That day started like any other day. I was a 20 years old college student. I was 178 cm tall with brown eyes, dark hair and normal face. I can''t say i was a weak student but i couldn''t call myself a genius even if others did. I was a normal college student studying programing and history. Even if i wasn''t a complete genius at those 2 (history and programing) i was the first in the class and praised by teachers, but for me that knowledge seemed insufficient and i always thought that i wasn''t good enough at them. I wanted to become a game programmer (the reason for which i was studying programing so hard) and I loved history, even if i knew that it was useless in the everyday life but i just loved history. To read about all those great battles and deeds that was done by normal people and not by heroes, monsters or any type of supernatural. I didn''t hate LN or web novels or any type of fictions, i actually like them a lot but nothing can be compared to real history. On that day after 2 horrible (unannounced) tests and 7 hours of hell, i finally left the school and i was heading back home. On the way back I saw my only friend, Anastasia been raped by a gang of thugs. There were 3 of them. Blood immediately rushed to my head and I started to charge at them *How dare you b*****s!!!!*(MC). In the next moment i grabbed the closest one to me and slammed his head to the wall. He must''ve lost consciousness as my blow wasn''t strong enough to crack the skull but i didn''t care. The same happened to the second one but this time i slammed his head on the concrete. But as i was rushing to the last one he noticed me then pulled a gun and shot me in the head just before i reach him. Unfortunately i didn''t die instantly, but i couldn''t move .I fell on the ground with my eyes facing Anastasia which was killed and they were raping her corpse .The last guy was smiling as if he was a kid that found a new toy *Disgusting*-- I told to myself right before i closed my eyes and i felt a warm embrace like I have never felt before. *Is this death* --i told to myself with the last shreds of my consciousness fading away. She has red eyes, with beautiful dark hair and a white skin, a bit brighter than the colour of the skin i had in my old life and seemed extremely tired. I think she is around 170 cm tall. She is holding another baby and it is a girl while i am a boy~~twins ha?~~~. The second one is a big guy he is around 2m tall has ...horns... a brown hair with dark eyes and anyone who saw him would say that he is scary but for me he didn''t seem scary at all. The face he showed us was a kind and smiling face that was contrasting with his bulky body. The last person was my sister. She had the same skin as me and my mother but the horns of my father. Apparently I look exactly like my twin sister dark hair white skin but unlike her who had both eyes red i had a red eye and a black eye which was very uncommon .I could already speak this new language (the demon language) and walk on 2 legs even if it required a lot of effort unlike my sister who could hardly say 1 or 2 words and was still walking on 4 legs. I found out that my new name is Arius and my twin sister name is Sabrina. My parent names were Sabrath (father) and Aria (mother). They were part of the demon nobility, a rank which they acquired not inherited, but through their own efforts and strength. One day, after i turned 2 years old, i suddenly began to ask a lot of questions about magic and about our own race. I knew magic existed in this world because my mother used healing magic to heal a small scratch that i obtained when i first attempted to walk. * Mother what was that weird power you used to heal me when i hurt myself a while back?*(Arius)- I asked her trying to sound as innocent as i could. * Dear Arius, that power was called magic and we demons and many other races can freely use it in all sorts of ways but it''s too early for you to worry about this now. You and your sister will be training to use magic from the age of five and you''ll go to the school from the age of 12 * (Aria) *Why should we start training from the age of 5 and not earlier?*(Arius)~ I asked her a bit curious about her statement. *If you try to train in magic when you are too young you''ll stress your mana core and you might not be able to use magic again ever or even die. Your mana core stabilizes usually when you are 7 years old but for both me and your father''s race our mana cores stabilize at 5 years old* (Aria) * Ok mother until then could you teach me how to read?* (Arius) Even if I know how to speak the demon language because i''m only 2 years old, I still don''t know how to read and because I need to know more about this world the only places i can find that knowledge are books and for that I need to read.. * Hmm i thought that it might be too early for you to learn how to read because i started reading at 6 years old but the younger you are the better.We''ll start the lessons tomorrow* (Aria) * But how about Sabrina?* (Arius) *Hmm we''ll wait first for her to be able to speak atleast and then we''ll see. Even if my sister was a faster learner than i was at drawing and magic theory i was on par with mother at math and other sciences like Alchemy and soon learned most of the history of this world. Our father was the lord of the region so he had to go and fight on the front all the time as we were a border region and were at war with the humans-elves-beastman alliance but we weren''t scared as the fights were pretty far from us and father was keeping them at bay. By the age of 5 i had already started together with Sabrina our magic training. In one of the days of training our mother decided to tell us about the magic proficiency ranks. ** Sabrina ,Arius do you know the 9 levels of the magic power?* (Aria) * lv1 Elemental, lv 2 elemental-intermediate, lv 3 intermediate, lv 4 intermediate-advanced, lv 5 advanced, lv 6 sage, lv 7 great sage ,lv 8 ruler, lv 9 GOD* We both said at once. * Yes but did you know that there is a proficiency level for using magic?* (Aria) * No mom what are those levels?* (Arius) I asked her because i really wanted to know anything that could help me. * The level of proficiency is the way you use magic and currently there are 3 ways: the most elemental is with the help of a magic chant and circle which most of us can manage the second 1 is only with the help of a chant and many get stuck here and the last 1 which is the hardest is with only thought or just the need of a single word to cast any magic you desire.* (Aria) * Cool and what level are you mom* (Sabrina) * I''m currently a Great sage and while i can''t cast great sage magic without the help of chants i can cast lower tier magic chantless without any problem* ( Aria) * So cool* ( Sabrina +Arius) *And what level is father?* I really wanted to know because mom is so cool and i thought dad would be the same* *Hmm your father is currently at sage level chantless which is also a great feat as most demons are stuck at Advanced magic some even reaching ruler *(Aria) * Ruler class?? so cool* (Arius) Hmm both of my parents are cool but how long will it take for me to reach their level?.. She can already use chantless advanced magic and none would be mistaken if it were to call her a prodigy. She is smart, brave and an avid learned but despite all that she is nothing like her brother, a monster, he has the same black hair and white skin like me but has a black eye like his father and the other one is red like my eye but that''s not the reason he is a monster ( not a real one off course). He at the tender age of 6 it''s already on par with his father when it comes to magic a Sage rank capable of using magic with only chants and despite calling my daughter an avid learner she is a small child compared to him. He has already finished the entire library we have at home and started going to the city library to satisfy his thirst for knowledge which is higher than the thirst of blood of a starved lower tier vampire. His name is Arius a being that can be called a genius by some and a monster by others. Even so i love both of them equally. My husband Sabrath (of the Rao clan) it''s still on the front lines fighting the greedy humans that despise us based on our looks and call us barbaric monsters that taint the image of the earth. Nonsense if you ask me they are the real barbarians¡¯ who is attacking everything out of greed and using religion as an excuse. A few months ago i''ve sent him a letter regarding the progress of the 2 kids, and today on their birthday I received the response wich i decided to read it in front of the kids. * ~Dear Aria I''m glad to hear that the kids are fine and growing healthy and strong. Even if i''m having troubles to believe Arius and Sabrina''s impossible growth I''m forced to believe it as I know you wouldn''t lie to me regarding our kids. Anyway the war is not going very well. The humans constantly attack us and i''ve heard that they summoned some heroes from another world to try and fight us. The spies say that even if they are very young and with no battle experience they are strong and in a few years they''ll be on the battlefront. Humans call them heroes but the moment they were summoned they were transformed into slaves and put to train to fight us against their will. Anyway i won''t bore you with other details of the war as i am sure you read this to the kids I''ll write a small dedication to the little brats ~ hehehe~. Dear Arius your growth is great but I''d like it to be on par with your body training. I believe that soon I''ll see you fighting with me slaughtering elves, eating humans, and fighting par on par with me hahaha. ~ Dear Sabrina don''t be discouraged by your brother Arius growth. I''m starting to see him myself as a monster or a genius or even both and that''s only from what I hear. I''m sure you''ll end a up a great woman that will make every man go for you ( Side note from me for Arius kick the ass of everyone that tries to make a move on your sister while I''m not there) like your mother and will make everyone jealous on your talent and hard work. While i know you will be 6 by the time this letter reaches you I want both of you to go to school starting 7 years old because i think you''ll be more than capable of doing it and even beat the crap out of some teachers. Chapter 2.5 It was an ordinary afternoon for the poor class 11 C from the high school ***** *********. At around noon, all of them (30kids) were summoned. Unknown to the humans, demon spies and shadows were witnessing the summoning. When the demons saw the heroes been summoned and their arrival, they wanted to kill the heroes even with the cost of their lives but what happened next made their jaw drop. The new summoned heroes without even been given an explanation were attacked and knocked unconscious. Some of the students tried to resist impressing the demons that were watching but they were no match for the knights which could use magic and were veterans of many battles *Why are you doing this?*(Students) asked some of the students before they were knocked out. The demons unknowing what to do, decided to continues watching the poor souls who is being marked with slave seals, that could punish the slave with death if slave wasn''t obedient. The demons clenched their fists as they saw that scene. Some kids were summoned against their will just to be made into slaves. The hearth of the demon spies couldn''t let them kill those poor souls so they decided to wait and see what it really happens. It''s needless to speak that in the meantime they realized they wouldn''t be able to kill the heroes anyway as the number of knights present at the scene was more than a hundred in that large hall. *Sir we need to report this to the main forces or kill the heroes ourselves before they become a threat* (Demon Spy1) *I know but we wouldn''t be able to kill them just the 5 of us as they are guarded by more that 100 slave drivers. I can''t call those shits warriors anymore. So we need to gather all the information¡¯s we can before going back to the main force* (Demon Spy chief) *Understood sir* (demon spies) The next all of the heroes were waked up and noticed a man dressed in a black costume (the king) and one that looked like the pope dressed in white. All the species that rally under the human race are called the faerie races: elves, gnomes, azraels, several beatmen races and the ones the that decided to rebel our rule and rallied under the vampire kind our natural sworn enemy are called the demon races: centaurs, Krako tribe, Sucubus, Alzh"air, dragons and many others. From our points of view you have a great power that we need to exploit in order to make the demon tribes to obey our rule. But because that power can be used and will be used against us so we have decided to use slave marks to ensure your loyalty. And to make sure you will fight the demons for us. It wasn''t a nice sight for someone weak of hearth. Later the heroes were presented to an elf scholar which started telling them about this new world and about the... stats system. *In this world we have a stats system which will allow you to see how strong you are and other titles which you acquired. I''m sure all of you have seen it from the moment you were summoned in this world. Unfortunately only heroes or a person chosen by heroes, or who killed the hero in a 1 vs 1 battle when both of them are in their best shape can use it. The skills that come with it can be used by every race semi-subconsciously but only the heroes or chosen ones can use it. From what i heard you call this an RPG system but i''ll tell you this isn''t a game and if you''re wondering how we know so much about you it''s because we have read your minds and you''re the second charge of heroes as the first one was killed due to insubordination so don''t make any harsh action* (Elven scholar) A feeling of pity and regret could be heard from his last words. ( no levels just stats srry guys niahahahaha) *Very good. Those stats will grow according to your training and based on what creatures you defeat. And now I want the rest of you to do the same* After a few minutes in which each of them have seen their stats and are ready to hear the rest of the explications. *Now that you are familiar with the stats system let me tell you the story of this world. A few millennia ago there were 5 great races. The Celestials, The Angels, The humans, The Dragon race, and the Ancient demon race. After disputes between celestials and angels over their right to divinity the world was split in 2 and only the dragons stayed neutral. At the end of the war, from the 4 races that participated only 2 of them remained the humans and the demons and new species were born but the celestials and angel race were dead but because of the war there were many mixed family among celestials and ancient demons and between humans and Angels. The mix of Ancient demons and celestials were vampires and the mix of angels and humans were elves. After the establishment of these new races many races started to appear in the world. The beastman, dwarves, hobbits, pixies, elementals, and other lesser races. For a while except for small scale wars, the world was peaceful but extremely divided until the arrival of King Sauros which united the humans and started the demon and faerie system and a war which lasts until today. Now the war is at a stalemate and both sides are currently waiting for the other to make a rash move. Each of the participants in the war has its own story of a savior that will come. While we humans and the faeries have the legend of heroes who will come and help the people, the demon races have the legend of the Extermination Prince and the Princess of Carnage who will help the demon race when the time will come and will feast on the blood of their enemies. Thanks to that prophecy the humans and the faeries have begun to fear and hate the vampires even more out of fear of this prophecy as they are the only ones that feast on the blood of their enemies. Chapter 2.9: Explications:End of arc This chapter is the end of this arc. I''ll also explain the 3 systems that work in this world. Magic power system, Battle rating, Magic proeficiency. So far I''ve only present you the Magic proeficiency system but i didn''t quite explain it very well. ~~~Magic Power system (with stats help ofc) -Lv 1 Elementar: Has the ability to pour mana in to objects and summon light mana 0-100,0 atack power Lv 2 Elementar-Intermediate: The ability to pour mana into object and/or give it a purpose. like a warm fire or bright light. Also increased magical capacity 100-500 ,damage 1-50 Lv 3 Intermediate. In here each magic takes different routes and is similar to the magic we all are familiar. Atack magic/defence magic or suport. but these are weak :The basic spells like mana bullet fire bullet, partial strenghtening (5-10% upgrade), limited control over basic elements,low level healing,mana barrier. and 0 AOE and they are mostly non lethal spells or can block non lethal atacks. mana 500-800 ,atack power for atack spells 50-100 ( a normal person has 300-800 life) Lv 4 Intemediate-Advanced same as intermediate but they are stronger and can be considered lethal mana 800-2000 atack power for magic 100-600 Lv 5Advanced here appear AOE magic (but they are short ranged and are weaker than 1 target ones) , they have stronger version for the Intermediate advanced magic and require more mana 2000-8000 atack power 600-1000 Lv 6 Sage: more spells avaible like teleportation for short distances ( -10 m), summoning of weak familiars ( MC can''t summon familiars yet, in fact summoners are very rare), tamers, mind reading,telekinesis,magical crafting,ilussion magic, regenerating lost limbs, multiple barriers for defense ,full body strenghtening. mana 8000-20000 ,atack power for atack magic 1000-2000 per target Lv 7 Great Sage Stronger version of sage but unlike sages that can''t use all of the small branches they can use them as much as they want 20000-30000 mana and 2000-3000 atack power for magic. Lv 8 Ruler/King (might change it in the future). Can resurect deads that died a few second ago like they were brand new+ larger AOE than great sage( maximum Aoe radius 100 m) mana 30000-50000 atack power 3000-6000 Lv 9 God can do anything they want and kill anything reason for wich they are worshiped mostly choose a magic they speicialize for pleasure, also immortals (weak gods can be defeated by greath sages in 3 vs 1) atack power 6000+ mana 50000+ ~~~Magic proeficiency 3 levels offcourse lv1 Magic circle +chant -anyone that has seen and used the magic that wants to used lv2 Chant - someone familiar with the respective magic that has used it multiple times lv3 Chantless - someone that understand how the magic works,operates and how to set the different parameters necesary for it to work the way the caster wants. Battle Power/Rating this is a new system that is going to be presented during the school arc and in the heroes second story. there are 6 levels Lv 1 Elementar ( worms) they are practicly very weak.most human farmers are this level. Lv 2 Disciple(bigger worms with teeth) Person that can deal with minor treaths like goblins and other low level monsters- human low ranking guards are trained atleast that much. Lv3 Warrior.( cats/dogs) All demons are atleast this level once they are adults while a knight requires years of training. Can defeat large groups of low level demons and some medium ranked monsters (orcs- small wiverns) Adventurers are also required to be this rank atleast (Sabrina''s current rank) Lv 4 Great warriors(predators)-Capable of handling low-medium level demons with ease and in groups can defeat bigger monsters(wild dragons/wiverns/orcish hordes) and are usually at the top of an army (MC''s current rank) Lv 5Master(monster rank) each master is atleast worth 10 Greath warriors and can easily crush armies of warriors or lower as long as they aren''t lead by a greath warrior ( Sabrath''s and Aria rank) Lv 6Great Master(God of the battlefield): They have mastered atleast 2 battle styles(magic/meele/ranged)Fighting large armies is nothing and some say they are complete monsters.(MC is not this rank yet) And for the last ones there are titles and a stats system that can only be seen by heroes,gods and chosen ones(people that defeat a hero or a god - demigods). We both looked at each other and then rushed for the kill. both of us charged at a dashing speed and killed 4 in 1 hit each. The remaining 6 wolfs regrouped around the leader. He barked a bit and the wolfs started using a lightning magic which was supposed to stun us but upon reaching the target it hardly tickled us. We were amazed. These were atleast B rank beasts but were so weak. We believed that mom lied to us as she said that 1 B rank monster was an equal match to a demon soldier but these were too weak. It was funnier and more useful than the last one. If we were to expand heedlessly we couldn''t defend the territory and we would fall and that''s why the demon army only had some minor offensive attempts to take out small forts and 1 city in the past few years all ending in victory but with a huge price. A few days ago we captured the so called rogue hero. She managed to get her freedom a few years ago but locating and the preparations for bringing her here took a lot to do. As soon as I hear that i prepared my stance and charged at Arius and did a horizontal slash at him but all I hit was an afterimage and he jumped back while preparing to make a move. As he came charging at me I was prepared to take the hit head-on as I have a very high defense i''m confident that I''ll parry his attack and then use the opening in order to finish this. As our blade collided and I used my sword to parry his swords he did and X slash which pushed me back 2 meters . I think he used some wind and strengthening magic to push me back like this but even with that he still didn''t create and opening. Arius POV~~~~~~ After I managed to push her back I started preparing my magic for a fire and lightning barrage so that i could get past that defence of her.It took all my physical power and with the help of wind and strengthening magic just to push her 2 meters but thanks to my high stamina this wouldn''t hinder me. It seems that Arius is preparing to end this as I can sense a lot of mana pouring from him for some pretty strong attacks but a strange mana is also coming from Adriana but it doesn''t seem to be offensive as I can tell is Holy mana a mana which weakens us higher demons and could kill smaller demonic beasts or lower ranked demons... The other men also noticed the gathering of both combatants mana and were scared of them as Holy mana damage takes a lot to heal and could kill a part of them at the power this girl shows and it''s very powerful and because the magic that Arius gathers is extremely strong and could kill some of them even if they have a resistance to that element. Arius POV~~~~~ As i finished preparing the large number of spells i almost whispered. *Melded magic : Fires of hell and Greater Lighting:Scorching Hell* Melded magic is the usage of 2 kinds of spells at the same time a feat wich very few are capable but i''m only able to use them for specific spells with specific elements. like wind and fire lighting and fire wind and water, lightining and water but I can''t use it for more complicated magic atacks or elements that don''t suit eachother like fire and water or magma and ice( yes by the magic system in this world magma and ice are considered separated elements ).This Magic is usually a small AOE magic attack in which I use the fire and lightning to scorch an area of 10 meters but it can be used as a 1 target attack skill if i concentrate all the lightining rays and fire into 1 target, in our case the soon to be roasted hero over there. After that she shouted the skills name *Melded MAGIC :Greater constitution and Holy aura :Holy Constitution* Adrianna POV~~~~~~~ *Melded MAGIC :Greater constitution and Holy aura :Holy Constitution* Molded magic is extremely useful even if it isn''t molded magic in the real sense. It''s just using 2 types of spell with a specific purpose at once. My melded magic is a strengthening magic which fills every cells in my body with holy magic and strengthens it and gives me a better deffence and then adds to that effect the power of greater constitution wich further strengthens my body to it''s limits and increases all of my 5 senses. It''s extremely useful as it also boosts my magic defence which allows me to take most sage and some great sage ranked atacks head -on. As soon as i shouted he launched his attack which pushed me back a lot while I could fill all of my body being fried but an advantage of Holy constitution is that it also increases the regeneration speed to extremes but drains my stamina a lot .I didn''t die but I could fill my stamina was near It''s end while I could hardly stay on my feet.
