《The Summoned Prince》 Volume 1-0: Prologue :A teenage hobo Author''s Note: One of three stories I''ve started. As always reviews, ratings,Recommendations,Corrections,Questions and comments are greatly appreciated
Prologue : A teenage Hobo
A hooded figure carrying a backpack ¡ªwhose face was hidden by long , unkempt, wavy blonde hair ¡ªwas running through the slums of the city. His green eyes looked towards his Casio wristwatch on his left arm. The watch was the only valuable item he had after spending his funds, he had bought it as a gift for his own birthday. It was well worth the money as it had a built in thermometer and compass while also being waterproof. I¡¯m going to be late! In order to avoid such a situation he decided to take a shortcut through the back alleys. He ran towards a fence and hopped over it and nimbly landed on the empty plot of land on the other side. He stopped. ¡°Oh it¡¯s that pretty boy!¡± said a man who seemed like a common gang-member These guys huh He sighed and rubbed his right bruised eye, recalling that it was this group of delinquents who had caused his injury. If not for his drunk of a father intervening he would have come out a lot worse. ¡°H-Hey guys¡...um I need to go to school, so if you could just.¡± ¡°Ahahahahahahaha!¡± laughed a goon holding a bat. ¡°Where¡¯s your old-man kid?¡± asked a man with a scrawny body who seemed like a crackhead. 8 men began to encircle him. The young teen looked around at his situation with an awkward smile and noticed a Rusted Steel pipe on the ground. Using his foot he kicked the pipe up and grabbed it with his right hand and took a stance that his father had engraved into him. He remembered the only times when his father wasn¡¯t drunk was when he was teaching him swordsmanship. Since the age of six he spent most of his days training under his father¡¯s tutelage. Why he had to learn swordsmanship in the modern era baffled him but his father was an absolute authority. It was a year ago at the age of 15 when his father had told him that he had taught him everything he knew. A useless skill but it kept his body fit so he kept training diligently and he was able to deal with most people. Still it was hard not to get injured when you had multiple enemies. Yesterday it had been a group double the size than the current one around him. He assumed the others were still in the hospital. The ones in front of him had gotten off with lighter injuries it seemed. The blond teenager sighed again¡± I don¡¯t have time for this.¡± As soon as he had finished his sentence he had moved forward and swung the pipe like a golf club hitting the closest gang-banger on the chin leaving the goon concussed. Using this as a distraction he moved forward and like a ballerina dancer on the stage he weaved his way through his enemies until he heard a large bang. Near the Gate fence of the empty lot stood a man holding a small caliber handgun. The man smiled and said¡± Don¡¯t fucking move you little shit.¡± while aiming the gun at the teen. The teen was fast if not the fastest in his entire school but dodging a bullet was not something he was confident of succeeding in. He put his arms up in surrender and started thinking of a way to escape his predicament. He slowly turned to face the man with the gun. ¡°Hey guys, I am sorry about what happened yesterday but let¡¯s not get carried away yeah?¡± The man smirked and was then suddenly tackled by a dark shadow. The man dropped his gun and struggled with the tackler and finally grabbed a short black teen¡¯s dreadlocks and pulled his head back. The black teen grunted. ¡°Nikey!¡± screamed the hooded teen. while moving towards to help but before he could do anything the thug with a gun was suddenly punched by a seven foot giant of a man with a slight hunch. He stood there awkwardly with both his feet pointed towards each other. If you discover this tale on Amazon, be aware that it has been stolen. Please report the violation. The black teen sighed and said¡± thanks Uli you saved my ass.¡± to the large man. The hooded teen took off his hood and approached the duo. ¡°Thanks for the help guys but we should.¡± he turned towards the thugs ¡° um yeah we should go. Like now!¡± The three of them ran away from the group of delinquents. It took them a couple minutes to ditch the thugs and they stopped to catch their breaths. ¡°You owe us own Elden.¡± said Nikey as he smiled. ¡°Yeah, It¡¯s been awhile guys. I¡¯ll buy you a coke or something one of these days.¡± Nikey and Ulises had been his friend from the neighborhood. They were classmates in elementary and middle school until Elden decided to attend a better school farther from the slums. ¡°We¡¯d be honored , your majesty,¡± Nikey said while an exaggerated bow. Elden frowned. They always teased him like that. Calling him a prince or your majesty simply because he was good-looking for a kid from the slums. The girls in school had coined the term for him due to his green eyes, long blonde hair and Handsome face. The name had stuck even if he hated it. ¡° Fuck dude, we¡¯re in High school already. Please stop it with that.¡± Nikey shrugged and smiled. ¡°You know Elden we could hang out later.¡± Elden looked at his wrist watch ¡°Oh shit! I¡¯m gonna be late. Sorry I gotta go guys.¡± Elden ran waved goodbye while his friends stood there remembering old times. He made it to class a minute before the bell rang. As he entered the classroom his eyes met with a youth with short cropped black hair. Isaac is here today huh. What a pain. Isaac was the local school bully. Rumors said he was the son of some big gangster and Elden thought it was highly probable that those thugs were sent by Isaac to punish him. Elden wasn¡¯t one to start fights but if pushed he¡¯d push back. This attitude caused him to be at odds with Isaac since freshmen year. Taking a seat at his desk Elden turned to his desk neighbor. ¡° Hey Mike.¡± His desk mate turn away from the hand-held console he was playing. ¡°Yo~ Eld.¡± Michael had a big head with short dirty blonde hair. His face littered with blemishes and acne scars. His clothes were too big on him and were unfashionable and even his shoes were screaming loser. No matter how you saw it he wasn¡¯t ¡°cool¡± but Michael was Elden¡¯s first friend in high school. The reason Isaac hated Elden was because Elden had protected Michael from bullying. All it took was a few punches for the bullies to back-off but because of this Elden was avoided by his classmates for being friends with the loser Michael. Still Elden valued his first friend. Thanks to Michael he was introduced to a world of videogames and movies and anime and manga not to mention Elden sometimes borrowed Michael¡¯s bathroom to take a shower. ¡° a bit late no?¡± said a short brown indian youth with thick eyebrows. ¡°Hey Ganesh and well I had a bump on the road.¡± It was a curious sight. Elden was tall, blonde and handsome. A natural popular teen who belonged to a different crowd. Yet he sat next to the uncool kids and even laughed occasionally. A pity thought some of the girls and guys. Some thinking Elden was just really nice. Although their group was loud ,the loudest was the ¡®cool¡¯ crowd sitting at the back. Leading the conversation was Paul. Athletic and good looking he was the exact image of a model from A¨¦ropostale. ¡°Alright settle down class!¡± Said Mr.Olsen their Homeroom teacher. He seemed just about ready to retire at the age of 50. The class chatter dialed down. ¡°I have a couple of announcements. Today you¡¯ll¡¡± ¡°Be summoned to save our world!¡± and a flash of light blinded everyone after hearing those last words. Volume 1-1:Wheres my Loli-archmage? Author''s Note: Don''t expect me to follow my schedule lel. Also You guys can help me with something. Basically I need classmates. Basically just give someone a name /gender/looks/personality /looks etc. Leave it in the comments and you''re characters might make it in probably. P.S Making tables is a bitch As always reviews, ratings,Recommendations,Corrections,Questions and comments are greatly appreciated ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Chapter 1: Where''s my Loli-archmage? ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- It was a queer feeling when he opened his eyes. His eyes were flooded with new images. New faces and a scenery that could only be found in movies or television shows. A thunderous cheer entered his ears before Elden could figure out what was going on. ¡°Heroes!¡± ¡°Thank the Gods!¡± The crowd was filled with many people giving thanks and some were at the point of crying. His classmates and himself were standing on elevated stone platform in the middle of a european town square. Elden had never been to europe but the scene matched the pictures of old european towns. He¡¯d never been on an airplane but assumed that what he was feeling was something akin to jet lag. His body felt strange. He stretched and felt vigorous and energetic. His body adjusting to a different atmosphere. ¡°What¡¯s going on!?¡± ¡°I¡¯m tripping bad dawg.¡± The class began to get rowdy and a tired looking man stepped forward. His hair had streaks of gray hair making him appear older. A simple crown laid upon his head. No matter how you saw it,this person was a King. ¡°You all must be confused. please follow us.¡± Us? At that time the class noticed three other people next to himself.Standing next to him was a lady who seemed older than the crowned man but her true age could not be discerned due to the highly powder face. Her expression was tight as if she had tasted something bitter. Next to them two girls who looked similar to each other. Elden assumed them to be daughters of the previous pair. They were without a doubt beautiful blondes but were approximately 4 years apart. The eldest one was about the same age as Elden but she still had a buxom figure. The younger girl seemed at the middle school level but was cute nonetheless. Some people started to complain but at the time the eldest daughther stepped forward. ¡°Everyone please calm yourselves. Everything will be explained later.¡± Her words calmed them all down immediately. Elden even had a thought that if she were to ask him to kill himself, If it was for her then he¡¯d do it. wait what? that¡¯s stupid Something was strange. Her words were oddly intoxicating. Elden looked around and noticed everyone including the girls were entranced by this beauty. He couldn¡¯t deny she was a beauty but not on the level where she was to be worshipped. A group of knight¡¯s surrounded the students and started leading the students like cattle. They all followed the family that had a regal presence.Although many questions ran throughout their minds they continued to follow them through the medieval looking town until reaching the gates of a castle. Similar to the castles of old yet entirely different. It¡¯s stone walls over two-stories high.It stuck out and seemed cramped in to the city. ¡°Wow!¡± said one of the classmates as the gates were raised and they stepped in. They all nodded and agreed to that single remark. No other word came to mind other than wow in this situation. Rather than a castle it seemed more appropriate to call it a palace. Elden remembered his history lessons from school. A castle was a fortified building designed to withstand enemy attacks. This palace had no other defenses other than the two story stone wall surrounding the complex. Elden followed along with his classmates and reached the King¡¯s court. as expected it¡¯s magnificent The court room was adorned by high calibre furniture and with tapestry rich and vibrant with color. The king and and assumed Queen each sat down on awe-inspiring thrones laced with gold while the two daughters stood up besides them. Michael then turned to him. ¡°This isn¡¯t right Eld!¡± As I thought I¡¯m not the only one thinking something is wrong about the situation. A case of theft: this story is not rightfully on Amazon; if you spot it, report the violation. ¡°You noticed it too huh?¡± replied Elden ¡°That¡¯s right. We weren¡¯t summoned by a Loli-archmage!¡± ¡°.............¡± Elden face-palmed himself and sighed. ¡° Instead we were summoned by regular magicians wearing boring robes. I only see one princess loli but where¡¯s MY loli-arch mage?¡± ¡°Hey Mike shut up for a bit.¡± He told Michael as he saw that the king had begun to speak. ¡°It¡¯s not like it¡¯s anything important Eld Since the setting should be the same¡± muttered Michael Just as Michael had said what the king had said was similar if not a carbon-copy speech of other stories. To summarize the existance known as the Demon Lord that wanted to enslave humanity and to fight this foe they used forbidden magic to summon heroes to fight. After his speech and introduction King Erenstis called over and led them to another room with a large stone in the middle of the room. They were then instructed to prick their finger with the needle provided and drop some blood on to the stone one person at a time. Status stones weren¡¯t available to the common folk. Paul was the first to volunteer

Still what¡¯s up with that? I mean Exiled from my own classroom? I am the only heir to my father''s swordsmanship so that makes sense and I guess hobo isn¡¯t that far off. He didn¡¯t want people to know about his swordsmanship but at this point nobody was really looking at the status stone. In fact there were two knights. One would observe and tell the information to another who would write it down onto a parchment. Elden turned to look at the knight who was simply the other one what to write and put a finger to his lip. The knight had no expression on his face. ¡°OI Ernerd! any special skills?¡± The Knight Ernerd turned to his fellow knight. ¡°No he¡¯s like most of the others. Nothing special.¡± Next up was Michael¡¯s turn and Elden peeked at Michael¡¯s status plate

Master Vader? Volume 1-2: Honeyed words Author''s Note: I''m not writing BL nor is this a gender bender. Also small note I forgot to include but the teacher wasn''t summoned only the students~Also some stuff came up so I won''t be releasing any chapters for my 2 other stories and released this one a day earlier As always reviews, ratings,Recommendations,Corrections,Questions and comments are greatly appreciated -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Chapter 2: Honeyed words ¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª Afterwards the class was escorted by maids to their own respective rooms. They were to get ready to attend a banquet in the afternoon. Each person was accompanied by two Maids whose looks were on par with Models from their old worlds. The room Elden was given was rather large compared to the home he had spent his entire life in. Each room had its own bathroom or atleast this world¡¯s equivalent as it was simply a room with a chamber pot. The rooms were similar to high classes Hotels each with it¡¯s own queen sized bed. The maids were carrying buckets of hot water with them which they poured into a tub inside the bathroom. They then started to undress him and scrubbed him before he was instructed to enter the tub. He was then scrubbed in the tub and his long hair was cleaned and brushed. Elden was blushing but managed to endure embarrassment as the maids themselves acted maturely making Elden feel like he was the weird one for thinking of odd things. Ah when was the last time I took a bath? He relaxed in the bath as he was gently scrubbed from top to bottom. He covered his privates with both his hands until the maid told him to put them up so that they could scrub his armpits. Elden hesitated and looked at the maid. Her face looked completely serious and he reluctantly put up his arms. The second maid who had been scrubbing his feet started moving up to his thighs and continued moving closer to his pelvis. Elden had a reaction like any normal teen his age would have in such a situation. ¡°Ah um I¡¯m clean now thank you!¡± he said while stepping out of the bath while hiding himself. He moved towards the exit of the bathroom. ¡°Stop! your hair still needs to be brushed!¡± Elden had never bothered to brush his hair. It was wavy and reached up to his stomach. His eyes were accustomed to having to look through the small gaps in his hair. He reluctantly stopped and allowed them to continue their jobs. ____________________________________________________________________________ Michael stood in the waiting room along with others who were ready and dressed in formal clothes from some period drama. His skin had been scrubbed raw by two abrasive maids. He was one of the first to be ready and wondered why the maids had been so quick in dressing him. After a while one of his few friends Ganesh came in. Ganesh was the person with the highest GPA in the class and grade. His reasoning was something like ¡± I don¡¯t want to work with my cousin at an AT&T call center.¡± ¡°Those maids were unexpectedly rough huh?¡± Ganesh raised an eyebrow.¡± I thought they were rather professional.¡± The both of them continued to discuss mundane things until some commotion was made. Paul entered the waiting room dressed with clothes much more fancier than any of the boys was wearing. ¡°you look good.¡± said a girl from his usual clique. ¡°as expected I look good in anything. after all I¡¯m paul.¡± most of the class scowled while his usual clique laughed. This scene continued for a few minutes until everyone was present. The chatter began to die down and at that time. ¡°Hmm where¡¯s Elden?¡± asked Michael Everyone had managed to hear Michael¡®s question and thought the same as the door was opened and in came a tall blonde beautiful girl with green eyes with long brushed hair that reached to her waist and was tied with a large red bow. The strange thing was she was wearing clothes for men and the even stranger thing was. ¡°What?¡± asked the girl in a voice belonging to a young man entering adulthood. huh? She sounds like a guy? As they continued to observe her they noticed she had a slight adam¡¯s apple. She walked over to Michael and Ganesh. She sighed.¡± The maids shaved my moustache guys.¡± ¡°Wa..What?¡± asked Michael surprised. She looked down depressingly.¡± I mean I know it wasn¡¯t much and you had to squint to see it but it was my moustache man.¡± Support the creativity of authors by visiting the original site for this novel and more. ¡°Elden!?¡± Ganesh and Michael raised their voices in unison and so had some other classmates. ¡°That¡¯s my name don¡¯t wear it out.¡± Elden¡¯s face had always been obscured. Only people from his middle school and earlier knew about his delicate face. Michael had seen Elden¡¯s face when they were hanging out at his house but at that time his face looked entirely different as Elden had whiskers which he called a moustache. ¡°He looks so different.¡± ¡°He looks gay.¡± ¡°Bitch! He look fabulous.¡± The class began to comment when a different door was opened and in came in a butler. ¡°Everyone if you¡¯d please step into the room and sit down.¡± One by one they enter into a room with a long fancy table. above the long table was three chandeliers each separated by the same distance. The king and his family were already seated at their own table which stood on a platform above the long table. That made the class uncomfortable. Americans have a slight aversion to class distinction and teenagers had an even bigger quarrel with authority but they kept silent. When in rome, do as the romans do. And so they sat. The eldest princess¡¯s eyes roamed the students looking for Paul who had been the only outstanding individual out of the group but instead her eyes landed on a beautiful girl and her heart started to race. Is she more beautiful than me? When the Heroes had first been summoned she had found the prettiest girl and confirmed that she was still in fact the fairest of them all but this girl¡.Looking closely she observed the¡±Girl¡± was wearing man¡¯s clothes. Tall and with hair tied with a large bow that went down to the waist. ¡°Her¡± shoulders were rather wide. ¡° Oh he looks better with his hair tied back.¡± said her little sister next to her. ¡°He?¡± she asked ¡°Hmm. Oh yeah it¡¯s the guy with the messy and unbrushed hair. I wasn¡¯t expecting him to be handsome though.¡± Yletta turned to her little sister Christina with her eyes popping outwards. She had planned on making Paul fall in love with her. As the eldest princess she had many suitors but none she could truly manipulate and Paul seemed gullible and most likely the strongest of them all. He was a natural leader and she would be there to pull the strings but this young man tugged at her heart. She was conflicted throughout dinner until she finally arrived at a conclusion. I could make him my paramour! It was certainly strange that some women had men besides their husbands but it wasn¡¯t outright illegal. they would have to elope in secret. The mere thought made her excited beyond control. Her younger sister christina looked at her with a face that said¡± Dafuq?¡± Edin felt a dangerous gaze. Intuitively he felt it was a gaze of a predator. Yletta quickly regained her composure. ¡°I thank you all for helping us.¡± began to speak the King ¡° I¡¯m sorry but this is nothing more than a kidnapping. Please do send us back. The children here are all minors.¡± interrupted Ganesh. ¡°Forgive us but that request is impossible.¡± answered the King. ¡°Are you saying this was a one way trip? We all have lives back home and We¡¯d love to go back home.¡± ¡° I don¡¯t think the rest of you agree.¡± Elden looked around at the excited faces of his classmates. Most were ecstatic like they were on some grand adventure . Ganesh sat back down bewildered. One of the girls abruptly stood up. ¡°This is wrong!¡± The king¡¯s eyes met with his eldest daughter. ¡°Please calm yourselves and continue to enjoy the food.¡± her words affected not only the girl but everyone else. They began to feel their anger dissipate. Her voice also made them feel more courageous and energetic. ¡°Well then let the celebration continue!¡± Ganesh had sat down close to Michael and Elden near the far end of the table. ¡°I can¡¯t believe this.¡± said Ganesh ¡°I don¡¯t like it either.¡± agreed Elden. Elden was also one of the top scorers in his class. He wanted to desperately escape poverty so he had been aiming for a scholarship. ¡°Oh well, Nothing we can do.¡± said Michael happily. ¡°But it was weird right? When she started to talk I felt myself being soothed.¡± questioned Elden. ¡°Indeed.¡± ¡°Magic?¡± ¡°Most likely but there''s not much we can do.¡± ¡°For now we keep our eyes and ears open.¡± Volume 1-3: Goblins Author''s Note: I decided to throw out the schedule. AHAHAHAHAHAHA ANARCHY!ANARCHY! so expect at least 1 chapter every week but the days may change. Also if you spot any errors due help me out. I don''t proofread he-he although I should As always reviews, ratings,Recommendations,Corrections,Questions and comments are greatly appreciated ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Chapter 3: Goblins ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- For the next month they were taught by the Head knight of His Majesty¡¯s knights. At first everything went smooth fully but their treatment began to change. Their food was now the same as the local soldiers. Broth and hard bread. They were taught as soldiers rather than heroes. They were exhausted and started to complain and whenever they did they were visited by Yletta whose words completely calmed them down and so the process continued. They trained till exhaustion, complained and began to protest and Yletta would show up and calmed them down easily. Elden raised the shield he held in his left hand to block paul¡¯s strike. Away from them stood the Head knight and Yletta. ¡°Father wants to know who¡¯s the strongest in swordplay.¡± said Yletta. Markus?¡ªThe Head Knight¡ª looked towards Paul and Elden who were sparring. ¡°If I had to choose it might be paul. His power and speed is better than most Knights¡± Yletta seemed unsurprised. ¡°But Elden seems to have much more talent. Even though he has inferior physical capabilities he¡¯s able to go toe to toe with Paul with pure instinct.¡± Yletta seemed surprised and stared at Elden. Paul¡¯s training sword came in contact with Elden¡¯s shield. In truth Elden could use his father¡¯s swordsmanship and defeat Paul easily but he chose to learn the knight¡¯s sword arts first and relied only on that. Knight¡¯s relied more on brute power and it seemed almost barbaric compared to his father¡¯s swordsmanship The second reason was Elden didn¡¯t want to show all his cards just yet. He was humble and not one to brag. Elden dodged to the left and spun around aiming the sword at Paul¡¯s helm. Naturally Elden was not capable of wearing a helm due to his long hair. The red bow from the party was still tied to his hair. It seemed the maids took care of his hair everyday with great joy and even took turns in brushing. Paul jumped back in the nick of time. Elden moved back for and prepared for another flurry of attacks. All the males of the class had been issued armor that was made from some type of material that was nearly indestructable. The Heavy armor though restricted Elden¡¯s movements but it helped to build his endurance so it was no different than weight training for Elden. Paul seemed pissed that he had to be on the defensive and so he lunged forward his counterattack. Elden had predicted this as Paul¡¯s character wasn¡¯t one to be on the receiving end. Usually elden would have easily dodged all attacks and strike down his enemy with a single strike but the Knight¡¯s sword play was different and so he met everyone of Paul¡¯s attacks. It turned into a contest of strength. Paul was a daily weight lifter at the gym so his attacks were powerful. They traded blow for blow. Elden then used another skill related to knights. Shield bash! Paul blocked with his sword rather than his shield. He tended to rely more on his sword than his shield. Elden was going to learn all he could and make it his and so he used the new techniques that were taught by the knights. Paul fell on his back and the knight that was referring ended the match. With this Markus?¡¯s evaluation of the students was complete. His task was to choose who among these children would receive the royal treasures that the king kept. Of Course everyone would be receiving the best armor and equipment but only a select few would be receiving enchanted items. Markus? turned to some commotion on the training yard. A black girl was holding a training sword while arguing with a guard. He walked over. ¡°What¡¯s the problem here?¡± The guard turned to the knight Captain¡± Sir she keeps insisting on practising with a sword.¡± Like the Kingdoms of old gender disparity was something that could be seen everywhere and the kingdom of Kovolava was no different and had separated the class by genders. The men were given knight training while the women were made to learn chants and magic. ¡°I¡¯m sorry little miss but please go back to learning chants.¡± ¡°Why!?¡± ¡°Well you see it¡¯s against our traditions to have female knights.¡± ¡°That¡¯s a stupid tradition aren¡¯t we risking our lives to help you guys.¡± As Yletta noticed the commotion she went forward with the gazes of all the boys who were training followed her. One of the girls from the class pulled the black girl ¡°Keisha, Let¡¯s just go back.¡± ¡°No! it¡¯s stupid!¡± ¡°Everyone please calm down. what seems to be the problem?¡± called out Yletta Her soothing words affected not only the knights but also the surrounding students While elden put his fingers in his ears. ¡°Hmm let¡¯s see if it works.¡± he murmured ¡°I won¡¯t calm down!¡± screamed keisha. Elden frowned he could still somewhat hear her. It seemed he¡¯d need something truly soundproof in his ears. he felt her words tug at him. He reached towards his neck towards the ring he always wore. The only other valuable besides his watch was a ring that had belonged to his mother. It was too elegant to wear so he had bought a simple metal chain to hang it on. He would rub it whenever he was stressed or worrying but it seemed he had left it back home. Oh An idea came to mind. he looked around him to make sure he wasn¡¯t being watched. He took out an old digital music player that michael had gifted to him. he placed the earphones in his ear and turned up the volume. He made sure to play some heavy metal just in case and played the song. His ears hurt but all sounds were completely drowned out and he felt like Yletta no longer had control over his heart. Yes! He pumped his fist and Paul and some other knights looked weirdly at him. Luckily Elden had untied his hair at this point and it hid the earphones so no one knew. Meanwhile Yletta¡¯s words got louder. ¡°Please just give the sword back and go back to chantings classes!¡± she ordered ¡°Fa¡.Fine!¡± said Kisha while entranced by Yletta. ¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ªLater that night¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª ¡°Father, please start sending out the heroes on some quest or something.¡± Yletta begged her father ¡°They¡¯re still not ready. I don¡¯t want to lose any trump cards if I can help it.¡± said The king. ¡°My charm magic can only calm them down but their anger won¡¯t disappear. I fear if they don¡¯t find an outlet to get rid of their anger they may do something we may not like.¡± ¡®Hmm I¡¯ll discuss it with the Head Knight, perhaps a goblin extermination may help them. It will be good practice so they can get used to killing.¡± ¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ªA week later¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª¡ª They were dressed in the finest armors while carrying strong shields and the sharpest of swords while the girls wore robes and held staffs. Surrounding the classmates were a few knights who acted as extra guards to their flanks. It was a simple formation. The boys at the front while the girls behind them acted as their support. ¡°Hmm so you saw the girls using magic then?¡± asked Elden ¡°That¡¯s right it was spectacular really but I don¡¯t see why we couldn¡¯t learn the chants. It would help.¡± Ganesh looked on ahead In the Country Kovolava it was seen as cowardly for men to use chants and magic since such things were left to witches and clerics from the church. Suffice to say that the girls had been taught by nuns in the use of holy magic. ¡°Hmm. well atleast we learned martial arts.¡± To make up for the difference knights were capable of performing superhuman feats and used martial techniques to defeat their enemy. ¡°It¡¯s sad tho.¡± said Michael ¡°Hmm? what is?¡± ¡°The other races are being enslaved although maybe it¡¯s better to have slave monster girls. eheheheh¡± Michael started panting to his delusion. Elves,cat-girls,Lamias it seemed all these fantastical creatures existed in one form or the other and Michael was hellbent on finding them. Unauthorized usage: this tale is on Amazon without the author''s consent. Report any sightings. ¡°Any other information Ganesh?¡± ¡°No, the servants seemed rather tight-lipped.¡± ¡°Agreed, Although I think they¡¯re purposefully keeping information from us but luckily I attained some information from my maids.¡± said Elden After the first day on this new world the maids that had been assigned to clean them up had been permanently assigned to each hero. So everyone had 2 maids that helped them get dressed and did other chores for them. ¡°What did they say?¡± asked Ganesh ¡°What the hell my maids hate me and won¡¯t even talk to me.¡± said Michael depressingly in the background ¡°Well we¡¯re surrounded by many kingdoms and countries but there are four other major ones. To the north is the kingdom Seversky, In the east Vichodni Kingdom, South of us is the Jizny Federation, and lastly to the west lies The kingdom of Zapad.¡± ¡°Hey you guys stop talking we¡¯re on a mission!¡± yelled Paul. Michael clicked his tongue¡±Who made him leader?¡± The trio had decided that it was their best chance to discuss things but Paul had some reason to warn them. They were on a goblin extermination Mission. It would be their very first military operation as knights of the kingdom. ¡°There it is!¡± said one of the male classmates. ¡°Shhh. shut up they might hear us.¡± They had arrived at the cave where the goblins had settled. The knights of the kingdom had told them to pretend as if they weren¡¯t there so everything was up to the students. Nobody moved for quite a while. ¡°Ahahaha this is nothing guys come on. It¡¯s just like a game. Someone hand me a torch.¡± Someone handed Paul a lit torch which he carried on his left hand. Early on Paul had ditched the shield when he had been given an enchanted Greatsword from the royal treasury. It was called Brilliance and it¡¯s enchantment allowed for strikes embedded with lightning. ¡°It¡¯s just a game.¡± Paul repeatedly mumbled while he entered ¡°Well let¡¯s go too. Paul can¡¯t be the only one with balls.¡± said Elden as he drew his Sword ThunderCrack¡ªsister sword to Brilliance¡ª which was also given to him from the royal treasury. It was ironic that Thundercrack was a single handed sword while lightning was a two-handed Greatsword. For Elden it felt like Thundercrack took more skill to use even if his preferred weapon might have been brilliance it felt like he could bring out the best in Thundercrack. ¡°It needs a better name.¡± said Michael next to him while holding a torch. ¡°Hmm? what does Mike?¡± Elden turned his head while walking ¡°Your sword, dude¡± ¡°I think it¡¯s fine. I mean it¡¯s just a sword.¡± ¡°No you don¡¯t understand agh.look¡± Michael had taken out his phone ¡°Oi.what did we say about hiding our phones. the entire class agreed we¡¯d hide all electronics.¡± ¡°It¡¯s fine. It¡¯s fine¡± said Michael as he typed something into his smart-phone. ¡°See.¡± said Michael as he showed the screen to Elden. On the screen was a translating app which displayed Kaminari Zougan. ¡°Kaminari Zougan? does it have a special meaning?¡± ¡°That''s not the point doesn¡¯t it sound bad ass? I mean imagine drawing the sword while sayin ¡° Kaminari Zougan¡± and then killing your opponent with your a single strike.¡± Elden face-palmed¡± Michael just shut up for a bit.¡± Elden viewed his surroundings as his eyes adjusted to the darkness. He saw several small shapes in front of them. ¡°Hey! Watch out!¡± he screamed as several arrows were headed towards the front of the group. A few of the boys smart enough put up their shields. those who hadn¡¯t were lucky enough that their armor could not be easily penetrated by crude arrows. After the second wave of arrows many goblins went forward and charged them. Paul roared and drove his sword into a oblin. His face full of disgust as blood sprayed over him. Paul, Elden and a few other boys were the only ones fighting. The rest of the boys just stood there while slowly inching back. Elden swung his sword and decapitated a goblin. My first kill huh A moment¡¯s thought about his first kill but he didn¡¯t have time to think about anything else as more goblins came forward. He kept cutting them down one by one but every time another another came out like a game of Whack-a-Mole. He turned and look at the girls. Most were unable to due anything due to their fear unable to recite the chants for any buffs or healing magic. Only three girls were doing their jobs but they were all casting it on Paul. What the fuck¡.. Elden had only one scratch on his face and he still had yet to break a sweat but he had been trained since childhood. The other boys began to get tired. It was they who need some recovery magic. Elden could do nothing as more of the goblins began to concentrate on him since they deemed him the largest threat of the group. He alone was holding the left flank as he slowly went forwards towards the center. Just like practice. They¡¯re nothing more than moving dolls. He steadied his breathing. Relying on all the sword movements the knight¡¯s had taught him. It was good practice for him. He had decided not to use his father¡¯s teachings and rely on only the knight''s training but he¡¯s occasionally use moves that were unlike a knight''s due to force of habit. The Knight''s sword play was more Hack and slash. It relied on strength more than anything. Usually Elden wouldn¡¯t allow even one strike to land on him but he relied on his shield and armor to take on the attacks from the Goblin¡¯s inferior weapons. He sighed. What he was gonna do would go against what his father always told him. Help no one and lookout for number 1. ¡°Oi! everyone run away from the cave! I¡¯ll hold em back.¡± Either they ignored him or were to scared to listen. Elden yelle even louder. ¡°Run! You idiots. I¡¯ll be the rear guard.¡± It didn¡¯t take another second for people to start running towards the cave¡¯s exit. At first maybe one or 2 girls ran but afterwards as if a dam had been broken they all ran. Elden wasn¡¯t planning on dying. The knights who were accompanying them had been left outside at the cave entrance. So as long as he reached the exit he''d be safe. He brought up his stance and prepared to use the enchantment on his sword Thundercrack. He dropped the shield and brought the sword back and then he swung. A thunderous sound and the waves of Goblins were blown back. It was more like a super sonic boom that blew em away like a hurricane . The aftermath was as if a quick storm had visited the cave. The small pitched tents and all the goblins belongings were in tatters. However most of the goblins were unhurt and slowly stood up extremely pissed and ready to go kill the brat who had blown them away. They looked forward but he wasn¡¯t there. ¡°Ah who would''ve thought we¡¯d get our asses kicked by goblins.¡± said Elden in between breaths as he ran towards the cave exit. ¡°Kill pretty girl!¡± He heard the goblins scream. Elden was still wearing that bow to tie his hair back although he didn¡¯t think it necessary, his maids Terra and Liandra were very obstinate about him wearing the large red bow. He had to admit his hair was silky smooth now compared to before but well it really didn¡¯t matter to him either way. Only reason he had grown it was to save money. The Knights were standing on the exit ready to receive an attack from goblins only to be surprised for Elden to come out instead. Elden wasn¡¯t very sure about fighting together with his class. They wore nothing more than nuisance and liabilities. He had to show them the brutality of life. ¡°We are not done! Everyone form up! Guys in the front and girls in the back. The Knight¡¯s will watch our flank. There will be no running away this time. Seriously they¡¯re goblins! The weakest of the weak.¡± Markusy was impressed.¡± You heard him!¡± An official leader had never been appointed and most had assumed Paul would end up in that position. We should have just done this from the start thought Elden as they all stood in formation awaiting the horde of goblins. The first of the goblins came out unto the sun. While momentarily stunned they soon realized they were encircled and they went forward in rage to protect their homes and children. ¡°Shields Up! Stay in line!¡± Elden stood at the center and seeing him hack away at countless goblins gave they classmates vigor and they too started to perform without a care. This time their flanks were secured by professional warriors. At the end of the day 300 hundred goblins had been eradicated. Volume 1-4: Ceremony of blood Author''s Note:what''s up peeps? another chapter coming later. As always reviews, ratings,Recommendations,Corrections,Questions and comments are greatly appreciated ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Chapter 4: Ceremony of blood. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The objective of the goblin extermination had been to let the heroes blow off some steam. Instead of returning less angry and more energetic they returned depressed. Their bodies aching at levels of pain that made it appear on their faces. P.E was nothing compared to the exercise they had just gone through. The royal family had received them at the gates. Markusy turned towards the heroes ¡°Everyone, please return to your rooms and wash up. while I go speak to the king.¡± Nobody argued as they dragged themselves to their respective rooms. Even for Elden ¡ªwhose body had been accustomed to such heavy labor¡ªhis muscles screamed with pain.. He opened the door to his room and waiting for him inside were his two maids Terra and Liandra. He raised his arms up and the girls approached him and began to take off the armor. Although this was generally the work of a squire the heroes weren¡¯t classified as ¡°knights¡± and so the task fell on to the maids. His maids then led him to an already filled bathtub. He took off his clothes and entered. They scrubbed his body and cleaned his hair. By this point he had been accustomed to this routine and was no longer embarrassed or awkward. The blonde Terra washed his hair while the red-haired Liandra washed his body leisurely. After 30 minutes he had finished and was now drying off when the door was knocked. Liandra went to open the door. A butler accompanied by 2 other maids brought in trays and set it up on the table that was in the middle of the room. ¡°Hmm? What¡¯s this?¡± ¡°It¡¯s dinner, sir.¡± said the Butler as Elden removed the cover of the tray. Such extravagant food! ¡°What¡¯s the occasion.¡± The last time they gave food like this was on their first day afterwards they had to eat at the chow hall. ¡°Well it¡¯s a reward from his majesty for the Goblin Extermination.¡± Elden accepted this lie easily. ¡°But why not have dinner together with everyone else?¡± The Butler showed a professional smile as if expecting such a question. ¡°Well this way you can eat and relax in your own rooms.¡± In truth Elden was the only one receiving such exquisite food while the others had to go down to the Military chow hall to eat something. It was a ploy by his majesty to isolate Elden from the rest of the heroes. Making Elden have to rely on the royal family while giving him constant rewards for his merits. Like this the royal family would win him over and so Elden suspected nothing and enjoyed his dinner. ¡ó The next day they headed to the Adventurer¡¯s Guild to register. According to Markusy the Adventurer¡¯s Guild had been established 20 years earlier and had just recently had a great spurt in growth. So the class spent most of the day registering. Of Course it was more of a parade as the Knights escorted the heroes to the Guild. It seemed many people wanted to catch a glimpse of them, It took most of the day but they had all registered as adventures. The Kids were walking back to the castle together. ¡°Oh man I wish we could eat what we ate yesterday everyday.¡± said Elden while he held his arms behind his head. ¡°eh? really? Did you like it that much?¡± asked Michael. he thought it strange as they were served grey gruel yesterday that had a bland taste. ¡°Ofcourse!¡± answered Elden excitedly. ¡°Hmm.¡± ¡°What¡¯s up Ganesh?¡± ¡°Oh nothing just looking at the adventure plate.¡± After they had registered everyone was issued a copper metal that could be pinned on to your person. It had the basic information and served the same purpose a dog tag would besides also showing an adventurer¡¯s rank. It classified people into 7 ranks. Rank 1: Copper Rank 2:Bronze Rank 3:Silver Rank 4: Gold Rank 5: Platinum Rank 6: Diamond Rank 7: Black Naturally one would accept missions depending on their ranks which showed their levels of experience. It also was not uncommon to find lesser ranked adventurers who had better combat capabilities than higher ranked ones. After the registration they headed to the king''s court as the King was going to conduct some ceremony. It seemed they had finished their so called training and were now going on their adventure to subjugate the Demon Lord. And so all 32 students of the class stood in their armor and equipment in the royal court room. They looked elegant with their armor and dresses while carrying weapons and staffs. "Everyone please kneel." Asked the king. They hesitated naturally and began to take a knee when they heard commotion outside. Sounds of slaughter and screams of pain. They all turned to the great door that was the entrance to the courtroom. It was connected to the main castle gate. If you discover this narrative on Amazon, be aware that it has been stolen. Please report the violation. The Large wooden door was blown off its hinges while the figure of a large 8ft man -with a single horn slanted to the right- entered. "They you all are!" Said the giant with a large voice. "Demon." Muttered someone in the room. The "Demon" smiled and showed his large teeth. "That''s right. The name''s Demon General Hn¨¦v." Demon Generals were few in number. They never exceeded the double digits. Each was supposed the be the equivalent of a demon army. "I''ve come to take these heroes with me since my Lord is interested in you lot. Which is why we didn''t interrupt your summoning since that engraved circle in the town square is impossible to reproduce." The king shook with fear. This was not the plan. This meant his kingdom only existed because the Demon Lord had allowed it on a simple whim to see these heroes. How much blood was sacrificed for his trump card. They were HIS and no one would change that. "Stop him! You fools!" He shouted towards the knights. The knights came back to their senses and moved to protect the heroes while drawing their swords. Hnev continued to stare and eyed them curiously. One Knight raised his sword and swiped his sword rightward. Hnev received the strike and slapped the helm-clad Man¡¯s head . The man''s head flew and landed below the King. Someone screamed and that scream was like the dinner bell. The beginning of a slaughter. Many knights went forward and all of them were crushed. All knights if put on the same scale as adventurer¡¯s would be a minimum of rank 3 Silver. These were the newbies and new blessed knights. Veterans were at least rank 4: Gold. Vice-captains and captains were rank 5 Platinum. Only one knight was at the pinnacle rank 6: Diamond. Markusy went forward blocking a swipe from hnev with his Iron shield. The left hand that held the shield was crushed but he still had his sword hand which he swung. It managed to scratch the surface of Hnev¡¯s skin. ¡°You insignificant wretch.¡± Hnev grabbed Markusy by the neck and tossed him towards the wall. Markusy smashed into the wall and had been knocked out. In less than a minute Hnev had eliminated all knights in the immediate area. Only one of the heroes moved¡ªkeisha the girl who had wanted to practice swordsmanship¡ª and picked up a sword from one of the fallen Knights. ¡°SharKeisha! No!¡± screamed one of the girls as Keisha went forward. She had always been tougher than most boys. She was a natural athlete and always one of the first in any sports competition. Swinging a sword wasn¡¯t hard at all. She had seen the boys practice a dozen times and had memorized the moves, stances and techniques. She was useless as chanter. Always constantly forgetting the chants. Keisha had been decapitated before she could even raise her sword. The girls had been standing at the back of the ceremony, closest to the door. ¡°Protect the girls!¡± The boys moved and drew their swords. The first of the boys to rush Hnev had been Keisha¡¯s twin brother Kaleb. Hven titled his head to the side as he ripped off Kaleb¡¯s sword arm. Two other boys¡ªKeaton and Tom¡ª were up next as Hnev used both his arms and pierced each boy¡¯s respective chest but as expected of the Kingdom''s armor it had protected their chest. Hven repeated the same action and managed to pierce through with his second attack. He picked them up and threw them in an arc towards the class. Elden had understood his Foe¡¯s strength and so he stood there defensively standing in between Hven and the girls. ¡°Stand firm Guys! Girls start healing them!¡± he looked at the boys on the floor with holes in their chests. ¡°Oi! Paul!¡± Elden turned to Paul. ¡°Wh...wha¡ What?¡± Paul stuttered while keeping his eyes on Hnev, ¡°I¡¯ll make an opening and you start preparing that special move you¡¯ve practiced with Brilliance.¡± Paul looked at his Great-sword¡ªBrilliance¡ªand nodded. ¡°Alright then. OK guys surround him!¡± Elden stood in front Hnev and waited while his classmates encircled Hnev. ¡°Hmm?¡± Hnev scratched his head ¡°I guess only taking one or two alive should be fine.¡± he said as he grinned. Elden didn¡¯t respond as he swung Thunder-crack sending a blast of force towards Hnev but nothing happened. Like a mountain against the wind Hnev continued to stand ,unperturbed. Elden clicked his tongue,His strongest move useless. Edin moved forward and taking his lead were the boys as they swung their swords. Hven didn¡¯t have to parry the blows around him. His skin and muscles served as natural armor. Like a father wrestling with his 15 sons he tossed them all aside and sent a single punch toward Elden¡¯¡¯s chest. Elden moved his shield to block the punch. The shield was smashed into pieces in midair but Elden¡¯s figure was no longer behind the shield. Hnev saw a small shine to his immediate left. He stopped the sword inches from reaching his eye and punched Elden in the chest. ¡°Guh!¡± Hnev grabbed Elden by his waist long hair and hurled him like a slingshot towards the wall but with this Elden had bought enough time for Paul¡¯s preparation. ¡°Lightning slash!¡± screamed Paul as he slashed the sword of lightning against Hnev¡¯s Chest. Volume 1-5: Ceremony of blood(continued) part 2 Author¡¯s Note: I forgot to mention that rank 6 diamond is the highest level a ¡°normal¡± Human can achieve. Anything past rank 6 is rank: black in other words it¡¯s not possible to gauge the strength. also not BL! and yes I know it''s short As always reviews, ratings,Recommendations,Corrections,Questions and comments are greatly appreciated ------------------------------------------------------- Chapter 5: Continued --------------------------------------------------------- His eyes closed ,Elden rested on the floor. Elden¡¯s chest armor had been badly smashed in and that made it incredibly difficult for him to breathe but he still barely managed to exhale . With this it was over. Paul¡¯s attack was something that even Elden feared. Before he closed his eyes he had seen the attack make contact. Oh man that guy was strong. I bet even dad would have difficulty with that guy. Still Elden had confidence that his father would still have won despite the fact that this was another world. ¡°HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!¡± Someone was happy A loud laugh went throughout the Castle¡¯s Courtroom. ¡°Impossible.¡± Elden heard Paul¡¯s fear-filled voice. Hmm? He raised an eyebrow and slowly opened his eyes.. Hnev¡¯s figure stood there with big gash across his chest. Paul started to slowly back away unable to comprehend the fact that his attack had failed. Everyone including Paul were scared stiff . Most of them in full shock. They had just witnessed a bunch of people die including their own classmates. Elden was infuriated. They might not have been very close but his classmates had been killed and he should have no, he could have done something. His heart was filled full of regret. It¡¯s my fault. He slowly and shakily stood up as all the people present were either shocked, too scared to move, or had accepted their deaths. Most of the officials and people who had come to watch had either ran of stood petrified or died. The room was so completely devoid of sound you could have heard a pencil drop ¡°It¡¯s my fault. I¡¯m sorry because I¡¯ve been half-assing it.¡± said Elden with his eyes down cast in shame as he walked towards Hven while taking off his armor slowly. Hven continued to stare curious at what this young boy was doing. Elden took his sword and proceeded cut his already ruined hair off. His long blonde hair now barely reached his shoulders. Slowly he started gaining speed. First a power walk, then a jog, and then he was running at an amazing speed toward Hnev while holding his cut off hair in his left hand ,once he was close enough he threw his hair. The hair fluttered up into the air and distracted Hnev for but a second. However that second was all the time Elden needed as a large cut suddenly appeared above Hnev¡¯s shoulder causing a slight trickle of blood to come out and suddenly Elden¡¯s figure had completely disappeared from Hven¡¯s vision. Love this novel? Read it on Royal Road to ensure the author gets credit. ¡°Hmm. A little bit too much speed huh? Nearly kissed the wall there. but I gotta say, you¡¯ve got some seriously tough skin.¡± Elden was crouched down and was facing the wall behind Hnev. A meter from the wall. At this time the final strands of his severed hair reached the floor and in a blink Elden was gone again. Hnev quickly turned his head around searching once again for this young boy who had cut him. Another spurt of blood sprayed from a new cut on Hnev¡¯s abdomen and once again Elden appeared elsewhere in a crouched position. I see Elden had learnt his father¡¯s skills and had even mastered them but his father was still far superior. How many times had his father discussed the use of energy? Elden had been able to use this so called energy and the techniques that came with it back home but here in this world. Their power was tenfold. His father had far more experience which was why Elden assumed he always lost but he wondered if he could battle his father here and now. No, he¡¯d get the same power up huh? ¡°Ok then. I think I¡¯ve got this down.¡± Elden jumped up and stretched. He then pointed Thundercrack towards Demon General Hnev rank 4. ¡°Let¡¯s get this party started.¡± A sudden blur and Elden was gone meanwhile a cut appeared on Hnev¡¯s cheek causing blood to drip off of his face. ¡°You dare!¡± Hnev screamed, his face contorting in rage as several cuts continued to appear on the surface of his skin drawing more blood. Had it perhaps been any other Demon general they might have attacked the other students in order to slow Elden down. Elden would have surely stood in their way to protect his classmates but Hnev¡¯s mind was far too clouded with anger and he continued to stand there constantly turning his head as several more cuts appeared on his body. However all Hnev could see was a sudden blur that kept appearing out of nowhere.Hnev definitely had the power to end this in a single strike but he relied on no techniques or moves, just simple raw power was what he had used to get to his position. ¡°Heh, this is some great combat practice.¡± Elden finally stopped dashing around and appeared In front of Hnev. Hnev¡¯s eyes were filled with fury, he thought of nothing other than killing the boy in front of him in as many ways as possible. He charged forward like a bull chasing a matador in red and like a matador,Elden easily jumped out of the way. *CRASH* Hnev¡¯s body crashed into the wall leaving a large hole in it. He then straightened, turned around, and bellowed . ¡°Let¡¯s hope you can deepthroat it!¡± said Elden as he shoved his Sword down Hnev¡¯s gaping mouth. He then sent a thunder shock wave down into Hnev¡¯s body and in the next instant Hnev¡¯s chest exploded sending blood skin and organs flying everywhere leaving a large gaping hole in the middle of his body. Hnev was making gurgling noises as he clutched at his throat slowly collapsing. Elden jumped off of Hnev¡¯s shoulders after removing his sword from Hnev¡¯s throat. He then turned around and said: ¡°Looks like I came a little early.¡± while Hnev collapsed on the floor right behind him. Volume 1-6: Epilogue Author''s Note: Alright then lads with this volume one is over. I want to thank GamefreakAaron for PR''ing this chapter. You can check his fiction Here .Volume 2 prologue should be up later after that I''m gonna focus a bit more on ''I was summoned to another world without any cheats so I became a villager'' ENJOY!~ As always reviews, ratings,Recommendations,Corrections,Questions and comments are greatly appreciated ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Volume 1: Epilogue ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Demon grabbed him by his long shimmering, beautiful hair and threw him across the room when this happened, she gasped. At that moment Paul¡¯s strongest attack was released. With this It was finally over or at least she had expected it to be over. However the Demon general laughed while Paul fell on his back filled with fear, and he wasn¡¯t the only one. Everyone was scared. The heroes were quickly realizing that it wasn¡¯t all just fun and games. The royal family were now facing their destruction Now she stood still and fully accepted death. Hnev, otherwise known as the rank 4 Demon General had come to take the heroes. In the end all her plans and her parents strategies had been made utterly useless in just one day. ¡°It¡¯s my fault. I¡¯m sorry because I¡¯ve been half-assing it.¡± that voice came from him. She had fallen head over heels for his looks. She knew nothing more than his name but she wanted him. She knew that, but as the first princess her life depended on whom she married . Her only brother had been sacrificed to fuel the summoning ritual. Whoever she married would become king of Kovolava and her the queen. She needed a strong puppet whom she could control and so she set her sights on the heroes. She had flirted with Paul much to the chagrin of her little sister. Elden started taking his crushed armor off. Those Gentle green eyes she admired were now filled with an intense killing intent. He then took his sword and cut his hair. The hair she envied was now tragically shortened up to his shoulders. He then started moving faster and faster towards Hnev. No! Run way! she had wanted to scream. Elden threw his hair at the Demon and then disappeared in a blur. In the next instant a cut appeared on the demon. ¡°Hmm. A little bit too much speed huh? Nearly kissed the wall there. but I gotta say, you¡¯ve got some seriously tough skin.¡± he said and disappeared again as another cut appeared on the demon. ¡°Ok then. I think I¡¯ve got this down.¡± Elden jumped up and stretched. He then pointed Thundercrack towards Demon General Hnev ¡°Let¡¯s get this party started.¡± Cuts continued to form on the Demon¡¯s body. It all happened too fast for her to comprehend. ¡°You dare!¡± Hnev bellowed While he screamed that even more cuts appeared on him. ¡°Heh, this is some great combat practice.¡± Hnev rushed Elden as he said that and ended up crashing into the wall. Furious at the fact that Elden had dodged out of the way he turned and roared. This story is posted elsewhere by the author. Help them out by reading the authentic version. ¡°Let¡¯s hope you can deepthroat it!¡± said Elden haughtily as he shoved his Sword down Hnev¡¯s gaping mouth. He then sent a thunder shock wave down into Hnev¡¯s body and in the next instant Hnev¡¯s chest violenly exploded sending blood, skin, and organs flying everywhere. Leaving a large gaping hole in the middle of his body. Yletta fell ever deeper in love as she looked on at Elden she whispered under her breath ¡°He came too soon.¡± ¡ó Demon Lord Hrdost sat on his throne. 4 weeks ago he had sent Hnev of rank 4 to capture the summoned ¡®Heroes¡¯. Hnev was 3 ranks lower than him but he was no lightweight. It should have only taken a week to arrive at the kingdom, another week to find and capture them, and another week to return to his castle. A total of 3 weeks was the maximum amount of time it should have taken Hnev to return. Although he preferably had wanted all of the summoned heroes but he was fine with just having one or two. So it was within his predictions if Hnev had killed a few of them, but now he was more than a week late. There were very few possibilities as to what could have happened. Either he had completed the mission assigned to him or he had failed. If he had completed his mission then he should have shown up in front of Hrdost already. Is Hven planning to rebel with help from these heroes? Hrdost had chosen him for the very reason that Hnev was a fighter and was less cunning than his other subordinates. As the the strongest and as the Demon Lord he constantly dealt with threats to his throne. It pained him to think that he¡¯d have to deal with Hnev and enslaved heroes. At that moment someone entered the throne room. It was Pichy she was Hnev¡¯s second in command but unlike Hnev she wasn¡¯t as easily angered. ¡°Great Lord.¡± she curtsied bowed. Not many of his vassals were loyal enough or rather subservient enough to bend their knees and only treated him with some form of respect as the highest being. ¡°What is it? any news?¡± ¡°Less than news, there have been rumors of humans parading the corpse of a Demon general throughout the Kovolava Capital. Usually we¡¯d assume it¡¯s another ploy to improve human morale but with my Lord missing....¡± ¡°I understand. You have my permission to send people to investigate.¡± ¡°Yes of course.¡± Pichy smiled lightly. She had already sent people to investigate long ago but she needed time to think of a plan to replace the now dead rank #4. She stepped out of the throne leaving a smiling Hrdost on the throne. Such a situation had been out of his predictions. ¡°This is going to be entertaining.¡± he said at the thought of finding something that would maybe bring him some slight joy into his mundane life. He summoned a small grey golem no larger than a monkey. ¡°Send a message to rank 7. He might be interested in this.¡± Volume One END Volume 2-0: Prologue Author''s Note: I was distracted by a game so a bit later then expected. Sorry about that also it''s RANT TIME: recently I got a "review" of half a star that said my stuff had nothing unique or original. Which in my opinion, something doesn''t need something unique or original to be good. Might as well make my MC( Main Character) an orc with a penis growing on his forehead. That''s unique and original right? anyhow not only that they called my work mediocre. Which I''m fine with you know. It''s his opinion but mediocre means average which to me should be 3 stars not half of one. That and his ''review'' had nothing constructive towards my writing. crummy grammar? then tell me where I can Improve. Tell me my mistake so that I can work to fix em. You want a unique and original fiction!? I''ll make my MC have both genitalia growing on his forehead. Which in hindsight I''m pretty sure is not original because rule 34 guys.....Sorry I feel if I didn''t say anything I wouldn''t be able to keep writing. I''m just gonna ignore that and power through to bring my story to you guys. Hope you enjoy it and I''m sad so fist-bump me guys. As always reviews, ratings,Recommendations,Corrections,Questions and comments are greatly appreciated ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Volume 2 Epilogue: Taken ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Liam noticed it the first day. After the bar had been closed he had spent a few hours outside the liquor store. His son hadn¡¯t come back home. He assumed he had spent a night at his little friend¡¯s house. The next day he still hadn¡¯t seen him come back. After a week he began to worry albeit very little. He had made sure the kid could take care of himself. It was the only thing he could do. He knew that he wasn¡¯t a great father. He doubted he could even be called a father. He had failed her yet again. Maybe the kid had grown fed up and ran away. He sat down in his little shack and took another swig of from the box of cheap beer he had bought. He noticed a ring attached to a necklace on the floor. He picked it up. He was fine with his son forsaking him but forsaking his mother. That was crossing the line. So he ran to the little friend''s place. He racked his brain thinking of every little detail about Elden¡¯s friend Michael and the whereabouts of said home. He knocked on the sub-urban-esque door. A man in his 50¡¯s opened the door. ¡°How can I help you?¡± asked the older man tiredly. Liam noticed the man¡¯s mood. ¡°I¡¯m just looking for my son, Elden, I heard he was good friends with your son.¡± Michael¡¯s father looked at Liam, confused. ¡°The entire class has been missing for more than a week.¡± In Liam¡¯s drunken stupor he had failed to notice the biggest story in this city. The disappearance of an entire class. The only witness was the class¡¯s teacher who claimed a bright light blinded him and when his vision recovered the students had disappeared. Suspicion was initially placed on the teacher for their disappearance but there wasn¡¯t enough evidence to convict him. Liam ran to the school. It was too late now but that didn¡¯t stop him as he easily crossed over the school gates. He sprinted towards the classroom. ¡°Damn it!¡± He could still feel the Energy residue. He looked down at the ring that belonged to the women he loved. Grasping it in his hand. It seemed Elden had been taken. Liam returned to his shack under the freeway. It seemed the police had never visited him due to the fact that they couldn¡¯t find Elden¡¯s address. He walked in and lifted up one of the floor boards towards the edge of the House. Inside was a simple wooden box. He opened the box and checked it¡¯s contents. Another ring was placed inside it, except this one unlike his own ring, was far less regal in its looks and lacked any gems. He then pulled out a long and large object wrapped up in a white cloth. He unwrapped it and revealed a large ornate claymore . Liam then set out to find and return his son. ¡ó John Montem is a 6ft3 male with blue eyes and brownish blonde hair on his right is a 5ft7 girl with reddish/green eyes and amber colored hair named Riley Mare. Both of them were staring in awe at the spectacle going on in front of them, they watched as the friendly pretty boy Elden took down a monster in an extremely short amount of time John looked at Riley and said ¡°Riley that guy seems to be much better at sword fighting than me.¡± Riley looked at John aghast and said ¡°THAT was what you were thinking?¡± both of them were in awe of Elden¡¯s immense battle powers and decided they needed to know him better. As to why these two weren¡¯t shocked by what they saw? Both John and Riley had attended the same private school when they were kids. The school offered things like sword fighting, archery, and martial arts as electives.Of Course when John moved she¡ªRiley¡ª followed him So John and Riley were well versed in combat leading to them being more in awe of Elden than fearful of him. Unauthorized use: this story is on Amazon without permission from the author. Report any sightings. John had stood back with Riley when the boys encircled Hnev. Their previous combat training had all been practice so when they first encountered the Goblins they had been scared. They were ashamed of themselves. Now though they were a bit more used to bloodshed but this was something else entirely, They grabbed each other¡¯s hands. Maybe just maybe they might be able to make it back home together with someone strong like Elden. At that time Zachary who too was standing back with the girls.5ft ¡®11 Short Black hair, Brown eyes, he is considered to be a selfish person who only helps out for some form of compensation. He wasn¡¯t about to go get himself killed and leave Mareen alone. Mareen is 5ft6 with a bob cut, black hair, and green eyes She was always a very quiet girl and without Zach she¡¯d have spent her days reading books. She was essentially a walking encyclopedia but speaking with other people wasn¡¯t her strong suit. Elden then started cutting the Demon general several times.while spouting crummy one-liners as he killed the Demon General. Zachary felt like it might be a safe bet to get in good with Elden. ¡ó Glenn stood there watching the boy with long blonde hair while the ceremony started. He was the ambassador to the Kovolava Kingdom from the Eastern Kingdom of Vichodni. His Kingdom had once been great until the separation of the churches happened. The war of churches cost the Vichodni Kingdom it¡¯s royal family. The benevolent King, His wife the Hero-Saint and their young child killed by the church. They who had gone against the doctrine of the church were killed for speaking up for the rights of non-humans and as if that wasn¡¯t bad enough, they also spoke out against the Holy crusades against the Demon Kingdom. They even sought peace with the demons. In the end his kingdom slowly crumbled losing the support of the Church of Lehky. The people unable to follow any just ruler. There was no figure to unite them and bring prosperity. Glenn now had to deal with this king of Kovolava who had summoned heroes. He had tried speaking to these heroes in order to get a few to defect to his own kingdom but his pursuits were stopped by the King of Kovolava. Yet he continued to stare at this girl? No judging from the armor he was definitely a boy. He was pretty enough to rival most Noble girls but he seemed familiar to Glenn. He was reminded of someone but he couldn¡¯t put his finger on who this ¡°Goldilocks¡± resembled. It wouldn¡¯t hurt to get this boy to talk to Glenn. Then a Demon General attacked. Unlike the other diplomats Glenn didn¡¯t run. There wasn¡¯t much to live for. So he watched as this kingdom¡¯s Knights died. He felt nothing as a few of the Heroes were cut down. so they weren¡¯t that strong? Then the Heroes started the counter-attack led by ¡°Goldilocks¡± but in the end He was grabbed by that long hair and thrown although he had completed his objective and gave time to his comrade to prepare his attack. Not bad. If he could get that young man who dealt the finishing blow to defect to his country. He could serve as a rallying figure for the people and a valuable war asset as the kingdom bordered The Demon lands. Maybe with Glenn¡¯s help this young lad with brown hair and good looks could become king. The demon laughed unhurt and the brown-haired youth fell on his back. His face filled with despair. Well so much for king. Then ¡°Goldilocks¡± stood back up and cut his hair. He then proceeded to kill the demon General easily as if toying with him. It seemed Glenn¡¯s previous intuition had been correct. He made it his number one priority to greet this ¡°Goldilocks¡±. Volume 2-1: Dinner party
He yawned as Terra shook him. Groggily his eyes landed on the tray that Liandra held. Breakfast in bed. Now that was something he had never experienced. Truly from zero to hero. It¡¯s not like he didn¡¯t like the extra attention. In fact he loved the feeling of being rich but he wasn¡¯t really rich. He had revealed himself. That was probably not good. Chewing as he ate the breakfast, he thought of how things had changed. First of all the royal family seemed to want to curry favor. This was good and bad. This meant better food, clothes, service but at the cost of more responsibility being placed on himself. His father always said that even when you were strong, there was always someone stronger. There was also the fact that he would gain more enemies if he became the face of the heroes. Isn¡¯t this what I wanted though? Money and power were things he had always strived to achieve. It¡¯s the reason he studied and put his all into school. The reason why he went to another school without his friends. He had cut off his friends for this. He shook his head to dispel such thoughts. He finished his breakfast and with assistance from Liandra he equipped the new armor after the last one had been crushed in. He walked through the halls of the castle towards the training yard, encountering the second princess Christina, who was followed by young ladies in waiting. She was still in the process of puberty but was nonetheless A sprouting young flower. He nodded at her and was planning on walking on around. "Good day, Mr.Mitchell ." It seemed she planned on talking to him. Weird. She''s been the only one who hasn''t tired improving our relationship. "Mr. Mitchell is my father. Please call me Elden." He smiled "Then uhm Elden," She looked down as she called him by his first name" Your father must be a great man." Elden scratched his head "Well, I don''t know about a great man but he''s a hell of a fighter." She seemed surprised."Oh, I see." A moment of silence followed afterward. Elden broke the silence. "Ah well it was good seeing you but I really must get to training." He started to walk forward. "Ah uhm!" He stopped and looked back at her. "The thing is, I''ve been meaning to tell you." He tilted his head to the left as she bowed."Thank you! I know this isn''t your fight and we took you from your homes but regardless well thank you for still fighting. " "Your welcome." He said as he turned and waved goodbye while continuing his way to the training yard. ? The training yard he arrived to was different from before. It was nearly empty compared to before. After the whole situation with Hnev. They held a funeral for the classmates they had left. The only ones who truly mourned had been close friends and classmates. Kaleb was there swinging with only his left arm after he had lost his right dominant arm and his sister. He wasn''t the only classmate with a grudge as Keaton¡ª one of the two boys whose chest had been pierced¡ª laid in the infirmary cursing the death of his best friend Tom. There were also a few more boys¡ªJohn, Zachary, and Jacob¡ª the rest of the boys sat in their rooms refusing to continue this adventure. Paul was there swinging just as hard as Kaleb. Which was surprising after his own clique had given up on helping or training. ¡°Yo! Guys.¡± Elden called out to them while he jogged over to them. Zachary nodded in salutation ¡°Hey, so you woke up Eld?¡± John asked Elden scratched his head. ¡°AHAHAHA isn¡¯t that obvious!? A man gets tired after giving such an asskicking!¡± yelled out Jakob as he put his arm around Elden. ¡°Yeah, I was a bit tired.¡± ¡°See! see!¡± Jakob asked the two other boys. Zachary and John both nodded. ¡°Anywho ,what were we talking about?¡± asked Elden ¡°Mnm, well we were talking about Paul.¡± said Zachary ¡°Yep, It¡¯s liked the demons killed his entire family.¡± John added ¡°I¡¯m sure he¡¯s just working hard.¡± added Jakob. ¡°Or he¡¯s pissed someone stole his spotlight.¡± quipped Zach. They all smiled or laugh. ¡°Hmm, anywho the main topic is what the hell we¡¯re doing?¡± said John in an attempt to change the topic of conversation. ¡°Well there¡¯s no reason to sit in our rooms doing nothing.¡± said Jakob ¡°There¡¯s also no reason to help the people of this world out either.¡± countered Zachary ¡°What if we did nothing?¡± asked Elden ¡°Well we¡¯d be nothing more than annoyances so.¡± Zachary said. ¡°What are you saying?¡± asked Jakob ¡°I¡¯m saying they might get rid of parasites like any other normal human being.¡± All four understood Zachary¡¯s words. ¡°So then for now we keep moving forward ,huh?¡± said John to no one in particular. They kept silent. ¡°Anyways, Eden where the hell did you learn to fight like that!?¡± asked Jakob. ¡°erm, from my dad.¡± he answered without conviction. ¡°Your dad must be awesome!¡± ¡°Wish my dad was that cooled.¡± They continued to shower his father with praise. Elden never thought of praising his father. If he had one word to describe his feelings about his father it could be answered with hate. Constantly training. Elden worked hard to be praised by his father. Anything for a hug or a pat on the back. After years of receiving none, Elden realized that no matter how hard he tried his father would never deliver. He was nothing but a drunk but for once Elden thanked his father in his heart. Things would have been different if his father had never taught him how to use a sword. ? It took more than an hour of preparation even though the clothes had already been chosen for him. ¡°Uhm...I¡¯m not wearing this.¡± He spread out the tight pants and showed it to the maids. Such tight pants were in fashion with aristocratic men. ¡°You have to. It¡¯s part of the complete outfit.¡± said Terra.Recently the maids spoke to him in a more casual tone. Sometimes completely dropping the ¡®My lord¡¯ at the end of their sentences. He realized this was his fault as he had asked them to treat him as a close friend when he was asking for information. Maybe I¡¯m too nice He shook his head. ¡°Yeah...No I¡¯ll wear my jeans instead.¡± He picked up the folded jeans which he hadn¡¯t worn since the first day they were summoned. Since most days were spent training he often wore loose training clothes. ¡°At Least wear the top part, please My Lord.¡± Said Leandra as she pleaded with her eyes. Elden scratched his head. ¡°I guess.¡± He seemed unsure as Liandra¡¯s eyes didn¡¯t change their expression. He sighed¡± Fine.¡± So he wore his jeans while wearing clothes a noble would wear to dinner. ? The jeans he wore were black so it didn¡¯t look half bad with the blue coat and other clothes he was wearing. The royal family had invited him to dinner which is why he wore such clothes. This was something he had kept from his classmates. He realized he was the only one eating exquisite food while his classmates ate with the knights. He was going to complain to the royal family about this and was willing to negotiate to at least give good food to those who still trained. The butler he was following stopped at the door and stepped out of his way while bowing and pointing towards the door with his hands. Elden took a large breath. His job now was to act as the groups Representative but he was more confident of negotiating while holding a sword. If you discover this tale on Amazon, be aware that it has been unlawfully taken from Royal Road. Please report it.He pushed the door in and entered. The king and his wife were seated on a lavish table that was smaller than the last one. It had a capacity of 8 seats. The king sat at the head of the table with his wife and his youngest daughter¡ªChristina¡ªseated sitting on his left and right, respectively. ¡°Ah, welcome Elden. Please have a seat.¡± the king gestured to the chair opposite of him. Elden nodded and walked over to the seat on the table. ¡°Aren''t we ah missing one person?¡± asked Elden as he took a seat. The king and his wife laughed while Christina just sighed. ¡°You know how girls are.¡± said the king But I don''t really know how they are He had wanted to say as pressed his lips together to stop himself. ¡°Right...anyways I wanted to talk to you about something.¡± He stopped himself from saying ''Milord'' as Ganesh had reminded him. This was not their country, kingdom or king. They had no obligation to this man. ¡°Oh~what about?¡± Elden sat up straight. ¡°Well it''s about the food being fed to my classmates.¡± ¡°Hmm what about it?.¡± asked the Queen as another door behind and slightly to his right opened. ¡°There she is!¡± The king raised his voice. Yletta who was usually dressed up was now dressed up to the nines. The dress was more provocative than usual as it emphasized her well endowed chest, which she most likely inherited from her mother. Her steps were fluid and straight, like a model on a runway. As she approached ever closer to the table¡ªas a teenage boy¡ªHe couldn''t keep his eyes of her bosom. ¡°As expected of my daughter! She''s gorgeous isn''t she?¡± asked the king. With his eyes still glued to her chest he answered. ¡°Yeah they''re big.¡± he shook his head. ¡°Ah um, I mean she''s beautiful.¡± Ylleta smiled as her cheeks blushed red. She sat down next to Elden rather than sitting closer to her family. The butler brought in carts with trays. Each filled with different foods. This was just the first course. It seemed daunting to Eden as he realized it was probably more than enough to feed most of his classmates. However whenever he tried to bring up the topic he was directed to something else. The king and Queen had years of experience in negotiations and talking. Compared to someone like Elden who had never negotiated with anyone, they were professionals. Elden was easily swept into their pace and had all but forgotten his original intention. He was brought into the party mood. A pretty girl on his right. Extravagant food in front. He spent the evening enjoying himself. When dinner was finished he was invited by yletta to take a walk in their garden. Despite being called heroes, the palace was not free access. They were limited in which areas to approach so Elden had never seen the garden. Yletta placed her arm in between Elden''s and led the way through the hallways. The Garden was situated in the middle of what was the royal family living quarters. It was an open-roofed courtyard larger than an acre of land. This isn''t a garden. It''s a bloody forest! He entered together with Ylleta into the ''garden''. There were trees along the pathway that obstructed the view. The pathway was aligned with bushes and flowers he had never seen. Some flowers smaller while others were gigantic compared to any flowers he had seen on earth. There were small little light around the garden. The sun had already gone down so it made the garden quite bright. He stuck his hand out to one of the lights. The closest one landed on his finger. It gave him quite the shock. ¡°Aren''t these little people!?¡± ¡°Have you never seen these? ¡° asked Yletta. Elden shook his head in denial. ¡°They are the sprites of nature. They tend to gather in beautiful nature filled places such as here. They are rather harmless.¡± Elden looked at the little flying little person. It had a child-like attractiveness. Its gentle glow pleasant to the eyes. The sprite then flew off with the rest of them. As if his vision started clearing the lights began to take form. He could see all the sprites clearly now. The sprites followed the duo until the lights started to gather on Ylleta. Elden turned to stare at her as the strap that held up her dress ripped off. The top part of the dress fell to her waist revealing her bosom in all it''s glory. Elden''s eyes widened. They got bigger!? Her breast that had been constricted by the dress popped out. If Eden was Japanese he would have surely bled from his nose She screamed and ran way as she held up the dress. The small sprites laughed. Elden smiled as he had noticed it was their little prank. ¡°What was the scream!?¡± Elden turned around to see who asked him that. It was the second princess Christina. Unlike her sister¡¯s brown hair her hair was blond. ¡°Hmm? oh princess Christina. Uhm the sprites pranked your older sister.¡± he explained. She tilted her head with a questioning gaze. Christina was a head shorter than Elden and although she appeared to be in middle school she had a certain maturity that made one treat her differently. Elden scratched his head and looked away. ¡°The uhm sprites tore her clothes.¡± ¡°Eh? ah, I see.¡± She felt embarrassed for her sister. A awkward silence filled the area. They just stood there unable to find another topic of conversation. ¡°I¡¯m gonna go.¡± ¡°Would you like to?¡± They both spoke at the same time. They smiled awkwardly ¡°Ye you can go first.¡± offered Elden. He felt awkward with this girl more than when he was with her older sister. It¡¯s not like he had a fear of girls but rather when speaking with an individual it was hard to find a topic of conversation. Yletta usually led the conversation right around this point but when you have 2 people who aren¡¯t great at conversations;awkward moments tend to ensue. She looked slightly down. ¡°Would you like to take a walk with me?¡± I am kinda lost anyways He thought as he smiled and nodded. ¡°Yeah sure lead the way.¡± They walked down the path. Their steps as stilly afternoon in oak woods by a lake. They continued without a word until they reached a small courtyard. In the middle was a fountain. A bit forward away was a gazebo. The lights from the sprites and the starry night lit their late evening walk. ¡°This is beautiful.¡± Elden said. ¡°Thank you.¡± She blushed. I¡¯m talking about the garden He nearly said those words but felt it prudent to withhold his tongue. ¡°I come here to relax and think.¡± she said as she sat down on the ledge of the fountain pool. ¡°I¡¯d imagine it must be exhausting being royalty.¡± She released a small simper as she looked at the statue that stood atop the fountain. Elden followed her gaze. The statue was of a young man with short cropped hair holding a claymore with a single arm extended towards the stars. Elden stared at it perplexed. Their was something with this statue; a sense of familiarity. ¡°This a statue of a hero from before I was even born.¡± she began to explain. ¡°A hero from this world?¡± He asked. ¡°Huh? ah, um yeah¡¡± she turned away from him. ¡°He was the perfect Hero from another kingdom.¡± she turned to look at Elden. ¡° He was obedient and easy to manipulate. Whatever was asked of him, he accomplished. Truly a modern hero, a shining example of a patriot.¡± Elden felt as if she wasn¡¯t speaking about this hero. It was strange. If they had their own heroes then what was the purpose of bringing them here? ¡°What happened to him?¡± he asked storing away his questions for another time. ¡°He was killed by his enemies.¡± Christina answered Killed by enemies? Not by demons Elden felt curious at the princess¡¯ choice of words. ¡°Well it¡¯s getting late. I should go.¡± the Princess abruptly stood up ¡°Ah, I guess you''re right.¡± ¡°I¡¯ll talk to my father about the food situation with your classmates.¡± ¡°eh? oh yeah thanks.¡± He remembered his original objective in attending this dinner. He felt very thankful to this girl and admonished himself. She nodded. ¡°Good night then, Elden.¡± she walked away ¡° Yeah, have a good night.¡± He looked at her as she left and then turned around to stare at the statue. How do I get back to my room? Volume 2-Chapter 2: Dungeon
¡°Oh man this is great!¡± Jakob said, his mouth filled with chicken. Everyone was enjoying a delicious high-class dinner similar to the one they first had in this world. All of them were laughing, cheering, and having a great time together. Even the classmates who normally would have hidden themselves away in their rooms were now participating with everyone. Elden¡¯s appetite however was completely gone as he continued to look at the food on his table. The options had been laid out on the table. He was pissed at the king, but even if he killed the king; it that would only end up mean makingputting an entire kingdom as his enemy. Contacting other nations would be no different as they¡¯d likely be given the same conditions. The king had basically told him playtime was over. The next step would be a dungeon or attacking the king¡¯s enemies. Elden wasn''t about to kill humans and he doubted his classmates would be able to stomach it. If the group of heroes decided on not doing either of these 2 options than they¡¯d lose the king''s support. Worst case scenario the king would kill or enslave them. The best case they¡¯d be alone in this world without any money or belongings. First of all why he had to make the decision was beyond him but the thought of revealing the king¡¯s plans to a bunch of immature teenagers didn¡¯t sit well with him. Everything depended on his choice. All he had was his swordsmanship which he decided to use to protect his classmates. If his father knew he¡¯d frown and beat Elden within an inch of his life. One of the rules of his father¡¯s swordsmanship was to never use it to help people. Then what was the point of learning it? Like any other boy his age Elden had once dreamed of being a hero. That dream was crushed by his furious father. Elden rubbed the old wounds he had received on that day. Now however the thought of being a hero elated Elden. It seemed that only one option existed. Now all that was left was to convince his classmates. He sighed Fortune favors the brave, or was it the foolish? Suddenly standing up Eldenhe garnered the attention of his classmates. He cleared his throat to wash away the slight embarrassment he felt. Public speaking was not in his resume¡¯ after all. ¡°Ahem, um first of all I''d like to apologize, Because of me hiding my skills some of our classmates are no longer here.¡± The mood turned sour as Elden noticed two stares from the corner of the table. Keaton and Kaleb who had both lost important people stared at him. Elden ignored their stares. He had long ago accepted the fact that those classmates could have lived had he revealed his cards earlier. ¡°But I want you to trust me me. We can only trust each other here. I will protect all of you with my abilities so¡.,¡± He stopped. It was difficult but he had to tell them they were heading to a dungeon. He had to convince them that this was the most appropriate action. He sighed ¡°¡±Since we can only depend on our own power. We must increase our strength and in order to do that; We need to start conquering a dungeon.¡± ¡ó Ho?k¨¢ tmav¨¢;The only dungeon regulated by the adventurer''s guild. An underground labyrinth whose mysteries only reveal more secrets. Located approximately 2 days away by horse and situated in the center of the city of Zalarmesto. It was the largest source of income to the city who was only second to the kingdom''s capital. Armor, weapons, clothes, potions etc. All an adventurer needed could be bought in this city. The assemblage of the heroes and their accompanying knights stood at the dungeon''s entrance. It was a large gate that simply led down. Originally this gate was the only way into the dungeon however the entranceway had been dug out and expanded, making it possible for large amounts of people to enter. The entrance was surrounded by a bazaar that sold an assorted amount of items useful for adventurer''s. Most items were cheaper as they tended to be second-hand goods obtained from the corpses and item drops from the dungeon. They¡ªThe summoned Heroes¡ª however had no reason to browse as everything had already been provided for them. They were the center of attention as each of them was equipped with custom made armor and weapons. Just one of them would have stood out as they were equipped like a rank 6: Diamond adventurer. A group of 30 teenagers wearing something befitting of a rank 6 adventurer; was truly a spectacle. Elden had managed to convince all his classmates to participate. This way he would be able to watch and safeguard them. Still he was scared of the dungeon. Something might happen that even his skills couldn''t handle. ¡°Alright then, Let''s go!¡± cheered Paul from the front. He started walking through the dungeon door. Elden stood at the back, watching the rear. Using his incredible speed he could be at front in an instant. The Knight''s took a formation protecting their rear and flanks while setting the torches on. Elden held a small book he had acquired. It was a book that held information on each floor of this dungeon. The deepest level reached was level 56. For now their objective was reaching that deep and by that time they should be proficient enough in combat to take care of themselves. ¡°Hey, what you reading?¡± Ganesh started walking at Elden''s pace along with Michael. ¡°Well I''m trying to read this but it''s in this world''s language.¡± said Elden as he closed the book. They had automatically understood the words of this world but the writing and reading was something they were incapable of. The story has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation. ¡°Can I take a look?¡± asked Ganesh Elden raised an eyebrow questioning his friend. ¡°Me and Michael were in the library while you all trained,¡± explained Ganesh ¡°So I can more or less read the language.¡± Elden was stupefied. ¡°Hey isn''t that at the level of a genius to read this world''s language in less than a month!?¡± Ganesh opened up the small manual. ¡° Hmm? Not really. I mean a lot of us got unique skills. Mine being understanding which is at level 7.¡± Elden was deep in thought when they heard a girl''s scream from the front. This was still level 1 of the dungeon. Elden wasn''t expecting something big. However that one scream caused mass panic as most of the classmates started stampeding making it difficult for Elden to reach the front. He used another technique from his father''s book to instantly weave through his classmates. When he arrived several girls were in a panic while one of them was lying on the floor. In front of them a single rat the size of a dog. The front-line that was led by Paul and the strongest boys was nowhere to be seen. Taking his sword out thundercrack he easily killed the rat. The girls ran up to him petrified and held him like children would hold their fathers when frightened. ¡°Where''s Paul and the rest?¡± asked Eden One of the girls managed to control her fear and responded¡± They said we were to slow and walked ahead.¡± Damn it we have to stay in formation. The formation was simple. The strongest boys would be in the front while the magic casting girls would be in the middle, where they would be safe to cast their chants. The immediate rear was held up by the weaker boys who were there to keep the rear safe besides the knights. By staying together as a group Elden would be able to move to where he was most needed. ¡°Alright then girls, can you guys go to the back with the rest?. I''ll go find Paul and the rest.¡± He didn''t give them a moment to respond as he disappeared in a blur. It got easier and easier for him to adjust his techniques to this world. ¡°Hey Elden.¡± someone called out to him. It was three of the boys. John, Zachary and Jakob. ¡°Weren''t you guys at the front?¡± asked Elden ¡°Yyeah but Paul convinced everyone else to go forward and ditch everyone else.¡± said Zachary ¡°Well we did try convincing them not to but in the end it was just us 3.¡± said Jakob. ¡°Then you guys escort those girls to the back of the formation and stay there as a defensive line, I''ll go find those idiots.¡± ordered Elden as he ran forward. The three boys nodded and followed the group of frightened girls. ? He slowed down as he saw a trail of slime and rat corpses. It didn''t take long to catch up to the boys. They were having fun as they took down rats and slimes. He appeared in front of them arms crossed. ¡°Oy! Idiots.¡± Elden''s should long hair was moved by his own wind and revealed his eyes filled with anger. ¡°You¡¯re lucky this is only the first floor otherwise most of the girls would have died since our frontline moved on without the rest.¡± Most of the boys looked away ashamed however Paul went forward. ¡°Huh? So? Even if we''re not there, you are. Why can''t you protect them? We need the XP more than you.¡± ¡°Idiot, even with my higher level, I won¡¯t be able to protect two groups at once.¡± countered Elden. ¡°So then don¡¯t protect us and get out of our way.¡± Paul¡¯s hand approached the swords pommel. Elden laughed lightly ¡°You wanna fight? just keep in mind I¡¯m not holding back this time.¡± Hhe drew thundercrack and entered his stance. Together with the XP from killing goblins & Hnev; Elden¡¯s level was now at 30, while Paul¡¯s was still level 4. Even if Elden didn¡¯t use his techniques this contest of strength was over before it began. ? John, Riley and Jakob had gone ahead of the remaining classmates in order to scout and look for Elden and the other boys. The Dungeon was poorly lit and many times they jumped from fright after encountering other rookie adventurers. Level 1 of the dungeon and their formation had already been broken up. Although it was harder to organize a larger group, they were heroes right? They had to be above average. Riley led the way. Although she was a girl she would best be described as a violent tomboy. John and Jakob followed behind. It didn''t take long for them to find rookie adventurers gathering around another group of people. The trio looked at each other and nodded. They moved to investigate while pushing the crowd out of the way. "You wanna fight? just keep in mind I¡¯m not holding back this time.¡± They then watched as Elden and Paul both entered a basic sword stance . The chatter coming from the rookie adventurers instantly died down. And as if their silence was the round bell, Elden''s form had disappeared and reappeared right in front of Paul driving the pommel of his sword into Paul''s gut, making him double over . Paul''s forehead then made hard contact with Elden'' knee knocking him out. ¦¤ Two of the boys carried Paul¡¯s unconscious body and together everyone united with the rest of the classmates. Paul was slowly waking up while Elden and a small group of students seemed to be discussing something. ¡°We split up the class into groups and explore the dungeon separately.¡± said Ganesh. That was the solution he had come up with. It seemed impossible for the class to stay efficient in such a large group. Elden shook his head John stepped forward. "Look we balance out the teams ya¡¯know. Put some strong people with weaker people." ¡°No. I can¡¯t protect anyone like that.¡± argued Elden ¡°Hey man we aren¡¯t kids!¡± said Jakob ¡°Right you¡¯re not kids. It¡¯s why we''re here but I¡¯m not losing anyone,¡± Elden walked away from the discussion ¡°Not again.¡± Volume 2-3:Ogre Author''s Note: quick question guys. Volume 2 Chapter 3:Ogre
It took them an entire month, compared to the usual year it would have taken to get to the dungeon''s 10th level. To most average adventurers there was no merit going deeper than level 10. After all, most adventurers depended on this dungeon to survive day to day. So the items they''d get from creatures in the early levels were more than enough to live decently as a commoner. An entire gold coin could provide a month of bare necessities for an entire family of four. But there were always people who wanted more. In order to either prove themselves or get more money, fame, power and women; they would venture ever deeper into the dungeon. The lower one went, the rarer the items and creatures became. In an entire day of hunting in level 20 you''d earn a month''s worth of hunting in level 10. Elden led his classmates without a single loss or injury. Of course every day he''d return tired. Wherever it seemed like they were struggling, Elden would sweep in and take care of the problem. He knew he was spoiling them but they were normal students a few months ago. He couldn''t leave them alone to it. Up until that point they had only encountered Goblins. kobolds, rats, wolves. . .etc. They continued at a steady pace until Level 20 where they encountered their first boss of sorts. An ogre, according to the knights . The class had more or less kept their composure as they set up their formation. There were 30 of them against a single ogre. Even if it was their first boss, they couldn''t lose unless they broke formation and ran. Usually at about this point, Elden would swoop in and end the fight. However he was currently unconscious. Like a mother who never let her children out of sight. Elden handled everything and wouldn''t let the classmates get their hands dirty and so they hatched a plan. A few levels ago they had encountered creatures known as mushroom men. They looked like mushrooms the size of a child, and had a poison that made one faint if their spores were smelled or ingested. Thanks to the manual, the party avoided being affected by said spores. Withal if you took the head of a mushroom man and boiled it you could make a sinister concoction that was odorless and colorless, it could also be easily put into and concealed in food. It was sold illegally and used like a sedative howbeit some criminals would use it for nefarious purposes. And like rebellious children who wished to escape their parents grasp, the classmates agreed on using this date/rape drug. Some of the classmates didn''t feel right about the prank but felt it necessary. He had begun to get bags under his eyes and constantly yawned. His snoring became louder and sometimes sounded like the revving of an engine. They all took part of the plan for different reasons but the consensus had been reached. Elden needed a nap The plan was successful. While they camped for the night inside the dungeon they slipped in the sedative into his food. Why do I feel so tired? He felt fatigued, but to him who had spent days without sleep for the sake of training, it was something he could easily tolerate. He felt a lethargy he had never once experienced. Even after training for hours his eyelids had never felt heavier. The more he resisted the harder it was to stay awake. I''ll just rest my eyes for a bit ¡°Zzz.¡± Ganesh and Michael were put in charge of carrying Elden''s sleeping self while the class continued to advance, and that was when they finally encountered this Ogre boss. Paul led the classmates with his simple tactics. ¡°Guys! Surround him.¡± Ganesh and Michael put down Elden''s body which was surprisingly heavy. They, together with the girls, stood a bit a ways from the boys fighting the ogre. As Paul had put it:''Let us guys handle the boss.'' It was impossible to measure the level of the enemy but it was assumed that monsters pertained to the dungeon level. For example the rats in the first floor were all level 1 while the goblins on level 8 were on average level 8. Thus the (assumed) level 20 Ogre was pitted against 16 boys whose levels didn''t correlate with the level of the dungeon they were currently on. The highest leveled boy was Paul at a sad level 6. Elden had taken most of the xp since he was the one who killed all enemies while they explored the dungeon. In gaming terms¡ªElden¡ª would be a kill stealer.1 Most of the xp had gone to Elden for giving the end blow to the monsters. As there was no other way to keep track of levels ¡ªother than the status stone which was huge and held by the king¡ªthe teens were unaware that one only received xp when they gave the killing blow. No one else had informed them. The Ogre micrified them standing over 7ft tall with a disproportionate large head. Its skin seemed discolored while it had hues of green. Armed with a large stone club the boss felt no fear when it went up against the class. Level 20 was unnaturally stuffy and lined with stone walls.. The area where the ogre was at was a room slightly larger than a small atrium. This time Paul was wary and hesitated in going first. ¡°Attack!¡±, he yelled Most of the guys looked at Paul with faces that said ''huh why don''t you go first?'' However two people went forward, Keaton and Kaleb. They whose anger had dug deeper into their hearts after Elden had kept them in rein needed something to vent their anger on. Keaton and Kaleb came in from the the left and right, respectively. A simple yet effective flanking tactic against a lumbering target. By coming from two different directions, one of them was bound to lay down a strike on the opponent. What they didn¡¯t account for was the Ogre¡¯s swinging speed. They had entered the ogre¡¯s personal space and were within his range. The ogre swiped his club to the left impacting Keaton first and then Kaleb. The both of them were sent away, crashing into a nearby stone wall. This tale has been unlawfully lifted from Royal Road; report any instances of this story if found elsewhere. They ¡ªthe rest of the boys¡ªwho had stubbornly believed that Elden was overprotective couldn¡¯t run away at this point. The boys each went forward. A few managed to lands strikes on the ogre but it¡¯s skin and muscles made it resilient to light cuts. Their cuts were too shallow to cause any major damage. While the boys had a bout with the ogre, Paul began to prepare his strongest attack¡ªlightning strike¡ª which had proved useless against Hnev but it was the only attack at his disposal. Meanwhile Paul prepared his attack. John, Jakob and Zachary went forward in a three pronged attack. Aiming for the front and sides of the Ogre. Like before the ogre swung his club to the side, aiming to swipe away the three of them in one swing. The three friends had watched the encounter between Keaton and Kalbe and were wary of the same moves. Zach and Jakob easily sidestepped out of the way of the club and John, who had taken the front, crouched down dodging the club and continuing forward. He jumped and pulled back his sword to the side ready to stab it in the ogre¡¯s eyes. In mid-air he released his sword and aimed the point into the ogre''s eyes. The ogre though saw through John¡¯s ply and simply moved his head avoiding the fatal stab and chomped down on John¡¯s shoulder. John screamed as his armor had failed failed to protect against the ogre¡¯s eye teeth.2Nevertheless even a small injury was fatal as this world had yet to produce any antibiotics and ogres tended not to care about dental hygiene. ¡°Let go of him!¡± yelled Jakob as he came closer bringing up his sword. The ogre ¡ªwhile still holding john up by the mouth¡ªswung its club barely missing Jakob who jumped out of the way. Meanwhile Zachary stood away unable to think of a solution to the ogre. He turned to look at Elden who was sleeping next to the girls. A few of the injured guys had made it too the girls to be given healing magic. Riley seemed to be acting as a vanguard as she held a sword and watched the battle with the ogre. Damn it he¡¯s still asleep. Why did I go along with that stupid plan. Oh that¡¯s right we still have the knights. That¡¯s right we convinced them to return with all the item drops because the luggage had gotten heavier. He looked around at the environment. Hnng, no deaths yet but at this rate. ¡°You mother¡.¡± John struggled to say something while still trapped by the ogre¡¯s mouth. ¡°MOTHERFUCKER!¡± he raised his left arm and pressed his thumb into the ogre¡¯s eye. ¡°AHHH!¡± the ogre screamed, letting go of John as he fell to the floor. Enraged, the ogre, while holding one arm over his eye lifted his right foot. The ogre released extreme killing intent as he intended to squash John under his foot. Elden¡¯s eyes opened quickly and he disappeared. Michael and Ganesh were astonished as they heard a crash. Elden leaned against the ogre¡¯s broad chest. His sheathed sword thundercrack was holding up the ogre¡¯s foot. He patted the wall he felt in front of him. Drool still clung to his chin as his head tilted upwards. He was now somewhat awake. The ogre roared onto Elden¡¯s face riddling him with foul breath and saliva. ¡°I¡¯m gonna go out on a limb here and say this probably isn¡¯t a dream huh?¡± Elden asked the ogre. Paul smiled as his preparations were complete. He ignored the fact that John and Elden might get hurt by his attack and released his lightning strike. Thundercrack, John and Elden disappeared and reappeared next to the girls ¡ªwho were busy chanting their healing spells on the other boys¡ª while Paul¡¯s lighting strike tore into the ogre causing significant damage for the first time. ¡°John!¡± Riley ran up to john who had been put on the floor by Elden. ¡°Hey Riley, I¡¯m kinda hurt so heal me up will ya?¡± ¡°Oh, uh uhm I forgot the chant for the healing spell.¡± ¡°.........¡± ¡°Useless as ever huh Riley.¡± ¡°Sha.. shut up I can still kick your ass at swordfighting!¡± ¡°Well unless your sword heals me with every hit, no thank you.¡± While Riley and John continued their discussion Elden yawned Man I¡¯m tired. His droopy face soon closed it¡¯s eyelids while he stood. ¡°Oi! Elden you¡¯re not going to sleep are you!?¡± asked John noticing that Elden was starting to sleep while standing up. Elden snorted ¡°Huh?¡± he shook his head ¡°No I was just...I¡¯m sure Paul¡¯s attack killed it.¡± ¡°ROOOOOOO ARRRRR!!!¡± All of Paul¡¯s energy had gone into that one attack but it had failed to end the fight in one critical strike. Even more a low-leveled human such as Paul to cause such major damage was already a large achievement. Even with a large gash across its shoulder, the ogre, stepped forward with an even larger killing intent emanating from him. ¡°Or not...I guess.¡± The Ogre grabbed Paul and threw him at the nearest stone wall. The stone wall caved in swallowing Paul. Its fury filled eyes then turned to the golden haired boy. It began to run towards him ,halfway to his objective it stopped and its right arm was gone, falling to the stone floor with a thud. ¡°Thanks to Paul it was easier to cut it off huh.¡± Turning it¡¯s head¡ªthe ogre¡ªlooked behind himself, blood squirting out from its missing limb. The golden haired stood behind him yawning. ¦¤ ¡°It¡¯s mine.¡± Paul stood in front of the chest, protecting it like a madman. His arm resting on the pommel of his sword. ¡°I thought we agreed on sharing all the spoils of war?¡± asked Elden ¡°I got thrown into a stone wall. A stone FUCKING wall!¡± yelled Paul The wall Paul¡¯s body crushed revealed a hidden room of sorts with a chest filled with silver and other small trinkets and oddities. ¡°Hey man shrek¡¯s body isn¡¯t worth anything. If anything the only reward we got for having our asses kicked, is this chest.¡± argued Zachary. ¡°Let him have it.¡± said Elden ¡°Elden come on¡ª¡± John stopped when he looked at Elden¡¯s stare ¡°None of you have the right to refuse after your ¡®little¡¯ prank. anyways since it¡¯s his he¡¯ll have to carry the chest all by himself.¡± Elden walked away ¡°eh?¡± Paul stood there dumbfounded as everyone else also dispersed.
[1]Kill stealers is a gaming term for Someone in a multiplayer video game who waits for someone to weaken their enemy and kills them last second so instead of the person who did all the work getting credit the the person who stole gets it. Volume 2-Chapter 4:Lucky
Volume 2-4 ¡°So what now?¡± The king of Kovolava who had summoned the heroes, sat in his study. ¡°They''ve decided to take a week long break after the ogre on level 20.¡± Markusy said while crouched on one knee. The king pushed the chair back and stood up,turning towards the window behind him. ¡°Have they figured it out?¡± asked the king while rubbing his chin. ¡°About the levels and XP?¡± Markusy shook his head ¡°I don''t believe they have, your majesty.¡± ¡°Hmm... Good. Good¡± The king continued to nod. ¡°Then you convinced him Mark?¡± Markusy stood up. Being called by his nickname that only those close enough called him, Markusy knew the king was now speaking to him as the old friends they were. ¡°Well I didn''t really need to, sir. All he needed was a little push. He has a strong sense of justice.¡± The king nodded as Markusy continued. ¡°But is this really the right thing to do?¡± Making all the xp go to him.¡± The king looked at Markusy ¡°Rather than having a group of low-leveled heroes, I¡¯d prefer one peerless warrior.¡± Markusy seemed unsure ¡°Besides we¡¯re running out of time. We need only level up one sword instead of getting 30 little daggers.¡± ¡°I think I understand, your majesty.¡± The king smiled. ¡° It also seems my daughter has taken a fancy to him. If his fame rises enough it¡¯ll shut up all the other nobles who want their sons to be her fiance.¡± ¡°What!? to make someone without any lineage into a king!¡± argued Markusy. ¡°Relax. His looks are on par with any noble son. All houses were at one point normal as well. And I have no plans on making him king. I plan to live until I¡¯m 60 ya¡¯know. Most likely my daughter¡¯s son will end up as king.¡± The king''s eyes looked out the window imagining the future. ¡°With him, the Demons will pay.¡± ¦¤ ¡°Achoo!¡± Elden sneezed and wiped his nose. ¡°You ok?¡± asked Michael next to him. ¡°Yeah I¡¯m fine.¡± They stood in the middle of the bazaar. Hundreds of markets and stalls each with it¡¯s own vendors trying to sell more than the vendor next to them. From clothes, spices, herbs etc. Most anything could be bought here. Each student had been given a percentage of the loot earned plus a little something from the kingdom. The treasure chest found by Paul in the hidden room was shared up between Paul and some classmates who helped him carry it. ¡°Are you sure we can¡¯t go with Paul and the rest to that restaurant?¡± asked Michael Paul ,boasting of his riches, had invited the entire class to an expensive dinner known to be visited by nobles and the wealthy. Currently everyone except Elden and Michael were enjoying the extravagant dinner. ¡°You can go, if you want.¡± said Elden as he browsed the stalls. He himself had been eating extravagant dinners nearly every day. He looked down at his coin pouch. Taking great care in avoiding Michael''s stare. He had been given more than a little compared to everyone else. He was sure he had just as much money as Paul who had found the treasure chest. It¡¯s not like he hid this fact from his classmates out of guilt. He had earned this himself with sweat and blood. Nothing wrong with him getting more money. He was doing much of the work afterall. ¡°No... I¡¯ll stay with you. I wouldn¡¯t feel welcomed over there.¡± said Michael as they walked through stalls. The both of them didn¡¯t want for much. They had everything they needed provided to them. The best armor and swords. They were each provided with one health potion. Health potions were humongously expensive. It took the income of an entire year from a middle ranked noble family. In conclusion, Michael and Elden had bought nothing so far. Michael was playing with the single gold coin between his fingers when he was bumped into. He ignored it and continued to play with the gold coin, only this time his gold coin was missing. ¡°My gold coin¡ª¡± Reacting quickly enough Eden tripped the would be thief and held him down to the floor, accompanied with a quickdraw, cold metal steel was placed next to the thief¡¯s throat. ¡°Ahg, Let go of me!¡± The thief struggled as Michael caught up to Elden. Elden turned the thief right-side up, sword aimed at his throat. The thief¡¯s age was about a high school freshman¡¯s age. ¡°Don¡¯t you know. Stealing is wrong.¡± Elden said ¡°Maybe it is but I¡¯ve got mouths to feed.¡± The young thief looked at Elden ¡°Having a reason doesn¡¯t make it right.¡± he replied ¡°What the fuck would a noble pampered pup like you know!¡± The young man spit at Elden¡ªElden easily dodged it¡ª and the sword inched closer to the thief¡¯s neck. ¡°This pampered pup has a sword at your throat.¡± warned Elden ¡°Ha! I bet you¡¯ve never seen a dead body.¡± Elden lifted up his sword and prepared to swing down ¡°Whoa lighten up Elden!¡± Michael interjected ¡°I was just gonna give him a small scare.¡± Elden lifted up the thief easily, intending to take him to the authorities. ¡°Hey Elden just let him go man. The guy was just trying to feed his sisters and brothers.¡± Michael argued as he stepped in front of Elden. ¡°Doesn¡¯t matter.¡± ¡°Elden¡ª¡± ¡°Michael,¡± Eden interrupted Michael ¡° I¡¯ve known hunger. My father used to train me for days without any food. I¡¯ve known desire and hunger! but I¡¯ve never broken the law. My father made that very clear.¡± Michael sighed unable to argue ¡°Ok then do it as a favor to me Elden.¡± Elden stared at Michael for half a second and said ¡°Fine.¡± ¡°Keep the gold coin and go.¡± Michael told the now released thief. The thief tried to say something and looked at Elden. He then nodded and left. Michael stared at the thief who ran and disappeared into the bazaar in less than three seconds. Turning around Michael noticed Elden had already started walking away; he hurried up to his friend. They walked into a small plaza where Elden bought two skewers with meat.Eating them both at the same time¡ªMichael stuttered¡ªand Elden finished them quickly. Realising he had given his only funds away,Michael cursed himself. ¡°Boohoo.¡± Michael pretended to cry. Elden raised an eyebrow inquisitively. ¡°I have no money to feed myself. Boo hoo.¡± Michael continued his act. ¡°Well you did give it to him...¡± Elden remarked. Michael continued his play until Elden sighed and bought another skewer of roasted meat. He then stuck his arm out intending to hand it over to Michael. ¡°Here.¡± Michael sniffled as he grabbed the meat on a stick. Enjoying the story? Show your support by reading it on the official site. While the both of them were continuing this scene people began to step on top of a small wooden stage placed near the center of the plaza. The people lined up were chained and dressed in rags. ¡°Step right up Ladies and gentlemen. I''ve got cheap slaves here just eager to meet their new masters!¡± Said a slave merchant as he began to sell his merchandise. People began to crowd around , eager to catch a glimpse of the slaves. Dramatically, Elden slowly turned his head. His eyes opened wide with the scene of injustice displayed so openly. He began to strut towards the stage¡ª His arm on his sword''s pommel; ready to draw¡ªbut as he began to draw his sword, his hand was stopped. ¡°What¡¯d you think you¡¯re doing?¡± Asked Michael holding down Elden¡¯s hand which was grabbing ThunderCrack¡¯s pommel. ¡°Slavery is wrong.¡± Said Elden ¡°Yeah it is. So what were you about to do?¡± Asked Michael as he stared at Elden. ¡°I was going to stop it.¡± Answered Elden ¡°You can''t just start cutting people down, Elden¡± ¡°I wasn''t going to. The sword was just for intimidation.¡± ¡°You can''t do that.¡± Argued Michael. ¡°Slavery is wrong! Michael!¡± ¡°It''s wrong to us,yes, but not to them!¡± Michael matched Elden¡¯s raised voice. ¡°Then let me show them the error of their ways.¡± ¡°and what!? Were you going to enforce your superior views?I don¡¯t think you understand. This isn¡¯t our world.¡± Michael pushed back Elden. ¡°You think you¡¯re above them?¡± ¡°I am above them!¡± ¡°Ohohoho there it is! you think you¡¯re superior to all of us!?¡± Michael kept pushing Elden back until they entered a small alleyway; away from the people¡¯s eyes and ears. ¡°You know that¡¯s not what I meant.¡± Elden lowered his head and voice. ¡°And what did you mean?¡± Michael lowered his voice as well. ¡°Slavery is wrong.¡± Elden repeated. ¡°You sound like a broken record...Look you want to stop slavery yeah?¡± asked Michael. ¡°Ofcourse.¡± ¡°Then you start at the top. Talk to the king, you know?¡± Elden sighed. ¡°We cool?¡± asked Michael ¡°Yeah. we¡¯re cool.¡± ¡°Kewl.¡± Michael responded They walked back into the plaza. The slave merchant¡¯s line-up of merchandise seemed to be of rather low quality. They were in a sense; bargain slaves. All the slaves being shown were either drunkards or criminals of sorts. They were being sold for a couple of silvers to shady looking people. The slaves here had no rights. They were no different from cows or pigs. If you sliced the neck of your own slave; the patrolling guards would just ask you not to do it on the street. The fact that they were men and lowlives at that helped Elden relax. That was at least until the merchant took out the main attraction. She was dressed in an old dress that was a few sizes too small. It was probably meant for a little girl but it still somewhat fit her frail and thin body. Unlike the other slaves being sold who were dirty and grimy she had been wiped clean but the malnutrition made her look quite unappealing. The asking price was 10 silvers but the price was easily raised as it started a bidding war. Elden watched as the asking price had been raised to a single gold coin. No one seemed to want to waste a gold coin on this girl except for that man. He seemed proud as his eyes licked her over. ¡°Damn it I gave my one gold coin away.¡± Michael was biting down on his fist in frustration. Elden turned to look at him ¡°I was joking...probably.¡± responded Michael. Elden looked away. I¡¯m sorry His vision fell on his coin pouch. He had more than enough money but coming back to his classmates with a slave. Not to mention the questions they¡¯d ask him.The image of his father came to mind. He wasn¡¯t going to be like his father. A hero would sweep in and save the damsel in distress. He slightly crouched down while placing his right hand on the pommel of ThunderCrack; ready to explode forward. Then again maybe Michael had a point. Forcing his own laws on to the people of this world. Was that the right thing to do. He sighed. ¡°Fuck it.¡± The merchant¡¯s voice rose ¡° 1 gold coin! going once!Going twice¡ª¡± ¡°I¡¯ll pay 2 gold coins!¡± Elden interrupted as he lifted his hand. ¡°Tch,¡± The man who had almost won the bid for the girl clicked his tongue. Noticing Elden¡¯s blonde shoulder long hair and green eyes, He gave up on bidding any higher. What¡¯s a fockin noble buying slaves outside of a slave house!? The girl¡¯s eyes were filled with relief but they were also wary. Suspicious of her new master. She knew looks didn¡¯t define a person¡¯s character. The slave merchant handed Elden a deed after receiving his 2 gold coins. Unlike a slave house where a slave contract was established with magic, any slaves sold outside a slave house were not bound under magic. The three of them¡ªMichael,Elden and his newly bought slave¡ª began to walk away from the plaza in silence. ¡°Uhm I¡¯m Michael. I¡¯m your master¡¯s best friend.¡± He broke the silence and began to introduce himself to the girl. Michael had years of experience talking to girls. He had conquered many routes. One has to understand that Michael''s experience was from games. ¡°It¡¯s nice to meet you Mr.Michael. My...this one''s name is Felka.¡± She seemed to remember something and took a slight bow towards Michael. ¡°It¡¯s fine if you don¡¯t refer to yourself in third person.¡± Michael suggested. Felka turned to look at Elden¡ª who was walking ahead¡ª seemingly trying to judge if he¡¯d be ok with that. The slave handler had taught her that some masters didn¡¯t mind if you refered to yourself in first person but most others preferred the slaves to not think that they are people and thus always made it punishable to speak as an I. Slaves were an it afterall. Noticing her stare Michael turned to Eden ¡°Right!? Elden?¡± ¡°She is a person, after all.¡± he said as his back was facing them. ¡°See? I told you it¡¯s fine.¡± She nodded ¡°Ah right then. This grouchy guy A.K.A your master¡¯s name is Elden. Elden Mitchell.¡± introduced Michael. ¡°Um it¡¯s a pleasure to serve you master Mitchell.¡± Elden continued to walk down the corridor of stalls, seemingly ignoring her. They stopped at a small stall that was selling bowls of vegetable soup. Elden ordered one and gave the wooden bowl and similarly wooden spoon over to Felka. ¡°You must be hungry.¡± Elden didn''t have to tell her twice before she began to eat. She ate in small quick movements as if someone were trying to take it from her. Elden left Michael and Felka ,coming back as she was finishing up the soup. He handed her a simple white shirt with leather pants. The standard base wear for an adventurer. ¡°Nuuuuu!¡± Michael took away the clothes before Felka could react. ¡°You have have no sense of fashion,Elden.¡± To Elden ,Michael was anything but fashionable. ¡°We can do better¡ Plus I¡¯m sure you have enough money.¡± Michael said as he looked at Elden. Michael grabbed Felka¡¯s hand and started speeding up and led her away, while Elden followed. Elden was unsure as to how Michael knew the location to a Tailor¡¯s shop. Volume 2-4.5: Felka Author''s Note : Whether or not the MC is liked or not. I think it''s fine as long as the story is enjoyed. I''d like it if people stuck around until volume 3 of this first draft though. Another chapter to the morrow? Still not BL... Volume 2-5: Felka
She was afraid as they began to enter the dungeon. She had lived in a small village most her life. Always hungry; always working. Most girls her age had already been married off, but sadly, she wasn¡¯t the prettiest girl in the village, and with most young men drafted by the kingdom to fight the demons; there was a shortage of bachelors. So her father¡ªtired of having to feed her¡ª sold her. There had been tears with her mother and siblings but nothing could be done about her departure. She was property now and maybe if she was lucky, She¡¯d find a nice master. She tried to look on the bright side of things. Yes, this was an adventure, just like the stories the village elder used to tell at storytime when she was a little girl. Her mother had told her that slaves were fed every day. That wasn¡¯t necessarily a lie. A single piece of rye bread for two people every day. She had been partnered with another slave¡ªan old lady who had been sold by her children¡ª the only other women in the convoy to the nearest city. They shared half the bread everyday along with a bucket of water that could be used to drink from or wash yourself. On the road to Zalarmesto, the old lady and her began to talk. The old lady, Andreada, had been a maid from when she was in her teens. She served a small time noble for the entirety of her career. She married, had kids, and continued to work in the noble¡¯s villa. Eventually she reached the position of head maid, and was able to retire with a small amount of savings. ¡°And then?¡± asked Felka. ¡°Well retirement went well for a few years until my husband''s death¡± The old lady seemed to be reminiscing as her eyes stopped looking at Felka.¡±Afterwards I spent my days with my family,¡± She stared at Felka ¡°Until those damn demons attacked.¡± said Andreada with a small frown on her face. Less than a year ago¡ª at the city of Lendux¡ª The crown Prince of Kovolava had been visiting. It would suffice to say that the city became known for being where the crown Prince¡¯s body was buried. The greatest disaster the country had witnessed after the separation of the church. There are many rumors as to what happened. The official report was that while the Crown Prince was visiting the city. The demons took the opportunity to take the down the only male heir. The largest rumor being that the prince was in the city to have a meeting with the demons. In any case the fact that the crown prince had died was irrefutable. ¡°My grand children were recruited for the cause, but we haven¡¯t heard word from them in months. The money they used to send stopped coming in, and with price of food starting to rise¡.¡± Felka knew about that. Everyone had been affected by the war one way or another. Her brothers were too young to fight but the price of bread more than doubled. Her father was too old to serve and Felka had no memories of ever seeing him work. Her mother worked though always coming home after everyone had been asleep. The money was always given to her father who would rarely spend it on anything other than ale. ¡°In the end I chose to be sold. I''ve already lived my life.At Least this way my younger grandchildren can eat for a few more days.¡± After that Felka never saw the Granny again. In the forest surrounded by wolves the slave merchant decided to give the wolves some fresh meat as a sort of appeasement. The slave merchant was just starting out and was unable to afford bodyguards. It was just him and the slave handler. As the granny was thrown to the wolves, The Slave merchant drove off in his carriage that was pulling the cages. The cages were always covered with cloth so Felka was unable to see what happened but she heard it. She was scared. She had never seen any dangerous creatures besides a boar that had entered the village once. In the end, the rest of the trip to the city was lonely and uneventful. Her first city, and she was unable to see it until she was on top of that wooden stage being sold. As soon as people started bidding she ignored it. She could tell this was a marketplace but it was so large and filled with people. She wondered how people even managed to walk while the crowd formed around the stage. She was pulled out of her sightseeing daydream when she felt a horrible stare. A man was looking at her. He was a man that scared her. His face wasn''t ugly but his stare revealed his ugly personality which made him look uglier than he was. She wasn''t a child; she knew what happened between a man and a girl. Her mother had told her: men were the swords while women their sheaths. ¡°One gold coin going once!¡± Screamed the slave merchant. This was it. She was gonna be with that man. She knew her first man wouldn''t be handsome and she was fine with that. She was expecting her first man to be her husband though, not losing it to someone who had bought her as a slave. She nearly wanted to cry until ¡° I''ll pay two gold coins!¡± She heard someone call out. It was a boy around her age. He was pretty to her. The blonde hair that was nestled at his shoulders. The green eyes that looked greener than the wild countryside she had grown up in. He could be mistaken for a girl if he stayed quiet and changed his mannerisms but he stood tall and confident. It was all like a story from her childhood. A princess meeting her prince. She''d be lying if she said she wasn''t happy. If it was this person; It was fine if she was his slave but contrary to the stories, he didn''t treat her like a princess. ¡°Uhm I¡¯m Michael. I¡¯m your master¡¯s best friend.¡± She finally took note of the other boy accompanying her new master. He was half-a-head shorter than her master. And while his face couldn''t be called good looking it wasn''t atrocious. He seemed likes one of the present farmers from her village. Only he was well fed. ¡°It¡¯s nice to meet you Mr.Michael.¡± She remembered what the slave handler had taught her ¡° My...this one''s name is Felka.¡± ¡°It¡¯s fine if you don¡¯t refer to yourself in third person.¡± Mr.Michael said. It was strange calling someone near her age mister but she determined that she had to get used to it. She looked at her master to see if it was alright to follow Michael''s advice. ¡°Right!? Elden?¡± Michael asked her master what she was too afraid to ask. ¡°She is a person, after all.¡± Her master said seemingly approving. Michael turned to her.¡°See? I told you it¡¯s fine.¡± and she nodded. ¡°Ah right then. This grouchy guy A.K.A¡± AKA? She was not sure what that meant ¡°your master¡¯s name is Elden. Elden Mitchell.¡± But she now knew her master''s name. Elden Mitchell. So he was a noble afterall This narrative has been purloined without the author''s approval. Report any appearances on Amazon.¡°Um it¡¯s a pleasure to serve you master Mitchell.¡± Lady Felka of house Mitchell She had a passing thought as she was handed a bowl. ¡°You must be hungry.¡± She was. Eating the bowl of soup she didn''t even savor it. After two weeks of nothing but bread and water she was extremely happy rating something else. While she ate her master disappeared and left her with Michael. She herself hadn''t noticed as she was too busy eating. When she had finally finished, she noticed her master walking towards her while holding clothes. She looked down at the clothes she had been wearing. It wasn''t even hers. It had been given to her and forced to wear it by the slave merchant. As she was about to take the clothes, they were taken from her master¡¯s hands. ¡°Nuuuuu!¡± She was startled by Michael''s scream.¡°You have have no sense of fashion,Elden.¡± Her master arched one eyebrow. ¡°We can do better¡ Plus I¡¯m sure you have enough money.¡± Michael said as he looked at Elden. Michael grabbed her hand and led her to a tailor''s shop. ? She was measured by the tailor. ¡°I can have it ready by today if you pay extra?¡± The tailor asked Michael. ¡°Yep, we¡¯ll pay.¡± From then until the dress was ready. Felka had worn multiple clothes. Michael kept making her wear several things. He had even picked out pyjamas and underwear for her to use. This world however hadn''t made the bras which greatly disappointed Michael. What Michael had called her ¡°work uniform¡± was finally done. It was a maid uniform but unlike the normal ones that reached down to the ankles. This one had been shortened to just above her knees. She didn''t feel good in it. Her legs were too thin to show around like that. Elden paid for all of it. She ended up with more clothes than she had ever worn in her lifetime. An underwear for each day of the week, Michael had insisted. Her master ended up carrying the clothes as they walked back to the inn. An entire inn had been rented out for the classmates and accompanying knights. ¡°Ah Elden you''re finally back.¡± Said Bedro ¡ªThe second-in-command of the knights after Markusy. Markusy had gone to report to the king thus leaving Bedro in charge. ¡°That''s right.¡± ¡°The both of you were the last to arrive. We were beginning to worry.¡± Bedro chuckled. ¡°We''ll be going to our rooms then.¡± ¡°Ah wait!¡± Bedro stopped them. ¡°Who''s your friend?¡± ¡°She''s my new maid.¡± Elden said. ¡°Ah,well I don''t know if she¡ª¡± ¡°Is there a problem?¡± Elden interrupted. Bedro shook his head. He had been ordered to treat Elden with the utmost respect and care. ¡°Then as I said earlier. We''ll be going now.¡± Elden and Michael led the way upstairs as Felka followed. ¡°Right then, this is my stop.¡± Michael said to Elden. ¡° goodnight Felka, see ya tomorrow. ¡° He then went off to the room he was sharing with Ganesh. Although the inn was large, there weren¡¯t enough rooms for everyone to be by themselves. And so the rooms were shared by pairs. However since there was an odd number of boys, Elden had ended up in a room all by himself. He walked to the end of the hallway and opened the door with a key. It wasn''t a luxurious room but it had basic necessities since the inn was aimed at merchants. ¡°I''ll sleep on that bed,¡± Elden pointed while he dropped down Felka¡¯s bundles if new clothes. There were two separate beds for each of them. It was rather convenient that Elden had ended up in a room by himself. ¡°And you can sleep on the other.¡± Elden began to undress himself until he was left with a shirt and his boxers. Felka stood there. ¡°Oh right. I''ll wait outside so you can wear your PJ¡¯s.¡± Elden stepped out of the room and closed the door. He waited for a while until he heard her across the door. ¡°I¡¯m dressed now,Master.¡± He entered the room and saw felka dressed in a long thin dress. He had expected Michael to buy her something like negligee for sleepwear. Elden was both happy and disappointed Michael had chosen something so normal for Felka. He shook his head to dispel thoughts most boys his age shared. ¡°Anyways, tomorrow morning we¡¯ll be going to the dungeon so make sure to get some rest.¡± ¦¤ And now back to the present, Felka followed behind her master as they stepped on a platform with inscriptions on the floor. This was a teleportation portal that would take you to anywhere from level one to the most recent cleared dungeon. In order to access other levels, the receiving teleportation platform had to be activated manually. They acted in a way similar to save points. The teleportation platform sent them to floor 21, where Elden¡¯s classmates awaited him. while his classmates left early and in a single group escorted by knights to the dungeon. Elden was given the privilege of being escorted by Bedro to the rendezvous point. The teleportation finished and Elden walked forward to his classmates. ¡°Whoa! who¡¯s the scrawny maid!?¡± asked Jakob as he pulled away from the rest of the classmates towards Elden. ¡°Yeah, she¡¯s my new personal maid.¡± responded Elden as Felka bowed and introduced herself. ¡° A pleasure to meet you. I¡¯m Felka. Master¡¯s personal Maid.¡± ¡°Did she just say Master?¡± asked Zachary. ¡° That''s hot.¡± quipped John as he smiled, only to receive a punch on the head from Riley. ¡°Ouch, I was kidding Riley.¡± The redheaded Riley turned her head ignoring her long-time friend John. Even the maids back at the castle never referred to them as master but rather always as my lord or my lady depending on which gender they were addressing. ¡°Hey! What the hell!?¡± Isaac ¡ªthe class bully¡ª pushed his way to the front. ¡°Why does he get a maid!?¡± he complained to Bedro the Knight. ¡°Uhm that¡¯s because uhm¡ª¡± Bedro was unsure of what to say. Back at the castle they each had been assigned two maids. Although they had to leave them at the castle as they were unable to bring maids with them to the dungeon. ¡°Hah!? isn¡¯t it obvious.¡± Michael spoke out. Isaac turned around. ¡°What¡¯s obvious!?¡±. Michael smiled ¡°Well isn¡¯t obvious? Elden¡¯s the Alpha ya¡¯know. The top dog. It¡¯s only natural he gets a few perks.¡± ¡°Ya lookin for an asswhoopin?¡± Isaac took a step towards Michael who inched himself closer to Elden. ¡°Yeah, hide behind your little boyfriend.¡± Elden took a step forward as if covering Michael.Isaac noticing Elden¡¯s movements backed off slightly. ¡°I kicked your ass before and I can do it again now.¡± Elden threatened. ¡°Hmph.¡± Isaac turned around towards Bedro. ¡°I¡¯m not helping then until I get a maid too.¡± Isaac started walking away while beckoning his goons. ¡°Ah come on. Don¡¯t act like a spoiled brat!¡± Jakob called out to Isaac. Isaac and his goons began to walk away while Bedro ordered a knight to escort them back to the inn. Elden also began to walk away. The classmates looked back at Isaac and then went and followed Elden. Some of the classmates started asking Felka questions as they walked deeper into the darkness. And so the classmates set off to conquer the 21st dungeon floor Volume 2-5: Into the abyss Author¡¯s Note: I know I have other stories but I want to get to a certain part in the story for this one first until I can come back to those. Volume 2-5
The Golem was large reaching over seven feet and while slow and easy to avoid¡ªat least for Elden¡ªit wasn''t harmed by any conventional methods. No matter how many times Elden struck it with his sword, the Golem''s medal armor would reflect it. He was using a sword that¡ªalthough an enchanted treasure from the royal family¡ª was still in the end, made of metal. Elden began to pick up his speed. Maybe if I just hit it with more speed and power. His person began to blur but even with his increased speed and relative power it only amounted to small metal shavings falling to the ground. He ran and jumped vertically in the blink of an eye. He began to spin clockwise while falling and with gravity''s help he fell towards the golem spinning like sonic the hedgehog. As the sword made contact with the golem,Elden released ThunderCrack¡¯s signature enchanted move¡ªShockwave¡ªbut the golem was unhurt and although blown back a bit, thanks to its strong low center of gravity, it didn''t even tip over. Tch That was Elden¡¯s only finishing or special attack. Even after incorporating magic into his swordsmanship to increase his speed to near superhuman levels, his swordsmanship was still designed for situations on earth. There was no magic on earth after all. He glanced back to his classmates. ¡®Step away. I''ll handle this.¡¯ He had said earlier when they encountered the Metal Golem on the 21st floor. He had sounded so cool but to go back unable to actually take care of the golem. Maybe he should ask for help. No! His pride wouldn''t allow it. And besides if he can barely scratch the Golem;there was no way his classmates could do any better. Only I can do this! With renewed vigor Elden went on the attack again. His stamina had increased after going through twenty dungeon floors. Not just that,he had felt all his basic stats increase. Yet still he began to feel himself reaching his limits especially using his speed that made him a blur. Calm down. 1.Observe your environment and surroundings Elden looked at the area he was fighting in. It was no different than other boss rooms. A big large room as large as his school''s gymnasium. Made of stone and underground. Using the environment to crush the golem was out of the question. Even if he led it into a tighter area, Elden had no real explosive power that could make the ceiling come crashing down on the golem. 2.Observe your opponent Elden turned back to the golem. Like previously saidm, it was large. It''s humanoid shape was made of thick metal. It was a dark metal. He had tried tipping it over our Elden lacked overwhelming power and force to tip something that heavy over. ???? Elden noticed an inscription on the golem¡¯s forehead. Right what do I know about golems? They''re Hebrew or something. I think. Oh man that''s all I can remember. He looked towards two of his friends¡ªGanesh and Michael¡ª who he thought would know something. Both of them tended to read a lot. Although what Michael read was anything but educational, it did help him have a grasp of this fantasy themed world. And Ganesh being the smartest guy Elden knew. At least academically smart. In other words golems are like robots? And to stop robots you go after their joints. The sword stabbed into the golem¡¯s joints but it hit nothing. The golem was hollow. It did not have veins or electrical wiring. Damn it it has no weak spots! First of all I¡¯m thinking science fiction when I should be thinking fantasy. I can¡¯t short circuit the golem with water since it has no actual circuits. So then how does it move? magic ,and magic can be stopped by? Something like? arg what did Michael used to say. Magic corp. Magic Corn? Magic core! that¡¯s it! The magic core in monsters¡ªwhich gave life to the monsters¡ª,according to Michael¡¯s stories, was placed inside at the center. The only problem with that solution was Elden was unable to pierce the golem¡¯s armor. So much for that plan! The golem continued its attack;pushing Elden backwards towards the wall. Elden felt the wall on his back. This being his first time being pushed to the edge;Elden panicked. A moment''s hesitation and the golem''s fist was near inches from his face. Elden ducked in the nick of time, the golem¡¯s fist crushed the wall. Turning back and glancing at the stone wall, Elden¡¯s eyes opened wide and he gulped. The author''s narrative has been misappropriated; report any instances of this story on Amazon. ¡°Arhg!¡± Elden grunted unable to come up with a solution. His muscles were starting to tell him. He was tired and very soon he¡¯d reach his limit. He couldn¡¯t apply his world logic to this problem. He recalled that the girls had been taught magic. And he himself used magic in his sword style. So then why didn¡¯t they learn any attacks spells? As he recalled the girls were only taught recovery magic. The boys were only trained in swords and shields. He began to think. Why weren¡¯t we boys taught magic? and second of all¡ª ¡°ELDEN!¡± a scream brought Elden back to the present. He couldn¡¯t afford to think of anything that wasn¡¯t a way to defeat this golem. ¡°Destroy the X-looking letter on it¡¯s forehead!¡± Ganesh and Michael started screaming the same thing. The X? One of the characters on the inscriptions, placed on the golem¡¯s forehead, looked similar to an X. He didn¡¯t really understand but he started to concentrate his attacks on the X-looking character. X marks the spot! After several hits,Elden had managed to scratch off the X-looking character and the golem fell to the ground as if the puppet strings had been cut. On his knees,Elden¡¯s mouth opened and closed;taking in big breaths of air. He started to regulate his breathing. Intaking oxygen through his nose and exhaling through his mouth Elden turned to his approaching friends. ¡°How¡¯d¡¡¡¡. you guys¡... know?¡± he said in-between breaths. ¡°I read it in a book.¡± ¡° I saw it in an anime.¡± said Ganesh and Michael ,respectively at the same time. ¡°Well anyways that really saved my ass.¡± Elden thanked his friends. He stood up now looking like normal. In truth it was all a front. His muscles screamed pained and barely holding him up. He wanted to fall on the floor and sleep. For a really long time but, He was cool and composed. A monster of this level was nothing to him who was so strong. So he pushed his body further to keep up the facade. He turned to look at his friends and classmates only to see them trying to push each other out of the way as they ran to the stone wall with a giant hole;which had been made by the golem¡¯s earlier punch, ¡ª Elden walked towards them. Felka followed behind him keeping her distance, but always within earshot, In order to receive any commands from her master. ¡°Uhm...What are you guys doing?¡± Most of the classmates turned around with expressions that screamed ¡°Isn¡¯t it obvious!?¡± ¡°R-ra-right...nevermind then.¡± Elden was slightly spooked and dropped the subject. Michael stood next to Elden. ¡°Don''t you remember the last time a wall was breached?¡± he asked Elden, who raised an eyebrow at Michael¡¯s question. ¡°Come on you know! Paul found that treasure chest.¡± Elden lightly put his fist in his other hand, indicating he had finally understood. ¡°Ok. What I don¡¯t get is why you aren¡¯t at the fore-front trying to get a piece of the cake?¡± Michael¡¯s face expression said ¡°What?¡± ¡°I don¡¯t need money. Remember?¡± Michael smiled with his eyes closed. It finally clicked. Elden remembered that Michael had found out about the fact that he received a more than generous income compared to everyone else.In other words he was being blackmailed my his friend. ¡°R-right¡¡± Elden agreed while berating himself internally. The classmates excitement had died down as Elden and Michael were talking. Hmm? Noticing this Elden walked to the front of the crowd. ¡°What¡¯s wrong?¡± ¡°Well the hole is only big enough to allow one person through at a time. And it¡¯s a dark hole ya¡¯know...so we¡¯re kinda deciding who¡¯s gonna have the balls to go in first.¡± Jakob responded. ¡°I see. That hole does look rather sinister.¡± Elden responded. The hole in the stonewall was indeed barely large enough to fit one of them. He didn¡¯t have the explosive power, like the golem, to make the hole bigger. ¡°AARRGG!FUCK IT!¡± Zachary screamed as he removed the bulkier part of his armor and weapons. After ridding himself of the excessive luggage,he began climbing into the hole. He disappeared into the dark. There was tension in the air as the classmates waited to see if anything happened. They were scared of the sinister hole. ¡°Oh my god! You guys have too see this!¡± Zachary screamed from the other side of the wall. Their greediness overruled their fear as the classmates began to cross onto the other side, one at a time. Only a few classmates ,who were slightly too large to fit through the hole, stayed. Elden was the last one to go through the hole.after Michael. ¡°Please do be careful.¡± Elden heard from behind himself. He turned around. ¡°Right¡¡± The one who had given him caution had been Bedro, the second in command of the knight who were accompanying the kids. Elden had finally noticed that these men were naturally much larger than themselves who were still in their periods of growth. Even if they took off their bulky armor, they were still too large to squeeze into the hole. ¡°I¡¯ll be there. So there¡¯s no need to worry.¡± Elden smiled reassuring the vice-captain. Bedro lightly chuckled as Elden made his way through the hole. Volume 2-5.5:The hero we need Author''s Note: Found myself with some time and decided to write the second part of this chapter. ? It was a tight fit with all the classmates in the room no larger than a public bathroom. Illuminated by one of the girls who had activated some type of lantern-like magic. He pushed his way forward in an effort to understand the situation. ¡°Whoa, What is this?¡± Edin asked as he stared at the stone platform situated on the floor. It had rune-like engravings throughout its entire surface. ¡°It looks like one of those Dungeon save points.¡± Said Michael. At the end of each floor in the dungeon was a similar stone platform that would serve as a teleportation point. This way people could come back to the most recent conquered floor. Similar to game save points. ¡°So then the treasure is probably at the other end of this teleportation relay?¡± Asked Ganesh even after he knew the answer. ¡°Deeper into the rabbit hole,Huh?¡± John joked but the dark mood didn''t change. ¡°No use standing around. Let''s go!¡± Jakob encouraged them as he stepped through the portal and disappeared. ¡°It''s probably like a secret level, like in the games.¡± ¡°W-wait¡ª¡±No one waited for Eden to speak his mind as they continuously stepped through the portal. ¡°We don''t know what''s on the other side.¡± He said to the nearly empty room. ¡°Haha it''s fine Elden. You''ll be there to protect us. Right?¡± Said Michael as he stepped through the portal. ¡°But...what if...I¡¯m not?¡± No one heard Elden¡¯s whisper. ?? Elden stepped out of the teleportation platform and into an environment he had never encountered. A murky swamp like the ones seen on documentaries about the amazon. Except this was darker; more sinister. The water was black to the point one wondered if it was even water. Water certainly wasn''t this thick and gooey. The water reached up to just directly below Elden''s knees. He was taller than the class average so most others were deeper into the water. ¡°Who¡¯s bright idea was it to come here?¡± ¡°Ew, my socks are like totally wet!¡± The chatter from his classmates calmed Elden down if a little. A mix of complaints and jokes. Teenagers on a field trip. ¡°Let''s go back.¡± ¡°We''re already here might as well explore.¡± Paul convinced his clique. ¡°He''s right we¡¯re burning daylight.¡± John said as he stepped forward. ¡°But there is no sun. Genius¡± Riley said as she caught up to John. They were still in the dungeon but although there were no sources of light visibility wasn''t entirely gone. It was more gray than dark. Paul walked forward and suddenly fell into the water. All the classmates eyes were wide open and continued to stare at the spot in the water where Paul had fallen. ¡°Puaa!¡± Suddenly Paul¡¯s head came up. He was treading in one spot. His friends pulled him out of the water. ¡°Good thing you weren¡¯t wearing your armor huh?¡± said Jakob Elden followed his friends. ¡°Guys, wait up.¡± He said to them as water splashed as he repeated the motion of raising one foot after the other. ¡°Dude you''re faster than any of us. You can catch up without us slowing down.¡± Jakob laughed. ¡°I can barely walk;let alone run.¡± Elden responded. ¡°You probably scared all the wildlife while you were stomping your feet.¡± Ganesh smiled ¡°Wi-wildlife?¡± Asked John. ¡°Uh yeah. There''s bound to be something in this water. Probably swimming through our feet. We just can''t see it¡ª¡± ¡°Ah!¡± John whelped ¡°something just rubbed against my foot.¡± ¡°Want me to carry you like a bride?¡± offered Riley. ¡°Damn dude being carried by a girl¡¡± All the boys laughed when suddenly John fell on to the water. They almost started laughing until they noticed John was being dragged off . ¡°Ah! Its got me!¡± John looked like a jet ski racing through the water. Dammit! I should have been paying attention He should have been the lookout but instead he was laughing like they were just hanging out. He was their protector. Using a nearby tree, he put power into his legs and jumped off the tree. He crashed into John and grabbed him, only to crash into another tree. ¡°Not my best idea. You alright John?¡± ¡°Why is it always me!?¡± ¡°You''re fine then. Come on get off me now. You ain¡¯t light.¡± John pushed himself off Elden¡¯s chest and stood up. Elden followed suit. ¡°What was pulling you away?¡± asked Elden. ¡°A hand.¡± ¡°A hand?¡± They heard screams. They weren¡¯t all that far from their classmates but a dense fog rolled in. Coupled with the already light-deprived environment made it harder to see what was going on. The both of them ran back.Although it was more accurate to say Elden disappeared while John ran back. What the Fuuu¡ It stood on four large and muscled legs. It looked like a giant dog but it was covered in wet rubbery type fur. It¡¯s front paws were more like the hands of a raccoon. The long tail that was moving like an appendage had a similar like hand at it¡¯s end. In its grasp was Paul¡¯s sword¡ªBrilliance¡ªbeing flailed around at the teens. After going through 20 floors filled with fantasy creatures¡ªElden¡ªhad grown accustomed to constantly being astonished at these creatures. He couldn¡¯t afford to stand there bewildered. Aiming for the varmint¡¯s tail he slashed his sword and met some resistance. The tail couldn¡¯t be cut due to the pike like fur covering the creature¡¯s body. It would take more than one swing of the sword to cut off it¡¯s tail. Dodging and slashing. He repeated this process as the creatures spike-like fur prevented his sword from causing any actual damage. The enchanted longsword was not designed to slice but rather cleave flesh. When he attempted knocking Brilliance¡ªthe enchanted sword given to Paul by the royal family¡ªfrom the monster¡¯s hand-tail;It failed. Elden¡¯s swordsmanship relied on both technique and agility. Swordsmanship designed to deal with human opponents. Deflecting attacks from the sword being held by the hand tail:Evading attacks from the hand-like paws,Not to mention the fatigue he had built up from conquering the previous dungeon floor.Even now using mana to increase his speed wasn¡¯t an option. Whatever remaining mana he had was being used sparingly. He wasn¡¯t an expert on controlling his mana. So while he attempted to turn off and on his speed instantaneously;it backfired. Making his muscles scream with pain. With willpower alone he kicked the ground and jumped backed as far as physics could take him. Right about now. Some help would be appreciated. He turned his head and looked at his companions. He spotted John¡ªwho had returned¡ªswinging his sword at another monster identical to the one Elden was having difficulty dealing with. There was an entire pack of the creatures attacking the group. Although it would be more accurate to say they were more toying with rather than attacking. The creatures had disarmed and were swing swords. Almost as if corralling the students towards the center. Stolen from its original source, this story is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings. I have to save everyone¡ He clutched his enchanted sword¡ªThunderCrack¡ªand crawled forward only to be lifted into the air. Using it¡¯s tail-hand,the creature held Elden by the leg. The creature had dropped brilliance on the floor nearby. Elden glanced at a shadow moving behind the Hand-tail monster. He then turned and started to speak to the monster holding upside down in the air. ¡°Hey! You raccoon-dog piece of shit!.¡± Elden wasn¡¯t very good at cussing.¡± Yeah you! I¡¯m talkin to you!¡± But he had to distract it. Elden had bought enough time for Michael to crawl and grab Brilliance. Michael threw brilliance at Elden, who caught it, and swung it at the monster¡¯s tail, thereby electrocuting it. At the same time using Thundercrack to escape from the monster¡¯s grasp. With a thud he fell to the floor next to a knocked-out creature. Michael helped him and lent him an arm to walk. ¡°How many more times can you use the special attack?¡± Michael asked him. Elden grunted. ¡°Hnng, one more time.¡± he answered. Each enchanted weapon had to be charged before being capable of using the preinstalled magic inside the gem. Paul had previously charged his sword which gave Elden the opportunity just now to use it. His own sword Thunder-crack was empty and required a charge. ¡°There¡¯s over ten of them¡¡± Michael commented offside. ¡°We can get one of the girls to charge it.¡± Elden suggested. At this point only himself and Paul could charge magic into the swords. The boys hadn¡¯t even been taught magic let alone how to move magic power into a gem. The girls were also not taught on how to charge the stones but Elden figured that their training with magic might help them do it now. ¡°I¡¯m fine now.¡± Elden continued walking without Michael¡¯s assistance. They both were outside the encirclement. The classmates had been corralled into a tight circle with all sides surrounded by the pack of Hand-tails,so dubbed by Michael. ¡°We have to get to our friends. Ok here¡¯s the plan. I¡¯ll take one of those hand-tails out and then we run inside.¡± Elden gave his plan to Michael, who just nodded. ¡°Now! Run!¡± Elden charged forward as he charged Brilliance and stabbed it into the nearest Hand-tail. It was electrocuted and Elden and Michael ran to their friends. ¡°You guys alive!?¡± John asked. Michael nodded as Elden flopped onto the floor. ¡°Not for much longer,¡± said Jakob as he stared at the monsters surrounding them. Zachary went down on a knee next to Elden.¡±You alright Elden?¡± ¡°I¡¯m tired.¡± Elden¡¯s voice was muffled by the floor. ¡°Dammit! what are they waiting for!?¡± asked Zachary as he looked at the hand-tails surrounding them. ¡°They took our swords but they¡¯re not killing us.¡± ¡°Are we gonna die?¡± ¡°What do we do?¡± Elden raised his head from the floor. He looked at the closest girl and called out to her. ¡°Sharon!¡± She jumped as she was startled to be called out.¡±Y-yes?¡± she asked timidly. Elden raised his arm and gestured for her to come closer. She bent down slightly and asked ¡°What?¡± ¡°Charge these swords.¡± he handed Thundercrack over to her while Sharon raised an eyebrow. ¡°B-but there¡¯s like no outlets or electricity?¡± ¡°...¡±Elden sighed.¡°Charge it with magic¡¡± ¡°I don¡¯t know how Elden.¡± ¡°Mary!¡± he called to another classmate. ¡°What is it?¡± Mary asked. ¡°Charge these swords Sharon is holding ,please.¡± ¡°With magic? They never taught us how but I''ll try.¡± Mary took the sword from Sharon. ¡°Thanks.¡± he have his gratitude. Sharon was still there absentmindedly. ¡°It¡¯s fine Sharon.I don''t need you anymore, thanks.¡±¡± Sharon scurried away while Elden stood up. ¡°Who remembers the path back?¡± he asked. ¡°I do. Why? What¡¯s the plan?¡± Ganesh asked. ¡°I¡¯ll clear the path and make an opening. You guys run back to the portal while I deal with the Hand-tail things.¡± ¡°Will you be able to deal with it?¡± asked Paul ¡°I mean you could barely deal with one.¡± Elden stared at Paul. While Mary walked up to Elden holding two swords. ¡°It¡¯ll be fine if I have both these babies.¡± ¡°But that one is mine.¡± said Paul ¡°And your point is?¡± ¡°Nevermind.¡± Elden thanked Mary and attached Brilliance¡¯s sheath to his waist together with Thundercrack. ¡°Ready?¡± ¡°Waiting on you bro.¡± Elden took a few deep breaths. He turned to face the monster that was blocking the path back to the teleportation platform. ¡°Ok, As soon as that guy is out of the way everyone run back in single file. I¡¯ll stay back to deal with these fuckers.¡± He ran forward and jumped while drawing Thundercrack from its sheath. He pulled it back as far as he could and swung with everything he had. Unleashing Thundercracks shockwave as soon as it made contact. The creature was blown away. Literally flying in an arc across the fog-filled sky. The big boom that accompanied Elden¡¯s attack had served as a starting signal as all the kids ran forward, Ganesh leading the way. The creatures reacted quickly enough and began to pursue them. Only to be stopped by the blond teen with shoulder-length hair. The creatures were attempting to go back into the deep water in order to catch up more quickly to their prey. Elden moved in a blur, instantaneously moving from one creature to another. Constantly holding them back. Their was only on objective. Every move designed to deal with these things. He would not fail. He lost track of time but thanks to the muscles in his body that were burning with lactic acid;He could tell maybe he had bought enough time or maybe not. He was already tired and didn¡¯t know if his muscles could keep up. Maybe he had stopped these things for a minute or an hour. Well he doubted he was still standing if he was here for an hour. Using a final burst of speed he went towards the small dirt path that was above the water. He failed his landing due to exhaustion and was sprawled on the floor. On the muddy part of the ground someone had drawn an arrow pointing to ,what Elden assumed, was the way back. Under the arrow was written ¡®I¡¯ll see you soon-M¡¯ Elden smiled and stood up. He tried running but tripped and got more mud on his face. The sweat went into his eyes. It felt like his eyes were burning together with every other part of his body. This was nothing compared to the intense training he had once gone through. Eventually he settled with a half-jog/half tripping pace. He saw the footprints on the small path and followed them until he reached it. He heaved a sigh of joy and stepped on the portal platform. When he was finally back in the small room he saw a few knights. It seemed the small hole in the wall had been expanded. The entire wall was now missing allowing some fresh air to circulate into the small hidden room. ¡°He¡¯s here!¡± screamed a knight towards the outside. ¡°Did everyone make it?¡± Elden asked the closest knight as he fell onto the floor unconscious.
