 Birth of a new dungeon:prologue ch0

    In a world full of trails, dungeons, and adventures came the concept of farming. The adventure guilds learned how beneficial new dungeons could become and how they evolved as time went on so in the current era they work to preserve new dungeons while farming off them at the same time.


    Many people wonder how dungeons are created. They new they had to have a dungeon core but they had long ago yearned to figure out how they were created. Little did they know they were created in a cycle of every 100 years and the god of life would randomly place it in the world and leave it to grow.


    Now came the time for a new dungeon to be created and the god of life placed it near a capital in the kingdom of the Demi human race known as draconas. They were part human and part dragon a small kingdom of prideful demi humans that used dungeons to train from a young age.


    This new dungeon was called {rainforest of troubles} it always rained and was built under a large tree in the rain forest. The trouble was brought from the lizards that were spawned from them that wandered around the new dungeon. The draconas started sending their children there for training. Little did they know they started feeding a monster.

    "Hmm I think we should send my son and some of the others to help them grow their strength, but we must watch over them so they don''t destroy this new dungeon core" (patriarch)

    "Welcome your dungeon core No. 629 also know as Sabastion. You can call me god of life or Ivy" (Ivy)


    "Dungeon core? So I''m a dungeon master?" (Sabastion)


    "Yes, you are placed under a tree in the rainforest. You may level up your dungeon and yourself. When your monsters spawn depending on their strength they give you dp or dungeon points. Just focus the word "menu" to choose your monsters and also see you options. Also focus on the word "status" to see your information." (Ivy)

 Chapter 1

    After Ivy finished talking to Sabastion the room flashed with a bright light. Sabastion looked around to find out that he was stuck in a room with monitors. He smiled wryly as he saw the empty rooms which made him wonder what he should do.


    He pulled down his menu and looked at the options he had. The first thing he noticed was that he earned 15 dp a day for himself being in the dungeon. The he saw that he could summon goblins, slimes, or kabolds for 10 dp and they earned 5 dp a day.As he looked at his menu he noticed he had 200 dp to use. While thinking that he made a staircase with 20 dp and put a rug over it 10 dp then made a small hidden room that boat him 70 dp where he hid his core.


    The last thing he did was spend 50 dp kabolds to put in the main room of his dungeon and then put 2 flame lizards into his hidden room. They both costed 25 dp each and gave 15 dp a day. As he added up what he would earn and how he should spend it Ivy watched him from the heavens with a loving smile on her face.


    Since he ran out of dp he decided that he would sleep for the day, as he knew he would earn 70 dp a day from his current monsters. While he was asleep the god of life Ivy was watching over him and thinking to herself.


    "My child your life will be filled with adventures and troubles, but you must be strong and grow into the best and enjoy your life"said Ivy with a gentle and tender voice.

    "Elder Lee gather my son and some of the new generation to explore the new dungeon found" said the patriarch in a strict tone as his sharp Glee''s pierced through the forest.


    "As you wish patriarch, shall I follow them just in case to make sure they are safe?" Asked Elder Lee in a respectful tone.


    "Take the young healer Delilah with you in case of an accident and follow behind from a distance so they don''t notice you" replied Patriarch.


    Soon after james, Blake, Alexis, and Delilah were gathered around and instructed on their objectives. James was a vanguard, Blake was a berserker, Alexis was an archer while Delilah was a healer . These children were the future for the draconas so they trained nonstop.


    They quickly reached the dungeon on the second day of their journey. Little did they know this would be the beginning of a long journey of friendship, betrayal, and hardships.

    Inside the dungeon sat Sabastion who was playing around with his menu and watching the monitors. Inside his dungeon he currently had 10 kabolds and 5 flame lizards that protected his room. By now his room was in the category of "medium size dungeon room" of course this was for beginners. He had also bought a iron sword which he used to train and light leather armor which only cost him 30 dp total. He placed a chest inside the main room with a old buckler in it that only costed him 1 dp.


    When he saw a small party of dragon like people coming in he was interested and placed the 10 kabolds in the main room to see their skills.


    He laughed as the vanguard held the kabolds back at the same time the archer was taking care of those surrounding them and the guy who looked like a berserker twirl his huge battle axe around cutting kabolds in half. What amused him the most was the older looking man hiding behind watching the group from the shadows. Sabastion gave a mischievous smile as appeared behind the old man.

    "They are doing quiet a good job aren''t they mister? Perfect teamwork and generally good skills." Said Sabastion to the hidden man in a low voice.


    There''s man spun around with wide eyes and whispered"who are you?! How did you find me so easily?"


    "You can call me Sabastion or dungeon master. This is my dungeon after all. There''s no where you can hide from me ."Sabastion smirked as he said this waiting for the old man''s response.


    "Call me Elder Lee I''m from the draconas clan I am over watching these children train in this new dungeon." Said elder Lee with an anxious look on his face.


    "Don''t worry I didn''t come to bother you I was just being curious as to why you followed them.as long as you don''t attempt to destroy my core feel free to bring them to train. Beware I will be making things harder as time passes on,but soon I will be able to buy the function where when they die they will be transported outside the dungeon but they will lose their gear."saying these things Sabastion teleportef back to his dungeon core and watched his dp increasing. For every 15 minutes a person spends in the dungeon he gains 1 dp and he gets half the dp he spent on his monsters back when they die.


    Seeing as the kabolds were wiped out he sent one of his weakest flame lizards to act as the final boss. It took them about an hour to finish it off before they finally slayed it and that was with the healer running out of mana at the end. Laughing Sabastion decided to talk with them as they looked around his age.


    "hello and congratulations on completing my dungeon"(Sabastion)


    "Who are you?!(James and his party)


    "You can call me Sabastion or dungeon master. Currently I only have this one floor the more time you stay or the more that die the more I can upgrade and expand my dungeon "(Sabastion )


    "A-a-are you here to ki-ki-kill us?"(Delilah)


    "Haha no no I haven''t bought the function that allows you to be transported back to the entrance if you die and I personally don''t want new people to die for no reason it doesn''t benefit me in the long run. Beware though once I buy the safety guard I will make this dungeon harder but you will only lose one piece of equipment when you die"(Sabastion )


    "Thank you we were just here for training my dad would be furious if I died in a new dungeon like this one. My name is James and these are my friends Blake, Delilah, and Alexis."(James)


    "Nice to meet you come again in a few days I''ll have another floor along with the safety guard, although I get a ton of dp if you die I hope you survive"(Sabastion)


    After saying so he disappeared and they gained the old buckler and left the dungeon bewildered by their encounter. Elder Lee continued following the children while pondering how they should use the dungeon and who the child saying he was the dungeon master was.


    Back in the dungeon the room was filled with kabolds and a flame lizard once again and Sabastion was smiling as he looked through the menu."finally I can make a third floor and buy the safety guard so no one does in my dungeon!"said Sabastion in an excited voice. He really wanted to play with the draconas that arrived and he also found pleasure in building a dungeon that was challenging.

 Chapter 2

    While the draconas left Sebastian was busy going through his menu looking for monsters he should use for he second floor and his guardian for his third floor to protect his core. At the same time he was thinking of ways to expand his floors and make them longer that way he could make people spend a longer time inside his dungeon giving him more dp while making the adventures wander around. Currently he had a total of 3420 dp to spend on what ever he needed.


    He looked through the summoning monster menu and picked a lvl 20 ogre to be his new Guardian. The flame lizards were around lvl 5-8 and were going to be the monsters used for the second floor while an evolved flame lizard captain was used as the first floor boss. His ogre costed him a total of 500 dp to summon and his lizard captain costed him another 100 dp. Using the rest of his dp he summoned a monster spawner in the first floor which spawned a maximum of 20 kabolds per room. While expanding the room into a total of 5 rooms with narrow pathways. The boss room was sealed until the other rooms were cleared. Once cleared they would be allowed to enter the boss room which was a large room filled with 2 flame lizards and 1 flame captain. Behind the boss was the stairs along with a chest that would randomly spawn a 1 star item. This costed him around 600 dp. With the remaining dp he bought the safe guard which allowed invaders that were about to die to be teleported back to the entrance of the dungeon and lose a random piece of their gear.


    He also expanded the second floor into a large forest which was as long and wide as 5 football fields. In this jungle was flame lizards, a poison plant known as {charming fiend} that looked beautiful but poisoned people with its thorns, also there was ape-men that were low intelligence beings that hid in the jungle and traveled in groups of 2 or 3. The boss was a Great ape-man which was lvl 15 and protected a large tree. The stairs were under the tree but were hidden until a new floor would be made that way Sebastian could protect his dungeon core from others while allowing them to enter and make him some dp. Of course after he arrange all the floors and was satisfied with it, he grinned and looked at the total dp he earned a day now. Without including people that would entire the dungeon he would be making a total of 1475 dp a day. With this he could make sure to expand his floors while making it more difficult and more enjoyable. To beginners they would most likely die on the second floor and would die for sure on the third floor once he summoned more mini boss like monsters to protect himself.

    Back in the draconas village the Elder Lee was discussing with the Patriarch about what had happened and about how fast the dungeon was going to grow. Hearing this news The Patriarch was excited as well as a little worried. If this news got out about a new dungeon that could grow at an amazing rate and also had a dungeon master that was friendly enough not to allow deaths in his dungeon then others would be coming from all over to explore the dungeon. What the patriarch needed to do at the moment was contact the adventure guild and have them make a branch in his village. This would allow him protection as well as income from the new dungeon. The most common thing that dungeons produced were monster cores along with random equipment from chests and of course bosses. After he had contacted the adventure guild he spent the next week making some shops and also had some of the people investigate the dungeon to keep a close eye on it. When his men came back after a couple days panting, the Patriarch thought something bad had happened. Later he found out though that dungeon had already grown bigger and that there was now a second floor that even the elders didn''t dare to be carefree around. The funny thing was though when one of the men thought he died he was teleported back and had lost his spear. Later on a boy came by with his spear and told him next time he will keep it and use it as a prize for those who can beat the second floor boss. This made the patriarch even more excited because the dungeon was growing faster than he had expected plus it didn''t kill people just like he was told. With this information the adventure guild officially set up a branch in the draconas village and gave the mission of scouting the dungeon as a G rank to anyone who wanted to. They would buy information on it as long as the information was new. This along with them passing down the information of a new dungeon being spread through the adventure guild branches brought many new adventures to the area to clear it along with gaining new experience and money. James decided that he wanted to be an adventurer so that he could explore the dungeon while making his own money. This way he could get equipment and become a strong person. When he made his decision Blake, Delilah, and Alexis all decided to join and form a party known as {Unity Dragons}.

    ¡°So do you think we will meet that strange boy again once we explore the dungeon?!¡± asked Delilah nervously.


    ¡°Maybe we will but I don''t know why it matters?¡±asked Blake with a hint of jealousy in his eyes. But it soon vanished as to hide his own thoughts.


    ¡°I don''t think he is there to harm us, besides you wont die in the dungeon you will only lose a piece of equipment and be sent back to the entrance.¡± said James with enthusiasm as he was putting on his new equipment.


    ¡± but I can tell you this, we need to be careful not to die because we need to get stronger and losing good gear also makes our party weaker so we will only go to the first floor boss and then get the chest then use the portal to go back to the entrance. We can do this until we are high enough level then move on to the second floor. As for now we only know of 2 floors but knowing how fast the dungeon is growing im sure it will create more. Also from what I was told the first floor was made bigger and you have to complete 4 rooms before the boss rooms is opened.¡±(James)


    ¡° I think we should spend our money on potions and the equipment will be split depending on what class its for and who needs it right?¡±(Alexis)


    ¡°Duh! Obviously most of it would go to me and James I kill everything and James protects all of you from dying.¡±(Blake)


    ¡°So what? Alexis keeps you from getting surrounded and I keep you from dying! What makes you so important?!¡±(Delilah)


    ¡°Del calm down he just thinks he is the best while everyone else isn''t worth anything. Just ignore him, he does have the highest damage even if he is a snob.¡±(Alexis)


    ¡°alright guys lets go explore the dungeon!!!¡±(James)
