Three angels floated in mid air as they cast their stare down at one single mortal. This mortal was the mother of the child that the angels refused to accept. "Why... Why won''t you accept my son?!" The mother screamed in desperation at the angels but the angels did not flinch or feel moved by those very words. "Is my son not pure enough?! Why won''t you take my son!!" The mother screamed more but the glow of the angels slowly disappeared and so did the angels themselves leaving the mother crying on the cold hard soil. Off in the distance from the mother was a single basket. Inside the basket was the child of the mother. Unknown to what was happening, this very child was rejected by the angels. Casting a gaze at the child, the goddess of death loomed over the child and smiled at him. "Soon... You will be mine to claim. The one I shall claim as my husband." Touching the child''s fore*head, the goddess left her mark. From that day on the child was claimed by the goddess of death. ___________ Fifteen years later It has been around fifteen years since the day that Lucca was abandon by his mother. As a infant, his mother left him in the middle of the Deruma Forest. It was in the middle of the night with the cold harsh rain pouring down. The infant''s cries echoed through the forest as he was noticed by a Magical Beast. A Grand Bear to be exact. The Grand Bear took the infant back to her Den. The bear''s name was Mother B and she name the infant Lucca. Mother B raised Lucca with love and care for fifteen years. Now Lucca was the age of fifteen. He grew to the height of five foot six inches. His dark brown hair reached the bottom of his neck as it slightly curled at the ends. His eyes were the color of green with hints of blue in them. If you were to say how he looked in terms of looks, you would say he looked like a cute boy. His face was slightly baby face but it was mostly mature. The rest of his body wasn''t lanky instead it was skinny. This is what Lucca came to look like after all those years. Lucca was currently reading a book under the great mana tree as his siblings chased each other nearby playing tag. At first his siblings wanted to listen to Lucca read his book out loud but they soon got bored rather quickly and decided to play instead. Lucca wasn''t even reading the book to begin with. He had little interest in the book in his hands. He just couldn''t put it down because he would never hear the end of it if Mother B she found out. "Lucca! Lucca! Come play with us!" "No I have to finish this book or Mother B will get "-Lucca "But books are boring! I can never understand them..." "Yeah yeah! So stop reading and play with us!" "What Jeyja said!" The small animals exclaimed as they pulled on his clothes. Lucca just sighed and gave in. Putting down his book slowly and looking around the surroundings carefully. He leaned in and whispered softly. "Okay fine, a small break wouldn''t be so bad."-Luccca Lucca chuckled and the small animals cheered. Out of nowhere, a roar came from the bushes. Lucca knew what this roar belonged to and that made his hair stand on end. It was Mother B. "Hey! Children! Why are you bothering Lucca when he is studing!!"-Mother B Mother B came from behind the bushes and stared down the small animals. The small animals panicked at Mother B appearing and ran away in a chaotic manner. "I swear. If it wasn''t for the fact of those children being newborns then they would be working right now."-Mother B Mother B snorted and walked slowly to Lucca. "And why haven''t you finished the book yet? You been on that book for a couple days now!"-Mother B Mother B roared at Lucca as Lucca hastily scrambled to get back to reading. Mother B then proceeded to scold Lucca for a full hour before giving up because she noticed her child wasn''t listening. Mother B sighed and laid down next the Lucca to keep an eye on him. Mother B for a Magical Beast was very intelligent. Her Species in this world are be able to fight grade C adventures. Though the world has grand bears down as a savage Magical Beast, most Grand Bears are intelligent beings. In fact the reason why so many Grand Bears live to this day is due to their intelligence. From a young age, Mother B taught everything she knew to Lucca but here was a problem that was slowly creeping on Mother B. She just sat there as she stared at the leaves moving slowly by the wind. "Mother B?"-Lucca "...mmh?"-Mother B "Are you feeling okay? You are just staring into space?"-Lucca "Oh don''t worry child. Mother is fine. Just thinking on when to let you go to the town."- Mother B Lucca flinched at these words. The town. This place was where Lucca''s people gathered and lived. Of course he knew this but it didn''t mean he wanted to go there. The forest was a home to him for many years and he could hardly part from Mother B and the rest of his family here. Though his mother keeps bring it up, Lucca always finds a way to avoid the topic. So Lucca took his book and shoved it in front of her face as he pointed at a random word. "Oh Mother B, what does this word mean?"-Lucca "Mmm? Of this one? This is a word used to defi- Oy. Lucca, you''re not trying to distract me right now are you?"-Mother B "Oh... Whatever do you mean Mother B?"-Lucca A small drop of sweat fell from Lucca''s head as he tries to look away from Mother B but Mother B stares deeply at Lucca. "Lucca. I know you hate it when I bring up the town but the town is where you a supposed to be in the future. You can''t live in the forest anymore."-Mother B "But why can''t I! I grew up here and my family is here plus you''re here Mother B!"-Lucca "My child, the forest is not where you belong. Please listen to mother."-Mother B "No! I will not go to any town! I will stay with Mother B and everyone!"-Lucca Lucca exclaimed as he got up and ran away from Mother B. Mother B watched her child leave and sighed deeply with her eyes getting softer. Sooner or later Mother B won''t be able to protect Lucca and that thought frightened Mother B. At least if he found good people in the town then maybe her child could be safe. She could only hope that he child will change his mind. Lucca with his head pounding kept running in the same direction till he reached the river. Exhausted from running, Lucca bends his head down into the river to cool off. "Mother... I never want to leave you... or the others..."-Lucca Lucca slowly grumbles as he washed his face in the river. After he was done, he sat crossed legged by the rivers side and just watched the river go by. Memories flooded his mind of the times he went to this exact river with Mother B. He smiled softly when one particular memory came up. This memory was when he was eight years old. Riding the back of Mother B, Lucca was barely awake. It was a usual routine for Mother B to take Lucca to the river and drop him into it so he could wake up. One day when she took him to the river she never knew that Lucca was in fact awake and not asleep. When Mother B was getting ready to throw Lucca in the river, Lucca got off Mother B in mid turn and pushed her into the river. Lucca could not stop laughing as Mother B yelled at Lucca but then Mother B joined in the laughter. Lucca loved that moment because it was the first time seeing his mother laugh for so long. As he lost himself in his thoughts, Lucca didn''t move from the exact spot for a couple hours. Now the sun was going down and the light around the river was slowly going away. Lucca was suddenly shaken back into reality when he heard a big roar coming from the south. Startled, Lucca turned around and stared back into the forest. That roar sounded like Mother B. But it wasn''t her usual roar... It was a cry of pain! Lucca rushed into the forest to the source of the sound in haste till he came upon a sight. In the middle of the clearing was Mother B but she was surrounded by other humans. Mother B was currently limping on her left front paw and was breathing heavily. By the looks of the ground, Mother B managed to take out four humans but three still stood strong as they prepared their weapons with caution. Mother B roared as she brought a swing down with her left paw towards the human on the left but the human dodged and the one on the right tried to stab at Mother B with his spear. But Mother B saw this and charged at the one in the middle, avoiding the spear and ramming into the human with the daggers. Getting hit by Mother B, the human got flung towards a tree that was nearby and was knocked out. The human with the spear cursed and yelled while charging a mother B with his spear. The other human yelled at the man to stop his attack but was to late has Mother B dodged the spear and chomped down on the mans arm. Taking her jaw, she twirled the man in small circles before slamming him down on the ground, breaking his bones completely. Watching this scene unfold, the last human screamed as she dropped her sword and ran the opposite direction. Lucca confirmed all of the human where gone when he finally ran to aid Mother B. It was a rule that Mother B placed on Lucca just in case she got into a fight. "Mother B!"- Lucca "Oh my child... Thank god you''re safe..." Breathing heavily, Mother B stared at her child with eyes filled with joy. She was grateful for her childs safety. But she knew that she wouldn''t last much longer. "Lucca... Mother doesn''t have much time left..."-Mother B "No mother... You can''t go!"- Lucca "I have no choice my child..."-Mother B Mother B winced in pain as Lucca started to shed tears. Looking at this Mother B''s eyes filled with sorrow. "Don''t cry my child... You still have your family... They will always be there for you... But promise me one thing..."- Mother B "W.. What is it mother..?"- Lucca "Go to the town... and live my child... please..."-Mother B "But mother..."-Lucca "Plea...Please my ch..."-Mother B Mother B couldn''t say the last of her words as the last of her breath escaped from her. Her eyes became pale in light and she was moving no more. At that moment Lucca cried. He clung to his mothers lifeless corpse and cried deeply into her fur. Lucca shouted in pain as He cursed at the skies. His mind was racing with thoughts. He hated those humans. He hated all the humans. Humans are evil. He chanted this nonstop in his mind as his family members surrounded him. They huddled around him as the whole family cried for the lost of Mother B. Night soon fell as fast as the next day came. At this point Lucca''s mind wasn''t filled with his hatred towards other humans. He just sat there remembering all the moments he had with his mother. That''s when his mothers words appeared in his mind. What Mother B wanted wasn''t for Lucca to stay in the forest but to live in town. He was confused why she kept saying go to the town but now... Now he knew why she wanted him to go. He would be safer in the town than here in the forest. So he decided to head towards the town but that doesn''t mean he trusted humans. "Mother... I will go to the village... And I will live my life..." -Lucca Wiping his face, Lucca with the help of his family buried Mother B. Making a small grave for her, Lucca made one final goodbye and parted from his mother for the very first time. He went to the direction of the town with the guidance of his family members. _____________________ Lucca''s family members followed him and they traveled for three days. His mind was raging with thoughts of revenge on the humans that killed Mother B. On the second night of the trip to the town, the family stopped by a small cave on the side of a river. It was a small peaceful place to stop. Lucca was keeping watch at the foot of the cave for the rest of the family members as he felt tired from all that walking. He wanted to get to the town soon because he wanted to get revenge as quickly as he could. Lucca broke sticks with his bare hands till suddenly he heard a small foot step approach. He turned around and found a member of his family coming near him. It was Grandpa Ten. Grandpa Ten was the elder of the family and lead it. He choose to follow Lucca to make sure he was safe. Grandpa Ten was a Magical Beast called Tenured. They apparently lived for many years and seemed to be full of wisdom. To humans, Tenured where just small rats that would never die unless you shot it with an arrow. But they where very deadly fast. Grandpa Ten settle down next to Lucca and put his feet in the river. "So much walking. Phwooaah. That feels great."-Grandpa Ten If you encounter this tale on Amazon, note that it''s taken without the author''s consent. Report it. "Not going to sleep Grandpa Ten?"-Lucca "No my child, I am here to talk to you about a few things."-Grandpa Ten Grandpa Ten started to tell Lucca some certain things. He didn''t want Lucca spreading the information of where Lucca came from or how he got to the city. He wanted to keep Lucca safe. Lucca understood this and agreed to Grandpa Ten. "Also child. I hope you didn''t forget what your mother always told you."-Grandpa Ten "Told me?"-Lucca "Remember when you asked you mother if you should treat humans like we do?"-Grandpa Ten "Yes Grandpa. I remember remember what she saying over and over again."-Lucca "Then do you remember what she said?"-Granda Ten "That I should never judged a person till I know..."-Lucca Lucca stopped himself from talking and let the words he was about to sink in his mind. Why did mother say try to trust the humans... Humans are the ones who killed her! They are evil! Lucca''s face warped with rage as he stared down at the river. "My child, you need to remember that your other didn''t want you to hate humans. She wanted you to get along with them for your own future. Promise me and promise your other that you will never hate humans. Get to know them and understand them first. You are our kind boy and we never want you to stop being that kind boy."-Grandpa Ten Grandpa Ten tugged on Lucca''s shirt so he turned his to look at Grandpa Ten. Grandpa Ten was currently crying. Not because of the pain of Mother B dying. Not because the fact that Lucca was leaving the family. It was because Lucca was changing. Lucca saw his grandpa cry and his face shattered. He grasped his grandpa and started to cry too. So it wasn''t the fact that the humans was the race that killed my mother or because my mother was taken by humans. The reason why I started to hate humans was because I hate the humans that killed mother. What mother was telling me was not to hate the humans but try to understand them better. So I can trust them. Lucca finally realized what his mother and grandpa were trying to tell him all this time. If Lucca felt safe around another human then he could trust them. Wiping his tears, Lucca looked up at the stares. "Don''t worry grandpa. I will keep my promise with you and mother." "Good boy." The rest of that night, the two of them slept side by side till it was time to move on. ____________________________ It took Lucca and his family three days till they finally found the exit to the forest. The view of the town came into place and so did the mountains. Lucca reached the town after three days of walking. His family members watched his back as he stared at the town. "Lucca." "Oh Grandpa Ten"- Lucca "So you are sure you want to leave the forest"-Grandpa Ten "Yes Grandpa Ten. I will do as my mother wished for me."- Lucca "Mmm okay then take this."-Grandpa Ten Taking a little rucksack from another family member, Grandpa Ten threw the small sack to Lucca. Lucca puzzled by this sack looked in the bag. He found a couple copper colored coins and a few silver ones but the rest of the bag was a huge amount of gold ones. "Take this. You need money to live in that town."-Granpda Ten "But Grandpa Ten! I can''t take this!"-Lucca "Don''t worry about it. Besides us magical beast can''t even use the money so it''s only better if you kept it. Besides knowing that you had money makes the rest of the family feel at peace."-Grandpa Ten "Then thank you!"-Lucca Lucca bowed to his family and they returned with laughter. The smallest of the family members pushed their way to the front. "Lucca do you really have to go..." "Yeah it won''t be fun with out you..." "If you leave then all the good looking boys will be gone..." "OY! What do you mean by that!?" All the children started to argue as Lucca just chuckled. He rubbed the heads of each one of them and turned his back. "I will visit one day. But for now I must live like my mother told me to!"-Lucca Without looking back and continuing to walk. His family members with tears in their eyes wished him farewell. But Lucca also had tears in his eyes has he walked away. What a lovely family. Finally reaching the gate to the City, Lucca noticed a line forming in front of the gate. Inspecting the line, it appeared it be a line to enter the city. Lucca remembered his talking about one these and quickly join it. As time passed, the line slowly diminished till finally Lucca was next to go in the city. "ID Please"-Guard "ID?"-Lucca "Yes ID. To enter the city you need an ID?"- Guard The guard was starting to get annoyed with Lucca as Lucca started to panic. "I don''t have an ID..." "Don''t have an ID... Must of lost it then."-Guard The guard sighed and called one of his subordinates to bring on over an item. This item was a small crystal ball the was covered by a small piece of cloth. "Touch this stone. If the stone flashes white then you are innocent and allowed in the city. But if the stone turns red... Then you will sent to our office for questioning."-Guard Slowly placing his hand on the stone, the stone started to glow white. The guard gives back the crystal to his subordinate and returns back to Lucca. "Okay we before we can let you in we need two last things. Since you don''t have an ID then you have to tell us your name and you have to pay a price of three coppers." "My name is Lucca and why do I have to pay the price?" "Because if you had an ID you wouldn''t need to pay the price but since you lost it, you have to pay the toll instead which is used for slaves." "Oh okay then here." Lucca handed over three copper coins and the guard smiled. "Pleasure doing business with you. But if you cause trouble in my city, you will be hearing from me you hear?" "Sir yes sir!" "Good. Then you are allowed to enter."-Guard With that Lucca entered the city for the very first time. ___________________ The wide view of the city spread in front of Lucca and it took his breath away. It made him stand still in awe as he stared. Unknowing that he stopped, people around him started to give him weird stares. "Hey you!" "Huh?"- Lucca "Why are you just standing there?" Lucca turned around to the source of the voice to find that it belonged to girl. She looked like she was five feet tall and red hair sprawled down her shoulders. Her face was kinda cute as it had a small birth mark just under her left eye. This was the first time Lucca has ever seen a girl. She was pretty so Lucca couldn''t stop staring at her. Lucca couldn''t keep his eyes from looking at certain areas too. "What is it? It''s like you never seen a girl before." "Ah..No..I mean yes I have seen a girl before!"-Lucca "You''re weird... Anyways, new to the town?" "Yeah. My first day to be honest."-Lucca "Well there is not much to do here except the local dungeon and the guilds. You missed the festival from last week." "Guilds?"-Lucca " Yeah guilds. There''s the Adventures Guild, Warriors Guild, Mage Guild, Merchants Guild, and then there is the Scholar guild. But no one really goes to the Scholar guild." Pondering on what to do, Lucca decided looking at these guilds might be a good thing for him to do. "Then I should check out one of these guilds"-Lucca "Want me to lead you around? I can take a break from my work." "Are you sure?" "Yeah no problem. HEY MOM! Going to take a break!" The girl shouted in side the building she was standing in front of it. After getting a shout back she took off her apron and walked towards me. "Okay I can go. Oh by the way, I''m Rise. Rise Everhart."-Rise This girl didn''t seem to bad. He didn''t feel any harm coming from her so he smiled. "I''m Lucca."-Lucca "You don''t have a last name?"-Rise Rise gave Lucca a weird look. Lucca then pondered for a few seconds then finally came up with a last name. "Lucca M. Bear"-Lucca "Bear huh? Weird name but my last name isn''t better."-Rise Rise started to laugh as she took Luca''s hand. "Let''s go!"-Rise Leading the away, Rise ran while holding Lucca''s hand. Lucca new to this sensation started to feel red in the face. Of course Rise never noticed. The buildings of the city flew past as they went down the main street in the city. There was stalls and people chattering about. Lucca took it all in as he stared in awe. After a while of running, Rise stopped in front of a building that seemed to be huge. "Here''s the Adventures Guild. People who go here take up request from the town or the guild. They are more like a season travels guild."-Rise Lucca stared at the big building with the giant sign on it. In and out a wave of people rushed as if in a hurry. Lucca was not pleased by this sight and didn''t want to enter. "You want to go in?"-Rise "No... I think I rather not enter that place."-Lucca "Okay then lets go to the Warriors Guild."-Rise Rise got excited when she said that and took his hand again while running. After a few minutes of running they finally enter a more calm street with guards standing guard in front of one building. This building was pure white and stood four stories from the ground. From behind the building you can hear the shouts and hacking of swords. "This is the Warriors Guild! If you want to become a man then you join the Warriors Guild. All the guards are part of the Warriors Guild and a major part of the Adventures Guild''s members are part of the Warriors guild."-Rise Rise said this with her eyes sparkling. "What do you do in the Warriors Guild? Do you swing around sword and stuff?"-Lucca "You mainly train your body to be that of a warrior while you also have a strict discipline. Of all so you must be able to fight to protect your self and the ones you cherish." A voice came behind the two. Turning around, Rise face went into full smile has she rushed towards the figure. "Daddy!"-Rise "Hello Pumpkin. What are you doing here?" "Taking Lucca around the town. He''s new so I thought to show him the guilds."-Rise "Ahh I see." Rise''s dad examined Lucca carefully then gave a grin. Lucca awkwardly smiled at the man. "I think you will do grand in the Warriors Guild." "Does it involve fighting?"-Lucca "Well you got to be able to protect you self and your loved ones right?" "Then I got to decline for now..."-Lucca It''s not like Lucca didn''t want to learn. He just didn''t feel like learning it right now. "Okay. Then if you ever want to join then come to me and I will give a good word to my guild leader." "Thank you."-Lucca Lucca bowed while Rise''s dad chuckled. "No need to be so reserved. Oh and the names Borick. Borick Everhart."-Borick "Lucca M. Bear is my name sir Borick."-Lucca "Borick is fine my boy. Now you keep my little girl safe while she is out and about with you. And Rise pumpkin, please come home before dark."-Borick "But dad! I am not a baby!"-Rise Rise pouted at her father as he chuckled more while ruffling her hair. Taking Lucca''s hand, Rise ran away from her father. "Come on Lucca, let''s go!"-Rise "Make sure to be home early Pumpkin! And keep her safe Lucca!"-Borick Borick shouted at them as they left. Rise face was filled with embarrassment. Lucca awkwardly laughed till Rise finally noticed she was going the wrong way. Continuing on from the point that Rise knew that was the right way, the two of them ended in front of the Scholars Guild. Of course Rise didn''t look to happy about showing this particular guild. "This is the Scholars guild... Rarely anyone joins this guild so there is only one member. Some crazy old man that keeps going on about the gods. Saying the gods are making us their play things."-Rise Rise face distorted by those words and she sighed. "Crazy old man doesn''t know we respect the gods here. That''s why most people stay away from him."-Rise "I see."-Lucca Lucca stared at the building with its simple wooden door and small garden in front of it. For some some reason he was pulled to this guild. Something about it was calling him to the guild. Walking to the front door, he put his hand on the door''s handle and slightly opened the door. The soft air pushed past his face, leaving the scent of old books. "Lucca. Are you sure you want to go in there?"-Rise "I don''t know... But I feel like giving it a look."-Lucce "Then I won''t go in with you. I can''t stand that guy."-Rise Rise pouted. Lucca didn''t even give it a second thought. He quickly entered the building while quickly saying be right back leaving Rise dumb folded. This is part of Lucca''s life is were magic started to influence his life. Blessing of New Goddess Chapter 2[Re-edited] Okay Chapter Two! This one was fun to rewrite to be honest. For those readers who have read this chapter before well now you''re going to enjoy it a little more. For new readers , I hope you enjoy it just as much as I did. Like always Comment, Give advice, and Ask questions~ I hope you enjoy reading the chapter and thank you for reading~! _________________________________________________ The sun crept through the window as the rays shined down on the many bookshelves. Hints of candle wax stained the air as the dust crept all over the tables The books for the shelves layered the floor like giant pile of mess. Walking forward, Lucca took a deep breath in. This area reminded him of home. The den that his mother kept with all her books. This place brought peace to Lucca. He closed his eyes as he remembered that times he shared with his mother as she read books to him as a child. He smiled as a small tear seeped out of his right eye. "Mother..."-Lucca Out of nowhere, a loud bang came from behind Lucca. Turning around in shock, Lucca found a pile of books that fell from an knocked over bookshelf. Lucca stared at the pile as it started to groan. Lucca walked towards the pile and lifted up a book from the pile only to reveal the face of an very old man. His face was covered entirely by a white beard as his eye brows were thick with white air. There was barely any hair on the top of his head but the sides resisted the side effects of old age. This old man was stuck under a pile of books. "So Sonny... Can you do an old man a favor and pull him out?" Lucca smiling awkwardly while he picked books off the pile till he was able to pull the old man out of the pile. The old man was actually quite small so that could be the reason why the pressure from the pile of books made him unable to move. Getting up and dusting him self off, he turned around and got a good look at Lucca. "I have to thank you Sonny, If you didn''t help this old man then I would have died because I couldn''t move. So what are you doing here sonny?" "Ahh I just came here to check the guild."-Lucca Lucca just stared at the little old man. But the little old man just smiled back at Lucca as he started to pick up the books. "I don''t get many visitors. Every one in this god forsaken town thinks I am crazy." Lucca continued to stare but came back to his senses so he started to helping by picking up the books too "Thanks sonny. This old man can''t work like he used too." After some time passed, all the books where picked up and the self was back in its place. Finally done, the little old man took the nearest chair and sat down. He all so beckoned Lucca to seat down on the chair next to him. Doing so, Lucca sat down and continued to stare at the little old man. "So. Why is it you came here sonny? Is there something this old can do for you?" "Oh. I just wanted to see the Scholars guild."-Lucca "Oh you wanted to see the Scholars guild huh? Well let this old man tell you about this guild then." The little old man explained the purpose of the guild and the many wonders and achievements that it brings to this world. He explained that every scholar was made to change the world down to a historical level. He even explained his achievements and this made Lucca''s eyes shine. "Ohohoh so you see the power of the Scholars Guild!" "Yes yes! It''s so wonderful."-Lucca "Yes indeed the Scholars guild is amazing guild that only a select few can join. In fact the only members in the Scholars guild are members of the court for certain kingdoms. Well excluding me of course." "Wow! Now I want to join!"-Lucca "And most people rar- wait. Did you say you want to join?" "Yes! Master please guide me in the way of the Scholar!"-Lucca Lucca stared at the little old man with eyes of expectation. The little old man was taken back by Lucca''s actions but laughed with vigor. "Okay my dear boy! Then let this old man see your ID card so we can get started on your entry!" "Oh... ID Card?"-Lucca "You don''t have an ID Card?" The little old man was again taken back. Lucca quickly made an excuse. "I lost it long ago."-Lucca "Mmm... Then just means we will need to get you a new one." "A new one?"-Lucca "Yes the church can reissue a new ID. Of course after the second time, it will start to cost money. How many times have you lost your ID?" "Just once."-Lucca "Then you won''t have a problem getting the next one free from the church. You know where the church is right?" "I just came to this town today."-Lucca "Okay. Then let this old man guide you to the church." "Ok- Ah!"-Lucca Lucca remembered Rise was still waiting outside the guild for him. Running outside the guild, Rise was standing next to the door with her arms crossed while pouting. "Lucca! You made me wait!"-Rise "Sorry Rise...But I think I will join the Scholars Guild."-Lucca "Scholars Guild huh... Then I guess you won''t need me to guide you anywhere right?"-Rise "Yes thank you for everything!"-Lucca Lucca bowed and Rise giggled. "Don''t worry! Just make sure you spend money at my families inn!"-Rise "Inn? Okay!"-Lucca "Also Lucca"-Rise Rise leaned in and whispered in a small voice. She made sure that no one can hear her voice. "Be careful of that old man okay? If anything happens, you tell me and I will get my dad to arrest that old man."-Rise "Ah... Okay Rise. Thank you."-Lucca "Remember to come by the inn you hear!"-Rise Waving, Rise ran back to the guild why Lucca waved goodbye to her. It felt like he made his first friend which made him happy inside. "Ohohoh. It must be nice to be young." Commented the old man. Lucca jumped at his voice. "What is that supposed to mean master?"-Lucca " Oh nothing my boy~" The old man whistled and slowly took his bag. "Okay my boy lets go!" "Yes Master!"-Lucca "Ahh! Silly old me! I never told you my name." The old man stopped moving and turned around to face Lucca. "My name is Noel V. Talon. Founder of teleporting arts and the master of Space Magic!"-Noel "Wow! Space magic!"-Lucca "Yes Space magic."-Noel "Whats Space Magic...?"-Lucca Noel almost slipped while he walked when he heard this. "Never heard of Space Magic? Have you heard of any other magic?"-Noel Lucca shok his head. Noel was surprised by this but he calmed down. Noel started to explain the different types of magic to Lucca. Starting from the most basic forms of elemental magic there are: Fire Water Earth Wind Light Dark Each of these elemental magics branch off in different magic branches. Under the Fire Elemental: Inferno Magic Energy Magic Under Water Elemental: Ice Magic Defense Magic Under Earth Elemental: Terra Magic Gravity Magic Under Wind Elemental: Storm Magic Destruction Magic Under Light Elemental: Healing Magic Blessing Magic Under Dark Elemental: Space Magic Summoning Magic "Every living being in this world has a affinity with at least one element in this world."-Noel "But Master, if you knew magic then why are you not part of the Mages Guild?"-Lucca "Because the Mages Guild is not made to find and study different types of magic but to train mages to harness their power and learn new spells for combat."-Noel "So a Scholar studies magic?"-Lucca "Yes! And we find new magic too!"-Noel "Wow amazing!"-Lucca Noel proudly smirked as he finally lead Lucca to the church. Noel stopped five feet from the entrance as Lucca continued to proceed towards the doors. "Okay go in there and ask the nun to for a new ID."-Noel "You''re not coming with me master?"-Lucca "A ID should only be done with the person themselves or with their family. And besides, this towns church is not very fond of my presence. I can not go with you. But Master will wait out here for you."-Noel "Okay Master then I will be right back!"-Lucca Lucca bowed to Noel and entered the building. Noel stroked his beard softly as he chuckled. "What an interesting child."-Noel As Lucca entered the building, Lucca looked around the building for a nun but there was nothing but benches and colored windows. This would be the first time he has been to a church. The colors of the windows pictured the many gods of this realm. In awe, Lucca stared at the windows till someone softly called his name. But of course he didn''t notice. "Um.. Sir...Sir...Sir!" Screamed the nun that was staring at him. Lucca jumped at the sudden shout and looked around till his eyes fallen upon a small nun. This nun was different from other people he met. She had blonde curly hair with emerald blue eyes. Her face was so beautiful, just like a doll but her clothes where also weird to Lucca. But of course the one thing that popped out to Lucca was her body. He could see valleys that conquered the earth. If Rise was a melon, then this nun was a watermelon. He couldn''t keep his eyes off. "Um.. Sir... May I ask why you''re here sir...?" "Mmh? Oh yes!"-Lucca Lucca straightened his back and stopped staring at the magnificent watermelons. "I-I''m here for a new ID"-Lucca "Ah. Then is this your first time losing your ID?" You might be reading a pirated copy. Look for the official release to support the author. "Yes. It''s my first time losing my ID."-Lucca "Okay sir please come this way." The nun lead Lucca to the back of the church and to a stairway. Up the stairway, the came down a corridor. Leading Lucca further, the nun stopped on the third door to the right. Taking him in, she instructed him to sit down while she got the necessary equipment. After waiting a few moments, the nun came back with a small statue and a black card. "This is the Goddess of Light, Helion." Placing the statue in front of Lucca, she showed him the black card. "This card is your ID. Since the start of this year, the ID card has got an upgrade. Lucky you." The nun smiled at Lucca and Lucca just rubbed the back of his head. "Take your hand and place it on the statue. Once you do that, pray to the gods. I will then place the card in your other hand. Your ID will be created once you are done praying." Doing as the nun told him, Lucca placed his hand on the statue and closed his eyes to pray. His mother told him many humans did this thing could praying to the gods. Though he never done it before in his life. His mother made sure for him to practice the parts just in case he had to go into the world of humans. A flash of light appeared around Lucca as the nun placed the card in his other hand. Time was stopped in the mortal world. Stopping time, the gods started to talk. "Hey my beautiful ladies, I managed to find an interesting human while I was down in the mortal worlds church" A beautiful woman who''s body was the exact same properties of the nun was siting down on a comfy couch. The only difference was the fact her beauty was hundred times more beautiful which no mere mortal could resist. He hair was the color of roses as her lips and eyes were like passion red. "Oh what did find now Tina? Something interesting?" Another goddess that was wearing a long silver robe was seated to the left of the red hair woman. Her face wasn''t as beautiful as the red haired woman but her looks could still the very souls of mortals. She was dress refined with her black hair in a bun and her glasses firmly against her face. She had her legs crossed while she sat which revealed little parts of her lower body. "This mortal wasn''t compelled by my looks. Even though he showed a slight interest in my mortal form, he just treated me like a nun. It''s been a long time since a mere mortal man treated me like that so I thought it would be interesting if we gave a look into this mortals soul. Maybe it could be something exciting!" "So that''s why you called me over." "Oh Yve don''t be such a downer. You know I love you and I also know you love to research mortal souls." "Well they do fascinate me." "Then help me read this human soul!" "What happened? What happened? Did I miss the party?" Finally the last woman to appear was a blonde hair woman with eyes that shined golden. Her words didn''t appear on her face because it looked like it was stuck in a maniac type grin. All around her clothes which where shredded was blood. Even though with the grin and the blood, she was still a beauty to behold as if a insane artist painted his lover''s beauty. "Nephy you are always so late." "Sorry, there was a war in the some remote place in the mortals world that was full of chaos. I couldn''t keep my self away from it." "God you and your wars are always unladylike." The red headed woman shuddered in disgust while the woman called Nephy just shrugged. "So what did I miss? Did I miss anything?" "Tina was just telling us how she found an interesting mortal and wanted to show us." "An interesting mortal? Who is it Tina?" "Change your clothes and wash your face of the grin before you get close to me?! Ugh it''s unladylike !!" Pushing the blonde woman with a force that could seen away from the red haired woman, the blonde woman pouted and then changed her clothes. These three woman currently sitting down on these three couches were goddess. The red hair woman was the goddesses of Love and Desire, Vilatina. The one on the left of her was the goddesses of Knowledge, Yveiana. And finally, the blonde woman with the blood covered clothes who is now wearing a small tracksuit that barely could cover her body was the goddesses of War, Nepholia. These three goddesses always got to together whenever they got bored or if they found something interesting. Right now what interested the gods was Lucca. "Did you change Nephy?"-Vilatina "Yes! Now can we please talk about this mortal you found?"-Nepholia "Okay fine."-Vilatina So Vilatina explained her story to Nepholia. She told her how she fond this mortal that wasn''t effected by her charm and treated her normal. She wanted to know what as inside this mortals soul. "I get the jest of it. So you want Yveiana to read his soul."-Nepholia "Exactly. Yveiana darling?"-Vilatina "I already was reading it when you explained everything to Nephy."-Yveiana "Oh? You work fast Yve. So? What inside the mortals soul?"-Vilatina "Well... I think I can see one... two. three..... four... marks...."-Yveiana "Wait did you just say four marks?!"-Nepholia Nepholia jumped from her chair as Vilatina gasped in surprise to Yvieana''s words. "Why does a mortal of fours marks? At most, the amount a mortal that has ever received more than one blessing from a god only amounted to two!"-Nepholia "Do you think that I will tell a lie Nephy?"-Yveiana "Of course not Yve but still why would so many gods give their mark to just one puny mortal?"-Nepholia Vilatina pondered soflty as Nepholia ranted by putting a one her small thin fingers upon mouth. With an expression going ''Ah'' she turned to Yveiana. "Yveiana you can''t read who marked the soul of the mortal right?"-Vilatina "Well yes, the marks are like stamps while the soul of a mortal is the stamp of book for the gods to place their mark on."-Yveiana "Then can you read to us who marked this mortal?"-Vilatina "Sure give me a second... Okay.. It looks like the goddess of Nature, Reina gave her mark to this mortal. Oh also the goddesses of Art, Faien."-Yveiana "Who else Yve?"-Vilatina "Hold hold on! These last two are confusing to read... Mmm... The third one is the goddess of Magical Beast, Quino"-Yvieana "Ugh. That woman as no class!"-Vilatina "Who care Tina! Yve! Who is the last one."-Nepholia Yvieana stared at Lucca with a deep stare as her face started to distort into anger. She was starting to get angry she couldn''t finger out what the last mark was. "Wow I never seen Yve struggle so much."-Nepholia "Nephy shush your mouth please! Trying to concentrate... The last mark is.... The goddesses of Death...Ulkina...?"-Yvieana ""Ulkina?!""-Nepholia & Vilatina Now this time Vilatina got out of her chair as both of the two goddesses shouted in surprise at Yve. "But Ulkina never puts her mark on anything living! The only times she puts her mark is when a mortal is about to die or is dead!"-Nepholia "Calm down Nephy, you''re not show class for a woman. Yve, can you tell us when this mortal received the markings?"-Vilatina "Oh that''s easy."-Yvieana Taking another look, Yvieana took a couple minutes then smiled. "Quino placed her mark on this mortal a year after he was born. Reina gave the mark around six years old while Faien gave her mark to the mortal when he was eight years old. Ulkina''s is the hardest because I haven''t seen her mark in a long time. It seems he was give the mark... Wait...? The day he was born?!"-Yvieana ""The day he was born?!"" Nepholia & Vilatina "Hold on I want to take a look at his soul rank..."-Yvieana The two of the goddesses waited for Yveiana to finish with their anticipation over the roof. Yveiana''s face went from full smile to mid shock then to a puzzled face then back to a mid shock face then finally the her face went into full shock. "W-W-What is it Yve?" "Yeah Yve...? What do you see?" But Yvieana just trembled. "Come on Yve what is it!"-Nepholia "L..."-Yveiana ""L?""-Nepholia & Vilatina "L-Lengedary... Rank..." -Yveiana Both Vilatina and Nepholia took their seats as they were paralyzed by the information. "Tina, what were you doing with this mortal before you came to us?"-Yvieana "....mmmh? Oh,what I was doing with the mortal? I was giving him his ID card."-Vilatina "Mmm I see. Then I have a proposal for you two."-Yveiana Both Vilatina and Nepholia lifted their heads to stare back at Yveiana. "Whats the proposal Yve?"-Vilatina "Well since so many goddesses all ready placed their mark on this mortal, why don''t we?"-Yveiana "Are you saying bless this mortal?"-Nepholia "Indeed Nephy. If we mark this mortal we might see something interesting happen. Also I want to see how this mortal fairs with our blessing."-Yvieana "Well Yve that does sound interesting. Alright then I am in!"-Vilatina "Sure if this mortal shows me grand battles then I will bless him."-Nepholia "Nephy so unladylike!"-Vilatina While Vilatina gave a digusted look to Nepholia and Nepholia shouted angrily at Vilatina. The two goddesses were still in on the deal. So with the three goddess placing their marks on Lucca, Lucca not only had four marks from goddesses but now had three more making it seven. Slowly it started to shake before it finally stopped and got quiet. "That was weird..."-Lucca "That''s the new future of the new ID cards. Instead of the imprint of skills, it now uses a new magic that sets up a small window to the person it''s assigned too. Try saying ''Open ID''"-Vilatina "Open ID."-Lucca A blue tinted window appeared in front of his face making Lucca fall back on his chair in surprise. The nun ran towards Lucca to make sure he was okay. Seeing Lucca was fine, she giggled has Lucca rubbed his head in embarrassment. Taking the chair and siting down on it again, Lucca checked out his ID card. ______________________________________ Name: Lucca N. Lucca didn''t know what these things meant besides the fact he had magic. That part made him excited but he was confused by the body enhancements and skills part of his ID. The nun noticed that Lucca had finished reading his ID. "You can show others your ID by saying ''Show ID''. Please be careful not to show others your ID with care. You can say ''ID Close'' if you are done viewing it."-Vilatina Lucca slowly gave last glance at his ID before he said ''ID Close'' . The magic window shrank in size as it disappeared from sight. "Seems like everything is in order? Then please keep your ID card on you at all times. That''s the only way for the ID window to appear. Now please follow me."-Vilatina Lucca put away the card and followed the nun. They went back down the stairs and to the front entrance of the church. Taking a bow, the nun returned back to her duties. Lucca took one last look before leaving the church. "So you got your ID?"-Noel "Yes!"-Lucca Lucca waved the Black ID in front of Noel but Noel shouted at Lucca. "You fool! Don''t wave that around in public! Wait till we''re back at the guild!"-Noel "O-Oh! Sorry Master!"-Lucca "I swear, young people these days. Come on!"-Noel Noel turned around and walked back to the guild. Lucca followed suit. Once they got back to the guild, both Noel and Lucca were seated in the only sleeping quarters of the guild. It wasn''t big but it was enough to hold a small couch with a small table, a twin sized bed, and a medium sized desk with a chair. Noel got a pot of tea ready and a few biscuits from the storage from next door. Mountains of books and papers scattered around the room. "I rarely get visitors so sorry for the mess sonny."-Noel Pouring a glass of tea for Lucca, He handed he cup to him before finally settling down. "So. Show me your ID card then we can talk."-Noel "Yes Master! Open ID!"-Lucca The ID Screen popped open. "Show ID!"-Lucca The ID screen turned around and flashed white. Noel was surprised by the sudden appearance of the window. "Ohohoh. So this is the new ID card. I heard a colleague of mine brag about this invention but now I see why."-Noel "Your Colleague?"-Lucca "Yes. Apparently the new ID cards where made with the fusion of Space Magic and a new magic called Barrier Magic."-Noel "Barrier Magic?"-Lucca "It''s a magic that allows the users to put up magical shields. I say it''s a new magic but it''s one of the scions magic."-Noel "What is the Scions Magic?"-Lucca "The Scions where beings from our ancestors that excelled at everything. But one day they angered the gods, bringing down the end of their civilization. To these days there are small ruins and scripts left behind by the Scions. The Scions Magic is ancient magic."-Noel "Wow!"-Lucca "Yes it''s amazing. But enough about the past, let me check your ID card and talk about the fu- WHAT IS THIS?!"-Noel Noel shouted in surprise as he stared at Lucca''s ID card. Lucca stared at his master in bewilderment. "Whats wrong master?"-Lucca "Pain... Advance.. Magic Aptitude.. All Elements... Magic power four hundred thousand?!"-Noel "Whats the problem master?"-Lucca Worried, Lucca stared at his master in fear. Noel eyes bulged while reading more of his ID card. Noel didn''t even want to go down more to see the rest. "My boy? Is there a problem? There is no problem!"-Noel "Oh... then what is it master?"-Lucca "Your Magic Power is four hundred thousand! Though your Attack Power is zero, your Magic Ability is to immense!"-Noel "Is that a good thing...?"-Lucca "Is that a good thing? Of course that is a good thing! It''s amazing! And all so your Magical Aptitude is All Elements which means you can learn any magic! And your body enhancements! Oh my dear Yveiana!!!"-Noel Lucca didn''t understand his masters reaction but he smiled knowing that it was amazing. "My boy! You''re to amazing! Even I can''t teach you anything that will be worth your time!"-Noel "But Master! I want to learn from you! I want to join the scholars guild!"-Lucca '''' I can help you join the scholars guild but I can''t teach you. No my boy! You need a better teacher!"-Noel Noel got up from his chair and rushed towards his desk. He rummaged through many papers and books atop of the desk and also scavenged through the drawers. "Ah huh!"-Noel Taking a piece of paper, Noel got a blank parchment. Taking a pen and ink, He quickly wrote down on the blank parchment. "What are you doing master?"-Lucca "I am writing a letter my boy. An old friend of mine owes me a favor. So I am writing to him. Here fill this out."-Noel Noel handed him a paper which seemed to be a contract of some kind. He threw a bottle of ink and pen to him too. Lucca stared at these items in bewilderment. He decided since his master had his back turned that he would pretend to sign it and put it to the side. "What are you writing to him about?"-Lucca "About letting you into the number one prestiges magical combat skilled school in the kingdom my boy! I can''t teach you but the teachers there will make use of your skills and allow you to achieve your potential! By the way did you sign it?"-Noel "Yes master I signed it. So what about my potential?"-Lucca Noel turned around and gripped Lucca''s shoulders. "My boy you have immense potential! At that school, you will learn beyond what I can teach you. All the most influential Scholars come from that school my boy!"-Noel Noel took the letter and closed it with wax. Taking the letter, Noel went to a magic formation on the ground and dropped the letter on top. "By the sun of the gods, carry thy note to the end of the worlds. Teleportation Magic!"-Noel The magic formation shine brightly as the letter disappeared in sight. "Tomorrow my boy you will go to the academy of Zelphon!"-Noel Noel stared at the boy with sparkling eyes. Noel knew this boy had a future. A future that he wanted to witness him self. "Tomorrow Master?"-Lucca "Yes my boy. I''m going to teleport you from here tomorrow to the academy. By then the letter should have gotten through. I also have a question for you boy."-Noel Noel sat down in front of Lucca and gave him the stare. "Yes Master?"-Lucca "Where are you from my boy? Though I know you might be hiding this because it''s important to you. I want to know before I send you to the Academy."-Noel "Huh...?"-Lucca Lucca was stunned by this question. What could Lucca say to Noel. He couldn''t exactly tell him where he came from. "I...huh... Come from a village in the country..."-Lucca "Mmm. Which one?"-Noel "Oh you know...That one village..."-Lucca "My boy are you lying to this old man?"-Noel "No! Of course not Master!"-Lucca "Then where did you come from boy?"-Noel Lucca went silent has his mind blazed with thoughts. Could he trust his Master with where he came from? Was it safe? On the way to the town, Lucca was often told not to tell where he came from because it would not be safe. Grandpa Ten could not stress this enough on their trip through the forest. So Lucca bit his lip. "Well there is two ways we can do this my boy. Either you tell me the truth or I lock your movements with magic and use a truth serum on you."-Noel "Truth serum...?"-Lucca "Yes, it''s a medicine that heals the person with their emotional damage. Of course it also spills everything from a person for a period of time."-Noel Lucca shivered. "So you want to tell me?"-Noel "Ugh... Guess I can''t hide it from you Master..."-Lucca So Lucca told Noel his story. From when he was a newborn abandon in the middle of the forest of Deruma to growing up with Mother B. He told Noel that he spent time with his family which he learned many things from. "Learn? How did you learn?"-Noel "Oh. Mother B had many books in her collection. She would always say things like ''You need to learn!'' and ''My child is so smart!'' So I was always pursed into learning."-Lucca "Wait did you just say she talks...?"-Noel "Yes? Is that not normal?"-Lucca "Is Mother B a Magical Beast?"-Noel "Yeah? She said she was a Grand Bear."-Lucca "Huh I see... a Magical Beast talking... Wait... That''s not normal!"-Noel Noel shouted a Lucca which startled him. "Magical Beast don''t talk my boy!"-Noel "But she did! And so did my family members!"-Lucca Noel took his hand and pinched the top of his forehead thinking calmly. "Okay say what you said was true. Do you know that it is not normal to talk to Magical Beast?"-Noel "I think Mother B said that once..."-Lucca "First of all Magical Beast don''t have the intelligence to even speak human language in the first place. All so all Magical Beast only communicate by animal cries... or... You speak those cries right back with out noticing."-Noel If you stumble upon this narrative on Amazon, be aware that it has been stolen from Royal Road. Please report it. "What do you mean by that master?"-Lucca "Lucca my boy, since you can speak to Magical Beast like it''s normal. The chances of that being true are slim to none. But if they where, then that means you speak in animal tongue. That means you can speak to other Magical Beast in the world."-Noel "I can speak to others...? Like I can do with my family members?"-Lucca "Mmm yes my boy! Well knowing where you coming from, it resolves my suspicion."-Noel Lucca was taken back by these words. "You where suspecting me? How did you know I was never from a village or town?"-Lucca "Because the way you talked my boy. You where to much reserved for an adventure and lack knowledge over simple common things. Also you didn''t have an ID card and claimed to lose it. And finally, the fact that couldn''t understand any major city or village I spoke once to you about in our past conversations. It lead me to believe that you come from somewhere that you where lying about."-Noel "So I basically gave it away..."-Lucca "Yes you did my boy!"-Noel Noel laughed while Lucca rubbed the back of his head. Noel took the nearest cup and filled it again with tea. "So do you have a place to stay my boy?"-Noel "To stay?"-Lucca "You have to wait till tomorrow for the teleport to the academy. You have to stay somewhere tonight. Unfortunately I have no room here in the Guild. All the spare rooms are piled in books."-Noel "Well... The girl who guided me here told me she had a Inn. I think I remember where it is."-Lucca "I see my boy. Do you have any money on you?"-Noel "Yes I have a bit from what my family gave me."-Lucca "Okay I see, then go there for the night. Make sure to to be safe. I suspect to see you here tomorrow early morning ready to go!"-Noel "Yes master!"-Lucca Taking one last bow, Lucca left Noel and was on his way to the Inn. Reaching the inn, Lucca heard laughter and voices from the Inn windows. Taking a peek slightly through the door he could see many people drinking and eating away. It looked like a peaceful place. "Lucca? What are you doing there, come on in!" Lucca couldn''t react as a unknown force pulled his arm into the inn, dragging him along the way. "Mom! We got a customer!"-Rise The one who pulled Lucca''s arm was Rise. She turned around and smiled at him. "I knew you where going to come back. I had prepped a room just for you!"-Rise "Oh? T..Thanks."-Lucca Embarrassed, Lucca rubbed the back of his head as he stared down at the ground. Rise giggled has she dragged him to the counter. "Well what do we have here? Did Rise bring a friend?" "No Mom! Lucca will be staying here tonight!"-Rise "Oh I see. Then now Lucca, how many nights are you staying?" "J..Just tonight."-Lucca "Okay then that will be four silver coins and a copper. Also having a meal added will be two copper coins on top. And if you want more items you have to pay for those separate." Rise''s mother winked at Lucca. She looked just like Rise but older. Of course she was way more beautiful too.Taking out the money, He gave her four silver coins and three coppers. "Righty then. Here is your room key. And remember to keep your belongings in the OmniChest. Once you give the command word to it, it won''t open to anyone but your command word. Also dinner is already being served, so once you are ready to eat then just come down here." "Yes ma''am!"-Lucca "Let me lead you to your room!"-Rise Rise took Lucca''s hand and ran up the inn''s stairs. "This is your room! Like I said, I saved it just for you so you better be glad!"-Rise "Yes! Thank you so much Rise."-Rise Rise puffed out her chest in pride as she opened the door to the room and pushed him in. "I have to get back to work or mother will kill me! When you''re ready come on down."-Rise With that Rise left Lucca to his room. Lucca stared at the room. He went over to what seemed to be the OmniChest and put his belongings into it. Once he closed the lid, he said ''Close''. The OmniChest grew teeth and closed tight. Shocked by this, Lucca jumped back a few feet. Testing out the chest, it seems the chest won''t open with out the command word. Remembering words of supper, Lucca made his way down the stairs and into the bar. "Lucca! Come over and sit with me and Papa!" "Lucca my boy! Good to see you, come come!" ________________________________ Warning, this part of the chapter gets out of hand and the reader must be aware that they must be 18+ to read this part of the chapter. Lucca joined the two from were they were sitting and Borick welcomed him. "So Lucca I heard you joined the Scholars guild? Hows that going for you?" "Good. Master is interesting with what he says." Rise gave Lucca a dirty stare once she heard him call Noel ''Master''. Borick just laughed and patted Lucca on the back. "So you want to become a magician huh? Even though I saw some talent in you to become a warrior." "N-No it''s not like I don''t want to become a warrior! I just want to learn magic first." "Well that''s going to be hard Lucca my boy because once a person starts gaining either Attack Power or Magical Power, it''s harder to raise the other one." "So you mean I can''t become a warrior...?" Borick slapped Lucca on the back which bad him flinch while Borick laughed with vigor. "I never said you couldn''t become a warrior Lucca. I just meant the chances of you becoming a magician were better than you becoming a warrior." "Oh I see..." "But enough with the small talk let''s eat! Honey get me and Lucca the house special and Rise can get anything she wants!" "You got it dear!" Cooking away from behind the bar, Rise''s mother prepared the food of all three people and handed to them quickly. "Rise''s mother makes the best pork cutlet that you wouldn''t believe! It''s so savory that the meat melts in your mouth and it goes well with wine!" "Really??" Chomping down on a piece of the house special, Luccas face shined with pleasure as he enjoyed the taste of the pork cutlet. The meat melted off his tongue as the juices exploded in his mouth leaving an immense delicious flavor behind which lasted in his mouth. "See I told you! But you haven''t tried it wine!" "Dad! You don''t even know how old Lucca is!" "Wine? What does my age have to do with wine?" Lucca questioned these two people and these people gave Lucca a surprised shock. "You mean to tell me you don''t know what alcohol is kid?" "No... Should I..?" The father and daughter looked at each before the decided to give Lucca a lecture on alcohol. Alcohol in the world of Xeyian was produced by aged fruit from a mana tree. Depending on old the mana tree, the more quality the wine is. How wine is made from this fruit of the mana true is that farmers take the fruit and store it in barrels till the day they are fully ripened. By taking the skins of the fruit off, they grind it down into a liquid. Then they take a branch of a mana tree and pour the sap into the liquid. Stirred up while other things are added to it. After finishing the stirring, they finally put it into a cold space either in the north by storage or use constant ice magic on it for a whole three years. Once the product was done, Wine is created. Depending on the fruit skin that was used during the making of wine was the flavor that it possessed. "So do you understand Lucca?" "So that is wine but what does it have to do with my age?" "Only a certain age can a person be able to drink Lucca my boy. That''s why asked me about knowing your age. So how old are you Lucca." "mmm? Me? I am fifteen." Borick got up and put his hands on both of Lucca''s side. With one single thrust in the air, he tossed Lucca in the air. "WE HAVE A FIRST TIME DRINKER HERE!!!!" Borick''s yell shook the entire inn. Every one in the bar cheered as they joined around Borick as he caught Lucca and put him down. Lucca''s heart was pounding. "W-W-What was that for?!" "Hahaha Sorry Lucca my boy. That just now was tradition. We have a tradition in this town were if a first time drinker shows up we throw them in the air and announce to the whole bar there is a first time drinker. Being able to drink means a first step towards adulthood!" Every one in the bar cheered except Rina. Rina had her arm one the bar as it supported her head with her palm gently holding it right in the middle of her face. Lucca looked at Rina with curiosity. "Rina what are you doing?" "You shouldn''t have said you could drink... Now we have to drink as much as them..." "Why is that so bad? Isn''t that a good thing, so we could all a good time." "You don''t understand Lucca! Once you drink to-" Rise was interrupted by her farther who just shoved a wooden tankard into Lucca''s hands. Borick to his tankard and gulped it all down in one sitting. After he was done, he slammed the tankard onto the bar counter and smirked at Lucca. Lucca who was watching Borick the whole time looked down the tankard. The liquid inside, it wasn''t clear. It was colored red with hints of murkiness. The smell also smelled like fruit. Taking the tankard, Lucca did the exact same thing as Borick. Lucca gulped down all the liquid but much slower then Borick and slammed the tankard onto the bar counter as well. He tapped his chest and burped. The entire bar cheered. "Not bad for a first time drinker. How was the taste?" "It was delicious! I never had a drink this delicious before!" "Of course it''s delicious! My wife made it." "Ehh??" Lucca turned to look at Rise''s mother and she smiled back at him. "So it was good?" "It was so delicious! You made this?" "Indeed I make it. It''s homebrewed right behind the inn. I use my secret fruit for the recipe." "Wow!" "Since you like it so much why not have all you drinks on the house?" "On the house?" "Means they will be all free Lucca. You don''t have to pay." "Realy?!" "Of course. Since it''s your first time drinking, think of it as a present for liking my wine so much." "Thank you so much ma''am!" Lucca bowed down to the Rise''s mother and she laughed. The rest of the bar cheered when they heard the drinks were on the house. "Not for you lot! Just for Lucca!" The rest of the bar booed at Rise''s mother. The party of the drinking was just starting. Three hours later, one after another each person had fallen drunk to the wine. Rise fell drunk after the eighth drink and Rise''s mother collapsed after the fourteenth tankard. The only people who were still going strong were Lucca and Borick. Each one of them emptied out forty two tankards and drunk up three kegs. Borick was starting to wobble as he seemed to be having the hiccups. Lucca on the other hand was just find. There was not hint of sway or sickness coming from him. To Lucca, he thought the people who collapsed just fell tired after having a good meal and now Borick was doing the same. "Hic... You...Hic... Are a good drinker for ... Hic.. your first time Lucca. Did you drink before.. Hic...?" "No this is my first time drinking Borick." "Haha..Hic...Haahahaha.. I see! Hic...One more tankard Lucca.. Hic... Best man standing wins... Hic..." "Okay Borick!" Taking both of their tankards, Lucca leaned over the bar counter and filled the tankards from the kegs. After the thirtieth drink, Borick couldn''t even pour his own drink so Lucca had to pour them. Leaning back to face Borick, Lucca hands Borick is tankard. "Best...Hic..Man wins! Ready..Hic..Set...Hic...Goooo!" Lucca took his tankard and gulped it all down in one siting this time way faster then he started and turned back to see Borick. But Borick didn''t drink, Borick was knocked out on the floor as his drink was sitting on the bar counter. "Ahh. He wanted to sleep. Well it would be a waste for the drink not to be drunk." Taking the tankard that belonged to Borick, Lucca drank that down in mere seconds and slammed the tankard on the bar as he wiped his face. "Phewaa that always feels good. But really, I wonder why every one choose to sleep here, they have their own rooms." Wondering why the people in the bar slept where they were, Lucca made his way all the way up to his room. Today was a long day but I had fun. Lucca smiled and opened the door to his room. He closed it behind it and walked slowly to the bed before laying down on it. After while he fully fallen asleep. Though Lucca thought every one was sleeping due being tired. They didn''t tell him that when you drink to much alcohol get affected by alcohol poisoning which made you drunk. Lucca was the only one in the room with Poison Resistance Intermediate Level so he was able to avoid getting drunk. Needless to say, Lucca was sleeping peaceful tonight. Talent? Maybe Need Some Skills Chapter 4[Re-edited] Here is chapter four! Like I promise, I would explain Lucca''s ID stats but choose to leave out the blessing part. That will be covered in another chapter. In chapter five, the basics of magic and the understandings of magic will be covered. As always, please comment and give advice~ _______________________________ Getting up before the sun even laid it''s hand on the land, Lucca slowly rose from his slumber as he got ready to go to the Scholars Guild. Taking his things from the OmiChest, Lucca rushed out of his room and down the stairs to the bar. Every person that was at the party was still sleeping in the bar. Lucca just shrugged and went to Rise''s mother. Take her hand, Lucca placed the room key in it and left the key there. Taking one last look around the place, Lucca bowed before he left. He ran all the way to the Scholars Guild. Knocking on the door once he arrived there, Noel flung open to greet Lucca. "You''re ready my boy?"-Noel Noel pulled him inside. Noel already had the teleporter set and ready. All he needed was for Lucca to stand on the circle. "Lucca go stand on the formation."-Noel Obeying, Lucca stood on top of the magic formation. Noel handed the boy two items. One was a white letter envelop while the other was a crystal medallion. "When you get there, show the guards this letter. If they start questioning, show them this medallion."-Noel "Master?"-Lucca "Mhh?"-Noel "Why do so much for me?"-Lucca "What do you mean boy?"-Noel "I mean. The ID to the recommendation to the school and now this. Why are you trying so hard for me?"-Lucca "Because I have in interest in you boy. Don''t fail my interest."-Noel Lucca understand now. He smiled at his master and bowed. "Yes Master!"-Lucca Lucca bowed and Noel raised his hand. "By the sun of the gods, carry Lucca to the ends of the worlds. Teleportation Magic!"-Noel The magic formation started to glow as Lucca''s body soon disappeared. The last thing before Lucca was fully gone was his smile. Noel sat down in his chair and sighed. "That boy... I said vague things but he still understood me..."-Noel Noel smiled. "Show me my boy. Show me the future you bring. Before this old man has to waste away."-Noel ____________________________ Lucca felt his surroundings go white has the sight of the guild room vanish from his vision. This feeling felt like the rush you get from jumping off a high place. All he can hear was a constant ringing sound. Closing his eyes, Lucca endured it all. Finally after a few moments passed, the ringing sound ceased to exist. Lucca slowly opened is eyes but in front of him was nothing but blackness. Confused by this Lucca tried to move. He walked forward a few steps till he finally hit a wall. "Oy! Who let a person teleport!" A voice shouted off in a distance. Lucca tried his best to follow that voice but hit another hard wall making a thud. "Hey kid you okay? Hold on we will get you help." "I swear! Who lets a small kid like this teleport!" The voices started to get more wild has they felt like they where close to Lucca. Lucca confused finally couldn''t stand the pressure of his head. He took one step before knocking out on spot. "Who is this person?" "Professor!" There was two guards in the room that Lucca collapsed in. Professor Felia was making her way to the portal to send a letter. She came upon a sight of two guards holding a knocked out person. "What happened to this person?"-Felia "Ma''am! This person just game out of the magic formation!" "He came out of the magic formation??"-Felia In shock, Felia stared down at the person. There was hint of sweat and drain of color in the face. Using magic, she lifted Lucca in the air as if carrying him. "I will take this person to the medical ward."-Felia ''But ma''am... we don''t know if he is dangerous..." "I am taking this boy to the medical ward."-Felia Felia''s face darkened as she stared down the guard. Both of the guards shivered in fear. "Yes ma''am!" "Good. Now take this letter of mine to be teleported to the place on the front."-Felia "Yes ma''am!" Grinning, Felia gave the letter to the guards and left them with Lucca. She slowly headed towards the medical ward. Lucca couldn''t feel anything. He knew he was dreaming but he couldn''t tell what was happening. A soft voice spoke into his ear. "One day. I shall claim you." He couldn''t understand these words. Claim him? Claim what? Then another voice whispered in his other ear. "You mortal sown the seeds." Mortal? Seeds? "Change history. Because that is what you do." Lucca heard another voice. History... That''s what I do? Lucca tried to understand those words "My king. You the ruler." This is the forth voice? What are they saying! Lucca was confused. Then finally all the voices said the same thing. ""You''re blessed. You''re my husband."" At those words, Lucca''s eyes flashed open. Bright light invaded his eyes has he stared at the ceiling of an unknown room. "Where am I...?"-Lucca "Oh look. The little rabbit is awake." "Little... Rabbit?"-Lucca Lucca turned to his side from where he was laying and looked for the source of the voice. There popped a face off a little girl. Surprised, Lucca let out a yelp and swayed backwards. This made him fall of the bed. "That''s rude to do to a lady." The little girl puffed her cheeks and pouted. Lucca stared that the little girl with uncertainty. "You shouldn''t stare at a lady like that!" This little girl was very cutesy in a manner of speaking. With her light blue hair put into pigtails, her small body was covered in one big robe that went down to her ankles. The sleeves where to long for her and her hat was covering her entire head. Her face shaped like a dolls. She chanted a few words and used magic to lift up Lucca to his feet. "Come on now, we don''t have all day. The headmaster is waiting for us." "Headmaster?"-Lucca "Hurry up!" The girl shouted. Lucca didn''t take a second to lag behind and followed the little girl. They walked passed corridor to corridor till finally coming upon two massive oak doors. Each of the doors where designed with a certain pattern. The little girl opened the door with ease and ushered Lucca in side. "Wait for the headmaster, he will be out shortly." With the the little girl closed the door shut behind him, leaving Lucca alone. Lucca sighed. He honestly didn''t know what was happening. He looked around the room. There was books and scrolls all over the floor. Paintings of many things layered the walls. Book self after book self fill with books every where. Only on simple wooden desk stood in the middle of the room with papers and letters scattered about. "This place reminds me of masters place..."-Lucca Lucca continued to examine the room till he eyes finally fallen upon a small stone. It was the size of his finger but it laid on top of the desk. Intrigued, Lucca walked to the desk and picked up the small stone. It was shining faintly with a small light. "Oh? It seems a little rabbit came in." Lucca turned around in surprise. There stood a man in his middle ages. His beard was not immense like his masters but it was grand to be called a man. The man stood around six feet tall as his hair was blonde. He was tough burly looking man. The fellow had a softly look to his eyes has he spread a smile to Lucca. Love what you''re reading? Discover and support the author on the platform they originally published on. "Interested in that stone?" Forgetting that he was holding the stone, Lucca put the stone back down on the desk quickly. "I...I''m sorry. I didn''t mean to touch it!"-Lucca "It''s okay child. No need to fret." The man walked towards Lucca and the desk. He picked up the stone and given it back to him. "This stone was used to communicate with the gods. Though that was a rumor. Some to this day will pay much money for it though. In the end it was just a useless stone. You can keep it." "But sir! If it''s so im-"-Lucca Suddenly the door to the room flew open with a bang as the little girl barged in. "Sorry. The Headmaster can''t be found. No one has seen- Headmaster!?" "Oh Felia. Nice for you to drop by."-Headmaster "Headmaster! You where here the whole time??"-Felia "I just got here my self Felia. And I take it this is the boy that came in through the portal?"-Headmaster "Yes sir. He came in this morning."-Felia "Splendid! Then I will take care of him now."-Headmaster "As you wish sir."-Felia Felia bowed before she left. Lucca was dumb folded as he stared at the Headmaster. "Come my child sit. We have much to discuss"-Headmaster The Headmaster pointed to the chair that was placed in front of the desk. "Yes sir!"-Felia Lucca sat down obediently. The Headmaster took his seat at his desk and fumbled through some papers. "So Lucca. Do you know who I am?"-Headmaster "The Headmaster?"-Lucca "Do you know what a Headmaster is?"-Headmaster "Someone who runs a school or runs a clan?"-Lucca "Correct and not correct. Though I do run this school, I don''t own it. So I merely just a housekeeper"-Headmaster "A housekeeper?"-Lucca "Yes I am running this school till one day the owner comes back for it."-Headmaster "I see."-Lucca "Sorry I didn''t mean to test your knowledge. I was informed by Noel that you came from the forest of Deruma. It seems your intelligence doesn''t seem to be affected."-Headmaster The Headmaster laughed as he finally took out a piece of paper. "So I was told by Noel that I should read your ID card. Usually to enter this academy, you have to go through a trail. But since Noel asked for a favor, I will personally admit you to the academy. I just need you to do a few things."-Headmaster "And what would those few things be?"-Lucca "I need you to record your ID card for future documents and a signature for your entry to this academy."-Headmaster "I see sir."-Lucca Taking out a blank parchment, the Headmaster grabbed a stone talisman from his drawer and placed it on the top of the parchment. "Put your ID card on the black parchment."-Headmaster Lucca did so. The headmaster placed his hand on the ID card and the other on the opposite side of the talisman. "Yve and Ori. Guide the words of thy soul to the pages of truth."-Headmaster The talisman shined in a glowing light. Words started to appear on the blank parchment. When it was finished. The Headmaster gave back Lucca''s ID card and examined the parchment. "Well it is just like Noel said. Magic Power is four hundred thousand. Though it''s pretty weird to have zero attack power."-Headmaster "How is it weird?"-Lucca "Well most humans have at least fifty attack power. Enough to survive. Anything more then that is just talent and hard work. For Magic Power, most humans have an average of hundred points."-Headmaster "So why is mine so high?"-Lucca "I don''t know but in ranges of Magic Power, four hundred thousand out scales them all. Magic power has ranks that when a person reaches a certain number attains. The first rank is for normal every day mages that use magic for every day things. That is around hundred Magic Power. At five hundred Magic Power, that person would be considered a magic adventure. Going on, at one thousand Magic power the person attains the rank of magic professor. Finally the final rank that can be achieved to knowledge is at fifty thousand Magic Power. Those that attain that rank are employed by kings of kingdoms and serve as a court mage. Your power out scales theirs by eight times..."-Head master Lucca was shocked by this. Doesn''t that mean he was achieved a rank that no one has attained before. "Though we don''t know your talent in magic. Learning magic and keeping it going would be easy for you since you have so much Magical Power. Keeping it under control might be a different issue."-Headmaster ''Keeping it under control..?"-Lucca "If you use to much magic you will explode with magical energy and die."-Headmaster Lucca gulped hard when he heard this. If he used to much magical energy he would die. He had to be careful about this. "But you will never run out of magic power. With your Mana Regeneration and Mana Absorption being so high, there should really be no problems with you running out. But that doesn''t mean you can just use magic with our reserve. Like I said before, you might explode with magical energy if you do not control it."-Headmaster "What do you mean by it being high?"-Lucca "Well both of those enhancements are either at or past the intermediate level."-Headmaster "Intermediate level?"-Lucca The Headmaster started to explain skills and it''s levels. When each time a person trains and endures certain agreements for skills, they will attain them. All skills start at beginner level. But there are some cases where some skills can be blessed by the gods. The levels start from beginner, intermediate, and advance. Each level defines how hard it is to attain. Each time a skill attains a new level, that skill''s ability and power will increase. Once a skill reaches advance level, that skill has reached it''s max potential and brings out it''s full power. "Most people don''t reach advance level until they are in their later years of life or about to die. Mostly masters will have this type of skill level."-Headmaster "I see..."-Lucca Lucca understood but he was dumbfolded. He was so amazing up till now. Lucca always thought he was weak and couldn''t do anything. But with magic, maybe he could be something. Something that could make him proud. The Headmaster examined the ID some more and put it away from view. Though the blessing part of the ID was shown on the parchment, he didn''t want to reveal this to Lucca. He didn''t feel like it was necessary to bring up. But still he was surprised that such a boy can be blessed by many gods. The Headmaster now understood why the boy was so amazing. "Well with this ID, I think your are more than qualified to attend Zelphon Academy!"-Headmaster Smiling the head master took out one last sheet of paper and placed it in front of Lucca. "This paper is a contract of you becoming a student here at Zelphon. Signing this means you are part of the academy itself and abide by the rules."-Headmaster The headmaster handed a pen and ink to Lucca. "Sign at the bottom and we are good to go."-Headmaster Lucca stared at the pen but he did not move. He started to slowly sweat has he looked away. "Whats the matter my son? Don''t want to sign?"-Headmaster "It''s not that I don''t want to sign sir. It''s just..."-Lucca "Just what?"-Headmaster "I...I can''t.."-Lucca "You can''t what?"-Headmaster "I can''t write."-Lucca "..."-Headmaster Side Chapter part 1 Chapter 5 Backtracking fifteen years in the past. To the time when the angels rejected Lucca. History Lesson. Going to put the story to the side for a moment. This is just going to cover small and some things that weren''t introduced in the previous chapters. Of course keep note there are somethings that I am not going to include because I want to save them for another chapter. This will be written weird so please bare. . _______________________________ The house of Villion. For years this clan has lead a life under the blessing of the life gods. The life gods where in fact one of the many gods that ruled under the elements. With every living being able to produce magic, each living mortal had a magic aptitude. It could be said that magic was blessed by those gods. Of course magic aptitude can also be given by other gods. But no matter how many times a god of another jurisdiction tries to give a magical aptitude to another mortal it will never proceed a magical aptitude that is given by a god that rules an element. Once a god that rules an element gives a magical aptitude to a mortal, that mortal can not have any other magical aptitude. But there are some cases when the grade of a mortals soul will outstrip those bounds. But that''s for another chapter. For this world, the gods treated it as a play toy. Mortals where just means of losing boredom for all the gods. May they be high ranking gods to the lesser gods, mortals where a source for entertainment. So the gods claim mortal souls. In the world of the gods, a mortal soul was considered property. Any god can claim a mortals soul but claiming a soul that''s already marked by another god is considered taboo. Of course there are certain cases where this happened, it was rarely done. Mortals refer this mark/claim to blessings. The house of Villion is a well known clan which is said to be the strongest light magic clan in the kingdom of Ferald. It was well known to many in the kingdom that no other clan is stronger then Villion clan. With so much power in the light magic, members of the Villion clan work as priest and in well known academies. Most of the members are on the front lines with the army. Villion clan''s healing and blessing power where top class. Why where they so strong? Though there are many clans in the kingdom that can do what the Villion clan can do, there was thing that made them different from the others. The blessings of the light gods. Most clans would have blessing from certain gods but not many clans are blessed with the blessing of elemental gods. Most clans where blessed by third ranked gods. The elemental gods where a first ranked gods so their power outstrip the other gods. To attain this power from the light gods, the Villion clan had to do a certain ritual for each member of the family. From the day they are born, the clan will set up a magical formation and place the infant on top. Taking the mana crystals filled with light magic, the head of the family will take a talisman and place it on the forehead of the infant. Chanting the words of pray to the gods above, the angels will be summoned down to the mortal world where they inspect the soul of the infant. If they claim the soul of the infant then the child was blessed by the light gods. Of course any member of the family can do this ritual if they are blessed by the light gods. The head of the family does it for all of the newborns to keep track of each family member. Although the family was famous, there was still a lack of members. Though the head of the family was supposed to do the ritual, Lucca''s mother didn''t take that chance. She hid the fact that she gave birth to her child. By spending a whole year avoiding the family, she never told a soul that she was pregnant. Only her head maid and staff knew. Though she was a proud member of the family, she was afraid that her son wouldn''t be accepted by the light gods. Was she paranoid? Maybe. Was she afraid of something? That answer would be yes but that''s for another chapter. Taking her son to the field that was a couple yards from the Villion manor in the middle of the night. She set up the ritual and softly placed her child on the formation. Chanting the exact prayer that the head of the family spurs, the magical formation glowed white till it finally flashed in a bright light. There glowing a few feet from the child was three armor clad angels. The mother offered her child''s soul to the angels but the angels stood still. They didn''t claim the child because the child in their eyes was a low grade soul. The gods of light don''t accept souls that are ranked Lowclass. The mother cried and shouted at the angels for answers but the angels disappeared leaving the mother to cry. But the mother didn''t feel the presence of another god in the area. Looming over the child, the goddess of death Ulkina stared at the child''s soul. A case of literary theft: this tale is not rightfully on Amazon; if you see it, report the violation. "What fools those old light gods are."-Ulkina Ulkina placed her hand on the child''s head and a black light flashed from her palm. "For them not to see that this mortals soul is be masked as lowgrade. That''s why you don''t send third rate immortal servants to do your job."-Ulkina Ulkina laughed as she stared at the child''s face. "Ahhh.. Your soul is so beautiful. It''s pure and full of life. But there is also hints of destruction and other things in it. Your soul is rare."-Ulkina Leaving her mark on the child''s soul, she lifted her hand and smiled. "Soon... You will be mine to claim. The one I shall claim as my husband."-Ulkina With that Ulkina disappeared from the child and enter the realm of the death gods. The child''s mother after mourning walked slowly to the child. "This... Child. If his father knew then we both will be kicked out of the family..." The mother stared at the child with downcast eyes. She took the baby and carried it back to the house. She fetched a small woven basket from the storage room and placed the baby in side. She then took the basket and ran to the forest of Deruma. "If anyone knew this child was alive... Then it''s the end of both of us..." She ran and ran till she ended up in front of a gigantic mana tree. Huffing and puffing, she slowly placed the basket under the roots of the tree. "Sorry my child... But please...Mother can''t live with you." The mother smiled at the infant but it was not a smile full of motherly love. It was the smile of a killer who knew they have done the deed. This child will die and they will never know. If she went back to the house like nothing happened then everything will be fine. That is what the mother thought. She grinned and ran away with tears falling from her eyes. Rained poured down in the forest that day. The wails of an infant could be heard only a few yards from the tree but the rain softened the sound. "Oh what is this? A human child all the way out here?" "Hey Mother B! Maybe it''s tasty!" "Don''t be silly child. This human child must have been left behind by it''s parents."-Mother B Mother B was making her usual rounds around the forest with the young animals on her back. She was the caretaker of these young animals. Mother B noticed a small sound and followed it all the way to a small infant human baby. "It must be cold." Taking the basket with her mouth, Mother B walked back to her den. Inside she placed the basket in front of the entrance. She moved aside a couple books from the floor and pulled on the cloth that covered the infant. She made sure the infant landed safely on the ground and proceed to lick it clean. "Weird it doesn''t have fur!" "It''s ugly!" "Are you sure we can''t eat it!" The young animals bounced back and forth around Mother B as she cleaned the infant. "No. You may not eat this child. He is going to grow with you." "Grow?" "Yes he will be your brother. And I shall raise him." "Whats his name Mother B?" "His name... Let''s see. This child shall be called Lucca." Nuzzling the infant, Lucca was adopted into a Magical Beast family. ______________________________ What next...? Chapter 6 Okay I know I said I was going to write about the magic in this chapter but I got a flash of idea earlier and had to write this instead! I promise in the next chapter, magic will be explained more! *Bows* Like always, please comment and give advice. Thank you for reading! _____________________________- "What do you mean you can''t write...?"-Headmaster "Well..."-Lucca Lucca started to explain that he knew only certain things. From the select few books that his mother had, he could only learn so far. Of course with his mother being a Magical Beast, she couldn''t teach him how to write. But she oddly enough knew how to do arithmetic and read. So she taught those things to Lucca. Other then that, Lucca only knows small parts of history of Ferald and knows only how to respect nobles and how to interact with them. Of course Lucca knew magic but he didn''t fully understand it plus to Lucca, he always thought magic was something nobles did. It was written in the many books that he read from that only nobles used magic but those books where written centuries ago. So the information from those books where not up to date. "I see. That explains a lot. So I was right to question your knowledge earlier."-Headmaster "Hahahah...."-Lucca "Then that just means we need to add writing lessons to your after noon classes."-Headmaster "...Excuse me?"-Lucca "If you can''t write then we will teach you. Looking at your skills earlier, that probably won''t be a problem. You just have to spend more time at school then the rest of the students." -Headmaster Taking the paper, the Headmaster signed the bottom of the page. "With that you are part of the academy."-Headmaster "So I can join...?"-Lucca "Yes my boy. Welcome to Zelphon Academy."-Headmaster The Headmaster smiled at Lucca as his eyes started to sparkle. He was a student at the school his master wanted for him to attend. A place where he can finally show his potential. "Now let me get a teacher to show you around the school. Tomorrow you will start lessons with the new first year students of class A."-Headmaster The Headmaster got up and opened the door. "Felia? Can you please come in."-Headmaster Felia came in just like the wind. "Can you take Lucca and guide him through the school? He will be part of Class A of the first year students."-Felia "Guide me...?Wait this little girl is a teach-"-Lucca "Who is a little girl?!"-Felia Quickly chanting under her breath before Lucca could notice, Felia casted her spell. She lifted him in air and started to choke him. It was like she had another hand. "For your information I am not a little girl! I am a grown woman!"-Feia "gaghugakg"-Lucca Lucca was stuck in the air struggling as Felia ranted on and on. Sighing, the Headmaster put an hand on Felia. "Now now. Felia, what is our rule?"-Headmaster "N-Not to hurt the students sir..."-Felia "Then would you please put him down?"-Headmaster "Certainly sir..."-Felia Letting out a humpf, Felia let go of her magic grip on Lucca and Lucca fell down to the ground. Gasping for air, Lucca sat on the ground coughing. The Headmaster put a hand on his face and sighed even more. "Make sure you take him around the school and not harm him this time Felia."-Headmaster "Yes sir..."-Felia "Good. Are you okay to go on with the trip Lucca?"-Headmaster Panting, Lucca managed to say a few words. "..Y...Yes...Sir..."-Lucca "Splendid. Now I must get to my afternoon meeting. I hope to see you in the future Lucca."-Headmaster And with that the Headmaster left. Lucca slowly started to get up from the ground as Felia walked to him. "Come on. I don''t have all day you know."-Felia Lucca stared at Felia with eyes of shock. What is wrong with this girl? He thought has he followed her. He didn''t want to risk making her mad again. Felia lead Lucca through many hallways. Lucca was starting to memorize the hallways they been to making a small mental map in his mind. Up till now Lucca could never do that. That shocked him a little but he felt like it great to have so he wouldn''t be lost. "Zelphon Academy takes pride in the many facilities it can supply to its students. Of course the courses taken by a student depends what class they are in. Since you are in class A, that means you will be under my jurisdiction."-Felia Felia started to explain how the academy works. First came the classes. Depending on what class depends what courses you are allowed to take. The highest class was class A. B,C,D, and E soon follow after. Depending on magical talent or fighting skills, students are placed in those classes. "Seeing how you are placed in my class, that means you have either a strong talent for magic or amazing fighting skills. It can''t be fighting skills because you look like a wimp so I am guessing it''s magic."-Felia "Hahahaha..."-Lucca "Anyways, Like I said before. The type of courses you can take depends on your class."-Felia Higher the class you are, the many options of courses will open up to you. So for Class A, they receive that best courses for that year. Ranging from the best fighting and magic instructors to the most famous art and academic teachers. The courses range done from there from B-E classes. "And finally since the courses are done by a this academies secretary unit. So you will choose your courses tomorrow. For now I can show you those courses and where they are. Anything else, you can find out from your roommates from your dorm... Oy why did you get quiet all of a sudden. I can''t even hear your fo-"-Felia The author''s narrative has been misappropriated; report any instances of this story on Amazon. Turning around to look a Lucca, Felia only found a blank space. Felia had lost him. And on the first day too. "W...Wha...What?!"-Felia Felia screamed as she ran around looking for him. Currently Lucca was in the hallway that Felia left him in. He got distracted by a certain painting of a bear. It looked like Mother B a lot so he couldn''t keep his eyes off of it. Once he returned his gaze, she was all ready gone. Gulping, Lucca started to think what to do. If I go back to the Headmaster''s room then she would find me there right? With nowhere else to go, Lucca decided to just head back to the Headmasters the same way he came with Felia. He walked down a couple corridors till he finally stopped due to a sound. It sounded like shouting. Turning towards the window. Out side the window was a courtyard. It looked like a place to practice because it had wooden planks standing straight out of the ground on the far end. In the middle of the courtyard where two groups of people. These two groups where wearing different type of clothing. One side was wearing complete white suits with what it seemed to look like ties and had silver necklaces on their necks. On the other side , they wore a a black tracksuit. One of the members on the black side was wearing a complete set of armor which shined black. The person the armor appeared to be bald. "Oh look! It seems the trash want to pick a fight every one!" The people wearing white all laughed at this one persons remark. The person who spoke looked like a young man with long blonde hair that swept to the middle of his back. He had a face that would have made many girls fall for him but to guys, it looked like a piece of complete jerk material. The blonde man smirked. "Oh that''s funny come a person who acts like a little baby to his father Falk." "Why you little! I don''t act like a baby! If you have to say what I act like, I am more like a majestic Rise Bird then anything trash!"-Falk "It''s not trash you little snot nose brat! It''s Tolton!"-Tolton "Who are you calling a brat? We are the same age! I swear trash never know their place!"-Falk "Really now? You know I couldn''t tell that we where the same age. You always acted like a spoiled little brat."-Tolton Now this time the black side started to snicker. "Oy trash. It looks like you want to get your self killed."-Falk "Bring it on if you can daddies boy."-Tolton Smirking at Falk, Tolton just insulted him more. Enraged Falk chanted quickly under his breath. Small parts of ice started to form around his hand. "Don''t blame me if you die trash!"-Falk "Back at you daddies boy!"-Tolton Tolton slammed his hands together and chanted under his breath too. Soon flames started to form around his armor as they blazed his fist. Falk didn''t even give Tolton time to get ready to fight has he formed his magical ice shard and shot it at him. Taking a step back, Tolton hit the side of the ice shard, melting it into pieces. Falk ran to the left of Tolton chanting. "By the depths of the colds, my enemies shall perish. Icicle Parade!"-Fall A huge mass of ice shards formed and flew at Tolton none stop. Seeing this, Tolton slammed down on the ground. This made the flames on Tolton''s hands swipe down on the shards, melting them. But it wasn''t enough has he got hit by a few of them. Making sure he didn''t get hit hard, Tolton ran a couple steps back. "I am not going to let you run away! By the depths of the colds, my enemies shall perish. Icicle Parade!"-Falk More ice shards shot at Tolton but this time Tolton was prepared. "Shatter before the mighty flame, all shall fall to ruin. Inferno Wave!"-Tolton Pulling his hands back, Tolton casted the magic on his hands has he swung both of his hands. He slashed the air like a cross, sending a blast of fire magic straight at Falk. Cursing Falk dodged to the left but his foot got caught. "Augh!!" -Falk Wow magic is amazing... I thought the teleportation magic was amazing but this is also. I won- wait. What is that? Is that coming towards me? OH N- Before Lucca could finish his thought, the Inferno Wave from before continued till it hit the window that Lucca was looking through. Due to the force of the blast, Lucca was knocked back has he went flying on the other side of the hallway into a room. The door closed right behind him as he landed. Rubbing his back, Lucca slowly got up to check his surroundings. "Where am I...?"-Lucca He stared at the room but there was nothing but a magic formation under his feet. "Wait. A magic formation. Doesn''t that mean...? No way no way. To use the magic formation you need to use magic. That''s what Master said. I guess I am okay."-Lucca Lucca sighed in relieve. He looked around for the door till he finally found it. Taking one step towards the door, the magic formation started to shine. Seeing light appear under his feet, Lucca tilted his head. "Wait... It''s glowing... Doesn''t that mean...!"-Lucca Trying to run out of the formation, Lucca was teleported with out even giving a fight. There was no trace of Lucca to be seen. The Library of the Ancestors Chapter 7 Finally! I got to explain magic a little more. More about magic will be explained in the later chapters. Please enjoy this really long chapter! Like always please comment and give advice. Thank you for reading and now for me to rest~ Lucca the Dino 1:10 Am 12/8/2015 ______________________________________ Ugh I hate this feeling! Lucca was in mid teleportation at the moment. The white surroundings and the painful ringing was not a pleasant experience for Lucca. He closed his eyes like last time and waited. Finally the ringing finally ceased to exist. Opening his eyes, Lucca was greeted with darkness. He got up slowly. "Why is a human here? Oy take it slowly. The effects of the teleporter will wear off." An unknown voice was nearby. Siting down. Lucca closed his eyes for awhile till finally opening them. His sight slowly came back as he took in his surrounds. He could see mass amounts of water and many books. Books? There''s books? Books lined the walls of what looks like to be a cavern. There was many portions of land here and there with tables and chairs. Light came down from many openings in the ceiling of the cave. He got up and looked around more. The island he was on was part of a stone path way. "Where am I...? Can I get out?"-Lucca "Mmm I wonder that too." Pondering, Lucca slowly turned to the voice that was nearby. Floating in mid air was a small creature the size of a book. It had small fluttering wings that seemed to glow white as its body had two little ears. Its small face had big eyes that seem to sparkle. Its body was in a shape of an heart and seemed to puff outwards. Lucca studied it has the little creature looked around. "Yeah I was wondering that too...."-Lucca After taking a few moments, everything kicked in response and Lucca jumped back in surprise. "What are you!"-Lucca "That''s rude! It''s not you. It''s YUI!"-Yui The small little creature shouted back at Lucca. Lucca was stunned at the sudden appearance of the little creature. "A...Are you a Magical Beast?"-Lucca "Of course Yui is! Yui is the best magical beast in the world!"-Yui Little Yui puffed it''s chest out in pride as Lucca tilted his head slightly. "Okay then where is this...?"-Lucca "Yui don''t know. Yui been here since birth."-Yui "Then do you know a way out of here...?"-Lucca "No Yui doesn''t know a way out. AH! Maybe Yanicho can help us!"-Yui "Yanicho? Who''s that?"-Lucca "He''s Yui''s friend. Come, Yui will lead the way."-Yui Leaving sparkling dust behind, Little Yui flew down the stone path way. With no other options, Lucca followed the small little creature. More bookshelves lined the walls of the huge cavern. Many times he would seeing a floating pieces of land in mid air as water fell down from the ceiling of the cavern. Other times he saw other types of magical beast that slowly moves in harmony around the cavern. The places seemed awfully peaceful to Lucca. "He should be here... Oh there he is! Yanicho!"-Yui Little Yui increased it''s speed as he got closer to what seem like a hill in the middle of the cavern comprised of books and what looked like stone tablets. Pillars and Pillars of books where stacked every where. In the middle of the hill sat one man on a floating chair. Next to the man was a floating desk which had a small teacup with what seemed like a teapot. The man him self looked very young. His emerald green hair shined in the light as small parts of silver ornaments decorated his hair. His face looked calm as he stared down at the pages of the book. One could say that this man was as beautiful as a woman but other could say he was handsome. His body wasn''t to lanky so he was think but his fingers where very long. He was quietly reading a book as he sipped on tea. Putting down his teacup, he noticed Little Yui call his name. Making a soft smile he got up from his chair to greet his little friend. But there was something behind his friend that made his face stiffen. "Yui. Who is that behind you?" "Oh this? This is..."-Yui Little Yui turned around and faced Lucca. Yui tilted his head in puzzlement. "Who are you?"-Yui The man placed his hand on his face as he sighed. Walking down from the hill of books, he stood right next to Little Yui. "I will ask again. Who are you?" The main pointed at Lucca. Lucca thought for a moment to whether to tell this man his name or just stay silent but he didn''t feel any harm from him. Besides he was trapped here anyways so there was no use in making enemies. "Hi. My name is Lucca M. Bear."-Lucca _______________________________ It has been nine hours since the disappearance of Lucca. At first Felia thought he would be back at the Headmaster''s office so she made her way back to the office but Lucca wasn''t to be found. Sighing she spent the next four hours exploring the academy. She asked many of the staff and students if they seen him. "He like this tall. He had a face that looked weak? Dark brown hair?"-Felia "No Professor Felia. I haven''t seen such a person." "I see, sorry for troubling you. If you see him, inform me please."-Felia "Of course professor." To Felia''s luck Lucca was nowhere to be found. So she gave up. Sooner or later a staff or student will inform Felia if Lucca was found. But the hours passed and it was all ready late in the night. Felia was starting to worry. I need to inform the Headmaster... No what would the Headmaster say if he knew that I lost the boy! Pulling at her hair, she stamped about frustrating on what to do. After half an hour of this, she finally choose to inform the Headmaster. She made her way to the Headmaster''s office and knocked on the door. "Come in." With a response that came from behind the door, Felia opened the door slowly before entering. "Ahh Felia. Did you finish showing Lucca that academy like I told you too? That was a long time ago so you must have given him a grand tour and took care of him."-Headmaster "Well you see si-"-Felia "And I was just going to bring out the new tea set that I got imported from the kingdom of Xonren. Also got some tea from the local academy garden. Best in the country I do say my self."-Headmaster "Sir. I lost-"-Felia "Also I was going to ask Miara to bake some cookies for the tea. Do you know if she is free at this hour?"-Headmaster "Sir I lost the boy!"-Felia Dropping the teacup in his hand making it shatter, the Headmaster stared at Felia with series eyes. "Wait. What happened...?"-Headmaster "I lost the boy sir. I was showing him the school and I turned around to see that he was gone."-Felia "So you lost him and he is no where to be found... How long as he been lost?"-Headmaster "N..Nine hours sir..."-Felia "Nine hours.. Nine hours?!"-Headmaster The Headmaster shouted as Felia jumped at the shout. "Felia! Get all the staff and students to search the academy and the areas around it. I want every single room, courtyard, bathroom, closet, forest, cave, tree, bush, rock, even the underside of the beds of every single person in this academy searched! Am I clear!?"-Headmaster "SIR YES SIR!!!"-Felia Straightening her posture, Felia saluted before rushing out the room to hand out the orders to the rest of the staff and students. The Headmaster returned to his chair trying to calm down. If he lost this boy, he would lose the most important student he gotten in awhile. "Not only does he has amazing magical talent he was a member of the Villion family. Though I doubt the Villion family knows he exist, the doesn''t mean his importance is not top priority!"-Headmaster The Headmaster leaned back in his chair with a worried expression. Please Lucca my boy. Please be found. _____________________________________ Currently sitting on a floating chair above a mountain of books was Lucca. In front of him sat the young looking man and Little Yui floating in mid air. The man was giving Lucca a deep stare. Lucca could only try to avoid the stare. The man took the teacup he was sipping from earlier and filled it with tea from the teapot while still keeping an eye on Lucca. What skill.. Lucca laughed nervously in his mind as he waited for a response from the man. "So. Tell me Lucca." The man rained down question on Lucca as he struggled to respond. The questions where like ''Why are you here?'' and ''Why did you get here?''. Finally after awhile, the man said one last question. "How did you come here?" "I came from a teleporter. I was blasted into a room landed on a magic formation then I was teleported here."-Lucca "Is this true Yui?" "Yes Yanicho. Yui saw this two leg appear from the teleporter."-Yui "I see." The man gave Lucca a deep stare once again. Lucca smiled and laughed nervously. After awhile, the mans face formed into a smile. "Sorry sorry. I usually don''t get visitors so I got to make sure your no one dangerous. Since I can see you''re not lying I will trust you for now." Lucca sighed in relief. "But if you where lying..." The mans face turned ugly as his eyebrows bend down and his mouth slightly curled. "Then that means I just have to kill you." The man raised his hand and pointed at Lucca. The surroundings started to shake as Lucca felt like he was being pushed down. His body started to feel heavy. He tried to get up but he couldn''t as he felt his chest compressed to his legs. This story has been stolen from Royal Road. If you read it on Amazon, please report it "Ugghh..."-Lucca "Yanicho! Stop being a meanie! Lucca is a good boy!"-Yui Little Yui was hitting the man on the shoulder softly but it didn''t seem to be affected by the mans magic. Lucca stared at Yui with disbelief. The man raised his hand again and the pressure disappeared. Panting for breath, Lucca raised his body and leaned against the chair. "Hahah sorry Yui." "Yui swear! Yanicho is just a big meanie!"-Yui Little Yui puffed his cheeks. The man just laughed as Lucca finally got his breath back and was able to move again. "What was that... Was that magic...?"-Lucca The man stopped staring at Lucca and smiled at him. "Yes that was gravity magic. The spell was Spatial Pressure. I''m guessing you''re a magician?" "Yes I am. That was an amazing spell though it hurt..."-Lucca The man laughed and smiled more. "What are these books here?"-Lucca "These books are just a collection of mine. They can''t be read by normal every day mortals so I translate them. I only translated four books so far." "Four books?!"-Lucca "Yes these books hold knowledge to lost magic. Be able read it is different from being able to learn from it. I still haven''t touched it." "Huh. So it''s possible to translate but not learn."-Lucca "Precisely. I spent many years in this cavern but never once learned the magic from these books. Translating them was hard enough." Lucca picked up a book and opened it up. He stared down at the book. "Hey. Is this one of the books you translated? It says here ''If thou read thy book, thou shall receive the findings of Elipso.'' Who''s Elipso?"-Lucca The man stared at Lucca with a face full of disbelief. Lucca removed his gaze from the pages and looked back to the man. "Wait... What did you say?" "I said Elipso. Who is that? Is he someone who researched magic because it said his findings."-Lucca "Did you just read that book...?" "Yes? Isn''t this one you translated?"-Lucca "No... I haven''t even picked up that book... All the books I translated is on that table..." The man pointed at the table that had the teacup and teapot. "Huh...?"-Lucca The man got up quickly has he grabbed random books from the pile. He flashed the pages of these books in front of Lucca''s face. "Read this passage!" "''Thou should know thy magic is made to make thou-''"-Lucca "This one!" "''Fold and conquer in front of thy power-''"-Lucca "''Read this one!!!" Book after book, the man continued to push books in front of Lucca''s face till he finally stopped. The man placed the books back on the pile and laughed. Lucca stared at the man with concern. "Yes! I found the one!!!" Getting up the man laughed towards the ceiling of the cavern has he raised his hands. "Lad!" The man took Lucca''s hands has he looked confused. "Show me your ID card now!" "Ehhh..???"-Lucca "Now Lad now!" "B..But.."-Lucca "I said now!" The main gave a mean face as Lucca started to feel is body get heavier. Not hesitating, he took out his ID and showed the man. The man scanned the ID and his grin became huge. He laughed again as if he was going insane. "Four hundred thousand magic power? And Elemental Aptitude of all elements? What''s this? Translation magic Advance level?!" Plus the blessing of the goddess of knowledge, Yvieana. This boy was the person the man was searching for. The one person who will learn the Scions magic and be the number one magic user in the continent. Nay maybe even the world! "My boy! Come with me!" The man took his hand and rushed down the stone path way with Little Yui following behind. "W-Wait! What''s your name?"-Lucca "My name? You can call me Yachino like Yui. Quick lad, stop wasting precious time!"-Yashino Yanicho rushed with Lucca till the finally reached the magical formation that he came from. Yanicho raised his hand an a path of ice appeared across the water. Walking on the path, the ended up at a island that was close to the wall. This island had a little alter and not a table and chair. With books in a pile surrounding the alter, a single black tablet laid on top of the alter. Yanicho walked to the alter and faced Lucca. Little Yui flew to a the book pile and laid down on top. "Lucca! With my help, I will teach you the magics of these books! You will learn them all!"-Yashino Yanicho spread his hands and smiled at Lucca but Lucca drew back a little. The man stared at Lucca. "What is it lad?"-Yanicho "I have to get out of here Yanicho Sir. If I don''t get back from where I came from, I will be in trouble..."-Lucca "Well lad that is going to be hard."-Yanicho "Why is that?"-Lucca "The only exit to this cavern appears once every two years. Same with the entrance. Once either one is used, it takes two years for the exit and entrance to reappear"-Yanicho "So you mean..."-Lucca "Yeah lad, you are stuck here."-Yanicho Lucca bent his knees as he fallen to the ground. So does that mean I will never return...? "Let me ask my lad, where did you come from?" -Yanicho Lucca looked up at Yanicho. "I came from Zelphon Academy."-Lucca "Zelphon Academy huh?"-Yanicho "You know the Academy Yanicho Sir?" "Indeed. I know of the Academy of Zelphon. How about this lad. Stay here with me for two years and let me help you learn this magic. When two years come by then I will personal go with you as you go back to the academy. How does that sound?"-Yanicho "Really? Do you promise?"-Lucca "I promise. In fact."-Yanicho Yanicho got on his knees and raised his hand in the air has he place his hand on Lucca''s shoulders. "I swear to the all the gods that I, Yashino, promise and if I shall break that promise then shall they rain down their wraith upon me."-Yanicho Lucca stared at Yanicho as Yanicho smiled back. Lucca didn''t know what to do. But if what Yanicho said was true then... It wouldn''t be bad if he followed him. Maybe he can learn something that he would never learn at the academy. "So will you stay with me and learn?"-Yanicho "Yes!"-Lucca Yanicho stood up and took Lucca''s hand. He lifted him up and gave him a book. "So do you know the basics of magic?"-Yanicho "The basics of magic? Like the elements and what type of magic that go under them?"-Lucca Lucca started to explain to Yanicho the types of magic he knew. He told him the elements and what type of magic there where. He also told him that he understood that levels mean the power of the magic. "Well that''s the most basic stuff. There are many types of magic. Let me explain."-Yanicho So Yanicho explained. With the making of magic, there a three things a mage needs before creating it. The first thing was choosing and harnessing a elemental magic. A human soul can draw out a element and bring it to their mind. With this the user harnesses the element and control the output and purity of it. The second thing was either using a existing magic spell or using an magical item. The first part is more common to use while the magical item is very rare. By taking the spell, the user can take the essence of the spell and input the element to make the knew magic form. Depending on the level of the magic, the easier it is for the user to control the element and the spell at the same time. "So the more a person practice a magic, the more chances of success will increase because that person is efficient at the magic?"-Lucca "Yes that is certainly true. But there is one more thing that is needed that is the most important part lad."-Yanicho "One more thing?"-Lucca "The last thing that a person needs to make a magic is Imagination."-Yanicho "Imagination?"-Lucca Tilting his head, Lucca stared at Yanicho. Yanicho laughed and raised his hand. In his hand, the area around his palm started to form small parts of earth. "If a user started to make magic, he needed to be able to imagine the magic forming."-Yanicho The earth started to twirl in Yanicho''s palm till it finally compacted and became a rock. "It''s like how I did in my palm. It''s the best I can demonstrate it."-Yanicho Lucca eyes sparkled as he stared at Yanicho. "Though keep in mind. If a person manages to make a new magic, it doesn''t mean that person has full control over it. The magic the person make is not new, it''s just discovered. So that means they have to discover spells that go under that magic. The gods grants the magic to the mortal and the mortal can teach the magic to those who aptitude is under the element."-Yanicho "So does that mean I can learn the magic that other people have made?"-Lucca "Certainly you can! With your magical aptitude, you can learn any magic. How strong it is however is up to you. But you won''t be learning those magic for now."-Yanicho "Then what am I learning? Didn''t you say that you wanted me to learn the magic from those books?"-Lucca "You will be learning magic from these books and tablets! Do you know what these books and tablets are? These where written by the Scions! The most intelligent race in this world that where our ancestors though it is still unknown why they disappeared. I am going to let you read these books and help you learn the magic from them that our ancestors left behind in this world! Are you ready to learn lad?"-Yanicho Lucca took a book and raised it to the ceiling. His eyes where shining with expectation as he smiled. Learning magic from a race that not only Yanicho praised but even is master and the people of the scholars guild worshiped, of course Lucca was excited! He wanted to learn all the magic that these books and tablets had to offer. "Yes!"-Lucca And with that, Lucca was fated to stay in this cavern and learn the magic of the Scions with Yanicho. They Grow Up Fast Chapter 8 Okay! Finally! This chapter took quite awhile because I had to explain a lot of things! I even took out a few things because I remembered I wanted them for another chapter. So this is how the future chapters are going to go down. First off, I will be taking out all the "Thy,Thou, and Thine" I have put in my chapters and will not use them in future. I will go back to chapter six through seven and change those sentences and also fix the grammar errors. The second thing I will do is every five chapters I will do a side chapter. In those chapters I will explain more things about the plot of the story, add short stories of the characters, and even answer some questions from the you readers if I know I was not going to put it in the future chapters or just to please you fine folk. And the final thing is the Story Arcs in order! I know! Exciting! :D Arc order: New Life Arc(The two years in the library are part of this arc and not the school arc) Magical School Arc Kingdom Tournament Arc Continent''s Strongest Arc Challenge of the Gods Arc One True Champion Arc And more to be thought of later. Now for the Magical School Arc. I have an idea on how I am going to write it and I can''t say how many chapters that is going to be but I can guarantee that this arc will be more then ten chapters. Maybe twenty chapters. As for the rest of the arcs after that, I can''t say I have an idea on how I am going to write those. I am still coming with ideas but I think I will focus more on the Magical School Arc and maybe near the end of that Arc I will finally have an idea on how I want to handle the Kingdom Tournament Arc. Now the last thing I wanted to talk to you guys about is the news of chapter one through four being re-edited. I can accept and say I blundered those chapters. So I am going to take time to go back and rewrite every single chapter. The chapters will be longer this time and might even include things that you guys recommended to me and some things that I should have put in those first few chapters. So look forward to them after chapter ten is released. As always, I looked forward to your comments, advice, and even questions! I hope you enjoy reading this chapter and thank you for reading! To all future readers! This Chapter is very plot heavy and may contain very heavy paragraphs. You have been warned! ________________________________________ For two years straight. Lucca spent his entire time in the library of the Scions learning the magic they left behind as much as he could. The books and tablets not only described many types of magic, they also included methods of increasing Attack Power and also many fighting techniques that were lost generations ago. They also listed many recipes for medicine and so much blacksmith techniques. He read the books like he was digesting them like cookies. Even learned a few things outside the books from Yanicho. When Yanicho learned that Lucca didn''t understand the principles of magic and the history many kingdoms plus not being able to write, he couldn''t allow such a thing. So every day Lucca practiced writing and learned the history of all the kingdoms. This is what Lucca''s weekly schedule consisted of. Day 1: Wake up early morning (A.N: Around three in the morning. I decided to make it based off our time to make it easier for readers to understand.) Book Study: Four hours Breakfast: Ten minutes Personal Studies: Three hours and Forty minutes Lunch: Half an hour Magical Practice: Five hours and Thirty minutes Combat Exercise and Technique Practice: Five hours Book Study: Six hours into day Two Day 2: Book Study: Four hours continuing on from Day 1 Small Break: Three hours Breakfast: Ten minutes Personal Studies: Three hours and Forty minutes Lunch: Half an hour Magical Practice: Five hours and Thirty minutes Combat Exercise and Technique Practice: Five hours Book Study: Six hours into day Three Day 3: Book Study: Four hours continuing on from Day 2 Small Break: Three hours Breakfast: Ten minutes Personal Studies: Three hours and Forty minutes Lunch: Half an hour Magical Practice: Five hours and Thirty minutes Combat Exercise and Technique Practice: Five hours Book Study: Six hours into day Four Day 4: Book Study: Four hours continuing on from Day 3 Small Break: Three hours Breakfast: Ten minutes Personal Studies: Three hours and Forty minutes Lunch: Half an hour Magical Practice: Five hours and Thirty minutes Combat Exercise and Technique Practice: Five hours Sleep: Four hours into day Five Day 5: Wake up early morning.(Two in the morning.) Book Study: Four hours Breakfast: One hour Personal Studies: Four hours Lunch: Half an hour Magical Practice: Five hours and Thirty minutes Combat Exercise and Technique Practice: Five Hours Book Study: Six hours into day Six Day 6: Book Study: Four hours continuing on from Day 5 Small Break: Three hours Breakfast: Ten minutes Personal Studies: Three hours and Forty minutes Lunch: Half an hour Magical Practice: Five hours and Thirty minutes Combat Exercise and Technique Practice: Five hours Book Study: Six hours into day 7 Day 7: Book Study: Four hours continuing on from Day 3 Small Break: Three hours Breakfast: Ten minutes Personal Studies: Three hours and Forty minutes Lunch: Half an hour Magical Practice: Five hours and Thirty minutes Combat Exercise and Technique Practice: Five hours Sleep: Five hours into day 1 At Book Study, Lucca spent most of his time reading the books and deciphering them as he learned the contents of the text. He only spent ten minutes every day on breakfast because his Hunger Resistance helped him not have the need to consume a lot of food. Though he had to eat a lot during Lunch for his Combat Exercise because the amount of energy had for the practice very low so the stress of the practice was consuming his energy rapidly but he got used to it. In Personal Studies, Lucca used that time to finally learn how to write which took him two weeks and learned all the history of the kingdoms in one month. The rest of the time he just used that time to learn other things that Yanicho knew that was different from magical principles. These things included Alchemy skills, Medicine recipes, and even many magical terms used in scholars research papers. These terms where different from what the Scions use. Of course he learned as much as Yanicho could teach him in two years. Magical Practice was the time that Lucca used to practice his magic and spells. During this time Yanicho taught the principles of magic to Lucca so he could learn magic with much ease. Though Yanicho only had to teach the principles for only three months. Of course Lucca took breaks to make up for his physical strain to go away. His Pain Resistance advanced all the way to Advance Level. With twelve months of feeling pain from physical strain, he didn''t feel the pain no more. The doesn''t mean he can''t feel pain. If he where to gain a mortal wound or one of his limbs where removed then he would feel that pain. Of course that meant the Pain Resistance didn''t cover mental pain. That was Emotional Resistance which is weird how Lucca never gained this Body Enhancement since he went through many emotional trauma from his mother leaving him to his adoptive mother dying and many other events that happened in his childhood of growing up in the forest of Deruma. With the most of the time used involved with learning from the books and tablets, He attained different types of magic. Most the books where mostly a series of books that listed mostly spells but each series had one book that taught the user how to use the magic. With the blessing of the goddess of wisdom and the Intelligence Enhancement being Advanced level helped Lucca absorb the information he wanted three times quicker then a normal person can learn. It also helped him learn the magic from the text that even his master couldn''t do. He also learned how to write and attained all knowledge of history of each kingdom in the continent. With Yanicho''s help on the principles of magic, Lucca advanced quickly in harnessing his magic. He could even cast it without even chanting. Apparently Yanicho could do the same. One day during Magical Practice, Lucca asked Yanicho how he was able to cast magic without chanting, Yanicho told Lucca that he had a secret method. Showing Lucca his pendant, the pendant was a strange orange crystal that had weird symbols on it. Circled around the middle of the crystal where bands of gold that pierced the surface of the crystal. Yanicho told Lucca he found this pendant when he first came to the library of the Scions. He also explained that the pendant allowed the wearer the ability to cast magic without chanting and even took less then half the power consumed in using magic. Giving Lucca a pendant of his own, Lucca process of learning the magic of the Scions increased even further. Though with his little time he had in the library, He managed to learn forty two different types of magic. More then half of them where at least Beginner level. But the last fifteen of them where intermediate and above. (A.N: I was going to list the magic he learned in this chapter but I though that wouldn''t be very fun! So I decided to list a few as a teaser. And no, I''m not doing this because I haven''t thought of any magic! :P (I lied XD I only came up with like sixteen but it counts!!)) Out of all forty two, Lucca had three favorite magic. The first one was Flying Magic. This magic allowed the user to soar in the air and even cast it down onto others. All though you could use Gravity Magic to make your self float, the only thing you can do is hover above the ground and make your body move like it was being pushed. With Flying Magic, It allowed the user to freely move around as it can increase the speed of the flight. Of course Lucca tested this with his Blessing Magic and made a way to increase the speed by five times. The second magic was Disaster Magic. This magic combined different types of elements. Those elements where Fire, Earth, Wind, and Water. The magic that was combined was Inferno Magic, Terra Magic, Storm Magic, and Ice Magic. Taking each of the elements and magic, the magic itself produced storms that where on the calamity level. Even though this spell was only in the Beginner Level it still had the power of a average Intermediate Level magic. Even the thought of power that it could produce at Advance Level made Lucca shiver. The final magic that he favored was Necromancy Magic. This magic allowed the process of taking the souls of the dead and control them by possessing them through dead bodies or demons. With the help of understanding the soul from the Necromancy Magic, Lucca felt like he had in increase in his inner self. But Lucca didn''t know that the protection that protected his soul increased by a hundred fold. In this world there wasn''t many magic that damaged the soul but there was still a few. Necromancy Magic was one of those magics. If a person was wounded by a soul attacking spell, they will lose the power to use any magic and suffer a wound that may destroy the very person themselves. Though the person themselves won''t die, they will remain like an empty shell with no feelings of emotion or desire. Of course a person can survive against a soul attack allowing their magic to come back. This happened more times than the person losing everything. If you spot this tale on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation. Aside from the magic, Lucca also managed to raise his Attack Power all the way to one hundred thousand. The training methods from the text were excellent but he couldn''t fully bring out the full results to the training. Yanicho couldn''t help him with the training because he never had an interest in that type of area. So Lucca had to learn by him self. With the help of his skills and the Magical Beast in the cavern, he managed to attain a high rank of power. Unlike Magic Power, Attack Power had it''s own set of ranks which labeled how strong a person was. The ranks are as follows. Normal Rank: 100 Attack Power Adventure Rank: 500 Attack Power Knight Rank: 1000 Attack Power General Rank: 10000 Attack Power War General Rank: 100000 Attack Power Ruler Rank: 500000 Attack Power Not many people have reached the Ruler rank before and none have went passed the limit of the rank. Of course raising Attack Power was entirely different from increasing magical power. For every rank of power, Magic Power was two times ahead in terms of strength. Meaning if a Knight Ranked person tried to win against a person with a thousand Magical Power, they will lose. Of course the court mages with around one hundred thousand Magic Power could never beat a Ruler Rank person. It takes around fifty of them to even make the Ruler Rank person admit defeat much less kill them. Of course one of those fifty court mages with one hundred thousand Magic Power can easily win against a War General Rank. But that doesn''t mean a War General Ranked person could not beat a person with one hundred thousand Magical Power. In terms of strength they where even more or less. Lucca even attained the Body Enhancement, Strength Enhancement from his constant training. This Enhancement increased the power of his Attack Power by two fold. It was Intermediate Level. Unfortunately Lucca couldn''t raise his Magic Power. He didn''t know why and asked Yanicho about it. But Yanicho didn''t have an answer for his question and told him maybe he could find a way if he found a book or tablet in the library but Lucca had no luck. Yanicho however was very surprised that Lucca could learn the training methods from the text and increased his Attack Power. Even though Yanicho couldn''t help Lucca with the training, Yanicho at least helped Lucca make his weapons by guiding him on the process of making magical weapons. Lucca had three types of weapons. The first one was a long rod that was made with metal from Kroncles back. This metal was said to be one of the top three toughest metals in the world that can be found by normal means. Of course there are way stronger metals, it was second to none in terms of quality. With the tip of the rod opening like a huge casing, inside the casing was a mana crystal the size of a fist. Each parts of the crystal where different types of elements making the entire crystal infused with essences of all the elements. This rod increased the power behind Lucca spells by two fold. Of course it made up for magic consumption but that didn''t matter to Lucca since he had Mana Absorption and Mana regeneration which where both at or above Intermediate Level plus the pendant made the amount of magic Lucca used not even faze him. Of course Lucca was careful not to use to much magic to burn him self out and allow him self to explode with magical energy. Interesting enough, he found that his Energy Magic can also increase how much Magical Power he can regenerate and all so harness elements before casting his magic. This increased his power behind his spells immensely but that proved the risk of his burning him self so he moderately had to summon spells. But Lucca could cast around fifteen different types of spells in succession depending on the spells themselves before he had to take a while till the next time he could cast. For example if it was low powered spells then he could cast them fifteen times in succession. But if it was a spell from a magic that consumed a lot of magical energy like Disaster Magic then Lucca could only use it once before needing to wait. Depending on how much Magic power a person has depends on how much magical energy they can use and what power of spell they can produce. Of course Lucca with such a high amount of Magic Power could even cast spells from the Disaster Magic more then thirty times. But there was the risk of burning out and exploding so he couldn''t risk that. Lucca actually tested his limits during Magical Practice so he knew what his limit was. If Lucca kept practicing his magic then in the future he can increase his limit. The second weapon was a two handed broadsword that weighed around one ton with it''s massive size. This sword was made with a different metal from the rod called Dragonite. Dragonite is a metal that is collected from the scales of a dragon which if melted down to liquid form can harden and transform into a metal. This metal was considered part of the top ten strongest metals that are hard to obtain due to dragons being so tough to kill. Questioning on how strong the scales where, Lucca asked how does one person kill a dragon. A dragon with such strong Physical Defense could not be damaged by physical attacks and also can''t be damaged by magical attacks due to the dragon having a strong Magical Defense. Yanicho explained that dragons have certain openings on their body due to the soft parts of it body. These places can be attacked due to the scales not protecting those areas and the Magical Defense only covers the scales. Of course the eyes of the dragon was also a weak point. So the way adventures and people high in power usually dealt with a dragon was one group attacked the eyes with magic as the other group finds the weak points and attacked those areas. It all ways required a person to be in a group of people to take down a dragon. Though there was some chances in history where one single person took down a dragon with just their power but those people where all Ruler Ranked people. No mage can take down a dragon with out the help of a group. This has never be done in history. Dragons where ranked fifth in terms of power out of all Magical Beast. Of course there are things that a Ruler Ranked person can''t take on by themselves. Anything ranked forth and above in terms of power among the Magical Beast was not something a Ruler Ranked person can kill by themselves but of course Yanicho explained to Lucca to not worry about meeting these Magical Beast due to the fact they never really appear. The chances of a Magical Beast of that caliber to be born are one to a million which made it very rare. Of course there have been times that these Magical Beast where brought into the world. To take down the forth ranked Magical Beast, an force of an entire kingdom was required to take it down. The amount of power needed to take down a Magical Beast the was ranked third was around three kingdoms combined. Lastly it took all the kingdoms in the continent to take down a Magical Beast who possess the power of a second ranked. The first ranked Magical Beast was a existence that not even the full power of all the kingdoms in the continent could handle. This Magical Beast was said to have the power to wipe out all the kingdoms and still have power to wipe them out again. Though the only times this type of Magical Beast appeared in this world was only during the Scion''s time. It was said that it this Magical Beast might be the reason behind the disappearance of the Scion race. The number of times these Magical Beast ranked forth to third only appeared twice in the entire history of since the disappearance of the Scion race. A Magical Beast that appeared in the past with the power of a second rank only appeared in history was once and it nearly wiped out all the kingdoms but this was centuries ago. So Yanicho reassured him there was a low chance he was going to meet them. Even so, Yanicho warned him about dragons because the chances of him meeting one was much more then the chances of him meeting a Magical Beast forth rank or higher. The sword was around three feet long as it had spikes poking out of the hilt of the broadsword with the color of the blade being pitch black. The sword was enchanted by Blessing Magic which allowed the sword to absorb magic and allow it take the magic to coat the surface of the blade. This allowed the blade to have much more power to it and also posses the skills of the spell that was absorbed by it to be used just by swinging it. The final weapon was a long ranged weapon. It was an enchanted bow using the wood of the great mana tree of the west. Said to be the longest living tree in the world, this tree absorbed the mana not only from the land but a couple kingdoms in whole. It was treated as a sacred land mark. But parts of the tree where allowed to be taken and examined by a select few scholars. Yanicho was one of those scholars. The wood of the great mana tree absorbed the magic that is poured in it and pushes it out as energy. This allowed the arrows that where used on the bow to absorb the magical energy and be used as an attack. The bow was beautiful with the surface glowing with magical energy and the surface of the bow was decorated with ruins that allowed the user to not use to much magical energy when using the bow. The string was just a normal piece of string made from the wool of a Dodin. Dodin are small little sheep like creatures that have two large horns on their head. All Dodin are peaceful but when a they are aggravated they are a force to behold. This string was made through the process of Alchemy so it was enchanted with the strength to handle the power of the wood. Of course this was not a weapon that Lucca will use a lot. Even with the use of arrows, he could only carry so much. Lucca had a device that Yanicho gave him which allowed him to store all his items and materials into one area. This device was call Spatial Storage. Yanicho made this item years ago in his youth. This Device used the space that was not in this dimension. It used the power of Space Magic which the device was in the shape of a bracelet. In the middle of the bracelet was a small energy crystal that had the Space Magic written on it. By saying the word "Spatial Open." a window will pop open in front of the user and show what was in the Spatial Storage space. By putting the item on the window, the window absorbs the item and leaves it in the Spatial Storage. Of course if the item or material is to large then user can say "Spatial Absorb". The amount of items that can be hold depends on what it is. Materials can be stored without a limit to how much that can be stored. Items where different. Due to Items being a much more different type of combination of matter itself, it took way more space. So Yanicho choose to set the limit on how much space that an item can have to around ninety nine of that item. Yanicho did this to be safe. Of course the device can only store materials and items. It couldn''t store living organisms or elements. Though Lucca didn''t have much time to learn the magic from the library. He gained many skills and magic plus he improved his academics. He didn''t have time to take care of his looks so his dark brown hair started to grow down to his waist and his face grew much more mature these past two years. His body which was skinny before was now firm with muscles including having biceps and abs. He grew taller and was now around six feet tall. Even his eyes changed to the color of blue with a hint of white all around the iris. If one where to say how Lucca looked, they would say he looked like a very beautiful man that many would die for to achieve those looks. Now it was the day that the entrance and exit of the cavern reappeared. Lucca has gathered all his things and was eating a little breakfast. "Lucca are you ready to go?"-Yanicho "Yes Yanicho! I got everything prepared."-Lucca "Good then. Come lad, the teleporter is ready."-Yanicho They made their way to the magic formation and they stood on top of it. Looking back Lucca noticed that Little Yui wasn''t coming along. "Yui isn''t coming with us?"-Lucca "No. Magical Beast can''t use the teleporter remember?"-Yanicho "Ahh, you''re right. Sorry Yui."-Lucca Lucca bowed his head has his expression said he was sorry. "It''s okay. Yui is the best Magical Beast in the world so Yui will be fine."-Yui Little Yui smiled at Lucca with a big smile which melted his heart. "I promise that I will come back! And with snacks too!"-Lucca "Really! Yui wants something sweet!"-Yui "Then I will bring something sweet."-Lucca "Yay!"-Yui Little Yui twirled in circles as he expressed his joy. Both Lucca and Yanicho smiled warmly at Yui. It was sad to leave such a heart warming creature. "Okay Lad it''s time to go."-Yanicho "Bye Lucca. Bye Yanicho!"-Yui They both said goodbye to Little Yui and Yanicho used the teleporter sending both him and Lucca to the academy. Yui stood there for awhile as if wishing the two of them would come back. "Yanicho. Lucca. Yui loves you both. Yui hopes both of you will come back soon."-Yui The small Little Yui cried softly as it stared at the magic formation. It was quiet that day in the library of the Scions. It''s like everything inside the library was depressed over the fact that two important people where gone. Little Yui missed them the most as its tears fell down from its big sparkling eyes. First Day Chapter 9 Okay Chapter Nine! Yay! Okay now before you guys rant about Lucca not showing his ID to the Headmaster, the reason because it won''t be shown in Chapter Nine but it will be explained in Chapter Ten so don''t worry you will get your long waited enjoyment from the shock that others receive from the op MC. So only one thing that needs to be said about this chapter. One thing that needs to be mentioned is a written part of the chapter. There is a part of the chapter that I find long and boring myself so I put the text ''Long Text* before the part starts. If you see this then skip it if you want to. It just giving a general look at Lucca''s adventure through the academy and description of the dorms plus the dorm room. Now with that out of the way I got only one news for you in this chapter. So Chapter Ten is coming up and that is the side chapter. After thinking for a while and writing this chapter. I have decided to release Chapter Eleven with Chapter Ten. So for now on, after every side chapter that comes out an additional main chapter will be released. So you have an option to skip the side chapter if you want. Okay like usual please comment, give advice, and ask questions! You better do it now in this chapter because Chapter Ten will be written in Twelve Hours. Thank you for reading~ ________________________ It has been two whole years since the disappearance of Lucca. The Headmaster finally gave up searching for Lucca and was mourning over the loss of such a magnificent student. They spent four whole months trying to find Lucca by making not only the staff of the academy look but even the students of each year. But even with four thousand people looking for one student at the same time, they couldn''t find them plus the students and the staff couldn''t be much help because classes where not allowed to be canceled. So after four months of no success whatsoever, the Headmaster finally decided to get the kingdoms law enforcement and army involved. With their help, the search can spread out to areas that students and staff couldn''t go to due to it being dangerous. But after six months of this, even the army gave up. The Headmaster was at his wits end. The Headmaster even spoke to the other students that were part of the Villion clan asking them if they knew where Lucca disappeared because he came from their clan. But each one of them said that they didn''t know Lucca. They also said with deep disgusted faces that Lucca was not a member of the Villion clan and that many families in the kingdom always tries to copy the clan name to make it seem like their family is part of the clan. The Headmaster knew of this. In fact he knew many families that are of born outside major clans try to use the major clans name so they can enter the clans but the Headmaster already viewed Lucca''s ID and a ID can''t lie. A ID was an device that showed the true identity of a person so Lucca couldn''t change his name on it but the students didn''t care and let it go in one ear and out the other while requesting to go back to class. The Headmaster gave up after everything was done. Now it''s been two years and there is still no signs of him anywhere. The Headmaster was stressing so much that he even started to drink again. "Ahhh... Lucca where are you..."-Headmaster _______________________________ The room that Lucca stumbled in and got teleported from started to glow white as the magical formation shined. There Lucca and Yanicho slowly appeared upon the formation. Both of them stood there a few minutes with their eyes closed till finally they opened and looked around slowly. "Phew... I really can''t used to that..."-Lucca "Teleporting magic is amazing but for humans, it''s like being trapped in a never ending standstill."-Yanicho "I can agree to that!"-Lucca "Okay enough with the small talk. You remember why we came here?"-Yanicho "Yes. I need to get to the Headmaster''s office. I have to inform the Headmaster I returned."-Lucca "Then you lead the way."-Yanicho "Sir yes sir!"-Lucca Leading the way, Lucca headed out the room with Yanicho and towards the Headmaster''s office. It was in the middle of the day so classes where still going on. Students that were heading towards their classes where shocked by the appearance of two people coming out a room that is part of the forbidden room list. The stares and whispers increased all the way till Lucca and Yanicho reached the Headmaster''s Office. Both of them finally reached the door to the office. Knocking on the door softly, a low depressed voice commanded them to come in. Lucca and Yanicho quickly entered the door and closed it behind them shut. "Who were those people?" "I don''t know but they came out of one of the forbidden rooms. Now they entered the the Headmaster''s office." "Eh?! So they''re important people?" "It seems so, why would they come from a room that was forbidden if they weren''t?" The gossip of the students started to spread like wild fire as it consumed the entire school but of course like every rumor, it changes into something different. Teen gossip was truly frightening. _________________________________ "Come in..."-Headmaster The Headmaster sighed as he told the person who knocked on the door to enter. Deep in his mind he hoped that it was Lucca coming back but he knew he was wrong which made him sigh even more. When the door opened the footsteps entered the room. The Headmaster just stared at his papers in his desk as he drank from his cup of wine. "Yes. What is it? If it''s a report of any kinda then just leave it on my desk. If it''s something that needs to be spoken verbally then please talk away, I promise that I am listening."-Headmaster The Headmaster didn''t even bother even looking at the person who entered the room. The person who entered cleared his throat. "Well now. Why isn''t it Lucias. Still keeping my school in check? Yes?" "Your school? Who are you to- Master Yanicho!? You''re back?!"-Lucias Lucias picked up his head to scold the person who claimed to own the school but stopped himself as he saw the face of the schools original owner. His face went into full shock as his eyes bulged in disbelief. "M-M-Master Y-Yanicho! Please excuse this servants rude remarks!"-Lucias Getting up, Lucias went around his desk to the front and bowed down to Yanicho all the way down to his knees till his head made contact with the floor. He said ''Please forgive me for my actions!'' over and over again. Yanicho bent down and patted Lucias on the shoulder. "Stand Lucias. It''s fine. Please face me."-Yanicho "Yes master!"-Lucias Getting up faster then a bolt of lighting, Lucias stood stiff in front of Yanicho. Yanicho laughed and told him not be so formal. Lucias after finally half an hour of stating over and over again that isn''t how a proper servant acted, he finally gave in when Yanichi ordered it. "So master, may I ask where you been for forty years?"-Lucias "I was doing my personal studies of course. I got absorbed in doing them so I am sorry for leaving you in charge of my academy for so long."-Yanicho "Don''t think any of it master! Your studies are much more important!"-Lucias "Hahaha then I will continue them. But this time I will continue them here."-Yanicho "S-S-So does that mean you''re coming back to the academy?"-Lucias "Indeed. It''s been awhile so I might be little rusty but please take care of me Lucias."-Yanicho "Yes maser! It''s an honor to serve under you again master and personal pleasure of mine!"-Lucias "Hahaha. I look forward to working with you again. Now Lucias, I believe you met my disciple before? It seems he was enrolled into this school two years ago."-Yanicho "Disciple? Master has a disciple? If I met a disciple of master I am pretty sure I would have known they were master''s disciple."-Lucias "Mmm... Then let me introduce him. Lucca, why don''t you introduce your self to Lucias here."-Yanicho "Yes Yanicho."-Lucca Huh... That voice sounds familiar... Even though it sounds a bit mature for its pitch it really sounds like a voice I heard before. And isn''t Lucca the name of th... OH MY SWEET VILATINA! Lucca from behind Yanicho and showed him self. Lucias jaw dropped as his eyes bulged even more then when his master appeared. "Nice to meet you. My name is Lucca M. Bear. My teacher is Sir Yanicho here. Even though he may be a push over sometimes and says rude things, please excuse him."-Lucca "Oy Lucca, what is with the ''Sir'' and the other rude remarks? You want to find your self trapped in a hole for four months?"-Yanicho "Certainly not Yanicho! I don''t remember what I said so can you tell me what happened?"-Lucca "Witty brat. Humpf, you''re lucky I like you."-Yanicho "That''s why I cherish my relationship with you Yanicho."-Lucca Watching the exchange between Lucca and Yanicho, Lucias changed his view from Yanicho to Lucca and back again a dozen times till he finally had the everything figured out in his head. "S-S-So Lucca was with master this whole time since he disappeared...?"-Lucias "More or less yes."-Yanicho "A-A-And he became your disciple...?"-Lucias "Yes! How many times do we have to tell you Lucias?"-Yanicho "How did this happen! Please Explain Master?!"-Lucias So Lucca and Yanicho told how it all began to Lucias. Lucca who got lost in the academy was accidently teleported to where Yanicho was. Finding Lucca, they both had a small exchange till they finally came to an agreement. Since the teleporter didn''t work for two years, Lucca was to stay with Yanicho and learn from him. They left out the part of Lucca learning the Scion''s magic, his increase in Attack Power, the weapons he made, and the fact that Lucca could use magic without chanting anything. They did however tell the parts of him learning how to write and the history of the kingdoms plus the magic principle lessons. Enjoying the story? Show your support by reading it on the official site. "So that''s what happened. Well it''s great that you''re both back."-Lucias "You sound less surprised after hearing that story Lucias. You easily believe what we said?"-Yanicho "Well I can''t say I''m not surprised at all. And if it''s coming from Master and a student like Lucca then the unbelievable makes sense. But what are you gong to do? Are you going to let Lucca join the first years? With what he learned from you, he doesn''t need to attend this school."-Lucias "No, Lucca will attend this school. It needs to go under his record that he graduated from this school for future use. Since his knowledge out ranks those of the first years then he will be placed in with the six years. If he joined two years before the graduation ceremony and graduated after then it would look much more believable. If anyone looked up his record, they will just think he was some young prodigy who just happens to be four years behind in age from his classmates."-Yanicho "Ah I see. Then that means you are going to accept him into the school? The school year is only half way done so it wouldn''t be a problem if he joined as a transfer student."-Lucias "Yes I couldn''t say it better my self."-Yanicho __________________________________________- Long Text* So Lucca, Lucias, and Yanicho got all of Lucca''s paperwork done and Lucca signed a new contract because he could write this time unlike the last time. With that they go everything in order as Lucias was ordered by Yanicho to lead Lucca around the school and show him his dorm. He was instructed that since Lucca was his pupil that he deserved the first class dorms which are held by the rich. Showing him the entire school, Lucca made a mental map in his head as he saw the sight of the many classes and different students. He even was shown the club rooms and practice areas plus the student facilities which included a library. Lucca fell in love with the library at first sight because the library was so large that you couldn''t see the end of the bookshelves. He wanted to stay so bad in fact he ran straight away and started to pick books off the shelves at a fast pace but Lucias dragged him away by the scruff of his collar. After showing Lucca the final student facility, Lucias showed Lucca the way to the dorms. The path to the dorms was a long red bricked path with flowers growing around the path on each side. The path was connected by two courtyards with gardens full of many plants. There seemed to be a rest area in these courtyards for a person to relax. It was a place that Lucca wanted to relax in. Only a couple yards from those courtyards where the student dorms. The student dorms were the half the size of the academy. Lucca''s eyes popped out when he saw this. Lucca was currently stunned. In front of him was a gigantic room. In the middle of the room was two three seater sofas with a living room table in the middle. From the left side of the room, a majestic bed lined against the wall with a couple nightstands that where half the size of the bed and dressers beside each of those nightstands. To the left of the bed was a walk in closet that was at least one forth as big as the room itself. The Kitchen was on the right of the room and so was the bathroom. They both where the same size as the walk in closet. And to the left of the bed was the entrance to the outside balcony that was at least two fourths the size of the room that lined against the wall and spread outwards. The balcony was lined with plants all around the outside with two sets of tables and outside chairs plus two benches. To Lucca this room was amazing looking. Now it wasn''t on the same scale as the library of Scions but if it was compared to other places he had been, this room topped them. Sitting down on the sofa, Lucca sighed in amazement and praise to his teacher for giving him an amazing room. After settling down, Lucca noticed he was to tired. So he decided to fall asleep on top of his new bed. The instant he fell on top of the bed, he knocked out. Lucca just slept on the bed with a smile on his face. __________________________________________________ The next day came as Lucca got up quickly and changed his clothes. Taking his uniform from the Spatial Storage, he quickly washed up and went straight to the balcony. Casting Flying Magic and a Speed Enhancement spell, Lucca rocketed through the air at a fast speed. The sight of the school came to Lucca in a matter of seconds as he made sure to land him self down on one of the schools balconies. He quickly made way to his school adviser to get his classes arranged. Once he got there, he was quickly pulled aside as his classes flew into his hands. Apparently Yanicho selected his classes from beforehand so Lucca had no problems with them. His Classes: Advance Terraolgy IV Advance PyroAquanics IV History of Space Magic and Findings X Advance Beastology and Summoning IV Storm and Destruction Magic Study X Advance Magical and Combat Skills X Advance Beastology and Summoning IV was the first class Lucca had in the morning. After that was Advance Terraolgy, PyroAquanic, and History of Space Magic and Findings. The afternoon classes were Storm and Destruction Magic Study X and Advance Magical and Combat Skills. Lucca guessed that the number next to the class was a way to show what part of the year the class was under. Memorizing his list in a matter of seconds, he went straight to his first class. Lucca opened the door of his first class and was greeted with the roar of a giant Magical Beast. It shook the glass windows as his clothes fluttered like a wind was trying to pull them away. He stared at the beast that was next to a man that looked like he could not win in a fight if he tried to. His glasses where large with his untidy hair falling on top of them. He had a lab coat to wear including a striped suit right underneath it. This man must have been the professor Lucca thought. The beast next to him happened to be a Galioth. It was a red Magical Beast that stood on two feet with hands that where the size of chairs and huge tusk around its mouth. It was around fifteen feet tall as it loomed over the man as snot fell from the Galioth''s snout and landed right on his back but the man didn''t notice. "That is what a Galioth''s cry sounds like. It shatters the will of any other Magical Beast, Animal, or Demon that is weaker than them. This allows the Galioth to snatch down their pray with their giant hands and crush their skulls." Lucca took a look at the students on the opposite end of the classroom. The reactions of the students was half and half. One half was either bored or just took notes like it was a normal class. The other half was terrified out of their skin. Some were hiding under their books while others just sat still as if petrified. The Professor stopped his lecture and turned to Lucca as to seem to notice him before he started to give his lecture. "Ah you must be the transfer student the Headmaster told me so about. You''re name is Lucca right?" "Ah. Yes."-Lucca Hearing Lucca''s name made the entire class start to murmur amongst each other. The man coughed loudly to quiet down the students. "Okay then you need to come with me. We have a few things to get done this morning. The rest of the class will do self study. The Galioth will go around the class room so please study it." Now the half that was bored or taking the class like normal seemed to panic while the other half that was scared before seemed confused by the reactions of the first half. The Professor just walked passed Lucca as he told him to close the door and follow him which he did. Screams could be heard from that door as Lucca walked away. Leading Lucca three hallways down and into the first room on the right, Lucca found him self in the summoning room. "This ro-" "This room is used to summon Magical Beast so people with Summoning magic can summon them later."-Lucca "Ohohoh. You know your stuff. Then do you know the process of the summoning?" "Yes."-Lucca "Great then, we can just get started without delay." The Professor made the finishing touches to the magic formation in the middle of the room. Candles circled around the formation as a small offering of animal meat was placed in the middle of the formation. Lucca walked in front of the magic formation while the Professor stood ten feet away from him. Lucca started to chant. All though he could just cast the magic because of his pendant, Yanicho forbid him from using it in the school unless told so. So he had to settle for chanting. "From the world filled with nature. Magical Beast that rule the land. Come now and be summoned! Summoning Magic!"-Lucca A giant flash of light engulfed the room as the blinding light felt like it could burn the soul of a mere mortal he they continued to stare at it. After a few seconds of the light shining from the magic formation, both the Professor and Lucca stopped covering their eyes. In front of them was Little Yui. "Yui?!"-Lucca "Lucca? Lucca!!!"-Yui Screaming, Little Yui flew towards Lucca as it hugged Lucca''s face. Little Yui was crying as it clung. "Lucca! Lucca!! Yui missed you! Yui was sad you two left! Waaaaaaaaah!!!"-Yui The Magical Beast that Lucca managed to summon was Little Yui. Now Little Yui was crying nonstop while Lucca gave a confused expression on whats happening as he tried to comfort Yui the best way he can. Side Chapter part 2 Chapter 10 [Fully Updated] Okay Side chapter hell yeah! Chapters 1-4 are done too! Whoot Whoot! Please go back to reread them if you want. Okay I was going to use this chapter to make use of explaining certain things and include a side story. But first things first. I want to apologize to two people: Growl and ddg Now I know I just responded to them because I want to explain a few things but I came off a bit rude and felt bad. Just because of that, in Chapter Eleven there has been a switch in plans. So Chapter Ten won''t be released with Chapter Eleven. Chapter Eleven will be released eighteen hours later then Chapter Ten. Chapter Eleven is going to have some content in it that I was planning on leaving till the fourth arc but choose to put it in Chapter Eleven as an apology so this makes part of the entire plot change. The Magical School Arc will no longer be called Magical School Arc. It will now be called Rise of the Academy Arc. Now there are two reasons why this new content in Chapter Eleven will change the entire plot. Reason One: The plot for Magical School Arc was supposed to just show the rise of power with Lucca and his new friends. Once they gained that power they will then go off to the Kingdom Tournament Arc. But with the content that is coming from the fourth arc, this changes the plans of the first part of the Magical School Arc. This change also changes the third arc and even the fourth arc but it hardly effects the fifth and above. Though it hardly changes the fifth arc and above, the change in plot from two to four are big. Because it changes arc number seven through nine. Which are the most important arcs in the story that I have written down so far. Reason Two: The characters that are introduced early makes the shift in power between the MC and the other characters increase by a lot. These were things that the MC was supposed to fight at a much later date. Now the reason I decided to do this? With the new content in Chapter Eleven and the new arc made this entire plot I had set up evolved even further then I first thought of it and made arcs seven through nine which never existed till the arc Rise of the Academy came around. Also, I am doing this to say sorry for coming of rude because I never want to be rude to my readers, they inspire me. So here is the list of arcs: New Life Arc Rise of the Academy Arc (Not a school arc) Kingdom Tournament Arc Continents Strongest Arc Challenge of the Gods Arc One True Champion Arc War of the Gods Arc Retribution Arc Shattered Memories Arc Okay the reason why Lucca didn''t show his stats to Lucias was because the headmaster has told him before going to the academy again to not tell the truth about his abilities. While said he has done a awful job on that (Which is why I allowed it.) he still managed to keep a good job in keeping at least 80% of his secrets. That being said, with the up and coming festival, the only time Lucca is allowed to reveal is power if a power event were to go down which is what Yanicho instructed him to do. Now I need to explain about Little Yui. Little Yui is what the other readers kept commenting on, a Magical Beast of high rank. Now I won''t reveal what rank or what type of beast Little Yui is. But I will reveal the fact the Little Yui will be getting a transformation into adulthood during the current arc to reveal what type of magic beast she is. No further knowledge will be revealed. Now for the major clans. There are six major clans as there are elements. The clans are in order. Fire Clan: Fidosh Water Clan: Reino Earth Clan: Caron Wind Clan: Poqilzo Light Clan: Villion Dark Clan: Yukaso (Only the dark god Helianos blesses this clan) Each of these clans are the strongest in terms of those Elemental Magics. And finally more info will be given during chapter 15 that will be strictly info and no side story. Please enjoy this side story about how Lucca meet the goddess of nature, Reinia. _______________________________ It was mid summer as the heat rays rained down upon the forest of Deruma. Currently right now Lucca was six years old. He only two feet tall and didn''t even have long dark brown hair. His eyes still sparkled green with hints of blue in them and when he smiled with his grin, a missing tooth could be seen. This boy who smiled no matter how ugly he though he looked was currently messing around in the water with his siblings. His siblings names where Jeyja, Koknu, and Vifva. Jeyja and Koknu were Lucca''s only brothers while Vifva was their younger sister. So it was up to the three of the to take care of her. One day while the three of the siblings played in the water, Lucca was staring into a recent rock slide on the side of a cliff that fell down due to the hot heat crumbling the earth. Lucca liked the heatwaves that came off the rocks because they looked weird. Vifva his sister noticed Lucca was away. Ignoring the other two brothers, she ran up his shoulders and sat on top as she nuzzled his cheek. A case of content theft: this narrative is not rightfully on Amazon; if you spot it, report the violation. "What you looking Lucca?" "Nothing Vifva. Just the heat waves that come off the rocks." "Are they really that interesting?" Lucca took a second to respond as he was trying to find answer. Finally coming up with one, he stood up. "Yes they are interesting! There''s this rock down the cliff that is color black. The heat waves go off of it like the entire rock was made of heat waves!" "No way!" "Yes! It''s just down the cliff!" "I want to see! Let''s go Lucca." "What about Jeyja and Koknu. Shouldn''t we wait for them?" "Just ignore them, they are annoying anyways." "Are you sure...?" "Of course I am sure so hurry up and go!" "Okay!" Running down the cliff, Lucca jumped from one end of the rocks to the slowly. Since he wasn''t strong, he had to takes breaks. Finally reaching the bottom, Lucca sat down on the ground as if trying to catch his breath. Vifva leaped off of Lucca''s shoulder and urged him to continue. Lucca after several minutes of calming down, got up from where he sat and ran after Vifva as they continued on into the forest. The forest started to get more and more dense as Vifva and Lucca continued on. Vifva has never been on this side of the forest in her life and started to get scared. Lucca just encouraged her on as he traveled further into the forest. Finally upon reaching what looked like ruins, Lucca increased his past till he stopped in front of a black rock. "See Vifva? The Rock looks like it''s a heat wave." "Wow! How does it do that?" "Who knows. But it''s amazing!" Both Vifva and Lucca stared at the black rock in awe. They were to absorbed into the rock that they didn''t notice two stone golems making their way behind the two. The two golems raised their arms and swung down. Lucca didn''t notice till the last second as he slowly dodged to the left to grab Vifva and got clipped by the arm. Grabbing Vifva so she didn''t get hurt, Lucca ended up flying towards the nearest tree as his body made a large impact sound. Losing his breath, Lucca was on the verge of knocking out as Vifya screamed at him as she was worried. The golems slowly made their way towards Lucca and Vifya. Lucca seeing this as his vision was hazy, grabbed Vifya and crawled under the roots of the nearby tree. The golems walked towards the tree and started to hit the roots to only make small damage to the roots themselves. The golems kept at it. Vifya was currently crying as Lucca held Vifya tight as he prayed. "Please....Forest.... Please! If you can''t protect me then protect Vifya!" "No Lucca!" "Vifya please! I.. I just want you safe!" Vifya cried as Lucca felt his conscience slowly fade. Vifya noticing that Lucca was barely breathing was shocked and called his name. "Lucca!! Lucca!!!" Vifya tears started to fall faster as Lucca eyes slowly closed. Lucca couldn''t feel anything or hear anything. But he heard a faint whisper. The whisper was in a strange language but he understood it. "Don''t worry child. You love for the forest will protect you now and in the future. And when the day comes when you sown the seeds of love, I will claim you as my husband." Small cheerful laughter was left over as his eyes truly closed. The next time he opened his eyes was when he found him self in the den of Mother B''s. He was confused but couldn''t think anything when he was rushed by his crying siblings and mother. For now Lucca was safe while his mother scolded him and his siblings never let go of him. But what Lucca didn''t know that there was another presence among members. It was the goddess of Nature, Reinia as she smiled deeply at Lucca.
