 Prologue: the beginning

    My name is Zion Mendoza I''m 19 yrs. old this year. I was born in a small country of Philippines.. Well that''s all i''m willing to share at the moment, as for why am i writing this damn thing? that''s for you to find out and for me to share... hahaha


    My story starts one day like any other day as i was lazing around reading some novel like i did countless times before in my room, oh my room? You asking about my room...?


    Well i have two words to this describe it (controlled chaos) in everybody''s view it looks messy, well it is messy but that''s not the point, my point is i like it that way period, end of story! Well b''coz it may be chaotic but to me its not, my room will always be the place i can relax, and all that mess and chaos helps me unwind. haaaaii taking a deep breath, enough about my room let''s get back to my story.


    As I''ve said i was lazing around in my room when all of a sudden everything went dark then silence like the world just stops, what the heck! i said out loud. is it a brown out? I said in my mind, i failed to notice that it''s 4 o''clock in the afternoon and the sun should still be up and it should still have some light in the windows.. Jaaaaames i shouted calling to one of my housemates, i remember passing him by in the living room earlier today before i went to my room to read, no answer, joooooo he''s one of my other housemate his real name is Jomar but we all call him Jo for short.


    Are you there bro i shouted again, and again no answer, i thought i heard his voice Earlier guess i was wrong, where the hell is my damned phone tapping the table next to my bed where i was reading, and the place i usually put my phone, slowly feeling the surface of the table got it, huh why is it not working i clearly remember charging my phone this afternoon before i have my lunch, darn it did this thing run out of battery already no way! such bad luck now of all times, darn it "cursing in my mind" haaaaii i let out a sigh, i think i have a flashlight in my closet i was silent for a few second.....


    Darrrrnn it ''i cursed again in my mind'' normally it''s an easy thing to do just walk right in to my closet but unfortunately my room as i describe it "controlled chaos" i clearly remember i have few things laying in my room and some of them are some unfinished glass of water that if i happen to toss over its going to be a disaster because few of my precious books just happen to be somewhere in the floor as well darn i''m screwed my prize possessions, i can''t let it be damage, no way i was going to let it happen.


    I rather stay here wait for cavalry to arrive or for the electricity to come back.


    And as i was thinking of just taking a nap to let the brown out passed, then it happens my whole body stiffen cold sweat suddenly pouring out of my body, it feels like when you are alone and you feel like someone or something is watching you but no matter how you look nobody is there its the same feeling just amplified it a hundred time no a million time thats how i felt that day, i still got shiver every time i think about it... Moving on,


    So i started sweating, a lot, and my body started shaking out of my control, my heartbeats racing fast like my heart is going to burst open or something or close to it, my mind is in chaos and i started panicking i wanted to scream but my voice is stuck in my throat i started looking around even though i didn''t know what i was looking for or what, and i was there in my room shaking and sweating for no logical reasons at all,


    Brrrrrrrrrrgggggggg suddenly the whole house began to shake, and from the distance i can hear things falling and breaking and in my room i can hear some of my action figures falling down on the floor, a a..an earthquake? No way!


    The shaking and sound of things breaking continues on.


    And here i am stuck in my bed unable to move, sweating all over, my body is shaking and shivering panicking but unable to do anything.


    I feel like i''m have a cardiac arrest or something not that i know how it feels like, but i thought it''s similar or at least close to that. My mind is running all over thinking of what to do next and how to get out of this situation... I force myself to move and with great effort i was able to stand.

    I know i should be running for safety before the whole house collapse on top of me but instead i was standing in front of my bed quivering for reasons i don''t know what, "calm down you ass, calm down why are you panicking you moron" i said to myself... Haaaaayss taking a deep breath trying to calm my mind i started to relax a little, i i i ne nee need to get out of here while shaking. i whisper, i started to walk slowly not caring if i spill all the unfinished bottle of water laying on the floor,


    Thinking what the hell is going on? Whats happening? that''s what racing on my mind while i''m slowly walking toward my closet to get the flashlight out, it''s still pitch black and i can''t even see my hands in front of me "brrrggggbb" rumbling continues and sound of things breaking but other than that no other sound there should be shouting or screaming from the people next door who are always noisy all year long and when the right moment when they should be making noise nothing except the rumbling of the earthquake and sounds breaking things and the sound of my heartbeat there''s nothing,


    And i should mention that no more than a minutes has passed since i started shivering for no reasons,i tried walking toward my closet using all my strength to steady my shaking legs while feeling my way toward the closet.. And then finally i felt the door of my closet, and as i was opening it to get a source of light to see what''s going on i stop... Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr a growl not like a dog''s growl, I''ve heard a lot of dogs growl every day before and after work, that dammed neighbors dog never fails to growl at me night or day, rain or shine that dog always there to growl at me whenever i pass my neighbors house so yeah u can say i''m an expert in terms of dogs growl and this is not like any other dog''s growl i heard before, GRRRRRRRRR it sound more like a scapping and a little bit of flapping sound combine it with beast growl put them all together and then multiply it a hundred times and you''re close to it, to tell you guys the truth i really can''t describe it i just know it''s the most terrifying growling sound i heard in my entire life.


    And that sound is coming from outside my window just a few feet from me to my right, so yeah im scared i almost piss my pants or may i did i can''t tell.. BRRRGGG the rumbling sounds continues and of multiple things breaking but that was the last thing on my mind right now even the danger of the house collapsing i didn''t seems to notice at all, it''s like nothing else is happening and the only sound i hear is the growling sound of what sounds like a huge beast and a THUD sounds of a heavy footstep.


    THUD.................. My eyes are locked at the pitch black to my right where the window is suppose to be. And even though it''s pitch black and i can''t see anything at all, but my eyes is fixed on the windows i can''t see,


    THUD.. THUD.. the footstep is getting closer and my tears is starting to fall and my body continues to shake, and I''m losing my strength while sweating at the same time i''m shouting in my mind, i have to run and hide but my body won''t listen, i just stood there like a Buddha¡¯s statue looking at the blackness that''s suppose to be my windows waiting for whatever making the most awful and terrifying growl and heavy footstep I''ve heard in my whole life.


    The sounds is getting closer and closer and to tell you the truth i just want to whoever or whatever making that sound to come faster and get all this craziness over with, THUD.... THUD.... THUD it stopped..


    SILENCE.....


    there is only silence in my mind i can''t even hear the rumbling anymore my sight is fixed in the darkness to my window.


    GRRRRRRRRRRLLLLL.... GRRRRRRRRR... Sounds of monster growl,


    Haaa haaa im breathing hard then i saw it..


    A huge eye, blood red illuminating in the darkness looking at me... Then my consciousness fades i pass out.........

 Chapter 0: first encounter

    Haa haa... no way!! no way!! Shouting as i try to breathed while running for my life brushing though the tall grass not caring where i''m heading into.


    Thick trees all around me, trees after trees went passed me as i run with all my strength, trying to get away from the thing that''s running after me, i can hear the sound of crashing and breaking of smaller trees from behind, and sounds of smaller animals trying to get away as far as possible from me and the thing that''s chasing after me.


    Grrrsssss... I can hear its snakelike growl like it cant wait to get its fangs on me, i can almost feel it breathing behind my back, i know I''m probably just imagining it, but i swear i can feel and smell the stench of its breath.


    I''m trying the best i could not to throw up when running with all my strength, i can hear it coming closer and closer from my back,


    I can even picture the damn thing licking its lips. While thinking on ways on how to devour me,


    And believe me its not a pleasant feeling.


    I kept on running as adrenaline starts to kick in, jumping over the fallen tree stumbling over the forest floor, got bruised all over my legs and arms from tripping all over, it''s not like I''m running on flat even ground.


    In the forest floor all kinds of things littered the floor, rocks and fallen tree even small animals, my knees are bleeding from scraping in the rock protruding on the ground, i also tripped on a vine while trying to jump over it...


    Blood from my knees are dripping and flying all over the place as i passed.


    I know that blood can attract monsters or wild animals but there nothing i can do about it, as i was already being chase by this monstrous thing, i know its gigantic just from sounds of its paws touching the ground i can hear its paws digging deep into the forest floor while running after me.


    Haa..haa ouch! got a cut on my cheeks from hitting the branch extending from the plants, and its not the first cuts i''ve got, i have cuts from all over my face my arms and legs from running through this thick forest...


    But i payed no attention to it at all, all i care about is how to get away from this monster as fast as possible, i also know just a slight delay and a little mistake, and it''s game over, and i''ll be monster chow. howling of monsters can be heard from all over the forest, but i ignore that as well, and just focus on getting away from the monster thats been relentlessly chasing after me...


    As i was running, i was thinking on how the hell i''ve ended up in this mess up situation.


    When just moments ago i was enjoying myself in eating delicious fruit i found in the forest, and the next thing i knew i was running for my life, it''s so mess up.


    And the funniest thing is that i dont even know what''s chasing after me, coz the moment i heard the growling and breathing of something heading toward me i bolted and started running!


    And when i look back, this black thing is chasing after me...


    So I started cursing in my mind on what kind of rotten luck i have, darn it darn it! spitting the word, while i run without looking back.


    As my mind wondered for a bit i made a big mistake and made the wrong turn somewhere....


    No way im dead, im telling you im dead.


    Coz i just realized the place i''m heading into is a dead end cliff and right before the cliff a giant creature is sleeping...


    I was probably about 100 meters away from it, and to my right a cliffs wall, on my left an endless swamp that''s probably infested with all manner of disgusting creatures,


    But i think the main monster i can see on the swamp is a crocodile like monster except each and every one is at-least 10 to 20+ meters long, this kind of monsters is equipped with sharp spike like scales, and two sword like horns protruding from it head, and on the center of its forehead a big eye twice as big as its normal eyes, how can i tell? coz one of them is looking straight at me probable thinking if he should join the hunt for a fresh and unluckily human.


    good thing it didn''t...


    Back to the problem at hand, an unknown black monster is chasing after me, and the only reason it hasn''t catched up to me yet is b''coz theres quite a lot of big and giant trees sticking close to other one after another, and that''s the only thing that prevents it from having me as its meal..


    B''coz of those trees blocking its way it has no choice but to maneuver its way around the trees to get to me, the good thing is that the trees are quite wide, some are as wide as a house so most of the time it''s been delayed, and was falling behind.


    But b''coz of its size and speed it can quickly catch up to me only to find another tree is blocking its way.


    I thought it will give up after sometime, but to my surprise its getting more and more exited from chasing me.


    Maybe it''s been looking for something to play with all along or maybe it''s just simply bored and looking for some entertainment, and i just so happen to come along...


    Cursing! as continue to run, just my luck! of all the monster to encounter I''ve got a bored or maybe a perverted one who like to play with its meal... darn it...


    I was running a good 20mins or so and the distance between us hasn''t change much, or maybe it''s getting closer..


    But i notice that although I''m breathing hard from running all over the forest I''m not tired nor there''s any fatigue at all in fact for some reason i feel like my whole body is full of energy, and did i mention, I''m not fond of exercise, exercise is for the weak! as i use to say to all those who try to invite me to go to gym.


    But seriously what''s wrong with my body did i eat some super power mushroom or something or get a shining star (ref. Mario brothers). Without me knowing?


    Well ill put that issue on hold for now, as i have a gigantic black thing chasing after me thats far more important than any issue regarding the changes in my body, and in fact just in front of me is another problem that can be far worse than the thing that''s been chasing me,

    for i can already if not vaguely see the partial body of the monster in front of me, if not for some of the trees and plants or tall grass barring my view, i can already see what it really look like, but frankly i don''t want to see, much less meet it, but i have no choice but to continue moving towards it praying some miracle to happen..


    50 meters until i reach the sleeping monster, and from what i see it look like a behemoth, if you''re not familiar with the name imagine a 6 meter tall muscular bulldog and instead of skin it has scales similar to dragon, 5 meters wide and has a very sharp claws, and on its back ten two meter tall spikes protruding on its back like external spine, and add to that a thin like tail that look like a serpent body specifically made to use as a whip, and on the end of its tail a trident like spear thats dripping with bluish liquid, and every time it drips on the grass it withered and turn to ash, so yeah it has poison, the behemoth''s length is around 20 to 30 meters long..


    How can i tell? well it''s looking right at me, and it notice me the moment i enter the 30 meters marks.


    The behemoth is standing up on all four and looking very angry for ruining its rest, and at the same time silently watching and maybe thinking on who dares to disturb its rest.


    What am i going to do next? I kept thinking...


    But i didn''t stop running! I kept on running coz i can almost feel the monster behind me, in fact it''s growl has become more louder as it kept getting closer.


    20 meters..


    15 meters..


    10 meters..


    I can now see the full view of the monster in front of me, it''s a behemoth! And i can see it in all its glory..


    It has deep blue color and a dragon like scales, it looks majestic up close, but scary as hell.


    I kept on running towards it, Crazy? I know! But i have choice though, in fact i went in faster.


    I run straight for the behemoth, and if someone else see me, they''ll think i''m a crazy person, or a suicide bomber or something.


    well i have to admit it''s a little crazy to go straight for the behemoth but on my defense its was all part of plan or gamble or whatever you want to call it, and besides i have very little choice at the moment, for me it''s like choosing which belly ill end up being digested.


    And so i decided to make a gamble and go for broke, and went straight for the behemoth, why?


    Well for one it''s not looking at me but rather to the one that''s been chasing after me.


    And second, if that fails and i made the a mistake all i have to do is just jump off the cliff..


    Thats assuming i didn''t get eaten first before i reach the cliff...


    How i know ill be safe if i jump off the cliff?


    Well coz for awhile now i can hear a river at the end of the cliff so i figured my chances of survival is a lot higher than staying here with these two monsters.


    as i got closer to the behemoth, it is also getting ready for battle by entering a crouching battle stance, as i get closer and closer i kept my eyes on it but it didn''t even look at me even not a glance...


    9 meters.. 8 meters... And finally 5 meters!


    The moment i reached the five meter mark the behemoth suddenly jump straight at me Ahhhhhhhh i shouted!................ I''m dead....


    Or not, it went past over me and went straight for the monster thats been chasing me, it attack mouth open, i can see the long sharp fang flashing in the moonlight, and its claws glinting and ready to strike on the monster thats been chasing me all over the forest...


    I slide back the exact same time the behemoth attack the thing that''s been chasing me, i almost end up falling off to the cliff ahead of me, as i look down i can see the raging river running a good 50 to 60 meter below the cliff, so i turn back for the first time since i started running from that thing that''s been chasing, now i can see what it really look like, it has jet black snake like scales, with a red like tribal design running through its whole body,


    it''s like a cross breed between a panther and a black mamba snake, the body is like a panther but its head is like A snake the whole body is covered with a snake like scales so pretty like a gem glinting under the moonlight, a serpent like fork tongue hissing and growling at same time,


    eyes jet black, two sharp fangs dripping with black poison liquid that''s been dripping from its sharp fang, it has four front legs instead of two and most of all it''s twice as big as the behemoth....


    They are fighting in rage like manner, loud hiss like growl can be heard as they pounce at each other, clawing biting at each other and every time they move the earth shook like two truck hitting each other on a head on collision, is very loud!


    and even though the behemoth is losing in size and strength, its more than make up for it with speed and technique.


    anyone can tell that both monster is very good at fighting, but the think behemoth has more chances in winning, why? Well it has variety of weapons, under its arsenal its greatest weapon is its tail, yes its tail, its tail is capable of attacking in high speed like a whip.


    And this whip is slashing at the panther/snake monster at ultra high speed exceeding the speed of sound, you hear a whistle like sound every time the behemoth tail is use, and afterwards a sonic booms follows.


    it can be heard one after another every time the behemoth use its spear like tail it stab and slash at the panther, one look and you can tell the two monsters fighting in front if me is not your average monster living in this part of the forest... As i was watching the two super monster in front of me my mind has started to wonder on the first time i awoke from this unknown world....

 Chapter 1: hello earth??

    Chapter 1: hello earth??


    Arrrrggggg my head! It feels like it''s been smashed by a sledgehammer, i''m i still alive? Is it all that just a dream? whew... a sigh of relief come from my mouth,  what a nightmare arrggg darn my head still hurts,


    Do i have a hangover or something? I didn''t remember drinking hard last night or the day before that.


    And after taking some deep breath, my head starting to clear a little... thats better, the pain in my head lessens somehow it''s still hurting but it''s bearable now compared to before..


    Looking around, while in sitting position i noticed it''s still somewhat dark and i can only see a few meters ahead of me....... Huh?


    Whaaaaa t!!! What the hell, is this my room? No way!


    Somehow my fears has been realize, so its not a dream after all, is this my room?


    Looks like it, I can recognize it somehow just barely though, looking around in my room or at-least what looks to be a remnant of my room, my first thought was how long has i been sleeping, what? Is it Weird for my first question?


    Not if you''re seeing what i''m seeing right now..


    How is this possible? This place looks like it has been abandoned for more than a hundred or so years, yeah you heard correct, my room looks like it''s been abandoned for countless years.


    all my scattered books and things i have, has long been rotted, all has turned to dust, and all around me smells old and moldy, i shivered, i''m starting to panic a little, i started calling for my housemates....


    G g guuuyyssss are you there? jaaames, jooomaaar! i shouted but no answers....


    I slowly stand up and started to think of all the things that i remember before i woke up here, then i felt a goosebumps, as every hair in my body stands up.


    Last i remember is seeing a big blood red eyes looking at me before i passed out......


    My eyes snaps back to my window focusing my sight on it....


    wheeew.. no big bad red eyes, good... a sigh of relief as i saw nothing on my windows.


    i was about to shout again when i remember the big red eyes again, a thought comes to mind what if whoever or whatever that eyes belong to is still here. Just thinking about it gives me shivers...


    I really dont want to think about it, but what if its still here somewhere. "Shivered". I hope not.


    What am i going to do now? I whispered, well first i need to calm down and think, although i''m worried to the point i am shaking and sweating there''s nothing i can do about it, i just cross the bridge when i get there i guess.


    For now i need to man up and do what i have to do resolve this issue, is what i''m thinking.


    Problem is my body is not obeying me right now so i sat there for a good long time as i tried to recover my wits....


    Sitting there for who knows how long, finally my mind return back to reality, i i i need to get out of here is the first word i said after snapping back.


    Slowly getting up i walk to my closet and open it ''kreeeeeeak'' sound reverberate to the room, this old wooden door rings as i tried to open it,


    the closet door creaks as i tried to open it.


    Nervously looking around as if waiting for a response on the sound i''m making, and seeing nothing''s amiss, i continued to open my closet and saw all my clothes and stuff still there, only most or all of it has rotted and dirty, i picked up the flashlight only to find out it''s not working.


    I look back to see where i usually put my backpack, and although i''m not expecting much, i walk to the corner of my room and saw a part of my backpack sticking out, for what look like a mound of dust and spiderweb i pick it up and to my relief somehow it''s still intact, probably because it''s mostly made of industrial carbon plastic and high grade nylon or something anyways i''m thankful for it,


    Picking the bag up i dusted it off, before i started opening it only to find it was empty,


    hmmm.. not thinking too much about it i went back to my half open closet and started to pick up some old clothes along with the flashlight that''s not working,


    I walk back to the side table next to my bed looking for my mobile phone but it''s not there, i check my bed or what''s left of it anyways still i cant find my phone, hmmmm looking around the room still cant find the stupid phone sighing i walk to the opposite side of my windows near the door, if you go outside you can see the hallway, in the side of my room in the corner i pick up my stainless steel baseball bat that i bought in some sports shop, for no apparent reason whatsoever, looking at it while thinking this is better than nothing i guess..

    Thinking back i was surprise on how quickly i calm down and adapted to my new surroundings although i panicked when i first woke up, to find out everything  has change, but who doesn''t panic right, given my situation anyone will panic, at least i didn''t start screaming like a crazy person right.


    So i slowly open the door leading outside my room slowly,  i checked if there''s something outside my room, ''whew'' SAFE i muttered..


    looking back and forth on the hallway i saw the doors to the room of my housemates Jomar and James, and no they are not brothers.. So i saw that doors to their room is open wide or more specifically there is no door left.


    But first to give you all a better understanding of our flat it''s a simple two floor apartment house, we''re renting coz its close from work and yeah they are my workmates, so Anyways opening the door to our apartment you''ll see a simple living room with medium size sofa and a 49" inch hdtv on front, that''s mounted on the wall in the center of the room,


    and on the right, you''ll find the stairs leading to the second floor hallway that leads to our room i got the first room near the stairs next is jomar the furthest is james room.. Under the stairs there''s a passage leading to kitchen, bathroom and dining room simple right?


    So looking at the door less room of Jomar i slowly walk to check if somehow jomar was still there hibernating or something slowly i walked to it, slowly peeking carefully, only to find it empty.


    i mean really its empty like there''s nothing in the room not a damn thing, weird i thought but then again with all the things happening, an empty room is the least weird thing i saw today, i didn''t bother entering as i went to check James room.


    i didn''t bother peeking, i went straight to james room but didn''t bother call his name, Walking up to it, again it''s empty "the hell" spitting the word, did someone or something came and take everything in house leaving only my room wtf¡­. Haaaaaa i sigh.


    Walking back to the stairs and as i passed jo''s ( jomar ) room i notice a glint, stopping i focus on the thing that''s glinting on the floor on jomar''s room, i slowly walked to it i bend down and pick it up,


    its a small rock, the size of a baby''s fist, i started blowing the dust on it to look closer,  it looks like a normal rock that has scars of different size and shape all over it,


    it¡¯s jet-black in color even though it''s a little dark in the room, you can tell it''s pitch-black color even so it never cross my mind to throw it or leave it behind, why you ask? Well not to mention it weigh practically nothing like a Styrofoam or something, but i can tell it''s very solid and hard so it doesn''t make sense why it''s so light, the weirdest thing is i felt something weird from it, what it was? i have no idea.


    i immediately put the weird rock in my backpack and slowly walk back to the hallway and to the stairs leading down to the living room or should i say where the living room supposed to be.


    As i walk down the stairs a strong gust of wind hit me in the face instinctively i closed my eyes and put my hands in front to shield my eyes from the gust of wind,


    after a while i began to look at my surroundings and my eyes pop out my mouth open wide in surprise!


    what appears before me is something incredible¡­


    for a good while i stand there looking like an idiot like a statue, no fucking way!!!


    Wha what the hell is this?


    For as far as i can see, a vast forest appeared, like a scene cut from the post apocalyptic movie¡­


    the whole city is swallowed up by forest, like the whole city is been abandoned for hundreds of years until mother nature claimed it back¡­.NO WAY!!!  i exclaimed.....

 Chapter 2: first taste of adventure

    Chapter 2: first taste of adventure


    No way how is this possible? I ask myself, at first i was thinking i was summoned to a different world like most of the fantasy novel I''ve read so far, but looking in front of me i can tell that this is still earth, just very different from what i can remember.


    Just yesterday morning i was enjoying my coffee and some freshly baked pandesal (local bread) along with some scrambled egg for breakfast, just yesterday the only problem i have is how long i have to wait before the next issue of the novel i''m reading will be released.. And now...


    As i scan the new world in front of me, i was thinking maybe, is this somehow still earth? It look very different but there''s also similarity like those things in front of me.


    Coz in the far distance i can vaguely see of what looks like a commercial building, although it looks abandoned for who know how long, like the city has been swallowed up by nature,


    and although there quite a distance between me and the abandoned city,  but bcoz its still quite dark and can only see the silhouette of the buildings but for some reason i know it''s been abandoned.


    through the help of the moonlight i earnestly scanned the horizon for any sign of human presence, i was hoping i can spot some campfire somewhere in the forest or in the far distance abandoned city, i can''t tell what city it was coz of the distance and it''s still somewhat dark, but i can tell or more accurately my instinct is telling me that it''s a city from my earth, for some reason i have no doubt about it.


    I stayed in that position while scanning the area for a long time until finally i decided to wait for day break before i ventured forth into the forest.


    There''s a huge forest separating me and the old city, and i think i need to prepare for a long and bone breaking task ahead of me,


    so i went back to my room to check my closet for any clothes i can still use and put them all in my backpack i also sweep across my room for any things i can use, was hoping i can find a lighter, and even though i don''t smoke i vaguely remember of having a lighter somewhere here.


    And in the study table''s drawer and sure enough. I found it, i test it and to my delight it''s still working, i also found my swiss knife and some other things like cutter and some duct tape after putting everything i was able to salvage in my backpack, there''s also the baseball bat I''ve bought for no apparent reason in the right corner of my room after picking the bat, i sit on the corner of my room thinking and planning of what to do next when i leave this place...


    Minutes pass and it feels like hours has gone by, without any working clock its very hard to tell just how long I''ve been sitting and waiting, my mind is looking for any logical explanation to all this things but just can''t find any answer, just how long am i can survive in this new world?


    I got no food, i have no water just what i''m i going to do? i ask myself.


    I kept looking around my room looking for thing to ease my mind as the same time to try divert my mind to all this depressing thoughts, and just like that i fell asleep, probably bcoz my mind is tired of all the things happening one after another...


    Thug! I snap awake and realize the bat I''m holding fell over, i adjusting my eyes to the bright light that''s coming from the window, so its morning already? i stood up stretching my body and slowly walking to the door opening it slowly then confirming that there nothing outside the hallway i walk directly to the stairs leading outside.


    As soon as walk outside i was once again dumbfounded of the view in front of me, if last night view is already unbelievable now even more so, trees bigger the the buildings birds that look like dragons flying in the distant forest,


    And so much forest as far as my eyes can see, i saw animals in the distance I''ve never seen before, is this rally earth? but those building in the distance is clearly building from earth, no doubt about it, but but how was all this come to be? I''m i somehow been teleported into future? coz other than that i saw no other explanation...


    No i i hope not. Im not the last human on earth right? Hahhaha that''s crazy there''s no way that''s possible,,,, r..right? I ask myself.


    What rotten luck. Did i do some bad things in my previous life or something? And now i''m being punished of it now, darn it!!


    Finally done pitying myself and after thinking of all the worst case scenario, i finally went back to reality.


    Ssiiigggghhhh after taking a very long and deep sigh, i finally convince myself to find the truth..


    Who knows maybe in this new world i can finally meet the girl of my dreams a very pretty elven girl, hahaha thats right this is a fantasy world where every bookworm who love fantasy genre can only dream about, but here am i living in that very dream right now, so whats there to be depressed about, hahaha i gave a hearty laugh patting my chest and who knows maybe there''s magic in this world after all i can clearly saw some dragon like creature flying in the distance, if there''s dragon there''s definitely a magic trying to convince myself, and the same time cheering myself up.

    Darn how do i get down from here?


    If you''re wondering why I''m asking that question is because i was on top of some stiff rocky mountain from some stupid reason my apartment is in the top of this all rock mountain,


    darn it.


    going down from here is going to be a pain in the ass, well no pain no gain, as they say.


    and so i started the bone breaking, and positively lethal trek down the mountain, at first it''s quite hard i have to double check, triple check all the foothold and making sure my feet is super secure before going to the next foothold,


    luckily there''s plenty to use as foot hold and plenty of protruding rock to firmly hold into, and b''coz i was an indoor type of person i have 100% no experience when it come to mountain climbing so my descent down the mountain in really slow, and although the mountain is tall most of it you can walk down so the actual mountain climbing is relatively short for a professional climber ill probably only take him a few mins of so, and as for me who has no experience whatsoever it took me an hour or so to finish my way down....


    Going down the rest of the mountain is quite easy and on the way down the mountain I''ve found some berries that i think is safe to eat, well it look exactly like berries except the taste is a little salty, which i enjoy just the same of course, i would have prefer a sweet berries but for a hungry man, taste is a luxury, as long as it''s not poisonous i''ll eat it,


    eating the berries relieves some of my hunger of-course I''m still hungry but at least my stomach has stop growling, unlike before that every ten second or so it hear it growling, and it just add to the hunger i felt, as i was going down the mountain on the way to the forest i saw a very familiar tree that brings big smile on my face... Is that what i think it is? As soon as that question ring into my mind i was already running toward it...


    Ohhhh nice hahaha what luck i stood in front of the tree that will help me greatly resolve my number One priority, food and drinks, i stood in front of the tree we call coconut tree, and looking up i saw a dozen or so fruits in it, now how can i get those fruits to the ground?


    luckily this coconut tree is not very tall in fact it''s quite short, back home i''ve seen a coconut tree as tall as 3 story building but this particular tree is only one story tall, so even though i''m not what you call athletic person but for coconut tree this short, it''ll be no problem, i think.


    Hahaha yeah no problem! I assure myself, and besides when i was a kid i use to climb a coconut tree for fun.....

    Hahaha of-course its a lie why would i climbed tree for fun when there''s plenty of things to do like playing computer games and ah..... Hmmm play computer games?.... Hahaha


    Sigh yeah i admit it all i do is play computer games when i was a kid but who doesn''t right?


    I think most of the kids my generation are addicted to computer games is that wrong? Maybe but do i regret it? Hell no! i enjoyed it why would i regret something i enjoy.


    Well anyways back to the coconut tree, nothing will happen if i only keep on staring at it! Well here goes nothing! I said to myself, to my surprise i got the coconut fruit quite easy climbing the tree getting the fruit and going down only takes a minute or two, no effort at all in fact it take much longer to open the fruit.


    but after some bashing and a lot of cursing, i finally succeeded, whew finally, hmmm the coconut juice taste a little different than i remember, hmmm i didn''t remember it being this sweet. Well i still enjoyed the juice nevertheless. Time to move on.


    After collecting several bottle of coconut juice in the empty plastic bottle of water that littered my room i proceed to continue my way to the forest and into the abandoned city, i refuse to believe that i was the only human left in this world.


    Finally after several hours of walking and admiring the scenery i finally arrive at the edge of the forest but i didn''t go in right away.


    why?


    Well the forest looks old very old and menacing and although i didn''t saw any monster or scary animal just the aura of the forest alone is enough to send all my body hairs tingling, so i stand there contemplating on whether i proceed or not.


    Darn it I''ve come all the way here why am i hesitating, i said to myself, so i took some deep breath and went inside the ominous forest, there''s better not be any monster in here please!


    I said it like a pleading prayer..


    the inside of the forest is quite dark b''coz of the towering trees that blocked the sunlight and only a handful of sunlight manage to pierce inside the forest and that makes it both beautiful and scary at the same time..

 Chapter 3: trouble

    Wow! As i started exploring the forest, "wow" is the only word to describe it especially for someone like me who live in the city all my life, i who can only see places with lots of trees in the movie or in the manga that I used to read,


    this kind of environment is the first for me, even more so since this place is not your ordinary forest there are many plants and trees that only exist in this fantasy world,


    for example have you ever saw a mushroom as big as a house? But here it exist.


    It took all the restraint and self control not to climb and jump around on top of it, and use it like a trampoline,


    and just not too far on my right there''s a sunflower as big as satellite dish, I''ve estimated it around 20 meters tall, and the whole flower is around 10 meters wide in diameter, of-course its just a rough estimate so i assume it''s even bigger after all there''s quite a distance between me and the sunflower, unfortunately the space between me and the flower is filled with what look like a swamp, so i can only give up on getting close to in, darn i wish i can take picture of it. "sigh"


    So i continue moving into the forest and the first animal i encountered is something that looks like a squirrel, only this one has three tails and it''s quite big the size of a dog and around a meter long and two feet tall, it''s sitting atop some branch from some gigantic tree its eating some kind of nut the size of volley ball, ah oh! I see! no wonder the squirrel is big the nuts are also big,


    i didn''t try to get close to it afraid of how it will react if i get too close to it, so as i leave it, and move on the forest, i was especially careful to not disturb it.


    I saw lots of interesting things that doesn''t or shouldn''t exist in the world i knew, animals with deer like feature the size of a semi truck and pure white body, even its horns are white, it''s so beautiful the horns is like branches of lightning that solidified,and it''s also pure white...


    its the most dignified animal i saw in my entire life really amazing, the way it''s stood there in a clearing in the forest like a deity or something, i remember how it look when it saw me, as it looked straight at me, and maybe thinking like who the hell is this commoner that dares to stand in front of me, or something like that..


    It really was an amazing experience.


    The way it stand there like a majestic king, it gives me shivers every time i think about it, and how it looked at me for a good couple of seconds before it runs out in the opposite direction where i was, darn my heart stop the moment it looked at me, and i stood there like a statue looking at it, not daring to move a muscle,


    Haaaa.. I sigh in relief, before it left the opposite of me i thought for a sec, is it going to attack me? and honestly i was so scared but at the same time I''m excited for some reason, i didn''t understand, like the sleeping blood of an adventurer is boiling inside me, something a bookworm like me has never experienced before, and my heart keeps beating faster for a minute or so.


    after the deer like monster left, i stood there my heart beating fast, and looking at the place where the deer use to be, it took me awhile to snaps back to reality.


    and after moving to the place where the deer thing use to be,  i notice a small flower, but this one is like crystal sculpture or something, looking closely "WOW"...


    It really is a flower made of pure crystal, i mean it''s a literal crystal flower, but the most amazing thing is that it''s not hard or stiff or anything static, coz it''s moving like a normal flower when the wind blew it moves along with it, it''s quite a sight, i was thinking this must be a really rare flower, i''ll be crazy stupid if didn''t take it with me, so i gently dig around the flower careful not to damage any roots, then gently scooping it up, i noticed that even the roots is also made of crystal and bluish in color the whole flower from top to roots is bluish in color its very pretty.


    So after securing the flower in my backpack, i started to move on...


    I decided to move in the same direction as the deer like thing disappeared into, no particular reason why i decided that, so after that i saw lots of different kind of animals, or atleast i think they''re animals, most of them has similarity to the animals in earth with a slight difference, like extra limbs and horns, and some has multiple extra eyes, things like that.


    While some are totally different like the ball like thing i saw, its perfectly round and as it rolls, different kind of things sticks to its body and eventually sinking inside its body never to be seen again, but the thing is that not everything under it stick to it, some sticks, some don''t, i don''t really understand how it''s doing it, i didn''t see any suckers like you see in octopus or something, so maybe it can choose which one it want to stick to its body, hmmm...


    well i didn''t really think too much about it anyway, it''s been over an hour since i entered the forest if i have to guess its about noon right now, but b''coz of the thickness of the forest you won''t be able to notice it.


    And so, i finally saw my first monster carcass, i mean it''s not that surprising to find a dead body of an animals in the forest, i mean i saw quite a bit of small bones belonging to a small animals every now and then, so in a way i''m expecting to see some dead monster in this forest,


    just not so soon...


    it''s quite big and it look like some kind of boar except it has no tusk and instead on its head a single horn about a foot and a half long, and its face look exactly like a pig.


    Whew, just wow! almost half of its body is missing, like something huge takes a bite at it then left it to die, how can i tell? Easy, b''coz in exception to its missing body parts everything is intact no other visible battle wounds just that huge bite mark.


    there''s also blood everywhere, guts scattered around, it looks like something big fling it over side to side after taking a bite at it and just left, without finishing it off. its like it was just passing through and just so happen to see this pig, kill it, and left without a care in the world.


    The strong smell of blood permeates the air, making me almost puke on the spot, there''s broken trees like something huge pass into it, looking at the situation i think the pig died right away, i think it didn''t even know what attack it until it''s too late.. just what kind of monster kill this thing? i asked myself.

    the pig is around six to eight meters long and probably three and half meters tall and about two meters or so wide. to be able kill this thing  fling it over, just how monstrous is the thing that kill it, this thing weighs a few tons, and to be able to do all that like like its nothing, just thinking about it terrified me.


    the blood still looks fresh because fresh blood still flowing from the big wound on its body, but the pig is already dead so i immediately took some fresh meat from it, thinking and wondering how it taste like, Will it has the same taste as pork? Hehehe i cant wait....


    and then i notice a gem like thing near its heart, a part of the gem is sticking out coz of the wound, after taking it out, it''s about the size of a baby fist, dark green in color, is this the fabled monster core that i''ve only read in xanxia novel? If it is, did i just hit a jackpot? nice!!!


    I hastily put the gem in my bag along with about a kilo or two of meat, i wrapped the meat with leaves to prevent it from staining the other things on my bag, with the help of duct tape everything is completed easily, While thinking, (i need to get out of here fast) before a monster comes here.


    I was planning to leave immediately before the smell of blood attracts more ferocious monster, but when i saw the horn, i was thinking maybe i should get the horn too, i imagine it''ll be good weapon to have if i combine it with my bat and duct tape ill be a good weapon, but i quickly discarded the idea, why you ask?


    Its damned skin is too hard, my swiss knife can''t even cut a layer of its skin, even after spending five minutes of cutting it, thats why, so after trying for five minutes without progress i quickly give up and left the area.


    Looking at the dead body of this monster is like wake up call for me, i mean I''m aware there''s monster in the forest but i try hard to deny it, mainly b''coz if i accepted that there''s monster in the place I''m going into i may just choose to remain where i am, and stay there till i die of starvation or something,


    but the carcass reminds me of the grim reality that the monsters here are real and very dangerous, so the way i explore the forest is greatly change unlike before that I''m just leisurely exploring the forest like my own backyard, now every step i make every place i choose to go i observe it first and see if there''s any danger, after all in my mind monster here are all big, so how hard is it spot them right? I said to myself,


    Hours passed and I''m thankful that i didn''t encounter any monster so far, i saw some dangerous looking animals every now and then but as long as i carefully evade them it''s not a problem, but right now the biggest problem i have is, it''s getting darker and even though i can''t see the sun where i am, coz of the thick canopy of branches and towering tree, make it impossible to see where the sun is,


    so right now I''m looking for a safe place to spend the night, only an idiot would continue to explore a forest during the night, even in the earth i know, it''s dangerous to explore unknown jungle during the night and that is according to "Bear Grylls" a famous explorer who eats almost anything that exist in the forest, even the most disgusting ones that you will never think of eating, he eat anything edible in the name of survival or so he says, so in other words its idiotic to explore the forest full of monsters during the the night.


    Actually i spotted quite a few place that i think is a good place to stay the night with, but for some reason i didn''t choose them, maybe it''s intuition or instinct, i can''t tell but for some reason i feel that it''s not a good place to stay.


    Few more hours has passed and the forest is getting more and more darker, as i continue to look for suitable place to spend the night I''m getting more and more nervous as times go by and I''m getting more paranoid as well, coz a lot of time i can hear creaking and breaking of branches on my surroundings like something big walking slowly or stalking me, its really nerve racking.


    And as the range of my vision is getting smaller, my heartbeat is getting louder in return, and i didn''t dare use the lighter in fear of attracting unwanted monster attention, secondly i felt like  minute feel like hours. Yeah, its a same feelings when you are waiting for someone and he or she is late, and for every seconds you''re waiting, it feels like hours, the same feeling except this time my life is on the line so yeah instead of being annoyed, What I''m feeling is, I''m very scared..


    Finally a few moments later it''s already quite dark, to my relief, i finally found a suitable place to stay the night, and very quickly i walked there while being careful at the same time, its a small opening in the giant tree near the a huge rock very hard to see, so i was very glad i was able to spot it even from a distance.


    and what''s more amazing is just in front of it there are several of what look like an apple trees, it has quite a lot of fruits as well so i''m very happy, as soon as i arrived in the burrow i immediately check if there''s anything living in it, but i found that nothing was inside. so its all good,


    i was expecting that there''s some small animals living there but there''s nothing so that adds to happiness i felt, after i secured the burrow i quickly check the apple trees in front of it intending to pick a few of its delicious apples, excitedly i started picking a few apples, i choose around five or six apple that look delicious and quickly put it the bag and pick another two that i plan to eat right away, so i took a quick bite, reaction? Delicious! far more than any apples i tasted before, it''s very juicy and not too sweet, its just perfect, so as i happily enjoying the apple and walking slowly back to the burrow that i found earlier,


    Creeaaak! I immediately stop walking and quickly turn to the direction of where the sounds are coming from, and what i saw is a huge head of the monster with fangs glinting, without thinking my body move on its own, i started to run without looking back...

 Chapter 4: BIG trouble

    Chapter 4: BIG trouble.


    Crash! The panther use its huge body to ram the behemoth, almost smashing it into me, i quickly jump to the left narrowly avoiding the behemoth, that would likely send me over the cliff,


    just as the behemoth is recovering, the panther spits of what looks like a black ball of poison, the behemoth is quick to react jumping to the side then dashing to the panther to continue its assault, i never took my eyes from the battle, instinctively i know that anything can happen, and situations can change very quickly, and diverting my eyes can mean life and death for me.


    A whistling sounds of the behemoth''s tail can be heard smashing into the side of the panther, at extremely high speed, the fast tail attacked takes a chunk of its scales and reveals a black meat beneath it along with some dark red blood, stunning the panther for a split second.


    the behemoth use that chance to ram the spikes on its back to piercing the side of the panther, the spikes digged deep on the back of the behemoth, while simultaneously creating fountains of blood, the panther howls in pain...


    My mind is racing to think on what to do next, i know i can''t stay here or ill be drag to my death with this monsters, i need to wait for a chance to get away from the two fighting monster, but the problem is the only exits is being block by the two rampaging monsters, and behind me is a cliff!


    The panther lets out a sickening hiss like howl, it was so loud, my hands automatically covers my ears, i was in daze of a moment,


    blood flows from the side of the panther, the panther spins its huge body trying remove the behemoth that''s sticking on its side, and it looks like the behemoth is winning, and even from the distance i can see the numerous wound on the panther cause by the tail of the behemoth.


    The panther finally succeeded in throwing the behemoth back, blood spurts like fountain from its side, and holes the size of tennis ball can be seen through it, and a never ending blood flows out from it, staining the grounds red.


    compare to the panther the behemoth is relatively undamaged except for the bluish liquid on its mouth, at first i thought it was a poison of the behemoth, but it looks like it was blood, it was the  blood of the behemoth probably when the panther ram itself to the behemoth.


    And when i thought the battle is about to end in favor of the behemoth, the panther suddenly release a piercing howl and its body started to release a black smoke and its scales is starting to turn red, the blood that endlessly flows out from its side suddenly stops and the wounds is starting to heal in high speed and you can almost see it being healed, Wow such frightening healing abilities, i said in my mind.


    I thought the behemoth would quickly finish the fight before the panther finish what it''s trying to do, at least its what i would have done if i were the behemoth, that''s low? Hahaha maybe!


    But to me there''s no morality in life and death battle, no right and wrong, if you''re fighting for you''re life, i''ll do whatever it takes to win and survive, and i don''t believe in so called honorable death, there''s no honor in death, if you died everything in life is over everything stops, and i personally wants to enjoy myself first before dying, and maybe there''s life after death or maybe not, i personally believe there''s life after death and there''s heaven and hell, and didn''t think good deed is a way to heaven. Only faith can take you there, that''s what i believe...


    But even though i believe in life after death that doesn''t mean ill just let myself get killed, or let someone or something else just take my life, i will fight tooth and nails to survive, but that''s because i believe there is so much more amazing things to experience, as long as you are alive.


    coz only be surviving you can experience life, and enjoy the feeling of winning, and there''s no need to respect those who''re trying come for my life. Is how i feel......


    Ok back to reality.


    To my surprise the behemoth didn''t attack, it even jumps back, and just watch as the panther complete its transformation, i don''t blame him though, even i was curious on what''s happening on the panthers body,


    while taking cover on the back of some rock protruding near the edge of the cliff, the black smoke is getting  bigger and you can hear a "pika pika" sounds coming from the panther''s body, similar to a fire being doused by water slowly.


    The more i watch, the more the similarity is increasing, as the panthers body is changing, the more it look like a salamander, the transformation happens in less than a few seconds..


    Suddenly i can hear a crispy like sound similar to electric being discharged, coming from the behemoth, and i was correct, the behemoth''s body is glowing and started to release of what look like an electric discharge.


    WTF!!!  Just what is going on?


    Are they pokemon or something? (I ask myself) is this what a real life pokemon looks like?


    Darn i never thought i would get to see a real life pokemon, hahaha


    (i laugh) at the stupidity of the idea, but darn i wish i have a pokeball with me right now.


    (I said as i laugh in my mind)


    Shit its dangerous here, i can feel the changes in the atmosphere, like the air is being cooked or something, i can feel my body''s hair reacting to the electricity the behemoth is releasing,


    danger! danger! my spider sense is acting up...


    I need to get out of here before it''s too late.


    Even though i knew that there''s nothing much i can do about it, and the only exit is being blocked by these two pokemon like monster,


    should i risk it? and jump off the cliff? (I was thinking)

    and as i was contemplating on my next move, the behemoth is the first to break the ice, the ten like spike on the back of the behemoth began to float in the air on top of the behemoth, one by one the spikes began to separate on the back of the behemoth.


    floating in the air and being controlled by electricity, the glow on the body of the behemoth is getting brighter, this happen only in a few breath, then suddenly a huge fireball is coming fast in the direction of the panther into the behemoth, it happens when i was occupied watching the behemoth, suddenly a fireball is coming fast into the behemoth,


    It is quick to react but b''coz of the limited space on cliff, the behemoth has no way to effectively evade the incoming fireball and it knows it, suddenly five or so of its spikes are use to block the incoming fireball and the rest of spike was sent to counter attack to the panther assault.


    the quick action of the behemoth actually save my life coz if the fireball where to explode near me i''ll turn to ash in an instant.


    BOOM! a big explosion, the moment the fireball made contact with the spikes that the behemoth us as a shield to block the fireball, smokes and dust cover the entire cliff and i quickly hide in the back of the rock I''m using as a shield.


    small explosion and sounds of electricity is ringing continuously and flash of light can be seen inside the dust of smoke along with the growl and angry shout that comes from the monster fighting is all i see and hear. Because of the explosions, dusts covered the whole cliff and visibility is almost non existence,


    The rumbling sounds continues to reverberate in the area, and one can tell how fierce the fighting was, suddenly i can see huge body of monster flying in my direction CRASH!! Something crash in just in front of me it was the behemoth, blue blood can be seen in its mouth and on some wounds all over its body, burnt smells coming from the wounds permeates the air around me.


    Looking closely its front right legs is severely burnt you can even see smoke and what look like an expose bone along with some blue bloods flowing from it, it is breathing hard and you can see in its eyes that it''s almost at its limits, and a few more breaths and you can see a silhouettes of the panther, the wind is strong so the dust didn''t stays for long.


    and when the dust settles the panthers body is clearly visible, expressions of pain and fury is reflected in its eyes.


    In the body of the panther spikes can be seen stabbing on all over its body two is sticking on its front legs three on its upper shoulder the rest was on its lower body, one of its fang is broken and one of its eyes has huge slash mark and blood continuously flow from it all over its wounds.


    but it''s still very much alive its black eyes burning with hatred and it is continuously growling on the behemoth.


    they stared at each other as if waiting the one who makes the first move,


    I too was just quietly watching, and at the same time praying that they take each other out, so i can quickly get out of this predicament.


    suddenly the panther dashed as it runs out of patience, it runs straight to the behemoth mouths open wide sharp fangs visibly seen from it, there are also fire mixed with it and maybe poisons as well, as if wanting to bite the behemoth, its mouth is very big, and it can easily bites to any part of the behemoth.


    The behemoth as is aware of it, it suddenly rotates it body intending to hit the charging panther with it tail, BANG! the tail hit the side of the panther stabbing the trident like tail deep on its side, the impact is so loud it is almost deafening,


    but surprisingly the panther didn''t stop, with its mouth wide open it stubbornly takes a bite of the exposed neck of the behemoth, because of the sudden action of the panther the behemoth is slow to react and the big jaw and fangs sinks deep in its neck along with what look like a fire blast.


    i can see the fire and smoke coming out of its mouth, the behemoth howls in pain and continue to stab its tail all over the body of the panther probably expecting it to let go its neck, but instead the panther only became more ferocious and continue to charge dragging the behemoth along with him while it continuously releasing fire attack on the behemoths neck...


    Shit! i said out loud, i just realize both of them is coming fast straight at me, and i have no place to dodge, and behind me is a cliff.


    Cursing!! you fucking stupid lizard,  you really hate me do you? Spitting the words while cursing, after chasing me all over the forest and now you want to drag me with your stupid suicide plan, why don''t you just drop dead you stupid lizard!


    you really plan to drag me to your death, darn it! darn it! realizing on what''s going to happen next,


    Argggggggg i can''t help despairing.

    I know its sound stupid, but it''s enough to give me courage to survive, Crash! as the rock in front of me exploded from the impact from the two monster, part of the rock hit me from the chest! i spat a mouthful of blood, i gritted my teeth as i grab part of behemoths back legs.


    The feeling of weightlessness hit me, that''s when i realize we''re fall to our doom...

 Chapter 5: more trouble

    Chapter 5 more trouble


    As i was falling down the cliff and to my impending doom, i thought about a lot of things, my parents my friends heck even the guy who use to bully me when i was a kid, and of all the things i could or not do for them, the things i should''ve said but didn''t, and all the choices i''ve made weather right or wrong, i was thinking is this what they call, your life flash before your eyes when you''re about to die?


    Time seemed to slow down and details i normally don''t see is are so clear and vivid. I wonder how my parents are doing right now, hopefully better than i am.


    As i looked around around i was amaze on how i was able to see all the details that i don''t normally see, how is this possible normal peoples brain can''t process this much information in such a short amount of time, it allows me to think and see all the small details while moving in high speed, giving me time to think and plan things like i wasn''t moving in high speed.


    Ever since i came to this world i was constantly amaze on the things that are happening to me one after another, i don''t know what is happening to me right now, but whatever it is i''m thankful for it will help me greatly in surviving this predicament.


    As i looked at the eyes of the panther can see the desperation in its eyes, i bet this panther didn''t expect that by chasing after me he will end up him being in this situation where hes about to die, i can see the anger and fury in its eyes, as he is about meets his end.


    The behemoth is no different either, it was still not able to accept that its about to die, its eyes reflect a determination to survive at all cost, i can see its claws digging in the neck of the panther trying to forced it to let go of his neck, but the panther only tighten its jaw intending to keep on biting until he die, all of it i can see i can feel.


    You will probably says i''m just imagining things, and there''s no was able to see all that details in such a short time, and maybe you''re right, after all up until now i was still unable to duplicate all the things i did that day.


    I can feel the changes in my state of mind, im more relax now the anger is still there, anger to myself for being weak anger at the gods who let me experience this pain and suffering anger at the monster who drag me to my death, well i''m not dead yet but its only a matter of time, is what i thought, well its more like frustration than anger but for the most part i feel regret, regret on all the things i miss doing when i have a chance, regret that i wasn''t able to confess to my first love, regret on how i treated my parents and friends who worries about me, regret i wasn''t able to beat the shit of the guy who use to bully me as a kid, and most importantly regret that i wasn''t able to meet the pretty elven maiden I''ve been dreaming about,


    i mean what the heck is that, right?  I''ve only been here for two days on this magical fantasy world that i can only dream and fantasize about, and i''m already halfway to my death, so what the heck is that who can accept that right?


    No no no i refuse to die like this, i can''t die yet not yet! i''m only a few meters away from the raging water, my determination flares up, no way i can''t accept this, but there has to be a way to


    to survive! I don''t care about any injury i may have acquired, as long as i can survive i''ll think about the injury i suffered after i survive this ordeal.


    Even before my mind think of a solution my body is already moving on its own as i began to climb up to the body of the behemoth, thats it if i can climb up and let them take away most of the impact when we slam on the water i can escape an instant death, the problem is after that darn it, do i have no choice but to leave it to luck?

    I guess i have no other choice, as long as i can hold on to these monster and not get separated the damage of the waves on this rampaging river will greatly reduce on the impact on my body.


    I cant believe my survival depends on this monsters, that is also the main cause of my impending doom, oh the irony!


    As we near the water i grab the part of some spike on the back of the behemoth luckily it seems to run of of battery during its fight with the panther and stop discharging electricity, although it''s impossible to go to the panther coz its scales is still burning if not for that the panther is a much better choice to use as a shield b''coz of its smooth scales but thinking about it maybe it''s still better this way coz i''ll probably much more harder to hold into the panther bcoz it lacks a place to hold on.


    So i use all the strength i can muster to hold tight on the behemoth, as I prepared myself for the incoming pain..


    Booom!


    As we hit the surface of the water i felt the impact, it''s so strong it nearly knock me out, and almost release my hold on the back of the behemoth if not for the mental preparation i made before the impact i would have been knocked out completely.


    The pain surges in my whole body like a tidal wave, but gritted my teeth and continue to hold on, the first part is over, i can even taste the blood in my mouth because of the impact but i ignore all of it, luckily the flow of the water is strong, strong that even with the gigantic body of the two monster we didn''t sink into the river if we sink i''ll be nearly impossible to resurface b''coz of the strong current we would have been drag by the river without being able to surface, and that''s what i call game over...


    Contrary to what i expected, the river is very wide and on both sides endless cliff, and i see no shore, i darn it i curse! i was expecting to see a shore or something that will help me get back on dry land, but nothing and worse of all the current is getting faster and faster, if not for the sturdy and gigantic body of these monster we would have ended up being teared to pieces by the sharp rock sticking on the surface of the river.


    Every time we hit the protruding rocks in the river i can feel the impact but thankfully we didn''t end up being separated, i didn''t know how long we''ve been floating in the river, and bcoz of the darkness i can''t see where we going,


    And that add to the tension, i didn''t relax for a bit i know a small mistake will mean between life and death, and i know if i get separated to these monster ill end up being teared to pieces by rocks in the river, so i can''t allow myself to relax one bit..


    My strengths is fading fast for every impact my strength drains, suddenly i heard something....


    Noooo Please don''t let it be what i think it is... then suddenly i saw it despite the darkness i saw it....


    Oh come on give me a break i shouted!


    Just up ahead of us a huge waterfalls opens up like a giant gates of hell welcoming us....


    I prepared myself, i took several deep breath while i convince myself by saying i can do this, i can do this, just like the time we fell off the cliff, if i can survive the fall on a cliff surely i can survive this too, i repeated told myself.


    As we get closer and closer to the waterfall the rumbling of the water gets louder and louder to the points that i want to cover my ears coz of the loudness of it, 30 meters... 25 meters...


    I began to take quick deep breath, 15 meters... 5 meters.. And then i felt it, the weightlessness of falling, i close my eyes coz of the water hitting my face and then THUGGG a huge impact i instantly lost consciousness....

 Chapter 6: change

    Chapter: 6 change


    Aaaaaaaah...... I couldn''t help screaming, as the intense pain hit me like a train, wha.. I''m still alive?


    Hahaha.... Looks like i manage to survive, but haha... darn it... This is too cruel, looking at my conditions both my legs are crashed beyond recognition, my left hand is also useless from the shoulder to elbow the bones are crushed into countless pieces some of it is sticking out of my flesh, and on my side, parts of behemoths broken spikes are stabbing it, and even a smallest body movements results in indescribable pain.


    Wounds can be seen from all over my body, in some parts skin are peeled off, probably as a results of me holding so tightly in the razor sharp scales of the behemoth.


    Only my right hand seems to be ok.


    Blood can be seen pouring out of my body, from every big or small wounds in my body, i may have survived the ordeal but it''s only a matter of time before i follow the two monsters in front of me in hell.


    Erlier When i woke up i saw that next me, the two monster that looks to be dead, or at least i think they are, i don''t see any movement, and both doesn''t seems to be breathing either.


    But it matters not whether theyre alive to eat me or not, none of that matters, i''ll be dead either way, whether i die being eaten alive or die through cardiac arrest because of intense pain, or maybe from severe blood loss, either way I''m dead. darn it!


    After all the effort i did, in the end none of it matters, in the end ill die without accomplishing any of my objections, hahaha. in the end, I''m too useless too weak.


    My tears starts falling non stop, i just can''t accept that i''ll die just like that..


    I was in despair for a awhile, and i released all my frustration by crying, pathetic! i know! But i''m not bothered by it,  Im the type to not be ashamed by crying, but that doesn''t mean i''ll start crying in front of someone, i still have my dignity as a man, but i''m not ashamed to express myself through crying if situations call for it.


    It took me some time to recovered from the bitterness i felt.


    And after a while, i finally manage to calm myself up, looking around, i noticed that we fell inside the waterfalls, i assumed that were in the center of the waterfalls, its a huge cave being hidden behind the flowing waters, it looks like we fell inside the cave, somewhere in the middle of the waterfalls, instead of falling into bottom of the falls.


    Its a relatively huge cave even with both the panther and behemoth there''s still rooms for ten or more monster like them inside the cave.


    Too bad it''s still dark and i can''t see very clearly inside the cave, but i assume this must be a beautiful cave, i hope i will last till morning so i can at least see the full interior of this cave..


    Suddenly as i was contemplating on something, brrrrrr brrrrr. Huh? Something is vibrating in my bag, hmmmm am i receiving a call or something from my phone?


    But i remember clearly that i wasn''t able to find my phone when i was looking for it in my room earlier, maybe the reason i cant find it in my room was because it''s in my bag all along?


    hmmmm, brrrrr brrrr brrrr.. The vibration continues, do i have to look at it?


    Honestly i wasn''t in the mood to check it coz any movement i makes extreme pains follows...


    Brrrr brrrrrrr brrrrr... Shut up i shouted!


    I really dont want to move at all, darn it! slowly i gritted my teeth as i slowly reach on my back trying to remove the strap of my backpack in order for me to be able to open and check where or what''s causing that vibration, currently I''m in sitting position my back leaning on some spike protruding in the cave ground, when i woke up i was already this positions, if not i don''t know if i''ll be able to move into sitting position.


    Slowly i tried to remove the backpack in my bag using only my right hand, sweat drips from my forehead, my teeth gritting coz of the intense pain, i''m not sure how i was able to endure the intense pain, if it''s the old me, i''ll be screaming my lungs out, well im still screaming somewhat, just not very loud, but ill probably be screaming as loud as i can, if not for a fact that i know no one will be able to help me, except monsters.


    It took a lot of effort to finally put my bag in my lap, i feel my vision fading, from pain or blood loss, well i lost a lot of blood so its understandable. Slowly i tried to open my bag, it''s quite amazing how my bag is still completely intact with no visible damage after all the things that happen.


    Hmmmm the hell is this? There''s something glowing in my bag it''s dim but it''s visible, is it really my phone?


    Putting my hand inside my bag, i slowly reach for the thing that''s vibrating and the ones glowing as well, reaching i grab the thing that''s vibrating, it turns out it wasn''t my cell phone, its that rock i found in jo''s room, and its glowing as well.


    Hmmm i wonder why? I slowly check it, but i can''t find the reason as for why it is vibrating, then suddenly i felt a sudden pain from my chest, and i drop the stone to my legs near my knees as i tried to reach for it, but because of the pain in my chest  i vomited blood, the blood ended up bieng splattered on the glowing rock, and when it does the rock started to glow brighter then it started floating for a second or two, WTF!


    Then without warning it shoot straight to the dead body of the behemoth, and then sounds of breaking can be heard from the inside body of the behemoth, it is like being eaten from the inside, then suddenly the body of the behemoth shook and started shaking hard, then its started shrinking it happen so fast i didn''t even have time to be surprise a few breaths later the behemoth huge body is gone, and the only thing remains is its gem like crystal a size of my fist dark yellow in color, thud!


    The gem drops on the ground, and the glowing rock continue to float where the body of the behemoths use to be, then the glows of the rock started to change from pale blue to dark yellow it floats there for a second or two, then shoot to the panther next, the same thing happens to the body of the panther, in no time it started to shrink even faster than the behemoth, in the end just like the behemoth only the gem remains.

    Again the color of the rock started to change again from dark yellow to dark purple.


    Its floats there for a couple of seconds, i was watching it closely waiting for what its going to do next, it got me excited.


    I mean i''m going to die any seconds now, so i was happy i was able to see something interesting before i die, and then my smile turn to frown into fear, why?


    Because that damn rock started to shoot straight at me and i can''t do anything about it, so this is how i die, i said to myself, well its not bad dying this way, i will leave no dead body behind, so no one will be able to see my ugly dead mug when i die, i only hope i wont feel too much pain, the rock shoot straight into my chest weird i didn''t feel any impact or pain....


    Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh!!! Ahhhhhhhhh!


    I screamed! the pain i felt is a hundred times more painful than any pain i felt before, and that''s saying something, after all the things happen to me, i can honestly says i have felt pain no normal people can endure.


    I passed out immediately, only to wake up moments later coz of the pain, did i woke up only to feel more pain? and immediately i passed out again, don''t remember exactly how many times the cycle repeats but i know it continued for a long time, i remember thinking how the hell I''m still alive, did this rock enjoy torturing me or something?


    I don''t exactly remember what happened that day, i mean let''s face it every time i woke up because of the pain just a few seconds later i''m already passed out. Only to woke up again.


    So on and so forth.


    Until one day when i woke up expecting to feel pain but nothing i didn''t feel any pain at all, i opened my eyes and see what exactly happens during the time i was in pain, but what i saw greatly surprised me i was expecting to see a few of my body parts missing, but not only none of my limbs missing all of them are intact and completely recovered, even my legs thats supposed to be completely crashed is completely healed even the numerous wounds on my body is no where to be found, i was speechless!


    I was completely dumbfounded, i started to check my body and saw that my body''s completely recovered, i feel great i mean i feel really great like my body is overflowing with energy i started searching for the rock but i cant seems to find it, i know that rock is the one responsible for my miraculous recovery i mean i even forgot all the pain i felt, because of a sudden excitement.


    What the hell happen? How is this possible. All this questions runs in my mind, hahaha what does it matters! i''m alive and fully recovered, i don''t care how it happens, well i still want to know but, hahahaha....


    Yeahhhhhh! i shouted in joy, it looks like i was given a second chance in life, looks like someone is still looking after me, don''t worry whoever you are, i promise you i won''t let you down,


    Hahahaha Hahahaha bwhahahaha! I started laughing like a mad person, well i cant help it i was just too happy, and i told you im the type to not afraid or ashamed to express my feelings.. Ha ha ha whew, trying to catch my breath coz of over laughing....


    I got a huge smile on my face, looking up "i said" thank you, thank you!

    Honestly i wasn''t really thinking about all the things i have before, i''m was just too happy that i felt like thanking someone!


    I started giving myself a full check up, i notice that my clothes in tattered, well thats to be expected, i mean after all the things that happen, itll be weird if my clothes are still intact.


    I was looking of what''s left of it im completely topless but my pants is mostly intact exept for a few tear every here and there, i also noticed a strange tattoo on my forearm a tribal like circle and in its center something like an eye like shape in it,


    both of my forearm has the same tattoo symbol in it, and sore some reason i felt some sort of power coming from it, did i just gain some kind of superpower? I ask myself, i remember reading about a certain protagonist who manage to become super OP after he gains a wierd tatoos on his body.


    bwahahaha! How awesome would it be, if i really gains a super power, yeah i really hope so!


    So immediately started to experiment to see if i really did acquired a super power, hadoken! Hahaha guess not, caaappptaiiin baaarbell! (Local superhero) silence....... Darn it, i even did some embarrassing hero phrased and still nothing happens...


    kamehamehaaaaaa! Hmmm too much? Sigh...


    I tried different type of weird poses to see if i can activate my so called superpower but after a long time of embarrassing poses and annoying catch phrases heroes said to active their power, i got one big nothing.. FUCK!!! Was i mistaken? I mean what other purpose this tattoo have if not a super power darn it...


    Maybe it need a catalyst or something, or maybe i''m just expecting too much, and this is really nothing but a tattoo, sigh...


    well there''s nothing i can do about it right now, i guess i just have to wait for it to manifest itself, sigh. i hope it manifest soon, i mean i really want a super power, not bcoz it is cool or something, well maybe a little about that, but mainly because i need to find a way to fight back, i can''t let the things happen before repeats it self, i just can''t let that happen, i need to be able to defend myself and fight back from anything that want to harm me or kill me.


    So other than the tattoo on my forearms, i didn''t see any other in my body, but at that time i failed to noticed that on my back a huge symbol same as the ones on my forearms except the ones on my back is faintly glowing...

 Chapter 7: new beginning

    After checking if my body ok, i walked to the place where the two monsters use to be, and in their place two gem like thing can be seen on the ground, i also decided to call the gems as monster core mainly because it comes from monster and because i''m familiar with the term after all almost every novel i have read that has a monster with a gem like things in their body calls the thing monster core.


    Alright it''s decided ill call you guys monster core from now on, so i picked the two cores up and immediately i felt the boundless energy coming out of it, Hmmmm.


    Strange i didn''t feel anything when i picked the boar monster core.


    So i went back to my backpack trying to look for the core ive found inside the boar like thing, got it,


    hmmm i can also feel the energy in this core, even though when i first found it i didn''t feel anything.


    As i thought its not the core, its my body that''s change, hmmmmm...


    Is this the effect of the tattoo on my hands?


    Well maybe! But there''s no use thinking about it, sooner or later ill be able to find the reason for it, thinking about it will only give me headaches.


    so i started to compare the three cores and i can feel the difference in them, the core i got from the boar is a lot weaker compared to the cores of both the panther and behemoth, well thats obvious even their size is different, but cores of the boar and the panther has the same type of energy in them, there''s only a slight difference in the panther core.


    I can feel two type of energy in the core of the panther, and it is slightly bigger and has more energy in it.


    As for the behemoth''s core the energy in it is different from the both the boar and panther, but the amount of energy is slightly the same as the panther''s core.


    If my guess is correct the cores difference is like this,


    Boar core= lvl 1 earth element


    Behemoth= lvl 2 lightning element


    Panther = lvl 2 fire/earth


    The lvl is referring to the amount of energy the cores have, and cores has their own elements of course all of it is just my guess but i feel like it''s more or less correct.


    I also tried to check the crystal flower that i found, i was expecting it to be in pieces, but to my surprise its actually completely intact and in good condition.


    No matter how many times i looked at it, it really is a beautiful flower, i tried checking it to feel if i can also feel some kind of energy from it, hmmmm. I felt some kind of energy it''s just i can''t tell what it was, or what element...


    i didn''t bother thinking too much about it, after all i decided to not think too much on thing i can''t explain, until i found someone who can explain to me all the things regarding to this world, and besides spending more time on things i can''t explain is only me asking for a headache..


    So after checking the crystal flower and see that nothing i can do about it for now i decided to return it to my backpack..


    but when tried to put the crystal flower back in my bag its root accidentally touch the tattoo in my left forearm, suddenly the flower is instantly sucked inside the tattoo, i almost jump back in surprise.


    And then there''s a huge energy suddenly flows from my left hand to my whole body, it felt cold and amazing at the same time, like drinking ice cold water in a hot summer day, it''s very refreshing and at the same time i can feel the energy being sucked from every part of my body like a rain in the desert it absorbed all of it, i was so surprised i stood there with my mouth wide open for long time,


    WOW! Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha, then i started to laugh like a crazy person, hahaha i got it! I got it! I immediately understood what these symbol supposed to be, immediately i picked the three cores and put them one by one on my forearm and right away it didn''t disappoint me, as soon as i put the earth monster core from the boar, i instantly felt the energy flows into my body i can feel my skin hardening like it''s being tampered with, like steel being reforge to increase its strength.


    its not an unpleasant feeling but not a good feeling either, it felt like a thin layer of rough skin wrapping my whole body, and sure enough my defense and my strength has slightly increased.


    Although there''s no visible changes in my body, but i can feel the changes inside my body and that what matters.


    And soon as i put the panther core the fire energy and earth energy similar to the boars core flows in my body again my body defense and strength greatly increases, the fire energy went in the center of my chest and stays there creating a whirlpool like energy of fire, that gently but continuously flows, Like a never ending whirlpool.


    Its strange although it''s not like i can really see the change happening inside my body, its more like i can visualize it in my mind, i can imagine it vividly it is an amazing yet confusing feeling especially for someone like me who lives in the modern world without magic, very strange feeling...


    And at the same time i understood what that represent i have no idea why or how i manage to understood instantly but i did and that''s what matters, i flick my fingers and instantly a small flame appeared on tip of my fingers. WOW!


    Hahahahaha again i started to laugh like a mad man, this is nice, i can''t believe i can now control fire although it''s still weak but it doesn''t matters as long as i can control it, sooner or later ill be able to increase its output. Now it''s your turn, i said to the dark yellow core I''m holding in my hands, don''t disappoint me ok.


    And soon enough the moment the core touch my forearm the core is sucked into it and a great flow of lighting energy spreads in every corner of my body, and instantly every muscle in my body started to relaxed and become more flexible then the remaining went straight in the center of my chest creating a yellow like ring of flowing energy, now there''s two type of energy flowing into it one is a thin layer of red and the second is the yellow energy twice as thick as the red energy, hmmmm! i see so thats how it is...

    Because the panther is a dual energy monster it has two type of energy inside its body but that was also the reason the power of the elements is only half of the original power, ok! let me explain so its easier to understand.


    So for example, if the body has 100% energy, if you are a single elemental then 100% of the energy will be given to your element, consequently if you are a dual elemental then the energy will be divided into your two element, so on and so forth.


    But of course the division of energy depends on your elemental affinity as well, so if you have multiple element in your body, depending on your affinity to the element, the higher the affinity you have to the elements the greater the energy in your body will be given to it, it''s quite simple if you think about it.

    Because it means that all my natural energy will be concentrated in my physical attribute, and besides when it come to monster core now that i manage to acquire the power to fight back, i will be able to hunt monster if i wanted to, i may not be able to hunt strong monster like the behemoth or the panther but there''s plenty of weaker monster i can hunt easily, so sooner or later hunting a behemoth class monster will be possible as well, and as long as i don''t get impatient all is well....


    Hahaha... I''m so happy my grin never left my face...


    And true enough i can now create electrify in my fingers, it''s a wonderful feelings it''s really hard to describe, and although i was endlessly cursing the monster that brought me closer to death, now I''m secretly thanking them..


    After playing with my new toys for awhile, i decided to clean myself of all the soot and dried blood in my body, i smell kind of bad as well so i decided to take a bath...


    So i took my clothes off and i tried cleaning myself in the waterfall near the cave entrance, and looks like i was right on my earlier assessment i really am in the center of the giant waterfalls, the water flowing in the waterfall is so strong and thick it''s impossible to see through it, looking at the side i can''t tell how wide this waterfall are, and judging from the sound of the water hitting below i say I''m roughly about 100 or so meters above ground, if i jump I''m confident i''ll be able to survive, with my new body, but won''t be unharmed either so jumping is only a last resort.


    After cleaning myself up i immediately put on some new clothes in my backpack, took out the boar''s meat, i was hoping its not spoiled yet unfortunately the apples are crushed during my ordeal, so there''s nothing i can do about it, after cleaning my bag and organize my things i immediately unwrapped the meat that''s being wrapped by leaves, nice!

    looks like the meat is still fresh maybe because the meat is from a magical monster, so it won''t spoil easily.


    So i tried gathering some firewood to be used when i try to barbecue the boar''s meat, it''s not hard to find woods in this cave, the cave entrance is littered with broken wood and other things, after collecting some of it i started to create fire using my finger and soon enough i manage to set the woods in fire even though the woods is soaking wet, if i just relied on a lighter i''m not sure how long before i manage to create fire.


    So im really thankful to my newly acquired power, i use some of the branch that i trim using my Swiss knife to make a barbecue sticks.


    And So i immediately started cooking the meat, and moments later i can already smell the meat being cooked, regrettably i didn''t have any spices, but there''s nothing i can do about it, later on i will try to acquire some spices to be used in cooking, wow its delicious, like a high quality beef, yeah it really taste like high quality beef, not like pork, i mean i expect it to taste like pork because the it comes from a boar liking monster.


    well anyways its very delicious and before i know it, i manage to eat all the meat, looks like even my appetite has greatly increase, burp!

    Finally it''s time for me to move on, and start exploring this place, during my two weeks stay here i discovered a lot of things about this cave, i found that there''s a passage leading deeper into the cave, and i haven''t seen any creatures living inside the cave, normally there should be bats or insect living in caves, but here i can''t find any, maybe because it''s not easy to enter this place from the waterfalls entrance, so maybe that''s why there''s no animals near here, well i didn''t really try venturing deeper into the cave.


    So i''m not sure if there''s really no living creatures in this cave.


    There''s also several type of herbs growing inside the cave but not in the same caliber as the crystal flower, but i didn''t try picking any of it, mainly because i didn''t know what they are! I''m afraid i''d accidentally picked a poisonous one, so until i know more about them ill just leave them be.


    And i also discovered that jumping into the waterfalls to get down is not an options anymore, why?


    Because i discovered that at the bottom of the falls are full of rocks and it''s almost impossible to aim where to land where there''s no rocks when jumping down, unless you can double jump or fly or something, jumping is a no go, so my only options is to go deeper into the cave.


    After making preparations i went deep into the cave without hesitations, after traveling for a about half an hour, i finally encounter a fork in the road, even so i haven''t encounter any animals yet, this time i choose to go right while i try to make a mental note of my choices just in case i need to get back here, choosing the right path seems to be a correct choice, coz i finally found the first sign of another person since i arrived here, i saw some old camping area, unfortunately this place haven''t been used in a long time there''s not much to see here except some old cookware that''s long been rusted an old bed and some firewoods that''s been rotted as well, i didn''t find any dead remains, so that''s a good sign that there''s a possible exit here..


    Moving on i saw some more herbs and old weapons like rusted sword and some broken wooden shield but on closer inspection both are unusable, i notice that even though i''m deeper into the cave it''s not actually dark, because of the glowing moss covering the caves wall and ceilings...


    Few more hours of venturing into the cave, i heard some kind of hammering. Like what you hear in a blacksmith or something, not like I''ve been to a blacksmith before, but something like that.


    slowly walking towards the noise, the closer i get the louder the hammering sounds rings echoing into the cave, finally i can see a shadow of something in the far corner of the cave, hmmm... Ding~ ding~ ding~ whoooo hooo! (€¡ê£¤$&@£¤¡ê€^ £¤¡ê€€+%# ¡ê¡ê€%%##%....!!!)


    Huh what''s that? *I asked myself* curious i walk closer but carefully after all i didn''t know weather its friendly or hostile, i ready myself for battle just in case its hostile. And at the end of the passage there''s a right turn , and in there the sounds are coming from, finally i''m a few steps away from the corner i can hear it saying  something or maybe is it singing or something coz there''s a tone mix in its words so i think it''s singing.. But damn! what an awful sound if it was, i mean i heard quite a few bad singer before but this tops it all...


    Peeking into the corner trying to see what kind of creature doing that awful sound, and as i peek our eyes meet, huh? ("£¤¡ê€€%#¡ê£¤€ £¤¡ê€%@&$"$) the moments our eyes met it started shouting something and i started stepping back trying to ready myself of its attack, but it never come, looking at it closely it look like a fairy just a foot or so tall four insect like wings can be seen from his back, (@&$ ¡ê€£¤%...?) Huh it''s saying something but i can''t understand what it''s saying...


    Suddenly he run towards the back of the cave, oh and yeah its a he, it has an appearance of a middle age man or something, i just stood where i''m standing not daring to follow it, in fear of traps or something, a few minutes later the middle age man like fairy returns and he''s holding some kind of round like blue marble, he toss it to me, reflexively i caught it with my hand, if it''s a bomb i would have lost a arm, luckily it''s not, and he''s gesturing to me that i should swallow the blue marble, huh? You want me to eat it? I ask?

    Oh and my tattoo is apparently called [higop rass] or "great devourer" according to Lupa, every earth gods and goddess has their own blessings or "gift" that they bestowed to whoever lucky enough to acquired their legacy...


    So in other word this [skal] or gaia''s heart, is greater goddess earth legacy, and i just happened to pick it up!

    So back to reality, I Can''t believe just a few weeks back, i was struggling to kill a single gremlins, now i can fight ten of them without problem, *i said to myself* as i was picking up the [gremlins] core, [gremlins] core is light brown in color, it''s an earth element core, the main reason i was able to improve greatly and manage to fight several gremlins at a time, earth core increase my strength and defence, and although [gremlins] core is only lvl one, a lot weaker than the boars core i found before, but because of their number, it''s more than enough to help me increase my str/deff. Several times, just absorbing one or two core does not increase my str/deff much but after hundreds of gremlins core the changes are significant...

    [zion]: oh right, here, thanks,  "handing the dagger back to lupa" but man i didn''t think this cave is so vast, i''m starting to missed the sun and the trees, but Lupa what''s that dagger made off, when you handed it to me i thought it''s just a normal old dagger that you forge out of the materials you found in this cave, but as i stated to use it, darn that dagger can cut through bones like cheese, without it the fight with [gremlins] will be ten times harder!

    So i walk to the right side of our camp, this is my side of the camp this is where i sleep, immediately i sit crossed leg and started to absorbed the gremlins core, the gremlins core is only a size of thumbnail, giving a pale light brown glow, in the last 5 days i''ve been saving all the gremlins core i''ve found, i wanna know just how much changes itll make by absorbing them in rapid succession, right now i have 106 gremlins core in my bag, i put the cores in the ground in front of me, and started absorbing them one after the other, in less than five minutes i was able to absorbed them all...


    Nice! as i checked the flows of energy in my body, after absorbing all the lvl1 core my physical str. And deff. Has more than doubled, i imagine my earth resistance is off the roof after absorbing all the lvl 1 earth cores.


    I meditated for a awhile trying circulate my energy into all parts of my body, i''ve been doing this practice the moment i gain the power to absorbed the monster cores, at first i can only move my energy slowly, but as time move on my proficiency has increased a lot, what took hours to do i can now to in ten minutes or so, after practising for a awhile i heard Lupa calling me..

Thats your senses connecting with your soul those ring are inside your soul, and that makes you a martial cultivator, you are in beginners stage in fact you''re not even considered beginner, for one to be considered beginner one need to be able to control their soul to sense the natural energy in the world and gather that energy into your body to form a martial core, you''ll be considered a rank 1 martial cultivator.. So with all that said, what kind of martial arts you need? of course cultivation method is a given, so what else do you need?


    [Zion]: "whats with the quick change of... Che.. Nevermind" i see... there''s many kind as well... Well for now what i need most is how to better cultivate, and any movement specialize martial arts will be a big help in our current state!

    After cooking and eating some food... A few hours has passed but Lupa still hasn''t come out.. So i started practicing on how to control my soul better.... And just like that 2 days has passed...


    [Zion]: whew! Finally i can control my soul to detect the surrounding natural energy, but absorbing it into my body is a different issue... Well lupa isnt back yet so i guess i''ll hunt for now.


    Hunting some rank 1 and rank 2 monster, cooking, eating, cultivating.... And just like that 10more days has passed...


    [Zion]: heh heh heh success! "Putting my hands on the air" finally i was able to form my martial core... It took me 5 days to finally able to absorb natural energy, and another 5 days to form a martial core but the core is not complete yet a little bit more to solidified it..


    3 days later my body started to shake and a huge amount of black smelly liquid pours out of my body through my sweat glands, this process takes about 30 or so minutes.. Afterwards i open my eyes and everything change, my eyesight become more clearer like i can see an ants in 100 or so meters so clearly not to mention i''m in a cave and it''s quite dark here, so one can only imagine how much my eyesight improved, and i feel so light like i can jump a 100 meters with no problem.. If only i''m not in the cave i would have done so, my physical strength has increased greatly im atleast 10x stronger and faster now...


    [Zion]: so this is what it feels like to be a martial cultivator, it''s a lot better than what i thought it would be heh heh heh, amazing and i''m only in beginners stage, imagine if i advance more maybe i''ll be able to fly as well heh heh heh sweet! Huh?

    So i sit cross legged in front of Lupa, then he touch my forehead with his finger... And a huge amount of information is being downloaded in my brain...

And A reminder the cultivation methods i share with you, you can only choose one after choosing one don''t ever try to practice the other, if you do it will lead to all sorts of problem with your cultivation in the future, all other arts that you didn''t choose will disappear after a while, now just relaxed and let your soul absorbed the information you need naturally...

    I was expecting some pain when i realize what is happening but no pain, it''s unpleasant like an itch you can''t scratch but surprisingly i''m quite fine with it...

    [Zion]: this is amazing! Right i go meditate right away...


    Going back to my side of the camp i sit crossed legged above my makeshift bed, and started cultivating, right away i found the information Lupa passed into me, [twelve divine step] cultivation art, just like the name implies it has twelve rank, 1st step *divine senses* so this is the first step, to form your divine senses, [shadow shift] agility art, wow this is amazing....


    There''s a lot of information and method regarding the skill, no...  it''s more like a memory of all the previous owner of the skill is being transferred into my soul, it''s like watching a movie about the previous owner of the skill the way he use it the way he execute the skill, but the more i watch the more i become the one doing the skill, it''s very mysterious i don''t know how long i stayed in that zone but i keep on watching until i''m confident i can use the skill easily....


    [Zion]: (opening my eyes i''ve got a huge smile on my face) amazing.. (Closing my eyes again and i started to execute the first step of the [twelve divine step] *divine senses*)


    Forming a divine senses is easy executing the skill is a different story, even with all the knowledge and experience embedded in My soul i still find it hard to do.. Extending my soul so i can feel and see my surrounding, without using my eyes, i find it quite hard maybe because i''m originally from a place where this kind of thing is impossible to do, instead of saying i lack skill to do it it''s more like my mind is preventing me from doing it, because my mind find it illogical... But with some perseverance i was able to it, although i can only perceive  a few meters around me, i was still able to execute it, so i was very happy, but also very tired, executing the skill requires a lot of energy, Immediately i started the second function of *divine senses* and that is to sense  the natural energy around me, and to circulate it around my body and eventually creating a martial core, but since i already have a martial core, all i did is to practice on how to circulate the energy faster, so this is right way to form a martial core, but still to think i was able to form a core without relying on cultivation art am i considered a genius? Heh heh heh... I need to master this as soon as possible...


    [Lupa]: hmmm that guy is quite amazing, to think he manage to form a martial core on his own without any cultivation art and in just a few days... Maybe just maybe he maybe able to fulfill my race greatest wish...

    It''s been 20 days or so since i started cultivating [twelve divine step] and [shadow shift] i''ve received a lot martial arts skills from Lupa, but this two i like the most [shadow shift] allows one to move from shadow to shadow and at the same time increase one speed up to 10 times or so by reducing one''s weight and by tempering muscles with battle qi, but i also discovered what makes martial cultivator so frightening is because natural energy can be used to strengthen both mana and battle qi, by combining both natural energy and battle qi the effectiveness is increased infinitely, it depends on how much natural energy u use to power up battle qi or mana, but of course it''s not without risk the more natural energy is infused the more unstable and harder it is to control.


    And because i''m using it to strengthen my muscles the more natural energy i infused the greater the burden in my body in worst cases i''ll be paralyzed for a couple of days, i remember the first time i tried to exceed my limit i ended up puking blood for 2 days and my whole body hurts like hell, and that''s with the help of [skal] "gaia heart" without it i may have died right there, so it''s dangerous yes but with the right application and control it''s a terrifying weapon to have..


    What i didn''t know back then is combining natural energy with another type energy is next to impossible... And the ability to combine different type of energy is an ability only i can do, and this ability will allows me to stand at the top, and be called "Unrivaled"


    Swish.... Swish.. A shadow blur keep dancing in the small cave and yes that''s me, for the past 20 days i didn''t stop training and cultivating except for eating and other bodily needs, even sleeping is replaced with meditation and cultivation, so it''s no surprise my power has increased tremendously..


    [Lupa]: hey zion! Just how long are we going to stay here? we been here for over 30 days and we haven''t moved since then.


    [Zion]: heh heh.. sorry i just can''t stop cultivating it''s quite addicting it''s the first time ive feel this way.. Dont worry im planing on moving on in a few hours i need to search for a more powerful monster to test everything i''ve learned...


    [Lupa]: don''t get careless! (Angry look) one wrong move here and we will both die!


    [Zion]: i know, i know don''t be angry, i know the risk and i don''t plan on dying here,


    After a few hours and making all preparation it''s time to head out, the first monster we encounter is a giant spider about 2 meters tall and about 4 meters wide, this is the most scariest thing i saw in my entire life, this thing activates a primal fear i didn''t know i have, the spider legs are all like sickle, and razor sharp, it''s very fast, if by chance we encounter this spider before i started cultivating, its game over for us, but as i am right now the spider isnt much of a challenge, it''s fast but i''m faster and the spider body is quite weak 1 strike is all it took to kill it, Lupa extracted some venom from the spider, and i took the core and we move on...


    Bang! Bang!


    [Zion]: that''s the last of them! Whew.. (Phanting) I''m going to take a rest for a awhile i''ll leave the rest to you!


    I groggily walk back to the camp when reach my bed i just lost consciousness...


    [Lupa]: no problem!


    15 days has passed since we depart from our last campsite, i''ve killed countless monster but there''s still no sign of exit, and 2 days ago we found a nest of monster like mole, it has no eyes, it uses its whiskers to detect vibrations and locates its prey, it has sharp claws, its about a size of a puppy but its skin is covered with steel like scales, and the most annoying of all it can burrow into the ground and appear everywhere from the side of the cave from the ceilings, and then shoots like a missile with its claws extended it rotates its body like a drill and shoot like a missile, very annoying, and because of its size and number, my shadow shift skill and my concentration  is really put into the test this is the hardest battle ive fought so far, by body is full of cuts and my clothes is dyed with my blood, i can''t retreat because if i did Lupa will be put in danger 1 hit is all it take kill lupa, the mole is rank 3 it''s not much considering my level of power but this damn critters really knows how to organize its attack, they don''t attack in 1 or 2 at a time, they attack in all direction and at most 10 or so at a time, it took me 2 days to completely wipe them out and  i''m exhausted both body and mind.


    i don''t know how many times i came close to death during that fight, but i have to say my earning during that fight is enormous my shadow shift efficiencies has greatly increase to the point that i''m using the skill unconsciously, shadow shift has integrated into my body and soul that i can use it without thinking, but greatest rewards is my mastery of twelve divine step, ive reach the the previously unreachable 4th step energy circulation, it allows me to continuously replenish my energy during battle, normally i need to do a set of movement to replenish my energy quickly this method has twice the efficiency compared to meditation but the movement if quite bizarre and difficult to do to make it effective in battle, but during that fight i manage to incorporate those set of movement in my way of fighting, and what''s more i''ve been doing it unconsciously, and that allows me to fight for 2 Days without rest.. But it''s still so taxing to the mind, so even though i still have energy my mind is on the verge of collapse, after that fight without knowing i slept for 3 days straight...

    [Lupa]: Good so you''re finally awake! Here i made you a new clothes with all the materials i have so far, the design is a work in progress but it''s still better than your old clothes..


    I looked at my clothes or what remains of my old clothes and well one word "rag" yeah it can''t be considered a clothes any more, so i quickly changed into a clothes or a robe coz thats what it looks like, it''s a little heavy coz its made of different monster hide but it doesn''t hinder my movements so it''s all good to me.


    [Zion]: thanks man! How long have i been sleeping?


    [Lupa]: 3 days! You''ve slept for 3 days straight! So how''d you feel?


    [Zion]: hmmm.. I feel great looks like all my wounds are healed, not even a scar remains, i''m as smooth as a baby heh heh heh.. My body is stronger too, but i''m hungry my stomach is growling non stop without my control heh heh..


    [Lupa]: well you''re right on time i just finish cooking! let''s eat, i have something i need to discuss with you as well.


    [Zion]: cool let''s go!........... Nice this is delicious can''t believe you manage to cook a meal like this without any spices, looks like your cooking has level up too, (said it while grinning)


    [Lupa]: ha ha ha... I''m a genius after all, ha ha ha....


    [Zion]: so anyways you want to talk to me about something?


    [Lupa]: (serious face) yeah about that 2 days ago while you are still sleeping i decided to scout ahead and i discovered that about 2 to 3 hours down the cave i i i found it!


    [Zion]: found what?


    [Lupa]: the basilisk!


    [Zion]: oh that heh heh whats with scary face i thought you found some demon in the cave scared me there for a second.. Killing a rank 5 monster is like taking a candy from a baby!


    [Lupa]: what? Why would you take a candy from a baby? What kind of evil person are you? To take candy from a baby what evil... (Said with an angry look)


    [Zion]:  huh! That''s just a saying! Why are you... Nevermind what i''m trying to say is killing that basilisk is not a problem...

    [Lupa]: judging from what i saw 2 days ago there''s at least a hundred of them..

I mean were still alive aren''t we just how many time we came close to death and still we are here! Heh heh heh.. So don''t worry..


    "darn it! there has to be a way, i can''t show my weak side to Lupa just looking at him he''s already given up! I have to encourage him otherwise he may decides to return back and just stay here forever"


    [Lupa]: ok (looking depressed) here are all the core we''ve collected for the past few days maybe with this you''ll have a better chance against the basilisk, don''t worry i already decided to go with you no matter what if you died fight i''ll die with you...

    It took 2 days to absorbed all the cores and another 15 days to get used to my new power ups! And another 30 days to make preparation for battle....
