《How to God 101》 Prologue: How does one get a planet? I stared at the giant clock as its arms ticked away, ever so slowly. The passing second hand, moved ever slower, the minute hand seeming like a never moving line. I moved my eyes away from the minute hand and stared at the hour hand, which stood still for what seemed like hours. My eyes ached, my head throbbed. Slowly I caressed my forehead attempting to alleviate the pain. Turning my head away from the clock I stared around at the small, dim, white room I sat in, which aside from the chairs for the people in the room to sit and the two doors, one to the entrance and other to the office we''d have our interview in, was void of all but a small fish tank. Accompanied by a few dozen people, we all waited our turn. Everyone wore an assortment of clothes, signifying where I they came from, but I couldn''t care about, I just wanted time to hurry up. ''Hurry Up for the love of the Universe'' was the only thought that crossed my mind. Accompanied with boredom and anger, it was a very unpleasant sensation. But this unpleasant mood of mine, was disturbed by something even more unpleasant. ''Bob'', the annoying asshat who had not shut up since I had sat down in this dull room and waited for my turn. Everyone in the waiting room looked at him and his hyper-active and positive manner in annoyance. His annoyingly handsome face, his tall stature, his beautiful blonde man, those stunning green eyes, that perfect body, all packaged together with his annoying positivity. We''ve been here too long for this guy to make us feel any better. And the worst part about it all was, that Bob had been here the longest and was waiting his turn. I was right after Bob, but for crying out loud, how do you stay positive for so long? And why on Satan''s Ass is it taking so long? How long does it take to designate a sector to somebody? Seriously?! I bet if I had this job I''d have already cleared out the waiting room. As I wondering how much longer it was going to take, I ignored Bob and checked how many people were in line now and I was saddened by the site. In this tiny room sat 30 grown adults, all waiting their turn, with a gloomy attitude, aside from Bob of course who stood out like a very thick rainbow in a thunderstorm. Bob: ¡°So you see that''s what happened!¡± he cried out in laughter very loudly as he slapped his knee, jerking me back to attention ¡°Incredible story, no?¡± he asked the room as he wiped his tears away. Every simply sighed and continued to ignore Bob, no one had the energy to listen to him, but Bob would have none of that. Bob: ¡°Oh come on guys, why you all gotta have a ''loooong'' face¡± he cried out as he mimed his actions ¡°Get it guys? ''looong''?¡± he would once again mime his actions and then laugh as everyone tried their best to ignore him ¡°Oh come on guys, I was making a ''hoarse'' joke¡± and he once again burst into laughter. I began to get annoyed, as I was sitting right next to him. His annoying laughter coupled with his terrible jokes were starting to get under my skin. If you want to make me laugh, at least use a decent joke you know. Bob: ¡°Fine, fine, I guess you guys ''hoof'' had enough of my jokes, right?¡± and he once again started laughing. I wanted him to stop, but before I could say anything, another pun came out of his lips. ¡°You guys should laugh a little, I know you all ''herd'' me¡±and at this point I had enough but Bob put his finger to my lips ¡°Just take the fun in Markas, just take it in. You know you want to laugh¡± and as I snapped in anger, the door opened and Bob entered as his turn had started. I started fuming in my mind. Not only did he crack a good half dozen terrible horse jokes he also left me in such an angry state. I swear I''ll get back at you for this Bob. I swear it on Cosmos. Nonetheless, I sat still and stared at the white wall for what seemed like years, an occasional thought crossing my mind. How old was I now? I wonder. Well compared to other people out there, I shouldn''t be quite old. I mean Bob was quite old, and I''m not even sure how he kept his positivity in this job line. No one managed to. Or maybe he was even more stressed than us all and his positivity was a way to vent the stress. Oh well, who knows. I turned to stair at the clock and the minute hand had not even passed 2 minutes, I groaned in silence. How much time do you need Bob?! Hurry up for Cosmos sake. I decided to stare at the clock, focusing on the second hands movements, those oh so very slow movements. I stared at it for so long my eyes began to hurt. A good four minutes had passed. Incredible was way to describe the patience I had for staring that long, nonetheless, I was slowly losing my sanity. The silence coupled with my boredom was death worthy. Bob, I miss you and your terrible puns, please come back. But he couldn''t come back. He was in that room, taking forever and making us all wait. Love this novel? Read it on Royal Road to ensure the author gets credit. Sighing I turned toward the fish tank and studied the exotic fish. It wasn''t really exotic, but a goldfish wasn''t exactly common around these parts. Nonetheless I stared at the goldfish, and I stared even further. I stared at it for so very long. And the door opened. It was finally my time. I could finally get out of this maddening tiny prison! So I quickly got up and entered it, coming into a small orderly office. There he stood. Master Mrg''luthu, the lord of madness and darkness, whose current job was fitting for him. He stood their with his magnificent visage, his terrifying frog-human facial features mixed with an octopus was awe inspiring. I knelt in front of him and waited for him to call me to my seat. And I knelt there for what seemed like another eternity, but finally his voice ringed through the air. His deep, dark and powerful voice. Mrg''luthu: ¡°Rise young one, come and take your seat. We shall begin now¡± and with that I quickly got up and planted myself into one of the hard metal chairs in front of his desk. He looked at me for a moment with his pitch black eyes before he took out a piece of paper and stared at it ¡°File for; Name: Markas, Gender: Male Race: Newling Home: None, Family: None, Lineage: None, Pantheon: None, Age: 92, Powers: [Lesser Control], No. of times Power has been used: [1], And the power was used on a young ''Human'' male from the ''Sol'' System¡± and with that he put the paper down and stared at me ¡°Is all this information correct?¡± I nodded nervously as I stared at him. He sighed and then put the paper down and picked up another one. Mrg''luthu: ¡°Hmmm, let us see now, you''ve been in line for 12 years now and you have applied for a ''God License'' and a ''God Apprenticeship'', but¡± he paused and looked at me with pity in his deep, dark beady eyes ¡°there are no planets that can be given to one as young as you, and neither is there any god available to train you either, so you can come back in a few thousand years, alright?¡± and with that he acted as if the interview was over. Markas: ¡°Wait, what? That¡¯s it? Nothing? I waited for so long! Please¡± I begged in a what I admit is a somewhat pathetic manner, but I did not wait this long to be rejected for such a petty reason. Mrg''luthu: ¡°Alright, calm down young one¡± he sighed as if he had expected this and pulled out another piece of paper before glancing at me ¡°I''ve told this to every other young one to come here and all of them have declined as it is very hard to do this¡± and as he got my hopes up, he dashed them just as fast. Expertly done good sir is the only thought that crossed my mind. Mrg''luthu: ¡°I can give you a dead planet in some far off system and a ''guide on how to become a god'', but that is all, you''ll have to figure everything else on your own¡± I immediately thought ''that was bullshit. There are dozens of gods that could train me, but they all want some experienced god to train, not some brat like me.'' He then continued to talk ¡°But just so yo know, if you choose this option and you forfeit at any point, you''ll be forbidden from ever applying for a license again¡± he then put the paper away and acted as if I had already agreed to not do it. Markas: ¡°I accept¡± I told him plainly to which he nodded. Mrg''luthu: ¡°I understand that it was had for you to wait so long for rejection bu-.... wait, did you just say you accept?¡± he looked at me with what I assume was a surprised look on his face ¡°You do understand that no one will guide you and you will have to give life to a dead planet?! That will take Cosmos knows how long!¡± he exclaimed in shock ¡°Are you sure about this? There is no going back¡± he told me plainly in a hard voice as he recollected himself. I nodded, I will not wait thousands of years when I can just spend that long creating my own planet. Staring at me for a few moments he sighed and brought out several papers. Mrg''luthu: ¡°Sign here, and here, and here¡± he then flipped the page once I had signed where he pointed ¡°And here, here and here¡± he then proceeded to flip the page once I was done again ¡°Here and finally here¡± he then took the papers and looked them over and nodded. He brought his hand into the air and 2 pieces of paper materialised in mid air which he grabbed and stared at before sliding them over towards me. I stared at the first one, which made me smile in joy when I looked at it. [God License: Markas Planet Count: 1 Planet: (DESIGNATE NAME) System Count: 1 System: (DESIGNATE NAME)] In joy I then looked at the second piece of paper which I just now realised was a brochure, nonetheless I stared at it and read the name. [HOW TO GOD 101]. Chapter 1: The magnitude of my task I held onto the wooden veranda''s railing as my body leaned against it. My eyes stared down at the small, red dust ball, which turned and moved ever so slowly. Staring down at it, the only thing I could think of was how... ''Pathetic'' this little red ball was, and the worst part was that I ''owned'' this dust ball. This is what Mrg''thulu had designated to me. And now, I slightly regret my decision, but only slightly. Nonetheless, I turned around and sighed and leant on the railing with my back as I thought about the long road ahead of me. It will take oh so very long to make this planet fit to any of my visions. I''m nowhere near powerful or wise, thus I''ll have to spend a very long time gathering the energy I need to make the changes I need. Thinking about it, this will take far longer than a mere few thousand years, unless I''m some sort of genius... but I am clearly not. So that aside, I pushed myself off of the railing and walked across the patio and opened the wooden oak door, and entered my small home. It wasn''t anything grand, but it was mine and that''s all that mattered. It took me 50 years of Karma to buy the rights to my own small dimension, but it was worth it, as thanks to it, I have a base of operations from which I can cultivate my new world. It was small but spacious, having two bedrooms; both which were decently sized, a single bathroom; with a large bathtub, a spacious living room; which I furnished quite cheaply. It was all oak furniture, and while it may not be very comfortable, it looked stylish and was bearable. Aside from all of this, I had an attic, which I would store all of my artefacts and rare possessions. I made my way across the living room until I reached my couch which I planted myself on, extending my legs so that they rested upon a small foot stand. Now that I was leaning against the couch, I decided to think deeply about how I would get to creating an habitable planet. The guide I had received, ''How to God 101'', was absolutely useless. It had no use whatsoever. The entire brochure consisted of ''Imagination'' and ''willpower'' to make my desires come true. For some far more powerful god, they could possibly imagine that the planet become ''habitable'' perfectly, but for me... that would not work at all. I''d have to do every step one by one, starting from moving the planet into the yellow suns habitable zone, to then determining what type of planet I would like and then finally I''d have to change the planets make up to fit my desire. I''m no expert in these types of things, far from it really. In fact my knowledge regarding planetary make-ups is very limited. I warped some paper and a pen I kept in the drawer in my bedroom, to my lap and then I decided to transfer my knowledge onto paper hopefully giving me further insight. With the paper in front of me, I first drew the sun, and it''s predicted habitable zone based on its size, density and other factors. Staring at the range I was left with, I sighed sadly. The planet was a good 4 secti (400million kilometres, as 1 secti = 100mil) away from the sun, while the suns habitable zone was 2.5 secti away from itself. This left me with a lot of problems, such as moving the planet so far and then stabilising it with the sun. Enjoying this book? Seek out the original to ensure the author gets credit. That was just problem 1 of my problems so far. Another thing I had to do was figure out how to make the 3 moons the red ball has not screw the planet up once it was finished being built to my desires. That was a problem I could think about and fix after I managed to move the planet from its current point, which was Point A, to the point I need which was Point B. And even after I think about how to fix those two problems, I was left with the further problem of fixing the planets interior to allow it to let life spawn on it even without my influence. And as much as it would make my job easier in the short run to just attempt to fix everything with ''Imagination'' and ''Willpower'', in the long run, it would simply be detrimental to me. My minuscule knowledge regarding astrology gave me a hard time with the sun and the moons, but the hardest part would be my almost zero knowledge regarding geophysics. Most gods could give two shits regarding such a thing, but for someone like me whose power wasn''t so high, I needed to educate myself. From the little I have learnt from the lesser races, a planet usually consists of its ''Core'', which is split between Inner and Outer, its ''Mantle'', which again is split into multiple parts such as the lowest, lower, upper and highest part of the mantle. As if those were not enough, I then have to deal with the ''Crust'', which is followed by something called the ''Lithosphere''. From the book on ''Terrestrial Planets'' this was some basic information, but I don''t really understand much. Dear Cosmos, the more I think about it, the more I begin to regret my choice, but there is no going back. The only path left for me is forward. The depressing reality aside, I should go and get an aide so I can force the study of astrology and geophysics upon them, but where could I find an aide? I mean I could go to any one of the ''Angel Academies'', but the chance of me finding someone willing to be ''my'' aide, is almost nil. Because realistically, who would want to be the aide of a god who is only 92 years old, has had a total of 0 apprenticeships and owns a dead world. I mean, if it was me, I''d honestly reject any god that fit such a criteria. But maybe there is some failure of an angel who I can ''persuade'' to my side... but what are the chances of that? No lesser race would waste the chance to become an angel, and none of them would waste their futures as the angel of a no-name god with an impossible task. Dear Cosmos, I''ve been self loathing myself for the past half hour... I''m pathetic.... but I think anyone would be depressed once they realised the magnitude of the task before them. Sighing I put the paper and pen to my side and slowly dozed off thinking about how I''d have to kidnap some unlucky angel to be my aide tomorrow. Chapter 2: The Academy PART I Chapter 2 Pushing my eyes open I stared at the wooden ceiling of my personal little dimension, sadness reaching up from the depths of my being. This little dimension of mine was a reminder of how weak I was, of how little power I possessed. It was a reminder to keep going forward and never giving up. Pushing those sad, dark thoughts away, I also pushed myself off of the couch I was on. Standing up I yawned and stretched slightly before checking how long it had been since I closed my eyes. Not too long by the looks of it, a mere year has passed. Maybe a bit too long but it was alright, I didn''t lose on much. An Angel study period ranges from 5000 years to 50,000 years, which while quite a staggering amount for younger races, is not that long. For me though, it was very long, since I myself am ''very'' young. Putting that aside, I thought about what type of angel I''d kidnap.. I mean ''persuade'' to join and help me. Thinking about the year levels at the Academy, I should aim for the lower years, for someone similar to my age since it''d be easier to train them that way. First levels study for 50 years, while second levels study for 250. So these were the two levels I''d aim to get my angel from. I hope I can find an angel for myself today. I may be a god, but learning the lesser race knowledge was no easy feat, because my intelligence while high, is not something I wish to dedicate to astrology and geophysics. I had to cram my body full of other more important knowledge, which I''d pursue later on, as I had a task in front of me right now. My stretching finished, I walked towards my front door and thought of ''Univ Cos Sol Academy'', the greatest of all Angel academies and opened my front door. In the distant it stood in all of its glory, the planetary Academy, so large is consisted of trillions of souls with more than enough space left over. Taking the sight in, I moved on. I had appeared in front of one of the many ''Entry''s, which was were all Gods, Higher Races and Lesser Races appeared when they came to the Academy. It was sort of like reception desk. While the lesser races had long queues which stretched for thousands of miles, the higher races had to wait in the ''Entry'' waiting rooms while the Gods, like myself, could simply walk past the ''Entry'' and go straight into the academy. Even though I was a low tier god, I was still miles above everyone else here in position. Snickering to myself, I made my way past entry and entered the academy, under the envious gaze of all the other races. Some of them were looking at me at in hope of catching my attention, some of the more beautiful beings from the lesser and higher races even began to ''beautify'' themselves then and there, by unbuttoning their top buttons exposing more cleavage, pulling their skirts up to reveal more thigh and casting extremely attractive flirty glances my way. The prettiest of the bunch was an Azarian, the most advanced race known to the Triumvate of Power and were second only to Angels and Gods. Even though she was an Azarian, there was almost a hundred quintillion Azarians so she was no one really special. Actually maybe she was special, she was pretty far up in the line and only needed another 50 years to get in. Maybe she was a noble. She probably thought I''d give her quick entry into the academy if she could win me over with lust. I mean I could, and I''d be getting more connections on the inside as she would owe me immensely. I decided to not take her in, but I''d take that one Fikronian child. Since she got me to look at the people in the line I noticed he was a bit different. He was around 4000 years back in the line but I felt he had something special, maybe it just reminded me of the past, but nonetheless I warped the kid in front of me. He had short flaming red hair which extended all the way to his ankles, as well as having incredibly deep blue eyes, much like an ocean world. He was also very cute, like a hug-able plush. Adorable. Smiling at him I said a mere three words. Markas: ¡°You owe me¡± to which he nodded immensely. That aside I ignored everyone else since none of the people here had what I need. And that was Angel status. So ignoring them all, I entered the Academy, much to everyone else¡¯s disappointment and shock, especially the pretty Azarian. She looked flabbergasted as how I chose a ''lesser race'' over her and many of the other Azarians in the line looked at me with anger and hate. Like I cared what others thought about me. Carrying the little Fikronian child I began to talk to him as I walked into the academy. Markas: ¡°So, what is your name kid?¡± I asked him to which he quickly tried to reply but bit his tongue. He was only 11 and the shock of talking with a god was probably too much for him. H-: ¡°H- H- He-¡± he kept stuttering with his childish voice, which was charming for some reason as his embarrassment kept increasing until I patted his head. Markas: ¡°Calm down child, I won''t bite¡± even though Fikronians were quite a delicacy amongst higher races I wasn''t going to eat this kid. Hellgin: ¡°Hellgin...¡± he paused as he said his name ¡°My name is Hellgin, Master Great Lord God¡± he replied to which I laughed. That was quite the title, and I didn''t have the courage to go around claiming such a name, not to other gods at least. Markas: ¡°Just call me Markas, or if that is to much for you, just call me ''Lord'', alright?¡± I asked him to which nodded. Good kid I thought as I patted his head. This text was taken from Royal Road. Help the author by reading the original version there. But I realised he was getting lots of glares from the other people in the line. They all looked at him with open hate and anger but when I glanced towards the people who were making them, they all turned around or looked towards the ground in fear. Pathetic, but whatever. I entered the academy with the kid in my arms and then warped towards reception and dropped the kid on the table which shocked the ''High Angel'' lady sitting there. She looked up at me and then back to the kid several times in shock and curiosity. Markas: ¡°I, Markas, a God, backed this kids education, treat him well¡± and with that I walked away leaving two shocked people. On my way to my original destination I was surprised at the fact that there were no other gods here. I was sure there would be a few at least, I mean who doesn''t need angels. But whatever, better chance for me to kidnap someone... I mean ''persuade''. I concentrated on the ''Headmaster of Student Discipline'' Tizares, an 40,000 year old Angel. He stood there with his androgynous features which even made my heart skip a beat occasionally as well as being perfect in almost all regards. He was like a delicate statue, his beautiful long silver hair glimmering brightly as his beautiful gold eyes shined. But all that aside, he was quite a poor bastard as he would probably never make it to God Hood, but he at least reached the position of Angel Ascendant, just one step below the highest Angel Rank, which was Supreme Ascendant Angel which was just one rank lower than the realm of gods. Focusing on him, I warped in front of him, and there he stood, in front of a dozen pretty little (by the perspective of a god) girls. These were ''Wingless'', the race just before ''Winged'' which would then reach ''Lesser Angel''. These must all be low ranking students, ''very'' low ranking students. But what were they doing in a Angel Ascendants room? Oh... Well I got my answer very quickly. He had a lusty look in his eyes and these little girls were fine morsels I guess. But the moment I warped in the room (which was literally a second ago) his eyes immediately went back to looking radiant. Such a bullshit artist. But I couldn''t really care, if servicing an Angel Ascendant who get you to rank up, most of these girls would do so in a heart beat, which they were just about to. Nonetheless, because of me, they were all dismissed. Tizares: ¡°Girls, I''ll have you all leave for now, I''ll call upon you again in the future should I still need to¡± he said so with his charmingly deep voice and with that they all begrudgingly left, while giving me a death glare as if I wouldn''t notice them. Such bold girls, ''I''m so scared'', I thought as I chuckled. They left the room, leaving me and Tizares face to face. Tizares: ¡°Markas, such a surprise visit from you, how may I help you?¡± he inquired to which I smiled. ¡°Last time you were here¡± he said looking over me ¡°Well, you were not so mighty¡± he said with a chuckle. Markas: ¡°I''ve gone even further now you know, I''m no longer a Newling, I''m now a Lesser God, with my own planet and system¡± I told him to which his eyes widened in shock. Tizares: ¡°You.. You''ve become a god?!¡± he asked as a look of envy and anger flashed across his face before turning into a happy grin ¡°A thought you had become more powerful, but a god! Such beautiful news my lord¡± he quickly recovered as he made a bow. Smiling back at him I nodded. Markas: ¡°I''d like you to bring up the roster for failing first and second levels¡± I told him plainly to which he had a confused reaction. Tizares: ¡°Failing? But... why?¡± he asked me as he couldn''t comprehend why a new god would want to waste time on a failure ¡°I''m sure there are plenty of angels far more capable than ''that'' student, let me bring up those files¡± he said so with disgust but I waved him off. Markas: ¡°None of those higher class students would accept my invitation¡± I said so plainly ¡°Because I apprentice under no one, my planet is dead and I have the task to give life to it myself with no aid from anyone¡± and as those words escaped my lips he had a look of pity cross his eyes. Tizares: ¡°Such sad news, but at least you are now a god you know, that has got to be worth something, and a ''God of Creation'' at that, even if you are at a disadvantage¡± as he said so he brought out a single piece of paper with one line of writing on it and passed it over to me ¡°That is the only failure in the lower levels¡± his voice still contained a tinge of disgust. Looking over the files I saw the one angel, from the first year. I chuckled as I read his file. [Mephis Topheles, Lesser Angel, Age 24, level 1, 2/10 grades, failure] Not bad I thought to myself, this kid would have no choice but to join or me, or he''d be expelled soon since you need a minimum of 5/10 to pass. And no one, I mean no one, wanted the stigma of having failed Angel Academy. Smiling at Tivares I nodded. Markas: ¡°Call him, we''ve got lots of talking to do¡± to which he Tivares sighed sadly. Authors Note: I''ll be adding a lot of comedy into the next few chapters after I get the required information I have to convey to the readers out of the way. Also, I''ll be keeping Markas''s past hidden for a while as it adds more mystery to the character, and I sort of like it that way. Also just a note incase people were wondering, the planet creation arc will last awhile... it''s not easy creating a planet you know, in real or in theory. For me anyways. Anyways, Peace! Chapter 2: The Academy PART II of II Chapter 2 Part II Tizares: ¡°Wait here for a second will you¡± he said as he glanced my way before bringing his hands up for a moment and whispering ¡°Offkyrto moyne torpota nachla das dretei herpabl seelusha¡± and with that he opened a transport gate and put his hands through it. His hands which disappeared up to his elbows fidgeted for a few moments before they pulled out. Upon their exit from the gate, they were accompanied by a tall lanky teenage wingless who had a shocked expression on his face. The boy had an attractive face, but almost everyone who became an angel did so it wasn''t really surprising. Long beautiful black hair, accompanied by crimson irises was quite interesting. The boy, Mephis, looked around in shock for a few moments before his eyes fell upon Tizares and his face went from shock to anger and hate. I wonder why this boy hated Tizares? Oh well, it mattered little to me. Mephis: ¡°You...¡± his voice which was smooth and persuading was tinged with anger as he tried to create words for what he wanted to say ¡°Did you finally decide to expel me?!¡± he finally yelled after a few moments of contemplation. Tizares: ¡°I''d never have brought you into my office if it was my choice ''Trash''¡± he spat out as he stared at Mephis ¡°Our guest here¡± he said pointing towards me ¡°Wanted to meet you¡± and with that he turned around and shut the gate and proceeded to move towards his desk and sit down. Mephis: ¡°You...¡± he paused in confusion as he looked at me ¡°Wanted to meet me?¡± and then his eyes widened in shock as he registered what I was ¡°MY LORD!¡± he yelled as he knelt before me, fear clouding him. Tizares seemed pleased by the boys reaction as his lips twisted in delight. Markas: ¡°Rise boy¡± I said as I stared down at him ¡°I''ve come here with an offer you cannot refuse¡± and with that I drop one thing from my personal dimension between me and Mephis, and that was my book regarding Astrology and geophysics, as well as a few other sciences regarding outer space and planetary make up. Tizares and Mephis both stared at the book with several different facial expressions from confusion to understanding. Mephis: ¡°You want me to learn this?¡± he asked as he picked up the book in front of him which was titled ''Make up of a Terrestial Planet'' and stared down at it ¡°But why?¡± he asked with a voice full of curiosity. Markas: ¡°I just received my ''God License'' as well as my own system and planet and I need someone to aid me¡± as those words escaped my lips, Mephis''s face blew up in joy as he contemplated how much his status would rise because of this but then his happiness disappeared as he realised that ''he'' had been chosen. He who was a failing student had been chosen by a new god and for that reason his face was now covered in suspicion as he stared at me. Markas: ¡°You can''t refuse me boy¡± and with that I brought out the sheet that Tizares had given me and threw it at him to which he picked it up and gulped nervously ¡°Either accept, or face your expulsion¡± and as I gave him my ultimatum he looked up at me with anger and then in a few more moments in acceptance. Find this and other great novels on the author''s preferred platform. Support original creators! I smiled at him and looked at Tizares. Markas: ¡°Mephis has chosen to accept me as his lord, correct?¡± I said as I glanced at Mephis who simply nodded solemnly ¡°Now that he has accepted me, he will be given the credits needed to pass the year¡± and with that Tizares sighed angrily. Tizares: ¡°Undeserving trash is what he is, but if he''ll be of help to you there is no helping it¡± and with that he brought up the files regarding Mephis and began to stamp and sign a few things all while muttering under his breath. After a few moments he stared back up at me from his desk and declared ¡°He has now graduated as a first year and is serving under the lesser god ''Markas'' till the foreseeable future¡± and with that be brought two documents forward along with two pens and gestured for me and Mephis to come forward ¡°You sign here¡± he said pointing at me and at my sheet and then turned to Mephis ¡°The trash signs here¡± and once we had both signed he took the papers and pens as well as all of the other files away and stared at me. Markas: ¡°So we are done here now?¡± I asked Tizares to which he nodded and then I smiled at Mephis and placed my hand upon his forehead ¡°Congrats on ranking up from a wingless to a lesser angel¡± and with that I placed my own karma inside of him which forced him to evolve. The process was instant and after a bit of blinding golden light in front of me stood a tall, lanky angel who aside from having golden black hair and two small white wings on his back had no difference to his previous form. Markas: ¡°Congratulations my angel, you''ve gone up in the universe¡± and with that I warped him into my personal dimension before I turned back to Tizares and said ¡°I also dropped off a Fikronian boy called Hellgin in the school, he has got my backing so treat him well¡± at my words Tizares pushed himself off of the table and yelled at me but I had already left and returned to my own dimension so I couldn''t hear his screams. Standing within my own wooden living room I turned to the confused angel and smiled. Markas: ¡°We have a lot of work to do boy¡± and with that I grabbed him by the scruff of his neck and carried him to my veranda and placed him onto the railing so that he could see my red dust ball ¡°That is what we must revitalise¡± and he paled for a moment before turning to stare at me. Mephis: ¡°This will take...¡± he paused as he turned back to stare at the planet ¡°Forever¡± his voice came out low and was tinged with sadness but he sighed as he came to acceptance with his own fate. Markas: ¡°We have all the time in the universe you know¡± I said as I stared at the red ball ¡°Its not like we can die of old age¡± he groaned as I said that ¡°but we may soon wish we could¡± and with that I turned back to go inside ¡°You''ve got a lot of books to do some catching up on, best not dally out here boy¡±. Authors Note: I''m glad you guys are interested in this novel. The next few chapters will be bickering regarding the planets design and that will determine how the planet is created, so I hope I can create an interesting planet for you all. Peace till the next chapter! Chapter 3: Waking Discussion Chapter 3 I opened my eyes and stared at my wooden ceiling before pushing myself off of my bed slowly and stretching my limbs. I had slept shortly after I brought Mephis to my domain. That was a while ago, meaning he surely had ample time to learn all I needed to commence building my planet. Now that my limbs were fully stretched I moved towards the lounge to check up on my little angel. Turning the door knob I stared at the black haired teen in my room who had a depressed appearance coupled by a tired look. Surrounded by hundreds of books; pieces of paper full of schematics, blue prints and notes as well as a couple dozen pens and pencils. He sat in the middle of this huge pile with a book titled ''Water Worlds'' in his hands. The thought was interesting so I kept it rotating in my mind, ''Water World'' huh. Having heard my door open he moved his concentration from the book in his hands towards me. Mephis: ¡°Morning¡± he said to me seething with hatred, garnering my attention but I simply smiled and walked towards him ¡°Carefree as usual¡± he sighed after glaring at me for a few moments ¡°You have been asleep for a long time, and in that period of time I have devoted myself to learning about the ''Sciences'' created by the lesser races, and¡± he paused as he stared at me ¡°They are quite interesting, if only the reason I was learning them wasn''t so depressing¡± and with that he placed the book down to his side and got up, toppling a few of the book towers while he was it. Markas: ¡°So you have made progress at least¡± I chimed as he made his towards me ¡°I hope it is enough to start soon¡± I said as I walked towards the front door leading to the veranda overseeing my red dust ball. Following behind me, Mephis stopped for a moment to pick up a few pieces of paper before once again hurrying towards my side. As we reached the veranda, I leaned against the railing and stared down before I glanced at Mephis and gestured for him to speak. Mephis: ¡°Well you see, according to what I have learnt we have a lot of work to do¡± and with that he pointed at the planet ¡°The planets core, mantle and crust have to be modified to fit the type of world we''ll be building and for that reason we now have to design the planet type we want¡± and with that he brought up several blue prints all showing different planets. Taking them into my hands I looked over them slowly, studying the sheets and then thinking about it. I could build a terrestrial planet, but a water world sounded so much more interesting when you thought about it, but I could also build a gas world but that would limit my options for creating life afterwards. A terrestrial planet was the simplest of them all as well as the most common planet type since it required little effort for most gods, and a tad bit more effort by me, but it was still an easy option. A gas world I completely disregarded for now since it was the hardest and least interesting to make. A water world though was a much more interesting option and if I could make one, I would. But could I? I pondered in silence as I stared down at the blue prints. Mephis: ¡°I suggest an terrestrial world since it''ll be much easier for us to make, I''ve already copied many different planets structures and make up and all we have to do is modify our own a little and start the construction process so-¡± but I cut him off as I raised my hands and put my index finger to his lips. Markas: ¡°Hush¡± I cooed gently as I continued thinking, disregarding his opinion. He looked very irritated by he stayed silent so I removed my finger from his lips and stared intensely a the blueprint for the water world. I dropped the blueprint for the other world types and held the water worlds tightly in my hand and turned my neck to stare at him only to see him sigh and look back at me in irritation. If you encounter this tale on Amazon, note that it''s taken without the author''s consent. Report it. Mephis: ¡°Seriously¡± he started ¡°Are you doing this because you actually want a water world or simply to annoy me? Because I''m starting to think its the latter¡± and with that he pulled the blueprint out my grasp and stared down at it ¡°You do realise this will be far harder than making a terrestrial planet?¡± he asked quietly to which I simply nodded ¡°I wont be able to get any decent schematics and it will involve a lot of guess work on our part¡± he continued to which I stared at him intently. Markas: ¡°No matter how hard it will be, we shall make this so called ''water world''¡± I answered resolutely to which he sighed for I think the fourth time today before nodding and bringing out a pen and started drawing over the blueprint. Mephis: ¡°The planets core should be dense enough to hold the water down yet not dense enough that it, well you know¡± he showed me his hands joining together to then part with a ''sch-bloom'' sound to which I nodded slowly ¡°But that aside, we then have to figure out how deep the ocean will be and if the planet will have any landmass at all¡± to which I started thinking. Markas: ¡°Well we could always buy an island to make our job easier you know¡± I told him to which he stared at me in disbelief ¡°It''s not that hard really, it''ll take me awhile to make the planet anyway and in that time I can gather some more karma and buy an island to suit our ne-¡± but he cut me off. Mephis: ¡°What is wrong with you?!¡± he yelled at me ¡°We have a planet we can design anyway we want but you not only choose a hard option, you then try to skimp on important parts to make your job easier?!¡± he roared in anger ¡°What do you want? An easier job or an harder job! Pick one!¡± he panted after he went through his small episode to which I simply patted his back gently but he shrugged my arm off and walked back inside muttering under his breath. He should be calmer, I mean I''m the one who is going to do all the ''actual'' work. But I guess I should be lenient on him, I mean I have been sleeping for a year or two and he did spend that time alone learning about what I designated him to. I decided I should comfort my only angel, seeing as how it would be bad if he decided to run away. Entering my domain after him, I saw him sitting in the pile of books with several books regarding water worlds open around him. Markas: ¡°We could always have the entire planets surface covered in water and then have floating islands¡± I said to him to which he simply looked at me as if he was considering it but then he shook his head. Mephis: ¡°No, that wont work, you are not powerful enough to do that and I don''t know enough about planets to design such a thing for you in the first place¡± he said in a somewhat sad manner. Markas: ¡°We can always buy an island you know, and work on making more landmass later on once the planets population grows¡± I chimed ¡°Its not like it''ll grow instantly any ways, we have a lot of time¡± I then paused and considered ¡°Who said they had to be land dwelling creatures, I can make aquatic life¡± I said confidently. Mephis: ¡°I''m sure you can so ''expertly'' create aquatic life¡± he said sarcastically ¡°That is not even our current concern¡± he stopped me from replying to him ¡°We have to create the planet first and make sure the planet is capable of sustaining life and for that we have to make sure the core, mantle and crust are capable of doing what we need them to do, so¡± he paused and stared at me before pointing to the open seat to his left ¡°Sit down and lets begin¡±. Authors Note: Sorry for not releasing a chapter in the past few days, I''ll try to release daily or bi-daily in the least from now on. Sorry, Enjoy and Cheers! Chapter 4: Maybe I should follow instructions Chapter 4 I stared down at the red dust ball and then I stared back and Mephis before turning back to the dust ball. I stared at down at it for several minutes before I once again turned back to Mephis. Markas: ¡°You want me to make the core 80% iron¡± I asked him to which he nodded ¡°And 15% Nickel¡± I asked to which he nodded again ¡°And the final 5% is Mithril¡± I asked as he once again nodded. ¡°Where do you want me to get Mithril from?¡± I asked him to which he looked at the planet Mephis: ¡°Its surface is littered with Mithiril deposits, there is literally enough Mithril in it to make up over 15% of the core¡± he said to me with a dead pan look ¡°But only make it 5%¡± he stated once again. Markas: ¡°Why are we putting Mithril in the core, I don''t think you put Mithril in the core of a planet¡± I stated as I thought about all the planets I knew about, no one told me it had Mithril in it, I mean how would that work out anyways? Mephis: ¡°Just believe me alright, I know what I am saying¡± he stated confidently but as I looked at him suspiciously he sighed and began explaining ¡°Mithril is the magical metal, capable of withstanding heats of up to 25,000 degrees and takes insane amounts of magic to forge¡± as he stated that I nodded ¡°Well apparently the big secret regarding Mithril is if you put some in the core of a planet before creating it you can create a mana rich world!¡± he practically yelled. I stood there and stared at him for a few moments before sighing, I mean what do I have to lose anyways? Oh, how I would regret those thoughts in the future. I looked down at the planet and began concentrating, I located the Mithril deposits and begun to move it, down into the planet, moving thousands upon thousands of tons of minerals, earth and resources out of the way. It was a slow process, and I couldn''t afford to not concentrate. I recall Mephis coming and going, coming and going hundreds of times. I wonder how long this is taking me. Enough useless thoughts though. I had to concentrate on the task at hand. I was destabilising the planet with each metre deeper the Mithril moved. The landmass above was splintering and cracking, but I simply held it together for now. I''d focus on fixing that later on. Pushing deeper inside I reached the gooey part of the core. The outer part. It wasn''t soft, nor was it hard. It was weird. I liked it though. I wanted to grab it and mould stuff with it but I restrained myself since I knew it would terribly damage the planet if I just started screwing with the core. So I calmed myself down and slowly, ever so slowly moved the Mithril through the outer core and towards the inside. I reached the inside of the core and planted the Mitril right there, in the very middle of the entire planet and then I hardened it with my entire might making a giant solid ball of Mithril. I then moved onto my next task and began to look to gather the iron that was all around the planet and began to push it down towards the core. This was far harder than pushing the Mithril down into the core. No matter how hard this was I had to persevere. And that is what I did. I pushed the Iron down and down until I discovered something. An incredible discovery at that. It was Universe Dust. Material from the formation of the Universe. A small amount but still an incredible discovery. So I did what anyone would do. I shoved it towards the core. It shouldn''t harm the core since Universe Dust could co-exist with anything but hopefully it''ll make the planets formation much easier. Love this story? Find the genuine version on the author''s preferred platform and support their work! It was a guess at best and I still had nothing to lose from such an action. So I continued pushing the Iron and Universe Dust down into the core. It took me a while but I did it. In the end I reached the core, slowly but surely passed through the outer core and surrounded the Mitril with Universe Dust and Iron. Smiling at my good hand work I then proceeded to bring the nickel down and made it surround and mix with the iron and then I forced it all to solidify. Hardening it and warming it up. I remember Mephis saying I needed to keep the core warm enough to allow life to flourish, or I think so at least. Nonetheless, I warmed the core up to about 8000 degrees hoping it wasn''t to high but we''d find out soon anyway. I solidified the inner core and left the gooey outer core do its thing and surround the inner core stabilising. It felt right somehow so I believed in my intuition and I stopped pouring my will into the core and attempt to put the cracked landmass back together. That was another slow process but it was a necessary one. It was finally done. The planet felt alive in a sense. It no longer felt like a dead giant red dust ball. It felt like a dying giant red dust ball. Oh well, for now it was better than nothing. I yawned and stretched my limbs before making my way back into my domain to see Mephis sitting in his pile of books drawing more plans. Seeing me enter the room surprised him and he got up immediately and made his way past me to look and analyse the planet. He returned mere moments later and began yelling. Mephis: ¡°Fool!¡± he yelled at me ¡°You made the core 11% Mithril, 11% Nickel and 73% Iron and 5% something Unknown, why didn''t you do 5% Mitril?! And what in Cosmos name is that Unknown material!¡± he asked me in an very irritated manner to which I pondered for a moment. Markas: ¡°You said the planet had roughly 15% Mithril in its surface so I took one third of the Mithril and shoved it in the core¡± I said in a matter of fact manner, which surprised the Mephis ¡°I did my job, you should have done yours, because this problem is 100% your fault¡± I said and turned around to go sit down ¡°And it''s not like it hurt the planet you know, it feels alive at least and the answer to your second question is¡± I paused for a moment before looking at him and smiling ¡°Universe Dust¡± I said happily. Mephis stood there in shock for a few minutes before his mind starting ticking and he reacted to me. Mephis: ¡°Universe Dust¡± he paused in shock and then glared at me ¡°UNIVERSE DUST!¡± he exploded in anger and then began pacing around the room for several minutes till he calmed down ¡°Do you know what Universe Dust is capable of?¡± he asked me to which I shook my head which caused him to yell again ¡°THEN WHY DID YOU PUT IT IN THE CORE!?¡± he asked me in a shrill voice. Markas: ¡°Why wouldn''t I?¡± I asked him back which stumped him as he looked for an answer ¡°I mean its not like it hurts my planet now, does it?¡± I mused as I smiled. Mephis: ¡°What if the planet destabilises?¡± he asked me in a worry tinged tone to which I smiled. Markas: ¡°We¡± I paused while looking at him ¡°are¡± I once again paused as I turned around to look at the pile of books ¡°screwed should that happen¡± and with that I turned back to him ¡°Might want to find out what happens once you overload an core with Mithril and then add Universe Dust to it, lets hope for the best shall we¡± and with that I closed my eyes as I saw Mephis attempt to wipe the fatigue out of his face in a tired manner.
