《The Beginning of the Sentinal (Stopped)》 Prologue Book 1 A Storm. That was the first thing I saw, Lightning flashing across the sky like God was coming down from Heaven. Raindrops the size of water glasses fell from the sky, crashing onto the deck like tears from a mother, watching her son be lowered into the ground. ¡°PULL FASTER¡±(?) A Shout. Where am I? Who am I? Didact. My name, I recall who I am. I am from America from the state of Florida. I remember the summer heat, the blazing of the sun while swimming on the beach. The sand, feeling like sugar underneath my feet, soft and easy to push down. I remember running. Why am I running? A building is ahead of me. A skyscraper, that¡¯s its name. Reaching towards the heavens like a statement. Two of them, side by side, with people entering and exiting, talking and reading. I enter one of the skyscrapers and go to the main desk. I hear a sound, one that makes every bone in your body quake. One that reaches down and makes your very soul quiver. I am outside. When did I get outside? I see smoke in the sky, pouring out the side of the skyscrapers twin. What Happened? I¡¯m back inside. Running up the stairs, 1st floor, 2nd floor, the numbers keep climbing. Why am I running so fast? I stop, floor 93, I enter. I am looking around, desperately trying to find something. Hoping to find the thing I am looking for with my whole heart. What am I looking for? Ela, My sister, she works in this part of the building. I feel my heart beating, hammering away like a prisoner hammering away at a wall. Desperate to flee from their confinement. I am scared, I cannot find her. Fire is streaming all around me. I bump into something. A Body. I stumble back, as I fall down. My sister, I recognize her by the locket around her neck. Holding memories of a better time. She is burnt all over her body. A movement, another, and another. She is still alive. I grab her and run to the stair well, running as fast as I did when I went up. 92nd floor, 91st floor. I reach the bottom of the stair well and run outside with my sister in my hands. Dust. Dust is all I see around me. Wait. I see something. A man. Who is that? A firefighter, I scream to him for help. He helps me bring my sister to an ambulance. The flashing lights bringing me comfort with hope that she will survive this. A chill. Something cold went down my back. I look around. A cry. A child is wandering about crying for her mother. I run up to the child. A crash. Knowing something bad is about to happen I cover the child in my arms. That shout once again. ¡°I SAID PULL FASTER, THE LEVIATHAN IS COMING!¡±(?) Why are they screaming? What is a Leviathan? What happened to the child? Another sound, a cry again. Why is it so loud? ¡°Shh everything will be alright, don¡¯t worry, mommy is here to protect you¡± (????)- A warm voice reaches my ears comforting me into listening only to her. ¡°Ell, I¡¯m not sure that the ship will be able to withstand this. SHIT, why did a Leviathan have to come at this point?¡±(????)- A hint of desperation and anger in his voice ¡°The gods cannot allow us to live, we have broken a law and have disobeyed one of their commands by having a child.¡±(Ell) ¡°No one was supposed to know that we left. Who was it that told them that we would be leaving?¡±(????) ¡°I have no idea my love, but you are right. This ship will soon be destroyed, and with are strength being sealed there is nothing we can do to stop it.¡± (Ell) What are they talking about? What Gods are they talking about? I open my eyes and see beauty. No beauty is not a word that could describe how she looks. Black hair flowing over her shoulders, like the waves moving through the sea. Eyes that suck you in, making you unable to look away, dark, yet bright like the night sky with stars in its wake. Lips, bright as an apple, being pushed out, begging for someone to kiss them. A Face, that would put any model to shame, well rounded with cheeks that begged to be stroked. A body that would kill a man with just one glance, with curves in all of the right places, breast the size of melons that protruded from her dress. (No she is not nude) Long legs that looked as smooth as a snake, without a single hair on them. ¡°I¡¯m sorry that I won¡¯t be there for you when you grow up, but I will find you one day¡± (Ell)-Tears running down her face. What are they talking about? What is going on? That was my last thought before I heard a yell, like a foghorn but coming from a monstrous beast, before everything went dark once more. I was right. In a way, you just have to understand what that Element is like and have a feeling of what it means to be in it and use it. I wonder why Void went into the same slot as the Darkness affinity. Maybe because it is one in the same element, or perhaps they make up each other. ¡­¡­ I think I am beginning to understand how to see the different things and how to obtain them. They are based off of what you think as well as what you have done. Since I have been in this darkness for who knows how long I have already gained experience in this skill. It just took me to actually think of gaining something to actually be able to gain it. I don¡¯t think I really like this system but I will try to make use of it. Now that I can see things I still see nothing. Not like Black nothing, more like there is nothing around me, not light, not dark, nothing. I can see my body now. It looks like I am in the body of a ten year old, based off how tall I am and how long the different parts of my body are. Looking at my skin I have a milky white skin color with black lines running down my skin in weird looking symbols. My teeth are pointed sharply at my canines, more so then when I was a human. I have not really experimented with void magic since I don¡¯t really understand it, but I did cut a hole in this Nothingness. Right now I am looking at it wondering what it is, is it a way out? Or is it like a black hole and just devourers everything. I shot some breathable oxygen into the whole to see if it would cause it to explode, since oxygen likes to do that with anything hot. Next I shot some fire and light next to that hole to see if it would suck it in, like a black hole, where it would take anything near it and consume it. The two magic¡¯s just breezed past it like nothing had happened. Love this story? Better to just lose a hand then to lose my life if I decided to just jump, or float, right into it. I feel an air current brushing against my hand, pushing against it like someone blowing across it. I feel stone, mossy stone, wet to the touch and squishy like pushing down on a pillow. I decided to try to look through the hole, not sticking my head through, but just looking through it with my eyes. I see a room, old stone walls that look like they have been there for centuries, the area is lighted up with the moss thing that I felt before, and even with the lights I can tell it is still dark. Not that it matters to me since I have the ability to see in the dark, but for others they might have a hard time trying to move around. Hmmm I don¡¯t see anything moving so I think it is safe, nothing living for as far as I can see. Alright I¡¯m going in. I go into the hole and enter the strange room that I saw while looking through the hole. Looking back I no longer see the hole that I had just previously exited just a blank, stone, moss covered wall with a huge, black dangerous looking dog sleeping next to it. ¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­¡­.. (Me) Well. Guess I better not wake it up should I, let¡¯s see if I can move away from this thing without dying. I don¡¯t really feel like getting consumed by a huge ass dog the size of a Pick-up truck that could flatten me with some of the spit hanging out of its mouth. Alright sneaking quietly, not making a sound (Me) - I said as I tiptoed away from the creature that would kill me in a second. *Squeak Well fuck. The sound of what a squirrel would make while running up a tree to eat some food was echoed throughout the room chilling me to my very bones. *Rustle I feel a huge presence rising up behind me as a shadow continues to rise in front of me, making myself seem dwarfish in nature compared to the being behind me. I turn around and see two jet black eyes with red irises staring down the hall way. *Growl Ok. So the huge demon dog is ignoring me for some reason. This is good news and bad news. Good that I won¡¯t die right now, but bad because whatever is coming is more powerful than me and potentially the huge black dog behind me. Let¡¯s hope that whatever has gotten the dog freaked out is not going to kill/ hurt me in any manner. But knowing my luck it¡¯s going to be a huge dragon that could destroy the universe by coughing. Or something along those lines. *Fluttering of foot steps Or a squirrel. I guess that works too? I was expecting something more than this that could kill me in one sec *BOOM Something flashed by my head faster than I could see, causing for a thin cut to appear on my cheek that dripped black and red blood. I turn around to see what is left of the dog and the squirrel from before right before its remains. ¡°WHAT THE FUCK!¡± (Me)- I accidently scream out in surprise as something that is not physically possible just happened before my eyes. I quickly shut my mouth with my hands, praying to every single god or divine being I could think of, hoping that the killer squirrel that had blood dribbling down its buck teeth won¡¯t look my way and do something against me *Ding

FUCKKKKKKK! ¡°I FUCKING HATE THIS SYSTEM, IS IT TRYING TO KILL ME? I start to madly run down the corridor with fear in my heart, without any knowledge of what I could be running to potentially at, throwing away all other matters other than surviving being killed by the squirrel. I pass many different rooms and corridors, many holes in the wall and pits that seem to be endless. I hear the furry beast chasing after me, scampering without a care in the world, since that creature knows that it can kill me at any time and wants to play with me. Suddenly pain. Pain over whelms my body as a current of pure agony rushes true my very being as another boom echoes through the hall. I look down at my left arm and see the mossy bright wall. Not my arm. ¡°AAHHHH IT HURTS!¡±(Me)- I scream while falling down to the floor, cradling what remains of my arm that was torn off. I start crawling one of the pits in the ground, hoping that by falling down there that I can get away from the squirrel that caused me so much agony and pain. I reach the edge and feel something touch my foot, I look back and see my arm in the squirrel¡¯s mouth, using it as a stick to poke me with. With one last push I shove myself away from the squirrel and fall back into Darkness.
