《World apocalypse》 Chapter 0 - Prologue huhuhu , finally that bastard is dead! Dressed in extravagant clothes , A man looking around 15 years old exclaimed with a smirk . By his side , an elder surrounded by a black haze announced , "Your Eminence ! All preparations are done . We have managed to secure a drop of turanium from our harvest this time . If the poisoning succeeds , we can just wait for a few centuries and when we get our troops number back up again , that shall be the moment when the Radiant clan falls! " Hearing this , the young man''s smirk grew into a wide grin while saying , "Good , good ! Send Volker and Owain there . I want no mistake ! By the way , clean up this mess as well ." Pointing towards a headless corpse on the ground , the young man yawned and started walking in a seemingly random direction . I shall wake up again when I sense that the troops have united with us , until then , Carry out my decree ! After the word decree was spoken , the young man disappeared in a flash and a weird scene happened , the light in the area turned into total darkness and strange ripples in the air could be seen . Yes , Your Eminence . After muttering those words , the elder too , disappeared without a trace . In mere moments , two men had disappeared into thin air and a headless corpse had gone missing too . In another place faraway from the place where the two men earlier talked . An old man is seen sitting on a throne with a woman beautiful enough for countries to fight over for , kneeling in front of him . "My Liege , spies in the Northern region has reported that two fighters have been sent out by our enemy , the negacius clan. It appears that they are heavily armed too ." Bishop Cartela replied . "hmm , It seems that they have decided to attack Earth to recover their military might huh ... , I see , I see . Then , without further ado , Hear my Decree Bishop !" [ Old man ] "Yes !" After speaking , Cartela turned into a image and disappeared into the horizon , towards a striving city . One of the dragon was pure black and another was pure white . At the moments , both of the dragons had blood stains all over their body . The black dragon even had one arm missing ! Both dragons were snapping and clawing at each other while causing the trees in the forest around them to fly in random directions -shikk- Alpha , take co...! I repeat , Take cov...r imme..diately ! Booommmm ! In the sky , 3 nukes which could be seen from thousand of miles away were heading straight for both the dragons which were fighting each other . "FUCK ! Take Cover ! Take Cov... Kaboommmm ! The 3 nukes landed straight onto the dragons . Two landed on the white dragon while one landed on the black one . The shockwave transmitted travelled across the distance between squad alpha and the two dragons in mere seconds . Cracck ! The sound resonated as the men''s bodies flew back from the air pressure and shock wave . Upon landing , some of them had their ribs broken while some had broken their hand from shielding themselves from the impact subconsciously , only 3 people wasn''t injured from the shockwave . "Travis , check on the injured asap ! Sarah , come with me !" After speaking , the man who spoke started climbing the tallest tree near them , followed by the woman named Sarah . Travis : "Hey man , you alright ? " ???: "yeah , I can handle it . Go and check on the captain, He took the impact the hardest ." After speaking , Travis started jogging towards a man sprawled on the ground at the moment . Travis : "Medic ! Get your ass over here now ! He aren''t breathing ! FASTER " groaning , one man stood up and hobbled over to Travis location . However , upon checking the captain''s pulse , The man''s face turned serious and he started doing CPR on the captain . one , two , three , four , five . Checking breath . Doing it for 5 mins , the captain still didn''t show a response . "Travis , help me get the defibrillator ! " Travis ran to the man''s bag on the ground and took out the defibrillator , then running back to the man . "Alright , now help me hold him down ." After saying those words , The man started to prepare the defibrillator . 5 mins later -Beep- Calling HQ , man down in north-east , coords are 432-129 .Over . -Beep- Calling HQ , man down in north-east . Transport carrier in urgent need , Over . Fuck , HQ aren''t responding ! Hey Sam , what''s the situation now? Sam ( the man who ordered Travis to check on the squad mates ) : shit''s fked up now , both dragons are down but the area around them have two colours on the ground? Spreading around them , like the yin and yang crap . By now , all the squad members have gathered except for the ex-captain , Vice-captain Sam : Alright people , let''s move ! This location aren''t safe for shit . Travis and Clovis , carry the captain , medic , you heal up anyone who is unable to keep walking . After giving out the command for the squad , Sam started leading the squad to where one of their transport carrier was last sighted after communication got cut . Struggling , Travis and Clovis started to haul the corpse and follow behind the squad . After walking around 3 miles , Travis and Clovis couldn''t handle it anymore and the squad took a break . Sitting on a tree root which poked out of the ground , Travis checked on his firearms and armour after securing his loose supplies . The armour had several holes in the back areas which was received when he got blasted by the shockwave and landed on his back . As the armour''s pretty much useless , Travis took it off and threw it behind him .Suddenly a growl is heard behind him . Hearing the growl , Travis immediately jumped forward and roll into a battle ready stance . Raising his M16A4 assault rifle , Travis aimed at his would-be attacker , his should-be-dead captain . His captain was acting like a normal zombie would , both arms raised and jaws wide open . What was supposed to be dull and yellowish teeths had became black and extremely sharp teeths , sharp to the extent of being comparable to his bowie knife. Travis : "STAND BACK !" Travis was confused but his instinct kicked in and he slowly retreated while shouting loudly to attract the attention of his other squad members . Sam : "hey Travis , what''s u - the fuck?!" Sam who reacted the fastest ran to Travis''s side and was instantly befuddled by the appearance of the squad captain . Standing still , Sam was almost grabbed by the captain however Travis managed to yank Sam by the arm back . By now , all the squad members had arrived and some was even gawking at the captain . Especially the Medic , who was even walking up to the captain while muttering "impossible" . The medic was oblivious to the snarling captain when he grabbed the captain''s arms and tested his pulse . "what the hell , there''s no pul..ahhhh ahhhh hellp!" After testing his pulse , the medic was even more confused but the captain promptly grabbed him and pulled him down before biting down on the neck of the medic , it happened so quickly that Travis still couldn''t process what was going on in his head . Yet Again , Instinct kicked in and Travis opened fire at both the captain and medic . Killing the medic with a shot to the head and hitting the captain in the chest . However , the captain stood up and continued walking towards them as if nothing had happened even though he had just gotten shot at. Seeing this abnormal situation , a younger male squad member screamed out and attracted the attention of the captain , seeing the captain walk towards him , the young member named Sean opened fire at the captain randomly , until one stray bullet penetrated the head of the captain , leaving a hole and stopping the captain in his track . Travis , seeing that the captain had stopped walking , shouted for Sean to stop firing before advancing forward while equipping his bowie knife . Inching closer and closer , Travis became more and more convinced that the captain was dead but Travis , not wanting to take chances , Travis jumped at the motionless body and stabbed into the head of the captain . Travis : "Hey Clovis , check on the medic ! If he starts snarling or walking and shit , kill him by damaging his brain !" Clovis , upon hearing what the both of them had said , took out his pistol and fired a bullet into the medic''s head without hesitation. Sam : " Travis , report strength and status of our squad , Clovis and Sean , go and scout the area before us . Be careful , Go now!" Yes sir! Travis : "Sir , Strength at 8 men , after cap'' and med'' . 7 injured but able to move out." Sam : "Good , we need to make haste and meet up with Charlie soon , Bravo was wiped out by the nukes unfortunately." Sam : "Oh by the way , Travis , your dog tag has fallen off ." Travis : "opps , haha ."" Sam : "haha?" Travis : " yes sir , permission to start sir ." Sam : GIVE ME 50!" 5 mins later Clovis : "Reporting sir , the area around the two dragon bodies have been covered with a circular object , the object does not resemble anything and the area within the object isn''t accessible ." Sean : "Reporting sir , Charlie was spotted but they were in the same state as the captain , they are snarling and shouting at each other and internal fighting is ongoing . Our snipers are in position ." Sam : " Alright , take command ! Fire at will at whoever you think is infected with this zombie outbreak , do not let this virus get to the city ! " Sean : "yes sir !" After saluting , Sean and Clovis went to the area where the snipers were located at to assist them . While Sam and Travis were looking at the maps and configuring their information . While information was being sorted , shots being fired resonated throughout the forest . Sam : "Travis , move the corpse of captain and medic somewhere else first , so as not to affect morale." Travis : "Yes sir." Truthfully speaking , seeing the corpse of the captain and medic of your squad lined up together , whenever you move or do your daily business was depressing and morale was affected , especially after seeing the medic next to the captain . Thinking that if anyone had reacted fast enough to pull the medic away from the captain , the medic would still be alive and moving . However , what''s done is done and Travis don''t really care about trying to judge himself to correct himself , this mindset was what the army''s training had caused Travis and several members of Travis''s squad to have . As Travis reached the area where the corpse of cap'' and med'' was , he started to focus and moved the bodies to a more remote place . However , when he started moving the captain''s body , he spotted something resembling a card on the ground . The card had the same colour as the earth , making it seem almost transparent , also making Travis nearly miss it . If not for Travis increased awareness in the surrounding , Travis would not notice the card . Picking up the card , Travis inspected it briefly and tapped it a few times too , however there was nothing out of the ordinary happening . "It figures , I have been playing too much game." Travis muttered under his breath and awkwardly laughed it off. However , what Travis didn''t notice was a little blue screen-like notification hanging around in his vision , only after he finished moving the bodies of both the cap'' and the med'' did he notice it . When Travis saw the notification , he thought it was fake and tried to touch it , however it was just ...simply there and he couldn''t reach or touch it at all . After several attempts of trying to touch the screen , Travis realised it was futile and tried a different approach , willing the screen to become bigger , Travis managed to ...enlarge the screen ( what else were you expecting )

Looking at the words on the foreign screen , Travis linked it to the card in his hand , closely inspecting it. Fiddling with the card , Travis came to the conclusion that the card didn''t had any button or stuff for him to use it normally ( real smart mc here ) . Trying the last resort he had came up with , he tried willing the card to be used.

Staring at the screen , Travis could only mutter out an "ok..." before trying to close it again . After successfully closing it , Travis then realised that he had spent a full hour with his new-found ''power'' , finding out that he could cause insane damage by throwing random things like a rock at any target he wished to hit . The thing would fly straight at the target , the rock he threw randomly even managed to penetrate through the thick tree bark of a tree he threw at. Using just a tiny amount of strength could do this , what if Travis applied his full strength into it? Back to the matter on hand , Travis immediately broke into a sprint back to where Sam was at. When Travis made it back to the camp and reported to Sam about what happened , excluding details about the card and the blue- screen stuff , Travis could appraise Sam too and Sam did not showed any response to the blue screen appearing in front of Travis

Chapter 2 Enjoy the chapter . Made by Fownz , proofread (not yet...) by Fownz , published by Fownz . After inspecting Sam''s status , much to the oblivion of Sam , Travis willed the screen to close and went to the makeshift campfire of alpha . Travis realised , after playing around with his new powers that he could appraise someone and look at their status , for example , Sarah''s stats were much weaker than Travis . (Come at me Feminists ) However , it was only because Travis had been serving in the military longer than her and have gone through much more hours of training. ( ok I am sorry ) . Secondly , Travis''s active skill , throw , made use of objects that can be thrown to inflict more destruction . For example , before acquiring ''throw'' , If Travis threw a stone at a tree , the stone would just bounce off . \ However , after acquiring ''throw'' , a simple stone thrown by Travis had an alarming high-accuracy and insane power . As mentioned earlier , Travis''s casual toss of a stone managed to penetrate through a tree which was at least 10 meters wide! Depending on the power behind the tossed object , the object could potentially explode upon contact with an enemy! That was how strong Travis active skill was. With a full moon out , Travis laid in his tent while thinking about how unreal this whole situation was. Yesterday was just another normal day , However the military was suddenly gathered as the satellites of United States picked out 4 massive entity entering into the Earth''s atmosphere . The president , believing that a foreign race was invading Earth , sent 3 elite squads out to scout the mysterious visitors . All 3 squads were wiped out.However , one squad managed to catch a glimpse of the beings . Unbelievable as it was , the 4 beings were 2 black and 2 white dragons ! It was also reported that the dragons were fighting amongst themselves too . After confirming the situation , 5 more elite squads were sent out . Alpha , Bravo , Charlie , Delta and Echo was sent out to attempt to take down the 4 beings , Alpha , Bravo and Charlie was sent to the frontlines while Delta and Echo was at the backline, in charge of the nukes for the taking down of the dragons . Bravo was taken down immediately after the nukes hit the dragons , Charlie had half of it''s squad down while Alpha was lucky to had only 1 dead man , although many of their members were injured . Though , Alpha now had two dead men . While thinking through what happened today , Travis heard the all-familiar growls again , this time in a much louder voices with different timing . Stepping out of his tent , Travis counted a grand total of 9 zombies advancing towards his squad''s camp. Without hesitation , Travis reached for his rifle and turned off the safety catch . Aiming at the heads of his ex-comrades , Travis managed to kill off 5 of them before he ran out of ammo and had to reload . Throwing his rifle to one side , Travis took out his pistol and knelt on one knee , firing at the rest of the zombies . Successfully killing off 3 of them. Just one zombie was left and Travis was out of ammo in both his guns . Travis was able to hear some shouting and loud footsteps but judging that the squad members were too slow to arrive in time , Travis took out his bowie knife and took a battle ready stance. Travis : "oh wait a second , I have my ''throw'' skill!" Remembering that he could use his power , Travis retreated a few steps and instantly threw the knife at the head of the zombie approaching . CRRACCK! The sound of bone cracking was loudly produced and the zombie fell down . Assessing the situation , Travis slowly inched closer towards the zombie to retrieve his knife. Plucking the knife out from the head of the zombie , Travis looked around a few more times for any more approaching zombies . However , there was none . No sounds were produced and nothing/nobody was coming . In fact , Travis couldn''t even hear his squad members anymore! Furrowing his eyebrows , Travis quickly wiped the blood on his knife on the zombie''s uniform and picked up his rifle . No matter how you looked at it , this situation was too weird . Inwardly panicking , Travis ran to the location where the footsteps earlier was , while reloading his rifle with a new magazine. Reaching the area where Alpha''s sniper team was , Travis saw a scene so sickening that he nearly vomited . However , if he vomited , his ex squad members would notice him and instantly surround him from all directions . Yes , Travis saw a zombie from Charlie happily munching on the remains of Clovis . The head member of Charlie did not stick with the rest of the squad and went by himself to backstab the sniper squad! How is this possible , weren''t they keeping an eye on Charlie what the fucking hell?! All the members of Alpha except Travis had turned into zombies , even Sam who had strength much higher than Travis . Somehow , one zombie had managed to turn an elite squad of military personnels into walking undeads . Travis : "fuck my life , what did I do to deserve this?" ( you took the role of mc , that''s why ) Retreating to a safe distance , Travis started to pick off zombies with his throwing skill by throwing rocks at them . Although the action was simply just throwing rocks , the result of throwing these rocks were 10 dead zombies in mere moments . Travis : "I am alone now..." Being alone was never nice , especially when you are in a jungle , with possibly another 10 zombies from squad Bravo roaming around in it too. Travis then started to search the zombie''s bodies one by one , looking for cards similar to the one he had gotten from the captain. The result was ...

Reading the blue-screen''s notification , Travis gasped in astonishment . This truly was game-like ! Invisibility and a Detection skill that could detect up to 100 km and scales with his intelligence ?! Even though Travis had expected a good skill to be obtained , this was out of his expectations . If a higher-being had heard of Travis obtaining these two skills with just his first try and with just a mere gold card , they might faint from shock . Unbeknownst to Travis , these two skills were extremely highly sought after . A passive detection is one of the most useful and convenient skill to have . And Invisibility is useful for peeping on bathing girls assassins . To assassins , Invisibility was an insanely op skill that had unlimited potential! Back to the topic , Travis instantly detected 10 zombies not far from his current location and eager to try out his new skill , Travis turned invisible , creeping towards the zombies 5 mins later 10 dead zombies were on the ground , but no cards were dropped even after intensive searching , although Travis was a little disappointed , he wasn¡¯t very much affected by it as he still had two copper cards left on him. Invisibility had 5 more hours remaining and Travis was starting to feel hungry . Ah , just nice . A fruit on the corpse of a zombie . Why not consume it immediately. Thus , our dense mc instantly swallowed a really sweet dragon fruit without any hesitations . After consuming the fruit , Travis still didn¡¯t feel like he ate anything but he suddenly realised that he swallowed down a random fruit found on the body of a zombie and Travis suddenly , didn¡¯t feel hungry anymore. Travis : ¡°what the?¡± Travis expression of surprise was due to a blue-screen flickering in his vision , normally the blue-screens wouldn¡¯t do anything and just remain there as a neutral part of Travis vision. However , this particular notification was flickering on and off in brightness as if it was asking for Travis attention. Seeing this abnormality , Travis quickly willed the screen to become bigger.

The reason why the supplies were enough to last Travis a month was because the supplies were meant for 10 people . Initially , the supplies would last the squad a week and should be enough to last a man/woman 2 and a half month , some blood from the zombies got onto some of the food and water . Travis , not wanting to take chances , decided to discard it. Thus , after deciding to get out of the forest , Travis packed up his supplies , prepared his firearm''s ammo , sharpened his knife and left from the ex-alpha camp with a heavy backpack .
