《RedHawk》 Prologue: Accident It was a dark and rainy night, the perfect setting for a bad incident or a scary movie. A young man named Steven Redford made his way down the street with just a school bag and a large case on his back. He looked like a total ladies man, he wasn''t the best looking person but he could win the #1 Average Looks competition. He has semi-long brown hair and a pair of hazel eyes, a better then average physique and stood at 5 feet 9 inches. Just an all around perfectly average male individual, just minding his own business while walking down the street. As some strange luck would have it as he was crossing the street a random high speeding truck would come rushing right into him. He turned slightly and the case on his back took the full brunt of the hit and a cracking sound came from within the case. Steven was flown through the air and collided with a parked car and fell unconscious, which was lucky for him. Steven drifted around the black void of his unconscious mind before waking up in a hospital bed with his mom sleeping next to him. He remembered about the accident but was unable to talk because of the drugs and a long tube that went down his throat. He tried to move his hand to at least wake his mom up but was unable to, at first he thought it was just the drugs but that wasn''t it. His heart rate was increasing along with the beeping monitor which started to burn the drugs away quicker. He tried moving his hands again, No Response, he then tried his legs, No Response, the machine beeped faster and faster and Steven let out a muffled scream which woke his mother up. She quickly hugged him and pressed the emergency button and just held on to Steven and kept telling him to calm down. A nurse came rushing in and injected Steven with something, he couldn''t even feel the needle pierce his skin. Suddenly he grew drowsy and fell asleep again. That night he was at the school building late at night practicing. Steven had taken up Archery when he was young boy, only 10 years old but it grew on him and he loved it. His parents were usually busy with work, leaving him to do whatever he wanted. He had been practicing for the Nationals Competition that takes place at the end of every year. He practiced day and night for hours upon hours but he loved it, the way the bow felt, when he would draw it, the power that released through him as the arrow flew to his target. Nothing made him happier then Archery but now he couldn''t do that anymore and he knew it but of course nothing is final until the doctor says so. Steven awoke, the sun shining through the window lighting up his entire room. He no longer had the tube down his throat which was nice, his mother was nowhere to be seen but that was okay he wouldn''t know what to say. He once again reaffirmed himself that he could not move his body, he didn''t scream or cry, he just stayed there silently staring at the ceiling. The door to his room opened and in came 4 people, a doctor in his white coat, a nurse in her outfit, his mother, and a tall man in a business suit. His mom took a seat right next to him and grabbed his hand before nodding to the doctor. The doctor then coughed and began speaking. "Hello Steven, I am Dr.Blake it is a pleasure to meet you. As you know you were involved in an accident and I''m sure you noticed already but the accident has rendered your body from the neck down inactive. There is good news though Steven, if we act properly there is a chance to regain the use of your upper body." This tale has been unlawfully lifted from Royal Road. If you spot it on Amazon, please report it. Steven''s mood went down when the doctor told him he was paralyzed but then being told that he could regain his upper body functions turned his mood around. Seeing the mood change of Steven the doctor then waved over to the man in the business suit who then began to talk. "Hello Steven, I am George Felix and the truck that hit you was one that I own and I apologize to you although I know that won''t be enough for you to forgive me. That is why I have come here in person to offer you an opportunity." His throat was dry and could barely speak but he managed to squeak out a couple words. "Go.......on." It hurt to speak but if that was all my body could do for the time being then I''m gonna talk. "The opportunity I wish to present you with is a chance to play a new game that my company has developed. I know you''re thinking how can I play a game with no hands or feet and the answer is simple, with your mind. It is a new Virtual Reality game that will revolutionize the world, it is still being developed we have hopes for it to begin testing soon. I want you to be apart of that test and to play it even afterwards." This was very intriguing for Steven, a whole new world would be available to him. "Tell....me....more" he managed to say. A smile shown brightly on George''s face before he continued, "It is called Flow, a world of monsters, magic and weaponry. I have been told that you are a fan of the bow, well in there it will feel about as real as it can get. It sports a 98% realism but the other 2% is mainly for pain reduction and other smaller details." Steven could barely contain his excitement upon hearing this, first because he never played that many games and the main reason is that he could move. Even though Steven had not made a huge fuss about it, being paralyzed was uncomfortable and if he could escape that then sign him up. "I...Want...To....Play." With those words they all smiled and the meeting came to an end. 6 months came and went, Steven had now regained movement in 2 fingers which was great but still not enough. It was also the day that he would be getting his new gaming device so he can play flow. It was a fairly simple looking helmet it didn''t look like a huge piece of equipment and only had a few cords. It was sleek and Red which looked great, Steven was overjoyed with it. His nurse came in, Roger Smith, he has been taking care of Steven for the past 6 months. "Hey there Steven, so that''s your Flow Helmet, cool color. You ready for me to hook you up?" "Of course!" Steven and Roger got along well, as if they were brothers. Roger finished hooking up the last of the cables and turned it on while saying his last words before Steven slipped into the game. "Have Fun!" With those words he entered the Flow. Chapter 1:RedHawk [New User Detected] [Initiating Character Creation] [Loading....] [Please choose your Race.] [The Races available are Humans, Wood Elves, High Elves, Rockskin Dwarf, Dark Dwarf, and Beast-Man.] Before Steven appeared different mirrors and each one reflected his body in a different race. Thinking over the races to choose from was tough for young Steven. Humans were the perfectly balanced race which had no weaknesses but also no strengths. Elves were split between Wood Elves who were naturally gifted with skill in the bow, this choice suited him most but Steven was not a fan of the male elves ''feminine'' appearance. High Elves were elves that possessed a high aptitude for magic making them into formidable mages which was not the calling for Steven. Rockskin Dwarfs were natural built tanks with a hardened skin and great strength. Dark Dwarfs have the highest potential for magic within the dwarf race, they are not as powerful as a High Elf but they have a naturally higher defense making them last longer in a fight. Lastly was the Beast-Man, there is a wide range of Beasts to choose from that will all change the way you play, the Beast-man race would be the most creative race to play. "Human" Steven was torn between the balanced Human race and the Unique Beast-man race but in the end balance won, plus he wouldn''t have to get used to a new body. [Do you wish to alter your appearance?] [Please choose your Class.] [The Starting Classes available are Warrior, Archer, Thief, Mage, and Priest.] The Warrior Class is versatile in Melee Combat including Swords, Spears, Axes, and Maces. The Archer Class is versatile in Ranged Combat including Bows, Thrown Weapons, and Siege Weaponry. The Thief Class is versatile in Stealth Combat including Daggers, Poisons, and Traps. The Mage class is versatile in Magical Combat including Spells and Enchantments. The Priest Class is versatile in Holy Combat including Healing and Buffs. "Archer" This was the obvious choice for young Steven. [Please Choose You Spawn Point] A map appeared in front of Steven with several dots lit up, none of them appeared to be a major city so there wasn''t much to debate about. "Random" [Please choose your Name] Steven went into a deep thought for a couple minutes before coming up with his decision. "RedHawk" It was a silly nickname that his friends in the Archery Club had given him, with his last name ''Red''ford and his great precision that was like a ''Hawk''. Steven laughed a little bit thinking about how he hated that name at first because it made him embarrassed but now he felt some pride in it. [This concludes your Character Creation] [Please Enjoy Your Time In Flow] A light enveloped Steven and sent him on his way to his starting village. He could feel the wind pass through his hair and the sun light warm against his skin. The sky before his was a vibrant blue and the skies filled with clouds of pure white. Taking in a deep breath he then shouted out "This is amazing!". He was unaware of his surroundings as he shouted and drew the attention of all the players and NPC''s in the vicinity. They all gave him funny looks and laughed out loud while some people started whispering quietly, his face turned a bright red from embarrassment. It took a minute before everyone started moving along with what they wanted to do. Steven was now ready to get a move on as well but first he had to check what he was made of. "Status" [RedHawk] (Archer) Level: 01 Agility: 10 Dexterity: 10 Vitality: 10 Damage: 6-8 Defense: 1 Health: 100/100 Energy: 100/100 Luck: 0 Archers lose there ability to use mana and instead gain Energy. For Archers the most important stat is Agility as it increases damage. Dexterity increases your accuracy allowing for more pinpoint shots and increased critical chance rate. Vitality increases Health which is useful for every class to make you live longer. Energy is used for attacks in place of mana only that Energy refills quickly in battle where mana does not. Lastly Luck increases drop rate, higher luck allows you to hit within the upper tier of your damage. "Equipment" [Worn Recurve Bow] (Common) Damage: 3-4 Durability: 20/20 -A bow that has clearly been used over many years, a perfect weapon for a beginner adventurer. The item ranks in Flow are Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic, Legendary, Mythic, and Divine. Steven looked at his bow as that was his only piece of equipment since his shirt, pants and slippers were all the default clothes that are there so you aren''t naked. The first thing to do was test out his bow so he went to a nearby training ground where there was a few scarecrows set up. He stood before the target and nocked the arrow and drew it back. The bow was just as described, worn, it wasn''t bad though it just needed some attention. He aimed for the chest of the scarecrow, his eyes sharpened and his breathing relaxed, he then released his shot. The feeling of the arrow leaving the bow and all the energy flowing around his body and the sound of the arrow ripping through the air before finally hitting the target. This is the number one thing that Steven had missed in his past 6 months in the hospital and although unaware at that time a tear rolled down his face. He retrieved the arrow from the scarecrows chest and put it back in his quiver before taking his first steps from the village. Upon leaving he was struck with a message. [Thank you for participating in this Beta Test, for the duration of the test the usual death penalty has been removed so please feel free to adventure.] The Death Penalty-Upon death you are ejected from the game for 1 hour and lose level and skill experience. Steven looked around and noticed a stone tablet next to the village gate and upon inspection another window appeared before him. This story originates from a different website. Ensure the author gets the support they deserve by reading it there. [Silverleaf Village] -Silverleaf Village was founded only 1 decade ago by a traveling caravan that decided to settle down. Originally no more than 20 people have now risen to 100 in this small village due to others settling here. This village is surrounded by weaker monsters making life peaceful and helps in the growth of young adventurers. He found this quite interesting as it seems that every place you visit has its own story which means that there is just that much more to explore. With a small laugh at the numerous adventures ahead he turned around and walked toward the field of monsters. [Silver Fur Rabbit] (Common) Level: 1 Damage: 1-3 Defense: 2 Health: 50 Skills: [Power Jump] -Silver Fur Rabbits are indigenous only to the surrounding area of Silverleaf Village, generally the weakest animal in the area but when pushed into a corner is not afraid to fight back. [Wild Dog] (Common) Level: 2 Damage: 3-4 Defense: 3 Health: 80 Skills: [Fierce Bite] -Wild Dogs can be found in general in the wild, they go wherever there lost minds guide them. Preys upon small critter as they are the easiest for them to kill. [Red Fox] (Common) Level: 3 Damage: 4-7 Defense: 5 Health: 100 Skills: [Swipe] -Red Foxes are cunning and have great senses which allow them a natural battle sense. Monsters have the same rankings as items except there are also (Elite), (Boss), and (Raid) monsters. The field was littered with many monsters and other players. The Beta Test allowed a total of 1000 people in and there was 10 different starting locations so on average there should be 100 players per area. There were Warriors swinging around a Swords and Mages with a staff and a Mana Ball in their hand. You could also see a Thief or two sneaking around and attacking an unsuspecting monster, followed by a Priest that would envelop someone in a white light to heal them. Everyone was very eager to play and Steven couldn''t blame them, he was excited as well but his class was not meant for frontal confrontation. He also couldn''t very well hunt effectively in this mass crowd of people that were scurrying all over the place killing every rabbit that spawned. He made his way around the village and found a spot that was free of players and filled with rabbits. Steven found his first target around 30 yards away, he focused and pulled his arrow back as far as he could and released. The arrow whizzed through the air and in an instant the sound of the arrow piercing the flesh of the rabbit was followed by a loud squeak from the rabbit. -12 The rabbit had an arrow in its side but quickly shook it off and headed toward RedHawk. It didn''t have a lot of speed but was still quick but in the time it got to Steven he had hit the rabbit 2 more times. The rabbit was weakened but not dead so it let loose its [Power Jump] skill, the small rabbits legs bulged and shot right it into his chest revealing a damage number. -8 The rabbit was soft but his super headbutt did some major damage, this revealed the main flaw in being an Archer. Once an enemy clears the distance to you, you become unable to fight back and will die. Steven quickly pulled an arrow from his quiver and stabbed it into the rabbit and it would then hit him with [Power Jump] again. Finally after stabbing 3 arrows into the rabbit and taking a third [Power Jump] it died. As the last of its life faded away it let out a dying cry before a message appeared in front of Steven with his rewards. [Silver Fur Rabbit has dropped 1 Rabbit Meat and 1 Silver Rabbit Fur] [Rabbit Meat] (Common) -Rabbit meat that can be cooked or sold. [Silver Rabbit Fur] (Common) -Fur that can be sold for a small price. Steven accepted the loot and retrieved his arrows from the dead rabbit then started to think of how to fix his problem. The quickest way to fix this is to move while shooting but the problem is that he never practiced that. Steven usually shot targets that were stationary or moved toward or away from him but to shoot while moving was difficult and new. Steven got up and put his first plan into action by picking out a rabbit and letting his first shot go. The rabbit was hit and started rushing over to Steven who was slowly pacing backwards while nocking his next arrow. His first shot missed which was less then stellar for him but his second shot hit. He once again received a super headbutt thanks to [Power Jump] but then returned by stabbing arrows into the rabbit until it turned into a porcupine. Steven sat down on the grass to recover his health since he got hit 4 times by [Power Jump] making him lose 30% of his health. After resting for a few minutes he was ready to go again, picking out a rabbit and turning it into a porcupine. An hour passed and his skill was improving he could now slowly creep backwards while firing which was great. The rabbits were still able to use [Power Jump] twice on him before dying which was a sign of improvement. Finally after another 10 minutes his speed increased more and he was able to kill a rabbit without being hit anymore and then a couple messages appeared before him. [It takes great skill to fire while moving. +1 Dexterity] [You have learned the skill: Hunters Walk] [Hunters Walk] (Active) (Beginner) (Level 1) -The ability to move while shooting is a must have when hunting dangerous animals alone. -Movement speed reduced by 90% but allows the use of a bow while moving. "Awesome!" Steven shouted into the air as he received his rewards. He had learned a very useful skill and a Dexterity point on top of that. With this new skill the Silver Fur Rabbits better beware for they will soon meet their maker. Chapter 2: Shining Silver Rabbit Steven had been rushing through killing rabbit after rabbit while employing the use of [Hunters Walk] for hours upon hours. When he left Silverleaf Village the sun had just come up and now the sun was about to set behind the mountains and started turning the white clouds orange. He once more picked out a rabbit and walked backwards faster then before and after killing it received a couple messages. [Hunters Walk is now level 3] [You have received the title: Beast Hunter] [You have received the sub-title: Rabbit Hunter] [Hunters Walk] (Active) (Beginner) (Level 3) -The ability to move while shooting is a must have when hunting dangerous animals alone. -Movement speed reduced by 80% but allows the use of a bow while moving. [Beast Hunter] -A Beast Hunter is one who hunts beasts through extreme skill and deduction. -Titles gained related to Beasts will be added under the Beast Hunter Title. [Rabbit Hunter] -You have become proficient in the way of rabbit hunting. Hunting is not something achieved by a group but by an individual. -10% increase in damage done against Rabbits. -10% decrease in damage done to you by Rabbits. Steven laughed loudly into the orange sky as he came to the realization of how many rabbits had fallen victim to him and that he had spent the whole day killing them. He looked in his bag and saw 999 Silver Rabbit Furs and Meats, he could only achieve this thanks to a neat trick he learned. [Status Effect] -A condition that can be helpful or harmful depending on the effect. Hours ago when the sun hung perfectly above his head and the rabbits still ran around in a plentiful amount, Steven sat down to think of other ways to increase his effectiveness. All he had was a bow and his [Hunters Walk] but that would not be enough later on so he started thinking and thinking. He eventually landed on the idea of trying to injure his opponent from afar before they have a chance to get in close, it was great in theory but he still had to put it into use. Steven once again picked out a poor little rabbit that would soon meet the digital reaper. He placed an arrow on his bow and drew back, he used less power but aimed more carefully, he first went for a head shot. The arrow released and flew through the air and stuck itself firmly in the rabbits head revealing a critical hit. -19 Steven had gotten many critical hits as they appeared when struck in a vital area like the brain or the heart. This was not what he was looking for, although they would be killed quickly it wouldn''t help him in the future when he fought tougher targets like dogs or foxes. Steven moved on to the next the rabbit and drew back his bow and carefully aimed for its leg. -9 [Leg Crippled] [Leg Crippled] (Status Effect) [Target suffers 15% Movement Speed Reduction until the End of Battle.] Steven inwardly cheered and finished the rabbit off with a few well placed shots and didn''t even have to use the [Hunters Walk]. The new effect that appeared before Steven made his excitement spike and he let out a big cheer. The hours went on with him crippling the rabbits while using [Hunters Walk] which leads us back to where we started. Looking at the setting sun Steven realized that his exp bar was almost full at 99.9%, which was quite humorous. He was so obsessed with rabbit hunting that he hadn''t even leveled up. The rabbits gave terrible level experience but were great for practical training before moving on to Wild Dogs and Red Foxes. Steven took a deep breath and looked around for another rabbit, he searched high and low but was unable to find one. He had nearly resigned himself to try his luck against a Wild Dog when suddenly a pair of giant ears emerged from the ground. The giant ears were attached to a big head which led to a huge body and ended with 2 large legs. [Shining Silver Rabbit] (Elite) Level: 2 Damage: 6-9 Defense: 5 Health: 150 Skills: [Power Jump][Dash] -The Shining Silver Rabbit appears only when a Rabbit Hunter shows himself. Steven''s eyes widened at the sight of it as it was at least 3 times bigger then the other rabbits. Steven had luckily already backed away out of its range before it emerged from the ground. Reading over the description he realized that this monster before him was specially summoned for him thanks to his Rabbit Hunter title. There wasn''t anytime to mess up though, there was a strong prey in front of him and he was determined to kill it. Analyzing his new prey was easy since it was in all actuality just a bigger and stronger rabbit then the ones he had been fighting. The legs were the first weak point so he had to start the fight with a cripple or else he would be he would be in trouble. Since his target was bigger Steven was able to attack from a farther distance than usual. He chose to start off at 40 yards instead of the usual 30 yards, he nocked the arrow and drew it back while aiming at the large leg in front of him and released. Steven was able to put more strength into his shot since the target was bigger and sent it ripping through the wind and into the thick leg of the Shining Rabbit. This Rabbit was fierce and let out a loud shout that was halfway between a squeal and a roar. -10 [Leg Crippled] It turned toward Steven and stared him down for a second. Steven felt a surge of energy rush through him as he had never felt an actual threat since he got his skill [Hunters Walk]. Steven with a smile on his face had another arrow drawn back and ready to fire by the time the the Rabbit looked up. It took another full powered arrow to its face that caused a critical hit which was the second weakness on anything really. With another shout the Shining Rabbit activated [Dash] and started running towards Steven which surprised him. The cripple effect was invalidated at this point and it was faster than usual which caused Steven to sweat a bit. He didn''t falter though and started using [Hunters Walk] while shooting, letting off 2 high powered arrows at the Kings Head yet again. -19 -21 [Eye Blinded] [Eye Blinded] (Status Effect) [Target suffers 15% Accuracy Reduction until the End of Battle.] The second arrow had lodged itself into the right eye socket of the Rabbit and caused a new effect. It was quickly upon Steven and ready to attack, Steven had been hit by the [Power Jump] many times before so he knew what to expect. He quickly found the angle of the attack and jumped away from it lessening the damage and also giving him something unexpected. -23 [Knockback] [Knockback] (Battle Effect) [Target is sent backwards, distance varies depending on power.] Steven was effectively blown back 15 yards thanks to that powerful hit that took out more than a fifth of his health even after reducing the impact and the 10% decrease thanks to the Rabbit Hunter title. For most players this would be a huge setback but Steven only laughed in his mind as he was now able to shoot the Shining Rabbit again. Steven let an arrow fly right into the its head again dealing more damage and bringing it to 50% health. It''s Dash was over and his speed returned to normal with the 15% reduction allowing 1 more arrow to hit him. The Rabbit was soon upon Steven again and used [Power Jump] which was used to receive a [Knockback] that let the Shining Rabbit become impaled by 2 more arrows. The Shining Silver Rabbit was now down to the last of it''s health and started to wobble back and forth as if waiting for the end. Steven stared at the weakened Rabbit before him and drew his arrow back. He pulled the string as far as he could and then the arrowhead stated to get covered in a red glow. The arrow was released and shot through the air in an instant and stuck itself firmly in between the eyes of the Shining Silver Rabbit. The Shining Silver Rabbit fell to the ground with many arrows sticking into it''s head. The battle concluded and several messages appeared before the now tired Steven. [You have learned the skill: Aimed Shot] [You have displayed great accuracy while in a dire situation. +1 Dexterity.] [You are the 1st person to beat an Elite monster in single combat. +50 Fame, +1 Luck] [You have killed the Shining Silver Rabbit. +50 Fame] [You have leveled up] [Aimed Shot] (Active) (Beginner) (Level 1) -A shot aimed with true precision that can only be acquired through knowledge and excellent handling of the bow -200% damage when used against an unsuspecting prey. This story originates from a different website. Ensure the author gets the support they deserve by reading it there.-150% damage when used against a target that is aware of your presence. (Cost: 30 Energy) Steven had gained a few Dexterity points in his whole day of hunting for various reasons but now moving on to the good stuff. His new skill would be a very useful attack if used at the the start of a fight but of course the biggest gain was the Luck and Fame. Luck was a very mysterious stat that needed to be earned through special methods but was very useful as it increased drop rate of items and even allowed a higher chance of scoring more damage. Fame influenced your public appearance allowing for better quests and even discounts from certain people, if you have enough fame you may even meet royalty. Steven was almost ready to pass out from pure excitement but pulled himself back down since he had not yet looted the Shining Silver Rabbit before him. He approached the Rabbit and the loot window appeared before him in all its glory. [Silver Fur Boots] [Shining Silver Fur] [Shining Silver Rabbit Beast Soul] The loot before him was great and he couldn''t wait to inspect them. [Silver Fur Boots] (Uncommon) Defense: 5 Durability: 20/20 +5 Agility +5 Vitality -Boots made from Silver Fur that was crafted by an experienced tailor. Requirements: Level 2 Steven''s eyes widened at the sight of his glorious boots and immediately equipped them making him more powerful while his 10 stat points from leveling up were put into Agility. [Shining Silver Fur] (Uncommon) -A wonderful material that can be made into something great if used by a skilled tailor. This item has the potential to be turned into another piece of great gear which excited Steven yet again. It took a few moments for him to calm himself and find out about the mystery item before him. [Shining Silver Rabbit Beast Soul] (Rare) -This soul can only be obtained by a Rabbit Hunter after proving himself in single combat. -Contains knowledge of the Shining Silver Rabbit. Requirement: Rabbit Hunter Steven stared at the item in his hand, it was no bigger then a baseball. It was a glass like orb that had a swirling silver energy rushing around inside of it, with nothing to really lose Steven used it. "Use Shining Silver Rabbit Beast Soul" Steven was enveloped with a bright silver light and was then bombarded with messages. [You are the first person to use a Beast Soul. +3 Luck] [The Beast Soul has granted you +10 Agility] [The Beast Soul has granted you a new abilities, [Dash] and [Sensitive Ears]] [The Beast Soul has powered up your Rabbit Hunter sub-title.] [Dash] (Active) (Beginner) (Level 1) -An ability which grants the user a momentary speed increase. -30% movement speed increase for 5 seconds (60 Second Cool Down) (20 Energy) [Sensitive Ears] (Passive) (Beginner) (Level 1) -You now have hearing equivalent to that of a rabbit which might not always be a good thing. -Hearing enhanced within 20 yards. -Beware that loud noises can cause damage. [Rabbit Hunter] -Your proficiency in Rabbit Hunting has allowed you to hunt a rabbit of great power that will reflect upon your future actions against all rabbits. -15% increase in damage done against Rabbits. -15% decrease in damage done to you by Rabbits. Steven cheered up and down as he reviewed his newly acquired things but was somewhat puzzled by the [Sensitive Ears] skill. His hearing was still normal so then he sat down and closed his eyes to focus on only his hearing. Suddenly it was like a new world exploded into him, he could hear the grass waving around, the wind as it whistled through the air and even hear the digging of worms in the ground. He opened his eyes and remained focused on his hearing and found a small worm that was tunneling away around 5 yards away from him. It was truly amazing so Steven left the skill on for the time being and just listened to the sounds of nature all around him. Next he tested out his [Dash] skill and sure enough he was able to quickly run as described. This would be truly helpful in battles or just running long distances in general and so he decided that he would head back to Silverleaf Village since the sun had set. Of course his added Luck and Agility made him jump for joy but New Skills excited him more as it allowed a more diverse experience. He had to run for quite a while since he drifted through the massive amount of rabbits that led him away from the village. Once he entered the village he got his first taste of the horrors of [Sensitive Ears] as the voices of the villagers and players alike erupted. His ears instantly started ringing and actually caused damage to him and very rapidly. -2 -4 -1 -4 -3 -2 The numbers flew past him and he tried to stop using his skill but the noise was effecting him. He finally fought through the pain and returned his hearing to normal just as his health hit 25%. In some ways this skill was more deadly then the actual fight that let him acquire it. Now that his hearing was returned to normal he looked around and noticed many players selling items or looking for groups. "Looking for a Healer to fight with me against Red Foxes." "Selling a [Rusty Dagger] for thieves, better then the starter weapon" Items were being sold left and right, any weapons or armor were pretty much being fought over. Steven quickly made his way through the crowd of people until he came to the tailor shop, Silverleaf Tailors, a simple but effective name. He went inside and was greeted by the 2 women behind the counter as they were still serving others in front of him. He looked around the shop and saw many good products, there was light armor and cloth armor on the walls and on racks. It was a small store but enough to suit the amount of people present. Steven waited in line patiently for about 10 minutes as the people in front of him handled their business. There were 10 people shopping in the store including Steven and all but 1 was an NPC. It was now Steven''s turn to be served and so he stepped up to the 2nd woman who looked to be in her mid-forties with black hair and a warm ''aura''. "Hello how may I help you?" she smiled cheerfully. I guess that business must be going great for them with the arrival of around 100 people. "Hello, I''m actually here to have something made from a certain material I received." "Would you please show me the item." Steven went into his bag and pulled out the [Shining Silver Fur] and placed it on the counter in front of him. The woman''s face turned to one of shock before carefully placing a hand on the fur and rubbing it a little. Her face then turned to one of joy and bliss as if she had found the meaning of life. "Ahem" Steven coughed in order to snap the woman out of her daze. She straightened out immediately and started talking very rapidly, "This is an amazing fur that could only be obtained from a Shining Silver Rabbit but one hasn''t appeared here since our village was founded a decade ago. How in the world did you obtain this marvelous fur?" The sudden excitement that overflowed from the woman stunned Steven before simply saying, "I just killed a lot of rabbits until one showed up." The answer he gave set the woman back as she was not expecting such a simple answer. "Wait here, the boss needs to see this." the woman quickly said before dashing into the back room. Steven saw her away before turning around to look around the shop more, but when he turned around he was just met by curious eyes from other players. Steven ignored them and 5 minutes later a tall but slender man appeared before him, clearly in his fifties with short gray hair. "Hello sir, I am Kraven the owner of this fine establishment, please follow me into the back room." the man spoke in a clear and strong voice. The people around Steven started to gossip about being approached by an NPC and invited to go somewhere. This hadn''t happened before so of course the new information would spread like wildfire but Steven ignored the whispers and headed into the back room. In the back room were several tools and materials strung about to use in Tailoring, Kraven pointed to a stool across from him and Steven took a seat. Kraven stared deep into Steven''s eyes almost as if he were a caged animal before shocking Steven with his next words, "Welcome my fellow Beast Hunter."
