《There's another world?!?》 Chapter one Hi all! This is you protagonist Ryan speaking! How do you do? I''m 16 years old this year and I''m 1.62 cm tall. Right now I''m faced with a ridiculous situation. Right now I''m running in the forest doing my best to stay alive from getting my ass shot to death. What? You wanna know how I got to this situation? Well it all started with this. They said it was a simple mission. Heh, simple mission my ass. When we approached the objective what waited for us there was not the objective guarded by two guards but a whole god damn battalion waiting for us. Key word "waiting". It was a fucking slaughter right there. Right, the objective was a person that held some interest for the organisation I worked for. Yeah, I work as a teenage soldier got a problem with that? As for the circumstances which caused me to become one well... I grew up in an area of strife, my parents were humanitarian workers there when they got hit by stray rounds from a firefight happening nearby. I was ten back then. Being stranded in an area where violence, drugs and rape were common without my parents I managed to survive for a full year by working as a child soldier for the rebels that was also when the organisation took an interest and recruited me. At least I get paid now rather than back then where I work for free for the rebels. So back on point right now I''m in somewhere in the European jungles avoiding guards and sniffing dogs trying to survive when my luck didn''t hold out anymore. Just as I was about to reach the extraction point. Floodlights switched on with a loud *Doom* sound in a U pattern blinding my eyes. "Surrender and you will live, resist and you will die." A rough voice that sounded like it was amplified by a megaphone sounded. It also has that vibe which makes you clear your throat. It wasn''t long before my eyes adjusted to the darkness when I saw armoured personal carriers and men wearing woodland camouflage aiming their rifles at me. A case of content theft: this narrative is not rightfully on Amazon; if you spot it, report the violation. In the center stood a man holding a megaphone. Strapped to his thigh is a holster carrying a pistol. The man looks like those fat generals that you encounter everywhere. His fat belly barely contained by his uniforms which were by the way bursting at its seams. A smirk rose on my face. That''s the objective standing right there in front of me. Well, if I die might as well take the target down with me. Why do I not surrender you ask? Well, I''m alone in this world and I have nowhere else to go. My best friends all died in the earlier ambush and I''m all that''s left. So if I wanna die at least let me die with a bang. I raised the rifle that I had carried in a low ready. As I was doing so shots rang out and bullet hit the dirt in front and beside me some ven managed to hit me but I ignored the pain and the sting of the dirt I focused all of my concentration on the man standing in front of me with a smirk on his face. *Bang bang* Two shots rang out. Two shots that''s all that was needed to end that man''s life and mine. I started dancing like I had a seizure when bullets started hitting me all over my body. As I was getting shot all over something started to bubble up and realised its laughter. That laughter originated from the fact that this mission was a set up all along the pieces started to piece themselves together the moment I shot the general. I was destined to die from the beginning this mission started and how they waited for me at the extraction spot. I was sold out by the very organisation I worked for! Fucking A. A/N This is my first post here so I welcome any kind of feedback, inputs or criticism. Chapter Two Death sure is scary I will have to admit that. Hearing the loud beating of your heart and the mad rush of your blood in you ears. Right now I''m floating in this dark void which seems to to absorb all forms of light. I''ve tried turning on my flashlight that I always bring along with me but all it managed to do was shine a few centimeters ahead before flickering and then dying. As I''m floating lazily in this lightless void I heard a voice that sounded as if it were right beside me. "Looks like I''m starting to imagine voices are here." I''ve read about how people who went into the world''s quietest room and would start hearing auditory hallucinations within ten minutes. "Ryan, I''m real and not a figment of your imagination." Once the voice said that a bright flash blinded my eyes. After a while the bright flash started to dim and I could finally open my eyes. In front of me stood a beautiful lady dressed in a light green toga. The lady had beautiful green eyes and blonde hair, her body proportions are just right. Her chest and bosom were just right, not too small not too big. While I was getting mesmerised by her beauty the lady spoke in a voice so sweet that I swore I would kill for it. "Hello Ryan." "Erm... Hello and how''d you know my name miss...?" Hey, even if I''m an orphan it doesn''t mean that I don''t have any manners. All courtesy of the organisation for teaching me etiquette. "You can call me Lady Varia and how do I know your name you ask. I''m what you would call a goddess." I scrunched my eyebrows. I don''t remember hearing of any goddess called Varia. Seeing my reaction Varia chuckled softly. "Ah, I forgot to mention that I''m actually a goddess in another world." "... What?" "As I said there are multiple worlds that exists parallel to each other I''m a goddess in this particular world." "Uh huh." Seeing my still confused reaction Varia explained what this another world business is all about. The author''s content has been appropriated; report any instances of this story on Amazon. After a few minutes of explanation I finally got what she said. The gist of it is basically this. There exists seven other worlds other than mine and Varia is a prominent goddess in a particular world. The void which I was in earlier was the space located in between the two worlds. "With the explanation now out of the way. I ,Varia, would like to offer you a second chance in my world. Of course, I will let you keep your memories of you previous world. What do you think of my offer Ryan?" The offer is enticing I must admit but having lived in the tough part of the world for some time I know that something like this doesn''t come for free. "I think it''s interesting but what''s the catch?" Varia showed a sad smile at my answer. "It''s because I pity you and your circumstances." "There are people who deserves this much more than me." I could feel anger at myself for being chosen to get a second chance in life but not my other friends. "you are going to change the history of my world in a very significant way. That''s why I chose you. And you''re going to see your friends as well. I made the same deal with them that I''m giving to you now. So, do you accept it or decline?" The thought of seeing my friends again pretty much is the deciding factor. "I shall accept the deal then Lady Varaia." "Very well, I shall not explain to you the common sense of the world since I rather have you learn it by yourself slowly." I agreed with Varia''s reasoning. I''d rather much spend my time slowly learning the common sense of this new world that I''m going to. "Oh, and by the way you shall be reborned as a child." "Wait... what?!?!" However before I could finish my sentence a bright flash blinded me again and thus beings my new life in this world.
Author here. I welcome feedbacks, criticism and suggestions. Chapter Three So... News flash everybody! I''m now a baby! That''s right I didn''t misspell it or anything I just got reincarnated into a baby. I could hear a woman screaming as well as a man giving out encouragements in a deep voice. As I was coming out of the dungeon lair I tried opening my eyes but could not. I also felt cold and started to relay that by crying. I mean babies cry when they want something right? As soon as I started crying I could feel hands grab me and wrap me in a warm towel. "Lord Vastal, congratulations it''s a boy!" I could hear a female voice say. That was when I could finally open my eyes and take in my surroundings. Carrying me was a middle aged woman dressed in a French maid style clothes with pink hair and..... wait.... Am I dreaming? Wriggling on top of the lady''s head were a pair of rabbit ears the same colour as her hair. Whoop! A real life rabbit girl. As I was thinking lewd thoughts about the lady a man''s head appeared in my view. "Hi there Paul, I''m your father Richard." The man who is to be my father in this life is pretty handsome looking ---and that''s coming from a guy-- with his square jaw, ocean blue eyes, and blonde hair tied into short ponytail that reached down to his nape . His face is pretty spotless except for a neatly trimmed beard. "Jenny if you would please." Richard said to the woman carrying me. This text was taken from Royal Road. Help the author by reading the original version there. "Yes, master." Jenny then proceeded to put me in my father''s arms. It would seem like my father''s pretty boy soft look isn''t really his true measurement of his strength as I felt myself get carried by strong arms instead. My dad then carried me to my mother. She looks young likely in her twenties, her hair is light blue like the sky and her jaw is V shaped, her eyes looked sharp and are blue just like her hair. "Look Sylphy, this is our boy doesn''t he look cute?" "He sure does." My mother replied back in a sweet voice. "He looks just like you Sylphy." "Oh please I feel like he looks more like his dad." "Oh no, I think he looks more like you Sylphy." I looked up and saw Richard had locked eyes with Sylphy. Why do I get this dangerous feeling that they are going to start flirting in front of me? True to my words they started flirting with each other in front of me and Jenny. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- A/N: New chapter released! Have fun reading this new chapter and as always I enjoy any kind of feedbacks, criticisms and suggestions. Sorry for such a short chapter! _:(¡ä¡õ`¡¹ ¡Ï):_ Since I have a pretty busy schedule with school (Yes, I''m playing the school excuse card.) and stuff. Chapter Four-huge ass timeskip Six years has passed by being Paul Valister the youngest of the two sons and one daughter they had. ( I know, quite a timeskip.) Yes, I have three siblings. It would seems like my siblings weren''t able to make it for my birth because they were studying in a rather prestigious magical academy called Astria Academy named after the kingdom which it is located. The Astrian Empire is an Empire which focuses solely on magic. They pride themselves on producing the best mages to date. The magic used in this world makes use of mana which could be found everywhere you could even find them in pebbles but the amount of mana is barely existent. Mana can be found in our bodies as well but the amount found depends on the constitution of the body of the person. As the Goddess said this world really has fantasy like settings. Magic and fantasy like creatures exists here. I also get to see them frequently as I live in the outskirts of the Hamia Kingdom located East of the Astrian Empire. The Hamia Kingdom is more of a cultural country and gained its profit through the exchange of culture and of goods and spices between countries and continents. The Astrian Kingdom on the other hand is more of a militaristic country and gains its profits through the selling of magically enchanted weapons. Despite the vast differences you see in our culture. The Hamian Kingdom and the Astrian Empire enjoy a close relationship with each other as they are both interested in magic plus the Hamian kingdom sometimes buy their magically enchanted weapons in bulk. Located to the North of the Hamian and Astrain Empire is the largest country called the Varian Theocracy. Yup, that Goddess has a country named after her and it would seem like her religion is the most widespread and influential. The Varian Theocracy occupies at least two fifths of the entire continent. To the south of the Varian Theocracy is a mountain range and behind that mountain range are many more kingdoms and countries but I bet you didn''t come here to hear me lecture about the various countries located in this world do you now? So, on to the daily life of Paul Valister. I will wake up at seven every morning the time when the Roosters start crowing waking up everyone in this small village that my father, Richard Valister, owns. I will then follow my mother,Sylphy Valister, to do some grocery shopping. Once the shopping was done Sylphy will then cook breakfast together with the household maids. After breakfast I will either go to my father''s study to read up on books about this world that I''m living in until tea break or watch my mother teach the kids in the surrounding neighbourhood basic Maths, basic magic and doing some storytelling until the sun is high up in the sky. Of course, I didn''t join any of her class since I''m supposed to be a six months old toddler but I''d sometimes join the kids. She didn''t notice me blending in with the kids though, not with the best surveillance training on Earth which I received from the organisation that I used to work with. But today is a special day I didn''t do any of those stuff mentioned above today. Morning swathe same as ever being woken up by the crowing of the Roosters. I went down to the living room located downstairs right next to the kitchen of the two storey mansion that we lived in. As I stepped into the living room. I saw Richard, dressed in a leather sleeveless jacket and a black shirt with a pair of black pants, and Sylphy, dressed in a blue dress, seated on the long ass table that (which Richard claimed he got it from the King himself for doing a great service to the country.) I bet an F16 jet fighter could land on and still have enough space to take-off without turning around. Richard was seated on the front end of the table and Sylphy sat right beside him to his left. I sat opposite Sylphy and greeted them both with a ''good morning.'' They returned the same greeting back to me. Sensing the happy mood in the air I asked them what''s going on. "Mom, dad. What''s going on?" I asked with my innocent six year old boy face. "Son, today we are going to test your magic prowess." Richard replied back to my question. Ah right, there was this such thing which I''ve read bout in a book in Richard''s study. When children are six years of age they are brought to a nearby magic guild branch and tested for their magic capability. Social standing in this world is dictated by your mana capabilities. You can do the testing earlier but I''d rather enjoy my life slowly rather than have it rushed. I''ve never had a slow life before as I was always helping my parents in the refugee camp and the organisation barely gives me any break. Right, Magic guild. The Magic guild is the largest guild in the world right next to the Adventurer''s guild. They have a branch in every country, every city, every town but villages don''t have a branch so sometimes villagers will travel to a nearby town to test for their mana capability. Same goes for the warrior guild as well as the adventurer''s guild. Stolen from Royal Road, this story should be reported if encountered on Amazon. Next let''s talk about the ranking system of this world. There are seven mage ranks in this world. They are: Initiate ---> Apprentice ----> Novice ---> Master ----> Emperor ---> Saint---> God. It is said that people who are god ranked are immortal. Also there is a warrior ranking in this world as well. They are pretty similar to the ranking to the mage ranking but keep in mind that a mage is at least twice as powerful as a warrior. The warrior ranks in this world are: Initiate ---> Apprentice ----> Novice ---> Master ----> Emperor ---> Saint---> God. Very similar but getting promoted up a rank is kinda hard considering how warriors are weaker than mages but that doesn''t mean they are useless. Warriors excel in close range combat so the moment a mage let''s his or her guard down and let''s a warrior get close to them. Shit happens. Warriors can make use of mana as well it''s just that they aren''t aware of it. Warriors can sometimes accidentally or purposely infuse their mana into their shouts ---if they are at master rank--- which would in turn cause some debuff effects when hit by the shout. "Son, today you are going to the magic guild to be tested is that alright?" "Yeah!" I''m pretty excited myself as I wanna see what my mana capability is like. Sylphy chuckled at my excited expression and went into the nearby kitchen to grab something. When Sylphy appeared she was holding on to two bags which I assumed are filled with the rations for our trip to a nearby town. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Right now I''m seated on a horse drawn carriage next to Richard . " Wah! I''m going to miss you Paul!" A girl is currently burying her head into my chest and crying. "Relax Mary I''m going to be gone for two days there''s no need to get so upset." I started petting her head which in turn causes her wolf ears to twitch. "R...Really?" Mary looked up at me with her blue puppy eyes. Mary has light blue hair and her wolf ears were the same colour as her hair. She also has a tail which displays her mood so it''s very easy to read her. Ah right, Mary. She''s an orphan and I met her when I was strolling around by the nearby river enjoying the new sights when I heard laughter and then sobbing, turns out a bunch of kids were bullying her. They thought no one would come to a place like that but it looks like they thought wrong I told them to stop bullying her and they complied with my orders although that took a little work to convince them to comply but they all went home all good except for a few limps, few broken ribs and an arm. Ever since then she started following me around and sniffing my body. No, I''m serious she''s been sniffing my body. heck, I even caught her sneaking into the mansion and sniffing my underwear and used clothes. " Yeah really." Looks like my answer satisfied her and she finally let go of my shirt drenched in her tears and snot. Mary stood back and sniffed. Mary is currently six years old,. The same age as me. She also has great talent as a mage by the way. At the age of three she was already casting Novice rank spells. At her age I was still cooped up in Richard''s study reading up on the world and being a three year old kid. Sylphy appeared from the mansion holding two pouches which probably contain our food for the one day trip to the nearby town. "Have a safe trip and make sure that you protect our son dear." Sylphy said to Richard and then handing him the two bags and giving Richard a quick peck on the lips. "Who do you think you are married to?" Richard replied with a chuckle. "A strong man." Stop acting all lovey-dovey around me dammit! And why is the atmosphere around them look pinkish also are those hearts flying around? "Ahem." I cleared my throat and my parents got the message. "Have a safe trip too Paul." Sylphy leaned into the carraige and gave me a hug. "Yeah, have a safe trip!" Mary shouted. "Yes, mom aand MAry thanks I will have a safe trip." I waved to them. With the farewells done Richard snapped the reins on the horses and we began moving forward slowly but getting faster as time passed by. I looked back and saw the village filled with houses built from rocks and tiled roofs slowly disappear into the distance. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- A/N I know I know my updates are pretty irregular but I''m having my mids in two weeks time so don''t expect much. Anyways new chapter enjoy it and as always I welcome feedbacks, criticisms and suggestions. Have fun! Chapter Five "Whoa..." In front of me is a sight that I''d will literally kill for. We are currently in the nearby town of Kalifna. The town is a border town where travellers from the Hamia Kingdom and Astrian Empire go to to cross the border between these two great nations. The streets are filled with people wearing vibrant clothes, the air filled with merchants shouting over each other''s voices to gather customers to their shops and of people bartering and buying items. And that was just the outskirts just outside of the town walls which looked like it had trace amounts of Milthril added in. Well, that was not unexpected as Kalifna is a commerce town and is making huge money out of adventurers and tourists alike. As I was admiring the sights we approached a long queue originating from what looks like the town''s gate. However, instead of queuing up behind Richard instead rode to the front. When a guard saw this he shouted at Richard to halt. "Halt!" My father being the wise man he is decided to continue and flashed the emblem of the Vastal family. Seeing the badge which contains the emblem of the Vastal family ---It looks like my family produces powerful magus and warriors and is pretty influential. Don''t ask me why my family owns a small piece of land even with that kind of reputation--- The guard stopped in his tracks and placed his fist on the left side of his chest where the heart is and did a slight bow and waved us through. After all our carriage is the kind that you can see getting used by commoners instead of the lavish kinds used by the nobles instead. Hmm... It seems that nobles get to skip the checks the guards does to one when entering a town. Entering the town Richard and I left our carriage and horses with the town''s stable and headed immediately to the magic guild. Magic guild''s building was pretty majestic if I must say so myself. The building was huge like mansion huge, it is also white pristine white not even a trace of dirt could be found its walls. As Richard and I entered the building I gasped out in surprise as the interior of the building betrays the modest like feeling exerted from the white walls. Inside, was a spacious hall filled with robed figures milling about a few glanced our way but other than that nothing much. Also at the sides were statues of six robed figures and I assumed that they represent the six masters of sorcery. I read from a book from Richard''s study that they were the six masters of the elements meaning each of the six masters has reached god rank in their respective elements. Talking of elements there are six elements in this world and they are: Fire, Water, Earth, Lightning, Air and Light. There''s the dark element but since the church which holds the most political power in this continent deems dark magic as heretical it is not included in the basic elements. As I was admiring the sights and following my dad at the same time we reached what looks like the reception area just behind the bustle of robed figures milling about. The receptionist which Richard and I approached looked like she is from the elf race which is pretty rare considering how elves themselves rarely travel out from their home. Much less working for us "lowly" humans. The receptionist has long blonde hair reaching down to her waist, green eyes, slender legs, slim waist and her chest was just right not too big and not too small and finally the unique long ears of the elves. "Good morning Miss Elf." Richard greeted the elf. "Mary will do just fine." Mary replied with a gentle smile on her face. "Well then Mary, we are here to have an aptitude test for my son here." Richard motioned to me. "That will be 10 Gold." My eyes popped out at the ridiculous amount. 10 Gold is more than enough to feed a normal family for at least 5 years. To explain the economics of this world it goes like this. Bronze coin or more commonly known as copper coins are the lowest currency followed by silver and then gold coins. Their worth goes like this: 100 Copper coins = 1 silver coin 10 silver coins = 1 Gold coin Without even batting his eyelids Richard took out his coin pouch and took out 10 gold coins and gave them to the receptionist. "Thank you Sir. Go down this hallway to your right and then enter the door second to the last." Mary motioned to a hallway to our right filled with people not wearing robes and instead normal clothings. Richard nodded his thanks and proceeded down the hallway. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Unauthorized duplication: this tale has been taken without consent. Report sightings. Half an hour has passed and it was finally my turn for the affinity test. The waiting area for the affinity test looks just like a clinic''s or a hospital''s. You''ve got rows of seat and a door at the end of the hallway where the test for the affinity test is held. The waiting area is also filled with representatives from various countries and academies to draw promising candidates to their sides. "Lord Paul Vastal?" A nice looking lady pocked her head from the half opened door and announced. "Here!" I raised my hand in the air. "It''s your turn now." Hearing that I stood up from my seat and make my way to the room. When I entered the room it was white and devoid of any furniture of the sort, four robed figures could be seen standing at the four corners of the room and there was a complex magical formation on the floor. The formation is a large circle containing smaller circles within. Between the gaps of the smaller and bigger circles were runes inscribed, in the middle was a triangle with a small dot in the middle. "Lord Vastal please step into the middle of the formation please." The nice looking lady told me. I obeyed her instructions and stepped into the middle of the formation. How this test works is that if a person has good affinity with fire the formation will shine orange, so the respective colours for the elements goes like this. Blue = Water yellow = Lightning Green = Air Brown = Earth White = Light Black = Darkness But since Dark magic is considered heretic magic you rarely see the formation shining black. As I stood in the middle of the formation the four robed figures closed in on the formation and placed both their hands on the floor and willed mana into the magic formation. Magic formation works by having mana being injected into them as being displayed right now. I was expecting a bright flash of your element''s colour but what greeted me was just a weak pulse of yellow and that''s it. How strong your affinity and mana capacity is is determined by how bright the flash of your element''s colour is but a pulse? Well, shit that''s barely the minimum. "Hmm.... A normal affinity with the lightning attribute but barely any mana." I looked down in shame as the Vastal family usually produce mages and warriors with outstanding mana capacity. And I don''t really wanna disgrace the Vastal family which has treated me very well and feels more of like a family than the one back on Earth. "It''s alright son, not anyone can become like your brothers or your sister. Even they surpass me in magic and warrior skills." Richard seeing my downed look offered words of encouragement to cheer me up. "Mmhmm." I nodded my head. "Come on let''s get out of here." Richard placed his hand on my small back and gently guided me out of the Magic Guild''s building. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Right now, Richard and I are in the town center making our way through to the town''s stable to claim back our carriage when something shiny caught my eye. I went and took a closer look and realised it''s a barrel full of a mercury looking liquid. "What are you looking at son? Hmm?" Richard appeared over me and saw what I''m looking at. "What''s that Father?" "Oh that? That''s Liquid metal. It used normally used for crafting but much skill is needed to craft something from it." "Oh?" I glanced at Richard. "Shall I explain it to you?" "Yes please!" Richard began to explain why Liquid Metal is very cheap and why it requires skill to craft something from it. Liquid metal is cheap simply because barely anybody uses it even though items crafted from it are stronger than dragon scales but here''s the catch. When forming something out of liquid metal one must be familiar with how the object they are going to craft is going to feel like or else they will form an object that is very brittle and deformed looking. Liquid metal is also favoured by assassins as they can sneak a small bottle of liquid metal and form a blade from it when no one is looking. Hearing this an idea formed up in my head. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- A/N here! So, did you enjoy the chapter wll, did ya? Anyways my updates will be irregular and if you don''t wanna miss a chapter please do follow. Also, this is my first time writing an FF in royalroad so I''m currently getting used to the various functions that I can use. Anyways, have a good day! Chapter Six A/N : So on chapter five you guys has noticed the liquid metal from Gun Ota! appearing and our MC having the same circumstances as the MC from Gun Ota! So having said that enjoy this new chapter! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Richard and I went back home that day with five barrels of liquid metal filled to the brim heck I''d bet that there if you were to flip the barrel upside down you won''t find any air bubbles in them. So, at least a week has passed by since then and I''ve spent it on experimenting with the liquid metal. True to Richard''s words the liquid metal will only form into something sturdy but only if you are familiar with how the object you are going to craft operates. So, with that in mind I''ve decided to start small scale to try to get my gun sense tingling. Today, ladies and gentlemen, I''m going to craft a gun! So with small scale in mind I''m going to try and craft a handgun. Yes, I know a handgun requires alot of maintenance but there are pistols that are low maintenance as well as wear and tear but since I''ve always been using handguns instead of revolvers for a majority of my time back with the organisation I basically know all of the inner workings and how the pistol feels like. With the previous experiments I''ve been doing the past week I''ve come to a conclusion that it is much better to build your parts one by one and fixed them together like lego blocks instead of trying to build the whole thing together in one shot. I searched through my mind for pistols that are low maintenance and pack a punch, the first choice that came up was the M1911 but the wear and tear is fucking huge. I''ve heard from friends that used to be in the army that the M1911s are constantly replaced due to the wear and tear. (Noticed how the barrel is getting pushed down by the upper receiver? That''s what''s causing the wear and tear.) http://img.pandawhale.com/post-23012-How-a-glock-pistol-works-gif-I-lANJ.gif Next choice that came up was the Desert Eagle. Yes, I know the cailber in this thing is basically useless for real life combat but the wear and tear in that thing is closed to nothing as instead of pushing the barrel down with the upper receiver the Desert Eagle instead has the back of the upper receiver slide back to chamber a new round. (The upper receiver slides back to eject and then chamber a new round.) https://images.puella-magi.net/thumb/0/06/Homura_desert_eagle.png/400px-Homura_desert_eagle.png?20110430234144 So, now I have a pistol that has little wear and tear but the caliber is a problem. I took out a piece of paper and started sketching the desert eagle. So, now what I''m gonna do is this. I''m going modify the Desert Eagle a little bit. I''m going size down the barrel so that it can accommodate the .45acp. I''m going to decrease the springiness of the spring so that the blowback from the .45acp will be able to push the slide back or else instead of an automatic pistol I will be having a bolt action pistol. There will be no change in the magazine other than sizing it down so that it could fit into the magwell of the sized down desert eagle. Once I''ve drawn a rough sketch of the modified Desert Eagle I begun to craft it in my mind. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Two days has passed since the start of the Desert Eagle project. So far I''ve managed to craft the magazine and the upper receiver along with the barrel. Now I just need to make the lower receiver and I will have a working gun. Just like everyday I went down to the living room on the first floor and has my breakfast after that I went down to the river behind the village to continue my crafting. This tale has been pilfered from Royal Road. If found on Amazon, kindly file a report. I arrived at the nearby river behind the village. The river actually originated from the nearby snowy mountains one can see in the distance and as such villagers will regularly go there to collect drinking water and to do their laundries as well. But further downstream is a forest which barely anyone goes to as it is known for harbouring monsters and small time demons and since there is barely anyone there I made that spot my research centre. The only person who comes here other than me is Mary who will deliver me lunch and speaking of Mary she is hired by Richard to work as a maid in our mansion. Once I''ve reached my research centre which is nothing more than a wooden table and the five barrels of liquid metal hidden in the nearby foliage I took the completed parts out from a pouch hidden in the nearby foliage. I placed the completed parts on the wooden table and then concentrated on making the lower receiver *Five hours later.* "Whoop!" I raised my fist into the sky. Finally! after much concentration I''ve made my Desert Eagle .45 special. ( That''s waht I''m going to call my modified pistol.) "Now, for the ammunition huh." I mumbled to myself. As I was pondering on how to get the propellant a high pitched voice interrupted my thoughts. I turned to the voice irritated but showed a soft looked when I saw who it was. "Ryan! Here''s your lunch!" Mary ran to me and held up a lunch box. Apparently lunch boxes do exist in this world, the lunch is essentially just a wooden box with slots in them so that you insert wooden slots to separate the dishes accordingly to portion and size. I opened the cover of the lunch box and saw that it contained grilled fish placed on top of vegetables, a lemon was placed at the corner. I took the lemon and squeezed it over the grilled fish before sitting down beside the river and eating it. "Ohhh, so this is the thing that you''ve been working for the past few weeks?" While I was enjoying my lunch I didn''t notice Mary going over to the wooden table and picking up the Desert Eagle. "Uh huh." "It''s so shiny." The characteristics of an equipment crafted with liquid metal is that they are unusually shiny. "You should probably go back to the mansion now or else Mother will get worried." My research centre is quite a ways from the mansion and could take at least 30 minutes on foot to get here. "Yeah, I should probably get going. Bye!" "Wait! Here''s the lunch box." I handed the lunch box to Mary for her to bring back to the mansion to be used again. I had finished my lunch while Mary was playing around with the Desert Eagle .45 special. Handing over the lunch box Mary skipped back home. Having finished lunch I went back to pondering on how to get the propellants needed for the bullet. I''ve dabbled with chemistry back on Earth so I''m aware of the contents needed to create the smokeless gunpowder that I need but I''m not even sure that the chemicals which I need are not even available. While thinking of ways to make the propellant needed for the bullet time passed by quickly and the sun set behind the snow capped mountains in the distance. Taking that as the que for me to go back home I took the completed Desert Eagle and brought it back with me instead of hiding it in the nearby foliage. I covered the lid of the liquid metal barrel and rolled it behind a bush and stacked pieces of twigs on top. Once, I made sure that the barrels are barely visible I went back home. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- A/N: Next chapter we shall take a look into how our MC will create the gunpowder he needs for creating a bullet and the trail. Anyways, feedback, reviews generally any input will be welcomed.
