《The Overlord's Elite is now a Human?!》
Chapter 19 - Attacks of the Werewolves
Another two weeks have passed since we left the slaves with Emelia to take care of.
I traveled alongside Asellus out of the forest, towards demon lands. As she looks almost like a human, her identity as a Mystic isn''t exposed while she was in human lands. During the day, we walked towards the general direction towards Mystic lands. In the evening, we stopped to set up camp and did some training.
As of now, even with a successful sneak attack, Asellus would probably still lose to Vergil. Having personally seen Vergil''s might in battles last time, I daresay that even if we had a one-on-one, with the current me, I might not be able to win. Therefore Asellus had no chance.
The most I can do for her is to train her basics, sharpening her movements, and constantly spar with her to increase her real-life battle experiences.
Hmm...I daresay that at our current pace, we''ll reach Vergil''s castle within a month or so. By then, he should have realized that Asellus is missing and preparing to find her.
We only have one month''s period of time to train her up...this is going to be an uphill task.
If only we can find a prey suitable for her to synchronize with; that would give her a boost in abilities that might just be enough to land a good strike on Vergil.
I did try to let Asellus defeat some of the monsters that we could find. However, none of them synchronized with her. Of course, if it were that easy, Mystics would have long ago became the strongest clan.
Guess this is going to be a really tough task...
Today, we got lucky and walked to a nearby small town as the sun was beginning to set. We rented a room in an inn, and went out for some training first before
"Asellus, what were you doing before you were turned Mystic by Vergil?" (Gideon)
I was curious. After all, she is rather strong, even for a Mystic with a single synchronization. After just two weeks of training, she moves visibly faster and reacts quicker, as well as her attacks was getting sharper. Her attacks were strong at the start, so those improvements made her even more of a threat. That growth rate certainly is rather unusual...not that I''m one to talk.
"Hmm...nothing, really. I am an orphan, and worked in the fields daily, tending to crops when all of a sudden, a carriage went by the road, and stopped. The carriage door opened and Vergil came running over, without any regards for the mud and water. He held onto my hands and asked me to be his bride." (Asellus)
"That...was sudden." (Gideon)
"Know what, yeah, now that I think about it. At that time, a guy of his looks, asking a countryside girl like me to marry him, I was stunned, in a...happy way. My mind probably wasn''t thinking straight then, but I went head-over-heels for him and decided to go along with him."
That...womanizing cheater. One day he''ll die at the hands of a female for sure.
"After that...stuff that I do not wish to vocal happened, and I found myself a Mystic. Needless to sad, I was pretty shocked then, but at least life was better then, so I didn''t complain much even though I wasn''t that happy." (Asellus)
"I...I see. Alright, did you had any sorts of training then?" (Gideon)
"Hmm...yeah, for awhile. One of his consorts helped me with training." (Asellus)
"How did it go?"
"Well...it was going great but after a few days, when I am getting the hang of it, she suddenly stopped.the training altogether."
"Hmm...weird."
"Yeah, Mystics sure are a weird bunch, aren''t they?"
"Don''t forget, you''re one too."
"Ah."
"Don''t "Ah." me! Sheesh..."
We went back to the inn just before the sun fully sets, and went to rest after washing ourselves clean. Being very tired everyday from non-stop walking and training, I almost immediately went to sleep after taking a good bath.
The night descends, and I woke up in a start. Asellus was awake and looking extremely alert, and turning her head around constantly, as though looking out for someone, or something. Howling sound can be heard from a far distance, along with slight trembling of the ground.
(Master! Danger''s approaching! A lot of presences are approaching from the direction of the Demon lands!)
Tsk...that can''t be a good sign. And if I can still recognize that sound, it must be them...
"Asellus, let''s get out of here first!" (Gideon)
"Too late...I''m pretty sure they already noticed us, with our presence being so strong. Darn it...we were careless, and didn''t mask ourselves probably. We shouldn''t have trained too much near demon lands after all." (Asellus)
"Too late for that...those presences, and that howl...it''s the Werewolves Clan, isn''t it?" (Gideon)
"Hmm, you are quite knowledgeable, aren''t you?" (Asellus)
"For now, we should go out and see what they want."
"Agreed. As much as possible, I would like to keep this town away from any harm." (Asellus)
The both of us quickly left the inn, and rushed out to the outskirts of town. There, we can see the advancing werewolves coming closer towards us. There were probably...a hundred? Maybe even more. Right in the middle of the whole group, there''s one with an extremely strong presence, one that I recognize very well. One that I have fought with, and together, previously while I was still part of the Overlord''s army.
"W...Wourein. Damn it, this won''t end well." (Gideon)
"You even know the name of the Werewolves Clan leader? Who are you really...?" (Asellus)
"If we make it out of this alive, I wouldn''t mind telling you some stuff." (Gideon)
This is quite the situation. After all, werewolves get their strength from the moon, and though not a full moon today, their strengths are still considerable. However, with Asellus''s help, perhaps we can get through this alive.
After a short while, the werewolves surrounded the both of us, and the biggest of them all walked towards us. It is him...it''s Wourein, I''ll never forget that scar of his left eye that I left.
"So...you two are the presence we felt from before, when we were patrolling the nearby area. Such strong humans, are you two perhaps...[Heroes]?" (Wourein)
Stolen from its rightful place, this narrative is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.
"Such a wild claim. Don''t you know who this is? She''s the fourth consort of the Mystic Leader, Vergil! All of you, how dare you surround her in such a threatening manner!" (Gideon)
"Oh, the consort of Vergil, eh? Well then, what is a consort doing so far away from Mystic lands?"
"Whatever Asellus-sama is doing, I believe, is none of your concern. Please step aside and let us be on our way." (Gideon)
"...I think not. Even if what you say is true, nothing is going to stop me, Wourein, from doing as I please!"
That guy...he''s the same as ever. Doing what he wants, whenever he wants. That''s why I had to stop him once from nearly killing one of my ogres from some stupid reason, giving him that scar in the process. Though, looks like there''s no escape from a fight tonight.
I stepped in front of Asellus, towards Wourein. With a single thought command to Eva, a silver axe materialized, as I held it with my hand.
"Hey Wourein...do you want another scar on the other eye, or are you going to move away in peace?" (Gideon)
I released killing intent, and the encirclement of werewolves became larger, as those in front moved back from my killing intent. Wourein however, stood his ground and stared with amusement.
"Wahaha! For a kid, you sure know how to talk big! Hardly anyone has dared mention about this scar, and all those you did died in my arms! Your blood shall cleanse that insult you spat upon me!" (Wourein)
He gave a loud howl, as the encirclement of werewolves howled as well.
I turned my head slightly to Asellus, and whispered to her.
"Hey, take this guy for a few seconds, I''ll get rid of the rest in those moments."
"What, me? But..."
"Don''t worry, if it''s for awhile, your burst strength is more than capable of stalling him."
"Alright...if you say so. Why am I fighting one of the [Six Pillars] here anyway..?"
"When I say now, jump away as high and you can, alright?"
I wanted to test this skill out on goblins previously...to think that I''m now trying it out on werewolves instead. That''s too much of a difference in level, isn''t it?
"The strength of wolves is the pack; the strength of the pack is the wolves!" (Wourein)
He rushed towards me, as some of the werewolves rushed towards us at the same time. Asellus jumped out, and clashed with Wourein with [Tiger Rampage], whereas Wourein who lost the initiative, started blocking and pushing aside the punches and lost the chance to retaliate.
As expected of Asellus...her strength is great enough to temporarily stall a [Six Pillar]. If I was the one on the receiving end of such a fierce flurry of punches, even I wouldn''t be able to counter-attack for the first time I see it.
As the werewolves came too near for comfort, I jumped upwards, high up.
Eva, increase the size of the axe!
(What? But, the mass will increase as well! It would get too heavy to swing comfortably!)
It''s alright, just do it!
(Hmm...alright, if you know what you''re doing.)
The axe grew three times it''s normal size, as I held it above my head. Perfect, with the additional weight and gravity pull, I think it should be strong enough to blow away most of them werewolves!
"Now!" (Gideon)
Asellus crouched down and jumped upwards, as the ground approaches for me. I swung the axe downwards with brute strength and assist from [Burst Stream]. I''m going to launch an attack that''s thought only doable by a whole group of Ogres!
"Modified technique: [Encompassing Devastating Earth Wave]!" (Gideon)
The instant the axe hit the ground, a shockwave of earth and rubble and stone erupted from the epicenter and spread outwards, nearly instantly clearing a field of thirty meters around me, severely injuring or killing most of the werewolves surrounding us. Even though a larger portion of the impact went towards Wourein, where I pointed the axe towards, he managed to block the attack in time, and didn''t take much damage from that attack. Most of the survivors are also those who were behind Wourein.
As for me, I flew upwards from the impact, being too light to withstand the force, and Asellus caught me as she fell towards the ground. The both of us landed safely after.
That was a really strong attack, if I dare say so myself. Not bad, even for me!
[Master, you idiot. If you wanted to do that, shouldn''t you ask me to change into a club, or a pointed hammer?]
Oh right. That would work well.
[...you are an idiot, Master.]
Hey! At least it did extra damage to Wourein, and it managed to wipe out most of the werewolves.
"That attack...and [Burst Stream]! I know it when I see it! You...you''re the human Del''thrush talked about...Buvul!" (Wourein)
"Buvul? You mean...the previous Ogre clan leader, one of the [Six Pillars], Buvul?" (Asellus)
"You know quite a lot, don''t you?" (Gideon)
"Well...I was blooded for over 2 years already. I know quite a bit of history, seeing that I have nothing much to do other than training and reading up on history." (Asellus)
"Ahh...no wonder. Yes, I am Buvul. Or at least, I used to be. Now, my name is Gideon."
"Wahaha! I didn''t think I''ll see you here, the one who gave me this scar! To think you''ve fallen this low, being a human!"
He clutched his scar, with a murderous look on his face.
"This must be fate. There is no fighting between members of the [Six Pillars], but now that you''re a mere human, I can slaughter you as I please!" (Wourein)
"Give it up, Wourein. I''ve reduced your fighting force to nearly single digits, and you are injured. Retreat, and live to fight another day. If not- WOAH!" (Gideon)
Wourein rushed forward and slashed with his claws. Even with me lunging backwards and my toughness, I still received a small cut near my chest.
"Fool! There is no retreat for the [SIx Pillars]! We shall fight with honor, and cleanse the humiliation of defeat with the blood of our fallen enemies! As long as I still breath, I shall take you down, even if it cost me my life!" (Wourein)
Chapter 20 - Ferocious Maul of the Silver Wolf
20th chapter! That''s probably 50,000 words, huh? Not bad for a 1st time writer i guess?
Hope the story isn''t too hard to digest so far...man I need more than just 24 hours in a day....
Enough from me, enjoy the chapter!
Such a battle freak, this Wourein, as always.
If possible, I don''t wish for any further deaths. The only one that I want to kill is Del''thrush; anyone else can be considered for later, if they are part of the conspiracy as well, the Overlord included.
As he rushed towards me, I stood firm and repelled every single attack of his; blocking each and every punch he lashed out with my axe. As expected of the leader of the Werewolves Clan, even when punching on such a solid hard object, tougher than steel, he shows neither pain nor slowing down of his attacks.
"What''s wrong, Buvul? Come on, fight back! This shouldn''t be all you got, is it?!" (Wourein)
"I don''t want to hurt you any further. My goal is not to defeat you, it''s the destruction of Del''thrush." (Gideon)
"HAH! Hurt me, don''t make me laugh! A mere human that you are now, don''t even think for one second that you can actually do any further harm to me-" (Wourein)
I deflected his next punch to the side, by tilting the axe slightly as his fist hits the flat side of the axe. During the brief moment he lost his balance, I unleashed a fierce uppercut with [Burst Stream], almost slicing off the extended right arm of his. If I had been a little faster, I would have taken off more than just his fist.
He regained his balance just in time and leaped back, looking at the missing right fist of his, growing back to normal in front of his eyes. He flexed his newly grown fist, trying to get used to his new hands.
Werewolves have regenerative capabilities, allowing them to regenerate, even parts of their limbs, if they were to be destroyed or sliced off, at the cost of their stamina and vitality. Together with their decent strength, and high movement and attacking speeds, were what made werewolves such a threat to the humans.
"Don''t underestimate me. I may have become physically weaker than before, but my speed is now incomparable to when I was an Ogre Lord. In some ways, you can say that I''m stronger than before, especially when dealing with speed-orientated demons such as you." (Gideon)
"Yes...you are quite strong, as expected of an ex-[Six Pillars]. Being able to adapt to a human body in such a short frame of time, and having such strength...but, don''t underestimate me!" (Wourein)
Wourein howled with a mighty rage, as he claws himself on his arms. As the blood flows, his body grows slightly larger, with the most noticeable change being his thighs. His claws protruded, growing bigger and longer. He is definitely stronger than what he was mere moments ago, I can feel his strength emitting out from him, as my entire body tensed up, getting ready for anything he is going to throw at me.
"Let me see you deal with this now!" (Wourein)
He rushed forward at a great speed than before. Nothing that I can''t handle though. I aimed for a counter, slashing down where he would be an instance from now.
However, my attacks connects with only the air, as he disappeared from my sight almost immediately. The next thing I knew, I was flung forward, with an impact from my back.
"Dammit! That was fast..." (Gideon)
Then, another attack came from my right, as though trying to pierce right through me. However, being as tough as I am, Wourein only managed to claw in a third of an inch into my body. Hurts like hell though, this is probably the first time someone managed to cut in me so deeply.
The attack blasted me to the left, and I had to tumble a few times before regaining my posture again. I looked at Wourein, his face filled with the joy of battle.
"It''s been awhile since I have the honor of seeing you use this skill...[Bloodfury], isn''t it?" (Gideon)
"Yes, I''m surprised you still remembered. At the cost of constantly losing blood, I gain additional strength and unparalleled speed! My trump card, so as to say. Making afterimages are simple, while this skill is still active. You could never beat me while I was in this mode." (Wourein)
"You could never deal enough damage to me to make me yield even if you were in this form, before you had to revert back to normal." (Gideon)
"That is true...perhaps, when you were Ogre. What about now?" (Wourein)
"Who knows, feel free to find out." (Gideon)
"That...I SHALL!" (Wourein)
Once again, he disappeared from my field of vision. I couldn''t even track which direction he went, don''t even mention where he actually is now.
Tsk, this might actually be quite the tough battle...
Within milliseconds, countless cuts formed around me, as I went to the defensive. Even if I want to attack, I couldn''t move carelessly. After all, one wrong move could mean more than just a few small cuts.
For awhile, I just stood there, taking every single hit he dished out on me. Although I have a extremely tough body, it''s not invulnerable to damages. Little by little, tiny trickles of blood began to flow.
"How''s that! Can you beat me now, HUH? CAN YOU?! THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU GET TOO FULL OF YOURSELF!" (Wourein)
I tried to go for a few random strikes around me, but all of my attacks hit empty air. Instead, I received a counter from Wourein with my guard down during my attacks.
"Where do you think you''re aiming? Try harder if you can!" (Wourein)
"That hit...actually hurt a little! Why don''t you try harder? Maybe you can do more than just scratches!" (Gideon)
"Such big words from something who can''t even touch a single strand of fur on me!" (Wourein)
I ceased all form of attack, as I taunted Wourein. To be honest, there isn''t anything I can do here, other than being a standing target for him. Curses, I didn''t expect him to be this fast!
(Master...you look pathetic.)
Oh come on, cut me some slack here, Eva...he''s a lot faster than I expected; I thought that I would be able to keep up with him now, even when I had no chance as well when I was still Ogre.
(Tsk tsk tsk, there''s no choice, looks like I have to help you out a bit, don''t I?)
Nope, it''s alright, I can last through his attacks-
(I said, LOOKS LIKE I HAVE TO HELP YOU OUT A LITTLE, DON''T I?)
Alright....please help me, my awesome partner Eva?
(Well, since you insist...okay!)
The axe in my hand slowly dissolves, as it flows back into my arm. Then, countless spikes lashed out suddenly from my silver right arm and simultaneously, the attacks stopped, and I caught sight of Wourein. He''s a few meters away, from my right, with wounds all over his body.
He must have been unable to dodge the spikes fully, but also got away just before getting utterly impaled in the nick of time. Judging by the trickles of blood flowing out of his body, he should have been caught by quite a bit of spikes, but not too deeply impaled.
(Common knowledge dictates that no matter how fast you go, a sudden attack from all-sides will definitely hit someone that''s buzzing around like a bee. Now, finish the job by yourself, master!)
That Eva...she''s really too overpowered for an artifact. Being able to pierce through the hide of the Werewolves clan leader is one thing, but being able to stop him in his tracks with just one single attack? That shape-shifting skills of hers, looks like i''ve underestimated it by quite a fair bit.
"Grrr...this isn''t over just yet!" (Wourein)
Ah, his wounds have closed. Looks like he removed his [Bloodfury]. His body has definitely shrunk back to its normal size once again. Even though his wounds have recovered, I can tell that more than half of his vitality have already been consumed from the recovery. At this point, it''s rather clear to anyone who would the victor be if the fight continues.
"Wourein, I have said it once, and I''ll say it again. I do not wish you hurt you any further." (Gideon)
"Enough with your pity! If this is how you want to be...how about this - if you can defeat me I''ll tell you everything I know about Del''thrush, how''s that?" (Wourein)
"What do you know about him? What''s that wretched bone-head planning this time?!" (Gideon)
When the name Del''thrush came out from Wourein''s mouth, I find myself getting slightly more agitated. With a single command, I regained my axe once again, holding it pointed towards Wourein.
"Wahahaha! Getting the motivation to fight, I see! Yes, I know his secret little plan, but to get it out of me you''ll have to defeat me first!" (Wourein)

"...Very well then. If you insist on it, I''ll grant you your wish!" (Gideon)
This time, I''m the one who rushed forward towards Wourein, with a great burst of speed from [Burst Stream]. In a instance, I was within striking range of Wourein, my axe swung upwards with great strength. He managed to avoid it by stepping to the back, but I din''t expect that to hit anyway. Taking advantage of the swinging force, I released my grip on the axe, and it flew out of my hand. As expected, such an unexpected move took away his attention and increased the time he took to recover his balance.
This brief period of opportunity...I won''t miss it!
Using both [Accel] and [Two-point-step of the Black Wolf], I re-directed myself to the left instantaneously and relocated myself behind Wourein. With such instant acceleration and movements, coupled with the fact that Wourein was distracted, he totally lost sight of where I was.
Placing the end of my two palms together, I strengthened my arms with [Augmentation] and with [Burst Stream], pushed out both palms simultaneously, and the distal phalanx of my ten fingers pierced through his back; His limbs straightened out from the shock-wave of the impact as he let off a loud howl in pain.
"[Special Technique - Ferocious Maul of the Silver Wolf]" (Gideon)
I pulled out my fingers, as the clan leader of the Werewolves collapsed on the floor. The rest of the werewolves howled in anger, and from their expression, they were ready for a desperate battle of vengeance. However, with Asellus still watching their every move, and witnessing her burst strength before, they can''t afford to move too carelessly.
"Worry not, at the last second I dispersed away some of my strength, this attack might be deadly but should be in no means fatal. If you quickly bring him back to safely, he''ll definitely be safe. I do not wish to see the [Six Pillars] lose another member and fall into Del''thrush''s...Oh right, Del''thrush!" (Gideon)
Damn it, now that he''s knocked out, how am I going to get the information out of him?
(Master, leave it to me!) (Eva)
Oh right, I still have Eva''s mind-reading technique!
I held Wourein up and walked towards the rest of the werewolves, as though to help him up and return him to them. Suspicion can be felt emitting from their looks, but after a short while, they prioritized the recovery of their leader, and began to came forward to retrieve him. After returning Wourein back to the werewolves, they hastily retreated from me.
As they retreated, Asellus began to walk towards me, wiping her forehead while breathing out a huge sigh of relief.
(Extraction of memory complete! Sending them over to you now, master!)
Memories that aren''t mine began to flood my mind, from what I believe to be the least recent to the most recent. I closed my eyes to concentrate on the images.
The meeting of the [Six Pillars]...darn it, looks like Del''thrush really did exposed my identity. Looks like I''ll have to be more careful, especially with Selena. I hope i''ll never have to meet with her at my current state.
Then, Wourein sneaking about and trailing Del''thrush to the north of his domain...he''s next to a huge boulder, touched it and it shifted away, exposing a huge hole beneath it, which Del''thrush walked down into.
Hmm...could that be his underground lab? At least it''s a useful lead that I could follow.
After the last of him entered the hole completely, the boulder automatically shifted itself back. Wourein...he tried moving it inside, but it was of no use; the boulder just wouldn''t budge. Attempts made to destroy the boulder was also futile.
Other than that...there isn''t anything else much that''s useful within his memories-KUHH?!
(M..Master!) (Eva)
My thoughts were interrupted as I was struck and knocked back by a extremely huge and speedy figure. The sudden rush of the attack caught me by surprise and without any preparation, causing me to be stunned and had the air knocked out of me.
I was only stopped when I hit onto what I presume is a rather large tree. Then, an additional heavy blow on my abdomen left me gasping for air, as the attacks came rushing down on me. I quickly opened my eyes, and hastily tried to guard myself from the attacks with little success.
"JUST...HOW FAR...DO YOU WANT TO DISGRACE ME, BUVULLLLLLL?!" (Wourein)
The next blow of his came down from his right, a palm strike on my face that slammed me onto the ground, as he continued his rush of attacks. After all the built-up of damage from the previous bout, I can''t seem to defend as well as I wanted!
"I...I''m the...leader of the Werewolves! We shall...either fight til victory...or...death...!" (Wourein)
Despite being so gravely injured, to the point where some of his wounds aren''t healing, and the obvious lack of breath and vitality, Wourein''s attacks doesn''t seems to be getting any weaker. Even if I somehow got my guard up, the lack of breath is causing me a drop in my defenses.
"Don''t be...an idiot! If you...die, it''s all...over! Why, can''t you understand...that!" (Gideon)
I fought back a little, while keeping my defenses up. Wourein has abandoned all sorts of defense in exchange for his final burst of attacks on me; no matter how many times I strike at him, he doesn''t seem to react to them at all!
"ENOUGH OUT OF YOU! EVEN IF...I LOSE MY LIFE HERE...I''LL TAKE YOU WITH...ME!" (Wourein)
Wourein lifted both his arms, clutching his fists, and began to swing both fists down simultaneously, madden with rage and fury.
(Master, watch out!)
Eva took control over the silver right arm, and expanded outwards to form a make-shift shielding. Wourein plummeted again and again on the newly-formed shield covering me, with each blow seemingly getting stronger than the next.
"COWARD! DON''T HIDE UNDER THIS, FIGHT ME, FIGHT!!!" (Wourein)
(Tsk...! For a guy with one feet in the grave, he sure is strong...I don''t think i can...hold this up much longer...!)
"ARGHHHHH!" (Wourein)
He clutched both fist together, and lifted it up high, fully with the intention of swinging down the hammer of wrath upon me. I tried to move or roll aside, but with Eva there shielding me, I couldn''t absorb her back and move away in time!
I''ll have to take the hit, and survive!
I forcefully remove the shielding by absorbing it back into my silver arm, and braced myself for the incoming blow...that never arrived.
The next thing I know, before his arms can even begin to swing down, his sides were pierced through, by a tiger''s arm. Wourein limbs went limp. His arms came flopping downwards, as he no longer had the strength to keep them up.
"...So, this is...it, huh...? Death...from combat...not a...bad way to...go..." (Wourein)
With that, Wourein passed on, and the entire area became silent.
(Master...I''m...I''m sorry that I was a burden in this fight...) (Eva)
Don''t give me that, if not for you, I might have not survived til now. You''re the furthest thing away from a burden. You''re my partner, Eva. (Gideon)
(...Master...! Thank you...) (Eva)
"Sorry, Gideon. When Wourein suddenly rushed over, Even I was caught surprised, and stepped aside to avoid the attack..." (Asellus)
Asellus, with her tiger-arm still stuck deep within the side of Wourein''s abdomen, looked rather apologetic. She must be feeling some guilt for stepping away, I guess?
"It''s alright, if I was in your shoes I probably wouldn''t even be able to react at all. You did fine, to lower our causalities and even came to save me, thanks for that." (Asellus)
"It''s fine, I still need to to help me punch Vergil, you know. Still, for me to have killed a [Six Pillar]...ahh, this is such a great sin-Eh?!" (Asellus)
Wourein''s body began to glow in a faint light, and appeared...slightly transparent?
Almost immediately after, he disintegrated into countless sparkling dust, and fade away. What was that all about? If I remember correctly, werewolves don''t disintegrate into dust when they die. I looked around the area, and I can see still a lot of dead werewolves'' bodies.
"Asellus, do you know what''s that all about?" (Gideon)
I looked at her, and her face had a very weird expression on it. It was a mix of disbelief and shock.
"This...this is...Absorption?!" (Asellus)
"What?! You mean, your 2nd absorption is the, the, the...Werewolves clan leader, Wourein?!" (Gideon)
NOT A CHAPTER - A thought
Hey fellas! Thanks for reading this story of mine, appreciate it!

Chapter 21 - 2nd Absorption
Alright, since so much of you guys voted for story instead of art, here''s an "early" release for you guys!
Battles after battles...hmm, hope I didn''t make my battling scenes too repetitive I hope? Any form of comments or reviews, no matter constructively good or bad, please feel free to do so! I''m not an especially good writer, just blessed with a great English teacher, so yeah comment away!
Good rating are however, always appreciated of course :P
After the moment of shock from the sudden success from [Absorption], we waited for awhile to see if the werewolves that were supposed to take care of Wourein came back. They didn¡¯t.
We¡¯re guessing that either they were killed by Wourein in his fit of anger, or they had witnessed the death of their leader and retreated in a hurry afterwards.
Obviously we hoped it was the former, but nothing ever goes well in life¡
We went back into the village before dawn, and pretended as though nothing happened. After all, we don¡¯t want necessary attention to ourselves. Should any form of news spread, it may cause more trouble for not only us but potentially the entire village as well.
Hence, we simply went back into the inn and rested for the entire day. After all, we had quite the life-of-death battle, having defeated one of the [Six Pillars]; Our stamina, both physically and mentally, have reached its limits.
Maybe not that much for Asellus, but for me, who used two powerful attacks, constantly used [Burst Stream] and repeatedly getting pummeled, I had to be supported by Asellus halfway back into the village and fell into a deep sleep once I hit the bed, waking up only before the next dawn ¨C nearly twenty whole hours!
I looked around, and didn¡¯t see any sign of Asellus in the room. This room only has a single large bed, being a small room. So, if she¡¯s not around at this time of day¡
¡°Don¡¯t tell me, she slept outside of the room?¡± (Gideon)
(Yeah right. She was sleeping on the same bed as you were. After she placed you on the bed, she tended to your wounds and cleaned you up with a set of new clothing. After that, she fell asleep from exhaustion beside of you, waking up after the sun sets. You should¡¯ve seen the expression on her face when she woke up! Master, I know you like to play with the feelings of females of all ages, but to think that you even toy with a married woman¡how shameless.) (Eva)
(Since when so I toy with the feelings of females, sheesh¡) (Gideon)
(Ahaha, you should know it better than I do!) (Eva)
(Enough of it, Eva. Do you know where Asellus went?) (Gideon)
(Hmm¡I¡¯m not sure, but she did left a note on the table before leaving.) (Eva)
I looked at the small round table, just a few feet away from me. Ah, there really is a note on the table! I took the note and read it over quickly. It seems that she¡¯s simply out testing out her new abilities and strength at the same place where we were fighting yesterday.
I guess I should go find her then? After all, after sleeping for so long, my body really needs a good stretch or two.
(Master¡you must always remember that married women are a no-no~!) (Eva)
(Oh, stop teasing me already¡) (Gideon)
I went out of the village and went over to the very same place of yesterday¡¯s fighting took place. Over there, I saw Asellus, sitting down on the floor, probably taking a breather.
¡°Hey.¡± (Gideon)
¡°Hmm¡? Oh hi Gideon, just nice of you to come by, I have something new that I want to try out on.¡± (Asellus)
Hmm? She looks normal; the typical near-emotionless look of hers is still plastered on her face, with only hints of excitement, probably from her newly-found strength from [Absorption] of Wourein. That Eva¡she¡¯s probably over-exaggerating things.
¡°Alright, i¡¯m in.¡± (Gideon)
We both took our places and prepared ourselves for combat, 20 meters away from each other.
¡°Let¡¯s do it this way ¨C you show me your attacks and I¡¯ll try to resist them. The purpose of this sparring is to see how much stronger you have gotten anyway, so give it your best shot and don¡¯t hold back!¡± (Gideon)
¡°Don¡¯t¡hold back? I¡¯m not too sure of how strong I''ve gotten, so asking me not to hold back is a little¡¡± (Asellus)
¡°Don¡¯t worry. I may not look like it, but I¡¯m at least 80% of Vergil¡¯s total combat capability. If he¡¯s your target, you must be at the very least be able to match me in combat, right?¡± (Gideon)
¡°If you put it that way¡very well then. Prepare yourself.¡± (Asellus)
I equipped myself with Eva¡¯s silver axe, and took a defensive stance, bringing up my arm to protect my upper body and head, while the silver right arm holding the axe is slightly lower, protecting my torso and give me a heightened chance to react to her attacks. As expected, she came towards me with a rush and transformed arms.
Her speed however, have greatly improved, reaching close combat distance within two seconds. I was slightly surprised at the speed in which she covered the entire distance.
¡°[Tiger Rampage].¡±
Her fist came flying over, blow after blow. Indeed, the timing between every attack has shortened noticeably as well, increasing her rate of attack! Combined with the training I gave her in order to increase the accuracy and sharpness of her movements, every punch of hers is now significantly more powerful.
As compared to just a few weeks ago, when I first saw her attacks, the difference between them is like heaven and earth! In fact, should she had this level of prowess when she attacked the kidnappers¡¯ boss, every strike would have pulverized his bones to mere fragments, and his flesh into mush.
To think that she have come this far within weeks¡she¡¯s quite the monster, a genius unlike any other. No wonder Vergil¡¯s consort stopped training her after a few sessions ¨C they must have saw her immeasurable growth and thought of her as a threat to their positions.
With every two or three attacks from her, I strike back once with my axe, but every cut made by me, big or small, was recovered within a few seconds maximum. The innate recovery speed of Mystics, combined with the regenerative capability of Werewolves definitely can¡¯t be underestimated.
¡°Whoops!¡± (Gideon)
Being slightly distracted, I almost took a punch to the face, which I managed to blow in the nick of time. However, having lost my momentum, I took a few more guarded strikes before being able to jump backwards to safety. Those attacks of her sure pack a lot of force in them; taking a few hits caused my body to bruise slightly, despite being one of extreme toughness.
¡°Don¡¯t get distracted, even if it¡¯s you, you may lose your life.¡± (Asellus)
She didn¡¯t try to cover the distance once again. Instead, Asellus held on to both sides of her arms and swung down, leaving a gash on both her arms. I grimaced when I looked at her self-inflicted wound that isn¡¯t recovering. Not so much for sympathizing with her injury of course, but more of what¡¯s going to happen next to me¡this is definitely going to be very dangerous.
¡°[Bloodfury].¡± (Asellus)
I raised my concentration to its limits. I can¡¯t afford to do anything lesser than that.
She leaped forward once again, this time with a much terrifying speed. Compared to that of Wourein, it¡¯s slower and still traceable within my eyes, but it¡¯s of par with that, no, even faster than me when I¡¯m using [Accel]!
Without hesitation, I started the initiative and struck first, swinging the axe upwards. As she avoided the blow, I forcefully interrupted the swing and swung it back downwards onto her.
To my surprise, she managed to avoid that as well, by leaping away to the left at the very last second.
After that, extremely quick blows were launched from her tiger arms. With every few blows, I had to step back a step, parrying and interrupting her hits before they can launch. After [Bloodfury], I could hardly return a single blow after every ten or so attacks from her, and some were even avoided. Most of the hits also turned out to be small cuts anyway.
Also, every punch now had quite the weight packed into them now. There¡¯s a comparable difference to the damage dealt to me now than just mere moments ago.
This tale has been pilfered from Royal Road. If found on Amazon, kindly file a report.
As another example, if we use the kidnappers¡¯ boss once again as a measuring stick, instead of pulverizing his bones and flesh, the punch from Asellus now would simply cause her fist to go straight through of him cleanly, akin to a hole drilled straight through.
Even I do not wish to take hits of that standard too many times¡
However, after a few minutes of exchange, even though I got quite bruised from all the attacks that managed to hit, I was still going strong and had the stamina to keep this up, whereas Asellus seemed tired and is panting, with cuts and abrasions all over her body.
It was rather obvious that even though I was at the disadvantage at the start, with the one with higher endurance and stamina, the tide has now turned to my favor.
¡°Even with [Bloodfury], I am still unable to catch up to you, huh? You really are stronger than I expected.¡± (Asellus)
¡°Don¡¯t underestimate me. At the very least, I managed to survive a life-or-death battle yesterday; I too, have improved as well.¡± (Gideon)
¡°Besides, the weakness of [Bloodfury] is very clear ¨C granting higher levels of speed and power but removing any form of recovery. If that¡¯s the case¡¡± (Gideon)
I leaped up high. A silver axe was morphed into a pointed hammer and with [Burst Stream], the pointed end of the hammer struck the ground with a loud bang, and the entire immediate area erupted in a storm of dust, earth and rock fragments, flinging out in all directions at high speeds.
¡°¡I just have to attack from all sides, right?¡± (Gideon)
¡°¡Tsk. [Encompassing Devastating Earth Wave], is it¡¡± (Asellus)
(Ho, Master, not bad! I thought I¡¯ll have to help you out once again.) (Eva)
(I¡¯m not that inexperience as to let a same attack hold me down twice.) (Gideon)
The dust cloud faded, and Asellus can be seen with multiple gash wounds all over her body, with some parts of her clothing torn. She managed to avoid the worst of my attacks, probably by moving away from the incoming debris as fast and as much as she could, but my attack isn''t that easily avoided fully. Countless debris flying straight towards you at high speed¡if anyone had a chance of avoiding that, it would only be the ex-Werewolves Clan Leader, Wourein.
¡°As expected of the person I chose to be my trainer, you indeed are resourceful.¡± (Asellus)
¡°That goes without saying. I didn''t live for so long without learning a few tricks or two.¡± (Gideon)
¡°So long¡ah right, I remember now, you¡¯re the ex-Ogre Lord Buvul as well. No matter, that¡¯s not important now.¡±
She took a stance and faced me.
¡°I¡¯ll show you what I''ve just came up myself, my original technique.¡± (Asellus)
I had a savage grin on my face upon hearing that. A new technique? Well, that¡¯s interesting, I want to see how well that technique would work on me!
I stood ready as well. After all, this should be her greatest move, I should be all the more serious about this.
¡°[Fluere Regina].¡± (Asellus)
Her arms¡.disappeared.
¡°Eh?¡± (Gideon)
In that brief moment of hesitation, where I couldn¡¯t process what just occurred before my very eyes, she covered the distance between us, and I was assaulted with tens, no, hundreds, maybe even a thousand of blows within mere seconds.
Punches after punches, strikes after strikes approaching from all angles plummeted upon me. The punches themselves are lighter, a lot lighter than before, but there is absolutely no way for me to block attacks of such speed, especially not when it¡¯s the first time I''ve see this attack.
The very instant I took the first hit from Asellus, I was already trapped in this maelstrom of blows, without any means of escaping!
For a brief instant, the punches stopped. I tried to gain back my footing and retreat a few steps away, hoping to reduce my disadvantage.
¡°¡[Thylacinus Collisus]!¡± (Asellus)
But before I could do anything, a fist flew out from Asellus, with an impact as powerful as a cannon, aimed right at my solarplexus. This punch is significantly slower than the hundreds of punches she lashed out at me, but at my current state I couldn''t do anything by myself to avoid this incoming strike!
¡°¡Eva!¡± (Gideon)
(I¡¯m on it!) (Eva)
At this point, Eva transformed the silver arm into a curved shield just in time, diverting away some of the impact of her attack. Still, even with that I could still feel a shock-wave going through my entire being, as the impact of the punch sent me flying a few steps from my original location. I couldn''t get back up for the next few minutes or so from the damage I took.
Meanwhile, Asellus had also collapsed onto her knees from exhaustion. Having stopped [Bloodfury], the claw wounds on her arms disappeared in a blink of an eye, as her arms returned back to her normal, human size.
Now that I¡¯m lying on the floor and not moving about, I can think more clearly. Those two attacks of hers is the combined ability of [Bloodfury] and [Tiger Rampage], it seems.
[Fluere Regina] focuses most of her energy on attacking speed while still keeping the attack power reasonably strong enough to keep the target locked up in the torrent of blows.
[Thylacinus Collisus] on the other hand, maximizes the attacking strength for one, extremely powerful hit, while keeping the speed of the attack reasonably high enough, to take the target out potentially.
Both of them have their own weaknesses, but when combined together in a combo, it¡¯s practically invincible and nearly sure-kill for the unprepared.
¡With this combo, It¡¯s like she just became the ultimate anti-personnel fighter. And to think that, she came up with this two attacks and combined them into a combo in less than 24 hours? She¡¯s the true monster here. To think that in a short span of 2 weeks, our combat capability are nearly equal¡It¡¯s kind of annoying to think about it!
¡°Arhhhh! Are you trying to kill me?!¡± (Gideon)
After resting and rolling in pain for awhile, I jumped up and shouted at Asellus, who is still resting on her knees, her arms still reddened and sore. It seems that the backlash from the combo technique is quite terrible. After all, with her regenerative capabilities, it is still not fully healed up yet.
¡°¡But you told me not to hold back. My arms still hurts.¡± (Asellus)
¡°Okay fine, it¡¯s my fault. I underestimated your capabilities; I didn''t expect you to have developed two new techniques, and perfected them so well and quickly within such a short span of time.¡± (Gideon)
¡°Well¡it just kind of came to me. I tried it out awhile, rested, and trained awhile, and rest again, and so on after. I didn¡¯t hurt this bad until I had to hit something physically¡look, I can only move it this much now because it¡¯s so painful.¡± (Asellus)
She tried to move her arms up and down, but with little success, and only managing to move her arms up slightly above the waist level.
Really? She just thought of a move or two and trained awhile until perfection? Damn it, Is she one of those ¡°once in a thousand years¡± kind of genius? Or is this the power of [Absorption]?
To think it would be this much of an advantage¡along with power boost, the wielder would even obtain a skill that have some form of innate mastery already. Coupled with the natural capability of Asellus, she¡¯s quite the cheat.
I wonder¡did Vergil knew about her talent beforehand?
¡°Oh yeah, just now¡you shouted ¡°Eva¡±, didn''t you? Who or what is this¡Eva?¡± (Asellus)
¡°Huh? Hmm, how do I being to explain this¡¡± (Gideon)
(Master, allow me to explain this, if you have to do it, it would take awhile.) (Eva)
(But how? I thought you could only talk with me in this manner?) (Gideon)
(I never said that. Allow me¡) (Eva)
Then to my surprise, my entire silver right arm melted away and detached itself from me, and slowly formed into a 150cm tall girl with short, silver hair.
¡°Whoa¡¡± (Asellus)
¡°Nice to meet you, my name is Eva!¡± (Eva)
Chapter 22 - Paths of Vengeance
Hey all, another chapter for you guys!
Nothing much from me, except rants (which I think so one likes hearing) so yeah enjoy this release!
As usual, if you like my novel do rate it well and leave a review!
Asellus POV:
I am just a common countryside girl you can find anywhere else, plain looking and simple in every way. My parents were farmers, so as the only child I helped them out on the fields as soon as the age of ten.
Even as a kid, I learned things at a very fast rate. By the first year of tending to the crops, I''ve completely learned and memorized the types of crops, the estimated amount of yield and the specifics of how to take care of each crop, as taught by my dad. By the second year, I had refined and improved on what my dad has taught me and helped to increase the amount of yield.
When I told them my methods, they were very happy and praised me. I was happy about it too.
Life was hard, but we''re happy and never had a day of hunger.
When we had too much food, my parents will sell them cheaper or give them away for free, as we peddle our goods to sell in nearby villages or towns. My parents were kindhearted people, and i''m very proud of them.
This lifestyle carried on until I was fifteen. On that very day, everything changed when a beautiful carriage went over the road next to our crop farm. I was tending to the crop at that very moment, hence I had a clear view of it. As someone who never seen much of the world before, the carriage was quite the sight to behold, and I was mesmerized by it.
Then, the carriage stopped, and a beautiful man came out of the carriage, looking straight at me. For an instance i felt slightly charmed by his looks but then, fear took over. I didn''t understand it at that moment, but instinctively, I knew that whatever lies within the pretty face of his hides deep and scary..."things".
It was afterwards then I knew that this man is the Leader of the Mystics, Vergil and the "things" within him are the beings that he had absorbed...
I let my instincts take over and rushed towards my parents in fear, hiding behind them. Then, my life completely changed at that point of time...
-------------------
"80 Silv, that''s my offer." (Vergil)
"We''re honored, Vergil-sama, but our daughter...to us she''s priceless! Please, let our family go, we''re just a simple, small family of three..." (Dad)
The two ladies next to him, which I would come to know as his consorts, gave a terrifying glare as my dad rejected his offer. It was as though as they wanted to say something, but Vergil raised his arm to stop her, and gave another higher offer.
"...2 Gel." (Vergil)
For us, 2 Gel would be enough to live plentifully for the next 10 years. However, this person offered it to us like it was merely pocket change to the likes of him.
"Vergil-sama! No amount of money is going to let me separate my daughter from our family! Please show some mercy-" (Dad)
Before my dad could finish his sentence, his body was pierced through multiple times, in an instant, with a knife that''s materialized within Vergil''s hand.
"[Jack the Ripper]." (Vergil)
"Dear!" (Mom)
"Dad" (Asellus)
Blood spurted out of the knife wounds as he fell to the floor, supported by his palms. We knew that, no matter what we do, it would be of no point, with such severe wounds on him. My mom cried, as she repeatedly called my dad''s name as she hugged her. As for me, I stood there, petrified and slumped down to my knees.
"Girl, come with us and I''ll not only heal your father, but i''ll end your parent''s hardship. If you don''t, I''ll ensure you that every living being within a mile will perish along with your parents. Make your decision." (Vergil)
What other choices do I have? I looked over to my parents; my dad bleeding profusely and my mom crying my dad''s name in sadness and fear. I shook my head as an attempt to shake away some fear.
"...I''ll come along! So...please, heal my dad!" (Asellus)
"Swear it, swear upon your very blood that you''ll join me, as a fellow Mystic!" (Vergil)
"I will! I''ll do anything! Please, my dad...he''s dying!" (Asellus)
A faint smirk appeared on his face for an instant, as he heard me say those words.
"A wise decision. Rei, do it." (Vergil)
"As you command, Vergil-sama." (Rei)
The one known as Rei stepped forward and stared at the direction of my parents, her face filled with detest, looking at my parents as though as they''re no more than just mere bugs. A terrible premonition swept upon me, and I tried to rush forwards to my parents.
However, before I can make more than a step, Vergil suddenly appeared and grabbed me from behind while caressing me and sniffing my neck in a extremely uncomfortable manner. I struggled to break free, but it was of no use at all. With ease, he lifted me off the ground.
"[Petrify]." (Rei)
The wings of a cockatrice spread out from her back. With a slight wave of the wings, countless feathers flew out and aimed themselves towards my mom and dad. Before I could utter a word, and before they could react, the feathertip have already struck them, turning the areas that have been struck into stone...
"Mom...Dad...? But...you promised to...?" (Asellus)
"I promised to end your parents'' hardships and to heal your dad. See? He isn''t bleeding anymore, and they will never have to suffer anymore as well, as rock statues." (Vergil)
"No...NO! This, this isn''t what we had promised!" (Asellus)
"Promises? I''m a Mystic, why would I keep my promises with a human? To us, you are mere bugs. Would you make a promise to a bug?" (Vergil)
Tears streamed down my face, as I realized my current predicament and the fact that i''m powerless to stop it from happening. In the midst of despair, I gave up struggling and my arms and legs went limp. At that moment, Vergil bit onto the back of my neck with his fangs and I can feel...something warm flowing into my bloodstream, while my blood trickled out of the teeth wound.
After awhile, when I can feel my body heating up, he removed his fangs from me and handed me to the other female Mystic standing next to him. With the Mystic''s blooding, my consciousness begins to fade.
"Mom...dad...." (Asellus)
"Take care of her for me, Lione. From now onward, she''ll be one of us; be sure to treat her as such." (Vergil)
"I understand, Vergil-sama." (Lione)
"Hmm hmm... with this, our Mystic clan shall prosper! Though it feel detestable to listen to the words of one who calls himself God, if it will bring us power, it''s worth it! Let''s leave this place at once, I''ve dirtied myself long enough in human soil." (Vergil)
Those were the last words I heard before I fell unconscious, with the last thing I see being the stone figures of my parents moving further away from my sight...
-------------------------------
Needless to say, for the next few months after that I was awake, I grieved over the sudden lost of my family and the changes of my body.
My hair began to turn green. My strength and stamina had multiplied many-folds, as I can feel...power, the power that''s similar to that of what I felt of Vergil, and his consorts.
Though there was little physical changes, I knew that I wasn''t....human anymore.
I''m a monster. The same kind that robbed the lives of my family.
Everyday, servants would some over and help me in every way. It seems that i''m considered as Vegil''s consort, as part of his...harem of sorts. Though he never did come and have his way with me, the mere though of it disgusts me.
You could be reading stolen content. Head to the original site for the genuine story.
Akin of that to royalty within the Mystics, the servants seemed terrified whenever I rejected their assistance, and pleaded for me to allow them to help. Feeling some sense of pity for them, eventually I allowed them to provide me with assistance suitably. After all, I do not need help with feeding myself, though a prepared bath is rather...convenient.
After a year, I finally got myself back together, somewhat. I knew that if I wanted revenge somehow, I needed more strength than this. Even with my current enhanced strength, compared to that of Vergil I''m no less than a bug, easily squashed and gotten rid off.
I require power. A stronger technique, efficient fighting skills and unparalleled speed.
Therefore, for the first time after a year of constant nagging from Lione, I received combat training.
Lione is the second consort of Vergil, and one of the strongest in terms of swordsmanship and combat skills. Her lessons lasts a few days every time, ranging from two days to five days. Even with the high stamina of Mystics, I barely finish her lessons without being mentally and physically exhausted.
I may say lessons, but it was more akin to a training schedule from hell. Repeated sword swings, basic close combat training, and real life combat with wild monsters with only a common short-sword as my primary weapon.
Many times, the notion of giving up did run pass my mind. However, I know that until the day I get my revenge, my heart will never find peace.
For my parents, and for myself, I have to get stronger and kill the bastard who turn me into this...this monster!
During the third lesson, as i''m fighting against monsters as part of combat training, a powerful monster known as the Grand Marshal Tiger appeared, much to the surprise of the both of us.
After all, we weren''t very deep into the area where monsters commonly appear, so it was very uncommon for a monster of such strength to appear. In fact, it was way out of the ordinary, much too unusual.
Regardless, with the combined efforts of the both of us, we managed to defeat the Grand Marshal Tiger, with me dealing the final blow by plunging the sword straight through its skull.
Then, the most miraculous thing of all happened. The Grand Marshal Tiger''s body began to glow, as it disintegrated into countless sparkling dust and faded away. After that, my body that was exhausted from the fight instantly became less fatigue, and I can feel myself recovering in a faster rate.
I looked at Lione, wanting to know what just happened. But as I looked at her, she gave make a look that''s mixed with surprise and envy.
"No way...you received your first synchronization, just like this? This is...simply..." (Lione)
For an instant, it was as though I could feel her rage seeping out of her. Then, she turned around and walked off. Not wanting to be left alone in a monster-infested area, I followed her back. I never had another training session with Lione ever again.
After the incident, things got a little weird.
Firstly, most of my wounds that day healed within 12 hours, and my physical capabilities improved by leaps and bounds. Then, I have gain complete knowledge of the fighting technique and style of the Grand Marshal Tiger, as though I have trained it in for my entire life.
The me right now, can be said to be overwhelmingly more powerful as compared to before.
Maybe, just maybe, if I wanted revenge, perhaps I have a chance now?
Of course, nothing was ever this simple. How ignorant I felt, as I stood before Vergil once more, 1 year after our last meeting.
If I were to place myself as a unit of 100 strength, he''ll be 400.
I always knew there''s a gap in our strength, yet for it to be this huge, even after a huge boost in power...tsk!
"For you to come over to me on your own accord this soon, does this mean that you''ll submit to me after all, my consort?" (Vergil)
Soon? It''s been more than a whole year. Mystics sure live a long live, don''t they?
"Never. I might still be weaker than you, but eventually i''ll defeat you and take my revenge." (Asellus)
"Ahahaha! If it''s anyone else that says this, I''ll kill them right there and then. But you''re different. In a sense, I need you and it is not to my advantage if you keep defying me like this. How about this, if you can just hit me hard enough to simply make me change my expression, I''ll do whatever you say, sounds fair?" (Vergil)
"Ha. For a lowly consort like me? For my fangs to be able to reach the likes of the Mystic clan leader? Surely you overestimate my capabilities." (Asellus)
"Hoo, so even you know your place. Fine, I''ll give you one additional concession. Within ten years, I permit you to challenge me, once, at anytime. Hit me once, hard enough, and I''ll listen to you. Fair enough?" (Vergil)
"I accept your challenge. My punch...shall end you." (Asellus)
"I''m looking forward to it, try if you can...and submit to my superiority." (Vergil)
With that, I started my own training, improvised from what Lione had taught me and spurred on by my hatred for Vergil. However, self-taught training can only get me so far, and before long, I reached a bottle-neck in terms of improvement.
Therefore, for the first time in 3 months after I had gotten my first [Absorption], I left Mystic grounds and found a few brave kidnappers after walking quite a distance away. I managed to fool them into tricking I''m a gullible Mystic that fell for their trap, in order to get a free ride to human lands. After all, I may find a master of combat there, that will help train me somehow.
Then as you know it, Gideon "ruined" the plan and the rest is history...
------------------
"Ahhh...I see now. You poor thing! That Vergil guy seems like a low-life nasty fellow who deserves a good whooping!" (Eva)
"The worst kind." (Asellus)
"Revenge, huh...Alright, I promised to help, and I''ll go through with it all the way. It''s just that, the objective now isn''t just to punch him on the face once, right?" (Gideon)
"You''re right. What I really wanted is...to finish him off." (Asellus)
"We may have different goals, and I really don''t want to kill another one of the [Six] but...on one condition." (Gideon)
"And what would that be?" (Asellus)
"Should we be successful, grant me three wishes." (Gideon)
"Very well." (Asellus)
"Huh? You''re not going to even ask what the wishes are?" (Asellus)
"Unnecessary. It''s a fact that I require your strength in this quest, and that I...trust you; at the very least, I know that you aren''t a bad guy after all." (Asellus)
"Hmph, at long as you hold on to your side of the promise!" (Gideon)
"Hey! Don''t doubt Asellus, she''s a nice girl." (Eva)
"And whose side are you on, anyway?! Get back here, you!" (Gideon)
"Hey, ouch ouch ouch! Alright I get it! Sheesh, do you need to be so rough on me...such a troublesome master." (Eva)
Eva once again melted down into a puddle of silver liquid and reformed back as my arm. It''s god to have both limbs back again!
"Ahhh...that''s interesting." (Asellus)
"Yeah, she''s a great artifact." (Gideon)
(You mean, the best!) (Eva)
(Yeah, yeah, sure.) (Gideon)
(Heyyyy!) (Eva)
Once again, we went back to the village for a good nights rest, before heading out further deeper into Mystic lands...

Hi there guys,
Sorry I was on hiatus for so long; there was some family complications that I don''t wish to discuss too much but simply put - no one ever supports a writer, even as a hobby.
But now, the air is down and I can finally write without much distractions in life, so i''m back in action, hopefully forever this time!
I really hated the fact I let you guys down, and even had to tear down my wordpress, and so, i have now moved to http://kobatochandaisuki.com
