《The Cloaked Fallen》 The Cloaked Fallen prologue Sechs sat in front of his T.V. spending the last moments of his life watching a documentary. His life started out rather simple, his mother and father both worked simple jobs and he was left at a day care of pre-kinder school. When he was around 5 years old his parents took him on a trip around the world for reasons he can''t remember. The trip was great and he saw plenty of interesting things but at some point during the trip the small happy family met misfortune. They stumbled onto a fight between some extraordinary humans who could do things regular people could not. Sechs could not remember what happened exactly but his parents were killed and he was taken by someone to some god forsaken facility. The goal of this facility was simple, to grasp the exact reason that those extraordinary humans came to be through science. These humans were collectively and simply known as martial artist. Through the training of their body some could even withstand bullets without protective gear. When he was taken Sechs was constantly drugged with what was thought to be wonder drugs that would recreate the effects of a martial artist training his or her body. Things continued this way for roughly five years, with no positive effects the scientist running the facility decided to use him for something different. By that time Sechs had already lost most of his sanity and forgotten the name his parents had given him and responded to being called number 6 in any language. At the age he believed he was around 10, Sechs was given a book which was believed be be from the ancient Mayans. This was not a form of martial arts but the ones who gave it to him believed that it was close enough to some other martial arts methods to have a chance of success and gave it to him. Their goal was to study him, see if it worked, and eventually reproduce the effects through the usage of drugs. The method written in the book was quite simple kill an opponent, rip out it¡¯s heart, and eat the heart. Those three steps were what the five page book explained in detail, there was also stuff about feeling it¡¯s essence and taking it in but at the time he didn¡¯t understand any of that. For the 5 years following that he fought with animals and ate their hearts without much thought or care. As the animals he faced became progressively stronger he did as well not because of the ancient text but out of necessity. The first time he actually felt the essence was when he killed a wolf and ate its heart, after that he became progressively stronger and eventually killed a bear unarmed around the time he turned 15. At that point someone decided that it would be best to put him up against humans and that began his years of fighting and killing others in the facility. When he turned 19, Sechs was the only one left from all the children that were brought in with him. Some of those he faced were capable of extraordinary things such as lighting their body on fire without burning themselves or turning their skin into a rock like substance. The most difficult challenge he faced and the last was a young woman who¡¯s touch could induce frostbite. He couldn¡¯t do anything to that extent all he could do was slow his perception of time allowing him to be prepared for anything that came his way. Having killed all his opponents for the last 10 or so years Sechs killed all the scientist who put him trough everything and took all the other martial arts related books. But he did not escape unscathed, during his massacre he was shot multiple time and inhaled deadly poison. Bu because of his stronger body he was able to survive another ten years. Giving himself the name Sechs, German for 6, he left to rejoin the outside world and gain back some of what he lost. But that was difficult as he could barely be considered sane. For those next ten years he lived a fairly decent life a construction worker. Today he knew he didn¡¯t have much time left as he would soon die from the poison that had never left his system, so he chose to spend his final moments watching a documentary. The program was about a black wolf who went against the norm and did as he pleased until he was ready to settle down and start his own pack, the wolf had some setbacks in his early life but persevered and was able to make something great out of himself with his intelligence. Around the time the wolf died in the end he too could feel his life fading and laughed to himself, nothing he did could expel the poison. In an attempt to live what he considered a complete life he had read all the martial arts manuals to the point where they were ingrained in his soul but nothing in them would help him expel the poison. In reality he was just following his instinct to survive and didn¡¯t really mind dying so he closed his eyes and headed to whatever fate awaited him be it hell or any of the other places religions spoke about even complete nothingness was fine in his point of view. Three days passed before someone found his corpse with most of his organs melted. The Cloaked Fallen Chapter 1 Chapter 1: Realization Sechs woke up greatly surprised to be alive and for some reason crying. Coming to his senses he stopped crying and began to look around. In his surroundings were various young women looking at him wearing fur clothes. One of them picked him up and began to move Sechs startling him greatly, in his point of view the seemingly young woman was giant. He was then given to a mature looking woman who seemed to be in her late twenties. They all spoke a language he didn¡¯t recognize, the mature woman held him in her arms. Sechs could feel her arms placed on his back and head, telling him that compared to her he was exceedingly small in size. The mature woman held a worried expression and called to one of the younger ones by her side telling her some incomprehensible things. Her cause for worry was Sechs his temperature rose and if it wasn¡¯t brought down quickly he could die. Feeling the rise in temperature Sechs could do nothing he felt to sluggish and quickly feel asleep thinking that now in this strange place of giants he would die, there was also the possibility that this was all a hallucination before his death. Outside a large tent of furs sat Glyn the younger brother of his tribes chief. Inside the tent his second wife was giving birth to what would be his sixth child. His first wife had birthed him two children and his second wife would now birth him her fourth, normally at this point there wouldn¡¯t be much to worry about but during her pregnancy she had complication with her health. It was because of these complications that she was now facing troubles with labor. But his worry didn¡¯t increase past some minor thoughts of what could happen after all his wife was strong and he belonged to the Raging Mammoth tribe full of strong individuals who could survive in the harsh savage lands so his children should be no exception. The tent door opened with a one of the attendants franticly calling for him to come inside to his wife and new born. Inside the tent his wife was holding the new born child with a look of worry, noticing that he moved quickly startling some of the attendants. ¡°Lumi what happened why do you have that pained look on your face?¡± Lumi, his second wife looked worried but not frantic so he assumed whatever the problem it could be handled. ¡°He has a high fever, I''m keeping it down but he only cried for a short while and then stopped and quickly fell asleep after developing his fever. I''m worried he won''t be able to make it if we don¡¯t give him constant care for the next month or so.¡± A newborns cry was considered a measure of how healthy a baby was and this one only cried slightly before stoping only to get sick and fall. ¡°That is worrisome but not a major problem the only thing that is, is his name according to tribe law weak newborns are given a number then if they make it to the age of ten they will chose a name for themselves.¡± Hearing this the Lumi sighed she new this was tribe law but she still desired to give her newborn son a name representing power and authority as the spirits might grant him strength through his name but it was not to be. ¡°Then for now until he reaches the age of ten he will be known as Sixth, Lumi do not worry this is only a minor setback a he will grow strong like all our tribesman.¡± Hearing her husband name the newborn Sixth, Lumi sighed thinking that his life would not be easy as everyone in the tribe would know he was born weak and his temporary name would be a constant reminder. Their clan was in the savage lands a harsh environment for any to live in and being weak was practically considered a sin. In these lands beast roamed supreme while humans lived in constantly moving tribes. Their tribe the Raging Mammoth Tribe was considered well off they had enough resources to feed all it members and warriors to fight of any beast. With her husband being the only younger brother of the chief her son¡¯s life would be difficult but not unbearable. Thinking once more on her husbands words she felt he was right the tribesmen always had a stronger than normal constitution, he was a powerful warrior and she was an accomplished shaman all of their other children grew to be stronger than their piers how could some early setbacks bring down her new son. For the next couple of days Sechs went in and out of consciousness following his instincts to feed and other things necessary to his continual survival. Having spent more than a couple of hours fully awake he was now certain of one thing. This was the reincarnation that he read about in some Hindu text. Looking at his hands and occasionally catching glimpses of his feet he knew that his body was not that of a grown man but a baby. Remembering his life Sechs was determined to live differently, without any shackles from organizations, governments, or any such institutions he was resolved to live according to his desires freely like that wolf he watched in his final moments. Another ten or so days passed and he figured some out some important things first was his surroundings he was inside a tent of animal furs and everyone he saw wore fur cloths. Second his parents seemed to have some authority here as the person he believed to be his mother, a blue haired mature woman who fed him breast milk at least twice a day, was able to order various young women to do tasks for her. The third thing he learned and the most important thing for him was that his body was sickly. If you discover this tale on Amazon, be aware that it has been unlawfully taken from Royal Road. Please report it. While Sechs thought of it as an inconvenience that alone would not stop him from living freely, with the help from the ancient text of the Mayans he would be able to strengthen his body. And although he had not figured out what country he was in all places had animals and when he turned five or so he could probably begin his his rise in power. He figured with enough strength it would be impossible for anyone to stop him from doing as he pleased. For the next two months Sechs left all his bodies functions to his instincts. From the point of view of others he became a normal child after his lack of ¡°baby qualities¡±. Seeing him act this way Lumi was pleased although he had a somewhat weaker constitution Sixth was getting better. After those two months Sechs was awakened form his state of following his instincts, the reason was a creature that made no sense. A wooly mammoth as large as a two story house. Apparently everyone was packing up their tent and preparing to move. All tents as far as he could see were being packed up and moved to the various horses to carry, only in the space around him were there three mammoths. His mother while holding him brought him closer to the large beast and jumped to the top of it sitting cross legged while holding him. Thinking about it Sechs couldn¡¯t make sense of anything the mammoth was not something that existed anymore it had long gone extinct and even at their prime Sechs didn¡¯t believe that they grew this big. The other thing was his mother. She jumped onto the back of the beast like it was the simplest thing in the world. Even at his prime Sechs would have trouble replicating what she just did. This gave him something completely new to think about, namely what world he had been born into. From what he could remember about reincarnation and other text there was a belief the multiple worlds existed and one would be reborn into a different one every time he or she died. For now he held off on any thoughts of understanding his surroundings until he could speak or read if possible. Once he could speak he would be able to ask all the questions he wanted and learn what he could so his new goal was to listen to every one speaking in his surroundings and learn the language. Glyn looked at his son and smiled the mammoths they rode were savage beast that their elders raised and tamed but they still gave off a frightening aura most children would feel intimidated and those under three were sure to cry but Sixth did not and that showed he would have a strong will when he grew older. Sechs didn¡¯t understand the look his father gave him and thought of it as parental affection, the man he believed to be his father didn¡¯t show up a lot and only held him twice. This was because he had an important role in the tribe and led the people from atop the mammoth to a new land and most likely had plenty of other responsibilities. Their were some children Sechs also believed were his siblings but that was something he could not confirm. Lumi looked at the now sleeping Sixth, his health improved but not to a level where she could feel confident leaving him in the care of others. As a shaman in the tribe she had duties to accomplish and would need to occasionally leave him in the care of another. She made up her mind to assign him a personal caretaker earlier than most usually on was assigned at the age or three or four when children wanted to run around and play with others their age. Of course this was only to the children of the higher ranked in the tribe. Thinking this she went off with Sixth in her arms looking for someone to take in as a personal caretaker for her son. This position was coveted by many as it came with the benefits of her personal help to strengthen an individual in one way or another. As a shaman she could greatly help others increase their strength through the use of talismans. Personal caretakers were usually chosen among friends or other touted people but Lumi liked to select from those at the lowest ranks of the tribe giving them a chance to rise up. She quickly made her way to the low ranked section of the tribe as they marched, the difference in position was obvious she and her family rode massive mammoths, some had horses, others had large birds to carry their belonging, and those at the lowest ranks carried their belongings themselves as they walked. Looking at those carrying their own belongings Lumi began to search through the various people. Among them she saw a young girl who should be about ten carrying everything an adult would carry herself. Satisfied with the girls strength she walked up to her and lightened the girls load by taking half of it onto her shoulders. ¡°Young lady would you mind bringing me to your parents.¡± The girl was surprised but recovered quickly. ¡°They passed away last Cycle so I care for myself now.¡± Hearing this Lumi felt bad for her but it also presented an opportunity. ¡°I¡¯m sorry for your loss but I have a proposition for you, I need some one to care for my child while I attend to business. So if you would answer some of my questions I would like to take you in.¡± The young girl quickly agreed and the two began a series of question and answer, having satisfied her needs Lumi took the girl onto the back of the mammoth and explained her position and the care her son would need. In exchange the girl would be given shelter, food, clothes, and the strength necessary to help and protect her Sixth. The Cloaked Fallen chapter 2 Chapter 2: Learning Sechs was now four years old. Over these four years he began to understand much about the new world he was in. The tribe he belonged to was located in the savage lands, these lands were home to savage beasts. Savage beasts were animals who¡¯s body was changed due to them being able to absorb elemental energies in the atmosphere, some of these beast would grow larger than the two story mammoth and none were as docile. The tribe he was born into was a fairly large tribe consisting of at least ten thousand people, known as the Raging Mammoth Tribe. In the tribe his father was the younger brother of the chief and handled most of his older brothers responsibilities. His mother was a shaman but he didn¡¯t completely understand what that meant. He also had older brothers and sisters but they didn¡¯t care for him much as he was weak and in the tribe being weak was a sin. From the time he was born till now he never had much strength, at most he could walk around for a few minutes before tiring himself out. Sechs didn¡¯t see that as much of a problem, seeing as how he could use the Ancient Mayan [Heart Devouring] technique to strengthen his body. The one thing that he found amusing in all of this was his name, having learned the language he recognized what he was called, Sixth. He was told by his personal attendant that if he survived to the age of ten he would be able to chose his own name and take on the clan name as a sort of surname. She taught him how to read as she had learned from his mother in the time when he still couldn¡¯t speak. This was something that he greatly appreciated as he wasn¡¯t sure if people who lived in tents and wore fur clothing had books or a writing system. Their book where written on animal skin parchments. Sechs smiled looking at the book in his hand this book was the one he used for the last year to learn to read. The book depicted the story of a young man who ran into the wilderness of the savage lands and returned to his tribe a saint. But a lot of what was written didn¡¯t make much sense. Now that he could read, he could begin learning about everything available in his tribe¡¯s collection of books. Turning to his attendant, Tekone, Sechs was quite happy knowing that starting today he would be able to learn more about the world and resolve some of the questions he had about the book he read. In the tribe Sechs was considered an intellectual genius, but what was respected was not intelligence it was strength and In terms of strength he has far below the other children. Being able to read and write at the age of four with proficiency would be considered good in any place especially in this savage land were only the higher ranks were taught how to. ¡°Tekone could you bring all the books available to me so I can chose some to read.¡± ¡°Yes young master.¡± Tekone nodded and headed out to collect the books that he would be allowed to read. After an hour she returned. In her hands were three books [Savage Beasts Encyclopedia], [Savage Lands], and [Path of the Strong]. Sechs chose to read [Savage Lands] first, then [Path of the Strong], and lastly [Savage beast Encyclopedia] his reason was simple first he desired to know about where he lived and what his tribes position was. In his previous life he remembered his family being well off but they were suddenly killed and he was taken to become an experiment. The encyclopedia was last because he wished to take his time memorizing it, considering how large it was and knowledge of beast would help in his survival late in his life he wouldn¡¯t dare skim through it. Picking up [Savage Lands] Sechs began reading with great interest. The book cloud be summarized into four points, first the territory that was considered the savage lands was as big as the Russia back on earth and maybe somewhat larger. Second any human who lived in the savage lands would need to constantly roam, every tribe controlled a vast amount of land and would stay within it while moving every three to four months. Third, the rulers of the savage lands were not humans but the savage beasts, even the largest of tribes would have to constantly move about to avoid attracting stronger beasts by staying in one place. And finally, something that greatly intrigued Sechs, in this world outside of the savage lands, humans and beasts were not the only powerful beings there were also angels and demons. Although there would occasionally be an angel or demon who would reside in the savage lands most of them would prefer to stay in their own lands. Next he picked up [Path of the strong] this book interested him mainly because of the physical strength his mother had previously shown. In contrast to the first book he read this one was full of many more surprises. The book didn¡¯t have any martial arts techniques or cultivation methods but it did contain an explanation of the system of cultivation in this world that could bring a person through what is known as the five realms of power. In the world there were three methods of cultivation a human could follow to go through the five realms of power. These three were to become a shaman, a runic warrior, or an aura warrior. Shamans were split into five realms mortal, apprentice, shaman, elder shaman, and true shaman. They were close to what would be considered a mage, they used talismans made of different materials and inscribed them with elemental energy gathered from the atmosphere these talismans would allow a shaman to use spell like attacks. But aside from using talismans shamans had on other important role, using elemental energy a shaman could inscribe runes onto his or her own body making them physically stronger. This was the reason why his mother was much stronger than she appeared. Shamans could also inscribe those same runes on others, this is what lead to runic warriors. Because of the nature of their work shamans would not be able to use strong runes on themselves but on others there was no need to hold back so runic warriors were usually at least four times physically stronger than a shaman. Love what you''re reading? Discover and support the author on the platform they originally published on. Runic warriors were split into four realms five rune warrior, fifteen rune warrior, thirty rune warrior, and sixty rune warrior. Because sixty runes were the limit for a human being a runic warrior could only take a person to the fourth realm of power, it was said that reaching a fifth realm was possible but that was only a legend. The most desired path for someone however was to become an aura warrior, they were split into mortal, aura, artifact, saint, and true aura. Aura warriors used elemental energy and converted it into an aura around their body to strengthen themselves by doing so they were also able to use incredible martial techniques. Other than the aura the warriors would also use runes. The runes they could handle while only half as strong as a runic warrior were much more powerful when combined with their aura. From the information the book gave, in his previous life Sechs could only be considered to have reached top mortal realm. That was because of the lack in earth¡¯s elemental energy, although he could not gather it himself eating the hearts of others allowed him to take what they had previously gathered. And here in this world overflowing with elemental energy what could stop him from living freely. Looking at the final book [Savage Beast Encyclopedia] he decided to save it for another time as his body could no longer manage to hold up for the day. ¡°Tekone please bring me to my tent.¡± ¡°Yes young master.¡± Acknowledging his words she immediately brought him to a small tent that his mother set up for him and Tekone, who would care for him in case anything suddenly happened to his fragile body. ¡°Young master do you need me to explain anything you read today?¡± Tekone was personally taught everything in those books by Sechs¡¯ mother so she had a firm grasp of the content and would be able to explain anything he didn¡¯t understand. ¡°No, I have the general idea about the content¡ Tekone are you a shaman, runic warrior, or an aura warrior?¡± Tekone smiled at Sechs, if she had talent to become a shaman or an aura warrior the tribe would not allow her to spend her time caring for the fragile young master even if that was what she desired. ¡°Young master I am a runic warrior. Your mother personally inscribed runes on me so I would be able to better protect you.¡± This was something she would always be grateful for, after her parents dies Tekone was alone and would have to fend for herself but being a ten year old child that wasn¡¯t realistically possible. When she was taken in as Sixth¡¯s personal attendant, Lumi inscribed her first rune onto Tekone. ¡°How many runes do you have?¡± ¡°Young master your mother has inscribed four runes. Soon I will enter the first realm and become a five rune warrior.¡± She was a fourteen year old girl to have reach the five runes before becoming fifteen would not be considered to great. ¡°Now young master you should rest you exerted yourself today going through those books. Tomorrow you can continue and read the encyclopedia if you desire and I will answer more of your questions then.¡± In a large tent near Sechs tent Glyn spoke to his two wives about his son, Sixth. ¡°Lumi his condition hasn¡¯t gotten any better in the last two years and he has not stabilized, for him to continue living this way will be hard¡ And I hate to think about it but when he turns fifteen tradition states that he will have to fight a savage beast.¡± This was a way for their tribe to show that the higher ranks deserved their spot at the top. They were respected and followed precisely because of their ability to fight off the savage beasts if they were afraid or were killed by one, it would be seen as that individual having no place in the higher ranks of the tribe. ¡°Husband Lumi¡¯s child still has eleven years until that time, for now why don''t we focus on bringing him up to be stronger. From what I''ve heard he is a smart child maybe he can comprehend our ancestors [Raging Mammoth] cultivation technique quickly and gain enough strength to fight agains a savage beast.¡± The one who spoke was Glyn¡¯s first wife, Kone, she was always more positive in her thinking than him and tended to look one the brighter side of things. ¡°Kone is correct, he may be able to quickly comprehend the ancestors cultivation technique.¡± Lumi said this but still felt worried inside, what mother would be willing to watch as her son was brought before a savage beast to die. The only way for him to survive was to kill the beast or leave the tribe. Leaving the tribe would also be a death sentence as a lone person had little chance of surviving in the savage lands. ¡°Yes the only thing we can do now is wait for him to turn five and we will be able to test him to see if he has talent to become a shaman or an aura warrior if he doesn¡¯t then Lumi can begin to inscribe runes on him early to strengthen his body and ensure he has some chance of survival.¡± The only thing that worried him now was if his son had an affinity to an element. The elements were split into Fire, Water, Wind, Earth, and Lightning other than those five was the origin element. The origin element was not one thing but a general term for those who were born with a strange element not born of the world. Origin elements were not something anyone would want. They were a gamble for power, one person was said to have been able to turn into a dragon or a ferocious king tiger but others could only do things such as control the movement of their bowels. The number of useless powers that came out of the origin element far exceeded the useful or powerful ones. Their tribe only had earth shamans so if Sixth had an elemental affinity that would force him to focus on any element other than the earth element at least in the Raging Mammoth tribe he would be considered useless. On the contrary if Sixth was lucky enough to have the earth elemental affinity he would be considered a great asset to the tribe regardless of his constitution. The. Cloaked Fallen chapter 3 Chapter 3: Head butcher? Perfect Having rested Sechs now began looking through the [Savage Beast Encyclopedia]. The beasts in this book were only the ones that the Raging Mammoth Tribe knew about but even then it contained knowledge of hundreds of beasts. Having read the first couple of pages Sechs now had a general understanding of beasts. Savage beasts were also divided into five realms but we''re not given a specific name simply being known as first realm, second realm, third realm, fourth realm, and fifth realm. The other important thing he found out was that the runes a shaman engraved onto a person were slight variations of runes savage beast were born with in their bones. According to Tekone the founder of the raging mammoth tribe was a shaman who killed a large earthen mammoth and inscribed a slightly changed version of the runes on the mammoth¡¯s bones onto his younger brother who was an earth aura warrior. Together they were able to survive in the savage lands and start a tribe. The runes on Tekone were also a variation of the earthen mammoth¡¯s bone runes. The reason for the need in variations was the placement of the runes, savage beasts were born with the runes on their bones, humans on the other hand would engrave the runes onto the surface of their skin because their bodies would not be able to bare having the runes on their bones. Having spent a few weeks memorizing the encyclopedia Sechs came to a conclusion about the beasts in the savage lands, these beasts would not exceed the second realm and for some reason any beast that reached the third realm would disappear. Thinking about it that meant that his tribe¡¯s strongest warrior would only have reached second realm of their path be it shaman, runic warrior, or aura warrior. This sparked a different idea in his mind, how different were the cultivation manuals he took from the facility and what the tribe had available. The warriors in the tribe were stronger than he had ever been, but earth lacked the vast amounts of elemental energy so none of the martial arts manuals or techniques could reach their full potential. Sechs had taken four useful martial arts manuals from the facility, a manual would consist of everything from cultivation techniques to movement techniques that would cooperate with each other to help in the growth of a martial artist, these four were from different elements. The [Ice Jade Blade] manual of the water element, [Blaze Wolf] manual of the fire element, [Six Winged Angel] which did not corespondent to an element but was to temper ones heart and soul, and the [Undead King] manual which consisted of methods to temper one¡¯s body. His [Heart Devouring] technique on the other hand would be considered a cultivation technique and not a full manual. In his previous life aside from the [Heart Devouring] technique Sechs also trained in [Six Winged Angel] technique and the [Undead King] technique, these were what allowed him to live for ten years after being poisoned. ********** Sechs sat in his tent meditating. Today he would go see an elder of the Raging Mammoth tribe to determine his future. According to what he heard from Tekone, he would be tested on his potential to be either a shaman, runic warrior, or an aura warrior and whether or not he had an elemental affinity. His tribe only had one earth element technique but he had more than enough considering the martial arts manuals he took from the facility. Five other children would be joining him, those five children were the one¡¯s born in the same month he was. These children were the sons and daughters of higher ranked members of the tribe. Standing up he headed towards his mother¡¯s tent. His mother looked at him with worry in her eyes when she saw Sechs he was skinny, short, and had unhealthy pale skin from how things were progressing he would not be able to live past fifteen. ¡°Sixth today you will test your potential, with some luck you could even become an aura warrior.¡± Sechs looked at his mother seeing the concern in her eyes he couldn¡¯t help but feel moved. ¡°Mother don¡¯t worry even if I don¡¯t have any luck, I will become strong through hard work.¡± Lumi smiled, her son might not have a strong body but his intelligence and heart were unmatched, that would be a great benefit to him in becoming a powerful figure one day. The two walked towards a large tent not to far from Lumi¡¯s. Today Tekone would not be following Sechs as he was being accompanied by his mother. Inside the tent were eleven people. Five children and six adults, two of the children were female and three were male. The adults were each child''s mother and the elder who would record the outcome of the tests for the tribe. ¡°With shaman Lumi and her son here we can begin.¡± The elder began speaking and pointed towards a table with a clear square crystal resting on top. ¡°This will be a quick and easy test just place your hand on the crystal and that will tell us if you have an elemental affinity of not. It will change color if you have an elemental affinity. Yellow will represent earth, red fire, blue water, green wind, purple lightning, and white origin.¡± All the children looked at the crystal with a mix of fear and excitement. If they had an affinity for the earth element they would have the full support of the tribe in cultivation, however if they had any other affinity the tribe did not posses a way for them to cultivate. ¡°Now that will be second test, first we will test your potential as a shaman, runic warrior, or aura warrior. This will be simple I will send some elemental energy into you and if you are able to manipulate or retain it you can choose your path as a shaman or aura warrior, after you have completed the mortal realm of the five realms of power. If you can not then you still have the option to become a runic warrior.¡± This time not only did the children look excited but also their mothers, as a parent who wouldn''t want their child to have a promising future. If you spot this narrative on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation.¡°Okay there¡¯s only five of you, hurry and line up in front of me and I''ll begin.¡± Sechs made his way slowly to the elder while all the other children ran as fast as their little legs could move. The first three to arrive were the other boys following them were two girls and the last to arrive was Sechs. The Elder placed his had on the head of the first child to arrive in front of him. ¡°Runic warrior.¡± The child looked somewhat disappointed while walking back to his mother. The Second and third boys both had their choice of being a shaman or an aura warrior. The next to go up were the two girls, they were both told that they had the choice to be whatever they desired but as the two walked to their mothers they seemed to glare at each other. As Sechs moved in front of the elder, Lumi clenched her fists, if he could become an aura warrior and train in the [Raging Mammoth] technique he would have a chance to overcome his frail body. The elder looked at the sickly boy in front of him and sighed knowing that this child would not be able to do much in his life. Feeling earth elemental energy rush into him Sechs quickly guided it into his stomach and began circulating it according to the [Heart Devouring] technique. Normally he would have to eat a heart and take the elemental energy stored in it to strengthen himself but if someone directly put elemental energy into him without causing him harm, he would be able to store it in his stomach to be digested later. The elder looked wide eyed at Sechs then at Lumi. ¡°This child is an exceptional talent. Shaman Lumi he has completely taken in my elemental energy the chance that this boy will be a remarkable aura warrior is high.¡± Lumi had a radiant smile hearing the words of the elder, with this she wouldn¡¯t have to worry about his future in the tribe as long as he didn¡¯t have any elemental affinity. Sechs walked back to his mother while circulating and digesting the elemental energy. What Sechs desired was not the earth elemental energy but pure energy and for that he would most likely lose at least seventy percent of the energy in getting rid of the earth element portion. ¡°Next all of you walk to the crystal and place your hand on it one at a time.¡± The children didn¡¯t care much for the previous praise that Sechs received and immediately ran to the crystal. The first four children that went up to the crystal left with disappointed faces they as they didn¡¯t have an earth elemental affinity. But when the fifth touched the crystal it finally lit up, sadly for the girl it changed to a blue color, the Raging Mammoth tribe didn¡¯t have any cultivation techniques or runes for the water element making it impossible for the girl to cultivate in the tribe. While she walked back to her mother the girl looked as if the world had just ended, while the other girl had a triumphant smile plastered on her face. Seeing this Sechs shook his head, thinking that children could be rather mean at times. Placing his hands on the crystal an immediate reaction occurred, it turned white. This signified the origin element and would mean that if he reached the second realm in cultivation he would manifest a random ability and he would have to come up with a cultivation technique of his own if he wanted to become an aura warrior. The elder looked somewhat disappointed as he had some hopes for Sechs but this wasn¡¯t the first time something like this happened and it wouldn¡¯t be the last. Out of the six children that underwent the test three had good prospects while the other three ran into some form of bad luck. Sechs however wasn¡¯t bothered by any of this as he knew other cultivation techniques. His only dilemma was how he would kill and eat the hearts of various creatures. His first idea was to tell his mother that he stumbled upon a technique but that wouldn¡¯t make much sense and he had no desire to share his technique with the rest of the clan that looked at him as if he were walking sin. The only people he felt good will towards were Tekone and his mother. Walking back to his tent Sechs continued to refine the earth elemental energy silently and taking the portions that became pure energy and merged it into his own heart. His mother took his silence as worry and tried to console him, telling him he would one day be able to sore in the sky and dive into the depths of the ocean because his origin element would be a tremendous gift from the heavens. Once inside his tent Sechs closed his eyes and began to focus all of his attention on refining the elemental energy. Seeing her young master this way Tekone was both worried and proud, sixth from a young age was the smartest child she had ever heard about and she believed that he would one day create his own cultivation technique but the origin element would always be a worrying thing. Not to far from the tent a small commotion was occurring. The other five children along with some others had gotten together to make fun of the girl who had the water elemental affinity. The group would not harm her physically but did surround her not letting her leave as they mocked her. After five minutes Sechs completely digested the elemental energy but it didn¡¯t do much to help him, he still believed that eating hearts would be the best way to cultivate. Hearing the small commotion he decided to check it out. Once there he saw fifteen children lead by one of the girls he saw surroundings and mocking the other girl. ¡°Hahaha didn¡¯t you boast that you would be the strongest warrior, now how do you plan on doing that.¡± ¡°You¡¯r just the head butchers daughter your not meant to be a warrior!¡± ¡°You¡¯re a failure of a warrior.¡± ¡°Failure!¡± ¡°Failure!¡± ¡°Failure!¡± Sechs smiled as he heard the jeers of the children, ¡®head butcher?¡¯, wasn¡¯t that a perfect way to get close to beast that he could kill, they might even give some to him if he helped this girl out. The Cloaked Fallen chapter 4 Chapter 4: [Ice Jade Blade] Nixie left the test feeling depressed. She was the daughter of the head butcher but that was not the path she desired. She wanted to be like her grandfather an aura warrior. All her life she had been told stories by her grandfather about people who reached realms far beyond that of what the Raging Mammoth Tribe was capable of. Her dream was to lead her family out of the savage lands and into greater places where they wouldn¡¯t have to constantly move from fear of attracting the attention of savage beasts. Prior to today she had always boasted that she would be the strongest warrior and leave the savage lands. But all her dreams were shattered when the elder told her that she had a water elemental affinity. Her mother knowing how devastated she was after the test tried various ways to cheer her up but had little success. Nixie decided to take a walk and hopefully clear her head. ¡®Ahhhhh¡¯ in her head she could do nothing but scream away her depression. Around the time when she was at her lowest, Saill the daughter of her uncle came with a group of children. The two girls had never gotten along and some arguments even came to physical blows. Being surrounded by children Nixie had no way to escape the encirclement. While the children around her kept calling her a failure she began to crumble under the the thought that everything she had ever dreamed about would never come to be. It was then when a soft voice called out. ¡°Stop this pointless mockery.¡± Although the voice was soft and somewhat weak everyone could clearly hear it as they stopped. Looking towards the one who spoke Nixie was surprised as it was the sickly son of the Shaman Lumi. He was the one who had the origin element, from what she knew some with the origin element would be able to become powerful figures. She looked at him with a bit of envy, although his chances were astronomically low he could still become an aura warrior unlike her. ¡°Leave her alone and disperse.¡± The young boy had a commanding tone which left no room for arguments, some of the other children even subconsciously stepped back opening a path for Nixie. But some of the leading children would not back down so easily. ¡°You can¡¯t tell us what to do. We will be warriors that protect the tribe and you will only be a burden that will live because of your mom.¡± Although nixie hated to agree with them, in her mind the children were right the young boy in front of her had little chance to grow even now he looked like he was too sick to be walking around. In the tribe the strong made the rules even the chief could be replaced if a stronger individual surfaced so it would be impossible for the sickly boy in front of her to hold match authority. ¡°Fine then why don''t I show you why I can ¡°tell you what to do.¡± Come¡± seeing this sickly boy provoke the children into a fight Nixie wasn''t the only on surprised but the other children were quick to accept the challenge. Nixie wanted to fight instead of the sickly boy but had no chance, currently none of them had begun to cultivate so all their strengths were more or less the same the only difference being who was better at taking a hit so she had some confidence in being able to fight off some of the children. But there was apparently no need to worry as the first boy who reached the sickly boy quickly fell to the floor unconscious, the boy that fell was the son of a guard and at least half a head taller than the sickly boy but he fell to the floor none the less. The rest of the children stopped their charge at the sickly boy from fear of what he might do to them, they were children not brave warriors when they saw one of their biggest companions fall they would naturally back down. ¡°So what you can beat some of us now, that won''t last long we will become strong warriors and you will still be weak and frail.¡± Saill said her piece and left with the rest of the children following her while dragging the boy who had fallen to the floor. Nixie couldn¡¯t believe this development and just sat dumbfounded for a while before finally coming to her senses. ¡°Thank you for helping me. I''m Nixie daughter of the head butcher.¡± ¡°No problem, I''m Sixth. Did you want to become a warrior?¡± The subject was still a sore spot for her as this was exactly what she wanted to avoid thinking about but he had just helped her so answering a couple questions would be fine. ¡°Yea but now that not going to happen. You saw during the test I have a water elemental affinity.¡± Nixie looked Sixth wondering why he wanted to know about her. ¡°Good that''s perfect.¡± Hearing him speak she wanted to beat him to a bloody pulp, how was her not being able to become a warrior perfect. ¡°I came up with a water element cultivation technique and although I can''t guarantee that it would be one hundred percent successful it will be better than nothing.¡± Nixie¡¯s eyes went wide, he created a water element cultivation technique?, even Sixth¡¯s attendant¡¯s eyes went wide looking at him. ¡°Really!?¡± she exclaimed in shock. Sixth just smiled and nodded. ¡°But you have to promise not to tell anyone about it and cultivate it secretly, you can only tell your immediate family. And you can''t share the details about the cultivation technique with anyone under any circumstances.¡± All the conditions seemed perfect for her if she could increase her strength and fight savage beasts then even if she had to wait a while to reveal her strength would it matter. ¡°Okay I promise.¡± ¡°Okay first can you read?¡± ¡°Yes¡± from a young age Nixie wanted to be a warrior and to become one she would have to read the tribe¡¯s cultivation manual so for the last two years she worked hard on being able to read and although her proficiency wasn¡¯t great she would be able to read the cultivation technique. ¡°Good then follow me to my tent, I''ll write down the cultivation technique and help with any parts you don''t understand after you memorize it completely we¡¯ll destroy the written version so that no one can steal it.¡± Unauthorized reproduction: this story has been taken without approval. Report sightings. ******** Sechs walked back to his tent with Tekone and Nixie feeling happy. As for taking care of a couple of kids, even with a weaker body he had much more fighting experience and knew the best places to strike a person. In helping Nixie he would be closer to accomplishing his goals. First he would be able to see the difference in potential of the martial arts manuals from earth and the ones from the savage lands and second if Nixie told her parents the he helped her they might let him kill a few beasts and take their hearts. From what he knew the people of the tribe didn¡¯t put any special meaning to the organs of a beast and looked at them as simple meat. Inside the tent Sechs asked Tekone to get four things for him some animal skins to write down the [Ice Jade Blade] technique, writing utensils, a large wooden stick, and a knife to shape the wooden stick into an appropriate blade for training in the technique. When Tekone left to gather what he asked for Sechs began to verbally teach Nixie the [Ice Jade Blade] technique. The technique consisted of four parts, the first part is what he intended to teach Nixie for now it was the process of tempering the body with ice elemental energy. ¡°First follow the instructions I have given you then we will start on the sword forms when you get the hang of this part and I have completed a wooded sword for you.¡± Looking at Nixie, Sechs wondered what the difference between the cultivation techniques of the tribe would have offered her if she didn¡¯t have a water elemental affinity and the technique he was teaching her. ¡°Okay then I will continue and practice gathering water elemental energy and turning it into the ice element.¡± This was the first part of the first step of the [Ice Jade Blade] technique, being able to turn the water element into the ice element. Ice and water were the same thing the difference lied in the movement of molecules following this thought the [Ice Jade Blade]¡¯s fist step was to slow down the movement of the energy until it became ice and began freezing the water elemental energy around it. Nodding at Nixie''s determination Sechs sat and began meditating without elemental energy all he could practice was the [Six Winged Angel] technique to strengthen his mind and soul. Sechs thought about passing on this technique to Nixie as well but decided against it thinking that with some time he could modify it to integrate the ice element. When Tekone returned Sechs thanked her and immediately began writing down the information on the [Ice Jade Blade] technique and drawing all the sword forms for the first part. The sword forms served two purposes one was to build a foundation for the next level of sword arts in the later parts of the technique the second was to tire out a person and make their body thirst for energy which would come in the form of ice elemental energy. Recalling his previous thoughts Sechs asked for one thing, a copy of the tribe¡¯s [Raging Mammoth] technique to compare it to his own techniques. ¡°Young master I will have to ask Shaman Lumi for the technique as I am not allowed to take a copy.¡± ¡°That''s fine please ask mother for it.¡± Tekone left once more and Sechs began working on a wooden sword for Nixie according to the details of the [Ice Jade Blade] technique. For the next five days Nixie continued to have no success with transforming the water element into ice. ¡°Think of it in small pieces slow them down but not just their movement, slow the energy in it¡¯s entirety Then allow that frozen piece to freeze the rest of the elemental energy you gathered.¡± Finally nixie was able to gain some insight into the freezing of water elemental energy and slowly converted very thing she gathered into ice elemental energy. But she wasn¡¯t able to take in any of the energy as her body would not withstand it without tiring herself out first. Seeing her accomplishment Sechs smiled. ¡°Here take this sword and preform all the sword stances repeatedly until you have perfected them or fall from exhaustion.¡± Saying this he handed Nixie a double edged straight sword with a three foot long blade and no guard. Nixie was ecstatic, for the last five days she worked hard on transforming the water element and after her success she would be able to start practicing the sword arts. What she was given was a way to reach her goals from Sixth with him never asking her anything in return. The only thing that annoyed her was that her parents didn¡¯t have much faith in a technique that a young boy made and she was now made to help her dad in butchering small savage beasts that were brought up as live sock. ¡°Nixie for your house work do you help your father?¡± Just as she was thinking about it sixth seemed to be able to read her mind. ¡°Yea if I could finish faster than I would have more time to cultivate with you but I don''t.¡± She sighed cultivating would go slowly as she was just five and her body would not be able to handle the strain if she cultivated at full force. At most if she regulated her cultivation to the more extreme points she would be able to enter the early stage of the mortal realm by the time she was ten. The mortal realm was divided into four stages early, middle, top, and peak. An early stage mortal realm warrior would be able to lift 300 pounds and move extremely fast, the mortal realm focused on training the body. After one reached the peak of the mortal realm he or she would decide to follow the path of an aura warrior of a shaman. A shaman would focus on the manipulation and application of elemental energy in its raw form while an aura warrior would convert it into an aura to cover themselves in elemental energy and strengthen themselves or use it to excite martial techniques. ¡°Although I can''t do much or for a long time I can help you finish a bit faster.¡± Hearing him say that Nixie was delighted. ¡°Okay I''ll tell my father that you''ll help me with some of my work and then we can come back here and continue training.¡± The Cloaked Fallen Chapter 5 Chapter 5: From Monster to Genius Tekone sat on a fur rug watching her young master look at the tribe¡¯s cultivation technique with a complicated expression. After some days Shaman Lumi was able to get permission for the young master too obtain a copy of the [Raging Mammoth] technique. Once the young master had it in his hands he immediately began reading it and after a couple of minutes a complicated expression surfaced on his face. Tekone believed it to be due to the complexity of the technique, regardless of how smart the young master was it shouldn¡¯t be possible for him to comprehend a cultivation technique in a couple of minutes. But contrary to her thoughts Sechs was thinking something completely different. ¡®Isn¡¯t this technique too crude?¡¯ the raging mammoth technique was in his opinion very crude. The techniques he had were much more refined than the one available to his tribe. It was so low tiered that if he made a couple of casual changes he would be able to greatly improve the technique. What made it crude was the use of elemental energy in it¡¯s raw form. If used this way the elemental energy would have at least thirty percent impurities. With the [Ice Jade Blade] and [Blaze Wolf] techniques the elemental energy gathered would go through a transformation or refining process making the elemental energy pure and much stronger than in its raw state. For example the ice Jade Blade technique would freeze water elemental energy and the coldness of it would destroy any impurities in it. On top of ignoring the impurities of the raw elemental energy the technique also ignored the impurities of the body. The technique was created by watching raging mammoths as they grew, naturally taking in earth elemental energy into their bodies and was a copy of the movements of the elemental energy in their bodies. But these mammoths were born with very few impurities in their bodies and didn¡¯t worry about them. As for humans? They were born completely pure but were also the fastest to gain impurities, by the time a human started cultivating his or her body would be filled with impurities. The techniques humans worked on in order to be successful would require one to fully cleanse his or her body. Thinking along those lines Sechs understood why there was such a large difference between the cultivation techniques he took from the facility and the one the Raging Mammoth tribe¡¯s ancestor created. Martial artist on earth had little elemental energy to work with meaning they had to work on quality over quantity, for this reason all top tier martial arts techniques on earth included the refinement of elemental energy. The other difference was the martial artist¡¯s body, for those of the savage lands beasts who quickly gathered the abundant elemental energy in their bodies were the epitome of strength. Following this logic if they strengthened their bodies the same way, wouldn¡¯t they be just as strong, but by doing so they strengthened their bodies as a whole impurities and all. The only other ting was the conversion of elemental energy into an aura but Sechs quickly realized that his techniques would also lead to the development of an aura. Noting the differences Sechs was glad he came to this world with his knowledge of martial arts if he practiced such a crude cultivation technique it would most likely ruin his foundations to enter into higher realms. Thinking about his future and how chaotic this world seemed to be Sechs once more approved of his idea of helping Nixie as having a companion to help him would be great. Finishing up with the [Raging Mammoth] technique he began writing on some separate animal skins. On these skins he wrote vast improvements to the technique, originally this cultivation technique would only help a person reach the middle aura realm. With his improvements not only would one be able to reach peak aura realm but also in a much stronger state than what would be possible for the average aura realm warrior. These improvements did not place the technique on the same level as his techniques but it was his quick attempt at helping his clan. ¡°Tekone give these to mother and make sure to tell her that these techniques would most benefit those at the mortal realm, above the mortal real it will help but not by much.¡± Seeing the parchments the young master handed to her Tekone took them with great care and hurried to the young master¡¯s mother. Although she didn¡¯t think the young master could make any improvements to their clans cultivation technique letting the young master¡¯s mother see his attempts would help alleviate the worry she had about him making a cultivation technique. Glyn and Lumi both sat staring at a bundle of parchments written by Sixth while Tekone waited to be allowed to go back to her young master. ¡°Tekone your saying after reading through the tribe¡¯s cultivation technique Sixth was able to improve it this much?¡± Glyn looked at Tekone with a complicated expression. ¡°Yes.¡± ¡°Did anyone aside from you and Sixth see this?¡± ¡°No.¡± Hearing this Glyn couldn¡¯t help but smile. From what he understood about this new cultivation technique it would be possible for him who was at the early aura realm to reach top aura realm, sadly he wasn¡¯t in the mortal realm if he was he would be able to reach peak aura realm. ¡°Tekone did Sixth come up with any other cultivation techniques?¡± The one to ask this was Lumi she was a shaman and didn¡¯t have the same level of interest in the improved technique as her husband, instead she worried about her son and his health. ¡°¡ Yes, shaman Lumi but he has not used it as he didn¡¯t develop it for himself.¡± Tekone wasn¡¯t sure whether or not she should say anything about the technique the young master developed for Nixie but Shaman Lumi was her benefactor and the young master¡¯s mother so giving some information would be acceptable. The narrative has been taken without permission. Report any sightings. Lumi was surprised by this as she didn¡¯t think her son had so much talent, he was always smarter than the other children and understood anything he was told rapidly but to develop a cultivation technique for another person was just monstrous. But at the same time she wanted to give her son a good scolding. ¡°Why and who did he creat a cultivation technique for if he hasn¡¯t even started cultivating himself?¡± This was the reason she was upset if he could creat a cultivation technique and vastly improve the clan¡¯s cultivation technique wouldn¡¯t it be a better idea to start his own cultivation to ensure his survival. Even without the knowledge that he would have to fight a savage beast at the age of fifteen the savage lands were a harsh place. ¡°He created a cultivation technique for Nixie daughter of the head butcher, as for why I do not know.¡± Lumi thought about Tekone¡¯s response and decided to go see her son. ¡°Glyn we¡¯re going to go see Sixth now.¡± Normally she acted the part of the submissive wife but she was a middle apprentice realm shaman making her stronger than her husband and currently she was to distracted by other thoughts to play her part. ¡°Yes we should go see him and talk about his achievements, also some possible rewards to help him in creating his own cultivation technique.¡± Glyn didn¡¯t mind his wife dropping the submissive act while they were along and Tekone was the attendant of his son so she would not say anything about it. Having agreed the three walked out of the to Sixth¡¯s tent. ¡°Sixth we¡¯re coming in.¡± Lumi was somewhat hurried even if her son could somehow make cultivation techniques his body was still frail so he would not be able to quickly train. As for the fight against a savage beast he would have to at least reach the mid mortal realm to survive. This was an easy enough test for any strong child of the Raging mammoth tribe but her son wasn¡¯t a strong child. ¡°Mother, Father come in.¡± Looking at her son Lumi was instantly less hurried for an explanation regarding her son¡¯s reasons for making a cultivation technique for someone else. ¡°Sixth, you improved the tribe¡¯s cultivation technique by a large amount, but we shouldn¡¯t reveal this to anyone yet.¡± Glyn spoke first before Lumi had a chance to begin questioning their son. To him the tribe as a whole nod his position in the tribe were more important than his son¡¯s reasons for helping a girl in cultivation. ¡°Yes father.¡± ¡°Good for the next five years your older siblings and I will train in this new version of the technique when you are ten we will reveal that you were the one to improve the technique. If will reveal it now you will be seen as an abnormal monster at least if your ten we can say you did so after spending five years on the technique and you will just be seen as a great genius.¡± ¡°Yes father.¡± Glyn nodded in approval of his son¡¯s willingness to listen to his instructions. ¡°Now your mother has some things to say after she¡¯s done we will discuss a suitable reward for you.¡± This was something he quickly added as he noticed his wife was beginning to grow impatient. ¡°Son have you created a suitable technique for yourself?¡± To Lumi this was the most important thing as it concerned her son¡¯s safety and future prospects. ¡°Yes mother but I am currently unable to train in it.¡± Hearing this she was both delighted and devastated. ¡°Son quickly tell me what it is you need to help you cultivate and I will do everything in my power to help you.¡± ¡°Mother do not worry all I need is some time and I will be able to cultivate.¡± Hearing his confidant voice Lumi felt a weight lift off her shoulders, for the last five years she worried about her son and now she would be able to watch over him like she had done for her other children. While feeling relived her husband spoke once more. ¡°You created a cultivation technique for a girl, why?¡± When he heard this Sechs was slightly startled and it showed on his face, although he had a strong mind and soul his body was still that of a child including his brain so at times when his guard was lowered his reactions would resemble one. Seeing her son surprised and somewhat flustered Lumi misunderstood his reaction. ¡®Does Sixth have a little crush on the girl, he was always more mature than other children but this is a bit fast.¡¯ Sechs saw the misunderstanding in his mothers eyes but decided to let it go as coming up with an excuse could bring more trouble if they saw though his lies. ¡°Regardless I promised you a reward, when you think of some thing come see me or send Tekone with a request.¡± Concluding the reason for their visit both his parents left. Sechs sat and asked Tekone to not tell anyone the actual sword moves or the sword arts or the cultivation technique. Even when she told his mother of the cultivation technique Sechs did not begin to distrust Tekone or reprimand her for not keeping it a secret, after all to him having a family was the greatest of things after the way he lost his in his past life and Tekone was like a caring older sister to him. From Nixie he learned that just outside of the savage lands were paces ruled by humans and that was his goal. Once he reached an adequate amount of strength he would leave the savage lands and take his family with him or leave them with enough strength to fight off any savage beast without the need to constantly fear the peak second realm beast. With that in mind he continued to train in the [Six Winged Angel]. With a stronger soul he would be able to raise his perceptiveness in all things including fighting and cultivation techniques. Meaning he would be able to further gain insights and make variations of his techniques that would suit Nixie and his own mysterious origin element when the time came. The Cloaked Fallen chapter 6 Chapter 6: first steps Sechs sat in front of Nixie, watching her as she went though and repeated fifteen sword forms. They were now eight years old and Nixie matured quickly under power of the [Ice Jade Blade], [Snow Fairy¡¯s Wings], and [Snow Fairy¡¯s body] techniques. The latter two where techniques Sechs created after a year of pondering the perfect way to integrate the ice element into the [Six Winged Angel] and [Undead King] techniques. Although she was just eight Nixie looked to be at least twelve. These techniques would not lead her to creat an aura and instead focused solely on the body. In term of strength she was comparable to an early mortal realm cultivator. If the tribe were to know that an eight year old girl could match some of their trained warriors in strength they would be shocked, but what was even more impressive was her skill with a sword. In the [Ice Jade Blade] manual there were three levels of sword comprehension perfect feeling of the sword, sword and body as one, and sword body and world as one. About a month ago she reached perfect feeling of the sword giving her deadly accuracy with the wooden sword she held in her hands. Sechs on the other hand only made progress in the [Six Winged Angel] technique which slowly strengthened his mind and soul but even that had limits without the aid of the pure energy he required to cultivate. But that would no longer be a problem as starting today he would be helping Nixie kill livestock and in exchange for every three that he killed and dismembered he would receive a portion. That portion would obviously be the raw heart of some of the livestock he killed. While lost in his thoughts Nixie shook him to get his attention. ¡°Sixth, we need to talk about something important.¡± Sechs detected nervousness in her voice and decided to hear her out as trying to guess what she was thinking was rather hard at times. ¡°What about?¡± Seeing her face turn slightly red Sechs was puzzled. ¡°Um¡ There¡¯s a wired feeling when I simultaneously practice the three techniques like you said... and for the last month I haven¡¯t made any improvements in anything but sword arts.¡± Sechs was startled as he would be using similar techniques and it would be very troublesome if they couldn¡¯t be used to go any higher than the early mortal realm. ¡°Um¡ I saw how Shaman Lumi inscribed a rune on Tekone and what happened to her is what I felt, but I felt natural like the world was inscribing the runes¡ But the elemental energy around was not sufficient and I can''t gather enough ice elemental energy¡ Can you help?¡± Sechs still didn¡¯t quite comprehend her nervousness but ignored the reason why, as for helping her gather elemental energy it would indeed be possible for him to do so. ¡°Yes I can act as a container for elemental energy, but I can not gather it myself so you will have to gather the ice elemental energy and send it to me. I will hold as much as possible and release it as you need it.¡± When he said this Nixie had a delighted expression but grew even more nervous as her face turned bright red. Sechs was now truly at a loss for words as he could not comprehend why she would act like this. While he was puzzled Tekone began laughing. ¡°Young master you are puzzled as to her red face correct?¡± Nixie noticing that Tekone would say something about her condition quickly bolted in front of her and dragged her outside. Over the years they spent together seeing Tekone laugh was a rare thing as she had a serious personality. After a while Nixie returned but Tekone stood outside waiting for Nixie to tell her young master what she was going to tell him before being dragged outside. ¡°Sixth, when a rune is inscribed¡ The body of that person is¡ Bare.¡± Immediately sechs understood her troubles, girls would normally not be shy about these things at the age of eight but those of the savage lands matured fast and Nixie matured even faster due to the techniques she cultivated. As for how to answer her statement Sechs was at a loss, in terms of attraction he had none for the eight year old girl so seeing her bare wasn¡¯t really an issue for him even if she looked older than her age she was still a child and had no appeal for Sechs who had previously lived to the age of thirty. ¡°Well we can proceed in the method I spoke of if you so desire or you can continue to attempt to gather enough elemental energy on your own.¡± Nixie then thought about it and had a resolute look on her face. ¡°Please help me gather elemental energy.¡± Saying this ice elemental energy began to flow around her and directed at Sixth. When the pure elemental energy entered his body Sechs had some desire to keep it but quickly let go of that thought as seeing a rune naturally form would be interesting and important to him who would use similar techniques. After having gathered a large amount of elemental energy in his boy Sechs began coughing, unable to hold anymore. ¡°Sixth are you okay?¡± Nixie stopped the transfer of elemental energy worried that she could hurt him, the amount that she transferred to him was more than what she could circulate in her body and keep control of. ¡°I''m fine but this is all I can hold. Let''s proceed.¡± Nixie then felt nervous as she began to undress, when she was done she coved her important parts with her hands and looked at Sixth. But his lack of reaction slightly disappointed her, she knew he was more mature than her or any of their generation but she didn¡¯t expect him to have absolutely no reaction to her naked body. Love what you''re reading? Discover and support the author on the platform they originally published on. Seeing him like this she gave a sigh and sat down cross legged no longer covering herself, and began to simultaneously cultivate all three techniques given to her. Sechs sat looking at her, waiting for the perfect time to release the stored ice elemental energy. After some time passed the temperature in the tent grew cold, soon ice elemental energy began to circulate on Nixie''s back. As it¡¯s revolutions slowed five dim snowflakes appeared in the elemental energy. Seeing the snowflakes grow dimmer Sechs released all the elemental energy towards Nixie. When the elemental energy mixed with what was gathered the outcome was far from what Sechs expected. Instead of it being as simple as one plus one the energy multiplied, seemingly taking all the energy in a thirty foot radius and Turing it to ice elemental energy. The dim barely discernible snow flakes became radiant with a multitude of complex patterns. These patterns slowly moved to Nixie two placed themselves on her upper back, two on her lower back, and one in the center of her back. ¡®With five of these runes, if they can be called that, she has entered the first realm of a runic warrior. Could it be that the techniques I have are for naturally forming runic warriors and not aura warriors?¡¯ With this she would be considered the equivalent to an early mortal real cultivator. This world had aura warriors a concept that his previous wold lacked so naturally that was not the path that martial arts manuals from his world would lead to. Instead for the purity and effectiveness the martial arts manuals pursued it seemed the world would grant them natural runes. Because of the sudden change in temperature his body could not help but shiver. Nixie saw Sixth shivering and called in Tekone together they were able to rap him up in some blankets as he fell asleep. ¡°Tekone, please don''t tell anyone about this.¡± Nixie did not want anyone to know about the natural runes given the fact that this was something given to her by Sixth and without his permission she would not let anyone know. Seeing Nixie sitting over her young master bare she smiled. ¡°Do you know what it means for a female runic warrior to be inscribed on by a male shaman?¡± Nixie didn¡¯t know what Tekone was leading to but from her tone of voice it couldn¡¯t be anything bad. ¡°No.¡± ¡°Then let me tell you, although the young master isn¡¯t a shaman he assisted in inscribing those runes onto you. By tradition when a male shaman inscribed runes onto a female runic warrior it is a promise almost equivalent to marriage.¡± Hearing this Nixie¡¯s face turned three shades redder, she prepared ear self for being seen by Sixth she even thought of ways to have the two of them be together in the future but a sudden promise of marriage was still to stimulating for her young mind. Because of her embarrassment she quickly got dressed and ran out of the tent heading back to her families tent. Sechs slept peacefully not knowing he had just been engaged to a girl through traditions he knew nothing about. The next morning he walked to the area designated for livestock, greeted some of the workers and moved to a pen were some of the livestock were kept. Seeing the creatures he recognized from the encyclopedia, they were fire hens. Fire hens looked just like chickens but were twice the size of one from Earth, they were considered early first realm beasts. ¡®Finally this is the first step to my cultivation.¡¯ Although they were much stronger that Sechs the hens rapidly retreated after seeing the hungry look in his eyes. Calming himself Sechs fed the hens some grains containing sleeping drugs so he could calmly kill the beasts. After ten or so minutes all the beast were sound asleep and ready to be killed. Holding the first hen in his arms he immediately slit it throat and plucked all its feathers, next was the most crucial step with the knife in his hands Sechs began removing the heart of the beast. The heart was small only the size of his small palm but it contained what he needed and he threw it into his mouth without any reservations. In total he killed six hens and took two hearts in accordance to the deal he made regarding his payment. With both hearts an their way to his stomach and his work done Sechs left he butchered hens with a worker and went back to his tent. In his tent he began to dissolve the hearts into pure energy, the process was something he had long since mastered. First he refined the heart into elemental fire energy then continued to refine it into a pure energy. This pure energy was much greater that what he previously received from the elder during the test some years ago. It was even comparable to the full amount he would have received from taking all the ice elemental energy from Nixie. As he circulated the pure energy he could feel the frailness from his body leaving him, but two hearts would not be enough. If he continued eating two fire hen hearts a day then it would take him at least a tear to catch up to the current Nixie but that wouldn¡¯t be a problem as long as he could convince Nixie¡¯s father to give him more work. By increasing his work he would also increase his reward. The strongest livestock the tribe kept were the fire hens but occasionally warriors would bring back some savage beasts at the peak of the first realm witch would most likely have great amounts of strength. The Cloaked Fallen Chapter 7 Chapter 7: bottleneck After a year of eating the hearts of early first realm beasts Sechs had reached the peak of his previous life. But this would not be enough for him to survive in this new much more dangerous world. The only thing that slightly irked him was that his appearance didn¡¯t change much, to others he still looked like a small, thin, and frail boy. However this also had som advantages, if an enemy underestimated him killing them would be much simpler. Having reached the age of nine he was told a couple of things by his mother in regards to the clan, including the fact that he would have to fight a savage beast when he turned fifteen. For him this would be a simple matter. In just one year he recovered his strength from his former life and if he was given six more reaching the peak of the mortal realm should not be difficult. Other than his improvement he also helped Nixie with more runes, her runes where almost the same color as her snow white skin and the only clearly discernible ones were the five on her back. The patterns however were not letter like runes and instead looked like lovely swirls of ice that grew with each addition of a rune. Seeing as how she needed help with her runes Sechs had a slight worry that he would not be able to produce the same effect when he used his three techniques simultaneously. Having eaten two hearts a day also gave Sechs a greater appreciation for the power of savage beasts as it had taken him at least ten years of constant killing and devouring to reach the strength he had now. With the use of the pure energy Sechs now made full use of the [Six winged angel] and [Undead King] techniques allocating all the energy he gathered to the two techniques evenly. The [Heart devouring] technique was only a method of gathering pure energy and would slowly disperse it through out the body but with such great body refining techniques such as the [Undead King] technique he didn''t have to patiently wait for it to slowly course through his body. As for becoming an aura warrior although he understood it to an extent he did not have a solid way to reach the aura realm while at it strongest form. For this he decided to wait until he could roam about freely and find a powerful school, sect, clan, or tribe he could join in order to receive the best aura warrior cultivation techniques. For this reason he also instructed Nixie not to proceed in the direction of becoming an aura warrior. ¡®Now it''s time I started to practice fighting techniques, Nixie has already chosen to follow the path of the sword but I don''t have any particular weapon I like.¡¯ Thinking this Sechs crafted a variety of weapons swords of different lengths, spears, war hammers, maces, bows, and daggers. Previously he only practiced his hand to hand combat techniques but one could not fight everything empty handed, some beasts had hides as tough as steel and a person would need a greater weapon in order to kill it. Having crafted all the weapons he began picking them up one by one and began to perfect their use. Outside the tent Lumi could see her son picking up ever weapon he crafted out of wood and use them as if they were an extension of his own arm. ¡°Good although he still looks somewhat week his real strength is already at the early mortal realm.¡± When she saw that she no longer had to worry about him and next year he would be able to name himself all she could feel was joy, her other children were also her biggest pride but she never worried as much for one as much as she did for Sixth. That was because all her children were exceptionally strong and capable of looking out for themselves at the age of twelve, and even before then no one would dare look at them in scorn as they were the brute future of the tribe. And now with the improved [Ragging Mammoth] technique they were on their way to becoming peak aura warriors, with a little luck and some insights they might even reach the artifact realm. Leaving she went to go find her husband and inform him of the good news when she stumbled across Nixie. Having turned nine she already had the appearance of a lively young girl at the age of fourteen, from her conjectures it was due to the techniques she trained in. In the tribe she was considered a beautiful treasure that all parents wanted for their sons, those of the age between sixteen and eighteen would constantly watch her and send their parents to ask the head butcher for her. But all were rejected completely by her before her father eve had a chance to speak, even one of her own sons made a foolhardy attempt to impress her. Others believed that she was being stubborn and wished to marry into the highest ranks but they didn¡¯t have the information that Lumi was privy to. Despite her fairy like delicate appearance she would most likely be the strongest in her generation from the few things that Lumi was able to pry out from Tekone even a top mortal realm aura warrior would fall to her blade. What made Lumi laugh even more on the inside was that her son had won her about a year ago without knowing, after half a year of teasing Nixie about her relationship with Sixth she found out about the runes. ¡°Nixie come here, are you headed to your husband¡¯s house?¡± Her teasing had worked and Nixie¡¯s face turned slightly red, as Nixie grew her reactions to teasing lessened but that was only on the outside Lumi knew what her real feelings were and how to poke her in those sensitive areas to get some fun reactions. ¡°Shaman Lumi, I am not yet married and will only do so after my partner and I have reached an appropriate age.¡± You might be reading a stolen copy. Visit Royal Road for the authentic version. ¡°Ah but you also have so many suitors who want you now they may grow rather impatient and try something if you don''t announce something quick.¡± This was actually a worrying matter for Lumi as some of the more spoiled children who desired Nixie have already made cases of them deserving her for their excellence and contribution to the tribe. The only thing that kept them back was her husband Glyn who had given a stern warning to the older generation not to get involved. ¡°humph let them come I''ll let them have a taste of what true fear is.¡± In reality she did have little to fear as only someone of the aura realm could subdue her even a peak mortal real cultivator would not be able to stop her from escaping unless he or she was prepared to pay a great price. Having only seven runes she should be considered an early first realm runic warrior but she already had the strength to fight off a top first real cultivator. ¡°Haha good and tell my son not to over work himself, although he hasn¡¯t gotten any sicker his complexion is still bad and he is still rather thin so he shouldn¡¯t over exert himself.¡± Today Nixie felt pure joy and bliss as her grandfather was coming back home for a time, normally he stayed at the edges of the tribe in order to defend against any savage beast that attacked. Now that her whole family would be assembled she would show them her true power and tell them about her engagement to Sixth, her family was considered small as her dad only married one wife and she was their only child. Normally a family in a tribe would consist of at least sic or seven individuals but her father devoted his whole into his profession and would not have time for a large family but with a smaller one it would be simple to spend an adequate amount of time with his wife and daughter. As she walked she heard a small commotion and decided to take a look. ¡°You trash what have you done to Nixie that she refuses my big brother, I''ve seen her go into your tent multiple times.¡± ¡°Yea tell us what dirty tricks you used to get your filthy hands on her!¡± ¡°The tribe doesn¡¯t except the week and the strong make the rules, we are the strong and we say that she doesn¡¯t belong to you.¡± Seeing the children they were almost the same ones who ganged up on her some years ago. The leader of the boys was was the same large boy who Sixth had brought down in one hit previously. ¡°Then the answer is simple if those are the rules, she can make her own choices.¡± Hearing that she smiled taking that as a cue that she would be allowed to revile her strength and show that she was the strong one and could make her own decisions. But as she got closer she was stope by Tekone. ¡°The young master has stated that he would be able to deal with this on his own.¡± Hearing Tekone speak Nixie was confused, in all her time with Sixth although he had grown healthy he never cultivated in any technique or trained any fighting arts. So how was he going to beat a group of children who had already entered the early mortal realm. ¡°She isn''t able to cultivate he tribe¡¯s technique even if she does look better than the average girl she isn''t strong and cannot refuse to marry my brother he has already reached the top mortal realm and will soon become an aura warrior, in the tribe his talent is the greatest in his generation so he can do whatever he wants with who ever he want.¡± Sechs sighed looking at the children they really matured to quickly in the savage lands, no child at the age of nine would be thinking of beating another so that his older brother could have his way with a girl. ¡°Then stop this pointless rambling and come I have things to do.¡± Seeing his unfazed demeanor the other children were agitated as they felt they were being looked down on by someone weaker. ¡°Four years ago you beat me but I''ve been cultivating since then and today I''ll break all your bones!¡± With a load roar the large boy who towered over Sechs by at least two heads charged. Seeing the simple charge Sechs jumped over the child while flipping in the air when he was just above the head of the boys who¡¯s name he never learned Sechs¡¯ heal landed a solid blow on the child¡¯s head and knocked him out completely. The other children were now wary of Sechs but did not disperse immediately like the first time when they were five. ¡°There are more of us charge together.¡± Seeing the wave of children rushing at him Sechs shook his head and moved forward throwing out casual punches as he dodged anything that came his way. To others he seemed to be taking a stroll maids the chaotic charge of children while casually swinging his hands but after a couple of seconds all the children were on the floor groaning in pain while he stood triumphant against them. Sechs did not stay for long and continued thinking as he walked. ¡®I''ve reached the bottleneck and will need to store energy in order to brake through to the five runic warrior realm. For now I can''t make any progress with any techniques so I will continue storing energy while practicing combat arts.¡¯ From afar Glyn looked on at his son feeling proud, previous to this incident he could only feel that his son would die at the hands a a weak savage beast. Even though he contributed the new [Ragging Mammoth] technique the clan would not recognize that as talent only when one could fight and defeat his opponents would one gain recognition. And today his son stood against multiple enemies and won without so much as breaking a sweat. The Cloaked Fallen chapter 8 Chapter 8: smile that brings down kingdoms In three months Sechs was full to the point of feeling blots from pure energy he stored inside his body. Having reached the bottleneck for entering the five rune realm, in terms of raw power he was much stronger than Nixie was before she entered the five rune realm. Nixie¡¯s real strength was in her speed and precision were as Sechs focused on raw power and durability. Over time Nixie also reached an astonishing level in her sword play, Sechs wasn''t partial to any weapon and slightly preferred to fight bare handed. Although he didn¡¯t have any hand to hand fighting manuals his experience in his past life was plentiful. Sitting on a fur rug Sechs began to circulate the pure energy around the whole of his body as instructed by the [Undead King] technique as well as into his consciousness according to the [Six Winged Angel] technique. As he did so his body didn¡¯t feel any progression in strength but the surrounding started to pulsate according to his heart¡¯s rhythm. As the atmosphere began to pulsate with stronger beats every second as massive amounts of pure energy were released from inside Sechs¡¯ body joining the pulsating growing larger and larger. Sechs felt horrible though out this process as all the energy drained from his body, the pain far exceeded that of his organs melting slowly. But regardless of what he felt the only option Sechs had was to endure. In all the pain Sechs found a strange sort of clarity in his mind but didn¡¯t explore the feeling further as relief came just as fast as the pain. Looking around Sechs found every thing inside his tent in a state of disorder. The various furs were thrown to the edges of the tent and the one he sat on was torn in every direction with his as the center. That however wasn¡¯t the most important thing to have changed, Sechs could feel an obvious change in his body. Normally he would be somewhat stronger than an early mortal realm aura warrior being able to pick up a 300 pound boulder but now he felt like his strength was at least doubled. If his estimations were correct then he could match a mid mortal realm aura warrior and if he used all his fighting techniques he could possibly fend off a top mortal realm aura warrior. While examining himself he focused on both his body and soul. While he focused on his soul he discovered that it strengthened considerably, with his strengthened soul he was now able to use an ability that Tekone spoke to him about, inner sight. Inner sight was something that generally only strong aura realm warriors possessed due to the influence that cultivating aura had on the soul. With his inner sight Sechs began a detailed examination of his body. Inside his body his heart moved from it¡¯s original position to make room for an invisible face that pulsated pure energy through his body following his various arteries and veins. Focusing on this second energy heart that barely seemed to have any substance Sechs smiled thinking that now gathering energy and feeding his body with it would be much more efficient now compared to when he did it following instructions and his gut feeling. The second most notable thing was the runes on his back, his runes didn''t stop at just five instead he had six. Three were perfect black feathers with an elegance to them that made on think or a refined bird from the most noble of bloodlines on the left side of his back. On the right side were three golden bones with cracks running through them, any who saw these would think that they belonged to the most savage of beasts. This was a stark contrast between the two types of runes, focusing closer on the bone rune it seemed to resemble the bone of a bird¡¯s wing. This was the results of combining the technique [Six Winged Angel], [Undead King], [Devouring Hearts] with the three of them stimulating his growth in different aspects their combination into a single complete technique was inevitable. Tekone felt the pulsation going on in her young master¡¯s tent but the force was to great for her to rush in and make sure about his safety, now that it was gone she called out to him but received no response. Worrying about her young master all sorts of thoughts about him having some failure during his cultivation surfaced. Her young master was only nine and she never felt the flow of elemental energy around him, in her eyes this was her young master¡¯s first attempt at cultivation. Rushing inside she saw her young master sitting in a room full of disorder and chaos, most of the fur rugs were torn or thrown to the ends of the small two person tent in which she and her young master lived. Seeing her young master¡¯s body Tekone couldn¡¯t help but feel delighted in seeing the six tattoo like markings on his back. She was a rune warrior but her runes were closer to letters while Nixie and her young master¡¯s were closer to intricate designs. But a slight frown also appeared on her face as she realized that his body did not change much on the outside. This was something that always worried her, as he always looked extremely frail with pasty white skill and was generally shorter than most children his age by at least a head. ¡°Tekone could you get me some clothes.¡± Sechs¡¯ words brought her out of her thoughts and he watched her as she left to get him something to wear. Standing up he looked around himself and noted that he would also need a bath as breaking through to the five rune warrior realm was accompanied by a cleansing of the impurities in his body. The impurities weren¡¯t many as most of them had been removed prior to his breakthrough. Once Tekone returned he also requested some water and a rag to was himself with. But his thoughts were elsewhere during his bath. Reaching a higher realm would be easy so long it was within the mortal realm, but he truly didn¡¯t understand the aura realm and above. In order to reach his goal of living freely and unchained he would need strength. Support the creativity of authors by visiting the original site for this novel and more. If a book in the savage land spoke about realms much higher than anyone in the tribe had ever reached it only stood to reason that others would have reached it there could even be some at the artifact realm in these savage lands without anyone¡¯s knowledge. And to further his growth he would need to reach at least the fifteen rune realm and leave the savage lands to obtain cultivation techniques and further his growth. He would also need some techniques for Nixie as he didn¡¯t possess any ice aura cultivation techniques. Now able to fight with those of the top mortal realm Sechs resolved himself to show his power to the tribe and be allowed to join the guard were he would encounter savage beasts and obtain their hearts. But the problem would be his appearance and the fact that he would not be fully recognized as a member of the tribe until he reached the age of ten and chose his name. when he chose his name he would be able to take the tribe''s name as a sort of surname and would instantly be recognized as a full member of the clan. Walking out of his tent now dressed in new fur clothing Sechs began to feel a sense of wonder looking around at the scattered tents. His body had truly become a marble all his senses were much greater than they had been just a few moments ago. Even from a distance he could make out the various people walking around and going about their work. From afar he also caught sight of Nixie being pestered by various children some of them much older than her. Sechs could only smile at how loyal she was in following his words not to reveal her true strength, moving closer he thought that she had endured enough and revealing her strength would not cause to many problems. ¡°Haha Nixie this mater has already been decided by my grandfather as he is an elder in the tribe it¡¯s impossible for your parents to decline giving you to me. Humph, your father¡¯s position is under his authority so come with me and you''ll help him.¡± This kid was as big as a robust sixteen year olds on earth but he was only about fourteen. ¡°Ha your grandfather¡¯s an elder, so what to me that isn¡¯t much.¡± The older kid and his little followers seemed to know what she meant. Recently the fact that she was always around the son of Shaman Lumi was well known, on top of that the fact that he beat a large group of children his age had also gotten around. But most didn¡¯t believe that second part thinking that it was something made up by those trying to gain favor from Shaman Lumi of the tribe head¡¯s younger brother who some began to believe should become the tribe head seeing as he took over most of the responsibilities of the tribe head. ¡°That weakling can¡¯t protect you from an elder even Shaman Lumi wouldn¡¯t be so blind as to allow you to go to her waste of a son.¡± Hearing this Nixie¡¯s anger seemed to explode, to others it was just a slight scowl but Sechs knew that after training in the techniques he gave her, her reactions showed a lot less. Her heart had not frozen over nut her mind was incomparably stronger than those of her age and she was capable of keeping things inside rather than ragging about in a tantrum like a child. ¡°Yea that your wasting your time with that trash, boss here will be an elder after he reaches the aura realm, you can''t cultivate so you would be lucky to even be his third wife!¡± ¡°Yea show some gratitude!¡± ¡°You should show respect to those showing you pity!¡± The boy who had presented himself as the grandson of an elder let his lackeys talk for him as a way of showing his might. As they continued to speak harshly about her and Sechs, Nixie spotted him at a small distance gesturing her to beat them and show her strength. Seeing his gestures Nixie showed a radiant smile, with her change of expression all the jeers stopped. That radiant smile to them was the same as a goddess coming down and reaching out to those lowly people, this was a smile that radiated enough charm to bring down kingdoms. After the initial stun of such a lovely sight the leader of the kids spoke. ¡°Haha, have you finally seen my greatness. Good now you can make up your rude behavior by following me to have some fun.¡± Hearing this Nixie¡¯s smile didn¡¯t lessen one bit as she walked towards the group of boys. Her every step caused the boys to feel a ting of fright as she grew closer to them. That fear was instinct brought up while living in these savage lands were man was not the dominant figure. In a flash before any one of the boys could see her move they felt a chill as they landed on the ground unable to move. ¡°You held back nicely non of them are dead.¡± Receiving praise from Sechs made her elected and her smiling face lasted a while longer before she controlled herself and returned to her usual expressionless self. ¡°Does this mean we can openly exert our strength , and what realm are you in? I haven''t asked but although you look the same when you beat those children before your movements were comparable to mine with a sword.¡± Sechs just laughed looking at the face that even he was slightly taken with a small while ago, the practice of those techniques truly did have a monstrous affect on her body. ¡°Yes and when we are ten we will join the guard and fight savage beasts, without any experience real combat skill will not raise.¡± ¡°Don''t ignore the second question what realm are you in ?¡± Sechs smiled at the question, noting that she was clearly excited to be able to show her strength and for him to have reached a higher realm. ¡°I have six runes for now I''m about as strong as a mid mortal realm aura warrior and if I put in all my effort I can fight a top mortal realm aura warrior so fighting the savage beasts will be fun.¡± The Cloaked Fallen chapter 9 Chapter 9: Tribe head In one of the largest tents in the tribe sat four elders along with Glyn and shaman Lumi. ¡°Shaman Lumi would you be so kind as to help keep our conversation private.¡± The whole tent had more than ten layers of furs but that in itself would not be enough to stop others from hearing the contents of this meeting if hey truly desired to do so. ¡°Certainly elder.¡± Standing from her position Lumi held two small parchments of animal hide while reciting some incomprehensible words. The parchments disintegrated into a brown dust and moved to the edges of the tent. ¡°With this we should have some privacy.¡± ¡°Thank you shaman Lumi.¡± After a short pause their meeting began, every few months the higher ranks in the tribe would come together and discuss any problems they encountered or issues they might have. After a couple of hours the topic that Glyn and his wife had been anticipating finally came up from the fourth elder. ¡°Then the last topic has some minor importance but a young girl was able to single handedly beat my grandson and his friends, she was stronger than him and he started the quarrel so I am not seeking justice for him but she is of the water element and can still somehow cultivate the fact that she possesses a cultivation technique is something that can not be overlooked.¡± ¡°Yes that is something that we as elders should have to keep safe, on the topic of this girl she seems to have caught the attention of all the younger generation.¡± The third elder followed up with some words including the fact that their grandsons would also like to take Nixie for themselves. Looking at the elders who were attempting to get their hands on a cultivation technique that wouldn¡¯t benefit them in the slightest amused Glyn, he knew that they just couldn¡¯t stand the fact that something in the tribe was beyond their reach. ¡°Glyn when you told us to leave the girl to the younger generation and stay out of their little quarrels did you know she possessed a cultivation technique.¡± The one to speak was the second elder who would always be in direct opposition to him thinking that Glyn would takeover the tribe and all the favor he carried with the tribe head would be wasted. ¡°I had a minor idea about it but don¡¯t know any details. If you would like to know more feel free to attempt to question my wife, Shaman Lumi.¡± In the tribe a shaman held a special position without real authority but could no be forced into doing anything. The reason being that a shaman would provide the tribe with runic warriors, runic warriors mad up a majority of the clans forces and if a shaman were to leave the amount of runic warriors would drastically decrease. Hearing Glyn¡¯s words the second elder couldn¡¯t help but grit his teeth. ¡°Shaman Lumi would you be so kind as to elaborate on where the girl obtained a cultivation technique and one so powerful to raise her to such a level at the age of nine?¡± Throughout the meeting Lumi just sat silently not minding anything that went on in the meeting but now she would have to give some assistance to her husband and take a great opportunity to raise her son¡¯s status in the tribe. ¡°I do not mind but that is only if the prior agreement stands, the older generation will stay out of their business and quarrels.¡± Looking at the old men reluctantly nodding Lumi had a satisfied smile. ¡°Then if we are in agreement I will tell you. My sixth son who will be naming himself soon created a cultivation technique for the girl, it is also why she is so attached to him.¡± The elders were puzzled by this news but it seemed like the only explanation that made any sort of sense. They knew that the girl was oddly attached to that sickly boy but no one could understand the reason, but know they knew. Even if it was them, if they were given a cultivation technique that allowed them to have such strength they would follow that person regardless of his situation. ¡°Then shaman do you know what level of strength she has reached?¡± This was something the first elder had been most curious about. ¡°Hmm from what I know she should be able to fight evenly with a top mortal realm aura warrior. Other than that I don¡¯t know what realm she is in.¡± To reach rich a level at the age of nine was truly monstrous and she could now be considered the top genius in the tribe but as the elders were thinking that a thought passed through the first elders mind. ¡®If this was a cultivation technique made by that dying trash in an element he¡¯s never encountered then what could he make for our clan. Or what has he done for himself¡¯ but he seemed to be the only one who thought of these things all the other elders were thinking of a way to rope in the girl who had taken the spotlight into their families. Every other elder thought of a way to win over the girl by sending one of their older grandsons of even some of their youngest sons who would be needing the age of twenty in hopes of acquiring the water cultivation technique and a future member who could potentially raise one of their family members into the set of clan head. Instead the first elder was thinking of ways to win over Sixth, sending one of his granddaughters would not result in much considering the charming appearance of Nixie but it was still worth a shot along with a nice position in the clan he might gain enough favor to have Sixth make a cultivation technique for his people. This novel is published on a different platform. Support the original author by finding the official source. Glyn could see the scheming look in the four elders¡¯ eyes but pretended not to notice it as his wife had achieved their goal of keeping the older generation out of the conflicts that would rise. But that satisfaction did not last long as his older brother barged into their meeting with a messy appearance and smelling of wine. Gavlin of the Raging Mammoth tribe was a mid aura realm warrior, his talent could be considered the worst in all of the tribe but after years of cultivating he gave up and stole the tribe''s precious treasure. A rare plant that would improve one¡¯s aura level and was able to advance, because of his crime he would normally be punished but his strength was recognized and the necessity for powerful warriors in the tribe outweighed his crime. But because he never took care of anything important no one expected anything out of him other than fighting those beast that normal warriors could not deal with. ¡°Haha what¡¯s with those faces I''m the clan head show respect and bow. Shaman Lumi have you given any thought to leaving my weak brother and becoming my eighth wife?¡± Seeing him enter all but the second elder scowled this man was only tolerated because of his strength and even that was obtained through a crime. But Glyn didn¡¯t mind as he was close to reaching the same realm and would go even further with the cultivation technique¡¯s improvements. Once he had equal strength to his brother he could openly oppose him and even take the seat of tribe head. ¡°Tribe head, do not act in such a manner or you will be punished.¡± Lumi on the other hand had more than enough power to take down the tribe head but as a shaman of the tribe she was forbidden to directly act in the political maters of the tribe. ¡°Watch your mouth when speaking to me, I am a mid aura realm warrior at this distance I could kill you before you even act.¡± The elders did not want to lose their tribe''s best shaman or suffer the wrath of the tribe head so the best they could do was try to appease the tribe head as they thought shaman Lumi was more level headed and would not pointlessly engage in a fight. ¡°Tribe head sit you have arrived at the end of our discussion but if you have anything to add we as elders of the clan will listen.¡± Seeing the elders¡¯ obedience towards him he smiled. ¡°Good then I will just state some matters and be done I have other important things to do. That girl that the younger generation have been talking about will marry my son and that trash, whoever he is, will die if he has touched her as she is now my son¡¯s woman.¡± As soon as he finished speaking all the elders in the tribe¡¯s face turned pale. Earth elemental energy began to fluctuate and an incredible pressure came down on all but Glyn, this pressure originated from Shaman Lumi who could not stand hearing someone declare that they would kill her son. ¡°Trash, ha you call my son trash when the only way you reached your position was as a petty thief. You go near my son or send any one after him you will die.¡± As she spoke Gavlin was struggling to move even a finger while looking at Lumi with pure fear. ¡°The elders have already come to an agreement on that mater and we of the older generation will not be involved so you will stay out of this and appreciate the fact that I let you live.¡± Her words were dominating but everyone understood that to touch a mothers child was asking for a fight until one party was dead. ¡°Fi..ne, fine we¡¯ll do that.¡± In his fear he forgot that he was the tribe head and would agree to anything that Lumi said. In his head he began cursing how was he supposed to know that one of her son''s had actually turned out to be trash. ¡°But in a year he will have to compete for a position in the tribe against all those of the younger generation and their you can¡¯t help him.¡± Saying his final threat the tribe head left the meeting tent shamed and infuriated. The tribe¡¯s higher ranked members would gather their younger generation and have a small competition once every three years but the participants were usually those between the ages of fourteen to sixteen asking her nine year old son to participate would be akin sending him into a tiger¡¯s den. During the competition killing your opponent was something frowned upon but not against the rules and she had no intention of sending him to an early grave. Having seen the clan head completely dominated by their most powerful shaman the elders couldn¡¯t help but wonder if she had made a breakthrough into the top apprentice realm. If so then traditions could be completely broken by her and no one would be able to oppose her, but as she didn¡¯t do so they felt great respect for her and admiration for her character. Back in Nixie¡¯s tent she was rolling on her furs wondering how she would explain to her parents her engagement to Sixth, after he chose an name for himself he would then be considered a full member of the tribe. And then she would have to tasks to accomplish first would be to explain to Sixth about their engagement then to tell her parents. But that would be considerable difficult to do as she wasn¡¯t sure how to go about it. Thankfully she had the technique [Snow fairy¡¯s wings] which strengthened her mind and allowed her to calm down. Having calmed down she decided that simply telling Sixth the facts and the doing the same with her parents would be the most efficient method.
