《My Villainess Plans Were Ruined by my Brother!?》
Prologue: A toddlers plans for the future
After finishing the otome game I spent who knows how many hours on, I let my drowsiness take over as the credits start to appear in the game, with my final thought being about what the hell am I doing with my life, I fell asleep...

I slowly opened my eyes, it felt as though my ceiling has entirely changed and expanded to the point my eyes can''t even see the walls anymore, wait it did change!
I sprung up as fast as I could, well I tried to but I felt like a dump truck slowly rising up, realizing how low I''ve reached after comparing my self to a dump truck, I look at my surroundings.
Well, to summarize, I''m pretty much in an entirely different world altogether, whether it be a hallucination, a dream, or even reality, it doesn''t matter, since I have now realized that I am currently 1 year old, and am currently known as the Lydia, the villainess in the otome game I last played before I ended up here, who is known as the most evil person within the game.
This is actually favorable now that I think about it, there was a bad ending where the entire kingdom falls into Lydia''s hands and the prince, my favorite characer, was married to Lydia, while the heroine was thrown out of the kingdom and was forced to live in solitude her entire life.
"Hehehehe"(Lydia)
I laughed to myself, my goal is now set, all that''s left is setting it into motion...

Apparently it was my first birthday, being the only daughter of the Arima family, my parents, and espescially my worthless fat brother, was really caring of me, they prepared a huge party and even the royal family was present at the time.
That was where I saw him, the prince, with round, blue eyes and smooth silver hair, the blood of the royal family could obviously be seen just by looking at him.
I was about to wave at the prince when all of a sudden I was lifted from my mother''s arms by none other than...my brother.
Did you know this text is from a different site? Read the official version to support the creator.
He was only slightly chubby at the time, but for an eight year old, this can already be considered fat, I was disgusted, even if he seems currently normal, the memory of his fat, disgusting face along with the smell he''s sure to have in the future,I can''t help but wish I wasn''t born in this family with this disgusting pig around, espescially knowing how he''d grant basically any wish and obsess over Lydia, me, in the future. Knowing I''m going to have to appeal to him, that I''ll have to stick close to him in order for my plans to work, there was only one thing I could say, even funnier since it''ll be the very first word I''ll say ever since I was born.
"Weak~"(Lydia)
I said it in the cutest manner I could and giggled as if I had no clue about what it means, but it was true, even in the game, the only thing that made him a semi-boss was all the magical tools and soldiers he bought and used to defend the castle the villainess took over, without that he''s basically just a lump of fat that was just sent to rot in prison.
"What?"(Brother)
His confusion was obvious, well anyone would be after hearing such a thing from a 1 year old, but I have to admit, his face was priceless, he starter tearing up and after handing me back to our mother, and he ran as fast as he could outside the palace, well he did trip a couple of times along the way, but I couldn''t help but laugh as I see him run while humiliated as everyone looked at him as he repeatedly tripped while running towards the gate, this is probably the most fun I had ever since I was sent to this place, that is, before realizing the effect of what I had just currently done...

Short chapters, I know, but typing through a phone is not easy
(Phone but no computer? Well my Aunt just gave this to me, but I am about to get one in January, so until then, well, short chapters)
Btw I did not drop The Greedy Hero, just need to practice story writing before re-doing it since I want to get used to this stuff first
Chapter 1: A prodigy and a Failure
<2 years old>
A year went by with me doing nothing but study this world''s language, at first I thought it''d be easy but I never realized how long it took to learn it.
Apparently my brother was 5 when he actually learned to speak...pathetic

It was my second birthday and, similar to the first, my parents once again shamelessly held it in the royal castle.
With the same royal atmosphere in the giant hall filled with ornaments only nobles could possibly own, I sat on the high chair that my father had prepared specially for me, but the party didn''t matter, since there was only one thing on my mind
"Lydia"
"Yes father?"

"Magic books"
Lydia''s character in the game was the clich¨¦ spoiled character who was always pampered by her doting family, so I learned to use that fact for my own benefit.

I was planning on using the book the very next day, but apparently my disgusting brother''s teacher in magic had also arrived today
"You can''t use magic"(Teacher)
"Wha- no- there''s no way..."(Brother)
Thinking about it, this scene did happen in the game as a flashback, wait, crap I forgot, I had an important role in this! Well it was Lydia, but technically...
As I was thinking about what to do, my brother suddenly started running back to his room, if I remember correctly, I''d become his only mental support and that was when he''d start becoming my slave

My name is Lars Arima
I''ve yet to have a middle name as only nobles with achievements are granted one
I was confident that I''d have one in the future as my family has done so for years, that is, until...
"You can''t use magic"
That simple sentence, nonchalantly said by the teacher sent by my mother, felt greater even than the humiliation I received on my little sister''s first birthday
I couldn''t accept it
There was no way I can, my entire future was set on it, my dream, my goal...
I ran, as fast as I could
Even when I stumbled and fell I just kept on running
I went inside my room and locked the door, I dropped on the floor and cried till I lost consciousness
-
-
-
"Hm?"
I woke up feeling the cold, hard surface of the floor with marks of my tears that have already dried, a couple of hours must have passed since then

I stood up, even with the thought still corroding my mind, I decided to wander around aimlessly to atleast try and distract myself from the reality I can never face
Without realizing it, I have already reached the garden, I hadn''t even noticed how it was already nighttime, but what surprised me wasn''t the beaut of the giant moon in the sky, but my little sister sitting at the bench beneath it
"Brother"
"!?"
I forgot how she could already talk fluently despite her age, remembering how it took me four years, I just felt more dejected
"Are you alright?"
"..."
To be honest, there''s no way I''m alright, but I still wanted to play my role as a brother
"I''m fi-
"It''s okay to complain, that teacher bullied you right?"
"No, she didn''t actually bullied me..."
"Then why is brother crying?"
"Well... it''s just that..."
"Hm?"
Her bright yellow eyes filled with innocence pierced through me like an arrow, I never realized I was crying yhe entire time
"There''s no need to worry about what the bad teacher said, being able to cast magic isn''t everything"
Wait
"Little sis is here for big brother"
Cast magic?
"So there''s no need to worry"
That''s it!
"Fwah!??"
I clenched my little sister''s hand as my pain slowly turns into determination
I hugged her as tightly as I could, I was grateful, if she hadn''t said that I would not have ever thought of it
The only actual teacher that could teach me is myself, why focus on casting magic when there are...alternatives?
-

What the hell just happened?
I was pretty sure something different happened in the game...
My disgusting brother suddenly grabbed my small hands and hugged me as tight as he could
Disgusting! Foul! Staawaystayawaystayawaystayawaystayawaypigboarcrapdon''tevergetnearme
My head was filled with nothing but disgust as he slowly let go of me
As disgusting as it was, I guess this is similar to what happened in the game
But what''s with the weird glint in his eyes? And why does this pig look seriously determined? It''s probably my imagination...

Chapter 2: A Teacher, an Assasin, and a Student
Ever seen a 2 year old shoot fireballs before?
Even I''m embarassed, mostly due to a certain teacher being hit by this giant fireball in a state of ecstasy
"Hehehehe"
What the fuck
She slowly starts to approach me
"Hehehehehehehe"
"Noooooooooo"
-

A week has passed since the incident with the pig
For some reason, my disgusting brother has been leaving the house everyday after lessons
But what''s weirder is his disgusting face which looks way too serious for his body
Apparently he''s been returning with bruises and scars, finally awakening to masochism, it seems
My parents ignored it though, as he still eats the share of 10 people, which was apparent in our current dinner
In the game, my parents were famously knwon as the closest to the king, owning land equal to half of the kingdom and having the largest army supporting the king
To be honest, I was attracted by their kindness, even while knowing they''d die at an early age, I thought I''d deal with it when the time comes
Forgetting an even more important event in the game that occured
-
-
-
-
-
We were having dinner with my brother being the only one noisy in eating his food, it was weird since half of his food was vegetables, which was usually pure meat and sweets
My father wasn''t present in the dining table since he was tasked to defend against the neighboring country, he had to bring most of the soldiers stationed in our house and set camp in the country''s border
Wait, we''re in war!? And this scenario....oh shit!
I was paying too much attention to the toy- to various objects that I forgot about this event
-
-
-
-
-
The giant moon was shining above the famous garden of moonlight roses within the arima household
The guards were patrolling with great caution around the garden, their numbers were greatly reduced, but each remaining individual was skilled enough to be considered as general rank
The problem was, the moonlight graden wasn''t the only place that was targetted
Around 3 people clad in black robe were walking at second floor of the Arima household, they split as each individual went inside a respective room, specifically, Lydia, the duchess, and her brother, who were targetted due to their relation to the Duke

"!?"
I woke up to the sound of the door opening, I wasn''t surprised since I already anticipated this event
But for the assassin to not even bother to sneak, even if I''m just 2 years old, it still hurts my pride
I''m not scared though, since this was the time I''d unlock my magical powers based on the game
I confidently stared directly into the assassin''s eyes, he slowly approached me being wary of any traps, little did he know that the child he was aiming for was the trap itself
*step*
I''ll finally be able to use magic
*step*
I can finally start my plans
*step**step*
The assassin was right in front of me, slowly unsheating the blade that was soon to kill-
Wait, where''s my magic!?

...crap
I never thought about it, how the hell do I use magic!?
I can feel my cold sweat as the blade slowly approached my neck
Fuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuck
Why did I forget such an important detail!?
Am I gonna die? I haven''t even done anything yet! Wait why did I even want to live? I didn''t really liked the prince and I only wanted to selfishly survive in this world for myself...
The blade is close enough to cut me in single pull, wait I''m already bleeding!
"KAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!"
I screamed the loudest that I could, I''m actually going to die, the assassin was startled and drew some distance between us, did he not know that a 2 year old child could already talk?
I need to do something, anything, I comepletely forgot that this was reality and not a game, I can actually die!
Fuckfuckfuck
The assassin leapt at me, I tried my best to defend myself the best way I could but
"!?"
As I feel a small part of my energy decrease, I felt like the air suddenly dried up
I opened my eyes to see fire pouring out of my hands like a gigantic flamethrower, the assassin got blasted towards the door and was bewildered by the sudden spectacle in front of him
I stood up, I can finally use magic, I was sure since I felt how it worked
I raised my hand and pointed it towards the dumbfounded assassin, grinning as I said
"Die"
*poof*
Smoke came out of my hand as I tried redoing what I felt earlier
...?
The assassin grinned as he slowly stood up and picked up his blade
Aaaaaand we''re back to square one
Is what I thought but a sudden blast of wind came in and blew the assassin away
My mouth was left hanging as the teacher who was supposedly going to be my disgusting brother''s magic teacher stood in front of me
She stayed in the house since she was supposed to teach my disgusting brother''s magic teacher but it ended up with her staying here for a month to not waste her trip to the capital
She was breathing heavily through her mouth with a wide grin on her flushed face as she slowly crept near me
"*hah*I hear you could already talk for your age"
"Umm....ye...s?"
"Hehehehehehe... I want to apologize in advance...but..."
"But...?"
I slowly stepped back as she slowly approached me, she was drooling like a waterfall and was shivering in what I can only think of as ecstasy
"Sorry...*hah*...but teacher here needs some energy from...hehehe...v~a~r~i~o~u~s~s~o~u~r~c~e~s~"
"What do you mean by-"
She lunged at me and my memory only lasted to that point...no it only WANTED to last at that point, whatever happened afterwards is...

(Author Note-I don''t really know what how long it should be {no penis joke intended} so please say if it''s still short so I can lengthen it each chapter
-plot hasn''t started yet, thanks for the patience
-p.s. how does nobility ranking work, still kinda confuses me
-my friend said I needed an editor, aren''t those for grammar problems? Or do they do other stuff?

Chapter 3: A Stubborn Magician and a Lesson
The morning after the assassin''s attack and the teacher''s...nevermind, the Duke was immediately informed and security for the household was doubled.
It was also discovered that I could apparently use magic and will now be having lessons for safety precautions, mostly due to their fear of my own magic going against me, what am I? A kid? Oh wait...
Unfortunately, my teacher had already been decided before it was even thought of. The good thing is, what she obsessed on was magic itself, and not...well let''s just leave it at that.
My lessons started today and it was to be held at the grassland near the garden.
If I were to be asked, it was utterly stupid.
"Milady that''s amazing!"
The only thing I did was make shapes using the string I held with my mana, my teacher would then clap like I did something noteworthy, obviously treating me like a kid, that was to be expected but I can''t help but feel frustrated.
"Can we start learning magic now?"(Lydia)
"Isn''t that what we''re doing?"(Teacher)
"You call this magic? We haven''t even done anything yet!"(Lydia)
"What do you mean? We''ve been-"(Teacher)
"I know! And it''s annoying! That''s the only thing we''ve been doing all day!"(Lydia)
I was still making shapes as I said that, I never really knew why I complained but I felt the words automatically leave my mouth.
The teacher then smiled, she stood up from her crouching position, fixing her robe and distanced herself from me.
"Then why don''t we start learning?"
She said that in an obviously mocking manner as she continously wore the devious smile on her face.
Fine, I''ll show you what I''m capable of.
"What''s most important is the image within your head, try imagining the fire that you released last night, its heat, speed, and power, every detail that you can remember from that night."
Unauthorized usage: this narrative is on Amazon without the author''s consent. Report any sightings.
I raised both my hands I focused on every detail I remember as I felt my energy slightly decrease, I felt like only half of me was concentrating so I focused my entire consciousness on one target, the teacher.
Blast away.
That was my last thought before I flew in midair and almost crashed into a tree before slowly decelerating and stopping right before I make contact.
"Have you finally realized why you should yet use magic?"
"WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU!? I COULD''VE DIED BACK THERE! HOW DARE YOU-
*slap*
I was cut off by my teacher''s hand, my mouth was wide agape, never in my life had I been slapped by another person.
"This lesson''s over, you can continue practicing with that string but don''t you dare approach me again."
She said that with a dark face, turning around and walked away from me, part of me was wanting to apologize but it was overwhelmed by my pride refusing to do so.
I continued practicing for the rest of the day...
(Author Note- Really short chapter, but I was able to get the broken laptop working so expect the next one to be longer
-that feeling when you get pissed off the character you personally made, but don''t worry, there''s a reason for that
-short chapter, will compensate with a really long chapter in the next one
-I repeated it to make it clear
-haven''t found an editor so...yeah)
Chapter 4: A Letter From the King
5 years old
After my 5th birthday celebration, which was once again held in the palace, a messenger came to deliver a letter.
It was personally sent by the king, who was very close with the duke, my father, and it held concern about the incident that occurred in our household three years ago.
To summarize, the duchess, along with me, were to stay in the palace until the war, which is at its climax, ends.
Why only now? Even I asked that, but apparently, the king couldn¡¯t make a move since opposing nobles, who were obviously the ones responsible for the assassination, were preventing him. But he now has the excuse of having the prince socialize with children of his age.
¡°The prince needs to make more friends!¡± Or so he says.
What¡¯s the point of sending us now? But apparently the war was reaching its end, and the land we acquired was to be split among the nobles who participated, depending on how much they contributed, and my father, who brought most of his troops, was expected to receive most of the land.
There were nobles who complained, saying how unfair it was since my father held an army equal to all the nobles¡¯ armies combined, this then leads us to this current situation.
Our household¡¯s security was at its lowest point, and the safety of the garden was a greater concern than us, which forced the king to take drastic measures in securing our safety.
My mother was allowed to stay with the excuse of ¡°personally taking care of her daughter¡±, and brought 2 trusted maids from the household.
The narrative has been taken without authorization; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.
The only exception was my disgusting brother, who was in the magical academy, currently studying magic, is what my mother says, but I found out when I eavesdropped that he was at the country¡¯s border, staying in a small village near the famous ancient ruins, which was at the opposite side of the place where the war was currently happening.
We arrived at the palace, seeing the number of carriages near the entrance, the number of children staying was numerous. An attendant came to our carriage and spoke with my mother.
¡°Madam, your rooms have been prepared.¡±
After coming out of the carriage, my mother spoke with the attendant, mostly discussing about what we¡¯d mostly do in the palace. I then found out that most of the children came only to attend the tea party, which was to be held at the end of the week.
I was then sent to my room to rest, since we were to tour the palace tomorrow, and the attendant also told us about the tour around the capital after the party.
¡°The seats could bring great discomfort, if not fixed properly.¡±
I only realized her message when I was about to fall sleep, causing me to suddenly lose drowsiness and lose all focus the following day, which unfortunately, was the day where I had my first conversation with the prince.
(Author Note-too many notes
-boring chapt, I know {500 words, I lied 499 ;p), but cut me some slack, it''s Christmas!
-next chapter might be short {fakken christmas} but the following one will [probably] be longer
-merry Christmas
-am I the only talkative author here? cuz'' you know, kinda new)
Conversations? Who needs that!
Jk but the following ones are actually gonna have proper ones so...yeah...
Chapter 5: A Noble Meeting and a Tour
I slowly opened my eyes to the sunlight seeping from the opening between the curtains.
"It''s morning huh."
As much as I wanted to immediately stand up, an uncomfortable feeling was preventing me from doing so.
The only thing I was sure of is that this feeling originates from my dream, but I can''t seem to remember it.
"..."
Giving up on the thought, I finally got out of bed and took my morning bath.
The attendant from yesterday came to personally guide us around the castle, and by us, I meant each and every one of that arrived yesterday.
There were around twenty of us, with varying looks, ages, and pedigree, but everyone was near the age of the prince.
My mother wasn''t with me as she was the only noble who came with her child, and she has already been here multiple times so it''d be pointless to give her a tour.
We gathered at the entrance hall before starting the tour, it was quite similar to a museum tour for kids if one were to look from afar.
Everyone was looking around, surveying the surroundings like a country bumpkin''s first time at the capital.
Looks like they hadn''t had much time to see this yesterday.
"Before we start, why don''t we make four lines so it''d be easy to move around?"(Attendant)
Yep, definitely for kids.
"Why should we listen to you?"(Noble Kid)
Huh?
"Yeah right, you''re just an attendant right? How dare you order us around like that?"(Noble kid 2)
Wait what?
Everyone began to follow suit afterwards.
I''m pretty sure she was just making a request.
Sure I do like to abuse my power as well, but I at least pride in making reasonable complaints, unlike these kids getting to ahead of themselves.
Seeing as they would just delay the tour...
"Would you brats just shut up?"
I decided to talk.
"And who are YOU to order us around?"
A boy around my age who seems to have started this mess began to talk.
With short red hair and round, yellow eyes, he was holding his chest high in pride as he faced towards my direction.
He suddenly stuttered and cowered in fear after realizing who I was.
"L-lydia Arima, of the Arima H-household..."
That was redundant, dumb ass.
After looking at him carefully, I realized he was of the Fiora Household, famous for being the kingdom''s strongest flame magicians.
And based on his age, I realized that he was Aur Fiora, one of the characters whose route was available in the game.
Not that it matters though, since he doesn''t have much effect on my route.
Seeing as everyone was looking at him as he shivered in fear, I glanced at the attendant and gestured the time.
"S-so let''s just start making lines now to finally start the tour."
The attendant then smiled at me as everyone finally began forming lines.
Piss off, I''m doing this for myself.
As we finally stared moving, we first went to the royal library.
At first I thought it was a bad idea, but I realized it was best to start off with the most boring and annoying places before moving to the good ones.
Nobles are both easy to please and easy to annoy, this might have actually been the best course of action rather than moving to the nearest areas.
That is, if we weren''t kids.
The tour took way longer than expected, it was already afternoon and we''ve only reached the library, the ballroom, and we''re currently at the dining hall along with the king.
If you encounter this tale on Amazon, note that it''s taken without the author''s consent. Report it.Along with the king, I know I just repeated this but this was out of my expectations.
It was the around the time of lunch when we arrived at the dining hall, and most of the children were surprised to see the dining hall, especially the king''s chair, which was filled with gems and decorations peasants would only dream of having.
One of the us suddenly tried sitting on it, I thought that that kid''d be stopped but the guards near the door just let him be.
I found out why when I saw the child struggling to pull the chair from the table.
Even with the comfortable cushion, it''s interior was composed purely of mithril, and only the strongest of warriors or perhaps...
"!?" (Noble Kid)
I knew it.
The chair moved on its own as a faint blue light can be seen in its surface.
The noble kid immediately stepped back and ran towards his personal maid.
The one who moved the chair sat on it and, while smiling, he invited us to take a seat.
"Young children like you should experience this while your innocent."(King)
He said as he smiled towards us.
Bitch I''m 21, if I add both my current age and my old one, but I obviously can''t say that.
Even if I wanted to, his presence was strong enough to leave me speechless.
With his hair and eyes glowing the same color as that of mana, the only trait that made him seem old were his wrinkles.
He was powerful, even without the crown and palace it was obvious that he was indeed the ruler of the neutral Artifa Kingdom.
This was a famous trait among the descendants of the Artifa family, born with silver hair and blue eyes which then turn into a permanent color of glowing mana, it was similar to the transcendent magi, but with clear differences.
Transcedent magi are known to be the strongest magicians in this world, and only those chosen by the gods of magic can reach this.
They usually have the color of their elemental traits glowing but it all turns into the color of mana when they unleash their power, no warrior, soldier, or magic could ever harm them if it is not equal to their power.
Except for the Artifa family.
As lame as their name''s origin sounds, the powers brought by the magical artifact they own, is absolute.
Even in the game, the only reason Lydia, I won in the bad end was due to the curse I placed on the artifact that slowly corroded their mana cores.
There''s no way, in my current age, even if I get stronger, can I fight them.
The difference was obvious just by feeling the pressure he emits.
My palms are sweaty, they were shivering like crazy, I can feel my heart beating faster than I could ever imagine, and I felt like a cornered rat, waiting for my life''s judgement at any given notice.
My meal tasted bad for the first time in my life...
(Author note-knees weak arms are heavy
-why no chapt yesterday? most authors/translators gave extra chapters cuz'' it''s christmas, I''m just on the receiving side as well :3
-actual side stories incoming! (crucial ones at that)
-first normal length chapter! Is this real life? nope, I just decided to do this in the morning (usually before midnight, and I try posting chapters before it reaches 12, which is apparently, dumb, I''m lazy busy, you know?

- belated advance merry christmas, I''m the earliest to greet :p, or not)
P.S. I dare you fakken continue the song
Lydia Arima
Before I was Lydia Arima,
I was born in a poor family, with parents that fought every now and then, and siblings that would bully me every time they felt like it.
But that was normal, they have power, I don''t.
Even in school, because I can''t speak properly, many would assume I''m arrogant.
It isn''t my fault I have this injury, but because I can''t speak well, there''s nothing I can do about.
I was surprised I even lived to reach high school, there were many times where I''d almost die and my family would do nothing about it.
But who are they to blame, my illness was the one at fault here.
Being unable to walk, using crutches was a natural thing for me.
If that wasn''t costly enough, I had to take different kinds of medicine each day.
My family went poor because of me, and my brother was sent to jail for shoving a bread knife down my throat.
If I didn''t crawl outside the house, I would have died of bleeding.
"You should''ve never been born." He said.
And my parents would agree with it.
They made an excuse of not noticing me when asked by the police.
They noticed, but ignored is what they should''ve said.
But who am I to complain? I ruined their lives, so it''s normal for them to resent me.
That only led to more complications in my body and my condition got worse each day.
My friend was my only mental support at that time.
She lived on the other side of the road, and would often bring food as she visits.
On my last birthday, she gave me a PSP, with the game she would always talk about.
She was kind, caring, and understanding, to the point where she would even brush off every curse I''d say to her.
I didn''t want her to be affected by someone as worthless as me, but as much as I kept distance, she would only come closer.
Then that day came.
My parents were in my sister''s school for her graduation when my brother came.
He escaped prison and came to my room while I was arguing with my friend.
Holding a knife in his hand, he tried stabbing me, only to be tackled by my friend.
He was furious, at me who ruined his life, and at his ruined life itself.
They were struggling for the knife, but it was obvious that my brother was physically stronger than my friend.
Then she was stabbed, I was unable to do anything as my brother repeatedly stabbed her as he sat atop her.
It was only when he started to scream in anger that I realized the current spectacle happening in front of me.
I took my friend''s PSP and threw it to his face.
Surprised, he tried standing up, only to slip on the pool of my friend''s blood.
He landed on his back, and hit his head on the concrete floor.
With all my remaining strength, I close the distance, and, using my crutches, the only thing that allowed me to walk, I crushed his sensitive part as he screamed in pain.
Picking up the knife as he writhed in agony, I stabbed his chest using the momentum as I let myself fall down.

The reason I was arguing with my friend, why I made so much distance with her, was because I''ve stopped taking medicines ever since a month ago.
If I was going to die anyway, I should''ve just spent my final days in fun, was what I thought.
Without using the crutches I use to normally walk, I crawled to my room.
Picking up my friend''s birthday gift, which I held most dearly, I finished the game which was near its end as I slowly drift my consciousness away.
In the end, I was powerless, helpless, useless.
Never having anything I have, I swore.
The moment I get another life, I''ll be the one with power.
If I have power, no one would ever go against me, everything would go as I wanted.
I can reject everything I hated and live for only, and only myself.
As my consciousness faded, so did the game I finished.
I am Lydia Arima
I was two when I first used my magic.
My brother''s teacher was amazed at me for being the first to use it at my age.
Only to be disappointed by my impatience, causing her to leave the house.
But I improved and became loved by everyone around me.
That is, before I turned nine.
Right before my ninth birthday, my parents were assassinated, leaving only me and my brother behind.
I became selfish, abusive, and most of all, evil.
I hated the world, I hated my parent''s killers, but most of all, I hated power.
If we were born as a simple household, living happily and quietly outside the capital, would this have happened?
But most of all, I pity my brother.
I was his only mental support, and I acted as such.
He was forced to inherit father''s position without preparation.
Being unable to use magic, his lifelong dream, he ate and ate to escape from reality.
I''ve become a shitty person as well, so I can''t complain.
But as much as I tried having revenge on the ones responsible for my parent''s death, I ended up getting killed by a woman named Stella, who was the prince''s, my enemy''s lover.
Famous for transferring in as a promising student, she was the one that lead the people who invaded the palace I conquered.
In my final moments, my only thoughts were that of the woman named Stella.
Unlike me, who killed and died for a selfish reason, she lived and fought for the sake of others.
Maybe I should try living as that too.
Were my final thoughts before my consciousness drifted away...
Only to wake up in the body of a baby.
But something was different, I felt two more consciousness in this baby''s body, one which was weak, and another which was even stronger than mine.
Just what the hell is happening!?
(Author Note-plot twiiiiiiiiiist
-I can finally eat after finishing this
-one more chapt?)
Chapter 6: An Unexpected Meeting
I was finally able to calm down after we left the dining hall, I''d rather not meet the king again after such an encounter, nor do I want to oppose him.
My breathing and heartbeat went back to normal, my sweat stopped pouring and my shivering finally stopped.
It wasn''t the first time I felt fear, but our difference was as clear as night and day, there just wasn''t any hope.
There are several types of skilled magicians in this world.
The hereditary ones, whom acquire their strong magical powers from their ancestry.
The blessed ones, who are gifted with great power from either the fruit of their efforts or just because the particular god took a liking to the person.
And the devoted ones, who spend all their efforts in strengthening their magic.
Even if we''re all called magicians, that is only a racial term.
People who are born capable of using magic are all called magicians.
Only by increasing their power can they raise their rank.
Having seven tiers, the strength of the magicians determine their rank.
Magician, Mage, Battlemage, Wizard, Grand Wizard, Magi, and Transcedent Magi.
Those who exceed wizard rank are no longer considered human.
I was part of the hereditary ones, the strongest ones at that.
But in the game, I only got to kill the king by using an underhanded trick, leaving only Lydia as the most powerful one in the kingdom.
But the reason why Lydia was beaten in the game was simple.
Stella, the protagonist of the game, was not only powerful in nature, she was loved by many gods, being the only person having multiple kinds of unique magic, and also known as the most blessed person in the game.
She had different kinds of unique magic, but only few were disclosed in the game, I thought it''d appear in the sequel, but apparently this was the last game its company made before disappearing.
Disappearing...?
...
After a couple minutes of walking, we finally arrived at the garrison.
The smell was obviously bad, filled with the stench of sweaty men that can be seen practicing in the background.
All of us had disgusted expressions, with the attendant being the only one unfazed.
She''s probably used to it.
There were also magicians at the target range practicing their magic on dummies at a distance.
The first thought that occurred to me was why aren''t the dummies breaking but after seeing the magicians standing behind it, I immediately found out.
"Why aren''t the dummies breaking?"(Aur)
I just said it! oh wait I didn''t...
"Can you see the mages behind those blue dummies?"(Attendant)
"Yeah"(Aur)
Just explain it already!
"Isn''t that dangerous?"(Aur)
The attendant then smiled and pointed towards the blue dummies, stop prolonging it and just explain it already!
It''s like learning something good and hearing someone teach it in front of you.
They''re just supplying magic to the dummies to absorb the attacks dammit!
Wait.
How did I know that...?
The attendant explained with pride as I listened in frustration.
When suddenly, a girl ran towards one of the dummies.
"Wait that''s dangerous!"(Attendant)
"Brother said not to listen to peasants!"(Noble girl)
"That wasn''t what I meant! Ria!"(Aur)
She jumped in delight as she clung towards one of the blue dummies.
The magician stationed there already launch his fireball before noticing the girl.
This is why I hate kids...
As I turned towards the opposite direction of the spectacle that''s currently happening, my hand suddenly pointed itself towards the direction of the girl named Ria.
The author''s narrative has been misappropriated; report any instances of this story on Amazon.
"Look out!"(Attendant)
The attendant screamed as the fireball flying towards the girl grew closer.
That was when it happened.
I felt my entire body losing its power as the dummy behind the girl went from a blue color to the brownish color normal dummies have.
The magician behind the dummy suddenly went flying as the fireball hit the girl.
Or almost hit her.
Something like a force field blocked the fireball and prevented the damage it could''ve done.
That was the last thing I remembered before I lost consciousness...
Only to wake up in what seemed to be the world of dreams.
My mouth was wide agape.
In this dream like world, I was in the same palace I was in.
But it was different, the palace was in ruins.
After looking around, I realized the only thing that made this ruins similar to the palace was the kingdom''s symbol.
Confused, I wandered around the ominous ruins as I reached what seemed to be the throne room.
Broken gems, pillars, and the eerie feeling of malice could be felt from this place.
But what disturbed me the most was the feeling that''s been in my chest ever since I came here.
Loneliness, sadness, grief, regret, and envy, and many more.
I couldn''t explain it, but all these feelings disappeared as I saw the person sitting on the mighty chair, which wasn''t even fazed by the destruction in its surroundings.
With a dark expression on her face, she stood up and drew near me.
I was stunned by the person right in front of me.
She would look just like me if I were an adult, no, she might actually be me if I were an adult.
But what''s with this weird feeling?
"I know what you''re thinking"(???)
"Wha!?"(Lydia)
I suddenly stepped back, surprised by the unexpected voice that came out of her mouth.
"I look just like you, I have the same thoughts as you, basically, I am you."(???)
"W-what are you trying to say?"(Lydia)
She drew closer as I hit my back on a broken pillar.
"But I am also not you"(???)
"Then who are you?"(Lydia)
She came nearer as she spoke to me, I was confused and tried running away, but my body couldn''t move.
Her voice was familiar, it was at the tip of my tongue, I just couldn''t remember.
"Lydia Arima, who died at the age of 16."(???)
"Then you''re-"(Lydia)
"Came here by the use of my unique magic."(???)
...
What...?
"You still don''t get it? No, you already realized from the start."(???)
"No way..."(Lydia)
She stopped walking.
"That''s right, it''s me-
Smiling as if ridiculing me, she spoke.
-Stella."
...
...what?
(Author note-this would''ve been posted earlier if not for the on-screen keyboard.
-am I improving or not? cuz'' I''m still having a hard time here lol
-this child arc is nearing its end that''s for sure
-fast paced? yeah I''m having an issue with that
-about the chapter I''m supposed to post yesterday...let''s just say I''m quite the liar huehuehue)
-apparently someone ranked this series, atleast it''s not a review since those are only done when you''ve actually finished the series [which is really weird about the people in this website, you don''t make a review if you''ve only watched half a movie you know? well except if it sucks, and that''s still not a valid review]), meh, this series isn''t my official one so it doesn''t really matter.)
Chapter 7: The Heroine Known as Stella
"Waitwaitwait, this doesn''t make sense! First of all why are you me!? And what are you-"(Lydia)
"You need to calm down first."(Stella)
She cut me off by merely pointing her index finger at me, I felt my body losing its strength, similar to how it felt before I lost consciousness.
"You were the one that saved the brat named Ria!"(Lydia)
"Unfortunately, no"(Stella)
It isn''t her!?
"Listen, I know you have a ton of questions to ask, but I want you to listen to me first."(Stella)
"..."(Lydia)
"..."(Stella)
"..."(Lydia)
The awkward silence was too much so she began talking.
She told me of the events that happened after the game, her memory was hazy, but what she clearly remembered was her using a unique magic to restart this world.
It worked, but it was an entirely different dimension, whoever reached this world was not known, except for two people.
"The prince and Lydia, right?"(Lydia)
"Correct."(Stella)
It was obvious, since they were the ones nearest to Stella at the end of the game.
Still, there''s an important question that''s yet to be answered...
"If you were sent to this game, wouldn''t you normally be in "Stella''s", your body?"(Lydia)
"That''s where the first problem comes in."(Stella)
I knew it.
"Someone else is inside "Stella", I don''t know who, but that person''s will is strong enough to force me in this body."(Stella)
"And that person is...?"(Lydia)
"That''s where the second problem comes in, the only way for me to know is to meet the person itself, if not, our plans for the future will be ruined."(Stella)
"Plans for the...future?"(Lydia)
I never heard nor knew of such a plan.
"We are going to need "Stella''s" help if we plan on surviving this world."(Stella)
"Stella''s"...help?
"What? No, that''s just-"(Lydia)
"Huh? What''s the problem?"(Stella)
That''s not how the game...
"I-I''m the villainess, a-and she''s the heroine."(Lydia)
"And...? I don''t see any problem. You haven''t even met each other, you just have to pull the right strings and she''s sure to help us."(Stella)
"B-but that''s not how it happened in the game..."(Lydia)
If I just kill the heroine in one of the bad endings, I''m sure to survive, there''s no need for-
"The game!?"(Stella)
"W-well I-"(Lydia)
"Oh right! hahaha, "the game"."(Stella)
"..."(Lydia)
"DON''T SCREW WITH ME!"(Stella)
"Waugh!?"(Lydia)
I was startled by her sudden change in demeanor, she was furious, the soothing aura she had suddenly turned menacing, the feeling I had from the king couldn''t compare to this.
The reason was obvious, unlike the king, her anger, her rage was directed towards me.
"Hahaha, how could I forget!?"(Stella)
Laughing as she looked towards the sky, she suddenly faced towards my direction, and like that-
"Uwah!?"(Lydia)
-I was sent flying.
But unlike last time, I actually crashed into multiple pillars, flying in a straight line and finally crashing into a pond.
My entire body was aching, I was lucky to have landed on a shallow area since I couldn''t really swim.
I could still move even with the pain, this really is a dream world.
"THIS-IS-NOT-A-GAME!!!!"(Stella)
"Akh!!"(Lydia)
I felt like a hammer fell on my head, as she suddenly appeared before me, once again pointing her hand towards my direction.
"Kiiiiiiiiiiiiii!!!!!!!!!!!!!"(Lydia)
I was trembling in fear, running won''t do anything, and I don''t even know how I came here in the first place.
I closed my eyes, bracing myself for the impact.
But nothing happened.
"Huh?"(Lydia)
I opened my eyes, Stella was looking at something behind me.
Turning around, the pond I fell into was missing, like it wasn''t there in the first place.
What I saw was a mirror, with a gold frame filled with designs, it was a simple one commonly used by nobles.
But it currently had ripples on it, which slowly disappeared.
"Tell me Lydia, what do you see?"(Stella)
???
"H-huh? W-well I can see myself."(Lydia)
Light green, curled hair with a tiara filled with gems.
Yellowish, round eyes befitting of a 5-year-old, it had a small tint of red in the center.
I wore a black dress, like a Gothic Lolita outfit, similar to most of my clothes.
It had a golden pattern for design, and there was no jewel embedded on the clothing.
A case of literary theft: this tale is not rightfully on Amazon; if you see it, report the violation.
"DON''T FUCK WITH ME!"(Stella)
!?
"W-what''s your problem!?"(Lydia)
"LOOK! Tell me what you fucking see!"(Stella)
It felt like my head''s going to blow out of pressure, I submissively answered in a frightened tone.
"G-green hai-"(Lydia)
"YOUR HAIR''S BLACK!"(Stella)
...
...huh?
"What are you-"(Lydia)
"Stop denying it! You''ve already noticed since long ago! The influence you''ve brought to this child''s body!"(Stella)
I once again looked at the mirror.
The curled, green hair I''ve been seeing everyday wasn''t there, no, I knew it since long ago, it was never there.
Black eyes, black hair, the color of my hair, and my eyes.
"You already knew since long ago, you just couldn''t accept it, this isn''t like the game, you only used being "Lydia" as an excuse to have such an attitude."(Stella)
I didn''t face her direction even while she''s talking, I was looking at my own reflection, trembling in silence.
"..."(Lydia)
"You''re a coward, making such an excuse, using it whenever someone despises you, escaping from the reality that the rotten one is you."(Stella)
"I- no! I''m not-"(Lydia)
The image in the mirror reverted back to the original 5-year-old Lydia.
"!?"(Lydia)
"That isn''t you, she''s the original one owning this body."(Stella)
The "Lydia" in the mirror ran towards her direction as she spoke.
"Your original form, who you actually are, can now be seen as a reflection."(Stella)
As she said that, my feet suddenly went numb, causing me to fall on the floor.
Looking at the mirror, I saw a black haired, 16 year old girl covered in blood.
She- no, I was crying.
"This child here beside me is the original owner of this body, we''re merely thieves that stole it from her."(Stella)
"..."(Lydia)
"I understand what you''ve been through, but what''s done is done."(Stella)
She said that as she stared at me with pity.
Those same fucking eyes I''ve grown sick of.
Those eyes that have surrounded me, locked me for my entire life.
"What''s done is done? WHAT''S DONE IS DONE!?"(Lydia)
The ground trembled as I said that, I wasn''t surprised at the sudden earthquake, why would I? I caused it myself.
But she wasn''t fazed one bit, her pitiful eyes continued in piercing my chest as it started getting painful.
"I will kick you out of this body."(Lydia)
"Go ahead."(Stella)
I- w-what?
"Huh? What do you mean by that?"(Lydia)
I was stunned at her sudden answer, the earth stopped shaking and the"Lydia" trembling behind her calmed down.
"Have you never thought of how this body survived with three people within, with three mana cores?"(Stella)
Mana cores, an orb-like shaped container placed at the same position of the heart.
It houses the person''s entire mana, connects to the entire body, allowing the physical body to function, in this world of magic.
In this world of magic, everything needs mana to exist, and to live one needs a mana core.
"Th-then..."(Lydia)
"I''m the only reason we''re currently alive, I decelerated the fusing of our mana cores, if I didn''t do so, we would''ve died since long ago."(Stella)
*crack*
What the hell is it this time!?
"Shit."(Stella)
Cracks appeared at both the ground and sky, as the entire place started vanishing.
"What the hell is happening!?"(Lydia)
"They''ve noticed"(Stella)
*crack* *crack*
They?
"Listen here, I don''t have much time left but remember this-
*crack* *crack* *crack*
-do not trust the gods."
...
...
...
Opening my eyes, I wondered whether it was just a dream.
Standing up and facing the mirror, tears started to form.
Locking my door, I spent the entire day crying.
(Author note-I''m sick!!![too much chocolate >,<, I''m not to blame, it''s all-you-can-eat!]
-because of that, I''m not sure of how the chapter turned out, I''ll just re-check it tomorrow
-I can see the light!
-I like it when you''re confused :3
-another side story incoming!!!!
-Subtle hint: sidestory)
Chapter 8: Plans for the Future
It was the day before the tea party, I apparently woke up after 2 days of being unconscious.
The day after that, yesterday, was spent inside my room.
After finally calming down the second time I woke up, I cleaned up the traces of tears and blood on my face.
I never realized when tears stopped flowing and blood started pouring from my eyes.
I once again looked at the mirror, but unlike last time, I feel rather calm after seeing my own reflection.
[Yo.]
[W-what!?]
I drew back from the mirror, surprised at the sudden image of a girl flying behind me in the reflection, I stumbled and fell.
Looking behind, there wasn''t any such person.
It''s probably just my imagination...
[Like hell it is!]
...or not.
She really is different from the original Stella, and by that I mean worse.
[Oi I can hear you!]
[If you could talk to me like this, why did you even make that dimension in the first place!?]
[Oh! There''s a reason for that.]
[And what reason could that be?]
I asked that as I changed my clothes while looking at the mirror.
[You see, ever since "we" were born, I had to focus on our three mana cores, making sure we won''t die.]
[Unlike "someone" who did whatever she wanted.]
[Tsk.]
[Creating that dimension was difficult, but it served for two purposes.]
[One is allowing me to speed up the process, allowing me to talk with you like this.]
[The other one is to give you that warning.]
She winked as she told me that.
["That", huh.]
I combed my hair as I spoke with her.
[With those questions answered, we can finally start planning.]
[Wait you haven''t even planned yet!?]
She''s really worse than I thought.
[You know I can hear you right? And this is mostly your fault you know?]
[How is this my fault!?]
I was planning to tie my hair, but gave up on the thought and left it straight.
[Anyways, our first action will be for tomorrow.]
[The tea party, huh.]
With all the noble children attending, it''s a perfect place to make connections.
[But we have to deal with our first problem at hand.]
[Huh? And what the hell could that be?]
[You.]
!?
[W-what!? How could I be a problem!?]
[Tell me, other than your self-imposed attitude, how have you talked with other people?]
[Isn''t that obvious!? I...uh]
...
The story has been illicitly taken; should you find it on Amazon, report the infringement.[...uh]
...
Shit.
The only person I remember actually talking to in my previous life was my friend, and we mostly just played games together.
[That''s why you should try avoiding conversation with people who have huge influences in the future.]
[...]
[And never get close with royalty.]
I nodded while thinking about the events that happen in the game, even if this world isn''t the same from the one I''ve played, many events that have occurred are similar to the ones in the game.
Like that event.
[Stella.]
[Hm?]
[When I reach nine years old...]
[...]
["That" happens right?]
[...Yeah.]
[Can I prevent it from happening?]
[Unfortunately, no.]
[But-]
[That''d be the same as putting or lives at risk.]
[What you''re saying, isn''t that basically the same as my previous attitude?]
[I am you after all. Oh, time''s up, we''ll talk again next week.]
After saying that, a knock from the door suddenly resounded throughout the room.
Opening the door, my personal maid, Nora, could be seen standing right in front of it.
"Good morning milady."(Nora)
She said that in a rather cold tone, as she bowed in a dignified manner.
"I''m very sorry for disturbing you, but breakfast has been prepared in the garden."(Nora)
"N-no it''s all right, I wasn''t really doing anything so..."(Lydia)
She suddenly stood straight as I said that, with her eyes wider than it usually is.
She seems surprised for some reason.
"M-milady, are you alright?"(Nora)
"Y-yes I am, l-let''s just go to the garden already."(Lydia)
I don''t know how I look, but I''m sure I''m sweating like crazy!
Can''t I just be a shut-in for life?
The thought came to me but in this world, such a thing can only be a dream.
And dreaming of such a thing can only plant dangerous flags, so I focused on the current problem.
Socializing sucksss!!!!!!!!!
(Author Note-yeah the chapter''s short, my head was aching the entire day so I just forced this one in
-[then what about the new series?] It''s isn''t a serious one, so I don''t have to think much when typing
-there has yet been any plot hole (a really good hint for you guys ;3 )
-I do drugs!!!(for my sickness of course)
-depending on whether I get better or worse, will be the basis for the speed of my releases (which is ironic for my username)
-side story will now be every 5 chapters! cuz'' it reveals way too much info)
Current Characters (Not a chapter)
