《Thera: The Next Generation》 Prologue... The developers of Thera all sat around a table that was too big for the current amount of members that rested their elbows on it. In the days of New Paths online, the table had been completely full , the room was bright and lively. Now however, The room was dimly lit in order to save electricity, and only the founders of the company, and a few people that were too loyal to leave remained. The Corporation, which at the height of its prestige, wielded enough financial power to destroy a small country, had been reduced to a company so small that executives who ad t had to do hands on work in decades now oversaw projects themselves. This was their last shot. They wouldnt even have that if a certain Mr. J. Stone hadnt offered a large investment, the last fighting chance they would have, and they bet it on their new game: Thera. It was a shot in the dark, a fresh idea that was either revolutionary or stupid. It was a game set in the modern world. There were plenty of normal professions like accountant or lawyer. but of course there were hidden gems, and not all was what it seemed, the developers hinted more than once that this world was certainly not a carbon copy of ours, and subtly implied the presence of magic. Stolen from its rightful place, this narrative is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings. Of course the gaming websites gave them all kinds of negative reviews, saying it would be boring, that it took the fictional escape factor that video games offer out of the equation. Of course most people being the sheep that they are, believed this and didnt give the game a second look. The developers knew that they would have a very small initial buy, mostly the old guard, people who had stuck wit the company since new paths. The rest would probably be rebellious youth, people who were tired of the usual crowded games and sought adventure. They could only hope that something, some one, would spark a fire that would bring the company back to life, and little did they know, that spark would come in the shape of two boys: Deion Stone and Damien Delacroix Enter the Stone DingDingDing Trrringgg! DingDingDingTrrrrring! God, I always hated that alarm clock. Dad had it specially designed so it would be extra annoying, to the point where it was impossible to sleep through it. All I did was miss a few days of school, there was no reason to have me tortured every morning by that thing! I thought when I graduated, I would be able to destroy that thing forever... but when I woke up the next morning, there it was... staring at me nonexistent eyes. My father had replaced it. Well, a member of the Stone family has values it needs to uphold and laziness isn''t one of them. Or so my dad always said. He rose the Stone family to prominence all by himself. He was Mr. Perfect, the almighty game hero, Jameson who defied the gods themselves or however the story goes, I dont really care. I''m tired of having to live like a perfect son of the Stone family, for that purpose, I have derived a solution! I shall become a hikikomori! God I love the Japanese and their oh so useful terms and ideals. No matter where I go the family name Stone will follow me, and so would my social chains... but not in video games! I video games, I could be free, forge my own destiny, and make my own name. And be rich of course. I may hate the obligations of being a Stone, but I damn sure love the money! Damn, its already 9:00! I rush over to my virtual reality capsule, which is pre-loaded with several popular games, but the one I select is Thera. My father donated quite a bit to the company who made it, so of course I got a free game. They offered me all kinds of of bonuses, but I declined. I wanna play fair and square. When I dominate this game, it wont be because Im a Stone, becausee I''m rich, or because I had in-game help. It''ll be because I''m Deion, because of who I am, and what I can do, not what I am and things I can buy. Maybe I''m a little too serious, it is just a game... well then again, I have decided to be a hikikomori gamer, so i suppose games ARE my life. I climb into the capsule, and start her up.
Welcome to Thera, what is your name?
"Deus" I said. Sounds kinda cool, and its close enough to my name to where I can use it comfortably.
The only race available right now is human, would you like to alter your appearance?
An image of myself popped up. Amongst my brothers and sisters, with my brown skin and long coarse hair, I''m the one who resembles my father the most. Thats probably why he iss so concerned with how I acted despite me being the third son, fourth born over all. Middle child usually gets ignored, and i think I would have preferred that. Nonetheless, I actually really like the way I look...mostly. "Increase my height by two inches and add 25 pounds of muscle, but leave everything else the same." I said. Unfortunately I didnt inherit the raw bulk my father was blessed with, in that regard alone, I take after my mother. Luckily, with this height boost Im 6 feet tall, so its fine.
Where would you like to start?
"Random!" I say, excitedly. This setup was pretty short compared to many others I''ve seen. Suddenly I''m enveloped in white light, accompanied by the sensation of falling. When it clears I''m standing in a dark alley in a big city. I quickly look around to make sure there arent any dangerous elements behind me, but there are only sleeping homeless people. I quietly sat down against a wall "Status Window" I whispered. I didnt want to wake the homeless, but I also didnt want to leave the semi-safety of the alley just yet.

Pretty average across the board. Wait where is my mana bar???? Ohhhhhh I get it, I dont even have magic, why would I need a mana bar?... Then again i dont know if I even want to become a magician or anything. I know how to fight with my hands, dad taught me, and constantly fighting my elder siblings, although I rarely win, has given me a fairly good experience level... but I dont know. I need to find out some options. Well, might as well sleep here, not tired, but theres no where else to go yet. As I fall asleep, a notification appears. New Title: Homeless Fame +5 You are now accepted as part of the homeless community 10% bonus to scavenging, begging, and sleeping activities
When I woke up, some old guy was prodding me with his foot. By the way, That was a fairly good sleep, better than one would expect from sleeping against a wall. oh yeah... its cause Im a homeless now. That''s so embarrassing... well at least its not my class, I don''t know if we can change those, unlike titles. Well its day time now, I wonder what I should do now. "How long are you going to ignore me you brat???" The old man who had been poking at me yelled. This is why I hate geezers. "Whats up man?" I ask. " Who are you? I dont know who you are, or where youre from, but these are my alleys kid, all of 92nd street L block, have been for decades! " The old man said with obvious pride. Why would you be so proud of a couple alleys on the block? Not even the whole city, not the whole street, a block, and ONLY the alleys of that block. I''m not even going to argue how stupid that is. "Ok sir, I''m Deus. Nice to meet you." "Look here brat, if you wanna stay here, you have to go through initiation just like every one else!" The old man said. God why does this guy keep yelling? And he''s kind of spitting when he talk and its landing on me. i''m getting tired of this guy quickly. Just when I''m about to respond, a notification appeared.
New Quest: Initiation In order to gain acceptance from this neighborhood''s homeless community, you must go through their initiation For one week you must obey all requests and demands Behave submissively Surrender 25% of all food to the boss (this lowers to 10% when initiation period is over) Quest difficulty: F Quest rewards: Acceptance, Sleeping bag, Lighter
The old man continued, "For starters, how about you massage my lower back? its been acing since 3 days ago." the old man promptly laid down in front of me, turning his back towards me, now that we were on the same level, i realized his stench was quite palpable. I know its for a quest, but as my gaze wanders to the filthy underwear that was dangerously close to the lower back I was supposed to massage, I realize II just cant do it. "No" I say in a low voice.
Quest Denied
The old man turned towards me angrily and screamed, "WHAT???!!!" He began standing up, and I do the same, I noticed the glances of the other people in the homeless group. they looked worried. But I dont care. I am no ones bitch, not in the real world as Deion Stone, not as Deus in this one. "If youre not gonna play by my rules, then get out!" the old man yelled again. "Make me." I said The old man displayed a feral grin and threw a wide hook at me. I block, but the impact throws me against the wall. He''s a lot stronger tan he looks... but he''s slow. He rushes in to finish the job with another hook, but I sidestep and he hits his fists on the wall. As he howls in pain, I close the distance I had made between us and threw three punches in rapid succession at his face. the impact made him unsteady, so I hit him with a solid front kick, and down he went. He tried to get up, but I put my foot on his chest and stepped down, hard. "Youre done." I said. It wasnt a question or a suggestion. Wow, I sure am surprised at myself, never thought I could b this ruthless. Hahahaha it must be due to my father''s classes on business. You want to see true ruthlessness, take those. Seeing my slight chuckle to myself, The old man kinda misunderstood. "Feeling cocky eh? hahaha takes me back. when I was your age, I did the same thing. Like hell I was doing that initiation shit." The old man gently nudged my foot off of him, and I could tell he was finished. After I let him up, the old man just walked away ''saying take good care of them''. He never looked back."Wait what?"

To Glory Author''s note: This chapter is from the POV of Damien. I wake up as the sunlight lands on my face through my window. A minute later, My hyrule themed alarm clock went off. I should really replace that. Im eighteen now, Im too old to still have all this anime junk. Then again... my father still has his and he''s in his late forties. God its embarrassing how much of an anime Junkie he is. You wouldnt even think when you see him that he was a hero, that he saved thousands of lives. Jason "The Viper". God what I would do to know that side of my father, the hero. They say he ''s fought gods,, that in his heyday, he was a monster, matched by only one man. But all I ever see is the ''American Otaku''. After his victory, apparently he came straight back to Louisiana, and settled down here in this backwoods town. Eventually the world forgot about him and focused on the other guy, Jameson Stone or whatever. Its only 6 am, so I go and get dresses and go out to meet my dad in the woods, he has my hunting rifle waiting for me when I arrive. We hunt a couple rabbits and an alligator before it even its 8:30. That was one thing I did enjoy doing with my father though, hunting. He was incredibly good at it, he says its because of the Change, he feels the need to hunt. Whenever I ask him what the Change is, he goes silent. But looking and news clips from back in his ''hero days'' I already I know what it is. But I wont push him on it, not yet. I cut our hunting session short and jog back to the house. The game I just bought, Thera goes online at 9, so I gotta be ready. i''m going to bring back the prestige the Delacroix family deserves, and this game is the perfect way to do it. Half the celebrities nowadays rose up from playing virtual reality video games. I may not be a hero like my dad, but I will do our name, MY name, justice. I hop in my capsule and start it up
Welcome to Thera, what is your name?
"Viperion" I say.
The only race available right now is human, would you like to alter your appearance?
"No" Doing that would defeat the whole purpose of gaining prestige.
Where would you like to start?
"Random" I don''t exactly know where I''m going, so I might as well let the system decide. Suddenly It gets super bright and I''m blinded by the light, and I feel extremely unsteady. Its like the morning after Mardi Gras man. When it clears up, I''m in a forest, with sounds of gunfire directly in front of me. I hit the ground immediately and crawl through the bushes. There are two different sides hooting at each other. The brown uniforms and the grey uniforms. At one glance, it was easy to tell that the grey uniforms would win. their guns were semi-automatic rifles, and they made better use of the trees for cover. The brown uniforms were using handguns and manual rifles. This story has been stolen from Royal Road. If you read it on Amazon, please report it A brown uniform fell near me, and it was a guy around my age, a little young for a soldier. He looked me in the eye as he bled out. With the last of his strength, he pushed his rifle near me, and whispered "Help us." Then he breathed his last. Welp, all I needed was an invitation, not like I have anything better to do! I wonder why that didnt activate a quest or something though... oh well. I grab the rifle and a notification pops up.
Stalker M2 Rifle Damage 40-43 per shot 8 rounds per clip 3 mods available
Hmm? That Damage though! its pretty high, but there''s only 8 shots before reload. But this is the type of gun I''ve used all my life, let me show these browns how to use it! I grab the gun and whatever ammo I can find on the guy. Then as I retreaat further into the bushes, I rise to a crouching position. I aim at the soldier who seemed to be suppressing my new allies the most, and fire at his head. As soon as the shot goes off, I get back down and move to a new position, and aim at the person barking the most commands. by this time, Im pretty much perpendicular to their formation. I fire again. By the time I kill 4 more, The enemy knows something isnt right. Theyve lost alot of ground to the brown uniforms and have only around 15 left of the thirty they had when I first arrived. They take a circular formation now, and begin retreating. How about a parting gift. I take aim and wait until the timing and angle is juuuust right, then shot one guy throught the head and watched the bullet hit the guy behind him. Double-kill~ I''m so L337. As the soldiers begin to run away, I emerge from my hiding place and cockily wave good-bye. The people in brown uniforms approach me warily with weapons still drawn. I turn around slowly and hang the rifle over my back using the attached strap, then put my hands up. One of the browns step forward, and speaks "State your name." I smile and respond "Viperion" "Viperion what?" "Just Viperion" After this short exchange the man seemed to be no less wary and continued to question me. "Where are you from?" "I dont know" I respond. "Why did you help us?" he asks. "Because he asked me to" I say, pointing to the dead body three hundred yards away of the guy who''s rifle I took. The man looked somewhat confused and asked"Really?" I nod. "Just because of that?" I nodded more. "You dont know what the hell is going on, you just started shooting." I nodded even more emphatically. "Well uh, shit you wanna come with us?" "Sure" I said. The man smiled and said "Welcome to the brotherhood " Everyone put away their weapons. A bunch of notifications appeared, but one stood out the most.
New Title: Terrorist! +200 infamy -100 reputation with all governments +200 reputation with all outlaws
"Shit." Feel the rage Authors note: We will be using Deus'' POV for a while. Well.... This is unexpected. What am I supposed to do with a group of homeless people? I don''t even want to be homeless in the first damn place! Well.... I don''t think I have enough money to actually buy a house but.... whatever. Might as well take things in stride, well, first things first, lets distribute these stat points! Let''s see, I have 30, but I don''t have a class¡ well, I think I¡¯ll do it this way, 15 in STR, 5 in AGI, 15 in LUCK. It seems I¡¯ll be roaming the streets for now, so a bit of luck never hurts, might find some cool stuff in the garbage. I turn towards the homeless. Some of them look happy, finally rid of that oaf. Some of them look scared, probably thought I was the same way. Others just didn''t care and were getting ready to start their day. ¡°So uh¡. how does this usually go?¡± I ask. A timid looking lady spoke up ¡°Um we used to give Big Daddy Earl used to take a tenth of our food for protection against thugs and drunks and mean kids who would throw rocks at us.¡± immediately I heard whispers behind her ¡°idiot, don''t tell him about the food!¡± ¡°what if he wants more!?¡± I sighed. ¡°Listen, I¡¯m not taking any of your food, but uhh... tell you what, you can choose to give me 10% of any money you get and I¡¯ll improve these back alleys. i mean, I¡¯m guessing that the one tent here belonged to -pfft- Big Daddy Earl¡. pahahaahahha¡± I can¡¯t hold it together. I can''t seriously call that guy big daddy Earl. After recovering from my laughter, I continue, everyone who actually cares is a little more relaxed after hearing i won''t be taking their food but¡ ¡°How do we know you won''t just take the money and spend it on whores?¡± Some lady said. Thats actually a pretty good question. I¡¯m not entirely sure how to answer, but I¡¯ll try anyway. ¡° I can''t prove I''m a good guy, but if I do anything like that, feel free not to ever give me money again.¡± Murmurs run through the small crowd numbering less than two dozen. I never was good at politics, I don''t think they''ll trust me quite yet. ¡°Well think it over, I¡¯m about to leave for a sec anyway. Anybody have a map?¡± It''s best not to push them on the idea for now. A young guy around my age hands me a map ¡° Here you go boss, I still have a few from before the police took down my tour guide operation. Assholes. But why do you need a map? Are you not from here?¡± He asked, puzzled. I¡¯m not sure if I should just drop the bomb that I¡¯m from another world. In other games, the npc¡¯s can tell that you''re not one of them, there may be a reason for that, so I just say ¡®sort of¡¯ and quickly exit the alleys. Wow, I heard all the traffic last night, but this city is huge. They said this was a modern world, but looking at architecture and the vehicles being driven, I¡¯d say it looks more like New York in the 40s. Model T looking cars and shuttle buses are all over the place. I check the map. It looks like the library I¡¯m headed for is around 10 blocks south. I figure hitting the library would be the best option here, I need knowledge. plus in all my other games I''m usually a mage type. I''m not sure if thats the way I¡¯ll be going, or if its even possible, but keeping the option open is in my best interest. I begin jogging down the street. Looks like this isnt the best part of town, I see other colonies of homeless here and there, and children not in school, playing in the streets. I go down around 5 blocks, then out of nowhere, I see a fist lash out at me. In the real world I possibly could have dodged at last second, but here I just didn''t have enough AGI. The result was that I was knocked off my feet but because of my previous momentum I tumbled another few feet forward. ¡°Ughh¡¡± That hurt. It seems I have both the daze and the stun statuses afflicting me as well as half my health gone.I feel two sets of arms pull me up and drag me into an alley. The daze status begins to wear off, and I see someone in front of me. Some middle aged pale guy with slicked back hair wearing a homeless man¡¯s attempt at formal clothing. God, he even altered that thin, dingy button up shirt to look like a suit jacket. It may be dark colored but I can still see the plaid, its a knit shirt, I know it is!!! ¡°Hello, child I am Mr. Vale lord of 92nd street blocks D through G. I heard you injustifiedly deposed a good friend of mine. That has made me literally upset, my boy. Now he never asked me to do this, but he didn''t have to, for I am an ultimeous friend. Give Earl his deposition back. You won''t like the alterderivative¡± ¡ I wanna die of laughter. the only thing keeping me from laughing during his whole speech was this stun status, and now it was wearing off. This guy was obviously trying to put on the most obnoxiously fake ¡°rich english gentleman¡± accent I ever heard. And every word larger than three syllables, he used incorrectly or made up.While looking down I suppress the smile on my face with every ounce of mental and strength i can muster.
New Stat: Fortitude +10
¡°Hihihi!¡± oh god I gained a new stat for it!!! I can''t keep it together! I already let out a little giggle. My whole body is trembling. It seems he didn''t hear my giggling because he continues: ¡±I say child, no reason to tremble in fear, its a simple request. You¡¯ll be fine after you do what I say and scurry along like a good little boy, I¡¯ll only hurt you if you don¡¯t do as I say.¡± This story has been unlawfully obtained without the author''s consent. Report any appearances on Amazon. Now that¡¯s not funny. I hate being looked down at, and i don''t tolerate threats. I¡¯m gonna kick this guy¡¯s ass! Wait, didn''t something like this already happen with Earl? I think I have an anger problem¡ anyway, I just need to stay cool. I still beat his ass, I just have to remain calm, right? I stand up, still being held by the goons and address this ¡®Mr. Vale¡¯: ¡°Sir, I was under the impression that you were a gentleman, and yet this,¡± I raise my arms showing where I¡¯m restrained, ¡°is how you hold a conversation?¡± Vale looks stunned for a moment, then says ¡°Of course, how rude of me, I¡¯m so used to handling these knaves, I have forgotten manners for a moment. Unand him, boys¡± Oh this guy is so easy. I wonder why he¡¯s so caught up on appearances? Wait is this guy wearing cheap cologne too? No, Focus!!!! I can laugh about him as much as I want. Now that I am unfettered by henchmen, I begin slowly walking around, under the pretense of stretching. My aim is the stick in the corner near the exit. ¡°Now, Mr. Vale your request has put me in quite the precarious situation, as such swift changes in leadership may leave the people stupefied.¡± As I thought, my use of a high school level vocabulary is impressing him, as well as causing him to drop his guard. ¡°I see child, but I¡¯m afraid it has to happen, I can''t take no for an answer!¡± He says, while trying to wear an understanding smile. A rat! That¡¯s it, that¡¯s what he looks like! A rat in a wannabe suit. Now I¡¯m by the stick however. I have no use for this facade. I grab the stick and say ¡°Too bad. I like being the boss, if you don''t like it you can go to hell you greasy fake suit wearing vermin¡± I may not wanna be homeless, but I don''t want these assholes to have what they want, fuck them! Wait till I level up,I¡¯m beating all their asses! ¡ Wow, I think I should seriously get this anger thing checked out after I slaughter them all. Vale looks absolutely livid. ¡°KILL HIM NOW!¡± he yells at his subordinates. They run at me with their hands outstretched. It actually looks kind of comical, they look like villains on old cartoons. Their levels are 5 and 6, but they''re unarmed. And I have the almighty stick!
Strong Stick. This stick was once used to prop up a small library table, but was later used as a walking stick for a heavily obese man. Its very sturdy. Durability 69/70 Damage 3-4
I lift the stick and take a stance. It must look right because the goons stop in their tracks and look at me warily. This is kinda embarrassing¡ but I don''t know how to use a weapon. I was taught how to use my hands, and for dire situations, the family handgun. One of the two attempts to rush me, and I hit him across the face with my stick reflexively. It kinda felt right, so I counter rushed him, and hit him two more times in the face, forcing him to attempt to cover his head with his arms in a sloppy guard. Hey, this weapon thing isn''t that hard! I was going to hit him again but then I hear is partner coming at me from behind. I swiftly turn and hit him in the neck. Then I kick him in the chest. I feel a blow hit the side of my head, and as my body staggers to the left, I see the other goon must have hit me. one hit took around 20% of my life, less than before because I wasn''t running into it. It still hurt though, so this one is definitely going to pay. I act as if I¡¯m going to attack the one on the ground, then when the goon rushes me, I step back and trip him. As soon as he falls I stomp as hard as possible on the back of his neck, breaking it with a sickening sound. The other one sees this, and in his rage attempts to tackle me. Instead of retreating, I step forward and greet his face with a rising knee. As soon as he hits the floor, he leaves the world the same way as his partner.
New Skill: Stomp Inflicts damage by stepping on your opponent 30% chance to break bones Base Damage: 20 costs 20 stamina

Level Up
Vales voice echoes throughout the alley, though he¡¯s nowhere to be found. ¡°I-I¡¯ll remember this kid! you watch ya back cause I¡¯m comin ya hear?!?¡± Oh god, I cant hold it in anymore "BAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!" he forgot to put on his fake voice! I wonder why he left though, to be honest, it was him I didn''t want to face right off. His thugs were level 5 and 6, but he was level 11. He must not fight often if he''s scared of me, but if he doesn''t¡ how did he reach level 11? Ahhhh oh well, I¡¯ll be back to snap his fragile neck another day. I take off in the direction I was headed to before: the library. Great class! kinda... ¡°Extra, Extra! Read all about it! Beings from parallel world have arrived!¡± A young boy was shouting from on top of a crate as he attempted to sell papers. I stopped my jog and approached the kid. I was only a few yards from the library, but that can wait. ¡°Hey kid, what you got there?¡± I asked. ¡°Ewww go away hobo!¡± Was the reply I received. ¡°WHAT THE HELL DID YOU JUST CALL ME BRAT???¡± I said instantaneously. Everyone in the immediate vicinity looked in our direction. The boy himself looked shocked. I should slap the shocked look off his disrespectful face, but I contain myself. ¡°How much for a paper?¡± I ask, slowly and deliberately. ¡°t-t-t-t-t-ten coppers sir.¡± the boy replied. I handed over the ten coppers, which happened to be all that I had. I then took the paper to a nearby bench and started to read. People are still glancing at me and whispering. A glare from me sent them on their merry way.
New Skill: Intimidation, passive 2% chance to cause fear upon entering battle. People are more likely to fear you. effects may vary
Well this seems kinda useful¡ and makes me feel like kind of an asshole. I mean that kid had asked for it right? and it¡¯s not like I actually hit him or anything¡.I just yelled a bit. Trying to get my mind of it, I began to read the paper in earnest. It seemed that the scientists in this world had began to pick up weird radio pulses. As the pulse continued, they began seeing changes in the flora and fauna of the world. They were¡ growing. After a time of pointless efforts to understand it with their current technology, they instead looked to the past. It seemed that last time this happened, otherworldly beings came down and changed the world. Though they doubted it would happen this time, due to all the fictional elements, like ¡®magic, and ¡®monsters¡¯, they still made preparations. And come the outworlders did. As well as the monsters. It seemed that militaries all over the world were doing their best to combat this new threat. However many of them had wars both foreign and civil going on as well. It seemed like the people in charge of the governments were complete assholes. Anyway, realizing the outworlders value, economically, culturally, and militarily, they built learning centers in all town centers for small towns, for big cities, city halls and libraries. This was to introduce the world to the outworlders, and apparently, show them how to get classes! And there was a library right behind me. I immediately got up turned around and walked in. The library was several stories tall, though I could tell that from the outside. But it was amazing how open it was. The only ceiling was on the top floor, and the other floors were more like extended balconies, only inside! God I wish I knew about architecture right now so I could understand what I''m seeing. The information center was in the center of the area, and looked more like a job convention to me. There were police, lawyers, doctors, military men, all of them had their own booths set up with all kinds of gadgets and pamphlets. There were already quite a few users here. Most of them looked somewhat older, but there were a few people his age. Or altered themselves to look his age. As I walked by, I was stopped by several different representatives, but I declined them all politely. At first. The whole thing started to get on my nerves. I couldn''t find a class that I wanted. The author''s content has been appropriated; report any instances of this story on Amazon. I mean soldier? I have respect for the military and alll, but that life is not for me. Taking orders all the time, doing everything at a set time in a certain way everyday. It wasn''t for me, I like my freedom. And police? HA! never trusted em. And it would be a sad day if i ever couldn''t trust myself. I was about to storm out, when I saw a person around my age slyly walk past the police booth and steal a revolver that was on display. It was done skillfully too, i¡¯ll bet no noise was made. He slid the gun into the inside pocket of his black overcoat. He turned towards me and he locked eyes with me. He realized I saw him, and I could see his muscles tense up, ready to fight or flee. I just gave a small smile and shrugged. I really don''t care what he was doing, but I have respect for a person with talent. Plus, I have no reason to tattle tale and make a bad name in the player community, that would make game life much harder. I was about to leave once more when an angry shout caught my attention. ¡°Come on dude, you gotta let me try again man!.¡± A player seemed to be arguing with a scientist in front of a funny looking machine. ¡°I-i¡¯m sorry sir, but the result would be the same, and I warned you that it chooses your class based upon your own actions in this world and that I couldn''t undo it via the machine.¡± the scientist replied, obviously slightly afraid. ¡°Dude. I don''t. Want. To be. A Fucking. Trashlord.¡± The player said, visibly furious. The man from the police group came over and calmed the situation. When the guy left, he was still ultra pissed though. I mean, I think trashlord sounds kinda bad ass man¡ I guess its just me though. But now I know how I¡¯m going to get my class. I approach the scientist who was muttering something to himself. ¡°Hey, this machine gives classes right? I¡¯d like to use it.¡± The scientist looked up at me and said ¡°Umm I don''t know if that''s a good idea¡¡± ¡°Come on, I promise I won''t complain¡± I said, trying not to get annoyed with his indecisiveness. I dislike not hearing either yes or no. The man, almost as if sensing my hidden displeasure, said ¡°Well alright¡. but you have to know!
