《Re: Corruption》 Chapter 1: New beginning Hey you all, I hope you enjoy reading my ff. ------------------------------------------ When I woke up I felt a strange sensation of death wavering around me. It felt like I was about to get crushed from it like a child tramples on insects. I was completely powerless to do anything against this superior being. Sadly I didn¡¯t have any way of finding out what or who gave of this aura due to the fact that I was neither able to open my eyes, nor to move my body, which felt weak and, for some strange reason, proportionally wrong. It was as if my head was too big for my body, my limbs fat and short and above all I felt that I was small. It was as if my body had gone back to the state of a newborn. I seem to be hallucinating. I must still have some of that whiskey my old friend gave me in my blood. What was his name again? Hmm talking of my old friend¡ what did he look like again? This is strange, it¡¯s not like me to just forget about people I just talked to. After having these thoughts a strong tiredness befell my mind and I went back to a deep sleep. I had dreams about my childhood. My brother and I were playing together, I can¡¯t see his face, it is a formless mass. When I woke up again I felt hungry, but not even a bit thirsty. The aura of death was gone. Don¡¯t misunderstand me, it didn¡¯t simply vanish. It was more like it was now placed in a distance, about 10 meters above me. There the aura was concentrated on another, slightly weaker aura which gave of a feeling of rage. I felt them clashing against each other, again and again and again. After approximately 10 stunning minutes in which these two beings fought, both getting weaker as times passed by, one finally vanished. The being which was left was the one from who I felt a sensation of death before, now it was merely a fragment of its former self. Then I suddenly heard thunderous applause. I felt the aura, which now felt like a maggot compared to how it was before, moving in my direction. It stopped next to me, muttering some words I couldn¡¯t understand. Its aura still grew weaker by the minute. It was dying. Again the tiredness befell me and again I drifted into sleep. I dreamt of my mother, crying as my brother, we both got into an accident, died in the hospital. She didn¡¯t show any relief that I survived it. Then suddenly everything changed to a dark, greyish color. It took me a while to realize that my dream was long over and that what I saw was the reality, my eyes finally opened. *flashback* So I really had died, eh? So he really did it and it wasn¡¯t just my imagination? My old friend, whom I formerly mentioned, his whiskey was indeed good, sadly it wasn¡¯t just whiskey. After I drank it I fell asleep and woke up in a bright room. I don¡¯t remember what it looked like in detail. I only remember that my old friend, whose name I can¡¯t remind myself off, was standing in front of me when I woke up. I couldn¡¯t move, he had chained me on a chair. Then he started screaming at me, asked me why I did it. I didn¡¯t understand what he was talking about. He screamed, saying I made a girl, I don¡¯t recall who he meant, fall in love with me, then took everything she had and left her behind like something old you throw away. By the way I didn¡¯t do anything of that. Or at least I don¡¯t remember. Then he took a knife from a table next to me, he started cutting off my fingers one by one, still demanding his answer. I screamed in pain and agony, he started laughing like a maniac and began to scream again. Oh¡ now it comes back to me¡ The girl was his sister. I still don¡¯t remember why he thinks I did these things to her. Maybe it will come back to me later. After he cut off every single one of my fingers he seems to be pleased with himself. The narrative has been taken without permission. Report any sightings. My whole body felt like it was covered in blood. I lost so much of that precious liquid, I can¡¯t feel any of my limbs, nor think straight. All I can do is scream and beg for my life. When he heard me begging his laugh started to sound even more crazy. In the distance I heard police sirens. Where they coming to help me? Did someone hear my screams? My butchers face turned serious again. ¡°Sadly we two can¡¯t play any longer¡± his voice sounded grotesque, but I could hear how glad he was to finally end me. Then I felt how he slowly pushed his rusty knife into my body, destroying my stomach and my intestines. He pulled it out and stabbed again, I could feel how my body became a bloody mess. Finally he freed me from my agony, when he slit my throat. I welcomed the sweet death. *flashback end* So that¡¯s how I ended up here, eh? The dark, greyish thing I saw was the wall I was staring at, it was artificial, so I was probably in some kind of basement or cage. At least I am pretty sure that I am not free, and neither is the being which is dying next to me. My body grew since I woke up in it the first time, now I was about the size of a 7 year old. I do seem to grow fast. If that is because I was reborn or if it is just a characteristic of my new race, which clearly isn¡¯t human, I don¡¯t know. After some time failing I finally managed to sit up, around me were dozens of ugly little children lying around me. They were all, for a few exceptions, sleeping and must have been about as big as I was. ¡°Hmm seems like we got a fast one this time.¡±(Being behind me) I turned to where the weak, pained voice came from just to discover an old, darkgreen skinned, huge being lying next to the wall behind me. I was stunned for a second but regained my calm. Strangely I was able to understand this beings (I will call it ¡°Ogre¡± for now) language, it certainly was none of the languages I knew in my old life. I tried forming words with my up until now unused mouth. ¡°What am I?¡±(Me) It came out smoother than expected. The old ogre looked at me surprised, but answered ¡°You, young one, are a goblin, one of the weakest and dumbest creatures I know, but you seem to be an exception, at least regarding the dumbness¡± he mustered my body and I heard him mutter ¡°it doesn¡¯t matter, you will die soon anyway¡± while he turned around, facing the wall. ¡°And what are you?¡± [Me] He stayed silent, after a short while he silently said ¡°I am an Ogre, but I will soon vanish from the face of this world.¡± So he really was an Ogre and he was really dying, just like his aura felt. How did I know that he was an Ogre you ask? Well it seem that my Ability from my past life was still a part of me, even now, after I was reborn. I was a psychometric, a psychic being which could identify object just by looking at them. It was a mutation that appeared a few times since humanity began advancing to outer space. The probability to be born with a psychic Ability was about one in two billion. I sure was lucky. As I said I was only able to identify objects in my past life. Now looking at the Ogre I clearly see what he is.

My ability seems to have evolved. Chapter 2: Incoming Danger Interesting. My ability seems to be able to identify living things now. I can see his name, he never told it to me. So he is called Tralgur, it kind of fits him. I wonder where he got his title from. ¡®Sole Survivor¡¯ sounds as if he is the last remain of some kind of group. I will ask him about that later, he doesn¡¯t seem to be in the mood right now. Anyway now that he¡¯s sleeping again I can take another look at my surroundings. The ugly children around me were dressed in some kind of filthy looking rags, only covering parts of their stomach and lower body. They had small but sharp looking claws and not one of them showed any signs of hair. I started observing the few goblins who already awoke using my Ability.

Now that I see it, the Ogre also had a level, but it was shown as ???. Let¡¯s see do I also have one? I started staring at my hand, nothing happened. This world is so game like, with goblins and Ogres and them having levels. Time to try something! *Status*

It worked! But where did this title come from? I didn¡¯t see a title on any of the young goblins I observed. And my level, I am 10 levels stronger than any of the other goblins here. That¡¯s interesting, maybe my thought process and my early adaption of my surroundings gave me additional Experience points¡ There are levels so I guess these points are also a thing here. Hmm I do have a Status and levels. Its experimenting time! *Inventory* Nothing happened. Well I would have been way too overpowered if I would actually have an inventory, so that was to be expected. *Skills*
Night vision (mastered)Gives the owner the ability to see at night, only works to a certain degree.
That¡¯s my only skill? This race sure is weak. I wonder if there is any way to see my current strength or other attributes of mine. *Attributes* Again no reaction, well nothing I can do about it. I tried some other game things out, but none worked. Just when I decided to go back to sleep the Ogres words came back to me. Unauthorized use of content: if you find this story on Amazon, report the violation. ¡®You will die soon anyway¡¯ is what he said. Seems like I have to get ready and proof him wrong. I don¡¯t plan on dying again anytime soon. Taking another look around I saw that the one wall I didn¡¯t observe was actually not fully made of stone like the others. It was like in a prison cell, with steel bars stopping us from leaving. There was also a typical jail door, it looked like it was also made from steel. It was heavily locked. Behind the bars stood two human guards, they talked in a language I couldn¡¯t understand.

So I could even see names of members from other races. Also these two had something called profession. This is probably what they were trained for. Their levels don¡¯t seem to be too much higher than mine, but maybe it¡¯s different for humans, maybe it shows their age? With Goblins that¡¯s definitely not the case. There¡¯s no way this body is 25 years old. After observing them some more a little bar, similar to my skill bar popped up.
Skill: Human language (minor) learned
I almost started crying from happiness. The strongest aspect of my old ability was still usable. In my old life, when I watched people speak other languages or manufacturers like tailors or smiths do their work, I slowly understood the language or the profession. When I watched them long enough I sometimes was able to fully understand it. Now that I was able to understand fragments of the conversation I was able to gain information without bothering the sleeping Ogre. Over the next hours I listened to the conversation of a few different guards. Every hour they switched with other guards so I was able to gain some knowledge about where I was, and what I was doing here. 1) The place where I am is some kind of arena, various monsters and humans with or against each other. 2) This arena is located in the country of Ravaria, a military country which is currently reigned by a ¡®King Robert¡¯. From what I heard he hates most kind of monsters or half humans. He even prohibited trade with an elven tribe, losing a big part of the country¡¯s economy. 3) The guards started making bets which goblins will survive tomorrow. I didn¡¯t clearly understand what was supposed to happen on the following day but I understood one expression from this particular sentence. It was ¡°Gladiator¡±. It seems for now I won¡¯t get any addition information from them, but apparently we Goblins will fight tomorrow. Either as Gladiators or against Gladiators. I need to get prepared. Chapter 3: Preparations After looking around in our cell I found several small rocks. By hitting them against the wall I managed to create 3 small shives (small knife-like thingies). The whole process took me 2 hours. I hid them, together with a few pebbles which I could throw, inside the rag I was wearing.
Skill: Weapon crafting (inferior) learned
Inferior hm? Well it is progress. Now I¡¯m no helpless little Goblin anymore¡ I¡¯m able to deal damage to a certain degree now. If I¡¯m lucky the shives may shatter inside whoever or whatever I stab them. But I want to increase my chances of survival in every possible way. The best thing I can do right now is to gain allies. I will try to get a few of the surrounding Goblins to help me. In a case of emergency I can always leave them behind. It is cruel but I wager my own life over that of other Goblins. I chose the two Goblins with the highest levels. One was the level 15 Goblin I spotted before who now somehow leveled up to 16, the other one is trying to steal from the guards right now.

Hmm he seems to be pretty strong compared to the rest of the Goblins here. Most of them awoke by now, three forth of them due to the sounds which was created when I made my shives. Oh, the guards catched the little thief. They¡¯re screaming some things at him. I can only understand a few words. One of the guards hit him through the steel bars, the little Goblin only laughed and jumped around. Hmm? Something changed.

Now I know what the guards said to him. Seems like simply calling a being something gives it to them as a title. I wonder how it''s chosen which title gets equipped, people like King Robert must have dozens of insulting ones. Little ''Bold Idiot'' there will probably gather some himself. That is if he survives. So I approached the two goblins who I wanted to be my allies. 16 (I will call them by their levels until they get names) first didn¡¯t want to help me, but she quickly changed her opinion when I gave her one of the shives as a present. She sure seems clever. Sadly she¡¯s as ugly as any other Goblin here. 21 immediately accepted. I didn¡¯t even finish my sentence when he already jumped to me and hugged me. He seems really happy to have a friend. The other Goblins all looked annoyed when he approached them earlier. I decided to give him his shive later, so he couldn¡¯t do anything stupid with it in the meantime. He seems to be a quite simple minded individual. When I introduced them to each other 21 liked 16 from the beginning. She first despised him but his friendly attitude soon made her laugh. They will get along with each other. Suddenly I heard a loud noise coming from the steel door. It got slowly opened, and then the guards threw in something that looked weirdly like a deer. It had spiky horns and a light red fur.

I was even able to identify dead things? My ability is getting more and more interesting, when I get some free time I will definitely experiment with that. Seeing blood pouring out of the deers wounds me and the other Goblins all remember out hunger. Even I couldn¡¯t stop myself and we all ran to it like hungry savages. Using the advantage of my higher level I grabbed a Goblin who was currently biting into our meal and pushed him away, now I had room to access the corpse, it sure tasted better than I imagined. Goblins have strange tastes after all. Next to me 21 and 16 were already feasting themselves. Saturated I turned around making room for other hungry Goblins, my line of sight fell on Tralgur, the old Ogre who got hurt in his fight. He looked hungry at the meat but didn¡¯t seem to be in the condition to get closer to it. Making a quick decision I turned around and used my shive to acquire a moderately big piece of meat. When I brought it to him he looked like he didn¡¯t believe his own eyes. After staring at me for a second, in which he showed his gratitude, he gulped the whole meat down in one bite. Only seconds later I felt his aura getting stronger again. Royal Road is the home of this novel. Visit there to read the original and support the author. His regenerative abilities sure are strong, as expected of an Ogre. ¡°Curious One¡ I was saved by a Goblin, this is unbelievable. It seems¡ like I owe you my life. But I have something that will repay this debt.¡±(Tralgur) It seems like I made a new ally. He pulled a cleaver out of what seems to be a pile of thatch on which he was resting.
A Dead Man¡¯s Cleaver
Type:CleaverDurability:200 / 200
Quality:Magical
A normal sized metal Cleaver. Its appearance is that of a normal Cleaver, even though it¡¯s no butchering or cooking tool, but made to be a weapon. It was created in cooperation from 3 experienced smiths, a Lich, an Elf and an Ogre. It was the first and only time when individuals of these three races ever worked together.
Magical propertiesWhen something is damaged by this weapon, the wound can¡¯t be closed for several days. Only saints and high level healers are ably to dispel this effect. If this weapon gets stolen during combat it will burn into the thieves hands and steal his life energy (if it is stolen outside of combat this effects won¡¯t apply)
This cleaver seems to be high quality. Its magical properties also look rather useful. I guess the old Ogre just gave me one of his greatest treasures, I wonder if he was the Ogre smith who was mentioned in the items description, but I don¡¯t want anyone to discover my psychic ability right now, so I won¡¯t ask him. ¡°Thanks, where did you get this cleaver?¡±(me) Is what I asked to not seem too suspicious. ¡°My father made it using a part of his life energy, he was just a Hobgoblin but it¡¯s still a powerful weapon. Don¡¯t underestimate it.¡±(Tralgur) His father was a Hobgoblin? Wait but he is an Ogre how does that work? Also it said in the items description that it was made by an Ogre, not a Hobgoblin. And it states that it was made in cooperation of three beings. The old Ogre may be lying. ¡°Uuuhm sorry for asking but did your father adopt you or anything? I mean you¡¯re clearly no Hobgoblin.¡±(me) I can feel that I¡¯m about to acquire some very useful information. ¡°How do I explain this best? Hmm first of all, I am indeed his real son, I was born a Hobgoblin. We monsters, all monsters not just Goblins and even some Half-Human races sometimes get the chance for something called an ¡®Evolution¡¯. If you think hard enough about the word ¡®Level¡¯ you will see a number. This number shows how much you advanced in your current rank. Once you reach level 100 you have the possibility to evolve. There are various ways to evolve. I myself know only a few. For Goblins the most common path to evolve is to a Hobgoblin or a Gremlin. A Hobgoblin can further evolve into an Ogre like me. Gremlins can evolve into darker creatures like vampires and undead, but if special requirements are met Hobgoblins and Gremlins evolution paths can intervene with each other. A Gremlin for example can if he starts behaving and living like a Hobgoblin also rank up to an Ogre.¡±(Tralgur) What the? So I won¡¯t be stuck in this small weak body of mine? I may one day even be stronger than old Tralgur next to me? That¡¯s some sweet knowledge we got right there. Checking my status I leveled up to level 32 since I checked last. It seems that crafting the shives and gaining new knowledge also provides experience. That explains why I most of the Goblins are low level, since there is nothing to fight here the only way to level up is using your brain and the average Goblin probably doesn¡¯t have much of that. I wonder how 21 reached his level. Earlier he ran around a lot, maybe normal exercise also adds to it. Thanking Tralgur for his lecture I turn around, planning to tell 16 about what I just heard. I think she is intelligent enough to understand at least some of it. ¡°Oh one more thing, Curious One, don¡¯t expect many of our race to be as clever as we two are. I am an exception, but most Goblins, Ogres and other monsters aren¡¯t even able to fluently speak the languages with which they were born. Take care, Clever One.¡±(Tralgur)
Title ¡®Curious One¡¯ Updated to ¡®Clever One¡¯
Looks like I underestimated the old Ogre. He may be one of the brightest of our race. He even gave me my current title. As I walked away the deers corpse, now almost cleaned from all meat, fell into my sight. I actually planned on using the horns of the dead deer to make some stabbing weapons, but the other Goblins took them already, most of its bones were broken in their hungry rampage. Quietly thanking Tralgur again I walked to my two allies, both already in deep slumber. Without waking them up I quietly lied down next to them. We need to rest to get ready for the following day. I can feel that it will be a slaughter. An expression of excitement covers my face only moments before I fell to sleep.
Trait: Bloodthirsty acquired
Chapter 4: Slaughter I awoke to a rattling noise. Looking around I noticed the guards putting Goblins in chains, one of them was chasing 21 right now who desperately tried to avoid being chained. After several more guards joined in the catch game they finally got him. Having lost the little bit of freedom he had he immediately started to sulk. When they finally managed to get all of us two guards took out whips and signaled us to follow them. As I was about to go through our cells door I turned my head to see if the old Ogre was following us. He just sat on his thatch and looked at me with a sad expression. His aura stopped to regenerate. The tunnel the guards brought us through was dark and only the torches they now held brought some light into it. It was made from stone bricks that looked like they were placed there dozens of years ago. Thanks to my night vision ability I was able to see some small passages which likely lead to other cages like the one we were in just minutes ago. While the guards weren¡¯t looking I head butted 21 who was walking directly in front of me to get his attention. I gave him one of the shives I made and a few pebbles. He didn¡¯t seem to realize in what situation we were and was overly happy about these presents. Shortly before we arrived at the end of the passage I whispered him to always stay on my side, he nodded full of excitement. The place we arrived was about double the size of our cell and was lightened by several torches. A huge wooden door, full of holes which look like they were made by axes, swords and hammers was the only thing that separated us from the outside world. From behind the door I could hear a loud voice. [Announcer]¡°WELCOME TO THE ARENE DEAR LADIES AND GENTLEMEN! TODAY WE GOT THE BEST OF THE BEST FOR YOU! A BATTLE ROYALE BETWEEN TWO DOZEN GLADIATORS! BUT FIRST WE PREPARED A LITTLE WARMUP FOR YOU! SADLY THE GLADIATOR WE PROMISED DISSEASED THIS MORNING! BUT OUR BENEFACTOR KING ROBERT HERE PROVIDED US WITH AN EXOTIC BEAST WHICH WAS JUST RECENTLY DISCOVERED! IT WILL FIGHT AGAINST A HORDE OF 37 YOUNG GOBLINS! THEY WERE ESPECIALLY BREED FOR THIS EVENT! PLACE YOUR BETS NOW AND HAVE FUN!¡± A deafening applause erupted. The King is here and he brought some kind of monster? That does not sound good. Looking through one of the holes in the door I could see parts of the arena. Its ground was sand, bloodstains everywhere. Shattered over the whole ground were lying wooden sticks and clubs around. In the middle of the arena stood a medium sized cage, it contained the creature the announcer spoke of. It looked like a mix of a bear and a horse, swift and long like a horse while having a bear¡¯s face and paws.
Borees
NameBorees
TitleKings Pet
Level???
He named his Borees ¡®Borees¡¯? He sure does have great naming sense (obviously sarcasm). While the guards opened the gates we Goblins already swarmed out into the arena. Most of the other Goblins looked frightened when they saw the Borees, a few remained their calm, 16 was one of these. 21 simply laughed and started to grunt. Taking out my cleaver and a shive, 16 and 21 followed my example and equipped the weapons I gave them, 21 took an additional club from the ground near him. To get any advantage possible I took another quick look around the arena. The spectators where about ten thousand and probably belonged to every category of citizen, many looked poor, but some had noble clothing and had guards which separated them from the common folk. The walls of the arena were spiked so that no one could climb out, maybe I can think of a use for these. After the crowd settled down the announcer continued his screaming: ¡°THE BETS ARE MADE, THE FIGHTERS ARE IN PLACE!¡± Then the King stood up, everything instantly quieted down. With a loud and dominant voice he announced: ¡°Let the slaughter begin!¡± with these words he made a strange sign with his hand and the cage which held the Borees in place simply vanished. About a dozen Goblins immediately rushed towards it, they all had either clubs or sticks in their hands. While several jumped at the beast or simply started hitting its feet, one got killed by a single swipe of the beast¡¯s paw and another overzealous Goblin got bitten in the throat. Making a leap the Borees instantly created several meters distance between itself and the Goblins, the attacks it received only left a few scratches, it was barely bleeding. Being brainless fighting addicts the goblins charged towards it, meanwhile the beast turned around, leaped directly into the crowd of Goblins, killing of another 4 instantly. Luckily I was able to stop 21 who also wanted to rush at the enemy, he seems to really respect me that he follows my orders already. 16 was covering behind me, using me as a meat shield. She is indeed a clever Goblin. Screaming at the rest of the Goblins I got all remaining ones to attack the Borees¡¯ legs. A few died but they managed to make the beast fall, that was the moment me and my two followers charged at it and started stabbing and slashing it with all we got. When I thought we finally made progress I suddenly felt a warm feeling in my shoulder. After a small fraction of a second this feeling started to hurt, surprised I looked down, just to see that something silver grayish was sticking inside my shoulder. It was the Borees tail, why didn¡¯t I notice that it had a tail? I felt to the ground, time felt like it was a hundred times slower. The beast¡¯s tail already stuck inside another Goblin¡¯s head, killing him instantly. Lying on the ground I only felt despair, I don¡¯t want to die again! My blood slowly flew out of my body. I lost hope. Again I saw one of my old memories, my brother dying in my arms, after I made an accident while driving him home. I heard someone sobbing next to me and saw 21, who then suddenly had a look on his face as if he just remembered something of great importance and took something out of the rags he was wearing. It was a small phial filled with a strange, clear fluid. ¡°Stole from bad human. Dis for you!¡± Between tears he said these words and opened the phial up. When the fluid dripped into my mouth I first felt nothing, after about half of it my strength slowly came back to me, after 21 emptied the whole thing into my mouth the pain slowly got less and less and after about half a minute it was completely gone. Looking down, where just a minute ago a lethal wound was located was only skin now, it completely healed and not even a scar remained. 21 looked as if someone he loved just came back from the dead, well he probably does feel like that. While I still swelled in happiness I heard a scream behind me. 16 just ran away from the Borees.
Skill: Leaping learned
So I now can even steal skills and probably ability, maybe even arts from beings, just by seeing them? My ability sure has evolved. Only moments before the beast would have killed 16, I used my new skill, leaping towards it, but it had better reflexes that I expected. I aimed to hit its eye with my cleaver but it ducked away. At least I still managed to cut one of its ears off. This will be my trophy of this fight. Using leaps to gain some distance I quickly took a look around. Approximately 8 Goblins were still alive and in condition to fight. Two more were lying on the ground with a grave wound in their bodies, they will die soon too. Nothing I can do to help them. Avoiding The Borees attacks with continuous leaps I took every chance I had to injure it, but even now I only managed to inflict some small wounds, but thanks to the cleavers magic properties my foe lost a lot of blood even with only these small wounds. Its movements started to grow slower. You could be reading stolen content. Head to the original site for the genuine story. But I also grew weaker because of the blood I lost before, my energy ran low. I lost concentration for about half a seconds and then at the border of my sight I saw the monsters deadly tail coming at me. At the last second before it would hit me 21 sticked his left hand between my face and the deadly tail, using his other hand to grab it while it was stuck in his left hand. ¡°NOW!¡± he screamed, his voice clearly in pain. Holding my cleaver with both hands I repeatedly hacked at the tail, till it finally severed. Using the moments in which the Borees screeched in pain I used all of my remaining power to stick its own tail into its thick throat, it died almost immediately. Another two Goblins died trying to help me fighting, now only us 6 of the original 37 Goblins survived. Truly a slaughter.
Received Blessing of the Elder (Special conditions set by Ogre Tralgur: ¡®Survive the fight¡¯)
Most of the crowd which spectated the fight were quiet, probably they never saw Goblins fight like we just did. One of the nobles laughed loudly, he was fat but also had a charismatic aura. The man sitting next to him handed him a big leather packet, probably what the fat noble just won with his bets. ¡°SOMETHING TRULY ASTONISHING JUST HAPPENED BEFORE OUR EYES! THESE FEW GOBLINS MANAGED TO SLAUGHTER A BEAST THAT SHOULD BE ABLE TO KILL THEM ALL WITHOUT ANY PROBLEMS! LADIES AND GENTLEMEN THIS IS A¡¡± he immediately shut up when the King stoop up. ¡°Truly, it¡¯s unheard of that Goblins beat a Borees. I am looking forward to see you six fighting again next week¡± with these words he made a sign with his hand and my wounds immediately healed. Taking a look at 21 his wounds also healed, his hand was fully usable again. ¡°A little present will be brought to your place Goblins, don¡¯t disappoint me at your next fight!¡±(King) He turned around and obviously with the plan to leave this arena now. ¡°King Robert the main event, the battle royale is going to be next. Surely you don¡¯t want to miss it?¡± (Noble who sat next to the King) On his way out the Robert turned his head around, in a normal volume he answered, but it felt like his voice was magically strengthened so that everyone in the arena would hear him: ¡°I don¡¯t think your lousy battle royale can beat what we just saw.¡± He was calm and left without saying a single other word.
Skill: Human language (minor) upgraded to Human language (average)
Received Title: The Kings Favorite
Received Blessing of the Conqueror (Special condition: If King Robert, the one that bestowed this Blessing upon you gets disappointed or bored of you, you will lose this Blessing)
The crowd cheered again and many left the arena already, blindly following their kings judgement about the fight. After I pulled the Borees tail out of its throat(it will make an excellent weapon) I talked the remaining Goblins into carrying it back to our cell. They also brought a few clubs with them. On our way back the guards didn¡¯t say anything about us taking the Monsters corpse with us, it is probably normal for the winning monsters to take some spoils for themselves. When we arrived the old Ogre Tralgur wasn¡¯t there anymore, after I asked the guards (who looked surprised when I talked in their language) they told me that he died while we fought. After he shared viable information with me and gave me his cleaver, I respected him like some kind of teacher or elder. It makes me truly sad that he died like this. Also I really wanted to ask him about the Blessing of the Elder which I received, the old guy probably set that up only moments before his death. I feel like I could¡¯ve learned a lot from him. While looking through his thatch bed I found several hidden daggers, two short swords and one medium sized (in comparison to me) axe. 21 could probably wield it as a two-hander. I gave two daggers and one short sword to 16, took the remaining one for myself and distributed the remaining daggers between the other Goblins, I only kept one for myself. Because I¡¯d really like to have some kind of normal clothing I stopped the hungry goblins from tearing our dead foe into pieces and started skinning it with the dagger I took by myself. Its hide was really sturdy so it took me several hours to obtain all the usable pieces of it, because of the slashes I made most of it was unusable but I got about enough to make at least a few pants. Maybe even some kind of pouch. After I gave each of the Goblins a big piece of meat, slightly bigger ones for myself and my two allies, I cleaned the Borees bones and started my work. In the following five hours I managed to fabricate 4 hide pants and one backpack. I used bones to make the backpack sturdy, I also added a few to each of the pants to upgrade their defensive abilities. 16 and 21 were extremely happy about the pants I gave them as a reward for their help in the fight, the last remaining one I kept as a backup for myself.
Skill: Skinning (minor) learned
Skill: Skinning (minor) upgraded to Skinning (average)
Skill: tailoring (minor) learned
My craftsmanship skills will probably be very useful in the future, I should keep making clothing and weapons whenever I can. After eating my meal, which tastes absolutely delicious, I called 16 and 21 over to debate our strategy for upcoming fights, this time we were only saved because our enemy focused on the other Goblins. Now that most of us Goblins are dead, there won¡¯t be another such distraction we can use. Sadly 21 didn¡¯t even understand what the purpose of a strategy is, he simply wanted to rush at the enemy and hit it with all he¡¯s got. To get rid of him I thanked him for the potion, he immediately jumped up in excitement and ran to the guards, he probably wants to steal another phial. Our strategy will look like this in the next fights: If we fight against a single, big enemy, Every Goblin except for me will start attacking its feet, when it falls they will try to grab onto its arms (or paws) to stop its movement. Then I will leap in and strike its head with my cleaver. If we have to fight multiple enemies we will form small squads, one is me, 16 and 21 and the other one contains the remaining three Goblins. After we finished making preparations I walked over to the old Ogres former sleeping place, I guess it¡¯s mine now. Before I lied down 21 ran to me cheerfully. He told me that he didn¡¯t manage to steal a potion, but that one guard secretly gave him two phials, while the other one wasn¡¯t looking. What a nice guy. If I get the chance I will thank him tomorrow. Both phials contain a liquid looking exactly like the one we used before so it¡¯s pretty safe to say that the effect will be the same. When 21 finally stopped annoying me with his senseless talk and laughter, my muscles started to feel weak and hurt. The strains the whole day set upon me now showed effect.
ANNOUNCEMENT: CONTIDIONS FOR EVOLUTION HAVE BEEN CLEARED! AVAILABLE EVOLUTIONS WILL NOW BE LISTED
Chapter 5: Changes Firstly I wanted to thank you all again for reading, you are awesome. Also I deleted the post with the poll because I didnt want to spoil anything for anyone who only started reading my ff. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
ANNOUNCEMENT: CONTIDIONS FOR EVOLUTION HAVE BEEN CLEARED! AVAILABLE EVOLUTIONS WILL NOW BE LISTED
Requirements cleared: Level 100; Butchers Butcher; Otherworldly; Back from the dead; Prodigy; Defier of fate; catched a gods interest
Available Evolution Paths will now be shown.
Hobgoblin: A being bigger (height about 1.70 meters) and stronger than a Goblin and slightly exceeds one in intelligence. Its looks partly resemble humans. No magic affinities
Gremlin (variant): A being which is slightly weaker and smaller (height 1.60 meters) than a Hobgoblin, but exceeds one in speed and intelligence. Has magic affinities for Darkness guaranteed.
Pan: A being which looks a human, except its goat legs, hooves and ears. It is slightly stronger than a Goblin and often shows light magic affinity.
Make your decision
Hmm now this is interesting. I won¡¯t even consider being a Pan, seeing as it is half a goat this choice seems more like a downgrade. The Hobgoblin path is very interesting. I certainly want to be more like a human, also it seems to be the physically strongest. But the Gremlin seems altogether the most fitting choice for me. I get a guarantee to be able to use magic and even learn some sneaking skills, also the increase in speed looks rather convincing. What use it is to be able to hurt an enemy a bit more if I can¡¯t evade its attacks? So I guess I will be going with that
Choice: Gremlin. Are you sure?
Yes. Then the darkness befell me as I fell asleep, already feeling the changes my body was going through. I had another dream of my former life; I was convincing my brother that I was in the condition to drive. The dream ended shortly before the accident. The last thing I heard was my brother screaming.
Evolution process complete. Acquired: Blessing of the Goddess of Darkness
I awakened when I heard a surprised gasp. Upon looking around I found out it was 16, or should I call her 89 now?
Goblin
Name?(not named yet)
TitleNo Title
Level89
Hmm she didn¡¯t do that much in the fight, so it wasn¡¯t too surprising that she didn¡¯t reach level 100 to evolve. But she certainly grew stronger and more feminine. She now looks like a ugly 12 year old. 21¡ now 5 stood behind her.
Hobgoblin
Name?(not named yet)
TitleNo Title
Level5
He evolved into a something that looked like a mix between a goblin and a human. He had a dark green skin and grew short hair. I got to admit he¡¯s kind of handsome now, for a Goblin of course. After I asked 16(yes I will continue calling her that till she gets a real name, same with 21) she said that I look way better. I¡¯m kind of happy about that. To check what she said I tried to use my cleaver as a wannabe mirror. I had dark brown skin, sharp short claws and a Tail which ended in a long spike, I had good control over it and it felt like an additional limp. On my torso were strange black lines, looking like a tattoo. My face looked strangely familiar, as if I¡¯ve seen it hundreds of times. Why can¡¯t I remember who this face resembles? The last second of my dream came back to me, my brother screaming. I look almost exactly like him, maybe a little bit more handsome. Like 21 I had hair, but mine reached my shoulders and was black, his a mix of brown and blonde. When I finished checking my looks, I realized that 21 was standing next to me, he looked like a child that just broke something. Turning around I saw that his pants ripped when he evolved. I immediately turned around again, I really don¡¯t want to see that. I quickly made my leftover pants bigger by using all of the hide scraps that were left over. The pants quality went lower because of that. I¡¯m really dissatisfied, soon I will make us new, proper clothes. One of the other 3 Goblins also evolved into a Hobgoblin. He looked pretty similar to 21, except that he almost had no hair and a was little bit smaller. To test if their strength also varied I let them spar, 21 easily won after a quick fight. I spend the rest of the day sparring with 21 and let 16 spar with the other goblins that didn¡¯t evolve. By the time we all grew tired she managed to reach level 96. We called it a day at this point. The two other unevolved Goblins reached level 78 and 83. Until we have to fight again I will manage to get them to level 100. As I was about to go to sleep, I heard steps coming from outside our cell. My hearing also improved a lot since I evolved. A person who looked like a scholar of some sort whispered something to the guards who then opened the door for him. Strangely he started talking in our language, Goblin language. ¡°I¡¯m here on behalf of the King. As he promised I am here to bring you a present which he personally chose for you. What are your names?¡±(Scholar) An awkward silence erupted as we all looked at each other. ¡°You do understand me right?¡± The Scholar now looked troubled. ¡°The thing is¡ We don¡¯t have any names.¡± I answered in human language, much to his surprise. ¡°Oh right, you were supposed to die in the fight yesterday. It¡¯s obvious that you don¡¯t have names yet. Sorry about that. So how about you choose names for yourself?¡±[Scholar] In the few days since I reincarnated I never thought about naming myself. I always considered my old name to be my new one too. ¡°My name will be¡¡± Wait what was my old name again? I can¡¯t remember. ¡°What will your name be?¡±(Scholar) Thank you old Ogre. ¡°I will be Tral.¡±(Tral) As I said these words 21 looked at me with wide open eyes ¡°like old Tralgur?¡± I nodded. I shouldn¡¯t have agreed with him. He immediately had a excited look on his face. ¡°Then me be Gur. Me soon strong as Tralgur. Aaaand big.¡±(Gur) Of course he had to do that, too late to change anything now so I got to live with that. By the way didn¡¯t the Hobgoblin evolution description contain something about being cleverer than Goblins? I can¡¯t see that at 21, I mean at Gur. 16 asked me to choose a name for her, I immediately had a name in mind, I don¡¯t know why. Probably also someone from my former life. Anyway, her name will be Tris. The other three Goblins also had no naming sense at all. They are now Grat, Alex and Merd. A case of content theft: this narrative is not rightfully on Amazon; if you spot it, report the violation. The Scholar then took a small satchel out of his robe, placed it on the ground and started taking items out. No, not only some small rings or something but weapons and weird looking staff. So even something like magic which manipulates area to create huge storing space inside a satchel is possible in this world? I want that. As he finished taking out items he said ¡°Each of you is allowed to choose one, choose with care.¡±(Scholar) In front of us lied 2 swords, one war axe, a spear, a few daggers, various different rings and two staffs. After looking through all the Items I chose one of the rings.
Ring of Life and Death
Type:RingDurability:150/165
Quality:Rare magical
Although the items name exaggerates this item is high quality and pretty rare. It enhanced the user¡¯s ability for dark magic but makes him prone to any kind of light magic.
Magical propertiesDarkness affinity +25%; damage/heal from light magic +25%
I don¡¯t plan on fighting any kind of sage or saint that can use powerful light magic, but if I somehow get a healer that will greatly upgrade my chances of survival. Also the darkness affinity is pretty neat. Gur chose the war axe for himself, he was able to wield it with two hands, if he gets strong enough to one hand it I will try to get him some sort of tower shield.
War Axe
Type:AxeDurability:250/250
Quality:normal-enhanced
A normal war axe which was enchanted and enhanced by novice mages.
Magical propertiesFeels lighter than it is, making it possible to be swung faster while inflicting the same damage.
Tris chose one of the swords. It was a shortsword which was decorated with various gems. My ability told me that about half of them were magic stones that inflict element damage. The rest of the stones were fake gems.
Ice mages sword
Type:Short SwordDurability:200/200
Quality:Rare-enhanced
A well made short sword in which magic stones were implanted, giving it coldness attributes. If a foe is struck he will suffer from hypothermia, in addition to that the wound will freeze.
Magical propertiesPossibility to inflict hypothermia: 12%; freezes everything it touches, except for the wielder
Of the other three two chose short swords, one had fire gemstone implanted, the other one was a plain normal short sword. The Hobgoblin took a ring for himself which heightened his agility. Clever choice. The scholar, who looked surprised by our choice, took the rest of the items back into his satchel and went back without saying a word. I would have stolen the satchel on his way out, but I don¡¯t want to anger the King. For now. It was already getting very late, I realized that my minds clock works perfectly accurate after asking a guard about the time. Maybe that¡¯s some kind of characteristic of Goblins? I asked Gur about it but he didn¡¯t even understand what a clock is supposed to be. Also he said that he doesn¡¯t have any feeling of time. I guess it¡¯s some kind of unique trait of mine or something. The next morning I stood up before the others. It¡¯s time to test out my promised darkness abilities. After experimenting a bit I found out that I acquired some kind of sixth sense which tells me if people realize that I¡¯m there or not. This will be pretty useful when I want to go somewhere where I¡¯m not allowed to be, or to get away from something. I even managed to use some darkness magic. Sadly I don¡¯t know any kind of spell, so all I could do was the very basics, or at least what I think are the basics. So I was able to gather dark energy in my hands and throw, I was even able to manipulate the path it flew. Otherwise I was able to slightly manipulate the looks of shadows, to test that I made my own shadow wave at me. Even though I don¡¯t see any use in moving shadows it¡¯s at least a fun ability and better than nothing. What was that again when I just woke up? I was too distracted to pay much attention. Blessing of the Goddess of Darkness, right?
The Blessing of the Goddess of Darkness is only bestowed upon individuals with the potential to fully become creatures of the dark. The Goddess herself choses those fortunate being. Whoever has this blessing will learn and master darkness magic and sneaking skills easier than normally. These chosen ones are often sold as slaves to fanatic groups when captured.
This is the first time I got info about a skill or trait of mine. Let¡¯s try it with some other skills. No effect. Well that¡¯s unfortunate, it doesn¡¯t work with the other blessings I received either. Looks like only abilities or blessings which are influenced or based on a god show me a description. Let¡¯s think about this blessing. It says that I was chosen by a Goddess herself, I sure am special. It seems that this blessing also influenced my evolution, maybe the tattoo on my chest was made because of it. Learning dark magic faster seems pretty good, but fanatics that may want to buy me? Now I¡¯m creeped out¡ If I, as a holder of this blessing, am supposed to be able to master dark magic, maybe it¡¯s even possible for me to create my own spells? I¡¯m getting excited. Over the next hours I tried various things with my mana. When I gave it a specific form it kept that while I held it, the moment I released it or threw it, it went back to being a formless cloud of mana. After a while I managed to keep it in place and form while I myself moved away, so it¡¯s not completely impossible. Sadly my manapool is almost empty after several hours of tests. So enough of that for today. After a few hours of sparring I managed to talk one of the guards, the one that gave Gur the potions before, into having a mock battle (like sparring but with weapons) with me. He used his short sword and shield while I borrowed the normal short sword from one of the Goblins. He couldn¡¯t do much against me, we fought for about half a minute then I managed to snatch his sword away, and then the fight was decided. Normal Humans are not strong at all, even as a Goblin I would have won. Of course I gave him his weapon back. He gave us important info and I don¡¯t plan on already making enemies. Later that day I started talking to same guard and acquired some good information. I found out that not only Goblins but several other weak monster species are held captive and bred here. We are only one of many groups. The others are Lizardlings, Gnomes, Kobolds, a few Orcs and they even managed to catch some Imps. Lizardlings are, like their name says, lizards. They are about as big as a Goblin and considered slightly stronger due to their spitting abilities. Gnomes are smaller than Goblins, slightly stronger but way slower. They look like very small, ugly humans. Kobolds are humanoid fox creatures. They are known for their speed and intelligence. They mostly use ranged weapons because most creatures overpower them in strength. Orcs are basically Pigs that walk on two legs. They are gluttonous and weak. Some nobles have actual Orc farms because of their meat. It is said to taste like very high quality pork. Imps are descendants of demons. They are about as big as a Goblin, but have red skin and are able to use minor fire magic. They are considered very rare. He also said that in our next fight we will have to fight one of these groups. The only reason for that not to happen would be if the King or some rich noble brought a strong creature for the battle. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- (little spoiler) I just wanted to say (because some people asked) that our mc, Tral, will get overpowered. BUT he won¡¯t be Rou like overpowered and he will definitely NOT reach a godlike level of power. (Btw that¡¯s what I plan right now, it¡¯s possible that I change my thoughts about that, probably won¡¯t happen though.) THANKS AGAIN FOR READING! YOURE ALL AWESOME! Chapter 6: Decimation Little info: Up until now I wrote every day down. Buuut this will change for the simple reason that I do not have the patience to write every single day down. I will probably not put like whole months into a single chapter but maybe a few weeks instead of just days. Anyway have fun reading. Oh btw I will try some other writing styles. If I don¡¯t like how it comes out I will change it, I may even rewrite the first chapters in these styles. -------------------------------------------------------------------- Four days have passed since we got the Kings presents. In the meantime Tris and one other Goblin evolved. They¡¯re now both Hobgoblins. Alex now looks a bit like Gur, just smaller and cleverer. I did tell you that Tris looked kind of ugly as a Goblin right? What one evolution can change. She now looks like a cute girl in her teenage years with blonde hair and an intelligent looking face. Sadly she still kept the for Goblins characteristic brown-green skin tone, but she grew a lot more feminine. They both were weak compared to Gur, but exceeded him in speed and intelligence. The day of our next fight is today, at least that is what one of the guards told me. A few hours after I woke up I heard the familiar sound of chains. The process was the same as before, guards came in and chained us so that we are no danger for them when they move us. This time they managed to catch Gur after a few minutes, but only because I told Gur to stop the nonsense of running away. We were lead through the same dark tunnel as before. I saw the same dark passages that lead to other cages, but now with my hearing improved I heard many things. I heard creatures cry, moan, mumble in agony. Only from one passage I didn¡¯t hear anything. When we were directly next to it I concentrated myself, what I saw was more than disturbing. Even though I only saw shadows I¡¯m sure what was in the cage at the end of that passage. Human woman. They were lying on the ground or sitting on the wall. They had mouth gags and their hands were tied up so they couldn¡¯t move or protect themselves. Between all the females there were other creatures. Hobgoblins. They looked thin and stood and walked like old men. I was suddenly hit at the back of my head. ¡°Hurry up you piece of filth¡± grumbled one of the guards. I couldn¡¯t spare anymore time looking into to the cage. Sadly I didn¡¯t see them long enough for my psychic ability to kick in, maybe I would have gotten some information about them. When we arrived in front of the door which leads to the arena there were already fights going on inside. Like the last time I looked through the gaps in the door.
Fang Wolf(variant)
NameSlasher
TitleNightly Stalker
Level54
The Fang Wolf had a shoulder height of about 1,50 meters and his length exceeds that of an alligator. This time I can see his level? The Borees was way too high level, so I couldn¡¯t see its level. Looks like the fight will be more even today. I wonder what the ¡®variant¡¯ means. Maybe he acquired some special evolution? That reminds me, I haven¡¯t checked my status even once since I evolved.
Gremlin(rare variant)
NameTral
TitleThe Kings Favorite
Level19
Oh I¡¯m a rare variant? Well I did clear some strange requirements when I evolved, but I didn¡¯t see any effect of being a variant. Maybe it enhances my magic or my abilities? I need to acquire more knowledge. The Wolf was fighting a horde of small Lizardlings who all were unnamed and between level 10 and 50. Needless to say he annihilated them, they didn¡¯t even scratch him with the clubs and sticks they had as weapons. I wonder if I can make some equipment out of their scales, maybe a shield. After about two minutes the fight was over. All Lizardlings were either dead or dying.
Skill: Bite learned
I learned that skill while watching the Wolf rip the Lizards to shreds, I wonder if I¡¯m ever going to use it. A steel cage appeared around the Wolf, trapping it. The King must be here, he did say that he wanted to watch us fight again. Then the door opened and I proudly walked into the arena. The King sat on the same seat as before, observing at us with a slightly bored look on his face. I guess the slaughter just now wasn¡¯t to his liking. While the announcer told the crowd of our former achievements against the Borees, I talked to my comrades. ¡°This beast is exceedingly strong. I want you all to not take it lightly, it could rip you to pieces in mere seconds. Always be concentrated. I don¡¯t want to leave any Goblin corpses back.¡± Unauthorized reproduction: this story has been taken without approval. Report sightings. With these words I signaled Gur and Tris to get into the formation we planned. Tris was to distract the enemy from a safe distance. Her job was it to throw stones or anything she finds at it to give me and the other Goblins the chance to damage the enemy¡¯s legs, so that I could use my cleaver to destroy a vital point of it. As soon as the King made the cage vanish, I and Gur ran around the wolf, leaving the others were they stood. Tris started to pick up parts of the Lizardlings and threw them at the Wolf. So far so good. What I didn¡¯t put into my plan was that only Tris and Gur actually did what I said. It would have all worked out well, but Alex, Merd and Grat, the three Goblins mindlessly charged in. Alex was immediately ripped in shreds by the wolf, who then jumped at Grat, simply crushing his skull with its paws. Merd, the last one that was left tried to run, but the Wolf effortlessly bit his throat. It could¡¯ve worked out so well if not for these dumbasses. Now only Tris,Gur and me were left. Tris lost her composure after our companions died, Gur started angrily growling. Any second now he would charge forward and get instantly killed. Using only a small amount of energy I hit his arm to get his attention. ¡°Remember the plan¡± I said calmer than I was. I don¡¯t know why I didn¡¯t panic. Maybe because we have already survived death once, maybe because I had the two potions the guard gave us in my pocket. When I identified them I found out that they were middle class healing potions, more than enough to fully heal any low rank monster like us. Tris wasn¡¯t in the state to do what I assigned her to do so I had to take over her position. I quickly run towards the wolf, leaped just moments before his paws would have gotten me over it and picked the enchanted short sword from Alex up. It was the one with fire stones implanted. While the Wolf turned around to follow me, Gur charged in and used all his power to bash his Axe into the enemy¡¯s leg. Surprisingly the effect of the attack was bigger than I thought. Even though it didn¡¯t completely render the monsters limb useless it went almost half through, inflicting it pain and handicapping it for the rest of the fight. Leaping again I ended up next to the Wolf, stabbing my new sword into its stomach. In its moments if pain Gur smashed its skull with his axe, instantly killing our opponent. When the announcer finished his talk we were about to leave, suddenly I heard a silent cry. Following the noise I found a single Lizardling who hid beneath its comrades corpses. Seeing how our Team got decimated by quite a bit I asked if we could take him with us. After some confusion the King stood up and allowed it. I had to carry the little guy back, he was so afraid that he didn¡¯t realize in what situation he was.
Lizardling
NameChiuco
TitleCoward
Level68
I gave him the name ¡°Chiuco¡± as soon as we arrived back at our cage, this time we didn¡¯t take the monsters corpse with us, but the guards brought it anyway. They need to feed us something after all. Chiuco¡¯s level is surprisingly high, maybe he was one of the strongest Lizardlings, maybe his level raised a lot due to him surviving a near-death situation. I will need to acquire some Information from him later on. After I put him into a corner of the cage he immediately quieted down and stared at me, even though he didn¡¯t understand a word of what I said, he continuously said one phrase.
Skill: Lizard language (minor) learned
I finally understood him, he again mumbled ¡°thank you¡±, it seems like he understood what just happened. We feasted on our enemy¡¯s corpse, it was good meat, but our mood was too bad to enjoy it. Hours later I finished some short pants for Chiuco, but he was already asleep, I will give him his new clothes tomorrow. In the time until the next fight I will have to make Chiuco strong enough to survive. I don¡¯t really care about his life, but he does upgrade our all chances of survival, so I will make him go through a hellish training. If he disappoints me at the next fight I will end him myself. ---------------------------------------- Btw sorry for the late release, RL kicked me in the face. I will probably manage to upload another chapter this week, but next week I¡¯m on a school trip so I won¡¯t have any time to write at all. Chapter 7: Auction I¡¯m kinda ill so yeah short chapter today :C I will rework it when I¡¯m better. ----------------------------------------------- After just 2 days of my training Chiuco evolved.
Lizardman
NameChiuco
TitleCoward
Level7
He is now about as big as Gur, but overall slightly weaker. He grew strong, green colored scales and in general looks like a humanoid Lizard. While training him I discovered that he had some rather useful abilities, so I made him use those dozens of time, while I watched.
Skill: Acid Spit (minor) learned
Skill: Poison Spit (minor) learned
Skill: Anesthetic Spit (minor) learned
Skill: Fire breath (minor) learned
Every of my new skills are rather useful, sadly I can¡¯t put them to their full potential yet, as a ¡®minor¡¯ learned skill they had almost no effect. I once accidently hit Gur¡¯s arm with the acid spit, it didn¡¯t even hurt him. Still if I manage to hit an enemy¡¯s eye or mouth with one of the spits it will probably inflict some damage. Also I can now enjoy the meat which is brought to us grilled, thanks to fire breath. Don¡¯t misunderstand, I don¡¯t like using fire breath. I don¡¯t have any fire resistance so it almost burns my mouth every time I use it. After spitting into the Phial which once contained a health potion until it was filled with poison, 3 men came near our cell. They were dressed in leather armor and had short swords and shields equipped. Two of them looked like veteran warriors, with scars all over their face. The last one was probably not even 18 yet. ¡°You, the one called Tral, the King wants to see you fight now. You are allows to bring one companion with you, not more. You have half an hour time to get to choose.¡± The King sure likes seeing me fighting. Well I guess if he wants to see me fighting I can¡¯t refuse, hopefully he won¡¯t have a monster like the Borees with him. I choose Chiuco. Why you ask? He needs combat experience so that he will be useful. Also if the enemy is superior to us he is the one I care the least about. When I confronted him with my decision he was shocked, he is probably still traumatized from seeing all his siblings die in the arena, but he can¡¯t hide forever. I convinced him by reminding him of how he was almost equal to me and Gur, and that he now had a weapon. The firestone infused sword I gave him. On our way to the arena we were escorted by the three men the King send. I could see the other cages better now, my sight improved since we fought the wolf, probably due to me leveling up. I¡¯m level 54 now, halfway to evolving. My magic also ranked up, I could now control it better and faster, I¡¯m eager to try it out. All the cages were silent now, nothing reminding on that these monsters are all going to die here one day. You might be reading a stolen copy. Visit Royal Road for the authentic version. The door to the arena was open this time, no monster in sight we walked in. Different to the other times I fought, there was no crowd watching us. Only about 25 people, all are looking rich and noble. Most of them were fat men. A few of them had either human bodyguards or humanoid monsters with them. I saw Hobgoblins, several Imps, an Orc and even one Ogre. They all had collars around their neck from which I felt a strange energy. The King sat on his usual spot, observing us quietly, and then a noble looking woman next to him started yelling. ¡°Our King found an interesting specimen. This Gremlin. He exceeds all expectations, managing to kill a Borees and even a Fang Wolf! He doesn¡¯t want it to die pitiful in the arena, so anyone of you is obliged to buy him for your Ludus!¡± (Kings announcer) (A Ludus is a gladiator ¡®school¡¯ thingy). An auction. I¡¯m being sold like cattle. Well seeing the lustful face of one of the noble women I don¡¯t think it would be that bad. If you know what I mean. ¡°SHOW US!¡± screamed the fat man who was accompanied by the Ogre. ¡°Of course we made some preparations to show you this specimen¡¯s power. Watch as he shows you his might!¡± (Kings announcer) With a move of the Kings hand a doorway to the arena opened, behind it stood about 15 Goblins. All of them were between level 15 and 30, except for one. A Hobgoblin whose level was 35. They are my kind, but I won¡¯t die for their sake. My life is worth more than theirs. With these thoughts in mind I leaped directly to them, throwing a ball of dark magic at them in the process. I put a lot of power behind that one and as it exploded between the enemies lines it killed several Goblins and crippled some more. Not wasting any time I immediately slit two other Goblins throats, only leaving 6 Goblins, including the Hobgoblin capable of fighting. Then I leapt back to Chiucos side. He will end this fight, I believe that he is capable of it. If he can¡¯t win a fight like this then I don¡¯t have any uses for him in the future. With great accuracy he spit poison into the eyes of two Goblins, rendering them incapable of ever seeing again, two more he swiftly finished with his new sword. Then the only one who could be seen as a real enemy for him charged at him, the Hobgoblin. Chiuco was stunned, I could see the fear in his eyes, his trauma is coming back. Just moments before the Hobgoblin would have smashed the Lizards head in, I leaped in to kick our foe away. Then I proceeded to slap Chiuco in the face, until he snapped out of his stunned mind. ¡°Concentrate, you fool! I won¡¯t save you again.¡± I whispered to him before leaping back again. I keep my word, I won¡¯t save this fool again. When the Hobgoblin charged again, Chiuco managed to defend himself. While both of them were clashing against each other, our foe slowly won the upper hand. Using a chance, Chiuco used his fire breath, which is several times stronger and bigger than mine.
Skill: Fire breath upgraded to (lesser)
With his face burning and his skin smelting he couldn¡¯t hold up his defense, a single slash from Chiuco finished him. The other two Goblins who hid were quickly dealt with. And then, the auction began. ------------------------------------------------ Like I said last chapter, no chapter next week, but I will try to put out 3 chapters a week after that. I hope I will be able to hold that up but if my school exams come up I wont have much time to write. Chapter 8: Raluca So yeah I¡¯m back, I will try to keep the 3 chapters a week that I promised up. Btw I got some news. I will start adding POV¡¯s of other characters, buuuut I will keep about 80% of the story from our mc¡¯s view. Plus this chapter will now adapt what about all of the mature stories get sooner or later (if you know what I mean) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- # POV: Ronica Raluca # Josh brought a new delivery of strong looking Hobgoblins in and even managed to buy some War Orc variant. War Orcs are evolved Orcs, thinner, bigger and way stronger than normal Orcs. They can¡¯t even be compared to the weak Orcs. I plan on¡ testing¡ them later, I can¡¯t wait. Just the thought of having War Orcs, hmmmm. Maybe I will even give Josh a reward, I know he wants one. While I got ready to greet my new pets, Quar rushed in, the young boy really doesn¡¯t know how to knock on a ladies door, I will have him punished later. ¡°My Lady, the Kings personal messenger just arrived, he wants to see you. He said King Robert will be very displeased with you if you won¡¯t come see him now.¡±(Quar) This rude old bastard. One day I will kill this old shitty man, feel his blood on my very own hands, his limbs teared, his eyes crushed and his will broke. And then I will give him the pleasure of death. One day I will get my revenge for what he did to me on that day. Just wait. ¡°How much time did he give me?¡±(Ronica) ¡°He said you got about 15 minutes then he will leave.¡± (Quar) 15 minutes¡ enough time to give young Quar a little reward for informing me, it was getting warm in here anyway. Leaving him drenched in sweat I changed my clothes and got one of my slaves to tell the messenger that I will be coming now. It would be bad if he got too impatient. The messenger was an old acquaintance of mine, I didn¡¯t know that he ranked up to being the kings personal messenger by now, it¡¯s a pleasant surprise to have a good friend in such a position. ¡°Greetings Madam Raluca. As your servant already told you, I am here to deliver a message from King Robert to you.¡± (Messenger) He bowed, it¡¯s nice to see that he still knows his place, even as a friend of mine he is lower than me in these halls of mine. The only ones I would bow to in here would be the King and the Royal family. ¡°If it¡¯s the Kings will that I get this message, then I will make haste answering. Now tell me, what does he want?¡±(Ronica) ¡°No need to answer. It¡¯s nothing that requires a decision. You will be there.¡± (Messenger) With these words he handed me a small letter. ¡°Dave what the? This is MY home! You are not to order me around in here!¡±(Ronica) I accidently heightened my voice, almost shouted at him. ¡°I¡¯m sorry Roni, I tried talking Robert out of ordering you to do it, but he was very specific that I should tell you in the exact words that I just said. Please come there, or we both might lose our heads.¡± (Dave) He left without another word. I was so angry at King Robert, I accidently channeled some magic into my hands, the letter which I still held catched fire. I panicked, threw it on the ground and spilled every liquid I had near me over it. When I finally realized that the fire was already extinguished, the letter was unharmed. The old bastard even used arachnea paper to make the letters, he really wants what is written inside. Arachnea paper, most people don¡¯t even know of its existence. It is the strongest paper there is, fire resistant and made from the carapace of an ancient monster, an Arachnus Magnus, a legendary being of which only all few decades one is born. The paper in my hands is worth a small fortune. I slowly opened the letter and read its contents. ¡®Ronica Raluca, hereby you are ordered to be at the Southport arena at the 21st this month. If you don¡¯t arrive on time see your noble status and all your belongings taken. You will be there to bid on ¡°The Kings Favorite¡±. When you arrive you will be given more specific information.¡± He wants me to bid on some lowly being he took a liking in? Who does he think he is? Oohh I will get my pretty little deary and show him, just how weak any monster is that is not trained by me! Reading on this site? This novel is published elsewhere. Support the author by seeking out the original. -Time jump: Arrival at the arena- A Gremlin? Am I being fooled with? Arachnea paper and a threat to get me here, just to bid on some lowly Gremlin? These creatures don¡¯t even look good! They are nothing more than weak Hobgoblins who look more like dogs than like sentient beings. I can¡¯t wait to make my cute new pet smash this Gremlin of his! I want to see that look on his face when he realizes that he spent a fortune on getting us all here to buy some trash! I didn¡¯t even get a good place, I¡¯m right above the door he will come out of, I won¡¯t even be able to see him properly! Hmph, a normal Gremlin¡ but that Lizard looks interesting, I never had the chance to¡ taste one. I will tell my new toy to keep him alive while crushing that ¡°Tral¡± Gremlin down there. (the fight between Tral, Chiuco and the Goblins now started) I got to admit, he knows how to fight, I really want him, but he is the Kings Favorite and so I will crush him. Nothing will stop me from that. After the two finished the Goblins, the others started bidding, when the auction reached a price of 17 Aur, I started to make my moves. ¡°20 Aurs, for that Lizard down there. The Gremlin is not worth such a price!¡± Quietly everyone stared at me, I just refused one of the Kings direct orders to buy. If now none of the others take my side I¡¯m as good as dead. ¡°21 For that Lizard lad! Lady Raluca is right, what you showed us proved the Lizards worth, not the Gremlins!¡± Luckily Crixus, the fat but surprisingly clever man, accompanied by an Ogre, joined me. ¡°*sigh* What do you wish to see then? Just say it and Tral will show his worth.¡± (King) ¡°I¡¯ve brought a special pet of mine here today. I just got him recently, he should be more than enough.¡± (Ronica) The King nodded, so I let several of my servants make my fighter ready. This will be just beautiful. # POV: Tral # They are arguing about my price. I wonder who will end up buying me. I¡¯m not particularly mad that I will be sold, a real home would be way better than the cave we live in right now, but I don¡¯t want to leave the others behind. The woman who looked at me with lustful eyes, let¡¯s call her ¡®Lust¡¯ for now, got the King into sending another monster for me. I will prove my worth. Chiuco will not be needed this time, I will finish this alone. ¡°Chiuco stay back, I will finish this. Just wait and watch, you might learn something from it.¡±(Me) I¡¯m sure this young Lizard will one day be very strong if I keep him alive till then. Like the others I will train him. If our buyer plans to keep us fighting in the arena than I promise you, our squad will be a legend one day. Just wait for it. (little info: Chiuco is a lizard so when he talks it will be kind of lizardlike¡ or at least kinda inhumane so don¡¯t be confused about weird spelling and so on) ¡°Traaaaal, are you sssure? I will beee of greaat assssisstance I promissse.¡± (Chiuco) That¡¯s the first time he said several sentenced at once. Normally he said a maximum of a few words, I already thought he was as dumb as Gur. His voice is of a very high tone, just as you imagine a snake speaking he stretches many vocals and ¡®s¡¯s. ¡°Don¡¯t worry about it. Just watch and enjoy!¡± (Me) I want to fight something strong now! I want a challenge like with the Borees, a fight about life and death. This Dog eat Dog world will give me this! I know that. Then I felt something behind the door where the Goblins came from before. It was closed again, but I felt a tremendous power, a power strong enough to crush me, behind it. A weirdly familiar aura. ------------------- Little info for the next day: I will soon upload an info chapter explaining specific information about the evolution and the world of ¡®Re: Corruption¡¯. Plus I may(I¡¯m not sure bout this point) add some of our mc¡¯s backstory to it. Chapter 8.1: Info and pre rebirth story Heyo you all. So what I wanted to explain in this ¡®chapter¡¯ is he following: 1. A few more specific info about the evolution system 2. Why I didn¡¯t do much world building yet The Evolution system I have in mind isn¡¯t quite linear. Depending on the beings doings various things can happen as we already know. A Goblin has several standard evolutions, but lots of other evolutions that can only be brought out with a high gods involvement or special rituals (such individuals will be included in the story later on) Also there are dozens of ¡®Starters¡¯. Goblins, Lizardlings, Orcs, etc.. They all have a basically unlimited variation of evolutions, but each race has a specific ancestor. For example a Lizardling will never evolve into an Ogre, like the normal Goblins do. But an Orc, being somewhat like Goblins, can under rare circumstances evolve into variant Ogres. There is no limit in how many times a being can evolve. What would be considered the last step would be becoming a god, or godlike creature. But even then most can still evolve (just that these evolutions are mostly just looks changing). Okay now to the ¡®variants¡¯ and so on. There are several additions a monster can get while evolving. Mostly they are given due to a gods blessing, sometimes because of something else. The normal ones are: ¡®Variant¡¯ ¨C a being with one blessing, stronger than a normal one of its species, often shows high magic affinities. ¡®Great¡¯ ¨C Stronger than a normal one ¡®Blessed¡¯ ¨C Shows strong magic affinities, can only occur when a lesser god blessed the being ¡®cursed¡¯ ¨C When a god hates the individual, but wants to keep it alive, or isn¡¯t able to kill it(cursed isn¡¯t always a downgrade for the monster but can give it special advantages) Most of them can be mixed, so that for example a ¡®Blesses Variant Ogre¡¯ appears. Then there are extra additions they can have. These occur when very specific special decisions were made or actions were done. ¡®Rare¡¯ ¨C One or several Gods are interested in blessing the being, but are not sure whether or not it could be a danger to them one day. Gives extra magic power. Can also mean that the being is supported by one or more very powerful non god individuals. ¡®Ripped¡¯ ¨C The being was forced to evolve via magic. Puts big strains on the beings body, often killing it. Sometimes the wearer mutates into a very strong abomination ¡®Artificial¡¯ ¨C The being was made by magic. Then there are special additions. They are only given when a being achieves something special. They all give general stat ups and are the strongest additions. ¡®Unique¡¯ ¨C the first and only one of its race ¡®Ancient¡¯ ¨C only a few of this race live, and they are thousands of years old ¡®Extinct¡¯ ¨C like unique, just that there was once another one of that race ¡®Godly¡¯ ¨C Being which achieved the power of a god ¡®Demonly¡¯ ¨C Being which achieved the power of a godlike demon Ok to the world building thing. I didn¡¯t do much yet because I want to remain most of the things from our mc¡¯s POV (excluding some rare other pov¡¯s), so as he didn¡¯t have much chances to learn anything about the outer world yet, we haven¡¯t either. But do not worry you great human beings. It will all happen. Now as I promised a bit of backstory to our mc (and yes it is quite fucked up) but remember: Our mc doesn¡¯t remember much, sometimes he dreams of it or has short visions (these will occur some more in the future), so most of the information is unknown to him. Also some of the visions might not be 100% accurate. -------------------------------------- # POV: Mark ¨C before death# I was born in a small town which was located in the north of the USA. I was what you would call an ¡®accident¡¯, my parents didn¡¯t want to have me, they gave me to an orphanage. At the age of 2 I was adopted by a family, a nice woman, her husband and their 3 year old son. Later I would call him my brother, and although I always knew that we had no real blood bonds he would always be my family. You might be reading a pirated copy. Look for the official release to support the author. My new father died when I was 5, leaving my brother¡¯s mother alone with the two of us. She did everything she could to provide my brother and me an acceptable life. I¡¯m pretty sure she even prostituted herself at one stage. We both took part time jobs at the age of 12. It was little but good money, helping the three of us out. My brother¡¯s mother, whom I never recognized as my own mother, married again. Her first husband was a nice and caring man, her new one was rich, but nothing alike the man she once loved. He hit her when he felt like it, regularly brought home other woman and did drugs and got drunk while we were around. This man shaped me, he is the reason why I grew up to who I was. I thank him for that. He defined me, he showed me who I was. I paid him back in full. At the age of 16 I stabbed him. It was the first time I ever hurt something bigger than a spider. It felt good. With his blood still on my hands I buried the corpse in a garden a few streets further. I destroyed any traces and anonymously called the police. Our neighbor was prosecuted because of murder. It felt good. It felt relieving. I wanted to do it again, the urge started to spread inside me. And I tell you, it wasn¡¯t the last time. In his will he gave me all his money, saying that I was the son that he wanted to shape like himself, he wanted to make me his successor. He sure succeeded in that *creepy laugh*. With the money I bought a house in Vegas, leaving my mother and brother alone. At the age of 19 I wasted all the money in drugs, prostitutes and gambling, I came back to my family. They changed. My brother¡¯s mother got addicted to cocaine, my brother was broken, he tried helping her but she got aggressive and attacked him every time he tried, so he ran too. Using what I learned in the past years I pocket picked and stole myself to enough money to get my brother a little flat, I paid a store owner to give him a job. That was the time when I met an old friend of mine. In my childhood I had a crush on his sister, who was also back in town. The four of us, me, my brother, my friend and his sister, went one night to a pub in the neighborhood. We all got drunk, I spent the night with my friend¡¯s sister and the next morning we continued drinking. We were all wasted, me the least. I decided to be in condition to drive. That decision cost my brother¡¯s life. We¡ I crashed, made it out alive. My brother wasn¡¯t that lucky, I saw him burning alive. That was probably the first time I really felt regret for what I did, and up until now the last time. His mother cried about his death, cursing me, saying she shouldn¡¯t have allowed her first husband to adopt me. Saying she should have suffocated me in my slept like she planned to. I never felt much for her, but at these words I felt despair, fear. I ran. Took my friend¡¯s sister, Tris, with me. We went to Vegas again, just that I was broke this time. We did everything to get money, I stole and killed, she prostituted herself. A year after our arrival in our new home she died because of a drug overdose. I went into nonstop drinking, drugging and whoring. A few months later Tris¡¯s brother found me. He kidnapped me and tortured me. But he didn¡¯t kill me. When the police stopped him from killing me, I told them everything I did. After some investigation I was put into jail. There I survived 21 days. In these days I did whatever I felt like. Killed prisoners, sometimes guards, destroyed the few things the others had, all for one goal. To feel alive. They then killed me. Ganged up on me, knocked me almost unconscious and kicked my body all over till I was dead. That¡¯s my story, or at least my story from when I was human. I regret nothing, except for my brother¡¯s death. Chapter 9: Failure The door slowly opened. With the aura from behind it becoming clearer and clearer, I lost my cool. My eyes widened and mouth open I just stood there, stunned. ¡°Boy¡*pant*¡It¡¯s you¡¡± (???) I thought him dead, yet he stood before me. A huge mass of muscle, a now dark skin, wounds everywhere. He had a look of agony on his face, someone did this to him¡
Ripped Ogre
NameTralgur
TitleBroken
Level2
(I forgot to mention that the ripped title also applies if the forceful evolutions fails) He looked as if he was about to collapse, only his willpower keeping him up. ¡°I see¡*pant*¡ you evolved¡*pant*¡ I¡¯m sorry for¡*pant* what is about to happen¡*pant*¡±(Tralgur) ¡°What happened to you?¡± (Tral) ¡°They experimented on me¡*pant*¡ The King¡¯s researchers...¡± (Tralgur) I don¡¯t value the life of others much, except for whom I consider my family. Although I was only born not so long ago this Ogre helped me a lot, without his help I may have died again. I consider him as my family. And the King did this to him? Made him some kind of Ogre abomination? He will soon learn what it means to hurt someone I consider important. I will make him beg for death! ¡°Boy¡*pant*¡ you have to do one¡*pant*¡ thing for me.¡±(Tralgur) ¡°What is it? I will do my best.¡± (Tral) He, unarmed, started charging to me. I almost forgot where we were. The arena. Many enter, few leave. ¡°KILL ME BOY!¡±(Tralgur) When he ran half the distance between us his muscles began to grow, destroying his skin, and his eyes started to glow in a bloody red.
Skill: Berserk (complete) learned
He won¡¯t care if it¡¯s me or anyone else anymore. That¡¯s how he survived in the arena, by killing whoever stood in his way. That¡¯s the only way to survive here. I dodged last second using leap to create some distance. I wanted to talk to him, but as how he was now, he would neither listen, nor answer. I need to fight. Without hesitation I leaped back to Tralgur, directly in front of him, the moment he tried to grab me I leaped directly upwards, slashed his arms and shoulder and landed on his back, just too slash a last time and leap away again. Even though I just completely one-sidedly should have done some serious damage he almost didn¡¯t bleed. If not for the cleaver he gave me, I wouldn¡¯t have been able to make him bleed at all. The problem was simple, his skin and muscles where too thick to make real wounds with my weapons and my strength. Using various tactics I managed to inflict some minor injuries on his body, when he managed to hit me. I flew across half the arena, several of my ribs broken I felt death approaching me as Tralgur jumped into my direction. As he stood above me I felt the rage in his mind weaken. I heard a crazy laugh from behind me from Lust. ¡°That¡¯s how it¡¯s supposed to be boy, I¡¯m sorry.¡± (Tralgur) He lifted me up, I felt how he slowly cracked my skull, the pain was too much for any normal being to handle. Luckily I am not normal. Acidic Spit hit his ear, when Chiuco decided to break my orders and help me, giving me the chance to get Tralgur¡¯s weakspot, his exposed stomach, with my strongest magic. I channeled all Darkness power (/mana) I had inside me into my hands. I already dropped the cleaver.
Skill: Magic body reinforcement (normal) learned
Using everything I had I pierced his skin and muscle with my now magically reinforced claws. I felt how his his flesh dissolved under the influence of my Darkness magic, but it wasn¡¯t enough. Tralgur was an extremely experienced fighter, he survived longer in the arena than most Gladiators. He himself doesn¡¯t know anything other than the arena. Years of fighting on the edge of death gave him fast reactions, fast enough to throw me, who he still grabbed, at the arena¡¯s wall before I could reach his heart. His eyes started to shine red again, everything started over. Only that this time not me was the target, but Chiuco, who was too stunned to move. Not many would be able to control themselves when an enraged two and a half meter tall Ogre furiously charges at them. I lied at the wall of the arena, just watching how Chiuco barely managed to dodge the Ogre, but still managed to use one of his acidic spits and hit him directly in the eye. A Lizard that only days ago had problems fighting a few Goblins now manages to hurt an Ogre such as Tralgur. I¡¯m proud of the little guy. I watched for several minutes how Chiuco barely survived, jumping and running at every chance, when he got cornered. The aura Tralgur still gave off told me that he was now in a state between being a maniac Berserk and his normal self, he had everything under control and still had access to the power and mindlessness of a Berserker. Truly terrifying. If you encounter this narrative on Amazon, note that it''s taken without the author''s consent. Report it. I remembered, the potion I took with me, the one the guard gave Gur. I grabbed into my pocket only to feel that it got shattered while we fought, that was to be expected. I grabbed al the shard and held them above my head, so that every drop of the liquid would drop into my mouth. It was enough to lessen the pain from my broken ribs, but not enough to heal the wounds. I looked up and saw how Chiuco screamed as Tralgur squeezed his arm. He had no chance to flee.
Skill: Mindful Berserker (complete) learned
That¡¯s my last resort, all I got left. I want to survive. I will do everything for that. And if it means to lose my mind, than that is a small price to pay. #POV: Chiuco# MY ARM! IT HURTS! HE¡¯S RIPPING IT OFF! SAVE ME! The pain was too much to talk, I only screamed without forming words. I screamed even more as I felt how my bones broke and my flesh teared apart. It felt like hours passed by, all I heard was a crazy laugh from the Ogre, nothing more. My vision went black but I still felt the pain. Oh please just end it. Using the last bit of power I had in me I breathed fire into the Ogre¡¯s face, giving me seconds of rest as he loosened the grab on me to extinguish the flames on his head. I looked up to him, I knew I would die here. Maybe in a few seconds, maybe from the blood I lost. This fight was my inevitable death. As I looked at the Ogre¡¯s face, I saw something on his back. It was furiously biting and clawing him. Tral¡¯s whole body was colored red, his eyes glowing brighter than the red moon that is sometimes visible at night, his cries of anger louder and stronger than anything I heard before. The Ogre couldn¡¯t do anything, he screamed and ran around to get the Gremlin of his back, after about a minute he just let himself fall, trying to trap his enemy between himself and the ground. Useless. Tral simply grabbed his head and spun himself on the Ogre¡¯s chest, where he started clawing into the wound he earlier inflicted. Before the Ogre came to his senses and tried to grab him, but Tral got hold of one of his ribs and ribbed it out before jumping away. I felt the blood rush out of my body, my last moments approached. The people who watched us looked all stunned, they had a look of a mix of fear and confusion on their face. The Ogre still lied on the ground, in too much pain to stand up, with Tral directly behind his head. With a wild scream he gushed his opponents eyes out and leaped on his chest. There he did a last effort and pierced the Ogre¡¯s heart with his claws. It was over. I can¡¯ breathe anymore¡ #POV: Tral# I don¡¯t remember much. All I know is that Tral was about to destroy Chiuco¡¯s arm when I decided to use my newly acquired Berserk skill. As I used it this showed up.
Skill Berserk and Mindful Berserker combined and formed Skill True Berserk
Then I lost consciousness almost completely, I only recall how I clawed at Tralgur¡¯s back and how I gushed his eyes out. Right now I am lying next to him, he isn¡¯t breathing anymore. ¡°Tralgur, are you still alive?¡±(Tral) ¡°Did you¡chose¡ a name yet?¡± (Tralgur) ¡°Yes, I named myself Tral when given the choice. One of the others took Gur as his name.¡±(Tral) ¡°Hmph you idiots¡ You honor me¡ Thank you for this, I owe you one¡±(Tralgur) He coughed blood and I knew that his last moment of life just ended. I felt a single tear on my cheek.
ANNOUNCEMENT: CONDITIONS FOR EVOLUTION HAVE BEEN CLEARED! AVAILABLE EVOLUTIONS WILL NOW BE LISTED
Requirements cleared: Level 100; Butchers Butcher; Otherworldly; Back from the dead; Prodigy; Defier of fate; catched a gods interest; Observer; Trainer; Leader
Special condition for special evolution cleared: Patricide.
Available Evolution Paths will now be shown.
Patricide? He was my father? I had no choice¡ I didn¡¯t want this¡ And then everything went black ---------------------------------------------- I will from time to time add stuff to the Info chapter (like new things like variant, etc.) . Also I already decided on what to let him evolve into. The race I used is completely made up. I will write several side stories from his past life or the life of other important characters from time to time too. Deal with it. And yeah that¡¯s pretty much everything. Thanks for reading. Chapter 10: A new day Sorry for the late release. Wasn¡¯t really in the mood to write and well yeah that¡¯s my reason. But this chapter is more than double the length than the others, so that should be sufficient. --------------------------------------------------------------- I woke up inside a wooden carriage. I could feel how it slowly moved forward, we were on a bumpy road. Around me were a few sleeping creatures, Gur, Tris and Chiuco. Gur had a few bruises, but wasn¡¯t bleeding. I guess he tried running away when they put him into the carriage. It was dark, the wood of which our transport was made of didn¡¯t have one crack and no sunlight came in, either that or it was night. Even though no light was present I saw everything perfectly, better than ever before. As my mind became less cloudy I realized that what I identified as Chiuco wasn¡¯t looking like Chiuco at all. He was bigger than before, bigger than I am. His skin was covered with dark red scales and his body looked like that of a humanoid Raptor, with long claws and a long head. Because he slept with his mouth open I was able to see his teeth, to say the least they were each at least as long as my cleaver and probably pointier (is that actually a word) than most swords.
Rapteroid (Rare Variant)
NameChiuco
TitleOne Armed Prodigy
Level2
He evolved, huh? Good for you little guy. But what is with that Title? I understand the prodigy part, he¡¯s rather strong for a monster that was born as a Lizardling, but one armed? As he turned around in his sleep I saw it, his left arm was completely destroyed. Only one fourth of it remained, the other three fourth were taken by Tralgur. The leftover arm stump looked strangely grotesque, with pieces of skin hanging everywhere and part of his bones visible under the newly grown skin. At least this makes it so he will never forget the fight that made him strong. He now probably overpowers Gur without a problem, I will have to make that Hobgoblin train more. Gur and Tris both looked like always, relaxed and healthy. Since me and Chiuco went to the fight they didn¡¯t level up once, I bet they skipped their training while I was gone. A more strict training plan will be appropriate from now on. Both of them against a certain Rapteroid or me should be sufficient. Wait¡ I remember the evolution screen that popped up before I went to sleep, what was on there again?
ANNOUNCEMENT: CONDITIONS FOR EVOLUTION HAVE BEEN CLEARED! AVAILABLE EVOLUTIONS WILL NOW BE LISTED
Requirements cleared: Level 100; Butchers Butcher; Otherworldly; Back from the dead; Prodigy; Defier of fate; catched a gods interest; Observer; Trainer; Leader
Special condition for special evolution cleared: Patricide.
Available Evolution Paths will now be shown.
Between the evolutions I got this time I think I just chose one random, because I was about to lose consciousness. I remember parts of what was shown.
Troll: A being between 4 and 5 meters high, extremely strong and ugly. It is unable to feel emotions like passion and love, but feels rage and hatred even more than any other being. When it stays in the sunlight for too long it will lost parts of its abilities and will get slower. This evolution will take almost all your affinities due to a Troll not being able to cast magic of any sorts, except for weak earth magic.
Gargoyle: A creature whose skin is made of stone. Its height is about 2,5 meters and it is slightly weaker than a normal Ogre. On its back grows a pair of wings whenever it has the desire to fly, but due to it being made of stone it can only fly short distances. High stone magic affinity and medium darkness magic affinity guaranteed.
Special Evolution: Maltroll
One of the only creatures the Goddess of Death ever created, only available for those that commit any of the darkest crimes a being can imagine. It reaches about 2 meters in height and is extremely fast. Its strength easily exceeds that of a normal Ogre. It is basically a better looking, small version of the Troll, but is slightly weaker, has a higher intelligence and has no weakness to sunlight. Has high affinity for darkness, death and blood magic and low magic affinity for earth magic, cannot use light, life, illusion and holy magic and cannot bestow blessings. Easily enrages.
Maltroll (Ancient Cursed Variant)
NameTral
TitleSlayer
Level6
So I chose the Maltroll, the special evolution I got from committing patricide, this doesn¡¯t feel right. Even for me. If I could choose again I don¡¯t know what I would take. The Troll loses all its magic affinities except for earth magic, which I don¡¯t know. In addition to that it is at least 4 meters high and extremely ugly. I don¡¯t want any of these two, the being ugly for obvious reasons and a size of 4 meters is nothing else than disadvantageous. Also I don¡¯t want to become a night creature. The Gargoyle would¡¯ve been interesting. Having the ability to fly can certainly be a big advantage in a fight. A stone like defense wouldn¡¯t be a bad thing either, but I don¡¯t think I would have chosen it. Why? Simply having stone like skin means that you can move like your skin is made of stone, slow. My fighting style concentrates on fast movements and acrobatics, being slow is a no go there. I guess I would have taken the Maltroll anyway. Except for the restricted magic affinities it sounds too good. Both strength and speed would be better than an Ogres or a Gremlins, it is said to be at least somewhat attractive and also has none of the weaknesses a normal Troll has. The affinities for death and blood magic are highly interesting, only the thought of being able to use an enemy¡¯s life force to heal myself is great. Also I never planned on becoming a healer or light mage, so I really don¡¯t have an issue with these affinities becoming useless. I guess almost unconscious me was rather lucky. I couldn¡¯t deal with being a big ugly thing or a freaking stone. My new body overflowed with power. I felt like I could do anything, like I could fight a dragon, or well at least a wyvern I guess. I need to stretch my limbs, but this small carriage doesn¡¯t allow me any mobility. It wasn¡¯t even big enough for me to stand up completely, as I did I accidently destroyed the wood planks covering its top. What¡¯s done is done, nothing I can do to fix the planks now, so I just grabbed them with my hands, which by the way had claws which I could sheathe like a cat, and ripped the planks apart. Finally some fresh air, it was getting stuffy in there. In the distance I could see mountains and large forests all around us. It was a sunny day with no cloud in the sky. Doesn¡¯t fit my mood at all. Around me were about 20 soldiers riding on horse like creatures called Dioramas. They were a little bit smaller than normal horses and had striped legs and a striped back. Their fur was in a light brown and they didn¡¯t wear any saddles.

The soldiers wore chainmail and leather pants, every one of them had brown hair and rather muscular build. As I watched them my ability told me that they all were between level 21 and 40 and were from a human race called ¡°Nords¡±. Most of them had beards and long, brown hair. When I first stuck my head out of the carriage some of them made surprised noised, now the whole caravan, which consisted of 4 wagons, such as the one I rode in, stopped. My excellent ears picked up mumblings. ¡°Why is he awake? We were told that they¡¯d all sleep until we arrive!¡± (Random soldier) ¡°What the? We were transporting such a thing? What is that?¡± (Another soldier) As everything quieted down a soldier riding on a variant Diorama which had dark green fur rode in front of me. He wore armor which looked of higher quality than that of the other soldiers and had a helmet with golden decorations on his head. ¡°Beast! I know you understand me! Go back into your carriage and stay put until we arrive or we will have to punish you!¡± (Soldier leader) So that¡¯s how it is? They have me captive and now they threaten me? In my growing rage I instinctively channeled my darkness magic into his direction. If I had done that before my evolution it would have instantly killed him, but now I was able to completely control my magic at that distance. I let it take one of his ears to show how easily I can destroy his flesh and jumped in front of him, not even 20 centimeters distance between our faces. ¡°Do you want to die, brat?¡± (Tral) ¡°W-What is this? I o-order you t-to dispel that magic of yours, you b-beast!¡± (Soldier leader) I grabbed his throat and applied pressure on it. Enough to take his breath and hurt him, but not enough to kill him or snap his neck. ¡°Answer me if you don¡¯t want to die a painful death. Where are we going?¡±(Tral) My voice was deep, deeper than before. It feels dark. ¡°W-Were on the way to L-Lord C-Crixus residence.¡± (Soldier leader) ¡°Is he the one that bought me? Also where are my weapons?¡± (Tral) ¡°Y-yes he bought you at the arena. Your w-weapons were left there, Lord C-Crixus said they were too shabby for a fighter like y-you.¡± (Soldier leader) So that¡¯s what that bastard thinks about the cleaver which Tralgur gave to me, the weapon that saved my life in the fight against the Borees? I planned to continue fighting in the arena. I would have had a place to stay and would be able to fight strong foes, but I refuse to live under a man that can¡¯t even see a weapons worth. I let the soldier go, he answered all my questions for the moment. ¡°You all go now. Run back to you lord. Tell him that I do not accept a piece of filth like him as my master. Go now, before I lose my patience!¡± (Tralgur) As I spoke I already heard how the soldier leader behind me unsheathed his longsword, that fool forgot that I still got my dark magic around him. ¡°E-EVERYONE ATTACK AT ONCE! KEEP HIM ALIVE BUT DON¡¯T WORRY IF HE LOSES A FEW LIMBS!¡±(Soldier leader) About half of the soldiers charged at me, the other ones were stunned in fear and didn¡¯t move. Finally a chance to stretch my muscles. With swift moves and leaps in jumped around and used my claws to cut and stab. It is amazing how far I now can control my magic. Even though the soldier leader is now completely surrounded by my magic it doesn¡¯t kill him, it doesn¡¯t even scratch him. Because I don¡¯t want it to. For him it is now as if he is kept inside a black solid box without being able to move at all. The perfect prison, efficient and dangerous at the same time. I can kill him whenever I want. It all ended in less than a few minutes. I left 5 soldiers including the soldier leader alive, they will tell me what I want to know. I tied them up with some rope I found on one of the soldiers saddles. If you encounter this narrative on Amazon, note that it''s taken without the author''s consent. Report it. All the Dioramas were kept alive. Strangely they had no fear of me and even let me touch them. They are probably some kind of domestic monster, dumb but strong. As I searched the other wagons I found out that we weren¡¯t the only ones that were transported. In one I found 12 Humans, 8 female and 4 male. In one other wagon were 5 Orcs, 3 Imps and one being called a Kappa. It looked like an Imp, just a little bigger and had blue skin instead of red. He also had something that looked like Gills on his throat. On the last wagon I searched was equipment. Mostly iron swords and iron armor but I found a weapon that would fit my fighting style perfectly, a Halberd. With it I could attack both at medium and at short range. I will try to get some daggers or small axes for stealth later on.

A well done Halberd which was enchanted by students of the Magic Academy
Magical propertiesCuts easier than normal and feels lighter than it actually is.
Not too shabby. This ¡®Magic Academy¡¯ sounds rather interesting, one day I may check that out. All of the armor was made for humans who normally have smaller and thinner bodies than I do, so none of the armor fitted me, except for one helmet, made of a bears skull and decorated with a buck¡¯s horns. (to clarify a buck is a male deer right? Not sure about that) I put it on for no apparent reason. It had no effects or anything special. I just liked the design. Next I stripped the captured human soldiers of their armor and weapons, surprisingly only 3 of the 5 were male, the other two were young woman. Not wanting to stay in the middle of the road I had them load up the corpses and pull the carriages inside the forest which was a few minutes of walk away from us. In a few days, when this Crixus realizes that what he bought will never arrive, there will probably someone be coming after us. We need to go deeper. After a few hours in the woods Gur and Chiuco woke up. Gur¡¯s first reaction was to shriek and tackle me, then he saw Chiuco and tried to climb a tree in order to hide. A genius as always. Chiuco started inspecting his body and mumbled something about feeling strong and how great it is to live while he hysterically jumped around, not minding his missing arm. ¡°Gur what are you doing? Get down here now!¡±(Tral) ¡°You! Big Monster! Gur not dumb! Get away or Gur will attacked!¡±(Gur) This guy¡ ¡°Gur goddamnit! It¡¯s me, Tral! I evolved.¡± (Tral) ¡°Tral? Brother? You no look like before!¡± (Gur) ¡°I already told you, I evolved! Now get down here or I will have to come up there. And believe me you don¡¯t want that.¡±(Tral) ¡°Okayokayokay me is on my way.¡±(Gur) Just as he climbed down and took a look at how my body changed he realized that a certain Rapteroid was also there and tried to run away again. It took some time to convince him that the happy lizard was indeed Chiuco. After that he quickly went back to being his old cheerful self and played a game of tag with Chiuco, which he miserably lost. The lizard really got fast, Gur had no chance. After I slapped some seriousness into the two of them I ordered them to watch over my prisoners, who looked terrified of Chiuco, and to tell everyone that wakes up, in what kind of situation they were. In the meantime I went and scouted the area out. Mainly to find a place where we could stay for the moment and secondarily to test how fast I can move forward with my body. I found several kinds of wildlife. Foxes, small cats, rats, wolves, a few kinds of bears, snakes, big spiders, rabbits and a few different species of birds, like eagles and sparrows. They were all low leveled and I had no problem with any of them, but I was also in a hurry so I observed none for too long and got no new abilities, I will do that sometime else. After a few hours of search I found a small cave in the middle of the forest. Directly next to it was a small river that seemed to go through the mountain. It was about to be dawn so I didn¡¯t have enough time to clear the whole cave, but I entered it for a few minutes and killed some kind of bat, called ¡°seven-colored bat¡± which inhabited it. The bats in general were weak, but there were two individuals among them called ¡°Vampire Bat¡± that were bigger and faster than the others. As I arrived back at the carriages it was way better than expected. Gur knocked the soldiers out when they tried to convince him to let them go, and was now chatting with some of the human women that were transported. He certainly isn¡¯t the brightest but I got to admit, he¡¯s a real ladykiller. The women can¡¯t get enough of him and are standing around him, chatting with him nonstop. Chiuco was nowhere to be seen, after angrily shouting his name he fell out of a treetop, where he slept while he let Gur do the work of watching our prisoners. Tris was the only one that seemed to take the order I gave them, which Gur told her as best as he could after she woke up, serious. She had some leather armor and a longsword equipped which she found in the equipment carriage and was watching out that no one tried to run away. She ran to me and hugged me when I arrived, she didn¡¯t even question why I was looking different now and seemed to instinctively know that it was me. I spotted the Dioramas who followed us near the carriages, where they were happily playing with each other and eating grass and small plants. The Diorama variant itself bit off parts of a trees bark and wood without problems and seemed to enjoy them. As I moved closer to them, most were backing off, except for the variant one. It walked directly in front of me and looked me in the eyes. This thing was no normal, dumb monster. It was at least as intelligent as Gur, what is to be honest not a big step from being a dumb monster. I moved closer to it, holding my hand in front of me as if I wanted to pet a cat. It didn¡¯t flinch when I touched it, but the other Dioramas seemed to realize that I meant no harm and continued to eat.
Skill: monster taming (lesser) learned
As soon as that popped up I felt as if the Diorama was asking me if I wanted to be its master. Without thinking about it I said ¡®yes¡¯ in my mind.
Master-pet pact successfully created
I felt as if my new pet had some kind of mental connection with me now. As I wanted it to walk to Tris, who stood behind me, I ordered it by thinking, without saying a word. It understood and walked up to her without hesitation. I myself am faster than most monsters that could carry me, but Tris herself would have great advantages from being seated on this Diorama.
Are you sure to pass the Master-Pet pact to Hobgoblin Tris?
Indeed I am. She looked surprised, stunned at how she suddenly became master of a variant Diorama. After I told her what I just did I left her alone to get used to her new companion. She immediately started playing with it and riding it around. In the meantime all the sleeping Orcs and Imps had woken up. I gathered them and talked to them all. ¡°You were slaves. Treated like trash and thrown away for copper coins! My Name is Tral and I am gonna kill that one they call King, the one they call Crixus and the one that made me fight my father. I will rip them apart and destroy everything they have built. I want every one of you to decide now. Join me on my path of death and vengeance or run and hide like maggots.¡± (Tral) Chiuco and Tris were already standing beside me and Gur, who quickly realized that he was not standing with us, ran to Chiuco and shouted something about ripping some humans apart. ¡°They killed my brethren and enslaved me and made me kill for their enjoyment. I will join you.¡± (Kappa ¨C now called Kruxs) With him several Imps, who seemed to be his acquaintances, joined us. ¡°Heard Humans eat us! Bastards! Only Orc is allowed to eat Orc after good fight! They slaughter without fight! We with you!¡± (several Orcs) All except for some of the Imps and Orcs joined us by now. Left were only the humans that were in a discussion with each other right now. One of them started raging and jumped in front of me. He was almost as big as Tralgur and has muscles which would make any Hobgoblin jealous. ¡°YOU THINK YOU CAN KILL THE MAN THAT ENSLAVED US?¡± (Vrag) ¡°I don¡¯t only think I can do that. I KNOW I will do that.¡± (Tral) ¡°HAH! You got balls! I will aid you with my hammer! BUT DON¡¯T YOU DARE WASTE MAH TIME!¡± (Leo) As I examined him I realized that his Job was indeed blacksmith. He will be very useful in the future. I will make him work off his excessive energy so he will scream a bit less. Several other humans joined him and came over to our side, including the women that had taken a liking in Gur. Lucky little guy. The other slaves we saved agreed to join us, but didn¡¯t want to enter my crusade. I won¡¯t force any former slave to help me, so I¡¯m fine with this as long as they proof themselves useful. As the last humans decided I heard the soldier leader, whose hands and feet were tied down so he couldn¡¯t escape. He muttered something about not joining us and started crawling away. He thought I didn¡¯t see or hear him. It was evening already and in the cover of the trees most humans wouldn¡¯t have seen much. But I am no human, everything in the darkness is as clear for me as if it was day, if not even clearer. I went furious, couldn¡¯t stop myself and almost went into True Berserk mode. Before the skill automatically activated itself with my growing rage I got into Mindful Berserk mode. Slowly I walked to the soldier leader, my eyes glowing red and my muscles growing nonstop. He shivered as I picked him up at his neck, begged me to let him down and forgive him. I wasn¡¯t planning on doing that. ¡°You four others. I let you live even though you attacked me. Do you think I¡¯m gonna do that a second time? Because I sure as hell won¡¯t. This is a warning for the four of you. Don¡¯t fuck with me!¡±(Tral) I enhanced my claws with darkness magic. I put in enough power to destroy flesh without problems, but not destroy bones. ¡°All of these slaves have slave marks on their bodies, on their heads, torsos, arms or legs. Now I will show everyone here that you are not worth anything more than an object. You are now our possession. A worthless one that is. And we are free now.¡± I let my claws sink into his flesh, knowing that it would never fully heal again. Even if this man would survive the next days no healer would ever be able to restore his body. I took my time and enjoyed it. As I was done on his back was written ¡®SHAME¡¯ and on his chest ¡®MAGGOT¡¯ with my darkness magic. The wounds didn¡¯t bleed, I made it that way so that he would not die now, but it would also never fully close. Till the last day of his miserable life he will feel the pain. And he will remember my face in his darkest nightmares. That I will make sure of, trust me. And now, now it is time to start a new day. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Okay you guys. I will take the next days to come up with how I will manage the magic system and maybe some use for titles. For that I will post a new info chapter in which I will include what I wrote in the old one. Also I will take some time until the next chapter to think of how to continue. Expect maybe half a week to a week of no updates. All the informations Okay you beatiful human beings. Heres the info chapter I promised. Beforehand I wanna say two things. First of all, the short info chapter I posted before will be included here, and second, because I really am no good at writing info stuff like this, reading this may be rather corny. So feel free to skip if you want. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- 1. A few more specific info about the evolution system 2. Why I didn¡¯t do much world building yet 3. Magic 4. How potions work 5. How magic stones work 6. How humans become strong (they can¡¯t evolve like monsters) 7. Gods 8. Blessings and curses 9. Titles 1.)The Evolution system I have in mind isn¡¯t quite linear. ¡®Unique¡¯ ¨C the first and only one of its race ¡®Ancient¡¯ ¨C only a few of this race live, and they are thousands of years old ¡®Extinct¡¯ ¨C like unique, just that there was once another one of that race ¡®Godly¡¯ ¨C Being which achieved the power of a god ¡®Demonly¡¯ ¨C Being which achieved the power of a godlike demon 2.)Ok to the world building thing. I didn¡¯t do much yet because I want to remain most of the things from our mc¡¯s POV (excluding some rare other pov¡¯s), so as he didn¡¯t have much chances to learn anything about the outer world yet, we haven¡¯t either. 3.) I thought a lot about how to manage the magic system and my solution is quite simple. I don¡¯t. In the world of Re:Corruption there is no set magic, everything is about an individual¡¯s race, affinities, training and certain blessings. Tral for example started as a Goblin. Goblins have no chance of getting magic at all, EXCEPT they were born under a blessing of a god or a very mighty being. Imps in contradiction to that are born with a medium fire affinity and a weak fairy magic affinity (because they are a weak kind of fairies). Now these can evolve. Often creates sub races like variants can use magic of certain affinities better than the original race. Evolutions like the Gremlin evolution are often slightly weaker but have guaranteed magic affinities. Some evolutions also restrict beings from certain magic. Now. How beings use magic. I didn¡¯t want to use conventional spells n stuff, so magic is like an energy they can freely control. If a being uses his magic right he can literally do anything with it, creating rooms, making plants grow, refining material, cook, etc.. Whatever you can imagine can be done with magic, it only requires a sufficient magic talent (think of magic as kind of a green lantern power, just stronger). 4.) There are 3 kinds of potions. 1. Instant potions: These are Energy (mana) or Health potions that only have a minor effect like healing broken ribs or closing a wound, but work instantly. 2. Strong potions: These are Energy (mana) or health potions that take hours to days to fully take effect. They can heal almost everything except for lost limbs. 3. Effect potions: These are potions that apply a certain effect when used. Can be stuff like an aphrodisiac or an adrenalin potion, but can also contain poisons or something against poisons or magic. 5.) There are stones and¡ stones. These second kinds of stones are called ¡®magic stones¡¯ (yes that¡¯s such a creative name¡). They hold certain magic powers and can be used on various occasions. For example a fire stone can be used to heat a stove, a water stone can be used to produce a small stream of water or to speed up existing water currents. A case of content theft: this narrative is not rightfully on Amazon; if you spot it, report the violation. All kinds of magic stones can be found. Stones that have normal magic like fire, water, light, etc. and stones that hold very special kinds of magic, like darkness, fairy or even magic that may revive the dead (very rare, dead will most likely be brain damaged, or be zombies). Not every stone is as strong as others. The ¡®level¡¯ of a stone depends on several factors, like the density of energy inside it or the stones size. By using magic stones a being can strengthen their own magic or can even use low class magic that is contained in the magic stone. 6.) Humans can¡¯t evolve, which means that they don¡¯t have the spontaneous power advances that certain monsters possess. To make up for that they can grow higher in level and have so called ¡®jobs¡¯. Their level has no defined ending, they can grow indefinitely until they may one day reach a gods power. A normal citizen that has never fought or even trained has a level of about 5 to 10. A soldier that just finished his training has a level of about 25. A veteran fighter has a level of about 50 to 75. That¡¯s all for human standards, they need large numbers of these fighters to beat strong monsters. Then there are the non-soldier human fighters. Adventurers are normally stronger than most other humans. They possess levels ranging from 20 to over 200 (a level 200 wouldn¡¯t have any problems beating Tral). Then there are the so called ¡®heroes¡¯ or ¡®sages¡¯(heroes for fighter jobs and sage for mage jobs). That¡¯s what humans are called once they reach level 250. Most nations don¡¯t have more than 2 heroes and hiring one of the mercenary heroes costs about as much as a medium sized town. At level 600 humans reach Demi God level. These overpowered humans are often killed by gods who see their progress as a danger for themselves. A level 900 to 1000 human could be considered to be as strong as a living god (see in 7. What that is). The jobs level up with the humans. If a human for example possesses the job gardener, or tamer they need to do certain actions again and again to upgrade that jobs level. The higher a jobs level, the more are its uses and advantages (a job level 200 gardener could make a small forest grow with a clap of his hands and a level 250 gardener may be able to summon a horde of tree ents.) Btw Monsters can also learn certain job skills, like Tral learned how to tame. But they will need longer to level that skill up and have problems acquiring it in the first place. 7.) For pretty much anything you can imagine there are gods. A gods power cannot be measured in levels, so they give themselves titles like ¡®Minor human God of hatred¡¯. This god would be a minor god, meaning he is rather weak in the ranks of the gods, also the ¡®human¡¯ in his name stands for that he either once was a human or that he now sees himself as responsible for humans (see them as his ¡®sheep¡¯; there are also gods that don¡¯t have a race inside their title. This means that they either like all races or that they choose to not take the side of any race). The hatred part is obviously what kind of god he is. A god of Rage may bless people with the behavior to enrage fast, a god of lust may bless a slut, etc. A living god is what is called a being that has reached the powers of a god, while still living in the realm of the mortals (each god has his own ¡®realm¡¯ which is like his own little dimension). 8.) A god or a very mighty being (like a high level hero or a demi god level being) can bestow blessings or curses over a being. Blessings can have dozens of effects, from making the person slightly bigger to making them a very strong being, or even giving them huge advantages. Anything that is in the power of the being that bestowed the blessing can occur. But bestowing a blessing costs a being a great deal of power, which is why blessings are very rare, only bestowed to creatures that truly impress the bestower. Curses are not exactly the opposite of a blessing. They can indeed make a creature weaker or even destroy parts of their body, but they can also give the creature effects that can be seen as positive. For example if a god of light curses a creature, then there is the chance of several, rather dark, gods to take interest in that creature, meaning that the creature could gain several dark blessings. Also a curse can alter a creature¡¯s body or mind as much as it can be seen as an abomination, or for some as a messiah (fanatics that hate specific gods often see cursed ones as that). 9.) Many fanfictions have elements like titles that give certain stat bonuses. That¡¯s not the case here. In Re:Corruption the titles have only two uses: First, the being is known as that, people will respect someone with a strong sounding title, and make fun of someone with a title like ¡®coward¡¯. Second, certain titles give certain privileges, for example someone who has the title of a sage would be able to access whatever place he wants to for free. --------------------------------------------- Because I can¡¯t think of anything else to write into the info chapter this will be sufficient, for now. Well damn, I will have to push the next chapter like a week back to rewrite the first 4 to 5 chapters. I realized that my old writing style seriously is a pain to read. Oh btw, if anyone of you wants something explained, please post it here in the comments. I will consider then if it will be worth adding to my list. (Also if anything written here is confusing or feels wrong, please comment or msg me about that) Ah before I forget it. If anyone wants to include any of the races or places I make up for this ff in their own ff than that would not be a problem, but if you want to make like your own mc meet one of the mcs of my ff, please ask me first (I probably will not have anything against that though). Chapter 11: Traces Late chapter, I got occupied with RL and some ff that I really enjoyed, plus I was really lazy. Yeah that¡¯s my reason why I didn¡¯t write much. Well here you are at last. -------------------------------------------
Lost: Blessing of the Conqueror
So they now know what happened. I received that Blessing from the King, it had the condition included that, if I disappoint or bore him, it will be lost for me. That I lost it indicates that the news of my escape now reached the King. With this happened there will probably soon be patrols or adventurers coming after us here, maybe that Crixus will even send his monster gladiators after us. If any scouts find us I will not let them report anything. Enough of that for now, other things need to be settled first. We are in the middle of the forest right now, on our way to the cave I found. The trip takes longer than expected, we¡¯ve been moving for about 2 days now. The carriages need too long to move through the woods. But we almost reached it. Once we arrive I will form several squads to clear the cave from all the bats and whatever else lives in there, it will be great practice for them all and may even give them one or two levels. But first it¡¯s time to rest, and to think. The Blessing of the conqueror which I lost reminded me of something, it¡¯s just a faint memory from when I beat Tralgur, just before I lost consciousness. I got blessed¡ and cursed. There were a few windows that popped up, they varied.
Blessing of the Goddess of Darkness has been strengthened
Acquired: Blessing of the Demigod of Death
Acquired: Curse of the Humans God of Light
The Blessing that I received when I first evolved got strengthened, does that mean that whatever god bestowed it on me likes me even more?
The (strengthened) Blessing of the Goddess of Darkness is only bestowed upon individuals with the potential to fully become creatures of the dark. The Goddess herself choses those fortunate being. Whoever has this blessing will learn and master darkness magic and sneaking skills easier than normally. These chosen ones are often sold as slaves to fanatic groups when captured.
As far as I remember it looked the same when I first went through it, except for the ¡®strengthened¡¯, I guess it didn¡¯t change effects. Time to look through what else I got.
The Blessing of the Demigod of Death is only bestowed upon individuals that dealt with fear, hate, agony and death for all their life. The Demigod rarely choses Individuals for this blessing because his expectations are quite high. Whoever has this blessing will have it easier to deal with frustration and pain in the future, also they will have greater affinity to Death magic and slightly higher affinity for Blood magic. These chosen ones are often sold as slaves to fanatic groups when captured.
So I got this ¡®Blessing¡¯ because I went through more pain in my live, or my lives, than others. Probably the pain from having killed Tralgur got his attention. Fuck, this feels wrong.
You¡¯ve been cursed by the Humans God of Light. He commanded every single one of his followers to do anything in their might to erase your presence. Light and Holy magic will have bigger effects on you and healing magic will not work on you anymore. You have been abandoned by the light.
¡that was to be expected¡ I killed my own father, no good god would appreciate that. I¡¯m actually surprised that I only received one curse for that, maybe other gods, if other gods than these actually exist, don¡¯t really care or even know the circumstances behind it. That God¡¯s followers will come after me too, huh? I sure hope that they don¡¯t have any magic that purifies evil, because I¡¯m pretty sure that I can be considered evil enough for that to have massive effects on me. I will have to look out for that. Even though I was still in great shape, the others, especially the human (former) slaves that I freed, needed rest. I used the time to talk to a few of my comrades. First was the smith, we chatted a little and I found out his name was Falgar. We talked about many things, our backgrounds, he didn¡¯t believe how young I was, his blacksmith job and how we could use it and many more things. He told me that he was born in a village in a small Kingdom in the north and that he was enslaved when a Ravarian army (the country they are in is called Ravaria, as said in chapter 2), attacked them and killed his family. He then was used as a slave on construction and after his owner found out that he was a talented smith he was sold to Crixus. We all know the rest. He didn¡¯t want to talk much about his homeland and his family, so I didn¡¯t push him. After we exchanged our stories, we thought of ways to use him in our plan to kill the King. I promised him that I would get him sufficient equipment and work stations to craft basic and advanced equipment for us all. He told me that if I found some magic stones he could implant them into weapons or armor, making them even stronger. We talked for a few hours, and after promising him that I¡¯d find a few apprentices for him as help, we parted. If you spot this narrative on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation. Next in line was Tris. She wanted to talk to me for hours now and I finally had time. What she wanted was simple, I should teach her how to tame animals. She planned on taming all the Dioramas, that apparently were still following us, or rather following their alpha, which was the one I tamed already. It literally took hours. Tris understood what she had to do to tame one of them, but she was too impatient. She always tried to fast, instead of letting the animal do the important steps. After some time I told her to take her own Diorama to the herd, with it next to her the other animals started trusting her quick. When she managed to tame a few of them I took the alpha back, she now managed without him being there. After a few more hours she managed to tame all of the creatures and started distributing them among the Humans, because she feared that the orcs might want to eat them, and the Imps simply were too small to ride the big horses. That was around the time when I realized that Gur and Chiuco were not with the rest of our caravan. I asked everyone that could¡¯ve seen him, though no one knew where they had gone, only that he disappeared when we stopped to rest. I panicked a little. At first I saw them only as expendable paws, but now they are for me, I can¡¯t explain why I feel like that, like brothers. I need to find these troublemakers. Using a lot of my darkness energy I engulfed in an area of about 100 meters around us with it, every leaf, every tree, every bush, everything was covered by it. And I felt every movement and every structure beneath it. About 70 meters left of me lied something humanoid, it was hardly breathing and about the size of a small human. I immediately charged to whatever was lying there, preparing to find a mortal wounded Gur. What I found was not Gur, but a small human woman, one of the slaves I freed. She was unconscious. I carried her back onto a carriage and waited till she woke up. She had short red hair, a cute, young face and a weak, tender body. From what I can guess she is about 20 years old. She had a bruise on her forehead. After waiting for about one hour I told Tris to take care of her, and went to look for traces of Gur and Chiuco. Again I found nothing. So I waited. And waited. Hours later she woke up, it took me some time to calm her down, but when I managed to she calmly answered my questions. She saw Gur run off with Chiuco and tried to ask him where he was heading, when she ran behind him she accidently ran against a low hanging branch which she didn¡¯t see. She remembered the rough direction of where they were heading. The moment she stopped answering I was gone, on my way to find my brothers. I will never bury another brother. I swore that to myself back then. I ran, and I found what I was looking for. Traces. Dead animals where lying along the way they had gone, they had killed everything in their path. What I saw lied outside Gur¡¯s abilities, there were dead deer, rabbits, wild dogs, wolves and what surprised me the most was that I found two dead bears. They were both bigger than a small elephant. These two were probably Chiuco¡¯s doing. There was blood along the way where no animals lied dead, one of them was wounded. I ran for about an hour, when the forest became less dense, I reached its end. There stood right outside the forest, a small village. No, not small in the meaning of it having a low population, but literally small. The houses only reached a height of maybe one meter. The village was burning, high pitched blue flames reached into the sky. Screams came from everywhere within the village, I heard woman and children crying, and men screaming in pain. And I heard a roar like from a wild beast. As I entered there were corpses lying all around the small paths. The creatures that lived here were so called ¡®Hobbits¡¯, as my ability told me. They were all low level and none had any significant equipment. Most of their bodies were too burnt to determine how they looked. I found Gur and Chiuco in the middle of the village fighting a few stronger looking Hobbits, they were taller and fatter than the others. As I examined them, all of them were ¡®Gnomes¡¯, except for two, these two belonged to a race called ¡®Dwarf¡¯. The Dwarves looked like the Gnomes, only even small but stronger and fitter. They had the perfect bodies for a defense type unit. And that¡¯s what they were. Both wielded tower shields that were bigger than themselves. Gur was wounded all over his body, small cuts that didn¡¯t bleed too badly. His sword was shattered and he held the broken stump in his hand. Chiuco was in a better condition, his scales blocked most of the damage, but he also had a few bleeding wounds. Both of them looked very exhausted. ¡°YOU IDIOTS!¡±(Tral) As I screamed at them, they jumped and calmed down as they saw me, only to be scared again when they saw my angry face. ¡°YOU RUN OFF WITHOUT SAYING SHIT AND THEN GET YOURSELF INTO A SITUATION LIKE THIS?¡±(Tral) slowly walking towards them I killed several Gnomes with my darkness magic, to my surprise the Dwarves held themselves against it. ¡°AND THEN YOU GET YOUSELF IN TROUBLE WITH SOME LOWLY DWARVES?¡± (Tral) Both of them backed away the closer I came. ¡°Goddamnit you two.¡±(Tral) I said while taking out two healing potions I found when I looted the soldiers corpses. Before they could back up even more I jumped right in front of them and pushed the bottles into their hands. ¡°Drink that you idiots.¡±(Tral) And why the hell are the Dwarves screaming something now? And why are they screaming in my language, in Goblin language? ----------------------------------------- Before I forget to say it, my exams are coming up now¡ So well I guess I will not write much in the next weeks, but if I get some time for myself when I¡¯m not stressed then I will try to upload something. Chapter 12: This will take some time Finally got time to write a new chapter, but well only about half of my exams are over¡ for this part of the year¡ I guess there will not be that many chapters in the future, but I will try to get at least some small to medium sized chapters out once in a while (and because this is my last year there will be even harder exams coming up¡). First of all some explanation for chapter 11, I know that it was kinda confusing why a Human god curses a monster. The explanation is quite simple, first of all Tral is a former human, second he was property of humans. Yeah that¡¯s quite why that he counted as a ¡®subject¡¯ of that god before. ----------------------------------------------------------- They screamed something in my language, I could not understand much due to them speaking in a heavy dialect. All I understood were a few words. Something along the line of ¡®Get here¡¯, ¡®Fast¡¯ and ¡®Kill them¡¯. These dwarfs are planning something to take us down. And I want to see what that is. I held Gur who already wanted to charge into our enemies again back and ordered him and Chiuco to wait. As my darkness magic formed around me and my weapon as shield and enhancement I walked towards the dwarfs, both of them panicked and backed up, creating more distance between us. When I was only a few meters away from the dwarfs one jumped towards me. With a mad grin he pulled a dagger and cut his own arm, as the blood dripped on the floor I realized what he wanted to do, but I was too late. The ground beneath me started shaking, too precise for an earthquake, and too strong. A huge head shoved itself out of the ground, followed by a body at least thrice the size of me. Its body was entirely covered by stone, its eyes glowing rubies.

I can see his level, that means he is not too much stronger than myself. He suddenly grabbed the Dwarf that cut himself with his giant stone hand. The Dwarf started screaming in pain, but didn¡¯t resist too much. ¡°What did you fools wake me up for now? I told you already not to bother me. Now give me a good explanation before I lose my temper.¡±(Hogog) ¡°Th-These monsters there attacked us, they slaughtered so many of the Hobbits and Gnomes¡ They¡ They killed Martha¡± (Dwarf) He started crying and the Golem, whose face showed nothing but pure anger let him down. His eyes looked over the burning village, the corpses and the crippled fighters. ¡°My¡ My family¡ I shouldn¡¯t have abandoned you¡¡± (Hogog) With an expressionless and cold look he stared at me. ¡°That is your doing?¡±(Hogog) Gur and Chiuco these idiots, getting me into a situation like this. ¡°My companions did that, if you want to have your revenge you will have to fight the three of us.¡± (Tral) I could swear that I saw a sad glance in his eyes, only for a moment. ¡°Brothers slaughtering brothers, what has this world become? You and I are not too different, yet I will have to crush you here. Say your prayers.¡± (Hogog) I had no time to think at all, he simply hit his fists into the ground, his strength was big enough to cause a small earthquake. I lost my footing and in a matter of seconds he was over me, ready to smash his fists again, this time into me. That was when Chiuco rushed to my site, he used his fire breathing ability and breathed flames directly into the Golems face. ¡°A dragon¡¯s heat does smelt even stone with no problems, but your heat is not even close to smelting me!¡± (Hogog) What he did not expect was Gur, who apparently pillaged one of the Dwarfs smithies. With a huge two handed axe he ran towards Hogog¡¯s left hand which was placed on the ground. He swung his axe towards the Golem¡¯s hand, rendering it useless. As a result Hogog¡¯s left hand got almost completely destroyed, the axe shattered in the process but managed to cut of 4 of the Golems 6 fingers. He screamed in pain and I used the moment of distraction to shoot a small ball of concentrated darkness energy into his mouth, there I let it expand, expand until it covered all his insides, his intestines, his blood vessels, his heart. There I ordered my magic to harden, just as I did when I captured the soldier leader a few days ago. On the outside the Golem was made out of stone and rubble, but on the inside he was still a living being with blood, organs and flesh. In a matter of minutes his organs stopped working and his heart beat slowed down. Exhausted as I was I was lying down next to the dying Golem, I decided to use his last moments for my own good. ¡°Why do you speak my language?¡± (Tral) ¡°Kid, you *cough* really don¡¯t know anything do you?¡± (Hogog) He started coughing up blood, his life would end soon. ¡°We Dwarfs and you Goblins are brothers, destined to live as one race. Dwarfs as the tinkerers and builders, Goblins as the fighters and explorers.*cough*¡± (Hogog) ¡°What are you talking about? Clearly we and you are nothing alike.¡± (Tral) ¡°Hmph, if you don¡¯t believe me see it for yourself! You and your comrades killed my family, my friends and my entire village, but I beg you, don¡¯t let our children, our future, die!¡± (Hogog) This book''s true home is on another platform. Check it out there for the real experience. With these words he used some of his earth magic to shift the ground, resulting in a house sized stone cube coming to the surface. ¡°Inside that are Brownlings, little creatures that are our races origin. When a Brownling matures it can either evolve into a Hobbit or a Goblin, based upon its characteristics and behavior.¡±(Hogog) ¡°Yeah, yeah great, so you¡¯re telling me that these creatures in there can evolve into a Goblin, then how come that I never was a Brownling myself? I was born a Goblin. Also I didn¡¯t see any Goblins around here. Start speaking clear now or I might decide to seek some more Dwarf villages to plunder!¡±(Tral) ¡°It¡¯s natural that you won¡¯t believe me*cough*. A few minutes east you will find a small Goblin cave. Ask them there, they will tell you that I am not deceiving you. Every single Goblin there was born a Brownling.¡± (Hogog) These were his last words, as he coughed more blood up and I watched him lose his life. I released my magic from within his body and watched how he slowly emerged back into the earth, becoming one with it. I will find out whether or not he said the truth, it does not matter anyway. These ¡®Brownlings¡¯ in there will be a great addition to my fighting force. So my next goal is to find that Goblin cave, I want to know if the old Golem said the truth and also I¡¯d like to try to recruit some of the Goblins or higher evolutions there. Wait, where is east anyway? I don¡¯t have anything like a compass¡ The solution was easier than I thought. All I did was ¡®ask¡¯ some of the remaining Gnomes and Dwarfs¡ politely¡ where I had to go. I left the village behind me, only a few Hobbits, Gnomes and some beaten up Dwarfs, beaten up during my polite asking where east was, were left. After all I don¡¯t want to eradicate whatever I cross, and they did quickly answer my question. But first are the Brownlings. I forcefully opened the stone cube, just to find about 20 little, brown babies in them. They all looked like tiny, ugly humans with small claws. One of them had horns and a tail like a demon. Upon observation I found out that he was a so called ¡®Demonling¡¯, probably a rare variant of the Brownlings. All in all he was slightly bigger than the others and looked, except for the horns and the tail, similar to them. As a punishment for their rash decision to walk around killing things I had Gur and Chiuco carry all the Brownlings, who didn¡¯t even wake up when they picked them up. The way back was uneventful, although tiring. We had to move slowly because every time we tried to progress faster either Chiuco or Gur accidently let some of the Brownlings fall down. I really don¡¯t need any mentally disabled Hobbits or Goblins, so we had to move slowly. Also I made a mental note to take Tris to the plains that stretched behind the Dwarf village, maybe we will be able to tame some domestic animals, maybe even some other sort of familiars we can use as cavalry. As we arrived everything was quiet, everyone already fell asleep. With the exception of Falgar, the smith. He was sitting on the ground in a praying stance, his both hands folded together in front of his chin and his head slightly bend towards the ground, his eyes closed.
Skill: Meditation learned
As he was in deep concentration he didn¡¯t react when we arrived, but for a moment I saw a small smirk on his face. I placed the bag with materials which I took with me from the Dwarfen village. It was located in some kind of treasure room that I found underground using the little earth magic that I can naturally use due to Trolls having a little earth magic affinity. The treasure room was filled with all kinds of ingots, ores, coins, gems, weapons and I even found some blue prints which mostly regarded the construction of different kinds of forges. I guess that was to be expected from a Dwarfen village. How I transported all that? Well for me the metals, stones and so on weren¡¯t the most valuable items in the treasury, it was that single bag. I wanted one of these since the day that bastard King send his presents to me. Yes, it was one of these magically enhanced storage items that could store items much larger than itself. If I could only figure out how to create these myself. Hmm, its night already. Time to take my silent watch post on top of the trees again. Today was a busy day, I found a new sentient race, killed a Golem twice my size and gained future addition to my little private army. I wonder how many levels that brought me, I probably am close to the next evolution.

This morning I was level 9¡ this is going to take some time. --------------------------------------- I¡¯ll be adding some info on how exactly Tral¡¯s ability to copy skills and so on works in the info chapter, check in like tomorrow, I¡¯m pretty sure I¡¯ll have it up by then. (temporary) cancel Please do me the favor and don¡¯t close the tab after you read the first few sentences. Hello you all. Thanks again for reading this story, but I have to tell you, that I will cancel it, hopefully only temporarily. The reasons why there haven¡¯t been any updates for so long now are quite simple. First my exams, they took a lot of time to learn. Second, bullshit happened. After my exams I wanted to write a really long chapter, was about halfway done and then my pc crashed. Yup, hard drive broken. I was so fucking pissed that day. Third reason is that the next day when I drove to my friend¡¯s, from whom I bought his old hard drive, guess what happened? Shit happened. A retard texting while driving happened. He was lucky and got out almost unhurt, but I wasn¡¯t that lucky. Well I¡¯m good now so it¡¯s all fine, just after all that time of not even thinking about Re: Corruption I really lost my motivation to continue it. I will not say sorry for stopping here, I have my reasons and it is my decision. And like I said I might continue one day. Anyway, because of pure boredom I read A LOT of fictions here on RR, and I decided to make a small list with my favorites, there is also a small description next to each one. Here are my top four (I couldn¡¯t decide for only 3): First of all, IMO the most beautiful piece of art on this website, Re: Hamster http://royalroadl.com/fiction/3063 Gangster, Demon lord, Hamster, Pimp. Do I have to say more? Read it. I freaking love this fiction, it is so well done, funny, has an really good, although ridiculous (which fits quite well) storyline. Second is a really well done VR story that has quite some characteristics that are not often seen in these kinds of fictions: Anti-Hero: Journey of Fear http://royalroadl.com/fiction/4244 A story full of gore, blood and murder. A story written really well. Just read it already! The next one has momentarily only 7 chapters (and a prologue) and is therefore quite short. Nonetheless it is written better than anything I have seen before. The author is truly a master at writing. Of Monsters & Men http://royalroadl.com/fiction/4023 Read it, everything I would say about it would be a spoiler so just read it goddamnit! When I started reading this I went through in one clean swoop, it was just so awesome that I couldn¡¯t keep my eyes of it. Immortal¡¯s Lament http://royalroadl.com/fiction/3851 Same as with Of Monsters & Men, I do not want to spoil a single detail. I can only say this to you: Its freaking awesome, nough said. Okay, these were my top four, but they were not the only fictions I read and loved. So here are some more awesomely done fictions: Mystery of the Dungeon http://royalroadl.com/fiction/2619 extremely well done Dungeon fiction, IMO the best dungeon fiction that is out there. Definitely worth a try. Find this and other great novels on the author''s preferred platform. Support original creators! Beyond? http://royalroadl.com/fiction/2850 and Until death? http://royalroadl.com/fiction/629 made by the same author. Reincarnation as ??? http://royalroadl.com/fiction/3837 starts weird but I have to say it¡¯s really well done and you should read is. Yes, click on that link and start reading. Micro-Management: Survival Base http://royalroadl.com/fiction/3821 although very short right now I really like the writing style and the authors ideas. The Journey of a Slime Researcher http://royalroadl.com/fiction/3400 sadly no recent updates but it¡¯s really worth a read. The Slime Dungeon http://royalroadl.com/fiction/3978 Very well done Dungeon fiction. Apocalypse Now http://royalroadl.com/fiction/3753 sometimes there are slight logic or grammar mistakes but I really like this fiction and look forward for every release. Cheating Monster: The mightiest tadpole. http://royalroadl.com/fiction/3056 I had so many laughs with this great fiction 100 Luck and the Dragon Tamer Skill! http://royalroadl.com/fiction/3667 I can only tell you to read this great fiction, it made me laugh so many times and I really want to read the next chapters. Dungeon Games http://royalroadl.com/fiction/3654 If I have switched up some links please tell me in the comments. Okay cause I was really goddamn bored I read every of these fictions above completely, yes I read several hundred of chapters in that time. Well I did have a lot of free time while I couldn¡¯t really move. Anyway I¡¯m rather sure that there were some more fictions that are worth reading, but I can¡¯t really remember which I am forgetting right now, if I remember them I will add them. Funny thing is that due to literally having all day free time without being able to play good games (had only a shitty laptop and a tablet) I also read through several awesome Manga, but I think this post is already full enough so I won¡¯t add them as recommendations (also I don¡¯t know if I¡¯m allowed to add links from other websites). If any of these fictions take your liking I wish you a lot of fun with them. Before I finish this, one last thing. I will prolly not stop writing, I simply do not have any motivation to continue Re: Corruption for now, but I already have some other ideas to write down. Always remember, you are all beautiful.
