《The Rising》 Chapter 1: The Begining H-How.... How could this be happening... It should have been another night of hunting Lunatic Rabbits, b-but now we are surrounded by Snow Wolf''s.... Looking at the rest of my group I cold see their shocked expressions and the way the were shaking... Giving even more morale to the pack... Just how could we end here... we made sure not to leave any tracks to lead to us.... even when we hunted the rabbits we would use arrows assisted by wind atribute to make it soundless...... But still how could we atract all of these Snow Wolf''s...They were around 34 pack members whith an alfa leading.The Snow wolf''s would be considered bronze 4 monster by the mercenary guild, so they were kinda easy to take 1v1 but we were 5 versus 34 Looking in the eyes of my group I could see how their pride from the all the time I spent whith them flickered away like a torch out of wood... Our group was formed from Bronze mercenaries and the strongest of us was our leader Claire. She was a cold beauty whith light brown hair whith some golden streaks. She was an elementalist which kinda overpowered our chosen classes. The second strongest was Vlad... a skilled archer who was born and raised in the northern continent. He was a youth whith silver hair and sharp facial traits looking more like an owl than a human.. heh and he is our leader''s lover..... Then is Alex, our strategist who planned our hunting here.. and he''s chosen path was that of a thief...a youth like us whith black hair and bright mind but was easy swayed by womans till he met his curent lover Emma.... Emma was our pillar of supp in the group being the only priest... whith her healing and buffing abilities we were able to hunt faster and bringing more profits for our current quest.... Then it was me.. the fifth wheel known as Axel... the "meatshield" hired for this quest... I was walking the path of the guardians... Damn I curse my stupidity for taking this quest... if i knew that we would end like this... Looking at them gave me a worse thing that could happen.. so I steeled up and rushed to take my armor and weapons.... My armor was made of black iron filled whith solid spikes on the shoulders and blackish skales that gave me good mobility.. In 3 minutes i got fully equiped whith my trusted long-sword and round metal shield..... When i finished equiping i rushed outside the tent and i saw that the rest got equiped thanks to Emma who had a storage ring to quickly suit up.... but what disturbed me was that they shifted their eyes to me more than the wolf''s who slowly surrounded us.... We need to escape from them but where?...... *while looking around*(Claire) Damn how could these beasts find us? (Vlad) Crap! I think they picked the scent of the guts we left behind yesterday. Who''s turn was this time to get rid of them!!(Alex) Now now, don''t worry we got our leader here and she will get us outta here guyz, so dont worry. Right Claire? (Ema) Dammit you can say that in this sittuation?... Can''t u see that we are overhelmed, who knows where is the alfa, he can leap at us in any moment... (Axel) While we were talking among each other the pack was almost done surrounding us.....They were slowly coming, just imagine being inside a forest whith only the moon as a light and from the depths of the forest hundreds of yellow eyes staring at you, coming closer and closer , hearing their growls, how their sharp claws were scratching the frozen earth and behind them a giant wold whith red eyes who was their leader ,.... The Alfa Wolf a bronze 5 monster.... Quickly, Axel drag their attention I will make an escape route for all of us.... (Claire) Tch... Very well but hurry I cant fight that alfa and all his pack for long.... (Axel) Setting my defensive stance I started Shouting at the wolf''s to draw their attention... And oh boy it worked too well, since most of the wolf''s started to leap at me whith all they had. Looking to my left I could see 2 wolf''s jumping faster so i made them first priority and dodging their leaps i hacked their necks whith my sword, barely kiling one of them . After I got my footing, 3 more wolf''s started to leap at me so i started using my skills. Gaia please bestow upon ur servant... Earthen Armor! (Axel) This story is posted elsewhere by the author. Help them out by reading the authentic version.Whith the chant said i could feel how my defences got stronger and stronger, then o felt how the wolfs started to bite my neck and hands but the blessing made them only to scratch my armor and neck, so i atacked them whith my swords kiling 2 more, but then I wondered why Vlad and Alex didn''t try tu support me... whith ANYTHING!!! Then I saw what I feared the most they were using Claire teleportation aray and our eyes met, and i could feel my rage becoming stronger and stronger like hungry beast that was unleashed. CLAIRE! U TRAITORS WAIT FOR ME! (Axel) Bahahahahaha! scream some more, we will take ur share dont worry, you did your job well for a guardian.... (Vlad) I told evrybody that we dont need you, u are just a simple meatshield, nothing more nothing less *chuckles* (Alex) I''m sorry but I need the extra money for the church *bows* May The Human God help u reach your peace. (Ema) O, spirits of the wind slash my foes to death...Wind Blade!.. (Claire) Suddenly the air around her compressed and a transparent blade appeared and sped towards me. While fighting whith the wolf''s i could barely dodge them and adding a wind blade didnt help me at all. Suddenly i could feel her spell slashing trough my buff easy as cutting butter... then i could feel losing strenght in my right leg..... Damn THAT B***H!! She hitted my leg to cripple me......... Thank you for your services Ms. Axel may the god''s have mercy on you....*grinning* Suddenly beneath their legs a stunning light appeared and they vanished leaving me alone in the woods whith the pack and the alfa.... Why .... WHYY!!! Gaia GIVE UR SERVANT THE STRENGHT TO SHOW YOUR POWER!!!! While shouting the chant in rage i didn''t notice how the ground around me was filled whith hundreds of green particles that rushed in my body to give me earth-shaking strenght rising me 3 ranks making me a bronze 7. After that i started fighting the wolf''s ignoring defense at all .... Bashing 2 wolf''s that leaped near me i started to hack their necks and smashing their bones the other wolf''s started to back away a little but their alfa sneered at them and they resumed their strategy.... Then the worst thing happen they started to atack me at once... Break! smashing the earth whith my foot i made several wolf''s rise in air and i started to slash as many i could....and i started to lose the count after the 7th wolf till i finished them all... Looking around i could see the rage in the Alfa''s eyes. While we watched one another he started to howl... and his howl was not let unanswered after a few seconds 3 loud howls and hundred of lower howls could be heard in the distance..... Whith all the power i had in myself i started to speed around the woods....While dashing around some wolf''s appeared from the bushes and wanted to bite my legs but i smashed some whith my shield and some hacked their necks whith my sword..... After a good while or running and fighting i could feel that i was near my limit... once my beautyfull armor was now almost destroyed my sword was broken almost to the hilt and my shield was broken, bent and filled whith scrathches.... As i was at my limit I realized that i was near the edge of a cliff near a waterfall of at least 45m depth..... While loking for an escape route i heard some growls and got shivers in my back. Turning i saw the worst outcome. Hundreds of wolf''s and 4 alfa''s were looking at me whith raging eyes for kiling hundreds of their comrades.... Thinking about my choices i sighed and said... If don''t die I will pay my debts for all the wolf''s i''ve slain.(Axel) The wolf''s hearing me were confused but resumed their stances and got ready to leap at me....like they could understand me at all *sigh*.. Looking at them i started to walk backwards till i got to the edge.. then left myself to fall in the fate''s hand... F**k You wolf''s, if it weren''t for you..... Chapter 2: Tears have fallen As I was falling down I felt how the darkness slowly embraced my almost dead body.... Damn.. I need... To keep.... My conscience.... And so I started to see my whole life skipping from a memory to another. It started whith my childhood when I was 6, when all families in the village despised my family for my drunken father and my mother who was considered a demon thanks for her tribal tatoos on her back... *sigh*... those fools.... The way my so called "best friends" betrayed me in the second the rich noble kids came and gave them money to play with them and to throw some stones after me........... How my "dear" parents took me in the woods and they suddenly dissapeared and to make things worst it was at the peak of the winter time, left with no food or water i had to seek refugee in a Moon Fox abandoned den, till I finded my way back home..... The next memory was when I was in the woods and the village kids started to play a game and that was the "hunt" sigh.. they were throwing rocks and some basic spells like wind bullets..... damn how could I have called them once friends....... The next one is when it was my 13th birthday which marks my passing trough the stage of being a kid into the stage of being a man.... damn..... nobody came... they just throwed rocks trough the windows, written with "Happy Birthday"..... *Sigh*... how could my life be like this..... why..... what did i kill in my last life to become like this........ *Bzzzt* *Bzzzt* Huh? what''s that sound? Suddenly my entire place became with the as snow.....turning my head evrywere it actually was snow....And then something moved in the corner of my eye and swiftly turned to face it. What.......? Standing in front of me was a creature with such a pure white that could nowhere be seen...with a crown made of.... King Deer Antlers???? *Child we don''t have much time but i will be swift in my words. You will die if you don''t wake up soon, but you are in luck child I watched your harsh and unforgiving life and i will bestow you the power to take revenge for yourself and become one with the nature. This power will be able to evolve in the way you will use. Consider this my gift for your lost 13th birthday.... Happy Birthday Axel.*(???) What? Who are you..... suddenly the entire place went black and I could feel something is wrong with me especially my body... IT WAS BURNING....ARGHHHH THE PAIN... Then a sudden gush of green aura started to cloak my body cooling it like a relaxing breeze.......Suddenly I my eyes flashed and my mind was filled with information....... So that''s it.. Hmm while pondering at the new skill I started to feel something salty in my mouth....arghhh.... it felt like I was drowning and I started to wake up from it.... Looking around myself, I could see only tall trees and the river I was floating...... *sigh* well let''s get outta here first and see what to do next. Swimming to edge of the river I realised that my body was lighter and more stronger than before... but my hands and legs were shorter...... no way..... Getting up after climbing the edge I looked back and saw my reflection in the water... H-how could it be..... im 13 years Again?!? Sigh.. so now what should I do ..... my clothes are nothing more than some simple pieces of ripped material, my sword and shield are gone... i only have my chants and that weird skill..... Hmm lets try it....... Putting myself on the ground with one knee on the ground and the other up I started to chant the new skill that creature or ghost gave me...... "My first ancestor was born from the earth. His descendants were born on the earth. They lived, they died, and in Gaia''s embrace they returned. I pledge my life in your hands, Gaia. For a few seconds nothing happened.... suddenly hundreds of green little orbs started to gather around him blocking his view so he resumed bowing his head. But little did he know that this particulary chant was the first oath created by the first king of the oldest empire that ever existed on this ancient continent named Ovurn.And this chant started to light the forest in a 8km radius making thousands of green orbs of light to rush at the child''s body. After a few seconds a swift *boom* was heard and thousands of orbs that were moving around the boy started to condense into a single orb. After all the orbs were absorbed into one the orb sped up into Axel''s chest making a burning sound and the smell of burning flesh could be felt around him......but there was no wound there was only a tribal wolf tatto on his left chest....... Ahhhh..... damn this.... i didn''t knew that it would hurt that bad... Well now that this problem is gone lets test this skill... Soul Link... he shouted and in the next second a 4m Ghostly Snow Wolf Appeared behind his back and started to meld with his body..... Suddenly his body started to grow a white fur on his body, his hands and feet gotten stronger, his nails got loner and became really sharp claws then his hair became silverlike, his eyes became yellow and finnally his face became wolf-like. If somboddy would see this transformation they would puke and then say "he is a WOLF-man!?!" Wow i can feel my power surging.... I think im a bronze 5 rank now..... nice *grins* Now let''s see what can we eat around here.... looking for prey in the forest during winter was a heavy feet even for skilled trackers, but it was easy feat for our young mercenary.... After an hour he finded a small group of Lunatic Rabbits who munched happily the small frozen grass that was still around... Looking at them he started to regret what he was about to do so he made up his resolve and sped up fast enough to catch one and eat it roasted at the fire.....But little did he know that this group had a Horned Lunatic Rabbit that was a 5th bronze monster. So as our wolfman was about to catch one of the little and happy rabbits, with a rustle in the bushes the "Alpha" of this pack appeared and dashed with his brownish sharp horn towards the intruder. With a side-step he easily avoided the horn. Grinning Axel used his claws flawlessly and grabbed the alpha''s neck rising him in the air and proceeded snapping his neck as fast as he throwed him in the air. The poor Lunatic bunny''s watched in horror as their alpha was taken away by a silver wolfman.... little did he know that he will make this pack one of the most agresive in the forest swallowing all the other gorups creating one of the most terryfeing bronze group monsters in the following years. After taking his prey away Axel started to make a fire in his SnowWolf form. And slowly the smoke started to rise as he prepared the prey to be eaten. As he prepared he started to whistle a tune. But this was not any kind of tune, this tune was made based on his experiences, tears,and all the bad luck he had till today. As he made that tune he didn''t know that there was a sound tree.The sound trees as their name implied transferred noises trough their roots that stretched for a few meters but these type of trees make connections with other roots transmitting his tune in the entire forest making even silver and ranked beasts stop from roaring and hunting making them lay low on the ground to listen this tune made by the tears of the gods and the instruments of the elf''s xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Hope you enjoyed this chapter.....um... yea, please point some things that should be improved or removed.
