《The Omnipotent's boredom》 Prologue: Shall we Play Hello my dear guests, I am oh so incredibly grateful that you have decided to join me. My name is Hyperion, and I hope through this game that we will be playing. As I hope you have been informed I am the god of this dimension, and as such within the confines of this dimension I am omnipotent. As I¡¯m sure many of you can guess, to be omnipotent is to live an incredibly boring life. You see the reason why we are playing this game is to alleviate my boredom, now, now, don¡¯t be worried, I would never think of harming my guest. Now let me explain this game to you, you see as you are not technically part of my dimension, your action, their effects, and other such things are unknown to me, and this is the key principle of our game. With your help we will be creating an organism that will be outside my sphere of influence, and this is where you come in, at regular interval, I will give you all an option and we will take a vote, and from there proceed. Now for the first choice what creature do you want to watch per say. For this particular choice there will be ten options, of which each of you will pick two. You will pick a base creature and an element. You see the world that I have chosen for this game to begin is one ruled by beasts, one with magic, and creatures from myths of your world. Birth ¡°Alright, so it seems that my esteemed guest are at a bit of an impasse. Let me help you then, since both fire and wind have an equal amount of votes we will go with an element that has the main attributes of both, I think lightning will be decent middle ground have both wind¡¯s focus on speed and fire focus on power. As you all have an avian as the base creature, I hum, I have an idea. Now let me warn all of you this will feel quite strange but, bear with it and we will watch as the creature proceeds.¡± An all-consuming darkness spreads and light tremor can be felt, but that is all. Soon the tremors become stronger and light floods in from above revealing a cluster of three white eggs, each egg is about a foot in diameter. A creature resembling an owl with fierce golden pupils and interlaced yellow, white, and black feathers. Behind the owl the sun is rising casting it¡¯s shadow on the cluster of eggs. When the sun reaches its highest point one of the eggs begins shacking and a few minutes and cracks later a feathered head pokes out from the egg. The head stares intently at the larger owl with its own pair of golden eyes. Its feathers nearly identical to its parent¡¯s. Soon after the other two other chicks break out of their eggs one being pitch black and the other pure white. This story originates from a different website. Ensure the author gets the support they deserve by reading it there. ¡°So each one of my little ones take on one of my element interesting. Now little ones follow me, we can¡¯t stay here any longer.¡± Saying this the larger bird flaps its wings and took to the air. The one who broke out of its shell copied the larger one¡¯s movements, taking to the sky unsteadily. The other two following soon after. Out of the three chicks the one with coloration similar to the larger one was the fastest followed by the black one and lastly the white one. The larger one stops after an hour of flying to the south and says ¡°I will leave you little ones hear for the next week, you will have to survive for that time. When I return, I will pick you up and you will meet your father. Until them goodbye.¡± After the larger one finishes speaking it flaps its wings once more, and disappears from sight. The one who first broke out from the shell quickly looked around seeing a mountain, a chasm, and what seems to be never ending plains. Feast or Famine Chapter 3 Feast or Famine The golden chick quickly flies towards the mountain landing at the mouth of a cave halfway up the mountain. As it waddled towards the cave it¡¯s two ¡®siblings¡¯ landed following behind it. Inside the cave are a small flowing stream, and many small glowing worms. The chicks quickly started devouring the worms. After finally eating after flying for the last few hour The first of the three to wake up was the golden chicks who once again ate its fill, before it jumped into the stream. Once it left the stream a soft clicking reverberated through the cave, originating from deeper in the cave. The other chicks had woken up by this point and the pitch back chick quickly wobbled towards the source of the noise. The two other chicks quickly followed and the three came across a several huge moths suspended in the air. The three chicks approached the still moths, but the black chick gets stuck in a web. As soon as the chick got stuck a ten foot long spider appears from the back of the cave rushing towards the chicks. The black chick managed to cut through the web with her back and all three managed to flee to the mouth of the cave. Outside the cave was complete darkness. Confrontation From now on the firstborn chick will be referred to as golden chick while the other two will be the same. Sorry about the uneven scheduled school has been a pain, but I will be putting up 3 chapters every week to give polls some time to finish. After this week chapters should be up every Tuesday, Thursday and, either Saturday or Sunday. Thank you for your patience and viewership. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Reaching the mouth of the cave, the black chick collapses. Its two siblings lay besides it and, fall asleep. Once the three wake up they feast on the remaining worms for the entire day. After eradication the glowing worms they fall asleep once more. Waking up with the rising sun, the three once more venture into the bellows of the cave. The firstborn chick took flight upon seeing the web, and began cutting the places connecting it to the wall. The spider feeling the disturbance to its web ran out of the shadows and charged at the two chicks still on the ground. Once enough of the web was separated from the wall it fell under the weight of the moths, falling onto the spider. Taken from Royal Road, this narrative should be reported if found on Amazon. Seeing the web pinning the spider, the white and black chicks begin circling it and pecking at its legs. Unfortunately the white chick managed to get hit by one of the spider¡¯s legs sending it crashing into the wall. The black chick infuriated by the spider hitting its sibling, tried to attack the spider¡¯s head, only to be caught by its mandibles. The black chick let out a miserable cry as the mandibles started to contract. Looking at the flying chick, its normally golden eyes were tinted red and opening it¡¯s beak a ball of lightning quickly grew to be larger than the chick itself, before it fired it of at the spider, leaving a 60cm(2ft) hole in the abdomen of the spider. Having killed the spider the flying chick fell to the ground. The black chick got out of the spider¡¯s mouth and brought its sibling together in the middle of the room before falling asleep. After about an hour the golden chick woke up again and started devouring the spider, eating the entire spider before moving over to wake its other siblings. Father The first one to move is the golden chick, now significantly larger, and with a new green tint to its golden feathers. It quickly preceded to cut the web around the moths and pulling them into three separate piles. Soon its siblings wake up, surprised by their sibling¡¯s sudden change in coloration. They then look at the three piles and each move next to one. They spend the next three days living off the moths. ¡°Well, my little chicks, a week¡¯s up, I¡¯ll wait up here for an hour if you don¡¯t show up by then I¡¯ll assume you dead and leave.¡± A familiar voice resounds through the cave. All three chicks quickly fly out of the cave towards the giant golden owl flying above the mountain. ¡°Oh, it seems all three of you have survived, how interesting, and you my first have managed to gain an interesting trait haven¡¯t you. Well it¡¯s of no importance at the moment, but follow me we¡¯re going to meet your father.¡± The larger owl says. With that they start flying and after several hours they are flying over a verdant forest, one that seems to stretch out in all directions eternally. Soon enough they¡¯re fling towards a tree that¡¯s much larger than the rest reaching above the tree line. They land on a branch about halfway up the tree, they go past several empty nests, moving closer the center of the tree. Where the branch separates from the tree is a much larger nest made with several pieces of colored metal. In the nest is a large was a significantly larger owl with pure white feathers. If you discover this tale on Amazon, be aware that it has been unlawfully taken from Royal Road. Please report it. ¡°It¡¯s good to see you again my dear, how have our chicks fared during their trials.¡± The owl in the nest says, its voice ringing with tranquility. ¡°Quite well it would seem, all three survived and, our first born seems to have gained an extra elemental affinity from somewhere.¡± The large golden owl says. ¡°Really quite interesting, but let us talk about that later, now let¡¯s get to naming them.¡± The Owl in the nest says. ¡°Well then, you¡± it says pointing to the black chick ¡°your name shall be Umbra. You¡± now pointing at the one with the white feathers ¡°shall be known as Lumen¡± ¡°Now you your name will be...¡±
