《Trooper (Dropped)》 Prologue: Deaths Embrace Death, it was all around me. The screams and calls of the bugs echoed in the night air; my full faced helmet allowing the sounds through. My entire squad, Delta One, decimated. My men cut to pieces by the bug nemesis without so much as a whimper. I couldn''t fathom it, we were the elite; the most well trained and deadly squadron within Humanities forces. Yet we were caught unaware of the presence beneath this reportedly clear, and dead planet. I couldn''t feel anything, one of the Arachnids had a frontal leg used for piercing it''s foes shoved firmly through my shoulder, and I knew death was coming. If not for what they had planned, then from the multiple system failures showing on my helmets hud. Oxygen was already blinking read. Why did I not die with all my men? A simple answer; I was staring the ugly white grub in it''s eyes. I laughed, insanity taking hold, only to cough up blood the entire time. I saw the center of the Brains face extend outward, white mucus membrane falling off of the sharp bone like extension it raised upward, it''s body rising slightly to reveal hundred of roaches beneath the fat ugly thing. I smiled at my death, the camera installed in my helmet recording every moment, and screamed; just as the spike drove through my helmet and into my skull; eating all of my memories. "HUMANITY WILL----" then only pain hit me as it sucked my brain up like so much liquid. Death, the almighty equalizer had claimed me after countless years fighting for the Fleet, and the civilians to scared to join up for citizenship and fight the bug menace that threatened our people. For what? Nothing; what lay on this planet behind the Brain had been something so traumatizing I had been unable to see it even once...I could only prey as I was sent somewhere dark, and hot that my son would not join my fate. "Oh my God...Captain, did you?" - First Mate "Shut it Corporal! You, Cadet, get that video sent to command to review and analyze. No one, I repeat NO ONE speaks of this until further notice." - Captain "Yes Sir!" - Crew Sky Marshal Command ------------------------------------- "Dear God in Heaven, What is that?"-Sky Marshal Second "Silence, destroy this feed, no one sees this; no one learns of it. Everyone is here by under Sky Command order 361-C. This never happened. Send the remote signal to detonate the Orion."- Sky Marshal "Sir, but...there are over five hundred.." - Technical Advisor *Smack* "Fucking do it, or join them!" - Sky Marshal The codes was sent, and the last thing any on that ship new was the cold vacuum of space before dying. "Delta One and the Orion all died heroes, ladies and gentlemen. This footage, this secret, remains with us to our grave. No one will learn; to the rest of humanity it was a technical failure and we lost communications. Anyone who knew of this mission in command, ensure is either bought, or silenced. Dismissed!" - Sky Marshal Unauthorized usage: this tale is on Amazon without the author''s consent. Report any sightings. "Sir, yes Sir!" - everyone Rubbing his hand against his eyes after everyone had left, he looked once more at the screen and the last possible copy of what was seen; the brain aside along with the massive hordes of Arachnids on Dues, the supposed dead planet. That Planet had a Hybrid creature; something wrong by nature, and dangerous. It had a vague female shape, and resembled some sort of monstrous Bee. Almost like a queen...No one would learn of this secret. No one, he swore this vehemently. The mission had been sent to the vary edge of known space in the hopes of discovering the Bugs main world. Aside from that shocking truth, the video showed that there were thousands, millions more planets out beyond the known sectors. Finding, and ending the ever killing Bug menace would now likely never happen. It would kill the peoples hope. None would learn until it was time; it had to remain a secret. Commander Franklin Drak knew the risks. Both a personal friend, and valued hero to Humanity. He would remain just that in the peoples mind; each hoping that he lived in the outermost reaches of space, and was fighting the Bug Menace there while working his way home. After All, humans were en mass stupid creatures willing to cling to a lie that made them feel better. It was the person that was truly dangerous. Having said that those who were bought could be spared; was a lie. They would be killed through more tragic means. If they could be bought, then they could not keep that secret. It was a shame, but those that would not be bought, holding the most back bone and likely some of my best officers, would all perish as well. This video, this knowledge, would never leak.
Hello beautiful people, I decided I wanted to do this little fan fic. No idea when, or how often, it will be updated as I will be focused on my RL issues, as stated in Olympus, and will be stated in the Prologue for Volume Two of Blood Born when released later this evening; but I had this idea floating inside my mind way too long. I hope you like it, and the concept itself. It''s set a certain time after a bunch of shit from the movies/animated series whatever. I have yet to decide. It''s a fanfic that I am utterly changing as I want too because I don''t want it to be the exact same. If that upsets people, I am sorry. But here you go, enjoy. expect Chapter 9 of Olympus later today, followed by the Prologue for Blood Born Volume 2. Chapter One: Recruitment Likely going to make this third person, give it a shot and all that.
Graduation day, the end of a simple life dedicated to learning, and understanding the worlds that made up Humanities Empire; along with it''s most hated enemy, the Bugs. "As you all leave these hallowed halls of learning..." - Teacher Yawning from the third row back, ten seats in sat a young man looking to all the world bored to death. Beside him, a short redhead with a quirky temperament went on and on about joining the mobile infantry with him. "Trav! Come on, it will be so much fun, we can kill the Bugs! We can grow higher in the ranks, maybe even find your dad!" -Female friend The male, Tav, gave her a bored look before rolling his eyes. "Enough Trixie, just...enough. I don''t care about my Father. I joined to ensure citizenship, and to help pay my mother''s medical bills." Trav She looked put out, but cheered up again, and leaned in close to hug his arm between her small b cup breasts. A smile playing on her lips, a suggestion in her eyes. They were childhood friends, and had gravitated to each other over the years. But Trav held no interest in her personally beyond sexual relief and friendship. Though she often showed she wanted, and believed what they had was more. He shook her off, and proceeded to ignore her after that. She pouted, but the quirky Trixie was literally unable to stay sad for long, a temperament issue one would suppose. Admittedly, Trav found her attractive. Small petite body, muscles and curves in the right places, and beautiful bright green eyes. But he just didn''t have the capacity for love, not after the day he learned his Father had gone off the radar when he was five years old; having been forced to become the adult due to his mother breaking down. No parent should break in front of their child. His Mother had, and it haunted him to this day. She stopped caring, her health declined. The single reason he could go to school, and join the mobile infantry was due to his Fathers friend, Sky Marshal Raddick, assisting him with bills, and funding. His Mother was no longer that, he aided her simply out of the desire to try and see a small glimmer of the parent she was meant to be there again. It never showed; now he was happy to be leaving. No more mandated daily visits. The ceremony itself flew by, and was a simple event. He walked up when called, took his diploma; and left to the recruiters bus that was awaiting all those joining Mobile Infantry. Trixie had gone before Trav, and Trav was the last dumb ass to willingly join the branch with the highest death rate in the armed forces. The reason they had so many heroes? BEcause all of them were dead. The few that had survived were Johny Rico, a Mobile Infantry Legend, and former squad leader of his Father. Unauthorized use of content: if you find this story on Amazon, report the violation. Some others, but Rico stood out because he now ran the training for Mobile Infantry in his old age. He refused to retire. Trav sat on that bloody bus with no air conditioning, and waited for the time to tick by. Finally, it moved, and they were on their way to the boot camp. Trixie continued to attempt to talk his ear off, he ignored her; along with her hand placed possessively on his thigh when the other female recruits looked his way. He was somewhat attractive, good bone structure, angular features. Toned, lean muscle; and piercing brown eyes with black hair. Trav knew that the possessive shit would have to end, and he''d make it in the most painful way possible to send the fact home that he belonged to no one. He would not marry, and he would not leave the military service. It would become his home, escape, and career. He would not marry and father children because he fully expected to die, and leaving any offspring to deal with what the had would be wrong in his mind. As they moved toward the boot camp in the ancient bus, he eyed a black female recruit, mocha colored skin, and green eyes that stood out against the rest of her. She was gorgeous in the model sense. She was also the only one continuing to look his way, even with trixie giving a death glare. She''d do, when the time was right. Planning a method to make sure Trixie found them would be interesting. People would think Trav cruel, of course, but frankly he didn''t give rats ass. It might even save Trixie''s life if she saw, and left the infantry. Trav, while seemingly heartless, had no desire to see his childhood friend eaten by bugs. Losing himself within his thoughts, they arrived before he knew it. Fort Lancaster, named after some old earth hero. His new home for the next year while the Legendary Rico, and the Mobile Infantry drill instructors broke him down, and built him into a soldier above others. Trav had a set plan, to lead his own squad, and kill as many bugs as he could with those men and women before he died. This was but the start to his career, and he would make the most of it. A new day was upon him, and to Trixie''s shock when she looked at him, he was smiling like a child. Something she had not seen since he was exactly that. He never smiled. It made her happy as well. She had no idea what would befall her either. She assumed it was because of her; naivety at it''s finest right there. With that, they arrived however. Their new lives would begin today.
