 Prologue: The Start of the Apocalypse

    This is my first fiction and chapter on this site i¡¯d really like it if you would comment your opinion on the story and give feedback.  Also i¡¯m really sorry if you have a problem with the spelling and punctuation.  I¡¯m very young and i''m doing this to improve my spelling and punctuation for school While having a little fun :).


    Day, 2350 year


    Year 2350 the economy dropped, the price of oil was drastically raised due to it being so rare.  War broke out for oil.  U.S.A decided to try and create super soldiers it was called project X They decided that they would try to  put dna from animals into humans it went fairly well.  Until they got a wonderful idea to get dna from animals all over the world and put it in one person.  It was a disaster created a disease that rapidly spread already over 90% of the world had it, the diseased killed over 50% of its victims some of the victims that survived evolved they gained animal like characteristics others stayed the same.  Animals got the virus too, not only did they become stronger they also became smarter.  Now there wasn''t many humans left in the world. That wasn¡¯t even the worst of it.


    Instantly I  woke up and grabbed my knife and looked around nothing was their. some weird thing popped up in my head .¡°All you humans have ever done is war war after war now you guys have created a Deadly virus that practically killed the human race and I have to fix YOUR mess so I¡¯m going to merge your world and another game like world is what you¡¯d call it.  To fix your mess which you got yourself into!


    After he said that the ground started shaking and a notification popped up in my head.


    Congratulations you¡¯ve been the first one to find a dungeon +5 Luck.


    I cursed.


    I was fairly calm probably because in my life a lot of stuff, has happened that has been totally bizarre and weird.


    Wait he did say this was game like right so I should be able to get a interface I thought.


    I thought Status and a blue screen popped up in my head.

    I am 50 % human 25% wolf and 25 % Poison Dart frog .


    Physically I have long hyena like teeth and fur.


    I also have Hyena ears and have a long forked sticky tongue.


    I have a lean but toned build.


    Brown hair and cold dark calculating eyes.


    Before this all happened I was a Sergeant  I got their due to me having outstanding leadership skills and I was a very good soldier and had a success rate of 90% I had failed very few missions and I had a 5 years of experience in the military.


    I went through the virus it gave me 2 characters which was very rare.


    After checking my status I look around at the other notifications

    I started sneaking around and then I saw a green like creature

    I sneaked up on it and tried to crack its neck.

    After grabbing the knife I instantly did a flurry of hits while aiming at its neck.

 Chapter 2: Magic and a new companion!

    Hey guys I was just wondering if I should make the chapters longer? Also this isn''t proof read so sorry about the grammar mistakes


    I thought great this is exactly what I need I used it and a notification popped up.

    I checked my status again.

    So can I put my ability points into my stats I thought


    I clicked on strength and tried to add 1 ability point on it and it worked.


    So I put 2 in endurance 4 in agility and 3 in strength.


    Then I put the goblin body in my inventory.


    I decided that I was going to try and hunt for more goblins and become stronger to survive.


    I spit on my dagger to put poison on it and started sneaking around trying to find more goblins.


    After a little while I found two new goblins one with a short sword and the other with a dagger around a fire cooking something.


    I tried to sneak up on them jumping from rock to rock trying to get close.


    Instantly when I got close enough I stabbed at the goblin with the short sword force and a notification popped up.


    After noticing it was dead, I quickly threw my dagger at the other Goblin.


    -24 Damage Poisoned


    It got lodged in its shoulder it let out a small screech and rushed at me and tried to stab me  I tried to sidestep it but it made a cut.


    -20 Damage


    I knew as long as I bought enough time for the poison to kick in then I would be fine.


    I quickly grabbed the dagger and twisted it making the goblin make a slight scream in agony.


    -30 critical hit


    The goblin fell to the ground and a notification appeared.


    Poison has taken effect Dead.


    The goblin disappeared in a flash of white light and left a small bottle with red liquid in it.


    I quickly identified it.


    Health potion-low quality health potion regenerates 50 health


    Nice I thought I put it in my inventory and started sneaking around looking for my next foe.


    After killing 5 more I gained another level.


    I realized I was hungry and so I tried to make a fire by putting to sticks between a stone after 5 failed attempts I remember that there was  mana on the status bar meaning there was magic!


    I tried to meditate and surely enough after 10-15 minutes I felt a medium sized ball in my chest.


    I tried to pull from that ball and push it to my finger after a few tries a little spark of flames comes out of my finger and few notifications come up.

    Theres other survivors out theres and I get increased affinity to Darkness Nice !I used spark on the little pile of sticks I made and started cooking food.


    After finishing up and eating I brought out my tent and put it up.


    I walked out of it and sat by the fire and started meditating again this time I tried to surround myself with dark magic at first I¡¯d use to much and then I¡¯d use to little.


    After around two hours of trying to hide myself darkness magic and to no avail I decided to head to bed.


    Waking back up into the morning I decide to go hunting for something stronger than goblins after searching for a little while I come across a huge snake like creature about the size of a wolf fighting against around 50-60  cross breeds between a human and a wolf at first it seemed like the snake was winning but then the kobolds as I decided to call them jumped back and just started shooting at the snake that''s when I realized the snake was protecting a egg that was black with white stripes the snake couldn¡¯t move or the egg would be taken or killed.


    I decided that I would wait until the fight ended and then rush kill who ever wins and take the egg the kobolds would never even know it was me if there are more of them.


    After waiting for a little while it seemed like the snake was on its last legs it had curled around the egg and was just sitting there I noticed that the kobolds had run out of arrows there was only 10 or so left so they started creeping up on the snake instantly when the kobolds let their guard down the snake shot out and started biting them the kobolds caught by surprise slowly died of one by one.


    Then the snake rasped out and said human come out I have a favor to ask of you.


    Surprised that it was able to detect me I slowly got out of my hiding place behind a big rock and put my hands in the air.


    The snake spoke again I''m dying human their is no way to save me I ask that you protect, cherish and love my daughter(the egg) in exchange I can give you a portion of my power when you become strong enough you¡¯ll evolve and gain my powers.


    Trying to remain calm I said I accept I will cherish, love and protect your daughter very well human the snake said it slowly started creeping up to me.


    Realizing she could be trying to take my guard down I hold the knife at the ready to see if she does anything with the end of her tail she presses it on my head and hands me the egg.


    A notification pops up

    Due to not being able to handle her power right now at certain stages or when certain requirements are made you¡¯ll gain 1/10 of her power


    Good bye jack I hope that you will become a great power in this new world treat my child with care.

    Don''t get me wrong I personally don''t believe in the afterlife but it''s always nice to comfort dying people it gives them a sense of comfort when they think their going to another place.


    I was pretty exhausted after all that happened I may not have realized it but that snake was the real deal! The amount of pressure it was emitting was no joke I¡¯m really surprised that the kobolds were able to get it into the state that it was in even to the point of dying!


    I grabbed the egg and wrapped it around the sleeping bag I had and then put it in my backpack


    I continued looking for something to hunt killing a few more Goblins I leveled up again.


    I came across a big entrance with Goblin warriors standing guard realizing that this entrance might lead to one of the mini bosses in the dungeon I decide to treat this as one of my missions when I was in the military.
