《Re: Beast》 Chapter 1: Day 0 - 3 Day 0 Death was surprisingly painless. From what I read in books, most stated that suicide was the ultimate taboo and what followed self-inflicted death would seemingly be endless torture and suffering as stated by the gods. But by the looks of it, they were wrong. What followed my death was a large thud and a sharp pain - before I knew it, I was in a void. The space was endless and dark. Is this what death is supposed to be like? I had expected the ultimate being that we call ¡°God¡± to judge me for the sins I had committed throughout the entirety of my life. But this... this was entirely different. The sound of the cars driving by that I had heard just mere moments ago and smell of the polluted night air had disappeared. Death was peaceful. Somehow my conscious was still alive. I could still think even though I could not feel nor do anything. My name is Lars. Just moments ago I was standing on the rooftop in my city¡¯s mall, preparing for my death. I¡¯ve had planned to commit suicide ever since I gave up on humanity. Humans are cruel, self-centered and merciless. They only care about themselves and they do not hesitate to backstab or bully others for their own amusement. With that, I swore with my dying breathe that I would never ever trust people ever again and would one day get my revenge. Isn¡¯t my dying wish lame? Having the confidence to jump off was the hardest thing I have done in my life. When I looked down from the railing, I saw cars moving at inhuman speed. Standing on the edge made my heartbeat increase. No matter how hard I tried, my body wouldn''t let the railing go. It took me an hour of convincing before closing my eyes and letting go. To be honest, I had expected time to slow down while my life flash before my eyes. But reality was harsh and my body fell and got crushed instantly when it hit the hard concrete pavement. I could feel my bones cracking and shattering into a million pieces. The grotesque sight of my blood splattering all over the mall¡¯s entrance would certainly be a sight to see. I have never seen a corpse before, I wonder how mine would look. If I was lucky, I might even make the headlines of the local newspapers. Maybe I should have prepared a last will that contain my hatred for mankind. The resentment I have for mankind is just the true feelings I had which accumulated over time. The fake smiles still scare me even after death. Getting back to the point, I was dead for sure. There was no way a fragile human being that ate potato chips all day could survive such a large fall. But where am I? All I see is darkness that stretched through the horizons. Is my punishment to stay in this void until the end of time? Within moments, I started to feel a strange feeling. As if my body was being torn apart. It wasn¡¯t painful at all. It feet as if I was being reconstructed. I was slowly taking a form of a different being. The shape that I was turning into was not that of a man for sure. It was more of a creature... As my body started to take shape I gradually started to gain back my sense of touch. The senses that I thought I¡¯ve lost for good through death were given back to me. I felt enclosed within a living creature. That thing that I was in was moving. Whenever I felt like I needed energy, something would flow down to feed my growth; which allowed me to sustain the reconstruction of my new body. The thing that confined me felt like it was protective and concern for me. It was the same nostalgic feeling that I felt when my mother took care of me when I was young. Something I haven''t felt in a long time. Soon enough, I could feel my body start to take shape. Something in my head screamed ¡°Reincarnation¡±. My bones, organs and fur were all starting to take shape. I could also feel that I was in a womb of some sort. Could this be my second chance at life? *** It has been awhile, I¡¯m not sure how long has passed. I¡¯ve realized that time does not flow relative in a womb compared to the outside world. While I was in this void, my body was built within an hour and it should be comparable to the third month of human pregnancy when the organs get created. Though I still do not have my vision back, I could feel that that my ¡°parent¡± was sick. She was moving slower than usual and the amount of energy I received lessen with every passing moment. I could also feel that the time for me to leave her womb was soon. The thought of childbirth did not excite me at all. Truthfully I was grateful that I wasn''t being reincarnated as a human being. I would like to be a bird that could fly high in the sky, experiencing freedom to the fullest. Or maybe a penguin that waddles around all day long in the snow. I read that penguins are loyal to their loved ones. *** Day 1 Another hour had passed in the void. I could tell that my new form was complete. I had four legs and was a species that had fur instead of hair. I can¡¯t wait to experience my new life. Woah. A force was pushing me out of the womb. From the looks of it, my time has finally arrived. I braced myself as I started to pass through a tube that was slimy and wet. It felt gross. Is this what childbirth feels like? The slimy wet substance acted as a lubricant to assist me in leaving the womb. I felt that I should not leave all the hard work to my new mother, so I started to push myself through the liquid as well. After a hard fought struggle and one final push I finally exited through a hole. ¡°Ahnn¡¡± My existence in the outside world was greeted by a loud moan that came from what seemed to be my mother. There I was laying on the ground that felt like hard rock covered in a slimy liquid coating. I opened my eyes for the first time to be greeted by what seemed to be a dark cave. The air was damp and the floor felt hard yet moist. My body felt weak. I was not used to such a body shape of a four legged creature. I could not stand up at all and my body felt larger than it should¡¯ve been. I felt tired. Who would¡¯ve ever knew that childbirth would be so exhausting. Turning my scrawny head to my left, the existence that seemed to be my mother was not moving. She just laid peacefully on the hard floor, not making a sound. She also had four legs with beautifully dyed black fur that covered her entire body. Her face was kind of pointy with whiskers jutting out as well. The animal she closely resembled was a fox.

What is this?! Something that looked like a status window appeared in front of me. It looked exactly the same as a stat window from video games. With the big window screen covering everything in my field of view, I could feel energy being sucked out of me. I was feeling drowsy, this was too much information for me to handle. *Yawn* Closing my heavy eyelids, I fell asleep. *** Day 2 Waking up to see my mother¡¯s carcass in front of my face was not a pretty sight. Her corpse was brutally mutilated and defiled in the worst way possible. The skin on her corpse were torn inside out. The only thing left of her once magnificent body was her skeleton and decaying flesh. At least it''s not me¡

Argh¡ That same annoying stat window appeared in front of me again. It seemed that the descriptions and the information depicted on the window had change. Now how do I get rid of that annoying menu¡ *Status bar close* I whisper that in my head and sure enough, the window closed. Thank god. Looking around my surroundings, I was still in the same cave that I was in before. I felt weak. I could not move my legs at all. *Growl* There goes my stomach. I¡¯m hungry. I have not eaten a single meal since leaving the womb. If I have no choice I might have to resort to eating my mother¡¯s flesh. Surprisingly I did not feel any piety towards her, to me she was just the creature that gave birth to me. No more, no less. After an hour, I started to hear noise coming from the entrance of the cave. Depending on who the perpetrator was, this could be my demise. Two foxes that looked similar to my mother entered the cave. *Status bar open*

They seem to come from the same tribe as my mother. Hopefully they are friendly. Sure enough, the demon fox named Vanguard walked up to me and fed me meat through mouth to mouth. The meat was raw, but it was chewy and delicious. It tasted like chicken, the only difference was that the meat was rougher. Vanguard had the same black fur as my mother, he had dignified and grandiose feel. But Roguard¡¯s fur was different. He had the same black fur but his sides had vibrant red stripes cutting across it and on his face was a scar that covered his right eye. His posture had a noble feel to it as well. Just by looking at the way he stood, you could tell that he was strong. After Vanguard fed me the meal, I fell asleep. *** Day 3 I woke up in a different cave. The cave was much bigger and had various rocks surrounding the place as if it were an arena. The air here felt fresher as compared to the damp air in the previous cave. Looking around, I could see my brethren staring at me. Looks like I was thrown onto the corner of the cave. The eyes the foxes had were the same as the humans I grew up with... those same eyes. Apparently it seemed that they think that I could not be trusted. Being bullied and shunned was considered the norm for me. Taking a deep breath and standing up, I saw my reflection on a nearby ore. I was not a fox. I was different. My fur was pure white, the complete opposite of the fur of a demon fox. My face was as flat as a board, you could say that I had a face of a cat. My body was also not that of a cub. I was large for my size but not as big as the adult demon foxes in the cave. But the main difference between me and everyone in the cave was that I did not have a tail. Am I not a demon fox? Am I going to get eaten here? With the swing of one of my paws, I shattered the ore into half. The foxes around me started to get hostile. Some started to bark as they started to take an aggressive stand against me. The fear of the possibility of a second death gripped me. A large howl that came from the back of the cave. The howl echoed though the once noisy cave and with that, all the foxes fell silent. They then made a path in an orderly fashion and Roguard with Vanguard by his side walked up to me elegantly. ¡°Who are you?¡± The language they spoke was most definitely not English, but for some reason I understood the language they spoke. Roguard¡¯s face had a stern and serious expression, if I were to talk back to him, he would most certainly kill me in an instant. ¡°I-I am¡ I don¡¯t have a name.¡± ¡°Well then nameless one. What was thou doing next to the corpse of thy wife?¡± ¡°I¡¯m not sure. My mother Siguard just gave birth to me, I don¡¯t really kno-¡° ¡°SILENCE! How does thou know of that name?¡± ¡°I don¡¯t know there was a screen that app-¡± ¡°This vile creature deserves an execution. Throw thou into the pit.¡± When I mentioned my mother¡¯s name, Roguard slammed his front paw on the ground; making the cave shake. The unstable rocks from the ceiling of the cave started to fall as the cave trembled at the angry demon fox leader¡¯s rage. The foxes started to approach me slowly, one by one. The only sound that echoed throughout the cave were my screams, and my pleas for help were ignored. I was mauled, bitten by the foxes. The pain was unbearable. The bone on my front paw snapped due to the pressure of the bites. The skin on my back got torn along with my fur leaving my flesh exposed. After the seemly endless torture, I passed out. *** It was dark, pitch black. It seemed like d¨¦j¨¤ vu as what I was feeling right now was exactly the same when I was at the void. I could not feel anything. I felt so much pain at that moment in time that my senses numbed. The rain that fell onto my injured body woke me up. Slowly opening my eyes, I found out that I was in a hole. Looking up, I could see the night sky in the air. With the moon being my only source of light, I could not see the entrance of the pit at all. It seemed too high up. Looks like escaping is impossible. A single tear ran down my cheeks. Why¡? Why me..? What did I do to deserve such harsh treatment? With all those lingering thoughts in my head. I felt determination running through my veins. My thoughts emptied to a single word. REVENGE. Those foxes judged me for being different. Humans judged me for being different. No matter where I go, I will be treated the same. I will just be an outcast. ¡°Insanity is doing the same thing over and over but expecting a different result.¡± That¡¯s right. I was naive in believing that this was my second shot in life. It was my fault for thinking that people would treat me differently. If life won¡¯t change to fit me, I will change life to fit my needs. I will get my revenge on anyone that crosses my path. I swear that I will never be in this situation ever again. Laying on the dampened ground with water droplets falling onto my ragged up fur, I viciously howled towards the moon after taking in a deep breath to signify my quest for revenge.

==================================================================== Thank you for reading and I hope that you enjoyed reading it. Chapter 2: Day 4 Day 4 I hardly slept a wink last night. The rain had finally stopped and it was still night out. The pit that I was thrown in was deep, it was a miracle that I survived the fall. At the top of the pit was a small hole that was my only contact with the world outside. The dampened dirt that I was lying on made it uncomfortable for me to rest. The bottom of the pit had no light sources at all. The only source of light was the moon whose faint light entered from the top of the pit. It showed me a one way path. It seemed as if it lead to an abyss of pure darkness as it was pitch black. But looking at the situation at hand, I would have no choice but to follow the path. The foxes that threw me into the pit had already left a long time ago. I suppose they thought that I would not survive the fall. My silky pure white fur had been shredded. There were spots on my body with my flesh exposed. My right front paw was broken. One of the demon fox had crushed my bones with his metallic like teeth. But by now, most of the pain had already numbed. But the thoughts of vengeance kept echoing in my head. I cannot forgive nor could I forget. I cursed the gods that designated this horrible fate onto me. I would have been better off dead then having this second chance at life. But now, it is a whole new story. My thirst for revenge outweighed the sadness I had in life. The mere thought of eating the demon foxes excited me. The first thing I wanted to do was shred their furs off before tearing their limbs off one by one while watching them scream in pain. I would then drink the blood off their exposed wounds. After sipping in their blood, I would swirl it in my mouth to feel the texture and structure, savoring the taste. Mmm¡ delicious. With that in mind, I limped into the tunnel that seemed to have no end. *** I was now in a room that had mud for walls. The room was brightly lit by medieval lamps that held an orangey dancing flame on the stand. There were texts by an unknown language written on the mud walls of the room that was surprisingly spacious. There was nothing other than eight lamp stands arranged in an orderly manner on the ground. At the end of the room was a wooden door that had scratches all over it with the bottom part being uneven. There were also vines that surrounded the edges of the door showing that it had not been touched in ages. With nowhere else to go, I pushed the door open.
Level: 11 HP: 125/125 MP: -/- Species: Vampire Bat Description: Bats that feed off the blood of their victims
The next room was dark. But the status window instantly popped up indicating that there were monsters in there. But this time, it was different. There were multiple status windows that kept popping up, there were too many to count. I quickly closed the status window before stepping back. Before I could comprehend what happened, a huge swarm that consisted of a dozen vampire bats flew at me, pushing me back into the room with the mud walls. The bats were about the size of an A4 sized paper with sharp teeth that resembled vampires to drain their victim¡¯s bloods I laid on the floor while the bats surrounded my injured body, sucking out my blood. I felt like a balloon with air escaping out of me. I was being deflated. With every passing second, my body felt lighter and my head was getting dizzier as well. This was no good. I am about to die. *Crunch*

My instincts took over me for a second as I snapped a vampire bat into half. The small bones had shattered due to the immense pressure of my jaw. The wings it had were crunchy and felt pleasant to eat. The other vampire bats seemed to be shocked at my sudden retaliation as they retreated to a safe distance immediately. *huff huff* I could barely open my eyes, my body felt heavier as if I weighed a hundred ton more. Their retreat gave me time to recollect my thoughts. I was clearly outnumbered and injured. The odds of winning this fights were not in my favor. The beast side of me helped me remain calm. If I were the same hikikomori back on Earth, I would be screaming my ass off while crying like a little bitch. I started to slowly move backwards towards the mud wall. I did my best to keep a straight face and hide my weaknesses. The bats however, did not wait for long before they swarmed at me again. Jumping backwards, I knocked down one of the light stand which managed to burn two of the bats. The bats then scattered away from me in fear of the fire. I took the opportunity to pounce on the confused vampire bats with my mouth wide open. *Crunch* I managed to eat 3 fleeing bats at the same time. Eating the bats seemed to give me a huge boost in recovery. I felt more energized as their meat flowed into my empty stomach. Power was flowing through my veins.

A status window appeared again, showing the accumulated experience gain. It was distracting. The problem was that the window covered the entirety of my line of sight. Was there a way to permanently turn it off? There were 6 vampire bats left. I was definitely stronger in terms of physique. The problem was stamina. I was still bleeding and my front leg is broken. Up till now, I was holding in the pain. It was excruciating and my open wounds stung due to the contact of air. I have no idea how long I could last. The remaining vampire bats were cautious. They had a numbers advantage and there was no way that they would fall for the same trick twice. They flew close to the celling of the room, making me unable to pounce onto them. Every second was precious. But luckily I had a plan. I jumped towards the mud wall before using my hind legs to kick back towards the vampire bats. *Crunch*

The vampire bats had no way to escape. After repeating the same action a few times, I had killed all the vampire bats. My fur was coated blood red and I could still feel the lingering taste of their blood. I did not feel like a winner after killing them. I only killed them in order to survive. They were like god¡¯s gift, sent from heaven. They filled my stomach and for some reason, my wounds closed. Now.. to solve the important questions. I need to find out about the status windows. Hmm¡ if I get exp for killing monsters, this world seems to be like a game. Doesn¡¯t that mean I have a status window too? *Status window open*

From the looks of it, I am a Kitsune. I don¡¯t really know what a Kitsune is so I guess I¡¯ll skip through that. It also seems that there is a stats bar. After observing other people, this has not appeared at all. And from the looks of it, I have 0 luck. Does luck mean literally luck? My mp bar also started to drop as long as I had my status window opened. I guess that throughout my journey thus far, nothing good has ever occurred to me. Starting out with my mother dying to being thrown into this hellhole to being attacked by vampire bats. I guess I really am just an unlucky guy. I carried the fallen light stand which acted as a torch before limping into the room that previously contained the vampire bats. The layout of the room was exactly the same as the previous room with a door at the opposite end of the entrance. Pushing open the door, I found a stairwell that led downwards. Looks like I will be spending a long time here. As I limped down the stairwell, I noticed that the flooring was made of concrete. I wonder what advance species could have made this place.... could it be humans? There were candles which lit the stairwell, but I kept my torch just in case. Support creative writers by reading their stories on Royal Road, not stolen versions. I reached the bottom of the stairwell which led to another room. Status windows appeared which showed the description of vampire bats. Oh goody, I found my lunch. This time, hunting the vampire bats was easy. Apparently they were docile creatures that were only attracted to the scent of blood. After my wounds closed, they did not even notice my presence when I sneaked up to them. I ate around five bats to fill my hunger. This room was different than the previous two. The room was made up of a lot of rocks and had uneven terrain. The celling was also way higher with close to a hundred vampire bats hanging upside down. The room was brightly lit with a lot of candles and was really big, I could not find the exit. If my thoughts serve me right, there should be a door somewhere¡ I started to wander around the room, looking for the door. That was when I heard a loud chewing sound echo throughout the room. I headed in that direction to find a hippopotamus. That hippo was huge. It was around four times larger than a regular hippo and its skin looked like an impenetrable fortress. My instincts were telling me to run. It was a foe I had no chance of defeating.
Level: 32 HP: 5210/5210 MP: -/- Species: Long Tusk Hippopotamus
The creature had tusks like an elephant coming out near its mouth. Since there aren¡¯t any plant species in this room, it is most likely carnivorous. Crap¡ it seemed to have caught wind of my presence. The hippo was staring at me. I don¡¯t think it has ever seen a creature like me before. It opened its mouth to a sixty degree angle to intimidate me. Its mouth were filled with the pieces of half eaten vampire bats. I could see the brains and wings stuck in-between teethes that were dyed red in the blood of the bats. It was a pretty grotesque sight. I started to move backwards. It was better to retreat. I did not want to fight such a strong foe. But that was a huge mistake. The hippo caught sight of my injured front foot and started charging in my direction. The legs of the hippo were short but they moved at a fast speed making its action look funny. I started to run away as fast as I could but with my broken leg, I was moving too slow. The hippo was going to catch up. I had to face the hippo, it was my only shot to survive. Turning around, I confronted the hippo. But the hippo did not show any signs of stopping, it was heading head first towards me with its tusk aimed directly at my head. When it got close to me, I jumped to the side to dodge. Its tusk only barely scrapped my fur. I then pounced onto its body. My sharp teeth did not even penetrate the thick body of the hippo. My only weapon was useless. My attack only enraged the hippo. Shaking its head, it knocking me backwards making me land face first onto the ground. It then charged with its mouth wide open. With my only method of attack being futile, I felt my death was certain. No. I can¡¯t give up now. I have to get my revenge. Facing this monster was nothing compared to the what I had gone through. Killing this monster is going to be my first step in escaping. I won¡¯t stop until my goals have been fulfilled. Think.. think.. how can I kill this monster¡ wait. I found the solution. I would have to take a gamble. I bit my broken front paw, letting my blood ooze out. My broken leg was already numb so it did not hurt at all. But this led to the hippo being more excited. It thought I had given up, making it charge even faster at me. I could hardly move with my leg being entirely useless and barely managed to dodge its frontal assault. But luckily, I smeared my blood all over the skin of the hippo when he just passed me. I laid on all fours exhausted. The hippo turned towards me walking towards me knowing that I could no longer run. I closed my eyes. My heart started to race with every step the hippo took. I was waiting for my death, dying a second time was not that scary to be completely honest. But my end did not come. Opening my eyes I saw hundreds of vampire bats swarming the hippo. The hippo was forced to stop in its tracks. The hippo kept biting the air in random directions, killing a few bats at a time. But his efforts were futile, the bats kept on coming. Looks like my gamble paid off. The vampire bats were attracted to the smell of my blood on the hippo. I also had used my fur to cover my wound making the bats unaware of my existence. With the bats distracting the hippo, I used all my energy to dart towards its head. Using my jaw, I snapped its head open due to the immense pressure, before breaking its skull into half and leaving its brain exposed. I used my uninjured front paw to knock its brains out. It felt slimy and was pretty small when you ratio it to the hippos body. The once arrogant monster was laying lifelessly on the ground. With the vampire bats sucking out its blood.

I already felt attached to my four legged form. I would hate if I evolved into something human like.

I felt something strange occurring in my body. Something was growing out of me. I looked towards my rear to see a tail. My tail was white in color. But the fur on my body was still dyed blood red. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Thank you for reading the second chapter! I hope you enjoyed it :) If your wondering why MC looked like a cat in chapter one, here''s the image of a newborn fox isn''t it cute? :3 Chapter 3: Day 5 - 7 Day 5 It has been about an hour since I woke up. My evolution to a one tailed Kitsune was fascinating. Well¡ to me at least. To start off with, my body was larger. Now, I was about the size of an average fox. My appearance became closer to a fox as well with my mouth starting to stretch out. Also, it seems that I have some sort of high regenerative power. Upon waking up, my broken front leg was healed with my HP bar being full. In this world, it seems that sleeping and eating helps increase your HP. It also seems that the HP bar do not decrease at a constant rate. Take for instance if someone punches your arm, your HP will decrease. But after continuously getting hit, you will reach a point where your HP won¡¯t decrease anymore as the blow isn¡¯t deadly. This showed that the HP bar tells you how injured a person is and how close to death they are. Hitting 0 on your HP bar means instant death. This information became apparent to me after toying with my breakfast which consisted of vampire bats. My body growth did not make me feel any discomfort at all. Growing bigger at such a fast rate felt as natural as breathing. I also did not feel any muscular strains. The only difference was that I felt stronger and faster. As if I can accomplish things that were physically impossible in my previous form. I also consider the third room as my safe haven. The rocky like room which was basically a cave had food and shelter. I had already found the door that lead to the next room but I¡¯m still preparing myself. My encounter with the hippo had left a distinct mark in my memory. It was because I tried to explore unprepared that I almost faced my death. This place also feels awfully similar to dungeons from the video game I played. The hippo seemed similar to a boss. Perhaps the only way out of here is defeating the final boss. Either way, I had decided that I would train, make myself stronger before heading to the fourth room. With that in mind, I went about testing my physical limits while hunting vampire bats whenever I felt hungry. *** Day 6 I barely managed to wake up, half asleep. I had spent the whole day yesterday running on all fours. I had found out that my current body structure had many limitations. As a four legged creature, I am definitely more agile and faster than a human being. But my only weapons are my claws and fangs. Getting close to an enemy with a frontal attack is suicidal as my only defense are my fur and skin. I would need to rely on ambushes to defeat strong foes. After waking up, I went to hunt a couple of vampire bats for breakfast. *** I made a discovery on my new ability. I had been wondering what the window which showed ¡°Ability ¨C Shadow Control¡± meant. To be honest, I tried saying embarrassing sentences in my head yesterday after waking up. But those efforts were futile. I had accidentally slipped and fell into the cave¡¯s shadow while chasing after vampire bats. It took me to a whole new world. The place was pitch black with nothing other than me being inside. It was similar to the void I was in after dying. There was a screen that showed the outside world as well. The exact image of where I was before. I was confused at first but eventually realized that I could enter shadows. Being inside a shadow felt really surreal. It awoken my chunnibyou and I was seriously hyped for gaining such a cool ability. After testing it more, I found out that hiding in my own shadow was different from hiding in other shadows. If I hid in my shadow, the screen that showed the outside world did not move at all. Which means that my shadow does not change in size nor move when I¡¯m in it. While if I enter the shadow of a flame that is constantly dancing, the screen keeps moving to fit the size of the flame¡¯s shadow at the given time. If I entered a large shadow, I could travel from within and exit depending on where I leave on the screen. It made hunting vampire bats easier as I could enter the shadow of the cave before exiting from the ceiling where majority of the bats resided. When I tried exiting the celling for the first time, I fell face first on the ground without catching any vampire bats. I nearly broke my pointy mouth. But my Shadow Control was most useful as an infinite item storage. Or an adventurers backpack from video games. After discovering that, I¡¯ve confirmed that my ability was most definitely a cheat. This meant that I could store things within my own shadow, which allows me to take things out at any given moment in time. I could store the vampire bats I hunt into it which would act as my food supply. But most importantly I could store as many thing as I wanted too and would not need to worry about carrying heavy objects. The only downside to my ability was that staying in shadows costs mana. I¡¯ve not reached 0 mana while hiding in the shadow yet. I do not want to know the downside of such a powerful ability. I was excited to test out my ability in future battles. After hunting more vampire bats and eating dinner, I went to sleep. *** Day 7 I had finished my preparations and was ready to leave for the fourth room. *Status window open*

Hmm¡ it seems that after evolving, it was harder to level up. I think that I¡¯ve hunted close to a hundred vampire bats over the past two days. I¡¯ve also stored a good amount in my own shadow that acted as a bag. I¡¯ve spent the entirety of this morning collecting shiny rocks and vampire bats before storing it in my shadow. This ability was really convenient. Being in a fantasy world was really cool. I walked up to the door and pushed it open. The doors had handles. In the past, I needed to jump and use my mouth to grab the handle. But now with my tail, opening doors were much more convenient. As usual, the doors had scratches and appeared to be deprived from contact in ages. *Creek* The sound echoed throughout the fourth room. The room was pitch black. I took out a torch from shadow and placed in my tail before taking a step in. After taking a few steps in, the door slammed shut. Looks like there¡¯s no going back. The terrain of this room resembled that of a forest. The ground was made of dirt with large willow trees filling the room. But with the lack of sunlight underground, most of the trees were dead and seemed hollow. The leaves lacked the usual green and were black in color. The air that would normally have a sweet fragrant from flowers now had the smell of rotting flesh. Ignoring the creepy atmosphere, I walked in deeper.
Level: 24 HP: 259/259 MP: -/- Species: Armored Tanuki Description: Has a strong shell to protect itself from threats
My eyes picked up a group of three Armored Tanukis. I went to hide in a nearby bush to spy on them. The Armored Tanukis were smaller than me. They were about half as big as me. The back part of their skin was made up of metal. But something was strange. They had feelers on the top of their head. Man¡ this world is weird. The Tanukis seemed to be looking for something. They kept looking through bushes and even checked under rocks. Hmm I guess I should just look for the door. ¡ºOh! What a coincidence I¡¯m looking for the door as well (*^¦Ø^*)/ ¡» Reading on Amazon or a pirate site? This novel is from Royal Road. Support the author by reading it there. Level: 2 HP: 1569/1569 MP: 0/4286 Species: High Elemental(Water) Fairy Description: Fairies are easily identifiable by their small size and chest
Turning my head to the left, I saw a little girl. Her eyes were dulled blue in color and was fair skinned. She was no bigger than a pen. Her hair was up to shoulder length and was dyed blonde. Her bangs were neatly combed in both directions. And she had two white heart shaped bobby pins holding her double ponytail together. She wore a light purple oversized tee that reached until her waist barely showing her denim shorts. Her shirt was loose enough to show her pink left bra string. To top it all off, she even wore a loose bright red tie that most drunk bachelors wore. Basically her whole outfit did not match at all. She was only level 2. It seems to be that your level does not scale with how strong a person is. But what shocked me was that she was floating¡ no¡ wait. She was sitting on a stick that was black in color with a red gem at the tip. She also had magical wings that are in four pieces which closely resembled a butterflies¡¯. Her chest size was a disappointment. She was flat. ¡º©c(¨R§¥¨Q)¥ÎI heard that! You want to fight?!¡» She stared at me with her eyes showing a huge frown filled with displeasure. Guess she hated my remark about her small bust. No. Nonexistent bust. W-wait you can read my mind? What are you? ¡ºI guess I should introduce myself. My name is Silica. I am a fairy.¡» Well I guess it¡¯s always polite to greet before talking. I don¡¯t have a name. I am a Kisune sorry for the late introduc- ¡ºWAIT?! What?! A Kitsune?!¡» Her voiced scream through my head causing me to fall back onto the ground. Her face seemed really shocked after I mention being a Kitsune. Crap¡ we were surrounded by Armored Tankis. They were attracted to the sound I made after falling back. Looks like we have no time to talk. I swallowed Silica whole before running away. ¡ºLet me out!¡» Silica kept screaming in my head. But I paid no heed to her cries. I just kept running on all fours. The Tanukis were no match for my speed. But for some reason Tanukis were kept coming in the direction I was running at. Eventually, they let us to a dead end. They trapped us at the corner of the room. There were close to fifty Tanukis in front of me. I spat out Silica from my mouth. She was all slimy, drenched in my saliva. The sight of her being wet was arousing. But now was not the time to pay attention to that, there were more important issues at hand. ¡ºGeez¡ now I¡¯ll never get married ?????(>§Õ<)?????¡» Silica pouted her face while looking at me. ¡º¡Y-you better take responsibility¡» Hey¡ we have more important issues at hand. By now, I¡¯ve gotten used to talking telepathically with Silica. In the beginning, it felt as if something was inside my head. But now her voice was surprisingly comforting even though we were in a dangerous situation. Yo. Fairy you take the left, I¡¯ll take the right. After saying that, I jumped into the shadow of the wall behind us. The forest was dark, making the whole place my playing field. Inside the shadow, I could see everything through the thin screen that separated the shadow world from the outside world. The perplex look on the Silica¡¯s face made me chuckle to myself. I exited the screen from beneath the Tanuki¡¯s feet and just like a shark, I bit the weak underbody of the Tanuki before dragging it in the shadow with me. One Tanuki could do nothing against me. With just me and that tanuki in the shadow, I easy bit off his head before tearing his limbs apart.

That was really little exp I gained after killing a Tanuki. The other Tanukis on the surface were going after Silica. She seemed defenseless against them. *Sigh* I let out a sigh before dragging her into the shadow world. ¡ºThank god¡ I have no mana.¡» Her face flushed bright red. She looked down in embarrassment with her hands held tightly together and legs squirming. Boy¡ was she cute. Her face blushed even brighter. Oh dear¡ I think she heard my comments. We were safe for now. But my mana was constantly decreasing, this was only a temporary solution. The Tanukis outside stood completely still. They did not move an inch. It seemed as if they were dead. They were staring at the wall where Silica was last standing. *** We had escaped through a shadow in the middle of the forest. Silica and I had been staring at each other for a while now. It was hard to break the awkward atmosphere. But soon enough she started to laugh in my head. ¡ºPfft¡ who would have ever thought I¡¯ll meet a Kitsune here. ¡» Wait. Do you know where we are? Do you know what I am? What are you doing here? ¡ºHold on¡ one question at a time.¡» I had been wanting to ask a series of questions after being reincarnated, looks like I¡¯ll finally get some answers. ¡ºTo start off with, we are in the Dungeon of one of the seven deadly sins, Gluttony. It is a S rank dungeon you know¡ up till this day, no one has ever come close to completing it. ¡» She was looking at me, as if expecting some sort of response. But after seeing that none, she sighed before continuing. ¡ºIf what you¡¯re telling me is true, a Kitsune is a divine creature that is blessed by the gods. From my knowledge they have nine tails¡ but you only have one.¡» Gods? What do you mean? The look on her face show signs of disbelief. ¡ºYou aren¡¯t joking are you¡? In order to become a Kitsune, you need to have the blessing of a greater god at least. Well to start off with, there are many gods in this world and we rank them from lesser -> greater -> true gods. And for your information I am a high ele-¡» Yeah a high elemental water fairy right? ¡ºHow do you know that?¡» Well I can see your status window. ¡ºWAIT?! It only says that right? Nothing else?¡» Yup, it does not display any additional stats. She looked really scared for a moment. I think she is hiding something from me. I¡¯ll keep that in mind. ¡ºThat is a really rare ability¡ I¡¯ve never heard of someone being able to see status windows other than their own. You must be blessed by the gods. Anyway, I need your help. The Sin of Gluttony is the Ant Queen that has been controlling all those Armored Tanukis. She sealed away all my mana and I need help getting it back.¡» Well, it seems that I would need to defeat the final boss to get out of here anyway. Helping her out aligns with my current goals. With that, I stared at her for a good two seconds before giving a light nod. ¡ºI know the way, shall we go?¡» With that, we headed deeper in the forest. *Day 7 to be continued*

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Feel free to leave feedback/criticisms or ask questions! Thanks for reading! Chapter 4: Day 7 - 8 Day 7 part 2 It got quieter the deeper we tracked into the forest. The occasional sounds of leaves flickering from the passing wind or the footsteps of Armored Tanuki passing us by were obsolete. The eeriness in this quiet forest could not be put into mere words. ¡ºAre we there yet?! s(?£à¥Ø¡ä?; )©g¡» No¡ stop asking me that. Silica was sitting on her wooden like stick. The stick with a red gem at the tip was a wand. It was glowing, emitting a faint yellow light to show what was ahead. Apparently, wands are magical items. The gems at the tip are ¡°Mana Catalysts¡±. They act as a medium to help reduce the amount of Mana lost when casting a spell, making the strength of spells stronger. She was initially going to lead me to the door of the fifth room. But after she constantly led us to groups of Armored Tanukis, I took the lead. My keen sense of smell could spot an Armored Tanukis from a mile away. Silica was now behind me, acting as a flash light and navigator. I would say we made a great team. Silica also telepathically communicated with me while we were travelling. We are currently located in an S class dungeon. Dungeons range from F -> E-> D -> C -> B -> A -> S. With S rank being the hardest. In order to access an S class dungeon, you would need to be either an A rank or S rank adventurer or have permission from the king. This world is one of your run-of-the-mill fantasy world. I¡¯ve already read tons of fictions on worlds like this. Silica lost majority of her powers to the Sin of Gluttony. The Sin of Gluttony was apparently the boss of this dungeon who resides in the 69th room of this dungeon and there are mini bosses in every three levels of the dungeon. Silica barely managed to escape with her life by teleporting here. And that¡¯s how she managed to run into me *sniff sniff* I spotted something weird. I could pick up the scent of a group of Armored Tanukis. I could not pick up the exact amount due to their scent mixing together. But unlike the other Tanukis, who were constantly moving, they seemed to be guarding something. Could it be the door? Hey Silica, there¡¯s a group of Armored Tanukis about a mile west from here. They seem to be stationary and not searching for us. Could it be the location of the door? ¡ºNope! I know this place inside out. The door is straight ahead. (??¦Ø??)?¡» The Tanukis are acting weird¡ let¡¯s check it out. ¡ºFine¡ but I¡¯m telling you it¡¯s a waste of time (*¡ä§¥£à)=3¡» We headed west. It was not that far away from our previous location. Hiding in a bush, we saw a group of Armored Tanukis guarding a blue crystal. The crystal gave off its own light making it easy to spot. There were only three Tanukis guarding it. ¡º£¨¡ð¡õ¡ð£©¡ Hey baka Kitsune we have to get that stone.¡» Why? Just moments ago you said it was a waste of time and gave me that idiotic emoticon¡ ¡ºMy emoticons aren¡¯t idiotic!!! Anyways that¡¯s a Mana Crystal. I¡¯ll be able to get some of my Mana restored if I consume it.¡» In other words you¡¯ll finally be useful? ¡ºHey! Be grateful that you get to travel with such a high class fairy¡ you¡ baka Kitsune what was your name again?¡» I don¡¯t have a name. ¡ºI¡¯ll just call you Anon then. You better be grateful baka Kitsune.¡» If only her attitude matched her looks. Her foul mouth and emoticon spam was starting to get to me. I was glad to have somebody to travel with. But now, I¡¯m having my doubts. Are all girls like this? Fighting against three Tanukis was an easy task. The weak underside of their bodies made them an easy kill. The problem was the feelers on their heads. According to Silica, the feelers acted as a mind controlling device. The Ant Queen apparently has the power to control thousands of monsters at the same time. Attacking the group will surely notify the rest of our location. The best solution I could come up with was for someone to distract the Tanukis while the other member grabs the stone. But that could be risky as well. There were around a hundred Tanukis in the forest. Getting surrounded would mean death. Wait a second¡ where¡¯s Silica. Snapping back into reality, I noticed Silica floating in front of the Tanukis. What¡¯s that idiot doing?! I ran out of the bush that I was hiding in and dived into the shadow of the forest. Using the shark tactic was lame, but effective. I exited from the screen before dragging the Tanukis into the shadow with me. It allowed me to snap my fangs into their weak underbellies easily. After killing the last Tanuki, I exited the shadow. Silica was in a trance. She was ignoring everything in her surroundings including me. She was flying with her wand in hand, in front of the crystal. Her constant stares into the luminous rock was starting to scare me. Is she ok? Silica? ¡°¡.¡± I could not comprehend the language she just spoke out loud. But she grabbed the crystal that was two times larger than her and ate it whole. I kid you not she ate it whole. I was blinded by the light which seared my vision. Water started to accumulate in my eyes. Silica¡¯s whole body glowed, emitting the same blue light as the Mana Crystal.

It seemed that her status window updated. Her MP bar was full again. Rumbling sounds could be heard. The sounds were getting louder by the seconds. It felt as if an army was arriving. ¡ºAnon¡ it¡¯s time for me to kick some butt.¡» I was speechless. Does she not know that all the Tanukis are coming? How can she be so calm? Then they finally arrived. A horde of Tanukis. They were uncountable by paws. Silica better have a plan or we are dead. They charged straight for Silica. Ignoring me. Wait¡ why is it so cold? Looking around I could see Silica pointing her wand in the direction of the Tanukis. Her expression was serious. Opposite from her useful playful self. ¡°¡.¡± She shouted words in the same language I could not understand. Her high pitch voice forced me to cover my ears. The cold air that passed by the Tanukis made them frozen at their spots. They stood lifelessly in the same charging motion as they were doing before. The forest that stood behind them had a layer of ice covering them as well. ¡ºOhohoho! Be grateful I saved your life.¡» ¡ To start off, you caused this mess by flying ahead to the crystals. Anyway you only have 300 mana points left. ¡ºOf course I would have very little mana left. <> is a super strong spell after all. A-and I can¡¯t help that the crystals looked so tasty (/¦Ø£Ü)¡» Silica had the strength to take out that large horde of Tanukis. Her strength rivaled her words. She was obviously stronger than me. The only thing I could do in such a situation was run. Damnit.. why do I have to be so weak. Am I even capable enough to get my revenge? At this rate¡ I would not stand a chance. I can¡¯t always rely on Silica. I have to get stronger. ¡ºLet¡¯s go! The door¡¯s this way. I doubt that there are any more Armored Tanukis. The Ant-¡» Hey Silica. Don¡¯t save me anymore. If we encounter a situation like this again, let me die. ¡º¡¡» Just agree already. ¡ºFine.¡» Silica began to fly off quietly towards the direction of the door. The atmosphere was different from the cheerful one we had moments ago. My declaration had formed a rift in our relationship. Opening the door lead to another stairwell. There were candles that lit the room up. It looked exactly the same as the one before. We were both exhausted. After closing the door, I laid down on the cold concrete floor. Silica flew onto my back before hugging my fur. Get off Silica¡ Silica? I think she fell asleep. Even though we just met I feel like I could trust her. She had already saved me once. I¡¯ll let her sleep on my back this time. Today has been a long day after all. I closed my heavy eyelids and fell asleep. *** If you come across this story on Amazon, be aware that it has been stolen from Royal Road. Please report it.Day 8 ¡ºWake up¡ BAKA KITSUNE WAKE UP!¡» Silica¡¯s voice echoed throughout my mind; she was like my personal alarm clock. The noise instinctively made me open my eyes. Normally seeing a cute girl¡¯s face would make me jump for joy, but her tiny stature and pouted lips made me jump back in shock. I rolled down the stairs. Only to land face first onto the base of the steps. What a great way to start the morning! We left for the fifth room after eating breakfast which consisted of vampire bats. Silica watched me eat the bats raw in disgust. She eventually gave in to eating them cooked after her stomach growled a few times. Silica praised my ability to store items in shadows. She acknowledge that such an ability was rare and unheard of. I still haven¡¯t the slightest idea of what magic is. Was my ability a spell because it cost mana? I would have liked to ask Silica a lot of questions but she still seems to be angry at me for yesterday. The fifth room was cleared easily. The monsters were just easy add ons. They did not have feelers on their body showing that they weren¡¯t controlled by the Ant Queen. As to what they were, here are their status window.

The fifth room was a forest, similar to the forth room. But there was a huge crystal on the ceiling that made the whole room bright. The inhabitants were harmless animals and a tribe of monkeys. The monkeys looked like the caveman of the past. They wore scraps of wood that acted as armor. The shaman could cast weak spells while the warriors carried sticks. The hardest part of the room was the chieftain. He was like a stronger version of the monkey warrior. The fight did not take long. He would have beaten me in a normal 1v1. But with my shadow ability, I wore him out with constant sneak attacks. Silica just watched as I fought all the monsters. She was certainly stronger than me now that she got her mana back. I guess my words really stuck in her head. I killed every single monster in the room. We then went to collect some fruits in the trees and hunted some wild animals. Silica was happy that she got to eat something other than fried vampire bats. Personally, my sense of taste has changed. Now, the fruits I ate tasted like puke. I literally could not comprehend how people could put something so grotesque in their mouth. The lingering aftertaste made me skip my lunch. Silica however happily chomped on the banana that was around two times her size. We stored the leftover bird meat and fruits in my shadow before heading to the sixth room. There should be a boss waiting for us. The sixth room was a swamp. There was a crystal at the celling making the room bright. It was smaller than the other rooms. With the door to the next room visible from our current location. There was not a monster in sight. My eyes also did not pick up any status windows. ¡ºThis room should contain a crocodile boss. We should skip this room.¡» Why? ¡ºThis boss is as strong as the monsters on the twentieth rooms. His too strong for you to face right now.¡» I took her words as a challenge. I was planning to reach the end of the dungeon anyways. If I could not defeat this boss, the chances of me completing this dungeon would be close to zero. I walked into the murky waters. It was surprisingly shallow. Was there really a crocodile in here? ¡ºWhat are you doing.. ANON!¡» Huh? *Splash* I was dragged into the murky water. I could not comprehend what just happened. Everything occurred in a split second. Something thick and rough had a firm grip on my leg. There weren¡¯t any shadows for me to enter. I was trapped I could not breathe. Everything was going dark; my consciousness was fading. Is this the end? No¡ I can¡¯t die here. Not until I get my revenge. Wait¡ what was happening? The current of the water started to intensify. Pushing me to the surface. I flew out of the water, along with a silhouette of a big creature. ¡ºAnon¡ are you ok?¡» *cough cough* Y-yeah I¡¯m fine. Thanks Silica ¡ºRely on me more you baka Kitsune. You¡¯re not alone anymore.¡» It seemed that Silica has saved me yet again. Coming to my senses, I could see a huge crocodile. It was huge. Its body took up half the swamp with scales that looked like pure iron. There was no way that I could crack that.
Level: 58 HP: 5910/6219 MP: -/- Species: Demon Croc Description: Last of its kind. One of the ancient monsters that roamed the land ages ago.
It was the strongest monster I¡¯ve ever seen so far. The presence it emitted was deadlier than Roguards¡¯. I would need Silicas¡¯ help to defeat him. Hey Silica. I¡¯ll grab its attention. You do something about the shell. ¡ºYou can count on me! (*£Þ¨Œ£Þ)£¯¡» Silica started to speak in the same unknown language. In our party, Silica was outright stronger so I decided that I should aggro the crocodile and leave the damage to her. The Demon Croc stood still with its jaw wide open. With its small four legs, it should be hard to move. *Boom* I smashed into the wall. The tail of the crocodile swiped me off my feet. And the impact was so great I left a dent on the wall. My ribs broke and my organs felt misplaced. Looking at my status bar, I had only a hundred HP left. One more hit and I was dead. I started to cough out blood. The crocodile started to approach me slowly. ¡°¡¡± Silica finally stopped chanting and pointed her wand at the crocodile. Water from the murky swamp started to spiral up into the air forming a large circle. The crocodile was unaware of the phenomena happening and was still walking towards me. The water bubble then flew at a straight line towards the crocodile¡¯s head. Upon impact, it cracked a hole on the armor of his head, leaving his flesh exposed. The cracks then started to form like a web. Breaking out the shell on his head. Taking this opportunity given by Silica, I pounced onto the Demon Croc¡¯s head and started to bite it with my fangs. His outer skin was easily penetrable as compared to the armor layer. ¡ºAnon! Jump back. NOW.¡» Hearing Silica¡¯s voice. I jumped back. The crocodile¡¯s tail came down like a sword and pierced its own head. It tried to take me along with him to the afterlife. Silica saved me yet again.

Are you ok?!¡» I laid half submerged in the murky water. Silica called out to me but I could not give a response. I was moments away from death, if not for her warning, I would have been a dead fox. Staring at the Demon Croc who stood lifelessly in front of me made chills run down my spine. His tail entered his skull. The tail squashed his brains into a half liquid like form that looked lime slime, showing the amount of effort he put to take me with him. *Blaugh* Blood spluttered out of my mouth. My body felt heavy as fatigue took over. I¡¯ve only took one blow from the Demon Croc yet my fragile body was crumbling from the impact. While fighting the Demon Croc, I had only managed to stay in the fight due to the adrenaline that rushed through my body. Being in a near death situation made my body move faster than it normally would. My instincts even took over making me jump at the predators head. Now that the fight was over, my body took the sudden impact as pain rushed throughout my body. My vision was growing weak, slowly fading black. The pain from my broken ribs was devastating. Standing up would be impossible in my current situation. Breathing also proved difficult as blood clogged up my throat. Someone was calling out my name¡ was it Silica? I don¡¯t know anymore. Everything started to slowly disappear¡ my hearing ... my vision ¡ my senses started to fail. Before I knew it I was in the same void with only my conscious alive. But soon enough, even that disappeared. I passed out. *** Day 11 I woke up to the smell of rotten flesh. Opening my eyes, I saw the figure of a fairy in front of me. Silica was laying on the ground next to me. Her eyelids were closed and she was breathing slowly like a baby in its first slumber. Her chest was pulsating in correlation to her breathing. Her nipple was showing through the thin layer of her big T-shirt. Not wanting to wake her, I stood up on all fours. My body was covered with leaves that acted as bandages. My wounds had closed. How long was I out for¡? When I took my first step, I stumbled due to a sharp pain that pierced my shoulder. ¡ºAnon?¡» Turning around I saw Silica awake. There were huge eye bags under her eyes. I don¡¯t think she has slept in a while. ¡ºAre you ok? You¡¯ve passed out for three days¡¡» I¡¯m fine¡ you don¡¯t look so well are you ok? ¡ºYou better be grateful that the great fairy Silica has been taking care of you. Praise me.¡» Yeah thank you Silica. Her face flushed bright red at my unexpected reply. It seems that she had taken care of me while I passed out. I¡¯m glad to have met someone so trustworthy. *Status window open*

I opened up my status window. I had gained an absurd amount of stats increase. It seems that killing the Demon Croc had boosted my levels by 56 times. I then chatted with Silica to brighten up the mood. It seems that we got along well even though our personalities clashed. After eating breakfast, we went to the next room. The seventh room was once again, filled with weak monsters. It seems that the rooms that did not contain bosses were easy to complete. It was again a forest like world that contained the same monkey tribe as the fifth room. Only difference was that they were stronger than before. Silica and I breezed through the seventh room with ease. Were monsters this easy to kill? Ever since my stat growth from the Demon Croc, I found fighting to be more fun than scary. I no longer needed to rely on my shadow ability to fight. I literally just ran up to the monkeys before tearing their face off. Silica also forced me to kill every single monster in the room before proceeding to the next. She said it was best to gain as must experience as possible. The eight room was no different from the seventh. We cleared it in an hour. The monsters were ant link humanoids. They also had feelers on their heads but they were physically weak. They relied on communication to surround us with their masses. But my speed and strength were no match for them. I killed them all in no time. Silica said that they were the Ant Queen¡¯s underlings but they did not seem to be strong at all. The ninth room contained only one monster. It was a boss. However, it was considerably weaker than the Demon Croc we faced. It was a small rabbit humanoid. The only strength it had was that it was fast. But the sad thing was¡ I was faster. I caught up to it and tore its legs off. I was the predator.

After killing the rabbit, I reached level 88. I was super close to reaching the point of evolution. But honestly, I was not that excited. I just hope that my new ability is helpful so that Silica and I can get out of here safely. I got to know more on how four legged creatures work. My body structure relies a lot on movement and using my fangs and claws at the right time. Targeting soft spots or focusing my attacks on a single point is more beneficial than swinging my paws around. I also learned that it¡¯s better to rely on my instincts. My human mind can¡¯t keep up with this body. It is better to act than think about the situation. In a fight, every second can mean life or death. And with my fight with the demon Croc, I learned that people would rather die with the person that killed them. People even want revenge when they die. Silica acted as my support during fights. Currently, she is still stronger than me. But she treats me as her dog by making me take the lead during fights. I had come to terms that I can¡¯t clear this dungeon alone. I need Silica¡¯s help in future levels. My thought process was na?ve when I foolishly went to fight the Demon Croc alone. Foolish people takes fights they can¡¯t win. There is no honor in death. If you discover this tale on Amazon, be aware that it has been stolen. Please report the violation. We then entered the tenth room. The tenth room was empty. It was similar to the first room. There were writings on the wall in a language I can¡¯t read. Hey Silica, can you read those words? ¡ºEh.. you can¡¯t read? You really are an idiot. ??(T¥îT)??¡» Shut up and read it to me already¡ ¡ºWell.. it¡¯s not really that important. It just tells the story of the seven sins.¡» Seven sins? ¡ºDon¡¯t you even know anything about this world? (???) Well¡ basically the Seven Sins used to be Lesser Gods. They each represented the characteristic of the sins they committed. One day a bunch of Lesser Gods decided to help a Greater God find a way to leave heaven. They were charged with treason and were punished by losing their godly powers. But before that could happen, they escape to this planet and constructed dungeons to hide in. Well that¡¯s the gist of it¡» So¡ they each committed a sin when they helped the Greater God out? ¡ºNo. They were tricked. W-well that¡¯s what I feel like at least. >\\\<¡» Anyways. You aren¡¯t speaking to me in English are you..? ¡º¡ You really are a baka Kitsune. Everyone knows that there is only one language in telepathy.¡» Let¡¯s just go to the next room¡ With that conversation ending, we headed into the eleventh room. The 11th, 12th, 13th and 14th rooms were passed through easily. The boss in the 12th room was a giant rat. It isn¡¯t even worth mentioning how weak it was. It ran straight at me after I entered the room. I just strafed to the side before pouncing onto his head. It was an easy kill. The other rooms were just filled with weak monsters that Silica and I easily killed. The 15th room was a filled with rocks. It seems that it is more common to have a giant crystal at the celling to light up the room. The previous seven rooms had the same crystal. It also seems that the rooms were heading downwards. Not a good sign when I just want to escape this place. I walked in with my head held high. I had gain a lot of confidence in my journey thus far. I had also noticed that the sense of time in this dungeon was close to impossible to tell. As this dungeon is located underground, we can¡¯t really tell when the days go by. A minute here also feels like forever during fights. I have no idea how Silica knows that three days passed. Her body clock is superb to be able to tell how fast time flies. She may be noisy but she certainly is useful. I had also taken a liking to experimenting with my taste buds. Every monster I¡¯ve encountered so far was edible. They also had different tastes. The Vampire Bats tasted like chicken while the Humanoid Ants tasted like crunchy potato chips. Silica kept eating fruits and refuse to eat the monsters raw. Are girls really that picky? The room was quiet. I felt as if I was being watched. No. I instinctively knew I was watched. The scent in the air felt awfully familiar. I had encountered something similar to the boss of this room. I let out a howl. My voiced echoed throughout the room. Silica covered her ears and frowned at my sudden actions.
Level: 48 HP: 2821/2821 MP: -/- Species: Demon Fox - Exiled Variant - Description: An exiled Demon Fox. Exiles were thrown into the pit for being abnormal at birth.
The boss walked into my line of sight. He had been hiding behind a large rock. His fur was black, similar to my kindred on the surface. His presence was as strong as Roguards, but I was not intimidated by it. By now, I am experienced in fighting. My movements were precise and I only aimed for the kill. Injuring or tormenting your opponents are a waste of effort. During fights, my heart beats faster and I get excited. It is mostly due to my instincts but I can¡¯t help but find killing enjoyable. The foe in front of me resembled the people who thrown me out. Killing him will make me one step closer to my revenge. The exiled fox took an aggressive stance while watching me. I could tell that his nature was rasher than a normal Demon Fox. He bared his fangs while growling at me. With his tail waving in the air, it was indication that he was going to strike. Then, he suddenly started to charge at me. He was fast but his movements showed inexperience. I started to run at him as well. The first strike would determine the victor. We both jumped and collided midair. He had his mouth wide open and his fangs were aimed at my throat. It was a pity that this exiled fox was too weak for my liking. When he tried to bite my throat, I opened my mouth wider than his and snapped his jaw apart. His wide mouth that showed his fox feature was torn to shreds. The exiled fox laid on the floor with blood spurting out of the location that was once his mouth. I walked closer to my prey. With every step I took, the fox would take two steps back. It kept stumbling to get back on its feet. Soon enough, his body hit a nearby rock mountain. He was trapped with nowhere to run. His eyes opened wide and I stared at that pitiful creature. Its eyes were filled with the emotion called fear. Sorry¡ but you have to die for me to become stronger. Silica covered her eyes at what I did. I really let myself loose this time. His appearance had spark a trigger. I tore his limbs apart before looking down at the creature that had tears clumping up in its eyes. It was shaking. It knew that it was going to die. I found his reaction to be really amusing. ¡°¡¡±

An ice lance pierced the now corpse of the exiled fox. And it laid motionlessly in death. ¡ºWhat the hell are you doing?! You baka Kitsune! The fox had already lost.¡» Oh. My bad I got carried away. ¡ºYou have a lot of explain to do¡¡» I got lectured by Silica for about an hour. I told her the story of how I ended up in the pit. The betrayals from birth and the treatment I received. Obviously, I did not tell her about me being a reincarnated being. She would come up with more creative insults. And I doubt that she would believe me anyways. I left the corpse there. I did not bother to touch it any further, let alone eat it. For some reason, I felt disgusted at the thought of eating my own kind. I guess cannibalism runs through instincts. Eh..?! I noticed a small window at the bottom of my line of view. Squinting my eyes, I saw the window.
You have reached lvl 100 Would you like to evolve?

Why do they even bother to ask if I would like to evolve? I did not hesitate and raised my paw on the ¡®Yes¡¯ button. My body started to rapidly change. *Day 11 to be continued*

Chapter 6: Day 11 - 13 Day 11 part 2
Ability - Humanoid Transformation learned
My four legged body started to change. I could feel my skin stretching as another tail started to grow. The feeling was similar to my first evolution. My body grew bigger and Silica started to feel smaller. My second tail yet again felt like a limb. I felt as if I had 6 hands. Looking at a nearby ore, I could see my reflected appearance. I had grew twice my size in seconds, I was as big as an adult lion. Silica watched me grow at an abnormal rate, but she was not fazed at all. By now I had lost all of my cat like features. I looked like a full-fledged fox. I could also see my two tails drifting up and down. They moved elegantly in the passing wind. My fangs also grew sharper with my paws being bigger as well. I could feel yet another power boost surging through my body. My evolution had increased my physical limitations. I could make a dent on the rocky terrain just by pushing my paw into the ground. It seems that my body would grow every time I evolve. It was not a bad thing. My body would not feel any strains at the sudden growth. No muscle tears, no weariness, nothing. Instead it would close open wounds and heal me back to full heath. Well¡ it also seems that I had gained a new ability, Humanoid Transformation. Sigh¡ I already knew what this meant. It most likely meant I had the power to shapeshift into a human or something similar to that. I should have expected gaining a power like this¡ after all every light novel I¡¯ve read with animal reincarnation had the MC gaining a power to turn human at some point. I was not happy with this ability gain though. I feel that it is a useless power. My fox form allowed me to move at a faster rate than a human. My current strength was incomparable to a humans as well. While I could easily tear limbs apart, humans have trouble getting out of bed in the morning. In other word, there was no point in me having a power to turn into a human. I would also hate to turn into one of them¡ Silica flew onto my back before hugging my fur. ¡ºSo¡ that¡¯s your transformation? You¡¯ve gotten fluffier ©c(*¨R¦Ø¨Q)?¡» Yeah I guess that¡¯s it¡ ¡ºIt was pretty disgusting to watch £¨?¡õ?£»£©¡» Not as if your transformation was any different. ¡ºDuring my transformation, a bright light concealed my body during the change. And I¡¯ve never seen someone¡¯s body just grow during their evolution. It was pretty gross >_>¡» Looks like your chest hasn¡¯t changed as well. ¡ºYOU WANT TO FIGHT?! (¨p??Òæ??)¡» Silica had smoke fuming out of her head. She started to pull my fur while shouting a bunch of curse words in my head. We then argued for about one hour before going to bed. We had cleared a lot of rooms today. *** Day 12 *Status window open*

It has been an hour since I woke up. Silica and I had already ate breakfast and conquered the sixteenth room. I led a smooth life after my evolution. The horde of monsters were the prey and I was the predator. They initially grouped up and attacked us when we entered. But after they found out the disparity in power, they ran. No doubt with every room we pass, the monsters get stronger. The problem was that I was getting stronger at a faster rate. The vampire bats that I found hard to beat in the beginning were like ants to me now. I could also use my tails as weapons. They were fluffy and seemed no more than decoration items. But if I put the right amount of force, it can pierce like a spear. It also seems that my experience levels were harder to get since my foes were so weak. The sixteenth room had swarms of giant bees that triple the amount of monsters in usual rooms. But I only gained a single level. The honey we ate after clearing the room was a bonus as well. By the end of the day, we had reached the 21st room. The rooms were easy to clear at my current level. I was currently at the strength of the rooms in the 30s. It seems more of a grind fest than anything. The rooms were not hard to clear, they were just time consuming. Because of the agreement I made with Silica, we would kill every single monster in every room we entered. It was to make me as strong as possible before heading to the next. The monsters being weak also allowed me to become closer to Silica. While we were going through the rooms, we chatted about things. Silica had a habit of insulting me. But during fights, she became very serious. She often stepped in before I could torture or toy with the monsters. It seemed that the rooms after the 15th followed the same rocky terrain. The 21st room was no different. My nose picked up the scent of three foxes. They were hidden behind the rocks. Silica. There are demon foxes hidden behind the rocks. ¡ºWhy tell me¡ you¡¯re just going to solo it anyway¡¡» I¡¯m telling you to get off my fur. Silica had grown fond of my fur ever since I evolved. She would lay on my back while I hunted monsters. She claims that it was my fault that my fur was so fluffy. But her constant clingy was getting to me. Silica would also shout in my head if I moved too much. She was really annoying. After I said that she got off and flew off to a safe distance. My body started to glow. It was emitting a bright light as my body shape started to change. My four legs started to dwindle to a mere two. I had activated my Humanoid Transformation. I found my Humanoid Transformation to be a completely useless ability. To start off, I could not fully control it. I could not adapt to the sudden change of being a two legged creature. When I first transformed in the 18th floor, I nearly got myself killed when I ran around on fours during my Humanoid Transformation. Secondly, the mana consumption was ridiculous. It costs 1000 mana to transform into a humanoid and even after transformation, the mana would still decrease. As a humanoid, I could still use my shadow ability but the mana cost was too high and inefficient. It would decrease rapidly and I could use both abilities for three minutes max. And with my mana pool, 2 times a day was the best I could do. As to how I look¡ well¡ it¡¯s complicated. I finally realized why it was called Humanoid Transformation. I was not fully human. Even though my face was that of a human, my fox features still remained. My fox like ears remained making it quite obvious that I was a beast of some sort. My fangs and claws were also in my human form. It¡¯s not that obvious to see my fangs but I can guarantee that the sharpness is still the same. My hair was long. It was up to knee length. Silica said that she envied the silky white hair I had, but don¡¯t old people have white hair? My facial features were that of a teenager. They spelled out youth. It was weird the first time I saw myself. Silica made a water pool that acted as a mirror. My face was different from my previous life. Not that the ears made me look weirder. But I was really good looking. A case of theft: this story is not rightfully on Amazon; if you spot it, report the violation. My strength and speed also remained the same. My 1.7m tall human body was more flexible than my fox form. But it was hard to move and use my full capabilities. The humanoid structure was disparate from a fox. Just standing up and walking as a humanoid was learning how to walk as a baby. The strength that was naturally grasped from my fox form was impossible to control as a human. Silica said she preferred my fox form due to being completely naked after transformation. Looks like for once we agreed on the same thing. But for now, I need to train my human form. After changing into my humanoid form, I had no time to lose. Every second was precious.

The exact same status window of the boss I had previously fought before appeared as I made contact with the first Demon Fox. I ran up to it. The demon fox was shocked at my appearance. I guess it was due to my scent remaining the same. Running up, I was slower than I was in fox form. But that was a given. The fox tried to pounce at me when I got in range but I used my hand to pierce his heart. *doki doki* His heart was still alive. Beating at a constant rate. But it was detached from the fox¡¯s body. I let out a grin after seeing the fear in the monsters eyes. *Crunch*

The fox that laid in my hand slowly closed its eyes. My face was filled with its mucus due to the fox panicking when it was about to die. I don¡¯t see the fear in dying. After all, I¡¯ve died before. The other two foxes tried to ambush me from behind. But I had already knew of their current location due to their smell. I jumped lightly to the side to dodge their blow but one of the foxes made a light scratch on my back. Pain. It was a feeling I haven¡¯t felt in a while. It honestly felt good to feel alive. With that I charged towards the foxes. The foxes however, turned tail and ran away. They retreated at top speed. Their instincts probably screamed that I was a foe they could not defeat. This was the scenario I was experiencing in the normal rooms. I was hoping that a boss could put up more of a fight. Looks like I was wrong. Running as a human a huge setback. It took me longer to catch up to my prey. When I caught up, I swung my body like a whip and aimed my claws at the unlucky Demon Fox¡¯s head. It had tried to use its agility, a trait that Demon Foxes are proud of to dodge my attack. But my arm swung and twisted his neck a full 180degrees. The fox died immediately.

The last demon fox gave up on running and groveled on the ground. It was probably showing that he gave up. If I care about honor, I would have given up on killing such a worthless foe. But I walked up to him before crushing his skull with a stomp from my foot.

With that, the 21st floor was conquered. I changed back to my fox form. It felt weird staying in my human form for such a long time. Silica was staring at me for a while now. Her eyes were filled with pity. It seemed that after I told her my story, she had been careful to avoid the topic of foxes. Well¡ I guess I should brighten the mood. Hey Silica you hungry? ¡ºYou should have prepared my meal already. Baka Kitsune.¡» I chuckled a bit to myself before entering my shadow. I took out a bowl that was made up of leaves. We found it while fighting the monkey tribe. I filled it up with honey and a banana. Before leaving I took out some bee meat as well. The crunchy chewy taste was addictive. Silica had prepared an ice mat which laid out neatly on the rocky surface. I then laid out the meals on the mat. Silica had a huge smile on her face after seeing the honey. We usually ate dinner quickly as we wanted to clear the rooms quickly. But I think its ok for use to take our time just for today. We ate while I listened to Silica teach me more about the world. She was like a history teacher. If I want to survive in this fantasy like world, its best to get as much information as possible. After eating, we went to sleep. *** Day 13 So how many floors today? ¡ºTen should be possible if we try hard.¡» Ten?! How many screws did you lose this time¡ ¡ºI¡¯m going to help out this time. We need to get out as soon as possible. Be grateful that I¡¯m even volunteering my services you idiot.¡» We cleared floors 22 to 30 at a super-fast pace. My speed in my fox form was unmatchable. Every monster that we encountered were force to fight head on. Those that ran were easily caught by me. Silica would then make a water barrier to trap the monsters in a cage with me. The water barrier spell was a low mana cost spell that makes surrounding water vapor condense into their liquid state before forming a cage to surround the enemy. Enemies that try to pass through the water barrier will get frozen immediately. Silica spells are amazing for a support. Some monsters like a pig headed humanoid called Kobolds laughed when they were trapped in the cage with me. It was only when their heads flew off did they scream in fear. Boss monsters were just huge creatures with high HP. The time taken was longer to defeat them. But with my high agility, I would stall the fight while Silica casts a chant for a freeze spell. After we cleared the 30th room by killing a 2m tall bear. Silica said we only took 12 hours to complete 10 floors. I was not sure if she was praising me. I mean... I don¡¯t know how long a person should take to clear a room. As we have reached our goals for the day, we ate dinner before going to bed.

Chapter 7: Day 14 - 16 Day 14 We woke up early and managed to clear three floors. The 34th floor was hard to clear making us take a long time. Instead of having a large number of weak monsters, the room contained around twenty strong ones. I realized the limits to my physical capabilities. I could no longer rely on just out powering my foes. When I first entered the room, I saw the monsters in front of me.
Level: 66 HP: 3122/3122 MP: 412/412 Species: Golem - Dog Variant - Description: These stone statues resembles dogs that died loyal to their previous owners. Their loyalty persevered even in death, resulting in them coming back from the dead as a golem. They act like gargoyles and come to life whenever an intruder passes by.
The room was plated with marble flooring and there were pillars holding up the celling. It was a really exquisite room. Pretty grand as compared to the forests and rocky like terrains. The flooring was also chequered with black and white tiles. They were clean to the point where I could see my reflection just by looking down. Candles were placed on the wall with a giant crystal hanging on the celling, lighting up the room. Also, there was a red carpet that was laid out to the next door that was 50m away. I could faint from happiness by just breathing in the fresh air. Wow¡ this room looks amazing. ¡ºPay attention you idiot. There are twenty golems in front of us.¡» Take a chill pill Silica. They¡¯re just statues. ¡ºAre you really that stupid¡ you¡¯re facing this room own your own then.¡» I swear that Silica just laughed to herself. She had a huge grin on her face and she flew off to a safe distance. I don¡¯t think that this room will be much of a problem though. I¡¯ve soloed enough rooms to know that only boss rooms are hard. Twenty dogs that looked like German Shepherds were neatly standing on pedestals next to the door. They were sitting lifelessly, and upright with their eyes staring right at me. I ignored them and continued walking on the red carpet. I walked in a dignified manner and tried to imitate the way celebrities walked. It was my first time on the carpet after all. Who could have made such a room¡ who could have even made this place? At first I thought mankind had made this dungeon. But this place was too random. It was impossible to make a forest underground or build such a grand room. How powerful must this ¡®Sin¡¯ be to have built this place? If the sin was a lesser god, how powerful would a greater god be? I hope I can meet a greater god one day. I have a lot of questions to ask. Before I knew it, I was standing in front of the door. Using my tail, I pushed down the door handle. *Crackle* *Crackle* The sound of something moving entered my ears. Hmm¡ that was odd. My nose hasn¡¯t picked up the scent of anything moving. My keen sense of smell has saved my life many times in this dungeon. It could pick up movements of enemies that were not in my line of sight. Making fighting multiple enemies easier. Turning around, I saw the twenty Dog shaped golems getting off their pedestals. They were alive. I saw Silica flying behind them. One hand was carrying her wand, the other was placed on her lips. No doubt she was snickering at me right now. Goddammit Silica. Why didn¡¯t you stop me from opening the door? ¡ºKekeke¡ I warned you didn¡¯t I? Baka Kitsune.¡» Then at least separate them. Twenty is impos- ¡ºToo bad. It¡¯s your punishment for not listening to my warning. (¦á¦Ø¦á)¡» Looks like I¡¯m fighting alone. Maybe it¡¯s true that I¡¯ve been too reliant on Silica lately. Even though she doesn¡¯t help by using spells that outright decimates our enemies, she helps by trapping and disabling monsters. That helped increase my combat experience as I got to fight the monsters myself. I must say our teamwork has almost reached perfection. We did not need to telepathically communicate to know what the other was going to do. The golems did not wait for me to make the first move. Four of the dogs dashed straight at me. I retreated to my right by running as fast as I could. Fighting twenty dogs head on was suicidal. I needed to separate them. A group of dogs had followed me and blocked off my escape. They had read me like a book. I was now trapped in a corner with the dogs surrounding me. The dog closest to me started to slowly walk up to me. The golems were smaller than me. I was the size of an adult lion while they were mere dogs. But they unknowingly fell in my trap. By fighting in a corner, it limits the number of options they have to attack me. My back was fully covered by the walls and if they wanted to attack, they had to face me head on. The dogs did not foolishly attack me. Instead they were waiting for me to let my guard down. The dog that walked up to me was standing in front of me. It was expecting me to retaliate by killing him. If I ever laid my paws on him, the rest of the dogs would pounce on me. It seemed the dogs were trying to distinguish if I were friend or foe. The stone statues stood in front of me. They did not move at all and were back to their lifeless form. I need to make my move.

I bit the head of the first dog before jumping into the shadow of the wall. Mmm the rocky chunks of the golem tasted like chocolate. The pieces melted in my mouth. Delicious. The room was bright making the shadow of the walls to be small. If the shadow I entered was small, it limits the options I have on exiting. Going in and out of the same exit was a redundant and useless action. My abilities were useless in combat. The rest of the dogs ran up to the shadow of the wall I entered and started to swipe their paws at it. Pfft¡ they looked pretty stupid from the screen I was looking out of. I then exited the shadow about 20m away from the dogs. That was the maximum distance I could exit the shadow from. Silica give me a hand. ¡ºSo fast..? I thought that you would at least take out ten of those golems before begging me for help. I¡¯m surprised that you noticed it immediately. You sure try to act smart. Baka Kitsune.¡» Yeah. I¡¯m weak against monsters that are fast in large amounts. ¡ºYour physical abilities clearly outclass the monsters in this dungeon. Some bosses can¡¯t even lift a finger against you. But your skills are useless. If you only rely on your physical prowess, you won¡¯t survive in the real world. Use everything you can to your advantage. ¡» The dogs noticed that I exited the shadow and started to charge at me. The dogs were way weaker than the bear I fought on the 30th floor. If I ever get caught off guard, tens of dogs could jump onto my weak body and rip it to shreds. The thought of having my intestines gutted out was not a good one. I ran to the pedestals that the dogs were standing on, before smashing it with my tails. Debris of the stone rubble fell onto the ground. I used both of my tails to take two of the longest and sharpest pieces that I could find. I had a piece in each tail. If you stumble upon this narrative on Amazon, be aware that it has been stolen from Royal Road. Please report it. The golems were charging blindly at me. They looked like savages to me. With the rubble in my tail, I threw it as I hard as I could. *Smash*

The stone like spear had hit two of the closest dogs. It smashed when it made contact with the dog making its body crumble through the impact. Looks like I was right. The pedestals were made from the same material as the dogs. After I kept throwing the spears, the number of dogs dwindled down and eventually, they were wiped out. ¡ºBooo! I wanted to force you to call me Silica Oujo Sama. ( ????¦Ø???? )¡» I could have died you know. You also made me realize how useless my skills are. ¡ºYou looked pretty lame throwing javelins at the dogs.¡» My body is too fragile. I can¡¯t fight them upfront. ¡ºYou¡¯re coming up with a bunch of excuses. You were more agile than the golems. Your size and strength outclassed them as well. Your strength and speed make up for your shitty defense. If you don¡¯t learn how to use your body, you never will.¡» Why are you even helping me to get stronger? ¡ºI¡¯m training my pet. ©c(^¡ó^*)/¡» ¡. Our conversation then when on with me stating that I¡¯m not Silica¡¯s pet while she kept saying that she was my owner. I felt kind of sad when Silica reprimanded me for being a wimp. I considered Silica to be a friend. We had gone true so much by this point. It was also true that I hardly fought close up against strong foes. I usually relied on Silica to disable their mobility before I came close. I¡¯m not afraid of dying. I¡¯ve died before. I just have something I need to fulfil before dying. If I can¡¯t even get out of here alive¡ I bit my lip at that thought. I have to get out of here. Revenge¡ Silica and I ate dinner before going to sleep. We had made little progress today. *** Day 15 Nothing much happened today. We conquered nine rooms and reached the 43rd room. Silica was acting as my support again. This allowed us to clear rooms as fast as we usually did. Teaming up with Silica again made me realize how much she helped me during fights. Instead of being annoying and insulting me, she becomes focused and supports to the best of her abilities. The way that I fought relied on overpowering my enemies with my strength and speed. If there were large numbers, I relied on Silica to support me and separate the enemies I faced. Without her, I would get ganged up on and easily lose. I would resort to using trickery or outsmarting my opponents. It was impossible for me to win straight up fights with someone who has equal stats as me. My skills that I gained from evolution were utterly useless. My shadow ability was mainly used for storage and could only be used as mobility during fights. The mobility it grants is just an escape tool. If I bring a stronger foe into the shadow, I would definitely die. My humanoid transformation was useless as well. It had an absurd mana cost and was harder to use than my fox form. Fighting as a human would just make me weaker. I hope that my next evolution would be a tad bit useful. Also, lately I¡¯ve gotten to near death situations. After the lecture I receive, I¡¯ve started to fight at closer range. I literally run up to my opponents and fight them head on. To my surprise, this method was really effective. My sense of smell allowed me to detect enemy movements and my agility allowed me to dodge incoming attacks. But in the 39th room, the boss who was a giant praying mantis, almost managed to bite my arm off. It was thanks to Silica¡¯s quick reflexes that I still have my front paw. She created an ice lance that pierced the praying mantis head. Sometimes I wonder if she really needed to travel with me in the first place. After she got back her mana, she seemed to be really strong. I¡¯ve had asked her about her seal and the ant queen. But she seemed to avoid the questions by talking about different topics. Well¡ if she wants to keep that a secret, I don¡¯t really mind. After all, I think of her as a friend. The 43rd was inhabited by a tribe of ostrich like monsters. It had long legs that had sharp claws. They also ran as fast as me, making it hard to hunt them down. They had made giant nests that contained a soft cotton like material. After we killed them, I stored them in my shadow before we stole their beds for the night. Sleeping on something soft for a change felt amazing. *** Day 16 I had reached level 49 when we completed the 50th room. Silica and I were a great combo. I could no longer solo rooms and fighting alone could be considered suicide. The monsters in the higher rooms were on the same power level as me. I needed to rely on tricking my opponents in order to survive. One of the tactics I¡¯ve learnt was something I called ¡®Shadow Passing¡¯. It was basically entering a large shadow for movement before entering my prey¡¯s shadow. They won¡¯t notice you enter their shadow and by turning into human form in their shadow, I can come out and use my claws or fangs to tear their head off. Allowing me to assassinate them. It felt as if I were a ninja. But it requires me to move stealthily and quickly in fox form. I had failed a couple of times to even manage to pull it off once. I was happy as I finally managed to make use of my abilities. Silica on the other hand, laughed at me whenever I failed at Shadow Passing. She seemed to gain enjoyment at my failures. My Shadow Passing skill also makes me very vulnerable. If I enter a monsters shadow and they notice me, I would be a sitting duck. I would not be able to leave the shadow and I¡¯ll eventually run out of mana. We also ran out of fruits lately. After passing the forests zones, we were unable to find any fruits or meals that suited to Silica¡¯s taste. She shouted a bunch of angry emoticons in my head before throwing tantrums. She really acts like a child sometimes. After we finished the 50th room, we ate dinner which consisted of roasted kobold meat. Silica puked after I told her she ate the intestines of the Kobold. She was eating with a wide smile on her face before I said that. Anyway, the intestines were the best part of the kobold. I don¡¯t see how it could be disgusting in the first place. At the end of the day, it¡¯s just food. After eating the roasted kobold, we went to sleep.

Do people actually think of things while they sleep?! It¡¯s hard to explain. Basically when I sleep, I close my eyes to only see darkness. The day will pass and I¡¯ll just wake up. In other words when I sleep, I would look at darkness until I woke up. Dreams are a mystery to me. Even though I did not have dreams, I have a strong imagination. Back on planet Earth, I would often imagine myself as a hero. A hero that was chosen out of thousands and my goal would be to defeat the demon lord in order to save the world. I would find companions along the way and eventually have a harem to myself. But of course, imaginations were just imaginations. Thinking back to my dream, it felt realistic. But as time passed, my thoughts became fuzzy. I could not remember the exact scene. However, I still remembered the context of my dream. In my dream, I was a young human boy. I lived in a cottage with my family. We had a big grassy field that stretched through the plains. My father would work as a farmer while my mother would stay at home and teach me. Life was peaceful. One day a big fiery dragon that breathed fire, attacked the village I live in. The village razed to the ground. Nothing was left standing from the dragon¡¯s rampage. In order to get my revenge, I trained every day to become a knight. I would practice sword fighting till the late hours and worked out whenever I had time. While other children played with toys, I was learning how to handle a sword. Eventually, I got recruited in the army. I felt proud of finally being in the ranks of the same people who I looked up to as my benefactors. A knight that risked his life on a daily basis to protect those in need. It was every boy¡¯s dream to join the army. But in my first expedition, I saw the harsh reality of war. We entered a forests said to house a lot of monsters in order to kill the dragon that once destroyed my village. Passing through the forests was difficult. Every day was a struggle to stay alive. We would get ambushed by wolves and attacked by ogres. The comrades that I spent fought side by side eventually dwindled. Soon enough only ten of us were left. Morale was low. We had lost motivation to travel. It wasn¡¯t long before it was my turn to go. During a night raid, a bunch of trolls found our campsite and attacked us. We were caught off-guard and many of us died. The last scene I could remember was laying beneath a large peach tree in my proud full body armor that I worked so hard to get. My first expedition resulted in my death. I then woke up, drenched in sweat. Breathing heavily, I looked to my side to see Silica sleeping peacefully. It was a pretty surreal experience. It felt so real. Silica eventually woke up. We followed our daily schedule by eating breakfast before proceeding to the next room. We were already in the 51st room. Time had passed by so fast. I could still remember the day I was born. I wonder what my mother was like¡ Putting my thoughts aside, Silica supported me while I tore the monsters to shreds. The 51st room contained bunny like humanoids. They had animal characteristics with no resemblance to humans at all. The only difference they had from a regular rabbit was their size and the fact they stood on two legs. The room was a rocky like place that resembled a cavern. It had a small crystal in the celling that was the only light source in the room. I had thought of putting a torch in one of my tails. But that would be inefficient if we fought the monsters in this level. The bunnies were agile. They had fast reflexes that prevented me from outright clawing their face off. Whenever I thought I had them trapped, they would dodge before retreating. In terms of strength, I would say that they were slightly weaker than me. They had tried to punch me a few times but I hid in the shadows of the room. Their punch could break the rocks in this level. I used Shadow Passing to assassinate the bunnies. By now, I was close to mastering this technique. The key to using this ability was erasing your presence. If you erase your presence, beings that live by their instincts would be unable to detect your location. I had learnt the concept of presence when conversing with Silica. She basically schooled me on how the mechanic worked. If you ever encounter a tiger, you may run away in fear. But why don¡¯t you feel fear when you encounter a rabbit? Another term for presence is called murderous intent. If you¡¯re intent is high, you could scare off weak enemies or in extreme situations, could even make them faint. Our instincts helps to detect this intent in order to protect ourselves from stronger foes. No one would willing die by fighting a battle they can¡¯t win. When Silica unleased her presence in front of me, I almost fainted from shock. Normally, she was a small fairy that I always depended on. But after she let loose, she seemed like a giant. Our difference in strength was incomparable. I was grateful for not making her my enemy. She then taught me the basics of controlling my presence in order for me to master my ability. As I was level 49, I could do Shadow Passing 4 times. The main issue was the mana cost of changing into human form. Switching forms burned my mana bar. It was the best skill I had but the cost was really inefficient.
Shadow Control Level Up - New ability learnt
After using my shadow form for the fourth time and killing a bunny, a window appeared telling me that my shadow control leveled up. There were still two more bunny humanoids left in the room. Silica made a water barrier, allowing to fight one rabbit at a time. The rabbit humanoid leaped in front of me. It aimed a left hook at my face. But I suddenly released my killing intent, making the rabbit retreat back in shock. I then ran in front of him before using my tail to pierce his heart. It moved did not dodge in time even though he noticed my attack. It was due to being shock at my sudden presence.
You have gained 42,391 exp
Silica then opened the water barrier, allowing the last bunny humanoid inside. It was shivering in fear after seeing the carcass of its brethren. I ran up to him on my fours. When I got close, the bunny retaliated by punching the air. It had assumed I would run straight at him. I was quick enough to see his attack. I dodged by ducking down before pouncing on its arm. *Crunch* I bit its forearm off. Its meat tasted like salmon. It then retreated back while staring at its torn limb. *chew* *chew*. Eating the arm allowed me to restore HP and MP at the same time. I¡¯m not sure how this world works. But eating flesh or food regenerates HP while drinking monster blood restores MP. Blood was oozing out of its arm. Apparently the trauma of losing a limb was too much for it to handle. The rabbit then ran away in fear. It made a grave mistake by running into the water barrier. Monsters that try to escape Silica¡¯s water barrier get frozen inside the water. It prevented monsters from foolishly leaving and sent a message to the rest of the monsters. Too bad none of its kind attempted to leave the barrier earlier. All that¡¯s left of the rabbit was its body that was frozen solid. It looked like a professional ice sculpture. The details were really life like. ¡ºGood job idiot. Now let¡¯s head to the nex-¡» Hey Silica I gained a new ability. ¡ºOh really? What is it?¡» The window said shadow control level up¡ then something about gaining a new ability. Support the creativity of authors by visiting the original site for this novel and more. ¡ºYou know that you can check the description of your abilities and skills¡ right¡?¡» You can?! ¡ºI assumed you knew as you know how to use your abilities¡ a-anyway just say shadow control description in your head and it should display what your ability is.¡» Thanks Silica! ¡ºI-It¡¯s not as if I helped you because I wanted too¡ baka Kitsune.¡» Silica covered her face to hide in order to hide her expression. But I could tell that that her face was bright red. I wanted to tease her, but I have better things to do. *Shadow Control Description*
Shadow Control
Level2
**Description** Shadow Control level 1 Access - Gives user the power to enter shadows freely. Shadow Control level 2 Mark ¨C Allows user to mark an objects or being with his/her blood. User will be able to access their shadow freely.
The descriptions are very vague¡ I know what <> does. But what does <> do? I guess I don¡¯t have a choice. I need to test it out. Hey Silica. ¡ºYes?¡» She removed her hand that was covering her face. We were looking into each other¡¯s eyes. Come closer. ¡ºWhat are you planning? Does it have something to do with your ability? Baka Kitsune¡¡» Yeah I want to test something out. I turned into my humanoid form as Silica flew closer to me. When she was close enough, I bit the lower part of my lip before kissing her. Forcing my lips to connect with hers, I then sticked my tongue into her mouth allowing them to intertwine. At first Silica was pushing me away, but then her strength suddenly faded and she accepted my kiss. Our saliva¡¯s mixed and I drank it down while sucking her tongue. The sensation of kissing was ecstatic and addictive. Her soft lips felt like heaven when it connected with mine. Our saliva formed a line when our lips parted. It signified the end of bliss. Her saliva tasted sweeter than honey. Only a minute had passed, but it felt as if we were connected for hours. It felt so¡ good. ¡ºWha-What was t-that y-you idiot! >\\\< ¡ it was my first¡ time¡¡» Silica¡¯s face flushed bright red. But by kissing her, it allowed me to smear blood on her lips. Honestly that was my first kiss as well. As an otaku, you don¡¯t get to meet many girls, let alone kiss one. Ignoring Silica, I reverted to my fox form before jumping into my shadow. My shadow was special as it did not move when I hid inside it. Even when the light source changed or glowed brighter, my shadow¡¯s size would remain the same as long as I was inside it. When I entered my shadow, I finally understood what my <> ability was. In the shadow, there were two screens. The screens were laid parallel from each other, sandwiching me in the middle. One screen showed the exit of my shadow, while the other showed the exit to Silica¡¯s shadow. My <> ability allowed me to connect shadows together, letting them act as a wormhole. This will allow me to assassinate monsters faster during fights. I just need to put my blood on them. I then exited through Silica¡¯s shadow, she flew back in surprise. It turns out that my original shadow was still in its current location. And by walking around, I did not have a shadow. My mana was also constantly decreasing as well. Was this the side effect of using the ability? I then returned by entering Silica¡¯s shadow before exiting through my own. My shadow had returned back to me. It turns out if I use my shadow as a medium, my mana would decrease. I then tested my ability by entering the shadow of a nearby rock while exiting through Silica¡¯s shadow. It turns out my mana did not decrease at all. But when I entered Silica¡¯s shadow, there was only one screen that showed the exit of her shadow. This means that my <> power was a one way ticket to who I marked unless I use my own shadow. But using my shadow will decrease my mana¡. I then experimented my ability even further by marking two different objects. It turns out that the experiment did not work out in the way I had initially planned. When I entered the shadow, there were two screens. The first was where I entered from. The second was the object I marked second. It turns out I could only mark one object or being at a time. ¡ºW-wait a second¡ were you just testing out your new ability?!¡» Yep. What did else did you think I was doing? ¡ºN-nothing y-you baka Kitsune.¡» Teasing Silica while she was flustered made me experience a warm and fuzzy feeling in my chest. It felt pleasant to say the least. She was shaking her head while covering her face. So Silica can be cute too huh¡ We then continued on to the other rooms. With my new ability <>, we managed to keep up the pace even in the higher level rooms. It was a gap closer and allowed me to ambush monsters in my wolf form. Shadow Passing was more deadly as a skill as it¡¯s a guaranteed assassination. But the mana cost was too much. Using <> was cheaper and faster. Silica seemed distracted during some fights. It was pretty uncharacteristic to cast the wrong spell while we were fighting. She would usually be serious and often insulted me during fights. But today, she was silent and messed up quite a bit. I wonder what made her like this¡ oh well. I guess everyone has their bad days. We conquered the 60th room before deciding to rest for the night. Silica told me that our pace would drop once we hit the 50th room. But today, we manage to make a lot of progress. It was mainly due to me getting a new ability. I was also level 83. The monsters that I encountered today were like boss monsters on the lower rooms. But this time they came in large numbers allowing me to gain experience fast. Silica snuggled in my fur when we slept tonight. Normally, she would sleep alone on a soft rock we found on the 16th floor. But seeing how comfortably she was sleeping, I could not wake her. Silica was someone I held dear to me. I sometimes feel that she knew me better than my parents did. *Status window open*

The Cerberus was literally 4m tall with three heads. We had spent the entire day completing rooms and needless to say, we were both exhausted. Silica had stopped acting as a support and took up a more offensive role. We covered each other¡¯s backs and often competed on who killed the most monsters. Also, I had evolved to a 3 tails Kitsune while we killed the 66th room¡¯s boss. It was a lackluster evolution fight as compared to my other two. Silica and I killed the Sand Shark pretty quickly. *Duplication Description*
Duplication
Level1
**Description** Duplication level 1 Clone ¨C Allows user to make an illusion of themselves
I kind of realized how useless the description windows are. They aren¡¯t descriptive at all. I had gained a new ability called Duplication. It basically allows me to make clones of myself. The clones were not real, they are just illusions. If my clones ever take a lethal wound, they would disappear. They also could not deal any harm to enemies, making it useless for offensive. For now, I used duplication as a distraction, allowing me to use Shadow Passing. When I used duplication, a clone would literally form from thin air on a location I concentrated on. I could not make a clone inside objects. The clones had shadows of their own and looked exactly like me, making it impossible to tell the difference. The mana cost of Duplication is reasonable unlike my humanoid transformation. It costs 500 mana to make a single clone and another 100 mana to make it move on its own. The cost of humanoid transformation increased as well. I think it scales off percentage mana instead of having a fixed cost. I have yet to gain any offensive ability. My abilities so far are just useful for running away. However, Silica told me that abilities level up the more I use them, so hopefully I¡¯ll be able to gain an offensive ability from my skills one day. Upon evolution, my body also grew slightly bigger. I had grew to around 1.5m in height. Which was only 0.1m taller than my previous height. My body was also very lean and slim. I did not have much muscles on me. Not to anyone¡¯s surprise, I also gained my third tail. But I had found it weird that we were this close to finishing the dungeon. We had gone through so much in this short span of time. Maybe it wasn¡¯t that bad to have someone by your side. ¡ºRest up Anon, we¡¯re going to fight the final boss tomorrow.¡» Erm¡ Silica¡ ¡ºWhat is it? You don¡¯t have to thank me for saving you. Baka Kitsune. ¡» Will you go out with me? ¡ºW-wait w-what?! Is that a pro-proposal?!¡» Silica¡¯s mouth was wide open while she started to fly around frantically. The air was fresh in the forest like room. Was that the reason she was shock..? I mean would you stay with me after we leave this dungeon¡ like travel around the world together. I would have to take care of something first but after that¡ I want to be with you. ¡ºO-oh! That¡¯s what you meant haha¡ haha¡ sure I promise we¡¯ll be together after leaving this place. I don¡¯t have any plans after all.¡» Silica flew up to me with her pinky finger stretched out. After waiting for a minute with it stretched out, she glared at me. She was expecting a response. Well¡ I don¡¯t have any fingers¡ I then licked her with my tongue. It got her whole body drenched in my saliva. ¡ºB-baka Kitsune you got m-me wet¡¡» We then argued for a while before going to bed. Tomorrow would be the last day in this hellhole. *** Day 19 We got up early and ate our first meal of the day as usual. What stood before us was a door. The door was bigger than usual and was probably 3m in height. It was shaped as a rectangle and showed no signs of aging nor deteriorating. It was also bright red in color, contrasting with the forest-like room. I used my newly acquired tail to move the handle down before pushing the door open. Upon entering, we were greeted by a pitch black room, the only light source came from the previous room. The floors were chequered black and white with marble pillars holding up the ceiling. It was a familiar scene as I¡¯ve been to a similar room before. There was also a red carpet leading into the nothingness. Something was strange¡ it was quiet¡ too quiet. Was this supposed to be the final room? I turned my head next to see Silica chanting a spell. After speaking her last words, her wand started emitting light. The light was weak but it allowed us to see what was ahead. But the sight that greeted us was unpleasant. The beautiful marble pillars were tainted with blood and body parts of what seemed to be humanoids were scattered all over the ground. Status windows popped up confirming that the bodies belonged to humanoid ants. The limbs and organs of the said creatures could be seen all over the room. As we walked deeper, the bloodstains became more visible. The once chequered floors were no longer in existence they were just dyed in the blood of the humanoids. All of the bodies showed similar signs of death and by judging from all of their missing heads, they probably died immediately. Their corpse however, were mutilated even after death. There were even see half eaten intestines on the red carpet. The stench of rotting flesh was intolerable. Their bodies had decayed for a few days. What kind of sick pervert would do this¡? The grotesque sight did not faze me at all. But for Silica, it was a different story. The smell was getting to her and she had to cover her nose. She then proceeded to puke her breakfast all over the blood stained floor. Even her vomit smelled better than the rotting flesh and had helped relieve the smell. *Squish.. squash* My footsteps were making the same sound that emitted when walking on water puddles. By now, my soft, white paws were dyed crimson red. The red carpet also camouflaged with the tiles making it hard to see if we were making progress. What we saw next was unbelievable. A giant chair was made with the heads of the severed ant humanoids. No¡ it was not a chair. It was a throne. There was something sitting on the top. Its silhouette figure was that of an animal with four legs. It was gigantic. At the base of the throne, there was a body of a 3m long ant humanoid. It was bigger than the rest of the humanoids that were around 1.7m tall. Its abdomen was also unusually large. ¡°So you¡¯ve finally come, Sin of Gluttony.¡± ¡°¡.¡± The stranger¡¯s voice was in a deep serious tone. It sounded really majestic as if a king was speaking. It totally contrasted with Silica¡¯s voice that was filled with rage. She was screaming at the top of her lungs. I¡¯ve never seen her like this before. She was usually calm and never reacted to anything. Was that thing someone she knew? For some reason, I could understand what the stranger was saying. Silica¡¯s words were incomprehensible. Her words sounded like a bunch of gibberish being screamed at a high tone. Unauthorized usage: this tale is on Amazon without the author''s consent. Report any sightings.

The figure then jumped down from his throne, sending a tremble as he landed. His movements were elegant for a creature that was around 4 meters tall. He was at least 3 times larger than me. The figure¡¯s appearance was that of a wolf. His fur was pure black and he only had one tail. His eyes glowed bright red and the presence he emitted was heavy. Just by looking at him made me slowly lose my conscious. I had no choice other than to look down. ¡°Oh¡ Kitsune. How low have you fallen? I had once considered you my rival. But you aren¡¯t even fit to be acknowledge by me now.¡± ¡°W-who ar-are y-you? I could only stutter¡ I was scared of even thinking of talking to that¡ that thing. I could tell that the wolf was speaking in beast language. Beast language was what I spoke to Roguard when I was born. It seems that animals that belong to the dog family, canidae, speak this language. ¡ºHis an Greater God¡ he goes by the name Inugami.¡» Wait¡ you can understand beast language? ¡ºI can even speak it as well. Baka Kitsune (??? ? ?? )¡» ¡ Then why have we been communicating through telepathy? ¡ºBecause it¡¯s easier that way. Tee hee xP¡» I felt like smacking Silica with my tail¡ but I could not move with the Inugami in front of me. At least talk in beast, so that I can understand. ¡ºFine¡¡» ¡°I don¡¯t have any business with you¡ Kitsune. I¡¯m here for the Sin.¡± I then turned my head towards Silica. She had a worried expression and was shaking her head. Silica¡ you¡¯re the Sin of Gluttony? ¡ºI-I wanted to tell you b-but the timings were never right. I just don¡¯t want you to hate me. I-I¡¯m sorry! For-¡» I knew. ¡ºWHAT?! H-how?!¡» Well... you gave a lot of hints¡ the first was when you were shocked at my ability to see status windows. Second was that you knew everything about this place. The most obvious hint was that your mana never decreased when you casted spells and you haven¡¯t leveled up in 60 floors... ¡ºWhy didn¡¯t you tell me earlier?! B-baka!¡» I thought that you had personal reasons to hide your past. So¡ ¡ºGuess I don¡¯t have to keep it hidden anymore.¡»

Silica¡¯s status window had changed. Most of her statuses were unidentifiable, it was similar to the Inugami¡¯s. I then turn my head to face the Inugami. He was staring at Silica with zero interests in me. ¡°You know why I¡¯ve come right?¡± ¡°Y-you killed the Ant Queen¡¡± ¡°Hah¡ She was nothing more than a weakling. She only managed to overthrow you by sealing your mana. I killed her to get the seal back.¡± ¡°Too bad for you, I got my mana back.¡± ¡°Hmm¡? I¡¯m pretty sure that eating a mana crystal is only a temporary solution. The mana stone you ate only gave you a fixed amount of mana¡ and I¡¯m pretty sure you¡¯re low after clearing 60 rooms or so.¡± ¡°H-how do you know?!¡± ¡°I have my sources¡¡± Inugami then took out a crystal that was wrapped in his tail. The crystal he held was one of a kind. It was transparent with a ruby colored glass shell covering it. ¡°T-that is-¡± ¡°Your sin was eating the fruit of eden¡ I was sent here by my master to seal your soul in this. But now that there¡¯s a bigger fish here¡ you¡¯re free to go¡± Inugami suddenly glanced at me before reverting his attention back to Silica. ¡°Y-you wouldn''t dare.¡± Inugami was calm. He was staring to the jewel, seemingly admiring its beauty. He was playfully moving it around with his tail with a huge grin on his face. Silica on the other hand pointed her wand at the face of the Inugami. She was literally the size of an ant compared to the Inugami. He could probably swat her like a fly if he wanted to. I then fell on my fours. I could not move¡ I was being sandwiched by the presence of two gods. It was making it hard to breathe. The two gods were letting out immense killing intent. It looks like a fight was about to begin. ¡°<> Activate¡± The crystal that was around the Inugami¡¯s tail started to float in the air. It was glowing, emitting a bright scarlet light. It seemed to have a gravity of its own. Blue droplets in the air started to harden before revolving around artifact before getting absorbed into the crystal. The more droplets that entered, the more intensely it glowed. ¡ºAnon. Get out of here. NOW.¡» Hearing Silica¡¯s warning, I tried to move. But my body felt a hundred tons heavier and I could only stagger onto my feet. Then... a bright red light shot in my direction. I could only close my eyes when the beam flew at me. Was this the end? Was I going to die? I had waited a good five seconds. But my end never came. Then, I slowly open my eyes. ¡°SILICA!¡± Silica had taken the bullet for me. The bright red beam had hit Silica instead of me. She had saved my life¡ again. ¡°AHHH!!¡± Her scream was deafening. It felt as if she was being eaten alive. Tears were streaming down her face while her body was writhing in pain. This¡ this is all my fault¡ If only I had moved¡ why am I so useless¡ time and time again I always lose the things that are close to me. Why am I not strong enough to protect what I hold dear? Silica¡ Silica¡ Silica¡ After the beamed stopped entering her body, something flew out. It was not matter. It was a spirit. That thing looked exactly like Silica. Its hair was fluffy with the cute double ponytails. Her spirit was colorless and it started to fly into the crystal. Silica¡¯s body then dropped onto the ground. It laid there lifelessly, not moving in the slightest. Her blue eyes were open with pupils dilated. She was like a doll. I could not fathom what just happened. This has to be a bad dream right? *Clink .. clink .. clink* The artifact fell onto the ground. Silica¡¯s soul was sleeping peacefully inside the jewel. The once transparent artifact now contained her soul. Inugami then walked up to the artifact before picking it up with his tail. Inugami then proceeded to walk towards the door on the other side of the room. He then stopped beside me before giving me one last glance. ¡°So this is how low you¡¯ve fallen.¡± After Inugami exited the room, I was left alone in the pitch black room. *Day 19 to be continued*

It motivates me to post more chapters ^w^ On a side note, I would like to inform you guys that I won''t be able to post chapters so frequently from now on. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- A Short Story about Silica. *** ¡°¡Silica¡ Silica!!!¡± H-huh? Silica¡¯s conscious was pulled back into reality by the voice of the stranger. She had been daydreaming for a while now. She was sitting on a finely carved wooden chair next to a tea table that was made of pure glass. There was never much to do in heaven. Silica then turned her head to find out the cause of the disturbance. ¡°Sigh¡ What do you want Asmosdeus?¡± A staggering 1.9m tall women with a demonic appearance was standing in front of Silica. Asmodeus¡¯s skin had a nice light brown tan that matched well with her silky yet curly long hair. But the cause of her demon like appearance was due to the bat like wings on her back and horns that were similar to a ram attached to her head. On a side note¡ her chests were huge. Silica would get squashed like a bug if ever stuffed in between. Asmodeus was wearing a loose toga which showed the best of her figure. Asmodeus was well known throughout heaven for her sexual appetite making Silica wonder what Asmodeus wanted with her. ¡°I was just wondering what you¡¯ve been doing the last hundred years or so. Most of us Lesser Gods don¡¯t really do much other than have sex all day. You however¡ just laze around your house while staring into the planets. Don¡¯t you want a sex friend? ¡± Asmodeus proceeded to look at Silica¡¯s mansion. Heaven was a big place that was literally made in the clouds. There was so much space with so little to do. Every single God no matter weak or strong had their own house that usually took up to a cloud to themselves. Of course Greater Gods have bigger houses than Lesser Gods, but their houses were still the size of a mansion. Some Gods felt that it was lonely to live alone in such a big house resulting in them staying together to have daily mass orgy sessions. Even God¡¯s that get married won¡¯t even care about their spouses. To them, marriage was just a symbol of trust. Upon hearing Asmodeus¡¯s words, Silica could only pout. 500 years ago, Silica met Asmodeus in one of parks in heaven. It was not a pleasant meeting as Asmodeus was having sex in public. Her jugs were particularly big and had knocked an unknowing Silica who was reading, onto the floor due to impact of the jiggling. They may laugh about the incident now, but Silica and Asmodeus got into a huge fight that got them punished by the other Gods. ¡°Unlike the uncivilized you, I am waiting for the one.¡± ¡°Pfft¡ hahaha¡ the one?! Even the goddess Aphrodite has been making out with some Lizard chick. You have to give up on your dreams of meeting Mr Right.¡± ¡°Stop laughing!¡± Silica then frowned at Asmodeus who was laughing while rolling on the cloud like floor. She then stared off into the distant planets while making a small grin to herself. Silica then whispered words so soft that even a Goddess like Asmodeus could not hear her. ¡°I¡¯ll meet him one day... you¡¯ll see¡± -END- *** Day 19 Silica¡ are you ok? I subconsciously tried communicating through telepathy to her, but her body still laid lifelessly on the floor with no response. I wobbled in a zigzag manner toward Silica. I felt my legs crumbling as my muscles gave way to the pain I felt in my chest. It was making it hard to breathe. I¡¯ve never felt something like this before. Was this what losing someone felt like? I walked up to Silica¡¯s body to see her doll like expression. Inugami had stolen her soul. Why did Silica block the beam¡? So many questions popped up in my head and I could only feel sadness whenever I thought about Silica. I moved her body to the safest place I could think of. My shadow. My shadow was only accessible by my ability Shadow Control. Making it impossible for anyone else to get her body. By placing Silica in my shadow, it allows her to stay by my side while I search for the Inugami. I will find a way to get her back. Silica was innocent, it was my fault for not dodging in time. I am sick of living. I will get Silica¡¯s soul back before killing myself. Life is just a journey filled with sorrow. I have no motivation to live more than I have to. I sat on the blood stained floor while staring at the throne made from the heads of the ant humanoids. The torch in my tail did little to keep me warm. Silica was gone¡ *** I had exited the dungeon just moments ago to be greeted by the faint moonlight and the stars in the sky. It was a beautiful sight as the horizon looked like a vast forest with no end, a different story from the confined rooms I¡¯ve lived in for the past few days. The exit to the dungeon was a stairwell at the end of the 69th room. I exited through the side of the mountain. It seemed to be initially covered by a large boulder but was pushed aside. There was no life forms in the vicinity nor could not hear a single soul.

A window popped up displaying that there was a magic barrier. But to my naked eye, I could see no such thing. I could only see the forests in front of me. The change in scenery was alluring, the trees, the bushes they all looked real, unlike the fakes in the room underground. I breathed in the fresh air that refreshed my lungs and howled while looking at the half-moon in the sky. If only Silica was here. I then proceeded to walk deeper into the forest. I had exited the magic barrier a while ago, but it seems that no creature dare approach me. I could hear scuffling in the bushes, footprints on the floors; there were signs of living creatures being here recently but there were none in sight. I had no idea where I was heading to. I just had nowhere else to go. A horned rabbit dubious to my presence ran up to take a seed that laid on the floor. Upon making eye contact with me, it shook in fear while dropping the seed at the same time. Its legs gave way and it dropped on all fours, bowing to me. Liquid started to retire from its legs and the stench started to smell. The four legged creature seemed to dumbstruck due to my murderous intent. I had been unconsciously releasing it at full power due to the incident with Inugami. Was this how pathetic I was in front of Inugami? I continued to glare at the horned rabbit. Its existence was so pitiful. Would it be better to just kill it off? To my bewilderment, the horned rabbit stopped squirming in fear and instead started to take slow steps. Was it running away? No¡ it was moving towards me. Then, the small creature used its horn to stab my front paw. From what I could tell, the horn was only 5cm long. The wound that it caused was light and could only be considered a scratch. But I felt a nail piercing through my brain. Even this creature was braver than me. I then started to chuckle to myself. Then, I had an epiphany. If I can¡¯t beat Inugami on my own, I should just make an army to fight him. Fight quality with quantity. I then brought my head lower to match the horned rabbits¡¯, making it retreat back before running away. Looks like the first attempt to make contact was a failure. I need to learn more languages first. Communication and trust are the keys in building a strong relationship. If I can get communication resolved, I could get more creatures to join me. Looks like I would have to delay my revenge against Roguard and the demon foxes for now. I don¡¯t know where I am at the moment and I would prioritize saving Silica over them. In my eyes, they were weak; I could kill them off anytime I wanted to. With that, I went to sleep. I doubt any monsters would be foolish enough to attack me. *** Day 20 Having the sun to wake me up was a gift sent from the heavens. The sun¡¯s heat warmed up my body and its rays gently tapped on my eyes waking me up. When I opened my eyes I saw the vast emerald greens, with butterflies flying around nearby bushes. Cicada¡¯s chirpings could be heard, signifying that morning has come. It was a beautiful morning to start the day. If only that were the case. I had trouble sleeping last night. No matter how hard I tried to sleep, all I did was toss and turn on the hard grass. My mind was in a state of distraught and my lingering thoughts did not help in aiding my rest. Reading on Amazon or a pirate site? This novel is from Royal Road. Support the author by reading it there. I began my journey to find a canidae, or a creature that I could communicate with. With my vocals, I could not speak English in my fox form and I doubt that anyone could understand English in the first place. After walking for quite some time, I managed to find a lake. Looking into the water, I saw my reflection. I looked nothing like a Kitsune. My eyes were bloodshot due to the lack of sleep; my white fur was ragged up and messy. I looked like a savage beast. I bend forward while dipping my mouth into the water before drinking it. That was the way I drank in fox form. The sparkling clear water quenched my thirst and felt fresh as it entered my stomach. I then followed the stream. Back on Earth, I read that people usually settle near rivers and lakes due to the convenience of water. If I could encounter smart lifeforms, it would help me in my journey to find the Inugami. It was then I saw her. Bathing in the streams was a lady who had pale skin and my eyes estimated her to be around 1.65m tall. Her hair was dyed blonde with a highlights of light green at her fringe. Her hair was mid back long and was braided at the top. Needless to say, her figure was amazing. She was completely naked with nothing covering her at all. When the sunlight shone on her, she looked like a goddess. Her chests were large, I¡¯ve never seen melons of those size before. Her nipples were colored light pink but her blue eyes reminded me of Silicas¡ I stood still just staring in awe of the beauty in front of me. It did not take long for her to notice my presence. She was glaring at me while taking steps back. She not attempt to cover her body even though my lewd eyes were staring right at her. But from her eyes, it was no surprise that she was scared, a three tailed monster that was bigger than a lion was looking at her after all. Her clothes were hung neatly on a tree next to the lake. She was retreating slowly towards it. She was treating me like a wild animal. If she ran, she probably thought I would chase after her. To be honest, I would let her go without harm as I want nothing to do with humans. But if I wanted to save Silica, I would need the help of humans. I wouldn¡¯t mind if they enslave me if they promised to save Silica. When the beauty was at the edge of the lake, she made a mad dash for her clothes and equipment. I could not let her go. She could be my only opportunity to communicate with mankind. I need to talk to her. With that thought in mind, I made a mad dash towards the blonde girl. The lake was shallow and was only 50m in length. I could run as fast as an Olympic sprinter even at long distance, as a result I caught up to her within seconds. She had already grabbed her equipment which consisted of a bow and a quiver with arrows inside. She had attempted to take her clothes along, but her leather clothing and pantsu were thrown sloppily on the ground as she saw me gave chase. With a bow in one hand and an arrow in another, she turned around to face me. The ground was damp as water dripped down her hair. She was still completely naked with a quiver strapped to her back. She was not bothered in the slightest and her eyes were dead serious. She drew the bow back while aiming at my head. I stopped in my tracks when she drew the bow while letting out a soft sigh to myself. She was a troublesome one. I don¡¯t think I can reason with her while she¡¯s in this frantic state. And with no means of communication, I doubt that I can prove that I won¡¯t harm her. If she shoots the arrow, there is no guarantee that either one of us will get away unharmed. We stood still with no one making any movements. I was staring at her, waiting for her to make the shot. Worst come to worst, I would have to make the first move. I was going to have a nosebleed for staring at her exposed body. When I let my thoughts slip for a moment, she fired the arrow. I jumped forward while catching the arrow midair with my tail. My reaction had grown fast due to the harsh environment in the dungeon. The blonde girl had tried to take another arrow out of the quiver but I was too fast. *Boom* I knocked her backwards onto the ground making her bow fly out of her hand. My paws were holding her two hands down while my hind legs held her legs down. It was then I realized I had pinned a beautiful lady onto the ground. My fox face was facing hers. She sounded tired as I could feel her breathing heavily onto me. It felt like soft wind breeze passing through my fur making it comforting. When I looked into her face I really thought she looked like a goddess. There were no imperfections on her face at all. But wait¡ is that¡ pointy ears?! When I looked closer I could see the sharp elven like ears that I¡¯ve seen in movies and read about in books. C-could it be that she¡¯s an elf? While I was pondering to myself, I failed to realize that I had pinned her down for a few minutes now. I was just staring at her face while thinking to myself. Her arms were lean and any resistance she put up was equivalent to no resistance at all. Her physical strength was weak. Then she suddenly screamed. Her voice echoed throughout the silent forest making the leaves shake. Shit. If anyone else comes, they might misunderstand due to me pinning the lady down. I need to make her shut up. Even though it costs a lot of mana, I transformed into my humanoid form in order to quieten her down. It worked. She stopped screaming and just stared blankly at the transformed me. But just when I thought I could attempt to communicate with her, she started screaming again. This time, even louder. What is with this girl¡ don¡¯t I look human now? It was then I realized I was naked as well. Two naked humanoids, one on top of the other. I never ever thought I would be put in such a predicament. I then tried to quieten her down by placing my tail in front of her mouth. ¡°Argh¡¡± She bit my tail making me move it back in retaliation. My tail was very sensitive. Which is why I only use it as a last resort in fights. She then proceeds to scream again. My ear drums felt like it was going to burst. Her high pitch voice was deafening. Ahh¡ this may make things worst but I have to do it¡ I proceed to lock her lips with mine. Her lips were soft like Silicas, and it pushed back in contact with my lips. At first, she struggled by swinging her hands, but as her struggle led to no avail, she started to loosen up. My tongue swirled with hers and from what I can tell, she was really experienced. She then started to move her tongue in a spectacular fashion and even played with my tongue. It felt ecstatic and when we finally stopped kissing, she stopped screaming. Looks like my attempt paid off. I then loosened by grip on her limbs and stood up to get something to cover my parts. The first thing the lady did was grab her bow. She did not make any attempt to draw it but clearly showed that she did not trust me. I then covered my parts with big tree leaves I folded to make a skirt that cavemen used to wear. I then went to sit on the spot where I pinned her down. The elven lady also went to wear her clothes. That were scattered through the forests. Ah¡ I still could not forget the sight of what was beneath. After the elven lady wore her clothes, she looked like a professional archer. Her leather suit and jeans made her look like someone from the medieval age. She also tied her hair back exposing the nape of her neck. After wearing her clothes she sat beside me. She had tried to talk using elven language but I just shook my head while point to my mouth. It seemed that she understood that I could not speak her language. I took a stick with my tail before placing it in my hand before drawing two stick figures holding hands. I drew it to show that I was friendly, but the elven lady grabbed my hand while staring at me with a smile. Her sudden action gave me a shock. Looks like it¡¯s going to take a while to communicate with her¡ *Day 20 to be continued*
