《The Magical Workman》 The Magical Workman Prologue I was a normal average everyday neet. Like every neet I stayed inside avoiding school and any chance at a job and.... wait wait wait I don''t need to explain this. Basically all you need to know is that I became a neet after continuously getting bullied in school and even at home , "sniffle sniffle" yeah cry for me I suffered a great deal through my teenage years. My point was, I was a neet. I was nearing my 42st birthday, I had light brown hair with dark brown eyes and a average face, and 5 ft 10, you could even go so far as call me normal, if it wasn''t for the fact I was nearly 280 lbs and looked fatter than a chubby hamster. Well anyways back to the point things weren''t looking so good for me because of me being a neet. Just a few days ago my parent were killed in a car accident. Now there''s no one to pay the bills so I''m going to get kicked out of the house by the bank if i don''t get a job soon. So today''s the day I go out and get a job, but......I don''t know where to start. As I walk outside I feel the warm sunlight on my skin and a small breeze blowing through my hair, I can hear the robins and blue birds chirping softly. I hate all of it. I haven''t been outside for quite some time so the flow of all the different feelings gives me a mind blowing headache. So I want it all to disappear..... if only it were that easy. The narrative has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the infringement. I start my walk to look at the things i haven''t seen, since I''ve been inside all this time. As I near a grocery store I had never seen before I hear shouting and screaming. I look inside through the glass pane windows. Scanning the store I quickly make out that a big, burly guy, that was holding a gun, was robbing the store. I started to walk away. I myself have always had a strong sense of justice. Even after my heart broke from all the bullying, I still wanted to help those in need. But..... I wasn''t an idiot i knew if I tried to do something I would easily get shot and get seriously injured, or maybe even die. However my fears were soon realized as I soon heard a loud bang. Quickly looking down I was afraid. There was a big hole seeping massive amounts of blood and I felt an enormous pain in my chest. I knew immediately I was going to die. Looking i saw the robber running off with a big bag of what I presumed was money in his hands. The idiot had shot me after quickly running out of the store. Now he had no chance of getting away with the robbery and was going to be charged with murder too. But it was too late for me to do anything. I started to loose consciousness and very quickly my vision blacked out and I collapsed. The Magical Workman Chapter 1: Reborn The Magical Workman Chapter 1: I think it''s going good so far, please leave some reviews so I know how I''m doing on this series as this is my first story ever. Please comment about any grammatical errors either as, although i try to watch myself mistakes still happens sometimes ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- As I sat there in the darkness contemplating about my life, I made a small list of achievements from my life. It was...empty I did absolutely nothing worth noticing, no sports trophies, no spelling bee medals, I didn''t even earn my own money as i had no job, I got it from my parents. What i wouldn''t give to live my life over from the start.
*Ting Do you want to be reborn?
YesNo
"What.....the.... Hell!!" I shout uncontrollably, but i already know my answer. I try to click the yes button but my chubby fingers go right through the glowing blue screen. Hmm how does this thing work. I shout yes out loud, but it again doesn''t do anything. Oh'' i know. I calmly think about the yes answer in my mind. Success!! A second later I feel a sharp rush going through my mind and my body and I''m suddenly surrounded by a weird disgusting liquid. Holy shit I guess I''m in my new mom and eww it''s absolutely disgusting, did I really go through this the last time. Although I can''t open my eyes or move i can easily feel the texture of the liquid and it feels like melted caramel. If you haven''t felt that in your life, trust me it''s not the best feeling. As the minutes tick by I start to get extremely bored as I can''t exactly do anything, but then i feel something spectacular. It feels like energy flowing throughout my body. I try to control it. It''s hard to control, but not exactly impossible. So I will it to go back and forward slowly between regular intervals, but I start to get really tired really fast and I can''t control it anymore. Unauthorized reproduction: this story has been taken without approval. Report sightings. Well duh, babies not even born yet are bound to get tired super fast. So I instantly fall into a deep darkness. A while later I start to stir and I gradually wake up. There''s nothing better to do so I just keep willing the strange energy until I get tired and fall asleep again. I keep doing this for, who knows how long, but one day well I was sleeping i was woken by a strange rushing noise. I was getting sucked toward part of the womb, I could feel the pressure slowly sucking in intervals as I slowly got closer to my destination. I knew I was being born, but I''m not going to go into many details about it.
Ding* You have been given life
I felt the cold air wrap around my fragile body as I got out, and it chilled me almost to the bone, but then I felt an amazing warmth.I knew someone had picked me up but since i couldn''t open my eyes I had no idea who. I heard someone talking but I was tired and it sounded like illegitimate garble. The exhaustion rushed up to greet me and i fell asleep. I woke up feeling dead beat tired but now i could actually do something. I could wiggle my arms and legs, granted not much but at least it was something. I tried to open my eyes but I found I still couldn''t. What a party pooper. Gradually I notice that I''m really hungry, almost starving actually. I start to cry really loud. I hear a rushing noise as someone runs over to me and picks me up. I feel something quickly enter my mouth, I know exactly what it is and as i suck warm milk comes out to greet me. The days pass by as i sleep, eat, and poop myself (Disgusting right). I can''t really do anything until i gain more muscle control so I just go along with everything. I know eventually I''ll gain at least eye control and I''ll be able to see. Look at that, what do you know after a week (I presume) I''m finally able to look with my eyes. So I gradually start to open my eyes....... To be Continued Trolololol. The Magical Workman Chapter 2: Scenery I know this has been a while, sorry but life is really twisting my nipples at the moment. I hope to have a new chapter at least once a week but you shouldn''t have a lot of confidence in this. I plan to post another chapter today or tomorrow to make up for lost time though. (Also please note as although these chapters are pretty short when he gets older they will be more detailed and longer) Enjoy! _________________________________________________________________________________________________ As I opened my eyes the sun rose to greet me, giving me a strong ray of sunlight in my eyes. This quickly faded however as I tilted my head however much i could (Not even half a centimeter) to look at my surroundings. Being able to tilt my head only so much i couldn''t see everything, but what i did see bewildered me. I was in a stone room of sorts, as it was composed of various sizes of various shades of grey stone. The reason why the sunlight was so deep and rich in my eyes was because I was positioned right next to what had to be a meter high window looking out into what I only hoped would be some beautiful country side (I couldn''t see). I craved and yearned to see more, but i couldn''t move more than my body would allow. So i thought of a brilliant idea, i began to whine and screech. A few moments later I heard shuffling presumably someone coming to get me to calm down, hopefully my mother. A second later I was looking into the face of the hottest women I had ever seen. She had the face of a super super modelx2 with rich brown eyes that seemed to suck you in, dark brown hair magnificently flowing down her lithe but not too skinny shoulders, and to top it off she had massive surprisingly firmish looking breasts that were hidden beneath a thin white blouse. I knew immediately she was my mom, don''t ask me how I knew, I just knew. Anyways back to the story, picking me up she proceeded to slip down her blouse trying to feed me. I started to cry louder when she shoved her breasts in my face. Show me around!!! Don''t feed me!! However I couldn''t talk so it come out as a babyish gurgle and I was deeply disappointed as she obviously didn''t understand. Finally after what seemed like ages she slipped her blouse back on, made a big disgusting frown and faced me toward the window. If you stumble upon this narrative on Amazon, it''s taken without the author''s consent. Report it. What I saw changed my crying into a light giggle. It was absolutely beautiful. A rich, deep green forest as far as the eye could see with so many varieties of different trees, bushes, and flowers. The sunlight pouring down from above caused an unimaginably interesting shadow artwork on the ground. A closer inspection showed small animals, such as what appeared to be squirrels and the occasional big animal frittering back and forth on the ground. I was stoked. There was absolutely no way this could be earth as the beauty of it all showed no signs of destruction or even the tiniest hint of pollution. I could have a new life, a new beginning . As I thought about it my mother gently lowered me down grumbling in some weird language, most likely due to how I treated her and how I reacted to the view outside. Oh well whatever. So I set some goals for myself in my mind and automatically a window popped up in front of me.
Goals
1. Get Super Swoll
2. Change the world
3. Get a girl
Hmmm interesting. This world is obviously game like so I need to make the most of that. Other than that this list seems pretty solid I don''t think I''m missing something. Oh well if I''m missing something it doesn''t really matter I will figure it out later I reason. As this and that went on in what I only assumed could be my household a year passed in the blink of an eye. The Magical Workman Chapter 3: As promised here is the next chapter. Its going kinda fast and I''m not going into a lot of detail but that will definitely change later. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ I was now one year old. About halfway through this year I learned to crawl and have been crawling everywhere through our small house ever since. We''re obviously not the richest family but my parents do have a good chunk of money so our house is moderately big even though I said it was small. Our house has four bedrooms, a kitchen, a big living room, and a dining room. We even have a maid, her name is (or as i have come to call her) is Alicia. The beautiful woman that had spent almost all of this one year doting on me was indeed my mother and her name was Edith. I also saw who I assumed was my father from time to time. He was probably around 6 feet tall, he had the same deep brown hair as my mother but his eyes were a light baby blue. His name was Darren. He was never around very often probably because he was off working somewhere. I learned that my name was Wolfe and our last name was Workman. When I first heard about our last name I thought about how weird it was but since babies obviously shouldn''t be able to talk so I haven''t asked. That brings me to my next point which is that I have learned this worlds language. I obviously haven''t mastered it because it''s only been a year, but I''ve learned enough of it to understand most things. I believe I can speak it fairly well if I tried, but I haven''t because my mother has constantly been around me and it would be downright weird if I tried. So anyways what I really want to talk about is where i live. Recently my mother has been bringing me up and around outside so I''ve seen most of what I would consider to be a small village. There are about 125 small shacks, a few stores, and a blacksmith crunched together in a raggedy wooden fence. It''s not the most exciting thing but at least there are other kids for me to spend time with. During one of these visits outside with my mother we went to my mother''s friend''s house. In there I met and became friends with a girl whose age I would estimate to be a year or two older than me. When I say friends I meant my friend because I''m 100% sure she doesn''t understand the concept yet. Anyways shes 2 or 3 and she has midnight black hair, with ocean blue eyes. Shes not much bigger than me but that''s to be expected as we are still really young. Ensure your favorite authors get the support they deserve. Read this novel on the original website. Another thing I learned is that this world does indeed have magic. I''ve been trying to read a book in my house that I know is about magic when no one is around. However I can''t seem to learn the writing as fast as I could the speaking and I can''t even understand an eighth of the book so I''ve really been upset as of late. Today when no one was around I sat down and tried to learn more of the writing, but it suddenly turned awkward when my mom walked in and saw me. She instantly ran over and looked me over. Then she picked me up, looked deeply into my eyes, and started to laugh. "My son is a genius - hahaha - I need to tell Darren about this" (Edith) I was instantly confused. Usually if a smart parent saw their one year old child reading a book very advanced for their age group they would be confused. But nooooo my mom says I''m a genius, what the hell is wrong with her. So instead of being smart like I should''ve been I said "Mama" And suddenly out of no where my mom put me back down and bolted out of the room. I was scared. I thought she was going to go tell her husband to come in here and kill me for being a demon or something. I was so nervous I almost wet my pants just thinking about it. However my fears were for nought. My dad walked in, picked me up, and looked into my eyes, I thought he was looking into my very being for a second. "Come on Wolfe, say papa" (Darren) I was stumped and confused for a second. How dumb could these people be? There''s almost no way a one year old was reading a book and was speaking, but I knew what to do anyways. I had to say papa. Just as I was about to say papa something came bursting through the door......... The Magical Workman Chapter 4: Starting the Journey I know this is a bit later than promised but some stuff came up. This chapter is pretty short but enjoy. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- It was.........my mom (Tl:Trolololol) She came bursting through the door and pounded into my dad knocking me and him onto the floor. "See isn''t he the smartest, he''s only one and he''s talking already" (Mother) My father, hopefully a naturally sane person, had a look of dismay on his face. "Calm down honey, I just got in the room" (Father) And my mother being the slightly crazy and insane person she is picked me up and started shaking me crazily, shouting... "SAY SOMETHING" So I did. "Mama" But obviously since my mom is crazy, that wasn''t the right thing to do as she started to shake me harder, eliciting a moan of terror from my mouth. Eventually my father got my insane mom to set me down, but by then it was far too late. I started to puke wildly all over his shirt. To say he wasn''t happy was only the gist of it. He started to talk to my mom about not doing that EVER again in a harsh tone, getting in return a whimper of sadness and a soft sorry in return. The author''s content has been appropriated; report any instances of this story on Amazon. So anyways after that little adventure I wasn''t normally all that happy when my mom was around me although she didn''t act as crazy anymore. Back to the main part I was one year old had a family blah blah blah. So anyways one day I found this book, and to my surprise it was actually a book about magic(There were pictures) but........ since its a different world I don''t know the language. So one day when my dad came home I asked him to read it to me. He was surprised to day the least, more that I could talk rather than the fact that I asked him to read me a book about magic which is a bit weird if you ask me. But instead of reading me the book he took it a step forward and asked "Son do you want to learn how to read" I was ecstatic, of course I wanted to be able read. If you teach me I could learn all about the stuff of this world and magic without having to ask you guys to read me the books or tell me. Of course though, I didn''t say this all I said was "Yes" So my father started to teach me to read from that day onward, and later I started to do simple exercises such as running and jumping jacks, and my journey of life in this world started from that day forward. The Magical Workman Chapter 5: The Basics Too late should''ve released this sooner, but you know when your busy time flies by. Naturally this chapter is more about the new world our main character is in so there is zero action. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ It''s been 5 years since I''ve been brought into this world. Soon after(about half a year) my dad started to teach me about the written language of the world, I completely memorized most of it. I then proceeded to read all the books in the house before two months could even pass me by. I learned so many new things. First off I learned all about the currency of this world, it''s relatively simple. It starts off with a small yellow ball(Think the size of an eraser on a pencil but rounded) commonly referred to as bit and is the most commonly used out there, it was worth 1 Drab. Next came a bigger red ball called a round, this piece is almost as common as the bit and is worth 10 Drab. Next comes a green coin that''s just a bit bigger than the round, it''s called a noble and it''s worth 100 drab, its not very common. Finally comes a small blue ball smaller than even the bit called a king worth 500 Drab, this is the rarest of the money(Obviously) and isn''t normally used unless someone is buying expensive armor, weapons, or other various expensive things. The years in this world consists of 8 months each with 25 days. Each day is about 20 hours long. and each hour is precisely 60 minutes. The world consists of four continents, Yareth the demon race continent, Harf the fae continent, Gargantum the beast race continent, and Nard the human continent. The demon race is composed of all things demon, the fae are the fairies, elves, spirits, and the like, the beast race is composed mostly of demi-humans of the fox, wolf, dog, and cat half races but there is a lot of other races too, and the human race is composed of humans and dwarves. There is no doubt, now I can actually read, that there is magic in this world. There are several different kinds of magic in this world, there is the most common elemental ones earth, wind, fire, water, darkness, light. There is also things like summoning magic, time and space magic, enchanting magic, nature magic, and pure destruction magic. The fae race is the race that can utilize their magic the best, but as they are most attuned to nature they can not use all the magic and are excluded from fire, darkness, summoning, and destruction magic. The demon race are naturally the second best at utilizing their magic but as they are creatures of darkness they are excluded from light, time and space, enchanting, and nature magic. The humans with their adaptability are the third best at using magic and can use all magic, but most humans cannot use more than two different types of magic. This magical adaptability does not include the dwarves who can only use the elemental magic. The beastman cannot use pure magic as they cannot utilize the mana in the surroundings and their bodies and can only rely on spirit contracts, which is not considered a main magic as it requires an outside source. If you encounter this story on Amazon, note that it''s taken without permission from the author. Report it. Since I''m human I will only explain what I learned about humans. The human race naturally has ways to test what elements a human can use, with most people not exceeding two elements, that is to say if they have enough mana to use any at all, as a lot of humans don''t even have that much mana. Anyways the human continent is divided into three kingdoms that are usually at war with each other( when i say usually they stop when they go to war with other species). The first kingdom is called Yiracan, the second called Bardola, and the third is Alarea. As for me, apparently we live in a insignificant small town in the Alarea kingdom, Far away from the borderlands where most of the fighting in any of the wars occur. So anyways I learned all that stuff maybe a little bit more but blah blah blah who cares about all that stuff about the continents and time. The most important stuff is the magic. On the fifth birthday of every child they are tested free of charge(most likely to encourage people to come so they can get their greedy hands on them) for magical power, and elemental power(determines how many elements you can use as naturally you can''t test for what elements you can use, you have to find out on your own). So anyways today is the day I turn five. My parents, trying to make sure I don''t feel super discouraged if it turns out I don''t have enough magic power, tell me how it''s not the most common thing to have enough magical power, etc. Either way I don''t really care, as my parents told me that either way my dad is going to teach me some swordsmanship, and my mother is going to teach me some basic crafting skills. Although if I do have enough mana I''ll have to go to school as neither my mother nor father are magicians. Not really looking forward to that if I do have enough mana because I didn''t particularly like school in my past life. Today I do absolutely nothing eventful and sit down staring at the sun waiting for noon to come around, as that''s when me and my parents will go and have me take the test. So I sit there and sit there, when finally the sun reaches midpoint, I shout over to my parents in the house as i get prepared to take the test. The Magical Workman Chapter 6: Testing the Power A bit short and lacking but here you go ------------------------------------------------------------------------- As I walk with my parents I contemplate which elements I¡¯ll have and whether or not I¡¯ll have enough magic power to successfully use these elements. Even though I said I don¡¯t really care, I¡¯m really hoping I can use magic, cause magic is really cool. As I thinking about this stuff I almost missed my parents stopping in front of a big wooden building, but i catch myself and start too. ¡°Here we are son, Now don¡¯t get too discouraged if you don¡¯t have enough magic power remember neither me nor your mother can use magic¡± (Dad) ¡°Ok dad¡± I say as we walk inside the building Looking around I see 12 kids my own age, and their parents. The kids + the parents are lined up in front of an old man wearing a white robe with gold embroidering holding an orb of some sorts. I whisper to my dad asking what the orb is and he responds by saying that it was what tested the magical power of people. My parents and I walk over and stand in line. While standing I listen to all the different results the people in front of me get. ¡°50 magical power has the ability to become a magician please stand over there¡± (Old Man) ¡°5 magical power has no ability to become a magician kindly leave the building¡± (Old Man) ¡°10 Magical Power has no ability to become a magician kindly leave the building¡± (Old Man) ¡°Hey dad, what do the numbers mean?¡± I kindly ask my father ¡°Well the numbers are the strength of your magical power, the minimum required to become a magician is at least 50, well the highest has numbered in the 250¡¯s¡± (Dad) As my dad explained this I noticed that everyone else had already gone and it was now my turn. So I walked up ,with my parents following close behind. ¡°Hello young man my name is Charles, may I kindly ask you for your name?¡± (Charles) ¡°My name is Wolfe¡± I swiftly reply ¡°Ok Wolfe, if you would so kindly place your hand upon this orb to test your magical power¡± (Charles) So with a swift motion of my arm, my hand is deposited upon the orb. The numbers at first slowly increase going from 1 to 2 to 5. Then it starts to really pick up the pace. The numbers start to fly by going from 5 to 15 to 60 to 200, until the numbers breeze through the thousands and even the ten thousands. The orb starts to shake and churn and all of a sudden explodes turning into millions of shining particles floating through the air. If you find this story on Amazon, be aware that it has been stolen. Please report the infringement. The old man with a deathly pale face mutters ¡°God¡± In a matter of fact tone I say ¡°How could that be possible I obviously have two loving wonderful parents that brought me into this world how could I be a god, Right Mom and Dad¡± Quickly turning around gave me a sudden surprise as both my parents had fainted and were collapsed on the wooden floor of the building. I turned around yet again to ask the Old Man why so much magical power could possibly make me a god, although now that I think about it the my dad said the highest numbers was in the 250¡¯s. But to my surprise yet again instead of the old man I was face to face with a tall and wiry man wearing a golden colored robe. ¡°Hello young man, I would like to invite you, all expenses paid in full, to the Horakle Academy the best academy on the Human Continent.¡± (Mysterious Man) ¡°My name is Wolfe Mister,Although I dutifully accept I would like to know for what reason you are inviting me to your esteemed academy¡± I proudly say ¡°My name is Barth, The headmaster of Horakle Academy. You are being invited because of that absurd amount of magical power¡± (Barth) Just as he says those words my parents who had earlier fainted shot to their feet and both shouted. ¡°HE ACCEPTS¡± Barth gave out a short chuckle while pulling a few sheets out of his robe. Handing them over he told us that these were the registration forms and if I really wanted to go I could mail these in within the next few months and still get in for the start of next years first term. My parents, being super energetic, almost rip Barth¡¯s hands out with the registration form still in them. Continuously shouting thank you over and over again until Barth finally leaves, my parents almost crush me to death with a massive hug afterward. Although I don¡¯t die I faint right then and there. The Magical Workman Chapter 7: Going to School Soon I woke up in my bed at home feeling exhausted. When I looked around right after I opened my eyes both of my parents were sitting in chairs, pointing towards me, fast asleep. I quickly woke them up by shaking both of them hard. ¡°Uhhhh¡± groaned my dad and mom at the same time as they started to shift from their slumber. They started to get up, but collapsed in their chairs as soon as they stood up. ¡°Hey Mom, Dad get up¡± I shouted into both of their ears They shot up from their chairs, but instead of collapsing they stood up perfectly straight. ¡°Hey dad, why was the offer to go to this school so important¡± I cautiously ask my dad ¡°Well you see, this school is the number one school on the whole human continent, and you, with that amount of magical power absolutely should go to that school to learn how to control it, and learn what your elements are.¡± Replied my dad ¡°What about learning swordsmanship from you, and craftsmanship from mom?¡± (Me) ¡°Well school doesn¡¯t even start for a while, so let¡¯s bring this registration form to the post office, and for these few months we can teach you as much as we possibly can¡± (Dad) ¡°Ok sounds good Dad¡± (Me) So with a speed incomparable to normal humans my dad and I delivered the registration form to the post office, after we filled it out, and quickly scampered home. ¡°First in the mornings you are going to train your body, at noon I¡¯m going to teach you my simple swordsmanship, and in the afternoon and evening you will be taught craftsmanship by your mother¡± (Dad) ¡°Ok first off we are going to train your body, you are going to be wearing this first for your body training, and later when you get used to that we can increase the weight¡± Said my dad quickly handing me what looked like normal leather clothing, but actually weighed at least 30 pounds. I quickly stripped down and put these clothes on, it was actually quite heavy considering I¡¯m only five years old. ¡°To start off I want five laps around the house and at least one hundred pushups and one hundred sit-ups¡± I sped off starting my first lap around the house. The perimeter of my house was only about 1000ft all the way around but on my second lap I was already starting to wheeze. I mean come on you try to carry 30 pounds of weight and run almost a mile when you¡¯re only five. Love what you''re reading? Discover and support the author on the platform they originally published on. On my fourth lap I was about ready to collapse, I was slowing down and it was hard to keep a good pace. I barely managed to get through the fifth lap without collapsing. As soon as I got back to my dad on the fifth lap, he shouted for me to start pushups and later the sit-ups. I somehow managed to get through the first round of training but I was extremely exhausted so my dad gave me an hour to rest before sword practice. The hour flew by and I was quickly back to my dad for what I would assume to be hellish training. My dad handed me a small wooden sword that probably weighed about five punds ¡°Before we even get into the basics of the basics, I want you to learn the proper sword swinging stance. For now I¡¯ll put you into this stance, but I want you to memorize it later. In this stance I want you to swing that sword two thousand times¡± (Dad) He scampered over to me and positioned my body into his sword stance. I started to swing the sword, one swing after the other. By the time I got to one thousand swings I was so exhausted I wanted to stab my dad and fall asleep, but he kept pushing me forward. Eventually I somehow got to two thousand sword swings, and my dad dismissed me to go to my mother. Walking into the house I found my mother sitting at the kitchen table waiting for me. I sat down as she started to explain what we we¡¯re going to do. ¡°First I¡¯ll teach you the basics of sewing, then after you master that I¡¯ll teach you simple cooking, after that I¡¯ll teach you basic alchemy and herbology, and finally I¡¯ll teach you basic survival skills, such as starting a fire or skinning an animal. Before we even start that go take a bath you stink¡± (Mother) Sitting back down after washing off, I was presented with some scraps of leather, a needle, and some thread. Explaining everything in vivid detail, my mother got me to somehow scrap together a leather pouch, but that wasn¡¯t good enough for my mom. We worked the rest of the afternoon and all evening until she finally was somewhat happy with my work. I went to my room mentally and physically exhausted, and I fell asleep quickly. The Magical Workman Chapter 8: Going to School or Not Enjoy ----------------------------------------------------------- First off I got my body into shape and then some. If you could classify me in ranks, which apparently there are in this world which I didn¡¯t know before, I would be a third rank warrior. For a few months this speed at which I advanced can be considered absolutely genius. Oh I forget to mention it goes from 1 to 9 rank for both warriors and magicians and then to grevtix rank. Although magicians can be considered stronger as they can wipe out whole armies with AOE (Area of Effect) spells. From my mom I learned sewing, cooking, survival skills (skinning animals, setting up shelter), alchemy, and she even taught me tanning so I can so my own clothes with the leather I get. It was super hard but I managed to push through some way or another. Now begins my journey to go to school. When I say journey I mean lame old boring teleportation. Apparently I¡¯m so important to the headmaster and the academy that the headmaster just had to teleport me to the academy instead of me getting a ride there, which would¡¯ve only takin me 5 days. Like damn, you party poopers. So as soon as I arrived in the headmaster¡¯s office he immediately handed me some papers. The papers stated my courses that I would be taking this semester. On the paper was Intermediate casting, Intermediate Summoning, Intermediate Runes, and Intermediate casting circles. I was confused, why didn¡¯t I get to pick my classes? Why are these all intermediate? So of course I ask the headmaster ¡°The beginner classes are for those who don¡¯t have that much magical power, so they can learn to get used to their small amount. Anyone who has at least 150 magical power automatically goes into intermediate classes. You didn¡¯t get to pick because unlike advanced classes, beginner and intermediate classes only have a few classes so you can get used to the stuff your learning before you learn more specialized magic.¡± (Headmaster) If you discover this tale on Amazon, be aware that it has been stolen. Please report the violation. After giving me my paper and explaining, my headmaster handed me a key and walked with me to my dorm. We quickly arrived in front a room that had in massive lettering the number 1000. I unlocked the room door and walked inside. It was a pretty big room, maybe about 200ft room. There was a king sized bed a few drawers and even its own bathroom. I put my stuff away, and flopped onto the bed. After sitting for a while I was bored. There was nothing for me to do. So I decided to walk around. After getting out of my room, I proceeded to walk down the hallway. I saw many different classrooms, none filled, as this was two days before school even started. I kept walking until I walked right out the door, and started to walk all around the grounds. There were a few separate buildings, most of them classrooms except for one. This building was bigger than even the main building. It was the stadium. A round Globish thing probably about 200,000 sq ft. It looked cool so I decided to walk in. It was even better than I imagined. A massive stage in the very center, with very intricate designs on and surrounding it. Then came the seats. Row after row of seats. Enough to fit thousands of students. It was awesome. ¡°Enjoying the view there¡¡.. The Magical Workman Chapter 9: The Girl Final testing for school is coming around, two weeks at best, and the amount of chapters will be slowing down (even though they weren''t that abundant in the start), but hopefully the ones that do start to come out will be longer and detailed than these basically "filler chapters". After finals, chapters will pick up and probably be about 3-4 a week. Enjoy ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ¡°Enjoying the view there¡± Said someone who then proceeded to put their hand on my shoulder. I turned around in an elegant twirl to see who it was. It was a girl about my age. She was pretty cute, had light brown hair, deep emerald green eyes and a silky smooth face. Any single individual could instantly tell she would be one of those rare beauties when she grew up. ¡°Hahaha, sorry for bothering you, but you looked like you were having fun and I was wondering if I could join you. My name is Lilia by the way¡± ¡°Well my name is Wolfe, of course you can join me¡± I told her. She extended one of her pearly white hands which quickly was in my grasp. As I was walking with Lilia she asked me a question. ¡°So how did you manage to get into this school, I imagine you have quite a high amount of magical power¡± ¡°Well¡. I kinda don¡¯t know how big it is, but it¡¯s pretty big.¡± I replied ¡°What do you mean you don¡¯t know how big it is?¡± Said Lilia ¡°Well¡ you see the orb that was testing me shot up into the really high numbers rather quickly, but before it could finish it shattered¡± I turned to look at Lilia really fast to look at her face. Her mouth was wide open and you could clearly see the disbelief on her face. ¡°I can¡¯t believe you would dare lie to me¡± Said Lilia, and with a slap to my face she walked away from me. I was depressed, a evidently furture hot girl that I might be able to woo and she thinks I lied to her. Oh well she¡¯ll see when we test out power at the mandatory entrance exam. I scampered back to my room, exhausted. I laid down in the bed and promptly fell asleep. This story originates from a different website. Ensure the author gets the support they deserve by reading it there. The days passed quickly and just like that it was time for the entrance exam. Getting out of bed was tiring for me, but I managed to push myself to wash my face and put on some basic clothes. I walked quickly to where the headmaster said the test was taking place. The place where the test was taking place was the entrance to the school. Instead of the normal orbs what stood at the entrance was a massive testing pillar. This pillar was much more accurate than the orbs and was used to ensure that everyone coming to the school was legit and didn¡¯t cheat the original testing. Getting there I was welcomed by a huge line of children and their parents. Almost all were higher nobles with elegant clothing and an aura of arrogance. When most saw me they snickered and whispered to their parents who in turn whispered back. Probably speaking of my appearance and how I was a country bumpkin. I arrived in the back of the line. To pass the time I was thinking about how surprised Lilia would be when she saw my testing score. I was hoping she would be out of her mind. As I was thinking I spotted Lilia approaching the pillar. ¡®hmm, I wonder how much magical power she has¡¯ Lilia placed her hand on the pillar and the number instantly shot up to 297. I was pleasantly surprised and it was probably evident on my face because Lilia spotted me and smirked. ¡®I¡¯ll show her¡¯ When it was finally my turn I cautiously approached the pillar. I gently placed my hand on the pillar. At first nothing happened and I was about to break out into a cold sweat, but the number instantly shot up. 10¡¯s 100¡¯s 1000¡¯s the numbers had no bounds as they shot upwards in a fast spectacle. Soon the stress was too much and the pillar started to crack. Soon the cracks spread throughout the whole pillar. Then finally the pillar shattered but unlike the orb it left very large chunks. I turned around staring at everyone¡¯s surprised faces. I scanned through the crowd looking very carefully. Soon I came upon Lilia. Her mouth was open in shock and her face was slightly contorted. In satisfaction I gave her a hefty arrogant smirk The Magical Workman Chapter 10: Actually Starting Classes Needless to say won''t be posting much in the next two weeks because of finals and other stuff, but after these two weeks are over it will shoot off. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- I turned around to see what I assumed was a teacher walk up to me. ¡°My god, how much magical power do you have little child¡± ¡°Umm I don¡¯t know¡± ¡°Well¡.. Ok make sure not to hurt yourself or anyone else¡± Said the teacher as he walked away with an expression of disbelief I turned around once again only to find myself getting hugged by someone. ¡°I¡¯m sorry I didn¡¯t believe you¡± Lilia said hugging me even harder. ¡°It¡¯s fine, just please¡¡ let me go¡± I managed to squeeze out even though I could barely breathe. ¡°Well, what classes do you have? Are you in intermediate classes?¡± Said Lilia as she pulled out her class schedule I pulled out mine right after her and waalaa we both had the same exact classes. ¡°Cool how about we go to our first class together¡± Lilia put her hand into mine and practically started to drag me forward in the direction of classes. ¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª We got to our first class shortly after. It was intermediate casting. Lilia and I sat down in some back row seats right next each other and chatted about home life a few minutes, waiting for our teacher. Apparently her father was a high ranking noble of the Yiracan kingdom. She had four brothers, and two sisters, two brothers and both sisters were already at this academy. I didn¡¯t really learn anything else but I did talk to her about my family and living condition. As we were talking students filed in occasionally filling up the rest of the seats, and a little bit later the teacher finally came in. He was a tall fat man. Very greedy looking and greasy with sweat and human oils. He didn¡¯t teach us anything to today but talked about casting theory and magic theory and such. Basically that¡¯s how every one of my classes went that day. Getting in with Lilia, talking a bit well waiting for the teacher, and listening to theory from the teacher. We didn¡¯t actually learn anything whatsoever today. My day ended with me going back to my dorm room and falling asleep ¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª- The second day was almost exactly like the first minus the crashing pillar and it was in all honestly the most boring thing I ever experienced in both of my lives. If you encounter this story on Amazon, note that it''s taken without permission from the author. Report it. But then the third day we finally started to learn basic magic. I got into class and sat down at a desk and saved the seat next to me for Lilia. She came, sat down, and we casually talked waiting for the teacher. The teacher came through the door as the last of the students settled down in their seats. This time though instead of talking about theory he told us to get into a meditative position on top of our desks. ¡°So what you need to is relax and feel for the mana inside your body, become one with the mana and when you do open your eyes to signify that you¡¯re done. Most people won¡¯t even get it well into their 20th time meditating so don¡¯t worry about not feeling it today or even the next several times¡± Honestly I wasn¡¯t surprised when I immediately felt my mana pool as my mana pool was immensely massive, but other than me no one felt their mana pool all throughout that day (All our teacher made us meditate). The fourth day however in casting class a few others broke through and became one with their mana pool. Even Lilia broke through, I was honestly happy for her and told her that, which made her blush deep red. Instead of making us wait he made the rest of the meditators go to the back of the room well he taught us quietly in the front about magic casting. In short most spells require a chant or a shortened chant, although there are some rare individuals that can use voice-less chanting, to use, as this allows the mana to shape itself into that spell in controlled amounts. If you didn¡¯t use a chant or had voice-less chanting, you could still use the spell, but with the big risk it could go out of control, with small spells this wasn¡¯t a problem but big spells could kill the caster absorbing all his/her mana or kill many other individuals that get caught in the spell. He then taught us the most basic spells which didn¡¯t require chanting, as they were too small to go out of control, but instead for us to imagine the spell in our minds. He told us about a basic light spell, and a basic fire spell. Needless to say it didn¡¯t exactly work out when I tried it. Instead of a small lighter sized amount of fire that was supposed to happen, there was a fireball the size of watermelon in my hands that accidently got released and caught the classroom on fire, oopsie. The Magical Workman Chapter 11: Testing the Elements Just one more week until testing is over, hopefully I can get one more chapter out before then. although this chapter is short enjoy. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Oh what do you know it¡¯s been three years already. These three years have been very uneventful. Nothing new, just Lilia and magic classes. Not to say Lilia is boring it¡¯s just that three years of the same thing over and over again is pretty boring. I mean for peat sakes I¡¯m only 10 years old this year. I want to go out to play and have fun too. I didn¡¯t even learn what my element or elements were for, I only learned some basic chants and basic spells that anyone can use regardless of element. I mean come on who wouldn¡¯t find that amazingly boring. Today is the day we go try out some different higher level spells to find out what element. Needless to say it¡¯s pretty easy to find out. Although you can perform basic elemental spells of any type, you can only do higher level spells of your element. So as soon as Lilia and I walked to the classroom of intermediate casting for the thousandth or so time, we were whisked away to the training ground. No surprise there we knew it was coming, that didn¡¯t mean we weren¡¯t excited though. Lilia was practically going crazy, bouncing all over the place. Like jeez how excited can one get. Our still fat, greasy, disgusting teacher got us all to line up when we reached the training, and what do you know, we went one at a frickin time. It might not seem that long to some people, but when you have 30 different kids going one at a time trying to cast 10 different spells that they can¡¯t even get right the third time it¡¯s LONG!! If you discover this tale on Amazon, be aware that it has been stolen. Please report the violation. Thankfully me and Lilia were 9 and 10 respectively else we would be waiting for our turn forever, and I would have long been crushed by the hug Lilia crunched me with when we got into line, that she held until it was her turn. Like sheesh what¡¯s her level of strength. She¡¯s only ten, like me! Anyways it was Lilia¡¯s turn, but unlike all those other kids she chanted the spells perfectly! She only had three different types though. She could use wind, water, and summoning. She even summoned a monster for her summons. A cute little lemur looking thing that I would¡¯ve absolutely killed for it was so cute. Too bad it bit me¡.. Hard. Right square on the bicep and it was so hard it started to bleed, cry cry. Anyways so I got up to the stand for my turn, no surprise there, and then the teacher gave me the sheet with the chants, and ran away only stopping to set up a quick barrier in front of all the other kids. Like dang is he that afraid of my power? So I started with the easiest, Destruction. ¡°The world shall behold my destruction as I release it upon my enemies, heed my call and destroy at my whim¡± ¡°Bomb¡± I didn¡¯t even get a chance to cry in shock, the explosion covered most of the training ground. The barrier held it for a moment but then shattered, but no one was hurt as far as I could tell. That wasn¡¯t the same for me though. I went flying through the air, just like the shrapnel of exploding bombs. I flew past the kids, getting in a quick glance of Lilia¡¯s shocked and worried face. Then I slammed into the wall of the building that was near the training ground and promptly lost consciousness in a sea of darkness. The Magical Workman Chapter 12: Injured A short chapter, sorry I''ve been very busy haven''t been able to write, I shall write more and better chapters in the future. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- When I came too all I saw was a bright sea of light, probably sunlight, streaming through my eyes. Needless to say I was blinded. Then I heard a rustling sound, a bit of shouting, and the world went dark once more. ¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª- I woke up again, but this time it was dark with a bit of glowing. I tried to turn my head to see what was glowing, and it hurt so bad that I nearly pass out from the immense pain. I hear someone shifting in a chair, only to lift up. I heard the person walking toward me, they probably knew I woke up. Closing my eyes for a minute, I opened them to find Lilia standing over me staring into my face. Her eyes were bloodshot, her face inconceivably pale. There were tears forming in her eyes and I knew she was crying because of me. I tried to speak, but the only thing that came out was a long creaky croak. Lilia stood up straight and walked away only to return with a glass of water. This story is posted elsewhere by the author. Help them out by reading the authentic version. She held it too my lips, and I drank like I had never had a drink of water in my whole life. I was only stopped when Lilia took the glass away and in a low saddened voice told me to drink slower. I listened, drinking the glass slowly, but I still drained it within seconds. I stared straight into Lilia¡¯s eyes. ¡°How long have I been out¡± Lilia burst into tears, reaching out with my hand I grabbed her back and pulled her toward me, rubbing her back as I did so. ¡°Yo-You¡¯ve been out fo-for two wee-weeks¡± Lilia told me through her torrent of tear drops. I lifted up my head, the pain was there, but I pushed through it. Gently lifting Lilia off of me, I lifted off the blanket. I was missing a few toes, and had a few scars on my torso. I snorted, no surprise there. I once again looked into Lilia¡¯s beautiful eyes and asked ¡°How long until I can leave?¡±
