《Reign of the first Dynasty》 Prologue 1 (unfateful day) James Lin attends Fuzhou Gezhi High School with his sister Lily Lin. James is a grade 11 student at this fine institution, his sister is a grade 10 student. James majors in Chinese literature, but he has a fine understanding of Physics, Chemistry, Politics, and History. At the end of the day he waits for his sister to finish class and club activities before going home together. This is a brother-sister thing they been doing together since grade 2. James enjoys spending time with his family, he lavish the time he gets with his father. Since he is the heir to his father business, he is learning by spending time as a hired aide at Lin Hardware Inc. Lin Hardware Inc. is a muilti-billion dollar company based in Shanghai. In terms of legitimate siblings he has a younger sister and a younger brother. He extremely dislikes drama and all the issues that is caused by illegitimate children that his father procreated. The females that he spent time with in the past when his dad was poor all want a piece of that billion dollar pie. There is power struggle between half siblings and shares of the inheritance. All this drama creates many headaches for the adolescent. Today on June 2nd, Lily decides that they should go buy more paper to print photos on. The two siblings go to a popular shopping district to pick up the supplies. Lily is really excited, she enjoys photography and is in the photography club in the High School. James tagging along to help carry the load of photographic paper and other supplies she is buying. After purchasing all the goodies that she needed, the two head out of the store and head home. Arriving at a corner they wait for the light to change so they can cross the street to the car that is waiting to pick them up. A case of theft: this story is not rightfully on Amazon; if you spot it, report the violation. A cargo truck was driving down the road at 55 kmh and a freak accident happened. The cargo truck was driving just fine then suddenly the front right wheel popped off the truck. The driver loses control of the vehicle, and the truck veers to the right coming directly towards the siblings. James thinking nothing other than to save his sister from the impending doom that is approaching them. He threw the supplies aside and push Lily away from the incoming cargo truck. *crunch* *splat* A loud crash along with the noise of bones being crushed can be heard. People around starting screaming and pointing at the tragedy that is in front of them. Blood is splatter on the hood of the truck and around the pole where James and the truck end up hitting. James can feel immense pain and heat from his body. He can hear his sister yelling at him, trying to keep him with her. Using the last of his strength he told her "It is. . .not . your . . fault little sis. I think . . this is. . . . too random to be . . accident. . . find out . . who did it. . . pl . . ea. . .se. . . . ." *exhale* (Insert illustration of him getting crush by truck to a pole) His last glimpse of consciousness he hears Lily vow to find out who did this. His soul smiled on the inside and he thought to himself - I saved my sister from doom and there is still another boy in family to become heir. Life is gonna be fine. - Prologue 1.5: (the wretched half mother) There was much blood soaked gore, she could not unseen the events that happened today. Articles of clothing and supplies are all around her, a shoe here, a finger there, an eye lay next to her. Lily is covered in blood, streaks of blood appears on her clothes. The driver of the vehicle was thrown out of the cargo truck, he flung out due to the impact smash through the windshield and onto the wall behind the siblings. The body smashed on the wall, an eye popped out of the head and lies near Lily. The wall permanently dyed red from the blood of the truck driver. The ribs of the truck driver is impaled into the wall like skewers leaving him attached to the wall. His head is broken and bent back, the head is facing Lily. Brain matter is splattered all over the place, the back of his head gave into the pressure of being ejected into a solid wall of stone. The result was an outward spray of brain goop and blood. This blood along with other stuff splattered on Lily. (Insert illustration of truck driver scene) Lily kept calm during this, the only thing keeping her sane at the moment is the promise she made towards her brother. To find the one behind this she needs her mind to be intact. Their personal driver called Garry Lin and informed him about the situation that occurred. It is his obligation to keep the president updated on matters concerning his family. If things goes well he won¡¯t lose his job, the situation was out of his control. There was absolutely nothing he could do about the truck and unforeseen events. The driver was hired as a body guard/chauffeur for the siblings. Garry ¨C ¡°I will make a call to the head of the police task force so they can release my daughter. When she is released bring her home. Thank you for your hard work.¡± (Insert illustration of police force driving up) The police arrived, the area was quarantined off with tape. The ambulance arrives to check up on the poor girl seeing if she needs any medical attention. She did not respond to medics she just stared at the corpse of her brother. After confirming that the blood on the girl is not her own, the team of medics did their best to clean the blood from her face and limbs. A team of forensics and detectives arrived at the scene, they were busy taking photos of the site. Photos of position of bodies, skid marks, body parts, bodily fluids, parts of truck, and debris. The police was asking around for witness accounts of the event and they slowly worked to get separate the bodies from their entanglements. Lily was trembling as her brother body was unmangled from the hood of the car. The detective took samples from the bodies to test for drugs and other anomalies. The medics took out 2 body bags to move the bodies to the morgue so that the coroner can do an in-depth examination on the corpses. The corpses needs to be prepared and stitched up after examination so it can be presentable for funeral. Detective ¨C ¡°The girl is free to go, chief said she has enough trauma for the day. Taking her to police station for questioning would be a bad idea.¡± (Insert illustration of detectives in background taking samples) Lily is crying in the arms of her father, President Garry Lin, she terrified over the fact that she saw her own brother right before her eyes get crushed by a truck. Lily - ¡°Daddy, brother said that the whole situation is fishy, something or someone is behind all of this¡± Garry - ¡°I will find out who did this to my heir, why would something like this happen? Let me make a few calls to get some people to investigate this.¡± Lily - ¡°Okay daddy, is my little brother John okay?¡± Garry - ¡°No, he is not, John is in the hospital due to second degree burns.¡± Lily - ¡°Daddy I think someone is trying to kill off my sisters and brothers.¡± Garry - ¡°That could be true, we need to get some evidence so we can use it in court.¡± Garry thought to himself ¨C what can be done, there is someone that is seriously going after my legitimate children ¨C Garry - ¡°May God help us all¡± Garry spends the next few hours looking at old paper work trying to find clues to who or what might be the culprit behind these attacks. He thought to himself ¨C I might need to contact a few friends from the defense department, the military, and the police to get them to help me on this. Without resolving this issue his precious daughter might become a damaged person. I won¡¯t let my daughter sink into misery and destruction, I will find out who it is and get justice for what has been done to my family. I swear an oath to my forefathers that I will seek the destruction of whoever and whatever did this to my family. ¨C (Insert illustration of Garry looking over gold paper work and files) Officer Yang - ¡°We got the report back sire, here is the file with the information about the 2 incidents that involved your three children.¡± Garry - ¡°Thank you Hei Sao, tell your captain I will be in touch if I need anything.¡± Officer Yang turns around to leave the private home of Mr. Lin, watching Hei Sao leave Garry turn towards the sacks of files and documents. Flipping through the contents he notices one name that keeps coming up, Samantha Greens, she was this fling that he had when he went to America for university to get his masters in fabrication. She someone had been stalking him and his family for 15 years, things went sour when she stabbed his professor because she was not appreciating Garry¡¯s hard work in class. After that he cut off relations with her and transferred to a university China. Apparently based on the file she was the main suspect for the incident with his mother and brother. She was the culprit behind the death of James¡¯s grandmother and uncle. Garry ponders how he should act next, how will he get her red handed and out of his life forever. Samantha had a child out of wedlock with Garry, she accused him for the death of their child. She blamed him for leaving her and that resulted in abuse of the child. Long story short she is one crazy sadistic person that Garry is glad he got away from her before the relationship resulted in his death. Garry think he has a plan to lure out Samantha and to catch her in the act of trying to do something evil. For this plan to work he can¡¯t tell his children about it, he have to leave one of them vulnerable for Samantha to take the bait. Much planning needs to be done before a solution is found. Garry sat down and start drafting plans to account for many variables in capturing Samantha and bringing her to justice. After he finished drafting plans he send the files to the chief of police and military personnel that he has connections with. He asked them to look the plans over and add insight to correct any flaws. (Insert illustration of Garry with an evil plotting face) Garry - ¡°Are the plans in place?¡± Servant - ¡°Yes, all the pieces are ready for next two weeks when she should strike.¡± Garry - ¡°Excellent we shall get this sicko and bring her to justice for what she done. People like her are menace to society.¡± Lily went to Junan hospital in Fuzhou to pick up her brother. Today is the day that he is released from the hospital for his broken bones from the accident near buildings. Lily goes in to a building with brother to talk about the events that occurred within the past few weeks. Lily - ¡°So brother did you have any ideas how that metal beam fell on you? It seems like the rope was cut or the chains broke¡­¡± John - ¡°it seems so, hopefully things will be fine, and how was the funeral?¡± Lily - ¡°I missed James terribly, I wish that truck did not hit us. I paid a visit to each and every professor that had wronged Garry. I used my power and persuasive fist to convince the professors to give Garry better grades. In the end it didn''t work out, the professors got Garry expelled from the university stating that bodily harm was intent and caused by him.¡± John ¨C ¡°So what is the reason that you hate him so much? After giving birth to the baby I was depressed and I neglected the baby. The baby died from abusive neglect, I was distraught from the recent events. I blame Garry for the death of our baby, and I blame him for leaving me alone to defend for myself.¡± ¡°My shiny knight in armor is gone, just poof, I wanted to get back at him. So I went on searching for clues about his residence in China. Three years it took, in that time I found out that he was married and had a child. I vow to take the lives of all his children to get revenge for what he did to our baby. As time pass, he had affairs with other females and produced bastards. These females that he had affairs with all they want is his money and shares to his tech company. These bitches are not worth the air Garry breaths in. The worse ones I end up killing and hiding their bodies, this way it saves Garry the trouble of dealing with them later on. I never said I hated him, I just want to avenge the death of our baby. The Kingdom State of Tan is an industrial powerhouse of high quality iron weapons and armor, no kingdom state can uphold the same quality of goods that is produced here. Other kingdom does not want to anger the country, bad relations will result in loss of trade rights. The kingdom need these superb quality war goods to have a clear edge over enemies. Without these they will be on equal footing with other countries. Other kingdom states are using bronze and crude iron weapons and armor for their armies. The kingdom of Tan is using superior quality iron and early grade steel for their own military. When comparing bronze and iron to steel it is somewhat like comparing a flower to a cleaver. Would you try to stab someone with a flower in hopes of killing them? The secret for the kingdom of Tan¡¯s monopoly on war goods is the source of carbon when smelting the iron ores. Highly pure iron is very soft and is not useable to make weaponry and armor. To fix this carbon needs to be added to harden the iron. The key to high quality iron ingots is the amount of carbon infused into the iron ores as they melt. The right amount of carbon to make the perfect ingot of iron takes a lot of careful measurements, patience, and ability. Iron ores by definition has many impurities: other metals, materials, and rocks. These impurities makes iron very brittle and this results in iron snapping and breaking. To remove these impurities the iron needs to be completely melted, iron has a high melting point of 1500 degrees Celsius. Other impurities would melt and float to the top of the molten liquid, thus can be removed by cutting it off when the liquid hardens. Iron weapons without impurities and with the correct amount of carbon would be stronger, and more durable, this in turn can withstand forces from other blades and not break. To make the best iron the temperature of the furnace must be right, it needs to be 2800 degrees Fahrenheit, and to reach these temperatures lots of coal must be used. Charcoal would be used as carbon source for the iron, there is not enough charcoal to be substitute for coal as a fuel source to heat up the iron. The charcoal will be absorbed into the iron. Current blacksmith technology is not advance enough for temperatures in the furnace to reach 1500 degrees Celsius, current technology temperatures can reach 1300 degree Celsius at optimal levels. (insert pictures of money) While royal blacksmiths were fiddling with charcoal and iron ore combination they stumbled upon early grade steel. This invention of steel weaponry and steel scale armor is revolutionary at the time period. Steel manufacturing is exclusive to royal blacksmiths, blacksmiths outside of the capital have no access to knowledge or techniques to reproduce steel. This steel that is produce is low quality, and not very flexible. However just having steel alone is a huge upgrade from iron, the massive increase in the cutting edge, the durability, and impact makes it a worthwhile investment. Other kingdoms been using wood as a fuel and source of carbon for their iron and bronze items, wood does not hold as much energy has the source that Tan kingdom uses. Tan kingdom uses coal for all it smelting activities, since they rely on coal so much any new veins of coal the founder will be rewarded 2 teals of silver. 1 teal of silver is worth about 1000 copper coins, 1 teal of gold is worth about 200 teals of silver. Furthermore 1 teal of silver can be broken into pieces and used as currency in terms of weight, the value of the money is determine by weight when compared to 1 teal of silver. 1 copper coin can buy 3 pieces of bread, or 1 bushel of veggies, or 3 eggs, or half a bowl of rice. Miners at these coal mining towns are valued for their work that they contribute to extracting coal, due to their values they get a monthly stipend of 20 copper coins. In the past 50 years the kingdom of Tan is slowly upgrading its military presence in the country. Turmoil and war has started to grow and fester in this continent. Kingdom states are fighting each other. It is a war for land and dominance, most of the time the reasons of war are for petty conflicts. Other times it is due to jealously and the desire to take the women, goods, resources, and infrastructure of other kingdoms. When the Prince¡¯s grandfather died his tomb there was about 300 people accompanied him to the afterlife. Four concubines, sixty servants, two prime ministers, twenty five soldiers, five body guards, ninety craftsmen/workers, and other influential people that he liked were buried alive next to his coffin. Some of these human sacrifices choose to commit suicide via drinking cyanide infused wine, others refused to die. These people that refused to die were murdered and then stuffed into the coffins. Each person that was chosen to accompany the late king to the afterlife was given his/her own personal coffin. Each person was numbered and placed into a coffin that corresponds to that number. The few arrows that will penetrate the boar will weaken the boar so the Princes will have an easier time. Each Prince will have a group people to assist with this task. The winner will have boar penis soup tonight, and their entourage will have boar meat for dinner tonight. The archers will consume the heart, liver, kidney, and eye of the boar with rice on the site. The archers gets dibs on organs because they ¡°hunted¡± the animal and these organs don¡¯t stay fresh very long. Plus they are packed with nutrients and vitamins. The boar is presumed to be in his lair in the middle portion of the forest. So all party members except cavalry unmounts their horses. The plan is that Feizi Hei Tan will approach from the west, Jiang Hu Tan from the north, Fu Sei Tan from the east, and heavy infantry from the south. They will effectively box the boar in. when they approached the site, they noticed that there are other smaller boars, adolescent white tusk boar. Feizi Hei Tan got one of the soldiers to wave a flag to signal change of plans. Whoever kills the most boars win? Coming from all directions volley after volley of arrows rain down on the boars. Squealing from pain the boars blindly rush in the direction of the incoming arrows. 3 boars charge to the west, 2 boars to the east, and 1 boar to the north. He stepped aside and then trust his spear into the side of the boar, the spear got stuck. The boar being not mortally wounded swiped his tusk at Feizi Hei. He brought up his shield to block the attack, succeeded but he got knocked back a few feet. ¡°Protect the prince!!!!!¡± yelled soldiers as they rush into front to become meat shields. He motion one of the soldiers to give him another spear. Feizi Hei charged at the boar again, he dodge to the right and stab the boar in the shoulder, slicing off a bit of hide and meat off the boar. He rolled as the boar charged at him again. The boar trust her tusk upward to impale the human. Feizi Hei stabbed his spear in an arch to the head region of the boar. The spear struck the neck of the boar, the handle of the spear broke, and he grabs another spear. The boar is slowing down due to blood loss from injuries inflicted by arrows and spears. Feizi Hei walks up to the boar, he aims for the area of the boar that is right under the front leg. If the spear pierce the ribs it will stab the heart and will kill the boar. Success he delivered the killing blow, the boar with its dying twitches swiped at the Prince. The Prince being too happy did not dodge in time, the boar cut a gash on his leg. The wound was superficial. ¡°I did it I killed the mother white tusk boar!!!¡± he screamed. After cheering and celebrating a little bit. Feizi Hei went to check on his brothers. He found out that Jiang Hu was standing on top of the corpses of two boars. Jiang Hu was proudly displaying his trophy kill the boar head that he severed from one of the bigger boar. Fu Sei came out of the woods dragging the corpse of the boar he killed. In total the brothers killed 4 boars. Feizi Hei apologized to his brothers ¡°Two of the boars escaped I have my cavalry chase them down, let¡¯s go end the lives of these monsters.¡± ¡°Help!!!!! Assassins!!!¡± accompanied by a high pitch scream. The three Princes rushed to the source of the screams. A girl in noble clothing around the age of 13 was running from 30 assassins in red outfits. All of them waving iron swords, trying to catch up to her to end her life. The personnel of the Prince¡¯s army charged at the assassins. The assassins iron swords broke in pieces when it encounter low grade steel swords and maces. The group killed 26 assassins and knocked out 4 of them. The four knocked out assassins were tied up and gagged. Feizi Hei looked at the noble girl, she was not wearing clothing that was from this region. Her clothing was unfamiliar yet very nice looking. She is definitely not from the kingdom of Tan he observed. ¡°Dear lady, why are these men chasing you?¡± He asked The lady replied ¡°I need help, these men ambushed my carriage while I was going to visit my grandmother. They killed all my soldiers, bodyguards, and attendants. My people distracted them long enough for me to escape from them to run for help. Please help me I want to return home.¡± ¡°First introduce yourself, who are you? Where do you need help to go?¡± asked Feizi Hei. ¡°My name is Hua Xing Wu, I am the 8th princess of the kingdom state of Wu. It is principle, help those in need, situation gets out of hand help them get out of it. The Crown Prince gave her some scale armor and a sergeant helmet disguising her as a male. Then he placed a mannequin with her outfit in the carriage. This should be good disguise he thought. ¡°Well, let¡¯s get a move on, we don¡¯t want to stay standing in this area like a bunch of donkeys.¡± Said Hua Xing Wu. ¡°Agreed, let¡¯s move out.¡± Feizei tan said. The Princes got on their mounts and a mount was given to Hua Xing and she mounted her horse. The group heads south east towards ravine of Motra. Pit of Motra is a sacred place that descendants of Langcardia go to on religious pilgrimages. It also house a bottomless pit of despair. It serves as a religious icon but in the past criminals were brought here and kicked off. This place is an executional proving ground. Criminals were given a choice: execution by blade or trial of luck in the Ravine of Motra. There are countless holes and pathways in this pit, there seems to be only one way in. but the pathway out is deceptive and hidden. There are countless treasures hidden within the pit. There are enlighten entities in these holes that would take on disciples before ascending. There are many more holes with just monsters and demons. Only criminals and unfortunate are allowed in here. The kingdom states of Langcardia dare not to raid the pit because it is overseen and run by the divine. Dragons and other divine beast in human form patrol the checkpoints and guard the pit. Their duty is to protect the place from looters and to keep order around the pit. First there is a ravine that leads deep into the pit. These divine beast are not responsible for the outcome of personal vendettas, this place is neutral ground. Any battles that do occur they must let it play out because they must not interfere in the affairs of mortals. If these battles endanger the holy site the combatants will be wiped out. In general fighting here is discouraged. This place is also a prison for many high ranked entities like Sun Wu Kong (monkey king), trouble makers are kept here to prevent disturbance in the mortal and divine realms. This place holds great value to all clans and kingdoms. The grave plaque of ancestors are placed here and are prayed to for guidance and prosperity. Each clan have its own room to store their ancestors grave plaque in the temple of Motra, this way no rival clans will dare attack other plaques. This place is run by holy monks of lesser ranked saints. Some figures go into the pit of Motra for training, but they have to get approval from the divine beings. There are monsters in the pit to test and kill criminals. But based on certain situation or severity of crime different types of monsters will come face the criminals. This place is in the center of the country each major kingdom has a border that leads to this Ravine. Therefore this place is the best area to drop off the princess but also dangerous if enemies set up an ambush. The princes plan on offering pieces of their hunt to ancestors as a token of respect. The group along with 215 soldiers and 25 wound approach the first road check. Divine beast Sun Yun of the Loin turtle clan greets them. ¡°What doth the clan tan has with the temple of Motra?¡± ¡°Great inspector Sun Yun we were on a boar subjugation task from our father. We came along assassin from kingdom state Zhou chasing the Princess of Wu. We killed the assassin and are now on a quest to return her to her country. The carriage is rattled with arrows. ¡°Ha the whore is dead, now deal with these rats, attack everyone!¡± yells Re Han the red. A second volley of jatalindo rain down on the group, piercing shields and body armor, screams can be heard amongst the ranks of soldiers. ¡°Infantry advance, horse archers flank enemy archers, shocka Calvary flank 35 degrees east, archers rain death on enemies, and servants provide support. Ready and out.¡± Commanded Feizei. The skirmish phase of the battle has started, heavy infantry and medium infantry slowly advanced with shields raised up towards the assassins. Horse archer troops were wiped out my ten volleys of repeating crossbow. The shocka Calvary trampled the range corp from the death trope. Metal clash and clank as the infantry met the assassin in close quarter combat. Archers continue raining arrows down on the assassins. Throats of the soldiers were being cut open while assassins get stabbed by uniform trust of spears followed by slash of swords. Assassins started to move around flanking the position and backstabbing the infantry. Archers were sniping at the backs of the flanking assassins. The Calvary started to charge the assassins but their horses cartwheel flipped, some buckled and skid on the floor due to anti horse traps placed down by assassins. The remaining shocka Calvary plumbed the assassins. The force of the charge flung assassins backwards and into the walls, crushing the assassins. The result of the first engagement is that half of the troops of tan died or was wounded, while only 25% of the assassins perished. The second clash was under way. The depleted shocka Calvary dismounted and joined the infantry. The assassin sent give experts to deal with the Crown Prince. The 3rd and 7th Prince join the battle while the Crown Prince stayed behind protecting the Princess. ¡°Kill the Crown Prince, but show respect and attack without dishonor. Vengeful spirits of the dead will not be upon us.¡± Ordered the leader of the detachment of assassins. The detachment of assassins slashed their way thru the personal bodyguards of the Crown Prince. One assassin crumble as a spear ran through his innards, then a sword decapitated him. Another assassin went down when she got impaled by a spear, a spear was trust upward from under here piercing her vagina and spear head came out of her mouth. Going through her intestines, stomach, esophagus, and finally out of the mouth. She died standing up leaning on the butt of the spear for support. The three remaining assassins pushed forward as the Crown Prince, the Princess and personal bodyguards slowly retreat. As the assassin push the group back, the group slowly approach the edge of the ravine. Another assassin fell, shield bashed left him dazed and down as the shield rim is brought down crushing his windpipes. The remaining two assassins picked up shields from fallen guards and bum rushed the Crown Prince¡¯s troops and pushed them off the ledge. The Crown Prince and the Princess of Wu hugged each other in fright as they fell deeper into the Ravine. The personal bodyguards, 50 down to 10 surrounds the Prince and Princess. These guards will defend the Prince as they fall down from the assassins. The two assassins started throwing projectiles at the group, hoping to score a lucky hit. ¡°Elder Brother!!! We will find you, stay safe!!!!¡± yelled the brothers. Sound of retreat is heard from the death trope. ¡°We accomplished our deed, now let¡¯s retreat and report back to the king.¡± Assassins rejoiced. Third and seventh Prince of Tan hastily decided to return to father and report to him on the treachery of the kingdom of Zhou. With the remaining 41 personal they rushed back to the capital. A group of servants rushed to the temple to return the seal and to place the white tusk boar parts on the family alter.
