Yes while the school will accept anyone that seems to have no other option in terms of schooling. However the teachers here don''t give a damn about the students roaming in these halls as long as these students don''t kill each other they''ll turn a blind eye to what happens to them and such the student body is comprise of three factions the first is those that see this as a their last opportunity at an education and put effort in their studies second is for those that see this as freedom from parents and teachers so do these student will be constantly doing whatever they want and cause trouble for the other students the third are those who just don''t care and just take advantage of the escalation system and lounge around. Then the it happened my IPhone got knocked out of my pocket and landed on the floor at the time I was relieved to know the case kept it from breaking but it seems the bleached haired kid noticed and stomped on it repeatedly until it stop working after that the bleached haired kid said. Bully 1 [hmm that''ll teach you to learn your place now don''t get cocky again] In that second I felt nothing but rage I know it sounds stupid that got angry for a phone but it wasn''t just that first off my family isn''t rich were a middle class family that''s still struggling with the move I got that from my older brother who''s still in America with his own family he got that for me as a hand-me-down before I left for japan so it has sentimental value my next reason is because of the fours attitude when I heard what the bleached haired kid said I got annoyed by it. The other three were terrified but decided jump me in all directions but then I slide my right foot towards the spiked black haired kid while moving my right hand to grab his jacket. By kicking his and making him lost his footing I pulled my hand and put my other hand on his shoulder and pulled his body over my body I threw him towards the bald kid. shocked the braided haired kid decided to give up on fighting me and decided to run, the bald kid and spiked haired kid got up and followed but I was not going to let him I ran towards them and chase after them in a few seconds the spiked haired kid trip and gave me the chance to pounce. When I got a hold of him he was screaming but I still punched him square in the nose after that I head-butted him he dropped soon afterwards. Next I increased in speed and got the bald kid then did a over the head throw to the ground then simultaneously punched him in the gut I might of knocked the wind out of the of him passing out. I was almost done but I saw he was nearing the stairs leading to the exit I couldn''t let him do that and did one last charge at him to finish him off I used my signature move when I caught up I grabbed his shoulder and pulled him to face me and drove my fist to his face and screamed. Gisou [DIIIIIIIOOOOOOOOO PUUUNCCCCCHHH!!!!] Chapter 2 A Small Chat with a Butler After beating the Idiotic four I proceeded to do some "passive aggressive negotiation" to get reprimanded for the broken phone, of course I can''t replace my old one since it was the last thing I got from my brother before leaving japan but I still needed a new phone. So after I asked(extort) the four to give me the money I need for my new phone I told to keep paying me till I could buy my new phone but then I heard someone talk. ??????? I was still in no mood for any crap the teachers but then the four try to use this chance to save themselves I guess they were going to pretend to be the victim''s and make me out to be a villain the teacher looking at the four groveling and then look at me in his eyes I could see he had already made his conclusion about the situation but I could see something else in his eyes it was indifference and greed. there were two reasons I didn''t fight the four till he broke my phone, one was because it would attract attention do you remember the people that took advantage of the freedom they got well they hold the biggest influence in the school in the school and they tend to form group''s or small gangs to expand their influence in the school for the four I just beat up they were a part of one of the three largest groups in the school. As for the second reason around a month ago in attempts to bring order to the school the principal decided to make a new role for the teacher if they start stopping student from running amok they gain a little bonus for their efforts as such things change a little emphasis on a little they only do it when there is a fight and they only pick someone at random probable the person they see throwing a punch. Teacher [w-wwhat are you saying are yo...] Gisou [I SHOULD BE SAYING THAT TO YOU IT''S TIME FOR CLASS AND YOU''RE JUST SITTING HERE WHAT KIND OF TEACHER ARE YOU!!!!!!] Gisou [GET BACK TO CLASS AND DO YOUR JOB NOW!!!!!!] The teacher wanted to say something to the screaming boy but was too scared to say anything what he saw was not a student but an animal an animal about to attack and the teacher knew he could not survive from the attack. So the teacher left stumbling the four turn their heads to see Gisou and turned pale from the sight and left to their class. I sighed from exhaustion and put my hand on my forehead and calmly went back to my class. I went back at a slow pace after all that has happened I didn''t feel like rushing to class besides it''s not like I''m going to get in trouble so I got back missing the first part of class and planned to miss the rest of class by sleeping the rest of it. when I got back to class I went straight to my desk to sleep placing my head down using my arms as a pillow that was what I planned to do but the problem was that someone was giving me death glances so I barely sleep. When went to see who it was I found the source it was a giant man who was very robust he had dark black hair and although he was only in high school he had a beard the man with the beard had large muscle that further made him a whole lot more intimidating. Gisou [(What did I do to get him so pissed)] I thought this but then remembered that incident that I just caused in the hallway and concluded that it was their boss, finding out that your guys got beat so one-sidedly that he must want to show the other gangs who''s top dog. Gisou [(Damn I really got myself in some trouble here)] It was my fault if I had not lost my cool I would have not had to deal with these people but those ass-hole''s broke my phone so I have no regrets. Having trouble sleeping I decided to figure out a way to get out of school without getting my ass kicked I know your going to say I could just fight my way out but the problem is that if I do I''ll be fighting in front of the teachers just being to get in trouble plus their boss probably take into consideration for the incident in the halls so he''ll probably bring more guys to jump me I could take on those four but that''s only if I can scare them I''m still only human so I have my limit. I should be able to leave if I can get the minute the bell rings since the four should only have told the man with the beard so I have a chance to leave for the day. However I heard a snicker it was from the bleached haired kid he turned his towards the blackboard facing the teacher did he do it thinking about his boss beating me senseless or was their something else this time I had my head up completely because of everything that was happening around me knowing the sudden change in attitude from the guy scared out of his mind but now he''s confidante and had his old arrogant self back so I felt like they had planned something for me as revenge. The guy at the window must be their incase I tried to bolt for the door I look at the clock I had 45 minutes, 45 minutes to come up with a plan to avoid getting capture by his boy I memorized the hallway I walked every day for a year now and the usual pattern that bearded man''s group used in their fights which I know because they always fought I front of the school until a month ago I used these to help me make a plan. [DIIIING DOOOOONG DIIIIING] The bell rang signaling the start of the events to come I got out of my chair and grabbed my bag and ran towards to the door, the four plus the boss ran at from my left in front of me the guy hiding beside the door open up and ran towards me, however I had grabbed one of the chairs before he opened the door I pointed the legs at him I rammed the chair getting him caught on the chair and threw the chair with the guy still caught in the chair towards the five and left the classroom and was able to gain a few seconds distance I veered right and ran full speed down the hallway in hopes to reach the end hall it wasn''t long after that the five came out of the classroom and started to chase after me if I could just get to the end I could be safe and out of the school. I kept running till I reach a hallway that was to my right a man came at me with a bat swinging towards me but then I swung my bag to his head and grabbed the bat with my other hand I pulled the arm and the swung him towards the five taking the bat and knocking the five plus the guy who used to have the bat after that I left and continued down the hall I eventually reached the end of the hall but then about seven guys were in front of me coming from the two hallways connecting the hallway I was in they all look like they want to attack me but before that I grabbed a janitor locker that was beside me and used it to ram at them with in that moment I reached the exit and jumped it wasn''t a door or a staircase it was a window I jumped out of the window making a superman pose as I grabbed the tree that was two meters from me I then swung my body like a pro gym- BRIIIIK Gisou [(EH!?!?)] The branch from the tree broke and I plummeted to the ground. On my way back home I decided to check out the store''s to do some window shopping since this month''s paycheck was spent on Code Breaker, Noragami etc. etc. I had no money to spend however I did find it enjoyable to see what was on display so I took my time and left after an hour of window shopping. When I left I the bookstore I decided to head straight home but before I did I noticed something rather peculiar on one of the streets there was a many dressed in what looked to be a butler uniform standing in the middle of the streets with a sign made of cardboard that said this. If the guy got hit he could get hurt enough to need to go to the hospital but if he really was invisible he can''t get the medical attention he needs this was what I thought during the situation and decided to help I ran to the guy in the street to push him out of the way. However the moment I touched him he grabbed the sleeve and threw me out of the way I was flunged toward the sidewalk and landed with a thump, surrounded by people asking questions. My head was ringing from the impact, my body was sour, My vision was blurry I could barely make out from what I could see was a black blur standing still and white blur rapidly charged at the black blur but in a moment the black blur rolled over the white blur leaving the white blur to continue on after that my vision returned to see what was the black blur it was the butler. The butler turn and faced my direction and started to walk towards me after a few seconds he was standing in front of me, due to a combination of a bunch of people crowding the sidewalk, the sudden events that transpire a moment ago, and the blurry vision I had not long ago I could see the butler''s face all I saw was his costume and the sign, but the moment I got to see his face he looked to be European he has dark brown hair combed neatly and light yellow eyes that show a sign of intelligence and seriousness to them but the thing that the most was it, I was in shock at what I saw it was a thing of beauty, something that no normal person could catch a glimpse of, it was something that was blessed by god himself. Chapter 3 An Irriatating Smile Part 1 I open the door to my house and went inside,I kicked off my shoes and went straight to my room because of the events of today I was exhausted and wanted to take a nap I had a day-off from work so I was fine, remembering the fight with the Idiotic Three, running from the lynching mob, the near death experience from the car accident, being told I was supposed to save some world. All of this has taken a toll on me mental and physical state. I left the entrance to my house and went straight to my room but before I got to my room I saw a person on my living room couch it was my mom, she had her shirt pull semi-off only having her head and arms covered, showing her chest and stomach. On the table next to the couch was a beer bottle and a ashtray filled with cigerette buds. Gisou [(so she got drunk again and passed out on the couch, geez you could have at least got to your room before you stirpped)] I let out a sighed and went to my room, my house is to put it bluntly rather crappy this because my family suddenly had to moving couple that with my mom barely trying to get a job and then topped that with her constant drinking and it becomes almost impossible for her to get a job. As such it is the job of the Nisemono siblings to go out start working to pay the bills and put food on the table. However because i¡¯m still in highschool I can¡¯t get a real job so I have to stick to part-time jobs until i¡¯m old enough and my older sister to do the grown up jobs. I got to the bathroom and removed my clothes and like some tradition I took a peek at the mirror and saw a bunch of old bruise marks, cigarette burns, and scars covering my body, they were memories of the past reminder that could not fade. After completely removing my clothes I got in the shower, I didn¡¯t want to waste water so it only took about 2-3 minutes to finish when got I out I wiped the steam of the mirror to brush my teeth and saw my face. I had light beige colored hair and just like my sister I had bright blue eye¡¯s, just by looking at me you¡¯d be be surprise that I was japanese but when anyone asked I just tell them I was half-japanese. I Looked from behind the corner of the kitchen to see why Mom was angry. I saw a broken ashtray on the ground shattered into several broken pieces and my sister trying to calm mom down. Mom looked to be drunk again, she was wobbling around barely able to stand, her eyes were very hazy, her face flushed and she stumbled on her every word in her left hand was a beer bottle prepped and ready to hit someone, while looking around some my eyes eventually met with Furyo when I saw her she looked to me mouthing the words Furyo [Leave i¡¯ll be fine.] I shifted my eyes away and left the room not looking back. Chapter 4 An Irriatating Smile Part 2 __________________________________________________________________________ Furyo¡¯s P.O.V Furyo [Mom please calm down, i¡¯m sorry I didn¡¯t see where I was going, I was tir¡­..] Mei [Shut up!! I¡¯m sick and tired of your excuses!!] Mom was screaming and I tried to calm her down but sadly she wasn¡¯t listening to me, Mom was wearing a normal white undershirt with one side untucked from her short black skirt barely covering her knees, over her shirt she wore a leather jacket that showed some stains on the her sleeve, from the chest area of her jacket were breast pockets on each side, what came from her bright red lips was a bunch of slurred gibberish and from her face showed an tired expression showing why she was angry. She must''ve got drunk from some party and came back, Mom gets angry very easily when she¡¯s drunk. Mom continued to scream like that for about three minutes, then I saw someone in the corner peeking at me it was Gisou my little brother standing in the corner watching me. Gisou and I stood across each as Mom contiuned to scream, our eyes meet but it wasn¡¯t like one of those cliches used in romance novel no Gisou¡¯s eyes were filled with fear and caution while mine were filled with concern and anxiety . Mei [What the hell are you looking at, I¡¯m talking to you!!] Mom turned to where I was looking at but before she could see him, Gisou ducked behind the corner and then after a moment Mom turned back to me and said in a low whisper. Mei [I don¡¯t know what you are looking at but I can probably guess that it¡¯s that waste of space brother of yours!] Furyo [HE¡¯S YOUR SON TOO YOU KNOW!!!!!!] I snapped and raised my voice involuntarily at Mom, her expression grew from mad to furious in seconds and continued to scream at me louder then. Mei [I am your mother!! do you really think you can raise your voice like that at me!!] We kept yelling at each other for a bit, then Gisou returned to peek at me and Mom arguing. I saw him and mouthed a few words at him in hope that he¡¯d leave us. Furyo [Leave i¡¯ll be fine] Ever since we were kids Gisou and I were good at reading each others mouths when we did we¡¯d make jokes to each other by mouthing our words with no one being able to understand what we were saying so they became sort of like inside jokes so when I told him to leave he got it instantly. After seeing my words Gisou diverted his eyes away from me and left without any hesitation, no concern, no fear for my safety, he just left and I was happy about it at least he wasn¡¯t gonna get dragged into this again, sadly however Mom saw it and grew in frustration. She lifted the bottle in her hand over her shoulder and swung straight down down. BAM!!!!!!! My shoulder was hit by the bottle simultaneously breaking in the process I felt a numb pain surged through my body, Mom threw the bottle to the side of the kitchen floor and then kicked my feet causing me to fall to the floor she then proceeded to kick me in the stomach. It didn¡¯t hurt as much as you would think, after all I have gotten accustomed to it after 10 years of beatings Mom then grab the collar of my shirt and said this. Mei [I¡¯ll make sure you understand your position] Then she let go of my collar and I dropped to the floor Mom then quickly moved her leg towards my stomach to stomp it. THUMP KIIIIIICSSSSSSSHHHHH!!!!!!! A loud thud could be heard followed by the sound of glass breaking and then ending with the sound of glass shards hitting the ground, The sound lead to the hallway and we both heard it, Mom left me on the ground and ran towards the hallway where the sound came from, I on the other hand was exhausted but got up knowing who caused that noise, when I finally got up I heard someone screaming in rage. Mei [What the hell!! Are you out of your mind!!] When I heard the screaming I didn¡¯t think of anything I just started running to the hallway fearing of what may happened if I wasn¡¯t there to stop it. Furyo [(Gisou not again)] When I came to the scene of the crime I saw my Mother on top of someone in the mounting position beating on him repeatedly over and over again with her fist, the person on the ground being beaten by her was Gisou he shielding himself the best he could from the beatings unable to move. I ran to my Mother and grabbed her to pull her away from him but then Mom let out a scream and said this. Mei [WHY YOU LITTLE BRAT!!!!!!!!!!!!] Mom became angrier than before and desperately tried to break out of my hold, but I was able to stop her. __________________________________________________________________________ Narrator''s P.O.V bang! bang! bang! bang! bang! Loud short sounds of fists hitting something rang in the hallway, a woman who appeared to be around her 40¡¯s was on top of a young teenage kid beating him with her fist repeatedly. The middle-aged woman was Mei and she was furious. After Mei got home from a party she was at, she wanted to lounge around, when she got back home she wanted to drink some more so she went to the kitchen and grabbed a 40 ounce and a ashtray and went to the living room to watch TV, she would routinely run out and would get up to grab a refill but when she did she¡¯d bring her ashtray with her there was no explicit reason why it was just a bad habit of her¡¯s when she was drunk. Mei stumbled towards the kitchen knocking over a bunch of thing¡¯s in the process but when she was near the door. [Thump Biiishhhiit] The sound of glass shattering rang throughout the room, the ashtray slipped from her hand and fell to the ground breaking in the moment it hit the ground. The person who bumped into Mei was her daughter Furyo she must¡¯ve not seen her because she was drunk coupled with the fact the both of them were in a rush for their own reasons. It was just an accident but to Mei all she cared about was her broken ashtray, her switch was flipped and she got angry she then took the empty bottle and smacked Furyo¡¯s shoulder with it. Mei [What the hell are you doing you broke my ashtray!!!!] Mei began to yell at Furyo while at the same time Furyo kept trying to calm her down, the scene was like that of a man calming a guy with a gun. Eventually Mei pushed one of Furyo¡¯s button that shouldn¡¯t be pushed. Mei [I don¡¯t know what you are looking at but I can probably guess that it¡¯s your punk of a brother isn¡¯t it!] That was a trigger that caused Furyo to go bullistic, although this was not the first time Mei insulted Gisou but it was the first time she said she didn¡¯t acknowledge that he was her son because of that Furyo couldn¡¯t just sit there at let it happen especially after all that she did to him. Furyo [HE¡¯S YOUR SON TOO YOU KNOW!!!!!!!] That was also a trigger for Mei too, she then raised the empty bottle in her hand over her shoulder and swung the bottle down towards Furyo¡¯s shoulder. Furyo [ARRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGH!!!!!!!] Furyo began to scream in pain but Mei ignored it she then immediately kicked Furyo¡¯s legs causing her to drop to the ground. With the bottle broken, Mei got rid of and decided to kicked Furyo in her stomach keeping her from getting back up then when she was finally done Mei moved her legs towards Furyo¡¯s stomach in one fluent motion she wanted to deal the final blow but before she could, the sound of glass breaking could be heard coming from down the hall. Mei was surprised she turned towards the hall and ran out of kitchen to find out what happened only to find the lone Gisou standing in the middle of the hall with both of his hands clench tight, in one hand had small shards of glass embedded in his knuckles along with blood dripping from it, the other hand however seemed to be unscathed but was beet red from how hard he was clenching it, on the ground was a broken picture frame with glass shards and blood near Gisou¡¯s feet his eyes were down-casted making it so no one could see what expression he was making. Mei was at her breaking point, to her everyone around her was just making her angrier and angrier than before now she just snapped, Mei charged straight at Gisou and pushed him down on ground, she got on top of him and starts to beat on him with her fist, she kept punching him and punching him till his face was covered in blood. It was then that Furyo came to the hall and pulled Mei off Gisou before she killed him but what happens next was something that was unusual, ¡°Gisou was smiling¡±, he was smiling even after being beaten to a bloody pulp and it was not the kind of smile of glee or joy, it was a condescending smile meant to piss someone off and it did just that. Mei [WHY YOU LITTLE BRAT!!!!!!] Like a mouse caught in a trap Mei became furious and insulted by Gisou and she tried to answer that with violence, Mei was frashing about trying to get out of Furyo¡¯s arm but couldn¡¯t, it looked like she wanted to kill him, Furyo then threw her away from Gisou to the other end of the hall, Mei still wanted to finish what she started with Gisou but Furyo didn¡¯t want that. Mei [get outta my way I need to ¡°handle¡± the brat over there!!!!] Furyo [No do you hear yourself by ¡°handle¡± you mean to continue beating him over what, a broken photo! Just end this now Mom] Mei [Do you hear yourself!!! Even when it was clear that Furyo was a lot stronger then her Mei still continue to scream at her telling her to let her go, but all that changed when she made eye contacted with Furyo she was very mature for her age and wasn¡¯t someone that would get angry often, Furyo had to take care of her eight-year old brother at a very young age, so you could say she had no choice but to mature quicker then most kids her age. she¡¯d also never take any aggressive action even when her Mother insulted Gisou by calling him a ¡°Waste of Space¡± she wouldn¡¯t even go as far as clenching her fist, but when Mei made eye contact with her she suddenly felt a dagger pointed towards her neck and was just inches away from piercing it. Mei wanted to kept her eyes away from Furyo¡¯s, she didn¡¯t want to look at them anymore because she was just too afraid of what might happen to her, then Furyo spoke to Mei in a low tone. Furyo [Now leave him alone or else, NOW!!!!!!] Furyo let go of Mei¡¯s collar and she crawled away with tears streaking down her face, then Furyo let out a deep sigh and went to check on Gisou. __________________________________________________________________________ Narrator P.O.V Furyo [Hold still, this will only take a moment] Gisou [Owww!!!!] Furyo [Well thats what you get for purposely trying to hurt yourself] Gisou was sitting in the living room having Furyo dress his wounds, she also began to lecturing him about what happened, this was a rather common scene that happens in the Nisemono household. Michael [We must settle the formalities before the summoning can begin] Mei was surprised at how corporative he was being but quickly bounced back from it and began to settle the formalities. Mei [Ok what do I have to do] Mei replies with a smile Michael [Someone has to sign Gisou¡¯s real name to enter him in the contract Mei [oh really that¡¯s all I have to do] Michael [yes but not just anyone can do only one of his legal guardians can do] Mei [Oh what luck, well i¡¯ll just do that] Michael grabbed the contract that was kept in his tailcoat and threw it towards Mei¡¯s feet, she picked up the contract and wrote down Gisou Nisemono however not long after that the writing evaporated from the contract erasing Gisou¡¯s name. Mei [Hey what the hell happened, my signature vanished] Michael [Your supposed to write his ¡°real¡± name bitch!!!!!] Michael said through his teeth in rage Mei replied to that response by just staring at him with lifeless eyes not long after that Mei turned her face to the paper and signed his ¡°real¡± name. The room was dimly lit and the only lights in the room were small glowing yellow stones, the bed I woke up in was up against a wall from my left, from my right was a small end table and across from it was the door probably leading out of the room. Gisou [(Ugh, my head.)] My head felt like someone was driving a nail into it, I had a stuffy nose and my body suddenly felt cold when I removed my bed sheets to leave, but even after feeling like crap I still forced myself up out of bed trying to find some who knows where I am currently at but when then the room starts to spin. I tried to keep going but the room keeps spinning and spinning with each step I take eventually I find the door knob and turn it. Maid 1 [Dear Guest why are you out of bed?] When I open the door a young girl in a maid outfit appears from the front of it. She had short black hair with white streaks tied in a nice ponytail, her eyes shone like a beautiful sapphire gems and finally she had a small very pleasant smile. Maid 1 [Now then time for treatment.] She says this in a cheerful voice then almost on queue two maids come into my room carrying a large white briefcase with a large red cross on it. Gisou [(Strange don¡¯t they all look alike.)] That wasn¡¯t a joke they all look exactly alike right down to white streaks in her hair the only thing that was different. They had name tags that had a number on the right side of their chests. The two Maid look-a-likes placed the large briefcase on the ground and proceeded to open the lid, not showing me the contents of what is inside it. Gisou [W-What is that!] Maid 2 [What, isn¡¯t it obvious it¡¯s a medical kit.] Gisou [But why is it so big.] It was bigger than any other medical kit i¡¯ve seen before, it practically covered most of the floor. Then with a straight face I utter one single sentence. I tried to break free, I was failing my arms around, kick my legs and practically biting one of the maids hands like some rabid animal, but none of them budge hell each one of these maids were exerting strenght beyond anything a normal human being could, no should have. While I was doing this Maid 1 pulled out a small syringe from the medical kit, the syringe had some unknown black liquid inside it, the black liquid looked like it was boiling hot and was about to burst from the syringe. Gisou [What the hell is that!!!!!] Maid 1 [Medicine] Gisou [Get away from me!!!!!] Maid 1 [But if I do that you won¡¯t get better.] Gisou [I-I¡¯m fine, I-I don¡¯t need it.] Maid 1 just kept ignoring me and slowly walk closer to me with the syringe in hand. Step by step, inch by inch she got a little closer to me and I just more and more afraid of her. Gisou [Get away from me!, don''t come any closer. Maid 1 was standing right beside me and without a moment to lose she injected the black bubbling liquid into my neck. Gisou [NO NO NO NOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!] The liquid pooled into my bloodstream and my vision started to get blurry, the room started to spun again. My vision kept getting blurrier with each second I was conscious until I finally blacked out. __________________________________________________________________________ I woke up again to see the same wooden ceiling. Gisou [What the hell.] My head¡¯s throbbing again but this time my head feels like someone stuck a hose into my brain and started pumping air into it slowly making it bigger, It hurt so much that I just want the little digger to finally pop my brain. Maid 1 [Did you have a nice sleep Dear Guest?] Maid 1 spoke in a calm voice to get my attention, but the moment I heard her voice I jumped out of my bed and push the bed to it¡¯s side to use as a cover to hide from the demon standing right in front of me. Maid 1 [How rude!! Why do you have to act that way to little old me.] She puffs out her cheeks in a way that makes her look cute but I was not gonna let her fool me again. Gisou [Just stay away from me, don¡¯t get any closer!!] Maid 1 [Now what did I do to deserve this treatment.] Gisou [YOU DRUGGED ME!!!!] I can¡¯t believe that she can act so innocent after she did that.As she says this she puts her hands on her hips and lets out a grunt and says. Maid 1 [Oh come on! you act like a little medicine is gonna kill you.] Maid 1 [Beside it¡¯s not like you can do anything to stop me right.] She was right, I didn¡¯t have the strength to break from her look-a-likes hold and I have no idea if she just as strong. Maid 1 [If it makes you feel better there was another reason why I had to administer the drug so quickly.] Her expression had changed the once calm, almost carefree smile that she had disappeared and was left with a somber, more grim expression Maid 1 [If we left as you were, you would have died.] Gisou [{laughs}What?] I said jokingly, as you can see I didn¡¯t believe that I was in any danger, I mean I¡¯ve had colds before and nothing life threatening happened to me, even after going to school and work, having to deal with my mother and doing the cleaning around the house I was still fine. Maid 1 [It may not sound like it but I am serious.] Gisou [Then explain to me how I was gonna die from a simple cold.] Maid 1 [{Sigh} what you experienced was a side-effect people who get sent to our world.] Maid 1 [The cold you experience was caused by the sudden change in environment.] Gisou [Change in environment?] Maid 1 [Yes, this world carries many different bacteria then your world, plus our world has illnesses that could be fatal to people from your world.] While talking maid 1 goes towards the window that was beside the bed and opens it letting light into the once dark room. Dragon [RAAAAAGGWWWWW!!!!!] Suddenly I heard a large ear splitting roar coming from the window, Maid 1 as if on queue covered her ears from the loud roar. Gisou [THE HELL WAS THAT!?!?!] Maid 1 [Oh, thats probably the King playing with Pochi.] I edged myself closer to the window and peek outside to see Pochi. Gisou [(THATS POCHI!!!!!)] What I saw was a giant 10 mater(25ft) white dragon. The dragon stood on all four with feet covered with pretty white scales along with large pitch black dagger like talons protruding from them. His wings were folded and quite large, each were 20 ft in length. The wings were covered in the the pretty white scales covering the back and even the digits of each wings. His belly was grey in color as if a mixture of the pretty white and the pitch black talons. The head had a pair of black horns and a large set of sharp black teeth. The beast eye¡¯s shown a beautiful gold color. I was of course surprised by the beast but I wasn¡¯t frighten, this was because the dragon was running around trying to catch and large metal pole as if it a dog playing fetch with it¡¯s owner. The dragon had an expression of joy, panting from exhaustion and the beast¡¯s tongue was hanging from it¡¯s mouth, flopping around like a rag doll. Maid 1 was able to somehow muster enough strength to lift the bed up place it back on it¡¯s legs. Michael [My oh my, it seems that our guest has finally woken up from his long rest.] While I was watching the dragon play keep away with the pole, Michael snuck into the room. Michael [Gisou how are you feeling today, Your body must be really sore after sleeping for two weeks.] Gisou [Two weeks!!!] Gisou [(How was I sleeping for two weeks.)] Maid 1 [{clears throat} I''ll explain the drug I used on you was something that helps cure ailments but the side effects are drowsiness.] Gisou [I thought you said that healing magic didn''t work that way.] Maid 1 [Yes, it doesn¡¯t work like a beam of light but we can use it to improve the effect on medicine.] Gisou [I see.] Michael [{coughs} Anyways Munin could you let me and Gisou talk for a bit please. Theres some things I like to talk about in private.] Munin [Ah sure anyways I¡¯ll be on my way then, bye Dear Guest.] Giosu [Bye bye~, Maid 1~] Munin [Oh by the way could not call me that, like what Michael said my name is Munin.] Gisou [Eh~ but from the looks of it you don¡¯t seem to mind calling the other maids in a smilar fashion right.] Munin [I see] Gisou [besides I like the name.] Munin [{Sigh} I guess so.] {Door shuts} Gisou [....] Michael [......] {Cool wind breeze} The fresh air was nice it was almost like when you finally able to smell the fresh spring air after many many months of winter, however I was unable to enjoy such a feeling because of the tense atmosphere that filled the room. Gisou [....] Michael [......] Well this was awkward, we just kept like this for a while, neither wanting to speak to other. Eventually someone spoke up and that person was me. Gisou [What happened.] I said this in a apathetic, almost hostile voice. Michael [....] Michael continued to stay silent, which made my impatient Gisou [Answer me!!!] I was considered an even tempered kid, when you have to juggle school, work, chores and trying to avoid making Mom angry you could say that it was something I developed over time. But if Michael gonna keep quite like this, the I¡¯m not gonna keep calm. After hearing my demands Michael pulled something out of his tailcoat and placed it on the end table beside my bed a small wooden cylinder with a metal cap screwed on one end. Michael [Please look at this and then I¡¯ll start explaining things.] I took it off the end table and removed the cap, bunch of papers slid out of the cylinder and on to the bed. The paper were rolled up and tied together by a small blue ribbon, what quickly caught my attention was the writing on the outside of the paper, the handwriting was neat and pretty telling me it was written by someone very sophisticated. I picked up the papers and removed the ribbon, but I was surprise to find out that both sides of the paper had something written on it and checking the individual pages I find that all of the pages were the same not just the front page. Gisou [Do I really have to read all of this.] Michael [{laugh} no there¡¯s just one article you need to see.] Gisou [Ok] Michael [Anyways, these are rules and regulations that need to be followed in order to summon a ¡°champion¡±] Gisou [¡°champion¡±?] Michael [Thats what we call the people who come to this world, well not everyone only the ones that came to serve as our hero.] Michael [Anyways, thats not important right now, what¡¯s important is the one rule you need to see here let me see.] I hand the rules over to Michael and then he starts skimming through them, eventually he stops at one of the pages and hands me the page over to me and points at a specific clause. Contract rules [Number_ Must get the consent of the champion or a legal guardian.] Gisou [Wha¡­?] Michael [Excuse me I¡¯ll explain, when someone wishes to be a champion we have them sign a contract to complete the arrangement, this contract act as a sort of waiver preparing them for what¡¯s to come.] Gisou [Ok I get that part, but where does my mom fit into all of this, no more like why is the legal guardian part even in there.] Michael [There¡¯s a procedure we have to follow in order to finalize the deal, first we come to them, the champions, and ask for there help if they say yes we would ask for them to wait as we settle some matters and if they say no we leave them alone and never bother them again, third if they gave me something similar to your answer Gisou then will leave them alone and settle the matters ahead of time.] Gisou [What matters?] Michael [Matters like telling their parents and or other people that might wonder if they were to suddenly disappear.] Michael [Now then, the second thing we do for a procedure was like I said earlier tell their parents, since they will start wondering if their child were to suddenly vanish. However there¡¯s another reason for telling their parents, the other reason is for the parents to sign a release form telling them to keep quiet about the summoning.] Gisou [Why go through the trouble of doing that?] Michael [That is something beyond my knowledge.] Gisou [Yeeeet your the one doing these procedures in the first place.] Michael [I am sorry for my inability to help you.] Gisou [Ok I kinda get what you''re implying here, so one of my legal guardians signed the consent form and thats why I¡¯m here. But there¡¯s one thing I don¡¯t get, why am I here when I didn¡¯t make the agreement.] Michael [That..well thats because of a loophole in the contract.] Gisou [loophole?] Michael [Here, take a look at the clause again please.] Michael points at the same clause that I saw before. Contract Rules [Number_ Must get the consent of the champion or a legal guardian.] Gisou [(Ok I still don¡¯t get it, maybe if I look a little bit closer.)] Contract Rules [Number _ Must get the consent of the champion ¡°or¡± a legal guardian.] Gisou [So~ this maybe a shot in the dark here but could the loophole be this ¡°or¡± in the clause?] Micheal [Yes, the clause doesn¡¯t technically say that we need to have both parties consent in order to complete the contract, all we need is someone to sign the contract and then it would be complete.] Michael [Because of this, most of the ¡°Champions¡± had something in common. It was their ¡°families¡±. Orphans, people with terrible home life, people that didn¡¯t have the attachment to them.] Gisou [I see but wait why were you in middle of the road when we first meet?] Michael [Ah that, well that on the other hand is a little complicated, if I had to explain it then I would have to explain magic as well, So let¡¯s just save that for another time ok.] Gisou [{Sighs} Fine.] Michael [.......] This all felt bleak, even if I know why I¡¯m here that doesn¡¯t mean that I can go back. Gisou [Is there anyway for me to return home.] Michael [Yes there is a way to send you back.] Gisou [!!!!] Gisou [Really!?!? there is a way back!] I was elated, if there was way home then there¡¯s no problem if I were to head back home right? Michael [Yes, the rules state that if the ¡°Hero¡± desires it then we are obligated to comple.] When he said that the smile on my face disappeared, those words alone shot all hope of me leaving anytime soon. Gisou [If the ¡°Hero¡± desires it.] Michael quietly nodded and I pretty much died right there. I thought it was weird why was I called a champion¡­no why were we called ¡°champions¡± instead of ¡°hero¡±. (I¡¯m assuming there are more people beside me who took up this since Michael said that Champions had something in common) Michael [The reason we call you ¡°Champion¡± is because of this clause, since your not consider the ¡°Hero¡± yet the clause doesn¡¯t apply to you.] Gisou [Is this another one of your ¡°loopholes¡± Michael.] Michael [.......] Would this still be consider a loophole, I mean all they did was just changed the title from Hero to Champion. Michael [Technically you are consider a Hero the moment you signed the contract but this countries King has done everything in his power so that people think differently.] Gisou [What the..] Hearing Michael¡¯s words was painful, it was almost like he was stabbing me in the heart over, and over again, and the pain just kept growing in intensity. Michael [However In order to be consider a ¡°Hero¡± in the eyes of everyone else you must kill the King of Teufel.] Gisou [!!!!!!] Suddenly Michael¡¯s words that once gave me nothing but pain instead gave me hope and joy. Gisou [What really, there¡¯s a way back!!!] Michael [Ahhh, y-y-yes you will become the ¡°Hero¡± the moment the king dies. When that happens there should be nothing that could keep you from returning home.] Gisou [Really.] After hearing this, I started grinning from ear to ear. My only chance at returning home was right there, right in front of me, and all I had to do was become the hero. I may not be able to go home this instant; but, it¡¯s a whole lot better than never returning. Michael [Well anyways, Gisou. I swear on my good name, that I¡¯ll do everything in my power to help you return home. So please rest assured you will reunite with your family again.] Michael spoke this, and held his hand out, telling me to shake it. Gisou [....] Gisou [Yeah, thank you.] While keeping a wry smile on my face; I finally shook his hand. Michael [I hope we can get along.] Michael smiles back at me, but his smile is much more pleasant than mine. Gisou [If it¡¯s ok with you, can I be alone for a while? I need to sort my thoughts out a bit.] Michael [Then I¡¯ll take my leave, please don¡¯t push yourself ok.] Gisou [Ok] Michael [One last thing, your training will start the moment you''re starts improving.] Gisou [Then I¡¯ll start tomorrow, the sooner I get started, the sooner I can stop.] Michael [Didn¡¯t I just say not to push yourself.] Gisou [Don¡¯t sweat the little things.] Michael [Bu¡­ fine but if something happens to you during the training then you will immediately stop, ok.] Gisou [Ok~] We said our farewells and then Michael left the room. {Wind breezes} Gisou [Ahhh, the wind feels nice.] On that day I became a ¡°Champion¡±. But the thing was; no matter how hard I tried I couldn¡¯t see where this journey was gonna lead me. Important Annoucement: What Im doing with the series Hip Hip Hip Hooray!!! I''m free from the jaws of death they call school and with this I have a lot more time I can spend on Spirit Knight, which is why I''m dropping Spirit Knight. Before you start forming mobs let me just say that I''m not dropping Spirit Knight, I guess it''s better to say that I''m redoing it from scratch, When I was on break for my finals I wanted to come up with some ideas for the series; but when I did I notice something I made a lot of mistakes for this series, for example you know the school setting I had in the earlier chapters that would not be brought up ever later on in the story. Another one would be Gisou''s character, I can''t help but feel that he lacks one. All the things I had him do contradicts what I want his character to be. But even with these mistake, I''m still determined to continue this series. I will not give up this series and that is why I''m going to redo the series from scratch. There will be major changes to the series particularly the beginning and the MC''s personality and background. I''ll start over from the top.
