《Cursed by hatred》 To Live Again The pain of steel ripping my flesh was not a new experience to me. Hell I have even been on the shoreline of Styx as I watch the ferryman take my targets before, laughing at me as I try to prevent him from taking me on my last voyage. This however, a tip of a knife protruding from my chest, was something that I have spent countless hours perfecting from taking, but from the other side. I muster my will to force my head and body to turn so that I could look my killer in the face. I see her smiling and crying, words escape me as I try to ask why, as if reading my mind... "You killed him!" I ponder on the countless lives I have taken. "Why did George have to die?" She quivers I grab a hold of her and force her to look at my face. "You.. Lucky.. No.. Revenge.." My voice rasps with my strength leaving my being. She Looks away and I grab her head with both hands, both bloody hands covered with my own life. "Face.. What.. Do.." I can barely talk anymore I can just see her eyes as I stare at them in anger, for this one has killed me, a man that has killed countless people over my 13 years of this trade. she shows both fear and pain as she cant look away from me. A smile forces it way on me. "You.. Live.. or.. Die.. Killer.." with the last word I utter her face drop into despair. That last bit I have done to this woman that originally tried to tell me about the bible, or whatever book it was again that she fallowed. showed me the damage i have caused with those words. the words of an unforgivable sin. She start to cry out loud as I feel the cold embrace of death take me, well ferryman looks like I''m next. ***** .... ... .. .''Anytime now ferryman''... I open my eyes as I no longer feel the pain at my chest, and ''!'' I''m standing? I take even less time to be amazed at that then it would have taken to even say it. I notice that I''m in a stone room, moss is along the walls and there are gems in the... It cant be! Another discovery after another as I stop at my last one. A grave. ''Is it mine?'' As I ponder the thought I see the name. Here lies a True friend Joshua Freebirth De Oppesso Liber This was what I wrote. Then that means. I grab a hold of my personage and feel what I had hoped was not true. bits of cloth covering my body, leather straps like armor well placed for comfort yet maximizing protection, Metallic plates covering key points(like the chest and thighs), and worst of all, when i push one of my arms under my chest protector, soft mounds are where my pectorals used to be. This in indeed my character that I have made. My mind races and my eyes refocus on the grave. halting all my sense of fear and doubts. I smile. "Looks like I have traversed from yet another no return." I feel my tears ride down my checks. I don''t even need to check. I feel them coming from my eyes, as if this emotion vortex I am feeling wasn''t enough. "Why Do I always cry when I remember you Joe." For this grave belonged to my friend Joey Joshua Halonky. the only person that I became friends with after my family died. Both of us had no friends or family, and we even met as prisoners. Both set in the same cell, pitted to kill each other by them. but I digress in my memories of him. You might as why I made a woman, or even a Half-Elf, ridiculed as worthless since it wasn''t as strong as a human or as magically gifted as an elf. I chose it because it neutralized both weaknesses yet gave the highest agility of both races. My strength was just below a human, and my magic was just below an elf, so I would be a nice jack-of-traits char. Yet the half elf had higher agility of either. This game was third person though so looking though her eyes is bit much for it to be the game. As for female, my friend already had a character in this game, and thought it would be nice to use the marriage bonuses. since they where based on your spouse, many picked the same class build. My spouse was a paladin, and I was a battle-mage. Where the status was predetermined by race, and then increased based on how you played with points going here and there based on your skill set. Since the game didn''t have a set class path, you could have every skill in the game, but at a much lower level since you only had so many points at max. It didn''t take long before I was maxed out with Joe''s help. and with the bonus to physical stats and skills from his abilities, and his bonuses from me, we where able to make him a mage-knight, and me a battle-mage. spells/techniques on the other hand had to be learned separately from skills, by outside menu ways. like books or training. So he focused on healing and buffing and I combat. This narrative has been purloined without the author''s approval. Report any appearances on Amazon. I decide a simple test, lets see how and if I can use my skills from the game. I put forth my fist as I learned in training and punch the wall. the metal knuckle protector slams on the stone and many cracks and debris appear from the around area of my fist. I felt something. looking at my fist as I bring it back it is glowing, then the light goes out. ''Was that manna bust?'' It was a skill that allowed you to bust manna into a short blast. I used it along with my unarmed skill in order to perform advanced melee magic attacks. "Lets see if I can cast a spell" Still not used to my voice I quickly face-plant into my palm. (WN: He was too confused before to react) ''Lets see'' I think about the spells I used to use. "Freeze" I point to the grave yet nothing happens. ''I don''t think there was a chant or anything like that.'' I look at my hand wondering. ''!'' I smile as I point at the grave again and it quickly gets wrapped with ice. satisfied with remember the feeling on my punch yet trying to focus it into ice encasing the grave I take a quick pose. It was short lived though as I quickly realize what I have done and melt the ice the same way and use my own sleeve to clean it. ***** Sighing as it has been a few hours now as i just practice a few spells until I got the hang of it. "I know I shouldn''t, but I still want to ask why you had to die." hitting my elbow on the tombstone. "Your still rock hard." I laugh and cry at the same time, thinking about my situation and wondering how long I have since this is most likely my last thoughts as I die. I now huddle up and hold my knees at my chest as i sit with my back to the grave. "I wonder what you would do in my situation," I turn my head to look to the right since I don''t have the flexibility to look directly behind me, "Where you just as pathetic as I am at your last moments." "It''s never pathetic to honor the dead." ''!'' All I could do is look at the person that was standing at the entrance of the mausoleum that I had built in his honor. 2 - Graveyard of Dreams Recently there has been more and more subjugation requests from towns. The local lords cant even send out the guards to take care of all the peasants anymore. Here at a rather rural town, there isn''t even a wall surrounding it. I''m glad I got most of my supplies at the town where the lord lives, even though he was a little, how do I say this, eccentric. Me and my two companions have just reached a graveyard. "So Henry, this is the place?" A rather old looking, yet regal, holy magic caster states. "I believe so." I pull out my map that they gave us to make sure that the pacing was right. Seeing a blur rush past me, I lift my head knowing what I just saw. "Lya you need to keep doing that?" Lya stands against one of the last trees before the target and just stares at us, even though you can barely see her eyes in her face coverings you could still tell the anger that is present on her face though them. ''sigh'' "think if it as her way of saying ''I got your back''." after Amon said that the blood-lust that Lya presents to us increases a dozen fold. we both just look at each other and shrug, since it wasn''t the first time. "Amon, Lya, Lets split up and asses the situation here." Placing the map back I unsheathe my sword. I take the middle road. "Meet at the mausoleum right?" Amon smiles as he rests his mace on his shoulder. Lya just nods and disappears as her head raises. "I don''t think I''ll ever get used to that elf." After a few minutes I have forced my way to the mausoleum, and just like what we where told the undead will not approach it. It appears that I was the first to arrive. after a short rest a startling sound echos from the wall. ''They said that even the arch-mage couldn''t open this.'' I stand in shock at the entrance ajar-ed. Hearing the sound radiate once more I take a step back. It indeed came from there. I swallow my pride as I push the door open a little more so I can get past. The sounds have stopped for a little while now, cautiously I approach the only place I could, a lit room only a few feet from the entrance. The amazing mural on the walls are the only thing that prevents me from thinking about death as I approach the last place I should be venturing into alone. murmurs stop me in my tracks. a soft yet beautiful voice that I am unable to make out, but I do hear crying mixed with laughing. My blood starts to boil as I think about the torture that people endure to those that create undead. I rush to the room and when I enter, sword at the ready, all I see is a woman holding herself in a ball while sitting and looking at the grave. "Where you just as pathetic as I am at your last moments." The Girl asked the grave while still in a crying quivering voice. I could no longer bear with this scene, maybe Amon has rubbed off on me after all these years, or maybe being with that elf made me a little soft to her kind, since I notice her ears. "It''s never pathetic to honor the dead" I respond as I sheathe my sword. Her head moved so fast that her tears even parted from her face into the air, and all I could do is look at the person that was sitting at the grave in awe at the beauty I was seeing. ***** After a few blinks I shake off my shock of the first person I meet after coming to this reality. I glance over him just as fast as my blink corrects my vision back to his face. I stand at noticing he had a sword and daggers and hold my fists in balls reading my stance to be able to rush him if he shows any signs of hostility. "I mean you no ill will." The man raises his hands and shows me his palms at the same height of his face, I slide my stance into a better position to grapple. Raising my arms in kind. and relaxing my fists. His advance halts. He sighs, "Are all of your kind so harsh to humans?" As if he read my mind he continues. "Your ears." he points to the side of his head. I raise one of my hands and hold onto my pointed ears a blatant racial trait. I give him a questionable look as I start to relax a little yet slide back to be able to use the grave as a foothold to advance if I need to. A sound come from behind him, and that''s when I realize that he is in front of the only exit. If this is not a halfway to the after life then I must either get past him or die here. I steel myself, but then a hand grabs his shoulder and I halt my plans. "Henry, did you..." just as soon as he joins in, he stops as he glances at me and the room, finally ending on me once again. "Are the one that did this?" I simply nod as I hear his question. "Just like Lya she doesn''t talk to us." The man the other called Henry glances to the second. Pondering on if I can take two, I jump behind the grave and they notice the woman beside them. "Lya." So this one is Lya. Lya takes off her mouth covering and smiles. "Hello." It is in a different language then the men, but I understand it. "Lya?" "Yes." Both the men just look at her in awe and Lya starts to approach me, "Full?" I bite my lips at knowing what I was asking. Lya''s eyes start to sparkle at that reaction. The response is apparent and no longer needed. "Half?" As soon as I said that Lya is showing a sign of fear and hatred. "Half." I sigh and lower my guard, she does the same after my response. Apparently this place, world, or even dimension is the same as the game. Halfs are hated by fulls, or at least she is. "You?" "Vera." "Half?" "Yes." Speaking in broken elvish has taken its toll on the humans present and they interject. "Lya, whats being said." She looks at them shrugs and leans on the hallway wall looking indifferent but still glancing as me and showing a smile, then returning to her indifference. Looking more confused the humans, Henry and the other one, I respond. "I am called Vera." Using the short name that Joe called me in the game. The tale has been illicitly lifted; should you spot it on Amazon, report the violation. Both get back to reality as I state that. "I''m Henry and this is Amon, forgive my impoliteness, ummm, Vera was it?" "That is what she said, " The older man takes a step into the room and gives a slight bow, well formed I might add. "I am Amon Klasta..." "!" I quickly enter with my full introduction since he has shown a higher society stance, maybe he was someone that demanded a full name then. "Verastillya Highlore Freebirth." I give the best curtsy I could muster, but it looks a little strange with no skirt to grab hold of. The three of them show shock, then fear as they look at each other. only Lya shows a smile and come to me. She holds her hand to her chest as she lowers her face and kneels, "Highloresama, I am Lyarelsh, Daughter of Mesmelia." I nod to her as she raiser her face to look at mine, she stands smiling, then she pauses half way up looks directly at me "Freebirth?" I nod again confused. This whole time she was speaking in the same language as the humans, but now its elvish again. "Then the Grave is?" She starts to shake. I sigh. "Husband." She holds her hands over her mouth and looks back at the grave, she then digs in her bag, takes out some kind of shiny round thing with a hole in it and looks at me as she gestures the grave. I quickly realize what she is asking. "Go ahead, I''m sure he would be happy." A forces smile as i feel my voice quiver again. She holds it in her hand tightly and places the other on my shoulder. Looking at her face in shock she shows a kind smile, almost motherly. How could I not also. ***** after a few minutes and each of them make an offering after Lya Gave a Broken Explanation of him being my lost family, I didn''t explain anything since it seemed good enough. I found out that Henry and Amon where together for a few years now, and Lya was the last one to join there team just less then two years ago. Also that they where summoned to figure out if there is a reason for undead to be here, and why this place is the only one that prevents them from entering. I show them the crystals on the four corners of the room I stand in. "Are these Magic stones?" Amon asks I nod I figured I should speak the least possible to minimized the possibility of putting myself in a bad situation. Lya seems to be of a same mind. But she talks to me in elvish more then anything. I believe that Highlore must be some kind of nobility of the elves, but still cant place what rank or who Mesmelia is, and asking would be strange for someone of rank so I resist. Henry and Amon discuss something about the stones and I make out that they decided that they are useful in deterring undead but wont remove them due to me, apparently they think I maintain this place and would be unwise to steal from a grave of my family. As we leave the mausoleum I take notice that they ready themselves for battle, Lya stands behind me. "I will protect you." She says in a low voice. I know that my face distorted "I can protect myself." Irate with the dialog and wanting to hit something for being looked at as a frail girl I see the first undead in my life and dive at it using both my trained skills of my former and my realization of manna flow just prior to meeting this trio. Bobbing and weaving throughout the horde, well there are only six of them, but to me this would have been a rather difficult battle in the past, not undoable, but still hard. I slam one into the wall of the mausoleum, he breaks apart into dust and jump off of the wall to another one, an axe kick with a blue manna hue adding destructive force to it breaks it into pieces one grabs a hold of me and the three others and fast approaching. "Freeze!" Without thinking I yell out as I unleash my manna like before, all four of them turn ice blue and i roundhouse two of them into peaces and punch another, finally snapping my fingers as I get into it the last one explodes as I detonate manna I create inside him instantaneously. Standing proud that I have not lost any skill, in fact I feel like I am even higher then my top form with this added power of magic. I hold my arms at my sides fists raised to my chin level and smile as my clothes and face have peaces of undead on them as well as my disheveled hair, partly in buns and partly dropped flow all over the place. ***** I cast my eyes on the girl that we have just met, she is fighting in a style that I have never seen. using her fists and feet as weapons. I have seen brawls before but non of them have ever showed the skill of using there appendages as weapons to this level. She is a Highlore. One of the highborns that my mother has told me about. They are all great mages and believe that magic is all powerful. But this woman is fighting, and even with her bar hands. The shock that I have reminded me on what I was told. ''You should always curry favor from nobles if you can. Protect them in danger and they will grant you more then just friendship.'' Mother placed me as her hope to gather the Half''s to a better light, granting me training in both elvish and human fighting skills. I used both to create a new style that granted me rouge-ish like movement, hunter accuracy, and warrior deathblow power. I never had skills in magic but with this I could make it seem like I could use it. She on the other hand, Vera, not only has physical and magic power, but can even use quick-casting. A skill that I have never seen. Her husband must have been a great man, far greater then even the gods to get her favor. I look back at the mausoleum, I feel like giving him a single gold coin was not enough to show my will to be with his wife. Next time I come here I will bring even more to offer, and I vow that I wont let any man that isn''t even half of what I view you as come close enough to soil her. 3 - To Begin with a Step First off let me apologize for the late upload, next for the shortness of my chapter. one lead to the other due to not being able to find anything I wanted to add that I don''t already know will happen later in the volume. I will however leave with saying that I plan on posting two chapters next week. -------------------------- We have been traveling for a few hours now, not sure if they have an understanding of time since they use the setting sun as a standing point for when to setup camp. The only reason I agreed to join them back to town was that the grave that I made for Joe was suppose to be in the middle of nowhere and only about 4 miles from my house. we are even traveling in the direction of my house from it, but when re reached where it was suppose to be I kept looking but everything was different. the trees on the edge of the forest where even a different species, oak, was suppose to be the forest where we lived next to. Of course we only used it for storage even if there was a bed it was never needed to be used. I found myself getting tired for a while now and decided to try what I did in the real/previous world in order to be able to continue to travel without sleep, meditation. What I found was interesting as I contort my brow. I feel my blood, my mussels, even my nerves as i force them all to move, but this other thing, much like gel, coursing through my body is disheartening. I do however remember that it was the same type of feeling as when I used magic, so lets just call this gel manna. I am now trying to control this manna since it seems to be a rather difficult thing to do I fall into deep trans. The narrative has been illicitly obtained; should you discover it on Amazon, report the violation. "If it''s that hard to sit just change your posture." I hear Lya voice from behind me "leave him alone, if he wishes to try to meditate." Glancing in front of me I see Amon trying to take the same pose, sighing I continue as I stand "Is there something I can do for you?" Noticing that Amon glances at the fire which now has many cookware as well I get an idea, "Guess I should at least do something." After about an hour, and having Lya go off into the woods to pick up herbs for flavoring, the four of us are having a meal that I cooked. "This is delicious!" "Henry please stop bant... It is!" Even Lya just smiles as she enjoys the food. I take a bite myself and found out that it is actually horrible. There just using lip service. I quickly dismiss it as such and Finnish this abomination to food. How long has it been since I have cooked for others. My mind flows into these thoughts as I try to sleep, me and Lya are in a tent. Rolling over I notice her breathing peaceably. Even with this lifestyle, similar to my old, she can be so. After a deep sigh I contemplate in a low voice, "Will this guilt of not being able to get close to anyone ever go away." I try my best to go to sleep as I roll to my other side. --------------------------------- Also since my friend here has said I should make a character sheet for Vera to make sure I don''t give her abilities of actions that are outside of her abilities I made one. Let me know in the comments if you think I should add it as an extra. 4 - The town with no name After another day of traveling we have reached a village on a major road. I was told by Lya during the day that this place has an Inn because it is the halfway point between two major trade cities. Currently both me Lya are wearing full rain capes with the hoods still covering our heads. According to her, humans and elves are at odds in this world, and half''s are even more degraded, so we hide ourselves with the excuse of the rain. This town may be small compared to others but we separate from the guys, they are currently off ''working there magic'' as Henry says getting us a room and information. we are tasked with getting provisions. Since there is a small bazaar like tarp next to the Inn it shouldn''t take too long for both of us to meet up after one is finnished. I decide to leave most of everything to Lya since this will be my first time in this world. Surprisingly it is not too different from bartering in my old world. Lya haggles back and forth with the low/high maneuver, if your wondering what it is, its where you as a buyer low ball the items you want as the merchant normally has scaled his prices. Eventually you end up, if you do it right, getting the goods for a much cheaper price then they wanted to sell it for. Then again this only works if they are willing to haggle and if your starting price or jumps are not insulting. What did amaze me was when she did the group sail tactic at the end. This is where you allow the seller to take a high price, as you don''t haggle to much, then add in another item or two that is of much lower evaluation during haggles. Kinda like how you would try to buy some bread and say your would take it for x price if they add in some butter as well. what we ended up getting extra was a map, some packaging leaves, and voucher letter for my ID. That last one was from a larger scale merchant and for some reason I''m Lya''s sister-in-law that just got freed from illegal slavers. Interesting lie for something that seems to be important to have. After we gather the three bags of goods, I carry two of them, we end up entering the Inn by the Cafe/Bar entrance. Which is where we decided on as the meeting place. Both of us keep our capes on just like many of the patron here, but unlike them we keep the hoods on as well. We sit down at a table after telling the Barkeep a quick drink order. I keep myself to simple orders for now like how I just ordered whine, ''house''s choice'' as my drink. which made the tender smile and chuckle a little as he said something to a maid. Lya ordered something called Cambell juice, it ended up looking like apple juice. As for my drink, when it arrived I could see it bubble with carbonation. My first thought after seeing this was that Soda could be in this world. However it was quite delicious, I could easily see myself getting drunk off this whine. Sensing what I wanted to ask for a while Lya pulls out the map and starts to show me where we are in relative to where we will be going. "Currently we are at the road between Newbrook and Juno." Pointing to both cities receptively. "Not sure what this town is called, and it''s not on the map, but it would be about here." She shows me about 2/3rds of the way to Juno from Newbrook. "The cemetery was about here, past the forest." what I did notice is that most of the features like forests, planes, rivers, ect. aren''t named. "does it have a name?" "Only Elves name forests, dwarfs hills, and humans land masses like islands." Apparently every race names whats important according to them, and humans only care about nation and city names. It does make it easier to remember names of places, since all you have to say is that forests north of x town. However I feel slightly displeased. "however," she brings her finger to point up as if she is trying to make a one and shack it to emphasis a point. "Places that have important events, such as battles that end wars, or locations where hero''s are named are the exception." After getting to know my surroundings with the maps help she rolls it up and hands it to me. "Keep this until you find a better one." words of wisdom indeed. Maps are god. After we enjoy whats left of our drinks in sudo peace. Stolen content alert: this content belongs on Royal Road. Report any occurrences. I cant help but overhear many conversations and the current one is even more interesting then the others. Sitting across from us at there own table. "At this rate we wont be able to make it in time." "hold yourself bart, the only thing that will happen if we rush is destroyed goods." "troops would rather have partial supplies then none." It appears that they have been talking about some kind of fort near some mountains since our other two have arrived now I lower my attention on them and focus on my recent companions. "wait long?" Henry smiles in his drenched self. Just to let you know the cape I am currently wearing was originally his, he lent it to me when me and Lya started our night watch since it looked like it would rain, little did I know he didn''t have another one, I know I could have just used water aura to keep myself from having any detrimental status from the rain but he was adamant on having me wear it. And after Lya said it would be better to have something like this for today I merely borrowed it for the trip, still I feel sorry for him even now I am tempted to check if he has any sickness but refuse to embarrass him in front of all these people. "Did you get another cape?" I respond in my agony. He smiles to me yet again and I frown as I realize he didn''t. I don''t know why but for some reason I feel like I''m an escort. and this team, no, Henry, mainly cause he is so incompetent in self preservation, is my client. Lya feels like a fellow hiree, and Amon is more of a capable friend to him. Thinking about this makes me smile, guess I really am attached to my old self. By the way, I have become completely accepted as a new person. My old self had died and my new body is my new self. Sure it is a game character, and I made it, but I felt myself die, and even after two days came to cope with everything as real. It may be fast or slow depending on how you look at it, but non-the-less everyone would eventually accept this type of scenario eventually. Henry gives me another sly smile and I can tell he is trying to act cool, so I hit him dead between the eyes and forehead with a quick chop after lifting my hand slow both times before and after it and furrowing my brow to portray my distraught. Amon now smiles, "told you she would be mad." as he tries to comfort him into listening to better judgement in the future. We head to our rooms and I force Henry to go buy another cape before I let him sleep, since he most likely wont if I don''t come down at least this hard on him. That night however I had a dream about a past I knew nothing about, and woke up drenched in sweat without knowing much about it. Nothing but the fact that it was Vera''s past and not mine. The dream, if I could call it that, was different but at the same time familiar. In fact even I''m not sure what I really saw. 5 - Tool Bar Looking around I realize that I''m currently sitting in a bed, covers down to my hips, and drenched in a cold sweat. That nightmare, if I could call it that, was so vivid that I didn''t even want to think about it. It wasn''t anything I even experienced, in real life, or this game. Then again This current hobble of a town and that graveyard wasn''t in there either. I walk over to the window, wanting fresh air but remembering Lya I glance back to the other bed in the room. She is still laying down, but the darkness wont allow me to see much. Not even if she is even facing me. I shouldn''t open this, even the rain still haven''t let up much since last night during guard. I sigh then steel myself into my basic garb. my red shirt and pants covering myself in the cloak that I received I exit the room, leaving my armor behind, but grabbing my belt in the process. Upon reaching the stairs down I place my belt under the cloak to both hold my shirt in place, it is a little big since I normally use it under my armor and it makes for a nice cushion, and to have something to do when I get outside. I now start to hear voices as I almost reach the dining hall past the last hallway. I halt three paces away from the turn as two familiar voices ring out. just loud enough to hear but easily welshed by the bellowing of merry making, they obviously are sitting close to the entrance to the hall. I hug the wall and strain my ears to see if my instinct was right. "I told you before that you now have us as a client so either way you will still provide goods." "I know but if you loose..." "Everything is taken care of, don''t worry so much. Not like we will loose anyways." "but..." "Just focus on your job and we can focus on ours." The two men that sound just like those from earlier make noises of standing and footsteps echo louder and louder, ''oh shit!'' I quickly look back and dive to the stairs slamming into the guard rail spinning back to there direction to see them just turn the corner. ''now or never'' I use one of my more successful deceptions to date. staggering a little, holing onto the walls every fourth or fifth step, and barely acknowledging them as an obstacle as we pass. "A drunkard returns." both then men, almost on cue, laugh as they climb the stairs. ''Looks like it worked'' breathing out a sigh of relief, the last thing I want to do is fight without any gear, especially when it could easily become blown into a wide scale defensive battle. I stand back up from my last tumble that failed to hit the wall in time and readjust my clothes, fallowing my original plan and exit the Inn. The outer terrace was about one meter from the door with a wooden overhang. the only sanctuary from the rain for the current building. It didn''t even run to the side, just enough to block it from entering the building upon opening the door. Using the edge of the rain free zone I begin to check out my belt. Originally this wasn''t an item or armor in the game, it was just a tool bar that you had at the bottom of the screen. The tale has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation. As I check the items in my belt I find that there are a bunch of potions in the first few, then one of my weapons, and even those teleport runes that I used to get around with, looks like its just like the game. I have groups of what was under max counts, and I tried to put different items in same pouch but for some reason I couldn''t. The one thing that was different was that I could hold a lot more then max count, ten was for potions and I got all three bags into one. ''This belt upgraded!'' After a nice breather and item check, I went back to my room, but along the way I was halted as I notice that a door was ajar. Taking a quick look inside I notice the two men, one of them was even holding the handle as they looked back inside. I make haste as I rush to my room in hopes of getting there before they exit. Breathing heavy I see Lya standing at the window looking at me. My smile plastered on my face shows that I both wish to not be asked and that it was a close call. I woke up after I heard milady scream out, even with it being only slight, it was loud enough to wake me. She then moved around the room and eventually left. confused on what was happening, I peaked out the door and saw her go downstairs then after a little bit another two came back up. confused I simply close the door and think about where she could be going. At the window I look out and see the rain coming down, ''looks like the rainy season has started.'' Out of the corner of my eye I notice Vera down by the door, ''what could she be doing?'' Then she starts taking items out of the small pouches of her belt that couldn''t possible fit. ''Magic item? No, maybe its a warp space. It could be a shrinking ability. Or is it cursed!?'' no idea how long it has been, but now I noticed that she was no longer there. I pondered too much about that belt of hers. The door opens, closes, and milady is standing back bracing it and looks out of breath of sorts. She even has a small sweat of despair she even gives me a smile that can easily be called fake. I know that she does not want to talk about what happened, but I still utter words of acceptance. "Lets go back to bed milady." Sighing as I lay down I wish I could have asked her about that item, or even about her dream, or should I say nightmare, but all I did was accept that she didn''t want to talk nor relive it. ''May a day come that I can understand you without you even looking at me Highlore-sama.'' ********* Also hope everyone enjoyed there Halloween this year, personally my favorite costume was a little girl that came by the house, about 5, was dressed up like a 80yo cat lady, was very cute and funny.
