《Moonlight Færie》 Chapter 1- First Encounter Heya! Thank you for reading this! basically this is my first story that should be a bit longer than one page and im just uploading this here to get some kind of review. anyways, i have currently only this and a second chapter written, but i do have an idea how to let the story go on. please keep in mind that i am not a native english speaker, but i very much appreciate any comments, be it criticism or anything else. I have to add though, that i dont know yet how to make tables, so there arent any included (for now)... [th_101_.gif] Chapter 1 Black darkness enshrouded her after she had put on the helmet and pushed the power button on. A few Seconds later she stood on a semi transparent platform and while looking around she noticed that she could see and move her body as she pleased. ''I wonder what kind of material this is'' She thought and sat down while patting on the strange texture of the platform. After she made herself comfortable, a girl which looked as if she was about her age appeared and greeted her while giggling: "Hiya there, how are you? I''m Ricky, the A.I which will be helping you through your character creation." She starter jumping up and down excitedly. "If you have any questions, just ask me okay?" The girl just nodded feeling too overwhelmed by the liveliness of a mere code of numbers. She continued her explanation and seemed pretty exited,and asked me what race The girl wanted to be. She explained: "Currently you can choose from 6 unlocked races who all are living on the central continent L¨¢horen :
The F¨¦theren, a plantlike race which lives in unity with nature and which is able to fly. They are a very peaceful race and live in isolation from the other races. They are rarely seen outside of their races'' country, and if seen, almost always admired for being so beautiful and kind. It is unknown how many F¨¦theren are living nowadays.
They gain extra vitality and nature affinity, but have lower stats than the other races at the start
! Also, because of their affinity with nature they will start in a completely random place, which is inhibited by nature !
the Gond?rrer, dwarvenlike creatures who live in caves in the biggest mountain range of l¨¢horen. They are especially gifted crafters who supply the whole continent with their weapons and armour. It is unknown how many gond?rrer are living nowadays, because they mostly don''t leave their homes.
*they gain extra strength and an affinity for metalworking but they have lower intelligence and wisdom*
the Hum?s , a race which has lived on this continent for millions and years, which has established a great empire with mercenary routes all over l¨¢horen to supply every corner of the continent with the good weapons of the dwarfs or the beautiful necklaces and earrings of the F¨¦theren. They are the ones who inhibit the whole continent with their sheer numbers.
they don''t get any bonuses and have normal numbers for every stat
The Centaurus, a wandering race of nomads who travel all around the continent with a body of horse and man while presenting their collected goods wherever they go. They are labeled as a race which has no home and is always in search for a place for them to live and settle down. They are very small in number.
they get extra stamina and have a survival skill, but they have no magic ability
the playful Tarh¨ª, a sub-race of humans who can speak with animals and live in small communities in the woods They have very good bonds with the creatures of the woods and can share their thoughts and emotions with them. They are very playful and always do unreasonable things, so they normally aren''t included in discussions between the representatives of the six races. They have traits similar to those of a hum? and live in human cities as well as in the woods.
They have an affinity towards animals and receive a taming skill when they start, but they can''t learn any skills or professions which are used against animals ( archery skills, hunting professions and so on...)
the Thaly¨¤, a race of small beings who are often called ''pixies'' . Find this and other great novels on the author''s preferred platform. Support original creators!They are half spirits so they excel at Magic and sorcery. They are often hunted because hum?s discovered that they could be used to make really good health potions, so currently there are very few Thaly¨¤ in l¨¢horen.
They receive a stat bonus for agility because they are so small and are good at spirit magic, but they live in constant fear of being caught. NPCs will try to capture them the moment they realise who they are

"C-can you show me how I''d look as a F¨¦theren and as hum? ?" "Of course. Here you go!" Ricky swiped a few times trough the air and two girls appeared In front of her. One was just like her, obviously a hum?, the other one had light green plantlike skin and a Slender build with light blue wings that were gently folded behind the back of the being that looked so much like her. She was much more beautiful and mesmerising than her hum? self which had the same build, but standing next to the F¨¦theren, it just looked boring and colourless. It had the same brown eyes and the also brown ponytail that went down onto her shoulders. The F¨¦theren had rose coloured bangs and some blue-ish aspects and it was curled, so that the strands ended up a bit under her shoulder. Her eyes were coloured in a dark blue and the body of the 15 year-old girl was just like in reality. A pretty waistline, but not many curves. While she was looking at the two avatars, Ricky had continued to talk about something without noticing that she didn''t listen anymore. "And that''s why... Hey, you aren''t even listening anymore!" "Oh, I,I''m s-sorry! I was just to surprised how beautiful that avatar was... Could I please look like that?" "So you want to be a F¨¦theren then.ok, wait a moment I''ll make you look even better!" "Wha- what? What do you mean even better? Isn''t this way too much already?" "No resisting please, you are just so cute, it would be a shame not to do this!" Ricky said while playing around with the settings of her character while the girl tried to persuade the A.I to just let her go. '' I mean, isn''t it really uncomfortable to have everybody looking at you? '' the now helpless girl thought. When she finished and let her see the results, she was flabbergasted because of how different she looked. The person in front of her was slender like herself and had the same long hair which fell down to her shoulders , but her hair was a pastel tone of pink and light blue shades. She had light green skin , that looked like somebody had glued big leaves onto her whole body, but in a nice and natural way.Her face looked like the girl''s, but more refined. She had long pink-blue-ish lashes and brows which surrounded a small nose and deep blue eyes with green sparks. And finally, behind her back one could see a pair of really beautiful blue wings with a green shine and golden ornaments at the small ends. "This... So beautiful... " She couldn''t even talk and was happy to be able to play with such a wonderful character. "So you like it? That''s great then!" She could just nod in agreement. "Okay, we took pretty long at your character, so could you please tell me your name?" The girl stared at her, unwilling to tell her her real name and wasn''t sure how to react so ricky sighed and explained to her: " I mean your in game name, dummy!" Ricky laughed as the now confused girl realised what she wanted. "Umm.. Please make it Falyora." "Gotcha, that shall be your new name. So normally I would now tell you some things about this continent and the cities where you can start, but because you are a F¨¦theren you will start somewhere completely random." '' Eh? Wait, I didn''t know that! '' Her face displayed what She thought so the A.I said: "Relax, it isn''t completely random. I''ll send you somewhere close to a friend of mine,ok?" Falyora nodded, She never was good with words and always had problems talking to people She didn''t know very good, but she hoped to change this by talking to the npc''s Who she was very inclined to meet. " Then let your adventure in this word begin. may you find what you search and who you want to be." With these words she pushed the girl back and She fell down somewhere. ------------------------------ sooo, if you enjoyed this chapter, please comment or point out my mistakes [th_059_.gif] Chapter 2- New Title? Sooo, actually i didn''t want to post this chapter so soon, mainly because i haven''t looked over it as much as i did for chapter 1 ,so i''m a bit insecure about it... Whatever, i still wanted to give you (whoever you are) a real chapter, as the first was more like a prologue and didnt have much''action''. I hope you enjoy it, but keep in mind that this story will not have so much action (like boss-fights ect. so soon),as i still need some time to build the story in a way that a consistent story exists. By the way, i noticed that this chapter looks shorter than the first, but i counted the words and they were both roughly at 1320 words. I know that some of the writers here manage to write much more and upload, like everyday, but i am just not able to write longer chapters without letting you wait for ...a month or something? So i would like you to understand it if i wont post here for a long time. Also i''m really exited to say that i have 2 Followers, which makes me incredibly happy! After she regained her senses She tried to stand up and noticed that She wore a brown shorts and a dark green shirt which looked really ragged and tattered.Also, Falyoras skin was light green and one could see the ends of the leaves on her joints. She got exited and wanted to see her wings, but she didn''t have a mirror and also didn''t know how to move ones wings. '' I''ll just imagine it the easiest way I can, Afterall this is a game and not reality '' Then she concentrated on her back and tried to feel the spots where her wings were connected with her body, and as she thought she could feel something. she tried to imagine slowly moving these spots up and down( Afterall she didn''t want to fly too high). Suddenly Falyora didn''t feel the floor anymore and realised that She was already flying! Excitedly She started to imagine moving her wings a bit faster and actually rose up into the air. Now She tried to change the direction which was pretty difficult, but after many unsuccessful attempts which resulted in her falling down so much that her pants that were previously coloured in a dark green had become as brown as the tshirt. After that she finally managed to move around- even if it clearly wasn''t easy for her- After The girl calmed down, She noticed a small bar in her top left corner of view which moved with wherever her eyes went, always in the top left corner. It said ''hp''there... '' Ah, I suppose that''s my health points! '' Now that she looked around, She noticed,that there weren''t any animals or people around. The girl was standing on a small opening surrounded by huge trees she couldn''t possibly see trough. Falyora remembered that in these games there was this thing called status, but as She had no idea how to open it, She just quietly said '' status '' and some kind of semi-transparent table which displayed:

Most Were to inform her of the stat increases which really surprised the girl. She thought gaining stats was really hard, but here She was, just playing around a bit and gaining so many stats! After Falyora cleared away the stat notifications,she saw a big one, which seemed to be a notice directed at every new player:

Falyora was surprised, she didn''t think she could spent even more time inside the game. As she swiped the big message away she thought she had read it all,but then she noticed a really small notice:

Falyora was astonished by the many good things this title granted her. She decided to thank the f?ries by flying around the trees in a way she thought of as gently and went to caress the flowers. Then she waved her hands to the trees and rose up into the air. While flying she thought about the mysterious title she was awarded with by the f?ries. It said she could use her wings to fight, but how? And who ? Strangely, since falling down from the character creation she hadn''t met any aggressive animals like goblins or other typical rpg monsters. Shrugging slightly she decided not to think too much about the things she didn''t know , but rather enjoy the scenery of the beautiful forest below, searching for a difference in the scene. But even so, as she looked around , she didn''t notice anything which looked different,there were only the big trees and small flowers on the ground. she remembered that Ricky said she''d send her to a friend of hers, but how should she find him? ( she thought it should be a he, because of Ricky''s personality, but she wasn''t too sure herself). Falyora sighed and started to fly around the forest. She surely must have spent one hour at least , looking for a sign of life in this empty forest, always flying down and looking for holes in which could be a passage to a cave or up in the sky , looking for an abnormality in the scenery, until she discovered a cave, hidden under deep green bushes and trees. It was located in the innermost part of the forest, was what she figured out, because the closer she came to the cave, the darker was the green of the leaves and the more eerie got the air. ''It really doesn''t look as if visitors are welcome... Uwaa, I don''t know what to do... Well, for now I''ll just enter, standing around won''t change anything.'' She thought to herself, after all she had indeed promised herself to be braver in the game, than she was in reality. So she thought that this would be a good time to start with it. As she stepped into the cave , the loud sound of something tapping on stone could be heard. Scared of something coming up to get from behind like she had seen it in those horror movies, she had to turn around all the time to make sure nobody was sneaking up to her. Because of that, it took her some time before she realised that it was the sound of her own steps, and by that time she had nearly begun to cry because it was so scary. She hit her cheeks with her hands and thought : '' Nothing has even happend, I shouldn''t be scared anymore! There isn''t anything scary here at all! '' At that moment she heard a small sound as well as a strange and eerie voice: "Who are you and what do you want, entering my sacred grounds?" ---------------- Thank you for reading and please comment/criiticise to make this story better. :bye: Chapter 3-Old man?! Hello again, and welcome to the 3rd Chapter of Moonlight F?rie. This is the last chapter i have written before uploading the story here,so i am truly sorry to tell you that i will propably take a long time to write another chapter, as i am still in highschool and a complete amateur writer as well. Because of that i really appreciate any comments telling me what i can do better. But,on a better note, you can''t believe how happy you made me with a number of 1090.5 average views! this truly makes me incredibly happy and thankful to all of those who have read the first two chapters. Falyora, who previously told herself not to be afraid, had been so surprised by the loud and domineering voice that she fell onto her knees, shaking and turning her head around anxiously. "So I ask of you, small F¨¦theren, why did you enter this forest, shunned by the whole world and didn''t even shy away from the pressure which makes even the nature around this cave tremble in fear?" She asked cheerful, thinking that if she was talking to a code made by humans she didn''t need to be nervous or as reversed. "Huh? Ricky, that brat is still alive? So he sent you here, I see." The voice sounded very old now, having lost most of its domineering and mighty pressure, and thus reminding Falyora of the image of an old man. "Then I shall aid you as you are a acquaintance of a dear friend of mine. Fear not for I will not harm you." The old man, as she had called him said and slowly came out of the darkness covering him. She watched as a figure of the being came closer and the only thing she could think was :" yeah, I totally met an amazing guy today." Because after all, the thing she met was none other than a real, big blue dragon. "Greetings, young one. My name is N¨¤rngard, one of the seven Th¨®rgard, highest and mightiest beings under the gods. May I ask for your name in return?" The dragon asked with a voice resounding in the cave so loud that even Falyora shrieked back a little again. "My name in this world is Falyora, o great one. I am thankful for your guidance." The girl swiftly thought of some words to please the strong dragon while not appearing as anxious herself. She was amazed how easily she was able to speak with the AI''s in this game and hoped it would also help her with real world communications in the long run. "Very well.I shall allow you to enter my halls as you are sent here by an old aquaintance of mine." The mighty being made a motion that could be interpreted as a nod and returned to the cave with loud and rambling steps. The girl smirked as she thought about this unexpected help and silently thanked ricky for not leaving her all alone somewhere in this world. Soon the sound of two pairs of flapping wings could be heard as the two went deeper into the cave. Falyora was surprised how well made the interior and overall looks of the cave differed from what one would expect. She noticed the clean walls, now that she was not scared anymore and N¨¤rngard was lighting the cave up with magic. Soon they came to a gate which was about 1 meter bigger than Falyora herself. She wondered how the bog dragon wanted to get inside as suddenly a hand lightly pet on her shoulders. " whah!" She shouted, afraid of the sudden touch. And - as it had to be, after all that was what she had thought of him all the time- behind her stood a man in his fifties who wore a green robe and a white shirt with brown trousers underneath. " is that you, o great dragon?" She said cautiosly. The man smirked as he saw her slightly anxious face and walked right trough the gate, saying " indeed,young one.As a Th¨®rgard I am naturally able to change forms. Now come, and enter into my domain. as you are a protege of my old friend, i will take your growth upon myself, so that you will be able to live by yourself in the future." Now happy at the mention of having a really strong dragon watch over her, she quickly followed the dragon into what seemed to be a teleportation gate. As she went out of the other side(after feeling tickelish for some time) she was surprised: the girl and the dragon stood in a big room! It was a well lit room which was made like an entrance to a mansion or something. A beautiful chandelier hung from the ceiling and a secretary stood by the side, ready to be used to receive visitors.(though, it looked as if it hadn''t been used by anyone for a long time.) The went to the door at the right side of the entrance and into a comfortable,while big kitchen with a dark brown table made of sturdy wood in the centre. On the left a fire glistened in a chimney while a tea pot on the fire started to make noises when they went in. " Please sit down, small one.I will make sure you are not hungry while in my presence. " The dragon said while gesturing towards one of the massive chairs that were arranged around the table and left the room, propably to fet a servant to She went to one of the chairs and sat down, thinking that she now finally had the chance to look at her status again:

------- Feeling confident in her abilities and surprised she had gained so much she closed the Windows. Of course she knew that the early levels, skills and stats rose very quickly and it would get much harder in the higher levels, she still was happy to have gotten stronger. As she was busy looking and reading through the notifications, the dragon had returned, after him two maids who were struggeling with the big plates the dragon had made them carry while he went to the chimney and took the tea. Then he graciosly turned around to come over to the table (...would i have said if not in that monent he lost his balance and almost let all the tea fall down.) He managed to get a hold on the chimney and turned around, making sure that no one had seen that scene. Sadly, He was not alone, as the F¨¦theren was the lone person in the room after the maids had left again. Falyora was trying really hard not to laugh in front of this strong person,after all she didn''t know how he would react to someone laughing about him. Embarrased the dragon came closer to the table,and one could see diffrent emotions contemplating inside him. after he had sat down he sighed and muttered something so quiet that only he could hear it. "Haaa, who cares anyways?" Mysteriosly,after that falyora felt much more relaxed and only then she did notice that she had been under the pressure of the dragon all the time, even after they had left the cave. The dragon cleared his rhroat and started to talk. Strangely, his voice lost most of his intimidating sound as he explained for a rather long time. "Sigh, Maybe I''lljust start with i troducing myself again: Hello Falyora, my name is N¨¤rngard and i am currently one of the strongest beings in this world. However, and this pains me very much, i am very clumsy, and because of that I choose to live in secret, because as you can see,while it is possible for me to maintain a mighty aura, i can''t do that very long. The problem is,that if i revealed that i was this clumsy and not at all like the person everyone thinks i am, i would be chased around by individuals who are trying to beat me to death. Because of that i hid myself inside this cave for a long time. But, well when you came,little Falyora, i was curious who you were,as normally no one dares to get close th the cursed forest." The Girl was very surprised,that this moghty dragon wasnt nearly as scary as she thought of him!She chuckled. Even ever though the dragon was strong,there was no way, that he could fight afainst so many strong opponents at the same time. "I understand,but why did you tell me all that?" she asked, not understanding the reason. "if I''m right on this you just started as an adventurer and that brat Ricky dropped you of close to here telling you that I was a dear friend of hers, right?" "Umm, yes that would be right ." "You see, it gets boring to always hide and do nothing the whole day! so when you came, i was curious and also hopeful,that you woud free me from the chains of boredom." Nodding and slightly smiling Falyora said: "I understand... " "And what do you want to do now?" Asked the dragon her curiously, while adding some examples. "You can go everywhere: the icy depths of larth¨¤nzar or the fiery highlands close to the city of Sar¨¬sborg. Or do you prefer building a house somewhere and settling down ?" " I... Actually I''m not sure what I should do now, I just wanted to be here at all, I haven''t even thought about what I should do. I''m always having problems to decide things and, I just don''t know... N¨¤rngard, what so you think?" "Listen girl, Living isn''t about being a rich person or being well educated. It''s about making choices , responding to them and about creating the person you want to be. Step by step, we experience many things, feel pain and enjoy happiness with other people who are as well trying their best. So don''t think about what you should or shouldn''t be or do, but focus on the things you want to do. That is what brings true happiness." Falyora thought about what he had said. True, she had more than once thought about all the things others expected from her and forgot to think about herself and her desires. But what did that have to do with the choices she would choose in the future? Thinking back to the opening in the forest, she smiled. Now she knew what to do.
