It felt like the world had turned into stone except him or that his words and sprite froze time itself for a few seconds. News stations from all over started talking about it, people who have seen the announcement posted the video on every social network even myspace. There was no one on earth who did not know about the video because of the ripple effect. With the new game announced everyone who has read the light novels ARK and LMS began training (mainly Koreans) at sword schools and martial arts schools because they know the effects of knowing how to fight in RL. Everyone living in wealthy countries were waiting for the day it will come out except for a selected few such as Silver who knew they could never be able to afford it until the incident after graduating high school. first time Ok this is my first time writing a fanfic because I hated writing in school. However, after reading some of fanfics in royalroadl I something in me wanted to try it once. Silver knew that the time ratio of the capsule is 1:4 (read last sentence of prologue) and this is exactly why he decided to buy the capsule in the first place. He wanted to change, not because he is shy and unsocial which he is but it is because of the accident that happened right after his high school graduation from grade 12. (This is where Silver begins his story of what happened after his graduation. The words will be in past tense as he is telling about the past) Silver was born happy and energetic like many boys at his age but that is what got him sick with a cold in the first place after playing in the snow. At that time he was still in China where the doctors and government doesn''t really do much about used needles. When he had the cold his mother brought him to the doctor to get a shot but what she didn''t know was that the needle had already been used before. After a few months they arrived in Canada which made them happy because they could be with their father and husband. Silver was half Chinese and the other half is half Japanese and half Canadian (the father). Silver really hated taking needles into his body such as the flu shot or blood test which took him until he was 16 to actually man up and take a blood test. That was when the news hit him and his family, he had some sort of illness that only less than 5% of the population in Canada have which can only be transferred by blood contact. It was predicted by his mother that it must have been from the injection 15 years ago back in China because the illness is present in many people in China. (the 5% thing is made up but it is true that China re-uses the needles. fact from many doctors verbally) The doctor told him that the illness isn''t matured yet so he can still live his life normally like other normal young adults. That is until his blood test on his 18th birthday: "This is really bad" said the doctor "How bad is it?" asked my mother "The illness has advanced to the next stage faster than anticipated" he answered "I am asking what does that mean?" demanded my father "The cure for this illness is new and very expensive but the success rate is close to 100% but since there are no perfect cures in this world I would have to say maybe 98%" said the doctor "how much?" asked mother "close to maybe 130 thousand dollars for that single pill" answered the doctor I almost fainted after I heard the amount. Let me tell you all that I am a very cheap person which means that if I can get a textbook online free of charge I would use it instead of buying the normal textbook even if there are a few missing pages in the online version. ''god this is going to make us soooooo poor'' I thought My mom then answered with determination and conviction. "We will buy it if it can cure our only son" my father also said yes I almost felt like crying if I wasn''t worried about how we would live after using up all of our money on one pill. The doctor told my parents that the pill would have has a unique side effect which would alter the 23ed chromosome pair (the xy chromosome what determines your gender xx= female xy=male). My parents were devastated to know that the cure might give their son a worst illness but the doctor told them that after testing on thousands of people in the last 10 years no genetic defects were found. Instead he told them that even people with genetic defects were also cured and that people were calling the pill "The all cure". My parents were happy from what the doctor said because like everyone they believed that doctors are always right (cough). (back to present time) "then how did this happen to me?" I thought "aggggg well bright side is I am still alive and kicking right?" Well back to the past story: My parents bought the pill and waited till the doctor receives the pill from the company. It was on June 15th when the pill arrived at the doctors office and called my mother to pick up the pill. The doctor told her to have me take it at night just before bed and to see him in the morning. A case of content theft: this narrative is not rightfully on Amazon; if you spot it, report the violation. I decided to go to bed at 9pm because the fast I take the pill the faster I would be cured. I took the pill and went straight to bed hoping that the pill would not turn me into a monster. On that night I suffered a lot, I was having nightmares about god knows what. Whenever I tried to wake up from the dream state something pops up beside me preventing me from escaping so I ran. I ran for who knows how long because somehow I did not feel tired one bit, I felt free and might have enjoyed it if it was not for the fact that something was chasing me. It was morning when I finally woke up from my crazy experience. I looked at the clock which just hit 9am meaning I had slept for 12 hours straight and was having the nightmare 12 hours straight. I was sweating all over and thought that if my mother came up and looked at the bed covers she might think I made an accident at the age of over 18. I sighed and picked myself up to go to the bathroom, but as I was walking to it my pants keep sliding off and after pulling it back up 3 times I gave up and just held it above my waist. I noticed some changes in my body while I held my pants up, first I seem taller because my head brushed the charm (the charm that has something inside a bag closed by string seen in some anime to bring good luck or something) that was swinging from the top of the door. Second my hair grew to my neck, third my chest felt heavier than normal, and forth my body slimmed down quiet a bit. I didn''t mind since I just thought it was normal because of the pill. I only realized what had happened to my body after eating the pill when I got to the toilet. "!@#$%^&*!" I said loudly (not a scream but just a little loud to not wake up the neighbors) After I had calmed down from my 5 sec shock: "What happened to me?" I cried "Is this because of the pill? how am I going to explain this to my parents? Is this reality and not a dream? maybe I went crazy after having that 12 hour nightmare. No this is still pretty much a nightmare since it is kind of scary" I whispered out loud downstairs my parents heard my first words which was a bunch of gibberish and came upstairs to see what had happened. They saw me and was shocked at my appearance for a much longer time compared to me. My first word to them was: "um... so what do you think?" My father took a deep breath to calm down and said you look pretty. Mother however went straight to the phone and called the doctor for immediate check up. ''I look pretty?'' I thought. Silver was never a person who knows how to judge another person face because his brain just can''t figure out who is pretty but it can figure out who is ugly. He just puts everyone that is not judged ugly by his standards normal. This is why he doesn''t know if his father was saying he was pretty because he was his father or he was saying the truth. We went straight to the doctor''s office without waiting where the doctor was waiting for our arrival with his colleagues beside him. At that time I was wearing a hoody with blue jeans. When I took off my hoody the doctors in the room gasped because they saw my picture before hand. They had looked at my profile and picture, they knew I was 5''6 (170cm tall), brown eyes with black hair with a boring look on his face and a BOY. However, what they saw was a GIRL at the height of about 5''8 (175cm tall) with bright silvery eyes and semi-long deep black hair up to the neck with a streak of silver coming from the right side. The doctors told my parents that they need to run a few test on me because they don''t even know what happened. They even called the pharmacologists who made and tested the pill. After a few days of testing they said that my genes are very normal except for the fact that somehow the pill mutated the y chromosome to copy the x chromosome. The y chromosome then created genes similar to the x chromosome and not the exact same thing so I had nothing to worry about getting some kind of genetic disease. They finished all their test on June 30th telling my parents they have nothing to worry about and that they will fund back half the amount of money they spent on the pill as compensation (this will never happen in real life). They even told them that they can change my information with the help of the government. My name changed from Silver to Silvia (Sil-vee-a) gender from male to female etc... I thought to myself ''I have 1 year to change they way I act before starting school again... I need a way to change myself and 1 year is not enough to change from being a male to a female but...'' I then remembered about the announcement on Jan 1st by chairman Sync about time in the capsule being 4x faster that normal meaning 1 year would turn into 4 years. ''that¡¯s it I will now start to change myself, my old road has crumbled in an instinct, now it is time for me to start anew'' Present time: That was my story. There are many races in New Road and they are all at peace in 95% of the kingdoms so only about 5% of the kingdoms in New Road are hostile towards certain races. ] A 3-d image flashed in front of me showing what I look like as a human in what I think beginner cloths [As you change your race the body will also change. Please choose carefully because you can only ask for a change in character once after this and your previous character will be deleted. You must do this before 16 days in game time] Well that is good since the company allows the player to change their character once. [Since you one of the first players who have entered the on the day of release you will gain 10 extra stats and also bit more information that is not supposed to be given in character creation] ¡®Neat! This map is based on the real world including the names of the countries and starting cities. But don¡¯t let that fool you because only the name is the same as Earth. This world has been constantly transformed into a magical place where mountains became forests, plains became volcanic rocks, and oceans became a sea of fire or another element, these are only examples doesn''t mean they are true find out yourself through adventures. This world is as new as a new born baby waiting to be explored. Here is a secret, the lands of the Americas have yet to be explored and also the Bermuda Triangle which is a mysteries place.] ¡®Amazing, but I don¡¯t think I am even ready to explore those places. I am basically here just to socialize as a female and learn from others such as the NPCs since TechnoArc said that the NPCs in New Road are as real as normal people, once a quest is complete it cannot be repeated unless the NPC wants to such as gathering food or fur. Of course also socialize with other female players I just hope there aren''t any males being females¡­ wait! Aw crap! am I included one of them???¡¯ I cried a bit [Each country is specialized in something and will be added to your character traits because it will become your home country. An example is for starting in England allows you have to have superior mastery for using bows and will gain extra traits on long bows. Every long bow crafted is different and people born in England will be able to use its hidden abilities also the country gives accuracy bonus. Denmark is specialized in axes allowing you to bring out the hidden potential of axes and has good foot charge bonus. The AI said so much that I just started blanking out like when you don''t understand what the teachers are saying and waking up only at the end. I was in so much shock by what had happened I didn''t even scream, I just moved my arms by some kind of reflex towards the virtual light blue sky and my hands just tried to grab something. A message then displayed: [ On starting the game for the first 3 hour GT or 1 hour RT you cannot die by any means also there is no fall damage for the first 10 min. If you do die you will be teleported in a rude matter and will get an extra 1 month penalty] ¡°Well first 10 min of no fall damage huh. That means I can enjoy my first free fall¡± I smiled as I mumbled The feeling of free falling was amazing. I thought I was either floating or flying in the air also the view was amazing once I got out of the clouds. ¡°So this is New Road¡¯s Kyoto amazing.¡± The streets are filled with tiny dots which are players and NPCs buying and selling items or doing something productive waiting for 1 month to go by. The castle was beautiful surrounded by pink trees which are Sakura trees (Cherry Blossom trees). ¡®I feel so free up here¡¯ I thought as a closed my eyes for a few seconds then opened them just in time to see what was in front of me... (Someone else pov) There it stood, a single wooden spear somehow standing straight up because of one of the guard¡¯s personal challenge to make a spear stand straight without anything supporting it. (like how your bored and started balancing a pencil on the desk) Then something fell right on top of it somehow at an angle where the spear went straight through without breaking or moving half way. (back to Silvia¡¯s pov) *Pierce* I felt a sting of pain coming from my belly and when I opened my eyes again I saw that I landed in some outdoor military weapon supply and an out of place wooden spear coming out of my body. ¡®Well there goes my mother¡¯s idea about me going to learn how tough it will be when giving child birth¡¯ Even at 20% real pain it hurt a lot. Good thing was that I didn''t take or feel the fall. My body started shinning about half way down the shaft and luckily no one saw what happened. When I hit the ground I got teleported. After 2 sec I heard a splash and felt like I was swimming. I opened my eyes and stood up above the water just to see hundreds if not thousands of eyes looking directly at me. I started to run out of the waist deep water red in embarrassment, the only lucky thing was that my face was pretty much covered by my wet hair because of the fall and water so no one knew what I looked like. Every beginner started with the same gear. ¡°Have to find an isolated place to think. Need to get out of all these staring eyes. Come on go back to doing what you people were doing before I got here.¡± I mumbled as I walked into an alleyway Once I was out of sight I started to take deep breaths *inhale* *exhale* (repeat 3 times) A message was in front of me but I didn''t read it before since I was occupied with running away. [Due to dyeing after only 5 min after starting you have proved that you need a lot of help therefore you will have to stay in the city for 3 more months GT] I brushed it aside and said sarcastically ¡°What a helpful AI¡± *SIGH~~~~* ''Well 1 month (RT) of doing nothing but socializing I guess. Beginners water bottle A water bottle given to beginners so they do not die from thirst. This bottle can be refilled anywhere as long as the water is clean. The water fountain at the centre of all towns and cities and made with magic stones that purify water while villages have wells that do the same.
Healthy wheat snack A snack that is only given out to beginners when they start their Road. This snack is very healthy for the body and grants the consumer some nourishment.

  • Moonlight Awakening (P) (Maxed): A passive skill for the Moon Elves that will only activate at night when the moon is at its peak granting a boost of 20% to every stat.
  • Moon Phase (P) (Maxed): A passive skill for Moon Elves that depends on the phase of the moon at its peak. Stats will gain an extra boost stacking with Moonlight Awakening. In the New Moon phase there will be no increase, every 1/4 phase will grant the user 5% on all stats up to a maximum of 20% on a full moon plus a +1 on every non-maxed skill. (Warning: Skill cannot level up the stage of the skill such as beginner to intermediate) There is a Red Moon phase that happens on rare occasions but it will increase stats by 50%.
Silvia remembers hearing about the Red Moon from the tutorial. It increases monsters stats by a minimum of 50% to a maximum of 200% for boss monsters. The chances of getting a Red Moon are 1/1000 which is the rarest of rare. Monsters gain a 30% increase in stats while in the darkness to a maximum of 80% for bosses. "Have to make sure I don''t fight boss monster during a red moon but I will be about 40% stronger than normal monsters because a Red Moon is also considered a full moon.''   • Moonlight Phantom (A) (Maxed): Special active for the Moon Elves making them invisible for the normal eyes and only by using special means can other people see them. This effect last for 10 sec after being activated and will need a 10 sec cooldown to be used again. (Warning: Skill is only effective IN THE MOON LIGHT and sounds CAN be still heard)

She broke from walking to jogging then a full sprint just to stop at a wall of people but luckily she is tall enough to see over the peoples head. It is to bad she missed the two highest ranks in the country but she still saw a few lords. Silvia became determined to see the lords and decides to think fast while looking at her surroundings to see what she has to work with. She was between two houses with a kind of flat roof, the walls of the buildings were rough enough to hold onto and climb. Silvia had never climbed anything in her life even before the incident because she was afraid of falling down and breaking something, but she has climbed ladders and small fences. Silvia starts looking around the alley like what normal people do when scared before running away, but she has no place to run to except back the way she came from and the person might not be alone so she just stood still. She could see no one only a drop of cold sweat that came from her forehead. "well?" the voice began again " Depending on your answer I might end your life here and now even if you are one of the new explorers from heaven" Silvia felt a cold stare combining with the cold voice and threatening words all making her blood turn cold and shiver in fear. "I-I just wanted to see the high and mighty lords of the lands marching towards the castle on the streets. But the big guy over there is blocking my view and there are too many people blocking the way for me to even squeeze through, also I am new so I don''t know the layout of the city very well." She pointed to where the big guy was and the crowd "hoo..." the voice answers "I am telling the truth" Silvia begs "I know. I just wanted to have some fun" the voice changes from deep to a voice of a female child snickering A small dark figure appears from above and starts walking towards Silvia. She could not believe her eyes because right in front of her is a figure with the appearance of... *sigh* ''I cannot believe that I said all those things towards the other lords. Asks Sayo "hmm" he began "Saya can you give me a number" "Well out of all the races out there and not adding the sub-species of the particular race... 2%" answers Saya "I did not say what specie so add in the sub-species" said Gin "Then that makes about maybe 10-15% chance and if you want a talented or hard working one I would say back to 3%" answers Saya "Dam I will take the chances" said Gin "But you are so bad at gambling... you were always in last place when we had our family game night. Saya and I basically have your entire treasury but mother just gave us enough for candy and said it was only for family fun" laughed Sayo "It was all chance" Gin grumbled in a low voice which didn''t even sound like words while the twins just laughed until they saw the other lords and Kyoto "guess we are one of the last lords to arrive father" Sayo whispers "Well it does not matter since we arrived on time" answers Saya "Yeah that should be right since we left later than expected" said Gin "hoooo..." the twins began sounding amused "What¡¯s the matter?" asks Gin wondering why they are so curious and amused, looked towards the direction of their eyes and made a small laugh at the sight of a young elf girl trying to climb the rough wall of a building "Isn''t she perfect for the role father? I mean she may not be any good but she may have some talent right? with a little bit of training" said Sayo "Yes. Sayo while I meet with the Shogun I want you and your sister to try and train her, but take turns while one trains the other will go around looking for more people who fits my description" "yes Father!" Answers the twins at the same time and both girls stepped down from the carriage without being seen and walked towards our mc. "Let''s have some fun first Saya" said Sayo "Go ahead" answers her sister " I will be right here just in case she runs" Sayo clears her throat and opens her mouth "What are you trying to accomplish by climbing the wall?" I opened my eyes and looked up to see sunlight coming from my room window. ¡°I¡¯m back in my room huh.¡± I whisper to myself It is almost 11 AM and my stomach starts to show signs of hunger. I couldn¡¯t wait to eat something good because in my mind I can only remember the taste of those awful pills. I open the capsule and began to make my way towards the bathroom to clean myself up with a shower and bush my teeth. After about 15 days of washing up I have already gotten use to seeing my new body I thought while remembering the first few days of showering in the lab. After cleaning up I make my way downstairs to the kitchen to see if there is food already made. In the kitchen I saw that my parents have already left for work and a note on the table. ¡° Silvi (nickname made by mom), your father and I have left to work by the time you¡¯re reading this note. I have left the rice cooker on to keep the rice warm and the side dishes on top of the rice. Please eat well because the capsule expands a lot of energy in the brain. Mom¡± I read ¡°Well let¡¯s see what side dishes mom prepared¡± I say while licking my lips since I am very hungry About 30 min later of eating and cleaning up I decide to do some exercise since the manual for the capsule did say to do at least a minimum of 30 min of exercise after waking up to keep the body healthy. Before I knew it I was doing some of the stretches I learned from Sayo like it was natural since I did them for 24h GT. The exercises were easy to do but there were some that was impossible to do at the moment since I can¡¯t heal the same way in reality compared to in game. This made me sad. ¡®Reality is such a bad game¡¯ I thought finishing 1 hour of stretches and moving on to jogging at the treadmill for another 30 min I look at the time on a clock and calculated that about 2h have past which meant 8h have passed on ¡°Second Earth¡± ¡°Guess I should go back and see the twins again. But I might as well clean up again after exercising since I don¡¯t want to get the capsule bed getting wet with sweat¡± I tell myself while going to the shower again I got back into the capsule after a quick shower and began my journey again ¡°Start¡± [Welcome back to New Road Silvia] I woke up hearing the sound of two girls talking about something ¡°Hey! They also talk about my to be parents Gin and Siko, how Gin is really unlucky when it comes to games and why Siko is considered the strongest member of the family. They then talk about what I needed to learn once we got to the castle. Saya even started teaching about the things I need to do now that I am a princess of Iga such as manners in talking, walking, eating etc. At midnight the happy twins fell asleep on my lap, a head per lap and I also felt the power of moonlight awakening and moon phase stacking on top of each other, since the moon is ? my stats increase by 20% and then 5% more on top of the already increased stats. (This means that the bonus is not added like 20%+5%=25% increase but like 20% increase then another 5% increase. So 100+25%=125 but 100+20%=120%+5% of 120=126) ¡®So peaceful. Even if monster gain extra stats at night I feel at peace. Maybe it is because of my race. These girls are nice; wonder if this is what it feels like to have siblings.¡¯ I thought looking at the sleeping girls I remember that sleeping in the game is the same as reality but better since 8h of sleep is only 2h reality and it has the same effects. I decided to sleep with the twins until we reach Iga castle but first I wanted to know about my stats and skills because while training I got many notifications but ignored them. ¡°Now it is time to check what I gained during the training.   • Moonlight Awakening (P) (Maxed): A passive skill for the Moon Elves that will only activate at night when the moon is at its peak granting a boost of 20% to every stat.
  • Moon Phase (P) (Maxed): A passive skill for Moon Elves that depends on the phase of the moon at its peak. Stats will gain an extra boost stacking with Moonlight Awakening. In the New Moon phase there will be no increase, every 1/4 phase will grant the user 5% on all stats up to a maximum of 20% on a full moon plus a +1 on every non-maxed skill. (Warning: Skill cannot level up the stage of the skill such as beginner to intermediate) There is a Red Moon phase that happens on rare occasions but it will increase stats by 50%.
  • Moonlight Phantom (A) (Maxed): Special active for the Moon Elves making them invisible for the normal eyes and only by using special means can other people see them. This effect last for 10 sec after being activated and will need a 10 sec cooldown to be used again. (Warning: Skill is only effective IN THE MOON LIGHT and sounds CAN be still heard)

  • Iron Body (P) (B-7(80%)): Strengthens the body by increasing the defence of the skins. This skill can advance to the next level by being hit. chapter 5- Night Raid

I re-read the skills a second time to memorize the important active skills because I have yet to use them for combat, only observe was used a lot for observing the weapons from before. Some skills that interested me were Mind Sponge, the Iga Clan specialty, and the new Elven Healing skill. ¡°No wonder why I was able to absorb so much information from the twins in such a short time because usually it takes me a lot more time to soak in words from a biology textbook¡­ Man I wish I could read textbooks in this game but then again, why would anyone combine school reading with a game that is suppose to take you away from reality. Still Mind Sponge is already at intermediate stage which meant that the twins must have crammed at least months of information into my head.¡± No one has told Silvia that the amount of training and information that was given by the twins were equal to at least 2-3 months of training, but because the twins were in a hurry they had to act fast and just did their best to teach her. ¡°Mind Sponge is good for taking in information and when combined with the Adaptability passive effect I can take in new information and process it calmly allowing faster judgement in tough situations. What is more interesting is this new Elven Healing skill, I wonder how I got this skill in the first place since it says here that it requires the teachings of an Elf mage. Still I have to consider this lucky because now I can heal myself without potions and my mana regen is 1mp/s so that is 5hp/s. The bad thing is, the active skills that would be very helpful take a lot of my mp such as Sharp Eyes cost 50mp and Acrobatics cost 100 mp plus Lightning Reflexes another 30 mp totaling 180/220 leaving me with just 40mp left.¡± I began thinking about which skills I need in battle and which I need for emergencies but then I notice that I have yet to develop special active attack skills such as a power strike or mana bolt. I have yet to choose what profession to get because of all this training. According to the tutorial job/profession selection will begin after level 10 but there are special cases such as hidden professions that will appear after a player matches the requirements. ¡°Let¡¯s forget the professions for now since I am still under beginners arrest for the next few months. Now the most interesting skill and the one full of mysteries is the Iga Clan specialty since I cannot learn it without a proper instructor¡± I whisper while putting my hands on top of my head excitedly ¡°So this is why people say humans are always curious. I can¡¯t wait to find what this clan skill is and I won¡¯t stop until I get it just hope it isn¡¯t something that will take a sacrifice of something like in some animes.¡± Smiling and accidently let out a funny laugh Just then the twins moved a bit and took me out of my thinking and back into the carriage. I sigh and tell myself to stop thinking and just go where this road is taking me and how far it will lead me until it stops (meaning until I get bored). I look down towards the sleeping twins on my laps and smile and decide to also close my eyes and sleep until we reach Iga castle where I will perform my duties. ¡°This is my story. This is my new road. Where will it lead and when will it end¡± Those were my last thoughts as I went to sleep. It felt like my eyes only closed for a little while before I started hearing voices coming from the people outside the carriage and thought that I made it to Iga castle. However what I thought and what I heard were different because the sound from outside did not sound like normal people but sound like people who were in danger yelling out things such as ¡°help¡± or ¡°over there¡±. My eyes open looking around in confusion and saw that the twins were no longer sleeping on my lap so I open the curtains of the window and saw that the guards were fighting someone outside. I knew at once that something was wrong and decide to open the door to help the guards or at least help with something. I only opened a crack until a body flew towards the door shutting the door once again and even wobbled the carriage a bit. I fell off the seat and onto my back stunned by what just happened but due to the passive skills I regained my posture and attempted to open the door again. This time no one came flying so I was able to walk outside, the moment I stepped out of the carriage someone jumped into the air and attacked me with a Katana but the man got intercepted by a small shadow. The shadow kicks the man away and then ran up towards me, it turns out to be Saya. ¡°Silvi-nee I¡¯m glad to see you have awoken, but it is too bad we aren¡¯t in a good position right now for happy talks. Do you think you can go back into the carriage for safety? We don¡¯t have extra weapons for you and with your level of skill right now you won¡¯t be able to do much to these guys¡± says Saya This tale has been pilfered from Royal Road. I was able to match half of Saya¡¯s full strength in combat during training only because she was not using her dominant hand and she was going easy on me while also wearing those tight Kimonos. Sayo then appears beside me answering ¡°These people are Mercenary warriors. They are called Ronins, samurai warriors without a lord to serve and will fight for money. Why they are attacking us is something we would like to know maybe it is only for money who knows. I will show them not to mess with the Iga clan¡± After saying that she rushed towards an enemy and I returned back into the carriage understanding that I was useless at a lv 1 even though I was able to max my stats limited to lv 1¡¯s. I sat in the carriage while watching the fight between the two groups and decided to activate Sharp Eyes to train it. Once I got my mp back I deactivate the skill and re-activate it, this continued for the entire duration of the small battle which was about 1-h. I gained enough points to get Sharp Eyes to B-5(10%) from using the skill about 70 times since I lost count after focusing on the battle.

When the fighting stopped I called the sisters and asked them if it was indeed safe to walk outside. They confirmed that there were no more enemies around and answered back. I open the door and ran towards the group of people who were fighting and saw that out of the 15 people who were with them at the beginning 3 were badly injured and the rest were lightly wounded. It was pretty amazing that only 3 were heavily injuries since judging by the amount of bodies around the area the enemy had 2x the amount of fighters. I ran towards the sisters worried that they may be badly injured. When I got near Sayo shouted ¡°over here Silvi-nee¡± with a small smile, maybe because she almost lost 3 people but was happy to see me running over. I was happy at first but then I saw a lot of blood on them and asked if they were alright. ¡°It¡¯s only the enemies blood Silvi-nee. Don¡¯t worry about it we are very good night fighters unlike these low level bandits.¡± Saya answers with Sayo nodding. ¡°So this is just a simple raid by bandits?¡± I ask ¡°Who knows. As the carriage pass the outer gate towards the inner gate I start to look around and notice another carriage going pass us towards the outer gate and inside were people who wore rich clothing. The carriage stops at the inner gate and we leave the room. ¡°Take the injured to the medical bay immediately!¡± Commands Saya ¡°Ma¡¯am!¡± The guards yell ¡°Let¡¯s go inside and meet with father and mother so we can decide your fate in this castle.¡± Sayo says ¡°Lead the way¡± I say and then take a big breath to calm my nerves We walk up a few stairs and through hallways towards the top of the building where the daimyo and his wife are waiting. We reach the room and enter after Saya says if we can go in. She was answered with a yes. As we enter the room I saw my adoptive father and mother. I feel very nervous and decided to just to smile and be cool. Talk with manners and respect since he is a lord. ¡°Welcome Silvia-dono, To the castle where you will be training and working. My name is Iga Gin and it is a pleasure to be working with you as your employer and now as your father¡± says Gin introducing himself My first impression of the lord name Iga Gin was that he had a face of a warrior who went through many battles but, still his face was that of a noble where when you remove the scares he would be a pretty boy. His body is not buff with a lot of muscles but he is cut like someone who does not rely on strength but on speed and precision. It seems like a rebel army lead by a very strong general from a fallen clan. Basically an army of ronins¡­ a very dangerous one too, because the general is none other than General Ryuuta of the fallen Hibi clan.¡± Gin says while looking down ¡°Ryuuta of the spear! Are you saying he is leading the rebels? ¡° Saya says with eyes wide open ¡°Who cares who he is right now. He is now just a rebel and a ronin general who lost his master because of the war. What I want to know is what does this person and his army have to do with us? If he wants revenge he should just go target the shogun¡¯s army. General Ryuuta is recruiting men close to our territory and if left for too long he might attack so the men who were here warns us to be careful and strengthen our defences. Every time we send a scout out to look at the land they are automatically silenced by very good archers. Their land is closed from everyone so anyone who enters is trespassing and will be sent back by a warning or killed when they reach a certain distance. Going in blind would get us killed.¡± Gin says I start to nod and thinking that we cannot attack with numbers alone since we don¡¯t know anything about their land. I arrived at the castle yesterday and learn that right now this clan is in a difficult predicament because of the neighbouring clan called the Chi clan. I look out the window and thought about the conversation yesterday. ¡° So what is father going to do about this problem?¡± I ask ¡°We can¡¯t do anything but prepare for defence and send out agents to make a map of their territory. If we attack and declare war on them we will be at a major disadvantage due to landscape because they train in their forests for years.¡± Gin answers ¡°That¡¯s right¡­ until we can map out their landscape we can¡¯t do anything drastic. So for now we can only send a diplomat to their lands and hope for the best¡± Saya adds The atmosphere in the room was grim. ¡°Well we can¡¯t do anything right now so let us just focus on what we can do.¡± Sayo says smiling ¡°She¡¯s right. Beginner training will keep helping you until level 50 then you can start intermediate training which will get you to level 80. Finally advance training program in this castle will get you to level 100 and after that will be up to you plus at 100 you can advance to the next class stage to enhance your skills plus new stronger techniques. Am I going to fast?¡± Gin tells me then asks ¡°No! please go on¡± I say The rest of the schedule was basically about courses for being a princess of the lord. Training programs: The training programs were designed to help people level up and become fighters in order to protect themselves from wild beasts. The programs are separated by 3 different classes beginner, intermediate, and advance. The beginner class is watched over by 1 instructor and 4 advance students who will help the students depending on their level thus after every 10 lvs the instructors will change up to lv 50. After lv 50 the student will get a gift depending on what starter town/city they are in and class, the quest board is open to students after lv 10. Students can sign up for the intermediate program which will help the student until lv 80 there are different instructors as well. Another reward is given after completing the program. The Advance program is from 80-100 after which is all up to the student or they can seek out hidden dojos that are for lv 100+ to advance their skills. The gift from the advance program is a mystery. Students that lv enough to go into another instructor can automatically go and any student may leave whenever they wish and come back later before 5 lv from the max recommended. So a student must leave and come back at lv 45 in the beginner program in order to receive the gift at lv 50. This applies for the intermediate but not for the advance in which the student can receive the gift after reaching 100 but they must have signed up for it. It is about pass noon which makes today the 3rd day in game and when I check the time for the real world it is right now about 4 AM. I decided that I will log out tonight and come back in the morning. I tell Sakura this so she will know where I will be and not worry after I go missing. The instructor has just disbanded the group of students and then a notice appeared. Of course she agreed and we both laugh while talking about other stuff. We were so occupied with talking that we did not sense the some of the other students looking at us mainly the adventures since the explorers know that anyone can become pretty by spending real money so they thought we were both players like them. We spent the rest of the day in town with Sakura as the guide. I met with many people such as merchants and crafters who are categorized as secondary classes. I also ate many different cuisines which were very good. In the evening as the sun was close to setting we both returned to the castle and split up where Sakura went back towards her room and I went to see father and the twins. I reach the commands room and knocked. ¡°Excuse me, may I come in?¡± I ask ¡°Please come in Silvi.¡± He says ¡°Do you have something to tell me?¡± He asks as I enter ¡°Where is Saya and Sayo?¡± I ask since I haven¡¯t seen them in the castle ¡°Because of the rebel problem threatening our land we need every able experience person will be busy with our defences¡± He answers ¡°I will be going on the training program tomorrow morning and tonight I will disappear back to my world so if I am gone tonight please do not worry much.¡± I say ¡°I understand. Good night¡± I say ¡°Good night¡± Gin say I return to my bedroom and logged out and will log in in the morning. chapter 8- Program begins I enter the game after eating, showing, etc¡­ The sun was just rising entering a new day and today is the day I leave the castle and level up. Before I entered the game I went on the computer to research about fighting creatures, you would really think that since the game just came out no one would know anything about it but that is not true. Although the game just came out it was just the complete official release. The game had to go through the alpha and beta stages but the company informed us that during those stages the world had to be made by the A.I. In order to not go bankrupt the company got people who were willing to pay for an early experience of the game even thou they will lose most of their things upon the release. The early players only got a limited experience since only a fraction of the world was completely made but it was good for them since they can keep playing without being bored of the same things. They lose their things but they do get special treatment upon the release. According to a form the alpha and beta testers get better customization without paying, 1 or 2 extra techniques, an extra inventory pouch, they are also given 5 free stat points to use, and finally they are free from the beginner house arrest thing. The early players were not few in number because according to the info anyone who is willing to pay and not mind losing their character were allowed access to it. Basically anyone who has money will be way ahead of everyone else. Those who sponsor TechnoArc are given even more things such as land or special weapons or items. Even with all the disadvantages to the beginner players the forms say that all these extra things do not affect other players because anyone can catch up to them depending on their actions. ¡° So don¡¯t whine about how they got advantages. I hope you have bought everything you need because this is a kind of survival program that will get you ready for future adventures. Let¡¯s begin moving and as we are moving please begin making your teams or if you want to work alone you can but it may be a bit harder¡± Yon says as he takes the lead walking Everyone in the group start following and then talks to each other to begin forming parties. Of course I formed a party with Sakura but it would be better to have at least a semi full party for easier and faster hunting. A group of 3 girls ran towards us and I remembered that they were also the first 3 to approach us a few min ago. ¡°Hey Silvia-san! Sakura-san! The girls reached us and we agreed to form a party with them making the party in total 5 people. The maximum amount of people per party is usually 7 but it can change depending on title, equipment, skills or party type such as a raid party. During the rest of the trip I chatted with my new team-mates on game related material such as when they started and about their future in the game. I told them they can call me Silvi if they don¡¯t want to say the ¨Ca at the end. We also decided to call Akiko by Aki and she agreed. We all became quick friends. It turns out that we 3 players started when the game was officially released so none of us were alpha or beta testers. Both Aki and Sakura became old enough to become adventurers so they decided to become adventurers this year. The only difference between those 2 is that Sakura is the daughter of the Iga family¡¯s retainers and was chosen to serve me as a maid thus received training. Both Lute and Mari spent their days in Iga castle and town helping out by doing small quests like delivery and serving at restaurants making some money and exp. Small exp from those quests do add up making them higher level than me, I was really the lowest level among the other members of the group since I only spent my time talking and training. The levels are: Silvia: lv 1 Sakura: lv 7 Mari: lv 2 Lute: lv 2 Aki: lv 5 (Remember adventurers live on the land and do chores and jobs that will give them a little bit of exp. Explorers can also do small jobs for a little exp and lv up. Every level up gives 10 unused stats and dying cuts a players stat and exp in half. The stats debuff will last 24 hours RT.) I asked them about their future in the game and they answered. Turns out Lute wants to become a close quarter combat warrior, Mari wants to become a mage, Aki a miko, and Sakura an archer. A mage is a class anyone in the world can become who specialize in using magic to fight but the miko class in the game is focused on barriers, seals, detection, purifying, and healing and is a class specific to the East. When they asked what I wanted to become I told them maybe an assassin because during my research I found out that the Iga clan was a ninja clan. Plus the best weapon I can use right now were short swords known as tanto. We arrive at the destination east of the castle town. It was a plain full of short grass and beside it was a small forest where there is enough light to see many hidden places. It was also filled with many monsters and a few people who belong to the last group of about 60 people. The samurais set down the things they were carrying and Yon came up in front of the group and told everyone that this area was for training from lv 1-10. ¡°Those who do not have a weapon please go to the samurais to the left and ask for a weapon and then go to the right for some food and rest from the walk. However that is the only free meal and weapon so if you want more food, a new weapon or repair you must pay with the loot found by killing monsters. This is a survival program, if you can¡¯t survive in these conditions then please return home. Any questions?¡± Yon says ¡°What if the monsters only drop items and not money?¡± a person asks ¡°There are merchants over by the lv 30-40 area who are buying and selling things as well¡± Yon says pointing towards the hill to the right After a min of silence he dismisses the group and told everyone ¡°Happy Hunting, if you need me I will also be here¡± Everyone disperses to the left to get hold of the weapons before they run out. The weapons were split between the samurais by the weapons they are. In the early stages of the game before the class change beginners can only use non-magical weapons such as swords, daggers, spear, bow, etc. I ask the other girls if they wanted to meet up here again after receiving our weapons and then go get our food. They agreed and we went our separate ways to get our weapons. Everyone who got their weapons were already going to the right side while those who wanted to try out the weapon first are given practice weapons to try among themselves. When it got to my turn I look behind me to see if anyone was there but there was no one so I decided to take my time but not too long. I rummage through the short swords checking each one with the Observe skill. I kept the one with the biggest attack damage in my hand while I try to find a better one and after a while I was about to give up until my hand moved a few swords away. I see the dagger in the corner of the box and decide to just observe it because nothing can go wrong with checking an extra blade. ¡°Observe¡± I say looking at the blade

I walk towards the meeting spot with a big grin and notice that everyone was already there waiting for me. ¡®Guess I took a bit longer than I thought¡¯ I wave at them and asked them what weapons they got. Aki got a pole-arm that she would use until she gets maybe a staff, Sakura got a bow and bought a few throwing knives and a quiver of 1000 wooden arrows, Lute got a Katana, and Mari also got a bow because she believes that if she can increase her accuracy which will help later on. We all went to get our lunch because we were all hungry but also excited because we get to hunt our first monster in the game before many other beginners. While eating bread and drinking tea we start discussing where to train first and what monsters will be the easiest for our lv. The monsters around the plains are mainly passive while the small forest has many passive monsters but some are passive-aggressive who will attack when you get near it. The monsters who occupy the plains are slimes, rabbits, deer, and sometimes stray foxes who are passive-aggressive. In the forest there are the same monsters in the plains plus a few more but no one can see since trees are still in the way even if it is a small forest. After we finished our lunch we set off to the grassy plains to fight the generic weak slimes. We found a slime and decided to have Lute fight it 1 on 1 to see if it will cause any problems soloing them later on for grinding some levels. We watch Lute as she runs towards it and slashes down straight in the middle, when contact was made and her sword sank down she closed her eyes confident that she defeated it. The slime pops and shrinks into some kind of gel plus leaving 3 copper coins. We were confident that Lute will have no problem soloing the slimes but we needed to know if everyone needed help so we had everyone tested. No one had any problems except for the archers because they had to pin point their weak spots in order to get a kill which was the centre of the body between the black dot eyes. Everyone decided that soloing slimes is easy enough and provide decent exp but since there were many people around here, hunting slimes will be difficult because of the amount of people going for them. There were more rabbits than slimes in the plains so we decided to hunt them. We thought they were easy but turns out they were quite fast but only for the other 3 girls. Both Sakura and I had received training till our stats were max at lv 1 had no trouble hunting rabbits which surprised the others. ¡°Hey! I can understand Sakura being able to easily hunt the rabbits but how can a a low lv like you do the same?¡± Lute asks ¡°I received some hard training by some friends and thus got my stats higher without levelling¡± I answer ¡°You must have trained for a long time to get this strong. I''m jealous¡± Aki says with a smile ¡°The training was HELL!!! So please don¡¯t be jealous ¡° I say looking at them with eyes of terror remembering the past ¡°Ahh~~~ then let¡¯s not talk about it any more and focus on getting even stronger¡± Mari says We all agreed with her and got back to hunting. Since it was still hard for the others to kill a rabbit both Sakura and I decided to injure the rabbit and allow the girls to finish them off. We all raised our levels to about lv 6 except Sakura who gained 1 lv to 8 and Aki who is at lv 7 since rabbits gave very little exp. I caught up with Lute and Mari because I could solo the rabbit and gain a little exp from helping the 2 but after lv 4 they were able to hunt them easily. The stats we got from levelling were put into our chosen fields but I choose to save it along with the special 10 stats given to me by being a player who logged in on the day of release making it 60 unused points. I decided to use the points after I make my advancement to a class. The other girls also got free points from either training their str or stamina while fighting. Since I already got a lot of free points from training I can still gain more much is 2-3x harder. Turns out that the free stats gained in the beginning are the easiest to get when trained but after that getting more free stats mean working maybe 2-5x maybe even 10x harder. This means getting the free stats early like Sakura and Silvia means that they can do well early in the game compared to the others but as the player¡¯s progress everyone will soon be on the same page. We started hunting the herd of deer around the plains who were lv 7. They were fast at running from us making it difficult to fight them plus when all 10 members of the herd gather they charge straight at us like a tank. Taking the charge head on means major damage so we had to regroup and think of counter measures. It took some time but we finally thought of a plan to fight back against the herd. The plan was to use range weapons to attack the legs crippling the deer and when the first deer is stopped the back ones will collide with the front causing collateral damage and this is when we strike. Sakura and I can handle the confused deer who were still charging without its group and a single deer is easier to deal with. The rest of the girls went to fight the crippled ones on the group. The hunt was easy after knowing the counter measures against the charge and since they were lv 7 our exp went up quite fast. Everyone got to lv 9 except Sakura who got to 10. We were about 50% from lv 10 and decided to go hunt foxes in the forest area to lv up faster. Foxes are lv 10 mobs who hunt alone but a party can still have a tough time with them since they are flexible and agile dodging attacks plus they have better at sensing projectiles compared to a deer. We were able to find a fox very easily because of luck but it sensed us and ran away. We ran after it while also killing weak mobs on the way and by the time we caught up to it the sun was almost down and we were about 2% from levelling. We wanted to take care of it ASAP because we didn''t want to fight mobs in the dark due to the night boost for monsters but it didn''t really bother me since I also get a boost. When we got about 40m from the fox something gray flashed out at it. We watched the fox get destroyed by the gray beast and then got torn into pieces and eaten. We just stood at where we were watching the entire thing unfold shocked and surprised but also a hint of fear. We did not move until it sensed us as moved its head towards us. It was a Gray wolf lv 20 which was supposed to be a mob in the lv 10-20 area but somehow it had ended up in the light forest. It watched us with its eyes filled with blood-lust which shot fear into us, it was not until the wolf took a step towards us that Sakura finally snapped out of it and told us to run. We were about to run away from the wolf towards where we came from but another wolf seem to have appeared behind us as well blocking the path. We were in between two lv 20 mobs who specialize in hunting prey and we were their pray. There was only one way out of this situation and that is to¡­ ¡°Everyone we must split up and run for it. If it was morning we 5 might be able to take on one of the wolves while distracting the other but it is night now and they get a bonus stat boost.¡± I say ¡°Silvi is right we aren¡¯t strong enough to fight them with such minimal visibility and bad terrain of the forest.¡± Sakura says agreeing ¡°So two of us dies while the other 3 survives huh¡± Aki says ¡°Well it won¡¯t be random.¡± I say ¡°What do you mean?¡± Lute asks ¡°Since me and Sakura have better stamina and dex compared to you 3 we can get away faster so we will stay and distract them for maybe a minute max. That means you 3 will have about a min to run out of the forest.¡± I answer ¡°Bu-But we can¡¯t just leave you two here¡± Aki says ¡°I can¡¯t leave you 2 either¡± says Mari ¡°We have no choice Aki since this is the best survival strategy for all 5 of us to survive.¡± Sakura says ¡°Don¡¯t ask any more questions. We don¡¯t have enough time¡­ They look like they¡¯re about to pounce¡± I say ¡°The moment they pounce you run and we will distract them.¡± Sakura says The girls didn''t want to leave us but they knew there were no other options since we have better stats then them at the moment so they reluctantly agreed. The moment the wolves launched themselves at us we all split up in different directions. The wolves saw that everyone ran and was about to choose a target and give chase but both Sakura and I struck them before they gave chase. I stuck the wolf closest to me after evading its attack to keep its eyes on me and doing some damage, then saw Sakura doing the same thing to the other wolf. I looked towards Sakura and yelled ¡°Good luck¡± and ran towards the direction away from the other girls making the wolf follow me into the darkness. chapter 9- Fight,Survive,Prize I

I ran in the darkness, through trees and roots careful not to trip. I being a moon elf race have eyes that can see through the darkness better than humans. Then I activated Acrobatics for better balance. Escaping the wolf was a challenge because of the level difference plus the environment and landscape was easy to navigate for the wolf because they live in forest areas. With all the factors in play it was no wonder why the wolf can easily catch up to me even though I had a head start. It had increased stats but it didn¡¯t really matter to me because I too have the same increase because of the night. When I hit the wolf in the beginning I was only able to make a light cut into its though fur and skin so I know I am able to kill it but will take a lot of effort. Well I really have to think fast because it is catching up to me little by little as time goes on. I had only a couple of choices and most of them consist of me climbing to a safe height. 1. Climb a tree and wait till rescue from the others 2. Climb>jump from tree to tree towards safety 3 . Climb> wait > plan > do something 4. Stand my ground, fight, and hope to survive Those were the only choices I could think of at the moment and if I were to choose 1 it would be either 1 or 3. 2 was a suicide option since I have yet to be trained in the art of ¡°tree jumping¡± and I might have to learn if I want to survive in the forest. 4 was the same as 2 with very little success because it would take a lot of time and effort in which I can save for options 3. Option 1 was a very good choice but waiting for hours to pass would be boring and I can¡¯t log out because a hostile mob is after me. ¡®So option 3 would be my only choice out of the list¡¯ I thought Option 3 was to climb to a high point and wait till the moon is up and get another stat boost because only then I would be a match for the wolf. ¡®I have a plan but executing it is harder now that the wolf is within striking distance with its pounce. If I stop and climb a tree it would have enough time to take a bite out of my behind area I thought sweating and cringing from the imaginative image I had in my mind Then I saw it, a tree bigger than all the trees I have seen while running in the forest and somehow it gave out some unknown feeling towards me making me feel uneasy while running towards it. The wolf behind me also must have felt the same feeling because it had slowed down to make a good enough distance between us for me to try out something plus the moon is almost at where I need it to be. I reached the base of the tree and turned around to face the wolf with a smile on my face taunting it. The wolf bought the taunt and pounced with a growl opening its jaws ready to take a bite out of its prey. I waited for the pounce and when the wolf took the bait I re-casted Acrobatics followed by casting Lightning Reflex to further increase my speed and reflexes plus I activated Moonlight Phantom since there is moon light reflecting on the tree. I jumped to the side barely dodging the wolf¡¯s jaws but it was still able to claw my arm, however my plan had succeed when the wolf planted face first into the huge making a big *thump* sound during the collision making me laugh out loud as I held my bleeding arm.

Even though I took a bit of damage and a big drop in mp from the skills I used I was able to do a large amount of damage towards the wolf. I took out my blade and started hacking away at the now weaken wolf further weakening it but my attacks were barely doing much because I only had enough power to give it paper cuts. Every time I attacked my annoyance grew because I was not able to completely kill it with my strength right now since in New Road you can survive with 1 hp as long as you don¡¯t get a fatal hit and this includes mobs. After a while the wolf began to get out of its debuffed stat and understood that I was still weaker than it and attacked me but because its head had yet to fully recover it fell and I took that moment to run towards the grand tree and climb. It took me about 2 min to get to a safe and strong branch and sat on it while looking down towards the wolf. Since the wolf had understood that its prey is now out of its reach it should¡¯ve just left but its pride would not let allow its prey who have humiliated it to escape unharmed so it just waited and watched the girl on the tree healing itself. I watched the wolf just sit there healing itself from the damage I caused and started cursing the stupid mutt under my breath. Well it didn¡¯t really matter because the moon had finally raised enough for me to get a stat boost from Moon Phase which stacks on top of my Moonlight Awakening¡¯s 20%. ¡®Now let¡¯s prepare.¡¯ ¡°Stats, skills¡± I whispered

My stats have not changed since level 1 because I have not used any points on them when leveling. I closed my eyes and put 50 points on str, 30 points on dex, and 10 points on luk because it does increase drop rate by a little plus it is good to be a little luckier in battle. Str: 63 > 113 Dex: 70 > 100 Luk: 65 > 75 When I finished distributing my points I looked at all the skills to determine which was actives would be useful in the fight. The only useful ones were:

Good thing I was training these skills while hunting or else they would still be in their weak lv 1 stages. Adding together the MP usage and each last for 5 min respectably I would use up a total of130MP/ 5 min not including the healing skill. My mp regen is 2.4/s = 144/min so I can use them again plus healing 70 hp every 5 min. Only problem is the stamina usage which is 70Sp/5min and I only have 230 meaning I can only use these skills 3x max since stamina only heals per sec out of combat and per min when in combat. ¡®So I can only use all both my physical buff skills at the same time 3x¡¯ I whispered while lifting my head towards the moon I closed my eyes and open them with determination. ¡°15 min¡­ More than enough time to take care of this problem¡± I whispered while picking myself up from my sitting position on the branch I looked at the wolf and it looks at me and then I disappeared from its vision surprising it as I came flying down stabbing my blade into its back which sunk in dealing a lot more damage to the wolf than before making me smile. ¡®Looks like the surprise attack from using Moonlight Phantom worked plus Sharp eyes helping me look for a weak spot causing a critical damage¡¯ I thought smiling as the wolf gave out a cry of pain and leaping away Seeing the wolf try to retreat and gain some time by distancing away from me I used both my buffs to catch up and deny it from recovering from surprise attack. I got in a few more attacks reducing its hp back to critical condition. ¡°It is over¡± I yelled as I prepared my last attack aiming for the head However, I was denied from the last hit as another wolf burst from the surrounding trees aiming its claws at me. The attack caught me by surprise but since I was using both buff skills my reaction barely saved me as I dodged to the side. The wolf I was fighting saw this and pounced at me while I was still on the ground trying to get up but just like I was denied from my attack, a dagger flew out of the forest hitting the attacking wolf in the side causing it to collapse right beside me. ¡°Silvi-sama finish it!¡± a voice cries breaking me from my trance I quickly took my blade and shoved it up the head of the fallen wolf finally killing it along with a notification. You have leveled up x3
¡®Finally pass level 10¡¯ I thought but the celebration was short because the other wolf started to howl after its partner died The wolf howled for a short time but then about 5-7 small daggers like the one that saved me came flying at it and then killing it. A shadow from the trees jumped down into the light but I already knew who the person is because only 1 person would call my name with a ¨Csama at the end. ¡°Thanks Sakura you saved me¡± I said looking at the moon my back on the ground ¡°It is my duty Silvi-sa¡­¡± She said as I stopped her from saying sama since we are still outside of the castle ¡°And it was my fault for letting my wolf get away in the first place endangering you so helping you is a must¡± She said holding her hand out towards me I took her hand with a smile getting back on my feet and brushing the dust off my clothes. We were about to have a nice chat but suddenly we heard howls making both Sakura and I jump and in alert. ¡°I forgot¡­ According to the books on monsters in the area wolves are not like foxes who hunt alone but they hunt in packs¡± Sakura said looking at me with a ¡®opps haha I forgot¡¯ face ¡°damn lets climb¡± I said in a hurry going towards the tree again but it was too late a big wolf had blocked the path. The wolves had surrounded us eyes full of rage and menace. There were about 4 wolves in total with 1 that was larger than the others. Sakura called it the alpha male so the boss of the pack and said that we were actually lucky that this pack was small because most packs are as large as 12. ¡°So now what?¡± Sakura asked looking around ¡°No choice but to fight and survive¡± I said ¡°Any plans?¡± She asked ¡°One of us distracts the alpha and the other takes care of the small ones. I will let you choose your role¡± I said ¡°I will distract the alpha since he is the most dangerous because he is smart thus can command the wolves in the fight¡± She said ¡°I see distract the leader to break off coordination and teamwork.¡± I said ¡°Let¡¯s begin Silvi¡± She said ¡°Right!¡± I yell as I dashed toward the alpha forcing the other wolves to interfere and block me At that moment Sakura also burst out and ran towards the Alpha and before any of the wolves turn to block her I attacked and agro them. Fight, Survive, Prize II The three wolves attacked me all at once but because of my increased speed and reaction I can dodge the attacks and counter one at least 1-2 of them before retreating a distance. However, I always look towards Sakura''s direction to see if she was allright. Sakura was not only distracting the alpha but sometimes she would help me out by shooting 1-2 wooden arrows at the wolves to distract them and cause a bit of damage. The alpha seems to be having trouble getting close enough for an attack because Sakura would always maintain a certain distance using her throwing knives. Her knives would only hit the target once in a while because the alpha was much more flexible at dodging the attacks but by dodging it misses a chance to close in on her. ''So I don''t have to worry about her since she can hold her own for now'' I said putting my concentration on the 3 wolves in front of me '' The faster I finish these 3 the faster I can help her with the alpha'' I thought During the moment I re-casted my buffs to renew the duration on them and attacked the wolf to the right so I can use the centre wolf to block the left wolf from carelessly attack me. The right wolf also attacked when I moved but I knew what was coming so I just used Phantom and side stepped to the right putting me in a better position because now the other wolves have to take another route to attack me. I stabbed my blade into the wolf''s side, neck and then the eyes since they were weak points marked by my eye skill. Each hit was a critical since I struck right on the point and causing major damage towards the wolf. When the centre and left wolves appeared from my left and right sides almost encircling me trying to track me with their nose I jumped above the wolf I was fighting since it was almost dead. I did the final blow towards the wolf as I jumped on top of its back and stabbed my blade stright into its forehead. The wolf made its final sound and collapsed turning into light. I didn''t have the time to rest as I was then attacked by wolf to my left since my ''Phantom'' ran out making me jump back towards the other wolf. The wolf behind me pounced jaws open aiming at my back and forcing me to twist my body making the wolf miss its attack but instead it collided with me. The attack failed but I still lost some Hp and Sp because it was a difficult movement and was only possible with Acrobatics. If someone else were to do the same thing they would either lose some hp or sp maybe even get a debuff. The wolf that was in front of me also pounced when the wolf and I hit the ground making me twist my body again and kick the ground to get behind the fallen wolf using it as a shield. They collided causing both of them damage but since I was behind the flesh shield the force of the pounce also pushed me down causing some damage towards me. The wolf''s pounce got both the fallen wolf and me to fly and hit the ground with a *thud*. I flew further than the other wolves and took less damage so I got up first and saw that both wolves were on each other in confusion. I took the chance to cut down the wolf on top because it took the least amount of damage compared to the one on the bottom. It took 3 stabs in the head to finally die and since the other wolf was still in pain and unable to get up I took the liberty to bring its suffering to its end. Notifications came in front of me telling me I levelled 2 more times. I went into my stats quickly since there aren''t any more enemies after me and distributed my 60 free points. 30 in str, 20 in dex, and 10 in luk. After finishing my stats I casted ''Phantom'' and ran towards the alpha still fighting Sakura. The alpha responded and turned to where I was with its senses since it could not see me. Sakura who saw me disappear reacted to the wolf turning its head but piercing its left eye and right front leg with a couple of knives making the alpha cry in pain. I took that moment and struck its head with my blade but its random movements made me miss and hit its neck causing some damage since I didn''t hit a critical area. "Buy me some time as I distribute my abilities" Sakura said "Sure! but don''t take long" I answered ''She must have gotten exp from the exp share in the party system'' I thought The alpha got back up turning its body towards me and growling in rage, it made a howl and pounced. I also jump at it to the left out of its vision since its left eye is damaged. The attack missed me and allowed me counter by stabbing its neck again and slashing the front leg but it denied me by jumping back. ''So its attacking and retreating... What a defensive wolf'' I swore inside I had to get another good attack in like before and I knew what I had to do. I rushed the alpha at my full speed blade in hand and eyes on target. The alpha watched me with its one eye and jumped to my left where my blind spot was and tried to bite me only to watch me disappear and was stabbed in the snout. I rushed at the wolf fully aware that my left side was completely unguarded and so when the alpha jumped to my left and attacked I used ''Phantom'' to disappear and ducked onto the ground under its mouth allowing me to stab upwards. The alpha was in pain but was still able to swipe its claw into my left arm causing a bleeding debuff and me flying to the left. I landed face first onto the ground and was confused at what happened. The alpha ran at me while my back was still turned thus didn''t know what was going on until I heard a yell from a distance making me turn towards the area. Sakura was standing with a bow in her hand drawn and firing at the alpha slowing its advance. She bought enough time for me to stand up and retreat towards her. "Are you ok?" She said still firing "Yea thanks" I said turning around facing the alpha again "Its already weaken so let''s just end it" She said looking at the alphas state "Got it" I answered blade in hand Sakura said that she only had about 2 throwing knives left and plenty of crappy wooden arrows. She judged that the alpha will die if I can get in 1-3 more clean attacks on it so she will keep it distracted while I look for an opening and ran to the left. I stayed where I was using the last of my Sp on my skills and watched the alpha as it runs towards Sakura. Although she said that she will distract it she was able to do significant damage to the alpha with her last knives. I then took off running towards the alpha and used ''Phantom'' making me invisible. The alpha was so occupied that it didn''t see me coming towards it and then a blade went into its neck making it give one last cry before falling and disappearing. When the alpha vanished leaving his loot I felt exhausted making me stagger to the side and hitting the base of the large tree. I decided to just sit down and recover my points and looked at Sakura as she yelled if I was allright and I answered "yes just tired". She didn''t come over to me after I said I was allright and just said "I''ll collect the loot from all the wolves so please rest". I sat there looking at Sakura as she went around collecting all the drops looking pretty tired as well. After about 1-2 min she walked over to where I was sitting and gave me the items the wolves dropped.

When we opened our eyes we saw a place full of statues and a kind of shrine. The moon above was full meaning that either we were teleported to the future or that this was not the same place as before. I got a stats boost from the full moon so I knew that it was not an illusion. Sakura was checking the statues that looked like foxes and said that these were old. She told me that we got teleported into a separate dimension. ''Wow this game is so advance that it has different dimensions. I wouldn''t be surprised if there was a cow level in this game'' I thought "So how do we get out?" I asked "I don''t know because it seems like there is a barrier behind us because I can''t seem to get through it" Sakura said "Well no use just hanging around here, let''s try our luck in the shrine or course carefully" I said as a walked towards the shrine stairs with Sakura following We walked up the age old stairs to the front of the shrine and inspected the outside. I looked at the notification in front of me and smiled since I gained a lot of new skills and some are for attacking which I was lacking before. I was also really happy and surprised about the stat reset because now I can put my points on stats that are really needed by my class. There was also the skill stat arrangement which made me wonder. I was about to inspect all the things I got with the class change but then I noticed another light coming from beside me meaning that Sakura also got a class change. "Did you also get to change into the same class as me?" I asked "No after you got your class I got a choice to become the class ''Fox Guardian'', this class was made to serve the ''Nine Tail'' class." She answered "You didn''t really have to choose it if you didn''t want to you know" I said "Well there was no problem in choosing it because I already serve you plus this class has a lot of pros where the cons are just that I have to protect you since I will lose a lot of my stats when you die."She said "Really what are the pros?" I asked "I can learn any skill I want from any class except special hidden classes, when I am with you I will gain a 3% increase in stats, when we tag team against an opponent we can infect 5% more damage. Finally I get half the same night bonus as the mobs." After we finished we noticed that the room was somewhat smaller than before and was becoming darker. " Guess they got help but a little too late thou?" Sakura says "Well at least they got help instead of just leaving us. They are pretty far away according to their voices" I say "Over here everyone!" I yell "You''re all very late girls" Sakura yells The girls came running even faster towards where we were and shouted our names. Aki jumps and hugs me and Mari does the same to Sakura. Lute came over and takes all of us for a group hug. "We are all glade you two are safe" Lute says "We would''ve been faster but we had to fight our way through those buffed up monsters while getting out of the forest" Mari says "Well it doesn''t really matter anymore since it is already over." I said "Wow from the way you look did you two really beat those wolves or did you run away." Lute says "We teamed up and defeated them somehow" Sakura says "Very lucky really... I might have died if you were not there to help me" I said "We will never know since you might have soloed all the wolves yourself" Sakura says "Wait! there was more than the two wolves said by these girls?" one of the warriors the girls bought asked " Yeah there was a small pack of about 6 including an alpha" sakura said "Tell the captain about this after reaching the camp, he will do something about it" the soldier said leading the way towards the camp while looking a bit worried While we walked to the camp we talked. "So tell us everything after you got the wolves to follow you through the forest" Aki said with eyes full of expectations "Yeah let us here it" Lute said I said sure and began my side of the story about my fight with the first wolf and then meeting with Sakura and the confrontation with the alpha wolf of the small pack. I told them about the way we fought and how the wolves fought. I decided not to tell them about the hidden class yet because I don''t want them to think it was unfair that I got a hidden class but I will tell them later. After I told my story Sakura began hers and since I was not with her until the meeting at the tree I was also very curious. She began her story at after agroing her target and running to almost the same direction as me. She was trying to gain enough of a distance so she can climb a tree and get the height advantage on the wolf since she had a bow. It took her quite a while to gain enough distance from the wolf by jumping and climbing small hills. When she got the chance she began climbing up a tall tree leaving the wolf on the ground. She took a rest to recover from the running and watched the wolf circle the tree she was on but she took pot shots at it so it could not rest. Some of her shots with the bow hit the mark but since the wooden tipped arrows were not that great she did not do a lot of damage but enough to weaken it. She then said she heard a howl coming from another wolf causing her target to take off running towards the direction of the cry. She guessed that I was also at where the howl was and decided to damage the wolf further before it can join its comrade. That was how she got to where I was and finished with saying "the rest of the story is just as Silvi said". She finished her side of the story at the right time because we just made it to the outside of the instructor''s living quarters. It was a very large cabin made of wood with plenty of rooms. The soldier entered into the building and headed upstairs towards instructor Yon''s room with everyone following. The soldier knocked on the door and told them that we were found and will be coming in to see him. A voice from the other side told us to go in and then the soldier left after we went in. We saw the instructor and he told us to tell him everything about last night. We just repeated what we told the girls on the way here. He listened to our story and nodded. He told us that due to the problem caused by a neighbour clan the beasts are starting to move around a lot more than usual. He said that the wolves only start moving to this side of the training spot when winter hits. It turns out that depending on the season and climate the monsters from all over the world will start moving to other spots. The system is pretty unique to have climate, season, and weather and also behaviours associated with the changing environment. Afterwards he gave us certification and told us that we can leave and get our class changed as long and we show the class instructor the certification which also allows us to choose a clan skill. We left the room and headed to the class instructor associated to our chosen class. The class instructor I was looking for is located in the basement so I said good bye to everyone and promised to meet at the front door after finishing the class change. I leave and walked down towards the basement and opened the door that read "ninja class instructor". I looked inside and saw the instructor talking to other people. "Hello young explorer! How can I help you?" He asked "I got my class changed but I did not get my special skill sir" I said The instructor asked for the certification paper which I gave him and told me to put my hand on the center of the paper. I put my hand on the paper which then started glowing and at the center words started to appear. After a few seconds the glowing stopped and I read the words on the certificate which now shows my name, sex, race, clan, age, level, and something called general class. I asked the instructor what the general class meant and he said that there are many sub-classes that are basically the same as the known general class such as a Samurai is considered a warrior. He took the certificate and looked at it. "Oh? did you get the class change from another ninja teacher? Well go to the table over there and when you find which scroll you wish to take. Remember you can only choose once so choose carefully, trust your instincts because it is something that will help you survive" he said pointing towards a table on the far right where "Thank you " I said walking towards the table leaving the instructor to his conversation with other explorers and adventures who seems to be asking questions about their class. I walk towards the table with about 20 skill scrolls on it each very much the same as the one next to it. With no way of telling which skill is what, this makes everyone choose by instinct. The skill turned out to be a transformation skill that transforms a blade into a weapon fan. I was feeling kind of disappointing because it wasn''t an attack or support skill. I just thank the instructor and walked out the door back up the stairs. When I got to the meeting area I only saw Sakura there which was obvious since she did not need to get anything from the instructor. I greet her as I approach and she greets me back and then moving her eyes to the left. I wondered what she saw as a slender hand grabs my neck and a voice yells "Silvi" in a happy tone. I knew from the voice that it was Aki and I greet her smiling. "Hey! Guessing from your voice you must have gotten something good from you advancement" I say "You guessed right my friend!" She declares as she spins a full 360 degree "Well are you not going to tell us?" Sakura asks "Nope! I will spill it when everyone has gathered here" she answers Just as she said that someone said "Judging from your actions something must have happened to you during the advancement" The statement came from Lute and beside her was Mari who along with Lute looked just as happy as Aki. "Well judging from your faces and the atmosphere around you two, both of you also got something good to share right?" Aki says "Yeah! I got an amazing skill" Mari says "Same here" Lute adds "Well who wants to share first?" I ask "I will since I cannot hide this excitement inside me anymore. Their weapons of choice are talismans used to cast their spell instead of a staff but they can use any secondary weapon like bows or knives. The miko class is an improved version of a cleric "That is an amazing skill Aki! You got very lucky on your pick" Lute says "Yeah! I was just as surprised when I got it. Now what did you guys get" Aki says "Well my turn then. The secret skill I got was "Dark Chain Binding" which allows me to create magic traps that will activate when my enemy steps into it. This skill will bind the enemy and weaken their defence also it affects everyone in the magic circle and does damage equal to 1% of their total HP for 5 sec." Mari explains "So the skill is an AOE crowd control skill plus it also does damage to the enemy" I say "It is a big help to you since you can appear helpless and then trap them. Since it lowers their defence you can do a lot more damage to them." Lute says "Very good for low defence class like yours" Aki says "Yeah! I love it since it cost less MP compared to my other class skill plus it gives me an advantage against melee classes." Mari says puffing out her chest in happiness "Well it is my turn then. I got an amazing skill called "Shadow drain" which activates when I lock my weapon with my opponent which then allows my shadow to drain my opponent¡¯s mp or hp as long as my weapon is in contact with the enemy. " Lute says with confidence "So your shadow keeps draining your opponent until your opponent gets away from your blade?" Sakura asks "That is very over powering if you are teamed up with Mari and her chain" I say "People with the same clan skill is made to team up against other clans. I like this system." Mari says ¡°Well my clan skill is called ¡°Shadow Partner¡± which allows my shadow to come alive and fight with me. Just think of it as a clone that can do everything I can but only at 50% right now since it is beginner.¡± Sakura tells everyone When we heard what her skill can do, our eyes were filled with excitement and amazement since she can practically clone herself even though it is only 50% the strength of the original. Then everyone turned their heads towards me, their action made me feel embarrassed since my skill was not as cool as theirs. "Silvi how about you? what skill did you get?" Aki asks "I did not get something as amazing as all of you. I got a skill called "Weaponized Fan" Which allows me to transform my weapons into a fan that is also a weapon" I say As I say that the girls all looked like they felt sorry for me since I got pretty much a trash skill. I look at the Fan Arts and see that only one is available to be used since the skill is still level 1 but the locked skills do tell what the required level is to unlock the other two skills. Since the Art is pretty much a separate skill system apart from my personal skills dedicated to using the fan as a weapon which is very interesting. ¡°Sakura I just found out how to use this skill!¡± I jump up in excitement and hugged Sakura ¡°Silvi-sama I am glad you are happy and I am glad that your personal skill is useful to you¡± she says just taking the hug and thinking nothing of it ¡°Oh! Sorry did I hurt you? I was just so happy about this clan skill¡± I say after releasing her ¡°Well now that the happy moments have passed I need to deliver this message to you from Lord Iga¡± Sakura says suddenly in a low and serious voice I was very surprised to hear that ¡®father-in-law¡¯ has a message to give me since everyone there including my two younger sisters have been busy with the neighbouring clan. ¡°Does it have to do with the neighbouring clan?¡± I say becoming serious ¡° Yes, it is as you say. The Chi clan¡¯s border activities during the last few days were increasing exponentially but somehow in one day meaning yesterday their activities went to an all time low. All their troops have disappeared in the night indicating that they retreated from the borders but that is not all. The rebel army have also gone further into the territory making not only our agents lose sight of them even our allies¡¯ lost sight of them. ¡° Sakura explains ¡°So what does ¡®father¡¯ want me to do?¡± I ask ¡°Nothing. He just wants you to be careful and to inform him if you see anything suspicious while you are out training¡± She answers ¡°I see.¡± I say while thinking a bit ¡®So the Chi clan is either making their move or changing their objective. Well either way nothing good will happen if those choices are chosen¡¯ I thought I look at Sakura and ask her what she thought about the Chi clan¡¯s actions. Sakura says that the Chi clan might have given up on attacking this territory because of the lord¡¯s activities in strengthening the defences in the borders. However, she quickly says that the possibility of the Chi clan retreating was a big 20% chance since they have deep hatred towards our clan plus those people love to war. As we were talking about the Chi clan issue a notification about someone trying to call me appeared. The person trying to contact me was Lute which surprised me that she was on so early. I completely forgot to check if anyone was on when I logged in because I was occupied on the fan skill. I looked at my friend list and noticed that all three of them were on. We separated at about 3 am (GT) where the real world was about 1pm then I logged back on at about 10 pm making a 9 hour interval. Doing the math about 27 hours GT have passed. I press ¡®answer call¡¯ on the notification and a voice came through. ¡°Silvi! Now that you¡¯re on do you want to meet us at the next training site for lv 10-20? The three of us are here training to catch up to you and Sakura.¡± Lute says ¡°Sure, I will be there shortly¡± I tell her ¡°I will call Sakura after¡± She says ¡°no need she is right next to me right now¡± I told her ¡°really? Ok. We are right now in the forest fighting Brown Fur Boars¡± Lute says ¡°Got it see you soon ¡°I tell her and turned the call off ¡°Sakura we¡¯re meeting with the others in the forest in the next training site fighting Brown Boars¡± I tell Sakura ¡°Ok, if memory serves the Brown Fur Boars are located that way¡± Sakura says leading the way Explorers and adventures get a message/calling system except adventures only get it when they become adventures otherwise they won¡¯t know anything about it. According to them the system was created by god whom we players know god by the AI in charge of the game. The game is balanced to explorers and adventures. This story has been taken without authorization. Report any sightings. I follow Sakura to the destination and while I was walking I placed ¡®Hidden Fan Blades¡¯ onto one of the empty slots. I tested the Art by making blades appear and disappear until I got the hang of making the blades appear. The blade will appear almost immediately after willing it to plus I can change the length of the blades to the same length of the original blade. This means that I basically still have the same weapon but a better version. It took around 10 min to get to where the girls are training at and when we arrived we were greeted with a charge from a boar. I was surprised because I remembered that my stats were reset after getting my class so I was back to my level 1 stats. Luckily a black charm appeared in front of me completely blocking the charge with a barrier and because the boar charged into it and could not break it, it suffered a backlash and a stun. Sakura finished it off with her archery since she was smart enough to distribute her stats. I thanked her and she just said that it was her duty. We went to where the other girls are and conversed. I asked Lute and Mari why they were on so early and they just answered that they just ate and went back online to sleep since it was proven that in game sleep is the same as real life sleep. I would have done the same but I have family life as well as a game life. I gained a total of 7 levels from killing the wolves making me level 16 and almost 17 in only a few more %. I asked the girls what their levels were and was surprised that they have pretty much caught up to me. No they really surpassed me in level even Sakura because she had time on her hands to train a bit.

This made me very sad because now I am back at the beginning at being the lowest level of the group even thou level doesn¡¯t really mean much if there is only a 10 level difference. I asked how they got so high in less than a day. It turns out that leveling from 1-100 is fast and takes less than 20 days if a person trains hard. This means that you can level to second class advance easily after doing all the training camps. Sakura and I joined them in their training and worked together fighting boars and living tree stumps. Of course I had distributed my free points to the required stats which is indicated with a star beside it. All classes have two main stats that they are recommended to raise *Guys think old Maplestory when warriors need dex and str*. My class is the same where it requires both Dex and Luk with Luk being the primary and Dex as a secondary. I have decided to put 3 dex and 7 luk every level. Luk: 65 > 177 Dex: 70>118 My damage depends not on raw strength but on precise strikes, fatal blows, and critical attacks. The higher my Luk is the greater fatal and critical damage I can do plus it increases abnormal status like bleed and stuns. chapter 14-The Beast The group went further into the forest to find wolf packs because boars and living trunks felt too easy since they have major weaknesses. The boar¡¯s only attack is a charge which takes them time to build up speed and momentum meaning they must be at a certain distance to really do damage plus their charge attack only goes straight. The boar¡¯s are easy to dodge with a lot of openings but they are still better than the living stumps with are slow at moving and attacking making them even easier targets. The only reason why living stumps are lv 15 monster is that they have the ¡®root¡¯ skill which binds a person for 10 secs and because they are made from wood they have pretty good defence for their level. Since we are in a party plus can kill these monsters by ourselves we all decided to find the strongest monsters in this training area which were the monsters we have already faced once, the Brown Fur Wolf. *In the early chapter where Silvi and the gang first encountered the wolves I wrote gray wolves and then turned it into Brown I am sorry for the mix up* The weapon I am using is the fan weapon I transformed my blade into and when testing it out on boars and living trunks I found out that other than changing its form and having hidden mechanisms, it was pretty much the same as before. However, I did not give up hope because the more I used the fan the more the experience on the skill rose. I really wanted to have the other 2 skills unlocked to try them out. When the other girls saw that I was planning to use my fan as a weapon they quickly asked if I really wanted to use it because what they just saw was an ordinary fan. I told them that this fan was much more than meets the eyes and then quickly closed the fan and revealed the hidden blades and enlarged them into a normal tanto blade. The transformation from a normal fan into basically a short sword surprised them because what they saw now was the fan had basically tuned into the hilt (grip) of a sword. *Though it is late I hope everyone knows what kind of fan I am talking about* The girls congratulated me on getting a pretty cool skill and said they were sorry about thinking that it was a junk skill that is not very useful. I just told them that it was fine since I had first thought it was a junk skill and laughed it off then continued searching for the wolves with my new skill track. The skill ¡®Track¡¯ is only beginner so I can only track down easy and dumb pray which might not work on the wolves but using it will get me experience so I am not losing out on anything. While we were trying to find the wolves we conversed about what new skills we got after advancement, but only the skills that are interesting. My plan was to get more information on each class before using the ¡®Copy¡¯ skill since it can only copy 1 skill. I did try to copy one of the clan skills the girls got but it failed and only got a notification that the skill was special and cannot be copied. ¡°The only amazing skill I got was ¡®Assassinate and Track¡¯¡± I tell them and then explained what the skills did ¡°Well those are the only cool skills ninja¡¯s get just after getting their class. I find ¡®Iron body, Combo, and Heavy Cut¡¯ good. ¡®Iron body¡¯ increases my defense, Combo increases my damage every time I deal multiple hits so every hit will be stronger than the last and will keep increasing until broken, finally Heavy Cut is an attack skill that uses stamina and some Mp to do high damage.¡± Lute says ¡°I have pretty much the boring basically the same Mage skills in almost every game such as the ¡®four elemental attacks (fire, wind, water, and earth), Mana Guard, and meditate¡¯. The 4 elemental spells are pretty much a no brainer where I can use any of the four elements to attack or defend like fire ball or wind wall. Mana Guard makes armour of Mana around my body that absorbs 50% of the damage deducting it from my Mp. Meditate just speeds up mana recovery but I won¡¯t be able to move.¡± Mari says sighing ¡°The Miko¡¯s beginner spells are very basic as well. I have ¡®Full Barrier, Healing Charm plus other support Charms, and Basic Shikigami¡¯. Full Barrier creates and circular barrier around us, the support charms increase certain attributes or heal others, and Basic Shikigami only allows me to summon small animal spirits.¡± Aki says also sighing after listening to Mari ¡° I have ¡®Multi shot, fire arrow, ice arrow, and arrow pierce¡¯. Each one is what the name sounds like so no need to really explain it right? Mari, Lute and I were lost in words because of the surprising question coming from Sakura and remembered that 2 of the 5 of us were people born in this game so they have no idea what Mari said. I was sweating a little bit because I did not have anything to answer her with because I can really tell her that she was not alive and that she was just a program code. I look towards Mari and Lute noticing that both of them were lost and looking at me for an answer which made me even more nervous. There was silence form almost a minute until we were saved by Aki. ¡°Ah! Sakura don¡¯t you remember the prediction saying that the ones who are sent here are called explorers who can revive with the power of god to help us in fighting monsters. They must be told that it was a game to see who would be more helpful and are competing with each other¡± Aki says ¡°That¡¯s right! I have forgotten since I was having so much fun. We were sent here to have fun explorer this world while helping the people here expand their knowledge about their world.¡± I quickly added supporting Aki and even glancing at Mari and Lute for support Both Girls watched and nodded while smiling saying ¡°I forgot too¡± and smiling. Sakura looked at us and nodded accepting our answer. This experience made me realized that this world was too real; Sakura and Aki were so real that I forgot that they have no idea about our world which made me sad because she was a very good friend. In fact Sakura really is considered my best friend and it is sad that I can only see her in game. While we finished explaining to Sakura my eyes using ¡®Track¡¯ finally caught a clue on a pack of animals moving in a certain direction. I signaled the girls to follow me towards the tracks. We gathered at the footprints and by using ¡®Track¡¯ I found out that the footprints were fairly fresh and since there were quite a lot of them heading in the same direction. My skill did not allow me to find what made the tracks but I can guess that they were wolves because it was quite a large pack. Sakura who¡¯s class is Fox Guardian can learn any skill she wants from the general classes (*more info on like chapter 10*). So she also has the ¡®Track¡¯ skill from an Archer thus she agrees with me when I said that they look fairly fresh. We tracked the footprints by following them slowly because the pack was very large. As we followed the prints they got fresher meaning that we were catching up to them but I also realized that the pack was heading to the direction of where most people are training at from lv 10-20. As we got closer to where the pack is we heard distant shouts and howls. These sound made everyone want to run towards the place. When we finally reached the plains area where most people train because of easy visibility we saw a skirmish between the trainees and a huge pack of wolves numbering in almost 60 normal ones, 10 alphas, and one Gray Furred Wolf who seems to be the one leading the army. The parties in the plains seemed to be holding their own only because of the seniors who were monitoring the training but even with their help the numbers of the wolves were still pushing them back slowly. The wolves were much organised because they now have a commander. I was too far away from the commanding wolf to get any information on it. ¡°Should we also join the fight?¡± Lute asks frightened by the number of wolves ¡°We should help out since we trainees from the same clan should stick together¡± Aki says standing up ¡°She¡¯s right! If it was only us 5 fighting them we would just run but look there are others there fighting giving us a chance to win.¡± I say standing up ¡°Alright let¡¯s go help out then¡± Sakura agrees We all got up and ran towards the battlefield and when we got close enough we saw what we were fighting against.

Of course I choose yes since I already decided to join the battlefield a while ago. I know that the others have gotten the same message since they were mumbling ¡°yes¡±. When we followed the tracks of the wolves we had ended up to the side of the battle and not behind the wolves so we counted ourselves unlucky since we could¡¯ve gotten the upper hand flanking them. However, it was also a good thing since we did not know if the 5 of us can fight the boss plus its guards.
The more you contribute to the battlefield the better reward you will get when the battle is won
I ignore the notification because the Boss noticed our advance from the side and sent 1 alpha and 10 wolves to flank us from the side. I had prepared ¡®Sharp Eyes¡¯ in advance before we entered the field so my eyes caught the flanking wolves before they can surprise us. I told the other girls about the flank and turned to the direction of the flanking wolves. ¡°Take out the wolves first. We can¡¯t be flanked while fighting the Boss with only 5 people.¡± I say while turning ¡°She¡¯s right since the wolves that are being led are getting a boost from the commander making them stronger than usual plus they have advantage in numbers¡± Sakura adds and turns ¡°can¡¯t be too careful right?¡± Aki says turning Lute and Mari just nods and turns to the same direction meeting the wolves. When we got to a good distance the mid-long range classes stopped and prepared for battle. Aki uses her ¡®Shadow Talisman¡¯ to make charms that increases our stats to a max of 3 charms per person. Lute who has more defence than all of us stands in the front with her blade drawn pointing towards the wolves got defence up, attack up, and strength up. Mari who is in the back got her spells ready and got an increase is magic, int, and mana recovery. Sakura who is the long range fighter already started shooting the wolves when they got into her range also she got mana recovery, dex, and attack. I am also a close range fighter but my style is surprise and flank attacks aiming for the weak points indicated by the ¡®Sharp Eye¡¯ skill. I also increase my reflexes with ¡®Lightning Reflex¡¯ and ¡®Acrobatics¡¯ for faster attack reactions when attacking. While the wolves are still out of range I started getting ideas on how to fight them easily. ¡°Mari! Can you use your ¡®Dark Chain Binding¡¯ to make a trap under Lute?¡± I ask her in a hurry ¡°Yes I can!¡± she answers and starts preparing her trap before the wolves engage Lute ¡°Sakura try to use your arrows to lead them closer to each other so the chains can bind most of them.¡± I tell her ¡°Consider it done!¡± She says with concentrating and releasing some archer skills like ¡®Multi Shot¡¯ and ¡®Fire Arrow¡¯ to scare them and making them get closer to each other. ¡°Lute jump back when I give you hear be say ¡°Jump¡±¡± I tell her ¡°Sure¡± she answers The Wolves were now closer together still rushing us with full speed and will soon bear their fangs at Lute but unfortunately for them all 11 wolves alpha included have fallen into the trap. When they got within the trap Lute jumped back with my signal but the alpha also followed her by jumping but at that time Mari had manually activated the trap. The normal looking ground suddenly started glowing making a shape of a magic circle indicating the activation of ¡®Dark Chain Binding¡¯. Black chains shoots out of the ground ensnaring every wolf and constricts them causing damage overtime. Not on do the chains cause damage it also lowers their ability to defend making them more susceptible to attacks. The major success of ¡°Dark Chain Binding¡± immobilizing all 11 wolves including the alpha surprised me bringing a smile on my face. ¡°What luck! Now attack while the chains abilities are still in effect.¡± I say Did you know this text is from a different site? Read the official version to support the creator. Anyone who could attack began to rain attacks down onto the ensnared wolves killing them in a short amount of time. The wolves died and in place of their bodies were mainly common material drops except the alpha dropped a robe which is given to Mari. As we finished up on our part I inspect the battle seeing that the trainees with the help of the senior helpers started pushing back and is making progress in finishing the event. ¡°Looks like this battle is our win¡± Sakura says also noticing that the tides have changed ¡°It was a big blow to the enemy since they lost has lost 10/60 of their fighters plus an alpha. We also got reinforcements when the other seniors came to help forcing the Boss to send the rest of its alpha guards into the battle.¡± I say while looking towards where the Wolf Commander is but the area is empty I was just about to tell the others that the Boss has disappeared and was moving but before I can open my mouth I hear a scream coming from Lute. She was hit and flew a few meters pass me colliding with Sakura who was also surprised lost her center of gravity and fell. I look towards where Lute had been to see the big Wolf Commander Boss standing there growling and ready to attack again. Everyone including me stood in silence, stunned by this development causing us to lose a few precious seconds from retreating or preparing a counter attack. The Boss gives a fierce howl towards us breaking us out of our stunned state and back into the fight. Aki creates a barrier around us and begins to use healing talismans on Lute who was almost dead from the surprise attack. The Boss attacks the barrier cracking it but not fully breaking it so it bought us enough time to heal Lute and prepare to fight it. ¡°Damn wolf attacking me from behind while I wasn¡¯t ready¡± Lute yells while standing up and readying her blade once more and adding ¡°There won¡¯t be a second time¡± While Lute was healing Sakura used her ¡®Shadow Partner¡¯ skill and started shooting her arrows at the Boss. Mari also started attack the Boss with ¡®Fire Ball¡¯. The barrier gave in after the second attack making a shattering sound of glass but at that moment I took action and shorten my blade to around 20cm for a lighter weapon, open up my fan and used ¡®Assassinate¡¯ on an indicated weak point. 300 I quickly retreat satisfied with my damage but the Boss did not let me escape easily because it jumps towards me trying to bite my face. Luckily Lute attacks the wolf from the side injuring it and forces the agro on her. ¡°Did you like that Mr. Commander?¡± Lute yells The boss looks at Lute and activates one of its skills and tries to bite Lute but misses and this allows me to strike at its weak points again at the neck. I stab at the red indicators at the neck of the wolf with my fan but this time with a 40cm closed fan long blade plus ¡®Foxfire¡¯ which gives my blade fire attribute. 250 The damage was not bad since it is very close with the assassinate skill. The Boss was not only strong but also smart because it started moving around even more than before making it harder for me to hit the center of the weak points and doing damage. We continued attacking the boss until its health hit the critical level forcing it to use its trump card. Its fur starts glowing changing it from hair like strands into a flat piece of metal. The Wolf Commander was now wearing an armour plate increasing its defence by a lot. However, this change does not change the battle because even though it had increased defence it gave up speed and attack for it. No matter where it ran we surrounded it and pounded its armour with attack doing damage plus since we have a mage the armour could not defend against magic so soon it fell with a howl. The remaining alpha¡¯s and wolves that now lost its commander made a haste retreat back into the forest but the people they were in battle with did not allow them to escape since they were exp and because of the event. We walk towards the drops appearing at where the Boss¡¯s body fell and found a only two equipments on the ground. I could see that one is plate body armour that will be given to Lute but the other was a glowing dagger which sparked my interest. chapter 16- Contributions I walk up to the glowing tanto dropped by the Boss and use ¡®Observe lv 4¡¯ on it.

I look at the blade once more after reading the stats and then turned around to tell the others about it. ¡°Good work everyone but there are more of us than the amount of equipments dropped by the Boss. Should we use the rolling system (System where you get a random number from 1-100 and the highest number gets the item)?¡± I ask ¡°Why should we. I mean we only have one warrior who should get the warrior based equipment and one thief who should get the thief based items. The only time we have to roll is for magic based items since both Mari and I use those items. Right?¡± Aki says while looking at everyone Everyone nods agreeing with her since no one wants to have useless items in their inventories this early in the adventure taking up space. So with everyone agreeing that I should have the Tanto and Lute gets the warrior body armour. I tell them about my new blade since they were quite interested with the small glow on the blade. I share the item information with them making them smile and congratulate me on my first ¡®Semi-Rare¡¯ Item. The girls seem to know about these ¡®Hidden Abilities¡¯ because they didn¡¯t look as surprised as I was so I asked them about it. ¡°What? Didn¡¯t you get an explanation from the voice when it was teaching first timers?¡± Mari asks tilting her head making it seem like a question mark is floating above her head My cheeks became red with embarrassment while telling her that the tutorial was so boring that it made my senses blank out so I could have missed it. ¡°Yeah, I also know about the ¡®Ability¡¯ property from it when I started but I also missed a lot since my ears only focus on interesting parts of the tutorial¡± Lute says touching her head also becoming a bit embarrassed ¡°I see these items all over the front of the stores since they are the weapons people want and it attracts customers.¡± Aki says suddenly ¡°People who want to buy them need a lot of money since they cost more than normal weapons because they are rare quality.You got a semi-rare weapon which doesn¡¯t cost as much but it will still be at least 5-7 G. Really can¡¯t wait to get my prize¡± Lute says smiling ¡°I got 1st. Maybe it is because I was the one who finished the boss off with my magic even though Silvi and the others did almost the same amount of work as me.¡± Mari says looking like she didn¡¯t deserve it ¡°Why make such a sad face? Be happy! Congratulations on becoming first because you earned it yourself.¡± I say while patting her on the back ¡°Silvi is right. You are a mage and you finished the Boss off with your strength. Knowing the weakness of the enemy and exploiting it is something everyone does¡­ Mainly in a life and death situation.¡± Sakura says looking at Mari and then adds ¡°Congratulations¡± The other two also adds their ¡°Congratulations¡± with a physical contact like hugging. ¡°Let us go back to Yon-san and get our prize and it looks like I am level 24 now. It took about 20 min to get to the cabin again from the battlefield and when we got there we saw the other participants lining up in front of the instructor who is handing out prizes for their contribution. We walk towards the end of the line and just waited until our turn. I look towards the direction of the instructor to see what kind prizes a person can get. I see prizes ranging from coins to potions but did not see any equipment being handed out. ¡°For a battle like this you would think that they would give out equipment instead of potions and gold coins¡± I say out loud ¡°Are you joking right now girl? The last person in our group to go is Mari who is rank 1 which got us all excited and interested in what she will get. Yon congratulates her and gives her a bracelet instead of a usable item.
