 chapter one: the beginning

    i woke up with sore eyes and saw all the lush greenery that was beautiful. birds were chirping and the sun was dazzling, i could also hear some roars.


    "...wait... roars?" i immediately got up and started running away from the source of the loud roar that was nearing me, my body felt light and strong, but felt really weak.


    "THIS IS LIKE WHEN I WAS FIVE YEARS OLD!!!" that feeling of having a really strong and a healthy body, but lacks stamina, yes! this was the feeling.


    i ran and ran until i couldn''t run no more, i found a hollow tree that was on the ground and quickly hid inside. the ground rumbled as the roars started coming closer, i closed my eyes and started begging in a whispered voice that the monster will not find me.


    the roaring got louder and louder until it stopped.


    "...huh?.... is it gone?" i got out of the hollow and got up.


    "thank god.. hmm?." before i could even scream i got bitten from behind and lost everything below my torso, my warm flesh pouring out and the smell of blood was all i could smell.


    the monster that attacked was black in color and was beautifully covered in shimmering scales. too bad because i think its a horrendous monster.

    "WHAT THE FU-" the monster was just happily eating away, while i am here starting to loose consciousness.


    "found the beast!!" i heard a lady''s voice from afar, the monster that was eating me was now riddled with arrows that.. from my guess came from the lady and her group.


    it ran away, the pursuers started chasing it and i was left alone, that was until a figure stood next to me. i couldn''t see a face but the silhouette says that its a girl.


    "poor child..." she started weeping in grief. i was starting to like her because nobody would cry for me, but she all of a sudden tarted stabbing me in the torso with a dagger.


    "too bad child! if it wasn''t for your stupidity it wouldn''t have fucking grown stronger from your flesh!" wow.. talk about a complete 360. well i don''t know how i am still alive, but im starting to loose consciousness.


    "so stressed, but this will have to do. bye! hope you rot" and with that i am once again alone.


    ugh if only god would''ve given me a heads up about the dangers of this world and how it worked, but now im probably dead.

 Chapter two: the purgatory

    "Huh? I know this place, I''m back in purgatory" purgatory was a place where souls like me go to. The place was mostly where souls gets sentenced to heaven or hell, depending on their karma.


    "Oh! Mathew you''re here again..." A four winged angel approached me with a dissatisfied look. The look where they don''t want to see me.


    "Yeah, seems like I died again." I said.


    "Well that can''t be. It hasn''t even been minutes and you''re already dead. Just wait a minute and I''ll get God" with a flap of his wings he flew higher and higher into the clouds.


    "I wonder if I''m being missed by my grandchildren." Truth be told I was actually a senile old man, but because of cancer I died. I thought that I''ll be finally at peace, but it seemed like that this was not the end.


    When I came here in purgatory I thought that I would be sentenced to hell because of me being an atheist, but it seemed like that I had a balanced karma. I was fought over on wether I''d be going to hell or heaven, but God came down and gave me a second chance.


    At first I thought that he would be having a savior vibe attitude, but no. He had the aura of a kind and warm person, he had no definitive shape or body and he appeared on holy bright light.


    He said that he treats all people equally and that they all should be given a chance, but that depended on how they lived their life.


    So yeah, I got reincarnated with no information about the world and died.

    Gabriel descended and was dismissed by God. Since god had no body, I was just staring at a bright light.


    "Tell me child, why have you returned?" The deep voice known has God said.


    "Well.. I got killed by a black scaled monster and got stabbed repeatedly by a lady" well it all happened really fast.


    "Hmm, it seems that you speak the truth. The result depends on how you answer, do you want to go back?" Is this another quiz game that will decide my fate.


    "What are the requirements to go back?" I know that there''s a catch because nothing is free.


    "Your memories." I was astonished. To let go of my memories that holds all of my bonds with my family and friends, how could I do that.


    "What if I don''t want to go back?" I held my Tears and asked the question.


    "Then you will go through a trial on whether you shall remain here, hell or heaven"


    "Isn''t there another way?!" I don''t want to go through a trail, I just want to rest.


    "Then you shall be reincarnated into another world where I can''t govern it" I was happy that I got another chance in life.


    "But remember this, if you die there then I won''t be able to help you. The world is different and the gods vary, so I must warn you to be careful, since your old.... Then again you have a body of a child"


    "Another world.... God! Can you tell me what type of world this is?"


    "I can''t, for it is you that must discover..."


    And with a bright light I was transferred.

 Chapter three: the wasteland

    I woke up, but this time with a really painful headache.


    The first thing I did was look around to know where I was and all I saw was nothing but a wasteland. Craters everywhere in the sand and skeletons from the remains of dead animals.


    I looked up to see that it was cloudy, but no signs of rain. The sun was being blocked by the grey clouds so it was quite dim and there were no civilization to be found.


    I got up and touched myself, not in a weird way, but just to confirm if I still got the same body.


    "It still feels surreal that I''m now inside a kids body.... Well good thing is that I have clothes." It seems that my reincarnation didn''t start off has me being a baby.


    "But what do I do now?" I still don''t know what type of world I''m in.


    "It better not be one of those magic infested place." Truth be told I hated those types of things because back when I was still alive my grandchildren would always play with it and don''t bother with me. I actually liked the games but it went too far when they asked me money to buy an in-game item.


    "Well the best thing to do is at least find someone... Or a safe place."


    I started walking in a singular direction, since I was in a different world then everything is different. Meaning I don''t know what''s general direction from north, south, east and west.


    So I kept walking and walking, until I found a weird looking entrance. The entrance looked liked it was from a temple, but almost everything was buried underneath the sand. Looks pretty old and sounds like it''s on the verge of collapsing.


    I ignored it and decided to continue my journey in finding civilization.


    "It would be nice to explore, but I''m not properly ready to go adventuring." Back in my day I used to be a marine, working in near death situations so I''m used to bloodshed. Too bad because I lost a leg and got replaced by a newbie, well I did got time to spend with my family.

    "Now where... Am I?" I''ve Walked for quite a while, still surprised that I didn''t collapsed. I looked around and all I see is sands and more craters, it was quite vast so it reached really far.


    "Hmm... Are those vultures?" I looked up and saw some bird like things flying above me in a circular pattern, at first I thought they were harmless, but I thought wrong when one started descending really fast.


    "The fuck!!" I quickly dodged by jumping backwards, but I fell midway because of the impact.


    Once the dust settled the monster was still on the ground. Black eyes and dark blue feathers. It was bigger then a car and longer then a bus.


    "What.. The..." I quickly got up and ran away.


    "I''ve had it with the ''be chased by monsters and be killed'' situation."


    I started running has fast as I could. I took a glance behind me and saw that all of them were starting to chase me.


    "Shit. Shit. Shit!. Shit!!" I started running faster.


    I saw that there was a forest nearby and once again I increased my speed, but I was starting to get tired.


    Once I was near the border of the forest I slowed down hoping that the birds were gone, so I looked back.


    "Kwaaa!!" And with that I got pecked with a huge beak on the stomach.


    "What.. The... Fuck..." The other birds started catching up and started to feast on my flesh.


    "Ugh crap.. Star..ting.. To.. Loose.." I was loosing consciousness.


    "Shoo! Shoo! Nasty ones!. How did they get here?"


    ''Is that a person? Oh thank god!''


    "Hm? What''s this?... Oh poor child!"


    ''What the heck? Deja Vu.... Crap I can''t.'' And with that I lost consciousness.

 Chapter four: the prot茅g茅

    I woke up in a dimly lit room, still feeling dizzy I got up, but fell down onto the cold floor. I got up and sat on where I woke up which was a bed made out of stone, once my vision started to become clear, I started to look around. The walls are made out of stacked stones that is quite moist, the only source of light was the hole above the room.


    "Where am I?... I thought I died..." I was actually eaten by a pack of birds that are the size of a car. I touched my stomach on where I was gutted and noticed that it was quite healed, but the feeling of a wound was still there.


    "Was it stitched? Hmm interesting..." I can''t feel the pain anymore and it actually feels quite nice. Once I observed the room which was still dark, for me, I got up and walked to the walls, but I fell from a sudden pull on my neck.


    "What''s this? A collar?..." I touched the steel around my neck and was surprised that I didn''t noticed it. I also realize that the collar was warm and was attached by a chain that connected to the bed on where I used to lay.


    "What the-"


    "Ahahaha! You''ve woken up now!" I looked up while trying to block the brightness radiating from the hole and saw silhouette, a slim figure that was quite voluptuous.


    "Um.. A-Are you the one that saved me?" I stuttered. My eyes were starting to adjust to the light so I stopped covering my eyes.


    "Hmm.. Yes! It was I that saved your poor soul!!" She said with enthusiasm, along with that she raised her arms while giving herself praise.

    I thought about it and thought that she really was desperate, desperate enough that she forgot about the slave and servant part.


    "What exactly am I going to learn from you?" At least it doesn''t hurt asking.


    "He~he~ MAGIC!!!" When the word magic escaped her mouth, I repeated it with a low-spirited voice. The chains started to crack and the cracks were glowing and in an instance The chains broke, but the collar remained and a sudden gust of wind blew me out of the room.


    "You have got to be kidding me!!!" I was screaming in midair on how ridiculous it was to learn magic.


    "Congratulations!! You are my first pupil!!!"

 Chapter five: the truth

    Once I was at the ground I started vomiting, but since I haven''t eaten anything, all I vomited was saliva and a few blood.


    "Oh! Seemed like there was some leftover blood inside your stomach! Good Job!" After throwing up, I saw my now teacher Giving me a thumbs up.


    I found it quite hard to believe that a beautiful lady with long silky hair and a peach toned face was acting like a child. I was still staring at her because of how she''s still doing the pose of her giving me a thumbs up and also the tongue out ''tee~ hee~''.


    "Come on... Say something.." She finally stopped the pose and started walking towards me, since she reached out her hands to me, I obviously grabbed it.


    "So... Since now I''m your ''pupil'' what am I suppose to do? And where are we?" I was looking around. The only thing noticeable was that it was still dark due to the clouds blocking the sun and that everything was covered by lush greenery, sometimes there would be some animals that come and go.


    "Well I only know one branch of the every so vast magic and I''m gonna teach that too you, and were inside my domain that I created.... Well it took me three years, but it was worth it..." She had this poker face that showed that she was hiding something.


    "Umm.. Okay.."


    She nodded and started walking towards the dense forest, I of course followed her. It has been quite awhile and we were still walking, around an hour or so. Throughout that time all I saw was beautiful waterfalls, a variety of plants and wild animals that looked really different, but Nearly looked similar to the animals back at earth.


    When I finally felt like collapsing due to my stamina, I started to see a small house that looked like it was merged inside a tree.


    "That''s my home, like it?" She was smiling. She ran towards her house and stopped in-front of the door and turned to look at me.


    "I''m aradia master of summoning and you, my pupil, may call me master aria!" She sad so gleefully that she raised her arms and started jumping up and down.


    "Aha! Okay.. Glad to be your pupil" I said in a really awkward tone and because of her being so happy, I tried to smile, but she caught the expression that I was showing.

    "You know, truth be told... Nobody wanted to learn the ways of my magic and it makes me kinda sad. I know it''s because of me being a dropout or me being unsuccessful, but for once I really wanted to teach someone and for that someone to call me teacher."     I was a hypocrite for saying that, I can''t tell her that I came from a different world.


    "Well I did acted quite aggressively.. I''m sorry. Well to start out I''m a human, a normal human. I''m a dropout teacher in training, hehe. And I cam from the south..." Everything was quite vague and looked like it was half true, but I guess she has her own circumstances.


    I did a deep sigh and approached her.


    "Well, I''m Mathew and I lost my memories, so I don''t know much.... But... For now I guess I''ll call you teacher." Her sadness faded and was happy that she was called teacher.


    "Then! Let''s start!" Aria was enveloped in a white smoke and disappeared, the next thing I knew the door from her house opened. She was now wearing a brown robe and glasses.


    ".. Yeah!" I guess this will do, I need to eventually defend myself on this unknown world.

 chapter six: the pupil

    The first thing we did was measure my mana capacity. Aria told me that each and every person is born with a mana capacity, it just depends on how big or small it is. There are also some people that train their low capacity, but some have failed to raise them even higher then what they were born with.


    I was slightly worried, because I¡¯m only reincarnated into a child¡¯s young body. If I¡¯m going to have a low capacity then I guess I should just train physically, I don¡¯t know exactly how I¡¯m going to do it, but I guess I should not expect that much.


    When I entered aria¡¯s house I was surprised, the place looked bigger then it was on the outside. The walls and floor was made with varnished wood and the furniture was made with some kind of stone mixed with wood, kinda like a middle class royalty.


    I was still mesmerized, but we moved along into the next room. The room we entered was lined up with shelves that hold different kinds of dried plants, from the looks of it, it kinda looked similar to a witches den, there was even a cauldron in the middle.


    ¡°Wait a minute...¡± aria disappeared into the endless shelves and came out with a clear ball that had a mini stand below it. With a flick of her finger a stool came flying towards her and placed itself in front of her and aria placed the clear ball on the stool.


    ¡°I¡¯m sure you know this process, we need to see how big your mana capacity is and what Is your elemental affinity..¡± she told me that my affinity will be the one important procedure into summoning a familiar. Before we divulged into that topic, we first started the ceremony.

    Aria murmured some incantations and told me to put my hand on the crystal ball. Once I placed my hand on the crystal ball, it glowed brightly and an image of a floating waterball appeared. I looked at aria and saw her nodding in approval.


    ¡°It seems that you have the capability to only summon one familiar, but don¡¯t worry has you progress and train, you can summon more and keep them longer in the mortal realm.¡± I wanted to ask more, but she was too happy, so we moved into the next step, which is finding my elemental affinity.


    Aria says that we can access all elemental affinities, but each person has a stronger affinity and this procedure will show me my dominant affinity.


    She did another incantation and told me to place my hand, I did have been told and the same thing happened to the first.


    When the light faded, there were two images in the crystal ball. Two spheres that was clad in white liquid and a pink flower that was encased with vines and roots.


    Aria took a closer look and started to inspect it.


    ¡°Hmm... it seems that the white liquid is pure water, and the pink flower with the roots and vines.. I think it symbolizes nature and poison.¡± So my affinity is a pure water and poison/nature. I was thinking that it would¡¯ve been better if it was just the elements water and earth, but I¡¯m in a different world so I guess anything is possible here.


    ¡°Now that were done with that, you know what time it is?... now it¡¯s time for. The. SUMMONING!!¡± says my teacher while jumping around like a child.

 chapter seven: the training part 1

    ¡°Okay! Before you start the basics on summoning I suggest you read these books¡­¡± aria laid down three books that¡¯s around five inches thick. I was wide eyed at the three books thinking that it¡¯s gonna take a long time to read, but luckily aria had a solution.


    ¡°Here are some reading glasses, they don¡¯t help much, but it will help you read and memorize much faster. Oh! And you can change your clothes upstairs.¡± Aria flicked her finger and the stool went back to where it came from. She went back to the shelves to place back the crystal globe.


    I on the other hand went out of the room and went upstairs. She didn¡¯t specify which room so I thought that the wardrobe which was out in the open was where I will get the clothes. I went near the wardrobe and looked at my reflection from the long mirror next to it. My hair was light brown and my eyes were also brown, but had a bit of gold that faded near the iris. I had quite a cute face and a petite body. For a second I thought I was a girl, but was assured that I was a boy.


    I opened the wardrobe and saw a variety of clothes that were too big for me. In the end I just wore a black top and a poncho over it that reached all the way to my hips, ending it with a short. Once I was done I went downstairs and noticed that aria was in the other room which I presume was the kitchen.


    She was drinking some kind of tea that smelled like rose, staring at the window that was illuminating the room with the sunrays, she was smiling. It seems like she didn¡¯t notice me, so I sat down on the opposite side, wore the reading glasses and started reading.

    It was starting to get dark and I was already done with the books, in a nutshell it was all about the basics of summoning. I learned a lot, but it only showed the types of summoning¡¯s, how they are maintained, how the elemental affinities will affect the summoning and how summoned beings will behave.


    When I looked up, I saw that there was a cup of tea for me and that aria was nowhere to be seen. I took a sip from the teacup and was relaxed by the combination of bitter and sweetness along with the warmness I would say the feeling was blissful, the flavor was a rose and I can taste a small amount of lemon or something citric.


    Once I was done with the cup of tea I decided to head to the place which I called the witches den, but noticed that aria was outside with a big looming figure above her floating.


    I went outside and was staring at aria, but I was more fixated on the looming figure that was only a dark silhouette. I kept on looking at aria and the figure. Aria noticed me and was smiling.


    ¡°She¡¯s one of my summoned familiar that I made a contract with, her name is Raisa. She was my very first familiar.¡± She said with a wide smile.


    In an instance the looming figure was enveloped in a bright and exploded into tiny rose petals. Raisa was now visible and was quite beautiful, in my case, a beautiful flower. She wore some type of dress that was overlapped with numerous red petals that faded to a light pink at the tip of her skirt, her head and forearms had huge read petals, her skin was a pale pink and she had wings that were see-through. Her eyes were wide and black, kinda cute.

    ¡°Raisa is a rose fairy that lived here, the first time I contracted her was when I moved here. Her flower patch was burned down by adventures that were loitering around the forest. She wanted revenge, but was weak so she made a contract with me. In the end we didn¡¯t manage to find the culprits, but we live here peacefully.¡±


    ¡°Oh.. I see, that¡¯s nice, but why are you telling me this?¡± I was interested indeed, but does this have to do with anything.

    ¡°Truth is people mistreat familiars here. They think that they are disposable slaves, because once they make a contract with you they gain immortality due to them feeding off of your mana, but they only feed on your mana when you summon them.¡±

    ¡°Well not really, they can still be killed, but if they are fatally wounded then they will unsummon themselves and go back to their realm. This is one of the many perks for being a summoner.


    But that¡¯s only for spirits you made contact with here on the mortal realm. There are several realms here and you can randomly summon them and if you¡¯re successful then you can make them your familiar. This method is way more convenient.


    Because spirits that you made a contract in the mortal realm will still be here in the mortal realm and you will have to maintain them with your mana since they don¡¯t have a realm to go too.¡±


    ¡°Oh! I see, basically they can stay here, but they need mana and that¡¯s when I come along, I give them my mana. And you¡¯re saying that familiars that don¡¯t have a place to go to will still be here and we will have to maintain them? But don¡¯t they have their own mana capacity?¡± I was confused at that part.


    ¡°hehe~ I knew you would ask about that. Well were not maintaining them, were maintaining the contract. Once it¡¯s broken then they are free to go, this is where the loyalty of the familiars comes. But first let me tell you that we don¡¯t have to maintain familiars once they go back to their realm, you only have to maintain them when their summoned, and yes they have their own mana capacity and that¡¯s mostly used in their abilities¡±


    ¡°Oh... I see...¡± honestly it¡¯s so confusing.


    ¡°Well now that you get the gist of it lets summon a being that we can make your familiar.¡±

 chapter eight: the training part 2

    Aria got up and went to the opposite side, she whispered something to raisa and with a raise of raisa¡¯s hand she conjured a circle that had a pentagram in the inside using her rose petals and the stems has the base.


    I was wondering why a pentagram was used. From what I remembered back in my world, a pentagram was mostly used for mystic things and mostly something satanic. I did not ponder that much because anything can happen here. I mean the animals nearly looked the same from earth, but have differences. The fruits here also looked somewhat similar, like the banana. When I took a bite, turned out that it was citric flavored, kinda nasty.


    ¡°Mathew, can you tell me the most known of summoning¡¯s.¡±


    ¡°there are many different types, but the most well-known are the use of summoning circles and direct summoning.¡±


    I learned this from the books that were given to me by aria. There were a total of twenty ways of summoning. Besides the other two I just mentioned, the other three well known is vessels, seal and sacrifice.


    Vessels is when a familiar require an empty object for it to live in. because nobody discovered a way to transfer a familiar in an object, they barely use it. It is rare though to find ancient artifacts that contain an old familiar.


    Seal is mostly used on weak familiars. The summoner will place a seal on a living being and bring out the soul and forcedly make a contract with it. I would say that this is cruel because when the soul has been cut off with mana, it will instantly die.


    Sacrifice is already stated from the name. The procedure is simple, find a sacrifice, sacrifice it and the summoned being will appear. This mostly brought out demons and bad beings so people that made the sacrifice usually get killed.


    ¡°Correct!!, I¡¯m sure that there are a lot of ways to summon a being, but these two are mostly used. For now we will summon a being from the circle using your mana. It may exhaust you, but it¡¯s okay because the more you use your mana, the more the capacity will grow.¡± She said smiling.


    I nodded and approached the circle.


    ¡°Now close your eyes and imagine the image of your mana.¡±


    I closed my eyes and started to see the image of the waterball that¡¯s constantly leaking water.


    ¡°Good, now try to make ripple effects. It will show that you can control it. You must feel the mana.¡±


    I did what has been told, but couldn¡¯t do it. I was starting to break cold sweats and was starting to get a mental strain. The more I concentrated the more I couldn¡¯t see any ripple effect to it, I was now mad and started to force it.


    ¡°You mustn¡¯t be tense, be calm and feel at peace. It¡¯s okay to fail. Just breathe slowly, in and out.¡±


    I was now starting to breath; with a slow beat I was now feeling calm. I tried again, but couldn¡¯t do it. I must feel the mana, my mana. After a few failed attempts, I was starting to get the hang of it. I could feel my mana flowing through my whole body, the feeling like its blood circulating. Next thing I knew I was able to make my mana in a form of a waterball that¡¯s swirling, almost like a torrent.


    ¡°Good!, even though it took three hours. I¡¯m impressed, to be able to control your mana, with this you will now be able to proceed to the next phase. Open your eyes.¡±


    I opened my eyes and saw that it was completely dark and that aria was sitting on a stool drinking tea while raisa holds the teapot. I was socked that lost my sense of time; I must¡¯ve concentrated a lot.


    ¡°It took a while, but we can now proceed into summoning a being or in your case, your familiar. The step is easy, just concentrate your mana into the circle and just say an incantation. It doesn¡¯t have to be fancy, but whoever responds to your call will appear.¡±

I looked at aria and she nodded, since I got the nod of approval, I started my short incantation.


    ¡°Creature of plants and poison heed my call and come forth with knowledge! Come! Serve me!¡±


    The light shined brighter exploded into smoke, the remains were purple plants on the ground, like it was newly grown and a standing figure that had feathers.


    ¡°Greetings young one, I am prince stolas, you may call me solas. How may I serve you?¡±


    In front of me was a tall bird with dark brown feathers bowing to me. When he gracefully brought his head up, I was wide eyed on his appearance.


    Stolas was really tall, but it was his long legs that made him tall. His body had a small torso with numerous feathers and wings that reached all the way to the ground. His head was small, but he had big eyes, just like an owl. The other thing I notice was that he had a mini crown on his head.


    ¡°U-um g-greetings..¡± I nervously bowed down. ¡°I¡¯m Mathew and I ask that you form a contract with me, this will make you my familiar. In return I will do anything you ask.¡± I noticed that aria face palmed when she heard my offer.


    ¡°Ho.. amusing. Anything you say?¡± solas said in a deep voice. I feel like it was a mistake in making my offer. ¡°Then I want¡­¡± I was ready. ¡°To go on adventures¡­¡± after he said that, his body was enveloped with smoked and he became smaller.

    ¡°Seems like my pupil spent up all of his mana, it would¡¯ve been dangerous if it was completely empty. I¡¯m guessing it was you¡¯re doing, solas.¡±


    Solas came out of the shadows and approached the sleeping child.


    ¡°Yes, he may be weak, but In the future he may be strong. I¡¯m currently supplying him with my mana and it seems that his capacity has grown. I will stay for now, but I will go back to my realm. Tell Mathew that if he needs me then all he has to do is call.¡±


    And with that solas disappeared.

 chapter nine: the training part 3

    I woke up with the sunrays hitting my face, still sleepy I decided to get out of bed because once you get back to sleep, you won¡¯t feel energetic for the rest of the day. I looked around and saw that I was laying down on a sofa, from the looks of it I was probably in the living room.


    When I went to the kitchen I saw aria eating. On her plate was something similar to a salad and some meat on it, she was also drinking tea, but the color was a light brown, not like the light pink from the rose.


    When I entered I greeted her. ¡°Good morning teacher!¡± when I greeted her, she got surprised from the sudden entry, but she calmed down. When she heard me call her teacher her face looked happy, grinning like a happy child.


    ¡°So what happened yesterday? I collapsed right?¡± I never go the basic from anything related to mana, only the manacapacity was what I learned about.


    ¡°Well¡­ you did exhaust your mana, so solas gave some of his to you.¡± Oh I see so It was basically me using my mana too much, but why did I collapsed?

    ¡°But didn¡¯t I summon solas already?¡±

    Let me tell you this, you can make a lot of familiars has long has they have a place they can return too, aka their realm. The reason why you can summon another is because your mana capacity is full and also has increased! Go ahead and feel your mana¡±


    So basically I can have numerous familiars and also stronger ones in the future. Ok I think I¡¯m starting to get it now. The reason why my mana drains is because my mana is what makes the familiar stay here, so the more mana I have the longer they can stay.


    I closed my eyes and started to feel my mana, the image I got was an even bigger waterball. Well it didn¡¯t feel different, but I can feel it though.


    ¡°now that you see and feel your mana then let me lecture you on how mana and mana regeneration works.


    To put it simple, everything has mana. Your mana regeneration is just you absorbing it from them, it does not matter if you have a big or low capacity, your mana regen will depend on how many mana particles there is near you. If there is a few mana particles then your regen will be slow.


    The more you use your mana and absorb the mana particles around you, your capacity will increase. This is why your capacity increased yesterday. it was because you absorbed the mana from solas. Because he was a demon, he had a huge amount.¡±


    ¡°oh¡­. I see. Then does that mean I can make many familiars. And how do I increase my capacity?¡± I was starting to get excited from this. This practically means I can have a lot of fire power in my arsenal.

    The thing about direct summoning is that it does not have a handicap. the difference is that nothing will amplify my mana to summon a being unlike the circle, it¡¯s all just connecting with the other realm.


    The thing about this is that it requires no incantation, so I could just summon any being that I imagined. All I have to do is imagine the things I want and if there¡¯s match, it will be summoned.


    Right now I¡¯m trying to find a good being that will represent my affinities with pure water. I was thinking a type of being that was kinda like a slime. Slimes can duplicate, can be any affinity with anything it eats, has resistance to physical attacks, but cannot handle magic attacks, like lightning or ice.


    I actually was imagining a being with a body made out of clean gel that has wings, can morph and can resist physical and magical attacks. In an instance I felt a connection.


    ¡°COME!!¡± the ground shook and a puff of smoke appeared. One the smoke settled down I saw a small being that was floating.


    It had a circular body with two pairs of wings attached to it, the wings made out of feathers and skin. The body was clear, almost like transparent water that¡¯s being hold in place. It didn¡¯t have any eyes or a mouth, but it approached me and did a bowing position and lifted it whole body.


    ¡°Hi, I¡¯m Mathew and I want you to be my familiar. In return I-¡° I didn¡¯t have time for an introduction and I was being attacked. The being started to tackle me. I dodged and thought that it can¡¯t harm me, but when I got hit by the wings, blood fell from an open would showing that I got cut by its sharp wings.


    ¡°It¡¯s testing you!!¡± aria said sitting on her stool drinking tea.


    ¡°So it¡¯s showing if I¡¯m worthy huh? Okay! I¡¯ll show you worthy.¡±


    I raised my hand up from the sky and called forth prince stolas. I knew that my mana got heavily drained, but I¡¯m still weak and I still can¡¯t fight physically.


    ¡°You called.¡± Solas appeared, he bowed and stood up. His form was when I summoned him, big and tall.


    ¡°Restrain¡­ that being¡­ please.¡± I was starting to feel tired.


    Solas flapped his wings and flew to the sky, the being was gonna tackle him, but solas conjured many vines that had thorns. Looking closely I saw that there was a light purple substance coming out from the thorns, it was poison.


    But the being turned really fast cutting the vines that was holding it. In a flash it chased solas, but solas flapped its wings towards the being releasing a cloud of poison. I thought that it was useless, but that being fell down and dropped to the ground.


    Solas descended and landed next to me. The next thing he did was hold the being down.


    ¡°It¡¯s a Paralysis poison that numbs the nerves.¡± Oh yeah! The only thing that has nerves to move was the wings.


    I gave him a thumb up and approached the being. When the fight started I only sat down and started to replenish my mana, that¡¯s why I didn¡¯t feel that tired.


    ¡°If you don¡¯t become my familiar I am going to kill you!¡± I said in an intimidating voice. It was just me looking serious and cool. I thought it wouldn¡¯t work, but it did. Our bodies glowed and the symbol was placed on the front side of the body.


    ¡°So what should I call you?¡± I didn¡¯t know if it was a girl or boy so I though a unisex name was suitable.


    ¡°My name is Papillion. you may call me pali, master.¡± I heard a female voice that sounded like an old samurai warrior. I knew it was Papillion because she was the only thing here that can¡¯t communicate. I had the probability of telepath so it didn¡¯t shock me.


    ¡°Yes pali. Can I have the reason has into why you attack me?¡± I was not really angry, but I wanted to know the reason.


    ¡°it¡¯s because I wanted to see if you were able to become my master, but to summon a being and let him fight your fight, you¡¯re weak.¡± That really hit me on my sore spot. ¡°But it¡¯s admirable to know when you are at an disadvantage, so I thought that you are a person worthy to become my master.¡±


    ¡°I¡¯ll do my best to see your expectations.¡± I nodded. And with that both of my familiars disappeared back to their realm.


    ¡°I GOT ANOTHER FAMILIAR!!!¡± when they both Disappeared I yelled running to aria while jumping up and down.


    ¡°GOOD JOB!!¡± she said has we circled around and hug. ¡°You want to summon another one?!¡±


    ¡°FUCK NO!!¡± I ran back inside and Aria started laughing. I had enough of fighting..
