As i look around all i see are yellow stone walls that stretch up into the sky for 150-200 ft. They are known for a speed that can even outrun cheetahs, but with my pitfalls and spikes i should be able to kill them. After floating for a while and searching for the rabbits i see it. A blood red rabbit 2 sizes larger than its normal counterparts. [EARTH RAISE] i think in my mind, for a second my entire body releases a bright earthen glow and an earth spike pierces from the ground stabbing it through the throat. Huh, my boost in mana and endurance were exceptional at 200 and 100 respectively. while my other stat growths were merely average. sigh¡­.my race really is to weak i mean an average 10 yr old human child has a strength of 50, while my strength sits pathetically at 20 even with the 5 extra stat points that my title gives me. But this one level that i gained is not enough, i mean i need to be at least level 50 to get out of here without any outside help. After a while of drifting around looking for more rabbits, i come across another one a lot smaller than the first. But instead of killing this one i decide to follow it home. after an hour or two of nosing around it finally leads me to its home, a small mound of dirt with a hole in it. the rabbit hops down the hole like it doesn¡¯t have a care in the world, little did it know I was here . shooting over to the hole, i hovered over it and used lower terrakinesis. ( Authors note: little bit of foreshadowing here, look forward to the bunny king.) -Title upgrade: {slayer of innocence} is now {slaughterer of innocence}- +25 intelligence [.....Hera you must really hate me.] Done leveling for the day i go back deeper into spirit¡¯s abode to secure my lodgings for the night. Though i¡¯m a spirit and technically don¡¯t need any shelter as i am invulnerable to physical attacks, i would prefer to be sleeping under something also my incorporeal body wouldn¡¯t help me much if lightning struck. When i get back to where i started i use lower terrakinesis and earth raise to carve out a fairly deep cave and seal it behind me. [ Tomorrow i will see how much this cavern has changed in the three thousand years that have passed since i have last been here.] and with that on my mind I fall asleep Chapter 4: Tenebris Ultors Chapter 4: The Tenebris Ultors I wake to complete darkness. [ ugghhhh¡­. that''s right i sealed the cave behind me last night.] I say realizing where i am. i use earth raise to unblock the cave in front of me and float outside.Now as i decided yesterday, I must see the changes time has brought upon this place. I rapidly float towards the edge of spirits abode and the first thing i see is ¡­¡­..red. I stand in front of a mass of red fur and flesh 15 ft tall. It¡¯s a rabbit a 15 ft tall dual- horned blood rabbit. [ No...it can¡¯t be, Hera was serious about the rabbit king?!] [ also it looks a lot more dangerous than i thought.] As i¡¯m talking to myself the blood rabbit whirls around and it stares at me, its eyes burning like two dark red coals. Al of a sudden it leaps at me its two hind legs pushing off the ground powerfully. i fly away at max speed, with the rabbit bounding away behind me. I¡¯m just not fast enough to outrun him! i growl to myself. thinking quickly i use earth raise and lower terrakinesis to start forming pits and traps to try to slow it down. Suddenly we come upon a cave. A five meter opening lit with torches and guarded by two men in black leather armor. Not having the time to wonder what men in armor were doing guarding a cave i led the rabbit king towards them. As i came towards them the men ignored me, drew their blades and ran to confront the rabbit king. Unfortunately for them the rabbit king was no push-over, before you could blink the rabbit king had one of them in his mouth and was biting down. with a tearing sound the rabbit bit all the way through him and swallowed the upper half allowing the lower half to fall to the ground. For a second the other man stared in horror at his partner before raising the alarm. { help! there¡¯s a strong mana beast here!} he called for backup. After a couple of seconds a dozen people came out of the cave but only one of them was female, holding a great sword, presumably the leader. By the way she carried herself she knew her way around combat. But no amount of knowledge could save her this time, in seconds it was slaughter with body parts and limbs flying everywhere. After a few minutes had passed all the meat shields were dead, and only the female and the rabbit king remained. They were both breathing heavy, but the female was the disadvantaged one, with blood running down her arm from a large gash on her shoulder. After a few seconds she raised her head, and for the first time she spoke.{ I as the captain of the 11th squad of *Tenebris Ultors, luise vangeforth, SHALL NOT FALL!!} with a determined gaze she charged forth and released a crimson slash,with the power to shake the ground. The crimson slash reached the rabbit king and smashed him back tens of meters, releasing a huge amount of dust. [ wow.] i yelled startled, it''s amazing that a human is capable of reaching that level of power, I have to give her some props. But it wasn¡¯t enough, with a rattling of rocks the rabbit king stood up again, albeit with a large gash going from shoulder to waist. With a slightly apprehensive gabze the rabbit king stared at her before turning around and bounding away. This cave is actually a lot less rough than it looks from the outside, the walls are made of smooth glossy sandstone and the torches are in metal brackets. When i first enter the caves there is a series of rooms on either side of the cave with one large one in the back. the first few rooms are bedrooms while a couple are store rooms for food and weapons, nothing of use to me being that as an energy being i can¡¯t eat or pick up weapons. But in the back near the large room there is another slightly smaller room with a guard on the door. A youth 17 or 18 yrs old, his eyes go wide when he sees me, without hesitation i attack him. [ Earth Raise] A small block of dit comes up under his foot tripping him, and on the way down i raise an earth spike impaling him through the forehead. Using lower terrakinesis I dug a pit and buried the body and mixed the spattered blood and brain matter into the dirt. [ Now lets see whats behind door number one.] i mumble to myself, then i shred the door using an earth spike and look inside. On the inside of the room sits a teenage girl with blonde hair and green eyes which would be quite cute if she wasn¡¯t covered in dirt and a little dried blood. [ Girl, you are free to go, I took care of your captors.] I say to her. { W-who are you?} she asks meekly [ Not your babysitter, now you had better get out of here before the woman next door finds that your guard is dead.] I say as i turn around and begin to float out of the cave not caring the slightest what she does. I am almost back into the spirit¡¯s abode before i realize that someone is following me trying to be stealthy. [ So what, i asked what you were doing, not your name.] { w-well you saved me and i have nowhere else to go.} [ so you followed me, i¡¯ll tell you this i have no need to be followed by a pitiful brat who can¡¯t even save herself, now leave.] i tell her vicously. I turn around and start heading into spirit¡¯s abode, if she wants to follow me into a poison fog that can kill any human that¡¯s fine by me. After a few minutes she begins to stumble and fall to her knees. As I stop and turn around to look she pleads for help with a pale face tinged with green. { H-Help, me i can¡¯t stand it any longer!} [ If you can¡¯t stand a mere poison, what makes you think you have the qualifications to follow me?] I say even though i wouldn¡¯t be able to stand the poison either if it weren¡¯t for my incorporeal body. i mean come on, it¡¯s impossible to poison a being of pure energy. { But¡­..} [But nothing, the day you can with stand this poison is the day you can follow me.] I say even though i know she is going to die here. and without another thought i turn and leave as her moans fade into the distance. Though i can¡¯t use my strength being that i don¡¯t have a physical body. my floating speed has gotten a lot faster with the added agility from the levels. even though my regular speed can¡¯t match the rabbit¡¯s, by expending some mana i should be able to at least double my speed if not triple it! [That rabbits going to get it now with its pitiful strength it believed that it could kill me. it¡¯s time to show it how wrong it was.] Though i say this, i can¡¯t fight that rabbit head on i¡¯m going to have to trap it some how. decided i head back out to the edge of the abode. at the edge of the abode i use terrakinesis to dig some pitfalls and trenches, then i use earth raise to raise spikes on the bottom. Finally in front of all these, i raise a hill with a sharp drop off facing towards the traps. Then i go up to the cliffs on either side and raise an earthen portcullis of a sort, at the top and weaken the molecular structure of the rocks behind it until several boulders are resting against the portcullis. All thats left of it is some rubble and a few stray bodies that have yet to be eaten. [ Where is that rabbit? when i got the warning i was here, so logically it should be close.] But no matter how much i tell myself this there is still no sign of the rabbit king. [ How hard could it be to find a 15ft blood red rabbit, in the middle of a giant hole?!] i yell cursing the rabbit in my mind. {ba-thump ba- thump ba-thump} [ What the hell¡­..] I turn around to see what was making the noise and there it is a 15 ft blood red rabbit, bounding towards me like a frieght train. [ god damned rabbit always choosing the least opportune time to find me!] turning around i fly away at maximum speed, the rabbit in pursuit. the rabbit is a lot faster than me but because it bounds i have a lot more agility because it can¡¯t move while in midair. Feeling a sense of danger i immediately fly to the side and right where i was standing the rabbit pounds down forming a ten foot crater. [ geeze..] i sigh and wipe off the imaginary sweat, this things a lot more trouble than i thought it would be, even after seeing it tear into those tenebris ultors guys. As i lead the rabbit back to the traps i notice one thing, as i pass spirits abode i notice earth spirits watching us almost curious, but that¡¯s not it, earth spirits are supposed to have no conscious basically, just floating balls of earth elemental essence. Thats odd but ill worry about it later. I lead the rabbit to hte hill and as it crests the hill i weaken the ground under it causing it to fall into the pit. As it falls into the pit most of the spikes shatter as the come into contact with its fur but one spears it through its side just under the armpit,but it just lets out an enraged howl and jumps out of the hole. As i watch my exterior begins to be covered by thick stone light brown in color. the stone looks rugged and sturdy and on my hands my knuckles are topped with jagged 2-inch spikes of stone that seem to be the sturdiest parts of my body. That being said i really want to test the limits of this newly evolved body, though i will miss flying...such a convenient way of getting around. with my two new legs i head out off spirit¡¯s abode before i get poisoned, it sucks not having an incorporeal body any more, i can¡¯t even live at home any more! [ Well, i might as well try to find a new home while i test out the new body.] As i pass the outskirts of the spirit''s abode i notice something, Clara¡­..her body isn¡¯t there any more. [ eh¡­ must have been dragged off by some wild animals.] i say knowing that it can¡¯t be true no animal can live in the spirit¡¯s abode because of the gaseous poison. Well whatever it is i hope i don¡¯t have to meet it. I pass through the edge of the spirit¡¯s abode and the Tenebris Ultors cave to uncharted territory, i look around and spy a rock. [ hmm this should be a good test of my strength.] The rock is a good 3 ft tall, 2 ft wide and completely solid. seeing this i decide that this would be a good test of my strength. walking up to the rock i use all the strength i can muster and slam my fist into it. {BOOOOOOM!} I¡¯m blasted back twenty feet my back slammed into the ground and i lay there looking into the dust cloud dumbfounded. I not only pulverized the rock completely i also blasted myself back a good twenty feet and left a crater where the rock once was! [ Damn! i''m going to have to plant my feet before i use all my strength to do anything!] But then there is a woman there patting me worriedly. how did a woman get here i think. but then i see her face.
