Ares'' father, David, found this artifact while adventuring the Holy Forest. In Ares'' new world, after the discovery of life on other planets, humans also discovered a strange substance called mana. Many scientists were interested in this substance and after many years, they were finally able to understand it. Inside every single living being, even ants, there is a spirit. This spirit houses a being''s spiritual essence, Also known as their potential to grow, their ki-center, which gathers and transmits the energy source used by warriors, and their mana core, which gathers and transmits the energy source used by magicians. The two types of spirit users are divided into two as warriors and magicians. Both warriors and magicians have rankings in their power from letter Z all the way to letter A. Warriors can be divided into to groups such as swordsmen and hunters. The only difference between the two is that swordsmen use swords and hunters use ki-powered wepons, such as bows and guns. Magicians can be divided into 7 groups, fire magicians, wind magicians, water magicians, earth magicians, dark magicians, light magicians, and lightning magicians. The only difference between all of them is that they use different spells from the other groups. A warrior, whether they are a swordsman or a hunter, can choose between two ways to increase their power. One path they can choose is to cultivate their ki so that they can combine it with their attacks and use it when needed. Another path they can choose is body strengthening, this path fuses the users ki with their body, strengthening every aspect of their body. Although this path is more powerful than cultivating their ki, it is thousands of times harder than the other path even if the user has exceptional spiritual essence. Out of every million warriors, only one would be a body strengthening warrior. Although magicians are more powerful than ki-cultivating warriors of the same letter, they need a very high amount of spiritual essence, in fact they need 10 times more spiritual essence than an ordinary person. The examiner shouted,"High spiritual essence, high-quality mana-transmitter, and low-quality ki-transmitter". The boy turned back around again to Ares. "See I told you I would have impressive results, by the way, my name is Parker. When Ares arrived home he told his parents about the events that transpired and his mom was dumbfounded while his father was perfectly calm. "Congratulations son, before you go off to live in the school I have something to give to you." Ares'' father then went outside and came back with a sword that looked similar to a katana from Ares'' past life. "Is that a katana!? That kind of sword shouldn''t exist in this world!", said Ares as his eyes were wide open with shock. "This is the sword that I currently use, it is made from the matter of a black dwarf, outside of this planet. This is not the sword I am going to give you though as it weighs several hundred tons", as he said this he pulled out another sword that was similar, but was smaller and the blade was green, not black. "This weapon I ordered for you to have a couple months ago is very powerful." "How powerful can it possibly be, it looks too light, maybe only a couple pounds." "This sword is made from uranium, it is highly dangerous, but if your ki control is strong enough you can handle it.", he said as he put it in a scabbard. After an hour of discussing, the head signaled the instructors to start the exams. Every examiner tested 30 students by themselves which made the exam only 10 short minutes. This exam was to test the elemental affinities of the students. Elemental affinity was useful to both warriors and mages as warriors can infuse their weapons with their affinity, for example making a ''fire blade''. After a couple minutes it was finally Ares'' turn, even though Ares knew he had no affinity because he has no mana core, there was a tiny thread of hope he was hanging on to. "Next student please", said he the examiner Ares then stood up and followed the examiners instructions. "Um, n..no elemental affinity for any element", said the examiner with a disbelieving face "Wow, no elemental affinity, how did he even get admitted into this school!?", said many people of the crowd as Ares walked back to his seat. After a couple minutes, the exams finally finished up and the examiner said, " Now you all shall select your classes, your first class will be a beginner class, but you can move up to intermediate then advanced by showing exceptional mastery or staying in the class for a year and passing it." The examiner then passed out slips which had selections for classes on them. On Ares slip there were only 5 classes to choose from, they were ki cultivation, body strengthening, summoning, martial arts, and battle tactics. Ares was required to take at least 3 classes, so he decided to take all the classes except for the battle tactics class and the ki cultivation class as he wanted to do body strengthening. He also signed up to have a dorm inside the school. "Then you start by drawing in the invisible ki of the fourth dimension into your ki-center and let it go in an orbit around your ki-center until it disperses around your entire body" "Then keep repeating this process over and over again, do you understand?" "Yes I think I understand now teacher" Ares walked back to his seat and began to meditate. As Ares went back to his seat he began to meditate. He started to draw in the invisible ki into his body. Suddenly, As he tried to bring the ki towards his body, the ki started to slow down tremendously and unless one looked at it close up it would look like it wasn''t moving. Scared, Ares continued to push the ki towards his ki center. After about 10 minutes the ki finally emerged from his tight meridians and started to orbit his ki center which mostly relieved him, but his "ki" felt very unstable and was very dense and the aura it produced made the ki in his surroundings in a 5 meter radius condense into the same super ki that was near his ki center and started seeping into his body. As he sat down, almost all the students were glaring at him with envy seeing how young he was. This classroom was similar to his strengthening classroom, except that there were more people. His teacher looked like a bodybuilder from Ares previous world and on his forearm there were 7 stars that had a faint flow to them. "Ok listen up, today we''re going to have to take a dive into the demon plane to find ourselves a companion" the man walked to the middle of the classroom and started drawing symbols and circles on the floor. Once he finished the formation it started glowing brightly and a portal appeared in the middle. "Okay everyone follow me inside" the man walked into the portal and disappeared, following him the other students jumped in. As Ares walked into the demon plane, he saw blue skies and trees the same as Namoda, the world Ares is living on, but his classmates saw something different due to their mana cores and mana. Ares classmates were all bewitched by what they were seeing, but Ares had no way of knowing what they saw. "You all are going explore these and get a companion and come before class ends, ok?" As he brought his fist up to punch Ares, Ares just slightly waved his hand to block the punch, breaking his arm and sending him flying over 10 meters away. This display of power stupefied the group. After about 10 minutes of walking in the cave he finally reached the end and he found a box that had a half complete spell around it that tried to make it invisible, but as it was very old it wasn''t very functional. "Hm, wonder what''s in here" Ares opened the box and saw a ring and an orb next to it similar to the orb that he saw at the beginning of the cave. As Ares put on the ring he probed it with his ki and what he discovered exited him. "Yes! An interspatial ring, I have only heard legends of this by father, but I could''ve never even imagined getting one" Ares bit his finger then let his blood flow onto the ring to bloodbind it and then he put the orb he found into his ring. Suddenly, someone who looked like a clone of himself was made of super ki formed in front of him. "Ah, you scared me, who are you? Ares almost fell down from the shock, but quickly got his cool back together. "Me? Haha, I''m your beast companion from that ring, but not just any beast companion, I''m a slime!" The slime laughed "Huh, a slime, that''s pathetic, I don''t want to have a slime with me for the rest of my life!" "Ah, there''s only 10 more minutes before my martial arts class, I''m gonna be late!" Ares started to run towards his class portal as Sim fused back with the ring. "Hey, Ares why don''t you try out your new psychic ability to get there faster" Sim spoke from the ring he was fused with. "Fine, as long as it gets me there faster" Ares was desperate to get back. "Use your mental energy called psi that comes from that orb to teleport near your class portal, but I will warn you that you can only use this once a day until your psi gets stronger" Ares then gathered his psi and teleported 100 meters away from the portal so that no one would get suspicious. "I would''ve been screwed if I didn''t make it in time, good thing I got this orb" Ares was relieved that he would make it on time. Ares then proceeded to jump back into the portal to go back to class. After about 5 minutes, his summoning class finally ended and he went to his martial arts class.
