《Spore, Stories of Lords》 Prologue: The Thief and The Creature Hi there! Freak here! I had this idea while I was working, and then said "Let''s post it in RoyalRoadL" So here it is, I have another fiction in work but right now I want to write this. Also I am still learning english (self-taught) So comment below with ideas or help to improve my english. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I am... who am I? The human whom I don''t remember the name of, or the creature who I don''t know the name? I remember part of my past, like it was not mine. Myself... my human self, was a human who had nothing and started from the lowest, he was an orphan in the slums, in my memories they called it The pit. (A.N. He speak in third person because he is speaking about his human self like somone else) He who was an orphan, whithout nothing to lose and the world to win,started to steal from a young age to eat, he stole potatoes, the food of the poor, he stole the gold that the rich idolized and the rest desired. From stealing to survive, he now was stealing to live, starting to act violent, if someone came in his way and in the way of his survival, he wouldn''t think twice to kill him. He learned everything that can help him in his way to find a place for himself and himself only, from deception to tool of death and poison. But all of this didn''t help him in cheating death. One day after his routine of training, and choosing his daily mission, he got out from his apartment only to find a man wearing a black tuxedo, in front of his door with a gun pointed at him, *BANG* and all that was left was a whisper. "This is for Mary" That was the past, and now i found myself in a situation very similar, i am still at the lowest even after being reincarnated. ''Funny'' Even if i have to restart, i will climb to the heaven and have my revenge, on the God who forsaken me, as a man and as a creature. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I am in a cage filled with warm liquid, all that i see is black, I try to break out but the cage is hard, I try and try more, minutes, hours and years pass by, until time have no sense to me more, the memories of my human self is only a record with no pictures. *CRACK* It''s broken! My mind filled joy and the thought of freedom, I sense the change of temperature, the water that was warm now was cold and fresh. I look around and see other ''cages'', but they are no cages just eggs. From them things with a rounded body and a long tail swim out, they made me remeber the tadpoles from my past life, the only difference is that they are uglier than every tadpole that i sae, with a big mouth that cover half of their rounded body, filled with what seems to be a drunkard yellow teeth, and green pustoles all over their yellow bodies... but from my deduction, I have no right to judge anyone. Because I am one of them. Chapter One: Eat the Brother, Eat the Weak Hi there! As you may have noticed this is heavily inspired by Spore, as for those who don''t know Spore... go play it please. At that moment what appeared was a black board with white writings, i wasn''t surprised because in my past world there was something similar. So from now on i will do everything to become the epitome. *CRUNCH* *CRUNCH* I look behind, and see a brother of mine slightly bigger than the others of us, munching something, when i look better with what seems to be insects eyes, i notice what my brother was munching: another one of us. ''So it started huh'' I''m not surprised by the sudden development, because it was similar to what i did to survive as a kid in my past life, although it wasn''t that early, at the time i was already 8 years old, but here i am not even 10 minutes and it already started. ''..t... et.... et... eat... eat to...eat to...eat to live, kill them before they kill you, eat them to become stronger'' An uncontrollable whisper entered my mind, the same one as the one that was telling me to steal, an irresistible voice of a seductress, that put my instinct to light and help me survive, my only friend. I look arround and see a smaller version of my self, those who where brother now are weak prey to savage. I sprint with my tail, the movement came naturally like it was trained before hand, i open my mouth to it''s biggest degree, the other one turns arround, i see in his eyes shock and fear, but that doesn''t make me fidget, because pity is for the strong and i am weak. I bite the right side of his body, he start moving but my bite remains stable, no it starts sinking more till it reach the brain, he stops moving. I start eating, it doesn''t have taste or maybe i don''t have a sense of taste. After eating him i turn arround, and notice that from the starting 20 or so of us remain only 7 me included, after eating it seems that the cave or so i assume it''s starting to look smaller, but the others are still of the same size, maybe it''s us who are getting bigger and not the cave smaller. While i was thinking while looking arround, i sense a current of water at my side, i sprint ahead evading it by a breath, i look back and see the bigger one looking at me with predator eyes, i look back to him with the same eyes, if my mouth can smile right now i would have a fearsome smile. He sprints toward me with a speed similar to mine, i do the same, if someone saw this scene they would bet on the bigger one, because not only does he have the same speed as me but he has also the bigger mole. But i continue sprinting till i am in front of him, at that moment i turn my body to 30 degree evading him by a breath and continue to sprint, i sprint toward cave wall the other look behind confused and continue to follow me, as i was almost at the wall i stopped and turn arround, i look at his eyes that show surprise almost as if he knew that he was doomed, i laugh i my mind, if i can i would smile right now. At the last moment i swim to the left, now between him and the wall was nothing but water, he tried to stop but it was too late, *PUNG* he lost in the battle between him and the wall, ''Well that was unexpected'' i thought while laughing in my mind. Yellow colored liquid that seems blood floated out of his head, he is alive but not for long, i turn behind him and open my mouth now bigger than before, i sart chewing him before the others start attacking me. I thought, then i started touching the parts tab, with my non-existing hands, first i thought about buying a mouth so i selected [Medium carnivorous spore mouth], at that moment in the ball of disgust appeared a point, and that point became bigger until was bigger than the previous one, this mouth have sharp looking teeth. Then i proceeded to purchasing the eyes. ''Here come a good change'' I thought while selecting the [Minor night vision spore eyes] and here goes another 50 DNA points, with a process inverted to the sinking of the previous eyes, the new eyes appeared, they are of the same size of the old ones, the only difference is the color, they are pitch black. For last the tail, here i have a lot to think about, contrary to the previous two choices, the [Minor idrophile tail] give me a constant speed buff, as for the [Small fin tail] it give a speed boost that can save you from a sudden ambush, the last one [Small hand-tail] can give a everyday boost and also a first way to utilize weapon, although in water this utilize can be dubious. After some tought i found myself more inclined to the [Small fin tail] and choose it. '' Now the patterns and colors'' I selected the patterns section, and continued directly without even looking at the other patterns, until i found what i was looking for [Unique color pattern]. After selecting the pattern i selected the color section, and like the pattern i directly located the [Lightless] color, it''s of a color darker than black, the same color of the eyes. Now in front of me was a pitch black ball, with white teeth and a fin-like tail. ''Ok save'' Before saving, you have to name your species. Name.. name... Hi there! Got a new one! After saving the species I found myself inside the cave, now the cave seems smaller or maybe I am the one who is bigger, and the dark cave now seems a lot more illuminated, at the point that i see the exit in front of me, that should be the effect of the [Minor night vision eyes]. ''Well let''s go'' I sprinted using my freshly acquired fin-tail towards the exit. As I''m going towards the exit the light is becoming more powerful, until I''m in front of the exit and a dazzling light blind me momentarily, but that was fatal. As I opened my tiny eyes, I found myself in front of what you can only call ''Giant'',with the same form of those stupid tadpoles, the same yellow teeth and disgusting body, the only difference is that he is 20 time bigger than me, but scarier than that is that he have his mouth wide open and charging towards me. If someone other than me was here, he would probably be fearing for his life, but I don''t listen to fear, I only listen to instinct. ''Eat and kill, Savage and destroy'' Fearsome like always I rush toward the right, evading the bite by millimeters, the current that pass at my back is so powerful that make me turn twice from the centrifugal force. If I wasn''t in water right now I would be drenched in cold sweat. When the world stop spinning, I find myself looking at the opprobrium size XXL, as he look at my eyes with a shade of fury, I start thinking about a plan. My brain, that mysteriously still work inside this tiny tadpole body, start thinking of all the possibilities to win, what I can do, and if I can escape from the behemoth. But the other is not so gentle to let me think and start charging with his enormous mouth wide open. As he charge toward me I let myself sink to the ground, evading him by a good margin, after stopping he charge at me again and like before I sprint with my fin-tail to the right, evading him by a good amount of space. ''huh, it seem that he can only in one direction'' After some thinking, I charge toward the wall at the side of the cave entrance, he follow me, and the distance between us continue to shrink, until my tail was almost in his mouth, but the wall is in front of me. As I reach the wall I use my tail to sprint to the left, *BANG* *CRACK*, sounds of victory reverberate in the vicinity. As I look back with joy in my mind, I find that the now more furious giant, have only a small cut on his forehead, and that the *CRACK* was made by my tail that got stuck between the head of the monster and the wall. But I don''t get depressed, instead i try to cheat death. I start trying to swim up to the ceiling of what seems his stomach, when I hit the ceiling I start chewing and eating, what seemed an immortal beast from out, now is a mass of meat. The meat cave start to move roughly, I''m catapulted toward the walls, but then as it stop moving I move toward the ceiling again and continue my work. The digestive liquids start to cause irritation on my skin. I continue chewing with short breaks for hours, the skin on my body start deteriorating until my body fluids and meat are visible, pain like I''m burning coming from my body and pain from my broken tail don''t let me think straight. As I reach what seem to be the grey matter of the brain, the mastodonic beast stop moving and start to fall. I start eating from within, part for vengeance, part to satiate my hunger and part to subdue the pain. After stuffing all of his meat inside my tiny stomach, I find that the pain was long gone and my skin regenerated, but the most surprising thing is that now I''m almost at the same size of the previous tyrant. Fifth: I don''t really know what are the things at the top of my head, I assume they are antennas? I also think they are what five me the water manipulation magic. Sixth: My appearance changed, now my skin is of an light blue color like the sky above me, my mouth seems more human-like with molars and canines, probably it''s a variant of the omnivorous one, it seems that I returned to be a nightmare monster. Those are my point of what changed in my body, although there is probably more than that. I start moving in the water, my speed became the double of what was when I became a climber rank one. As I move I start playing with my magic, creating little hurricanes and blocking the water to stop my movement brusque, I notice that every time I stop shortly the shock force transfer to my body. But I immediately find of a solution. Just did 6 hours of mechanical theories and I can only think of (1000*VT)/3.14*D so yeah it''s pretty confusing Soooo today i have a grand new poll that putt every fiction whith female mc to a hard decision: Yuri or Straight? Girl Mc yeeeeeh Magic doesn''t work with some sort of supernatural element like the famous ''Mana'' of the games, or with the help of other equally supernatural spirits that work for you but are in ethereal form like some other novels, magic is simply an utilize of physics without any external intervention, just a movement of material and particles or atoms in some type of magic. The fire magic is a special type of magic different from the other because it work with the moviments of particle inside the targeted piece of matter.,and the power of your ''Magic'' give you a limit of range, power and precision of the movements that can give you a range of different temperatures. If you enough magic power to slow down the particles instead of accelerating you can utilize Frost magic. Frost magic is wrongly know as a sub type of Water magic but is instead is a type of Fire magic. Water magic is simply the movement and manipulation of the material at some degree when it is in his liquid form, with space between the particles not at the point of gas but still more than the solid state, the ''Magic'' power in this case give you a range limit, and how much liquid you can move, the third limitation is different from the fire magic, and it is how much movement you can do. A sub type of Water magic is KI manipulation, although in some countries it is not thought as magic, but KI is still a type of liquid and can be manipulated. The wind magic is like the water magic but work with gasses like air and water vapors it have the same limits of water magic. A sub type of Wind magic is Motion magic that utilize the air to move and minimize the attrition. Earth magic like the water and wind one work in the same basis of movement and limitations but instead work with solid mater. A sub type of Earth magic is Construct magic that utilize the propriety of materials to build from houses to armor and all that is solid. Various sub type of magic can be found in those that have talent in 2 or more type of magic, like Life magic that is made by Earth and Water magics and consist of modifications in living bodies, or Space magic that is made by Earth, Wind and Water magics and consist in having full control in your range of magic If you come across this story on Amazon, be aware that it has been stolen from Royal Road.
