《Immortal in a Mysterious World(Cancelled)》 Prologue AN:So, yeah...this is my first fiction and my main language is not English so there will be mistakes. I accept all forms of criticism, hate or whatever you wanna trow at me. Every they will help me get better at English, and improve my story. ----Thank you and enjoy the read--------- Prologue: ???:¡°I want to restart my life and death cycle !¡± those were the words which made the 7 almighty being in front of me to start panicking. Well I guess they were right to fear my words, I was probably the most powerful being in the room, even if I was much younger than any one of them, my soul mutated over the years and gained strength unimaginable to anyone. ???:¡°You can''t!¡± a feminine voice resounded in the void like chamber. ???: ¡°Aleria, calm down. Mercury, why do you want that? You have only been a God for a little over 1 million years. Surely you know that it''s a really small amount of time.¡± Mercury:¡±Well for you, Atheon, it may not seem like much, seeing as the 7 of you have been Gods since the start of time. But for me who started as a mortal, those 1 million year were incredibly and utterly boring...¡± Aleria: ¡°You know, we are not here to save you from your boredom!¡± said the angry Goddess while glaring at me. Aleria: ¡°Besides, your soul has become so powerful that even with our combined strength, we can barely seal your power. We can''t do anything to your memories. Are you telling me to send you into a new world with all your memories intact?¡± That made me think a little. It was true that I was stronger than any one of them, but I didn''t think I became so ridiculously strong! Still, reincarnating with my memories, that is something I have not done till now, it''s bond to be extremely fun! Mercury: ¡°Why not? It''s not like you can deny me. You yourselves have made the rules. ¡± I sad, with a really big grin on my face, knowing that they had to grant me my wish. Herald: ¡°Very well! Atheon, I agree with him. Our rules do not have to be broken, we just need to put some conditions onto his reincarnation.¡± said with and evil grin my so called best friend. He was the God of Death and Destruction, and was actually the first God I met when I was still a mortal soul, going through the process of becoming a God. We quickly became friends. He was interested in the mortal that reached the same level of soul strength he himself possessed, the only one to ever reach even close to the souls of Gods. I, on the other had, was interested in the Gods as a whole. From my world, in which I was only a mortal, there was the common belief of only one God, which created the universe. Well I quickly learned more and more trough our friendship. He was still wondering in which world to place my strong soul when I asked him if I can become a God. He was astounded for a second. A mortal wanting to become a God! Ha! Then he figured that if I wanted to try, he will let me stay in my soul form until I gain enough power to create a body. Now that I think about it, he probably did that out of enjoyment, and expecting me to give up when I get bored, knowing that to create a body it usually took a god, with already developed powers a couple of centuries. For me, who was just a soul of a mortal, a very strong soul, but still, just a soul; there was no way I will achieve that, even if I had millions of years. Of course, I surprised him again when I reached Godhood in just 300 year. He was so surprised that he stopped talking for a year. Remembering that really makes me laugh! Still in the mest million years, I gained so much power that not even Atheon, the leader of the pantheon could not stand to me, so I became the eight God in the group. All in all I was just an outsider with too much power to be opposed. Mercury: ¡°And what are those conditions, my dear friend?¡± I said with a hint of sarcasm, knowing that my buddy was pretty mischievous. Herald: ¡°Well...Nothing to major. Since we can''t take your memories, you will have to promise to do certain things. And you will reincarnate in a world of our choosing.¡± This book is hosted on another platform. Read the official version and support the author''s work. Saying that with and innocent looking face was all I needed to realize his true intentions¡.He too was bored! Atheon: ¡°Ok, we will agree to allowing your return to being a mortal. Herald, let''s hear your condition!¡± Herald started a really creepy laugh after hearing Atheon. It seems I may have some problems. Herald: ¡°Hehehe..! Don''t look at me like that. It won''t be that bad, besides, it will be interesting. Don''t you want that?¡± Mercury: ¡°Haah¡! Ok tell me the world you choose and your conditions. I expect you were thinking this over for some time, right?¡± knowing he will do something like this since I told him earlier that I would like to relive a mortal life. Well, like they say, you reap what you saw. Herald: ¡°Perfect! Aleria, do you still have that world? The one that was really messed up?¡± Aleria: ¡°Eh? What?¡± said a confused Goddess, that seemed to be the cutest creature in the world¡.well that is, if you don''t stay with her for more than a day. Even if she was more beautiful than any mortal woman I have ever seen, her twisted personality was a real downer. Well I suppose when you live as long as them, you tend to get one or two screws loose. Aleria: ¡°Ahhh! Yes! That is the perfect place for this bastard!¡± said the goddess while glaring at me! I honestly don''t know what I did to make her that angry. I''m sure that watching her bathe and peeking at her was not it, right? It''s not like I could resist...she is the goddess of beauty after all, even with a twisted personality she is still a first class beauty! Atheon: ¡°Well than, that decides the world! As for the conditions, lets see...How about this!¡± Atheon: ¡°You are to concur this world and improve the lifestyle of it''s people by 1 rank!¡± Mercury: ¡°Wait, wait! What world are you talking about? From what I know Aleria only has rank 7 and rank 8 worlds. Raising a rank in one of those worlds will take me thousands of years.¡± Herald: ¡°Don''t worry buddy! You may not know this because you are too young, but when we were bored *cough*...inspired, about 7 million years ago, gathered our powers together and created a world. It was supposed to be our masterpiece, but it didn''t go so well. Hahaha! Now that I think about it, letting a world grow for 5 million years was really crazy.¡± Aleria: ¡°The world is really masive and it is a rank 10 planet, however, since it was so massive and there were so many danger in it the best population could develop at was about a rank 3 civilization.¡± Mercury: ¡°Wait, what do you mean rank 10 planet and rank 3 civilization? Isn''t the rank supposed to be just for the civilization? And aren''t they supposed to stop at 9?¡± Atheon: ¡°I sometimes forget how young you are, with all that power. It''s true that we never say anything about a planet''s rank. Almost all planets with life on them are at rank 4 and below, witch have a similar civilization rank. There are a few at rank 5 planets, but all of those are rank 9 civilization, so we just categorize them by civilization. The only planet that is rank 10 is this one. The sentient beings on this planet have started calling it Gaia. I know, not original, but that doesn''t matter.¡± Atheon: ¡°Anyway, since there is such a large gap in the planet and civilization rank, the only way to reaise the civilization rank is by taming the planet, but with their technology, that''s impossible.¡± Herald: ¡°That''s were you come in. Since you will have all your memories you can show them how to survive in that environment. What do you say? And before you ask, no we will not give you any more information about this planet!¡± said the God , with and evil grin. I''m sure there is a lot more to this planet than they are telling me, but for now¡.It''s interesting! Mercury: ¡°Ok! I accept! So? How are we doing this?¡± <7 Gods>: ¡°Like this!¡± Chapter 1: The birth of a mortal Chapter 1: The birth of a mortal After a blinding light, I was suddenly in a very dark place. I tried to light it up using my power, but nothing happened. Mercury: <> Mercury:<> While I was struggling with the fact that I was powerless, something strange was happening to my surroundings. I figured I was in getting born right now, but it still felt really weird. ???: ¡°Push Silvia, push! The head is already put!¡± An old voice seemed to tell my mother to try harder, I was feeling quite bad for her, seeing that she was going through so much for me. I was pretty surprised that the language spoken was English, but still, I would probably have understood it anyway. The languages don''t differ that much between worlds. They mostly evolve the same way. My first world was actually one of the most uncommon ones, in terms of languages. It had the most spoken languages in the whole multiverse, and believe me, that is quite the accomplishment. The multiverse is so big that in over 1 million years I could only explore 15% of it. And I was the fastest thing, ever! ???: ¡°It''s a boy, a beautiful baby boy. My daughter you have really outdone yourself!¡± said the old lady, who I figure is my grandmother to the beautiful girl on the bed. My mother was truly beautiful, she had long golden heir and blue eyes. Even tho she was really tired after the birth, she did seem to have an amazing body. I guess my father was a lucky man. After looking around the room for a bit I noticed a really panicked man, he had black hair and the same blue eyes as my mother, he was actually quite handsome. He was coming closer, reaching out to me, when he suddenly stopped. His face got even white-er and asked my grandma. Then in a few seconds I was handed to my mother who looked exhausted. Father sat besides her bed really softly as to not disturb her, and she said. Silvia: ¡°What do you think of our little Klaus, Stephan? Isn''t he beautiful?¡± I guess my name is Klaus than. I really liked Mercury, but it would have been really strange if I got the same name as my God name. Stephan: ¡°He is my love, he is! I will make sure he will grow strong and will not have to deal will hardships in any way! I swear that I will be the best father possible!¡± Seems like my father is a pretty good man, and handsome. My mother is a beauty. I guess I can have pretty high hopes for my appearance. While I was thinking how I will look in the future, a golden light entered my sight. When I turned my head, I saw my grandma heal my mother with a healing spell. Seeing that, I felt pretty happy. I always wanted to try to be a mortal in a world with magic. I would have chosen such a world if I had the option anyway, so this world didn''t seem all that bad anymore. After a bit my mother put me in a really small cradle, in which I fell asleep in a matter of seconds. Mana core AN: Sorry about chapter 1''s lengths. I will try to release longer chapters. ----------Enjoy!--------- Chapter 2: Mana core The first weeks of my life were pretty uneventful. The first time I was fed was pretty interesting, but it quickly lost it''s glamor, as there was no way I could feel any sexual desire for my mother, and there was the fact that I was still a baby. At the beginning of my third week alive, my father was leaving for work. It seems he works as a guard for the lord of the city I was born in. Well I say city but it''s more like a big village. My mother doesn''t work, at least I haven''t seen her go to work in my very short life. Grandma on the other hand, was an adventurer. She was telling me all sorts of stories about her and grandpa, who is dead for some years. She was a light mage when she was younger, which seems like a pretty rare thing so she has a bit of money saved up. After a few months I had enough information about my family and surroundings to get a good understanding of my situation. All in all, my family consists of grandma, my father''s mother, my father and my mother. It doesn''t look like I have any older siblings, witch is kinda sad...I always wanted a big sister or brother. It would have been weird tho, me being so old and all. We were commoners in the eyes of the public. With my grandma''s money we could have lived a bit more comfortable, but my father seems like he refused her help, saying that he will only accept her money in case he does not have another option, or when she dies. It seems pretty foolish to me, but I guess that makes my father a man of principle. Another thing to mention, that happened in those few months was the fact that I started my training. Well, when I say training, I mean I stated feeling the mana around me, and in my body. And yeah, it seems like the people here call the energy which power their magic, mana. Well that it''s pretty common in most of the worlds with magic so it not that surprising. Anyway, after I started feeling the mana inside me, I was surprised. There was no trace of mana. This made me panic for a bit, thinking I had no way of using magic in this world. I calmed down pretty soon when I felt the mana in the air. After figuring that I can use the mana around me, I got an idea. It wasn''t the best idea, but it was interesting...and that''s why I was here anyway, to escape the boredom of eternity. The idea I got was to create my own mana core. It wasn''t that hard, a bit of programming, some knowledge of how the body of a magical being works and you could do it. The real challenge was to know how the core in this world worked. I didn''t want to become a mutant. That was solved by my grandma, or more accurate by her mana core. It took some time but I managed send some mana from the air into her core, than take it out. It was pretty hard contoling mana without a core, but not impossible, at least not when you know how mana works. After seeing her core, I was pretty excited. From what I gathered, the core was pretty simple. It was the type that over time, sucks the mana from your surrounding and grows in power. It seems like there is no limit to the growth, related to age, as my grandmothers core was still growing. Well, when I say growing, what I mean is slowly, really slowly getting bigger. It works like a lung. It breaths in the mana from outside and releases what it cannot devour. So from my experiment with grandmas core, I figured that her core was growing at about 1/100th of a millimeter per month more or less. I suppose there are meditation methods to increase the growth rate, but I highly doubt this civilizations managed to achive a high class meditation skill. From my deduction of how big my grandmother''s core was, her meditation method increased her growth rate at about 1/74th of a millimeter per month, which was pretty bad from my standards, but I was an almighty God before, so that may influence my thinking a bit. Stolen content alert: this content belongs on Royal Road. Report any occurrences. When I had all the information I needed, I started creating my core. It took me several months to get it right but eventually I finished. What I did, basically, is control the outer mana to gather it into my body where the core was suppose to be and compress it until it became a mist, than a liquid, and lastly a solid object, similar to a marble. Now that I had a brute core, that was about 1/10th of my grandmothers, I figured I should play with it a bit. Since the core in this world was so simple it meant that I was pretty free in modifying it, and not be branded a monstrosity. When all was done, I had a core that was a bit smaller than at first, about 1/12th of my grandmas. It was smaller, but it had some special proprieties, that if they were known I was sure to be branded a monster, luckily there was no way of figuring it out, I doubt even the 7 Gods could figure it without extensive study. It, like any other core in the world, sucked mana from outside, but instead of releasing it to the outside, it went into my body. My muscles, bones, skin, even my senses were slowly improving. I could make it improve me at a fast rate, but I figured that I had a long enough time, so I should just stay and relax for the time being. Another reason why I chose the slow method was because it was not painful. Increasing your muscles and bones strength is pretty painful, and I was not really keen on being in pain for at least 6 years of my life, when I could achieve the same result in 18 years and live comfortably. After finishing my mana core I was pretty happy, but that is when I also started to pay attention to the other people around me. It was then that I heard my mother crying. Silvia: ¡°¡.he doesn''t even laugh...*sob*...he just sits there and stares into nothingness...*sob*.... Alyssas children are already walking around and starting to talk...*sob*...but our baby barely crawls!¡± Stephan: ¡°I know, honey, I know. But maybe he just needs more time, he''s just 1 year old.¡± Silvia: ¡°1 YEAR AND 8 MONTHS!¡± Klaus:<> I tried standing up and walking towards them. My body really seems to have grown, my core''s improvements help too, so standing up and walking to them wasn''t a problem. As I was walking I said in a really clear, tho high pitched voice. Klaus: ¡°Mom, please don''t cry.¡± Both of my parents were staring at me with wide eyes and mouth hanging open. After a few seconds my mother was the first to react. She rushed to me and took me in her arms. Silvia: ¡°Sweetheart¡... when did you learn to speak?¡± My father snapped out of it when he heard my mother speak and asked. Stephan: ¡°Honey, was he walking just now? How come we never saw him walk?¡± Klaus: ¡°I knew how to speak for some time, just¡.I didn''t have anything to say.¡± Klaus: ¡°Is it bad that I just started walking and speaking?¡± Silvia & Stephan: ¡°No, of course not!¡± Silvia: ¡°We were just scared sweetheart, scared that you were not like other kids your age.¡± said my mother while hugging me and crying at the same time. Stephan: ¡°I''m gonna tell my mother. She is gonna be so happy!¡± Grandma: ¡°What are you gonna tell me?¡± apparently grandma just came home from shopping. Stephan: ¡°Klaus just spoke!¡± Klaus: <> Klaus: ¡°Hello granny!¡± Grandma: ¡°Wahhh! My boy is speaking!! We gotta have a party! Stephan go and grill some meat! We are gonna celebrate tonight!¡± It seems like my granny was as excited as my parents. Well I suppose not saying a word in 1 year and 8 months is pretty bad. Chapter 3: Growing Up After the celebration life went on as normal, I started speaking more and running around to house, I also started to meditate. The meditation method was something I have seen I a rank 9 civilization world. It was known as the most powerful method of raising one''s internal mana, or mana core. After a month of meditation, my mana core grew by 1.5 millimeters, which was and enormous growth rate in that world. I figured that, by the time I reach 3 years old I will be stronger than grandma. I was thinking maybe I should do some physical exercises but that would have been overkill. My body was getting constantly stronger at a balanced rate. Doing physical exercises would increase my muscle mass and stamina faster, but it would disturb the balance. Even without exercising when I reached 2 years old, I had the body of a 4 years old, witch was an impressive growth for a couple of months. At first I was wondering if I didn''t overdo it, with my core, but than I remembered what the goods wanted me to do in this world, so the faster I grow strong the better. At about 2 years old I got curious about my appearance. It may seem late, but there is not much to see from looking at a baby. After looking into the mirror I found out that I had the same black hair and blue eyes as my father, the difference was that my eyes were a shade deeper of blue that was almost glowing. The reason for that was probably the mana core in my body, which was strengthening every part of me. Overall, I was quite good looking, from what you can tell at 2 years old¡which is not much. After a few seconds of contemplating my appearance I heard someone crying in a really high pitched voice. From what o could tell, it was the voice of a toddler. When I reached the sound I found my mother trying to calm down a child. Silvia: ¡°It''s ok little Zack! Your mommy will come back soon.¡± Silvia: ¡°Why don''t you play with aunty until then!¡± Klaus: ¡°Mom?¡± Klaus: ¡°Who is that?¡± Silvia: ¡°Oh, hi sweetheart! Come and meet Zack.¡± Silvia: ¡°He is your aunt Alyssas child. Come and say hi.¡± Klaus: ¡°Hello! I''m Klaus. Why are you crying Zack?¡± After he heard me he seemed to have calmed down, than looked at me with a confused, but adorable expression, and said. Zack: ¡°Mommy is gone!¡± Zack: ¡°What''s a caus?¡± Klaus: ¡°It''s me, my name is Klaus. How old are you?¡± Zack: ¡°I am 2 years old!¡± He seemed really proud of his 2 years of life. Silvia: ¡°Klaus, why don''t you play with Zack here? You are 2 months older than him, so you have to be a good big brother to him, ok?¡± Klaus: ¡°Ok, mom! Come Zack, let''s play!¡± Zack: ¡°Yay!¡± Klaus: <> Klaus: ¡°Ok Zack, what do you want to play?¡± Zack: ¡°I wanna play knight!¡± Zack: ¡°I wanna be strong like daddy!¡± Klaus:<> Klaus: ¡°Than do you want to train with me?¡± Klaus: ¡°To become strong?¡± Zack: ¡°YES!¡± While he was jumping happily I used my mana to inspect his body and his core. It seems that, unlike me, he had a core...even if it was only half of mine. And that is after I was done meddling with it and before my training, so I suppose it was around 1/24th of my grandmothers. I really need to see what rank of power my grandma had if I keep using her core as a measure. Well even with a small core he should be able to train, now the only question is¡how do I train him? Klaus: ¡°Zack, I want you to listen and do exactly what I say. If you do that you will become strong. Ok?¡± Zack: ¡°Ok big brother Kaus.¡± Klaus: ¡°First you have to sit in the lotus position, like this.¡± After he figured how to sit I started telling him what to do. The training method I choose for him was a bit different from my own. While I didn''t have to improve my body with physical exercises, he needed them. So to train both his body and mana core I gave him a bit of a cheat. I just modified his core a little so that it would store all the excess mana inside, instead of releasing it outside. Of course, if that happened with all the mana outside, his little core will explode. To avoid that, the meditation, more like breathing method, will force all his mana to purify itself inside the core and expel all impurities. The cleaner the mana, the stronger the spells, and they will cost less too. The main reason he can have a core that does not realize if because this method can be used constantly, even while asleep. While this is an excellent way to get strong quickly and have tremendous mana capabilities I didn''t need it, because my core will use the impure mana to strengthen my body, so nothing is lost. The first few minutes he was quite bored of just sitting there, as expected of a 2 year old, but after I showed him a bit of magic, where I just made a some mana particle in the air light up, he was very diligent. I suppose he will be quite a hard worker in the future. Even better for my plan to mess *cough*...train him. As the years flew pass, both me and my little cousin were growing up quickly. At the age of 4 I started training his physical strength and fighting techniques. It wasn''t anything major, just the right way to kick or punch, the way the body worked, and where to hit to deal the most damage. Enjoying the story? Show your support by reading it on the official site. In the meantime, I learned from one of my grandmothers stories that there are mages and warriors in this world. It seems not every person has a mana core in their body, which explained my situation after being born. Having a mana core is hereditary and almost in all cases a mages father will also be a mage. There are exceptions so I don''t have to worry about being found out, but this also makes me fell like Zack is lucky, since his father is not a mage. There is also the possibility that my aunt cheated on her husband, but that is unlikely. Anyway, I found out that both mages and warriors are ranked the same. The ranks go from the lowest E to the highest S. My grandma was a rank C mage that I didn''t find all that impressive. The impressive one was my father. He was a rank A warrior. Even if he came from a commune family with no fighting stile he still managed to become pretty powerful. Aside from training I didn''t do much. In our neighborhood we and his sister were the only children, but she didn''t stay with us much, preferring our mothers company. One other thing to note is that I have to be more careful in dealing with people, especially my grandma. When I was 3, I saw a book in her room, in which I have never been in till then. Curious about what it was I started reading it. Grandma, when entering the room saw staring at the open book me and asked me if it was a good read. I nonchalantly answered her with a brief summary. Before I even realized what I had done I was hailed as a genius by my granny, and was given some more books to read. Of course, there was a party the whole week in the house celebrating the prodigy that learned to read on his own at the age of 3. It was all really tiresome. Just like that 5 years passed by. I am now 7 yeas old but I look like I am, at least 10. The effect of my core was amazing. I was 1m and 60cm tall, I wasn''t buff but I had an almost perfect body, with lean muscles perfect for agility and for strength, even if it didn''t show I could already lift around 50 kg. My little cousin had a pretty big development as well. He was 1m and 40cm tall, with good muscles and he was actually pretty handsome, with green eyes and golden hair. He was also very hard working, you could even call him a genius. I threw at him some insane physical exercises but he finished them every time. In the meantime his mana core became larger and larger and it was filled with pure mana. He was becoming quite strong. 2 months after Zack''s birthday, when we reached home we found my whole family plus his mother, sister and father waiting for us. Klaus: ¡°What''s up? Why is everyone here?¡± Stephan: ¡°We have something to discuss with you both.¡± Stephan: ¡°How would you like to go to school?¡± Klaus: ¡°School? Isn''t that expensive? Do we have money?¡± Grandma: ¡°Don''t worry about money love. Just tell us how do you feel about it.¡± Well I can figure what happened. It seems like grandma wants to sponsor us. But do I need school?¡Well I do need to learn more about this world so I guess that''s a way to go about it. Klaus: ¡°I want to go. To learn more about the world. How about you Zack?¡± Zack: ¡°Well, if Bro is going, I''m going.¡± Stephan: ¡°Hahaha! Perfect!¡± Stephan: ¡°We will start to prepare tomorrow. And the day after tomorrow we go to the guild.¡± Klaus: ¡°The guild? Why?¡± I knew that the guild was an organization created and founded by all the countries for the sole purpose of killing magical beasts. In short it was an army made of civilians. Stephan: ¡°Well because the school that we want to send you two to is kept by the guild.¡± Stephan: ¡°It''s an extremely expensive school for nobles.¡± Klaus: ¡°Wait do you have that kind of money?¡± Stephan: ¡°Hear me until the end. It''s true that the school is expensive but every year they have a scholarship handout.¡± Stephan: ¡°The scholarship will cover 95% of all school taxes, so we will have to pay just 5%.¡± Stephan: ¡°There are 2 conditions to become a scholarship student.¡± Stephan: ¡°First: One must reach either the warrior rank C, or be a level D mage before the age of 10. Since neither me nor your uncle is a mage there is little chance for the both of you to become one, but I believe you have the strength of a C rank warrior.¡± Klaus: ¡°How do you know that?¡± Stephan: ¡°Hahaha!I am an A rank warrior. Do you think you can escape me? One of the reasons we are even thinking of sending you is because of your progress.¡± Klaus: ¡°Haah...And I thought we were concealed...¡± Klaus: ¡°I also think we are above level D mage. Both of us.¡± While I said that everyone, even Zack got flabbergasted. My father was looking at me and, after a moment of shock started laughing. Stephan: ¡°Hahaha! My son that is some humor you have there. You took us all by surprise! Anyway. The second condition is to be able to read and write.¡± Silvia: ¡°We already know that you know how to son, but what about little Zack?¡± Zack: ¡°It''s ok, Bro taught me how.¡± Silvia: ¡°Ohh! That''s and admirable brother you have there.¡± While my mother and her sister were giggling, I went to my room. It seems they didn''t believe me when I said I was a mage. I wander what face they are gonna make when they see. While thinking that I fell asleep thinking what school life it''s gonna be like. Chapter 4: The Prodigy A/n: Soo..yeah..sorry for not uploading. I will try to write more and upload more often. Again sorry! ---------------------------------------------------- Chapter 4: The Prodigy The road towards the guild was bad. That is the only way to describe it. Aside from the fact that is was utterly boring we were riding in a fu**ing carriage. Do those people not even have the concept of suspension? What I saw on the way was equally bad. The state of the world is much worse than I thought. I never visited a middle age type of world, because, let¡¯s face it, what could I learn from a bunch of people who don¡¯t even know about soap? Anyway, since I didn¡¯t have a look at this type of ¡°age¡± I had to do with second hand knowledge¡which does not include the details. The streets were made of some type of rock, I guess magic was involved to make a whole road out of it, but that was about the most civilized thing I have seen. I don¡¯t know if that was a special part of the city or not, but crime was flourishing with pickpockets and thieves everywhere. The merchants were haggling for more profit than it would ever be allowed in a real society. The worst part tho, were the homeless children that were loitering the streets. It was heartbreaking seeing a 6-7 year old child look at you with dead eyes that gave up on life. I saw my father was also looking like he wanted to do something about that but there was no way he could save every kid in the world. I gotta¡¯ admit, I was pretty pissed seeing at the work I had to put in raising this planet¡¯s rank. It¡¯s not hard to go and ¡°invent¡± a couple of world breaking technologies and magic¡but that would not solve the world¡even if the rank raises. I was now determined to save this world. It did occur to me that our neighborhood was pretty clean, and there were no stray kids from what I could see. The answer to that question came from my grandmother. Using her influence as an adventurer, she opened an orphanage. That made me proud to be part of this family for the first time. In front of the guild headquarters there was a throng of children and their parents. ???: ¡°Hello everyone! My name is Frisk Roland. I am a teacher at Guild Academy and I will be responsible for todays¡¯ test. I would like to ask you to submit your name and age into this box in the next 2 hours. After that we will begin the testing.¡± The teachers¡¯ voice boomed into the crowd reaching even us at the back as clear as if we were next to him. While I do get the need to use a bit of magic to impress people, why did he use raw mana to amplify his voice? If he used the wind to carry it to everyone it would have saved him a lot of mana and he wouldn¡¯t have to scream. Mabey to show the academies superiority... Whatever let¡¯s just get this over with. Frisk: ¡°We will now begin the testing!¡± Frisk: ¡°The test has 3 parts. The first part will test your knowledge of the letters. Second part will test your skills as either a mage or a warrior, remember that you need to be at least a C rank warrior or a D rank mage. Those 2 parts are actually the test to enter the academy. The last test is to see if you were born with an affinity to a special element like light or darkness or not.¡± What. The. Fuck? Born with affinity? Are those people real idiots? Affinity is something you learn over the course of your life, how can one be born with it? OH! The life they had before! I suppose if they focused on one element in some of their reincarnations it would result to some of the insights passing on to the next life. I guess this is why he used raw mana instead of wind¡ he didn¡¯t have wind affinity so he didn¡¯t train it. Those people are simpletons! Hmm¡I¡¯m kind of proud of myself right now for figuring this out! Silvia: ¡°And what are you smiling at? Are you exited to get a nice affinity?¡± Klaus: ¡°Wha-?! N-no, I was just¡Fuc-Yes mother, actually it was exactly that¡± My mom gave me an odd look but I had no time for that. I had maximum affinity in all the elements! Even the other 7 said that I may understand some better than them¡how the fuck do I explain that? While I was brooding on my impending rise to fame, the teacher called for Zack. This made me snap back to reality. Since we were family we were allowed to enter with him for the tests. The letters test went as expected, he did have a great teacher! Frisk: ¡°Well than Zack. Let us test your rank as a warrior. Or do you want to test as a mage?¡± It seems like the teacher also thought there was no way some commoner will be a mage. Zack: ¡°Can¡¯t I just test both?¡± Frisk: ¡°Hahaha! I suppose there is no harm, most people want to hope for some talent in magic.¡± Frisk: ¡°Come here. This steel ball has been enchanted to show your rank as a warrior. Simply use all your strength to grip the ball. It will than show your rank on this plate.¡± The enchants were decent, even if they were not hidden into the material¡¯s essence. It¡¯s not that hard to believe actually. I¡¯m surprised they could even pull and external enchant with the level this society is at...Inborn affinity...HA! Zack: ¡°Won¡¯t it break if I use to much power?¡± Unauthorized use: this story is on Amazon without permission from the author. Report any sightings. Frisk: ¡°Haha! Don¡¯t worry. Aside from an S rank there is no one capable to even dent those balls! Now hurry up.¡± Zack seemed a bit uncertain but gave his best anyway. After the results were shown everyone was stunned, aside from me of course. The runt used everything he had, he even enchanted his muscles with mana the way I taught him. Frisk: ¡°Y-y-you have A r-r-rank!¡± Frisk seems kind of rattled, hahaha. Alyssas: ¡°Honey did you hear that? Our son is a genius!¡± Frisk: ¡°Well, you truly are something. To reach A rank at this age¡astonishing! I myself have reached A rank just a couple of years ago at the age of 57. Which was considered moderately fast.¡± Frisk: ¡°While it¡¯s true that mages take longer to raise in rank than warriors, it¡¯s still a very impressive achievement.¡± Frisk: ¡°I think the youngest A rank warrior was at the age of 14 when he reached that stage, and he was hailed as one of the greatest geniuses of our country and your boy here just overtook him. And by the large margin of 7 years. It¡¯s astonishing! He may be the greatest genius of our country!¡± Zack: ¡°Hey! Can I have the mage test now? Big bro said we are mages so I want to see!¡± Frisk: ¡°What?¡± Frisk: ¡°Kid, if you are also a mage I will personally ask our principal to bring you to the main academy.¡± Stephan: ¡°What? The main academy? Don¡¯t you have to be at least S rank to enter? And I have never heard of a child going there.¡± Frisk: ¡°While it¡¯s true that the standard way to get into the main academy is to be S rank, there are special occasions where that can be overlooked.¡± Frisk: ¡°And to answer your second question, it¡¯s a shame but our kingdom never had a child with enough potential to get into the main academy. The other countries tho¡let¡¯s just say they have more resurces. The Hertos Empire has send every year at least 5 children to join the academy. Those were all rank S! All below the age of 12.¡± Stephan: ¡°Whoa! That¡¯s amazing! And here I was proud of being an A rank at my age.Hahahah¡¡± Hmm. Seems like this academy will be fun. I can¡¯t wait. Hahaha. Frisk: ¡°Ok little Zack, put your had on this orb and it will try to draw out mana from your body, if you have it.¡± Frisk: ¡°the result will be displayed the same way as the warrior test.¡± Well this is going to be fun. Show them your stuff runt! Frisk: ¡°¡¡± Stephan: ¡°¡¡± Zack: ¡°Yay! Bro, you were right! I¡¯m a B ranked mage!¡± Klaus: ¡°Of course you are, what were you doubting me?¡± Klaus: ¡°And you are probably A rank as a mage as well but you used to much mana on that ball so your rank dropped a bit.¡± Zack: ¡°What? Really? Hahah! I guess I¡¯m as strong as teacher than!¡± Frisk: ¡°What?¡± Frisk: ¡°No! There is no way you can be a B ranked mage also, alongside an A ranked warrior. That¡¯s too much!¡± Whoa¡it seems like he broke¡ Klaus: ¡°Old man, he¡¯s not a B rank. He¡¯s A rank. He just used to much mana of the strengthening spell to squeeze the ball.¡± Frisk: ¡°What? What are you talking about? There is no way a child will know a secret spell like that.¡± Klaus: ¡°Secret? What are you talking about? That is just a basic mana enhancement on your muscles.¡± Frisk: ¡°Kid, did you really use a this strengthening spell on your hands?¡± Zack: ¡°The what?¡± Zack: ¡°You mean if I made my body stronger?¡± Frisk: ¡°Sure¡¡± Zack: ¡°Yeah, I guess¡But I did my whole body not just my arm.¡± Zack: ¡°Was that bad? Do I need to take the test again?¡± Frisk: ¡°No, no¡just¡can you do it again so I can see? I will try to feel your mana.¡± Zack: ¡°I guess¡Done!¡± Frisk: ¡°Whoa!¡± Frisk: ¡°That¡¯s it¡This kid is a monster¡¡± Stephan: ¡°Does that mean that he will go to the main academy?¡± Frisk: ¡°Of course! With talent like his reaching S rank is a given. The Guild will want to sponsor him without even having me speak with the principal.¡± Frisk: ¡°¡A rank in both mage and warrior¡.astounding!¡± Frisk kept muttering about something but Zack seemed a little odd. Klaus: ¡°Zack, what¡¯s wrong? Don¡¯t you want to go to the main academy? Zack: ¡°It¡¯s not that¡it¡¯s just¡Will bro come too?¡± This snapped Frisk out of it and he put on a professional smile. Frisk: ¡°I¡¯m sorry little Zack but if your brother is not as talented as you it¡¯s impossible to get him permission to join.¡± Frisk: ¡°Anyway, let¡¯s check your affinities now, shall we?¡± Zack: ¡°Ok, but can you test Bro after?¡± Frisk: ¡°Hmm¡there are still a lot of people who need testing, but I suppose it won¡¯t hurt, he should het tested anyway, right?¡± Stephan: ¡°Yeah¡¡± Frisk: ¡°Ok so to test you affinity you will have to put your finger in this tablet. It should read what your soul works best with.¡± Zack: ¡°Ok!¡± Frisk: ¡°Hmm, interesting! You have both fire and air. While those are commune affinities, together they make a good combination. Kid, it seems you were born for greatness!¡± Chapter 5: The World Chapter 5: The World Frisk: ¡°Than, let¡¯s test your bro now!¡± Frisk: ¡°Can you tell me you name and age please?¡± Klaus: ¡°Klaus Asteon, age 7!¡± Frisk: ¡°7 aren¡¯t you kinda big to be 7?¡± Stephan started to grin and said Stephan: ¡°He¡¯s my son alright, he¡¯s gonna be a great warrior!¡± Frisk: ¡°Anyway, you know what to do. Let us see your warrior rank.¡± Klaus: ¡°Ok!¡± I took the enchanted sphere and tested a bit to see how much power I should use on it. I immediately figured I could just crush it if I used my full strength even without mana enhancement, so I did just that. The next moment was priceless. My family was staring at me with a look of surprise and awe. The also forgot to close their mouths. The most extreme reaction I got was from Frisk. He just passed out on the spot. It was hilarious! After Frisk finally woke up¡ Frisk: ¡°W-well¡I guess both of you brothers are monsters. One is A rank in both a warrior and mage, the other an S ranked warrior.¡± Frisk: ¡°Do you wish to test out your affinities? As a warrior you don¡¯t really need to, since martial arts don¡¯t depend on your affinity.¡± That made me grin. Did he think that if I was a S rank warrior I would not be a mage? I think he¡¯s gonna pass out again. Hahaha! Klaus: ¡°Hey, I still have the mage test, don¡¯t I?¡± Frisk: ¡°Woah? Don¡¯t tell me you are also a mage??¡± Klaus: ¡°We¡¯ll just have to wait and see!¡± Frisk: ¡°Haaah¡Just go ahead and do it¡¡± Klaus: ¡°Oookaaayyy!¡± Yep, like I thought, he passed out. It seems like I was also S rank as a mage. This core is pretty good. I didn¡¯t even train all that much. While waiting for Frisk to wake up I got to thinking. Why is it that the S rank is so easy to reach? I mean, shouldn¡¯t that be the last rank of power? I have certainty haven¡¯t reached the peak of power, I¡¯m not even fully grown yet, and from what I gather there are more children with similar powers to mine. Let¡¯s wake the sleeping beauty and get some answers. Klaus: ¡°Heey! Teach, wake up! I have some questions for you.¡± Frisk: ¡°W-what? What happened?¡± Frisk: ¡°Kid, take the test. Why are you looking at me like that?¡± Whoa! He seems broken¡I¡¯m kinda sorry for him. This is fun tho. Hahaha! Klaus: ¡°I already did that, teach. Look, I¡¯m also S rank as a mage.¡± Frisk: ¡°WHAT?¡± Frisk: ¡°¡How? How is this possible?...Being an warrior and a mage are totally different things¡how could you be S rank in both powers¡it doesn¡¯t make any sense¡this has never happened before¡¡± Yep! He¡¯s definitely broken. Klaus: ¡°Heey! Teach! I want to ask you something!¡± Frisk: ¡°Y-Yes, go ahead!¡± Klaus: ¡°So, why is it so easy reaching S rank? Isn¡¯t it supposed to be the last tier of power?¡± Frisk: ¡°¡easy¡even I¡¯m not S rank¡.and I¡¯ve been training for almost 60 years¡¡± Klaus: ¡°¡¡± Frisk: ¡°Y-Yeah, the S rank is the last rank of power indeed, but that is only viable in our country. You do know that our country is fairly young spanning just a bit over 200 years. The current king, who is also the founder is a S rank mage, he is also the most powerful person in the country, well was. I guess both of you are at his level is not higher.¡± Klaus: ¡°Actually, I don¡¯t really know much about this country. And how can he be 200 year old? Isn¡¯t he just a human?¡± Actually I know that mana can keep you fairly youthful even in your late years, but it does not expand your life all that much, at most 20-30 years. To extend your life by a significant margin you need to practice some special meditation and breathing techniques. There is also the possibility of having your body merged with mana in your early years. By doing that your body will only grow until maturity and stop aging altogether. ¡.. Wait a minute! Didn¡¯t I just-? ARRRGGGHHH! Why must I be so stupid! I just left behind an immortal body to enjoy the cycle of life and death¡ That¡¯s it! I¡¯ll destroy my core! Luckily I am not mature yet¡urgh¡why did that kid have to come to mind, damn homeless kid! I guess I¡¯ll just stick with what I have. It¡¯s not like I can¡¯t die after I finish my purpose here. Yep! I¡¯ll do that. Just save this fuc**ng planet and die. Perfect! Frisk: ¡°I guess you wouldn¡¯t know. I forgot you¡¯re just a kid. And from commune birth as well. To answer you question about the age of our king it¡¯s simple, he is the former son of the crown prince to the Hertos Empire. For nobles and royalties stopping aging and living till even a thousand years is not impossible. It¡¯s said that the current emperor of the Empire is immortal. He hasn¡¯t aged a bit from the day he founded his empire 890 years ago. I believe that is also why out king made his own country. Otherwise he would always be under his father and grandfather and never get the throne.¡± Zack: ¡°So does that mean our king is also immortal? Like his grandfather? Can I also be one?¡± Hah! So the little critter wants to be immortal, you have no idea what¡¯s coming to you runt! Still I¡¯m impressed he could follow so well with the conversation. He was also a natural born mage. He may actually be a genius¡still a critter tho. Frisk: ¡°Well normally I would say it¡¯s impossible to get the necessary training to stop your aging¡but with you sibling, I¡¯m sure you will become one!¡± Zack: ¡°YAY!¡± Klaus: ¡°Why do you say that? Aren¡¯t there like a lot of S ranked kids at this main academy? Wouldn¡¯t the world be filed with immortals at this rate?¡± This novel is published on a different platform. Support the original author by finding the official source. Frisk: ¡°Ha..haha¡What do you know¡As if it would be so simple. I only say this about you because you two are really special cases. The people who attend the main academy are nobles and royalty. There has never been a commoners child admitted. Since all of them are of noble birth and from powerful families, they already have the training to expand their years, just the methods are so hard to grasp that one needs to train for a long time to achieve even a couple of years more. If your training speed is worse than the extended period of time you gain¡well you see the point. I, for one trained for 20 years one of those methods and managed to extend my life by almost the same amount.¡± Why is he so smug by something so small? I don¡¯t get this. And how can he know how much life he gained? Klaus: ¡°How do you know how many years you gained?¡± Frisk: ¡°Well, you see, the guild has invented a way for measuring how much your body is going to last. It was invented by our guild master and also the most powerful enchanter in the world!¡± Frisk: ¡°He is also the headmaster of the main academy. Also, the testing equipment was also invented by him. He is really talented.¡± Frisk: ¡°Now, we got sidetracked. I was telling you about the countries. The continent we are living in is also named the Main Land. It is the place where humans managed to make a stronghold against the magical being on the other continent.¡± Frisk: ¡°The Main Land in made of 3 empires and 7 kingdoms. The empires are as follows. The Hertos Empire, the larges one spanning from the northern ocean all over the eastern coast the continent till the Southern sea. The Ronan Empire was founded around 500 years ago and covers the central and north-western part of the continent. The whole of the southern part of the content makes up the ¨¦clair Empire. This Empire is a mystery. It¡¯s said to have been founded around 700 years ago, but empress ¨¦clair is said to be over 1000 years world. The other kingdoms are bordering their protector empires and our kingdom is the only one who borders both ¨¦clair and Ronan empires without being aligned with either of them. Our kingdom of Tales is on the eastern bother of the Magical continent so it has remained independent, even if people say we are affiliated with the Hertos Empire.¡± Frisk: ¡°Being the border kingdom, the other powers will not attack us fearing an attack from the magical races, while it is not known why the magical races have not attacked us yet. In the whole lifespan of the kingdom we have never been attacked. That is also the reason our people are weaker than the other kingdoms and empires population. This is the price we pay for peace.¡± This guy really went full on teacher on me. While I do admit he is knowledgeable and I did learn some important stuff about this world, he still didn¡¯t answer my first question. Klaus: ¡°So¡why is S rank the last in the rankings?¡± Frisk: ¡°Ah, yes! The rankings are much more than just this. Since our country does not have anyone stronger than S rank we usually tell people that S is the limit, but that is actually the beginning.¡± Frisk: ¡°The guild has made the rankings this way: There are six levels of power from which are separated in six ranks of power, the E to S rank you already know of. The first level is the innate level. That is the level you and your brother are at, I¡¯m also at this level. After you reach S rank in the innate you will be able to advance to the novice level.¡± Frisk: ¡°It all goes like this: Innate level
