《Blessed with a curse (BwC) [Rewritten version with continue.]》 Blessed with a Curse.0.0.Prologe Three hundred thousand light years from the planet Terra in an parallel reality that divide itself a lot from earths own. There the people have developed technology and objects to crossing long distances and to investigate other planets. Kyto stands nervously, waiting to go down to a planet that stands in the vicinity to a gigantic black hole. Due to its effect, the planet''s ecosystem have taken an interesting and scientific turn that is worth to investigate. New examined researcher on the ship TB-103, a small research boat that stands in orbit to the planet and has a mass of 1560 ton, Kyto is feeling very edgy and nervous. The beaming tech he will use is a well used method in order to move distances hard to reach. To take himself down to planets'' surface that is unapproachable with ships he have no other choice. The young researcher is however nervous. It is his first time to become dematerialized in order to being sent down in one contemporary hyper-dimensional space, then to be reassembled once again. The entire process happens directly and is painless. ¡°Kyto, see you down below on the planet''s surface. ¡° with an easy and soothing smile the three friends went down with some equipment, leaving Kyto to await his turn for a trip down. The beaming technology can only convert a certain mass and not more than three persons plus little inorganic equipment safely even thought they use highly advanced bioorganic quantum computers. Kyto is now about 45 years'' of age, single and a junior researcher and expert technician. Being well read, he does know that the beaming tech that is widely used, and have been in us for several centuries is very safe. Nobody has been damaged seriously on very long time. It is more plausible that he stumbles and breaks his neck than anything happens to him during the process of being beamed down. However, he is nervous and want nothing more than it all to be over and done with. Precisely when he stands on the platform to be sent down, it happens. An unexpected sway happens on the ship, but before Kyto have time to understand what is happening a light envelops Kyto and he disappears. Sent down in a beam that will take him to the planet''s surface. Horrified! On the surface, Kytos three friends that a moment ago was sent down now stares up at the sky to see their ship, TB-103 sudden implode on itself. The debris starts to being pulled down to the planet like falling stars to be burnt up in the planet''s atmosphere. Later investigation of the tragic event show that it had become a big error in the ships internal system, leading to a complete breakdown. Kyto, that should have been sent down to the planet never showed up. It was documented as having been killed in the accident. Researchers assumed that it was a gravitational spike from the nearby black hole that created or made the accident happen. Kyto, when being beamed down become sucked into the black hole instead. .... In another dimension on a planet that is ninety times as big as Earth, with a huge broad selection of different species and odd things. The big adversity of the ecosystem and selection of humanoid species have led to a lot of conflicts over time. The different kind of species are referred to as Elves, Dwarves, Demon, Halfling, Brutes/Beast-men, Half-bloods and forest''s fairies. Many more species and also monsters exists. The big selection also lead to many fractions. Five big events has come about that has nearly got the planet to be completely destroyed. The first event was already at the start of its birth. A planet with such a big mass normally wouldn''t be able to sustain bigger life forms like humanoid creatures but thanks to some unknown factor that was later referred to as god''s blood, planet not only got lesser gravity then it should have. It also made life bloom and evolve like crazy. Like god itself actually brought about a change to the world. God''s bloods effect on the planet lives varieties greatly. Those that was changed the most were the most simple life, that lived on their instincts. Those lifeforms were developed to entirely different species with unique abilities. Many of them became more violent, nearly exterminating the humanoid beings. The humanoid themselves did not get as deeply change on overall genetic level. Those that coped up with it the best at the beginning was the beast-men or brutes. Those were an species that had animal traits in themselves. Thanks to their genetic build up they became stronger, faster and more flexible thanks to the influence of the God''s blood. God''s blood had at this time not only influenced animals but almost everything. Also the air seemed to contain big quantities of this essence. It was not visible but it was still noticeable and soon became something natural, like it always been there. This tale has been unlawfully lifted without the author''s consent. Report any appearances on Amazon. One of the most popular religions that later sprung up where around the divinity Hu''lodun. Thereof, god''s blood got the name Lod over time. But before that happened the next species that used Lod to survive was the natural gifted elves. They created with god''s blood what cannot be other than called magic for the first time. Through the use of Lod the elves could for example create fire from what looked like empty space. Even cure diseases and damages over a short time. They later on became slightly dependent on Lod and as a result search out to live in the ancient forests where the natural concentration of Lod was higher. Therefore, their race are seldom seen around in the world other than in the wide forests and seldom near the big towns the people built. Dwarves and Half-lings were poorer in using Lod in the way the elves did. But they were proficient with their hands and learned to use it to creating new and powerful things. In the mountains'' deep interior, the Dwarfs could with their own methods shape and refine ore and its internal Lod. Therefore, Dwarfs often could be referred to as children of the mountains''. While the Half-lings lived on top of in the hills around the mountains roots in symbiosis with the dwarfs. They traded with the dwarfs and created a good understanding with another. The Half-lings were dexterous in the nature and created drinks and food that they exchanged with the Dwarves'' for tools. An unsaid bound of brotherhood was shaped between these short races. The human race wasn''t as dexterous to create things as the dwarves or Halflings. Neither equally natural gifted as the Elves. While demon-beasts ravaged and killed many humans they struggled to survive. If it was not for their perseverance, the will to learn new things and adapt in using Lod the race would have gone extinct a long time ago. Although they could not reach the other races'' deep understanding, their will to live made them develop and spread to become the most wide spread race. Dwarfs lifespan stretch to around 500 years, likewise the Half-ling had a little longer length of life than the humans but the real reason that they held such a low population was because they loved to drink, eat and to party as soon as they had an opportunity. The Half-ling also had created a way of taking naps in between their snack-times, with their regular pauses the Half-lings did not get as many offspring''s. The dwarves were to busy with themselves and their exploration in the deepest parts of the mountains instead of breeding. So, of course their societies were small and spread out in different mountains. Beast-men has on the other hand a high reproductive ability unlike the other races. But they are also very wild and impulsive species and could often be seen fighting among themselves if they weren''t busy fighting off demon-beast in territory. Naturally it all lead to that they got a lower population than they would had otherwise. Elves where mostly interested in the forests nature and of course themselves. They were a race that searched after perfection. Many of them are beautiful and haughty. It is understandable why the haven''t got many offspring''s when they there more concerned about themselves than others regardless of how long lived they are. Demons were a word that was set on an race that are ancient and almost exterminated. They were not as other races and varied in appearance from individual to individual. No people have seen or heard of a demon for several thousand years and nobody knows where they live. But with the old religious scripts the humans could describe them as nothing other than humanoid monsters that spread death and destruction. They could be told apart from humans very easily and foremost by the horn or horns they have sprouting from their heads or body. The planet''s overall technical development was very low in standard because of wars and the wild demon-beasts. But it was mostly so because most things could be done with the so called magic so the industrial period never happened. *What couldn''t be done with willpower or with Lod''s help can''t be done at all.* That was the way of thinking on the planet of Gamma. (To be mentioned is that god''s blood are a religious name on that invisible force that seem to exist in everything in this world. Can be compared manna in many other fantasy statements.) Blessed with a curse.0.1.1.Kyto meets Oda ¡°Aaaaa!! AAaaAAA!! ¡°Kyto screamed at the top of his lungs in panic although he did not feel any pain when he got beamed down to the planet''s surface. To half a second later scream even higher while he is assaulted with a horrible face that is only a few centimeters from his own and smell very poorly. The person have an ghastly dirty hair decorated with some leafs and a few small sticks. The teeth''s are dirty and although she smile kindly she is far from being called beautiful. The cloths the woman carries looks to be too big for her and brown. It''s difficult to say if the color was suppose to be brown originally or it was made like that from dirt. The smell that is almost visible to the eye around the person seem to yell, no. The only thing that makes the person seem somewhat attractive is her soft blue eyes, other than that respect it was even difficult to tell which sex the individual had. If Kyto had to guess it, he would most likely said she was a woman since the person had long hair and wore something that might ones resemble a woman''s dress. ¡°Sssh. Sssh. ¡° The woman patted Kyto on the head with a dirty hand in a honest try to calm down Kyto which seems to have to opposite effect. It took him a good while to calm himself down. But when he finally take a look around himself, he see that he is nearly all alone in a forest glade. Only exception is the seemingly crazy and dirty individual. His head hammers in pain and Kyto tries to pull himself up on unsteady legs. It is by now he understand that everything is not as it should be. ... Oda '' s POV. Oda, standing in the forest, with her arms embracing her son. Tears streaming down, making her dirty face seem even more ugly. She still smile widely in happiness. She just about remember how she came here and how she found him laying unconscious in this glade but it doesn''t really matter. He is at last back. Her own son! Something stings in her memory but she suppress it as fast as it sprung up. She smiles while she ruffles her son''s hair. Her son seems to be confused and Oda understands that he probably walk out in the forest to explore and got lost. ¡°what did I say?! Don''t walk out to the forest alone, Venir, you will get lost. hmph! ¡°she is however not enraged. Only nervous for him. ''What if something would have happened? ¡'' While thinking that a sharp pain that almost make her want to vomit swells up within her. She still manages to suppresses the feeling quickly. ''Don''t think on what could happen. He is safe with me now so no point in thinking about other things.'' She stands still for a while to enjoy the feeling of holding her son close. A truly magic mother and son moment that soon gets an abrupt end when her son Venir asks. ¡°who are you and what¡ what is this?¡° ¡°Don''t worry Venir. Everything is okay, mum will take you home.¡° Venir seems to be near panic so Oda does everything she can in order to calm him down with composed words. A coarse earthly rumbling is heard and Oda reacts instinctively. She position herself between her son and the sound that only increases in volume. Among the trees out strides a Bengor, a demon-beast that is a meter high and is comparable to it leopard. Apart from that it has a longer fur that glimmers in a metallic way when it moves closer, it also have eyes that are red and give of a luminous bloodthirsty desire. The narrative has been taken without permission. Report any sightings. ¡°Venir¡ run! ¡°Oda knows that she cannot win over this demon-beast and hope that if she sacrifice herself that it will give Venir enough time to run away. Yet, she knows it''s close to being hopeless. She has become very slim and boney thanks to not eating the last months and to a big demon-beast like that, he will most likely not be satisfied. ¡°I should have listened to my sister and eaten more¡.¡± Her son Venir seems to be confused by her words that looks out of place in this situation. He seems to be to afraid, frozen in place and unable to move away. Oda cannot do anything else then try to cover him in tears and curse to gods for being so unfair to them. ¡°Do not touch my son!! Come any closer and I will cut you up... y-you... you shit of a goblin! ¡°Oda begins to provoke it further while tears and snot runs down her face, making her look even more ugly. She turns her back to the Demon-beast and protects Venir. Before the beast have time to attack, out of nowhere a man dash forth and forward against the beast. The human pulls out what that seems to be a sword in a smooth arc towards the animal. The Bengor is fast but the man is faster and seems to have no problem beating the beast. The human himself moves like he is accustomed to fighting dangerous animals but the Bengor with its thick fur is still a bothersome demon-beast to fight. With liquid-like moves the blade cut the animal''s side and creates deeper and more widespread damage. This life and death situation seems to be handled in a calm way. The man is very dexterous and doesn''t give the animal time to think or be able to fight back at all. In the end of the fight the animal have no other chose then to run off, the man don''t follow pursuit and seems irritated that it got away. After the fight the man is not even breathless and he looks to be fairly buffed but it is difficult to tell in the clothing he wear. He starts to walk over to Oda and she gives off a gratefull, yet bitter smile and makes herself ready to be lectured. She knows that she has done something stupid but she had to find her son, no matter what! So she regrets nothing. ¡°Oda¡ your sister is nervous. We should head home¡ ¡° The voice subsides and sounds astonished at the end. The man looks to be around thirty years old with a very handsome face. Although he now wear a stupefied facial expression. ¡°Oda. Who is that? ¡° ¡°Don''t you recognize my son, Venir? pfft! ¡° Oda snorts and begins once more to pat the boy like nothing have happened, the boy himself seems to be confused and lost for words. The boy Oda holds and pats on the head has a dark hair and a decent face. Beautiful isn''t the right word, but he still got good looks even if compared to the handsome man beside them. His eyes are dark and seems to shine or perhaps reflect a small amount of light in an occult way. Yet they seem very kind, like a dark deep pond. He might be around 6 years old from the looks of it. "Let''s head back home Venir." Oda is very happy and can''t wait to get home again. Taking a firm grip on Venirs right hand she starts to walk off, pulling the boy along.
