《Disciple of the Evil God》 Chapter 1 - Trouble in Wudao Chapter 1 - Trouble in Wudao Wudao, a small desolate town in the Reiqi continent that''s filled mostly with farmers, peasants and those that wish to take advantage of you. Surrounding the town is a vast landscape of green plains and forests, where many cultivators are said to enter and never come out. This world is called Pan Gu, the surface is mostly unexplored so they say, stretching millions upon millions of kilometres wide. In this kind of world, battles occur every day, clans can be annihilated in a second and replaced in another. Mystical treasures are said to be hidden all around the vast continents, but they are guarded by magical beasts which have the strength to flatten entire nations. They say those that are born in Wudao town are forever destined to live life down on the floor, never having the chance to live a noble life like those at the huge city of Beilo. A young boy, looking to be around 12 years old with a long black head of hair going down to his shoulders walks the sullen streets of Wudao, his face has a hint of loneliness yet emits a fierce amount of pride. A long scar goes along the left side of his face, going from the top of his eye down to his chin. ¡°OLD THING! Rudan beat me up again, but this time I hit him back, he even had blood coming out from his nose!¡± yelled the boy, his fist clenched with a small amount of blood dripping from it onto the dirty, flea ridden floor of the run down house. An old man who looked to be around 70 years old with a small tuft of hair on his wrinkly head coughed and stumbled his way towards the hot headed boy, ¡°Getting into fights again you little bastard, Moon?¡±. The old zombie raised his ageing fist, slamming it into the face of the boy named Moon. ¡°This is the 7th time this week you little bastard, you want me to throw you out back onto the streets where I found you? You''d be captured by those slavers and sold to some noble man who¡¯d do vile and lude things to you all day and night!!¡±. Moon cocked his head with a ¡°Hmph¡± and stamped off to his room, slamming the door behind him. ¡°If only I could cultivate like those mighty heroes from the stories of a thousand years ago.. Like that old hero Imram who could supposedly topple an entire mountain with a roar! Or like Tenzen, who could wipe out an entire city with a smash of his hammer!¡±, but this boy had only wishful thinking. Living in a town like Wudao, there was never a chance for the villagers to even advance past the 5th Basic Qi stage, not unless they saved up their wealth for a thousand years to buy expensive spiritual medicine.. Most men would give in to become farmhands or simple craftsmen, living in the shadows of the nobles from the city of Beilo who could invest in the strongest martial techniques and medicine for their children. Cultivation in this world followed a singular path, which would start from the Nursery Qi layer. Each layer had 10 stages and each stage was harder to advance in. Most cultivators would use spiritual medicine to speed up their progress, which was why the city of Beilo had so many astonishing geniuses who in the future would be the shining stars of this Reiqi continent. After establishing the first 10 stages of the Nursery layer, then one will advance to the Descendant layer, then the Rebirth layer, Heaven layer, Half-Immortal layer and then the Immortal layer. Although an Immortal hasn''t been seen in thousands of years, there are rumours that there are even more layers after that one; though they are only stories coming from old beggars mouths which their fathers told them as children. ¡°If I could reach even the 3rd stage of the Nursery layer, I''d be one of the strongest in Wudao town! Too bad the heavens were cruel when gifting me with this shabby talent, am I only destined to be a farmer for the rest of my days?!¡±. Moon was like most of the children in the town, with poor talent and evidently no future hope of cultivating far in the future. The old man who picked him up, Gin, found him lying in a cradle shaped like a Moon which was made of solid gold and riddled with ancient enscriptions outside his house 12 years ago. At first he was hesitant to take the child, but seeing as he was in such an intricate cradle that could be sold for thousands of gold, he assumed the child would be something special and could possibly have divine martial talent, which is why he adopted the boy and took care of him for all these years. Little did he know that after adopting the boy into his household and storing away the gold cradle, it would disappear after a single day, leaving the old man with little Moon. This book was originally published on Royal Road. Check it out there for the real experience. ¡°Ah, the years go by and each year I grow poorer and that little bastard Moon still hasn''t shown any signs of having any great martial talent.. The only thing he does is fight with the other children, such a waste of space! I should kill him in his sleep for leaching off me for all these damned years¡±. Night time went by and Moon was fast asleep in his run down dirty room, dreaming of a future where he conquers the lands with his fists and scoops up a harem of princesses and beautiful maidens. The old wretched thing Gin, slowly crept into his room holding an almost blunt knife that was covered in rust, ¡°No longer am I letting this parasite run amok in my household, it¡¯s time to send this little wasp back to the heavens¡±. Gin held the knife high up in the air, holding it over Moons chest as he prepared to swing it down onto little Moon. Just as he was about to puncture the boys heart, Moon woke up from his sleep, seeing him holding the knife over him. ¡°OLD THING GIN, WHAT¡¯S THE MEANING OF THIS!¡±, Moon rolled over to the side just as the old man swung down and ripped apart a hole in the bed sheets. ¡°Little bastard, get back here at once!¡±. The old fool Gin struggled to pull the knife out of the bed, clearly his age wouldn¡¯t allow him to be as fast as the swift youngster who¡¯d already bolted out of the door to the front of the house. Moon swiftly grabbed onto the old rusted door handle, twisting it with a ferocious creak as he dashed out the door with the speed of a Heavenly Sun Leopard. The crack of dawn, birds whistled and the sound of farmers doing heavy labour filled the air. Moon found himself crouched down beside an old Boon tree. One can tell from the cracks and lines on the tree that its at least over 800 years old. The young hothead could barely contain his anger, ¡°That crazy old bastard, has he finally gone insane in his old age!? He actually tried to kill me and if I didn''t wake up then I''d be dead already..¡±. All of a sudden, a large group of boys could be seen walking from the town towards the Boon tree.. One could see that they were being led by a youth who looked to be around 13 years old, he had a bruised hawk shaped nose with a large mane of red hair. ¡°Moon you little bastard.. I''ve finally found you! So you think you can get away with breaking my nose huh?¡±. Moon sat up suddenly, the leaves that were built up on his legs flew off into the distance as he shouted toward the group of youths, ¡°So you brought more of your little buddies this time huh, Rudan? So one broken nose wasn''t enough for you?¡±. Moon crossed his arms defiantly, even though he knew he had no chance of winning against such a huge group, his pride wouldn''t let him back down. Looking at the huge group of imposing youths who were cracking their knuckles, ready to fight, Moon wished that he had better talent for cultivation. If he was at even the 2nd stage of the Nursery layer, he would have been able to flatten them. To cultivate, it required one to be able to feel the spiritual Qi in the surroundings. The many continents of Pan Gu were filled with various types of Spiritual Qi, and your talent was dependent on how much Qi one could absorb. If Moon had more talent for cultivation, he would have been able to atleast cultivate to the 2nd stage already. Spiritual medicines are another way to ascend the ranks effortlessly yet the costs are extraordinary, just a simple Elder Spirit Grass costs atleast 50 gold coins! This was enough to feed a family of 5 for a whole year, showing just how rare it was for them to be seen in the lower class societies. There are also legends that say there are extremely divine types of Spiritual Medicines that can grant legendary cultivation speeds and even allow the user to advance several stages at once! Though these are also rarely ever seen, are can only be found in the hands of stupidly rich noble families with more money than God. Just as Moon was deep in thought about how he would just love to trample on this group of bullies, suddenly a booming fist covered in a red glow appeared and landed on Moons cheek, sending him flying to the ground with a loud bang! Chapter 2 - Enter the silver haired beauty! Chapter 2 - Enter the silver haired beauty! A small amount of blood sprayed from the corners of Moons mouth, as the red haired Rudan stood over him like he was nothing more than a rat. ¡°Now you understand the difference between us right, garbage boy Moon? With my fire element you''re nothing! You only landed that punch last time due to the mere luck of the heavens!¡±. The light red glowing on Rudans hand contained a burning flaming Qi, the fire element. Children that are born with elements are extremely rare, happening in 1 in a thousand children, and those that are born with an element can easily trample over those without one! There are said to be many different types, some haven''t even been described properly yet in books, but Moons founder Gin happened to have an element description book in his room therefore he understood the most basic of elements. There''s said to be fire, ice, wind, light, darkness, thunder, water and many other different types. One of the strongest figures from Beilo City, the second prince Ven, has the thunder and fire elements. Multiple elements can be said to be very rare, occurring only in 1 in 10,000 children! The power of two elements fusing together and attacking as one is said to be devastating and allows one to compete with experts who are several stages higher than them. Stories from thousands of years ago also describe how there are mysterious types such as Death, Life, Divine and Time elements. These have only been described in books and myths, and are ever rarely seen in this current age. It was told in ancient stories that the old cultivators with these elements were like Gods, who were able to wipe out entire continents and form mountains with a flick of their wrist. The group of youths charged towards the fallen Moon, whose face was filled with anger as he wished he had the strength to fight back. The boys barraged young Moon with kicks and punches, when all of a sudden a loud shout echoed from a gathering of trees. A beautiful silver haired girl with hair down to her knees bursted from the trees, a thick body of Qi vibrated around her vigorously as the group of youths looked over in fright. ¡°All of you, go¡±. The frighteningly gorgeous girl who looked to be around 14 years old emitted an aura of grace as she dashed to the side of Moon, ¡°In trouble again, you never change do you?¡±. The girl had silver hair covering half of her face, yet one could tell she had looks that would make countries fight for her and empires fall for her. The baleful Qi she was producing showed that she was at the 3rd stage of the Nursery layer, with the strength to lift a boulder weighing over 200 pounds. The leader of the youths, Rudan, looked in anger at the girl protecting Moon. ¡°Moon! You''re nothing without your fairy princess bodyguard, you can only sit down on the floor like a bug whilst she saves you time and time again!¡±. Moon looked over in anger, if only I could have the power to beat this bastard he thought. The fairy next to him looked down at him, feeling a trace of sadness that he couldn''t stand up for himself. ¡°You and your bunch can leave now Rudan, don''t make me force you¡±. The fairy contracted the Qi and revolved it around her fist, clenching it tightly as it vibrated with a loud crack. Rudan and his bunch of underlings looked over with contempt and walked away muttering slurs and insults, ¡°Wait til I get my big bro, Beriel, then we''ll see who can protect that fool again!¡±. Looking into the distance as the group departed, Moon sighed and stared at the floor. ¡°With my talent, unless I suddenly discover some kind of miraculous spiritual medicine I''m doomed to stay at the 1st stage of the Nursery layer for good!¡±. Clearly he already understood that only the rich and the talented had a hope for cultivation in this world, those without would be doomed to suffer on the floor like bugs for the rest of their lives! Obviously the ancient heroes of the past must have been extremely talented and came from large noble families, not from the simple town of Wudao.. The silver haired beauty stood next to him let out a hmph. ¡°Boy, you shouldn''t fight back against Rudan and his underlings. You know that his brother has the cultivation of the 4th stage of the Nursery layer right? Not even I can help you if he comes¡±. This beauty was called Uriel, the best friend of Moon since he was very young, she was often nicknamed the ¡®Fairy Princess¡¯ due to her peerless looks. Uriel was always protecting Moon from the first day he got into a fight, seemingly she felt like he was a younger brother to her due to the way she took care of him all the time. Uriel was also a child that was left on the front door of one of the villagers houses, she was picked up a year before Moon by an old woman named Merry. This was why they shared such a thick bond, they were both left by their parents at such a young age! Stolen from its rightful place, this narrative is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings. ¡°Fairy Princess, you can''t always be taking care of me all the time.. I''m a man too, you know? I should be the one looking after you and not me! Also, I''ve some shitty news to tell you, that mad old fool Gin tried to kill me last night! He''s truly gone insane.¡± Moon had a look of hopelessness on his face, now with nowhere to go and no food, plus the fact he had no cultivation talent, he truly had no idea what to do next. The only solution he could think of was to be taken in by one of the farmhands and do labour in the fields for the rest of his days.. Truly such a fate was worse than death for him who wished to be like his martial heroes from the legendary tales of old. ¡°Is that true? If he had hurt you..¡±, Uriels beauty suddenly changed to that of an ice cold maiden as her face tensed up in anger. ¡°There''s no choice, you''ll have to stay with me until we can figure something out.. Ah, truly, you''re such a useless boy.¡± Uriel blushed as she couldn''t help but notice Moon thinking deeply about rude thoughts, ¡°You can sleep outside with the dogs!¡±. Moon let out a whine as the cool headed maiden lead the hot headed youth back to her house. Just like Gins run down house, Uriels founder Merry also lived in a deeply flea ridden and dusty house. Cobwebs covered the corners of the ceiling and there were numerous old antiques and memorabilia laid around the rooms, clearly old objects from Merrys past which she held onto to remember her younger years. An old woman with greying old hair and a wart on the right side of her nose slowly crept to the front door as Uriel knocked. The door opened with a creak as a smell of old age wafted out the door into the faces of the two youths. ¡°Grandma Merry, this little one Moon got into trouble again, but this time that mad fool Gin tried to take his life. He¡¯ll have to sleep here for now until he can figure something out.¡± ¡°So be it, you youths always getting into trouble. I still can''t believe Gin would try to kill you Moon, he truly must have gone insane in his old age.. Too bad, he truly was a good hearted man when he was younger.¡± This old lady has a good relationship with Moon, she was used to him and his usual antics like fighting with the other children. Many times when Gin and Moon argued he would stay at Merrys house for a night or two until Gin calmed down, you could say he was like her grandson! Uriel led Moon up to her room. Compared to the rest of the house her room was completely spotless and seemed like a room that could possibly belong to a princess. Her bed was king sized and the cover had beautiful foreign markings, making it seem like something from a completely different world. The rest of her room contained many different books, most of them seemed to be about Martial arts and Cultivation, the rest were about the many places recorded in the Reiqi continent and the various types of magical beasts it contained. ¡°Moon, you''ll be sleeping here like usual, don''t even dare to approach my bed as you know what will happen.¡± Uriel pointed to a rug on the floor and gave him a solid stare for a second before slightly smirking as she looked at his blushing cheeks and puppy dog eyes. ¡°Fairy Princess Uriel, you''re too cruel! Making me sleep on a rug when there''s plenty of space in your own bed! Can''t you let your younger brother sleep at one end?¡±. A whacking sound erupted as a hand shot out and hit Moon on the side of his head. ¡°You should be grateful I''m even letting you stay here! Now get to sleep you dumb boy¡±. Night fell, and the sound of cicadas could be heard echoing throughout this small town called Wudao. Only, a heavy snoring could be heard coming from a particular house situated on the edge of town. This was Merrys house, and this particular culprit was.. Right, you guessed correctly, Moon! Moons snoring was irritating Uriel who couldn''t sleep, she''d been awake for almost an hour now trying to fall asleep but the demonic like snoring would do nothing but keep her awake. A book suddenly landed on Moons nose with a bang as he unconsciously shot up and shouted, ¡°Shit, that old fucker Gins come back to finish the job!¡±. Uriel laughed and sighed, ¡°No you idiot, it''s only me.. Your snoring sounded like the seven immortals raising from their graves, you really had no intention of letting me sleep tonight huh?!¡±. Uriel got up from her bed, she was wearing a beautifully crafted silk night gown which made Moons nose slightly bleed. She reached under her bed and pulled out a small box made from a fine Boon wood. Uriel opened the box and a warm smell wafted out, it was a fresh aroma that smelt so euphoric it could make you feel like you were in a dream. This kind of smell could clearly only be released by a certain type of medicine, a spiritual medicine! ¡°Moon, do you want to get strong?¡±. Chapter 3 - A great change occurs Chapter 3 - A great change occurs Uriel held the spiritual medicine in her hand, the aroma filled the room and sucked them both into a trance like state, something like this is possibly seen only once in their entire lives! The medicine was a small green seed with irregular pulsating lines spreading around it from top to bottom, it almost seemed as if it was filled with life. The silver haired goddess holding it seemed like she was an angel from heaven, bestowing it upon this puny mortal. ¡°U-Uriel, where the hell did you acquire this thing from? Don''t tell me you lent your body out to some rich Lord..¡± Moon said with a grin. A loud slap resounded out in the air as Moon toppled over onto the hardwood floor with a bang. ¡°You idiot, Merry gave this to me. You may not know this but Merrys actually a cultivator of the 7th Nursery stage!¡±. A face filled with shock and respect covered Moon. Never in a million years would he have thought that the old innocent Merry who looked after Uriel for all these years could possibly have the supreme strength of the 7th Stage of the nursery layer. Just imagining the old lady having the strength to lift a boulder that weighed over 1000 pounds made Moons face crease slightly. ¡°She told me she acquired this back when she travelled the Reiqi continent from a nest of magical beasts at the 5th layer. After fighting for over 8 hours, killing over 20 Venomous Reaper hounds in the process, she managed to acquire this Spiritual Medicine! You should be honoured to receive this, after all, this was acquired from Merrys blood and sweat!¡±. Uriels face when she looked at the medicine was filled with respect, she truly looked up to Merry who had the bravery and strength to challenge such beasts and survive. Moon had a look of confusion as he wondered why she would hand over such a miraculous treasure, surely she would use it herself to boost her own cultivation instead of his weak cultivation! ¡°Uriel, why would you give such a thing to me? Do you even know what rank or type of Spiritual Medicine this is?¡±. Spiritual treasures in this world are ranked and there are thousands of different types spread throughout the many continents of the world. The most basic of Spiritual Medicines with basic effects are under the Earthly medicine category, with levels going from 1-10. These medicines give a slight boost to cultivation and have other healing properties, most of these are used by low level noble families. After that there are Heavenly medicines, the difference in price compared to Earthly medicines is astonishing! An average level 4 Heavenly medicine can be sold for up to 25,000 gold! This was enough to feed a family of 5 for 1000 years! This medicine can be used to gain a massive jump to your cultivation, heal your meridians and veins, and even heal the soul! The last category of medicines are the rarest and most mysterious, only the top figures of the martial world can acquire these! This category is named Divine Medicine, and they truly live up to their name. Legends mention that the Underworld Hysteria Root can widen your profound veins by an inch! This would enable the user to absorb Qi much more rapidly. Another type is the Devil Bane Nether Root, this one opens up some of the Meridians in the body, allowing the user to have a huge boost in power. These medicines can be said to be worth so much that emperors would be willing to trade their daughters over for them. ¡°I just can''t bare to see you being picked on any longer. It''s been 12 years and your still at the 1st stage of the Nursery layer! If you take this medicine, who knows what effects it will have. Not even Merry knows what kind of medicine this is, but as long as it helps you even slightly then I can at least rest easier when I sleep.¡± Uriels face went slightly red as she spoke, her silver hair covered half of her face which showed her green eyes and rosey cheeks. Truly the heavens showered this maiden with blessings when she was born, not only was she truly a fairy princess, she also had the kindness and heart of an angel! The narrative has been taken without permission. Report any sightings. Moon stuttered slightly, he never expected his fairy princess who he''d known for all these years to offer him such a gift! He truly has thoughts of taking this woman as his wife in the future, if only he was worthy. ¡°Then my fairy princess wife, I''ll be taking this spiritual medicine now!¡±. Uriel handed him the strange pulsating seed with a sigh, ¡°I''m not your wife you foolish Moon¡±. He took the seed and placed it over his mouth, ¡°Not yet, but in the future you''ll be my fairy princess wife!¡±. The seed dropped down into his mouth landing on his tongue. As he swallowed the green seed, a booming green aura enveloped the room. If someone was looking from outside, they would see a bright flashing green light pouring out of the window! ¡°Princess, truly.. I can feel great changes happening within my bo-!¡±. All of a sudden Moons veins began to tense up greatly, redness appeared on his face as it looked like he was enduring a sudden rush of pain. The green light rapidly changed colour to red as it covered the room from head to toe, even Uriel backed away slightly as she had no clue what was occurring within Moons body!. Moons hair rapidly began to grow, almost reaching down to his waist. His bones cracked and contracted, violent tearing sounds resounded in the air as Moons eyes went white as the pain reached new heights. As the red light blazed the room even more, it suddenly changed to a dark and chaotic black light. It felt like the entire room was swallowed up, and an evil raging beast had come to devour them. Moons eyes changed to a red colour as a filthy black Qi covered his body. His muscles rapidly grew and his height changed from 1.65m to 1.77m! If one could look in detail, they would be able to see that an irregular blue light was surrounding his profound veins, widening them, reaching almost an inch! The devilish black light finally cleared and Moons body was laid lifelessly on the floor, his red eyes changed back to his usual blue, yet the energy he had in his eyes was now dim. ¡°M-Moon, what''s wrong! What the hell was that medicine? What could possibly allow such changes to occur? And what was that evil Qi surrounding his body..? Could it be a divine medicine?¡±. The walls of the room were etched with a black, red and green Qi that lingered there even after a day. Clearly the medicine must have been something that was forbidden by the heavens, if the gods found out about such an overwhelmingly powerful medicine then tribulation lightning would strike down and devour it! A month later. Moons body was weak yet his muscles had grown considerably, making his weak body now look like a toned practitioner. The Qi in the air constantly roiled around his body for the past month, even though he was unconscious he was still absorbing Qi at an astonishing rate! Such a thing was unheard of before! Uriel had no choice but to look after him rigorously for the past month, even bathing him every few days. If Moon realised that the fairy princess Uriel had seen his naked body, even his iron sword, then surely he would awaken the seven immortals from their graves with his screams. A day later. All of a sudden, a huge burst of violent Qi was rotating around his body at an incredible rate. A thick white light surrounded his body as his whole being was enveloped in this white radiance, then suddenly a booming sound occurred! 2nd stage of the Nursery layer! After a whole month in a coma after consuming the strange Spiritual Medicine, Moon had finally awoken and even managed to enter the second stage! His eyes slowly regained the usual energetic blue, and the colour in his face transitioned back to a light crisp brown. Moon sat up, tensing his arms as he realised his muscles had grown considerably. He then felt more weight on his head, and noticed his hair had grown down to his waist! ¡°Could this have been that Spiritual medicine Uriel gave to me..?¡± Chapter 4 – A raging killing God appears Chapter 4 ¨C A raging killing God appears A new day had dawned in the small town of Wudao, birds were singing and farmers could be seen lifting heavy bags full of vegetables to and from the fields. Various children were running up and down the street, a boy the age of eight could be seen flashing a blue light around his fist. The water element! A proud mother walked alongside him, as a crowd of villagers looked in astonishment that this small town of Wudao had given birth to another elemental user. Another boy the age of twelve, although he looked to be atleast fourteen, looked over from a window at the ongoing scene. ¡°Hm, that kid got lucky. If I had an element, ha.. I''d be unstoppable, and I''d capture a dozen princesses and take them all as my wives.¡± It had been a full day after Moon had awoken and realized he had stepped into the 2nd stage of the Nursery layer. After fully regaining his strength, he decided to test out his new power in the field outside of Merry''s house. ¡°Ah, finally I''ll be able to contend with the other kids of the village. Rudans still at the 1st stage right? That means with some training I''ll be able to kick his ass.¡± Moon stood in the middle of an open field just behind Merry''s house. A large oak tree was in the middle of it, and various birds were roosted on the top. Moon stood in front of the tree and closed his eyes and began to concentrate. Feeling the Qi in the air and absorbing it is considered the most important part about training, if you can''t even do either you cannot call yourself a practitioner. All of a sudden, a slow release of Qi built up around Moons body and was being absorbed into his dantian. When he was at the 1st Stage, he could barely even notice the Qi due to his below average talent, but since he ate the strange Spiritual Medicine and advanced to the 2nd stage, he can now finally absorb it but slightly slower than those with better talent. As the Qi was being absorbed, a red green and black orb that was laying dormant in his dantian began to convulse. As the Qi began to fill it up almost half way, a three colored light suddenly shot out of his body and paralyzed him from the neck down. Suddenly, dozens of memories from another persons life were being poured endlessly into his memory. Moon could never make out what the figure looked like, but many battles played out in his head and there were countless visions of a world that seemed so different to his ''Pan Gu''. One thing that he noticed was the aura this person gave out, it was a peerless dominating aura that even those at the heaven layer couldn''t touch. He truly felt like a violent, raging killing God. Moon suddenly found himself immersed in another place, but this place was much different and he was looking through the unknown figures eyes again. The sky was black and spitting out tribulation lightning. The figure was stood atop of an enormous beast, almost twelve miles high in height and seventeen miles long. It''s entire body was black with red veins trickling across it''s body. Two gigantic horns protruded from atop of it''s head, and the tribulation lightning from the heavens constantly shot down and was absorbed into the horns like a snack. One could tell that beneath the beast was an enormous empire, almost ten thousand miles long with castles and constructs that looked to be built with technology that would make ones mind implode without the right understanding. Yet these amazing constructs looked to be in ruins and covered in a black Qi. Millions and millions of bodies were scattered across the ground. Magical beasts that looked to be in the Heaven layer were strewn apart in thousands of pieces, these once proud beasts that could tear entire continents apart had been destroyed beyond recognition. Various cultivators could be seen hovering in the air above this fallen empire, staring at the figure atop the enormous beast. Each one of them was covered in an immense Qi which could turn simple cultivators of the Nursery layer into dust. A man covered from head to toe in a violet robe with various golden accessories hanging from his body raised his golden meter long sword. The sword contained dazzling patterns and emitted a fierce spiritual power, at a glance one could tell that this sword possessed sentience and was a Divine sword. Like spiritual medicines, weapons were also ranked the same way. Earth weapons were simple weapons which were boosted with an internal Qi of an elemental type, for example an axe with the Ice element. Heavenly weapons could contain elements and also various skills which could only be used with that weapon. The mighty cultivator from the Tensho continent, Haowan, possessed the mighty ''Twin Element Razorback Longsword''. This sword contained a heavenly skill inside, called ''True Fire & Water Reborn''. This skill combined the elements Fire and Water to fuse as one and turn into a mighty dragon which would rain down from the skies and wash away and burn anything it encountered. The final type of weapons were Divine weapons. These contained spirits, possibly past cultivators who didn''t wish to die and fused their very existence with their weapon. Weapons with a spirit were extremely powerful, and would also grow with their user. They contained multiple elements and also had a whole array of skills stored inside them. The man wearing the violet robe holding the Divine sword yelled out fiercely to the figure atop of the beast, his black hair flailing around wildly as his Qi was bursting out from his body at an astonishing rate. ¡°OLD WHITE! Don''t you think you''ve done enough? How much more bloodshed do you want to cause?! You''ve already wiped out my entire Zen empire, isn''t that enough? Five billion people have died today!¡±. The cultivators next to him nodded in agreement, their clothes rugged, clearly they had all been badly affected and had been lucky to survive the past battle which wiped out such an astonishing number of people. You might be reading a pirated copy. Look for the official release to support the author. Moon was still looking through the eyes of this figure supposedly named ''Old White'', and couldn''t make out any of his details except for his glowing white hair which reached down all the way to his feet. The man was holding an exceptionally large great sword which was covered in cracks and strange glowing inscriptions. A few words were engraved on the hilt, ''Calamity God Hand''. Even though it seemed damaged, it''s sharpness and fierceness seemed unparalleled. Just one slash from this sword would wipe out an empire! The figure finally opened his mouth, letting out a booming voice that shook every mountain and ocean for a thousand miles. His voice contained pure power, and the tribulation lightning above stopped raining down as violently, seemingly afraid of the power contained in this persons voice. ¡°One thousand years have passed since the murder of my clan. My ten sons, my five daughters, my wife and my clansmen. All annihilated by you and your Zen empires men. You say that five billion people have died today? What about when you wiped out all ten billion of my clan? I''ll not rest until I wipe out every last one of you Zen traitors who stole everything from me.¡± An enormous black light that seemed like it contained every negative feeling in the universe began to violently rotate around the enormous cracked sword. A ghostly image of a horde of two mile long emperor black dragons were hovering in the air above the sword, their roars were so dominating and fierce that the cultivators stood before ''Old White'' began to feel like they would go insane and flee. Yet they knew clearly they had no way of retreating as this was a true life or death battle. All of a sudden,a towering golden light shot up into the sky and filled the clouds with thousands of ancient inscriptions. This was coming from the violet robed figure, whose Divine weapon had come to face against the enormous cracked heavy sword and it''s black dragons. ¡°Today one of us will leave this battlefield alive, and it will not be you! Grand Vexation Overworld Sealing technique!¡±. The ancient inscriptions in the sky trans-verged and formed into one enormous golden word, ¡°SEAL¡±. The word emitted a divine and holy light that hovered above the white haired man and looked as if it wanted to devour the foul black Qi that was covering the ground as far as the eye could see. The huge sword in Old White''s hand swung down with an enormous pressure which rushed towards the cultivators in the sky. The ones without enough strength could only watch as their existence dissolved and their souls were crushed, never to be reborn again. The mighty black dragons in the sky charged against the divine sealing skill. An enormous bang resounded out as a mix of black and golden Qi echoed towards the hovering cultivators and wiped them all out except for the violet robed man. ¡°I''ll grant you a fate worse than death Old White! Your fate is sealed, you''ll be forever imprisoned in a lesser mortal realm with no escape!¡±, yelled the Violet robed figure, the features on his face contracted as he showed a look of arrogance. The overlords of the sky, the mighty black dragons from Old White couldn''t take the overbearing pressure coming from the Grand Vexation Overworld Seal, and shattered back into their corporeal forms. He let out a sigh, ¡°Old friends...¡±. The golden seal suddenly transformed into a whirlpool of colors, twisting together to form a huge vortex. It violently came bearing down upon Old White, slamming him and his magical beast down to the ground. The enormous seventeen mile long beast was crushed instantly, unable to take the pressure from the seal as it was sucked inside the whirlpool. Old White let out a vicious shout, his face looked as if it held every grudge in the universe. ¡°Curse all of your living descendants and your dead ancestors! If I ever return to this realm, it shall burn to the ground and it will all be because of you!¡±. The violent twisting vortex enveloped Old White, sucking him inside it. As he disappeared, the black Qi that was covering the ground for thousands of miles gradually began to disappear with him. Moon finally opened his eyes. Many hours had passed and it was now night time and the tri-colored light that shot out of his body before was absorbed back into his dantian. His skin had gone from a healthy brown to a pale white and a pool of sweat converged around his feet. As he stood up, his body was continuously shaking as he replayed the scene over and over again in his head. ¡°What kind of monsters were they? And that figure named ''Old White''.. what happened to him after he was sucked into that huge vortex?¡±. He felt like he just witnessed a fight that occurred thousands of years ago between a pair of peerless killing immortals! This mysterious Spiritual Medicine he swallowed must have been the reason, and as for the three colored seed that was stored inside his dantian.. It all seemed like it connected to that reaper of death, Old White! The memories from this persons life could never stop replaying in his head, and the desire to achieve this kind of strength was still flickering powerfully in his mind! He dreamt that one day, he too would be able to achieve the insane strength of that violent killing god. Chapter 5 – Lonely Ghost Finger Authors note: Special thanks to WandererAsura for helping me out with several ideas, it''s really appreciated. Chapter 5 ¨C Lonely Ghost Finger Within Merry''s house. Moon sat there besides the window, staring out into the vast nothingness of the night. A small breeze of Qi constantly circled around him, being absorbed into his dantian at a rapid speed. The three colored orb inside of him was like a vacuum, sucking up all of the Qi in the atmosphere that it could find! At close observation, one could see that the dantian was almost three quarters full, just a few more hours of training and he could possibly make a breakthrough into the third stage of the Nursery layer. ¡°Moon, come downstairs! Your food is ready!¡±. A delightful smell came from down below, making his stomach quench. It''d been at least a day since he last ate, and right now he felt like he could consume an entire Gluttonous Fire Hound! Galloping down the stairs, Moon stopped his training and dashed towards the vibrant fragrance. Uriel and Merry were sat down together around the table where various delicious assortments of food had been laid out. In the middle was a large plate that had the thigh of some sort of magical beast, it''s smell was hard to describe. ¡°Looking at that huge chunk of meat, Moon? I caught that earlier today near the woods, it''s a second nursery stage Spiteful Boar.¡± ¡°You managed to kill that thing? Truly, my fairy princess is becoming more manly with every passing day!¡± chuckled Moon, his face had an air of cheekiness and respect. To kill a magical beast at the second stage whilst at the third was still a difficult task, and it was easy to lose your life if you weren''t careful. ¡°Enough fooling around youngsters, the foods going cold! Eat up before I eat it all myself..¡± said Merry, who was shoveling the food into her mouth at a rapid pace. Seeing the food being taken away right in front of him, Moon quickly sat down and began to stuff himself til his belly nearly exploded. With a satisfied face and a belly popping out almost an entire foot, Moon let out a loud burp. ¡°Disgusting boy.¡± said Uriel, who was delicately wiping her mouth with a napkin with the absolute grace of a princess. After Merry had finished clearing up the plates, her face turned slightly serious as she moved to one of the bookshelves. With a clicking sound, Merry pressed down on a corner of the shelf as a secret space appeared. Dust blew out from within, and one could see that in this secret space was an old book, covered from top to bottom with spider webs and dust. Merry grabbed hold of the book, and blew onto it, blowing away most of the dust and cobwebs. She gave the pair of youths a strong look and muttered out an order to them both, ¡°Sit down and listen closely, what I''m about to give you is something that was given to me by a very old, powerful friend whom I met when I was exploring the Reiqi continent.¡± The book was placed down on the table, it gave off an ancient aura that looked like it hadn''t been opened in centuries. A small title was written on the top, ''Lonely Ghost Finger'', it was an old martial arts technique! Merry slid the book over to the two youths, Moon quickly took the book and opened the first page. ¡°M-Merry, you''re really giving us this? We can actually learn this old martial technique? Who was it who gave you this?¡±. His head was full of questions, it has to be said that martial arts techniques are rarely found or given out. Clans would rarely ever pass techniques to outsiders as this would often lead to their clan being abused and internal affairs would arise. Considering that there was no clan name written on the book, it had to have been written by a rogue cultivator who wasn''t part of a clan. Martial arts techniques all fall into the cultivation layers. For example, there can be Nursery layer techniques, Descendant techniques, Rebirth techniques, Heaven techniques, Half-Immortal and Immortal techniques. The higher level layer the technique was, the harder it was to train in. They would also be incredibly harder to acquire and the costs would be much more, a medium Rebirth technique could be sold for at least 10,000 gold. On the first page of ''Lonely Ghost Finger'', it was written that it was a high Descendant technique. This was only a step away from the Rebirth layer! This proved that the strength of this technique was incredibly high, but it would also be extremely difficult to practice in. The opening paragraph of the book read, ''One path of loneliness, one finger to pave away the darkness, devour the light and pierce the soul of your enemies! To practice in the ''Lonely Ghost Finger'' requires a deep understanding of the true meaning of loneliness and the feeling of being alone in the world. Only those who have this trait can become masters of this art.¡± Moon and Uriel glanced at each other and both had faces of recognition, as if they understood that they were both able to practice this technique.. Due to their circumstances of being abandoned by their parents and left alone in the town of Wudao, they grew up harboring great feelings of loss and a sense of loneliness. Although this was unfortunate, this would greatly enhance the power of this technique which was based on negative energy. ¡°I want you both to begin training in this technique immediately, no delays, you hear me? With this, I''m sure you both can become one of the strongest existences in Wudao. Those kids messing around with you, Rudan and his petty gang, won''t be able to do anything if you practice this art. But no killing, understand?¡±. Moons face lit up, just the thought of being able to take revenge on Rudan was already enough for him to want to indulge himself diligently in the training of this new martial technique! ¡°I understand grandma Merry! Thank you for this gift!¡±. With the book in his hand he dashed to the front door of the house, squeezed on the creaking door handle and ran to the training field behind the house. This story has been stolen from Royal Road. If you read it on Amazon, please report it Uriel let out a sigh, ¡°Ha.. It looks like he''s extremely focused on learning this technique. Grandma Merry, did you ever practice this technique?¡± asked Uriel with a concerned face. ¡°No, my dear. I truly never felt the sense of loneliness that was required to learn this technique. You must understand, the creator of this technique must have been someone who had truly lost everything and was all alone in the world. The negative energy needed to create a technique like this is really unimaginable.¡± Meanwhile at the field behind Merry''s house. Moon was stood in the field. The book was opened onto the first page which read ''First stage of the Ghost Finger'', a gathering of Qi was focused on his middle finger. ¡°So, to start training this technique it states that I have to gather the negative mental energy inside me. I need to focus on the times when I''ve experienced true loneliness and a sense of regret.. and then once in this state, I channel all of these emotions into my dantian and convert it to some kind of dark Qi.¡± Moon shut his eyes, and immersed himself within his memories.. A small boy who was aged eight years old sat by an old Boon tree, the cracks and lines showed that it was at least an eight hundred year old tree. In the boys hand was a small toy bear, covered with rips and holes, yet it looked like he had a deep affection for it. The boy looked off into the distant plains, a face filled with a lonesome look covered him, as if he was truly the only one left in the world. Shouting could be heard coming from the south.. A group of boys appeared to be walking toward the tree, the leader had a red haired mane with a hawk shaped nose. It was Rudan! A cruel look appeared as he walked up to the black haired child with a scar on the left side of his face, this was Moon! ¡°Hey brat, where are your parents at? Haha I forgot, you don''t have any! Wanna know what my dad gave me this week? The horn of a third stage Raging Rhinoceros beast!¡±. The other boys next to him laughed in unison, pointing fingers and uttering slurs at the boy beside the tree. Rudan glanced at the bear in Moons arms, his only friend he had in the village beside Uriel. ¡°What''s that tattered old thing you have on you? Give it here!¡±. Moon looked up and shouted back at the vile child who had dared to take his precious friend away from him, ¡°No! You can''t have it, it''s mine!¡±. ¡°Cut the shit, hold him down guys and pass me that damned bear¡± he ordered. Rudans underlings dashed over and pushed Moon to the ground, the bear still clutched tightly in his arms. Kicks and punches were being hammered down on his body, yet he still wouldn''t give up. Only when a small blade entered his right arm did he let go of the bear, ¡°AAAAHH~~~!¡±. He let out a scream as blood trickled down his arm, one of the boys grabbed the bear and threw it over to Rudan. ¡°Hah, this little old bear is in such a bad state, I may aswell add a few more holes to it.¡± He grinned, an air of arrogance was on his face as the other boys laughed as Rudan began to tear the bear into pieces, it''s arms and legs flying onto the floor as it was utterly destroyed. ¡°RUDAN!~~¡± Negative energy was swarming all around Moon, the memory of him as a child had created such a thick black Qi around his dantian that it felt it could burst at any second. All of a sudden, an extremely dark Qi started to flow to every place in his body, Moon felt like his muscles were about to reach their limit and his profound veins were stretching at an abnormal rate. The black Qi was continuously ripping apart his insides and regrowing them anew, transcending his limits nonstop! All of a sudden, the black Qi convulsed into one area around his dantian, and then flowed directly to his right hand, all the way to his middle finger! He had actually managed to achieve a breakthrough to the first stage of the ''Lonely Ghost Finger''. The foul negative Qi glowed and twisted around his finger, if one could look closely it seemed like a gathering of small ghosts were rotating around it restlessly. PIERCE! Moon harnessed the Qi around his finger and shot it towards the old Boon tree in the centre of the field. It pierced into the tree, creating a hole that landed directly into the middle. If this tree had a soul, then it would have been completely eradicated by this attack. He withdrew his finger, and within the hole in the tree was a lingering black Qi which seemed to suck the life from anything near it. He had truly been successful in using the Lonely Ghost Finger, and on his first try! If the founder of this technique could have witnessed this scene, he would have awoken the seven immortals with his screams. Within Moons dantian, the Qi that was absorbed before had reached a climax. The energy around it was like a bubbling cauldron, ready to explode at any second. Breakthrough! After executing the Lonely Ghost Finger technique, he had actually broken through to the third stage of the Nursery layer. Moon could feel the changes within his body that came with the strength of the third stage, if before he could only lift a boulder that weighed 200 pounds, he could now lift one that weighed 400! His strength was excelling by leaps and bounds. He also tested out his speed, it had a clear increase as every three steps was now like one. His body''s hardiness had also increased, it felt like his skin was made of a tough wood. The biggest difference between the second and third stage of the Nursery layer, was that one could actually visualize the changes that were occurring within ones body, including the profound veins and the dantian! Moon visualized his profound veins, and followed them up to where his central dantian laid dormant. ¡°Eh? What''s that strange three colored orb!?¡±. Chapter 6 - Taking back his pride! Chapter 6 - Taking back his pride! Moon concentrated and dived into his spiritual conscience where his dantian resided. That strange three colored orb was rotating right in the centre. It''s three colors, red, green and an evil looking black were all glowing brightly. It seemed as if each color had a life of it''s own, and each one wanted to break out and be absorbed into Moons body. ¡°This strange colored orb, it''s obviously from that three colored seed that was given to me by Uriel.. I can sense a great power from it, something I can''t even begin to comprehend! What kind of cultivation do I need to unlock its power?¡±. Without daydreaming any longer, Moon continued to train his Lonely Ghost Finger by using the Boon tree as his practice target. Five hours later, darkness had set in and the magical owl beasts were singing a song of the night. The old Boon tree in the field which had been there for over eight hundred years, was currently a mess of holes the size of two conjoined fingers. A black Qi lingered in every single one of these holes, sucking the remaining life out of the tree. ¡°It''s only been a day yet I''ve already advanced so far with the Lonely Ghost Finger technique, maybe soon I can take on the second stage!¡± The second stage of the Lonely Ghost Finger was much more difficult to comprehend than the first stage. It didn''t involve just using negative energy that came from loneliness, but something much more sinister. The second stage needed the user to experience the loss of someone whom they truly love! In his life, the only person who he could truly say he loved was Uriel, but his love was unrequited and was more sisterly. There are a total of three stages to the Lonely Ghost Finger, but Moon hadn''t even dared to look at the third. After all, what could be worse than losing someone they loved? A gorgeous smelling perfume filled the air, and a green eyed silver haired beauty suddenly appeared behind Moon. ¡°So, boy, you managed to gain such control over that technique in such a short time? Your elder sister is truly impressed.¡± The beautiful girl truly made Moons heart quiver, the moonlight reflected down upon her curvaceous body, making the scene before him feel like he was in a dream. ¡°Fairy princess, it''s only natural. After all, I''m going to become extremely strong one day. Strong enough that I''ll protect you and make you my wife!¡±. His face was completely serious, making Uriel blush slightly as she took the book that was laying on the floor into her hands. After taking the book, she walked away from Moon quite quickly, hiding her red face and timid eyes. She truly had no experience with boys, and when faced with his straight forward approach at making her his ''wife'' she had no idea what to do. ¡°I''ll be taking this book off you! Don''t even bother to ask for it again until I''ve managed to master the first stage. Hmph.. make me your wife, keep dreaming.¡± Her graceful silver hair waved around in the air as she stomped off. Moon stood there watching her figure depart, ¡°If I really had to lose her to gain the second stage of the Lonely Ghost Finger, I would also kill myself in the process..¡± An hour later, in Uriel and Moons room. Moon was led on the floor, absorbing the Qi in his surroundings. His dantian wasn''t even a quarter full, it would be atleast a week or even a month to reach the fourth stage depending on how fast he trained. As he was fixated on his training an idea suddenly popped in his head. ¡°Now with my strength at the third stage of the Nursery layer, I can finally give that bastard Rudan what he deserves. I bet he never thought after all these years of torture, that I''d ever have the strength to overtake him and beat him down like a dog! I''ll make him call me his grandfather!¡±. Uriel was sat on the bed diligently reading one of her books titled ''Fist of the Southern Star'', a biography based on a cultivator named Len. It was detailed that he had reached an incredibly high level of cultivation, a third stage half-immortal. His martial arts technique was incredibly difficult to learn, and it was based on pressurizing the meridians in the body and making the enemy explode from the inside! This Len truly earned his place among the strongest in the entire world of Pan-Gu, not many could contend against such a strong technique. ¡°Fairy Princess sis, I''ve decided that now is the time for me to make Rudan suffer for all these years of abuse.¡± She looked back at him with a hint of surprise, a year ago, she would have never expected to hear those words come out of the frail little Moon she knew. But merely in a weeks time after consuming that three colored seed, his entire person had changed entirely. He was taller, stronger and looked more like a man! Even though he was only thirteen years old this year, his figure and aura was like a sixteen year olds. Uriel''s heart tensed up but only for a second, quickly throwing away this strange feeling to the side. How could she have feelings for Moon who was like her little brother? ¡°If you''re serious, then you have to be careful of his brother Beriel. You must be prepared for the recuperation, that''s why I think you should wait! His brother is already at the fourth stage, almost nearing the fifth! If he gets involved, then there''s no way you can fight back and it''ll just cause even more tension between you both. Listen to me carefully Moon, with maybe a month or two more you might be able to reach the fourth layer, then you could stand a chance.¡± The beautiful fairies face had a look of serious concern, clearly she didn''t want her precious little brother to go out and be beaten down like a dog by this Beriel. Yet the look on Moons face contained an unshakable will of determination! This wasn''t a simple fight but much more, it was to regain his pride which had been destroyed time and time again by Rudan and those bullies! If he was to become a mighty cultivator, his first step was to recover his pride! ¡°Beautiful wife of mine, thank you for the concern, but this lost pride must be taken back! I can''t sit around now that I have the strength. A month to wait til I''m at the fourth layer? I just can''t! By the will of the heavens, tomorrow Rudan will be on his knees, begging me to be his grandfather!¡±. Love what you''re reading? Discover and support the author on the platform they originally published on. Morning. A rooster could be heard crowing loudly, farmers were barreling large crates full of vegetables in the fields and drunkards could be seen stumbling across the street after a hard night of drinking. Moon was stood at the foot of Uriels bed, fully dressed with a look of sheer determination on his face. It was now or never, today he would crush Rudan and his gang or he would die trying. ¡°Fairy sis, I''m going now.¡± ¡°En, I understand that I cannot persuade you to reconsider. So.. good luck.¡± she said with a face full of concern, yet a new found respect was also found for him. She was proud to have him as her little brother. Moon was walking again down the desolate streets of Wudao town, his long black hair hung over the left side of his face which covered his scar. After leaving Merry''s house, he walked past various shops and farm houses which contained the many inhabitants of the town. They all had a country air about them, as if the country was engraved into their very bones. After walking for several minutes, he arrived at the usual place where Rudan and his gang hung out. An abandoned farmhouse, probably left behind by the previous owners who either died or fled Wudao town due to unforeseen consequences. The building was rather damaged and looked as if it could collapse at any time, windows were smashed and various graffiti could be seen on the walls. Moon walked up to the entrance of the farm house, concentrating Qi around his leg as he raised it up and kicked down the door sending it almost two meters away. ¡°W-Who the fuck was that? Moon? The hell are you doing here you little brat, come to ask your grandfather for a beating?¡±, the red haired Rudan would never expect that the kid who he was to used to tossing around would actually personally come to visit him! He was overjoyed! ¡°Rudan, this time it''s going to be different. You''re going to get on your knees and beg for forgiveness in ten seconds, or everyone here is going to be crippled!¡±. Moons face was incredibly fierce, completely different to how frail and weak he was before. Since taking the three colored seed, he was truly a new person. An underling next to Rudan let out a laugh, ¡°Cripple us? What kind of nonsense are you talking about? You couldn''t even cripple yourself you''re so weak!¡±. The rest of the underlings laughed in unison, they had no idea that right now Moon was at the third stage of the nursery layer. ¡°That''s right, brat! Cripple us! What a joke.. You''ve truly angered me today, I was going to play with you for a bit longer, but seeing as you''re already tired of living then we''ll make today the last time we have fun together! Boys, grab him!¡±. The four underlings next to Rudan ran at Moon, one with green hair had a small iron knife held in his right hand which he aimed at Moons neck as he charged forward. Suddenly a dark, baleful Qi transversed around his hand. The Qi contained many different emotions, hatred, regret, loss and loneliness! This black Qi then solidified around his middle finger, a corporeal image of ghosts could be seen rotating around it. Lonely Ghost Finger! As the Qi was only on his middle finger, the underlings who were running at him didn''t even notice as they rushed towards him in an attempt to topple him to the floor. PIERCE! His middle finger rushed forward, the unforgiving Qi allowed his finger to pierce directly into the green haired underlings dantian, crippling him for the rest of his life. He would never be able to raise his fist again! He swiftly utilized the Qi and forced it into his legs, his speed increased threefold as he ruthlessly pierced his finger into one, two, three youths dantians! The underlings were laid on the floor, unable to stand up as a look of horror and regret covered their faces. All four underlings had been crippled, just as he said! Rudan stood there trembling with a look of anger and fear. ¡°H-How? How the fuck did he do that?!¡±, he then looked towards the vicous black Qi around Moons finger. ¡°Qi, and such an evil one too! What kind of forbidden martial technique did you learn? What stage did you reach?!¡±. ¡°The third stage! And this technique is called Lonely Ghost Finger!¡±. A look of horror emerged on Rudans face, but it was too late. Moon slowly began to walk towards him, each step made his heart beat faster as the fragile Moon he once knew now looked like a violent killing god... Seven steps, and he was stood in front of the trembling Rudan. Such a sight was something he will never forget, this was what it meant to be strong! The strong look down on the weak, and the weak look up to the strong! ¡°W-Wait, I''m sorry! I''m sorry about everything, I was wrong! I''ll give you gold, anything, I''ll be your underling!¡±. A small pool of yellow liquid began to drip down his leg, he didn''t even dare to fight back. His fire element was nowhere near as oppressive as this dark martial technique Moon was using. ¡°It''s too late, eight years I''ve been suffering thanks to you! My pride had almost vanished until I found this new strength, and now I''m taking back what''s mine! My pride!¡±. He shot his finger towards Rudans chest, it pierced straight into it and landed right in the middle of his dantian, dissolving it into a liquid substance. The black Qi lingered in his chest before being absorbed again by Moon. He had finally done it! His revenge went better than he expected and this feeling was one he would never forget in his entire lifetime. Rudans face was full of tears, still unable to comprehend what had just happened. The only thing he could do was lay there, as he didn''t even have the strength to stand up. ¡°You, you.. what have you done? You bastard! My brother will kill you for this, you bastard! He''ll do more than cripple your cultivation, he''ll torture you and murder everyone you know! You''ll regret this you bas-¡± - A strong punch landed on Rudans face, multiple teeth sprayed out of his mouth as he was finally unconscious. ¡°Wow.. that felt great.¡± Interlude - Thanks for reading my novel! And again, thanks for reading and stay tuned as it''s going to get a lot more exciting! Chapter 7 – Calamity Chapter 7 ¨C Calamity Moon strode out of the abandoned farmhouse, a feeble crying and shouting could be heard coming from behind him. Rudan and his underlings were laid down on the floor unable to get up, their dantians crippled. Never again would they make anyone suffer! With their cultivation destroyed, they would be the ones being pushed around. A new life where they were the ones being bullied awaited them! ¡°Just you wait you fucker, wait til my big brother finds out!¡±. ¡°M-my parents! They own half of the farmland here, they''ll oust you out the town!¡±. ¡°W-What now.. I''m going to work on the farms for the rest of my life?¡±. The crippled youths had nothing but hatred and disdain in their hearts. They even had a trace of regret, for if they left this vengeful youth alone since the start this would never have happened.. but it was far too late for that. Years too late! Several villagers heard the cries, and their interest was peaked as a small crowd ushered over to the farmhouse. Moon quietly gathered Qi around his legs and silently dashed away from the scene towards Merry''s house. A big burly farmer with a large red mustache and a completely bald head was running over towards Rudan and his underlings. ¡°My boy! What in the seven hells happened here?!¡±. A look of severe concern covered his face, his red mustache was identical in color to Rudans hair, obviously it was his father. He then looked towards the middle area near his heart where his dantian resided, a small hole with a black stain could be seen. His eyes shot towards the other four youths, noticing the same symptoms with each of their dantians. ¡°CRIPPLED! THEY''VE ALL BEEN CRIPPLED!¡±. A ferocious roar sounded out and the strength of the third stage of the nursery layer sounded out from around his body. Another man with a delicately arranged black suit strolled out from among the crowd, he wore a pair of spectacles and his face looked quite similar to a rat. His aura was of a much nobler kind. He looked towards the green haired youth that had his cultivation crippled and let out a squeal. ¡°WHAT HAPPENED TO YOU! Who would dare to cripple my only son and heir?!¡±. A face full of rage was plastered on him, his rat like features made him look as if he was about to transform into some kind of demonic rat creature as his anger continued to rise. The large burly man with the red mustache looked over to the strange looking thing wearing the black suit, ¡°Donovan, gather every single one of your farmhands immediately! We must find out who crippled our boys! I''ll find my eldest son Beriel, with his strength once we find the culprit he''ll have no chance of escape!¡±. ¡°Understood Brutus.. Once I find this bastard, I''ll pluck out his eyes, nails and then saw off his feet!¡±. The rat like man grabbed a couple of his underlings and ran off to one of the nearby farmhouses, whilst the big man Brutus picked up Rudan from the floor and heaved him over his shoulder. ¡°My boy, who did this to you?!¡±. ¡°It was Moon! He suddenly appeared and beat us down, crippling our cultivation! He even said that he wasn''t finished and that he was going to cripple more childrens cultivation!¡±, Rudan let out an invisible smirk, ¡°That''ll teach him..¡±. The crowd heard Rudans lie and went into a frenzy. ¡°WHAT?! He''s going to cripple even more children? My boys out in one of the fields right now!¡±. ¡°That kid Moon?! I''ll shit on his ancestors for this hideous act!¡±. ¡°What an evil bastard, brothers, hide your children and take out your pitchforks, we have to oust this little demon from our town!¡±. The large group of villagers charged out in a frenzy in every direction of the town, shouts and screams about a demon crippling their childrens cultivation could be heard coming from all over. The villagers believed that some sort of evil demon had invaded their town and came to steal their children away! Meanwhile in Merry''s house. A smiling boy with a scar on the left side of his face walked up to Uriel, the large grin that was plastered on his face instantly made her understand what had just occurred. ¡°So, my foolish little brother really beat down Rudan and his petty gang once and for all?¡±. The beautiful fairy princess was staring intently at Moon with a hint of concern. ¡°Yes, I have! I beat them down, and even crippled their cultivation! That was enough to settle the rage inside of me and allow my pride to return.¡± The serious looking Moon really had no idea about the repercussions which were going to occur from doing such an unwise act! The fairy princesses face was instantly covered in shock, her beautiful green eyes almost popped out of her head. All of a sudden, her knees dropped to the floor and her face went white. ¡°Moon.. you crippled their cultivation?! Do you know what you''ve done!? Our peaceful lives are over, we will have to leave the town by morning.¡± She rose back to her feet, her shock filled face disappeared and a stern serious look appeared. Stolen novel; please report. Moon let out a gasp, ¡°L-leave the town? Why must we do such a thing? It''s fine now, those bullies will never bother us again!¡±. ¡°Do you not know who their parents are?! Rudans father is the head blacksmith, and one of the underlings fathers is the head of the farmhands! Take whatever you have left here and get ready to leave by morning, once they find out what''s happened then the whole towns going to go into a frenzy..¡±. Uriel was shoveling various items at a furious pace, books and different kinds of tools were being flung off the shelves and stored away into her backpack. Moon could only stand there in the middle of the room, looking at the panicking Uriel who was rapidly packing away her belongings as if the apocalypse was about to come. ¡°What have I done.. if I knew before that their status in the village was as high as that, then I would have reconsidered crippling them!¡°, his face had a trace of regret but it was quickly tossed aside. ¡°Forget it, what''s done is done. There''s never going to be any opportunities for me at this village, if I have to leave then I have no regrets!¡±. Midnight. The town was quiet. So quiet that not even the cicadas could be heard singing. The common magical owl beasts were nowhere to be seen, their usual cooing had vanished making the town seem like it was empty. All of a sudden, bright flaming torches erupted from one side of the town. Their raging flames made the town look like some kind of evil demon had been summoned and was about to devour every living thing in sight. The flaming torches began to descend, marching towards a specific location. Merry''s house! Moon looked out from the window in Uriels room, the bright lights made his eyes flinch in the dead of the night. ¡°What on earth are thos- wait, those are torches! The villagers are coming! Uriel, wake up!¡±. Pitchforks and flaming torches were advancing towards the house. From the front, a vicious looking youth with a rouge colored head of hair was leading the mob. His eyebrows were slanted upwards, making his face seem lifeless and extremely arrogant. In his hands was a silver spear with white markings covering it, around the tip of the spear was a vibrant blue & white glow which constantly vibrated around the centre. An earthly weapon with the Ice element! Behind him were the two men from before, the frigid looking rat in the black suit and the burly fellow with the red mustache who was carrying Rudan in his arms. On one side of the mob, a seventy year old man with a tuft of grey hair and a wrinkly face was walking with a pitchfork and torch. This was Gin! His eyes were filled with a seething anger, he had come with the rest of the villagers to get rid of that parasite youth, Moon. He coughed and yelled towards the window, ¡°You''re not going to escape this time boy, the heavens have ordered you to die and you shall definitely die today!¡±. From within Uriels room, the two youths were stood at the window with a face of horror. The amount of villagers advancing towards the house was frightening, it looked as if there was around four to five hundred of them! This was a number they had no way of contending with, especially since they were being led by Beriel who was nearing the fifth stage of the Nursery layer. ¡°Moon.. This is all your fault. If you didn''t cripple their cultivation, this would never have happened..¡±. The fairy''s face was dull, it was like she''d already given up on escaping. Seeing Uriels face so empty and lifeless made Moon''s heart shake, he truly regretted his actions earlier today. If he could go back in time and change his actions, he would! ¡°LITTLE BASTARD, COME OUT RIGHT NOW!¡±. ¡°Get out here you freak!¡±. ¡°Evil demon!¡±. Ferocious shouts came from outside. The four hundred villagers were stood directly outside Merry''s house, ready to strike at any second. The front door slowly opened, and Merry stood outside with a confused face. ¡°What is going on here?! Why has the entire town decided to gather at my front door? I''m not holding a damn party you kn-¡± - THWACK! A spear suddenly flew out from the crowd, it flew towards Merry''s chest at an incredibly fast speed before landing right in the middle. A vicious youth with a lifeless expression walked towards Merry, grabbing onto the spear that was lodged into her chest and twisting it, making blood spurt out of the open wound. ¡°Old hag, we''re not here for you. We''re here for the boy, Moon.¡± As he pulled out the spear, a layer of ice covered Merry from head to toe, freezing her completely. He lifted up his right hand and tapped her skull with one of his fingers, making the statue topple. As it slowly fell, one would notice that a look of shock was on the frozen face of Merry, she never anticipated that she would have been sneak attacked! The statue hit the floor with a bang and shattered instantly. Merry had died! Chapter 8 – Retribution from the Sky Chapter 8 ¨C Retribution from the Sky A fierce tension filled the air. A sense of blood lust was exploding from within the villagers who witnessed that savage youth turn Merry into ice and shatter her body into a million pieces. Not even a single piece of her body remained, it was nothing but dust! Although Merry was at the seventh stage, old age had greatly affected her meridians and profound veins. She no longer had the strength to contend with this violent youth who seemed to have the strength of the fourth stage, possibly the fifth. Plus he had an Earthly weapon, this allowed him to compete with those a few stages higher! The fairy princess whom was looking out from the window had witnessed the frightening scene. Those delicate eyes of hers were twinkling under the moonlit sky, as her fresh tears slowly began to pour down onto her crimson cheeks. ¡°Merry... No! It''s all over...¡±. Uriels tears solidified on her face as the Qi of the fourth stage of the Nursery layer exploded out from her body. Moon grabbed hold of her shoulders which were as soft as silk, pushing her light body to the floor. ¡°No you can''t fight back! There''s nothing you can do now, she''s dead, and it''s all my fault. I''m so sorry my princess, I''ll take responsibility for what I''ve done. It''s not your fault..¡± The delicate silver haired beauty curled up into a ball on the floor, tears kept pouring out of her like a pearly waterfall. She looked up at Moon who was standing over her, his face covered in guilt. ¡°M-Moon, you can''t.. If you go out there then you''ll suffer an even worse fate than Merry. They''ll torture you and even more!¡±. Uriel pulled out a small blade from her backpack, holding it up in the air. It''s patterns were intricate and the markings on it seemed to be masterfully crafted. Moon thought that this weapon was something extremely strong and she was offering it to him to fight the mob with, but what his fairy princess said next made his heart shudder. ¡°We can end it quickly.. If they catch you then the pain you''ll experience will be horrific. We can use this knife and end it ourselves in an instant.¡± Her eyes had turned a pale white, the look on her face was as if she had lost all reason and her sanity had dropped. The current fairy princess had become a frail shell of her old self, her usual energy and stubborn attitude had vanished due to their current miserable situation. She would rather die than lose her younger brother. After all, he is the only person she has left in this world she cares for! Moon grabbed the blade from her, throwing it to the floor as it pierced into the ground. ¡°Uriel, have you gone mad?! This isn''t your problem, it''s mine. I''ll hand myself in and everything will be over, this has nothing to with you, understand?! I don''t care if I have to receive torture, I''d rather experience the worst suffering in the world than see you die in front of me!¡±. Tears also dripped from Moon''s eyes, his face filled with thousands of mixed emotions. As one of the tears fell onto the scar on the left side of his face, it glowed slightly, but only for a second. Uriel clasped onto Moons hand, pulling herself up as she embraced him. The fairy''s delicate hands grabbed onto Moons shoulders as she moved her face directly in front of his. Her peerless looks which would make empires fall made Moon completely forget about the hundreds of villagers outside that were out for his blood, the only thing that remained in this world was that beautiful fairy. ¡°Does this mean you''re finally willing to become my wife?¡±, Moon joked whilst wiping a tear from his face. The beautiful fairy looked him in the eyes, her face had a complex look full of emotions. ¡°Moon, you''re a fool!¡± Before she could say anymore, his arms were around her. She yet again felt the same helplessness from before, the surging tide of warmth that made her body go limp. The handsome face of Moon was soon blurred and drowned to nothingness. His hand placed on her delicate silver hair, he kissed her, slowly at first, and then the intensity gradually increased as Uriels resistance faltered. He had finally willed his fairy princess into a kiss, and a fierce one at that. His mouth, so insistent that it wouldn''t dare leave hers, sent wild tremors along her body which made her feel feint. ¡°Was this how a kiss felt?¡±, she thought. Never would she have expected it to be this intense. ¡°S-Stop, I can''t.. I''m getting dizzy¡±, she whispered, trying to turn her head away from his, but it was all useless. He pressed her head back hard against his face, his tongue entering her mouth as she dizzily glimpsed at his face. His eyes were wide and ferocious, her whole being was filled with new emotions she''d never experienced before, and the thought that she may never experience them again terrified her. Finally his face unchained from hers, they stood together with their arms entwined, watching out the window as the flaming torches blew in the wind. Moon turned to look at her once more. That hair, so fine and silver, and those eyes. Each pupil seemed as if it told a thousand stories. He himself knew that this was their first and final kiss, and he treasured it deep in his soul. It would be something he would take with him to the afterlife, for he would tell stories to the gods of how beautiful his silver haired princess had been. The tale has been illicitly lifted; should you spot it on Amazon, report the violation. His arms left her warm embrace, it felt like he had the world in his arms and then he just let it go. It was a terrible feeling to describe, and something which he hoped to never experience again in his next life. Just as his arms left hers, he noticed that there was a small scar, with the exact same shape as his just above her breast. What could this mean? Was it a coincidence? It was too late to figure it out. ¡°I''m going now.¡±, he said. As he walked down to the stairs, he kept looking back towards her. That sense of longing, the feeling that he finally had her and he had to let her go was killing him inside. ¡°I love you Moon.¡± said the fairy princess, but it was too late. Moon had already left and had reached the front door of the house. Outside, the large crowd of villagers holding their pitchforks and torches were growing even more violent. Their shouting and screaming was increasing by the second, they wanted to see blood! ¡°Come out you demon!¡± ¡°GIVE ME BACK MY CHILDS FUTURE!¡± ¡°Kill him, burn down the house!¡±. Moon walked to the front door of the house. A look of regret filled his face, he truly regretted what he did to those four. He understood now that acting without thinking could only lead to misery. One bad choice had gotten Merry killed, and had also ruined his chances of being with his fairy princess! ¡°So, you''ve come, little demon¡±. That same sadistic looking youth from before stood outside muttered. A deep loathing was seen on his face, that lifeless aura he gave out made him seem as if he wouldn''t hesitate to butcher an entire family without giving a second thought. ¡°I''m here. It''s me you want, isn''t it? It was me who destroyed Rudans cultivation. Take me and leave Uriel alone.¡± ¡°It''s not that easy, you shit. I''m Beriel, and you crippled my brothers cultivation. I think it''s fair that she suffers the same punishment as you, right?¡±, he let out an arrogant laugh. A twisted look was on his face, almost like he was enjoying the current scene in front of him. ¡°That girl was harboring a demon, so she must be one too!¡±. A loud yelling came from a member of the mob, belonging to a seventy year old man with a grey tuft of hair on his head. It was Gin, and in his hand was a flaming torch. ¡°Since she''s a demon too she''ll obviously have to die with you! May the heavens have mercy on her in her next life!¡±. The old fool Gin tossed that torch in his hand towards the house, landing on the roof and instantly setting it ablaze. ¡°No! Uriel!¡±, he looked up towards the window where she was currently standing, looking down at him with a heartfelt look as if she was ready to die with him. ¡°You bastard!¡± he yelled towards Gin. Just as Moon bursted out his strength of the third stage of the Nursery layer, that lifeless looking Beriel activated his strength. The fifth stage, he was actually at the fifth stage! He thrusted the spear down into Moons leg, he simply didn''t have enough time to react as it pierced half way in and struck directly against his bone, almost snapping it. ¡°AAAA~~!¡±, he fell to the floor, unable to get up as he watched the flames increasing by the second. Uriel only stood there and watched as the flames entered her room, her bed cover which had those beautifully majestic foreign patterns was engulfed in roaring flames. Her book shelf which had tales of incredibly powerful cultivators, stories of forbidden romance between princesses and knights, all gone in seconds. She looked down once more at Moon, when suddenly that scar above her breast began to glow. It''s shape was the same as his and even the same size, yet she felt like she''d never noticed it before. When did this get here? I had this scar all along? Then all of a sudden, a divine white light that contained such intense pressure shot down from the heavens. The clouds above began to open, and if one looked closely they would see a hand in the clouds that was almost a thousand miles long and a hundred miles wide reaching down. It''s light was so bright that if one looked at it their eyes would be temporarily blinded, yet Uriel seemed to be totally unaffected. This was because this divine light from the heavens was focused on her! That immense hand that was shooting down from the sky was now meters away from the house, it swept away the rooftop and clasped Uriel in it''s hand with a delicate grab. Uriels face was staring with great longing towards Moon, ¡°Moon, help me!¡±. Chapter 9 – The heavens are crying Chapter 9 ¨C The heavens are crying The hand that shot down from the heavens in an instant had swallowed her whole into that crack in the clouds, without even giving Moon a chance to say anything back. His fairy had been taken, taken by the heavens! Moments ago he thought the flames were going to take her life, never would he have imagined some divine being from the sky would grab her and take her away! The villagers were stood in a trance, many were flailing around on the floor as their eyes were temporarily blinded. Only those who had cultivated to the third stage had seen the hand take Uriel to the skies. All of a sudden, tribulation lightning began to shoot down upon the town! Houses were blown up in an instant, leaving nothing but craters. As the lightning fired down upon the village, the black nothingness of night was engulfed in a bloody red. The clouds turned from their usual white to a dark rouge, as it started to rain. What was pouring down was not water though, but blood. Blood was showering down from the heavens! The heavens were crying blood! As the villagers began to regain their vision, a villager that had a soaked head of hair that was thick with blood pointed up to that crack in the clouds where the hand had been. ¡°LOOK! There''s movement in the clouds! There''s something flying towards the village!¡±. All of the villagers stared up towards the sky, various shadows were leaping around in the crack where that enormous divine hand had been. Then all of a sudden they descended down upon the village. Enormous flying magical beasts! The beasts wings were almost ten meters long, and their length reached around fifteen meters. Their scales were entirely black, and underneath the beast were no legs or arms, but instead there were thousands of thick teeth and one big gaping hole underneath it which made it look like one huge mouth. The heads of these beasts were hard to comprehend, it was almost like a dragons yet there were dozens of eyes where it''s one eye was supposed to be. It''s horns weren''t horns, but instead tendrils which were riddled with teeth and were wiggling about. The aura they gave off was incredibly strong, that pressurizing Qi made these beasts seem as if they were atleast at the Rebirth layer. The villagers didn''t even have time to react, the flying magical beasts rained down upon them. A strange vacuum like pressure came from their gaping mouths, villagers left and right were sucked in and were being skewered into a thousand pieces! That devious trio from before, that burly man Brutus who was currently carrying Rudan and the suit wearing rat Donovan, could be seen shoving people out of their way as they tried to dash away into the trees. One of the beasts flew down, it''s head lowered as one of it''s tendril horns latched onto the rat Donovan and flew back up into the sky. Seconds later a skeleton fell down from above, there was nothing left of him! Brutus who was carrying Rudan, still couldn''t believe what was happening. Earlier today he was carrying out simple blacksmithing tasks when all of a sudden in a single day, his son was crippled, a divine hand from the heavens carried off a princess and now some evil flying beasts were attacking his town! It was like one big nightmare which he would never wake up from. As he dashed into the woods, he looked back to see the town in a sea of fire and lightning. Those flying beasts were picking up villagers left right and center and were eating them alive with those tens of thousands of teeth in its maws. He took one last glance and dashed into the depth of the forest, Brutus and his son Rudan had actually managed to escape with their lives, truly the heavens were unfair! Meanwhile outside of Merry''s burnt down house, Moon was stood on one knee with blood continuously trickling down the wound in his leg. The three colored orb within his dantian was rapidly rotating, with the green part of the orb sending out streams of endless Qi to where he was pierced. The wound began to heal at an incredible rate, blood had already stopped coming out and the area where his bone was chipped had gone back to it''s previous healthy state. ¡°What''s this strange green Qi healing my leg? It''s healing speed is godly, this should have taken atleast a month to heal..¡± Moon heard an old mans shouting from his right, he turned to look over and saw old Gin in the mouth of one of the flying beasts. One of his legs was dangling off as the beast tore it off and swallowed it whole. ¡°AAAA~~! Bastard beast!¡± yelled Gin, as the beast swallowed the rest of his body whole. If you discover this tale on Amazon, be aware that it has been stolen. Please report the violation. ¡°Serves the old bastard right..¡± thought Moon. WHAP! A strong bang sounded out as Moon toppled to the ground, Beriel stood over him with that ice element silver spear in his hand. A chill brushed over Moon as he quickly used his Qi to dispel the lingering ice Qi. ¡°If I''m going to die to these weird beasts today, then I''m definitely taking you with me, demon brat.¡± Beriel''s eyes had gone totally blood shot, they even had a slither of insanity to them. Due to all the bloodshed and chaos, that dead eyed bastard had gone insane. Moon hastily exploded out his Qi of the third stage, quickly getting to his feet and dashing off towards that old field where he used to train. ¡°Too slow, you brat! Forgetting that I''m at the fifth stage?!¡±. Beriel gave chace, if Moons speed was fast, then Beriels speed could be compared to a Heavenly Sun leopard. The difference of two stages was too much and he was already just behind Moon. He held his ice spear in his palm, ready to throw it towards Moon, when all of a sudden one of the enormous flying beasts swept down and tore off his arm with a single bite! The silver spear was eaten along with his arm! ¡°FUCK! My arm! Give it back you filth!¡±, he then madly began to chase after the beast which took his arm but was quickly stopped as yet another beast dove down and this time sucked his body into the air, feeding him into that titanic gaping mouth. ¡°Aaaahhh~~!!!¡±. His screams were quickly cut off as Beriel had been eaten alive by one of the beasts! A fifth stage cultivator, killed in a split second! Moon looked at the scene which happened within the space of a few breaths and sighed in relief, but only for a moment as another beast was diving down straight towards him! With little time to react, he utilized his Qi and sent it towards his legs as he jumped four meters into the air, landing right on top of the flying beast! He hastily grabbed onto one of it''s wings as the beast let out furious roars and did a vertical dive into the skies. It was a fight of endurance, he was practically using all his strength of the third stage to hold on with all he could! The beast went higher and higher into the sky, going so high it had entered the clouds. The sky was pitch black past this point, and all he could hear were the deafening roars of some dark magical beasts which shouts could awaken the heavens. As the beast flew ever higher, the pitch black sky turned into one that was completely red. Moon finally understood where those deafening roars were coming from. Around Moon were thousands upon thousands of enormous magical beasts, the lowest ranked one seemed to be at the Descendant stage. Yet the auras of some of these beasts were unfathomable, one beast which was literally over a thousand miles long had such an overbearing aura, that it could possibly be in the immortal stage. Immortal beasts were made from legends, yet there were hundreds of them surrounding him in the skies! An old folk story once said that just beneath the tip of the heavens, monstrously strong divine beasts guarded it to test the strength of those who wished to enter the heavens. But if this was just an old folk story, what were these unfathomably strong beasts before him? "Oh..? What do we have here?" A massive pressure locked onto Moon and the beast he was riding. A figure that was only around five meters in size which faintly resembled a human was glaring intently at him. It''s body was strangely thin, and a torn black cloak covered it''s head and most of it''s body. Whoosh! Qi that was so insanely powerful shot towards the beast he was riding on, it''s power was so overwhelming that one of the beasts wings was instantly blown off. He was currently flying down back towards the ground, all the way from the tip of the heavens! As he passed down from that red layer of cloud down to the black sky, Moon finally got a baring on where he was. He looked into the distance and saw an intense fire raging away, this was Wudao town.. Or what was left of it. At the moment he was going way past Wudao town, into a place where only the top dared to approach. This was No Mans Land! Authors note: Don''t forget to follow and leave a review if you''re enjoying the story! Thanks again for reading :D Chapter 10 – Trials of the Evil God Chapter 10 ¨C Trials of the Evil God That injured magical beast was quickly running out of strength as it continued to glide through the sky, going hundreds of miles past Wudao town and into No Mans Land. ''No Mans Land'' was a legendary place that''s been famous for thousands of years for housing the strongest magical beasts and treasure. If one would enter and make it out alive, they''d come out thousands of gold coins richer. The deeper you go, the better the loot! The strength of the magical beasts also increased the further you explored. Back when he was at Merry''s house, he read a book about a cultivator named Yudan who reached the Rebirth layer. It read that he once mapped out almost half of No Mans Land before being forced to leave due to the insanely powerful beasts that nearly wiped him and his group out completely. He mentioned that as he neared the center, he spotted an enormous hole in the ground that had a circumference of almost two miles. He noted that a strange black Qi was constantly oozing out of the middle, and that even the magical beasts of the Heaven layer didn''t dare approach! Currently, Moon was still struggling to keep hold of the flying beast with his third stage strength. Below him, he could see the figures of some cultivators who had auras of the rebirth layer fleeing from a mountain sized bear with spikes popping out of it''s back. It''s strength was obviously too much for the group who had ventured way too deep into it''s territory! Seconds later, that enormous bear had caught up to those unlucky cultivators and squashed them into meat paste! The weak perish, and the strong prevail. Four hours later. After descending even deeper into No Mans Land the roars were growing incredibly ferocious, and the pressure of the Qi in the atmosphere was increasing heavily. As the wingless beast that Moon was riding couldn''t hold on any longer and slowly descended down from the skies, he suddenly noticed something strange. That powerful Qi that was pressuring him before had completely vanished, and traces of magical beasts had all but disappeared. ¡°This can''t be good! The magical beasts in this area are all gone, but why? How far am I into No Mans Land...?¡± As he wondered what made all the beasts disappear, he spotted a strange anomaly on the ground. A gigantic hole oozing a black Qi surrounded by decaying trees had suddenly come into his vision! The hole was enormous, almost two miles in circumference. This was the one exactly described in that cultivator Yudans map of No Mans Land! What frightened him was that the beast he was riding was currently heading straight towards that hole, with no strength to change direction! The wingless monster flew straight over the trees, it''s body crashing down straight into that enormous hole which was so dark it seemed to swallow everything that entered. Moon instantly utilized his Qi and forced it into his legs as he jumped five meters into the air, attempting to reach the other side but it was way too far! He plummeted straight into that gigantic hole! ¡°Fuuuuuuck~~~!¡± His body vanished down into the gaping hole which was like the mouth to hell, swallowing him up as he descended into the unknown. Diving down into the hole was a strange feeling. It felt like he was flying and hovering at the same time. This was because he had been descending down into the black hole for almost six hours! Such a long time had gone by, yet he still hadn''t reached the bottom. At the speed which he was falling, he had already descended down a ridiculous three thousand miles! ¡°What the hells happening, how long have I been falling for? It''s been so long I''ve lost count! And this black Qi, it gets thicker the further I go down. Just what on earth is at the bottom of this hole..?¡±. ¡°And how the fuck am I supposed to land?!¡±. Just as he was thinking about what could possibly be at the bottom of this humongous hole, he hadn''t even thought about how he was going to survive the fall.. Diving down at such speed from such a height, as soon as he reached the floor his body would explode into a bloody mess! Two days later. Moon was looking anguished, with no sign of the hole having an end he''d already given up on thinking of what to do next. He believed that before he even reached the bottom, he would die from starvation. All of a sudden that thick black Qi which had been growing more and more abundant became so strong and pressurizing that Moons body was being squeezed to near death. It''s pressure was increasing heavily by the second, until he felt like his body was about to explode. Silence. The Qi'' completely disappeared and the weight on his body released. A light shone at the bottom of the hole. ¡°Was this it?¡±, he thought. Had he finally reached the bottom? WHOOSH! That bright light completely enveloped his vision and then vanished, as the speed at which he was falling decreased incessantly. His body was carried down by some unknown force as he lightly landed onto a hard stone floor. Before him was a cavern of tremendous size that extended as far as the eye could see. As he looked up he could see the huge gaping hole where he fell from, strangely he could see the outside world too! Unauthorized duplication: this tale has been taken without consent. Report sightings. ¡°Didn''t I fall for two days?! How the hell could I see the outside from down here? Was it all just an illusion?¡±. Questions filled his head as he wondered what happened during the past two days, just where was he? Before he could think of any answers he noticed that in front of him was a strange door. What made this door so strange, was that it was over two miles high and one mile wide! Across the door was a mural of a man with incredibly long hair reaching down to his feet. In his hand he was wielding a weapon that was too big to be called a sword, a greatsword would be a more appropriate name for it. Bending down to feel the stone floor, a cloud of dust gathered at the tip of his finger. Clearly this place was incredibly old, possibly hundreds of thousands of years old. He put on a brave face and gathered his courage, stepping towards that immensely large door which probably contained a titan within it. As he approached that imposing door, an old and archaic voice resounded out throughout the cavern. It''s speech was slow yet domineering, it''s loudness shook his very soul as if it had the power to crush his existence if it raised it''s voice. ¡°Behind this door are the three trials of the Evil God. Pass all three and survive to become his one and only disciple, fail and have your soul obliterated, never to be reborn again!¡±. That ancient door which reached the skies suddenly opened, the force it contained when opening resembled an earthquake as the ground shook terribly. As the old door fully extended, a foul smelling Qi wafted out from inside straight towards Moons face. That Qi felt extremely evil and even burnt his skin slightly. If the outside world knew that such a Qi existed, the entire hierarchy of the martial world would fall into chaos! ¡°Not bad, not bad! Disciple of an Evil God? If I truly became it''s disciple, just imagine what Uriel would say. I''m sure she''d be impressed if she knew..¡±. A small tear was released as he thought back to how his fairy princess had been stolen away by that divine hand, he hoped that one day he''d have the strength to enter the heavens and take back his woman. Moon stepped forward and paced himself through that enormous door into a grand hallway that was filled with dozens of different statues. As he walked down the hall to the other side, he faintly noticed something in common with the statues. They were all of the same person! They all seemed to contain that white haired man wielding the enormous greatsword. ¡°I realize now, it''s him. The one from my visions! That ''Old White'' who fought against those incredibly strong cultivators and was sealed away into another realm, could it be that this was where he was sealed?¡±. As he descended further into the hall, the faces on the statues began to change. From the entrance they envisioned a proud expression, but as he walked deeper into the hall he noticed that the faces were becoming angrier and more savage. By the time he reached the end the statues seemed as if they would come to life and devour him! At he neared the final area of the hall, he came face to face with another humongous door which resembled the one from earlier, except the mural on this one showed the white haired man riding on a magical beast that was incomparably large.. Larger than any beast he had ever seen before. Just as he was about to step closer to the door, an ear shattering bang pierced the air. Moon swiftly turned around and saw that one of the giant statues had come to life! It''s face was now incredibly spiteful, it seemed to want to erase Moon from existence like he was a bug that invaded it''s territory. The ten meter long stone greatsword in it''s hand was swung high up into the air, crashing into one of the walls as rubble came toppling down onto the floor. It''s power was simply terrifying, it didn''t even emit any Qi yet it''s strength was obviously way above the nursery layer. It wasn''t something Moon could contend with! He exploded out the aura of the third stage of the nursery layer and leapt to the side in an attempt to avoid that massive greatsword which was heading towards his body. It was no good! As the sword swung down, it''s pressure was so domineering that it didn''t even allow Moon to move and froze him in place! The greatsword edged closer and closer towards him, but just as it was a meter away from his head, an old and archaic voice could be heard. ¡°You, the holder of the first seed, the Seed of Envy! How you came to acquire this seed I do not know, but you are exempt from attempting the first two tests! You shall immediately move to the third!¡±. Moons face at this moment resembled a dead frogs. ¡°If this was the difficulty of the first trial, how in the seven hells do I attempt the third? And what was this Seed of Envy that the voice mentioned?¡±. Author note: This took me way too long to write, only 1 chap today xD Chapter 11 – Calamity God Hand Chapter 11 ¨C Calamity God Hand That ancient voice stopped speaking and an invisible force latched onto Moons body. The enormous door which led to the second trial creaked open causing the entire ground to shake as rubble was dislodged from the ceiling and toppled to the floor. The strange force lifted Moons body up twenty meters into the air as it pulled him through the door into the next area. From up above, he could see that the second trials difficulty increased immeasurably! A single stone path led from one end of the hall to the other, and alongside the stone path were pools of lava which endlessly spat out raging balls of fire. Flaming magical beasts also littered the area, the aura they gave off was the strength of the low Rebirth layer. One of the beasts was a Fuzu Fire Titan, a gigantic beast made of stone and lava which was ten meters tall. In it''s hand was a greatsword made of flame which flickered madly as if it was alive. ¡°If I somehow miraculously passed the first trial, then passing this one would require me to have the luck of a Jindan Frog! It''s a good thing I have this ''Seed of Envy'' the old voice mentioned.¡±. Jindan Frog''s were magical beasts said to have the most luck throughout heaven and earth. They were almost impossible to capture, but if one could actually be captured and killed, it''s blood could be drank which would allow them to be blessed with a hundred years of good luck! As Moon flew over that Fuzu Fire Titan, he reached the end of the incredibly hot lava filled area. That strange force which was latched onto his body released him from the air, as he fell twenty foot and landed down on the ground with a bang. The Qi around his feet had softened his fall, but the bones in his legs were slightly damaged. ¡°Too weak, I''m too weak, I''m never going to pass this third trial! it''s going to be much harder than the first two which were already so difficult..¡±. Moon stood before the third and final door. The mural on this door was a lot different compared to the first two, it didn''t detail that long haired man from before. The mural instead depicted two enormous red eyes and extremely sharp fangs which looked very evil, it resembled a pitch black wolf! Every passing second which he took to stare at the mural made him feel like his sanity was being eaten away. ¡°T-This door, it''s alive and it wants to devour me!¡±. That old voice sounded out once again. ¡°Look away and you will not have the requirements to attempt the third trial. If you can withstand the mental pressure from the Yin & Yang Death Wolf for a whole minute, you will pass to the next stage.¡± Twenty seconds had passed and a bloody steam was being released from Moon, the inside of his body was under incredible stress. His profound veins were being torn apart and right now many of his veins had split, making the Qi in his body release to form that bloody steam. His meridians were also being totally crushed! Four of them had already been flattened, and the pain on his face was evident. This was the worst pain he had ever felt in his entire life, he would much rather be tortured for a century by Rudan than endure this any longer. Although the pain was increasing by the second, his body still endured. Ten seconds remained as his eyes were still fixated on that wolf in the mural, though his eyes had gone a deathly white and blood constantly poured from them. ¡°J-Just ten more seconds.. Ten more and I can attempt the last stage. If Uriel.. would see me fail.. She would be disappointed!¡±. His thoughts were filled with his lost woman Uriel, it was the only thing keeping him standing right now. His sanity had been leached constantly during the last fifty seconds, and he felt like he could descend into madness if he faltered for even a second. One thin layer of green Qi was rotating endlessly around his head, guarding his last drips of sanity. Five, four, three, two.. One. Moon dropped down to the floor, blood pouring out of every single orifice. His mental state was very bad, staring at that face for a mere minute had greatly affected his mind. ¡°Good boy, good! You actually managed to stare at my Yin & Yang Death Wolf for a whole minute whilst being at the third stage of the Nursery layer. Your willpower is impressive, you can now attempt the third and final trial. I will revert your body back to it''s previous healthy state.¡± A foul black Qi appeared out of thin air, heading straight towards Moon. It enveloped his body and rotated around him rapidly before diving into his skin, healing his broken veins and crushed meridians. Even his badly affected mental state was healed by that black Qi! Those injuries which he endured would have been incurable even by the greatest spiritual doctor in the entire continent, just what kind of power was required to do such a thing? An immortal level healing technique? Moon rose back to his feet, a stern look on his face as he investigated the injuries inside his body. ¡°The black Qi that healed my veins was insanely powerful. This Evil God that''s sealed here must be ridiculously strong, if I could become it''s disciple then...¡± He suddenly became lost in thought, images of him flying thousands of feet in the sky, crushing his enemies and stealing away princesses rushed into his head. The ancient and giant door opened with a bang. That evil face on the mural disappeared, leaving only a stone surface. Beyond the third door was a myriad of beautiful bright lights which dazed Moon for a few seconds as he was unable to see beyond them. If you spot this narrative on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation.¡°W-What in the seven hells is this third trial?¡±. Moon regained his vision, he stared curiously upon the scenery behind the door. A giant golden greatsword! The sword reached so high up that he couldn''t even see the tip. Beneath the sword was a palace of exceptional architectural design. Fountains were pouring out water endlessly, huge statues of a long haired figure were placed around a green courtyard. As he walked along a stone path to the entrance of the palace, he realized that beyond the palace was an endless field of green. Flowers could be seen swaying to and fro in the wind, and there were no walls surrounding the green plains. It seemed like as he passed through that giant door into this third trial, that he''d entered another realm! ¡°What a beautiful place, it''s nothing like the previous trial which resembled hell. If I could live quietly in here for the rest of my days I''m sure I''d die a happy man.. but life''s never that easy.¡± The grand palace was right before him, and he walked up to that golden door which led to the inside. As he reached out to touch the door, it swung open as if it had a life of it''s own. Inside the palace, the architecture was like nothing he had even seen before. Black domed towers twisted on the side of the walls accompanying the most ostentatiously detailed pillars he had ever laid his eyes upon. The walls from a distance seemed to be composed of a white material, but as one went close enough to touch they''d notice it was built entirely of bones. There were no doors on the ground floor, and it seemed as if the hall was one huge room. Sucking in his breath as he drew the courage to move forward, he felt a strong pressure on his legs as each step he took made him feel as if a tremendous evil was bearing down on him. Every time he moved forward, he felt as if the world was disappearing in front of him, or maybe it was just him that was fading away. His lungs were burning tremendously and his heart was hitting his chest so hard he felt like it would break through his ribs and tear through his skin. ¡°What is this dreadful feeling.. it''s like a thousand eyes are staring at me, ready to devour my soul. I dread to think what the third trial is, it must be something a lot worse than before.¡± As Moon walked to the end of the hall, a tremendous throne sculpted by bones was placed before him. Sat on this giant throne of bones, was an ethereal figure with long white hair that was as wild as the jungle that fell down to his feet. It''s emaciated fingers, clenched tightly to what seemed to be a cracked greatsword that was was lodged into the floor. A greatsword covered in bloodstains, each one telling a different story. Staring at this figure before him, his heart twisted and sunk with nerves. A black light enveloped him coldly as the tremors pierced his soul, his breaths came in pants as he tried to regain control of his body but nothing was working. ¡°It hurts, it hurts!¡±. He tried to breath calmly, but every time he looked back up at that terrifying figure on the throne he felt like his existence was being eaten away. All his life he had feared death, suppressed with dealing with the notion, never willing to depart early. But as he stared at that evil figure sat on the throne, he truly wished to die! He felt like if he fell into that figures hands he would suffer greatly beyond his wildest imagination. ¡°Holder of the first seed, the Seed of Envy! You should already know who I am. You saw the grand vision of the battle where I was sealed, correct?¡±. The emaciated man stood up from the throne of bones. His face seemed thin and weak and his skin was as pale as the full moon. He had wide ink black eyes which contained an evil glint and his movements were very slow. From how he appeared, it seemed as if he was a man of sixty years of age or more, yet his aura was ancient and frightening, seeming to be hundreds of thousands of years old. As the godly being spoke, the evil pressure which was crushing Moon''s soul vanished as he used his remaining Qi to push himself back up to his feet. ¡°You''re that Evil God, Old White.. How come you''re at the bottom of this enormous hole?¡±. The ancient figure suddenly let out a huge grin, ¡°Ah, I was sealed down here by that old bastard! It''s been hundreds of thousands of years, he must have assumed control over my immortal realm already.¡± As he talked about the one who sealed him away, that huge grin disappeared as an incredibly evil look covered his face. ¡°Just what is this third trial? How can I possibly complete it with the strength of the third stage of the Nursery layer?!¡± An expression of determination lit up on Moon''s face, if he had a shot at passing this third trial then he would use everything he had left in his body to attempt it. A look of contempt appeared on Old White''s face. ¡°Hm. When I was sealed down here from my realm I had no choice but to split my soul into seven seeds, you already have the first one, the Seed of Envy.. Otherwise, I would have been destroyed when I crossed through that bastards vortex! My physical body is already gone, what you''re seeing is a tiny piece of my conscience which I sealed into my greatsword, the ''Calamity God Hand''.. You may be aware that when a strong cultivator doesn''t wish to die and seals himself into his weapon, it becomes a divine weapon. You could simply say, that the current me in front of you now is the Calamity God Hand!". A fierce look permeated on Old White''s face, "If you can pick up my Calamity God Hand, you can become my disciple!".
