I''ve never had the urge to write before. When I first came to this website, its stories made me wish to contribute my own. I cannot promise that I will update this regularly, but I''ll write when i have time. Also, I have not read the original LMS, so as to locations and town names ect I will take my own liberties. So, just think of this as "Royal Road 2" or something. Also, I will try to make as few mistakes as possible, but most likely I will not pay attention, nor care about capitalizing "i," nor will I really pay attention to punctuation I''ll try. I really will, but I''m lazy by nature ,so I''m sorry in advance. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Prolog: One year after RoyalRoad was released by Unicorn Corp, the technicians employed at there wanted to test the limits of virtual reality. Specifically, if beings other than humans could use it, and how they would react. However, the mass-produced VR capsule on the market at the time couldn''t be used for this. So, they decided to use an older model of a VR capsule. One that was discontinued due to cost requirements, since this one used the user''s brainwaves rather than iris and vein scan. After a long debate on what they would use to test this theory, the biggest stockholder''s daughter paid a visit along with her father for a regularly scheduled board/investors meeting, and asked if her cat, Artemis, could be used in the test. Since they had nothing better in mind in regards to a test subject, they agreed. However, there were 3 conditions: the animal had to stay within the testing facility they set up, they would have to not hold them liable for anything that may happen to Artemis, and her owner cannot meet her nor help her in game until she was at least level 300. All stipulations seemed fair, until they heard the last one. The daughter, Anya, complained about wanting to play with her cat, but they told her it was so they can watch how she handles the situations without a crutch to lean on. They connect to all four limbs. The tattoos'' thickness is decent on the front and back of all limbs. When it gets to her "Wrists" and "ankles", they stop and go in a circle around the wrist/ankle. Then, smaller, but similar, lines go from the circle over the fingers, front to back, leaving a zero on the palm, before reconnecting to the ring on the wrist/ankle. This tattoo also exists on the Neko-Human as well, but only the ring on the wrists, the lines on the fingers, and circle on the palm of the hands. Goddess: "Sure, give me a moment." Artemis: "In Cat Form, I want black fur. As a Demi-Human(cat), I want black hair with streaks of hair that are like my tattoo, thus they change color depending on my mood" Goddess: "Done." Artemis: "That''s perfect, thanks!" Goddess: "No problem. It is my job to aid you."

Eventually, this subsided and she saw that she appeared to be in front of a Fountain. Immediately players surrounded her, murmuring in disbelief. "Is this a monster?" "What is this? An event?" Artemis was scared, but had nowhere to go. She stood her ground. When an NPC Guard came over after noticing the commotion, he noticed what the group of adventurers were surrounding, and instantly realized what the creature standing before him was. He moved to defend her, and disperse the crowd. After they backed up, he knelt down, like a knight would to his king, towards Artemis. Confused, she puts a paw on his shoulder to try to tell him to get up. He appeared to realize her intent, and does just that. Guard: "Milady, I know you are a young Celestial Beast. As is, you cannot transform, nor speak, but we all know that you are not some monster or mindless beast. Please forgive the adventurers, as they do not know. Had it not been that we still revere your kind highly for all the help they gave us in the past, we wouldn''t know either. Honestly, we thought your kind was all but extinct! It''s wondrous that we were wrong, and noble creatures still exist! I am humbled to be in your presence. I shall go inform the lord about you at once! He shall warn all adventurers, guards, and locals about you. I''m sure they will welcome you favorably." Artemis honestly didn''t care, but was still glad she met this guard. She then decided to have a look around town. Eventually, she stopped at a large building that had adventurers hitting scarecrows. For some reason, she decided to enter to watch them in hopes to find out why they were wasting time hitting something stationary, and not real prey. The instructor noticed her, and started talking to her. However the adventures in the vicinity looked at him like he was insane, talking to a cat and all. However, he was oblivious. He mentions that he was informed that she was coming and that he set something special up for her to train on if she wanted. She gives him a confused look until he brought out the item in question..... a cat scratching post. Artemis, now overjoyed, starts to sharpen her claws on it without any care in the world. After a while, she snaps out of her daze and notices a window appear.

The loud noises prompted the attention of the training hall instructor that went into the back to get a replacement scarecrow and a few replacement wooden weapons for new adventurers and was absolutely pissed at what he seen by the time he walked in all he saw was Artemis barely standing up meowing lowly in pain 4 idiots laughing and a girl yelling at them it didn''t take rocket science to figure out what happened Goon Leader: "Now where was I?..... Ah yes, forgot to kill off that mob I recently punted! Gonna finish that off real quick, and then I''ll deal with the smart-ass... wait what...?!? When did the training hall get so far away?... and why do I feel....cold?" *A few seconds earlier* Right after he said he punted Artemis, the training instructor lost it. He charged at the youth, and by the time he reached them he had just finished calling one of his pupils a smart-ass. He used all the strength he had in a palm strike to send him flying. The last anyone saw of him before he turned grey and poofed was a blood splatter on the wall adjacent to the training, hall across the street. At this point, goons two through four had similar reactions. Some attempted to run. It was futile. The only goon that had a different reaction was the last goon. He fell to the floor, passed out from the shock of seeing his real life friend killed so vividly. The training instructor quickly went over to Artemis to see if she was okay. After a light check over, he sat down on a bench nearby so he could make sure that that doesn''t happen again. After the day ended he decided to award her with all the stats she wouldˇŻve gained from clearing the training hall as a apology, because something like that shouldn''t happen on his watch. He also handed her a hard iron set of short swords, because he knows she will be able to use them when she gets her transformation ability unlocked. The reason he handed her a weapon without asking, is he knew it would fit her best out of all the weapons he had, due to her innate gifts, being a cat and all.

Chapter 3:The Great Escape [Proof Read] ~Edited for grammar by agentXshadow~ Chapter 3: The Great Escape After Artemis was given all those treats, the staff devised a necklace/collar that can read her mind (like the capsule does), and then transmits her "voice," translated into human language by the computers. Only after they tested this device on her for over three hours, they were finally assured it worked 100%, and no translation errors would occur. Confused, Artemis questioned the silly humans in the lab why they decided to help her speak now, when it was very obvious how rushed they were to set this item up, even though it wasn''t planned, per se. She decided to pester them by purposely "meowing" over and over without an intent of actually talking. Kind of how cats do when they beg for treats. She knew eventually one of them would crack. She''d had.....extensive experience with this,so she was sure it wouldn''t be her that cracked. Eventually, as she predicted, a young researcher named Crystal gave up and answered Artemis'' questions. Crystal: "Please, just make it stop! I''m going to have nightmares about nothing but meowing at this rate! I understand you wish to know about why we seemed to randomly want to talk to you now rather than seeing you as a pet. Your high IQ shocked us to the core. We decided to treat you equally, rather than as an animal. It should also help us with the project if we can understand you, both inside and out of the game." Artemis: "I understand." Crystal: "Come with me to get the mandatory exercise before you sleep." Artemis: "..." Crystal: "A-Artemis? Where did she go? Oiiiii Artemis, where are you?" Day 2 The researchers failed to find and force Artemis to do her daily exercise. In the end, they decided to give up and adopt a "Better luck next time" approach. Located behind a statue, in a place people are unlikely to look, due to the hole not being big enough for the average person to fit into. Artemis: "Well, I did want to explore, so I might as well take a look." she thought. Artemis walks into the hole, and discovers that it wasn''t just a small hole, but in fact it was a hidden lair that goes deep underground and into a massive cavern. She assumes it was added by the goddess for her. How''d she assume I would find it? ???: "WHO DARES ENTER MY DOMAIN?" Artemis jumps a good 10 feet in the air, startled, before turning to look and spots a blind Celestial Beast. It appears to be a snake, most likely the last of its subspecies. Artemis: "I''m sorry to have disturbed your rest. My name is Artemis, may I ask your name?" ???: "My name is Chaos young one.... judging by your aura, you''re a Celestial Beast as well....though i don''t know what type." Artemis: "My aura? Couldn''t you just tell that, and my subspecies just by looking?" Chaos: "I may have eyes, but I have been trapped down here for thousands of years... I have lost my vision to the abyss known as the darkness that surrounds us.... what lay before you is naught but a shell of its previous self... locked away in seclusion until I finally gain eternal rest..." Artemis: "That''s horrible! Who would do this to you? Is there anything I can do to help?" Chaos: "My time is almost up. You cannot help me, but, you can help the rest of our kind. The only reason they noticed her in the first place is because she was heading to them from their line of sight. Sneakily, Artemis makes her way between the two guards, and heads outside. She attempts to kill a rabbit, when she notices that her claws do one damage per hit. Confused, she then remembered her title effects. One of them gave her -500% physical damage. Vexed, she decides to sneak back in and heads towards the Mage Guild, to try and learn. Thankfully, the headmaster can read minds, so they could talk to each other. He would listen to her thoughts, and answer out loud. Headmaster: "Such a curious thing. Meeting one of your kind in a Mages'' guild. Normally, your kind automatically knows basic sorcery." Artemis: "Apparently, I never learned them. Would you be so kind as to help me?" Headmaster: "Certainly. May i see your stats, so that I can see what you can learn with your current int and wisdom?" Artemis: "Sure. Show Stats to....ummmm...." Headmaster: "Salem." Artemis: "Show stats to Salem." Salem: "!!!!!" Artemis: "Um, how is it?" Salem: "Would you like to be my official apprentice? He asked her if she could wait a moment while he sets it up. However, that was a mistake. By the time he got back, his favorite desk''s leg had been clawed to hell! The culprit was still hard at work sharpening her claws without a care in the world. Artemis in the meantime didn''t know what she did was bad, because it''s in her nature. She ended up giving him a confused look, when she saw his sad face. Salem decided to forget about it, and continue on with her training.... maybe even get revenge during it... Salem: "Artemis, I will now train you about the elements. Since you are highly attuned to light, due to your race, we will first focus on that due to high affinity. It will allow you to learn much faster, and thus help you grasp spell-craft." Artemis: "So, what do I do?" Salem: "Focus your mind. Create an image of a ball made of light. The position has no relevance, but you can train it to the point where you can cast spells from locations different from you yourself. This will help greatly in combat" After half an hour, Artemis finally got the hang of it, and now has a better understanding of spell-craft. She also understands the inner workings of the spell since the ball of light is a spell so basic, that it doesn''t even count as a skill. None were generated, but he told her this same method is how she can develop more spells unique to her. Curious, she decided to attempt to make a spell that used all her mana, and her holy element, as well as her divine element. After many failed attempts, she managed to make a skill.

Her eyes almost popped out of her head! Thankfully, the creation of the spell didn''t trigger the cooldown. However, both her and her master were speechless. Salem: "I''m starting to wonder who''s the master and who''s the apprentice." "Haah." Salem let out a long sigh, as he saw the description of the spell that his student just created. Artemis decided she would never use the spell unless it was life a threatening situation, due to the insane cooldown. Salem decided that it was time to teach her more magical theory, since she already has a fine mastery of her own element. She'' only bound now by her knowledge. Since she understands the basics, she can devise her own spells for any other element. All she lacked was sufficient information. This story has been stolen from Royal Road. If you read it on Amazon, please report it Salem led Artemis into a private sealed library that is normally only admissible to the headmaster alone, but he made an exception for Artemis, due to the fact that she needs to be able to protect herself. He wouldn''t be able to live with himself if his failure as a teacher got her killed. Artemis spent the next month reading everything in the hidden library, and learned everything. Her curiosity never seemed sated. By the time she was done, she earned 100 int and wisdom. She had in mind ideas for countless spells. However, she would have to wait until later to test them, due to how scary they may turn out to be. After she was finished reading, all he had left to teach her was Magic sight and external magic control. So, he proceeded to guide her on how to obtain both, which she did after a mere 8 hours. Something that took him decades took her hours.

Having nothing left to teach her, Salem gives her a rune engraved charm that he attached to her collar. It acts in place of a staff, and helps her in casting spells. He then sent her off to find her own path in life. Artemis then decides that it''s finally time for revenge on the bastard creature known as the bunny. Players who witnessed Artemis killing rabbits that day never wanted to hunt rabbits again. In fact, they wanted to grab one, pick it up out of fear for its life, even if it bit them, and move them to a new map. Eventually she decides to go deep into the woods, because the prey where she was were too easy for her with her inflated stats. What she finds next, made her run for her life. Quakes can be felt that tell everyone nearby something MASSIVE is walking. Artemis is running for her life. When the players nearby notice what is chasing her, they all faint. The Guards practically shit themselves. Only one word managed to escape the Guard Captain, who was nearby "DRAGON!!!" TO BE CONTINUED...

Growing tired, Artemis decided enough was enough, and just decided to ask it why it was chasing her. Artemis: "Why are you chasing me?" ???: "Because your holy and divine aura made me sense you as one akin to I, the True Dragon, God of Light, made me seek you.... While my mind tells me you are weak, my instinct tells me you are a threat to my position as the holiest being in Middle Earth." Artemis: "So you would chase and attack a level one cat, just due to that reason alone?" ???: "Indeed. Fear not, I shall at least let you know the name of the being that sent you to the afterlife. Ascultone: "And you think you have a choice in the matter..... how cute." Ascultone sweeps at Artemis with her giant white scaled tail, following up with a white fireball from her Dragon''s Breath. Thanks to a cat''s nimbleness, she managed to barely dodge them both, but some of her beautiful fur got burned. Artemis, in the heat of the moment, attempted to trap the dragon using the Earth to create a swamp around the Dragon to make it sink down. It isn''t as effective as she would have hoped, and she curses in her mind how useless that spell she made was, when in reality it was quite powerful, since it was able to sink a dragon, even momentarily. Ascultone, for a second, was caught off guard and ended up almost getting trapped FULLY in the earthen swamp. Artemis then sat and started licking her front paw, in order to taunt the Dragon. Artemis had only one skill aside from her ultimate magic that could harm it... while the skill said it can be used at higher levels to control enemies'' magic, she decided to risk it early on hoping her wisdom and int would give her a chance at pulling off a miracle. Ascultone fired a massive white fireball at Artemis. She used all her focus, wisdom, and intellect to attempt to control the fireball she manages to succeed and turned it around and hit the dragon in the head, taking out 19% of her total HP. Ascultone was enraged, and struggled even more than before to get out of the swamp, when she felt something was wrong.... DANGER .... MUST GET AWAY Her instincts were screaming at her telling her to "MOVE YOUR ASS AND GET OUT OF HERE", but her pride decided she was already embarrassed enough from getting caught in the earthen swamp that she would not allow herself to fly out and dodge what was to come. That was a mistake.... <> Ascultone shuddered in fear as glyphs and runes appeared around Artemis. A massive magical array appears above Ascultone, as all the sky aside from the array darkens.... blacker than night itself.... nothing in the sky aside from the area under the array. All players in Royal Road noticed the sky darken. Instantly the sunlight all over Middle Earth ceased for those few moments until suddenly... With no mana left, Artemis took a risk and ran at the still stunned and captured Ascultone, and started clawing at her wildly. Eventually, her hp hits 0 and Artemis wins. Then, she remembered an old saying about dragons'' blood and dragons hearts. So, she entered through the impact point from her spell earlier and proceeds to eat the dragons heart and drink the blood. All of a sudden a DING could be heard, normally attributed to learning skills.

Artemis decided to transform into her Demi-Human, which conveniently was already clothed fully. Happy and giddy, jumping up and down at what she managed to do. When all of a sudden, a sickening "THUNK" could be heard Artemis feels more pain than she''d ever felt before in her entire life. Enough to make her cry, as she watched her health fall before she died. She managed to look back to see the hand that was holding the evil pulsating spear of darkness that impaled her chest. I was a being surrounded by darkness. Her instincts told her this being was a Dark God. ???: "Amazing... you didn''t instantly die this time, even from that. Even that weak dragon you fought would''ve died without even being able to so much as look at me before they faded." Artemis: "*coughing up blood* W-what....w-who are you *she spits out even more blood*" Artemis says while wondering what "this time" meant. ???: "Me? my name is XiX but to you..... Chapter 6: The Dark Gods Seal [Proof Read] ~Edited for Grammar by agentXshadow~ Chapter 6: Dark Gods Seal Artemis was ejected from the game. The pod automatically opened, and the researchers in the room who saw the event from start to finish rushed over to her to see if she was okay. Apparently, the pain limiter was removed when the God struck her.... she felt 200% more pain than it would normally inflict at 100% pain rather than the paltry 20% its normally set to. Crystal attempted to go towards Artemis, who was huddled as far back into the pod as she could be, shivering, scared, feeling lingering pain, as well as anger towards the God that had attacked her. Crystal: "A-Artemis are you o-okay?" Slightly stuttering, Crystal managed to force out the words. She neared Artemis to attempt to pick her up, but Artemis hissed as her. Crystal backed up, and they left her alone without attempting to get near her. But, Crystal stayed nearby to keep an eye on her. they called Anya, her owner, in to see if she could comfort her. When Anya finally arrived, she asked what had happened. They explained the situation, and showed her the video, as well as the pod feed of when Crystal attempted to pick her up earlier. Anya was in tears, because she''d never seen Artemis in such pain before. Anya went up to Artemis, and picked her up. However, Artemis still wasn''t back to her old self and ended up biting her hand. Anya, however, didn''t let her down, nor did she cry. She just hugged her cat, who then finally stopped trembling. She then spent the rest of the 24 hour lockout time with her beloved Artemis, until it was time for her to re-login. However, at that point, Artemis was back to normal and perfectly fine. Artemis goes to check the skill notifications that she somehow turned off during combat. She vaguely remembers something from the staff that is a part of the project that they may disable skill learn/info windows during combat, so she attributed it to that. "FUCKING XiX!!!!" Artemis secretly cursed in her mind. The second thought she had was that she can finally meet up with her beloved Anya in-game, but she decides not to for now, because she didn''t want that XiX bastard to harm her.... hurting herself she can forgive ....but if he were to hurt her owner, she would make sure to find a way to kill him over, and over, and over until the end of time. Artemis vowed to herself on that day, that she would protect Anya from that bastard, and anyone else that might want to harm her. So, even though it hurt her more than it did Anya to be away, she felt it was for the best. Artemis: "Well, guess since I can finally talk to people and use human form, all I need to do is find a way to remove this curse.... or at least weaken it. Erica starts to cook, humming a cheery tune while prepping the meat and spices she gathered before she set off with Artemis. After the food was finished cooking, she sets out food for the two of them. However Artemis refused the food, politely. Erica got worried, however. Not due to thinking she made or said something that upset Artemis, but for another reason. Artemis was confused at the look Erica had when she refused. In the back of her mind she felt something was wrong, but she put it aside. She didn''t want to distrust a friend who traveled with her over the course of three weeks [in game] to get to the Crypt of the Damned, so she let the warning signs her instinct was giving off go ignored. Shortly after, Artemis attributed it to insulting her cooking, because that was the only thing that came to her mind that would make her upset for not eating something she prepared so carefully. Artemis sighed and decided to explain to Erica about her unique body, and how it needed no food to function. Artemis told Erica in hopes to cheer her up. After a good rest, they decided to enter the dungeon. Artemis could see just fine in the dark, but Erica could not, so she would have Erica stay a bit farther back with a magical light Artemis prepared for her, while Artemis herself went and scouted a little further in front in total darkness. They arrived upon a Death Knight, and 3 Chaos Legion Skeletons. Artemis called back to Erica to prepare buff music, and to support her as best as she could. Erica meekly nodded as Artemis used Chaos Step to appear behind the Death Knight. She then proceeded to coat her hands and swords in holy aura, which was in turn enhanced due to her divinity. DING

A loud "BANG" can be heard after the impact. The body of the Death Knight shatters in all directions. His corpse hits the Chaos Legion Skeletons nearby with great force, lowering all their HP''s by 40%. Capitalizing on this, Artemis quickly dispatched the Chaos Legion in less than a minute. This pace keeps up until they reach a grand hall that just SCREAMS "Boss Fight Here!" to even the most casual gamer if they had the opportunity to see it. Artemis dashes into the large room, when a strange shift happens [think SAO when a boss appears]. The room suddenly is lit up, the walls and ceiling look like a starry sky, but the room was illuminated like it was daytime outside, without the outside part. Artemis then notices a MASSIVE Skeleton. Above its head was labeled BOSS: Legion [Level: 430], and it was almost as tall as the hall it was residing in. It had two "short" swords and a bow all fitting for its size. Artemis, instead of feeling fear.....felt something she''d never felt before.....exhilaration.....excitement, even. Artemis focused all her attention on the boss before her. She darts at the boss, dodging its sweep by jumping. That was a mistake. Legion instantly lets go of the sword he used to sweep at her. She was still high in the air, with no way to move herself. Legion pulls out his bow, faster than one would expect to see a pile of bones moving, and fired a shot aimed directly at Artemis'' head. This book is hosted on another platform. Read the official version and support the author''s work. Artemis, with no time to think, transformed into her cat form to dodge the massive arrow, which she barely managed. The force of the arrow flying through the air sent her flying towards a wall. Erica, who was nearby, jumped and caught her. Confusion showed in Erica''s face as to why her friend turned into a cat, but she didn''t question it, for now wasn''t the time. Another arrow flew towards Erica and Artemis. Erica threw Artemis, who was still in her cat form, far away from her. Artemis, who was mid-air, was looking back at Erica while crying as she watched her first friend, one of the natives of this world, get pierced through the chest by the massive arrow, instantly killing her. Enraged, Artemis transformed into her Ancient Dragon Form, which was heavily affected by the dragon that she used as a base. Since both her and the dragon she used as a basis for this form were holy creatures, the high affinity she had to the form allowed her to use all of Ascultone''s power. Instantly, she was filled with the feeling that nothing in this world could harm her, even though she knew that wasn''t true. Using her newfound power she fires a breath attack at the boss instantly killing it. All that was left in the room was Artemis, who was in Ancient Celestial Dragon form, balling her eyes out over what happened to her friend. She soon collects herself enough to undo the transformation, and revert back into human form. Artemis heads over to her friend''s corpse since, NPCs left behind bodies, she intended to carry her out of the dungeon and give her a proper burial, when all of a sudden she was forcefully stopped by a massive group of players, at least 200 in number. Artemis: "Move out of my way, or I will leave over your dead bodies." she said, as she had a beyond murderous look in her eyes, which made half of the opposing players flinch. ???: "Damn, she failed to poison you, even after we held her son hostage in attempt to force her. She still didn''t have it in her to lead one person to their death. Well.... at least we can spare hearing her cry and killing her ourselves after we told her she would be joining her son in heaven Ahaha" Artemis grabs the man by the neck, and with one arm lifts him off the ground, which shouldn''t be possible with her stats at this point to lift a full heavy armored enemy with two hands let alone one. She starts squeezing the man''s neck, who, in fear, squeaks out to his men, "Get this bi....tch ouf ob meh" his voice was slurred and broken due to her tight grip on his neck which, no one could blame him for. One of the enemy players swipes at her hand with a sword, forcing her to let go, and jump far back into the hall so she wouldn''t lose said hand. Artemis: "Why.... WHY did you do this?!.... If it wasn''t for you...." Artemis felt rage, even greater than what she felt towards Legion, now directed at the group before her. ???: "Because you killed a dragon, we, Crimson Wings Guild, were planning to hunt." Artemis: "You kidnapped my best friend''s son, forced her to attempt to take my life, while all this time her son she was hoping to see again was dead.... you...you...monsters" she manages to speak out with tears in her eyes. ???: "She best part is... there''s nothing you can do about it!" Artemis''s form starts to change at a rapid pace into a dragon. Every player in the area, aside from Artemis, gets this message: Ding

Chapter 8: A Legend Born From Blood [Proof Read] ~Edited for Grammar by agentXshadow~ Chapter 8: A Legend born from blood Artemis roars loudly. She notices most of the players present lose 20-40% hp. Due to this, she then decides to attempt to annihilate them all. She goes to fire a breath attack, but instead of releasing it, she charges the shot up. Particles of light gathering towards her mouth, and super compressing itself into a orb. Thin rings of light surround it, making it look like a depiction of an atom. Seeing his men still stunned from the roar, the main tank of the party activates his last ditch save spell/skill, one he almost never uses. The man yells <> which makes him invulnerable for a short period of time. [Author Note: yes I took this from log horizon] He stood close to the dragon, and slammed his massive tower shield down, attempting to take the hit. He gets hit with a blinding light. When he can see again, he notices something that makes him scared for his life, for the first time since he''s started the game. As if it was a wedge from his point as the tip, everyone not behind him was gone. Wiped out, erased. It''s not like any of them were weak; in fact most of them were level 300-400. The leader of the party being level 500. They feared nothing. Until now, that is. The dungeon was blasted open by the sheer power of the attack that he managed to deflect. There was a massive hole in the mountain, that once covered the dungeon. Artemis was unable to move for a while due to the recoil of the attack, but the enemy didn''t know that, and took this chance to flee for their lives. They all managed to make it to the grasslands nearby, before Artemis could move again. She decides to fly to them and lands in the middle of them, squishing a few under her feet like ants. She then proceeded to use her tail like a flail and a whip to attack the remaining players that were behind her. She purposely made everyone but the enemy leader die. Before confronting him, she knew she couldn''t kill him forever, so she decided to make it so he never tried this shit again. She forces her dragon form to condense back into a Demi-Human Form. However, this one isn''t like her normal form. Through sheer willpower, she forced the system to give her transformation skill another Form: a Dragonoidal Human Form. She looked beautiful in this form. Her scales make her look like a living work of art, and in this form she had 80% of the stats she had in her full Dragon Form, which was a unexpected perk. Artemis slowly walked towards the leader of the raid. Like a cat playing with a mouse, she began to torment him, both physically and mentally... by the time he finally died, the once green fields that surrounded him were crimson. Due to her habit from her real form, she goes to lick her dragon claws in order to clean them of the blood which made her even scarier. Almost instantly, the last ones to die released a video their pods automatically captured of her that shown everything that happened from a hour before to an hour after they got killed by her, it was a system put in place to prevent misuse of pk. It recorded a log of the hour before, and after, of your killer in a third person''s perspective as evidence in case they keep spawn killing, etc. Of course uploading that data was illegal, but they didn''t care. INSTANTLY the forums metaphorically exploded with activity. The thread instantly became stickied, and became the number one viewed thread on the forums. People started to call her "The Goddess of The Hunt", due to how she killed all the idiots that dared draw her ire. Some started calling her "The Goddess of Animals", due to her shape shifting. No one knew who she was, they just wanted to know one thing: "Who was she?" Meanwhile in Hired Heroes [also known as H4H]''s Vent(Vent = Ventrilo its a Voice chat system) [Notice: This chat never happened but all the people listed in it are real and me and agentXshadow are a member of said guild] Unauthorized duplication: this narrative has been taken without consent. Artemis went back to where she left the body of her friend, Erica, and takes her to a beautiful spot that overlooks a gorgeous sunset, and buries her. She offers a prayer to whatever Gods exist in this world that aren''t total assholes, like XiX, that she can be reunited with her son. After paying her respects, she transforms into her full Dragon Form and flies off, wanting a change of pace from all the bullshit she went through today, in hopes to forget the pain and sorrow for a moment, when she suddenly hears softly due to the distance she had from the ground "elp e!" Confused, she lowers her altitude for a bit to get a better listen, and hears a young child crying and yelling for help. Artemis, not warning to frighten the child in her Dragon Form, changes into her Demi-Human Form mid-air. After noticing what she needs help with, she saw with her enhanced vision before transforming a high level player chasing a little girl. She could tell that it was a player as well, due to her dialog with the man begging him not to kill her, and that she didn''t have a lot of japtem or gold on her, that it wasn''t worth killing her and getting the murderers mark. Artemis, after aiming correctly, and like I stated above, transforming into her Demi-Human Form, falls perfectly in line with the idiot attempting to kill a child. Artemis used <> to negate her fall damage, and at the same time uses the fall to explosively raise her physical damage by 1000%, thus negating her debuff for that hit on the idiot, and buffing her damage by 500%. If that wasn''t bad enough for the poor sap, it was a fatal hit. Instantly killing him, granted it was quite obvious it was fatal since the man looked like a Unicorn due to where she hit the guy on the head. The girl instantly breaks out into laughter at the scene, and instantly stops when she sees the person who saved her. ???: "A-Artemis?.... Is that really you? The only saving grace in her passing out so fast, is she didn''t have to feel the excess pain for a extended period of time. Anya rushes over to Artemis, and starts to worry. However, she is unable to do anything for her but stay by her side. Half an hour later, two figures make their way out of dense brush and foliage. ???: "Oh, Anya, there you are. We have been looking everywhere for you! What happened to you?" ???[2]: "Hey Yeavon, who''s that by Anya?" says the unknown man to the other previously unidentified man. The doctor takes out some smelling salts, and wakes up Artemis, who instantly looks to be in extreme pain. He then gives her some water with ground up medicines mixed into it. Doctor: "Drink up, lil'' Missy, you will need it... I don''t know how you ended up in that state. Your body is so fucked up right now. I haven''t seen a case this bad since the Guard Captain thought it was a good idea to block an explosion with a small round shield.... that was a mess..." Anya: "Artemis, what happened to you? Why did you end up in such a bad state?" Artemis: "Well.....I guess it''s useless to stay quiet about it. It''s not like I have anything to hide." So, Artemis starts to tell Anya everything about her time in Royal Road, from day one to current without sparing any details or emotions. Air filled with suspense, as the update was launched and completed. They hinted at new bosses called "World Bosses," and that there would be over 20 different World Bosses. Each are unique monsters, with unknown levels, and unknown HP. No details aside from that. There can only be one World Boss of each respected type out in the world at each time. However, what excited users was the fact that they can spawn anywhere in Royal Road, at any given time. The scary part was, they most likely would need a Raid party to beat them, and they are highly intelligent. They could even come up with counter-plans to stratagem used on them. When players heard this, a good amount accused Unicorn Corp. of sending in staff to play as OP monsters. However, they assured us that isn''t the case. *Meanwhile, back to our party* The trip started like any other, selling off japtem from monsters, PKers, and bandit NPCs, as well as getting necessary food, ingredients, spices, water, apple juice for Anya, and an extra tent. Meanwhile, while the boys shop and sell off loot and secure supplies, Anya has been latched onto Artemis this whole time, chatting with her, which was a weird feeling for Artemis, but both have been together so long they treat each other as family, so this feeling of awkwardness poofed fast. As the name implies, it lets you summon a teammate to your location, regardless of distance, if they accept. Yeavon: "<>" A Bright light surrounds Yeavon. He totally fades out from the location he was at, similar to if he logged out, which users assumed he did, and left. While some decided to camp that spot, so when Yeavon logged in, they would force him to tell them the location of my teammates. Sadly for them, he didn''t log out, nor would they succeed in getting him to talk. Yeavon appears in front of Agent, as if he was always there, leaving Anya and Artemis stuck with open mouths, wondering what the hell had just happened. However, decided not to question it. Agent turns around, and starts to get ready to continue on the path, when a loud "THUDDDD" could be heard Then the ground started to shake, causing all but Yeavon to fall on their asses. After accepting the party invites, they get ready for one hell of a fight. Before anyone has any chance to reply, or ask how we are going to fight something like that, the Golem sucks its hands into its body, then sucks its feet and head in, and starts to rapidly roll at us. Yeavon curses at the golem with a chaotic grin on his face. He pulls out his shield, but leaves his sword sheathed, and takes a stance. The golem continues to roll at all of them. The girls try to run, but everyone from Hired Heroes stays still, confusing the girls even more. Anya: "WHY THE HELL ARE YOU ALL JUST STANDING THERE?! WE''VE GOT TO MOVE!" Agent: "Because we don''t need to move." Yeavon: "<> <> >" Everyone watches as the golem rolls closer and closer, until it impacts Yeavon, who seems quite amused, as he flings the 100+ ton golem into the air with little effort, due to using its powerful roll and only lifting it up enough to use the shield as a ramp, and angled it so it would fly like a rocket into the sky. A Loud THUMMMMMM is heard, as the golem loses 30% of its massive HP just like that. [Authors note: Fall damage''s a bitch even more so if your stupidly heavy] To be Continued

Chapter 11: Clash of the Titans [Book 1 End] [Proof Read] ~Edited for Grammar by agentXshadow~ Chapter 11: Clash of the Titans Artemis could only stare dumfounded with round saucer like eyes at the scene unfolding before her never in her life did she think she would see something soˇ..unconventional and common sense shattering as what played out before her Eveechan pulls out a curved bow that has no string which confuses Anya and Artemis alike but then a blue line appeared between the contact points and an arrow materialised out of manaˇ. turns out evee is a hidden class called ˇşElemental Marksmanˇ» she can fire Elemental arrows at her enemies as well as spells in the shape of arrowsˇ. the implications of this class are quite scary She fires a volley of arrows at the golem most would expect them to do nothing to it however these arrows were spinning and ended up boring a hole through the mountain of a golem they didn''t seem to do much but it was doing D.O.T damage while boring through (Damage over time) The Golem instantly rolls towards Eveechan however her husband Nibor intercepted it he punched the golem using his Fighters gauntlets most would assume that would do little to no damage however he was a able to push the creature off course enough to miss them in fact the sound of the impact alone was enough to make all those present glad it wasn''t them he was hitting Nibor used a skill that nullifies his defence in all forms and makes him take more damage in return for more power the boost is well worth the risk, and with his class ˇşMartial Sageˇ» we are sure he hasnt even shown everything he has to offer yet Tenks on the other hand in his orange apparel and his orange labcoat had a big pack on his back that had tubes connecting to two guns on his hips and above the pack was what seemed to be some kind of firearm. his class was ˇşMad Alchemistˇ» its a combat variant of alchemist one can only get by ˇ.. wellˇ.. you donˇŻt want to know. on his wrist was a control module that he used to regulate which potions the guns on his hips firedˇ. yes it was a glorified squirt gun of doom. And the weapon on his back was later identified as a ˇ°Potion Launcherˇ± all of these devices Tenks made himself while laughing like a madman. Tenks makes the ground in front of him swampland with one potion he then taunts the golem into rolling at himˇ bad call on the golems part the swamp was enough to half submerge the golem it couldn''t get out for the time being. tenks however threw another potion at the ground turning it back to normal encasing the poor golem inside the ground while he laughs maniacally as he squirts the equivalent of acid on the poor things face The golem enraged manages to break out of its land based prison and charges at tenks only to get pushed back into the ground by Agent who used his otherworldly power over gravity to force the freak of nature to its knees this however took a great toll on agent anyone who was there could see this due to the blood coming out of his nose while upkeeping this monstrous output Agent: ˇ°SOMEONE NEEDS TO KILL THIS DAMN THING SOON OR IM GOING TO DIEˇ± Agent yells as his power starts to kill him his body begins to break down from over use Artemis decides now isn''t the time to hesitate so she transforms into her ancient celestial dragon form and starts to cast <> she charges the shot which is much more powerful than last time due to the sunlight being plentiful unlike in the cave Enjoying the story? After getting the staff to agree, she headed over to her owners house on foot since it wasn''t that far away. Once they got to AnyaˇŻs house, Crystal, who was escorting Artemis, knocked on the door. Since no one was coming. she rang the doorbell. Eventually little Anya opened the door and squealed in excitement as she noticed Artemis, since she hasn''t been home in ages. Anya motioned for Crystal and Artemis to come in, but Crystal refused. She had to get back to work; analyzing all the data they obtained from ArtemisˇŻs grey incident. Anya decided since she can actually talk to Artemis now, she didn''t need to worry about her running off, so she and Artemis decided to go for a walk. While getting strange glances from onlookers, Anya and Artemis chat merrily while walking through the nearby central park. Freya reached into ArtemisˇŻs real body and pulls out her soul carefully to make sure she loses nothing in the transition and then places it inside her game avatar since she couldn''t save her ˇ°Realˇ± form after the four hour long operation ended Freya sighed in relief since she knew Artemis is now out of danger However she now worried about ArtemisˇŻs unique situation since now if she dies she will really be ˇ°Deadˇ± and not ˇ°waiting for rebirthˇ± like normal game avatars so she decides to alter her a bit Now instead of dieing if she gets hit with a ˇ°Fatalˇ± blow her HP will lock at 1 and will not go lower she will then automatically be sent to FreyaˇŻs Domain for 4 days to heal naturally this way she won''t draw unwanted attention from the powers that originally managed her body and well Freya can''t deny that she wanted to spend more time with Artemis so this worked out well for the both of them. After a whole 2 days have passed Artemis wakes up and notices Freya who''s been sitting at her side since the beginning nearby under preservation magic is ArtemisˇŻs old body Freya didn''t want to get rid of it without consulting Artemis on what to do with it, that and she figured it would help speed the explanation along a bit. After explaining the situation Artemis hugged Freya and started to cry not because of the situation or the pain but due to her from the bottom of her heart she felt gratitude to the being sitting before her. Book 2 Chapter 2: The Godly Diadem [Needs proofreading] Book 2 Chapter 2: The Godly Diadem Artemis decided to explore her own realm a bit to see if anything was left for her by her past self after Freya hinted at hidden treasures lurking. Inside her beautiful white log house was a more modern looking room with pretty woodworking on the wall panels which further popped out due to some gold inlays intermingling with the design, on the ceiling was a snowflake engraved in the wood it was breathtaking. After a few hours exploring the house which shockingly was bigger on the inside than the outside it was like a mansion with 4 floors even though the building outside was visibly only one floor. Artemis found a room that was sealed with a special barrier that only let her in nothing else she found this out when she got stuck but her face obviously passed the point where her clothing got stuck. Dropped/Hiatus [Reasons inside] lost the will to write to story for now. Wanted to say sorry to all my dedicated readers and i hope i get the will to write again for those who stuck with me from start to now i thank you for the support I know i liked to keep the story fast paced but i mostly did such to test myself to see if i could keep a fast story interesting --- for those that wanted to know how things were going to go MASSIVE SPOILERS DON''T READ IT IF YOU DON''T LIKE THOSE KINDS OF THINGS Spoiler : Artemis was going to become a god on her own have a epic fight with XiX kill him but doing so activated a trap laid inside Anya''s collar teleporting her to a higher realm artemis would of then met Freya who would help her get to the first higher realm and things would of gotten a little slower to add more characters and friends and whatnot, she wouldn''t be as OP in this new realm in fact she was going to be quite weak for a while compared to them.... it was gonna be about 3 books worth of misadventures and whatnot, she would of fell in love with someone but it would of been something cute and innocent for a long time and said person would of helped her along the way, turns out the person who was helping her that she fell for actually liked her back and was secretly a prince in the upper realms however he was a "thrown away" prince, eventually artemis would save Anya after something akin to ragnarok level danger and live happily ever after with her who got changed from the higher realm eventually Anya would end up getting married to the prince''s younger brother and everyone lived happily ever after
