《Darks Rising》 Prologue and intro Four shadows were seen running in the night or heard more like it. The three chasing the other shadows were guards of the Lanock Kingdoms home of the beast men and women. The kingdom has many types of beast men from wolves, dogs, cats, bears, and foxes there was quite a variety of people. But there was one odd man out and that would be the human that they call dark who also happens to be the young man running away from the guards. He first came to the town from nightmare forest where no one has ever gone in or out of without being driven insane, and yet this 9 year old boy did. But that was 7 years ago and after questioning him they found he had no memories of who he was or what his name is so they named him dark because of his appearance. Dark has hair as black as night, Snow White skin, and cold violet eyes that almost seem to glow in the dark or look at your very soul. "But that is enough of describing him and the past". Dark was ring from the guards because he likes pulling pranks on people and pouring ice cold water on sleeping guards doesn''t really make anyone happy so back to the chase. Sense they weren''t paying any attention to dark he was able run into an alley and up the side of a building safely escaping the guards without being seen. Guard 1,2,&3: huh where did he go? As dark watched the guards give up the search and return to their posts he began to laugh. Hahahahaha those fools never should have slept on the job. As he was laughing he looked to the sky and said Ah it''s getting pretty dark out I should head back home. So he walked to out of the city and into the forest where his treehouse that he made 6 years ago stood. After a few years he made a fireplace, bathroom, and a kitchen. When he first came here some of the villagers threw in some money and got him a magic tub that keeps water warm a toilet that always stayes clean and a fridge. As he laid in bed and thought over the days events he remembered that tommorow was the the adventurers tournament which happens every 10 years with an entry age of 16 or older. As he thought of this he went to sleep. Chapter 2 Adventure Tournament prt 1 (Message from the author aka me, I will be making the chapters longer. The last one was short because I was doing it by phone at 12:30 am so it will hopefully be longer and better ;). Dark: I woke up after a restful sleep and did my morning practice 1000 push ups, sit ups, jumping jacks, crunches, rolls, and jumps. After I got all sweaty and tired at least physically that is I began to practice my Magic. Yes i said it I can use magic and when I say magic I don''t mean the regular stuff like fire, water, air, earth, metal, nature, holly, dark, and mystical. I''m talking about a new magic that no one else I know could use it. I call it fear because it allows me to create fear and use it and when I mean use it I mean that I can make your fears into reality. Say that someone is afraid of a demon, I can manifest that creature and it will start attacking them and if says that they don''t fear anything I can either make a fear that will affect them or make the people around them see that person as what they fear. After practicing for a while and getting techniques down I took a bath. When I finished with my bath I took some food from the fridge and began to grill meat and vegetables. After my breakfast I packed a lunch for later and put on my best armor. My armor is fully black with a red trimming. It''s pretty strong sense steel blades can''t cut it. The armor is made of leather that I got from killing a few wolf packs and there alphas. The armor was light but very durable so it allowed me to have free movement. If your wondering if I picked any weapons up, I didn''t I just couldn''t find a weapon that would fit me so I went barehanded like I did against the wolves. I began to head out to the front of the castle as every other boy and girl in the city did. When I got there the place must have been packed with a couple thousand people who wanted to participate in the tournament. It looked pretty packed so I climbed on top of a building a began to watch the king start talking. King Marcus: Ah this day is a great day it''s my favorite day after all, its the day that we have strong young and old men/women fight each other and prove their skills. I began my speech and telling everyone how I expected great things from them and that who ever won this tournament would get a special prize, my daughter or other goods if they choose so. The men and boys seemed extra happy about this for some reason I couldn''t understand so I shrugged and kept on talking. If a women won they could have gold, jewelry, and some EPIC weapons and armor. The Armor is special elven made armor that absorbs 30% of all magic attacks and the weapon is a random scythe that I found in a heavily defended and trapped chest that was found in a dungeon near here. It seems to have some dark properties but no one has been able to use it. As the long standing rule states you may not kill an opponent and your opponent can choose to forfeit or you simply knock them out to win. As I finished up with my speech I told everyone to head to the tournament grounds and prepare for battle. Princess Veronica: ( Father how could you do this! Thinking of giving away your daughter to a random fellow who might be a vicious fellow. And what if an old man wins or an arrogant noble wins what then? Oh I really hope a women wins or even a nice young man). Ha.... what am I going to do? Dark: Is the king a fool and wait I must have that weapon I have never seen any of its kind before but I feel that I must have it. As I thought about the weapon the king finished his speech and everyone began to head to the coliseum. Out of the corner of my eye I caught sight of the princess, I took a real look at her for the first time. She was a wolf type beast man and quite beautiful with her golden eyes and her white fur. She was probably 1/3 beast and 2/3 human because she only have the ears, tail, eyes, and reflexes of a wolf. She was around my age from what I hear and had a nice bust that would make a handful. I moved to the tournament grounds and looked at the list of who my 1st opponent was to be. But before I could find out I heard a mocking voice from behind me say, " Ha I might as well consider this an instant win I get to fight the human", feeling a bit annoyed I turn around to look at who said that. It was Zan Outhhart who also happens to be the kings eldest son. He was a bear type beast man weighing a little over 420lbs of pure muscle and 6"6 inches tall. He was a bully of the weak but he was also a renowned fighter and sadist when it cam to fighting. Sense it seemed that he thought that I would be an easy win I decided that I would humiliate him in from of everyone. As I walked away, I made a plan that sounded absolutely delightful it was so great that I had a smile on my face as I waited for my turn. After watching a couple of these boring matches were mages and wizards tried to use flashy magic and warriors were calling stupid skill names to show off for the crowed and king I got tired I wanted to see some real challenge and I got my wish. Out on the stage was the head of the royal guards Mardoc who is a mix between a dog beast man and an elf. It made him especially deadly in a fight sense he not only was physically strong but he could also use magic to attack or protect himself. His opponent was probably the strangest person in the entire city. His opponent after all was a female dark elf who used twin chakras as weapons. These weapons allowed he to attack both at close and long range and there seemed to be an enchantment of them that pulsed electricity throughout the weapons. She had a lean build that was built for speed and seemed to know a thing or two about magic. I learned that her name was Alice and that she is an adventurer who is here with her party for the tournament, after all anyone can join. The battle was intense from the get go as soon as the announcer began the fight Alice shot a dark bolt at Mardoc which he deflected by summoning a shield in front of him to stop the bolt. The impact caused an explosion that blocked his vision so he didn''t see the chakras as they came flying at him. He easily jumped over both of them though as he could hear them with his enhanced hearing. As he jumped back he sent a gust of wind to clear away the dust that rose from the explosion and saw his enemy charging him. As Alice got close he activated the spell earth spike which shot out of the ground trying to impale Alice. She barely dodged it and got cut along her leg thus reducing her movement by a lot. Alice checked to see if her opponent was going to attack but he was not it seemed that he was just waiting for her to either tire out or watch her faint from blood loss so she quickly came up with a plan and used the spell fog to block his vision where she once again threw her chakras to attack him from the sides. Mardoc thinking that she was just dong the this to buy time summoned two shields at either side of him what he didn''t see is that Alice had caste lighting which channeled threw the weapons destroyed his shields. As Mardoc frantically tried to cast new shields he was punched in the face by Alice who ran over in the cover of fog. The punch sent Mardoc flying into the coliseum wall where he lay unconscious. Thus Alice won the battle and the healers came out to fix there injuries. I was impressed in a difficult situation she thought it out and made a great plan. I was a bit disappointed in Mardoc though because he should have finished her instead of trying to wait it out. As I was thinking this the announcer called out the next opponents who happened to be me and Zan. So I began walking to the field ready to set my plan in motion. Chapter 3 Adventure Tournament prt 2 Note from author( instead of writing that in every time I think ill just put in these ( ) for messages from me oh and leave a comment if you think I need to improve on anything I am willing to listen? read to what you have to say) Dark: I began to head out to the field where my opponent stood thinking that he already won. Than he saw me and looked a bit surprised that I even showed up but that surprise quickly turned to anger as he thought that he could just win with his name and tittle alone. I looked to the crowd and saw that they expected it to be an easy win for Zan, they were even betting against me. As I looked around I noticed Alice looking at me and when our eyes met i felt a spark pass between us. She smiled until she saw that people were betting against me so she walked over and bet on me instead. At this i decided that my plan would need adjusting I would need to humiliate him in front of everyone and make sure that Alice won the bet. After a few moments of waiting for the announcer Zan began to try to mock me for being a human and other stuff I didn''t really hear because I was busy not listening to him. At this Zan became enraged and said that he would beat me so badly that my parents wouldn''t recognize me. I laughed at this as I don''t have any parents and told him he is a weakling and a fool. This made him livid and he began to tense up like he really was going to try to beat me to death. The announcer arrived just in time to say begin as Zan caste haste which allows him to move 2 to 3 times faster than normal. He came charger at me with the intent to truly beat me to death that was when I finally noticed his weapon. It looked like a two handed mace made of ebony, it had spikes that protruded from the weapon and it seemed that the weapon held some magical property that I couldn''t figure out. But i was easily able to figure it out as he swung at me and the weapon began to glow green. It seamed that the mace was instilled with dark and nature magic allowing it to drain the opponents stamina and mana. I guess this fight will be a tiny bit more difficult than I thought. Zan: As I began to mock the strange looking human and talking badly about his family to the crowd I looked over my shoulder to see his expression. What I saw angered me, he wasn''t even listening and completely ignoring. As I began to open my mouth to say even more profanities about him and his family he told me that I was weak and a fool. I decided at that moment that I would kill him. I began to prepare a warrior skill called haste as the announcer arrived. Exactly when he said start I used the skill and came running at him with my weapon. The fool didn''t even move as I got within striking distance and swung at him. I showed a smirk at I thought he was all talk and no show but than he was no longer within the reach of my weapon. Dark: Exactly when he swung I ducked down and crouched right in front of him, sense he put a lot of strength into that hit he wasn''t able to dodge as I kicked him in the stomach and launched him through the air. He came falling down a good 15feet away from me and looked a little baffled as if he had no idea that he even got hit. Everyone in the stadium was quite as if they couldn''t believe what they saw. Zan began to get up and when he did he took a more cautious stance before moving in for the attack again. He came in much faster and his attacks weren''t as flawed as the last in fact I would say they were sharper, stronger, and didn''t waste any of his energy. As I dodged yet again I felt a bit weird when I looked at my body it seemed that his weapon had drained me of some of my stamina and mana. It seems that when he gets serious the weapon also get a power up. The range in now letting the weapon take my energy within 3 feet of him. Hmmm this is a bit troubling I think ill end this early instead of trying to drag this out. I quickly scanned his fears and saw that he feared. I found a couple of thing but most of them are natural fears like being afraid of the dark when he was young, the fear of being rejected by everyone, and finally the fear of undead which is pretty understandable as if you are killed there is a chance to be revived as one of them unliving and unfeeling you would kill anyone even your friends and family without batting an eye. So I began to manifest all of his fears as one, a portal of darkness ripped open in front of him spewing a miasma of death and darkness. From within came an undead version of his family who began to attack him. He could easily block the dead but he couldn''t strike him down as they looked exactly like his family so it was at a stale mate. Until the fear of rejection came in. Crowd: To anyone watching from the stands this battle was an amazing feat, no one thought that Dark would stand a chance against Zan but there he was kicking Zan''s ass without even trying. After they watched Zan get sent flying with a kick they thought it was over until Zan stood up and started fighting, faster, stronger, and smarter than before. The battle looked like it would end in a stale mate until they saw Zan use magic for the first time in there lives. The magic he used felt horrible and made them feel all weak and diseased. As they watched a portal formed in front of Zan where an undead version of his family cam out and began to attack him. He was able to deflect the creatures attacks but they knew he wouldn''t be able to kill them as they also wouldn''t be able to kill there own family if attacked. But that when Zan began to lose. Dark: As I watched Zan began to look worn out and tired from the physical and mental blows he was taking. No one else was able to hear what Zan heard and they most definitely don''t want to hear what was yelled at Zan. Zan: Zan couldn''t understand why the cities people began to talk badly about him some of them were yelling about how weak and pathetic he was. The worst blows came from his family as they said cruel things about him. This hurt him mentally and emotionally and he began to take more hits from the undead. He decided that giving up was a better option than living in this hell any longer and he began to say "I giv...... Dark: I heard Zan begin to say that he gives up but I didn''t give him a chance. I upped the fear he was feeling to greater heights and he became frozen in his own fear. I than released my undead and began to walk towards him. As I got within arms reach I started to punch his body all over the place. After a few minutes of this he had 103 broken bones in his body and to make things much more painful for him I dislocated both his arms and legs leaving helpless. The announcer came out a bit fearful and called the match over, as the healers quickly ran over to heal the prince. I won Zan lost simple as that though I did get a lot of fearful looks from the people around. The only ones I noticed who weren''t as afraid but still shocked at the brutality of what they saw was Alice and her party. As I walked of the field the announcer began to call in the next contestants. I didn''t really feel like watching the next matches because fighting an opponent that I didn''t know the skills of seemed more fun. I won my next 29 matches without any injuries which was kinda raining om my parade like come on you would think that in the thousands of people who were here there would be stronger people. It was down to the last battle me vs someone, sense I didn''t bother to check I had no idea who my opponent was. As I thought this I noticed Alice walking towards me where she stopped a few steps from me and began to say..... Alice: (I''ve watched this kid dark ever sense he beat the prince and made an example of him in front of everyone I''ll be surprised if the prince ever picks up a weapon again. Back to the kid hmmm I guess ill keep calling him that even though I''m only 2 years older. He doesn''t seem any interested in who he fights it just seems that he want a challenge. I''ve also noticed that in every fight he has never tried that much its just that everyone he fights is too weak. So I have taken it upon myself to make him try and to be the first person to injure him.) As I walked in front of him I started to say "Hi I''m Alice you''ve probably seen some of my matches". Sense we are going to fight each other for the final battle I thought that I should come over and introduce myself before the battle and to wish you luck. Dark: After she said that she just turned around and left without letting me give a reply. On the outside I looked calm and collected but on the inside I was thinking of how I could win without hurting her I knew I could easily do It i just didn''t want to show anymore of my strength. As I tried to think of ways to get out of my dilemma the announcer came out and told us that the final fight is going to begin and that the challengers should head out to the field. With slumped shoulders I walked out and began to prepare for the fight of my life...... (Mwahahahahaha) Chapter 4 Adventure tournament final ( Sorry for being late I have track and then my family and I watched a movie that is why I am writing this so late.) Dark: I arrived on the field at the same time as Alice. We both looked to each other and nodded as we began to get ready for what was to be an awe inspiring fight. I decided that I wouldn''t use my magic abilities unless if I really needed to and that I would use 5% of my physical strength. I looked over at Alice and saw that she was using haste, bravery, and berserk with her dark ki there also seemed to be a barrier around her for defensive purposes. (bravery increases the users strength by 200% and berserk increases strength by 500%, speed by 200% and reflexes by 100%.) When the match started she threw her chakras at me and shot a electric from the front. I quickly punched the ground causing stones to fly up around me and used them to deflect her weapons and magic. I felt I was in danger for a sec so I jumped back 15 feet and saw that she had jumped and tried to attack me from the top. Exactly where I was standing was a creator that was formed from her punching the ground. She quickly picked up her weapons and began to attack me again. While I would normally think out my battles I decided that I would finally have some fun and went 10%. I intercepted Alice before she could throw her chakras again and punched her. As my fist connected with her shield everyone could hear and explosion go off. The explosion was from the impact of my fist meeting her shield. Alice went flying through the air and crashed into the side of the stadium. As the dust cleared I saw that the shield was cracked in quite a bit of places but Alice was other wise unharmed. She quickly jump out of the wall and started to combine her ki and magic into one. Hmmm I never thought this was possible, well maybe I did nut that was only in a book I read. There are two known stages of this ability and it depends on your soul/personality. One covers your body in shadows it makes you insanely strong and fast but at the price of going crazy and wild, I would say that it increases you ability by 1000%. The other Is similar except that your body turns into white light which allows you to be 500% faster and stronger plus it allows you to regenerate your wound by a good 200%. Alice seemed to be the light type as she began to glow and repair her shield. She began to shoot all kinds of magic bolts at me that were way stronger and faster than the last. So I started to do the same I began to shoot bolts filled with small to ordinary sized fears at her. My bolts started to eat away at her bolts as I pushed her back that was until she flash stepped in front of me and kicked me in the stomach. I was sent flying but was able to create a rope of fear to grab on to her leg and pull her towards me. We both crashed with me landing on top of her. I felt a very pleasant sensation in my hand it was firm and soft at the same time. I quickly realized what I was holding on to and let go. I lay there on the ground wondering why the slap did more physical damage than the punch. I took a quick look over and saw Alice running towards me red in the face and ready to deal some punishment. She was about to hit me again until I decided to end this. I put 30% of my strength into my fist and punched threw the shield and hit her in the gut that would have normally destroyed a mountain but with all her abilities running she was able to survive, Alice was launched 60feet into the air I thought I was good but I saw her try to heal herself so I decided to knocked her out as she fell I drop kicked her in the face towards the ground at 10% strength that was the final straw. She hit the ground hard and didn''t get up. The announcer declared me the winner and the healers ran over to check if she was still alive. Thank god she lived or else this would have ended worse that It could have. She regained consciousness after a few moments and tried to attack until she noticed the healers around her and figured out that she lost. She accepted her loss like a champ even if she did call be a pervert which I didn''t really think I deserved but hey what am I going to do. She came walking over to give me a handshake and that''s when she tripped and fell on top of me pushing me over. I noticed a wet feeling on my lips, both of our faces turned red as we noticed that we just kissed each other. Alice scrambled up and ran away while calling me a pervert. I laid there on the ground for a while wondering what I should do when the announcer walked into the room and told me the king wanted to see me about my reward and to throw a party in my honor. So I followed the man in a daze as I arrived before the king. He began to congratulate me in a very lengthy speech which I didn''t listen to as I was busy deciding on what I should take when I remembered his speech. He never said that I could only take one thing and this gave me an Idea on what I should ask for. After a few more minutes he began to ask me what I wanted, I told him the weapon and armor and some money. He looked shocked that I didn''t ask for his daughter but chose everything else when I could have it all. I told him I planned of traveling to become stronger and learn more about my abilities. He thought that this was a wise decision and began to give me my items. After I had everything I thanked him and started to leave. The king told me to stop and asked me if I could do him a favor I said yes It couldn''t hurt that bad was what I thought until he told me to take his daughter with him... Chapter 5 Break (I will try to slow down a little so that it doesn¡¯t advance to fast, also the reason I haven¡¯t posted in a while is because I placed first in a track meet and because I¡¯ve been trying to fix some of my work I just haven¡¯t figured out how. I also don¡¯t want to make to many characters so some of them will have their names be there job description.) Dark: After the king gave me everything I wanted I left him and his speechless daughter after I told them that I was going to stay in the city for a few days and find some companions plus weapons and armor for Veronica. The king waved this away and told me she already had some weapons and armor and that I should meet her In-front of the castle in three days. So I left the castle and began to head to the Adventurers Guild. It¡¯s a place where people can go to accept quest of various difficulties and get rewards from it. When I entered the guild, ¡°I was met by the stares of the guild leader and some of the adventurers¡±. What surprised me the most was that Alice and her party was also in the guild. I guess that they completed a quest before coming to this city and going to the local guild. I decided to ignore them for now and began to head up to the guild leaders office. I arrived and found a nice comfortable chair to sit in as I waited for the guild leader. He arrived 5 min later and asked me what I needed as this is what he told me to do If I ever needed anything. I told him my plan, I wanted to explore the world and attend the magic school known as the Spire. (Its one really big spire surrounded by 10 other spires: and massive walls in case the place is ever under attack). Each spire teacher an element or class, there is a fire, water, earth, air, nature, dark, light, beast taming, alchemy, and enchanting classes, plus the basic mathematics, history, arts, and literature in the main spire. I also told him the Kings orders that his daughter will be going with me to get to know me better and I came here to hire some adventurers for her protection. He said it was a great idea and he had just the group in mind he would just have to ask them if they wanted to do it. He told me to come back tomorrow at noon and he would have my answer by then. He also gave me some papers with my guild rank and the benefits that come with it. I stashed these papers away and began to head home. On the way, 4 men came and surrounded me demanding that I give them what I won and that if I didn¡¯t they would kill me and take it. I looked around and saw that there was no one out but them and began to smile as the entire area became shrouded in shadows. I began to head home and thought of what the poor guard or villager who them this will do. I shrugged my shoulder and kept of walking. I finally got home did my routine, ate something, and finally went to bed. You could be reading stolen content. Head to the original site for the genuine story. In the morning I was woken up by the scream of a women and immediately realized why so after getting ready I left and walked towards the area where I left the ¡°bodies¡±. When I got there their was quit a crowed but I could still see my work, I could also see the horror and disgust on the other peoples faces as they thought about who could do such a thing. You see the first man looked like he was eaten alive my thousands of bugs, his whole body was all over the place and was unrecognizable. The second had its intestines ripped out and stuffed down its mouth. But I have to say the 3rd and 4th were the best as they were combined together to make some sort of animal with arms coming from its chest and stomach while its legs were in the same places that they would be on a dog. The final pieces were the head, which were attacked at the crotch and back. The odd part was that the creature was alive and moving about while talking about its lives. The guards were disgusted by this and killed the creature in a pity death. I watched for a little before moving to the Adventurers Guild and talking to the Guild leader. He said that the group had accepted and were ready to go when he was. When I asked where they were he said in the back room. So I went back there and was surprised to find Alice and her group waiting there. I asked them why they wanted to do this they said that It would be fun, they could get famous, and some of them also wanted to go to the Spire or the battle academy for warriors and the like that was next door while Alice said she was doing it for personal reasons so I left it at that and told them to come to the palace so that we could collect the princess and be on our way. When we arrived we found the king waiting with Veronica in tow with some of her maids. Veronica was wearing light silver armor that protected he main arteries but allowed free movement and a silver staff that can channel magic. The maids also caught my attention as they moved like soldiers instead of regular workers so I asked about them. The king said that they were private guards of the princess and that they would help with cooking, making shelter, and taking care of our equipment. I learned that these maids were identical twins whose names were Sharon and Sydney. Sharon I good at cooking and uses earth magic while her sister Sydney is an enchanter and knows a lot about maintaining a good weapon. When we were ready to head out the king gave us some horses that would help us with our travels and some supplies. SO with everything split up between us we left the City to continue our adventure¡­ Chapter 6 Journey prt 1 (Haha I am back after sooo long I apologize for those who waited. My school messed up and I had to take 7 weeks of testing first the park testing for 3 weeks that acts for 2 1 more week of park testing because they messed up and then finals. Sense we all had to do these on the I-pad I really didn¡¯t want to get on any electric device for a while so I took a break. But now that I¡¯m feeling better and under the affects of drinking, an energy drink at 1:00 am I¡¯m sure ill do better. Sorry for being late.) Day 1: Dark: It would take 1 month to reach the Spire and I decided to take up that time by practicing with my new weapon and armor. I have figured out that the scythe seems to just erase anything it passes through. I noticed this by accident when I had it leaning against a tree. It became so heavy that the tree split in half and when the scythe was about to hit the rock next to it the blade just went through the rock and stopped when the rock reached the base of the scythe. I then began to test the weapon on helpless animals but I still haven¡¯t been able to test it in battle. Day 2: I was finally able to test my weapon today when a scouting party of goblins tried to attack our group in the middle of the night. Were ever I hit them that part just disappeared and the weapon seemed to get a little stronger is what I felt like. So I kept on hacking away at the goblins until my party had to yell at me to stop. It seemed that I kept on stabbing the enemy even though they were all dead and this distressed my party quite a bit. With one last glance at there white faces I left to go practice some more. Day 3: I have noticed this for a while but haven¡¯t really done anything about it everyone but me keeps on taking out these small metal plates and saying ¡°status¡± into them. When I asked Alice and Veronica about this they looked shocked. It seemed that I was the only one who didn¡¯t have a status plate. They explained that this allowed a person to check there basic stats, skills, and items without actually having to look at them and only the person who says it will see there stats no one else. Wow that pretty damn handy even though there isn¡¯t much information on it or even a name I guess I name it ¡°Greed¡± since it seems to want more blood no matter what I kill. While thinking over the information that I just received I went back to the forest to find more things to kill¡­.. (Well this has been a grudging battle at staying awake guess Ill sleep and check if the tables worked tomorrow if they didn¡¯t someone should show me how to do them. Night, oh I will also start to post more now that school is finished.) Chapter 7 Journey prt 2 (Made a title picture tell me what you think I think I might remove the mask but I don¡¯t know if I should so it stays until someone says no.) Day 7: It¡¯s been four days sense I checked my stats and realized that I am probably the strongest person in this continent. But I wont get cocky. I might have the power and some technique but a true master of fighting could beat me with there experience. So I began to watch Alice and her party as they trained during there off time and learned their every move. It took a few days but I eventually mastered their techniques. Its not perfect but it will have to do for now. Day 8: I was able to test out some of the techniques when, I was challenged by some young arrogant guy from Alices group who tried to say that it was a fluke that I beat her and he was going to prove it. He than charged at me with his sword raised high ready to strike me down when he met¡­. the ground for he had tripped on a rock and fell on his face. I was upon him in second ripping off his fingernails, breaking his bones, eating his food, and pouring spices on his wounds. He cried like a bitch I¡¯m sorry to say it probably was painful and I was about to apologize when he said that I got lucky and that he would get me next time. I looked at everyone and put my hands out wide and said is he mental? No one answered so I took that as a yes and went to sleep it off. Day 9: After some long travel we arrived at a town today called Esterwynne. It¡¯s a small little place with about 1500 people in it. There seemed to be something exciting happening right in the middle of town and when we arrived there we saw what appeared to be an arm wrestling tournament. One man was really giving it his all as he tried to force the other mans to go down but that hand wouldn¡¯t even budge. The second man didn¡¯t even seem to be trying as he sat there drinking some ale and smoking from a pipe. I asked some people in the crowed who they were and a man in his 30 replied, That they the challenger was some farmer who was called Bill maze or something and the defender was apparently the strongest man on this continent. His name was Camron and he was a trainer from the Battle academy (Battle academy: trains some of the best warriors in the world 6 different areas of training assassins, berserkers, arcane warriors, archers, beast tamers, and regular old warriors. The archers, warriors, and beast tamers trained outside while the assassins, arcane warriors, and berserkers trained underground.) before he was fired when he wouldn¡¯t train some arrogant noble who only got in because his parents paid for it. After he was fired he decided to go around different towns and give prizes to anyone who could beat him. Be it money, rare items, or even his services as a mercenary. Alice got really excited at this and decided to challenge him sense he finally decided to beat the other man. She ran up when he asked if there were any other challengers and took her seat. I thought that she would probably win if it was her but I was surprised when she could only move his hand a fourth of the way down before he brought it back and hit her hand on the stone table they used. He congratulated her on being the first person to get that far and gave her some gold. I decided that I really wanted to see what his strength was and challenged him right away. When the match began I used 300 str and pushed his hand down he looked surprised for second before he started to push back. I increased the amount of strength I used by 50 but he kept of pushing me back so I increased it again and again and again until our hand got stuck in place. It seems that his strength is at 500 no wonder he was able to beat Alice. As I looked at him I noticed that he had beads of sweat rolling down his face from the effort of what he was trying to do. So I raised my strength by two hundred and slammed his hand down on the table, which at that point cracked in half making me drive his body into the ground. There was a shocked silence before everyone broke out into applause. I picked the man up and apologized about putting him to the ground like that. He was pretty jovial about it and told me it happens. He that said that I was the first person besides his master to ever beat him and that I will receive a great reward for this feat. He reached into his bag and pulled out a book. I was about to ask for something else when he said that this book was a relic of old times that allows people to learn a new element of magic and allows you to use it. This made me perk up sense I could only use dark and fear type magic and happily accepted. I thought over my options and decided to go with ¡°nature magic¡±. The book turned into a green energy before moving into my body thus allowing me to use nature magic. Which I quickly tested out by making some flowers grow on the nearby dirt. As I did this I looked around and saw that no one noticed this and thought It best to keep my new ability a secret. After we said farewell to the towns people and Camron we continued on our way to the spire. Chapter 8 Journey prt 3 (I can finally write another chapter! Sorry for being late I was nominated to help build two houses and It sucked especially with all of the mosquitoes around hope this chapter makes you feel better that me.) Day 12: It has been a few days sense I have gained the ability to control/create plants. During my tests on some innocent animals I have learned that my plants are alive. After killing a few horned rabbits, steel slimes and some firebirds with my poisonous flowers and carnivorous plants I tried to see if I could control the animals like puppets with my plants. I created some vines and imbued them with some dark magic before sending them into the bodies of the rabbits and birds. The effect was extraordinary the vines wrapped around the bones of the animals before invading there heads where a flower bloomed from there skull. The animals began to rise and look at me with their dull lifeless eyes before changing to a shade of green as the newly formed creatures gained consciousness. They stared at me as if waiting for something before I realized that I should probably order them to do something. I thought about having them attack other animals but they would probably loose. As I was about to give up on them an idea popped into my mind I once again took control of the vines and had the vines between all of the animals combine together. This made an amazing creature, words could not describe what I was looking at but there they were standing before me five horned rabbits with wings and tentacles. The best parts were that the creatures were made entirely of steel and the tentacles were an elastic form of steel but they would sometimes have little bouts of fire shooting out the tips. They seemed much more sentient now as they tried out there new bodies, When they were done they looked upon me again and spoke. Master what do you need of us? I was surprised that they could speak but then I realized that the plants in them were the ones actually talking, as the animals had been long dead. The plants seem to have formed a sort of hive mind were one spoke for all. I decided that they would follow along with the group but at a distance of were they wouldn¡¯t be noticed and to hunt any other creatures along the path that they could find as I could either create more of them or make the current ones more powerfull. Day 15: It¡¯s been a few days and the number of Changers as I call them has increased to 25. The fist five have developed enough so that they can add in there own parts instead of me having to do it so I let those be the leaders of the group. I than sent them on a quest to increase there numbers and to make an underground base in the nearby mountains as it would be a perfect ground for training and building. I return to the camp where everyone else is and decide to talk to some of the people and learn more about the Spire and Battle Academy. The Battle Academy is a massive castle near the spire with huge open fields for training some of the best soldiers and spies around. There are six different areas of training, assassins, berserkers, arcane warriors, archers, beast tamers, and regular old warriors. The archers, warriors, and beast tamers trained outside while the assassins, arcane warriors, and berserkers trained underground for safety reasons as they wouldn¡¯t want to kill some people with there battle magic, poisons, and rage. When I asked about the Spire Most of the group didn¡¯t know anything about the Spire, as it seems that only the rich or extremely talented get in. Seeing that most of them don¡¯t know I went to ask Veronica in her enchanted tent (with is twenty times bigger on the inside) to see if she had ever been there. She told me that its (One really big spire surrounded by 10 other spires: and massive walls in case the place is ever under attack). Each spire teaches an element or class, there is a fire, water, earth, air, nature, dark, light, beast taming, alchemy, and enchanting classes, plus the basic mathematics, history, arts, and literature in the main spire. She told me that I should be wary of some of the nobles as they might not like that a commoner gets in even though there are a few in my situation. I asked why and she said it was because I was going to be hanging around with her and some of the nobles think that commoners shouldn¡¯t mix in with aristocrats. I nodded my head in acknowledgement, thanked her and left. As I left the magic tent that Veronica, Alice, Sharon, and Sydney sleep in I decided to relax for the night. There was a nearby hot spring where I decided to go and soak into. I threw of my clothes and dumped in without looking if anyone was in there was when I surfaced I was met with the glorious sight of a naked Alice. She nodded her head in understanding and I let go. Once she was able to calm down I told her that I would be leaving as her scream had probably gotten the attention of the group. I thanked her for the meal and left just in time as Sharon and Sydney ran into the area and asked Alice if she was ok and what happened.
