《Immortal Souls》


 Prologue

    In a certain corner of existence a universe with trillions of stars, and billions of planets is currently burning up, and imploding on themselves.


    In the center of this universe, all the energy caused by the implosions, are gathering and circulating, this continued for a few hundred years until, everything in the universe had been gathered in this area, slowly circulating.


    Continuing for a millennium this mass of energy, did nothing until one day, they formed into a gray mist, slowly getting smaller until it split and formed into two separate energy''s, one was light blue ethereal, almost like glass, in the center the core was green, that looked like a small gale, the other was dark azure blue, every now and then it would give off small electrical discharges, the core was a bright shade of brown.


    After an unknown amount of time, they started to become sentient, and began to drift in the void, there was nothing around them, just darkness.


    After drifting around, they began to be able to converse with one another, They really enjoyed each others company, and discovered they were slightly different then the other one, one had a softer more feminint voice, the other slightly deeper and more masculine.


    They never felt alone because they always had each other, but even though they had each other, they still felt depressed, how could they not, everything around them was nothing but darkness.


    Drifting through the void, they felt a change, and before they could react, they were pulled into a space time rift, hurdling them through chaotic space.


    Falling through the chaotic space, they were both frightened, traveling through this space, it felt like it was just a few seconds, but in reality, 500 years had passed.


    Slowing down, they saw a tear in the space, and after contemplating about it for a few minutes, they flew through the tear, what they found on the other side was breathtaking.


    In front of them, was a world full of life, millions of stars shining brightly, the two souls were left in a daze they couldn''t believe it, they had always only known the void, other than them, there was nothing.


    While in a daze they didn''t notice the two entities, standing beside floating a few feet away, looking at them with hope in their eyes.


    One of the entities spoke in a gentle tone,¡±hello little ones, I''ve been searching for you for many years now, finally we have the chance to speak.¡±


    The two souls were startled, it was the first time they had ever heard anyone talk other than them, turning around they were stunned, in front of them were two girls.


    One was taller than the other, she had brown silky hair down to her waist, firm pink lips that formed into a gentle smile, showing her  pearly white teeth, the color of her eyes were emerald green, showing a warm expression, she looked about 20-25 years old, wearing an almost see through dress, made out of thin fabric.


    The other girl was shorter than her, she barely made it to her companions shoulders, she had silky black hair, she also had her hair reach to her waist, on the left side there was a single braid leading to the back of her head, and continued all the way to  her waist, she had a small face with small red lips, closed shut with a cold expression on her face, her eyes were purple and had a trace of warmth in them, she looked 15 or 16 years old, she was wearing a white blouse, and a black skirt, a red flower was stitched onto  the skirt.


    The ethereal soul spoke in a cold tone she said,¡± who are are you, are you the reason we were forced here?¡±


    The older girl gave a small grin and said,¡± yes it''s us who brought you here, but be at ease we have no ill intentions, we are here to help you, and to request something, that is it.¡±


    The two souls hearing this, calmed down a little and the azure blue soul spoke up saying,¡± if that''s the case then speak, what is it your helping us with, and what is this request you speak of¡±? In a nervous tone.


    The older girl smiled and said,¡± I''ll tell you in a minute, first let us introduce ourselves, than I need to tell you two something important before we can continue.¡±


    Looking at them the older girl said in a voice with pride,¡± I am a god governing life, the manifestation of the laws of life, without me there would just be souls like you wandering the void, I am known as the Transcendent God of Life, I don''t have a name just a title.¡±


    The smaller girl said in a cold tone, filled with pride,¡± I am a god governing death, the manifestation of the laws of death, without me there would be no souls to occupy a living body, I am known as the Transcendent God of Death, like my sister I have no name just this title.¡±


    The two souls hearing this was shocked, god''s and two of them, both thinking to themselves, wondering what it is they want.


    As if she heard their thoughts, the God of Life said in a gentle tone while laughing,¡± we are are not the only god''s in existence, there are trillions, the reason we are called the transcendent god''s is because we transcend them, we are what binds all the planes of existence to these laws, including us there is the Transcendent God of Fate, Destruction and Faith, we are very similar to you two, we exist, but at the same time we don''t, we were birthed to bind these laws, we are neither living nor dead, the only difference between us, is that we were created for this purpose, whereas you have no purpose, your universe collapsed and and brought you life, it''s something even we had no control over, simply put when your universe collapsed, for an instant it even transcended these laws, to create the both of you.¡±


    Both souls were dumbfounded, so that''s how they were created, they had always wondered what  their purpose was, it was always just them, and they have no idea what had happened and what was supposed to happen, they just drifted for countless years, creating their own language to speak to each other, playing games, just enjoying each others company that was it, but deep down they always wondered, what is that they are supposed to do.¡±


    Giggling the God of Life said¡± now this is where we are supposed to help you, see by all accounts you two should have been born into a body, your a soul but yet you have no life, this by itself goes against the laws, your an enigma, something like this has never happened before, universe''s collapse all the time, usually there is no life at the time, just like in your universe, they have either died out at that point, or there was never life to begin with, but I think somehow your universe actually developed sentience, something that has never happened before, the universe is not a living thing, so this is impossible.¡±


    Taking a minute to collect her thoughts she continued, saying ¡±but yet it did, and the both of you are the proof, the both of you were originally the soul of that universe, but because you had to much energy, you split into two souls the chances of something happening like this was impossible, but not only did it create a soul, it created two, it''s inconceivable this happened.¡± in a serious voice.

    The two souls by now were lifeless, they had no idea something this amazing happened, the  ethereal soul said in a soft tone,¡± so what is it your supposed to help us with then?¡±


    Breaking out of her thoughts the God of Life said in a warm voice,¡± of course it''s to give you life! You two are unique, even though you are bound by the laws again, for that instant you broke away from it, you were no longer apart of our laws and no longer had the ability to be apart of the life and death cycle, it''s why you two are just souls, this is where I come in, since your not dead, I need to put you back into the cycle by helping you into a living body, since your case is unique it was very hard to find you two and give you a body.¡±


    The souls hearing this were ecstatic, so this is why it was just them in that void, they can now experience life, experience new things, they couldn''t wait!


    The God of Life with a slight smile on her face said,¡± Even though you two are close to ten thousand years old, that''s just simply existing, you have had no experience''s and no common knowledge nothing, but you have an advantage, most would die for, you bathed in the divine essence of the universe''s energy, insights, profound knowledge, body strength, these will come naturally to you two, as long as you put in the effort, your futures are limitless!¡±


    The souls couldn''t wait to get started, but after calming down they remembered these two had a request.


    The azure blue soul asked,¡± so what is this request you wanted to ask? I don''t know what we can do to help, but we will to the best of our abilities¡± in firm voice, to him these two were the reason they could leave that void, and live a new life, of course he would help if they could.


    The two gods hearing this started to shake, and after calming down with hope in their eyes the God of Life said,¡± thank you, our request is simple, we just like you want to experience life the same as everyone else, but we cannot because we are the laws themselves, but the heavens are kind, they gave us a way out, if two souls ever broke free of the cycle of life and death, and they gave permission for our souls to live inside the bodies of the children they produce, we would no longer be the laws but in the cycle, the bodies produced by these kinds of souls, are the only things capable of containing us.¡±


    Looking deeply at the two souls she said in a soft voice,¡± if you give us your permission, the heavens will create our bodies just like any other living creature, so there is no chance that we are stealing another''s life, it will be our own, you just need to give us your consent.¡±


    Taking a deep breath, and looking visibly nervous, she said in a shaky voice,¡± so are you two willing to become our benefactors, our family, our mother and father?¡±


    The two souls were surprised and sensing what the other was thinking, if they had bodies you would see a small smile on their faces.


    The ethereal soul looking at the two girls who looked very nervous, said in a warm voice no longer cold,¡± this much is nothing even if it is what the laws dictate, you still came to help us, without you we would never be able to have this opportunity, I would love to be your mother.¡±


    The azure soul spoke out as well saying,¡± she is correct, I would love to be your father, even though this is paying you back for helping us, I know in the future we will see you as our own flesh and blood, as our daughters.¡± in a warm voice


    The girl who was quiet the whole time the God of Death finally spoke out yelling excitedly,¡± really!? You will really help us? Even if we helped you, it was what we are supposed to do, you two are not meant to be out of the cycle of life and death, do you even know what the chances were that something like you two were to happen, my sister said the heavens are kind, but that''s not it at all, they gave us a chance true, but it is next to impossible for this to happen, in the hundreds of billions of years of existing this have never happened once, wuuuu... thank¡­sob... you... sob... so much! Wuuuu¡± towards the end the little girl got more emotional until she broke down in tears.


    The God of  Life also had tears in her eyes hugging the little girl thanking the two souls profusely.


    The two just floated and waited for them to calm down, once they had the two girls both had warm smiles on their faces while looking at them.


    The azure soul spoke up saying,¡± I have two questions, one how did you understand us, even though you two are god''s that doesn''t mean you can understand ever language right?¡±


    The God of Death giggled cutely before saying,¡± yes it''s like that, how can we not understand you, we are the laws themselves if we can''t understand what someone is saying, how can do our job properly, even though most everything is done automatically, every now and then we need to get involved.¡±


    The azure soul  thought to himself,¡± so that''s how it is¡± than he looked at them and said¡± okay now for the other question, if you two are put into the cycle of life and death, what happens to the laws, who will control the laws¡±


    Laughing sweetly the God of Life said,¡± that''s no problem, once we are thrown into the cycle, the heavens will create another god of death and life, we are just the manifestation, it''s not like the laws will disappear, but I''m sure after this, they will be different from us, we aren''t meant to have emotion, when we were created something must have happened, it''s the reason why we even have a chance to be reborn, even I''m not sure of what happened.¡±


    Understanding this, the azure soul looked at the ethereal, and said in a warm voice,¡± now that this is taken care of, are you sure that you want this to happen, once we are reborn there might be someone else you will love, you don''t need to be together with me if you don''t want to.¡±


    The ethereal, soul calmly said, in a soft voice,¡± no matter who it is, they will never be you, and you are the most important thing to me, so of course I''m okay with it, I have been with you for thousands of years, and that''s the way it will stay.¡±


    Laughing softly he said,¡± I love you too,¡± turning to look at the two gods he said,¡± okay than let''s get going, the sooner we start, the sooner we can be together.¡±


    The two god''s nodded flew over to them, each put a hand on their souls and said in a soft voice,¡± goodbye we will see each other soon,  the heavens have allowed you two to be our mother and father, for that thank you so very much.¡±


    Then everything flashed, and darkness surrounded them.

 Chapter 1

    Hey everyone chapter 1 is finally out, i might be able to get 2 out tomorrow, at the latest I''ll get it out on Wednesday.


    I''ll be busy the rest of the week and the first of next week, but after that i should be able to get a schedule set up, so much RL stuff came out of nowhere in i got sucked into it''s spiral.


    I''ll try to get at least one more out before Sunday.


    Well any way enjoy, it''s the first chapter of many.

    Chapter 1 Early morning, in Bluemist village


    In the middle of a quiet village, 30 or so youths were currently sitting down in a field of grass crossing their legs, breathing in a rhythm, if one looked closely you could see small beads of sweat on their childish faces.


    Standing at the front facing the children, was a burly middle aged man, with black hair and a stern look on his face, constantly looking around watching the children, making sure none of them were slacking off.


    Looking at a small child with light brown hair, he said coldly,¡± Weylin is cultivation boring to you, or do you think your better than everyone else, to be actually sleeping at this moment.¡±


    Being yelled at, Weylin slowly opens his eyes, his eyes were bright Azure blue, they had a hint of warmth in them, his face can only be described as handsome, he looked to be about 10 or 11 with a look of maturity shown on his face, not befitting his age.


    Laughing softly he said,¡± Elder Li this one doesn''t dare, I dosed off because I already completed the qi rotation, and I didn''t want to disturb the others.¡±


    Everyone hearing this was surprised, it''s not that gathering qi is very difficult, some easier than others, it''s that storing it so quickly is an arduous task.


    ¡°Since that''s case, your permitted to leave, but I expect you to be here again tomorrow, normally I would have you and the others train, but tomorrow is an important day, Elder Jeanne will be back from her travels, she will be testing you children and giving a lecture, she also has important news to share.¡±


    He said while looking at the child, with a complicated look in his eyes.


    Giving a slight smile he nodded and left, under the envious gazes of the others.


    Walking through the giant forest at the edge of the practice field, he headed to a small pond that had multiple fish in it, just as he was prepared to stick his hand in the water grab a fish, he spotted a little snake on the other side of the pond.


    The little snake was a sapphire colored snake it watching the water, it was very small, it could fit into the hands of a child, their was a pair of translucent wings on it''s back, the color of it''s eyes were Golden.


    All of a sudden the snake jumped into the water, at a speed that looked just like a blur, Weylin watching the snake saw it chasing a silver catfish with a blue strip across it''s body.


    Laughing to himself he said,¡± this little guy isn''t even half the fishes size, but he still intends to hunt it.¡±


    After a few minutes the little snake caught up to the fish opening up it''s mouth a suction force started to pull in the fish, and once it got near the snake mouth, it actually started to shrink in size starting from it''s tail and then it immediately disappeared as if it was never there in the first place!


    Weylin seeing this was shocked, what type of magical beast can accomplish this,? sitting down next to the pond he curiously watched the little snake, after eating the fish it looked at the other fish in the pond and seemed to look down on them, as if it was their king, gently swimming to the edge of the pond it flew out and landed on the bank, shaking off the water it slowly turned and around and stopped when it saw a human boy smiling at it.


    Both the human and the snake stared at each other, one with a warm smile on his face, the other full of caution.


    After staring at each other the boy opened his mouth to speak, but before he could, the snake fled away at high speed, a small distance away the boy could see the sapphire snake peeking out behind a tree, looking at him warily.


    Laughing the boy stood up and walked over to a tall tree that was at least 4 stories tall, looking up he saw a pink fruit, that had a nice fragrance coming off of it, all of a sudden the boy hurtled himself at the tree, jumping on the side of the tree, both feet firmly planted on the side of the tree, running up the side of the tree.


    If you looked closely you could see, a white glow on the bottom of his feet.


    Jumping the last bit of distance he landed gracefully on the branch with the pink fruit, leaning down he picked it up and smiling slightly, he pushed off the branch and slowly fell to the ground, just before landing he stuck his hand out and softly yelled,¡±Repulsion¡± and an invisible energy shot out of his hand and struck the earth, slowing his decent then he did a flip and landed on his feet.


    He used one of the unique abilities that was gifted to him from his soul being born from the universe using gravity he can either attract or repel, it''s mainly limited to matter, depending on the weight it''s use is limited.


    Weylin thinking to himself said,¡± this ability doesn''t use to much energy, but at my strength it''s very limited, I have this feeling that besides attract and repel it has other uses, when I was born I already had this ability directly imprinted in my soul, just the name itself is frightening, [ Universal Law]¡±


    ¡°Haha I wonder what her unique ability is, even though right now my uses are limited, in the future this will be an ultimate move, knowing her she will definitely have something terrifying¡± he said in a soft voice while looking warmly in a certain direction, with a look of longing on his face.


    Sighing slightly he looked over to the sapphire snake still hiding behind a tree, smiling he put down the fruit by the pond and said in a comforting tone,¡± this is for you little one, I don''t know where your parents are, but you should be careful, even though here in this forest it''s peaceful, but not everyone is kind, I don''t know what kind of beast you are, but I can tell you have at least some intelligence, and understand what I''m saying¡±


    Done saying this he walked away, under the complicated gaze of the snake.


    Thinking to himself he said,¡± I originally came to catch that Blue striped silver catfish, instead I saw such an unusual magical beast.¡±


    After walking for a little bit, he stopped in the shade of a tree, making it difficult for the snake to see him, turning around he saw the little snake slowly moving towards the fruit, after getting next to it, it started sniffing and had a look of glee on it''s face, looking around to make sure nothing was amiss, it immediately ate the fruit and disappeared into the forest.


    Smiling softly Weylin turned around and headed in the direction he came from, passing by the field of grass full of cultivators without anyone seeing him, arriving at the gate leading to the town they live in he saw a giant arch made out of white stone with the words Bluemist on it, under the arch were two soldiers with white armor on, the right shoulder had a golden symbol with a lighting bolt crashing through a cloud.


    The two soldiers with a solemn expression on their faces saw the child walking towards them, they immediately gave a bow and said in unison,¡± Young Master.¡±


    Weylin seeing this smiled and said,¡± rise you two no need to bow,¡± in an amiable tone.


    Both soldiers stood back up straight looked at each and smiled, saying to themselves¡±our young master is such a kind person, he isn''t arrogant and doesn''t look down on anyone, even though he is so talented¡±


    Passing the guards he walked down the street, with a bunch sellers tending to their stands, a few children were standing on boxes with signs displaying their products.


    Once everyone saw him, they immediately stopped what they were doing and smiled warmly saying,¡± young master, welcome why don''t you take some food for lunch on your way.¡±


    Weylin hearing this smiled and a gave a small nod, walking up to a booth with meats on skewers being sold, he saw a young women with a small child next to her, both of them seeing him walk over smiled.


    Standing in front of them he smiled warmly saying,¡± hello auntie, hi Cassie, how are you two today?¡±


    The little girl walked over and gave him a big hug before saying,¡± hello brother Wey, what are you doing here, shouldn''t you be training with the others?¡±


    Laughing he said,¡± no I''m already done for the day, I''m going back to the mansion I don''t have anything to do till tomorrow.¡±


    The older women looking at him smiled sweetly saying,¡±little Wey, do you want the usual¡±?

    Nodding his head he looked back at the girl and said,¡± Cassie you should train hard, in a few years you''ll be able to start cultivating with the others.¡±


    Cassie smiled before giving a cute nod.


    Taking the skewer he ate it as he walked to his house, once there he saw a big building surrounded with trees and beautiful hedges, all around the residence, walking up the stairs he saw guards standing straight with a stern expression on their face in front of a beautiful arch with a golden gate closed shut, seeing the young master the they bowed and greeted him.


    Giving a slight nod, he continued to the back of the building where he could hear a skirmish.


    Once there he could see two men sparring against each other, he recognized them as his Father and Uncle, over to the side under a pavilion he saw a few maids standing attentively, sitting in chairs were his Mother with a baby in her arms, his mother had Blood red hair down past her waist and looked down at the baby tenderly, her eyes were azure blue like his, her beauty can make any man stare in a daze.


    Next to her was a women that had brown hair similar to his a little past her shoulders, she held a young boy in her arms feeding him food off a plate, her eyes were black and she looked very cute, this was his Aunt.


    Sitting on the chairs across them were three children, three girls.


    One of the girls that was the spitting image of his mother was eating, she had blood red hair, blue eyes, her hair was in a ponytail, wearing training gear, a sword leaned on the table next to her, she was enjoying a crepe with a slight smile on her face, this was Weylin''s little sister, she looked to be about 6 or 7 years old.


    The other girl was currently Sewing a doll together, she had blue hair down to her shoulders with black eyes she had a very gentle expression on her face, this was Weylin''s cousin, she was a year older than him.


    Seeing him walk over, Weylin''s mother smiled sweetly.


    The others seeing this turned to look at the young boy walking over, they saw a handsome youth smiling warmly at them.


    The usually stoic, and cold little girl with Blood red hair yelled ¡°Big Brother!¡± with a cute smile on her face, she ran over to Weylin.


    Seeing his little sister run over, he stopped walking and opened his arms wide, the next second the little girl jumped in his arms snuggling in his embrace.


    Laughing softly he said,¡± hello Emily, are you training with Father and Uncle?¡±


    Nodding cutely she said¡± un! Daddy and Uncle are sparring right now, but later he will help me train.¡±


    Rubbing her head he carried her and walked over to the others.


    Putting the little girl down, he sat next his cousin.


    Turning he looked over at the gentle girl saying,¡± good morning Julian, what''s that your making?¡±


    Looking up at the boy Julian smiled saying,¡± good morning Weylin, I''m making this stuffed toy for Troy,¡±after saying that she looked sweetly at the boy in the brown hair ladies lap.


    Following her gaze, he looked at the women feeding the little boy the women noticing him looking at her she said,¡± good morning Weylin¡± with a smile on her face.


    ¡°Morning Aunt Tessa,¡± he said while smiling, looking down at the boy he said,¡± and hello Troy, do you like those berries your eating?¡±


    Hearing his name the little boy looked up to see Weylin smiling at him, nodding his head slightly, he went back to eating.


    Chuckling he looked at his Mother he said ¡° good morning Mother, is Sasha still sleeping?¡±


    ¡°Morning sweetie, yes she is sleeping, she was playing around and she fell back to sleep,¡± she said lovingly.


    Nodding his head, he started eating, glancing at his Father and Uncle he saw that it was starting to get more and more intense.


    The man with brown hair like his and brown eyes, was his Father, the man retreating a few steps had spiked blue hair, and black eyes was his uncle.


    The man with blue hair yelled.¡± Carter! Your sword techniques are getting even better, to the point it''s annoying.¡± with an sly grin on his face.


    Carter hearing this yelled,¡±Dylon! Your defense is getting more and more annoying as well, what''s the point of having a good sword technique, if I can''t hit you.¡± with an annoyed expression on his face.


    Grinning, Dylon smashed the ground causing a multiple cracks to appear on the ground making it''s way to Carter, seeing this he immediately jumped back, where he was originally standing a 2 meter pit formed in the earth, while he was looking at the ground he didn''t notice that Dylon had rushed him and got behind his back, leaping in the air ready to deliver a strike.


    Sensing something, he immediately twisted in the air and yelled,[ Lightning Palm!] sparks erupted from his palm and smash towards, Dylon, Dylon seeing this put his arms in front of his face and his skin started to emit a yellow earthen glow.


    Bang! The palm smashed into his arm, and he crashed into the ground, making a small crater appear, Carter slowly fell to the ground.


    After the dust had settled, you could see a man standing there with his clothes in tatters, and some blood dripping down his arms, breathing slightly heavy.


    Carter seeing this said in an annoyed tone,¡± dammit, even putting most of my strength into that strike you still can walk around, what are you a monster? Most magical beasts even the savage ones can''t simply take that strike and walk away.¡±


    Grinning he dusted of his clothes and walked over to the table saying¡± no I''m not a monster, it''s just you put all your effort into attacks, me I put all my effort into defense.¡±


    Scoffing he fixed his clothes, and put his black blade he was holding in his hands back in it''s sheath on his back.


    Dylon still walking said,¡± I''m just glad you didn''t use your sword, even with my defense I can''t easily get hit, earlier when you managed to hit me, it was using just a small portion of your strength, and even then it caused me damage, granted I didn''t go all out either, but still, I guess that''s why your called the genius sword saint, from the Thunder God clan.¡± with teasing look on his face.


    Rolling his eyes, he followed him to the tables, the guards who were standing nearby started to repair the damage to the area, and in a matter of minutes had put everything back in in it''s place.


    Kissing his wife on her brow, Carter turned to look at his oldest son, and put on a stern face, but couldn''t hide the pride he felt in his eyes, saying¡± Weylin what are you doing back, shouldn''t you be with the other kids, training¡±?


    Shaking his head, he said,¡± no Father I had already finished cultivating,¡± sighing he continued saying, ¡±after tomorrow I won''t go anymore, with the techniques they are teaching, it isn''t helping me at all, I need to start training on my own, to gain new insights I''m at a bottleneck, and I can feel that soon I''ll breakthrough.¡±


    A look of surprise appeared on the others faces, with a look of uncertainty on his face, Carter asked carefully¡± Weylin your not lying right? I know that you train fast, but you can''t be at the second realm already, your only 11¡±


    Laughing softly he said,¡± your right I''m not at the second realm,¡± everyone hearing this breathed a sigh of relief until he said,¡± I''m at the peak and am close to breaking through to the third realm.¡±


    Silence, no one was speaking they were looking at him stupidly, in a daze.


    Gulping Carter said in a shake voice,¡± Weylin your really not lying to Father right? If you are this isn''t funny.¡±


    Giving a slight smile he walked over to a tree that was ash gray, breathing in softly, he punched the tree and and a loud Bang! Sound erupted, breathing out softly he stepped back and stood next to the tree while looking at the others.


    A few seconds later, a crack appeared on the tree and it continued all the way to the top of the tree, before it split in half.


    Dylon seeing this involuntarily yelled out,¡± that''s iron wood! After being refined, it can be turned into metal, and make armor and weapons out of it, it''s a very strong type of iron as well.¡±


    All the others seeing this, and hearing what he said, all sucked in cold air, heavens he''s just a small child, and he can split iron wood in half using his fists.


    Putting his hand on his wife''s shoulder, Carter said in a daze,¡± Alice my wife our son is a genius, no he is genius gifted to us by the heavens.¡±


    Alice hearing this looked at her son in shock, before a proud smile appeared on her face, whispering in a low tone that no one could hear,¡± the heavens have indeed blessed us, maybe some day my clan will restore it''s former glory.¡±

 Chapter 2

    * Authors note* Hey everyone I''m back! it''s been forever sorry about that, so much shit has happened that it''s made it difficult to write, but don''t worry I''m still going to write the story i hate leaving things unfinished especially before it really even starts.

    Chapter 2 The past is what shapes the future


    Weylin glanced at the others, before he looked down at his fist that was lightly clenched, closing his eyes he took a soft breath, than he opened his eyes and looked at others and said,¡± you all should be aware that I have been hiding my strength, it''s not that I didn''t want to tell you, but I know how Father''s clan works, if they found out about my abilities, they would have forced me to leave and believe me when I say, they would have to walk over my corpse, I absolutely despise my clan.¡± In a serious and firm tone.


    Hearing this everyone was stupefied, especially Weylin''s father getting a little angry he said,¡± brat what makes you say that? My clan is apart of your heritage, and both your and my position in the clan isn''t small, we may not be apart of the faction that currently leads the clan, but we have the original clan masters blood in our veins, they would never touch you or force you to leave.¡±


    Nodding their heads everyone agreed.


    Laughing coldly, Weylin said,¡± hmm is that so? Than if they found out who my Mother really is, would they still spare her life along with her children, would you if they told you to kill us?¡±


    Weylin''s father was severely taken aback, the others were like wise shocked especially his mother, who felt like she was struck by lightning.


    Carter furiously yelled,¡± Weylin!! what are you saying, I would never hurt your mother or you kids, and why would the clan act out against your mother in the first place.¡±


    Looking into his father''s eyes, Weylin said an emotionless voice,¡± I''m sure you know about how Mother''s clan was destroyed, who do you think did it, a stranger passing by?¡± while mocking him at the end.


    As if everyone was hit by lighting, they stood there in a daze, looking blankly at Weylin.


    Alice not being able to take it anymore yelled,¡± Weylin my clan being destroyed was a disaster indeed, but why would the Heavenly Thunder Clan be the ones who caused it? Furthermore, if this was true why have I not have noticed anything, I may have been a child but I would have noticed if someone from the Heavenly Thunder Clan, had caused it, or had anything to with it, I could never forget what happened that day for all eternity.¡±


    Nodding his head Weylin said,¡± of course this is the way it should be, but remember what the specialty of your clan was? Souls! It wasn''t called the Soul Shattering clan for nothing, even with all the strength of the Heavenly Thunder clan, would they be able to destroy it?¡±


    Suddenly understanding what he was saying, Alice started to breath rapidly and asked hurriedly,¡± are you saying that someone from my clan betrayed us? No! Never, our clan was very close, and we would never betray one another.¡± She stated firmly.


    Looking at her with pitying eyes Weylin said,¡± like I said earlier your clan specialized in the soul, making you forget or change the events of a certain event, would be easy for an expert on a child.¡±


    As if she had realized something her eyes glazed over, and was about to say something when Weylin said while looking complacent,¡± enough, I only told this to you today because things are changing, and I wanted you to be wary of the clan, I know that Dad is a major part of the clan and trusts it explicitly, but by no means should you talk about who you are, if the main clan elders found out who you are, they will only bring trouble along with them.¡±


    Sighing softly Alice said,¡± if that''s the case than I will be careful, whether I believe you or not is another story, but you are my son, and I believe in you.¡±


    With a complicated gaze, Carter asked Weylin,¡± why are you now speaking of this, and why not tell us sooner, if what your saying is true, than doesn''t that mean Alice you and the kids are in danger? In fact why are you acting like this at all, your usually a quiet child, if you were hiding your strength for so long why reveal it now, and in such a fashion.¡±


    The others hearing this nodded, to them, Weylin has always been a very well mannered child, and very warm to others, today is the first time he has acted like this, and said such sharp words, the fact that he hid his strength is also very surprising, to them it was like meeting Weylin for the first time.


    Smiling slightly Weylin said in a warm tone,¡± The past is what shapes the future, everything I have done to this day, was in preparation for what is to come, hiding my strength was necessary to go unnoticed, I didn''t say anything about Mom''s clan because with your current strength, there is nothing you can do about it, the only reason I told you some of it now, was to be wary of the clan, one day I will explain everything to you, until that day you just need to be cautious and believe that everything I do, is to protect you.


    Sighing inwardly Weylin said to himself,¡± I want to tell them everything, but after I searched her soul, telling them everything would be a mistake, and would put them in danger, as they say '' ignorance is bliss,'' telling them this much was already too much.


    The others had a serious expression on their faces, especially the adults, today has just been too bizarre, first Weylin showed up out of nowhere and just using his physical strength, destroyed a tree that even a steel ax wouldn''t even leave a dent on.

    Next he started talking about his mother''s clan being destroyed and the ones that caused it was the clan they were apart of, this left them feeling shocked and mortified, they felt inclined to ask him how he learned all this, but after listening to his speech decided against it, if everything he said was true, than they were better off not knowing.


    And last, they found out that the reason he is acting like this, is because what''s happening tomorrow, seeing him speak so confidently it''s as if he knows what''s going to happen, and has been preparing for it for years, if that''s true he is simply a monster! One must remember he is only eleven years old, thinking this far, their bodies shuddered a little.


    Seeing their expressions, Weylin said,¡± I know that that your are curious about what is happening tomorrow, but don''t be worried, in fact it should be beneficial to all of you, especially Emily, but for me it means the beginning of something very important.¡±


    Not giving them any time to talk, he continued saying,¡± Emily let''s go, I need to talk to you about something.¡±


    Weylin walked over and gave Julian a hug, before walking over to the confused Emily and holding her hand while walking away, seeing his shadow disappear, Alice and the others sighed, before having a complicated smile appear on their faces, today has just been so weird, they thought.


    Weylin and Emily continued to walk for over an hour, heading up the mountain face, Emily still very young couldn''t handle the difficult climb, and was being carried by Weylin on his back, despite being very tired she was hugging him tightly, with a smile on her face.


    After walking for a while, he suddenly stopped and looking around, he could see a plateau half a mile wide with a lake in the center surrounded by trees, next to the lake was a shabby hut walking next to the lake he put the little girl on the ground, and stared into the distance while holding her delicate hand, that was as smooth as jade.


    Breathing softly he sat down cross legged, he pulled Emily into his embrace sitting on his lap, lightly putting his hands around her waist, and his chin on her head, she leaned into his embrace and giggled cutely.


    Both gazed into the lake that was shining brightly, it was a very picturesque scene.


    Both of them sat there for a long time, neither was talking, they just enjoyed the quiet moment with each other, both of them breathed softly, matching the others breath.


    After awhile Weylin''s eyes sparkled a little before sighing inwardly, he said to himself,¡± I guess it''s time to tell her, I hope she doesn''t get too upset.¡±


    Speaking softly he said,¡± Emily, do you know why I brought you up here?¡±


    Emily shook her head, she was really confused, he has never brought her here before.


    Saying somewhat sadly,¡± because Big Brother will be leaving, and once I''m gone this place will be yours.¡±


    Emily hearing this was shocked and immediately jumped and yelled,¡± Brother is leaving!? Why!?¡±


    As if he had expected this, Weylin smiled softly stood up and put his hand on Emily''s head and said,¡± little girl, I can''t stay here forever, and I won''t be leaving for a few years, I''m only telling you know, so you can get used to the idea, and can slowly come to accept it.¡±


    Looking at her intently he said,¡± do you understand?¡±


    With small tears in her eyes she nodded.


    Poking her forehead with his index finger, he said,¡± besides it won''t be immediately, we have all that time to be together, and it will be fun, I know that you admire Dad''s swordsmanship, but that will only get you so far, so how about I personally train you from now on?¡±


    Hearing this the little girl was surprised and immediately, became happy again, without hesitation nodding her continuously.


    Laughing he thought to himself,¡± I technically am a couple thousand years old, but after coming to this world, I came to realize strength is everything, as much as I would love to stay here with my family, this is the best time for growth, I mustn''t squander it, in 3 years after Emily has acquired enough strength I will leave, and she will in turn teach my other siblings what I have taught her, I just hope that Dad doesn''t do anything foolish, I don''t need to worry about the others, both Aunt and Uncle care for Mom me and my siblings too much, as for Dad he has dedicated his life for the clan, in the end I don''t know which one he would choose, family or those fools.¡± as he said this to himself a cold glint shown in his eyes, with a small amount of killing intent.


    In another part of the world, a constant blizzard was blowing, in the center of this storm was an area with the circumference of a few hundred miles what was strange was that despite the harsh weather, in this area it was lush and warm making it a very bizarre sight.


    Even though the are was huge not many buildings were there, but for the buildings that were built they magnificent, standing a few stories tall, they were made out of a peculiar metal that emitted a cold air, and frigid aura.


    The most spectacular building was in the middle surrounding the buildings, and was a massive castle, that stood erect and could be seen miles away, the building was shining blue like it was made out of ice.


    Standing on a balcony over looking all this was small girl around the age of 10 or 11, she had dark lush hair, pearly white skin that seemed to shine, and her eyes were a bright emerald green that seemed to glow in the night.


    She had a frigid aura surrounding her, and had an incomparably cold look in her eyes, she had a veil covering her face and wore a white gown with hints of blue on it making her look holy and pure.


    Walking behind her was a women in her early 30''s, that was absolutely stunning, looked at the small child in front of her, her usually stoic and cold face smiled slightly giving a proud smile and said tenderly,¡± Lilian, it''s time to leave, we need to head to the portal to leave if you want to make it on time.¡±


    Lilian hearing this nodded, and without anyone seeing it, smiled warmly and murmured sweetly to herself saying,¡± it''s been 11 years, I finally found you, from now on nothing can separate us.¡±
