Prologue Part 1
In the creation of worlds. It is said, that the law of nature, the existence that governs all beings, Not only made the world, but he also made two celestial bodies. These two celestial bodies are the Sun and the Moon. These two beings act as overseers and protectors of the world. They are vigilant, always keeping tabs on what is happening around the world. The sun watches during the day while the moon watches during the night.
They are also self-proclaimed Gods of the world, for they nurture all life in the world. The sun during the day basks the world in sunlight and night via the moon. Because of this overtime they grew arrogant and that without them the world would die, thus its only right to proclaim themselves as Gods.
Their believers were the first beings created in the world, humans. The sun and the moon loved these humans, for their prayers made them stronger every single day that passes. These humans were ignorant and primitive in their ways. Most of their life revolved around honoring and worshiping both the Sun God and the Moon Goddess.
They would hunt during the day and feasted during the night. Celebrating and honoring the Sun God by hunting as many animals as they could and feasted during the night for the Moon goddess, eating and dancing under the moonlight. What happens after the ritual dances are more feasting and massive orgies. Sometimes two neighboring villages would come together for such an occasion. Human population rose exponentially the more they celebrate. Such gullible creatures they are, being bred like livestock for the Gods.
They were living the good life. The sun and the moon both nurtured the animals of the forests near their villages. Hastening the animal''s growth by a huge margin. Most animals would be as big as an adult but still have the mind of a youngster. This made it easier for humans to hunt these animals and even though the sun and the moon nurtured these animals, their numbers would still decrease and then humanity would set their sights upon the fruits, plants, and vegetations until such time that entire forests were emptied.
Humanity spread like an infestation. Younger generations of different villages would come together and create their own village. This cycle continued, the world simply lacked the natural predators to stand up to humanity. This was their paradise, their haven and so the world''s first name was Eden.
That was until dragons descended from the heavens and set the world on fire.
The laws of nature sensing that the balance is tipping over. Counteracted by creating supreme beings in the world. Dragons, They were majestic and powerful beings. Their size alone made hills and the average mountain look small. They emit such a strong and powerful pressure that most humans upon seeing them would instantly collapse. Some would even bleed through their orifices.
Dragons were not the only beings created, the laws of nature saw it fit to add many more beasts albeit mindless are still strong enough to face dragons and humans alike. So as to counteract if the dragons and/or humans went too wild.
So when the dragons descended, great fires spread across world. Different colored flames spewed from different dragons. Some dragons could even breath a breeze so cold that it would instantly freeze anything it touches. Some don''t even breathe fire but their roars were so loud and fierce. These roars sent out waves of vibrations through the air. Instantly killing those within range while heavily injuring those outside of it.
But the most terrifying out of these dragons were the metal dragons. These dragons were big, if they rested, they would look like giant mountains except these mountains are made of different kinds of metals. The way these dragons attacked simply caused the humans to greatly fear them amongst the rest. For they have no chance of surviving these dragons'' attacks.
They would soar above the sky. From below they would look like very small birds. They would circle villages and then they would suddenly descend at high speeds. The signal of their coming is a sonic boom, a very loud sonic boom that would render all those who heard it unable to move because they knew what was coming and they knew that there was no chance of outrunning this one. And as soon as that sonic boom was produced another deafening boom would follow.
This boom was not the penetration of the sound barrier, no, this boom was produced by the dragons crashing onto the land. The earth would dance like a snake, from the epicenter, waves and waves of earth would be produced, it was bizarre seeing this. Land acting like water. After a few of these waves, the land would begin to crack and it would all fly in all directions, if there were any survivors, even hiding behind stones was meaningless as these projectiles were flying at high speeds that they could penetrate even huge boulders.
To humans across Eden, this was the first apocalypse. The arrival of the harbingers of death.
This was the first time the name of the world changed, from Eden to Hell.
This was a show of force to the sun and moon. That they are not all powerful and cannot create life. This was a message to both of the celestial bodies that if they grew more arrogant and try to tip the balance, the laws of nature would simply counteract with unpredictable moves, such as creating powerful creatures to dissuade humanity of the belief that the sun and the moon are the only powerful beings in the world.

The sun and the moon were angry, for even if they are more powerful than the dragons, their powers are limited in the world. They cannot manifest themselves on the ground to fight the dragons who are terrorizing and subduing one village after another that are worshiping the two celestial bodies.
They were willing to concede as long as they still have followers however small. But the dragons were simply too prideful and arrogant, such is the curse for being powerful. They cannot accept that these small fragile creatures were worshiping beings other than them, so they spread all around the world to subjugate and terrorize all signs of human civilization. Not even those isolated human settlements were spared.
Seeing this, the sun and the moon mustered what power they could manifest on the ground to curse the dragons. Their target was the dragon king and queen. During the day, intense beams of light would descend upon the mountain peak to which the dragons called home. The dragons didn''t even care, the light barely damaged them. Instead they were laughing at the desperate attempt from the sun.
When the day turned into night, the moon then set its light upon the mountain peak. When the light reached the dragon queen, she felt a slight nausea, almost blacking out. After a while, she simply shrugged it off because of the thought of losing face in front of their subjects, humiliating her king for choosing a weakling for a queen and the mother for the future prince.
Seeing this nonchalant and reckless attitude of the dragons, the sun and the moon were smirking inwardly. How could they not? their targets were clueless of whats to come.
When dawn came, all of the dragons on the mountain peak simply fell asleep. The last who fell asleep were the king and queen and they knew something was terribly wrong. The two flew to the cave they made at the top of the peak and dove down to the heart of the mountain. The pressure inside this cavern was enormous, even diamonds would be crushed into a million pieces.
Before the sleep took a hold of them, they sent all their mana and records of their memories to their son inside the womb of the queen. Then they also fell asleep never to wake up again.
The sun''s light was a very strong dispel magic. Nobody ever realized this, but the sun has an arsenal of very strong light magic. But since he was tasked to nurture all life, most of his magics are not offensive in nature but supportive. Buff and Debuff. What he dispelled though was the innate divine protection of the dragons.
The moon''s light on the other hand was a very strong curse magic. The moon has an arsenal of very strong darkness magic. Most of them are curses but powerful nonetheless. What she did to the dragons was simply to curse their now mortal bodies to forced slumber and their minds to endure eternal nightmare until their soul breaks and soon their body follows.
But they also paid the price, since the sun and the moon''s lights were cast upon the world. All human beings were affected. The sun''s dispel magic destroyed the inherent seal that is prohibiting humans from harnessing mana. Chaos erupted as humans went out of control, this went on until night time where they were forced to sleep by the moon''s curse. But of course since the mountain peak of the dragons were the primary target and took the majority of the power of the curse, humanity only suffered a small portion of that curse.
Some were affected while some were not. Those who were affected were forced to sleep for days to weeks and suffered their own unique nightmares and based upon those nightmares, they themselves became their own demons. This was an event that sent the world into utter chaos. Many creatures of the night emerged.
This day was known as the great conflict. For humans all across the world, turned or not, were not sure of what to feel.
They gained power that day yet the creatures that slaughtered them were now gone. They were happy then sad because they felt wronged. Sadness then turned to anger for fate to be so cruel, just when they were able to fight back, their enemies gone. Anger turned to hatred towards the two Gods, although they would never admit it. They hated both Gods for not letting them have a chance at the dragons.
And so they turned against one another. ''kill kill kill'' they thought. They are children of the gods are they not? if they were to kill a few of them, would that abate their hatred? Wouldn''t they get punished if they started killing off fellow children of their God? Then maybe if they slaughtered the children of the other God, wouldn''t that be fine?. And so war erupted.
This was the catalyst for a name change for the world yet again. From Hell to Purgatory.
The Sun God and the Moon Goddess was also happy because they were able to smite the dragons. Destroying these creatures from where it hurt the most, their pride. It was akin to a king or a renowned noble crashing down to even below the commoners. But that was short lived as they saw what was happening below.
They were confused. At a loss of what to do. So they left their children to fend off for themselves.
From the perfect world of greenery and peace to a world of scorched land and mass slaughter then to a new world of war torn land and bloody murders.
And this new world will be the stage upon where the forces of light and darkness wage war.
Prologue Part 2
Creatures of the night were the product of the moon''s curse therefore in hindsight they were considered the children of the moon. In addition, whenever the sun is up, these creatures were killed by being burnt to ashes if not greatly weakened. The moon was of course angry. She thought the sun was indirectly attacking her since she already considered them her ''real'' children. So she taught her children the ability to use darkness magic to strengthen themselves during the night even more and enough during the day to run and hide.
The sun on the other hand was ecstatic because he gained the loyalty of the survivors of the apocalypse. He also taught them light magic while empowering his loyal subjects more power during the day to root out the evil creatures before night descends and light protection magic to ensure the safety of their new cities.
This was the day the two celestial beings subconsciously considered the other enemy and the day that marked their coronation as The God of Light and The Goddess of Darkness. They grew more arrogant than ever before as this was the time the laws of nature conceded and balanced the scale by letting them both be gods of their respective elements.
But the laws of nature isn''t so kind. It was simply waiting for the prince of the void to arrive. The devourer of the sun and the moon. This being is the one and only prince of the dragons. Although you could hardly consider him to be one as the laws of nature changed him while he was affected by the dispelling and cursing magic.
Once the day of his awakening is at hand, the world will fall into a week of pure darkness. This week of darkness is no more than the time given by the laws of nature to which will serve for the prince to consolidate his powers and read through the memories sent by his parents.
Thousands of years went by. The total population of dragons from thousands dwindled to less than a hundred. They are now spread across the world making homes out of mountain peaks which serve as great natural defenses. Once the domineering race now forced into hiding and seclusion. Such a pitiful state to say the least. But they can do nothing as their main forces and especially their strongest kin; the king and queen of dragons, were killed by the sun and the moon.
The forces of light and darkness still warred against each other but not at the same intensity as when the world was still healing from the apocalypse. Both forces took it easy and comfortably rested while gathering more and more soldiers. But of course, these two major powers are divided by many large and small groups. That have different interest, although belonging to the same power, clearly not at all allies.
On the side of the forces of light, different kingdoms rose and fell. Humanity warred against each other for more power and wealth. Kings coronated and kings assassinated. Border villages are taking the full brunt of these conflict as raids and pillages often happened. All for the sake of founding the first human empire.
Independent groups also arose, they who align themselves as neutral to benefit more on this business of war. Bands of mercenaries and bandits formed and destroyed. Dark organizations popped up everywhere, claiming to worship new gods.
And on the side of the forces of darkness, Clans and tribes rose and fell. The forces of darkness thought themselves to be superior to the inferior humans, established a caste system. Demons as they called themselves are now ranked. These demons sailed across to a new continent which they established as the demon continent. Many demons saw the opportunity to rule a plot of land and so demon lords rose and fell. All for the sake of founding the first demon empire and becoming the ultimate rank of demon emperor and ruling over demon lords.
And among these demons also arose independent groups. Viewed as traitors, they were exiled from the demon continent, some sailed to search for a new land to settle in, but most stayed since the demon and human continent were large. Large enough that not most of it are ruled under the two major powers. So they took refuge to these parts of the two continent.
As time passed by, many races were created from among the two major power group. From the forces of light, those who specialized in magic, evolved to beings with superior mana capacity and affinity for the elements. They grew long pointy ears and feminine faces. Slender but muscular bodies allowed them to traverse the dense forest with ease and they were feared as their bodies and affinity naturally made them invincible inside their forest fortresses.
From this group gave rise to the dark elves.The dark elves delve into the dark arts not for the moon goddess, but for themselves. They settled and made their home inside dark forests. These are forests which are constantly covered with a thick fog and with trees so thick that it made a roof not allowing sunlight or any light to reach the ground.
From the humans, some went into hiding from the start of the apocalypse within caves and dug their way deeper for protection. The pressure and gravity of these underground caves forced them to evolve, their bodies became thick with muscles and their height shrunk significantly so they can enter small tunnels they made. As making large tunnels under the weight of mountains made their tunnels prone to collapse.
And for some demons, they simply gained full transformation evolution, as they were already at the peak when the apocalypse changed them. Vampires could now turn into bat like humanoid creatures with four large fangs and two large leathery wings.
Werewolves gained the ability to transform whenever they want and break free from the enslavement of the moon goddess. Ghouls on the other hand only gained toxins and poisons that completely shrouds their body, simple but lethal nonetheless.
And the imps, although they did not emerge during the apocalypse, after that day, they slowly appeared and used their illusion magics on humans. Tempting them using their own greed, lust, gluttony, sloth, wrath, envy, pride, thus the houses of the seven deadly sins were founded. These houses are clans of these imps who by growing stronger took on evolution depending on which house they belong to.

From the house of greed, these demons are humanoid in form, except from their trademark pointy tails and horns, these demons has gems embedded in their forehead, in varying color, size and density all depending on their power level
From the house of lust, these demons, also are humanoid in form, no they look like humans, beautiful women and handsome men, aside from their trademark pointy tails and horns, the more power they hold, the more alluring they become.
From the house of gluttony, these are the most hideous looking demons, aside from their trademark pointy tails and horns, they are fat with rotten teeth and a stench that can rival that of the ghouls. The more power they hold the more bodies they can devour and the worse their smell get.
From the house of sloth, these demons are normal looking, just humanoid in form with pointy tails and horns. Though ordinary looking, the more power they hold, the stronger and wider the area of their influence that will make any living being feel tired, lazy, and bored. Making them lose their spirit and will to fight that they''d rather sleep in the middle of battle. Any methods so long as to make their enemies vulnerable enough to kill them with ease.
From the house of wrath, these are probably the most fearsome looking of all the demons. They are huge, their horns would be so thick and powerful, tails that even have ripples of muscle in them, eyes that are always burning red, they look more like an overgrown bull standing on two feet instead of course these bulls from hell are wielding various large two handed weapons like hammer,scythe,sword,spear,axe etc..
From the house of envy, they look more like an imp. Probably the most dangerous of all the houses of demons, as they can steal bodies from anyone, of course they are prohibited from doing so against fellow demons, but that doesn''t mean they can''t when no one witnesses the act itself and murders the target right after. The more power they have the more powerful bodies they can steal.
From the house of pride, these demons are noble looking, they emit a majestic aura, befitting that of a king or an acclaimed hero. It is even more fitting to call them another variant of vampires as they look alike in human form aside from their tails and horns and the vampire''s fangs as theirs are serrated teeth. These demons rely heavily on darkness magic as they''d rather burn their targets with their dark flames than dirty themselves with sweat, blood, and dirt.
And finally, those who were exiled from the demons, formed their own beast clans. They mated with different beasts that also gained powers and humanoid forms when the apocalypse came. They are no different from the common wild beasts found along the edges and deep inside forests, the main difference is that these beasts are magically enhanced and have unique abilities.(like creating and controlling fog, producing lightning, mind control, etc.. and they are limited to what ability they have).
The variant races of these magical beasts are unknown, since they rarely come out and no news of them are available as search parties and exploration parties are quickly disposed of inside their territory not leaving any survivor. This was their code, to protect themselves, never give the enemy any information regarding their race. Smart creatures they are, no weakness known, only their strength. An effective tactic to scare away any potential conflict.
They would often leave some alive and take them as prisoners to teach their young how to hunt deep within their forest. Such life is lower than even rats, at least they are left alone and not be toyed with. But they knew, protesting is useless as they willingly entered, no, invaded the beasts'' territory.
When a lot of things were happening on the surface. The Sun God and the Moon Goddess held a meeting with each other, other smaller/weaker celestial bodies as their witness, stars. They made an agreement to never again directly manifest their power on the world as they won''t know what will happen the next time they do this.
Also as not to risk from getting any reaction from the laws of nature. As they understood if they were to become too much of a threat to the world, they would get disposed of. They''ve seen the terrifying black holes just looming far and near from them.
Since they have used up much of their powers from the apocalypse to the following years spent healing the land of its wounds and teaching their believers how to use their respective elements. They both agreed to slumber for five thousand years.
And since the second apocalypse birthed the new world of Purgatory, it was considered as the starting year, The Genesis.
The ever vigilant sun and moon both went to deep slumber, not caring what happens to the world now as its basically impossible anyway to do anything lest they want to try their luck with the laws of nature and/or strain the world into destruction thus sending both of them to oblivion with it.
They also had enough entertainment to last them for a million years. They reasoned themselves that the world is no longer young so it should be able to take care of itself and mortal affairs should be handled by mortals. They grew weary and bored of the constant wars anyway so they might as well to take full advantage and slumber whilst regaining lost mana.
If they knew that the awakening is coming or even the knowledge that the son of the king and queen of dragons is alive, they wouldn''t be leisurely sleeping to rest. They would''ve sent their loyal minions to take care of it for them since surely the prince will not be powerful enough to stop millions of attackers from all sides.
But the laws of nature isn''t so kind.
Prologue
It was all because of the obsession with strength.
Dragons are such majestic creatures. They are the beings closest to the heavens. It is said that once they reached adulthood, a dragon could take the form of an angel. In essence, angels were dragons. The hierarchy of the choir of angels are dependent upon their wings. The wingspan, the number, the strength, etc.. Alot of factors goes into determining what rank you are. Thus, wingless dragons were thrown out of the heavens.
One such dragon was me. I am called Levi, i don''t know who gave me that name, i just know that is my name and just the same way i know what my name is, i also know that i was abandoned. You could say baby dragons have far higher intellect than humans, even though i don''t remember what exactly happened, deep within my mind, i just know that it happened.
I thought that life couldn''t get any harsher than that but i was wrong. The place where i was thrown out into was the deep ocean. Blessed are they who are born unto the land for it is much more peaceful and much more controlled by local authorities. In many ways, the deep is the same as the surface, the only difference is that the deep ocean is not limited by gravity, thus it is much bigger compared to the surface. The pressure there is also unimaginable, creatures who live there are far too many to count and are terrifying in their own right. One of them alone could wreak havoc on the surface but if you put all of those monsters into one place, chaos would ensue.
I was still young then. I thought that life was unfair but i thought wrong. It was they who was unfair. Just because i had no wings, they thrown me out into the deep. I was their child for God''s sake! The least they could have done was give me to some family with no child or atleast leave me on the surface. But no, they simply did not care if i was their child or not. All they cared for was strength!

Strength was the bane of my life yet it was also my lifeline. I desperately tried to achieve absolute strength. It took many many years, countless battles, countless lives. Yet i was not satisfied, i was never satisfied. I did not realize it back then, It was not strength that i needed. I only realized it when i stood at the top, battered and alone. No one to share my goals with, my suffering, my tears, my joys. No one, every other creature stayed away from me like i was some sort of plague. What i wanted was strength, what i needed was family. Two completely different things yet tied together like entangled strings.
That moment lead to my decision to leave the deep ocean and try to live a new life on the surface. I had already gained my human form then, i was no angel. I had no wings to show for, but i had the strength that no angel could oppose, that i was glad for. It was like my strength was a mockery to those who abandoned me. It was like a comforting whisper, assuring me that i am no weakling, that they were wrong.
And thus, my real story began then.....
Author''s Note: I''ve been wanting to write my own story because of the limited number of stories i wanted to read. I think i also finished most of the stories i wanted to read, they just need to update them, but updates takes a long time. I could not possibly wait. So i thought, why not make my own.... it would be far better than reading someone else''s.. that way i can just write it the way i want to. Still, even though this story first and foremost is for my own entertainment, i do wish to improve my delivery skills and my writing skills. So, please, give me a constructive criticism/feedback and if possible, give me an example, maybe, rewrite my prologue and give me your own version of it so i can compare and learn. Thanks!
