《Fallen Divine Online》 Prologue and Chapter 1: The Red Sky Writer''s Note: This story was already rated based on other stories and not this one. Wow. People wanted a story more in tune with virtual reality gaming, modern Earth, fantasy, and all that causing havoc as it became real life. Releases are random as it is a side story. I just want to say that if you criticize writers on this site, at least be one or give constructive criticism. Thanks for reading. Prologue and Chapter 1: The Red Sky The beta phase of the popular MMO, Fallen Divine Online, had its popularity spread world-wide. It could only be played on a special hand-held device that were mysteriously distributed all over the world. The believed number of beta testers was ten thousand. Why was it special? It was the world''s first legitimate virtual reality game where your mind actually enters the game as a player character. You could also choose to play it as a hand-held game if you preferred playing in third-person. No one knew where the game came from, save that the game had the logo of a company named World Tribulation Gaming. It was a game with a world the exact copy of Earth and combined fantasy and science fiction into one. The game allowed players to play as a warrior, mage, or rogue class. A total of seventeen classes were available to choose upon reaching level 10. The warrior classes were knight, berserker, gladiator, cultivator, and monk. The mage classes were elementalist, summoner, templar, cleric, and sniper. The rogue classes were archer, assassin, gunslinger, thief, pirate, beast master, and engineer. No matter the class, each person was randomly assigned a soul core. These cores had thirteen ranks, each giving their own power, skills, and buffs to be unlocked as you progressed in the game. The core ranks were coal, bronze, iron, steel, silver, gold, black gold, diamond, mithril, adamantine, dragon, saint, and demi-god. To the cultivator class, the higher the better as their level progression speed depended on it. It did not matter for any other class. They only cared about the power, skills, and buffs. The game had a total of a hundred levels and ten prestige levels. In other words, you are reverted back to level 1 but gain a unique skill, weapon, or armor only you could have or use. As it was the beta phase, level progression had no difficulties and less than fifty reached the eighth prestige. In the game, classes used what were called divine arts. This was the name of the skills used by each class. Players also had the option to choose which elements they wanted affinities to. Some classes and races restricted having some elements which was not necessarily a bad thing. The more element affinities you had, the more versatility in combat. However, your affinity would decrease with each additional element. These affected the chance of learning some skills in the game that had affinity level restrictions. This was the reason the cultivator class was the weakest at the beginning but had the most potential as they relied on their cores to progress and gain higher stat increases compared to other classes. The best part about the game were the five races. The race you chose determined your racial traits, abilities, story, and how the world reacted to you. Six races were offered, one of them a beta only race. That race was the celestial race. The other five races were the high human, elf, cyborg, angel, and beast. High humans are able to be any class and gain affinities to all nine elements. Their stats were balanced all around and foes they kill dropped in-game currency by 1.5 times. At higher levels, the racial ability would definitely make them the richest race to play. Many players chose this race as you could only make one character in the game from the start of the release. However, the beta phase character had the option to make one permanent character and one test character that could be created and deleted an infinite amount of times. The test character would be deleted upon the official release while the permanent character would gain a unique item upon the official release of the game upon reaching a certain level. Thus, people experimented with the other races before leveling their permanent character to the required level. The elven race was divided into four subcategories, each with their pros and cons. The elven races were divided into blood elf, high elf, wood elf, and dark elf. Those who chose the cyborg race had higher health and defense stats than others. The problem was that they could not play pure mage classes: elementalist and summoner. They could still be clerics and templars, but cyborgs had double damage modifiers if they played modern Earth classes, such as pirate, gunslinger, engineer, or sniper. The angel race comprised of angels, fallen angels, nephilim, and devils. Angels automatically have light affinity with no dark affinity allowed, fallen angels had both, nephilim could make their wings appear or disappear, and devils had opposite affinities and restrictions to angels. Devils could also customize part of their body or turn all of it into a monster in humanoid form. The beast race were humanoids with the appearance of animals. They could be any animal they wished, the game sometimes taking a moment to update an animal it did not have registered prior to the request. It was the most diverse class and was best suited for warrior and rogue classes as they had less divine energy than others. Mages, warriors, and rogues used divine energy for all their divine arts. The beast race also had higher stats dependent of the physique of the beast they chose. Then, there was the beta only race. The celestial race was one that transcended the boundary of the in-game Earth and the spirit world, fusing with a spirit and gaining its power. No matter how many elements they chose, one element would be at one hundred percent affinity. Not even those who only chose one element passed the ninety seven percent affinity range. They could also customize their bodies as they wished. This was the gratitude given by the company for beta testing. Upon reaching the next prestige, one could customize the character from scratch before becoming level 1 again with higher stats. The only thing you could not change was your name. The nine element of the game were earth, water, wind, air, lightning, wood, light, darkness, and the neutral element of arcane. They could also be changed, but the prestige item or skill might sometimes be tied to one element. Thus, the customization options were truly appreciated then as the players would be more experienced and experiment new playing styles to revolutionize the current trends. The revolutionary game changed virtual reality gaming, and the rest of the world was envious of those lucky ten thousand. However, they could not foresee that such a great game had such a terrifying price. On the day of the official release, the world changed. January 1, 2077 was known as the Red Sky Incident for it was the day of the official release. People found out, then, how they would receive a copy of the game. From ten thousand to three hundred million and ten thousand. Those players soon became mankind''s one and only defense and offense in the days to come. ----------------------------------- "Five minutes to New Year''s! Everybody dance!" the DJ at the Circus Circus Adventuredome Theme Park in Las Vega shouted, turning up the music. Everyone was packed and excited inside the Theme Park. Children laughed and parents took pictures for the memories. It was really festive and everyone had a great time as they waited for the minute countdown to start. A group of freshmen college students were also celebrating as they sat in front of a hot dog stand, one boy seated at a table nearby. "Dude, where have you been?" a teen named Jorge Rivera asked as he saw another teen with jet black hair and blue eyes walk toward him. "Sorry. The charger for my handheld was running out," Magnus Wang sighed. "I just wanted to reach the seventh prestige before the official release. I now have seven prestige awards. I''m all set. When the official release comes, I''ll get my beta phase reward and choose my new affinities." "I stopped at third prestige and became level one again. Relationships take up time," Jorge laughed as they waited for the countdown. "Where''s your girl, Melissa?" Magnus asked. "She''s not good with crowds and is back at the hotel with her kid brother, Alexander," Jorge shrugged. "He couldn''t stay up and just clocked out for the night. When''s the official release anyway?" "The game said New Year''s so in about thirty seconds," Magnus answered as the crowd looked at the clock and cheered. "5....4.....3.....2.....1...HAPPY NEW YEAR!" the DJ and the crowd celebrated and Magnus brought out two shots of beer. "Where did you get those?" Jorge asked. "Nicked them off a guy who was counting down. Cheers," Magnus said and they drank the shots, grunting a little due to the taste. "Let''s go to your girl''s room. She''ll want that kiss." "Shut up," Jorge laughed as Magnus Wang turned on his game. It was in third person mode, the virtual reality helmet in his bag back at the hotel. He was in the game''s interface and choosing his race and affinities. This tale has been unlawfully lifted from Royal Road. If you spot it on Amazon, please report it.
Update Complete You have chosen to keep the celestial race. Race is no longer available and the testing character is permanently deleted if applicable. All your items, skills, and equipment are deleted unless otherwise indicated. Titles are exempt from this rule.
Welcome Beta Survivor: Magnus You have chosen to play the celestial race, one of three thousand who kept the beta only race. Your main affinity is water and also have affinities for light, fire, and lightning. Your class is cultivator with an adamantine core. Congratulations! Character Profile Updated Spirit Contracted: Undine the Great Spirit of Water Class Skills: Healing Meditation, Inferno Fist Cultivator Manual: Diamond Ocean Sword Manual Legendary item retained: Legendary Palace Dimension
"Whew, that''s a relief. My core is finally above black gold for once and the sword manual seems interesting. Legendary items cannot be deleted as they are one-of-a-kind items you have to slave for days to get," Magnus sighed with relief as the duo arrived at the hotel and took the elevator to the eight floor. He really worked hard to get the Legendary Palace Dimension. It even came with water spirit servants and terracotta guards. He had to subdue and replace his spirit with a Great Spirit in the end. That Great Spirit was Undine. Only one Great Spirit existed per element and spirits were the same for each character unless you replaced with with another spirit. They determined how powerful a divine art you could learn in regards to the element of the spirit.
Prestige Rewards
Items Received upon Prestige First Prestige: Shatter Steel Swarm (strange divine skill) Second Prestige: Holy Lance (holy divine skill) Third Prestige: Dranzex the Deicide Blade (heavy long sword) Fourth Prestige: Divine Saber (divine sword skill) Fifth Prestige: Demonic Ape King (able to shrink itself for travel convenience) Sixth Prestige: Infinite Space Belt (unlimited inventory storage item) Seventh Prestige: Soul Refining Cauldron(newly awarded)
"Soul Refining Cauldron?" Magnus frowned and inspected the item.
Soul Refining Cauldron An item used to refine souls, the very essence of life. It is considered a cultivator''s most sacred artifact. Awarded to Magnus for reaching level 100 seven times with the cultivator class. Every creature you kill will have its soul trapped within the cauldron. Occasionally, the cauldron will spawn an item. Whether it is useful or not is up to chance and the power of the soul while it lived.
"It''s kind of like a lottery item. I suppose that''s good?" Magnus shrugged as he and Jorge entered the hotel room. "Hello Jorge. Hello Magnus," a blonde girl smiled as she saw them enter, kissing Jorge as Magnus sped inside. "How''s Alexander? Still sleeping?" Jorge asked as he held Melissa in his arms. "Yeah. Happy New Year," she smiled. "Yeah," Jorge said as he held her in his arms. "Happy New Year." "What the fuck?" Magnus said as he tapped his black handheld. "What''s wrong?" Jorge asked as Magnus never cussed. They were neighbors for ten years and even attended the same college. Magnus never cussed unless something wrong happened in the game or something really bad happened in real life. "It says the game Fallen System, the game system, says that Earth is being modified and the appropriate players will be awarded with the game soon," Magnus said. "The game says that when the red sky dawns during the night, the Hellion will return to Earth. That doesn''t make sense. How does day dawn at night?" "The suns not out. Virtual reality can''t happen in real life and the Hellion are already in in-game Earth," Jorge laughed until Magnus rushed out to the balcony and gazed at the moon. "Not if its a lunar eclipse. Look, the sky''s turning red. It''s not possible. Mankind does not have access to that technology, even in the game!" Magnus cried as he fell on his knees in shock. "No way...." Jorge said as he and Melissa stepped outside, hearing Melissa shriek as a ball of light appeared. Magnus and Jorge paled in shock as a pink handheld, similar to Magnus''s black and Jorge''s white handheld, appeared before her.
System Announcement
Beta Phase: Over. Main Phase: Initiated The virtual reality world must have been fun for you all. Now, it is time to experience virtual reality as reality itself. All characters are reverted to level 1 if applicable. Three hundred million people were randomly assigned to become spirit lords, those who are blessed with divine arts. Contracted spirits are immediately accessible. Elements, core, and race are automatically assigned. Classes are available from level 10. Beta Survivors are immediately granted their classes and awards will be distributed shortly. Only players are able to combatant the Hellion. Only players are immune to their corruption. If all the Beta Survivors die, the Earth ends. You are allowed three hours to prepare for the Hellions'' arrival. Welcome to Fallen Divine Online. Life is fleeting and death is eternal. Humans living: 7, 265, 149, 831 Beta Survivors: 10,000 Total players: 300,010,000 Time until Hellion arrival: 2 hours, 59 minutes, 56 seconds
"Oh my god," Jorge gasped as he received a similar message. "This is the main phase?" "My head!" Melissa screamed and passed out from the pain. Gold light shined on her. Jorge passed out soon after reading an invisible system message.
Beta Reward: Teleportation Talisman
Live on Earth will soon turn to Hell. Mankind cannot possibly predict the outcome. Transportation becomes crucial in these desperate times. Able to teleport you and four others to any distance within fifty miles. Cool down is four hours. Use it well. Magnus Wang will soon faint to complete character conversion process. Thank you for playing Fallen Divine Online during its Beta Phase. No doubt, you now realize why the prestige system was easily achieved during the beta phase. Prestige is no longer viable now. Level progression is many times slower and difficult. Try not to die on the first day, Beta Survivor. You are a Beta Survivor and even prestige seven times. Sure, others prestige nine times, but you possess the Soul Refining Cauldron. Hellion may come back to life in a new form, but your item prevents that. You are now the hunted. Do not expose your status. You''ve been warned. Family who are also players: Marlin Wang (little brother)
"My brother is....is..." Magnus said before a pain flashed in his mind and fell on his knees, struggling to stay conscious. Only Jorge and Melissa knew he was a Beta Survivor, like Jorge, as both denied playing the game. They even lied to their parents, mostly so they could still play but Magnus never told his little brother. While he left Los Angeles to celebrate in Las Vegas, his brother went with his friends to New York. He could only imagine the chaos before darkness took its hold. Chapter 2: The Awakening Writer''s Note: Hello! I will try to make this story like a virtual reality in real life. I''ll try to make it as unique as I can. Random four chapter release Today. The Snake Immortal is scheduled to be released tomorrow. Stories start up fast with ideas so don''t be surprised with these four chapters being released. Enjoy the read.. Chapter 2: The Awakening *Beep. Beep*
Body Modification in Progress
You have a total of 13 customization points due to reaching Prestige 7. Here is how they are be distributed Youth: each point will age back 5 years. Age cannot go under 10. Physique: each point will add a year''s worth of professional training to the body. Strength: each point will double current strength. Agility: each point will increase your speed by twice the amount. Intelligence: each point will increase brain''s memorization process. Wisdom: each point makes you smarter by 20 IQ points. Beauty: each point adds beauty in terms of society''s view and not a particular person. Reflex: each point doubles reflexes. Senses: each point heightens senses.
Warning This is the only time such a change is made by choice. Choose well. If you do not know your own body: tough luck.
"Where am I?" Magnus asked as all he saw was darkness, the table glowing in front of him as he floated above it. "Your mind is in the Void, a place you cannot understand. There are no Earth words to describe it," a voice answered. "Time on Earth is paused until each of the 300 million normal Spirit Lords and the 10 thousand Beta Survivors make their choices. When you awaken, you must choose ten skills, or the equivalent. Clarifications will be made when you awaken." "There is no point to youth as 18 is the best. I don''t want to go back to third year middle school as a thirteen year old. Physique is a must. It must mean overall muscle mass and endurance. I don''t need strength as I am a warrior class cultivator. I''ll probably add a point in intelligence and wisdom. I''ll add a point in beauty. I''ll admit I am kind of vain," Magnus laughed. "Still, it should make the physique more appropriate. The problem is reflexes and senses...." "Have you decided?" the voice asked. "I''ll add a single point to intelligence, wisdom, and beauty. Two points will go to physique, senses, and agility, and four points will go to reflex," Magnus answered. "Four in reflex? Why?" the voice asked. "Why are you asking me that?" Magnus asked. "It is what is asked to all the Spirit Lords and Beta Survivor Spirit Lords. The Divine System asks the reason for the highest stat change," the voice answered. "Well, reflexes are the most important for fighting. It lets you respond to sudden changes more quickly and seems like agility, but lets you do things normal people cannot," Magnus answered. "Very well. The body modifications are complete. You will awaken as a cultivator of the celestial race. Your stat distributions are finalized. You have three hours to prepare for the arrival of the Hellion. Just like leveling in the game, you are awarded two stats you can distribute over four categories per level. Choose them well. Certain objectives and events can also award stat points. Weapons and armor have certain armor and damage ratings. Dranzex the Deicide Blade is a growth item of the prestige rank. Its damage cannot be calculated. Good luck," the voice said as the final tables appeared.
Stat Table Power: determines physical damage and defense. Magic: determines magic damage and defense. Recovery: determines divine energy and physical regeneration. Spirit: determines spirit energy within the body.
Item Ranking System White Tier: Level 1-9. Green Tier: Level 10-19. Bronze Tier: Level 20-29. Iron Tier: Level 30-39. Silver Tier: Level 40-49. Gold Tier: level 50-59. Rune Tier: Level 60-69. Valkyrie Tier: Level 70-79. Heaven Tier: Level 80-89. Legend Tier: Level 90-99. God Tier: Level 100
Note All prestige items are growth items. Growth items are not included in ranking system. Crafted items still apply in ranked system.
---------------Back in the real world----------------- "Ugh," Magnus groaned as his consciousness returned to his body. "You look normal," a voice said, a younger male by the sound of it as Magnus opened his eyes. "Sister also looks normal.....whoa! Jorge has pointy ears and crimson eyes!" "Alex?" Melissa asked, sitting up as she stared at Alexander. "You''re awake?" "Yeah! I saw a blue box shine in my dream and woke up, the box still there. What''s happening? Why did you guys faint?" Alexander Smith asked, the eleven year old confused and scared as he hugged his sister. "Why''s the sky red?" "You both look the same but more toned and beautiful. I''m glad my girlfriend looks even more beautiful. I''m a luck guy but.....Magnus, really?" Jorge laughed. "I had thirteen. You had nine. I could spare one customization, four more than you in any category," Magnus shrugged. "We have to stay away from Beta Survivors," Melissa began. "They''ll attract danger." "Let''s pick our ten skills before we do anything. Try to pick skills that could be useful or save your life," Magnus said, staring at Jorge who nodded. Multiple tables had appeared before the three of them, Alexander looking at them as they seemed to inspect something invisible. After an hour, Magnus was the last to pick his ten skills, or the equivalent. There was a reason why the voice said the equivalent: some skills were over-powered and considered more than one. [tr] [tr]
Chosen Skills: 7Skill Information Swordsmanship: increased proficiency with wielding swords. Kick: increased proficiency with kicks and anything involved with lower body. Hidden Weapons: able to make various weapons that are undetectable on your person. Tailor: able to craft divine light armor. Spirit Sense: sense and communicate with spirits. Able to detect spirit energy. Berserk Will: increased divine energy by drawing upon the Spirit Lord''s core. Destroyer Aura: 4 skill equivalent. Creates a black aura around your core and can radiate from body. Able to hide spirit energy and block damage from Hellion miasma. Pain is lessened when aura is active.
"Whoa! You chose an over-powered skill?" Jorge said as he saw the aura. Only over-powered skills could create auras. "Yeah. They are better than regular skills. I would have chosen blacksmith, but the hidden weapons skills allows me to make all kinds of weapons. All I needed is tailoring, to make light armor," Magnus answered. "That''s cuz you chose to be a cultivator. Me? I chose to be an elementalist again. Got to love the magic. Chose to be a blood elf. Thus, the pointy ears and crimson eyes. I got my prestige two-handed sword, prestige chain mail shirt, and my one-of-a-kind two-handed magic sword skill. I had to be an advanced mage class. My title is Spell Blade, you know. Meaning: I can wear leather or heavy armor despite the mage class! Ha!" Jorge laughed. "I forgot what your title was." "Sword Sage, the perfect title for a cultivator. Given to me for being the first person to ever prestige. It allows me to create flying swords of the appearance of my Dranzex sword. I''m sure the people who were the first to reach second to ninth prestige got similar titles of power," Magnus said and turned to Alexander and Melissa. "You two okay?" "This is all so sudden. Also, why don''t I have a class? I cannot even choose to be a rogue," Melissa asked. "What skills did you pick?" Jorge asked. "I chose chef, leather work, carpentry, archery, blacksmith, spirit sense, stealth, apothecary, tracking, and hawk eye," she answered. "I wanted to be a beast master and own my own pet. However, I forgot I needed to be level 10 to get classes. Since you two have classes, you are both Beta Survivors? What''s this about titles?" "You''re both Beta Survivor Spirit Lords?" Alexander gasped. "Just tell them," Magnus said, Jorge sighing and turned to the siblings. "Yes, Magnus and I played the beta version of the game. He chose the warrior class: cultivator. As for me, I chose the mage class known as the elementalist. Titles are extremely rare. You only get them by reaching your first prestige. Prestige means to reach level 100 and revert back to level 1 for a one-of-a-kind item or skill. The highest prestige I heard of is four people reaching the ninth prestige. Of course, the Divine System made prestige impossible from now on. You also get titles by doing certain actions up to the point where you kill your first world boss," Jorge answered and turned to Magnus. "I also chose spirit sense, but can''t sense any spirit energy in you." If you encounter this tale on Amazon, note that it''s taken without the author''s consent. Report it. "It is the Destroyer Aura skill. It counts as four skills and one effect is hiding my spirit energy. My clothes give it away though," Magnus answered. "Since the game was mostly played in the United States, most of those three hundred million should be here. Alex, how did you get affected as a non-player?" "Um, the system says my level goes up to 9 and that is the limit of white tier equipment. The game says I can be a vassal to a Spirit Lord and increase limit to level 39, the peak for the iron tier items. However, being a Vassal means that I can only use my divine skills based on my Spirit Lords rules. I become an advanced class, like yours, but only learn the two basic class skills you learned at level 10," Alex answered. "Until I become a Vassal, I don''t know any skills like my sister." "Regular Spirit Lords get their first skills at level 10 when they choose a class. According to the voice, that''s what it was like in the beta phase," Melissa agreed. "I do only know three skills, because of my prestige skill. Of the seven times Magnus reached prestige, he got three prestige skills. Thus, he should know five," Jorge assessed. "Do you pick what you get?" Melissa asked. "Oh. No, you don''t. The game gives you a prestige item or skill based on what you lack," Jorge said as the siblings noticed a small white-furred monkey appear on Magnus''s shoulder with a bright red face and red-colored, fur-less chest. It had a long white tail and rested on his head, appearing very cute to the others. "A monkey!" Alexander cried. "Is it a Hellion?" "No way! That''s a pet! I thought only beast masters get one. How did you get one?" Melissa said and Jorge cleared his throat, drawing their attention. "That is a Demonic Ape King, a reward Magnus got for reaching the fifth prestige. You get a prestige pet if you soloed for a hundred levels and did not party with anyone for assistance. It was proven by a solo player who got his pet for reaching third prestige and posted it on the forum. The forum is closed, so we can''t access it. I''ll bet it opens in a few days. During the beta phase, every choice you made impacted the prestige award. The Divine System, the game''s system, told us that when we first played the game," Jorge said. "Beast masters are able to tame certain creatures to replace their pet, or feed them to the current pet to evolve it. It was the favorite class among beta testers for the first two months, some choosing to remain as a beast master to upgrade their pet through the prestige awards." "We cannot let anyone know we are Beta Survivors. Just tell them we are Spirit Lords, if they ask," Magnus warned the siblings and turned to Jorge. "You can still pass off as a Spirit Lord as we are allowed to wear any weapon, but cannot learn certain weapon skills. However, your Spell Blade title allows you to wear any armor. Just wear that chain mail shirt beneath light armor or risk exposure." "I even picked the blacksmith class," Jorge sighed. "Still, you''re right. I can still wear under armor. I''ll make or buy heavy armor to prepare for the time I am exposed. Growth items drop at random so we can still wield our weapons, even now. Let''s first find and secure food." "What about our weapons?" Melissa asked as she saw a two-handed sword appear before Jorge. The siblings and Jorge saw a sword, belt, jade cauldron, and black talisman with cyan runes appear before Magnus. "What are those?" "Ah, these are our prestige items. This is my prestige great sword: Spirit Titan," Jorge grinned as he put the great sword on his back, a sheath appearing out of thin air. "Too bad I don''t got any money." "This is my prestige heavy long sword, Dranzex the Deicide Blade. I got it for killing a Death God and defeating and binding Undine, the Great Spirit of Water. I did that before I prestige and was awarded with the sword for it. Non-players don''t get those and Melissa should be able to sense the spirit in her handheld when she chooses a class and her element affinities. We''ll explain those then," Magnus began as he put the sword at back. "Looks like a fantasy sword from those Chinese wuxia," Melissa noted. "Whats that black paper slip for? The one with the runes?" "Ah, this? It allows me to access my Legendary Palace Dimension. Let''s just say that it is my own private pocket dimension. I got water spirits I captured to be servants and terracotta soldiers as animated guards. Had to pay a fortune for an earth element specialized elementalist of the celestial race to animate each one. The water spirits was the easy part, my personal spirit being Undine," Magnus answered as he stored the cauldron and talisman into his belt, strapping the belt around his waist. "Too you lose all your money with each prestige." "I know. I was a multi-millionaire and now I''m broke," Jorge agreed. "You lose legendary weapons and armor as well. Only legendary items from world quests are exempt. I can only imagine how Victor will react now that the virtual world is now a part of the real world." "Victor?" Melissa asked. "He''s Magnus''s nemesis," Jorge laughed until Magnus glared at him. "Self-proclaimed by Victor, of course. Victor reached eighth prestige and his spirit is Infernus, the Great Spirit of Fire. In the game, you use your real first name and your in-game appearance is similar to real life. face-wise. He failed to get the palace because Magnus killed him. Magnus is a PKK while Victor was one of the top ten PK. "Player killer and player killer-killer," Magnus explained to the siblings. "People kill others for items and currency that drop at random. However, you get penalized by losing a level if you die, a bounty is put on you, you cannot enter a city until a day in-game passes, and no one gets penalized for killing you. You also drop two items if you die. Unless it is a prestige, quest reward, or growth item: anything else will drop. I got ten thousand spirit coins and his favorite dagger upon killing Victor. Sold it to him too, for a higher market value." "See? It''s no wonder Victor hates him. What''s the plan?" Jorge asked. "We go to Miami. Your girlfriend''s parents live there and my brother is celebrating New Year''s with his best friend who moved there. He should be heading to Miami, so that''s our destination. We can''t take a flight as it is easy prey for flying Hellion," Magnus answered. "Will mom and dad be okay?" Alex asked. "Can''t you call them?" Jorge asked. "Phones are offline. No connection," Melissa said as she checked her cell. "We can only wait for the forum to open as we get there by foot," Jorge sighed. "I got my beta reward: a teleportation talisman. However, I can only go fifty miles and the cool down is four hours. I can''t use it blindly as I might take us to a place crawling with them," Magnus said. "Fuck, all those people are going crazy. Luckily, we entered the hotel. People must be scrambling for their stuff. Let''s go to the kitchens of the buffet. We should be the first ones there and beat up any in our way," Jorge said. "My beta reward was a storage ring that can store a hundred items, stacks of the same item are allowed. You and I can just store them all." "I''ll head up to the lower floors and and break into them for cash. We''ll need it until people value the spirit coins more than dollars," Magnus said and stored their bags and changed into pure black clothes, his motorcycle helmet on his head. "I''ll first hit the upper floors and penthouse. I''ll store any clothes I find. We could use them and I have the tailor skill. Don''t forget, Jorge, we get one extra stat per prestige. See you in the casino parking lot. Break into where the ushers keep the keys and find a big truck. There will be chaos when the Hellion arrive." "You guys get any weapons?" Jorge said as Magnus checked his handheld for the game''s forums. "We only get this black staff," Melissa said as the siblings pulled it out of thin air. "Ah, the novice staffs. Those are the only items you can make appear or disappear from thin air. We need to get you guys armor and weapons. Well, let''s get our food first," Jorge said and turned to Magnus who pulled out a novice staff, storing his sword and his monkey in the storage belt. "Kill or be killed." "Mercy is a weakness," Magnus said and the two bumped fists. "Good luck. The Hellion should be coming in an hour." "What are Hellion exactly?" Melissa asked. "What about your Demonic Ape King, was it?" "You''ll find out the Hellion soon. My Demonic Ape King is bound to me and my storage item is a prestige reward. It can stay there without consequence. Be wary of security cameras," Magnus answered and turned to the door. The siblings watched as Magnus rushed out of the hotel room, looking back at the red sky outside. The lunar eclipse was still occurring. It was as if time stopped and was waiting for the Hellion to arrive before continuing. ------------------Current Status---------------- Magnus Wang Level: 1 Class: Cultivator Title: Sword Sage Prestige: 7 Player Status: Beta Survivor Stats Power: 1 Magic: 1 Recovery: 1 Spirit: 1 Note: 7 stats are awarded due to prestige. 7 stat points available Weapon: Dranzex the Deicide Blade (prestige heavy long sword) Jorge Rivera Level: 1 Class: Elementalist Title: Spell Blade Prestige: 3 Player Status: Beta Survivor Stats Power: 1 Magic: 1 Recovery: 1 Spirit: 1 Note: 3 stats are awarded due to prestige. 3 stat points available. Then, he entered the staircase, running all the way to the top and busted into the floor. There were very few doors, signifying the rooms were very large. He ran into each room, bashing the door down with ease. Some rooms had people in it. He hesitated in the first encounter until he realized he was stronger and just knocked every person out with a blow to the head. He lost count how many wallets and clothes he stole before reaching the penthouse. A man stared at him, a novice staff in his hand. "You the one causing the ruckus downstairs? I heard screaming. Typical criminal," the man said and took out a gun. "Don''t move, or I''ll shoot." "Hmph. I suppose you''re my first," Magnus said, raising his hand at the man. "Holy Lance." "Huck," the man gasped and paled as he looked down, seeing a lance made of light in his chest. "The world we both know is gone, or will be," Magnus said, resisting the urge to throw up. It was as if a switch had opened up in his mind, a screw loosening. "The world is a game now. You have the honor of letting me get past this early. You can resent me. You''re soul is the first to be refined." "You..." the man said before the divine skill finished and four more lances pierced his body. As the man died, a scarlet flame arose from the body and entered his Infinity Storage Belt, the Soul Refining Cauldron absorbing the soul of the man. "It''s okay, Magnus. You just killed a player. Just a player, one of three hundred million regulars who thought they could threaten you. It''s okay. It''s okay. It''s okay," Magnus breathed deeply and moved on, looting the man for cash and anything else of value. He smiled behind his helmet visor as he descended the stairs and broke through the security leading beneath the first floor. After ten minutes of fighting his way through security, he arrived before the vault. He wanted more money. He wanted to be rich. This was his only opportunity. "It''s good to be rich. Just like looting a dragon''s hoard. No one will know it was me anyway. I can only hope Jorge was smart enough to go to the security room of the hotel," Magnus said as he took all the money from the vault. As he appeared back on the first floor, he discarded his clothes and helmet back into his storage belt. He took out his bags from his storage belt and took out another helmet. This was his spare helmet, used if he had someone to drive. He had it in his bag, so no one would have seen it before. "Yo!" Jorge said as he arrived with Melissa and Alex. "How did it go?" "....I got what we need. There''s been a change in plans," he answered, the three looking at him. "The guy at the penthouse, he was a Spirit Lord too. I always went through his stuff. It seems that he was someone important." "What? Who was he, the richest man in all of Vegas?" Jorge asked. "No. He was a member of the state government office in Florida. He got a call to go back. There''s going to be an announcement soon. Something about creating a Department for Spirit Lords. Every rich bastard is planning on investing in it to get personal protection," Magnus said as the others stood by a large white truck. "You hit the security office, right?" "You doubt my intuition. Obviously, we don''t all got helmets. I had Melissa and her brother secure the food while I took a detour. Took a few security guards, but I got it done. So, what''s the plan then? How does that information affect us?" Jorge asked. "We can''t leave Las Vegas," Magnus said as he took out his handheld. "Turns out, not all the information is reported by the system. Only the important information is reported. It explains their plan. Our handhelds are more important than ever." "That''s crazy!" Jorge said, staring at the information on the handheld before a system message arrived.
System Announcement
The Hellion Have Come The three hours are up. Each person on Earth will receive a message based on the current country they are in. In regards to the United States, only twenty cities will be Hellion free of assault after three weeks of captivity in the cities. After those five hundred and four hours, they are free for a year''s worth of Hellion assault. Any other city, expect to be slaughtered when the Hellion come. New York City, Chicago, Charleston, Las Vegas, Seattle, San Francisco, Washington D.C., New Orleans, Palm Springs, San Diego, St. Louis, Honolulu, Miami, Bransen, Boston, Orlando, Portland, Lahaina, Los Angeles, San Antonio, and Sacramento.
"Whoa! That''s like five cities in California!" Jorge gasped. "We''re trapped in here for three weeks! We can''t leave," Melissa paled. "What do we do? What do we do?" Alex whimpered, holding his sister in fear. "According to the handheld, we can communicate to others through it. It was how the guy at the penthouse did. The forums are closed, but we can use the handhelds to text people if we try to add them as a friend, assuming they are Spirit Lords," Magnus said. "You contacted your brother?" Jorge asked. "He''s not answering the handheld. Probably too scared to look at it. I can only hope he didn''t throw it away," Magnus shook his head. "We''ll move to a luxury suite in the Mandarin Oriental, the thirty seventh floor. Not the top floors, but close enough to enjoy luxury. It is also connected to the Crystal Mall. With their security, we are least likely to be troubled by other Spirit Lords if they don''t have a room. The Hellion attack from the sky and ground. The Hellion should be in the weaker levels, 10 at the highest." "The Mandarin Oriental? I suppose that''s a plan. The security should be tight there and anyone can reach level 9, so the higher security would deter everyone but the Spirit Lords," Jorge nodded.
Soul Refining Complete
Refined Spirit Lord Soul You have killed your first opponent, the first to kill another Spirit Lord in the state of Nevada. As it is the first soul refined, you only need one soul and it will spawn into three items due to the soul''s previous life. Expect nothing or junk in the future. The more powerful the soul, or level; the higher the chance for success. The growth item is restricted to you. Received: Ancient Ring (growth item currently locked) Received: Glock CB-79 (white tier) Received: Hunter''s Leather Boots (white tier)
"Whoa!" Jorge cried as the three items appeared. "Is that a Glock? Don''t recognize that model. Was it made by the system?" "Yeah, through the Soul Refining Cauldron," Magnus said as the Demonic Ape King appeared on his shoulder. A white jade ring appeared on his left index finger. He tried to appraise it through the system, but he could not identify it. It was a growth item, so he hoped it would be useful in the future. Still, white jade did look cool. "You have the gun," Magnus said, picking up the pistol and giving it to Alexander. "You''re giving an eleven year old a gun. Really?" Jorge asked, incredulous. "The times are different now. He can''t reach level 10 and get a class unless he becomes a Vassal. Melissa is the only one who can still choose a class and she wants to be a beast master. Thus, these boots are given to her. The boots have no armor but it silences her movements. It will be easy for her to sneak away. For a rogue class, that is a godsend ability. It is medium armor anyway," he answered, giving the items to the siblings. "The gun is also a white tier weapon. If he gets good, he can become a Vassal for his sister and choose the gunslinger or sniper class. After all, he has no worry of losing his freedom over his two divine abilities if he is a Vassal for his sister." "What about ammo?" Jorge said after a moment, Melissa wearing her new leather boots and enjoying the comfortable feel of it. "It''s like any other pistol: it reloads using divine energy. However, the pistol can hurt the Hellion, unlike regular guns and bullets. Keep it on safety Alex," Magnus said as he showed the boy where the safety lock was and had the boy stash it in his backpack as Magnus turned to the others after he emptied the backpack in Alex''s gym bag. "We need backpacks. We can''t let others assume we have other means to store items. That will make any suspecting Spirit Lord assume we have stuff he can steal. This isn''t like the game anymore. PK penalties don''t exist if the law does not catch you. You also drop everything and they can use all that isn''t bound to you. Only legendary, god, and growth items can be soul bound; prestige items already restricted as they are given," Magnus said as he got into the truck with them. "Not taking your motorcycle?" Jorge asked as Magnus removed the license plates from another truck. "In the event the other hotel falls, we have this motorcycle and the other vehicles to count on," Magnus answered as he took all the keys from Jorge. "After three weeks, we''re out of here. Best place to go is Washington D.C. as everyone will go there. It is the nation''s capital and bound to be protected. My parents are in Seoul. My mother is half Korean and half Irish. We spent Christmas there. I can''t contact them as the handheld does not have them registered. However, it is the capital. I can only pray they survive the next three weeks." "My parents too. They are in Miami," Alex sniffed. "We can do this! We''re like super heroes, right? We can fight back against those Hellion and live!" "They could hear screaming in the distance and Melissa yelled, "Get in the truck! We''re ramming our way to the hotel." "We''ll ditch the truck three blocks away. We need to gather experience," Magnus said. "What level are you?" Jorge asked. "Two. I leveled up after killing the guy in the penthouse. He pointed a gun at me," Magnus whispered and added two stats to spirit. Skills were the ultimate trump card after all. "How far is the hotel from here?" Melissa asked as she started the truck. "Let me check the GPS," Jorge said as Alex sat between them while Magnus sat outside of the truck. They all had backpacks after Magnus did some sorting with the stuff he stole. They had enough supplies in their backpacks to make it look like they had no storage items. "It says we''re 2.9 miles away. It will take about twenty three minutes, but we should ditch the truck a mile before we get there. A mile isn''t long and we do need the experience," Jorge answered. This content has been unlawfully taken from Royal Road; report any instances of this story if found elsewhere. "This truck has a fat ass. Everyone hold on!" Melissa yelled as they started their descent to the outside. "How you doing back there?" Jorge asked as Magnus held onto the truck through the open window behind the seats, laughing as Magnus flicked him off. "Okay, he''s good." Magnus discarded his Novice Staff, the staff disappearing into thin air. His sword was back on his back and he stared silently at the people fighting. Suddenly, a thought occurred to him. "I could get recorded and videos of my combat might be revealed on the internet, so I can''t transform. I''m a celestial, so the only difference between me and a human is the fact that I can alter my appearance to hide my true form," Magnus muttered as he adjusted Dranzex the Deicide Blade on his back. The celestial were a race were a race of humanoids that had the powers of the four divine beasts. It was, no doubt, inspired by the Chinese legend of the Yellow Emperor and the Four Symbols. The Four Symbols were the Azure Dragon of the East, the Vermilion Phoenix of the South, the Black Tortoise of the North, the White Tiger of the East, and the Yellow Dragon of the Center. The Yellow Emperor, Huangdi, was rumored to be able to transform into a gold dragon, and later ascended into the heavens. He is also believed to be the ancestor of the Chinese people. He, after so many times of reaching the next prestige, finally attained the celestial body of the yellow dragon. He had the black tortoise body ever since he broke to the fifth prestige. In other words, he finally attained the yellow dragon celestial body after two hundred levels of the black tortoise and seven hundred levels overall. Seven was the most magical number. Perhaps that was the Divine System''s pun intended for him. If he ever transformed, he would have gold scales on his body, his hands turning into dragon claws. He would also develop a tail and wings. Unlike the azure dragon celestial body, he would develop no horns on his head. It would be his ultimate trump card, pretending to be a high human until then. Based on his observations, most of the regular Spirit Lords chose to be high humans. Even the people he saw screaming with staffs, some looking experienced, all appeared human. However, a few did not look human at all. He saw two girls with wings while he saw a man with tan skin, snow white hair, a red gem on the center of his forehead, and pointed ears. Those were the racial traits of a dark elf. Those were definitely Beta Survivors as he saw them using skills while the rest of the people avoided them like the plague. "This world has gone to hell," Jorge muttered as they ditched the truck and started walking. "Angels flying in the sky and even a dark elf with twin rapiers. I think I even saw...well, Magnus will probably kill that guy out of jealousy." "Hmm?" Magnus said. This was not real life. Thus, anything was possible. He did see an archer wielding a longbow made of two bows crossing to form an X. It was probably a prestige item, but he saw similar weapons crafted by players with carpentry mastered. "I saw a man transform. He was a celestial with the azure dragon body. I saw him wield a staff and used a dragon breath skill, something only a prestige would award as there are no dragon breath skills," Jorge answered. "He got an azure dragon celestial body on his first prestige?" Magnus said, feeling weak in the knees. "That''s not fucking fair at all! I was a damn phoenix until the fifth prestige and a black tortoise after that! Oh, you two don''t tell anyone I am a celestial. Just say I am a high human. The celestial race is a beta only race. Melissa, you should not have gotten the option and chose to be a high human, right?" "I...actually chose the nephilim," Melissa answered, stunning the two elder boys. "Half angel and half human," Magnus explained as Alex opened his mouth. "Why? High human had the most all-around stats and gained the most money the fastest," Jorge asked. "I would have chosen the angel, but I did not want to have wings all the time. The race description said I can make them appear at will," she answered. "I don''t mind gaining the light affinity automatically when I become level 10 and choose my element affinities and class." "An nephilim beast master. I can certainly say you are the first I heard of, personally," Magnus shrugged. "Best to train without wings first. You can kill as a nephilim when you are proficient enough without wings. There are flying Hellion and they might enter close range combat with you. Your bow, since you chose the archery skill, will be less efficient then." "Is that a Hellion?" Alex asked as they turned their heads down the road. It looked like a hyena but had a black mist around it. "Yup. Hellion mostly look like animals. The stronger ones begin to look like combinations of many animals, fantasy creatures, or famous creatures of legend. That black mist is the Hellion miasma. You cannot let it bite you. Scratches or scars are fine though. Only through its bite, or a deep enough wound to be considered fatal, will infect you with its corrupted miasma," Magnus warned. "You are not a player, or Vassal. Thus, you can be corrupted and become a humanoid Hellion. Lots of NPC, non-player characters in games, became Hellion upon exposure to the miasma of the Hellion. Its weak, so the miasma should not do any damage. However, hyenas hunt in packs. Get ready." "I''ll have to remember not to use my skills," Jorge groaned as he noticed Magnus draw his sword from his back. He took a while to realize that using a skill so early might make people suspect he was a Beta Survivor if he ever got recorded on the internet. "So you can use your head. You''ll take point," Magus smirked as ten more hyena Hellion arrived. "Alex, be sure to hold the pistol with your dominant hand holding the grip while the other holds the bottom. Shoot only when you have a clear shot. Jorge uses a great sword and can''t reveal his magic until level 10 to avoid suspicion of his Beta Survivor status. There might be cameras around. Jorge will take point to take advantage of the weight and reach of the giant sword. Melissa, stick with Jorge and help him. I''ll kill those that try to flank his right while you kill those on his left." They all stared at Dranzex the Deicide Blade with wonder. It was a one and a half meter sword with a golden square, triangular guard. The peak of the triangular square guard pointed to a double-edged sword with faint glowing inscriptions, the color of snow, on both sides of the blade. The grip itself was made of cyan colored leather and the whole sword appeared to look similar to the Chinese Han Period''s jian, or Chinese straight sword. If one looked closely, snowflakes seemed to fall around the glowing inscriptions on the blade. Melissa, curious, tried out the Divine System''s item inspection and could not see it. Only after Magnus gave permission, could she see the details. She supposed it was because he was a Beta Survivor and could not inspect his items because of it.
Dranzex the Deicide Blade
Awarded to Magnus Chase upon reaching his Third Prestige Before he reached level 100 a third time, he had killed a Death God (level 93) in the game and replaced his spirit with Undine the Great Spirit of Water after defeating it. His favorite sword of the legend tier broke during the fighting. This sword was made with the materials of the broken sword, the Death God''s sword, and Undine''s sword. Due to the materials, it was made into a prestige growth tier sword as heavy as a great sword. It holds the very power of the arctic oceans and absorbs the life force of those struck to heal the wielder''s injuries. Like all prestige items, it cannot be bought sold, broken, dull, or lose its shine. Effects Sends chilling divine energy into the wound to slow and freeze the target. Heals the wielder by draining the life force of others. Able to block or destroy divine skills. Able to destroy god tier items and kill gods.
Melissa was incredibly shocked and then turned to her boyfriend. He wielded Spirit Titan, another prestige weapon. With his permission, she quickly inspected the great sword.
Spirit Titan
Awarded to Jorge Rivera upon reaching the Second Prestige Awarded to Jorge Rivera for being the first to kill a titan in the game before reaching level 100 for the second time. Its giant blade is a myriad of the colors of the rainbow. It has the effect of striking the target with a random magic damage of one of the nine elements: fire, water, wind, earth, lightning, wood, darkness, light, and arcane. Awarded in the form of a great sword due to Jorge Rivera''s Spell Blade title which allows the title owner to wear light, medium, and heavy armor. Effects Does double damage towards Hellion and spirits. Reduces the divine energy usage of all divine skills by half. Magic damage with a random element. Immune to all status ailments.
"Inspecting his great sword? It really is unfair, isn''t it? Status ailments, like those of my sword, are what gives people an edge to fight stronger or more numerous foes. His weapon''s fourth effect is a cheat effect," Magnus sighed while Jorge brandished his two-handed sword with pride. "I wonder when I''ll get a cool weapon like that," Melissa said as she entered a stance. She usually went with Jorge and Magnus to the mixed martial arts gym after school while they were in high school. She felt pretty confident and the two other boys were superior to her as well. "Killing Hellion with my girl......if only this was in the game. So many of our friends would be so jealous," Jorge laughed as they moved into position and saw the hyenas charge toward them. "Let''s do this shit and kill them all!" "I just hope I can get to level 5 before we reach the hotel. I can start cultivating my adamantine core and unlock my cultivator skills so I can use them. I never had Inferno Strike before. It was always one of the other elements I used. I did choose the fire element, but I hardly used it in before." "You stay close to Magnus!" Melissa said as she gulped upon seeing the hyena grow even closer, able to smell their bloodied and dirtied fur. "Good luck sis!" Alex said as he turned on the safety, hands trembling as he saw all the hyenas. It was definitely different than any Lion King movies he saw. How could people think they were funny? Chapter 4: The Hellion Behemoth Chapter 4: The Hellion Behemoth *AROOO* The hyena howled as they lunged at Jorge. Jorge laughed and swung his great sword, flames wrapped around it as he cleaved three hyenas in two. Melissa desperately struck at the hyena, but the hyena only shook its head and kept swiping its paws at her. Alex aimed his gun at the chest, a larger target, and fired. He yelped as his arms moved upward and did not see the bullet pierce into the hyena. It howled with rage and tarted to turn, not noticing the black staff swinging downward onto its skull. Melissa blanched as the staff smashed the hyena''s skull inward, making skin-crawling sounds as bones broke and blood sprayed. Jorge and Magnus played Fallen Divine Online and never played it in third person, their minds going into the game to be the their players. Jorge easily killed the hyenas leaping at him. Snowflakes flew into the air as Magnus cut the hyena with his sword. A black aura surrounded his body and sword as he fought. It was precisely the <> skill. He also kicked at the hyena, training his <> skill. In Fallen Divine Online, skills improved the more you used them, evolving to grant even better effects. With <> his blue eyes glowed as the adamantine core in his body began to release divine energy all over his body, augmenting it. Alex kept shooting and shooting, one bullet at a time. He found out that every time he ran out of bullets, he would get tired and the bullets would be reloaded. He likened it to a video game where the cost of creating a bullet was stamina. Melissa was gradually getting used to fighting and her face was no longer pale as she fought. Jorge just looked like he was having the time of his life, smacking the hyena like baseballs or cleaving them in to. "Here come''s the alpha," Magnus said, pointing ahead to a hyena the size of a tiger. Magnus looked into his character''s beast portfolio in the handheld and identified it. "It''s a level 6 Hellion dark hyena. "It''s weak to the light element. I got this." "Go!" Jorge said as he made a massive swing, opening the path. "Holy Lance!" Magnus roared, one lance of light pinning the hyena as it was pierced by four more. The hyena howled with pain and looked up to see Magnus striking down at it. It could do nothing as Magnus slashed and slashed with his sword, doing a drop kick whenever the hyena tried to stand. Holy Lance was not a primary damage skill. Its true purpose was to bind the Hellion, its holy divine energy weakening it as it purified the areas around the wound. "This is the end!" Magnus roared as he beheaded the hyena, hearing a clinking sound soon after. He returned his sword into its sheath and saw the surviving hyena go wild and scurry away in different directions. "That seemed easy," Alex said. "It was for me, but you only shot with a gun," Jorge said as Magnus walked over after picking up his loot. "Nice work. Prestige skills are the best. What level are you?" "Five. I killed enough of the level 1 hyenas before I killed the boss," Magnus answered, storing azure-colored coins in his storage belt. "It dropped a white tier circlet. Take it, Melissa. The system says it increases accuracy and friendliness with beasts. It is good for a beast master." "Thanks," Melissa said and donned a black circlet on her head. "What happened to the truck?" Magnus said as he pointed at the truck behind them, a hyena dead on the windshield. "I got carried away as it got past me and rushed to Alex," Jorge laughed and cried out as the truck exploded. "I guess it is the random element that appears during combat. This time, it was fire. We did well, but the hyenas were just level 1 Hellion. They were supposed to be easy. I''m level 4. What about you two?" "Level 3," Melissa answered. "Still level 1," Alex said. "It seems their required experience is higher," Magnus said as he saw several red flames go into his belt. Only those he personally killed had their souls collected. He also noticed that they didn''t see the red flames. "You''re a cultivator, so now you can work on your character progression since you are level 5," Jorge grinned. "Melissa and Alex, did you guys see the red triangle above their heads? That is an indication of their health. In the game, there are no health numbers. You die just as you would in real life. The only difference is that our bodies get stronger with the stats and we have armor and weapons," Magnus explained. "Getting to level 10 is easy. Past that, the level progression is much more difficult. If I was alone, I would be hunting as many Hellion as possible." "Why is that?" Melissa asked. "The longer the Hellion is alive, the more it kills. Its miasma becomes stronger and it eventually mutates into a stronger, faster hunter. However, our first priority is shelter," Magnus said and walked to a nearby restaurant. He checked for wi-fi and took out his laptop from his bag within the storage belt. "It''s about two hundred dollars per night. If we consider the fact that we are trapped, price will rise to probably five hundred. That''s about $10,500 for three weeks." "It''s a good thing you looted those hotel rooms," Jorge grinned, none of them knowing Magnus robbed the casino vault as he gave them each a few thousand dollars. He had Melissa hold Alex''s portion. "Damn. That dude in the penthouse was loaded. Probably pocketed the money," Jorge said. "We need to buy rich people''s clothes. If we carry so much money, we have to look the part," Magnus said and pointed to the tuxedo and dress shop. Luckily, we''re in Vegas. People are not wandering the streets as they are too scared. Cover your faces and let''s go. Also, raid some other stores for clothes and shoes. We need to remember to switch our shoes. Also, don''t forget to remove any tags and anti-theft device." "Right! Come on, Jorge said as he took Alex with him as Melissa rushed through several clothes stores. Magnus also changed clothes, storing others with the rest of the stolen clothes to practice his tailor skill. It would take a while before the police settled the chaos. He hid behind a clothes rack as he saw some people enter. Some of them had lavish armor or weapons. Those were definitely Beta Survivors. He quickly hid his spirit energy and they did not detect him before they left. "This material feels nice," Jorge said as he and the others returned with several bags full of clothes. Those were all quickly stored in Magnus''s belt. "Okay, let''s go to that hotel!" "Let''s hurry big sis! I want us to get the biggest room!" Alex said, pulling his older sister forward. "There were Beta Survivors in one of the stores I looted," Magnus whispered as the two followed behind them. "It explains why there are barely any Hellion in this area." "Right. We need to be careful of those guys," Jorge nodded. They quickly arrived at the hotel and paid for the three weeks worth of rent in advance. One man was angry as he stood in line behind them and Magnus got the last room. They were currently on the twenty third floor, where the Sky Lobby of the hotel was. "Floor forty three....A little higher than I would have liked," Magnus said as the fat man behind him yelled at him, ignoring him and the four bodyguards. "You two go on ahead. I need to take out the trash behind me." "Okay," Melissa said and took the excited Alex to the elevators, escorted by the ushers who would allow them access to the higher floors where the most luxurious suites were. "Who the fuck do you brats think you are?" the fat man roared. "Carrying swords in this day and age. Men, show them that guns are better than swords. "I''ll handle them. My sword hasn''t tasted enough blood. There is never enough blood," Magnus said as he drew his sword. "Hey fat ass. Let me tell you something: ordinary guns don''t work on players or Hellion." If you discover this narrative on Amazon, be aware that it has been stolen. Please report the violation. "What are you doing? Shoot him! I''ll take care of the mess!" the fat man roared. "Nothing personal kid," one of the bodyguards said as he raised his gun. "You gonna be okay?" Jorge asked. "Yeah. I got six more stats for reaching level 5 from level 2. I have 6 power, 5 magic, and 4 stats in recovery and spirit. I''ll be fine," Magnus said. "That''s four stats higher than I could get at your level due to your four additional prestige. Yeah, you''ll be fine," Jorge nodded and turned to the hotel employees. "You guys might want to get a first aid kit and a mop. Those guys are going to bleed soon." "Shoot him!" the fat man roared and the four men about to pull the trigger. Magnus moved faster than they could and sliced their guns in half.He tossed his sword in the air and rushed forward. He did a roundhouse kick on two of the men and finished off another with a low kick followed by a drop kick as the man leaned down to hold his shin in agony. The fourth man tried to grab him, but Magnus''s superior reflex allowed him to avoid the grab. Magnus pulled the arm over his shoulder and slammed the man on the ground in front of him, finishing him off with two stomps to the face. "See? This is the world we live in now," Magnus said as he leisurely walked to the fat man, his sword landing in his right hand. "For pissing me off, I''ll only take one hand." "AAAAH!" the man screamed as Magnus cut off the man''s left hand. The man walked with his right foot first. That menat he was left handed. Thus, it was more appropriate to cut off the left hand. He shut the man up by smashing the butt of his sword on the back of the neck. He brandished the sword and the blood came off. "There''s no blood?" Jorge asked, slightly amused and disappointed. "He was a non-player, similar to a NPC. He can''t resist the chilling and freezing effect of my sword. He should just be glad he won''t die from blood loss," Magnus said and bowed in apology to the hotel employees. "Apologies for the disturbance. My friend and I, including his girlfriend, are Spirit Lords. If any Hellion enter the hotel. Please let us know so we can kill them. Thank you." "Why''d you tell them that?" Jorge asked as they got into the elevator with an usher. "It''s simple really. It is obvious we are Spirit Lords and people will be less inclined to threaten us to steal our rooms. We can easily kill any who attempt to do so," Magnus said and looked back at the usher after the exited the elevator. "Make sure that we are not to be disturbed." "Of course, sir," the usher said as the elevator closed, Magnus smirking as he could hear the man sigh with relief due to his heightened senses. Their new hotel room had three rooms and Magnus immediately went into one room. He was anxious to begin cultivation. He went into the bath tub and took off his shirt. He closed his eyes and sat down and began to cultivate. Slowly, a day passed and Magnus succeeded in reaching the Nascent Body first stage. He could feel the Yuan Qi (basic or primary world energy essence) flow within him. Cultivation in the game consisted of five tiers. The first realm had nine layers and was known as the Nascent Body tier. Those at this tier could cultivate Yuan Qi. The next tier was the Spirit Tribulation tier, allowing cultivators to cultivate Zhen Qi (true world energy essence). They were considered True Immortals. The third tier was the Sword Spirit tier. Those who reached the third tier were known as Sword Immortals and cultivated Jian Qi (sword world energy essence). Throughout the seven hundred levels, Magnus had never reached the fourth tier known as the Spirit King tier. Those who reached this tier cultivated Tian Qi (heavenly world energy essence) and were known as Sky Immortals. He knew two people did and they only prestige once or start all over again. The higher the level, the easier to cultivate. No one ever reached the fifth and final tier. That was the God Tier. Those who reached that tier were known as Immortal Emperors and cultivated Wang Qi (monarch''s world energy essence). Magnus opened his eyes and checked his stats. His eyes widened as he leveled twice and got one additional stat. That additional stat was proof he reached the Nascent Body first stage. He distributed two stats into spirit and one stat to recovery and magic. The last three were put in power. Six stats for three levels and the one extra stat for breaking to the first stage. Magnus Wang Level 7 Class: Cultivator Title: Sword Sage Prestige: 7 Stats Power: 9 Magic: 6 Recovery: 5 Spirit: 6 "So far, so good," Magnus said and washed his body of black liquids which came out of his pores. Those were impurities that needed to be expelled to improve and shape the body to that of an immortal. The clothes were stained by the impurities and Magnus dumped them in the trash bin in the kitchen. "Whoa! You got more muscular and stream-lined," Jorge grinned. "It took so long to reach the first stage?" "Yeah. It seemed the <> and <> made my cultivation more powerful but increased the requirement as well. My divine energy has the berserk attribute and I release my black aura whenever I cultivate. What happened while I was busy?" Magnus said as Alex and Melissa stared at him in wonder. He also grew an inch. "A Hellion Behemoth was born. Apparently, there was a massacre in the eastern region of the city and they evolved and fused together. It is a tiger humanoid as tall as a twenty story building. I saw some Spirit Lords try to fight it, but it was level 8. Aside from you, there is no one above level 5. The Hellion Behemoth is not even a mini boss," Jorge answered. "Where is it resting?" he asked. "In the lake before the Bellagio Hotel," Melissa answered as she gave Magnus scrambled eggs and a stripped hash brown pancake, a glass of milk on the side. "Any Beta Survivors show? How is the city government reacting to all this?" he asked. "Order is restored and only a few Beta Survivors don''t care about the law. Those guys are being chased and they are being blamed for all the deaths. Even the guy you killed in Circus Circus is said to have been killed by them. What''s more interesting is that they robbed the vault of the casino and denied it." "That''s two problems dealt with," Magnus thought as he heard more. "The mayor wants to gather all the Spirit Lords and make a stronghold against the Hellion in the MGM Grand, Mandarin Oriental, and the Bellagio," Alex added. "Even the Bellagio? But didn''t you guys say the Hellion Behemoth is resting in the lake in front of it?" Magnus asked, confused as he finished his breakfast and glass of milk. "The Hellion is not attacking that area at all, allowing the people to strengthen the hotel''s defenses. All the other hotels struggle to hold off the Hellion. Many have already died," Jorge explained. "What should we do?" "We''ll hunt the Hellion nearby. Our main priority is to reach level 10 and unlock the green item tier. Melissa will also get her element attributes and class. We''ll hunt the Hellion Behemoth then," Magnus said as his Demonic Ape King arrived, apparently sleeping on his bed while he cultivated. "It will take a while for you guys to reach my level. I''ll also practice the Diamond Ocean Manual and learn more class skills." "Good plan. Let''s just hope the Hellion Behemoth does not get stronger anytime soon," Jorge agreed and they headed to the Mandarin Oriental down the road. Chapter 5: The Red Assassin Writer''s Note: Last of the random four chapter release (chapters 2-5). Hope you enjoyed the read. Chapter 5: The Red Assassin Magnus Wang opened his eyes late night three days later, hearing a noise from his handheld. He quickly leaned over to the bedside table but was disappointed that the sender of the message was not Marlin Wang. His eyes narrowed as he saw who the sender was. It was a person with the first name Shiro.
Hello Magnus. It''s been a while. I know who you are, Sword Sage. I''m coming for you.
Magnus narrowed his eyes and then realized something. It was the fat man. He must have guessed Magnus was a Beta Survivor and hired someone. He smirked and then sent a reply.
If you sent me a message, you can only be THAT Shiro. You''re that PKK assassin who killed the most PK players and got the Red Assassin title. So you''re still doing bounty work? Now, it''s a fat ass with cash? You do realize the value of currency will become nothing but paper before spirit coins, the azure-colored coins which represented the currency of the game?
I''m not here for that fat prick. He''s dead. He threatened me for taking a hotel room in the MGM Grand. I heard him mention your name and knew it was you. I''ll give you that growth item you always wanted. You do now I have a prestige item that allows me to keep ten items I own in there and exempt them from the prestige penalty? Of course, there are other effects. I reckon I am the richest Beta Survivor as I still have all my money. Of course, I only reached third prestige as I started the game late, but was the fastest to level. You want it, don''t you? Meet me in the rooftop of the Mandarin Oriental. I''ll be waiting. Oh, and bring the Spell Blade too. I know you travel together in the game so you must be friends in real life.
"He''s always up to something. Well, I have been training for three days," Magnus said and told Jorge before they went to the rooftop. "Shiro," Magnus said as he saw a man in scarlet leather armor smile at him, two wakizashis, Japanese swords, in his hands. "Hello Magnus. Jorge," Shiro inclined his head to the two boys. "I assume you are both level 10?" "He is," Jorge said. "Leveling got harder. The Hellion give less experience than before. I am level 9." Magnus and Jorge had an easier time killing the Hellion due to their prestige weapons. Magnus had 11 power, 6 magic, 7 recovery, and 8 spirit. Jorge had 7 power, 7 magic, 4 recovery, and 5 spirit. Shiro rolled his shoulders and told them he had 10 power, 5 magic, and 4 in both recovery and spirit. "Knowing you, you definitely decided to amp up your strength, physique, and agility only," Magnus said as he drew Dranzex. "Yeah, but you must have had four more customization points. I really envy you. You never get the chance to do the customization again since there is no more prestige and I never got a prestige weapon. I got growth armor, and these two swords are also growth tier weapons. Still, I received two prestige skills and that prestige storage item. There is no ninja class, but I come pretty close. If you beat me, I will give you the katana growth item you want back so badly. That, and a proposition. However, I need to know how good you are now," Shiro said as he brandished his swords. "Stay back Jorge. This is just between us. You''re only here to witness and hear the proposition later." "I hate, fucking hate, assassins. Beat him half-dead," Jorge said as he backed off and walked to the side. Shiro was the only self-proclaimed ninja with any legitimate claim. It was because of his two prestige skills: Doppelganger and Flame Shadow Strike. The first skill made a copy of Shiro with half of each of his four stats. It only took one hit to destroy them, but there was no way to tell the difference. The second skill would wrap Shiro in fire and he would slash his opponent with ten times his normal speed as he rushed past them. "I''m guessing you learned the swordsmanship skill? Me too. The skill allows you to use two swords with ease," Shiro said. "Well, the skill has to reach level 50 to evolve and develop additional effects. Just because leveling gets harder, does not mean the skill progression does." "I''m the veteran here," Magnus sighed. "Are you ready? I really want that sword back." "I keep hearing about a sword. Is it a growth weapon?" Jorge asked. "Allow me to explain as so Magnus can stretch. I already did so before I messaged him," Shiro said and turned to Jorge. "Magnus was killed after his first prestige by the top PK in the game: Victor. He got his revenge and got that Legendary Palace Dimension later, but Magnus did not find his growth weapon he dropped when he got PK''ed by Victor. He found out I had it as I killed Victor and collected the bounty on his head. PK players always drop an item with the exact likeness of their head when they die. Easier to confirm the bounty that way. Victor also hates me as the second item he dropped was his own growth tier spear." "So Magnus found out you had it? Then what?" Jorge asked. "He challenged me and lost. He had to give me a million spirit coins as a result," Shiro laughed. "It''s just a growth weapon. Why did he go so far?" Jorge asked. "From what I heard, he only ever was a blacksmith before his first prestige. In fact, he made the first growth tier item in the game. The sword he wants from me is that very sword he made himself. Growth weapons are masterpieces and the pride of every blacksmith player. Magnus wants his honor back," Shiro answered. "It''s an Asian thing for us. Honor and family is way up there among our priorities." "Is its effects good?" Jorge asked. "It''s not a prestige growth weapon, so it does not have much. However, it does have two useful effects. Pity the two wakizashi I made are superior. They also look worse than his katana so he beats me there," Shiro said and turned to Magnus. "If it is just sword skills, I admit I am inferior. However, I have never lost to you." "You always picked amped up your strength, agility, and reflexes. For a rogue class assassin, those are godsend. Power does increase physical damage and defense, but strength boosts your body and allows you to wield heavier armor and weapons. Physique is more all-around. Thus, more valued to those of the warrior and mage class," Magnus sighed. "Let''s finish this." "If I win, you owe me a gold spirit coin," Shiro grinned, Jorge nearly coughing blood. In Fallen Divine Online, the currency system had a coin system. Almost every shop accepted spirit coins, the azure-colored coins being the main currency. The game valued different coins differently. It was because it was too tedious to count more than a thousand spirit coins for transactions and some items were worth millions. They were abbreviated to spirit coins and recognized by the engravings on the sides of the coin. Regular Spirit Coin= Azure-colored coins without any engraving. The lowest valued coin. 1 Copper Spirit Coin= 100 spirit coins. Copper engraving of a two-headed snake. 1 Silver Spirit Coin= 10,000 spirit coins. Silver engraving of a leviathan. (100 copper). 1 Gold Spirit Coin= 1,000,000 spirit coins. Gold engraving of a hydra. (100 silver). 1 Mithril Spirit Coin= 100,000,000 spirit coins. Glowing white silver engraving of a dragon. (100 gold). "How about just 1,000,000 spirit coins. I can use the gold spirit metal to make enchanted items," Magnus said as they circled each other. "Why do you think I want the gold spirit coin?" Shiro laughed and ran forward. Shiro was fast. Unlike the thirteen customization points Magnus got, Shiro only got nine for only completing the third prestige. Thus, his points were evenly divided between reflex, strength, and agility. With such high strength, his two wakizashi felt lighter than daggers in his hands. Jorge had to focus his eyes as Magnus and Shiro exchanged sword strikes incredibly quick. Shiro had higher speed while Magnus had higher reflexes. The Demonic Ape King watched, a glass of milk in its hands, as its master fought Shiro. It was ordered to not interfere and could only watch in silence. Magnus slashed at Shiro''s shoulder but the strike was blocked by one sword as another was blocked as he used the butt of his sword to block it. Magnus push kicked Shiro, but Shiro anticipated it and became covered in flames. Magnus howled with pain as he blocked most of the slash but still had his left shoulder grazed. To Jorge, it was as if Shiro moved as fast as lightning as he got pushed back and appeared behind Magnus in a flash. "You have your reflex above three? Normally, I would have cut an arm off," Shiro said, slightly shocked. "Let''s just say that there is a lesson to learn with defeat," Magnus said as he released a black aura from his body. His blue eyes glowed as Magnus used both <> and <> to augment his body. His left first shined as he changed the Yuan Qi in his body into fire and used the basic cultivator class skill: Inferno Strike. Gold flames burst from his face like a tornado, the top of the flame tornado threatening to devour Shiro as it burst toward him. "Doppelganger!" Shiro cried and two clones of his likeness appeared before him, destroyed as it allowed Shiro enough time to get out of range. He cried out as Magnus appeared from the explosion, his sword raised high. Shiro was forced to cross his swords to block it and grunted as the swords collided. Magnus''s lower body was on a completely new level with the <> skill and Magnus twisted his body, kicking Shiro with a back kick to the exposed chest. As Shiro''s body became wrapped with flames, Magnus grinned and yelled, "Holy Lance!" As Shiro performed the Flame Shadow Strike, the weakness of the skill was that he could only run forward due to the extreme speed. The first light lance of the Holy Lance skill only moved straight as well, causing Shiro to pause in midair as his chest was impaled. The story has been illicitly taken; should you find it on Amazon, report the infringement. The first light lance only weakened the body, only causing injury to the senses but not drawing blood. It was how the man at the penthouse of Circus Circus survived the first lance. Shiro was moving too fast and the four lances that appeared above where he was impaled missed as Shiro sped past Magnus and crashed onto the ground. Shiro destroyed the lance of light in his chest with his swords and he desperately blocked slash after slash. He created two more clones, but Magnus easily destroyed them with his Inferno Strike. Magnus would dodge one sword while he deflected another. Soon, he got used to Shiro''s speed and smashed the butt of his sword into Shiro as he dodged another sword stroke. "My victory," Magnus said as he slashed down, cutting Shiro from the left collarbone to the waist. The slash was only deep enough to cause a scar, and Shiro felt his body grow cold as ice formed around the wound. He fell to his knees as the chilling energy was too much for his body to handle. "I lost?" Shiro gasped as he felt metal against his neck as he looked up. "I already killed Victor in the game. With this victory, I got my honor back," Magnus said as he put away his sword and helped Shiro up. Shiro''s wound healed after ten minutes and he sighed with regret. "I should have invested in physique. My real life body is on a higher weight class than a normal wood elf," Shiro groaned. He was taller than his character in the game and had more muscle as well. "I finally beat you. I can only regret it was in real life," Magnus nodded. Shiro took out a katana from a crimson ring on his left hand and handed it to Magnus. As Jorge stared at the sheath, he noticed a serpent-bodied dragon with jade scales. The katana had a shuriken shaped silver guard and had a red leather-wrapped hilt, a pommel with an image of stone lion dog''s head carved on the flat, black pommel. As Magnus pulled out the sword, Jorge saw red lightning crackle along the blade. "Ah, Red Emperor, I really missed you," Magnus said as he admired the sword. Jorge then appraised it.
Red Emperor A katana crafted by Magnus Chase, it is the first growth weapon ever made in the game. It is a sword for an emperor. Crafted with the scales of a steel dragon, it is a sword meant to kill and display one''s prowess. The red lightning is made from the body of a half-god of lightning. Effects Lightning magic damage with with 10% chance of a paralysis effect. Contains the soul of black goblin and manifest it as pet. Pet effect is restricted to Magnus.
"What the fuck? It has a Hellion sealed inside as a pet? You even made one of its effects restricted to you. No wonder most people would not value it so much if they knew," Jorge gasped. "You never told me you made such an awesome item!" "Now you know why I kept it. My title is the Red Assassin after all," Shiro nodded. "That sword was worth a mithril spirit coin at first but now is worth two gold spirit coins. Only a few people like pets and those people usually chose to be beast masters because of it. It only had sentimental value to Magnus that made it worth it, to him." "It was the only growth weapon I ever made. That black goblin is also a legendary rank boss that I killed and its soul dropped as material," Magnus said, the katana disappearing. "I''ll use the sword as a hidden weapon in the event we are disarmed when going to government buildings and such." "The <> skill. I have that too," Shiro grinned as his two wakizashi disappeared as they returned into their sheaths. "You know I went easy on you, right? I only used two skills." "I only used two also," Magnus said, wiping the grin off Shiro''s face. Shiro knew the devastating power of the Divine Blade skill and the unique attack of the Shatter Steel Swarm skill. "So, what''s this proposition you have for us?" "You know about the Hellion Behemoth at the lake before the Bellagio, right?" Shiro asked, the two nodding. "Well, I am a assassin so I naturally got Stealth and leveled the skill as I used it frequently. The Hellion Behemoth is now level 10. I couldn''t figure out how it could level while sleeping. Then I saw that it had quite a few treasures at the bottom of the lake. I want only one thing, the rest of its treasure and the final kill for the drop is yours." "What is so valuable that you would let us profit so much?" Magnus asked. "It is a growth item accessory, a gold bracelet on its left arm with a ruby, sapphire, and emerald arranged in a pyramid formation. I appraised it myself," Shiro answered. "Growth item accessory!" Magnus and Jorge cried. Those were the rarest in the game and the most difficult to craft. Most people became over-powered when they got prestige growth accessories. Armor and weapons had lesser valued effects compared to growth accessories. Most of all, growth accessories were indestructible. "No wonder you want only that. You already have your spirit coins, what''s left of them, from the beta phase. I almost don''t want to help you," Magnus sighed. "But we need your help to slay the Hellion Behemoth if it really did reach level 10. Melissa is only level 6 and Alex is only level 3. They''d be slaughtered on contact. It''s also no wonder why you cared little for my sword. I feel insulted." "Think of the items we''ll find and the spirit coins. There are bound to be copper or even silver spirit coins," Jorge consoled. "It''s a deal then. At dawn, we strike," Shiro said and paused at the door leading to the stairs. "Oh, and be prepared to kill any Beta Survivors or Spirit Lords who will aim for the final kill for the boss reward." "I already killed my first Spirit Lord," Magnus replied, Shiro nodding with approval before he left. "It''s a good thing for me too. That Hellion is sure to have a magical core. I can use it to increase my cultivation." "So, we''re really doing this?" Jorge asked. "No. It will be just me, my Demonic Ape King, and Shiro. I will also summon the black goblin from the sword. You will help Alex and Melissa fight off any stragglers who aim to steal my kill. They need to realize that people are willing to kill them. They need to kill once and get used to it. It may sound cold-blooded, but this is the only way to survive now. Mercy is a weakness. So is compassion," Magnus said. "Can you handle it?" "Yeah. Leave it to me. My strength is only 7. I''d die before that thing," Jorge nodded and the two returned to their rooms to sleep, the Demonic Ape King sleeping beside Magnus in the master bedroom. In the morning before dawn, they all woke up, bathed, and ate their breakfast. Melissa and Jorge stared at Magnus while Alex was finishing his cereal. Red Emperor was levitating before Magnus, Magnus chanting a few swords. The sword shined a black light and red lightning crackled. The black light separated from the sword and a five foot tall goblin with pure red eyes and black skin. It wore red leather armor with metal armor over its lower arms, legs, and chest. "Master," the black goblin bowed. "I have kept the items you gave me secure since the sword left your possession." "Ah! I forgot. It''s been so long. So I gave them to you. Heh. Not a total loss after all," Magnus grinned and received a storage bag from the goblin. He got some spirit coins from the bag and put them in his belt. The storage belt quickly disappeared due to his <> skill which allowed him to hide items on his person. "What are those?" Jorge asked as Magnus grinned as he took some items from the bag. "This, my friend, is a spirit crystal card. Within, it had my savings from my entire first one hundred levels. It cost a mithril spirit coin to make it. This whistle is one I gave the goblin. It allows him to summon a warthog to ride in battle. The goblin''s name is Gorzog. It shrunk when it died but it levels as I do. It also counts as my weapon so I get experience when it kills. Gorzog uses a grenade launcher and an axe. It also knows some fire magic. The best part is that it knows how to pick locks and senses hidden treasures. If Gorzog were not a legendary tier boss (level 90-99) and were a player, it would be similar to a player of the engineer class. Gorzog makes many...interesting inventions for me." "Gorzog likes exploding things. Gorzog also likes hacking things, but blowing things up is more exciting," Gorzog grinned, the siblings staring at him with fear and awe to have such a creature fight beside them that loved killing a bit too much. "Sweet," Jorge nodded as Magnus put the crystal card away in his storage belt before it disappeared again, returning the bag to Gorzog. "Master, do we kill something now?" Gorzog asked, eager to taste blood. Gorzog also had a sniper rifle, but not a magic rifle. It could not shoot cannon blasts made of magic. "It''s so cute, in an evil goblin sort of way," Melissa said as Gorzog put its shell whistle in its storage bag. "We will be hunting a Hellion Behemoth, tiger type," Magnus said, the goblin''s eyes racing. "Gorzog can go all out with his grenade launcher?" the goblin asked, referring himself in third person. "No, just me, my Demonic Ape King, and Shiro will fight. He is the one who used to own the sword. You will be fighting with your sniper rifle in the beginning of the battle, shooting anyone who attempts to interfere," Magnus said, the goblin nodding. "There are some treasures in the lake it sleeps in. If it moves a certain distance away, go there and put them in your storage bag. Kill any human besides the three here and Shiro who get in your way. Once you get the treasures, then you fight alongside me with the grenade launcher." "Gorzog understands," the goblin giggled with glee, anticipating the bloodshed it would finally create. Not only could it kill a Hellion Behemoth, it could kills the humans too. Only its master deserved its respect. On its master''s words, it would kill any human with an axe and a smile. Status Update I am sorry to say the story is over. It is due to many complaints at gifting the MC too many items too fast as well as over-complexity of the story. I will make a similar one but he will only have one advantage from the start which will grow. I apologize for making it so complex so as to receive many private messages about it. The Snake Immortal is my main and that will never die, unless I die or the next chapter gets delayed due to real life issues.
