《The Saga of Two Kings》 Life before the lord:Part 1 ¡°So¡ this is the dark lords palace?¡± A dark skinned man carrying a large gun asked, despite already knowing the answer. In a desolate and dreary outcropping, a small group of people were making their way towards an ancient castle that reeked of evil, almost as if it was made of evil. ¡°It radiates evil despite being over 1000 years old.¡± Said a beautiful pale skinned woman dressed in pure white cloth which held the symbol for an omega, the letters placed in ¡°Holy locations.¡± When the group of four entered the building, destruction greeted them. Chipped walls and torn rugs beside stone pedestals lined the entrance hallway, it¡¯s once magnificent glory all but forgotten. ¡°This place been rakd¡¯. You sur¡¯ you can find what chu¡¯ need?¡± A rather ugly man spoke, his gapped teeth causing a slight whistling sound when he spoke. ¡°Melinda is a powerful priestess and if my sources are correct the dark lords book should still be here.¡± A rather cute beastwoman said, a slight sadness in her eyes. ¡°Come¡ let us go search for his chambers.¡± The four searched the mansion, an eerie quiet descending upon the building as they searched. After a short few minutes of searching the room was found to be in the far back, a place where no light shone despite the morning day. ¡°It¡¯s back here.¡± The beastwoman called, her hands going for the handles. Before she could touch them the priestess¡¯s hands shot out and grabbed them, a small veil of white light over her hand. ¡°It is guarded by ancient magic. One touch and your mind will be completely shattered, lost in the world of pain.¡± The beastwoman shuddered, quickly moving away from the black doors. ¡°Please step back.¡± The priestess told the group. She then began to gather a frightening amount of mana in her hands, all of it for one purpose. With a deafening sound she smacked her hands against the door, the cry of a thousand babies coming into their ears. In but a moment it was over, but it felt like lifetime. Before the priestess could fall to the ground she was caught by the dark skinned man, a worried look on his face. ¡°It is fine, Rayan. I¡¯m just exhausted. To think it took nearly all my magic just to dispel his door wards¡ I shudder thinking about meeting him in person.¡± The four entered the room, a priceless amount of artifacts coming into sight. ¡°By the god¡ these treasures are the dark lords personal garm--! ¡° The beastwoman could not finish her sentence before the ugly farmer ran forwards, forgetting the possibility of danger. ¡°Mr.Dan no!¡± The priestess yelled. Unfortunately it was too late. The farmer, drawn by the call of greed rushed towards a spear that looked like it was covered in human faces. Before he could even scream his whole body exploded, sending guts and intestines everywhere. The priestess threw up a hastily made barrier, retching when the head of the farmer smashed against it. ¡°What was that!?¡± The beastwoman nearly screamed, fear evident on her face. ¡°That was but a small sample of the power contained inside the spear of flesh. No mortal can wear this gear and contain it¡¯s power.¡± The dark skinned man said, disgust plain on his face. ¡°And I probably don¡¯t need to say this but I will anyways. Do NOT look at the shield of terror. You will, without a doubt, be placed under its spell.¡± ¡°We know this my love. Let us get to the reason we are here for.¡± The priestess said, shakily walking away from the dark skinned man. Five hours passed since they had begun to search for ¡°It.¡± They searched the bed, the closets, the bathroom, the dressers and more yet still had no luck. ¡°Here it is!¡± The dark skinned man yelled, currently standing besides the bed. The two women walked towards him, curious as to where it was. ¡°Inside one of the pillows. It was so flawlessly seamed together I didn¡¯t think it was in them.¡± In the man¡¯s hand was a black leather bound journal, sealed together by a small white ribbon. ¡°This is it¡ the dark prophets most prized possession. His very own journal.¡± All three of them were hesitant to open it. With a quick sense Melinda knew that it was not magicked nor enchanted, just a regular black journal. ¡°Well then¡ we still have time until we need to deliver this to the church¡ shall we read it?¡± Melinda said aloud. She realized that she needed to deliver this to the church immediately yet her curiosity wanted her to open the book. Without waiting for an answer she unstrung the ribbon keeping it sealed and began to read. ------------- 1000 years ago. Karak Emalon, Age 6 ------------- ¡°But mom! Writing in a diary is girly!¡± ¡°That is not true, Karak. Many famous people wrote in diaries that retold their life¡¯s tale. You want to grow and be the greatest holy wizard right? Well, if you write in a dairy people can truly see how hard you worked to become one!¡± ¡°...do you really think I can be one?¡± ¡°Of course I do sweetie. You''re smarter than most people I know.¡± The woman said with a smile. The boy smiled back, thinking of how advanced his classes in school were compared to others. ¡°But.. I show no talent in magic and I¡¯m too weak for to wield a weapon even though Im 6! Brother Aslan is already considered a prodigy in both martial arts and magic! I¡¯m nowhere near as good as him.¡± The boy began to cry, small tears falling off of his face. The mother visibly flinched when ¡°Brother Aslan¡± was mentioned, but when the tears began to fall she hugged her son with all her strength, slightly suffocating him. ¡°It¡¯s okay sweetie, it¡¯s okay. I promise you, in the future you will become strong. Stronger than anyone in this world.¡± The mother whispered, piquing the kids curiosity. ¡°Really? The strongest holy wizard in the world?¡± The kids looked up from his mother''s bosom, eyes shining with a bright luster, happiness evident on his face. The mother did not answer, only continuing to stroke his hair. ¡°Yes¡ the strongest.¡± Unbeknownst to the kid a small tear fell off her face when she said this, the color of it black as the night. ------------- 3 years later ¡°Some say death is but a gateway into a new life. May we pray to our fathers fathers that our empress, Empress Kiyana will be blessed into a new life with loving parents and a great family.¡± The priest then placed four drops of holy water onto her body, a sign of blessings written across her chest. ¡°Shall we forever love our holy and benevolent empress Sharyl.¡± ------------- Journal Intermission When my pet mouse died, I cried for three days. When I found out I had no magical talent, I cried for seven. When my mother died, the tears never stopped. Every night I cry myself to sleep, wallowing in pity. I still remember her face when the assassin stabbed her in the back, the book she was holding falling out of her hands. And I can still hear the words she muttered as she died. ¡°Don¡¯t be weak, my son. I love you.¡± This story has been unlawfully obtained without the author''s consent. Report any appearances on Amazon. And yet to this day I am still weak. I still have no magical talent, I still have no power in which I can use to protect others. Everyday I study magical formulas and spells in hopes of awakening my non-existent magical powers. Everyday I swing, stab and smash my spear against the training dummy, hoping to gain even a small amount of strength. Everyday I pray to the Light One, hoping to gain just a small bit of power. And yet everyday I am still as weak as the day before, my magical talent still non-existent and my prayers unanswered. -------------- 2 year later ¡°What is it?¡± A beautiful redheaded female asked, looking up at Karak. This beautiful female was Jessica, the heiress to the Daylon family. The Daylon family was one of the three major trading clans in the Emalon empire, and perhaps the richest. ¡°Nothing Jess. I was just thinking about how amazing you are. It seems like you are one of the only people that love me for me, and not for my title.¡± Karak said, a smile blooming on his face. ¡°Of course stupid. When I saw you crying at your mother¡¯s funeral It was love at first sight.¡± Jessica said, rubbing her head against Karak¡¯s shoulder. Karak looked up into the darkening sky, his face a mask of emotion. ¡°Ha. I was the only one crying at her funeral.¡± Karak laughed, coldness coming into his eyes. Jessica wanted to say that¡¯s not true, but she couldn¡¯t. He truly was the only one crying at that funeral, tears streaming down his face as his mother was buried. ¡°It seems as if every noble in the world hated my mother but unjustly so. Just because she was a commoner..¡± Anger crept into Karak¡¯s voice, his feeble muscles clenching. Eventually they relaxed, his anger fading but not forgotten. ¡°And even if I wanted to take revenge I can¡¯t. I am far too weak to do so.¡± Karak still yearned for power. He still prayed to the Light One, trained against the sparrow and studied any book he could find. Still, he was weak. ¡°Brute strength is not everything my love. When you become the heir you will have an army backing you. Who would dare offend you?¡± Jessica said, stroking my back. ¡°No.. father has decided to make Aslan the next emperor.¡± ¡°WHAT!¡± Jessica shot out of Karak¡¯s arm so fast she nearly fell over. ¡°But you are the oldest and the legitimate heir!¡± She nearly shouted, causing a few guards to turn their way. ¡°Quiet! It isn¡¯t yet official. However my father loves my brother far more than he loves me. I overheard him talking about it to the captain of his guard.¡± Truthfully, Karak did not care about the throne. He already had a feeling this would happen yet with no way to stop father he decided to ignore it. After all, his love Jessica was the only reason he wasn¡¯t wallowing in pity anymore. What more did he need? ¡°Surely you must feel wronged!¡± She whispered fiercely, a dark fire in her eyes. ¡°The throne is of no concern to me my love. All that matters is you.¡± Karak said sweetly, a loving light in his eyes. ¡°Lady Jessica, it is time for you to go.¡± Her maid Sharon said, bowing slightly at the waist. ¡°Yes. Let¡¯s go.¡± Jessica said angrily, stomping on a patch of roses as she walked away. ¡°Wait! Jessica, why are you mad?¡± Karak shouted, not understanding her anger. She gave no reply but simply walked away, not even bothering to turn around. ¡°Until next time prince.¡± Sharon bowed, a look of pity in her eyes. ------------------- ¡°Did you do anything to anger her brother?¡± A golden haired youth laughed,a sword in his hands. This child was Aslan Heriet, the unofficial heir to the throne and the stepbrother of Karak. ¡°I did nothing but mention that you were the next heir.¡± Karak said honestly. Aslan paused in mid swing, looking at Karak. ¡°Is that all?¡± He asked. Karak nodded his head, slightly worried. Aslan busted out in laughter, a bright smile on his face. ¡°She is probably just angry you''re not getting angry! I mean we all see how much she cares for you. You two flirt constantly when you are together.¡± Karak could not refute this, knowing it to be true. Suddenly a knock was heard at the door and Karak tensed. Ever since his mother was murdered after an assassin killed her from the doorway, the sound of knocking makes him slightly scared. ¡°It is fine brother.¡± Aslan said, seeing his brother tense. In truth Aslan too felt a slight jolt of fear when someone knocked at the door. But he would not show weakness in front of his brother. No, he loved him too much. He promised himself that he would never let Karak go through another tragedy like that again. ¡°Who is it?¡± Aslan yelled. ¡°Your servant Hannah has a message for Lord Karak.¡± Karak looked at Aslan, wondering if he knew what it was about. He just shook his head and gestured for him to get the door. He walked over and opened the door, seeing a short brown haired girl holding a white envelope in her tiny hands. ¡°Thank you.¡± He said then turned and closed the door. He walked to his brothers bed, flopping down lazily. He recognized the seal of the Daylon family and quickly opened the letter, a smile on his face. He took out the letter and began to read. ¡°Dear Karak I apologize for my rude behavior. Recently I have been going through ¡°Girl Problems¡± and it has made me quite moody. I just wanted to let you know that I love you for you, regardless of whether or not you are the heir. I hope that we can meet up sometime tomorrow over a cup of tea. However it will have to be at my place as my father has grown quite grumpy that I have been constantly going away. I hope that I did not anger you when I left. Say hi to Aster for me. Love, Jessica.¡± Karak smiled at this, surprised that she remembered Ael. Ael was his pet bird, one which he found when it was dropped from the sky because of a broken wing when he was eight. It fell right into his cup of tea, scaring the hell out of his brother. He laughed at the memory, remembering the face his brother made when he saw it. Him and Ael still don¡¯t get along, despite Karak¡¯s involvement. ¡°So I assume you two made up then?¡± Aslan laughed, dumping his training sword against the wall. ¡°You can say that.¡± Karak said, folding the letter into his pocket. He let out a loud yawn, drowsiness overcoming him. ¡°I¡¯m tired Aslan. I¡¯m sleeping here tonight.¡± Karak said and crawled under the covers. ¡°Where am I supposed to sleep!¡± Aslan yelled. ¡°You''re a mage. Make a bed outta air.¡± Karak said, not wanting to get up. ¡°Pssh you''re just too lazy to get up.¡± Aslan said, using his magic to dim the artificial lights. He jumped on the bed, purposely hitting Karak on the way down. ¡°Goodnight!¡± Aslan said cheerily. ¡°Stupid no good wanna be paladin¡¡± Karak mumbled. With that thought in mind he fell asleep, not knowing how tomorrow would change his life forever. --------------------- Life before the lord:Part 2 ¡°Are you ready yet, prince Karak?¡± A servant asked, a light smile on her face. She rather liked young master Karak, for he was kind and gentle to all servants. He thought of no one beneath him and more often than not one would catch him doing menial chores that could easily be done with a snap of his fingers. It made the servants feel closer towards him than other nobles. ¡°Just a minute Lily, I¡¯m taking Ael with me for tea.¡± Karak responded. Lily shivered at that, clearly remembering the day that the bird fell from the sky. She nearly had a stroke when it popped its little head out from the tea, eyes looking around in confusion. It had light wounds all across its body. Master Karak decided to get the thing healed by the healers, shouting for them frantically. Suddenly the door opened and out came master Karak, a long purple scaled snake coiled around his arm and resting on the opposite shoulder. Her heart began to flutter, seeing his handsome face with a smile on it. ¡°R-right this way master K-k-karak.¡± She stuttered, her face turning even redder. Lily turned around, not wanting her master to see her face. Karak just laughed and said ¡°Lead on.¡± ------------ ¡°Master Karak, I assume you know about the banquet we are having later today?¡± Lily said, opening the carriage door for her master. ¡°Banquet?¡± Karak asked, confused. He had heard no such word of a banquet. ¡°Why of course. Relationships with the Kingdom of Lyrnia have been going well. In honor of this your father decided to throw a banquet to make relations even better.¡± ¡°Hmm¡ I did not know this. However it should be of no matter. I will be back before then.¡± ¡°I bid you farewell, master.¡± Lily said while bowing. She watched as her master set off, a happy expression on his face. --------- Karak watched as the castle came into view, it¡¯s tall spires and giant guards giving off an intimidating feel. Unfortunately this had little effect on Karak. His father''s castle was far far scarier and had a much more menacing presence. After he stepped out of the carriage he acknowledged the guards with a single nod of his head. He had been here so much that this place was nearly like his second home. Karak smiled as he passed nearby servants, some having a shocked look as he walked through the castle. ¡°Makes sense¡ some of these servants have never seen me before.¡± Karak thought. He thought about going to pay his respects to Jessica¡¯s father but decided against it. ¡°Oh well, time for tea!¡± Karak thought cheerily as he stepped inside Jessica¡¯s room. ------------------- *Thwack* Aslan smiled as he struck the winning blow against James, the third strongest in the Holy School of Knights. ¡°Winner, Aslan!¡± The students cheered as he walked back to the benches on the colliseum, his legs tired from exhaustion. ¡°Congrats Aslan. Now that you¡¯ve won this match, if Zion wins his match then you two will finally go against each other.¡± A brown haired freckle faced kid said, his eyes filled with admiration. ¡°That¡¯s right Nate. I¡¯m eager to face Zion. Even when he uses a two handed sword hs swordsmanship skills are top notched among us kids.¡± Aslan spoke, an eager light coming into his eyes. Contrary to popular belief Aslan is not actually ranked first in the school rankings, despite his superior abilities. His ¡°Rival¡± Zion has faced more opponents than him and therefore earned more points. This battle royal was just the thing Aslan needed to take first place. The battle royal was designed to give any failing student a chance to hone his skills and watch others fight. All students were set into pre-determined groups of five. After taking an aptitude test the teachers would locate which student should go with which group. More often than not the worst ranked student would be placed with best ranked, in order to even out the groups. The four people in Aslan¡¯s group were Jenny-Rank 45, Tom-Rank 183, Nate-Rank 175, and Lena-Rank 23. There are two hundred rankings in the school, each student signifying a number. When new students come in more rankings are added. Suddenly the students began to cheer, some boo¡¯s being heard among the noise. Aslan turned around, the gladiator style coliseum giving him a quick view of the fight. Zion had disarmed his opponent, Lena, and was hammering down precise blows against her. She was barely managing to hold up due to her shield but anyone with an experienced eye could tell that it wouldn¡¯t last for long. ¡°Holy repel!¡± Lena shouted desperately. Her shield was encased in a bright light and she shoved it forward, catching Zion off guard. He was blasted off his feet, a small trail of smoke coming out of his chest. ¡°Cheap shot..¡± Zion muttered. ¡°Here I come.¡± He shouted. His feet began to glow white and he leapt from the ground at incredible speeds, appearing in front of Lena in an instant. He cleaved his two handed sword downwards, going for a fatal blow. Despite the students using real weapons there were A-ranked healers among our medical team so any injury short of death was healable. Lena rolled to the side, barely missing the long claymore. She was back up and fighting in an instant. ¡°Holy repel!¡± She shouted, except this time it was much weaker. It knocked Zion off balance and she capitalized on this. She knocked his foot out from under him and brought her sword down simultaneously, hoping to score first blood. The students were wearing hard leather armor so first blood was accessible. Zion just barely managed to bring his sword up in time to stop from being hit, though when he hit the ground it was evident the air was knocked out of his lungs. He rolled to the side, just evading the foot that stomped down. He didn¡¯t fully stand up before he was knocked back again. This time, however, he jumped backwards into a roll and stood up unscathed. The two traded furious blows after that, each one having full intent to maim. Suddenly Zion jumped backwards and raised his weapon into the air. ¡°Holy weapon!¡± He shouted. Immediately his weapon turned a bright light, though some area¡¯s of the sword weren¡¯t completely covered. ¡°Amazing!¡± Aslan thought. He¡¯s the same age as me yet he can nearly instacast his weapon enchant. It was evident to anyone watching that Zion¡¯s sword blows went much faster than before and when the blows connected it was all Lena could do to now throw away her shield, her shield arm numb. Suddenly Zion spun and gave a wicked smash with the flat end of the blade against Lena¡¯s side, causing her to cry out in pain. Blood escaped from her mouth as she fell to the ground, ribs broken. To her credit she did manage to hold onto her weapons even as she fell. ¡°Match over! Winner, Zion!¡± The students went ballistic, chanting Zion¡¯s name over a great fight. Surprisingly even Lena¡¯s name was heard, though it was much quieter than Zion¡¯s. Aslan watched as Zion walked towards the other side of the colosseum, laughing and embracing his group of friends. ¡°Good try Lena.¡± Aslan said, helping her up from the ground. ¡°Gaaah!!!! He¡¯s too good!!¡± She yelled, causing the surrounding students to laugh. The day went by swiftly, some rather high ranked fights here and there. A couple were over in a matter of minutes, but most managed to have a good 10-15 minute fight. Finally, after waiting and waiting came the fight everyone was hoping for. ¡°Aslan vs Zion.¡± The crowd went crazy as these two walked down towards the dusty ground, large splatters of blood from where a kid had his arm cut off. The healers fixed him up new immediately, but not before his blood dripped everywhere. ¡°Zion, I¡¯m looking forward to having a good match with you.¡± Aslan said, a smile on his face. To his shock Zion spit on the ground before him and turned around getting into a battle ready stance. To spit on the ground before a warrior is extreme disrespect, indicating that one is beneath you. ¡°What did I ever do to receive that?¡± Aslan though as he got into his battle stance. ¡°Match, Begin!¡± Immediately Aslan activated ¡°Holy weapon¡±, and though it was a notably longer than Zion¡¯s his sword and shield were completely covered in light, unlike Zion¡¯s from last time. This time, however, Zion¡¯s weapon was completely white, and shone even brighter than Aslans. Immediately Aslan rushed forward, hoping to catch him off guard. ¡°Holy repel!¡± Aslan shouted, intending to knock him off guard. To his surprise Zion swung his sword against Aslans shield, knocking him off balance. Aslan retched his shield up just in time to stop Zion¡¯s blade from cleaving him in two. ¡°This amount of strength is frightening!¡± Aslan thought. He rolled away from Zion. He stood up and launched a series of well aimed strikes meant to throw Zion off balance. Surprisingly Zion managed to block them all and even launched a counterattack, though it was weak and lacking strength. Aslan put some distance between him and Zion and began to gather his mana at his hands. Zion, noticing this rushed him but before he could reach him Aslan shouted ¡°Lance of Light!¡± Instantly a bright light began to weave itself in the shape of a spear. It shot from Aslan¡¯s hand and smacked Zion straight in the chest, sending him flying. ¡°That was¡ my strongest...spell.¡± Aslan huffed, the loss of mana taking a large toll on him. After seven seconds Zion still did not move so the ref called ¡°Match Ov--!¡± Suddenly Zion raised his hand in the air, signifying he will continue. Slowly but surely he rose, standing up on unsteady knees. ¡°Amazing!¡± Aslan thought. ¡°Holy enchantment!¡± Zion and Aslan shouted, each reapplying the buff. With frightening speed they leapt towards each other, showering each other with blows. Aslan thrusted his sword at Zion¡¯s chest only for it to be knocked out of his hands by a well timed disarm move. ¡°That¡¯s no good!¡± Aslan shouted while backing up. Zion did not let him gain distance and kept on him, slashing and smashing Aslan in hopes of getting first blood. The crowd was left entranced by this glorious display, excited at how skilled these two warriors were. ¡°Holy rep-!¡± Aslan could not finish his sentence as Zion stopped striking and ran straight towards him, smashing the hilt of his blade in Aslans gut. ¡°Gaaah!¡± Aslan felt a metallic taste enter his mouth and realized that he was about to throw up blood. Most likely he had broken some ribs. With a will far excedding that of a child his age he swallowed it, feeling more than a little pain as it went down his throat. ¡°HOLY REPEL!¡± Aslan screamed, throwing all of his mana into a shield blow. He just barely managed to clip Zion on the chin when he tried to turn, comically spinning him at a fast speed. Aslan smashed into the ground, feeling intense pain in his shoulder. ¡°Is it broken.. no, it¡¯s only dislocated.¡± He thought as he slowly tried to stand. However, Zion was down on the ground and not moving. ¡°Match over, Winner Aslan!¡± The last thing he saw was the healers running towards him and Zion before he blacked out. --------------- ¡°That was a fun day wasn¡¯t it Aster?¡± Karak said as he rubbed under the chin of his pet snake. He had a great time at tea and was pleasantly surprised when he found that Jessica would be coming to the banquet his father was hosting. Something about potential marketing partners and the like. ¡°Annnnd were home.¡± Karak opened the carriage door, quickly thanking the driver and walking to his bedroom. ¡°Hello master, did you have a good trip?¡± Lily said, standing by his door. ¡°Hello Lily. You''re looking cute today. And yes, I had a great time.¡± Karak said, teasing her. He laughed when her face turned bright red. He knew that Lily had a crush on him, despite being a year older than him. Although they both knew he share the same feelings, he still teased her from time to time. ¡°P-p-please master, stop with the jokes.¡± She said, twirling a lock of hair. Karak smiled at this and opened his door, feeling a refreshing breeze from his balcony. ¡°How long until the banquet?¡± Karak asked, stripping his clothes. ¡°T-t-theres about six more hours until the banquet, master Karak.¡± Lily said, hiding her face between her hands. Although she had seen Prince Karak naked multiple times her cheeks still blushed when she saw ¡°It¡±. ¡°I see¡ I will sleep until then. I have already taken a shower and for some reason I am feeling quite tired. Wake me at the required time.¡± Karak told her, putting Aster in his cage then sliding under his bed covers. ¡°As you wish, my lord.¡± Lily said and bowed. ------------- ¡°Where...am I?¡± Karak was swimming in darkness. Everywhere he looked he saw nothing but black, as if he was dropped in a bucket of black paint. ¡°...ar....y¡.ce¡± ¡°Hm?¡± He could faintly sense that something was calling to him. It was beneath him, and the sense was growing stronger. Curious, he swam downwards, the darkness making it hard to move. ¡°C¡.ou¡.ear¡.y¡.vo..e?¡± ¡°C ou ear y voe? What does... ¡° Karak mumbled under his breath, trying to decipher the words. ¡°Can you hear my voice, child?¡± A raspy voice asked. ¡°What was that?¡± Karak shouted. He still could not hear anything yet the voice instilled so much fear in him that he lost control of his body. ¡°I.. am Envakir.¡± The voice whispered, its voice sounding like a thousand needles stabbed into my ear. ¡°Gah.ha...ha¡ am.. am I supposed to know who that is? And would you do something with that voice!¡± Karak shouted, unable to take the pain. Stolen from its original source, this story is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings. ¡°Hmph. Pathetic. To think you are the best candidate¡¡± The voice no longer sounded like hell incarnate, instead an old man¡¯s voice came out. ¡°Best candidate for what?¡± Karak asked, rubbing his ear. ¡°Be honored mortal. You are the candidate to become the heir of The Dark One and use his powers to ravage this world.¡± The voice said mightily. Dread filled Karak as these words poured out. The Dark One? The god that fought with The Light One and nearly enslaved mankind? Impossible! Karak couldn¡¯t stop shaking as he thought about what he learned in history class. Four thousand years ago two gods engaged in a brutal slaughter across the earth. The Light One, a being who controlled the power of light fought for humanity and stood for justice. The Dark One, However, controlled the power of darkness and stood for all that was evil. He enslaved humanity using Orcs, trolls and beastmen to gain the upper hand. Confident in his victory The Dark One grew lax and made a fatal mistake. What that mistake was, history does not say. All we know is that somehow The Light One convinced the beastmen to fight for what was right and with their combined forces they managed to free humanity and kill The Dark One. Or so we thought. Deciding to play it cool despite his shivering body Karak asked ¡°How do I know you''re from The Dark One and I¡¯m not just dreaming?¡± At this the voice just laughed. An old, ancient laugh that chilled Karak¡¯s bones. Suddenly his head was filled with thousands of Images. What he saw horrified him. Humanity slaughtering each other in brutal wars. Women being raped in their own homes and no one helping them. One particularly gory scene showed a beastman ripping open the stomach of a human woman and eating her intestines in front of her kids. ¡°STOP!STOP!STOP!¡± Karak screamed, tears coming unbidden from his face. Still the images continued, each one showing a gorier scene than the last. When the images finally stopped Karak couldn¡¯t even move. He felt so exhausted by the knowledge in his brain that his muscles refused to cooperate. He now had no doubts that voice was working with The Dark One. Only a creature such as that enjoy such slaughter. ¡°Before you become biased against the dark lord, take a look at these.¡± The voice said. Karak was helpless as the images began to pour into his brain. He recognized them at once. ¡°The age of prosperity, 2000 years ago,¡± Karak whispered. Karak had heard about how great this time was. Agriculture, farming and technology went up tenfold in that year. The world was actually at peace for a small time. Or so he was told. These images showed enslaved beastmen working until death. Their corpses thrown in the mud like they were dirty animals and used to feed the other beastmen. Child beastmen having their tails and ears cut off for noble entertainment. Beastwomen selling themselves to feed their children. Beastmen being experimented on by nobles for their own sick pleasure. For the first time in his life, Karak felt rage. Rage at the fact that humanity could do such a thing and still live on. Rage at how this was never mentioned in history. Rage at what we did to a single race! ¡°You see child? This is what humanity has done. This is what The Dark One was fighting against. Even before the war humanity enslaved elves, beastmen and even dwarves to do their bidding. Humanity is a plague on the earth and my master wishes to rid the world of those dirty pests.¡± The voice said, hating lacing his words. Karak did not know what to say. He was embarrassed to say that after seeing these images, he too thought humanity was disgusting. ¡°I must go now child. I kept you here too long. Begone.¡± And just like that Karak awoke, blood and sweat pouring down his body. ¡°What the hell?¡± He shouted, standing up off the bed. Blood was pouring out of his ears, eyes and mouth yet oddly enough he felt no pain. He quickly wiped his body, making a mental note to clean his own sheets. He didn¡¯t need anyone prying into this. Karak just finished getting dressed before Lily busted into the room, an odd expression on her face. ¡°My lord! You are up!¡± She shouted, a happy expression on her face. ¡°How long was I out?¡± Karak asked, folding his blankets into a ball. ¡°Well¡ about seven hours. I apologize my lord but no matter what I did you would not awake. I asked Jessica¡¯s head maid Sharon to come and take a look at you since she was the nearest healer but she simply said you were over exhausted.¡± Lily said while bowing repeatedly. ¡°Jessica!¡± Karak yelled in his mind. He hoped she wasn¡¯t mad at him for staying asleep. He grabbed Aster out of his cage, smiling as it wound itself around his neck. It licked his neck a couple of times, causing him to laugh. ¡°Haha thanks buddy.¡± Karak said as he walked out the door. ¡°It¡¯s fine Lily. I was quite tired and I ended up having an¡ interesting dream.¡± Karak said, remembering the thousands of images that flew into his brain. He began to look for Jessica, forced to converse with nobles along the way. Despite being hated by most nobles they still flocked in droves when he appeared, each fluffing their tail feathers highest to outdo one another. Everytime he was greeted by a noble he politely replied he had something to due, then asked if they had seen Jessica. After ten minutes of searching a servant said that he saw Aslan and Jessica go out to the garden a few minutes ago. ¡°Wonder why they went out there?¡± Karak thought, going outside towards the garden. He took the long route, trying to remain inconspicuous to the nobles. ¡°Hello there Prince Karak. I see that you have awoken.¡± Karak turned to see Sharon, Jessica¡¯s head made walking towards him. ¡°Well hello there Sharon. Yes, I had a rather interesting dream that I chose to not wake up from.¡± Karak said with a slight smile. ¡°I¡¯m glad you are well rested. I are you perhaps looking for Lady Jessica?¡± Sharon asked, a drop of sweat dripping down her face. ¡°Why yes I am. Thankfully I already know were to look>¡± Karak said, walking past Sharon to get through the gardens. ¡°Then you are headed back to the banquet correct?¡± Sharon said. ¡°No¡ I am headed to the garden. My brother and Jessica are there together.¡± Sharon¡¯s eyes widened at this. She quickly regained herself though and said ¡°Oh yes! They were at the garden. However they went back into the ball a bit ago. To search for you, of course.¡± ¡°I see¡ well, I will take a stroll through the garden anyways. The sky looks beautiful in the evening, and I have a great view of it in the flower garden.¡± Karak told her. Her face visibly paled when he said this. ¡°Something wrong?¡± He asked, curious as to why she went pale. ¡°No-nothing my lord. It¡¯s just that Lady Jessica was anxious to see you.¡± She said, wiping her brow. ¡°She was anxious to see me even though I saw her a little while ago¡?¡± Karak was suspicious as to why Sharon was acting like this. ¡°I guess so my lord. Ha-haha¡. Well, if you will excuse me.¡± Sharon said, bowing and began to leave. ¡°Wait.¡± Karak commanded more than said. She froze on the spot, not moving. ¡°Walk with me.¡± He said, curious as to why Sharon was acting guilty. ¡°I apologize my lord but I am extre-¡± ¡°I don¡¯t care, I asked you to walk with me. That is, unless you have something more important than me?¡± ¡°Of course not my lord!¡± Sharon nearly yelled, slightly shocking Karak. ¡°Then, let¡¯s walk.¡± ------------- ¡°You will be a fine pawn.¡± ¡°Gaaah!¡± Aslan flew awake , nearly jumping out of his bed. ¡°What the hell was that?¡± Aslan was in the middle of an dream when suddenly he was engulfed in darkness and a voice told him he would be a pawn. ¡°That was¡ odd.¡± He thought as he checked his surroundings. He was inside the schools infirmary and his stomach was tightly wrapped by bandages. ¡°Congratz on your win Aslan.¡± Nate said, appearing from nowhere. ¡°Ah! Stop doing that Nate, you scare the light out of me. And thanks, it was a close match.¡± Indeed, the match had been far too close for comfort. At least he won though. ¡°Haha. I can¡¯t help that I¡¯m good at sneaking around. Here, drink this. You''re probably thirsty.¡± Nate said, handing Aslan a cup. ¡°What is this?¡± Aslan asked suspiciously. Instead of water like he was expecting there was a greenish blue liquid inside. It smelled surprisingly good, to be honest. ¡°It¡¯s one of my mothers medicinal blends. It¡¯ll make you feel right as rain!¡± Nate laughed, prompting me to drink it. Aslan was surprised at the taste. It tasted sweet yet cool, providing a nice sensation as it slid down his throat. ¡°It was a good match¡ and um, I know I shouldn¡¯t pry but aren¡¯t your parent¡¯s throwing a banquet for the southern province?¡± ¡°Oh yeah. I forgot about that¡¡± ¡°Well¡ it kinda started twenty minutes ago.¡± Nate said, a slight smile on his face. ¡°Gaah! Holy light I hope my father isn¡¯t mad!¡± Aslan said, putting on his training gear. ¡°Just gonna have to change when I get there.¡± Aslan thought, running out of the infirmary. ¡°I already got a carriage for you!¡± Nate yelled, causing Aslan to smile. Despite their social class differences Nate was probably his best friend in this school, next to Lena. -------------- Aslan hurriedly pulled on his clothes, not bothering to get his maids to do it. He went to go pull on his pants but a sudden wave of intense arousal caused him to stop. ¡°What¡ what¡¯s going on?¡± He thought as he struggled to adjust his erection. ¡°Why am I randomly aroused?¡± ¡°Prince Aslan, Lady Jessica would like to meet you at the flower gardens.¡± His maid Lana said, standing outside the door. Aslan always had his maids leave the room when he dressed. Lily thought it was quite cute how shy he was. ¡°Not good¡ Um yeah. I will meet her in a minute!¡± Aslan yelled, struggling to adjust his pants. Suddenly another intense wave of arousal ran through him, nearly dropping him to his knees. ¡°What...is...going...on!¡± He shakily walked towards the door, every step sending intense pleasure through him. Aslan ripped open the door, surprising the maids standing by. ¡°Prince Aslan are you alright!¡± Lana yelled, a shocked expression on her face. Her prince had an expression that should not be on an 11 year old. A look of pure lust. ¡°I¡¯m fine, thank you for your concern. Please lead me to Lady Jessica.¡± ¡°Are you sure you are alright prince? If you wish I can decline¡¡± ¡°No no, thank you though, I just have a slight cold.¡± Aslan said, making up a pitiful lie on the spot. Anyone with half a brain could tell it was more than a little cold. ¡°..As you wish.¡± Lana led him towards a corner of the banquet, skillfully avoiding any noble that wished to talk to him. When Aslan saw her, he had to say she looked absolutely stunning. She had a bright red dress on that accentuated her curves, further increased by her fiery hair and blue eyes. Her lips were plump and full, giving her an older woman look. All in all, she looked hot. ¡°Hello there Prince Aslan.¡± She said, giving a slight bow. Aslan had to use all his willpower to not stare down her shirt. ¡°What in the holy heavens is wrong with me.¡± Aslan screamed inside his head, biting his tongue to control himself. ¡°H-hello to you too, Lady Jessica. Have you seen my brother?¡± Aslan was trying hard not to stare at her face. ¡°Yes I have. He is sound asleep in his room. He has a slight cold and wouldn¡¯t wake up when we tried to get him up.¡± Jessica said. ¡°He also has a cold? How weird.¡± Aslan thought. ¡°Would you like to visit the flower gardens with me Prince Aslan? They look beautiful in the mid-day light.¡± Jessica suddenly said, a light smile on her face. ¡°Sure, why not.¡±Aslan said, thinking some fresh air would calm him down. ¡°Lets go!¡± Jessica said, grabbing him by the hand and leading him towards the gardens. Aslan, feeling awkward asked ¡°How are things with you and my brother going?¡± ¡°I heard you defeated Zion at the Paladin academy?¡± Jessica blurted, eager to change the topic. Aslan, a bit taken back said ¡°Y-Yeah. You should have seen him! He was instacasting basic spells like they were nothing!¡± Aslan truly was shocked at how skilled Zion was at fighting. ¡°But¡ how did you know that?¡± ¡°Oh, I have some eyes and ears in the paladin school.¡± Jessica said mysteriously. Before he could ask who they arrived at the garden. Aslan¡¯s breath caught in his throat. The sky was bright orange, perfectly reflecting off the bright flowers that littered the ground in patterns. If he wasn¡¯t so aroused Aslan would think he was in a dream. ¡°Beautiful.¡± Jessica muttered. Aslan looked towards Jessica and suddenly another immensely powerful wave of lust hit him. It knocked him off his knees and he fell on top of Jessica, knocking her to the ground. ¡°I¡¯m sorry Jessica! I lost my ba--!¡± He couldn¡¯t finish his sentence as Jessica drew him in for an intense kiss. He moaned in her mouth as he felt her wet tongue brush his teeth, then dive into his own mouth. When they finally broke the kiss Aslan said ¡°Jessica¡ no. We-we can¡¯t do this. Yo-!¡± His sentence was cut short as he felt her cold hand grip his genitals. ---------- Life before the lord:Part 3 Just letting you know, I use the word ¡°Genitals.¡± For now since they are so young. When they age in the future I won¡¯t. Be warned. Now, Enjoy! --------------- Karak stood transfixed in shock as he watched the love of his life lower herself down onto his brothers genitals, a look of pure ecstasy on her face. ¡®W..w.what?¡± Karak tried to say, but no words would come out. ¡°Do you see now?¡± A voice said in the back of his mind. The voice sounded familiar, as if he¡¯d heard it before. ¡°This is what it means to be a human. To cheat, to deceive, to lie, to hate, to betray, to destroy. Why should this race be allowed to live? All it is is a plague to this earth.¡± The voice said with cold hearted anger, shocking Karak. Karak desperately tried to think of a reason why the human race should be allowed to live. He wanted to prove to the voice that not all humans are bad. But the more he thought, the uglier they got. All throughout his life he was looked down on as a whoreson. Everyone, his father included, looked down on him and his mother due to his non-existant magical power. No one respected him, gave him any respect. As he began to think about how this world has mistreated him, his pent up rage began to grow. ¡°How dare they..¡± Karak thought. ¡°I am smarter than them all..¡± Karak thought. ¡°Yes you are. Yet they treat you like a bug. No, they treat you like a WHORE. The only reason ANYONE looked at you is because you''re the emperors son. None of them saw the real you. Even your ¡°Girlfriend¡± didn¡¯t see the real you. Wasn¡¯t she angry because you weren¡¯t getting the crown?¡± The voice said, goading him into anger. At any other time Karak would fight back for her, saying that she was getting angry for him. But now¡ he wasn¡¯t so sure. He glanced down at Sharon, falling deeper into despair as she wouldn¡¯t meet his eyes. ¡°She knew¡¡± He thought. She knew and she didn¡¯t tell him. That¡¯s why she was trying to get him away from there. Indescribable anger began to leak from Karak¡¯s very being. Cheated, betrayed, hated, used. More and more hate began to pile up inside as he stared at his girlfriend. ¡°You are weak. That is why they take advantage of you.¡± The voice began, gathering up its power. Karak still could not move. Only his eyes were able to. But his eyes could not mask the sound of sex. ¡°SO WHAT IF I¡¯M WEAK? YOU THINK I DON¡¯T ALREADY KNOW THAT! YOU THINK I WANTED TO BE BORN LIKE THIS. EVERYDAY I PRAY AND TRAIN TO BECOME STRONGER YET MY WISHES GO UNANSWERED. IF¡ if there was a power that would make me strong, I would gladly take it. For that, I would do anything!¡± Karak screamed inside his head, finding a small way to vent his anger. ¡°Anything?¡± The voice asked. Karak hesitated at this. He knew full well that when someone made a deal with the word ¡°Anything¡± as the chip, bad things would happen. But Karak¡¯s mind, full of anger and sadness at Jessica¡¯s betrayal, had only one answer. ¡°Yes.¡± Right when the words left his mouth darkness covered his eyes and he found he could move again, ¡°So¡ we finally meet in person.¡± Karak spun around, the voice behind him shocking him. Sitting on a chair made made of darkness was a handsome older man with shockingly fierce eyes. A bright ray of light was above him, shining down. The man had the air of a noble around him, giving him a kingly look. ¡°Who are you?¡± Karak asked angrily, the sight of his lover and his brother having sex still ingrained in his eyes ¡°Who I am does not matter. What does matter is the fact that you will do anything for power. I am here to give you that power, in return for a bargain.¡± ¡°Give me power? Could he be that voice in my head?¡± Karak thought as he looked around. ¡°How can you give me power? No, I should ask WHY would you give me power. I have done nothing for you, nor do I plan to do so.¡± ¡°I just told you. If you want power, do something for me. It¡¯s a simple as that.¡± ¡°What do I have to do?¡± Karak asked. ¡°Simple really. Annihilate the human race.¡± It seemed time froze as those words left his mouth. The way he said it so casually actually gave Karak a start, slightly clearing the anger away. ¡°So you are the voice¡ who are you?¡± Karak could clearly remember the anger in the voice as it told him how disgusting the human race was. ¡°Once again, it do-¡± Before he could finish Karak interrupted him. ¡°Maybe to you it doesn¡¯t matter, but to me it does. You want a deal, you show respect. Courtesy, if you have ever heard of it.¡± Karak said with a smile. It felt surprisingly good to take command. Most of the time Karak was silent and withdrawn. The man was unfazed by Karak¡¯s attitude, instead giving a small smile. ¡°I suppose that is true. I am nothing, yet I am everything. I am the one you hate, yet shall soon love. I am destruction, carnage, murder. I am¡ The Dark One.¡± At that moment, every fiber of Karak¡¯s being told him to run. Run as far and as fast as he could, never to look back. Yet strangely he did not feel afraid, nor threaten. Almost as if he himself knew the answer before it was said. ¡°I see¡ and you are the one that will give me power?¡± ¡°Yes and no. I will give you the means to the power. How you achieve this power will be based on yourself.¡± ¡°And how will you do this?¡± ¡°Accept my contract and find out.¡± The Dark One said with a smile. Even through his rage Karak was hesitant. He knew this would be a life altering decision. The Dark One, however, did not wish to wait. ¡°While you ponder your thoughts I think I will watch some entertainment.¡± He snapped his fingers and in front of him was the same scene Karak saw moments ago. HIs lover and his brother fucking. Anger flooded through Karak again, causing his lip to curl into a snarl. ¡°YOU FUCKING COCK!¡± Karak began to walk towards The Dark One but once again he was unable to move his body, forced to watch his brother and his lover. ¡°Now then. Let¡¯s add some sound, shall we?¡± With another snap of his finger sound flooded the cold darkness, brining pain to Karak¡¯s heart. ¡°Ah, Ah, Ah, Ah YEEAH! Aslan! ASLAN ASLAN ASLAN!¡± Jessica moaned, a look of pure ecstasy upon her face. Karak¡¯s heart began to crack hearing this, the sound of his lover in pure bliss was a sound he had never heard before. ¡°Oh god Jessica. I can¡¯t control myself!¡± Aslan yelled, a drugged smile on his face. *Crack* His heart began to crack even more, like an ice sculpture gaining in power (AN:Trying to say Ice sculpture cracks slowly in dramatic effect.) ¡°Jessica I¡¯m about to..!¡± ¡°Oh god. Not that Aslan. Not that!¡± Tears began to stream out of Karak¡¯s eyes, the pain and betrayal too much. ¡°Do it!! Cum inside me! I want your baby!!¡± She moaned, her hips gaining in speed as she thrust herself down on him. *Crack* ¡°JESSICA!¡± If you stumble upon this tale on Amazon, it''s taken without the author''s consent. Report it.¡°ASLAN!¡± They both screamed out in euphoric pleasure, emotions overwhelming them. Both were red faced and panting harshly, a look of pure bliss on their face. ¡°Aslan I¡¡± ¡°Oh gods. Don¡¯t say it! Please, for the love of everything don¡¯t say it!¡± Karak screamed in his mind. ¡°STOP! TURN IT OFF!¡± Karak screamed at The Dark One, his face a mess of snot and tears. ¡°Oh no. This is the best part. This is humanity¡¯s ugliest emotion up front.¡± ¡°I love you!¡± *Crack!*Break*Shatter!* At the exact moment Jessica said this, Karak let out a soul wrenching scream, pouring all of his emotions into it. He fell to his knees, his body finally able to move. He opened his mouth and retched up everything in his stomach. Nothing was held back as snot, tears and puke came pouring out, his body a wreck of emotions. Surprisingly he felt a warm hand on his back, stroking it like one would a child. He gave a hate filled glare towards The Dark One who was showing a surprising look of sympathy on his face. ¡°Do you see know child? This is the true nature of humanity. They are never satisfied with what they have and always want more. Those creatures are nothing more than parasite¡¯s to this world. Wit-¡± ¡°I¡¯ll do it.¡± Untamed rage was filling Karak¡¯s whole being. ¡°What was that?¡± The Dark One asked, a delighted expression on his face. ¡°I SAID I¡¯LL FUCKING DO IT. I WILL TAKE YOUR DAMN POWER AND SLAUGHTER EVERY GOD DAMNED HUMAN I SEE!!!¡± Karak howled, a savage look on his face. Suddenly a small knife appeared in his hand, weird and undecipherable drawings on the blade. ¡°Slice your hand then take mine to complete the contract.¡± As Karak did so he noticed that The Dark One¡¯s wrist was also cut, but instead of red blood black blood with green streaks was flowing out. As Karak took his hand, he gave one last look at his brother and his lover, knowing that what he was about to do will make him their enemies. ¡°I, Karak Rayton von Emalon accept the contract with the being known as The Dark One.¡± The Dark One slightly raised his eyes at this but said nothing. ¡°Contract complete.¡± Suddenly Karak felt unimaginable pain as The Dark One¡¯s black blood began to flow into his own body. His left arm burst open like a dam and his bright red blood began to flow out, steadily being replaced by The Dark Ones blood. He watched in morbid fascination as his arm began to stitch itself together, and exotic yet intense feeling. When the blood finally stopped entering his body he was whisked out of the darkness and back into the real world. ¡°Ha...hahaha¡..hahaha...AHAHAHAHAAHAHA!!¡± Karak laughed maniacally as the blood began to change his internal structure, eliciting agonizing pain yet immense pleasure. Aslan and Jessica whipped their heads to the sound of the noise, their lust lost at the thought of being discovered. They wore shocked faces as they saw Karak, the flesh underneath his skin moving like a worm. He wore an elated expression on his face, like one who had just been granted one wish. Aslan felt terrible as he realized what he had just done. ¡°Karak I¡ I.. don¡¯t know what overcame me. I I--.¡± No sooner than he tried to apologize a figure came out of the bushes, wearing a sinister smile. ¡°Nate!? What are you doing here?¡± Aslan shouted. ¡°¡®I am here for my new lord.¡± Nate said, walking towards Karak. ¡°Oh how I feel the power!¡± Karak shouted to the sky. As if just noticing Nate he asked ¡°Are you here to take me away? To finish the second part of the contract?¡± ¡°Indeed I am, my lord. Shall we leave now? The holy council is frantic since The Dark One¡¯s seal was broken.¡± ¡°Yes we shall¡ however¡ give me your gun.¡± Quizzically Nate grabbed a small, six shot revolver strapped to the side of his waist and handed it to Karak. Karak then walked towards his brother and Jessica, a frightened expression on their faces. ¡°Brother wait! What is this about The Dark One? SInce when have you and Nate known each other?¡± ¡°Karak I¡¯m so sorry! H-H-He raped me I swear! I was walking and he suddenly tackled me to the ground! I tried to scream but he!!¡± Tears and snot were running like waterfalls down Jessica¡¯s face. Karak walked closer towards her naked body and, shocking everyone, gave her a big hug. ¡°Jessica. You have lied to me yet again.¡± He said, stroking her hair. ¡°NO NO NO!! I SWEAR IT WASN¡¯T MY FAULT!! HE RAPED ME!!¡± She screamed. ¡°Is that why you let him cum in you? Is that why you said you love him?¡± Karak cried, a pained expression on his face. Jessica was silent, shocked that he had heard that. She had no words to say. ¡°But Jessica¡ it is not your fault!¡± Instantly she regained a smile on her face. ¡°S-S-so you believe me!?¡± ¡°Of course! Humanity is a disgusting plague on this earth. It is not your fault you were born this way. But fear not, for I will clean this world! And you, my love, will be the first.¡± Without warning Karak put the magic pistol to her forehead and shot, a water bullet completely destroying her head. Silence descended upon the area as everyone realized what Karak had just done He had declared a war on humanity itself! Nate walked towards him, an endless smile on his face. He kowtowed, tears falling from his face as he did so. ¡°Thank you my lord! I will fall you to hell and back! My only wish is that you destroy humanity! Rid this world of scum!¡± ¡°Of course, Nate. I would be glad to have a servant like you serve at my side. These creatures are lost and cannot control their emotions. So I will be the one to control them! I will be the one destroy them!¡± Karak shouted, an elated expression on his face. All the while Aslan sat there, not understanding what has happened with his brother. ¡°Brother¡ what are you going on about? Destroying humanity? The Dark Ones seal? Come now, that is just a joke!¡± ¡°I pity you brother. To be forced to live as a human¡¡± ¡°But you are a human too!¡± Aslan shouted back. ¡°No. I WAS a human. But after this night¡ I shall no longer be-- guh!¡± Black blood with green specks shout out of Karak¡¯s mouth, halting his sentece. ¡°It seems I must go now¡ I will enter into a body fit enough to take my power. I will no longer be human. No, I will be something much more powerful.¡± Nate then opened a large papyrus scroll he had procured from his bag. With a slash of his wrist blood fell onto the paper, soaking it in blood. Like the paper was alive it devoured the blood, feeding upon it. Out of nowhere a large black portal appeared over the scroll. ¡°This will not be the last time we see each other brother. If.. if you wish to stop me, then become strong. Otherwise¡ you will be nothing more than a stepping stone on my path to power.¡± Without another word Karak and Nate jumped into the portal, leaving Aslan with a muddled expression. ¡°Goodbye, Brother.¡± Ch 2: Wedding Crashers part 1 Just letting you know, I am changing Aster¡¯s name to Ael. Also, in order for him to be more usable he will no longer be a snake, but a bird. I fixed my other chapters to accommodate this since I didn¡¯t want him to be left out. Thank you! ----------- In the dreary blue sky¡¯s a fierce bird was seen flying through the air, a fierce expression on its face . If one were to look closer they would see a large purple snake writhing in its talons, desperate to get free. There was no escape however as the bird suddenly clenched its talons, crushing the snakes head. The bird landed on a small stone ledge by the castles balcony and began to tear into the snake, its sharp beak facing no resistance despite the snakes hard scales. The bird looked fierce, extremely so. Its feathers looked like hard swords, overlapping each other in beautiful ways. Its feathers were bright gold, with milky black eyes that seemed to see a thousand miles away. ¡°Hello there Ael. It¡¯s finally time. In ten minutes Lord Karak will be reborn anew.¡± Nate said, a bright smile on his face. Indeed, he has been waiting six years for Karak to awaken. Soon, his liege''s plans would begin. And he found out about the perfect opportunity to start it. Ael hopped on Nate¡¯s shoulder, a part of the snake''s body still in its mouth. ¡°Well then. Shall we go awaken your master?¡± After walking for a few minutes they arrived at a lavish bedroom. Inside were fluffy pillows, loosely drawn curtains covered the windows, making the moonlight shine through ominously. Nate walked towards a wall which held a three pronged candle above a brightly burning fireplace. He twisted the left candle 90 degrees, the middle one 180 and the right one 270. A moment later a series of clicks sounded throughout the room. Suddenly the fireplace tore itself apart, leaving a damp corridor that went deep into the underground. After walking for a good few minutes Nate finally arrived at a large circle room, depict with tens on tens of vulgar and atrocious paintings. Men raping children, children killing babies, women cheating on their husbands, men being enslaved. They littered the large room like flies, hung in unorganized locations. ¡°Screeech!¡± ¡°Yes Ael, it is time!¡± Nate said in a feverish voice. In the middle of a room was a large black tomb with dull glowing gold hieroglyphics on the side. Nate walked about 10 ten feet away from the coffin then raised his arms wide, a determined expression on his face. He began to chant. It started as small, silent whispers that eventually grew in volume, like the calm before the storm. While Nate was chanting the runes began to grow brighter, like they were gathering power. ¡°Guuh! This is taking so much mana!¡± Nate shouted in his head. Still, he continued. When the chanting was finally done Nate fell to the floor exhausted, all his mana gone. *Crack* Nate whipped his head towards the tomb. Crack? THe tomb wasn¡¯t supposed to crack. The Dark One told him that the tomb would fall to the ground and most likely explode. He warned him not to be too close lest he be hit. *Crack*Crack*Crack* Nate ran towards the exit, fearing he had failed his task. ¡°Such a simple task, failed!¡± He berated himself for his failure. ¡°The Dark Lord will ki--!!!¡± *Crack*Crack*Crack*Crack*Boom!!!* The black tomb violently exploded outwards, sending shards of debris flying everywhere. Nate quickly raised his mana shield, not wanting to be hit. A cloud of dust was obscuring Nate¡¯s vision but with a simple wind spell the dust cleared, revealing a tall body lying on the ground. ¡°Is that¡ Karak?!?¡± Nate¡¯s confusion could be understood. No longer was there an awkward and frail young boy who had trouble holding a spear. No, in his place was a creature from another dimension. It had the same face as Karak, but that is where the similarities ended. His body looked extremely well muscled, but not overly muscled. His skin had turned a cold gray color. His hair had grown down towards his shoulders and turned a silvery black. His ears were turned into elf ears but they were smaller. He had gained a couple of inches while in the tomb. But when the figure sat up, the scariest thing came into view. His eyes. Just by looking at them one could tell he had thrown away all traces of humanity. His iris¡¯s were glowing like molten gold. His pupils had shrunk until they were a vertical line. Nate instinctively recoiled, fear taking over his mind. But when he remembered who he was with he instantly stepped forward and kneeled. A case of content theft: this narrative is not rightfully on Amazon; if you spot it, report the violation. ¡°My lord! Your faithful serva-!¡± ¡°Nate?¡± Karak asked. Nate shivered at the voice. ¡°That is not the voice of a human¡ that is the voice of a demon!¡± Nate screamed in his head. ¡°Yes my lord. It is me¡± He said. *Screech!* Just then Ael launched himself to Karak, the sound of joy entering his beak. ¡°Hello, Ael. Its been awhile.¡± Karak said, scratching the top of Ael¡¯s head. The bird coo¡¯d in pleasure, then hopped onto Karak¡¯s shoulder. Karak then stood up and began to examine his body. ¡°This is power!¡± Karak shouted in his mind, overjoyed at what he had become. Quickly he sat down criss cross and began to meditate. ¡°Like the manual said¡ relax and feel the entity in your body. Play with it like you would clay.¡± Being a noble Karak had never ¡°Played¡± with clay but he understood the metaphor. He relaxed completely, letting his worries free. He looked inside himself¡ and he saw it. Sitting in the center of his chest, flowing throughout his body was the darkest colored mist he had ever seen. It was pitch black, like someone dipped a white object in a bucket of black paint. He moved it back and forth, trying to get a feel for it. ¡°Do you like your new power Karak?¡± A voice asked in his mind. Karak already knew who this voice was. ¡°Like it?¡ I love it.¡± He told The Dark One. He then began to do some simple stretches to get acquainted with his new bodies. ¡°Then go and grab my gifts. They are your room.¡± The Dark One said. ¡°Gifts?¡± Karak asked, heading towards the stairs. ¡°You.. have gotten far more powerful than I expected. That is to say, you absorbed¡°That¡± power much quicker than I thought possible. So¡ these weapons will help boost your growth even more.¡± The Dark One said with a deep laugh. ¡°Beautiful¡± Karak whispered. Lying atop his bed was a spear and a shield. These were no ordinary spear and shield, however, as both weapons were covered in human faces. ¡°The shield is covered in illusion magic. When one looks at it, their worst nightmares will come to life all around them.¡± Karak tenderly picked up the shield, liking the way it felt on his arm. ¡°The spear is enchanted to take the souls of enemies its slain. The more souls it takes, the stronger it becomes.¡± ¡°Weapons fit for a king¡± Karak said. The spear was pretty simple, despite the fact it was covered in faces. Not too long but not short it was straight with a sharpened tip at the end. ¡°Thank you, Dark One.¡± Karak said. He was truly happy about what had happened. ¡°It is too early to thank me now. You still remember your part of the deal?¡± ¡°Of course. To completely obliterate humanity.¡± Karak said in a dark voice. The flames of wrath were still evident in Karak. He could still hear the sound of his lover moaning on his brothers cock, passion evident in her voice. ¡°Good¡ and Nate has the perfect plan for it. You will no longer hear from me unless you absolutely need me. I will be resting to regain my power¡¡± And with that, The Dark One was silent. *Grrrmble* Karak looked down at his stomach, realising he hadn¡¯t eaten in six years. ¡°Nate!¡± He shouted, barking a command to his servant. The door to his room opened and there stood Nate, a slightly reproachful look on his face. ¡°Yes my lord?¡± ¡°I am hungry. What do we have to eat? Also, the Dark One said you had a plan for me?¡± ¡°We¡ have unfortunately not been able to procure much food. The surrounding area houses almost no animals and to the left of us lies the elves, but to the right of us lies the beastmen, as small as they are. And for my plan¡ I think it would be better to tell you at dinner. We can also discuss what has happened in the last six years.¡± Nate said, giving a bow. ¡°I see¡ that would be better. Leave me now.¡± Karak said with a wave of his hand. ¡°As you wish, my lord!¡± --------- Sorry for the late releases and small chapter here. Suddenly four of my teachers at school decided to give us "End of the year projects" So I have been working my ass off to finish them. Luckily i finished two of them early so expect another chapter at least 12 pages soon. Ael
