big. Bigger than any Frennins in his entire fleet. The sit he was sitting, barely enough to cover his enormous size. ¡°Something is masking the sector, but we found out there''s a living planet there, sir. Quite possibly, a civilization might exist there.¡± Mondragon caressed his red chin. He loved how his webbed fingers goes through his bushy black beard. He smiled and licked with his large tongue his several pointed yellowish saw-like teeth. ¡°All ships, prepare to warp.¡± ¡°Aye, sir.¡± . . . The alarm woke Justy in his sleep. He jumped from his bed and out to his room. The alarm is still blaring, and Justy realized that it might be a ship-wide alarm. He went straight to Dr. Mu''s laboratory. Much to his surprised, the door opened even before he could knock. ¡°Justy, what are you doing here?¡± Dr. Mu asked. Justy looked around. ¡°What''s happening?¡± Dr. Mu grabbed his hand. ¡°Come, you''ll find out.¡± Justy followed Dr. Mu in a very small room. It took Justy a couple of seconds to realized it was an elevator of some sort. He didn''t feel any movement at all. Before he knew it, the door opened and saw several beings with long ears doing something. They were all busy to noticed Justy and Dr. Mu who had just entered the bridge. ¡°Ga''lek, what''s the situation?¡± asked Dr. Mu as they walked towards the center. ¡°Th-¡± Ga''lek stopped abruptly when he saw Justy. ¡°What''s he doing here, Dr. Mu?¡± ¡°He needs to know, Ga''lek.¡± Ga''lek sighed. ¡°Fine. The Frennins have found us. Well technically, they found our meticulously covered tracks.¡± Justy''s full attention was to the three giant monitor in front of him. He saw what looked like Earth. It was the same planet he saw in the pictures published by NASA taken from International Space Station. However, with a slight difference since he is seeing countless ships surrounding the planet. ¡°Is that Earth?¡± Justy asked. ¡°Yes. And it is being held hostage by Frennins.¡± Ga''lek said. Dr. Mu concerned by the welfare of the people of the Earth asked Ga''lek. ¡°Can we do something to help them, Ga''lek?¡± ¡°I am sorry. I am risking the lives of every Veerians in this ship just by staying here.¡± Dr. Mu looked at Justy. ¡°Don''t worry, Justy. They want us. Not your planet. There''s a high chance they will slave your planet instead of destroying ¨C.¡± Everyone gasped when the Earth exploded suddenly. The explosion was massive but in an instant something sucked all of it from the center, in the end there were no trace of Earth left. It imploded. The earth was gone. Justy started to breathed heavily. He can''t understand what he is feeling right now, but he knew it was a familiar feeling. He saw it in his own eyes how the Earth vanished into thin air. Just like how he saw their house swallowed by the fire, along with his family. Tears fell on his eyes. A feeling of hate about himself started to resurface. He hated himself for being helpless, powerless. Again, Justy lost a home. Everything he loved and once loved, everyone he knew and forgotten, every place he visited and hoped to visit, they were all gone. In a matter of seconds, everything was gone. Because of someone''s whim, everything was gone. "Dr. Mu, does your offer still stand?" Justy asked. "Justy-" "Dr. Mu, does it still stand?" Justy cut her off. Dr. Mu looked to Ga''lek. But Ga''lek gave her an approving nod. "Yes, Justy." Justy turned his full attention once again to the monitor. Countless ships were still there, but there is no more sign of earth. It''s on, motherfuckers! Justy said to himself.

Don''t forget to R & R. If you liked this story, even a teensy little bit. Chapter 3: Farewell Chapter 3 Farewell
COLD AS ICE, Justy thought, every time a part of the nanites in the Suit touched his body. In a matter of minutes, the CENs fully engulfed his body and darkness followed. The word ''Initializing..'' blinked several times when he opened his eyes.

Justy registered as Master... . . Overlay program C.R.A.B.T.R.E.E set to slave... . . . Initializing Rundown Sequence... . . . Please wait...
The holo message window in front of Justy disappeared. He is now seeing Dr. Mu smiling at him. He raised his hands and witnessed some black stuff covered it. Not too bulky, but not too skinny either. Justy made exaggerated movements and gestures with his arms and fingers. Everything worked. In truth, he felt power. Black, space black, with touch of ash in some parts, is the default color of the suit. Justy liked it. Loved it, as a matter of fact. Not too grand, but still showed the elegance of an exosuit he''d imagine. No more no less. He raised his right foot forward. He twisted his hip several times. He arched his knees to prepare to jump. ¡°W-wait, wait.¡± Dr. Mu held out her hands. ¡°Don''t jump!¡± Justy straightened his legs. He looked at the ceiling. ¡°I am gonna reach that?¡± ¡°Yes. It''s not like you''re going to hurt yourself, but Drykkon and Ga''lek would lash at me when something happened to the ship.¡± ¡°Ok. How this thing works? What powers it?¡± ¡°The Suit is powered by an Antimatter Reactor Drive (ARD).¡± Dr. Mu said. ¡°Wait, does that mean, this suit is radioactive?¡± ¡°Yes, but you don''t have to worry about that.¡± ¡°You know, Earth''s scientist has ¨C¡± Justy swallowed. ¡°had made significant progress on antimatter engine, can''t believe I am actually seeing one now.¡± ¡°Oh, please, Earthling. Your people couldn''t even create a thousandth of a gram of antimatter, and you''re talking about significant progress?¡± Justy didn''t noticed him. He must''ve just entered the room. He was twice the height of Dr. Mu. He wore a jacket-like dress, with thick red sleeve and yellow vest. Justy usually didn''t mind it. After all, Justy knew in the hard way that you won''t survive in the dark side of the world of gaming without knowing how to roll with the punches. With his calm and collected nature, particularly at games, gave rise to the expression about him as, silent but deadly, which he loathed for the reason that is has some semblance to a fart. But Justy wasn''t able to roll with the remark that guy gave about earth, especially after it was blown into smithereens. He casually shrugged it but he was hurt. He remembered Earth, he remembered Manny, he remembered the scent of the shop. He then remembered all of it was gone. ¡°Drykkon!¡± Dr. Mu shouted. She gave Drykkon a look that implied to be not an insensitive asshole. ¡°What? I''m just stating the truth.¡± Drykkon said then looked to Justy. ¡°Look, kid. Everything in that Suit is the culmination of a thousand year life''s work. Everything in that suit is thousand years ahead anything in Earth. I apologize if I became touchy when you compared it to a species'' technology who hasn''t even discovered how to properly harnessed the power of star.¡± ¡°Drykkon, that''s enough. Why are you here?¡± ¡°I just want to help. I came to see if he is worthy of the weapons we made.¡± ¡°Fine. Justy, everything in the suit was made to be game-like as much as possible. I told you before, every nanites in that suit is continuously evolving and adapting. That is why, the Suit was programmed to quantify every progress. Try to access Stat function, think of it. Every command in your suit can be accessed through your mind.¡± Stat function. Justy thought.
STAT FUNCTION
Strength Affects the physical intensity of the Suit, the quality of the Suit to resists force. By doing strenuous activity, the CENs will force to adapt.
Speed Involves Unidirectional and Multi-directional speed. The ability of the suit to change position relative to time.
PowerDoes not grant excess power to the Suit. Power Stat dictates the efficiency of how the CEN''s uses energy to support function. The higher the Power Stat, the less energy use to do a certain work.
¡°The Suit has three primary stats. Each has different purpose. I am sure you can understand it. Let''s head to the next room. Follow me.¡± Justy followed Dr. Mu. Light as a feather, Justy thought. Every step he took, he doesn''t feel different. He feels like the Suit has been part of him since he was born. They entered a massive room. The floors and walls were all white. Justy saw a glass on one side of the wall. A viewing room, he thought. ¡°Justy, you will train here for a while. Now do a push-up stance.¡± Dr. Mu said, then she left the room. Justy dropped down with his face parallel to the ground. Curious, Justy pushed his body away from the floor. He was skeptical at first, because he can hardly make one push up even if he tried hard when he was on earth. But the Suit, shattered his disbelief. He could do it, in fact, he feels he could do a hundred push ups, with the way he felt with his body. Justy tried again, this time he did it so fast. He counted fifty, and yet he feels like it was nothing. A holo message appeared left bottom corner of his vision.
Speed +1 Power + 1
No strength? Justy wondered. ¡°Justy, do a push-up stance and do not move for a while.¡± Justy heard. He looked to the glass window and saw Dr. Mu waved at him, Drykkon was also there, with his arms crossed. Justy obliged, he did not move. ¡°Setting gravity to 4g.¡± Dr. Mu said. Justy felt something. Something dragged him down a bit. But not enough to make him move. ¡°8g.¡± This time Justy''s elbow bend a bit. Justy exerted some force to stabilize himself. ¡°25g.¡± Drykkon said. Flattened like pancake, Justy did his best to resist the force that is crushing him. ¡°Strength + 1.¡± ¡°Power + 1.¡± ¡°Try to do one push up, Earthling.¡± Drykkon said. Bastard, Justy thought. Grunting and groaning with all his might, Justy took a full minute before he could raised his body an inch away from the floor. For a second, Dr. Mu thought he could do it. But Justy was back again kissing the floor. Justy tried again. This time, he made a progress. His body was higher than before. Drykkon saw it and couldn''t believed it. ¡°30g.¡± Drykkon said. ¡°Strength + 1.¡± ¡°Power + 1.¡± Justy hit the floor again. Justy closed his eyes. He saw at the back of his eye, their house burning. He saw the little boy struggling to lift the log that crushing his unconscious mother''s leg. He saw how powerless, how pathetic the boy. He saw how the boy ran outside to ask for help. ¡°Waaarrrrrrrgghhhhhhhh.¡± Justy shouted. Justy let out a terrifying cry. It was an outburst of anger, pity and self loathing. With everything he had, Justy pushed his body away from the floor. ¡°Strength +1.¡± ¡°Strength +1.¡± ¡°Power +1.¡± ¡°Power +1.¡± Justy panted as if he ran a marathon. His straightened arms, barely supporting his weight against 30g, trembled like a plucked string. ¡°Hmmph.¡± is the only thing Drykkon said after witnessing such incredible feat. Feeling embarrassed, he left the room. Dr. Mu can''t help but smile. She knew, Drykkon somehow had acknowledged Justy. He was just too proud to say it. ¡°Set Gravity back to 20g. Try standing up now, Justy. By the way, that was impressive Justy.¡± Justy stood up quite easily. Not as easy before he wore the suit, but a lot easier minutes ago. Justy could still feel the force dragging him down. ¡°Your Strength has gone up to 4, speed to 1, and power to 5. We need to increased your speed, try to ran around the room as fast as you can.¡± Justy ran as fast as he could, but with such resistance, even a snail could out-crawl him. ¡°Speed +1.¡± ¡°Strength +1.¡± ¡°Power +1.¡± Justy finished another lap and another. Though a little, Justy was getting faster. ¡°Speed +1.¡± ¡°Power +1.¡± ¡°Try to follow the tracks.¡± A glowing track appeared in the floor. The track was full of left and right turns. Justy followed them. He knew he was training his agility or the Suit''s Multi-directional speed. Left, right, then another right. ¡°Speed +1.¡± ¡°Power +1.¡±
Level 1 Requirements:
Strenght: 5Speed: 4Power: 6
Your Suit have leveled up to 1.
No bonus? Justy thought. In most RPG games, when you gained a level, you gained bonus points. But this time it was reversed. You gained a level by doing various to increase those ''bonus points''. It was a formality, Justy thought. But he liked the system. He loved the idea of quantifying the Suit''s progress. It makes the training objective-based rather than measuring one''s progress subjectively. ¡°Good, you gained a level. I am sure you realized it by now, the Power stat is directly proportional to strength and speed. Most likely, when you gained either Strength or Speed, you will also gained Power. But sometimes that won''t be the case. If your suit thinks your current Energy consumption is enough for now, it will not increase." Dr. Mu said. "Think of the CEN''s in the Suit as an inter-weaved muscles, they get torn but they usually rebuilt themselves, stronger and faster than before." ¡°I see. Power is like the Suit''s endurance.¡± Justy said. ¡°Yeah, you could say that. Also if you used different Suit''s abilities in the future, the power stat might increase as well.¡± ¡°Set gravity: Normal.¡± Justy remembered the voice. It was Drykkon. The door opened and Justy stopped. It was Drykkon with two other guys with him. They were holding two metal cases with them. ¡°What are you going to do when you meet a hostile alien?¡± Drykkon asked to Justy. ¡°Beat them to death with your fist?¡± ¡°Does this suit have no weapons?¡± Justy asked. ¡°Uh ¨C uh. Zero weapons. But I am here to fix that.¡± Two of the guys with him placed the two suitcase on the floor and started to open them. Drykkon took something from the first case. ¡°With limited materials and time to work on, this is the best we could come up with, but don''t be disheartened, it still can kick Frennin''s ass.¡± He threw the weapon to Justy. Justy checked out the weapon, it was a rifle, but completely different than the ones in earth. Justy observed it has three muzzles, two of which has the same size, while the third muzzle is lot bigger. It was light, despite its bulkiness. ¡°Harbinger ''Rache'' Flux rifle. As you can see, it has three muzzles. The two smaller muzzle are the weapon''s ancillary function. The right muzzle allows you to fire incendiary rounds. Effective against any organic aliens. Look at the left side of the gun.¡±

Justy saw a small empty transparent barrel. ¡°What''s this do?¡± ¡°It allows you to place any stuff you want. For example, you could fill it with Clostridium botulinum if you want to effectively kill humans. If you activate it, every rounds that comes out of the left muzzle will be infused with botulinum toxins. With that function, I advise you to be creative and be very careful. Specifications have been sent to your suit, so check those if you have time.¡± Justy was nearing his limits. He wanted to shout how awesome it was. But that would only stroke Drykkan''s ego, and he doesn''t want that. ¡°Yeah, Ok.¡± Drykkon looked at him. ¡°It may not be the best baby that ever come out in our intellectual womb, but that should be enough to slice the cake.¡± ¡°Oh, I liked it. Thank you, Mr. Drykkon. One question, how about ammunition?¡± Justy said. ¡°The Rache gun, can convert any matter as its bullet. Since it doesn''t need any explosive powder to propel it outward, seriously though, why are you guys still using powdered ammo?¡± Drykkon asked. ¡°The Rache gun, uses the Matter Antimatter Engine as its source, the one in your suit. So if anyone tried to steal it and bypassed the biometric security, they would still need the same signature of energy source in your suit. In short, only you can use it.¡± ¡°So I just stuff it with any object?¡± ¡°Yes, that''s the idea. The higher the quality of the material you feed on it, the more destructive power it can deliver.¡± Drykkon said. ¡°If the enemy got too close, we have another baby that should take care of that. Catch!¡± Justy expected a sword or any blade-like weapons, but the one landed on his right hand was a short gauntlet. It has globular teeth extending outward. Justy held the handle. It covered the top of his knuckle and below his palm. ¡°A knuckle?¡± Drykkon nodded. ¡°Not just any knuckle. That¡¯s a blaster and a repeater too. If it¡¯s done installing itself, try to look at it and say disengage.¡±
¡°Reversi¡± knuckle gun have been installed.

Disengage. Justy whispered. The Reversi split into two. One is black-coated and the other is white. The ashen teeth-like plating was also split in to two. ¡°Both has its merits.¡± Drykkon said. ¡°Depends on your preference, your right could be the blaster or the repeater. Nevertheless, if you ran out of ammo, you could beat them up with its Vorkodium-Palladium alloy plated teeth.¡± Damn, it¡¯s cool. Justy thought. He wondered also, how he can hold both weapons. Since he didn¡¯t see any holster or strap in his suit. ¡°Do I have to bring that case, whenever I want to fight?¡± Justy asked. He knew it was silly, but he asked anyway. The two guys with Drykkon blurted out a laugh. They stopped when Dr. Mu looked at them. ¡°Your Suit has an innate ability, Dimensional Storage (Capture/Release). Try thinking the command, Justy.¡± Dr. Mu said.. Dimensional storage, Justy thought.
Dimensional Storage
Level052.90%
Store anything in a fold of dimension/space and re-materialize at will. The user can put items into a separate dimension for safe keeping, and can summon them back with relative ease. (Note: Using this ability consumes massive amount of energy. Use with caution.)
Dr. Mu explained to him that the folders in his HUD were just like the computers in earth, it can store digitized object in it. She also suggested to Justy to store the weapons in the pre-made directory entitled ¡®Weapon systems¡¯. ¡°Capture and the Release is the proprietary command of the Dimensional Storage ability." Dr. Mu said. "If you want to store that weapon, say or think ¡®Capture¡¯ and placed it to the directory of your choice.¡± Dr. Mu said. Capture Reversi, store to Weapon systems directory, Justy said to himself.
Set as Off-hand weapon or Main weapon?
¡®Off-hand, Justy thought. He then stored and registered the Rache rifle as his Main weapon. Poof. He swore he saw the space in front of him distorted a bit. The rifle vanished into thin air. ¡°Release Reversi.¡± Justy said. Then the Knuckle gun appeared on his less dominant hand. ¡°If you stored a lot of weapons and forget some of their names, you can call the directory ¡®Weapon systems¡¯ itself and browse through tha-.¡± The alarm went on again. It was the same alarm that resonated throughout the ship before the earth got blown into kingdom come. Justy came to hate that specific alarm. It reminded him that there were billions of them once. It¡¯s ironic how Justy thought before, that there¡¯s too many humans in the world. Now, he wishes the opposite. The words ¡®Initiate Project Armor Justy¡¯ struck Dr. Mu with silence. The message in her comm came from Ga¡¯lek. She knows Justy is not yet ready. And they both know that. The only reason Dr. Mu can think of why Ga¡¯lek issued such absurd command is that they are in grave danger. And Dr. Mu was right. Frekin Mondragon has tracked them once again. Ga¡¯lek had no choice but to expedite things. He hoped that Justy was the right choice. ¡°Justy, we don¡¯t have much time. Everything you want to know, you can ask it to your partner, Crabtree.¡± Dr. Mu said. Partner? That A.I? Justy wondered. Justy sensed the urgency in Dr. Mu¡¯s voice. ¡°What¡¯s happening?¡± Justy asked. ¡°The Frennins have caught up on us. Listen to me, Justy. We don¡¯t have time to brief you with your mission. Crabtree will inform you everything you need to know. Come on let¡¯s go.¡± Dr. Mu rushed outside. ¡°They are a getting smarter for a bunch of stinking sea creatures." Drykkon said then looked to Justy. "Good luck, Justy. Kill some Frennins for me.¡± Drykkon said. ¡°Thank you, Mr. Drykkon. I feel like we get off the wrong foot. I hope the next time we meet we could be friends.¡± Justy said, to one engineer to another. Drykkon said nothing. He just gave Justy a friendly smile. Justy followed Dr. Mu in what seems to be the launching pad of the ship. It has enough space to hold 20 ships with the size of an 18-wheeler trucks. ¡°This is your ship, Justy.¡± My ship? Justy wondered in delight. His joy was short-lived and crash landed when he read the word ¡®SCROTUM¡¯ engraved on the bow. ¡°SCROTUM!? Seriously!?¡± He wondered if it was Drykkon who put it. ¡°Yeah, it¡¯s the ship¡¯s name. It means Justice in our tongue.¡± The oval door of the ship let out a hiss when it opened. ¡°Get in, Justy. You don¡¯t have to worry about anything. Scrotum was programmed to warp you in the predestined location.¡± Justy was reluctant to enter. He didn¡¯t know if he was afraid of the unknown, that is space, or just embarrassed to enter a ship named ¡®Scrotum¡¯. Justy wondered about food and water. Nah, I¡¯m sure they had taken care of it. Justy said to himself. Justy looked at Dr. Mu once more, before he entered the ship. ¡°Um¡ Dr. Mu.¡± Dr. Mu gave him a warm pleasant smile. ¡°Yes?¡± ¡°I was wondering, i-if I could invite you to a coffee. W-well, not now¡But¡the next time we meet.¡± Justy realized that Coffee beans may been wiped out from existence. ¡°o-or any kind of refreshments, just the two of us.¡± ¡°O-ok.¡± Dr. Mu stammered. ¡°I¡¯d like that. I wish you luck.¡±

He licked his craggy lips when he imagined what part of the Veerian¡¯s body he would skin first. Stomach then to the arms and legs. He shivered with excitement at the thought. The Death Parade. The name of the infamous fleet led by the notorious Frekim Mondragon. At its full power it contains hundred thousand ships, with its flagship, the Devourer at its core. They were tasked with important missions that could greatly affect the empire. ¡°Sir, five ships had diverged and warped away from Tellaveer.¡± ¡°What?¡± Frekim asked. He wondered what the captain of The Tellaveer is thinking. It could be a ploy to divide my troops to chase those bogeys, Frekim thought. ¡°Set 10 Ferosa Strike ships for each ship that escaped and go after them. Rules of Engagement: Engage only when fired upon. I want whoever, whatever in those ships to be caught and brought back here-¡± Frekim licked his lips again. ¡°Alive.¡± ¡°Aye, sir.¡± ¡°Sir, we are being hailed by The Bloodspawn.¡± ¡°Get it up in the screen.¡± Frekim ordered. The image of a thinner and astute looking Frekim Mondragon appeared in the screen, it was like staring into younger version of Frekim, less intimidating of course, without the scar in his left cheek, but he could go there, give it a year or two. He has square jaw, with less wrinkles in his red forehead. He looked creepy with his massive, distinct and slightly protruding red cheekbones. If there¡¯s one thing Frekim Mondragon loved beside the Emperor himself, it was his sons. Nine of them, in fact. He valued them so much that each of them is leading a Battleship class ships and held high positions in the Death Parade. ¡°Father, let me go after one of those ships.¡± Frekim sighed. ¡°You¡¯re too eager Fraxim. It could be a decoy.¡± ¡°Or they hid something valuable on one of those, father.¡± Of course, Frekim knows that. That¡¯s why he send ships after them. He looked at the five sectors in which the ships from Tellaveer had warped. ¡°Ok, pursue and retrieve, avoid destroying whatever is in it. Track the one that went into Sector 17-AC.¡± ¡°Thank you, father.¡± . . . The ship, for the past hour or so he thought, have been quiet. Justy wished he could hear the purring of the ship¡¯s engine, but there was none. Even the ship was a marvel of Science and engineering, Justy thought, and much more the concept of ¡®warping¡¯ still boggled his mind. ¡°Hello, Crabtree are you there?¡± Justy asked while sitting in a metal throne-like chair. ¡°Damn, human. Why do have to talk to me?¡± ¡°Uh, well. It¡¯s only two of us here.¡± Justy realized something. ¡°Could it be you were programmed to respond to me?¡± ¡°Duh? Of course. Get on with it, what do you want?¡± ¡°That¡¯s why you were not talking since the entire time I have been on this suit.¡± Justy nodded, as if he realized something big. ¡°Where we going?¡± ¡°Sector 17-AC.¡± Justy shook his head. ¡°Where is that?¡± ¡°Do you really want to know?¡± ¡°Not really, but I wanna know why we are going there?¡± ¡°That¡¯s not our destination. After we get there, were going to warp again, three more times.¡± Justy grimaced. He realized that such precautions usually mean they might have been followed. He doesn¡¯t know the dynamics of space travel, but the fact that the enemy got too close to the Tellaveer means the enemy has marked them. Or, worse, someone tipped them off. ¡°This mission, who else knew this? Excluding myself.¡± Justy asked. ¡°Oh please, you didn¡¯t even know this mission to begin with.¡± Fair point. Justy thought. ¡°Only four. Chief Engineer Drykkon, Chief Scientist Mu, Captain Ga¡¯lek , and me of course. I am that important, it¡¯d be best for you to remember that.¡± Only three key personnel in Tellaveer. It was worse than he thought. How could I trust them, when they couldn¡¯t even trust their own people? Justy asked himself. ¡°Crabtree, what is your prime directive?¡± Crabtree sighed. ¡°As much as I hate it, I have to help whoever stinking being is piloting the suit with the best of my faculties. But that doesn¡¯t mean I have to like them.¡± ¡°What¡¯s mine?¡± ¡°Dr. Mu didn¡¯t tell you?¡± Justy shook his head. ¡°I can¡¯t tell if you shook your head or just looked around aimlessly, you idiot.¡± Justy shrugged. He felt silly being scolded by an A.I. ¡°No, she didn¡¯t tell me anything about it. She only told me about the Frennins and their planet.¡± ¡°She should¡¯ve told you.¡± ¡°That?¡± ¡°Gather allies.¡± Crabtree said. ¡°It¡¯s a futile mission. Basically, they wanted whoever in this suit to gather allies to fight back the Frennin¡¯s regime.¡± ¡°Why it¡¯s futile?¡± ¡°Frennin Galactic Empire is currently the master of Universe. They have millions of ships in their arsenal, they have stolen unbelievable technology from various civilizations. They have slaved countless planets and harvested their resources and amassed a fortune so great that they could literally do everything they want.¡± ¡°Like destroying Earth?¡± ¡°Yes, and much worse.¡± ¡°I reckon the time of doing whatever they want will come to an end.¡± Justy looked past the window, but he only saw flickering lights, he reasoned it was the result of the ship being warped. ¡°I will make sure of it.¡± . . . The cold breeze, the chimes of the bell, the overly decorated Christmas tree. It was the season almost every children loved. Well, who wouldn¡¯t? To a child, this is the day they will receive some present from their parents ¨Cor santa. ¡°Justy, open your present now. Your father and I picked it for you.¡± A woman in her early thirties said. She has curly dark hair, a little chubby but not too fat. ¡°Oh, thank you, mom.¡± Justy said. Justy couldn¡¯t hide his excitement and ripped the wrapping. ¡°Now, now. Careful, son.¡± His father said. He was a thin man. He was in his thirties also, but he looked older because of his bony physique. It was a box with the logo of his favorite cartoon character printed on the cover. ¡°So cool, a jigsaw puzzle!¡± Justy loved the present. ¡°Not just jigsaw, Justy. It was a thousand piece Jigsaw puzzle.¡± His mom exclaimed. They knew Justy loved puzzles, in truth, loved every kind of puzzles he could get his hands on. ¡°Pop, how long do you think I could finish this?¡± Justy asked. ¡°Well, considering it took you almost a day to finish that 500 piece jigsaw before, I¡¯d say two days son.¡± ¡°I¡¯ll finish it in a day and a half then.¡± His father laughed. ¡°Oh, you¡¯re on, young man.¡± Justy looked at the box and couldn¡¯t help but smile. He then looked back to his parents to say his thanks. But their faces was gone. Literally, blank. Their body was still there but they gave the impression that they were shrinking or possibly the distance between them is getting longer. ¡°Mum, pop?¡± ¡°Wake up.¡± Justy heard. But the sound didn¡¯t came from his parents. ¡°Hey skinny, wake up! You have elevated heartbeat. You were having nightmares.¡± Justy jerked out of sleep . He didn¡¯t even remembered when he had fallen asleep. ¡°How long was I out?¡± ¡°82 standard minutes and 20 seconds. You were out during the second jump. We¡¯re getting close to our destination. I suggests you eat something.¡± ¡°Ok, is there any food here?¡± Justy asks. Then something opened in his armchair. It looked like a green sugar cube with the same rough texture but different color. The other is a red pill. ¡°What¡¯s this?¡± ¡°Calories, nutrients, multivitamins and water. Everything an earthling would need to survive for weeks.¡± He gulped down the provisions. He was skeptical at first, but it sated his hunger quite fast. In a matter of seconds, he felt satisfied. ¡°And¡ we¡¯re here.¡± It was a spectacle. The planet was surrounded by two moons. The slightly smaller moon has dull shade of yellow. The other has mahogany-like features. The planet itself, which is probably hundred times bigger than its two moons combined, bathed in green, with touch of the color of the sand and occasional magma color. Nevertheless, it was beautiful. Justy stood and went for a closer look. ¡°Where are we?¡± ¡°Planet Bigot, D521 galaxy, Sardon Supercluster, 4.5 billion light-years away from earth.¡± ¡°What are we doing here? Are there any potential allies here to recuit?¡± ¡°That¡¯s one of the prerogative, but mostly we are here to train. If you are thinking of toppling the Frennin¡¯s regime, then you need power. If you think at your current state you could made the strongest faction in the universe collapse, then you are in a world of pain, you scrawny earthling.¡± ¡°¡Commencing landing procedure¡¡± The ship computer voice said. It was from a woman. Justy liked how soothing the voice was. ¡°¡Atmospheric condition: 51.2901% Oxygen, 10.8771% Nitrogen, 23.1010% Phosporus, Argon 8.5101%, Helium 3.2221%, 1.1119% Hydrogen, 1.2511% Carbon dioxide and 0.636% Methane...¡± ¡°¡Gravity at an average of 12g...¡± ¡°That¡¯s a lot of oxygen, Crabtree. Are you sure I could survive down there, with such atmosphere?¡± ¡°Oh, trust me, that¡¯s the least of your worries.¡± ¡°Instead of foreshadowing, you could just tell me what I might encounter down there.¡± This story has been stolen from Royal Road. If you read it on Amazon, please report it ¡°Shit, you¡¯re no fun. The planet is hostile, that much is obvious, since I told you we¡¯re here to train.¡± ¡°Is there any¡ you know¡scary aliens out there?¡± ¡°Yeah and most likely they are very hungry right now and they have a taste for earthlings¡± Bam* Justy got thrown away and hit the floor. ¡°What was that?¡± ¡°Some greetings from the locals. We¡¯re under attack, brace yourselves.¡± Crabtree said. ¡°¡Power Coupling took major damage¡¡± The ship took another hit and it shook violently thrashing Justy everywhere. The ship was now crashing rapidly. ¡°Waaaaaaaaaaaaaahh.¡± Justy shouted. He remembered the time when he rode the Drop tower with his friends. But this time, the feeling is hundred times worse. Justy continued shouting at the top of his lungs. I am gonna die, he thought fervently. The ship stopped abruptly. The safety mechanism for crash landing had successfully kept the ship from blowing into pieces. Justy hit the roof of the ship but he felt no pain. A message appeared in the upper corner of his HUD.
Your suit had suffered damages by poorly absorbing the natural inertia. Would you like to learn a skill to better counter the effects of Inertia? [Y / N]
¡°Yes, thank you.¡± Justy panted.

You have been shouting a lot. Would you like to register this action as a skill? By doing so, different aspects of the specific action could improve. [Y / N]
Seriously? Justy thought. ¡°ok, yes.¡±

¡°Stand up, scrawny. We have crash landed in a more hostile location than the original plan.¡± Justy feeling groggy took his time to stand. ¡°What do you mean more hostile location?¡± ¡°Just bring out your weapon.¡± ¡°Release Rache.¡±
Dimensional Storage have leveled up by 1. -Energy consumed in doing the action decreased by 2%. -Time to complete the action decreased by 1.5%.
Justy held his rifle just like how his character in his favorite Tactical shooting game did. ¡°What now?¡± ¡°Accessed map functions. Activate All-detect mode.¡± Crabtree said. Then a small map appeared in the lower right corner of his HUD. He saw two objects coming towards the center. ¡°Be warned, your map has now limited capacity. We could only see bogeys from a kilometer radius. Go out and meet the one who brought the ship down.¡± The door opened partially. Justy had to crouch to get out. He took a step and realized based on the wet ground he just stepped on that they might¡¯ve landed on a swamp. The surrounding was covered in a thick miasma. Justy could barely see anything. ¡°Use enhanced vision. It¡¯s one of the Suit¡¯s innate abilities.¡± Justy obeyed Crabtree suggestions. He ordered in his mind to activate it. The entire surrounding changed into a bluish like screen. But this time, he could somehow looked past through the mists. It was a swamp, with thick and tall grass in some part of it. Justy looked carefully on his map. The details of the locations of the bogeys were placed below them. He saw, Dist: 450m | Elev: 200m¡Ï23.96o |¡Ï21o , below the nearest bogey in his map. Justy understood what it meant, or rather it could only mean one thing, and that is the enemies are airborne. He looked around to find some cover, but he could only saw the ship. He ran away from the ship, on the off chance they would attack the ship instead of him. Though, he couldn¡¯t ran that fast in a 15g environment, and the mud didn¡¯t help either. But he was a lot faster when he ran under 20g back in the Tellaveer. He slouched and point his rifle to the ship. ¡°Incoming.¡± Crabtree said. The warning was redundant. One, Justy could see it on his map. Two, he could hear the buzzing getting stronger. Much like he predicted, two green bugs, flew around the ship. They were massive than any flying living animal on earth. They sort of look like a mosquito because of the tube elongating on their head. Just like in a video game. A cross-hair appeared in his HUD when he pointed at one of them. Justy put on his game face. He still looked the same, you couldn¡¯t even tell if he is serious. But one thing his friends knew from experience playing alongside Justy was that, he could create miracles when he''s dead serious. Justy took the shot. He used the incendiary rounds. A rapid burst came out of his rifle. He liked that his rifle let out only a minimal recoil. The bug took most of the hit. But the bullet that strayed on its wings made it stumbled to the ground. The other bug started to flew higher. Then, it lunged at him. Justy opened fire, but the bug continued his approach to him. Justy rolled to the ground to avoid the incoming attack. He quickly get up and eyed the bug. It was fast for his size, but not fast enough for Justy to lose sight of it. Justy followed the movement of the bug with his rifle. One thing that would differentiate a newbie from an experienced gamer is that, they usually aimed to where the target is, instead of aiming it to where it will be. But Justy was no beginner. In a few seconds and a burst of incendiary rounds. The bug went down as it left a trail of smoke before it hit the ground. ¡°Beginner¡¯s luck.¡± Crabtree said. Justy clasped his rifle. He looked badass. He feels like a badass. ¡°What now?¡± he said in the most badass manner he thought. ¡°Normally, I would suggest for you to harvest some materials in their body. But, it''s entirely up to you if you want to have picnic here, after all, this is not the planned location for you to train.¡± Justy nodded and noticed the sarcasm. ¡°Ok, where to then?¡± ¡°Restore map function.¡± Justy saw his map zoomed out. ¡°Did you just increased the range of the map?¡± ¡°No, I just restored it back to normal. This time though, you might not be able to detect some creatures with natural stealth capability, like the one you just killed. Look at the map, I just marked your next destination on it.¡± . . . The Bloodspawn arrived at sectory 17 AC but there was no sign of any ships but only distant stars. Fraxim roared in frustration. They were fast. But the Scrotum was faster. Justy¡¯s ship, unbeknown to him, was equipped with one of the fastest engine in the universe. It could go to 60 Million light years in just under 32 minutes. Twelve minutes faster than the Bloodspawn. ¡°Find them, use that device.¡± Fraxim shouted. ¡°Aye sir. But the device says our target had warped three more times. It would take us days before the device could figure out their exact location, sir¡± ¡°How long?¡± ¡°Three or four days, sir.¡± Fraxim bellowed. ¡°Dammit. How could we let them escape?¡± ¡°Their ship was faster than us, sir.¡± Fraxim stood up. He eyed to the array of his personnel. ¡°Who said that?¡± The room fell silent. Fraxim drew his blaster from the holster in his hip. ¡°Who said that? I¡¯m not gonna ask again.¡± One of the guy raised his hands reluctantly. ¡°I-I¡¯m sorry, sir. I didn¡¯t mean to?¡± Fraxim walked to get closer to the poor, and terrified sod. ¡°Are you saying, we are slow?¡± ¡°u-um¡ n-no sir.¡± ¡°Then what are you saying?¡± ¡°N-nothing sir.¡± Fraxim aimed his blaster to the guy¡¯s head. ¡°Are you saying I¡¯m a liar? Because I did hear you say something.¡± ¡°Their¡ s-ship was faster than us sir¡¡± The guy stammered. ¡°Then are you saying, our ships is slower than them?¡± ¡°I-in a way, sir. Y-yes.¡± The guy shivered in terror. Fraxim withdrew his blaster. ¡°Contact my father and asked them if they had caught the others. If that ship is indeed faster than us, then we may be after something big.¡±

A simple comment, RATING and REVIEW, would go a very long way to any author. Yeah, no kidding. It would mean a lot to me. And believe it or not, to the other authors as well. So c''mon guys, it''d just take a minute or two. Chapter 5: Rache & Reversi Chapter 5 Rache & Reversi A LOT OF THINGS WENT to Justy¡¯s mind as he dragged his feet into the mud. But even for a second, he never let his guard down. He was on the constant lookout for any objects that might appear on his map and to his surroundings. ¡°Strength +1.¡± ¡°Power +1.¡± He looked back to the ship. He couldn¡¯t help but feel sad abandoning it just like that. After all, it was his first actual space ship. Justy adored the ship, regardless of its name and the short time they have been together. If he could have his way, he wouldn¡¯t leave it in the open just like that. ¡°Crabtree, what about our ship?¡± ¡°What about it?¡± ¡°Are we going to leave it just like that?¡± ¡°That¡¯s the least of your worries, boney.¡± ¡°Well, how could we get off this planet without a ship?¡± ¡°I have activated its cloak and repair function. If the damage is not big, the repair bots could fix it.¡± Justy felt relieved hearing that Scrotum will be in good hands. Enhanced Vision and Dimensional Storage were the two innate abilities of the Suit he had used so far. He wondered what other abilities the suit had. He also remembered that the Suit learned some abilities because of his actions. Like how he acquired Roar, by shouting at the top of his lungs several times. He smiled when he thought of things he could do. ¡°Are there any more innate abilities this Suit had that I don¡¯t know of?¡± ¡°Not much. This is a prototype suit after all. It has limited capacity. It has less power and less CEN¡¯s.¡± Crabtree said. ¡°It has only four innate abilities. The suit has a weird Cloak mode. I warned you not trust on it, it¡¯s a very inefficient technology.¡± Justy nodded. ¡°What¡¯s the last one?¡± ¡°Assimilation.¡± ¡°Assimilation?¡± ¡°Yeah, Assimilation.¡± Justy sighed. Assimilation skill, Justy whispered.
AssimilationLevel 1 | 0.00%
By feeding the CEN¡¯s with a right amount of a specific material or object. The CEN¡¯s could replicate its properties. The higher the quality of the material, the greater the amount and time needed for the CEN¡¯s to completely assimilate it. Also, the residue in the process will be fed into the antimatter engine to be annihilated.
Justy uprooted one of the grass. ¡°Assimilate.¡± Justy said. He felt some movement in his right arm. Then the black stuff, the CENs, covered the grass. All in all, it took four seconds before the entire grass vanished from his hand. Like a strong acid eating through everything it touches.

Justy uprooted another grass and another. ¡°Strength +1.¡± ¡°Power + 1.¡± ¡°What are you doing?¡± ¡°Don¡¯t you find it strange? Except those two bugs, we have not yet encountered any aliens in this swamp.¡± ¡°Yeah, you¡¯re lucky. So what about it?¡± Justy shrugged. ¡°I don¡¯t think it¡¯s about luck. This grass and this thick miasma, most likely, is very toxic to them.¡± ¡°What do you plan to do with it then?¡± Justy looked back again to his ship. He smiled knowing it will be safer than he is about to be. ¡°Extract whatever is in it. Is there any better way to do that?¡± ¡°The default setting of the skill is to assimilate physical properties.¡± Crabtree said. Justy nodded. Assimilate Chemical properties, focus on harmful substances, Justy thought. Again, the grasses he held vanished gradually in his hands as the CENs eat through it.
Analysis complete: Two toxins found: -Amino Tetrachlorodibenzo-p-dioxin -Diacetoxyscirpenol Individual Toxin Assimilation: 4%
Not enough, huh. Justy thought. He scuffled to the ground and dug up loads of grass. It took him thirty minutes to finish the assimilation while under constant nagging of Crabtree to hurry his ass off. ¡°Strength +1.¡± ¡°Power +1.¡±
You can now rearrange any matter, with the help of CENs, into these different toxins: -Amino Tetrachlorodibenzo-p-dioxin -Diacetoxyscirpenol
Assimilation Skill have leveled up. -2% less material needed in assimilation process -1.5% less time needed in assimilation process -3% less energy required in assimilation process
¡°Produce the toxins that is harmful in non-carbon based life form in liquid form.¡± Justy said. ¡°Inject it in Rache rifle left chamber.¡± The residue in the assimilation process that was supposed to go into the Antimatter matter engine was rearranged to be a liquefied version of Diacetoxyscirpenol. The nanites understood Justy¡¯s command and injected the liquid in his rifle. Justy grinned when he saw the chamber being filled up by blue liquid. He clasped Rache in the Air. ¡°Let¡¯s go.¡± ¡°Oh, finally. For a second there I thought you were going to eat all those grass.¡± Justy laughed. ¡°By the way, this toxic gases. Is there a chance it¡¯ll affect me if I stay here too long.¡± ¡°Please don¡¯t tell me you plan on sleeping here.¡± Crabtree said. ¡°Worry about that if the Suit¡¯s power gets dangerously low. It will prioritize more important function than filtering the air.¡± Justy looked at the Energy notification in the upper right corner of his HUD. It says 76%. ¡°What¡¯s more important than filtering the air?¡± ¡°Losing a major organ. More or less.¡± Justy grimaced. ¡°I¡¯ll make sure to keep my organs intact then.¡± Justy took another step but this time the ground was hard. The miasma that was overflowing in the swamp became less. He could see more clearly now, but his vision were partly blocked by gigantic trees. He looked up to see how tall the trees were. But he only saw leaves. Different looking leaves with the size of an adult¡¯s open palm. The trees itself were covered in vines, thick as a human arm. The forest was awfully quiet. This time there¡¯s no more toxic miasma fuming everywhere. But Jusy would gladly go back to that toxic swamp, at least there he wouldn¡¯t have to worry about some Aliens hiding into those trees. Justy slowed his pace. There¡¯s too many openings and Justy didn¡¯t liked that. His only comfort was that his chances of being surrounded would be significantly lower. He has an idea on how to use those massive trees to his advantage. Justy heard some rustling. But saw nothing when he quickly turned. Justy loved the thrill in games, but this time he is feeling a lot more than thrill. In games, you can reset to your save point, but this time there was no save point. This time the stakes are real. One wrong move and the game is over. Most players would lose a nerve at this stage of the game. But not Justy. His experience in competitive gaming where the stakes would go as high as thousands of dollars had molded his heart to become tough as steel, had modified his veins to flow ice water, to not falter in crucial moments. And this is a crucial moment. Justy strode towards his destination while constantly looking both ways. ¡°Can I use the Suit¡¯s cloak function? Because it would be very helpful at this moment.¡± ¡°Try it.¡± ¡°Cloak function info.¡± Justy whispered.
Cloak The CEN¡¯s dynamically scans the surrounding area and alters its skin color to match in real-time with the use of Nano-crystalline properties. Capable of fully absorbing or bending incoming wave spectrums such as visible light, radiowaves (Radar), Infrared (Thermal Imaging), and possibly microwaves or others, to render itself completely invisible to most surveillance equipment. However swift and sudden movement could create distorted effect around the Suit and could reveal your position. Use with caution: High energy consumption. It is advised to deal your initial attack to the target¡¯s weak spot to maximize cloaking capability and avoid detection.
¡°Activate Cloak.¡± Justy said. His hands were gone and so as his lower body. His rifle, however, remained. ¡°Uhmm, I think my gun is visible.¡± ¡°Yeah, no kidding. Your weapons has no stealthing capability, only your Suit. I told you it¡¯s a very inefficient function.¡± ¡°Capture Rache.¡± Justy sighed with disappointment. He marched along the gigantic forest in Cloak mode. The trees, though massive, were not evenly spaced apart. Justy doesn¡¯t know if there was sunlight peering through into the forest. His enhanced vision makes him see everything in bluish color. The author''s narrative has been misappropriated; report any instances of this story on Amazon. He noticed his Suit has now 68% Energy. He suspected the combined usage of Enhanced Vision and Cloak is draining the Suit¡¯s energy faster than before. Still, he decided not to turn it off yet. After all, the danger is ever present. He sidle around a huge tree blocking his path. A moment too late and Justy could have crushed a seemingly spherical objects in the ground. They were the size of a tennis ball. When Justy looked past the tree, he saw more of this objects. These objects, however, stick with each other forming some sort of cluster. Each cluster, Justy estimated, have at least five or six of them glued together and were covered with some sticky fluids. Justy took a step back. He has a hunch of what it could be. He¡¯d rather not wait and find out more about it. His senses were all tingling and saying those, quite possibly, eggs are bad news. But he was too late. Small glowing lights started to appear every second. He swore he didn¡¯t, accidentally or intentionally, created any sound. He knows it was not his body heat, for the Suit was doing a wonderful job concealing it. Must be the smell, he thought. No matter what it was, the fact remains that something, or a lot of things, have woken up from their slumber. His breathing grew faster as the number of the small, round lights increases. Justy didn¡¯t dare to move. But his heart thumped violently in his chest. Justy glanced, without moving his head, sideways looking for an escape route. Instead, he saw more of those small gleaming lights. He was unarmed. ¡°Do not move.¡± Crabtree said softly. ¡°What do you think I am doi-¡° Justy couldn¡¯t believe it. The legs, which was divided by a three joints and arched in a semi parabolic manner, stood three meters tall. And it has six of them. Six hairy, thick, tapered legs. The body, almost touching the ground, looks like a saucer. With all the hairs around it and eyes gleaming in red. But Justy with his enhanced vision couldn¡¯t tell if their eyes were red. And that their body was painted with orange and interspersed with some rich brown color. It was only one. And then came another and another and another. They all went for their eggs. The creatures raised their body and let out a gas from what looked like their butt. The creatures propelled the gas directly into their eggs and it frothed. Every single one of them did the same thing. Soon, the surrounding area was doused. And so was Justy. Froth covered his entire suit. Something in it had disrupted the Cloak function. Justy knows that because a message appeared in his HUD. Uh oh, Justy said to himself fully knowing the grave danger he is currently in. The intensity of the small lights grew stronger. Justy can¡¯t see their eyes, but he¡¯s positive they were all looking at him. If there was no Suit, Justy¡¯s sweat would have poured all over, alas, every moisture, sweat, urine were all being, without his knowing, recycled back to his body. ¡°Run! You idiot!¡± Crabtree said. There¡¯s only one place he knew that might be safe. And he ran towards it. ¡°Speed +1¡± ¡°Power +1¡± The froth in his suit chipped away gradually as he ran back to the swamp. ¡°Release Reversi.¡± Justy said. He knows the importance of having a weapon. He didn¡¯t released Rache because of its length. He¡¯d rather not lose his only rifle hitting some tree. ¡°Disengage.¡± He took the white Reversi and held it on his left hand. He glanced into his map and saw several objects converging on his position. He had a head start but they were closing in fast. Those unbelievably long legs were not just for show. ¡°Speed +1.¡± ¡°Power +1.¡± Justy took a gamble. Instead of going straight back to the swamp he deviated to the right side. And the spider-like creatures followed. He was hoping they would slow down in turns. But Justy was wrong. He forgot to take into account that the forest was where this creatures live. It was their home and their territory. The creatures who were after him, through millions of years of evolution, have above average agility and speed, and those numerous giant trees blocking every path forced them to develop muscles to make quick turns. Justy just delayed his escape. With no more tricks up on his sleeve, he ran fast as he can back to the swamp. He fired his blaster, the black Reversi, to the back while running hoping the sound might dissuade them to stop chasing him. ¡°What were you shooting there?¡± Crabtree asked. ¡°Just keep your eyes forward. I got eyes in your back.¡± Justy was glad that he is not actually alone. That¡¯s right, he has Crabtree with his horrible personality and all. But the respite was over. There were still countless spider-like creatures hot on his ass. They have marked him rendering his cloak function useless. The froth-like substance were meant to fertilize their eggs. So imagine the surprise of the spider-like creatures when some of their stuff were moving away from their nest. Their motherly instinct kicked off and went after Justy, who they deemed a threat to their offsprings. ¡°Speed + 1.¡± ¡°Duck!¡± shouted Crabtree. Justy didn¡¯t know what it was, but he obeyed. It was a front leg sweep aimed at his head. And he dodged it perfectly. The creatures had caught up on him and still no sight of the swamp. ¡°Fuck it!¡± Justy said as he turned right having his back into one of the trees. ¡°Capture Reversi, Release Rache.¡± After switching his weapons, he peeked quickly at his map. He turned around and used the blaster (the main muzzle) in the first creature he saw. He didn¡¯t bother to see if it was dead. He ran and quickly turned his body to shoot another creature at his left. ¡°One more to your right, 4 o¡¯clock.¡± Crabtree warned. He shot at it. This time, again, he didn¡¯t use incendiary rounds or the infused rounds, though he was tempted. He prefers one shot, one kill. Although, he was not sure if he was actually killing them with one blast of highly explosive rounds. ¡°Roll to the ground.¡± Crabtree said. He rolled, but more like tumbled. He spun, aimed and shot. The first he shot was the one who just nearly impaled him with its two legs. Then he aimed to his right and took another shot. Every time when they got too close at him, Crabtree informs him and he shoots them. Thanks to Crabtree¡¯s timely warning, he was able to avoid attacks. And soon, a familiar sight of fuming miasma neared ahead. But the hope of escaping back to the swamp vanished like a puff of smoke when several spider-like creatures blocked his path. He shot a burst of incendiary rounds and followed it with HE rounds. This time he saw the one he shot staggered and bent. He then shot another. The first one he shot recovered and getting back up. He stopped and skidded for a bit. He pressed the two triggers in Rache, which were the two ancillary functions, the infused rounds and the incendiary rounds. Pressing the last trigger will invoke the high concentrated explosive rounds. He didn¡¯t have his fingers on the main muzzle trigger yet. Because of its slow rate of fire, Justy reserves it when they got too close. He shot a controlled burst of both rounds to each creatures in front of him. Then he ran straight to them with continuous fire. He fired the HE rounds to their legs. Their body might be tough but their legs weren¡¯t able to absorb the explosion. The blast was not enough to completely destroy the legs. Their hide was really tough. But it was enough to induce compound fractures. The creature who just had its legs broken, crumbled under its own weight. Justy saw the opportunity and he rushed to grab it. He sprinted towards the fallen creature. He captured Rache and released Reversi and disengaged it as well. With the creature¡¯s body blocking the way. Justy jumped, and during midair he stretched his arms outward while shooting the other creatures sideways. ¡°Speed +1.¡± ¡°Power +1.¡± Or at least, that¡¯s what he envisioned. What really happened was less¡ dramatic. He¡¯d done it right up to the point where he disengaged Reversi. On the jump, however, he failed miserably. The Suit, with only nine Strength, wasn¡¯t enough to hurdle the obstacle before him. He was supposed to land at the top of the creature, with his feet, but he landed with his face. ¡°Fucking idiot.¡± Crabtree laughed. Just like when you slipped on a public place and you stood up so quickly and you refused to look around and acted as if nothing happened. Justy did just that. But there was no time to reminisce and laugh at his misfortune, for the creatures were still there. And this time, it was their chance. Crabtree warned him and Justy jumped away from the body just in time before getting impaled by several pointed legs. He ran and ran. ¡°Speed +1.¡± ¡°Power +1.¡± He managed to take a deep breath when he stepped on a muddy ground. Normally, one would not want to rush into a toxic swamp, but Justy was not normal, he became different when he equipped the Suit. He had become something else, he had become more machine than human, and this toxic swamp was his salvation.

Chapter 6: The Space Pirate & The Bounty Hunter Chapter 6 The Space Pirate and the Bounty Hunter . . . . . . HISTORY TELLS US THAT THERE WERE always, regardless of races or species, willing to step up in the face of an adversity. Beings who rouse others up to take a stand against the rising tide of oppression. Beings who decided they had enough and that for something to change, they had to do it themselves. But this was neither the case for the captain of a band of space pirates, infamous for their raiding and marauding acts, especially to numerous Frennin¡¯s outpost throughout the universe. Their atrocious acts against the Frennin¡¯s empire resounded the trumpet of hope and rekindle a dying flame. They have become a symbol. A symbol of hope to the oppressed, strength to the weak, courage to those who fear, righteousness to those who have been wronged, joy to those who grieve and suffer. But to her, it is purely business, to her nothing is ever personal, to her the Frennins are merely a purse, a source of income, and a very thick one at that. And she plans to take everything in it with the best of her and her comrade¡¯s unique abilities. ¡°Fuck you, bitch! You don¡¯t know who you¡¯re dealing with!¡± ¡°Why, who are you? Nah, never mind, not interested.¡± She said with her indifferent voice while trying to loot the room. ¡°Captain Levvy,¡± One of her comrade whispered something to a woman clad in metal-shined, azure-striped armored suit. Her helmet, tossed aside in the table, revealed her velvet dreadlocks as it swayed roughly when she walks. Her almond eyes curiously stalks the prisoner, while her face blue as sky appears so serene, effortlessly hiding her true, twisted nature. ¡°He¡¯s Refikom. Fifth son of Frekim Mondragon.¡± Levvy nodded and her sapphire lips starts to quiver with ecstasy. She went closer to the tied and knelled Refikom. She lifted, with the tip of the barrel of her gun, Refikom¡¯s red chin. His crimson neck suggests he was very thin compared to his brother, Fraxim. The resemblance, however, was evident. ¡°Look, what we have here. A lost sea lamb. I wonder how much your daddy is willing to pay for your safety.¡± Levvy said. Refikom¡¯s body jumped when Levvy pulled the trigger. But his head remained intact as Levvy laughed. ¡°Throw him to the brig.¡± ordered Levvy. ¡°You¡¯ll have your time, bitch.¡± Refikom said. ¡°And when it comes, I will personally skin you ali-urgh.¡± One of his comrade punched his gut. ¡°He talks too much, Cap.¡± ¡°Thanks, Vulor.¡± Levvy said to her comrade who towered at least two and half meters and loomed, with his grey armored Suit, over Refikom that made the prisoner looked like a child. ¡°Now, let¡¯s scour this planet upside down. If that bearded sea buffoon was willing to send his own son to this forsaken desert, means something is of value here.¡± . . . Justy, with the Suit¡¯s power at 50%, compelled him to use a tad of his own strength to be amplified by the Suit. Filtered air excessively goes through and out of his Suit to his lungs as he tries to calm himself down. With the threat temporarily gone, Justy examined his map. ¡°Strength +1.¡± ¡°Power +1.¡± Several objects begun to scatter away from him. ¡°Were they hibernating or some stealth ability?¡± Justy asked as he wondered how his map wasn¡¯t able to spot them before. ¡°What now, Crabtree?¡± ¡°It is imperative that we arrive at our real destination.¡± ¡°Why? What¡¯s out there?¡± ¡°Captain Ga¡¯lek¡¯s brother.¡± Justy nodded. ¡°Alright, first, why is he here?¡± ¡°This place was his hideout, also, he¡¯s the co-creator of the Ultherion Suit, his knowledge and insight will be very valuable to you.¡± Justy understood that, who best could teach him about the Suit other than one who invented it. He understood the need to meet the Veerian, however, he knew it wasn¡¯t going to be easy, the countless spider-like creatures inhabiting in the forest, which was the shortest path to the marked destination, were now eager to kill him. ¡°No choice, then,¡± Justy said. ¡°We have to make a detour.¡± ¡°Won¡¯t you try again? But this time you would be very, extra quiet.¡± ¡°No, I will not try again!¡± Justy said, a little pissed. ¡°And it¡¯s not a matter of going there quietly.¡± ¡°Fine, have it your way.¡± Justy checked his map. It displayed numerous details, like mountains, rivers, trees, though not detailed as thebsatellite mapping technology, which earth had, but a lot more thorough than the conventional SONAR mapping. ¡°Let¡¯s go, we will go around the river.¡± Justy said. ¡°Oh man, that would take us two days before reaching the outpost.¡± ¡°Safe, slow and steady wins the race, Crabtree.¡± ¡°Sounds like an excuse.¡± . . . The Bloodspawn ¨C Sector 17AC ¡°Sir, we have a problem.¡± Fraxim roared with frustration. Things haven¡¯t been going well for him since he left the Death parade, and the news of his brother getting abducted infuriates him even more. ¡°What is it this time?¡± ¡°S-sir, the enemy¡¯s ship warped too close into a massive black hole. It messed up the tachyon readings in the area.¡± The operator muttered trying to hold on to his wits. ¡°T-the device needs more time to track them, probably a week sir.¡± Fraxim fell silent. Everybody in the ship, especially at the bridge, wanted to run for their lives, but they knew it would even anger him more. As the saying goes, a loud Mondragons are scary and shit, but you¡¯ll never want to be in a bad side of a silent Mondragons. ¡°Those bastards are smart.¡± Fraxim said, slow but piercing. The room sank. Fraxim stood. ¡°I¡¯ll be on my room.¡± But before he turned around, he drew his blaster and shot the operator in cold blood. Bits of purple flesh and blood painted the monitor. ¡°Find someone to replace him.¡± He said, coolly and detached. . . . Frekim cracked the legs of Creonions bugs, dipped it with Gorbazon sauce; an extinct cuisine found only in Planet Creto, and sucked it wildly. It was his favorite meal, however, it didn¡¯t even, one bit, sated his anger when the news of his son getting abducted reached his red ears. He hammered his fists into the table, his lips twitched violently as he tries to word his anger, but to no avail. It took him almost a minute to finally say one thing. ¡°Triple the reward on that bitch, no, make it five times, seven times. I want every bounty hunters on this universe to want a piece of her.¡± ¡°Yes, sir.¡± Said his assistant, thin, tall, dressed in purple elaborate clothing that cover most of his body except his dull, red, bone-riddled face . Seven times the original bounty of the Space pirate was a fortune, a fortune so great you could even buy a small planet. It was excessive, yet he dared not say. ¡°Droge, were the package secure?¡± ¡°Refikom hides it well, they will not find it sir.¡± Frekim ran his webbed fingers to his beard ¡°how about the Tellaveer?¡± Frekim asked. ¡°We are still in pursuit sir, they are elusive, but it¡¯s only a matter of time. But given that, if any other Commanders in Frennin Empire was given with this task, they might not even see the tail end of the ship.¡± Droge said, not so subtle but no so over the top praise. Just enough to make Frekim smile. Frekim nodded. ¡°Fraxim?¡± ¡°His report insinuates that they might be after the jackpot and he said, he planned to go after it at all costs.¡± Frekim smiled. ¡°Hmm. That¡¯s good. Should I release the Bloodhounds to get Refikom back?¡± Droge¡¯s face, calm and emotionless it may seem, flushed down in the drain. His eyes showed contempt and disgusts. ¡°I apologize for being incapable of giving a sound advice on this matter, sir.¡± ¡°I see you still don¡¯t like them.¡± ¡°I don¡¯t trust them, sir, efficient as they may be.¡± ¡°Alright, I¡¯ll bench them this time, but if the bounty hunters fails, I am setting them loose.¡± . . . ¡°Oh ho ho, what have you done now, Levvy.¡± said Snyder out loud while looking at his electronic tablet. A poster of Levvy¡¯s face with a very appealing sum below it. ¡°Call Levvy.¡± He said, though his voice muffled. The tablet went black. His face and head covered, with black gas mask that is suitable to any known atmosphere; with vision goggles that can detect heat, electronic, radiation and other signatures; with hood, that bends lights and hides every signal his equipment emits, reflected on his tablet. ¡°What do you want Snyder.¡± Levvy said with her usual jaded look. ¡°Just a heads up girl, I am thinking of applying in the long, growing list of the beings who wanted you so badly they put a very attractive reward. Well, nothing personal, you know that right.¡± This narrative has been purloined without the author''s approval. Report any appearances on Amazon. Levvy laughed. ¡°Be my guest, Snyder. But I assure you it¡¯s a pretty long list, and I don¡¯t plan on giving you a special treatment this time.¡± --Connection terminated-- ¡°Well, that¡¯s it then. Let me hunt this small fry for now.¡± Snyder stood. The barkeeper with five eyes and six arms looked at him. ¡°Where you going, you punk. Don¡¯t think of ditching your tab here.¡± He has long, rough-looking, green scaly face with red-pointed tongue which slithers every time he talks. Snyder drew his sidearm, but before he could aim it to the barkeeper, six blasters all held by the barkeeper were aimed at him. ¡°Don¡¯t get cute with me punk, or I¡¯ll blow your heads off. ¡°Oh ho ho, relax, Nannula, a.k.a Greeko the Sixslinger.¡± The barkeeper fired all his blasters and Snyder¡¯s torn limbs flew aimlessly, he spat on the floor and said. ¡°Fucking bounty hunters.¡± ¡°Where do you think you were shooting at, Greeko?¡± Snyder said, sat in the counter, covered with sand cloak and sipping a cold extract, with an intricate straw, of Falunjan cactus. ¡°Sonnuva--------grrrrrrh¡° The barkeeper¡¯s body trembled. His buttery, diamond-shaped pupils turned white, as ten thousands volts of electricity passed through his body. ¡°Greeko, the Sixslinger, by the power of the Fifth Sector of Intergalactic Justice system, I am arresting you for your crimes against: one-hundred twenty Vrekons, twenty-one Czehals, oh fuck it, you¡¯re coming with me.¡± . . .

Greater Heat Resistance

Billions of CEN''s in your Suit destroying and recreating themselves every second, now your Suit can resists Heat Flow due to a greater thermal gradient. (Note: Subjecting the Suit in a higher temperature than the Suit can adopt may lead to multiple CEN''s loss.)
It was river of molten lava and rocks flowing ever slowly. If he follows the river southwest, it will take him two days to reach the outpost, assuming there won¡¯t be any hostile aliens along the way. And he got the feeling there will be. The ground was uneven, yet hard, rock hard. It made him wary of the ground and at the same time any aliens that might popped out unannounced. He even distanced himself in the river, trusting it that there may be an aliens swimming leisurely in the flowing magma. Justy became more cautious after his scuffle with the spider-like creatures. Every nook and crannies, he expects something will come out of it. Yes, he became more than cautions, more than wary, he is now traversing the borders of paranoia. ¡°Yeah nice job, at this rate, we will be there in no time.¡± Crabtree said. Justy turned on his All-detect mode map. It was risky since he might not be able to see incoming aliens outside a kilometer radius, but he doesn¡¯t care. He¡¯d rather prepare himself to any hostiles near him, particular to those with stealth capability. The ground shook for a second, then another. Justy quickly looked in his map, but there was nothing. The tremor has an interval of a few seconds but it¡¯s getting stronger. Then an object appeared on the outskirt of his map. It was only one, yet big. The size of it being display on the map, and the strong tremors are testament of that. Justy ran, thankfully it was in the opposite direction to his destination. ¡°Strength +1.¡± ¡°Speed +1.¡± ¡°Power +1.¡±

¡°Two bogeys ahead.¡± Crabtree warned. Based on the map, they were too close in the magma river, not moving. That¡¯s a relief, Justy thought. The tremor lessened and the giant object vanished in the map. Again, Justy sighed with relief. He passed the two objects. They were drinking the magma using their long, thick grey hose, that is embedded, and took the majority of their round, grey face. Justy couldn¡¯t see their small, black eyes, but noted their ears that covered most of their stony body. They were not significantly big, a bit smaller than the adult pigs in the earth. Their two feet planted on the ground was round, with absence of fingers on it, but they look tough and thick. The other to the right is smaller, probably female, Justy thought. They were having a nice picnic, sucking the broiling magma as if it was a lemon juice. They didn¡¯t mind Justy, or rather they couldn¡¯t see Justy. He walked slowly, and dashed when he get past them. It has been four standard hours since Justy started his journey towards the outpost. Going good so far, Justy thought. He is feeling neither tired, nor hungry. But Justy was nearing the tipping point of going nuts. He thought he could brush aside the fact that he was now stranded on a hostile planet with hostile aliens, but it''s getting to him slowly. But he knew he has to keep moving. Death only awaits to those who wait so long and didn¡¯t move, proven by his experience in Shooting games and survival movies. ¡°Tell me something about Dr. Mu.¡± Justy said. ¡°Oh, boy. Dr. Mu was the youngest scientists ever accepted in the Veerian Science Academy. Her specialty involved Nanorobotics, Nanometrology, Neuroscience, Quantum mechanics, and many more. Despite a promising career in the Science Academy, Dr. Mu chose to participate in a three-year deep-space expedition led by Captain Ga¡¯lek and his brother. ¡° ¡°Were they¡ you know, Captain Ga¡¯lek and Dr. Mu together?¡± ¡°Damnit human, keep your libido in check. And no they are not. Captain Ga¡¯lek and his wife and daughter were one of the casualties on that day.¡± ¡°So around the time of their expedition, Planet Veer was destroyed.¡± Justy said. ¡°Was the Suit created after the planet Veer destroyed or way before that?¡± ¡°After. But the tech of creating it were way before Veer was destroyed, however it was intended for various purposes except warfare.¡± ¡°Was there other before me? Dr. Mu said this Suit was the prototype, that could mean it was the first and only, or a second and much improved Suit have been developed.¡± ¡°You¡¯re the second pilot. But please don¡¯t ask me about what happened to the one before you.¡± Justy sighed, he has an idea or two about what happened, but he knows it won¡¯t do him any good entertaining the idea. ¡°Alright.¡± ¡°Several bogeys at your 12 o¡¯clock.¡± ¡°Oh shit,¡± Justy said as he glanced in his map. ¡°Relax. They might just be passing by.¡±
