《Reborn-----the unexpected tales》 Prologue:New chance [Hello i am new to writing so for sake of improving i hope it won''t be very disappointing...BTW English is not my native language so correct my mistakes] Darkness....darkness everywhere, i lost all my sense of time as i have been floating around here for what seems like eternity. I do not know how much time i have spent here though, it might be a year, a century maybe a millennium? The only thing i know is that i used to be a human...i think.Suddenly i fall into a dazed state as my memories start coming back. `So that happened¡äi think as i sink into my memories once again. -Flashback- Silviester Bertone was laying on his bed as he was stared at the ceiling,he had dead looking black eyes with black hair reaching his shoulders.He was never very fond of doing anything that required him straining his muscles so now he was laying in his bed thinking how should he get up with least effort and put on his clothes. He can''t even remember how many times he thought that,but it was not in his nature to bother remembering what he did last time. Just as he lift up his head to see where his pants are he heard an annoying creaking noise behind the doors as he heard a familiar voice. "Big brother how long do you intend to stay in your room if you don''t get out i am gonna force ya"she said with obvious displeasure in her voice. this was his younger sister she was great at almost everything as was very talented like her whole family,but silviester is different again.... Silviester frowned as he murmured "damn why does she have to come bother me every morning,i tell her to leave me alone every day" He quickly got up against his will and quickly put on his clothes so she would leave him alone as soon as possible, just when he was putting on his pants she stormed into his room while yelling. "GET UP OR I WI......oh i see ha..ha it is natural i understand...excuse me then"she said with a sudden change in her voice and red face. He stuttered few words as he paled"w..wait it is a misunderstanding I was just putting my clothes on"he quickly burst out before she left with room. "i see..but you don''t have to hide it i know you have needs.."Silviester frowned as he spoke with a tinge of annoyance in his voice "I already told you that it was misunderstanding stop annoying me with that kind of play" She giggled as she was about to enter his room again but silviester quickly shut his door and leaned on them while sighing deeply. Well that is my morning, my name Silviester bertone and i am a black sheep in my family.my whole family is unnaturally talented while i am "somewhat" of a black sheep.I am a second son and i have an older brother and a younger sister.My brother is talented in swimming soccer and studying,he won national competition in swimming and is working his way to Olympics. while my little sister is good at volleyball and her grades are great.My parents are no less amazing than them my dad is a leading scientist in discovering cure for AIDS and my mom got second place in running at Olympics. but then..there am i my grades are average and physically i am barely average.i have black hair and eyes while everyone in my family has grey eyes and brown hair.My parents even did a dna test to make sure i am their child 2 years ago.... Overall i am barely accepted in this house since i am still their child in the end. While everyone looks at me with eyes filled with pity,today i am going to my grandmother''s place to deliver some money since my siblings and parents have something actually important to do. And like that all insignificant things fall on me to do since i "have to be productive" While i was cursing my bad luck i got down the stairs and ate breakfast.my parents again did not seem to notice me at all.But just as i was getting out of house my mother yelled something"be careful and make sure to be safe near the roads"Even thought those words did not mean nothing much it was rare for me to hear that so it put me in unusually good mood. When i got out of house i was greeted by merciless sun my arch nemessis, it blinded me for a second but i soon regained my composure and sat on my bike, i started cycling towards my grandfathers place at a fast pace since i want to finish this as soon as possible. But my protested against me doing physical activity and i had to stop to take a rest under a shade of tree.After few minutes i stand up and start walking towards my bike next to the calm road but even though it is beautiful view i am in a bad mood. "why do i alway have to be this unlucky all these shitty tasks"I walked and kicked a tree but i fell because of recoil"tch..damn it all"i yell as i stand up while getting on my bike cycling towards my goal slowly but surely. In a half of hour i reached a small bridge above a river, just as i was looking to my right i suddenly felt sharp pain all over my body and felt my self falling from bridge. I fell down with a loud thud and looked at my body. I fell on a large rock and rolled down from it."w..what the"i said while forcing my head to lift a little while looking at bloodied rock and a small puddle of blood forming slowly under me. Above me i see a large truck passing at fast speed where i was standing a moment ago. "Motherfucker...i am going to die because of you at least call 911"i murmur softly as tears stream down my eyes. I speak again with a little bit strength i had left"d..damn is this really how it ends"i say while looking at my body,my hands were in rather awkward positions...i could not move my body at all on few places there were bones sticking out...horrible.soon the light started fading I cried in miserable voice"why..why me,i had not even done anything in my life...i was miserable,well i did behave like a asshole to everyone.even to my parents.... but i never meant to! " soon all light faded away while i could only whisper now "no....n..not yet i don''t want to die.."but nothing happened soon i lost my self in void.. -Flashback end- Huh so it seems that was me in my last life, i am not going to be weak and helpless in next life.. if i have one i guess i close my "eyes". When i open them again i see a light flashing in distance. "huh? what is that" i think to myself as i float towards the light, soon i reach it and end up being blinded for a second.When i open my eyes again as i look around. "forest?mountains where am i?" This time i decide to inspect my new body, however there is not body.. just a head sized rock. "What the fuck?! is this how gods treat me? well fine i will succeed in this life anyway no damn god can stop me!!"

"What the fuck a royal slime? is this a joke" Not even noticing it i start rolling down faster since the slope gets a bit more of an angle causing me to crash directly in the disgusting green slime. "huh?... oh shit RUN!" I finally snap out of it as few big slimes surround me, however they cant match up to my speed as i roll down the hill. But i can see quite a few slimes rolling down the hill that are trying to catch me. We all soon start picking up the pace and are nearing the edge of another cliff, by the time i notice it i am already 20 meters away from its edge with little chance to stop. Even though the process was quite painful i endured it because of excitement rush i received. Enduring the pain i focus on other windows that have appeared.

However i do not recognize my voice as it sounds weird..good kind of weird it is neither a female nor a male voice but it seems to have a calming effect.Stretching my body i notice that currently i am only 110 cm tall like a child with crystal-like amethyst colored hair that falls down to my tailbone. I also notice that my hair seems to absorb any kind of natural energy in my surroundings at a slow pace, be it sunlight or mana. After few minutes of focusing on feeling of absorption i stare at my hands. They are completely white while from the first 1/3 of my finger stretch amethyst colored 15 cm claws that combine with my pale white hands. Thinking how it would be a problem if a human saw my claws i imagine them retracting back to look like normal fingers. But they suddenly start pulling back leaving only slightly sharp amethyst colored nails. Moving around a little i also notice that my legs are a bit different from human ones. "I have to be able to run at least another 13 meter up the cliff if i want to get out, but i guess i could use some stones that stick out as to grab on to them with my claws" Thinking about the ways i would be able to get outside i remember something suddenly. Staring and analyzing my skills for awhile i finally sigh joyfully. "hah these skills of mine are a true fortune,if i continue to evolve i can not imagine what is next! But aura of beast might be a problem if i can not hide it,I can only conceal it about 70% for now..But no matter i will not allow my self to be weak anyway!" Resolving my self i decide to explore the chasm i fell in and hopefully get a bit stronger.For now i walk towards the deeper part that gets darker however i somehow have no problem with my vision in darkness. After a while of walking while on high alert i see something in corner of my eye approaching at high speed, i instinctively jump back as a shadow flashes in front of me, however i can see it clearly.

I quickly glance at my status and click my tongue while transforming my hands back into claws. "Tch just my luck 6 levels higher than me" The bat finally stops allowing me to have a better view of his figure, he is about 1,5 meter big when standing straight has 4 large canines and claws at end of his wings.His feet have 3 large claws in shape of a hook...i surely don''t want get caught by that. I get in a battle stance while preparing to test earth magic, however bat gives me no time to rest as he suddenly charges at higher speed than before.I quickly conjure a small earth wall in front of me and slash out with my claw hoping to damage it somehow. The bat smashes through the wall but loses a large amount of speed.His head is filled with minor scratches, but i give him no time to rest either as my claw hits his back piercing their whole length in bat and smashing him to ground.However he suddenly screams loudly which causes me to tremble for a moment and almost lose consciousness.However that moment is all that bat needed to retreat back in the sky while looking at me with hateful eyes. Snapping out of daze i look up and notice large amount of green light swirling around the bat.I turn pale as i realize something, "WIND MAGIC!" Not wanting to give him an opportunity to strike me first i prepare large amount of earth essence as well preparing to cast a spell at the same time as him. His mouth suddenly open wide and i can see a small translucent ball with large amount of green light swirling inside it.Mimicking what the bat did i make a small ball with earth colored light inside my mouth, i see another window pop out but i ignore it for now. The bat screeches as the ball flies at high speed towards me, i quickly fire my spell as well however it speed is several times slower than his but it gives off the feeling of a mountain. They collide mid air as an explosion sounds out shaking the ground and air around me.I stare high in the air and notice the earth colored light mixing with green colored light.It is obvious that there is a lot more of green colored light since the bat is 6 levels higher than me. I suddenly get an idea as i use mana manipulation to form a needle in the sky.After 1 minute of fighting against the green colored light they both start to dim at a rapid pace.But just now i finished condensing the needle and only need to fire it at the bat. I quickly shoot the needle out as it pierces through the green light while getting a bit dimmer but it does not slow down at all as it arrives at the chest of the bat. Finally noticing what happened the bat panics trying to dodge but it was too late.The needle fully pierces the bat shooting out on other side of it, finally feeling the tension go away i relax...completely forgetting the energy left from the green ball. I use transformation to change all my skin to amethyst colored crystal increasing my defense by a large amount as the green light smashes against my body.I only feel intense pain before falling unconscious. chapter 5:Lake I feel the pain all over my body as i regain my consciousness, struggling to get up from floor i manage to straighten my self and observe my surroundings.The are around me is gouged and i am currently standing in a 1 meter deep crater, pulling my body slowly towards the dead bat i observe surroundings for any dangers, however there is nothing except the dead bat here. Approaching the dead bat slowly i place my hand on its forehead and instinctively active my ability "devour" absorbing a small amount of its strength.Another window pops out but i ignore it for now and decide to focus on recovering my full strength for now. Going back to my old cave i use earth magic to enlarge and entrance and its interior to be about 5 meter in width and 2,5 meter roof.Feeling a bit more comfortable i use last bit of magic i have left to create a bed made of earth.After i finished making the bed i lie on it, even though it is hard and uncomfortable it is better than sleeping on bare ground, after few seconds i fall asleep as my body naturally absorbes mana in the air around me. -half a day later- After sleeping for a while i have fully recovered except few injuries i have on my body but they should heal in no time as well.Deciding to check out what notifications i gained yesterdays i mumble "show windows"

Chapter 6:Life or death Jumping back swiftly i dodge the tail that slashes in front of me creating a deep gouge in earth, not wasting my time i instantly use spell "transformation" to change my skin into deep amethyst colored crystal.Charging at the hydra is slash my claw out at its torso barely making a wound, break out in cold sweat at the display of sheer defensive power hydra has. Landing on the ground after jumping back i am met with a water slash that causes a white line and a crack to appear on the place it slashed.Letting out a sigh of relief at my own defensive power i use "essence bomb" to create 16 nail size earthen colored spheres to appear. For a second they just float in front of me but they soon start swirling around me at a steady pace creating an improvised shield from any larger attack.As soon as i finished casting the spell the hydra already got out of water and is slashing at me with its large lizard-like limb ignoring those small earth colored spheres. It slashes 4 essence bombs completely stopping its claw and knocking it back while causing 4 bloody dents to appear on its arm.It seems surprised for a secondthat i am not that easy of a prey but it still does not stop attacking as it forms 8 water-scythes ready to reap my life. Not wishing to completely rely on defense of my essence bomb i create 4 earth walls in front of me while also jumping back.Two water scythes break the first wall and smash against the second wall causing few cracks to appear,in a second another two water scythes break through the weakened wall and causing more cracks to appear on third wall. In the end it only took 6 water scythes to completely break four walls as the remaining two scythes fly after me.Frowning i create two earth spikes and send them flying,the earth spikes manage to weaken the water scythe for about 70% but they too are completely broken. But still i am more than confident to block the rest with my body,the scythes slash against me causing two white lines to appear but not even causing a crack, this time i use spell "mana burst" to conjure 4 blue colored spears while moving 4 essence bombs in their hilts. Making 4 thin mana threads i attach them to the hilts of spears while charging at the hydra,in a second i am in front of hydra that looks at me smugly while casting a thin barrier around its torso.Feeling angry i urge the 4 mana spears to stab in its torso but they only manage to break the barrier and stab in about 15 cm. Hydra looks a bit angered since i managed to break that water barrier so it raises both front legs preparing to slash me apart properly. Even though this is barely enough to be considered a light wound i jump back while pulling 4 threads attached to mana spears.As soon as the threads detached the essence bombs exploded causing the 4 spears to stab 1 meter deep into it. Howling in agony it stares at me with red eyes while slashing at me,i use the remaining essence bombs to protects my self from its claws,they manage to slow the claws greatly but it they still continue flying towards me with great strength. I lift my hands and place them beside me while activating spell "strengthening".Both claws smash against my arms with great strength but my arms remain unmoving as the shock wave spreads under me causing a 1x1 crater to appear under me. The cracks spread on my arms as few pieces fall of revealing completely white arms under, my eyes turn red as i stare in the eyes of the enraged hydra.Jumping back i put my hands on the ground extracting some metal and refining it in a 1,5 meter long metal staff with a hilt. Using mana i infuse the staff with it creating an illusory one sided long blade, even though this "sword" is a good deal bigger than me i can wield it with ease. Rising the sword over my head i charge at the hydra that finished dissolving mana spears inside it before before jumping at me and slashing with one claw. Infusing the sword with earth element i increase its strength by a great deal while at the same time creating 4 nail size essence bombs and infusing them in the back side of the sword. Lowering my sword so that it slightly scrapes the ground i use the spell "strengthening" once again as i swipe my sword in upwards motion crashing directly against the claw of hydra. My body trembles heavily from the impact as few long cracks appear on my arms, hydra however keeps pushing down as we battle for supremacy but it is obvious that i am being pushed down.The hydra once again smiles smugly looking forward to watching me being crushed into meat paste. Using this opportunity i activate 4 essence bombs as they explode outwards and pushing my sword with great force that causes armor on my hands to immediately break apart in pieces up to my shoulders revealing pale white colored skin that soon gets covered in many scratches from the remnant explosion. Finally calming down i can see half of hydra''s arm flying upwards covering me in its blood.Feeling that i wasted about 70% of my mana total i make a resolve to continue attacking since it will surely kill me if it gets any advantage at all. I use 20% of mana i have left to create 10 mana spears infused with nail sized essence bombs.Jumping onto the back of the hydra i urge all the spears to explode instantly as they all pierce a bit less than 1 meter in it. Feeling the terrible pain on its back hydra howls in agony as it slashes it tail against my back sending me flying against the cave wall.Feeling a deep gash in my back i break out in cold sweat, the armor on my back is completely shattered revealing a single deep wound on it. Urging my self i manage to stand up and stare at the hydra that currently has most of its organs destroyed and is bleeding heavily from multiple spots.it is missing half of one arm and is using its tail to support itself so it does not fall over therefore allowing me to kill it. Focusing all the remaining power i conjure 5 meter long spear with a palm sized essence bomb inside it.The hydra does something similar as it it creates a 5 meter large globe of water, i can see that it has concentrated large amount of water inside that globe so it probably has fearsome ability. Screaming in pain anger and hint of sorrowful hope i send the spear flying at the hydra, it also sends the globe of water flying at speed greater than the spear. The narrative has been taken without authorization; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident. After 1 second they both collide mid air causing and explosion and creating a crater under them,i use the opportunity to explode the essence bomb that manages to pierce the globe of water scattering it into tens of water scythes that create deep gouges everywhere. One of them manages to hit my chest but my armor manages to endure it for a second before shattering into dust together with scythe leaving a thin red line on my chest. My spear however pierces deep into the chest of hydra causing it to howl in anger and pain before collapsing... For a minute or so you can hear sound of rocks crumbling and waves in lake crushing violently against the coast.But soon everything turns eerily quiet, i finally sigh in relief as i stand up while breathing heavily feeling exhausted beyond belief as i stare at the motionless body of hydra. Smilling i am about to lay to sleep i notice the body of hydra twitching before standing up with great rage in its eyes.I open my eyes in disbelief as it staggers towards me with intention of killing me or at least taking me down with it. Having no strength to resist i watch the hydra as it arrives before me and opening its maw as the smell of death engulfs me.Feeling unwillingness to die i close my eyes while trying to run away, but my body does not listen at all. I collapse on the ground as i groan from the pain trying to resist somehow soon i feel my soul trembling as a part of it splits before shooting out of my forehead and hitting the hydra straight on its forehead. Laying on the ground i felt my life being drained away for a moment before stopping.Waiting for death i lay down motionlessly for about 15 seconds before opening my eyes to see why i am not dead yet. I stare at the hydra as its eyes turn dimmer as its body trembles slightly,soon its eyes fill with disbelief before collapsing next to me.Looking at it for a moment i am filled with shock and fear as i see many windows pop out in front of me before i myself fall unconscious feeling utterly exhausted. Chapter 7: luck Wincing in pain i open my eyes as i take a quick look around me area is filled with many shallow gouges and few deeper ones. Standing up while enduring the pain i stagger towards a small cave to find a shelter for now since i am too weak right now and even level 10 beast can kill me easily. Managing to enter a small cave i quickly sit in a cross legged position and absorb mana around me to heal my self as i slowly fall in trance i lost the track of passage of time. -2 days later- Finally feeling fully recovered i stand up and stretch my body, feeling that there are no more problems with my body i run out of cave and excitedly yell out "Show notifications"

At first i am very confused by these two new spells but soon my face turns excited as i read them over and over again. "these spells...they are incredible! i don''t know if i have good or bad luck!" Feeling gleeful i approach the body of hydra as i swallow my saliva greedily. "So many stat points to gain! i really am lucky after all" With and excited face i put my hand on hydra and use devour to absorb its source energy however my expression turns ugly as another window pops out.

"How dare you! i almost died because of you and you give me this.. you owe me your source energy!" Even though i know how stupid i sound i continue yelling out curses for a hour or so before finally falling down exhausted and panting before calming my self down. "Ahh no point dwelling over it now.. i still have to go to that small island in the lake" My expression turns stern as i stare towards the middle of lake as the pulling force at my soul grows stronger. Steeling my self i jump in the lake and swim towards the center, however even though the lake seemed small i still needed half an hour to get to the center.As soon as i reached the shore i heaved sigh of relief as i jumped out of water and stretched my sore muscles. "ughh it is still so difficult to swim" I mutter lightly as i observe my surroundings. Area is covered in dense foliage as ancient pine trees emerge everywhere, moss is covering almost everything and you can see small critters running around.But overall it gives you a calming and mesmerizing feeling almost as if you have entered a different realm. Unfortunately i do not have time to enjoy the island as i enter deeper in forest while avoiding thorns.After 5 minutes of walking i suddenly feel something weird, almost as if someone is staring at me. Freezing in place i prepare magic my mana to strike as i swiftly turn around and spread out my hands to fire the spell... However there is nobody here... feeling a bit confused i sigh in relief as i put my hands on hips and stare in front of me for signs of any sentient creature.Putting my guard down i dissolve magic i prepared in my hands as i hear something startling. "Are you looking for something young one" An ancient voice reaches my ears as i slowly turn around and gaze at the figure in front of me.
