《First Step on a Long Road》


 Chapter 1: The Begining

    >  As this is my first time posting a fiction on this site don''t hold back!

    I sit here in my chair writing in this journal so I don''t forget, the time spent with my friends and the adventures we had together, ah the fun, the fights, the I''m going to die feeling.


    It all started when I decided to run away from home, don''t get me wrong I loved my family, but I wanted something more than the suffocating feeling of that house, and I just hated how everyone was sucking up too me just to get a little more influence.


    So stupid, so I ran away, not the smartest thing for me to do, I mean I was only fourteen.


    After walking around town for a time I found myself lost, I wasn''t a sheltered child I''ve traveled around ... with my family ... on main streets ... it''s just I wanted to avoid people, me being who I am I dislike being stared at by people, so I found the back streets and wound up completely lost.


    Then the event that would change my life happened.


    While walking around lost in a back alley I found myself surrounded by a group of dirty, smelly, and underfeed people, or thieves, your choice as to what to call them.


    Thief 1  " Well, well, well, what do we have here?"


    Thief 2  " Hey boss looks like we have a lost lamb here"


    Thief 3  " Not just lost but rich too, just look at them cloths, not a speck of dirt on em"


    Me  " If it''s money you want here, its not much but its all I have"


    I threw my coin pouch too the ground in front of me and started to leave,


    " Hey where do you think your going?" the first one said while grabbing my arm


    Thief 2  " That''s right, that''s right why don''t you stay and play with us for awhile"


    " I gave you my money so let me go already" I said while raising my voice

    Thief 2  " Now why would we do that?


    Thief 3  " So true I wonder what else you have hiding under those cloths of yours?"


    Thief 1  " Hey boys lets find out"


    *oh crap* I thought as they started to close in on me, if it was 1 on 1 then I might have a chance but 3 on 1 ... I''m not so sure.


    " Stay away or I''ll call the guards"  I said my voice slightly cracking trying to get out of the thieves grip


    They look at each other in surprise before they burst out laughing


    Thief 1  " pft ahahaha  oh boy you don''t know where you are do you?"


    Thief 3  " hahahaha there''s no one here but us you know, so scream no one will hear you"


    I''m screwed, I know it, I didn''t want my first time out of my house to end up like this, I should have just stayed on the main road, I shut my eyes and prepared myself to be hit but ...


    ???  " Shit I''m lost ... *sigh* hey do you guys know how to get to the main road?  I seem to be lost"


    An unknown voice fills the air, stopping the thieves in their tracks, I opened my eyes in surprise and that was my first meeting with him, he was about 6'' 5"  dressed in black from head to toe,  with a sword strapped to his back.


    " piss off were busy right now."  one of the thieves yelled at the man


    " I can see that and I don''t really care, so if you can point me to main road I''ll let you get back too it."  he replied


    They were shocked, I was as well but really, who wouldn''t be?


    Thief 3  " The main road is behind you, just keep walking that way and you cant miss it"


    ???   " Thanks"  and then he just left ...


    Again everyone was shocked, luckily I recovered fast and escaped the thieves grip and chased after the black clad jerk. That was the start of everything.
