My body move towards the glass doors until I go through it entirely and what lays upon me is an enormous room that is capable of storing about 4 rooms in 1. For this specific Kingdom the name originated when the God of Darkness, Lunark who had contacted the first ever humans had told them to follow him as he would brings gifts and whatnot. As they listen to his request and followed it, he gave a weapon to the ruler of the group which was forged personally by the God of Darkness and used to fight off their foes. Chapter 1 Preparing everything for the big plan In this world called Moris, mana is perceived as an mysterious thing in your soul that gives you powers to bend the force of nature at will. It gives us abilities that would make our lives easier or dangerous depending on your views. I wanted to find out more of this magic, since it seems entertaining finding out what makes magic ticks at times. For me, it''s been a blast whenever I go on adventures with my childhood friends and find out through that way, but now it''s just all paper work here and there. So, I have a plan to get out of this mess that I got myself stuck into but I have to wait a little bit till the afternoon before I start the plan. My thoughts were going through the process of revising and editing before I opened my eyes and went to the wall holding my box. Getting everything that is needed I notify my butler that I was finished putting on all my clothes from the legs up to my shoulders and what other tools that are necessary. It felt like the longest seconds of my life as I waited for the reply back to my confession of guilt. Erwin looked at me through his blindfolds and started snickering at me with his hand on his mouth. "Mistress do you really expect me to go walking around in a blindfold? Who do you think I am? My plans won''t blossom if I just stay at my home for the entire day and it sure as hell wouldn''t help me accomplish my goal of advancing my experiments in magic while having a some fun. So, since I have time before I go off to the meeting I decided to go to the laboratory and do a couple of things before going to the palace. Erwin stopped slumping over from my small lecture and looked at the sentries as if he was about to say something and stopped. He took a sigh before following me through the hallways until we reached a large facility that holds multiple reinforced glass squares. Each of them containing a prisoners that have done numerous atrocities that I dislike such as rapist, serial killers, bandits, and many more. The scientist here uses these vermin to test out some of the more dangerous spells for humans and let me tell you they don''t usually live afterwards. The ratio for living is about every 1 out of 500 people survive in this facility and you might call this inhumane but I call it progress. Well, this is the boring way of experimenting with magic, sure you are making faster progress but I want to do it by going on adventures, maybe try to snatch myself a dragon kill or something. I thought to myself as one of my automaton maid walked towards me with papers in her hand with closed eyes. Marielle is an ancient automaton with black long hair with blue eyes as I had found her in a ruin somewhere in the Lebion region. Finally, I accomplish everything that is needed to be finished and walked off with my 2 servants following me from behind. We went in a hallway that leads to a garage with a carriage in it. Erwin opened the white door so, I can go in the carriage with Marielle following right behind me. The carriage was first class as it had soft seats and a magic enchantment which was placed on it to make the passengers feel almost no tremor feeling when they moved around. Everything to pillows for sleeping and a cooler for drinks when the mouth of the passengers went dry along they way. The carriage itself has a magic spell to keep at a cozy warm temperature when it snows or if it''s too hot. Marielle sat in front of me while I sat right behind her but the seats were facing each other as we are a couple of feet away from each other to give optimal space for the other sitting party. I relaxed my should after sitting down on the comfortable nice seats that made me feel great. Erwin sat in the front of the carriage to guide the well trained stallions that would put war horses to shame with how much stamina and speed they have on them. If you were to put these horses into a war than they would be smart enough to dodge spikes and at the same time keep the rider from falling off. The horses are practically some of the best I have but today will be a important day for me. We started moving after Erwin guided the horses on the road to begin traveling towards the royal palace. Beginning to move, I decided to ask the automaton on what was life back then in the ancient times, but she would hardly answer some of my question. For some reason, she looked out of the reinforce window with curtains to cover the inside and sighed. "Well, it was always quite fun back in those times when master would treat me like his equal and made everything seem brighter."-Marielle I looked at her as she for the first time had made a extremely happy face for a long extended of time before going back to the poker face she wore. "No, no it''s fine you have been treating me like we are equal and you are someone that should deserve respect."-Marielle She said with quickness as if returning the apology back to me. Chapter 2 Now let us begin the plan Erwin being the idiot he was rushed towards a small girl with black hair and rags for clothing as she was getting beaten up by a middle age man with a stick. "How dare you steal from me you stupid brat!"-Middle age man A small crowd of people turned up but only like 5 or 6 people here and there but the rest just ignored the girl being beaten as they are already used to it. Ah. I forgot Erwin is a goody to shoes when it comes to children and poor people, so I just watched from the side. Erwin even sticking to me had made me baffles, at what makes me so special that he would get down on his knees to serve me. I smiled to myself as Marielle seem to know the reason for my smile. It basically let them do whatever they want and so it leads to a political power struggle between the nobles. There are 2 different powerful factions that are at the moment battling it out. Since, I am the Head Director of the Magic development and Magic Tools I have a lot of power in this country, making me someone that is a must to get for the 2 other factions. If I were to illustrate how he would fight, it would be like a magic knight who uses his sword to fight at close range as he would use magic to either trick up his opponent or get into a range fighting position. To be honest, he is more on the magician side if I were to say anything because he has that rare talent that doesn''t appear so often which is chant less magic. It is when a person is able to use a spell without the usage of chants to help them create a spell. Meaning that it''s someone that uses their imagination to create the spell. This might sound easy but the it is incredibly difficult because of the reasoning that not many people learn science. Without understanding what creates fire without the usage of magic or how water is created you won''t be able to succeed. For these reason, no one was able to comprehend the chant less magic spell but me and Rin. Rin said that he read it in a book before but I don''t buy the story since, scientific books nowadays are kept secret in the libraries of the grand magicians have. Well, he might of been like me and stealthily broke into the grand libraries. It would of been more believable, if I didn''t know of his habit of always looking away whenever he lied. So, I question myself on what secrets he is keeping under that hat of his but I since he is my friend I thought otherwise. "Hey! Rin how are you doing!?"-Cordelia I said cheerfully as my eyes lied on his beautiful azure eyes. "Well, yea that basically sums up the whole situation."-Rin I walked out of the carriage and smiled to myself as the situation was going as planned and talked about trivial things with Rin, Erwin, and Marielle following right behind me. Looking through all of this only made my bored as I crossed through the narrow hallways. I can see Erwin confused by the situation and looked at us from the back as his eyes wondered between me and Marielle. Well, I was invited to join them before, but decline as I saw that it was unnecessary for me to put my loyalty under one person. The nobility thought that my Elite Body Guard and Marielle was here trying to help them, and everyone near the king made a sigh of relief as they were thinking that my Body Guards were here to secure the area. Everyone was relieved, but General Lancaster as he stared straight at my guard with his right hand on the saber he had still sheathed. I clapped my hands slowly as I walked down the stairs where my guards were and position my body near Marielle. The nobles seem to be catching on as they stared at me with eyes of disgust and fright amongst them. Rin looked at me with confusion, as Lancaster stared at me with eyes full of hostility. "What is the meaning of this Cordelia Lorain!?!"-Lancaster Lancaster was the first one to say something as his eyes locked on to mine as if tempting me to make the first move. It happened so many times that it forced me to put Marielle on guard duty to defend against him. Also, he only helps in fights when there is a country annihilating ours. So, I thought that he would do the same thing but forgot that he would always pick a fight with me. Multiple chain like things came from the ground and underneath Arnold''s feet. Completely caught off guard by the chains, he panicked and shot out a spear made out of darkness at it. Using that brief moment of an opening I used an ice spell called [Ice Prison] and froze his body which could now be called nothing but a chunk of ice. He isn''t able to beat me as I am basically a master at chant less magic compared to his mediocre skills at it. But with his incantation he could of probably made it even against me that Is if I didn''t use [Incantation Disruption] than we would of been even. The only that I can consider good about him in chant less magic combat is that he used some of skills wisely. Like his [Storage] skill to suck up my flame and throw it right back but other than that he is absolutely slow when it came to getting a magic prepared. In that moment I clashed my ice sword with his adamantine magic enchanted rapier. That just means I enchanted this ice rapier to the absolute limit and by the fact that I''m the strongest magician in this whole entire country makes it much more of a factor. Well, if I were to add my own enchants on Rin''s sword I''m pretty sure it will reach legendary status. I used the ice category for my magic skills for the reason that I don''t want to keep changing elements or else it will hurt my head. I only did it for Arnold to confuse him with using different magic spells but for Rin it will not work because of his insanely adaptable fighting style he has. If I try anything against him, it will be shut down or counteracted. So, my only way of beating him now is sticking to my one ice magic set that is basically the bane of his fire skills other than water. We looked at each other for a second before he quickly followed up his attack and ducked a horizontal slash that I used. He didn''t get out of my magic unscathed as his hands were frozen solid from the attack, basically making him unable to attack using his rapier that is on the floor. I thought he would run away at this point but what he did next completely caught me off guard. "[Explosion]!"-Rin That goddamn crazy stupid ass sucking bitch had just poured most of his mana into that spell just now! It shot him towards me with his ice blocked hands coming right at me, I wasn''t able to react to the sudden insane act and was unable to stop it as everything right behind was a fireball. I thought he just blew up the whole entire palace but realized it was condensed into a small fireball explosion so no one else got involve with it. He used his ice blocks to smash my mana shield, but was unable to stop his momentum as he came speeding towards me. He crashed into me, as I felt my whole entire body feels shaky and I opened my eyes to see him kissing me? I looked at him and blinked a few times before he opened his eyes as well.
