《Darkness God Shura》 Chapter 1 - Beginning - Chapter 1 - Beginning - It was a beautiful and breathtaking night. The full moon shining in the sky. But a beautiful night like this was the night when history was about to change. The Sealed Spirit Mountain is a mountain separated from the world by an unbreakable divine formation. It was said that the mountain was sealed by the gods more than 10.000 years ago, if this is true no one knew, all the records about it were lost in time. From the outside, the mountain was apparently normal, but in reality the inside was hollow. How could someone know that the Sealed Spirit Mountain is the place where a demon was residing. The demon was by no means a normal one. An incredible sinister aura was rising from his body. The demon, standing in midair in the core of the mountain, was sealed by thousands of white chains. The chains were engraved with symbols containing incredible power. The walls too, were engraved with the same powerful symbols. It was a black Panther type demon, black fur covering its body and silver symbols were painted on his fur, shining with its every breath. His paws were engulfed in dark flames and its body had a length of hundreds of meters, it was an incredible huge and ancient demon, its power was enough to easily destroy this world, but it was restrained by those chains, it was impossible to guess how powerful those chains should be for them to seal something as powerful as this Demon. Who knew for how many years this being was sealed in this place. It was immortal, peerless, evil and its might was incomparable with any other creature. Suddenly the ancient Demon opened his eyes. It¡¯s beautiful but cold silver eyes didn¡¯t have pupils, just by looking in them was enough to die from fright. As soon as his eyes opened, bloodlust and enormous hatred filled the mountain, but thanks to the seal, the bloodlust couldn¡¯t reach the outside world. It was extremely furious and tired, half his power was already lost thanks to the oppresing seal, but then, hope took over his hatred. ¡°After so many years, at least, I¡¯m ready.¡± ¡°They thought I will be trapped here forever, but they couldn¡¯t guess that I had something like the ¡°Heavenly Rebirth¡± technique that allowed someone to be reborn at a huge price.¡± ¡°I will lose my power, my memory and my body, but I will gain freedom and in a few hundred years I will be even more powerful that I was before.¡± ¡°Now, even though the chances for it to succeed are very few, is still better than waiting to die while being trapped here forever.¡± ¡°Now I just want to start anew, a new body, a new mind, but the same soul!¡± After thousands of years, it was ready to use the ¡°Heavenly Rebirth¡± technique. The requirements for this technique were simply impossible and even if those requirements were meet the probability of success was less than one-percent. Not only that, the heavens itself destroyed this technique but the Demon learned it before it was destroyed, that was one of the reasons it was sealed inside that mountain in the mortal realm. After thousands of years the requirements were finally meet and the Demon was ready to use it. ¡°Heavenly Rebirth.¡± Said the demon Suddenly the space around the Demon distorted and ripples were forming in the air. All the Qi gathered in thousands of years gathered around and formed a white cocoon around the Demon. As time goes by, the cocoon became smaller and smaller and now it was not more than a meter wide. Not much time passed and cracks started to appear, spreading on its entire surface while an incredible Dark qi started to leac out from the cracks. At this point the earth started to tremble. *boom* With an incredible loud sound the cocoon exploded and an incredible quantity of dark qi exploded through the peak of the mountain hitting the barrier, but the dark qi was unstoppable and it instantly broke through the barrier forming a dark rising tower that seemed to pierce the heavens. At this point, all the experts around the continent became aware of the strange anomaly in the sky, they could feel the immense dark qi coming from the sky. Feeling this dark qi, fear rose in their hearts, they couldn¡¯t help but look at the sky, seeing that dark tower and sensing the boundless power coming from it, many started to tremble, while many almost couldn¡¯t breathe anymore from the fear. Many fell on their knees and many thought the end of the world had came. But many top experts like sects heads, clan heads and other powerful experts shot in the sky flying toward the origin of this strange fenomen. Maybe they were hoping to gain some benefits, for simple curiosity or because they wanted to see what was happening with their eyes, but an incredible number of experts were flying with incredible speed towards the same place. Everyone was feeling unease. An incredible amount of rays of light flashed in the dark sky, all the rays of light were rushing in the same direction. The first to arrive rushed close to the origin of that anomaly but at no more than 500 meters from the dark tower, they died. As if they were at the bottom of the ocean and couldn¡¯t resist the incredible pressure. Their body contorted and distorted, those behind them could hear the sounds of their bones and flesh cracking and tearing, then retreated instantly. But those who were under the immense pressure couldn¡¯t move anymore. Many started to scream from the pain but in just a breath of time, exploded in pieces. Those who got too close, died without the chance to escape. Seeing this horrifying scene, no one dared to get close again. On a hill roughly 1 km from the dark tower, 5 experts stood with imposing figures. They were the heads of the 5 great sects of the Sun Kingdom. Beads of sweat were forming on their foreheads. They were not friends, the reason they were together now was because in case of emergency they could fight together. Even though they didn¡¯t like each other there was no other choice. ¡°Look!¡± The old man with the blue coat sensing that something was changing and called the others. The dark tower was shrinking until only a dark sphere was left. ¡°The Spirit Sealed Mountain disappeared!¡± Only now the only woman of the group spoke, even though her face was covered, one could understand just by listening to her voice how beautiful she have to be. Where before was the Spirit Sealed Mountain now was just a desolate plain. The mountain that was there before, now disappeared without a trace. A dark sphere like a black hole was in the spot where the mountain was located before. That sphere was darker than the night and it was shrinking bit by bit. Everyone waited, they couldn¡¯t do anything else but wait. Fear was inside their heart, their face pale. After some time, the sphere became a meter wide and it stopped to shrink. All the experts present were looking intensly as if their eyes were going to pop out. The dark sphere shrinked one more time but this time it shrinked to the size of a finger in less than a second. ¡°Wha..¡± ¡°Heavens!¡± No one could believe their eyes. What they couldn¡¯t believe wasn¡¯t the fact that the incredible huge sphere was now at the size of a finger but that after it shrinked it revealed the body of a child! ¡°How could this be!¡± One of the 5 sect heads that until now didn¡¯t spoke a single word couldn¡¯t suppress his voice anymore. The child was a newborn but his skin was deathly pale and even though he was a newborn it had long pitch black hair two times longer than his height. Everyone could sense a huge threat from this apparently harmless child. The child was sleeping, nothing could wake him up, not even the ruckus caused by so many people present. ¡°What is that?¡± The woman asked ¡°It¡¯s an aberration! We have to kill it before it can grow!!¡± The old man with the blue coat was the first to recover and yelled at the others. ¡°What are you saying?! How could we kill a child?¡± The woman clad in white rejected the idea of the old man. She didn¡¯t want to kill a child even though she too could feel the threat coming from the said child. ¡°If we don¡¯t kill him now then he will kill us in the future! Maybe you can¡¯t feel it, but I can feel bloodlust coming from that child!¡± The old man didn¡¯t wait for a reply and instantly flew high in the sky and started to use a strange martial skill. Suddenly, a white sword appeared in his hand. ¡°Heavenly Lighting!¡± Five Lighting shot at the same time from the sword and intersect midway from him and the child, forming one lighting many times stronger and thicker. It shot directly towards the child, as fast as light, but as it was getting close it curved and shot toward the old man who used the skill, with even greater might and speed, the old man was shocked but recovered quickly, he used another technique, this one was for difese. A huge earth wall formed in front of him but it only lasted an instant. As the lighting hit the wall, the wall was not better than paper, the lighting pierced through the wall. Before being pierced by the lighting, fear and regret appeared on the old man face as the lightning pierced through his heart. The old man become powder the instant after. Everyone present watched all of this happening, no one dared to move anymore. ¡°Fool. Die a dog death!¡± said the woman, not a hint of sadness in her voice. Who told him to recklessly attack something unknown? Everyone watched the child, waiting to see what will happen. They were not let to wait for too long, half an hour passed and the black pearl entered the child chest, exactly where his heart should be. The air started to tremble, beads of sweat formed on the forehead of everyone present as a cold shiver run through their spine. An oppresing dark qi started to flew out from the body of the child, pushing back everyone for hundreds of meters. Black symbols compared everywhere on his body, and with them, dark flames slowly covered his body. The flames expanded more and more, there was no heat nor sound coming from them, but those that were too weak caught fire, they burned with the same black flames covering their boy. There was no heat coming from the dark flames so those who were engulfed didn¡¯t feel any pain or the feeling of their skin burning, but soon, their skin became black and then it started to split, revealing the flesh and blood underneath. They still didn¡¯t feel any pain, but one after another they become aware of the changes in their body. Screams filled the air. Many tried to extinguish with various techniques, but no one was successful. After a few breaths of time, the flames intensified greatly, and they started to burn madly. In a mere instant not even the ash remained from those who were engulfed in those strange dark flames. ¡°RUN!¡± No one knew who said that first, but everyone knew that it was too dangerous to stay here. But before they could flee, the dark flames covering the child became more powerful. The ears of the presents started to ring and accompanied by several *booms* and shockwaves the child it shot in the sky like a black star, with a speed too fast even for those powerful experts to follow. They could only watch, powerless, as the child disappeared in the sky. Chapter 2 - Dark Meditation - From the shadow of the forest, a youth was praying on a wild beast drinking from a pond, the beast was not aware of the youth presence. His eyes were glowing in the dark with a silver glow, like two bright stars in the night sky. The strange thing was that his eyes didn¡¯t have pupils, his eyes were like pure silver pearls, stainless and cold. The boy flashed toward the beast who was drinking from the pond, every step he took was like the step of a shadow, there was no sound, no vibrations in the air, no change in the surroundings. Who could believe that this youth was only 10 years old? With a rusted sword in his hand he jumped above the beast who was still not aware of anything. While he was in midair, he pierced with his sword at the beast head, the sword instantly penetrated the beast¡¯s skull and the beast died without even knowing it. The blood oozed out of the wound spreading in the pond¡¯s water, staining it like poison. The youth watched the blood flowing out like a river, in his eyes no emotions could be seen. ¡°Good, with this we can eat for a while.¡± said the black haired youth, he then grabbed the beast from the neck and started to drag it deep in the forest. One has to understand that the beast was three times bigger than the youth but he killed and dragged it with ease. In the depth of the forest was an old wooden house, the small house was deteriorated by the passing time, now it was more like an abandoned house than a habitable one. Inside the house an old woman was lying on a straw mattress, her face pale, she was visibly sick. A young boy entered from the wooden door, seeing the old woman, he called out to her. ¡°Grandma, I¡¯m back. Today I was lucky, I found a huge Mile Boar!¡± The boy walked toward the old woman. The old woman, slowly, opened her tired eyes, looking at the boy, she knew that she had little time left. ¡°Shura, come close, I have to tell you something.¡± Hearing the weak voice of the old woman, his heart ached, he already knew that his Grandma had not much left to live. Shura sat down on the wooden floor, next to old woman. ¡°Grandma.¡± said Shura. ¡°Shura, ten years ago, when I found you inside the forest I was unsure of what to do with you, life here is hard even by myself, I was not able to take care of a child. In the end I decided to raise you on a whim. As time passed I started to love you as if you were my own son, and now is you who is caring for me. But, Shura, my son, I was exiled here when I was your age and I don¡¯t want you to end like me.¡± Then the old woman took an old book covered in dust from under the bed. ¡°When I was exiled to this place, my father gave me this book, I tried to learn the techniques inside it but I was not able to. I give it to you, maybe you will be successful in mastering those techniques.¡±. Sura took the old book and examined it, the book was very large and thick, made from an unknown pelt, it was very old. ¡°Thank you, Grandma.¡± Shura knew that this was her last gift to him, so he took it without hesitation. ¡°I should be the one thanking you, the life here was too quiet and lonely, only after I found you my days became more lively. After I die, go outside this cursed place, go in the outside world and live your life however you want. This is not the place where you should live your life. Don¡¯t forget, in this world, only the strong is free, while the weak is tramped on, me being exiled in this place is prof. Now, I want to rest a bit.¡± The old woman then closed her eyes, not breathing anymore. ¡°Grandma¡­¡± Shura, for the first time in his life, felt like crying, but he didn¡¯t. The days passed, Shura stood in the shadow of a large tree with the old book in his hands. ¡°World of Darkness¡± was written on book cover. Turning the first page Shura started to read the content. ¡°Dark Meditation¡± Dark Meditation is a unique Meditation training method, usually the Meditation techniques used the energy of nature to strengthen the body and the soul, increasing one¡¯s Qi, but this technique used the darkness to achieve a better result. The Darker the place where the Dark Meditation users used to meditate, the better. In order to learn the other techniques, the Dark Meditation was indispensable, that because all the techniques in the book were based on the energy of darkness. Following the instructions on the book, Shura tried to feel the darkness around him. After about an hour passed, Shura started to feel the darkness around him. It surprised him, he could feel how powerful and boundless this energy is. Without losing time, he started to absorb the energy as the book instructed. At this point, the place around Shura became darker and darker, as if night approached. Time passed, after 4 days, Shura was still absorbing the dark energy. Shura was not aware of how much time passed, he was in a state of mind as if he was sleeping. At this point the distance of a hundred meters around Shura was darker than the night, it was as if only in that place was night, while outside was day. If the creator of the book were to see this then he could die from the shock. Usually, to achieve this result one has to have a natural affinity with the darkness, and that was impossible. The humans, from the moment they were born, were made from natural energy, like water, fire, lightning, wind, earth, so their affinity could only be with those five. But Shura was not human, after so little time he achieved an impossible feat. After another 4 days, Shura opened his eyes. ¡°What, is this?¡± Said Shura. He was surprised to find out that he could sense everything in his surrounding for about a hundred meters. But not only that, he now could see in the dark more clear than the day. After absorbing the dark energy for eight days, his body changed too, his skin was a lot more healthier and now it was like white jade, clean and tender, his eyes are clearer and his hair darker. He felt as if his strength too, was increased by many times over and over. This was a huge transformation. Though, to achieve this result, a normal person would need at least a year or two, but Shura was no normal person. He didn¡¯t knew that tough. He took a huge breath and stood up to check his body. He was now taller and his body was like that of a 12 years boy. To his surprise, he could sense something strange inside his body, concentrating on that part, he was stupefied by what he found, inside him was a huge empty space, he couldn¡¯t understand how something like that could exist, but what surprised him the most was what was inside that space, a black pearl was in the center of that huge empty space inside his body. The black pearl was absorbing a part of the dark energy he was gathering from outside. At the same time, the pearl was strengthening his body and cultivation. Shura could feel that the black pearl was part of his body and that his strength was not enough to examine it. Knowing that he can do nothing about it he decided to leave the black pearl alone for now. Shura decided to learn the first martial skill of the book. Strangely, after so many days without eating or drinking, he was not thirsty or hungry. A week passed. Shura learned the first skill In the old book ¡°Shadow Steps¡±, like a shadow, his steps were impossible to detect, even more than before, now when walking or running, he was like a shadow. Darker the place is, the more this technique was strong. The technique have 8 steps, for now Shura mastered only the first step. Every step, the skill will became more profound and strong. Another week passed but Shura still couldn¡¯t see the end of the forest. He just couldn¡¯t believe how huge this forest is. He was running at incredible speed, but he was still far from reaching the end of the forest. Night approached, it was time for him to stop and rest, but then in front of him appeared a long plain, in the middle of the plain was an old ruined well, it was strange for a well to be in a place like this. Shura decided to walk toward the old well. He felt some kind of attraction from that old well. The well was old, you could say ancient, some stone bricks were missing and some were full of cracks, the major part was covered in moss. Looking inside the well, Shura was surprised that he couldn¡¯t see the bottom of the well even with his sight. Shura took a stone and threw it inside the well, the stone hit the walls but there was no sound of the stone reaching the bottom, Shura couldn¡¯t even guess how deep that well should be. He bent one more time to look inside the well, but as he bent he felt someone pushing him from behind, he didn¡¯t even have the time to react, when he understood what happened, Shura was already falling inside the well. Shura tried to grab at the walls of the well but to his surprise the walls were too slippery so he couldn¡¯t stop his falling, he disappeared in the abyss. A short delay.
