《The Undying》


 The beginning

    Toudou Kurogane, a normal high school student in modern day Japan. Everything about him seems normal. Although he is quite handsome for his age, none of the students got near him. He had that aura of someone that shouldn¡¯t be messed with.


    Even the classroom bullies wouldn¡¯t dare spark his wrath. However, they did once before.


    It was during his transfer day when he first arrived at his new High school. Upon arriving, the classroom was shocked at his appearance. Although he had scruffy hair, it only charmed his sharp yet undeterred gaze. The females nearly fainted at his appearance and even the female teacher had trouble maintaining her demeanor as the one in charge.


    The boys, however, were absolutely outraged by his uproar. Although they knew that it wasn¡¯t his fault rather it was his natural looks but they couldn¡¯t help but be jealous.


    After the teacher had trouble calming the students and herself, she told him to introduce himself¡­


    ¡°---My name is Toudou Kurogane. I would like for everyone to refrain from causing me unnecessary trouble or else things might get complicated.¡±


    This statement, of course was misunderstood. The females began to bark at him due to his haughty attitude and the guys glared at him for being an arrogant prick.


    He simply said this because he didn¡¯t want any trouble. He didn¡¯t want to be recalled back to clan due to conflicts.


    Yes, the clan. The Kurogane Clan. It is a clan that is solely based on secrecy and no one knew their origins. All they knew was that, whoever was in charge in the underground world, it wasn¡¯t some shady mafioso or some politician. It was a secret group that manipulated the world and he was a part of that clan.


    Thus begins the initial start of bullying.


    However, it only lasted one day.


    When a group of females lured him behind one of the school¡¯s building during their lunch break, a squad of 10 males ambushed him while the females scurried off.


    He knew there was something going on and he made sure to check for any security cameras. Luckily for him there weren¡¯t any behind this particular school building and it was good.


    Of course, the males knew about this. They wanted to beat some sense into him and they took full advantage of the fact that there were no cameras here.


    The 10 males, a few of them were part of the boxing club, began their assault. Four directly in front of him, one each on his left and right sides and the remaining four behind him.


    It was a well-closed formation, as it blocked the person within the formation from escaping.


    Toudou is a martial arts expert. Don¡¯t think that he¡¯s a part of the Kurogane clan due to his lineage, no. He forced the entire clan to recognize his strength.


    Toudou raised his hands in a quick manner and lunged a few quick thrusts with his index finger. Aiming at the two on his sides, he forces his index finger to lodge themselves into their throat, thus partially stunning them briefly, making them cough in a horrible manner.


    He could¡¯ve killed them but he didn¡¯t want to blatantly murder someone just because they misunderstood him.


    The 8 remaining guys charged but Toudou suddenly changed his position. He suddenly placed his entire gravity on the ball of his feet and jumped backwards. His body sprung into the air, gracefully into an arc and landed behind the four guys that charged from behind him.


    He landed softly on the ground with his foot firmly planted and the eight guys were dumbfounded.


    But before they could react, they felt an unimaginable force being emitted from Toudou¡¯s body. They felt indescribable fear. It was as if they stared into the eyes of a demon. Their bodies shivered and some of the guys defecated on themselves.


    With a quick dash forward, within the blink of an eye, Toudou immobilized every single guy that attempted to ambush him.


    He used his profound ability in chinese acupuncture to disrupt their body functions using accurate pressure strikes. His index fingers moved as if they were in the hands of a doctor that wielded a needle and successfully disabled the guys.


    He carefully walked forward as he watched the guys quivering in fear while they were also paralyzed. They could only watch as Toudou inched closer. They knew he was going easy and he barely even spent a single breath on taking care of ten guys.


    His fierce gaze glared at the entirety of the ten guys. His eyes which spoke the words, ¡°If you try this again, there won¡¯t be a second change¡± was being conveyed to them clearly.


    They could not do anything as they saw a dangerous glint of savagery within the man¡¯s eyes and he simply left them paralyzed on the floor.


    Toudou returned to class when his homeroom teacher was frantically moving about. She seemed to be worrying about the ten absences since the guys hadn¡¯t returned from lunch break.


    The girls that led Toudou were completely shocked. They did not expect him to return back to class, much less unscathed.


    His eyes were dangerously glaring at the females that led him and they only gulp as they avoided his gaze. It was as if this classroom was the only thing protecting them from their death.


    Toudou returned to his seat and ten minutes later, the seven of the ten guys returned late. The other three seemed to have fled either to the locker rooms or went home due to their embarrassment.


    The seven guys immediately returned to their seats obediently while avoiding Toudou¡¯s gaze.


    They didn¡¯t even answer when the homeroom teacher, Ms. Sayaka had questioned them. They simply shook their heads rapidly and one of the guys told the teacher to hurry and begin class.


    It was rare for the guys to be focused so attentively in class but she didn¡¯t know the reason. The girls that led Toudou to the ambush site tried to ask them what happened but all they got was silence.


    The guys were a bit shaken and Toudou ignored them all.


    Thus...rumours spread about Toudou¡¯s infamy on making Class B-3¡¯s males his servants and how he beat the crap out of them.


    The guys simply shut their mouths and the girls continued to spread rumours.

    Overall, his school life was uneventful. The only people that talked to him was his somewhat beautiful teacher and the class president.


    Although the class president was a female, she didn¡¯t mind Toudou¡¯s peculiar aura of naturally rejecting people. She had that unique aura of being the class president and she delivered her notes to him since he was the transfer student.

    ¡°---Thanks¡±


    That was literally the words that came out of his mouth. She was a bit disturbed by his peculiar replies but she didn¡¯t mind. Although those rumours about him made her a bit wary, she didn¡¯t mind it though because Toudou was like a passive sloth.


    He didn¡¯t do anything outrageous or conspicuous. He literally became normal and the class president didn¡¯t mind anything about him.


    She thought of him as a mysterious person. Someone who does what he wants. Sure, it seemed as if he was arrogant but the air around him was calming for her and she continued to converse with him whether to lend him notes or to just generally talk about school life.


    Her name was Sana Kikoujin.


    The class president was a young adult girl that had quite the body.  Although a bit petite since her body figure was slightly smaller but she had long, beautiful, black hair. Her skin basked in the sunlight as if it were bouncing off, creating a natural glow on her skin. Her eyes were pure black but she also wore a pair of clear glasses. It matched her smart personality but also her curiosity in things. She had modest breasts around the size of B 34, almost nearing the C cup sizes. Her face wasn¡¯t tainted by any blemishes and she had that vibe that you would get from a class president.


    The other person that talked to him was his teacher, Ms. Sayaka Umio.


    Ms. Sayaka was a young woman in her early twenties. Her body was beautiful and sexy in their own aspects. She wore a proper teacher¡¯s uniform with a low-cut skirt with her black pantyhose that covered her long, slender legs. She was outright gorgeous and many guys tend to gain her favor but she wouldn¡¯t pay attention to them. Even though she looked beautiful, she was also quite dangerous. Her senpai, which was the head of the women''s division of the police force, trained her in self-defense and she was also a brown belt in judo. Therefore, she wasn¡¯t simply a beautiful face but quite the dangerous one too.


    Her bodyline was heavy on the sexiness and she knew that. Her child-bearing hips had garnered many eyes and her bountiful breasts had stolen gazes yet she was troubled.


    And he knew why.


    He felt that this teacher was a person who valued her beautiful figure and sexiness. He could sense her desire to be in control thus he ignored her completely. Without even giving her a glance, he simply ignored Ms. Sayaka¡¯s entire body and continued on with his day.


    She wanted to know why he didn¡¯t pay attention to her. She had the body and she wanted to be recognized. Yet, this transfer student did not even waste a second on her.


    It irritated her to the point where she began to openly converse with him. Even to the point where she deliberately fell upon Toudou but he was undisturbed. It was as if he denied her existence and she wanted him to recognize her.


    Thus, she was the other person that talked to him.


    The others ignored him. They knew that if they were to be involved with Toudou, things would get messy.


    The girls avoided him but they silently admired him from afar. Only the other girls that previously led him to the ambush had completely avoided his gaze.


    The guys, too avoided him like the plague. Even when their favorite teacher, Ms. Sayaka, had fallen upon him, planting her bountiful breasts upon his chest, they simply did not voice their jealousy.


    They knew they couldn¡¯t anger Toudou or they will suffer the consequences.

    The days passed on by peacefully until that fateful day when things changed¡­


    It was a normal day like the others. It was currently midday on Tuesday and the class continued on normally. The teacher would openly try to seduce Toudou, causing the nearby males to blush rapidly but they simply ignored it. The girls would only admire Toudou and the class president that eventually changed her seat right next to Toudou.


    After Sana had described this unique flower that she found in the school¡¯s garden, Toudou replied with..


    ¡°---Ah¡±


    As if he were amused. He certainly had gotten used to Sana¡¯s personality and his teacher¡¯s antics but then¡­


    ¡°AHHHH!!!!¡±


    A shriek had echoed throughout the school.


    Suddenly, the entire school began to erupt in cries and agony as if they were under attack.


    Toudou¡¯s senses were perched in activity and he could hear the peculiar sounds that emitted throughout the school.


    He quickly stood up and turned to his left in order to gaze out the window.


    The students mimicked his motion and they saw¡­


    A man was being mauled to death by another man. The man was screaming in pain as the other guy was gnawing upon his bitten arm. Chunks of flesh had sprawled over the floor and the man¡¯s eyes were completely void of color, simply colored white like the tiled roof.


    Soon, a shriek-like roar erupted from the bloodied man that ate the slightly dismembered man and he ran off into one of the school buildings that was connected to theirs.


    Then¡­


    The mauled man that was presumed to be dead began to twitch. His eyes had turned void, similar to his somewhat predecessor and a shriek emerged from him. Then, he stood up¡­


    And began to run in a frenzy.


    Toudou¡¯s gaze turned heavy and he continued to watch as the situation turned grim.


    The mauled, dead yet not dead man ran forward. Toudou watched as he ran towards one of the students that ran out of the outer buildings and the frenzied man leaped into the air and bite into the man¡¯s eye socket.


    The student screamed in terror as he could only watch as his eye was being consumed by the horrifying monster.


    After that, the student had died...but the situation repeated itself once more¡­


    The student rose up and shrieked like its¡¯ predecessors and the hunt had begun¡­.

    Toudou¡¯s gaze was firm and void of any emotions. He turned around as he watched his fellow classmates stunned from the sight. His own teacher was crying and the class president was bawling her tears out similar to her female classmates.


    Toudou walked towards the door and spoke¡­


    ¡°---Ah, you all might want to try and survive¡­¡±


    He opened the door and what greeted him was¡­.

 The Trip

    After Toudou spoke those words, he opened the door, revealing the chaos that engulfed the school. Multiple students and teachers were running throughout the hallway while many of their previous mentors and fellow friends were chasing them in a rabid sensation. The hallway had that distinct strong scent of iron which signified the copious amounts of blood loss.


    The students behind Toudou were frightened to their very core. Ms. Sayaka and Sana were crying as they held each other in their arms. Ms. Sayaka was trying her hardest to remain calm but her mind didn¡¯t respond and she continued to cry which resulted in a massive outcry from the females.


    In the hallway, students were crying for salvation, screaming for hope yet nothing happened as they were being torn apart by their previous classmates. Their flesh were being consumed at a fast pace and their life was suddenly consumed by the disparity of the situation. The outcry of the females within Toudou¡¯s classroom had alerted various amounts of those demonic creatures.


    Their eyes flickering within the movement, they stormed towards Toudou as he stood in doorway.


    Ms. Sayaka and Sana called out to Toudou but their voices were muffled from their constantly crying.


    Sana didn¡¯t want to lose her only friend. Toudou was the only person that treated her normal. She really didn¡¯t mind that Toudou wasn¡¯t paying attention to her during her conversations with him but at least he didn¡¯t treat her differently. She was the daughter of Councilman Itou Kikoujin and due to his heavy influence in the political world, none of the students nor teachers disrespected her. They revered her as another existence which often isolated her within her heart. However, Toudou was her outlet. He neither discriminated nor prioritized her. She was glad that he treated her as a normal student.


    Therefore, she couldn¡¯t bare the pain of having to that only person who treated her as a human being.


    Ms. Sayaka was a person that was desired by the male populace. She was revered and favorited amongst the other female teachers. Even the school principal fawned over her which gave her absolute control over her position as a teacher. However there was one person that denied her. It was Toudou.


    She couldn¡¯t help but see Toudou as someone arrogant but she couldn¡¯t hate him. His face and body was chiseled to perfection. His powerful gaze had made her body quiver. If it weren¡¯t for the fact that she fell upon his chest, she wouldn¡¯t have known that he had a killer body too.


    Therefore, she wanted him to desire her. She wanted his love and she could not help but cry out to the one person that was about to become one of those demon spawns.


    However, the next few actions stunned them¡­


    Toudou reacted quickly and broke apart the sliding door frame and launched it towards the group of alerted creatures that was currently running towards him, coincidentally there was a group of females that run in front of that group. Using that slight distraction, Toudou kicked the dislodged door frame towards the group of disfigured zombie-fied students.


    The impact was critical as it shattered into wooden fragments from the first collision and it partially stunned the group of creatures. The females were astonished and they bawled their eyes out as they saw me save them.


    Toudou ignored their pleas and turned around.


    He saw the sobbing males and females and spoke¡­


    ¡°--Ah, This is where we part. I don¡¯t know what you all will do from now on but it is up to you whether you follow me or not. However, if you do follow me but create unnecessary problems for me, I will either abandon you or I will kill you personally. Thanks for being classmates with me and good bye.¡±


    Toudou finished his words and before he turned around, he grabbed one of the chairs and walked out of the classroom.


    He saw many students attempting to jump out of the school building, only to be surrounded by wandering zombies that were lurking below. Even down the hallway, there were girls trying to crawl away but a zombie teacher had dragged her, unknowing to him, he had unintentionally stripped the young student¡¯s clothings and began to feast on her thighs.


    The female student cried as the pain was excruciating and it was similar throughout the entire school.


    The group of females that were being chased, had been caught by the zombies that were partially distracted by the door frame that he had kicked towards them.


    They were crying and screaming for his help but he only stared at them indifferently. They cried out but he wasn¡¯t going to waste any time now.


    He moved towards the right wing of the hallway and he noticed the various footsteps that followed him. His classroom was shivering in fear but they had managed to follow him. It was quite funny for Toudou since humans depended so much on today¡¯s society yet they couldn¡¯t do jack shit when their world turned upside down.


    He jogged towards the end of the hallway, reaching a pair of stairs that interconnected between the lower floors and the upper floors. He went down to the lower floors.


    Some of the males stared in disbelief as Toudou went below. Some of them paired up and went to the upper floors where it led towards the roof. They knew they would be safe on the roof and they could wait for a wandering helicopter to bring them to safety.


    Toudou didn¡¯t care if they split up since he didn¡¯t have to worry about them anymore. If they die, then they die. He could care less about their safety when he had to secure his own survivability.


    Majority of the females followed the males that went towards the roof. They thought it was a much better plan than being sent down to their graves early. However, Ms. Sayaka, Sana and 3 other girls and one male followed Toudou.


    Toudou inwardly smiled their choice and continued down the stairs in a quick manner.


    He leaped from several steps and continued his juncture as he leaped towards the lower floor, thus ignoring the need to descend using steps.


    Ms. Sayaka and the remaining students quickly followed by running down the stairs but they really couldn¡¯t keep up with the agile Toudou.


    Eventually, they arrived where Toudou was standing. They could see what he saw.


    He saw an entire hallway that was filled with zombie creatures. They were feasting upon the remains of the unlucky students and teachers. Many of them had their intestines gouged out through a gaping hole that was ripped open by one of the zombies. A lot of them had their arms and heads crooked in a mangled manner.


    However, Toudou remained calm. Ms. Sayaka and the girls were going to puke as they saw the dreadful scene. Even the male had trouble holding down his leftovers.


    Toudou turned around cautiously and spoke to the group that had followed him¡­


    ¡°---Hold in your vomit. It will create useless noise. I already noticed that these creatures are sensitive to noise so we will have to tread carefully. If one of you alerts that group over there, I will abandon all of you. Just treat this as payment for being my classmates. I really don¡¯t care what happens but I am going to make it out safely. I don¡¯t care about what you feel towards me, whether if I seem arrogant or despicable but if you create problems for me, just remember what I said earlier upstairs. Now, I am going to tell you what I am gonna do. I am---¡±


    Before Toudou could continue, Ms. Sayaka had spoken up..


    ¡°Kurogane-kun, we need to hurry and esc---¡±


    But before she could finish, Toudou had glared at her.


    ¡°---Look, I don¡¯t want to hear what you are suggesting. Only after we get out of this predicament, then I might consider your opinions but now, I am the one giving the instructions. I don¡¯t care if you are my teacher, this world has changed so don¡¯t suggest anything while I am trying to get us out of here. If you want, you can go on your own and do what you want but don¡¯t involve me.¡±

    Ms. Sayaka was stunned. No man had treated her like this and she couldn¡¯t voice out her opinions on how he¡¯s an arrogant prick. Because she knew...she knew in her heart that he¡¯s the only way out of this hell hole.


    The group of females, along with Sana, gulped and swallowed their thoughts and opinions.


    Toudou resumed¡­


    ¡°---Since they are sensitive to noise, I will purposely lure them away. I need everyone to slowly enter that classroom. I don¡¯t care if you have to cough or take a shit, just don¡¯t make any noise. You all will huddle together within that classroom while I will lure away that pack of monsters. Now, I know some of you might be thinking that I would leave you all alone and escape. Indeed, I could simply escape but since you decided to follow then you are under my protection. I, hereby state that I will not abandon those that are under my protection, therefore you all can rest easy. However! If I am not back within 10 minutes, then you can assume that I am dead and you can try and survive on your own. Is this clear or do I need to repeat myself because I don¡¯t want to repeat myself and I can sense that those creatures are getting a bit restless.¡±


    The group had their opinions and some of them thought that he would abandon them but they had nothing else but to trust him. They didn¡¯t want to die and they can only follow his instructions.


    Toudou placed his finger to his lips to signal silence and slowly he crept forward towards the classroom. But before he moved, he told the group to remain silent on the base of the stairs.


    There were various glass fragments on the floor and a lot of school supplies scattered throughout the hallway.


    Using his quick steps and flexibility, he maneuvered through the hallway without disturbing the growling creatures that were at the end of the hallway.


    As he moved towards the first classroom to use as their cover, Toudou scuffed the edges of the items that were on the floor skillfully as he moved. It looked mesmerising as the group watched Toudou¡¯s quick footwork.


    His feet were like shadows as they quickly pushed the items without creating a disturbance.


    Slowly, he was creating a path towards the classroom and the group became scared for Toudou¡¯s safety. They knew that if he screwed up, he would be the first to go down and they were pinning their hopes on him.


    Toudou smiled inwardly as he saw the desperate expressions on the group.


    ¡®Just be lucky that I was here...¡¯


    He thought to himself as he made his makeshift pathway to the room.


    Slowly but surely, he arrived at the front door of the classroom. The door had the same sliding feature so he had to be cautious at this point. Toudou looked around and he saw the hinges and began to press down on the hinges. It was simply a arduous task as he had to slowly slide the door towards his right while pressing down on the hinges to avoid any noise.


    ¡®Come on...almost there¡¯


    Toudou was briefly sweating as he concentrated on the task on opening the door without making a single sound.


    The door had opened halfway but then a slight creak on the door, it produced a small sound. Toudou¡¯s expression turned serious and the group back at the stairs nearly gasped in fright but they couldn¡¯t afford to make any more noise.


    The zombie creatures were startled at the small noise that was produced by the door. Toudou¡¯s sweat began to form increasingly on his forehead as he watched the zombies turn their heads toward him.


    They began to snarl in his direction and majority of them began to inch closer.


    Luckily, behind the group of zombies, there was a teacher that had just woken up due to the frantic screams. He was lounging in one of the janitor closets and he yawned as he walked out into the hallway.


    There, the zombies turned around and they heard the sounds of the man yawning after his brief nap.


    They leaped towards him and he screamed in fright.


    ¡°AHHH HELP!! HELP ME!!!!¡±


    The entire group of zombies leaped towards him and at least two zombies were on each of his limbs. They began to bite into his human flesh and tore apart his muscles. Blood splattered all over as his body had four outlets as if his body was a blood faucet and the blood poured onto the floor. His screams were for naught as one of the zombies had bitten part of his face off and broke his jaw line.


    The group that remained at the stairs silently cried to themselves as they watched their former teacher being mauled to death.


    Although Toudou watched the scene, he merely wasted a blink and while the teacher screamed, he swiftly opened the door and returned back to the group as the man was being eaten.


    His screams were continuing on as they began to devour his limbs and before the teacher had died, Toudou ushered the group to hurry and move along.


    They moved quickly and one by one, they entered the classroom.


    The last of them was the only male besides him and he nearly tripped. But his motion had disturbed on the items on the floor and created a noise.


    Toudou reacted quickly as he kicked the guy¡¯s ass into the classroom and he began his plan.


    The girls nearly shrieked in terror as the last guy had tripped over nothing and they watched as Toudou ran in the opposite manner but as soon as he ran backwards he yelled..


    ¡°---Oi, you damn creatures! Come get me you pieces of shit!¡±


    Toudou ran while banging on the glass windows to make the group of zombies deter away from the classroom doors and they chased after him.


    The group watched as the zombies swiftly ran passed their classroom. The females nearly beat the guy to death for tripping over air. Ms. Sayaka and Sana were the ones that worried the most about Toudou. They watched as nearly over 20 zombies had chased after him. They cried silently inside.


    They had to trust Toudou now. His plan had worked and they had to wait for him before continuing on.


    Toudou ran down the hallway but as he did, he took out his pencils and pens from his pockets. Quickly taking the caps off the pens and grasping them within his hands, he continued to run forward.


    As he ran, he launched the sharpened pencils and pens with a swift flick of the wrist. The pencils were thrown with such a force that it simply lodged itself within one of the zombies¡¯ eyesocket and that zombie had fallen.


    Similarly, the pens had pierced the eye sockets but their piercing maneuver was reduced since it did not have the same sharp edge as the pencils.


    Toudou ran towards the stairs and as he ran, he kicked a nearby soda can towards the stairs that led to the upper floors. The sound had impacted upon the mindless zombies and they were deterred away from the stairs that led to the lower levels.


    Toudou had leaped downwards as he descended onto the lower section of the stairs but he balanced himself while in mid-air. Using that balance, he centered his gravity and prowled his entire body onto the stairs silently. His entire body was in the formation similar to a frog and he looked incredibly stupid but it saved his life.


    The zombies had ran forward to the upper stair levels and Toudou could only watch the endless feet of the zombies as they ran crazily upstairs.


    Soon, the pack had been lured away and Toudou fastened his position and ascended back to the floor where the group was hiding in.


    It was the 2nd floor and he had to find a way to get transportation. He could use his connections but he wanted to see how he would fare in this situation. If his group knew about this, they might kill him over the fact that they could be saved but no way in hell will they find out. He wasn¡¯t going to let them and besides he could care less about them. This was survival and he is sure that he will survive whether with a group behind him or by himself.
